Genmaicha Green - The Leaves Aren’t Finished
Genmaicha is a cup of green tea and toasted rice, pale yellow in the light, with leaves that open more with every pour. The first infusion is bold and quick, the second softer, quieter, drawn from the same leaves but changed by time and patience. What remains after the first pour is not less, only different—waiting for someone willing to stay for another cup.
Today's cup: Genmaicha — Camellia sinensis and brown rice.
