- 0:21Speaker 1: Come out of the wilderness prayer.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I'm back, y'all is Shelley and I just wanted to say man, god is so good.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I feel like I'm having a little bit of an out of body experience this morning.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I'm just going to bring y'all into it, but before we go further, I wanted to just say, lord, just have your way.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Holy Spirit, this is your space, your place and whatever it is that you have to show us and teach us.
- 0:49Speaker 1: We want that.
- 0:49Speaker 1: So, for those of y'all who are watching, and just ask you to just pause where you are right now and just thank the Lord for this day.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Thank the Lord that he's brought you here.
- 1:01Speaker 1: If you're listening to this live, or you're catching the replay, or you're listening to this on the podcast later this week, wherever you get your podcast, you're meant to hear this message and, as one that is really filled with love and hope and you know, I'm just excited for what the Holy Spirit is going to do so I pray that the Holy Spirit will will speak to your heart in the way that you need to hear from him, so that you'll get what you need out of this these next 10, 15 minutes with me, okay, or have a long we go.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I also want to say good morning everybody who's watching on a different platform so Facebook, linkedin, youtube, x, forming the known as Twitter and definitely want to say hi to the folks who are watching live on Parade Deck TV, live on their fake channel.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So, good morning everybody and make sure, good morning.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I can't see names, so here's a quick shout out God bless it.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Yes, good morning everybody.
- 2:02Speaker 1: So today we're going to be talking about help and a lot of us, at some point in our lives, we need help.
- 2:09Speaker 1: So, whether you're a mom helping a child or a dad helping your kids, your family, maybe you're someone in a job helping a coworker or maybe, quite frankly, is just you and your situation.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Okay, maybe it's just you and you need some help.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I'm going to talk to you about a script, and I know I've covered this before.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I know I've talked about some 121 before.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning.
- 2:38Speaker 1: But there is always I don't care how strong you are, I don't care how smart you are, I don't care how anointed you are, I don't care how blessed you are you are going to come into a season where you need help and you're definitely going to come into a season where you need supernatural help or you need help from the Lord, where men meaning us humans can't give you what you need.
- 3:04Speaker 1: And when you come to that point in your journey because, again, this is this is life, this is when life is life in I want to share a couple of a couple of passages.
- 3:17Speaker 1: So we're going to go into Psalm 121.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I'm going to share my screen, but I'm going to walk you through just a couple of passages that truly have blessed me and what the Lord showed me many, many years ago.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Honestly, I think my mom is long past, but I believe I got Psalm 121 from her.
- 3:35Speaker 1: She wrote out this is a cool thing to do for parents, especially parents of teens.
- 3:41Speaker 1: She just wrote out about five or six scriptures that I've kept with me for many, many years, and they were just ones that I could go back and lean on when I needed help.
- 3:53Speaker 1: So this is one of those legacy type help that I'll be sharing with y'all.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Okay, all right, so I'm going to present my screen, because it is just easier that way If you don't have your Bibles in front of you.
- 4:05Speaker 1: That's all good.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And so I'm going to share and I'm going to come out of the ESV version, because that's how I roll, and we're going to go into Psalm 121.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And I'm going to read this out, but I want you to receive this.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I want you to really receive this with your heart.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I want you to think about or, yeah, no, think about.
- 4:26Speaker 1: You know, as you're hearing these words, as I'm releasing the scripture to you, that you're placing yourself in front of the Lord and this is your prayer to Him.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I want you to open your heart so that you can hear what he's telling you directly and not necessarily what I'm saying.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I want you to hear from Him and not me, right?
- 4:45Speaker 1: So, psalm 121,.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I lift up my eyes to the hills, for where does my help come?
- 4:51Speaker 1: My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth, and so we're going to pause right here.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I love this reassurance and a reminder, because a lot of times, we are looking for our help to come from friends.
- 5:03Speaker 1: We're looking for our help to come from our bosses.
- 5:06Speaker 1: We are looking for our help, for our help to come from even doctors, you know even.
- 5:11Speaker 1: You know professionals in different fields.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Right, we're looking for manmade help, and there are going to be situations.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Yes, you will get help in that way, but there are going to be some times when you need you need more than that.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Okay, you need the Creator, not the creation, to help you.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Does that make sense?
- 5:30Speaker 1: So my help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
- 5:33Speaker 1: The word says that he will not let your foot be moved.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I love that because sometimes he's put you in specific situations and you want, you really want, to stay on that path, and when I think about my foot not being moved, it means that I'm aligned.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I'm still in alignment to the path and journey that he has me on.
- 5:55Speaker 1: There are times when you're on that path and things are going to come to stir up stuff.
- 5:59Speaker 1: There are tests that come, there are adversities that come, there are things that come to kind of shake you.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Life is lifeing right, like I said, but he won't let you fall off the path.
- 6:10Speaker 1: What he's called you to do, what he's created you to be all of those things he will not let your foot be moved.
- 6:15Speaker 1: He who keeps you will not slumber.
- 6:18Speaker 1: He's not sleeping right, he's woke, as the kids say.
- 6:22Speaker 1: All right, he's always, he's here, he's available all the time.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And the word goes to say behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Right, the Lord is your keeper.
- 6:34Speaker 1: The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Your right hand is a hand of authority and power.
- 6:40Speaker 1: So he's the shade on your right, your shade on your right hand.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And when I think about that, the shade on my right hand means like hey, he's literally right there, he's a shade on my right hand.
- 6:49Speaker 1: The sun shall not strike you by day, or the moon by night.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So nothing that's happening, whether it's you know in full view or it's happening in secret at night, where you can't see it right, none of those things.
- 7:03Speaker 1: The sun shall not strike you by day or the moon by night.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Why?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Because he's our keeper.
- 7:08Speaker 1: The Lord will keep you from all evil.
- 7:10Speaker 1: He will keep your life, he will keep you from your going out, your coming in.
- 7:15Speaker 1: From this time forth and forevermore, he will keep you.
- 7:18Speaker 1: He will keep you, he will keep you.
- 7:20Speaker 1: There are times when you just need to remember that.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Man, lord, I thank you that you're going to keep me from all evil.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I thank you that you're going to keep me from wherever I'm going, going to where I'm coming from.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I thank you that you're the shade on my right hand, right, you'll never leave me.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You never leave me.
- 7:37Speaker 1: So this is Psalm 121.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I want to just share this one.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I have another Psalm that I wanted to cover with y'all, but this one, I think, is so powerful when you're in that place where it's not a situation where you need man-made help, you really need to go to, again, like I say, you need to go to the Creator, the creation.
- 7:58Speaker 1: All right, so now let me show you another one, another Psalm that has been really helpful for me, and this is another powerful reminder.
- 8:09Speaker 1: This is Psalm 54, esv version that I'm sharing for those who are going to be listening to the podcast later this week.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Psalm 54 goes this way says oh God, save me by your name, save me by your name and vindicate me by your might.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Save me by your name.
- 8:30Speaker 1: A lot of believers, you know, we say you know by your name and we call on the name of Jesus and listen.
- 8:39Speaker 1: A lot of us, you know, use it like it's a comma in a sentence.
- 8:43Speaker 1: You know, just saying Jesus doesn't get you everything.
- 8:47Speaker 1: It's not a genie, that's not how it works.
- 8:50Speaker 1: There is power actually in the name of Jesus and so, saving by your name when I think about or what the Holy Spirit tells me about saving me by your name.
- 9:01Speaker 1: When I say save me by your name, it's understanding the authority that the Lord has over my life, which means I would have had a surrendered life.
- 9:10Speaker 1: So when I'm calling on him to save me, he recognized who I am because I had already surrendered myself to him.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Imagine if you're drowning literally in water and you're yelling save me, save me.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And you know folks are walking by.
- 9:23Speaker 1: As a difference, when you call save me, save me, and he says save me, and Rike.
- 9:26Speaker 1: And Rike is walking by and Rike recognizes me.
- 9:29Speaker 1: He knows my voice and he responds Save me by your name, save me Jesus.
- 9:35Speaker 1: And he recognizes me.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I know his name and he saves me.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Right, so think about it that way.
- 9:40Speaker 1: And he says vindicate me by your might, and again, not me, not my power by your might.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Oh God, hear my prayer and give ears to the words of my mouth Like what are we saying y'all?
- 9:52Speaker 1: For strangers have risen up against me.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Ruthless men seek my life.
- 9:57Speaker 1: They do not set God before themselves.
- 9:59Speaker 1: So these are situations where you have it could be spiritual enemies, literally.
- 10:04Speaker 1: You know you could be going through those types of attacks, or it could be just y'all, it could just be people.
- 10:09Speaker 1: It could just be people you know who are kind of scheming against you all kinds of crazy stuff happening or just situations, right.
- 10:16Speaker 1: But verse four reminds us God is our helper.
- 10:19Speaker 1: He's the upholder of my life.
- 10:21Speaker 1: He will return the evil to my enemies y'all.
- 10:25Speaker 1: You don't have to try to figure out how you're going to do payback.
- 10:28Speaker 1: You don't have to figure out.
- 10:30Speaker 1: You know, someone slided me and I got to figure out how I'm going to get back to him.
- 10:33Speaker 1: You don't have to traffic in that mess.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Just know that the Lord is going to take care of it.
- 10:38Speaker 1: He is my helper.
- 10:40Speaker 1: He's literally upholding my life.
- 10:42Speaker 1: But why am I fighting things that he's got covered?
- 10:45Speaker 1: Why are you doing that?
- 10:46Speaker 1: He will return the evil to my enemies and in his faithfulness he puts an end to that.
- 10:53Speaker 1: He's faithful With a free, willing offering.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I will sacrifice to you.
- 10:58Speaker 1: What are you sacrificing to the Lord?
- 10:59Speaker 1: Listen, this free will offering that we're talking about right here.
- 11:04Speaker 1: It's not your cash, it's not a cash app to Jesus.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It's not how many times you go to church, it's not what building you worship in, it's not how fancy, how beautiful you look in the best church output.
- 11:16Speaker 1: It's none of that.
- 11:17Speaker 1: That offering comes from your heart.
- 11:19Speaker 1: That's your heart.
- 11:20Speaker 1: That's a heart posture, that's literally a heart posture.
- 11:23Speaker 1: And giving your heart to him, that's what he wants A free will offering.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Not coming to the Lord like, well, I guess, because I need your help, I'm going to have to.
- 11:34Speaker 1: It's not.
- 11:35Speaker 1: It's freely, freely, freely giving your heart.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I will sacrifice to you and I will give thanks to your name.
- 11:42Speaker 1: There are again, there are times when we're going through some things recalling on the Lord for help, and it's so amazing that the more you praise him, the more you hear from him, the more he blesses you, even in these situations that you're in.
- 11:54Speaker 1: So I will give thanks to your name, oh Lord, because?
- 11:57Speaker 1: Why?
- 11:57Speaker 1: Because it is good and he has delivered me from every trouble and my eye has looked in triumph on my enemies.
- 12:05Speaker 1: He's delivered you from some of the things that you're going through right now.
- 12:08Speaker 1: He's already answered those prayers and if we pause and ask, like Holy Spirit, I ask, holy Spirit, hey, bring back to memory, because sometimes the Lord saves us some stuff.
- 12:20Speaker 1: We forget about it and then we come back and go.
- 12:23Speaker 1: You know I'm in this situation again and you know, sometimes it's just so amazing the way that he'll bring back to memory that I have never left you, I will not forsake you.
- 12:32Speaker 1: You start doing those, remember when, keep a journal if you need to, if you need to document when the Lord has pulled you through some things, so you have a way to go back and remember when, so that you know you don't lose hope and you don't lose faith.
- 12:45Speaker 1: We again, I said I started out by saying we all need help.
- 12:50Speaker 1: When I started, before I started the live, I was in my you know, my own, my own worship.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I've been asking the Lord for a better relationship, a better relationship with the Holy Spirit.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I want.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I want to have the kind of relationship that is more tangible, that he is involved and for real, everything.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I want him as a friend.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I know the Lord as a Lord and I want the Lord as my friend and I just encourage y'all to do that.
- 13:19Speaker 1: One of the things that I find myself doing now is just having regular conversations, you know, coming out of the religious, religious atmosphere that we place in not the building, y'all, because you go to church, but you got to come into the parking lot.
- 13:34Speaker 1: You eventually got to leave the building.
- 13:35Speaker 1: But I want to have a better relationship with the Lord.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I want I want to know who he is and I want to know how he sees me through his eyes not what the world says about me, but what he says about me.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I want to understand my identity and my calling and my purpose, because I want to do some things in this earth before I'm removed from this earth.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I want to leave this place a better place than I find it.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I want to be a better pat, a colleague.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I want to be a better friend.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I want to be a better wife and mom.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I want to minister in a different way.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I want to teach his word.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I want him.
- 14:10Speaker 1: But all of those things that I'm saying, that I want, none of it happens without the Holy Spirit.
- 14:15Speaker 1: So I'm encouraging you don't just go to the Bible.
- 14:18Speaker 1: What I do, like cold, where you just grab a chapter, you go through some things, you grab a chapter, you jump into the word and and that's you know it's not magic.
- 14:27Speaker 1: You have to have a relationship with the Lord and the way that you do that is is opening your heart and if it starts with and I know you know a lot of us because we are going through so much.
- 14:39Speaker 1: People are going through some things right now.
- 14:42Speaker 1: There's a lot of people who are in waiting mode and there's a lot of people are waiting to hear from the Lord, a lot of people waiting to hear from Lord on the health issue and their businesses, on their jobs and their families.
- 14:54Speaker 1: There's a lot going on right now and if you're in this state right now in your life where you're waiting to hear from the Lord and you're crying out, lord, help me, help me.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I don't want you to lose hope that he's not hearing you.
- 15:06Speaker 1: He's hearing your cry, but I want to.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I just want to caution and and and say to you it is your heart posture, it is the way that you're entering into these ask.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Sometimes what you're thinking is a test and a challenge.
- 15:20Speaker 1: It's really a blessing.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Sometimes those, sometimes those nos are meant to bless you and when you get that, no, I don't want you to lose hope.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Just know that all things are working together for your good, for those who are called, there is a, there is a comma and some rest of them, some other stuff.
- 15:39Speaker 1: To that, to that verse right.
- 15:41Speaker 1: And in order for you to receive and understand all of these good things that are coming to you, you have to have a heart posture and got to have a relationship with the Lord.
- 15:48Speaker 1: It's more than listening to me on a podcast.
- 15:52Speaker 1: It's way more than going into church on Wednesday night prayer.
- 15:55Speaker 1: It's more than all of that.
- 15:57Speaker 1: You have to come into a personal relationship with the Lord.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I can talk about Jesus for hours, I promise you, because I have a relationship and because he demonstrates.
- 16:08Speaker 1: The Holy Spirit is always demonstrating for me through other people, through situations, through encounters, through all of those things.
- 16:15Speaker 1: That is because I have a heart posture where I genuinely ask for him.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Holy Spirit, I want to see you work.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Today, lord, I'm going through some things and I really need your help.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I don't know what to do, but, oh, I thank you that you're going to come into this situation and teach me something and I bless you and praise your name, even if I don't understand it, lord.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I thank you, lord, that all things are working together for my good and I thank you that you love me.
- 16:38Speaker 1: That is a different heart posture when you're going in and crying for help and don't wait till you need help, to ask for help.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I'm asking the Holy Spirit what should I wear today?
- 16:47Speaker 1: What should I eat?
- 16:48Speaker 1: What are we going?
- 16:49Speaker 1: How are we going to show up?
- 16:50Speaker 1: You know, he really wants to be a part of your every day, not just your problems.
- 16:56Speaker 1: He wants to be a part of your life.
- 16:57Speaker 1: So I really hope this blesses this was.
- 17:00Speaker 1: This was a short message, but this is what he gave me.
- 17:03Speaker 1: There's a lot of us who are standing in need right now of help.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Help comes from the Lord and, yes, he will send men and women around you.
- 17:13Speaker 1: He'll send what I call divine help to help you.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Right, he will send heavenly assistance, he will send help.
- 17:20Speaker 1: But you got to be in the heart posture where you actually first do believe that he loves you, do believe that he loves you.
- 17:27Speaker 1: And if you believe that he loves you, you'll understand that he's not put you in a situation to break you.
- 17:32Speaker 1: This situation that you're in is not going to break you.
- 17:35Speaker 1: These challenges and the season that you're in is not meant to destroy you.
- 17:39Speaker 1: It's meant to build you.
- 17:40Speaker 1: It's meant to draw you closer into a relationship with him so he can show you how he works.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Amen, y'all.
- 17:50Speaker 1: What a blessed day.
- 17:51Speaker 1: So thank you so much, y'all.
- 17:53Speaker 1: We're going to close out in prayer.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Lord, we just thank you, thank you for reminding us of the heart posture that we need as we're crying out to you for help because, lord, I know you always answer.
- 18:02Speaker 1: You answer all the time, holy Spirit.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I ask that you will open their ears and eyes so that they can hear more clearly, hear more clearly from you and see you in full operation, so that they'll know and they'll have a stronger spirit of discernment to understand when you're sending help and what help actually looks like.
- 18:21Speaker 1: So remind us that you're the keeper, right, you're the keeper, lord, and we just thank you for keeping us in every situation that we're in.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I pray over everyone who is watching, whether it's the live or the replay, whatever they're standing in need.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I stand in that gap now, lord, god, and I ask that you will touch their hearts and their lives, father, if it's material things, if it's financial things, if it's health, whatever it is that will become a distraction and remove them from you.
- 18:47Speaker 1: I ask that you remove every single distraction.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Anything that has been placed in front of them that becomes a distraction.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Lord, I ask that you remove it so that they can see the glory that you want to see in their lives, that they will see you the way that you see them, and that you'll provide.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Lord, you know hungry bellies can't hear you, so I pray over every family, lord, god, who needs you financially right now, people who are suffering because they have that kind of lack.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Lord, we are human, lord, and hungry bellies can't hear you, so I pray that you will just feel their hearts as you feel their stomachs, lord, because they need to give your, their full attention to you, and we are so easily distracted.
- 19:29Speaker 1: So I pray for the material needs for everyone under my voice, so that they will just come to see your blessing today, lord, today.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Thank you, lord, for this platform and I thank you that everyone who is watching will will receive what they need from you.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Amen, all right, amen.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Y'all.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Have a wonderful rest of your Thursday.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I will be back.
- 19:49Speaker 1: We have Monday night prayers.
- 19:51Speaker 1: We've got Tuesday night I'm sorry Monday morning prayers.
- 19:54Speaker 1: We got Tuesday night prayers.
- 19:56Speaker 1: We got Thursday morning prayers.
- 19:58Speaker 1: We've got events coming up.
- 19:59Speaker 1: We got a lot going on, so just try to keep up.
- 20:03Speaker 1: If you're looking for videos and replays, you can find a lot of things on the YouTube channel under Mrs Pi, under the spiritual playlist or trying to, you know, organize things, but we're in multiple places.
- 20:16Speaker 1: If you're looking for a prayer group to join in the in all descriptions, you're more than welcome to join the come out of the wilderness Facebook prayer group.
- 20:26Speaker 1: If you are not on Facebook and you want to hear some of those prayers and join that discussion, we also post a replay on the YouTube streets, so no one is missing out.
- 20:37Speaker 1: We're trying to feed, as the Lord told us.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Gather them up and feed and teach my people, so, so there's always a way for you to link in.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I don't accept cash out.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Thank you for thinking of me, but that's not.
- 20:49Speaker 1: It Just just um, just tap in, you know when you can, and take the word and study it for yourself and bless you.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Y'all have a great rest of the week and thank you so much.
