- 0:03Speaker 1: ten wo R. Filling in from Mark. Here again is
- 0:07Speaker 1: Ken Roseanne. I did Tommy with you on your Friday.
- 0:10Speaker 1: We go straight to our busy phones. Kimberly in Westchester,
- 0:13Speaker 1: good morning to you.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Good morning. I was supposed to hear that you are
- 0:18Speaker 2: somewhat caffeine.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I know her, Kim. I won't say your last Yeah,
- 0:24Speaker 1: Kim and I let's just tell I'll tell her. I'll
- 0:26Speaker 1: tell everyone this is Kim and I work together at
- 0:28Speaker 1: a little radio station in Mount kissco. In nineteen Oh god,
- 0:33Speaker 1: what year?
- 0:33Speaker 3: Whatever? Ago?
- 0:34Speaker 1: Yeah, let's say it was in the eighties.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, how are young?
- 0:40Speaker 2: One time? I'm doing much better now getting to chat
- 0:43Speaker 2: with you and hear you in for Mark. It's doing
- 0:45Speaker 2: a fantastic job. So love listening to you. And I
- 0:49Speaker 2: am laughing at the caffeine story. I dropped caffeine out
- 0:53Speaker 2: of my uh and I do have a hit. But
- 0:56Speaker 2: that was the reason. It just was making me ill.
- 0:59Speaker 2: But then now I'm aching back to dyke coke with lime.
- 1:02Speaker 2: They're bringing that back, and I'm here because I I love.
- 1:06Speaker 1: That you got to get some I think we all
- 1:09Speaker 1: need some vice, right, just something. But you know, I
- 1:13Speaker 1: used to drink, I had. I used to make wine,
- 1:15Speaker 1: you know, not only drinking. I would make wine. I
- 1:17Speaker 1: don't do that anymore. I'm just like boring. You know,
- 1:20Speaker 1: I never smoked a cigarette, did you? Did you smoke
- 1:22Speaker 1: back in the eighties?
- 1:24Speaker 2: No? No, never never.
- 1:26Speaker 1: That's good.
- 1:26Speaker 2: But I do have a question because you're such a
- 1:28Speaker 2: food connoisseur as well, so Macha, I'm jealous because I
- 1:34Speaker 2: see people drinking all the time and it's so pretty.
- 1:37Speaker 2: But I think it has caffeine in this?
- 1:38Speaker 4: Does it?
- 1:39Speaker 1: I mean, what are some does? Yeah, it's from what
- 1:41Speaker 1: I've read this. In fact, somebody said this sent me
- 1:44Speaker 1: something to when I was in the commercial there. But
- 1:48Speaker 1: apparently it's it's from green tea plants, and allegedly because
- 1:52Speaker 1: it's it's it's when it's not aged to brown tea,
- 1:57Speaker 1: that's when you get more concentrated caffeine. But they have
- 2:00Speaker 1: it has things like elcianine and that gives you the
- 2:03Speaker 1: energy without the jitters of caffeine. So the energy you
- 2:06Speaker 1: get from Machia is really more from the natural enzymes
- 2:09Speaker 1: and things like that as opposed to caffeine. Although there
- 2:11Speaker 1: is some caffeine for sure, So if you're trying to
- 2:13Speaker 1: avoid caffeine, matia may not be the way to go.
- 2:17Speaker 1: If that is from doctor ten.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Thank you, doctor Ken.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I appreciate it.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Can't really we got to talk off the air. Listen,
- 2:25Speaker 1: I see you on a Facebook messager. We'll chat off
- 2:28Speaker 1: the hear, but we'll get together and have some macha
- 2:30Speaker 1: happy is very Christmas.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Kim good to talk to.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Oh I love her. She was one of the nicest
- 2:38Speaker 1: people I worked with up at that station. Seven ten
- 2:41Speaker 1: wore the voice of New York at eleven twenty nine.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Good morning to David and queens.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Hey Ken, good morning ken By. Now most people have
- 2:49Speaker 4: gotten their so called inflation reduction checks from the buck
- 2:54Speaker 4: tooth kafye hlkal, and I hope people don't fall through
- 2:57Speaker 4: this shameless attempt to win vote. This is money that
- 3:01Speaker 4: they stole from your people should be caught up on
- 3:03Speaker 4: rico charges.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I know you're right, David. I appreciate the call. You
- 3:07Speaker 1: know that is funny. People think that it's like a
- 3:09Speaker 1: gift from heaven. That money you got back a few
- 3:12Speaker 1: hundred dollars in that check, and I'm glad. I mean,
- 3:14Speaker 1: I know senior citizens who got it who could really
- 3:16Speaker 1: use it too, and a lot of people could use that.
- 3:18Speaker 1: But the point is it's your money, so that means
- 3:21Speaker 1: they took too much of your money to begin with,
- 3:23Speaker 1: they shouldn't have. And then they will give you back
- 3:25Speaker 1: two percent of what you gave us. Really well, we
- 3:28Speaker 1: didn't give it to you, took it from us. Seven
- 3:30Speaker 1: to ten. W o R the Voice of New York too.
- 3:32Speaker 1: My friend Vincent in Brooklyn.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Good morning, Vincenzo, Good morning Ken. I got my two
- 3:38Speaker 3: hundred dollars check from Kathy Hukel a couple of weeks ago,
- 3:42Speaker 3: and it went in an instant to buy some stuff Thanksgiving. Ken.
- 3:49Speaker 3: I think I believe with the whole crime reporting, especially
- 3:53Speaker 3: crimes committed by people in the minority community, I believe
- 3:57Speaker 3: the mainstream legacy media. I got together years ago and said,
- 4:02Speaker 3: even though the FBI statistics and local New York City
- 4:08Speaker 3: statistics and the Department of Correction statistics accurately state black
- 4:16Speaker 3: on black crime is the biggest, the biggest issue, one
- 4:22Speaker 3: of the biggest issues in the black community. Another thing
- 4:28Speaker 3: second to black on black crime, when blacks are not
- 4:32Speaker 3: busy attacking each other, that attack white people. That's the
- 4:36Speaker 3: second largest group. And according to FBI statistics, one in
- 4:43Speaker 3: four black men by the time they are thirty years
- 4:48Speaker 3: old will have gone through the system once. And I
- 4:54Speaker 3: believe the legacy media having known this, said hey, we
- 4:59Speaker 3: have have to shy away from this because this may
- 5:05Speaker 3: stigmatize people in the African American community.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So I gotta jump in only because it's new, sim Vincent,
- 5:12Speaker 1: but so I'm not trying to cut you off, but
- 5:15Speaker 1: it's you make a lot of points, and the points
- 5:18Speaker 1: you're making clearly our statistics from the FBI, and there
- 5:21Speaker 1: are a lot of statistics right The question is how
- 5:24Speaker 1: do how do we help and how do we help
- 5:26Speaker 1: change that?
- 5:27Speaker 3: How do we help change it? Have to, uh, bring
- 5:31Speaker 3: back night schools so people who have to how to
- 5:34Speaker 3: drop out of school to go to work if they
- 5:36Speaker 3: want to better their lives. Bring back night schools like
- 5:40Speaker 3: their wa in New York City when I was growing up.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Bring that so people could retrain for their new careers.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Nobody AI is never going to replace plumbing, carpentry, electricians.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Don't let anybody fool you, and somebody's going to have
- 5:58Speaker 3: to be trained to repair the AI.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Roll By and Vincent as I as I drive down Manhattan,
- 6:05Speaker 1: I see all these big beautiful buildings. A I didn't
- 6:07Speaker 1: put them up physically. They got to be put up
- 6:09Speaker 1: by human beings. Right, there'll always be a need for
- 6:11Speaker 1: that visit. I got to cut us only because of
- 6:14Speaker 1: the news. But my friend, have a good holiday if
- 6:16Speaker 1: I don't talk to you between now and Christmas, all right, Vincent,
- 6:20Speaker 1: be well, my friend, Yeah, you know, I mean, the
- 6:22Speaker 1: main thing is, and they're listen years ago, the news
- 6:26Speaker 1: organizations through the Associated Press. That's how it usually works.
- 6:29Speaker 1: The AP is sort of the umbrella. They don't run
- 6:31Speaker 1: the news organizations, but they have something called the AP
- 6:34Speaker 1: style Book, and a lot of news organizations follow that.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So if the style book says this is the way
- 6:40Speaker 1: we're doing things, meaning the Associated Press, generally news organizations
- 6:44Speaker 1: tend to follow Suit seven ten wor the Voice of
- 6:48Speaker 1: New York. It is now eleven thirty three, And in
- 6:52Speaker 1: just a little bit we're going to be talking with
- 6:53Speaker 1: somebody who's going to who's a health expert. He's going
- 6:56Speaker 1: to tell us about people who may be abusing weight loss.
- 7:00Speaker 1: His name is Paul Fulford. He's coming up in just
- 7:02Speaker 1: a little bit and we'll also take more of your
- 7:04Speaker 1: calls through the hour seven ten WR the voice of
- 7:07Speaker 1: New York
