- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's your person, Michelle. Probably we guess. I don't know.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I'm here again doing this thing, having a really weird week.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I think. I think it's just been this week. I
- 0:12Speaker 1: don't really know anymore. Just so much weird stuff's going
- 0:15Speaker 1: on in my neighborhood and mostly just in my neighborhood,
- 0:20Speaker 1: and yeah, yeah, hooray, Yeah, I don't know. Nothing too
- 0:26Speaker 1: much is going on with me otherwise besides all the
- 0:29Speaker 1: crazy stuff. I guess. But I did start to watch
- 0:33Speaker 1: Tokyo Ghoul in case you didn't know that I haven't
- 0:37Speaker 1: watched that. I've read the manga, well, I think almost
- 0:41Speaker 1: all of it for some reason. I didn't read the end.
- 0:44Speaker 1: But I was hesitant to watch the anime because I've
- 0:48Speaker 1: heard so many bad things about it, and also I
- 0:50Speaker 1: watched the first episode like years ago, and I was like, gross,
- 0:54Speaker 1: they did so much in the first episode. They skipped
- 0:57Speaker 1: so much stuff that like, I was angry, and I
- 1:00Speaker 1: decided not to continue. But I figured, I really want
- 1:04Speaker 1: to watch something that's kind of edgy and like really horrifying,
- 1:07Speaker 1: really badly so I can feel better. So I was like,
- 1:11Speaker 1: let's just watch Tokyo Cool. There's gonna be like a
- 1:14Speaker 1: bunch of violence and torture and maybe, yeah, maybe that'll
- 1:18Speaker 1: do it. Maybe that'll make me feel less bad. It
- 1:21Speaker 1: would be reasonable if you were a little worried that
- 1:23Speaker 1: that's like what I would do to unwind and make
- 1:25Speaker 1: myself feel better. But hey, that's what's going on. So
- 1:28Speaker 1: I'm on episode like three. I didn't rewatch episode one
- 1:31Speaker 1: because I don't want to, but I've watched two and
- 1:34Speaker 1: three and they were pretty good. Definitely missing some of
- 1:38Speaker 1: the esthetic coolness or you know, just artistic detail of
- 1:45Speaker 1: the Monga obviously, and there were definitely spots where I
- 1:49Speaker 1: was like, he's like crying, but we're just doing like
- 1:52Speaker 1: this two second cycle of him, like, you know, crying,
- 1:58Speaker 1: and it's really noticeable and it's really hurting the impact
- 2:02Speaker 1: of this scene to me. But yeah, so hooray, I'm
- 2:07Speaker 1: watching at least going to watch the first season and
- 2:09Speaker 1: then I may just give up. But I don't know
- 2:12Speaker 1: why I told you that, but now you know for
- 2:15Speaker 1: some reason, and you're not gonna hear this, hopefully you
- 2:19Speaker 1: won't notice except that I'm telling you now. But I'm
- 2:21Speaker 1: having trouble thinking of just normal words right now, which
- 2:25Speaker 1: I always do, But like it's really real bad because
- 2:27Speaker 1: I'm kind of stressed, so this is gonna be interesting
- 2:31Speaker 1: for me. Hopefully you won't be able to tell, but
- 2:35Speaker 1: for me, this may be arduous trying to record this episode.
- 2:39Speaker 1: But whatever, it's fine. Let's get to it. Let's figure
- 2:43Speaker 1: out what's happening in Lane, because that's what we gotta do. Anyway.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Episode six of Lane is called Kids, and that is
- 2:52Speaker 1: a really good title for it. Yay. I guess if
- 2:56Speaker 1: you remember from the end of the last episode, Lane
- 2:59Speaker 1: was like sitting at computer and like, uh, looking into
- 3:02Speaker 1: it and stuff. But that's not that interesting. What's really
- 3:05Speaker 1: interesting is that Mika like might have a dappelegamer and
- 3:10Speaker 1: she might have just disappeared. So that's that's the scary thing. Anyway.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I don't think we start right there. We start where
- 3:16Speaker 1: we always start, with stuff in the beginning and present day,
- 3:19Speaker 1: present time, and then some laughter and then the opening
- 3:23Speaker 1: theme yay, and then we go into more normal shit
- 3:26Speaker 1: that we see every week, and those blue buildings, and
- 3:28Speaker 1: then over top of them a voice which might be lame,
- 3:31Speaker 1: but the translation just said voice. So I'm not sure
- 3:34Speaker 1: because sometimes it says Lane, and I'm not familiar enough
- 3:38Speaker 1: with her voice for some reason to be one hundred
- 3:39Speaker 1: percent sure it with her anyway. It says if people
- 3:43Speaker 1: can connect to each other, even the smallest voices will
- 3:46Speaker 1: grow loud. If people can connect to each other, even
- 3:49Speaker 1: their lives will become bigger. Then we get the title
- 3:52Speaker 1: card Kids Layer zero six. We fade into humming electrical
- 3:58Speaker 1: wires on a purple night sky. We see someone standing
- 4:02Speaker 1: at the top of Lane's stairs in her house, and
- 4:05Speaker 1: I thought maybe it was Lane. It's not. It's dark
- 4:08Speaker 1: so we really can't see, and we're also pretty far
- 4:10Speaker 1: away from them, but light is streaming in through the
- 4:13Speaker 1: window next to them, and then we see that it's
- 4:15Speaker 1: her dad. He's looking down the hall at this sliver
- 4:18Speaker 1: of blue light that's, you know, coming from Lane's mostly
- 4:21Speaker 1: closed door, just kind of blankly staring in that direction,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and he walks over to the door. He stops in
- 4:27Speaker 1: front of it and knocks. I don't know why I knocked,
- 4:30Speaker 1: but I did, so now you know what knocking sounds like.
- 4:33Speaker 1: He says, Lane, I'm coming in. He opens the door
- 4:37Speaker 1: slowly and the bottom of the door splashes against water
- 4:43Speaker 1: that's all over the floor. Uh. His eyes get really
- 4:46Speaker 1: wide because there's water all over the floor and other things.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Lane is at her desk with like four computers like
- 4:54Speaker 1: around her, and they're like holograms, like three holographic screens
- 4:59Speaker 1: like floating in the above them, and just wires everywhere.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Then we see like some sort of water flowing through
- 5:07Speaker 1: like pipes. I think it's like it looks like it's green.
- 5:10Speaker 1: So I'm wondering maybe if it's coolant, because that would
- 5:13Speaker 1: make sense because you know, these systems get hot. I
- 5:17Speaker 1: assume that's what's going on with the floor of water too. Anyway.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Then we see like a valve letting out steam and
- 5:25Speaker 1: just all sorts of devices that look like just random
- 5:28Speaker 1: electronics hooked together. Her dad is just looking around at
- 5:32Speaker 1: all of this sweating, and he says Lane. Lane doesn't
- 5:36Speaker 1: move at all. She's just staring like super contentedly at
- 5:39Speaker 1: her screen. Her dad looks real freaked out, and we
- 5:44Speaker 1: zoom in on Lane's very contented looking face, and then
- 5:47Speaker 1: we see Navi's screen as all sorts of like windows
- 5:50Speaker 1: and shit are popping up on it. We go to white.
- 5:54Speaker 1: We fade now into a super close above Lane's face,
- 5:56Speaker 1: but like not what we just saw. She is in
- 5:59Speaker 1: some sort of white place now, so definitely not her
- 6:02Speaker 1: room because her room is dark stuff. She says, thanks,
- 6:07Speaker 1: but I verified that register a long time ago. Do
- 6:09Speaker 1: you have any other suggestions? We hear like some weird
- 6:12Speaker 1: sounds and the background is like morphing into various colors
- 6:16Speaker 1: and stuff. Lane laughs, and it's like it's really hilarious.
- 6:19Speaker 1: She laughs again. She is just floating through this white
- 6:23Speaker 1: space in her nightgown and in the corner of like
- 6:27Speaker 1: the screen I think up kind of in the left
- 6:29Speaker 1: side or something like, it kind of changes color, like
- 6:32Speaker 1: purple and yellow and blue, like almost like their clouds
- 6:35Speaker 1: lighting up. And Lane says, exactly right. I can't wait
- 6:39Speaker 1: for the next generation protocol to finally be released. When
- 6:43Speaker 1: it does, maybe I could. There are some more noises,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and like pink and green blotches appear in the background.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Lane says, why are you all so nice? That's absolutely
- 6:53Speaker 1: the furthest from what I've been thinking lately. There's some
- 6:56Speaker 1: more colors and some distortion, and Lane can news, that's
- 7:01Speaker 1: not what I'm thinking. I'm wondering. Well, what I'm trying
- 7:05Speaker 1: to say is that I just don't have many friends
- 7:08Speaker 1: to speak of. She looks kind of sad me too.
- 7:12Speaker 1: There's a bunch of colors and sounds. Again. Lane looks
- 7:15Speaker 1: up and is like, thank you nights. Oh, and we
- 7:18Speaker 1: fade out. The power lines are humming now on a
- 7:22Speaker 1: white background, and Lane is walking down the street with
- 7:25Speaker 1: those blotchy red shadows all around, and she stops as
- 7:29Speaker 1: she sees something like quite a way down the block.
- 7:32Speaker 1: It's like a little boy and he has just arms
- 7:35Speaker 1: raised to the sky and he's looking up. Lane looks
- 7:40Speaker 1: up too, and we kind of pan up to like
- 7:43Speaker 1: these high tension power lines like way off in the distance,
- 7:46Speaker 1: like it's kind of I guess smoggy, so they're you know,
- 7:49Speaker 1: not super clear. And then she looks back down the
- 7:52Speaker 1: block and the kid's gone. She exhales and starts to
- 7:56Speaker 1: walk again. We pan back up from the street and
- 7:59Speaker 1: we kind of zoom in on the sky. That's it
- 8:02Speaker 1: for some reason. Now we see the front of the school,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and then we cut to like a red phone someone
- 8:08Speaker 1: like writing on like an extended screen next to it,
- 8:12Speaker 1: like to the right side. There's just like a little
- 8:14Speaker 1: like screen pad that I guess you can write on
- 8:16Speaker 1: it and it pops up on the phone. I don't
- 8:18Speaker 1: know anyway, they're writing connected and then they like circle
- 8:22Speaker 1: it and exit out and it disappears. We hear Raka say, geez,
- 8:26Speaker 1: you're such a study holic. Lane puts her phone away
- 8:30Speaker 1: and looks up at Raka, who is standing next to
- 8:32Speaker 1: her desk, and she says, what Alice is like, Lane,
- 8:35Speaker 1: It's like you're back to your old self, avoiding us.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Lane just kind of blinks, and we hear Judy say,
- 8:41Speaker 1: come hang out with us again sometime. She puts her
- 8:44Speaker 1: hands on Lane's shoulder. I mean, you've got to come
- 8:46Speaker 1: out with us more. Life's depressing when you're always alone.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Lane's like, yeah, but I'm I'm not really alone. Judy says, huh.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Alice is like, who's with you? Lane smiles, Everyone comes
- 8:59Speaker 1: to see me. No, that's not quite right. I guess
- 9:03Speaker 1: I go to see them. Raka says, what do you
- 9:06Speaker 1: mean you see them in the wired? No? Uh, A
- 9:09Speaker 1: net pal isn't a friend. I mean they shouldn't even
- 9:12Speaker 1: be considered acquaintances, she's Reka. Alice is like, Rica's really
- 9:17Speaker 1: an old lady sometimes, isn't she. Judy says, yeah, really,
- 9:21Speaker 1: Alice chuckles. Rica puts her hands on her hips. So
- 9:25Speaker 1: what if I am anyway, Lane tells what kind of
- 9:28Speaker 1: sight you've been connecting to lately? Oh, so you want
- 9:30Speaker 1: to know? Now? At that, Lane smiles and giggles, and
- 9:34Speaker 1: she says he meets Sue, which means that's a secret.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Alice looks really freaked out. Yeah, I kind of get it, Alice,
- 9:43Speaker 1: this is a little bit weird, and Judy says, huh
- 9:47Speaker 1: Reca's like, oh, listen to her. Judy says, just tell us,
- 9:51Speaker 1: and I don't know if she does or not, because
- 9:53Speaker 1: then we fade out and we fade to an exterior
- 9:56Speaker 1: of an apartment building. We're kind of panning up on it.
- 9:59Speaker 1: It's got like balk and shit, it's just the still
- 10:02Speaker 1: shot that's weird because we hear like giggling, like the
- 10:05Speaker 1: girls are giggling, and we hear Judy say, this will
- 10:07Speaker 1: look really good, and Rayka's like, forget it. You should
- 10:10Speaker 1: just give it up. Jerry says, I think this one's
- 10:13Speaker 1: so much better, don't you. Alice is like, no way,
- 10:16Speaker 1: this one's better, right, Lane, But whole scene was just
- 10:20Speaker 1: on a still frame of an apartment building. Anyway, Now
- 10:23Speaker 1: we face them standing in what I thought was them all,
- 10:26Speaker 1: but I'm not sure, maybe it's outside. They're next to stores.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I'm not sure. People are walking by, and Judy says, hey,
- 10:34Speaker 1: let's go to that story we went to yesterday. They're
- 10:37Speaker 1: having a thirty minute all you can eat ice cream
- 10:39Speaker 1: special today. Rakea's like, get out of here, Alice laughs
- 10:43Speaker 1: and Judy's like, but I'm really hungry. Lane is there too.
- 10:46Speaker 1: She's wearing a pink beanie and he's like aquamarine earrings
- 10:51Speaker 1: and lipstick, and she's just kind of staring up. She
- 10:54Speaker 1: looks kind of like grunge, which is pretty cool and
- 10:57Speaker 1: appropriate for the late nineties. Now we see some buildings
- 11:01Speaker 1: outside and then walking down the street, which is why
- 11:03Speaker 1: I don't know if they were in them all or not.
- 11:06Speaker 1: And then like we see buses and cars stopped at
- 11:08Speaker 1: a light and a pedestrian crossing sign that is green
- 11:12Speaker 1: but then it blinks which I guess is yellow and
- 11:14Speaker 1: goes to red. They run across the street on the
- 11:17Speaker 1: red light, giggling because they like breaking the law. And
- 11:22Speaker 1: then we cut to like something passing by, like a
- 11:25Speaker 1: big metal thing that I think is a train, but
- 11:27Speaker 1: like I don't know why it was there, but it
- 11:30Speaker 1: was like a really weird close shout of it, So
- 11:32Speaker 1: I think it was a train. I don't know, And
- 11:34Speaker 1: Raka turns around and is like, huh. Alice says, what
- 11:38Speaker 1: is it. You'd think it would be that train, right, No,
- 11:41Speaker 1: it's not. Raga takes her hands out of her pocket
- 11:44Speaker 1: and points, and there's this like little boy standing down
- 11:48Speaker 1: the block with his arms raised to the sky. Fuck.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Lane's eyes widened and she gasps, we hear Julie say,
- 11:55Speaker 1: what's about a kid? Rerake is like, I don't know.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Lane is just staring at him, and Jury's like, come on,
- 12:03Speaker 1: let's go. Alice says, let's go. Lane. We now cut
- 12:07Speaker 1: to them leaving a building. I guess they went to
- 12:09Speaker 1: another place, And now they're walking down the street again
- 12:13Speaker 1: and Lane looks down the street and she sees like
- 12:16Speaker 1: a woman and some kids just like hanging out on
- 12:18Speaker 1: the sidewalk and talking no big deal. And there's like
- 12:21Speaker 1: no sound in this part. But then she, I guess,
- 12:25Speaker 1: is looking through a crowd of people and she sees
- 12:27Speaker 1: these other two kids and her eyes widen. They have
- 12:31Speaker 1: their arms raised to the sky. Lane looks up and
- 12:36Speaker 1: the sky is like white and hazy, like there's no
- 12:40Speaker 1: real definition, but there's clouds, you know, And at this
- 12:44Speaker 1: point the clouds kind of start to part, which again
- 12:48Speaker 1: there was no definition up until a second ago. So
- 12:50Speaker 1: it's a little weird. And like rays of light shine through,
- 12:53Speaker 1: you know, as they might sometimes, especially if the sky
- 12:56Speaker 1: was hazy and the sun started coming in. I could
- 12:58Speaker 1: see that. But Laane looks like horrified, which is not
- 13:02Speaker 1: a normal reaction to beams of light coming through clouds.
- 13:06Speaker 1: But it's not just that there's something in there, like
- 13:10Speaker 1: behind the clouds, and it opens more and it's Lane.
- 13:13Speaker 1: It's just Lane in the clouds, naked, bathed in white light.
- 13:19Speaker 1: What Lane gasps? Wi Yeah, I mean I would gasp
- 13:22Speaker 1: if I saw myself in the sky naked when I
- 13:25Speaker 1: wasn't in the sky at all, or naked. Yeah, I
- 13:29Speaker 1: don't know. So Lane is up there naked. Her arms
- 13:32Speaker 1: are like to her side, but kind of out a
- 13:34Speaker 1: little bit, and her eyes are closed, and we only
- 13:37Speaker 1: say two about like her, you know, the bottom of
- 13:40Speaker 1: her stomach, and we don't really have a lot of
- 13:41Speaker 1: definition on her breast. So it's it's not that weird.
- 13:45Speaker 1: It's really weird, guys. She gasps again, because what else
- 13:49Speaker 1: are you gonna do in this situation. Alice walks over
- 13:52Speaker 1: and she puts her hand on lane shoulder and she
- 13:54Speaker 1: says Lane. But then she looks up to see what
- 13:57Speaker 1: Lene is looking at and gasps, and she's like no way, yes, way,
- 14:01Speaker 1: oh fuck, And she can see it. So Lane isn't
- 14:04Speaker 1: insane maybe, And now like people who are on the
- 14:07Speaker 1: sidewalk are just like talking about this and going like,
- 14:10Speaker 1: come here, look what is that? What the fuck? What's
- 14:13Speaker 1: going on? Wow? So everybody sees Lane in the sky
- 14:18Speaker 1: or something in the sky, at least cloud. Lane kind
- 14:22Speaker 1: of opens her eyes slightly and looks like maybe she's
- 14:25Speaker 1: looking down, but it's hard to tell. Alice turns back
- 14:29Speaker 1: to Lane and says Lane, that's her eyes widened as
- 14:33Speaker 1: she looks at Lane looking up at the sky. The
- 14:36Speaker 1: kids still have their arms outstretched, and Lane, you know,
- 14:39Speaker 1: lowers her gaze and looks at them for a second
- 14:41Speaker 1: and then back up to the sky. But it's gone,
- 14:44Speaker 1: thank god. And then we go to black. We see
- 14:47Speaker 1: the street light outside of Lane's house and the hum
- 14:49Speaker 1: of the wires. It's nights. We're panning up towards Lane's
- 14:52Speaker 1: room and window, and her window is the only one
- 14:55Speaker 1: that has a light on. In it, which is again weird,
- 14:58Speaker 1: especially because of the next scene. But anyway, we cut
- 15:01Speaker 1: to a TV without sound. It's the news. It says news,
- 15:06Speaker 1: and then tea, and then somebody's standing in front of
- 15:08Speaker 1: the words, so I don't know what they are. Then gle.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I don't know what that is because it could have
- 15:12Speaker 1: been news tonight, but it's not because it's a GLE.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I don't know. It's in English for some reason, but
- 15:18Speaker 1: I still can't figure out what it is. Anyway, we
- 15:21Speaker 1: hear the water running in the background, and then we
- 15:24Speaker 1: see Lane's mom standing at the sink with her back
- 15:26Speaker 1: to us, you know, and the sink, and she says,
- 15:29Speaker 1: you've certainly been coming home early lately. We can see
- 15:32Speaker 1: now that Mika is sitting on the couch watching the TV,
- 15:35Speaker 1: and she doesn't respond to her mom. We can't see
- 15:37Speaker 1: Mika's face or thing, because we're just seeing the back
- 15:40Speaker 1: of her and the TV and stuff. Her mom continues,
- 15:42Speaker 1: without turning around. Now it's Lamee that's staying out late
- 15:45Speaker 1: and doing god knows what. Mika doesn't move, We're still
- 15:48Speaker 1: just seeing her back. Mom continues, do you think you'll
- 15:52Speaker 1: get a college recommendation? We can now see Mika's face,
- 15:55Speaker 1: and I don't know, guys, she looks really fucking out
- 15:58Speaker 1: of it. Her mouth is just hanging open, her head
- 16:01Speaker 1: is slightly like cocked to the side, and she just
- 16:03Speaker 1: looks dazed. I mean, it's weird enough already because she's
- 16:07Speaker 1: watching TV with no sound and just staring at it.
- 16:10Speaker 1: But I don't know what's going on here. She kind
- 16:13Speaker 1: of makes a sound like uh, like not a sound
- 16:16Speaker 1: that someone makes to respond to a question, which is
- 16:19Speaker 1: a little upsetting, and we hear the door close in
- 16:23Speaker 1: the background, and her mom says welcome home. Mika makes
- 16:28Speaker 1: some more grunt noises like uh, which is again a
- 16:32Speaker 1: little upsetting, and then we cut to Lane opening the
- 16:35Speaker 1: door to her room. Something over the doorframe beeps, and
- 16:40Speaker 1: a bunch of lights turn on, and her computers start
- 16:43Speaker 1: up and their little holograph screens like go up and stuff,
- 16:47Speaker 1: and we hear a man say, who I think is
- 16:49Speaker 1: a newscaster or definitely is a strange phenomenon appeared in
- 16:53Speaker 1: the skies of Tokyo today. Lane takes off her beanie
- 16:56Speaker 1: and she like quickly wipes off her lipstick just in
- 16:59Speaker 1: one swoop, and she pulls off her jacket like with intention, Like,
- 17:02Speaker 1: she looks like she's ready to get into it, whatever
- 17:05Speaker 1: it is. She looks really tough all of a sudden,
- 17:07Speaker 1: I'm just like, WHOA Lane is cool? Anyway? She sits
- 17:11Speaker 1: down at the computer and starts clicking the mouse, and
- 17:14Speaker 1: then newscaster continues, people who observed it reported being deeply unnerved.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Really they were unnerved to see a naked child in
- 17:21Speaker 1: the sky, newscaster continues. Was it some malicious prank or
- 17:25Speaker 1: something more serious? What was it a natural phenomenon or
- 17:30Speaker 1: deliberate act? A natural what? At this point, Lane says, hello, Nab.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Nabby's like hello, Lane, Blaane very intensely says, connect me
- 17:44Speaker 1: to the wired. Her lipstick, even though she has taken
- 17:47Speaker 1: it off, is kind of smeared on the side of
- 17:48Speaker 1: her face. We see Nabby doing all sorts of things,
- 17:51Speaker 1: like there's colors and things going on, but none that
- 17:55Speaker 1: I can really identify or explain to you. And then
- 17:57Speaker 1: we see a pillar of lights appear in the middle
- 18:00Speaker 1: of like a black scream. At least I thought it
- 18:04Speaker 1: was a pillar of light. It is a path, a
- 18:06Speaker 1: white path, and Laane is walking down it in the
- 18:09Speaker 1: middle of just black nothingness. We hear a man say,
- 18:14Speaker 1: so you're the famous Lane. Huh at this? A big
- 18:17Speaker 1: pair of floating lips like appears next her, and I
- 18:21Speaker 1: mean it's bigger than her, like, it's very large lips,
- 18:24Speaker 1: just lips, And the lips say you're something else, little lady.
- 18:28Speaker 1: What other tricks can you do to be able to
- 18:31Speaker 1: trans more of your physical self so smoothly? To hear
- 18:33Speaker 1: in the wired it is no easy feet. Lane is
- 18:35Speaker 1: still just walking with her eyes forward, and she says,
- 18:38Speaker 1: stupid cheshire cat poser. The lips laugh. They make it
- 18:43Speaker 1: like a sound when they laugh, and the translation translated
- 18:47Speaker 1: this as hissing. It's not, it's just weird laughter. I
- 18:50Speaker 1: was annoyed at that anyway. They say, at the level
- 18:54Speaker 1: I'm currently at, this is the best I can do
- 18:56Speaker 1: until I get the okay for new software. The lips
- 18:59Speaker 1: are like floating around now, just kind of randomly, kind
- 19:02Speaker 1: of in a cycle, and they continue. I hear most
- 19:05Speaker 1: people can only manage years. And I have a sexy smile,
- 19:09Speaker 1: don't you think? No? Gross? Lane's like, shut up, just
- 19:14Speaker 1: give me the information. The lips laugh again and say,
- 19:17Speaker 1: I helped Lane. This is gonna make me a hero
- 19:20Speaker 1: with the local users and put me back on top.
- 19:22Speaker 1: You didn't do anything yet, you're just being weird, Lane says,
- 19:26Speaker 1: there's too much hiss in your signal. She fully wipes
- 19:29Speaker 1: off the lipstick. Now, tell me about the game the
- 19:31Speaker 1: kids are playing. The lips say a game. There were
- 19:35Speaker 1: all kinds of kids' games. Just what do you mean,
- 19:39Speaker 1: Lane's like, what a moron? Like? You don't know? The
- 19:42Speaker 1: lips are like, Lane, I'm shocked. Where did you get
- 19:45Speaker 1: the idea that it's a game? Lane says, to a kid,
- 19:50Speaker 1: anything can be a game. The lips are like, ah, yes.
- 19:54Speaker 1: At this point, a big rectangle kind of floats down
- 19:58Speaker 1: the path up to them. I guess just a big
- 20:01Speaker 1: two dimensional rectangle. I mean, it's all two dimensional because
- 20:04Speaker 1: it's traditional animation, but it's like just a flat rectangle,
- 20:08Speaker 1: and we're seeing from behind the rectangle, so I don't
- 20:10Speaker 1: know if anything's on it. And the lips continue. Ah.
- 20:13Speaker 1: So you called up the search results? Is that right now?
- 20:16Speaker 1: I get it? And in your search, what exactly was
- 20:19Speaker 1: it you found? Lane stops walking in front of the rectangle.
- 20:24Speaker 1: We pan up on like a black and white guy
- 20:27Speaker 1: who I guess is on the front of the rectangle.
- 20:29Speaker 1: He's wearing a lab coat and he has a beard
- 20:31Speaker 1: and glasses. You know, more like a picture than a
- 20:34Speaker 1: real person, Lane says, the child killer scientist. Oh, he
- 20:40Speaker 1: has this like out of focused background behind him on
- 20:42Speaker 1: the rectangle, and it like fades out and he gets
- 20:45Speaker 1: like this texture on him that almost looks like it's
- 20:48Speaker 1: supposed to be like paper or stone. Maybe I'm not
- 20:51Speaker 1: really sure. The lips laugh and say, so, you live
- 20:54Speaker 1: up to your reputation. Lane, You found him on your own.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I'm impressed. In the real world, he's it's just a
- 21:00Speaker 1: pathetic old man waiting to die in some private hospital. Lord.
- 21:03Speaker 1: They laugh. Lay narrows her eyes. The lips laugh again.
- 21:07Speaker 1: You see I really did help you a little. They laugh,
- 21:10Speaker 1: and then they start to float away, and then we
- 21:12Speaker 1: hear them say, oh, ask him about the kids. I
- 21:15Speaker 1: mean yeah, Lane says, I already know that you're not
- 21:19Speaker 1: much of a guide. Chesh our cat. We hear the
- 21:21Speaker 1: lips laugh in the background. Lane's like, what do you say,
- 21:25Speaker 1: Professor Hodgson, it's your turn to talk. Tell me about it.
- 21:29Speaker 1: We fade to black and then back into the professor again.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I think we had a commercial break there. We zoom
- 21:35Speaker 1: in so far on his face now that it's just
- 21:37Speaker 1: blurry dots. And then we go to I guess like
- 21:42Speaker 1: a deck or a balcony. It's grounded and really really large,
- 21:46Speaker 1: and there's like vines growing on the edge of it,
- 21:49Speaker 1: you know, and stuff, and it's like way way up there,
- 21:52Speaker 1: like there's clouds under it. So we're like way up
- 21:55Speaker 1: in the sky, and there's clouds above it too, you know,
- 21:57Speaker 1: so got the higher clouds above it and the lower clouds.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Oh and you know how clouds work. And it's sunsets.
- 22:03Speaker 1: It looks kind of like, you know, Greekish, like there's
- 22:05Speaker 1: a pillar and stuff. It's made of like white stone,
- 22:09Speaker 1: that kind of thing. Lane is there standing next to
- 22:12Speaker 1: some guy who is in a chair, like a reclining chair,
- 22:16Speaker 1: reclining back by the way, and they're really far away
- 22:18Speaker 1: so we can't get a lot of definition on them yet,
- 22:21Speaker 1: and then we see that she's just staring at him.
- 22:24Speaker 1: He's old and possibly sleeping, but we can't tell because
- 22:28Speaker 1: his glasses are reflecting the sunset. Okay, now we can.
- 22:32Speaker 1: He's awake and he's just staring out at the sunsets
- 22:35Speaker 1: and he says it's amazing. I didn't expect that you
- 22:39Speaker 1: look very lifelike, my dear young lady. Lane says, what
- 22:44Speaker 1: is kids? And I should say here that when we
- 22:47Speaker 1: are saying kids, it's kids in English. We cut to
- 22:51Speaker 1: a different angle and it kind of looks like there's
- 22:53Speaker 1: someone standing behind Lane in the background, closer to like
- 22:58Speaker 1: the actual railing and stuff. But I don't really know.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Maybe it's a statue or something, because I don't think
- 23:04Speaker 1: it's relevant to this conversation unless it is, and I
- 23:06Speaker 1: just don't know yet, But there's somebody back there or
- 23:09Speaker 1: statue anyway. Hodgson continues, Ah, it's so very peaceful here,
- 23:14Speaker 1: isn't it. I just want to relax here forever, I think,
- 23:18Speaker 1: or at least until my body rots in the real world.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Do you think that's possible. There's also a table next
- 23:24Speaker 1: to him with some tea on it. By the way,
- 23:26Speaker 1: Lane's like, you know what's happening, don't you, Professor? What's
- 23:30Speaker 1: this kid's all about? Hodgson says, it's so beautiful here,
- 23:35Speaker 1: as if time will last forever. I don't know what
- 23:38Speaker 1: that means, and it's not very helpful. Lane's like, show
- 23:42Speaker 1: me the experiment data from fifteen years ago, all of it.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Hodgson says, Believe me, I never meant to put the
- 23:50Speaker 1: children in any danger, but that's in the past. Lane's like,
- 23:54Speaker 1: I don't mean from fifteen years ago. I mean the
- 23:56Speaker 1: game that all the kids are playing right now. They're
- 23:58Speaker 1: reproducing your experiment, aren't they. Hmm. Hodgson says, someone dug
- 24:03Speaker 1: it out of the trash when I was out of
- 24:05Speaker 1: the office. I thought I'd have raced all the data,
- 24:08Speaker 1: but I obviously have been sadly mistaken. Lane's like, tell
- 24:11Speaker 1: me about the Kensington experiment everything. There's a long pause,
- 24:16Speaker 1: and then Hodgson says, CI written as PSI, which reminds
- 24:21Speaker 1: me of pounds per square inch, which makes me confused.
- 24:24Speaker 1: But it's not anyway, he continues, sigh. Parapsychological ability is
- 24:29Speaker 1: present in most children, although very faint in most We
- 24:33Speaker 1: hear a camera shutter click, like a picture's been taken,
- 24:36Speaker 1: and we cut to a black and white circular room
- 24:40Speaker 1: with like a viewing deck or balcony sort of on
- 24:42Speaker 1: the second floor, and we're just kind of staring down
- 24:45Speaker 1: at all of this, and there's what looked like machines
- 24:48Speaker 1: kind of on the ground floor. Maybe like person size,
- 24:51Speaker 1: it's really hard to tell. And there's like a big
- 24:54Speaker 1: thing in the center, but I don't know what it is.
- 24:56Speaker 1: And on that like observation deck area, there's two people
- 25:00Speaker 1: standing there and I'm pretty sure it's Lane and Hodgson,
- 25:02Speaker 1: but it's hard because it's a very wide shot. As
- 25:04Speaker 1: I just said. Anyway, Hodgson continues, it's nothing as dangerous
- 25:08Speaker 1: or advanced. It's esp The shutter clicks again and we
- 25:12Speaker 1: see two kids strapped into a I don't know, with
- 25:15Speaker 1: things over their heads that kind of look like those
- 25:18Speaker 1: hair dryers that you see at like hair salons, but
- 25:22Speaker 1: they're like not totally over their heads. They're just kind
- 25:25Speaker 1: of on top like a floating hat, but it's not floating,
- 25:28Speaker 1: but it's not connected to their head, if you understand
- 25:30Speaker 1: what I mean, And Hodgson continues, it's just good intuition
- 25:35Speaker 1: or enough physical ability to bend a coiner spoon. Geez.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I mean, there's a really big difference between intuition and
- 25:41Speaker 1: bending a coiner or spoon. But sure, Lane walks in
- 25:45Speaker 1: front of the scene like it's a picture of the
- 25:46Speaker 1: background and points to it. What are these things attached
- 25:49Speaker 1: to their heads? The background gets all greenish and blotchy,
- 25:53Speaker 1: and then we hear the shutter sound again and we
- 25:55Speaker 1: get a close up on the kid's head with like
- 25:57Speaker 1: the devices over it. Hodgson says, we call them out
- 26:01Speaker 1: of receptors, incredibly sensitive. That's what receives the sigh. We
- 26:05Speaker 1: fade to green again and then to a big black
- 26:08Speaker 1: square or rectangle of some sort in the center of
- 26:12Speaker 1: the room, but like a I don't know, needily looking
- 26:15Speaker 1: thing going in it. I don't know, it's a big
- 26:17Speaker 1: machine in the middle of the room. Hodgson continues, here's
- 26:21Speaker 1: the kids schematic. We cut to a three D model
- 26:25Speaker 1: of the room spinning and it says kid system prototype
- 26:29Speaker 1: model like on the sides, and we get a bunch
- 26:31Speaker 1: of words scrolling as he talks that I don't actually
- 26:34Speaker 1: know if they mean anything, And it was really hard
- 26:38Speaker 1: for me to figure out what they said because they're
- 26:41Speaker 1: in English, but they're scrolling pretty fast, and every time
- 26:45Speaker 1: I paused, they would be blurry, and they're like behind
- 26:49Speaker 1: a bunch of things. They're like kind of camouflaged. So
- 26:52Speaker 1: I don't know what this is, but I'm gonna try
- 26:54Speaker 1: to read part of it to you anyway. And you're
- 26:57Speaker 1: also not going to understand. So let's see what I got.
- 27:01Speaker 1: I didn't get all of it because again it's like
- 27:03Speaker 1: been behind things and stuff, but some of it is.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Even with the new utterances. This is not a large
- 27:11Speaker 1: data set, especially considering that the multitask is of multi
- 27:15Speaker 1: speaker and recorded over telephone lines. But we nonetheless performed
- 27:22Speaker 1: the following experiments to assess the effects of incremental I
- 27:27Speaker 1: don't know. The three hundred and fifty new utterances added
- 27:31Speaker 1: four stages preserving their temporal sequences to the initial set
- 27:37Speaker 1: of six hundred and four. I don't know what the
- 27:41Speaker 1: rest of that is. There's like a bunch of numbers
- 27:42Speaker 1: and plus signs and minus signs and stuff. At something
- 27:47Speaker 1: one third all the utterances were selected at random and
- 27:52Speaker 1: held out for testing. Thus I don't know. The remaining
- 27:56Speaker 1: two thirds became the h I don't know from which
- 28:02Speaker 1: knew something. The models was made. I don't know, sorry, guys.
- 28:08Speaker 1: The three step procedure I don't know above and then
- 28:12Speaker 1: it says at each stage we made two tests. The
- 28:17Speaker 1: first checked basic recognition accuracy. When new models were generated
- 28:22Speaker 1: from the expanded tailing data and the new testing data
- 28:27Speaker 1: was incorporated into the test. The second used the new
- 28:31Speaker 1: testing data but no new training data, in order to
- 28:34Speaker 1: check how well the original models generated the unseen data.
- 28:40Speaker 1: These two tests were I don't know something produced by
- 28:45Speaker 1: and then the word's GIVERI blurry and I can't read anymore.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I don't actually think that told us anything at all.
- 28:52Speaker 1: But it's there scrolling in the screen in the background
- 28:54Speaker 1: as he talks. Anyway, Sorry, he continues, individually, there's sign
- 29:00Speaker 1: maybe quite weak, but harnessing their collective unconscious. Lane cuts
- 29:05Speaker 1: him off. What were you expecting? Hodgson continues, something beyond
- 29:10Speaker 1: your wildest imagination. That's what I wanted to see, young lady.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Fuck you, dude. We zoom in on the box and
- 29:18Speaker 1: there's like a green core surrounded by like blue purple
- 29:23Speaker 1: and pink vein like structure things maybe and I think
- 29:27Speaker 1: it says something else now and I just close the screenshot.
- 29:32Speaker 1: I think it says like Kid's system internal view or something. Anyway,
- 29:37Speaker 1: Lane turns towards him, like really freaked out and says,
- 29:41Speaker 1: what did you make them do? Hodgson continues, Science is practical,
- 29:46Speaker 1: It isn't just about proving hypothesis. That's what I always believed.
- 29:51Speaker 1: What Lane puts her hand over her face, kind of
- 29:53Speaker 1: frustrated and shaking, and she's like, that's not what I meant.
- 29:56Speaker 1: She puts her hand down. So you didn't give any
- 29:59Speaker 1: thoughts to the children at all, did you, Hodgson says,
- 30:02Speaker 1: I can see now that I didn't. It was the
- 30:05Speaker 1: KID system that converted the side received by the outer
- 30:08Speaker 1: receptors into electromagnetic waves. These waves were turned into pure energy.
- 30:14Speaker 1: This enhanced the function of certain areas of the brain.
- 30:17Speaker 1: That's what kids really is. I don't know what that means.
- 30:21Speaker 1: The background fades to green, and then we get a
- 30:24Speaker 1: blinding white light that just engulfs everything, including the doctor,
- 30:28Speaker 1: and Lane like shields her face, and then when she
- 30:32Speaker 1: kind of looks to the side, she sees this large
- 30:35Speaker 1: white sphere kind of swirling with energy. She narrows her eyes,
- 30:41Speaker 1: and then we see hands just like sticking out of
- 30:44Speaker 1: the ground or white. I don't really know, but it's
- 30:47Speaker 1: not a good thing. Lane says. When the children's side combined,
- 30:52Speaker 1: how much energy was ultimately generated. We see silhouettes in
- 30:56Speaker 1: the brightness that look like they're going to be blown away,
- 31:00Speaker 1: like little circles of white energy or growing around them,
- 31:03Speaker 1: Like yeah, it doesn't look like it's gonna be a
- 31:05Speaker 1: good thing, Lane continues, and how were you planning to
- 31:09Speaker 1: store it? She looks on in fear at all of this,
- 31:12Speaker 1: and tears start to form in her eyes, and she says,
- 31:14Speaker 1: stop it. We now see like half of I guess
- 31:18Speaker 1: some kid's face screaming and the other half is like
- 31:21Speaker 1: engulfed and I don't know, some sort of white or
- 31:23Speaker 1: gray thing, and there's like a hand reaching out too.
- 31:27Speaker 1: It's probably not good stuff, guys, And she says enough.
- 31:31Speaker 1: She puts her hands over her face, and we cut
- 31:34Speaker 1: to black. We hear Hodgson say, I smashed kids into
- 31:38Speaker 1: pieces so that it could never be rebuilt or end
- 31:40Speaker 1: up in the wrong hands. We're back on the balcony again,
- 31:44Speaker 1: Hodgson continues, But its schematics found their way on to
- 31:47Speaker 1: the wired and eventually coalesced somewhere. But I never had
- 31:50Speaker 1: anything to do with it. Lane is shaking. Her hands
- 31:53Speaker 1: are still over her face, and she says, so you're
- 31:56Speaker 1: saying someone found them. Hodgson continues, correct, and then updated
- 32:01Speaker 1: the program from the ground up so that it could
- 32:03Speaker 1: create an identical phenomena, but without utilizing the outer receptors.
- 32:08Speaker 1: If they had this influence on the younger generation to
- 32:11Speaker 1: the point that their messages were being emulated. I acknowledge
- 32:13Speaker 1: their talent. Laane looks pissed me too, Lane, and she
- 32:18Speaker 1: still has tears in her eyes, and she says, is
- 32:20Speaker 1: that all you can think about now? You can't stop
- 32:23Speaker 1: to think about the children for a minute. Yeah, think
- 32:26Speaker 1: of the children, Patson says. No matter how much I
- 32:29Speaker 1: punish myself, those children won't return to the real world.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Their souls are irretrievable. Quite frankly, there's even less I
- 32:37Speaker 1: can do about this current group, Blaine says, talk about
- 32:41Speaker 1: self centered. So who are the ones using it now?
- 32:44Speaker 1: Hodgson says, young lady. He finally turns his head to
- 32:48Speaker 1: look at Lane. All this talking has worn me out.
- 32:51Speaker 1: It was nice meeting you. What. I don't know what
- 32:54Speaker 1: you plan to do here in the Wired, what your
- 32:56Speaker 1: intentions are, or what'll ever become of you. But you're powerful,
- 33:01Speaker 1: that's for sure, incredibly powerful. If there's a god in
- 33:05Speaker 1: the Wired, and I'm not even sure there is, you're
- 33:08Speaker 1: a child that has been blessed. Fuck, Laane says, But
- 33:12Speaker 1: I'm not, I'm really not. Hodgson continues, I wonder where
- 33:17Speaker 1: this powerful strength of your opposition originates. I mean those
- 33:22Speaker 1: rogues controlling the kid's emulation. Lane's eyes narrow. Who are
- 33:26Speaker 1: the rogues? Then she gasps. Hodgson says, if you please
- 33:32Speaker 1: excuse me, I'm feeling a little tired. No, I hope
- 33:37Speaker 1: you'll understand if I can't stay. He turns his head
- 33:39Speaker 1: back to face the sunsets. My body's time is run out,
- 33:43Speaker 1: and I feel my spirit getting weaker. Asshole. He starts
- 33:47Speaker 1: to fade to whites. I think he's just running away,
- 33:51Speaker 1: he continues at that it's time. I'm tired, he's fading out. Stuff.
- 33:57Speaker 1: My wish has come true. And then he just got
- 34:00Speaker 1: asshole fucking I think he just logged off because he
- 34:04Speaker 1: didn't want to tell her. Really, dude, really you can't
- 34:07Speaker 1: tell her you obviously know, or he's dead. He's probably dead.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Who cares, piece of shit anyway. The screen breaks into
- 34:15Speaker 1: like little black patterns that almost look like really badly
- 34:19Speaker 1: drawn flowers. Then it goes black. I don't know how
- 34:22Speaker 1: to describe that, and we see Lane standing at the
- 34:24Speaker 1: crossroad of two paths in the blackness. We pull in
- 34:29Speaker 1: from far away from her, and then we go to
- 34:31Speaker 1: a close up on her mouth. She says, the nights fuck.
- 34:35Speaker 1: I thought they're your friends. Now we see a computer
- 34:38Speaker 1: screen with various windows open and it fades to blue.
- 34:42Speaker 1: We see that Lane is slumped over in her chair.
- 34:44Speaker 1: She says, shut up all Like the holograms above her
- 34:48Speaker 1: like go back to the computer. So I guess that's
- 34:50Speaker 1: an actual command. And we cut to like the green
- 34:55Speaker 1: coolant flowing through the pipes, I guess, and we hear
- 34:59Speaker 1: Lane say, what are you people? What? Why are you
- 35:04Speaker 1: telling me all this? What are you trying to accomplish?
- 35:07Speaker 1: We've seen an hobby screen again, some kind of blurry
- 35:10Speaker 1: image on it, but I don't know what it is,
- 35:12Speaker 1: And Lane continues, Was I just some kind of toy
- 35:15Speaker 1: to play with? Is this all a game? What did
- 35:18Speaker 1: you want to use those young kids for? Anyway? We're
- 35:21Speaker 1: seeing like various shots of the room, including like steam
- 35:25Speaker 1: pipes and like that, like pressure gauge and stuff like that,
- 35:29Speaker 1: Lane continues, Was it all just for your enjoyment? You
- 35:32Speaker 1: don't care who you hurt as long as you get
- 35:34Speaker 1: a kick out of it. She laughs, You're actually just
- 35:37Speaker 1: a bunch of losers. She like just falls back in
- 35:39Speaker 1: her chair. Laughing. Aren't she gonna speak up? Isn't anyone
- 35:43Speaker 1: gonna answer? At this point, she's just kind of looking
- 35:46Speaker 1: up at the ceiling sadly, and then she gasps. The's
- 35:51Speaker 1: two laser dots on her ceiling moving around. She stares
- 35:55Speaker 1: at them terrified and then looks resolved. We see the
- 36:00Speaker 1: guys with the goggles on or whatever standing outside in
- 36:03Speaker 1: front of their car, staring up at her in her room. Yay,
- 36:07Speaker 1: it looks like that guy got new goggles, so that's good.
- 36:10Speaker 1: The laser dots are moving around on her face as
- 36:13Speaker 1: she looks at them, and we're just kind of seeing
- 36:16Speaker 1: shots of both of them looking at each other, and
- 36:18Speaker 1: they're not moving, so the laser dots shouldn't be moving,
- 36:20Speaker 1: but they are. Who knows what's up with that. Lane's
- 36:23Speaker 1: like those guys, now I get it. She runs through
- 36:27Speaker 1: the water if that's all over her floor and out
- 36:29Speaker 1: of the room. We cut to the shorter guy talking
- 36:32Speaker 1: to the tall guy, which I think is the exact
- 36:34Speaker 1: same shot from that other episode where he was talking
- 36:36Speaker 1: to the tall guy but whatever, and then he looks
- 36:39Speaker 1: up again and we see Lane's pressure gauge in her room.
- 36:44Speaker 1: It is up in the red looks like thirty one
- 36:47Speaker 1: and two thirds ish, I assume PSI, and the needle
- 36:52Speaker 1: is shaking like it's just hanging in the red. Lane
- 36:55Speaker 1: pushes open the front gate of her house and walks
- 36:58Speaker 1: out onto the sidewalk and says, hey, you you're the Knights,
- 37:01Speaker 1: aren't you. Fuck. They're silent, and the smaller guy still
- 37:06Speaker 1: has his laser on her face. I'm pretty sure the
- 37:09Speaker 1: tall guy is still looking up at her room. For
- 37:11Speaker 1: some reason. Lane continues, I'm right R and I you're
- 37:15Speaker 1: the Knights. The taller guy raises his hand and says
- 37:19Speaker 1: please get down. Lane's like what? And then there's just
- 37:22Speaker 1: an explosion from her window. Glass breaks, you know, There's
- 37:25Speaker 1: like a little fireball for a second, and Lane turns
- 37:28Speaker 1: and is like, what was that? It was an explosion? Lane.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Smoke is coming out of the open window now, but
- 37:35Speaker 1: it doesn't look like it's on fire, which is probably good,
- 37:38Speaker 1: but maybe it is. Who knows we're outside. The shorter
- 37:40Speaker 1: guy says, it was just the cooling system in your room.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Just Lane turns back towards them. What the tall guy says,
- 37:48Speaker 1: They must have planted a parasite bomb in your cooling system?
- 37:51Speaker 1: What Lane's like, are you saying you didn't do it?
- 37:55Speaker 1: The tall guy continues, That's exactly what I'm saying. Lane's
- 37:59Speaker 1: whiet for a second. Well who Then they just kind
- 38:03Speaker 1: of start getting in their car. That's not nice. Node
- 38:05Speaker 1: will tell her anything, She continues, tell me who did it.
- 38:09Speaker 1: The tall guy stops before he gets in his car
- 38:11Speaker 1: and looks back and says the nights and he gets in. Fuck.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Lane gasps. The car starts, and the headlights hit her
- 38:20Speaker 1: and make her squint, and they do like a really
- 38:22Speaker 1: fast k turn and peel out down the streets. Lane
- 38:26Speaker 1: just stares in shock as the sirens wail in the distance.
- 38:31Speaker 1: To be continued, and then we go the ending theme. Yay,
- 38:35Speaker 1: and that's it. Okay. Closing thoughts. I thought that was
- 38:39Speaker 1: pretty good. I want to start off by saying, Okay,
- 38:43Speaker 1: I guess there's a bomb in her cooling system, but
- 38:46Speaker 1: like it would also make sense if it just blew
- 38:49Speaker 1: up because it was overheating, because she's just some teenager
- 38:52Speaker 1: who doesn't know how to correctly cool computer systems. You know,
- 38:57Speaker 1: like things blow up when they get too much pressure.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I know, like, for instance, your water heater if you
- 39:04Speaker 1: have one and it has a tank has a temperature
- 39:07Speaker 1: pressure relief valve, so if the pressure ever gets too
- 39:10Speaker 1: high in there, it will shoot out steam. And if
- 39:15Speaker 1: it doesn't have one of these and the temperature ever
- 39:18Speaker 1: gets too high, it will explode, and not just explode,
- 39:22Speaker 1: but blow up and possibly go through your ceiling. It's
- 39:27Speaker 1: very scary. So I'm just saying that, like an explosion
- 39:31Speaker 1: of a pressurized system like that that a kid made, like,
- 39:36Speaker 1: I believe that it doesn't have to be a bomb.
- 39:38Speaker 1: It could just be she didn't know what she was doing,
- 39:41Speaker 1: or there was a mistake and there wasn't like a
- 39:43Speaker 1: backup safety device. But maybe it's a bomb. And if
- 39:48Speaker 1: it's the nights, the nights are not these guys. Why
- 39:51Speaker 1: these guys are staring at her room. Why the tall
- 39:54Speaker 1: guy knew was gonna happen, I'm not sure. I mean,
- 39:57Speaker 1: we don't know what those goggles are doing, but maybe
- 39:59Speaker 1: they're sent temperature. So maybe he saw how hot the
- 40:03Speaker 1: system was and that's why he told her to get down.
- 40:06Speaker 1: That's my best guess. Either that or they really did
- 40:09Speaker 1: plant the bomb or something. I don't know there's a
- 40:13Speaker 1: bomb or I don't know, but now her room exploded
- 40:16Speaker 1: and that's a problem. But another thing, something that's really
- 40:22Speaker 1: bothering me, is Land's bedroom is on the second floor
- 40:25Speaker 1: of the house. Right, we know that she walks up
- 40:27Speaker 1: the stairs. Her floor is covered in like at least
- 40:30Speaker 1: an inch of water, but I guess she's also using
- 40:33Speaker 1: to cool the systems. Now, there are so many problems
- 40:37Speaker 1: with this, the first being if you just put a
- 40:41Speaker 1: lot of water all over your floor and you're on
- 40:43Speaker 1: the second floor, it would leak through your ceiling and
- 40:47Speaker 1: her family would know this was happening and it would
- 40:49Speaker 1: be this whole big deal. Even if she were to
- 40:51Speaker 1: like put a tarp down and like try to make
- 40:54Speaker 1: it good, it probably wouldn't work. Also, that's a lot
- 40:56Speaker 1: of weights on the floor, so it wouldn't be good.
- 40:59Speaker 1: So this all should be leaking. There's no way she
- 41:03Speaker 1: waterproofed it good enough that this is gonna work. And
- 41:06Speaker 1: then the other thing that is really concerning is you
- 41:09Speaker 1: have all of these like high powered electronics and shit
- 41:14Speaker 1: just sitting in water, like all these wires and shit.
- 41:17Speaker 1: That is really dangerous, Like you can get yourself super
- 41:20Speaker 1: electrocuted that way, And I'm sure like she doesn't have
- 41:24Speaker 1: the correct outlets that would protect her if one of
- 41:27Speaker 1: the components got filled with water, it was gonna shock everything.
- 41:30Speaker 1: She should have GFCI outlets in her room to protect
- 41:33Speaker 1: her in case that was gonna happen. And I know
- 41:35Speaker 1: she doesn't, but maybe she does. Maybe she's just so
- 41:38Speaker 1: fucking cool and she's like studying everything and she's like,
- 41:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna get the right outlets. I'm gonna waterproof the
- 41:44Speaker 1: floor somehow. I don't understand what's happening, So none of
- 41:48Speaker 1: this makes really any sense. Plus, I mean there's just like,
- 41:51Speaker 1: how did she get all this technology? Anyway, she's a kid,
- 41:55Speaker 1: how was she buying this? Like what's happening? I don't know.
- 41:59Speaker 1: But maybe the water prevented the everything from going on
- 42:02Speaker 1: fire or something, or maybe the house is gonna burn down.
- 42:05Speaker 1: I don't remember actually, So yeah, that's that's something. There's
- 42:12Speaker 1: so many things to talk about in this episode. The
- 42:15Speaker 1: whole thing with the doctor Hodgson, I immediately was like,
- 42:19Speaker 1: well before I watched more of the episode, when they
- 42:22Speaker 1: said doctor Hodgson, I was like, is that someone I'm
- 42:24Speaker 1: supposed to know? Like is that a reference to something
- 42:26Speaker 1: in particular? It's not. According to what I was reading,
- 42:32Speaker 1: he was probably named after Chris Dodgson, who is better
- 42:36Speaker 1: known as Lewis Carroll, who wrote Alice in Wonderland, which,
- 42:40Speaker 1: uh is weird. It works with the cheshire Cat reference
- 42:44Speaker 1: a little bit earlier, but I don't know. I mean,
- 42:48Speaker 1: I don't know how that makes sense, except maybe they
- 42:50Speaker 1: just thought it was a cool sounding name or something
- 42:54Speaker 1: he was really into, like psychic ability stuff, I think, So,
- 43:00Speaker 1: I mean, there's that, and also, I mean maybe he
- 43:02Speaker 1: wasn't a great guy, but I don't think any of
- 43:05Speaker 1: that really has to do with anything. So this is
- 43:07Speaker 1: just a purely invented character, which is totally fine. Makes
- 43:12Speaker 1: it a little easier for me. But so he did
- 43:14Speaker 1: this experiment, he's a piece of shit. Obviously he didn't
- 43:17Speaker 1: really think about how bad this was affecting the kids
- 43:19Speaker 1: until after he I guess, killed a bunch of them
- 43:22Speaker 1: or maimed them. I wasn't really sure if when he
- 43:25Speaker 1: said that they like their souls were lost, if he
- 43:28Speaker 1: meant that like they died, or if he meant like
- 43:30Speaker 1: they are trapped in the wired forever. Either way isn't good.
- 43:36Speaker 1: I would assume died because it looked like there was
- 43:37Speaker 1: an explosion, but I don't know, but like that's shitty,
- 43:41Speaker 1: I guess, I mean obviously, and like you can't just
- 43:45Speaker 1: die in the middle of having a conversation with someone
- 43:48Speaker 1: that's not nice. I don't know, so yeah. And then also,
- 43:52Speaker 1: of course there's Lane in the sky, which is weird
- 43:54Speaker 1: and I guess is related to kids, but I don't
- 43:57Speaker 1: know how, and I don't know how. People were like,
- 44:00Speaker 1: was this a prank? Like the fuck? What? Like there's
- 44:04Speaker 1: a person in the sky, but what do you mean what?
- 44:08Speaker 1: This is? Obviously something just insane. I don't know. And
- 44:12Speaker 1: then of course there's whatever's going on with Mika, who
- 44:14Speaker 1: is just like I don't know, so is the Meka
- 44:17Speaker 1: we're seeing now real Mika? Is it like doppelganger Mika?
- 44:21Speaker 1: Because if it's real Mika, is she just so upset
- 44:24Speaker 1: and far gone that she like thinks she doesn't exist anymore,
- 44:28Speaker 1: Like cause that might be cool, like if she's her,
- 44:31Speaker 1: but she's just having all of these horrible things happen,
- 44:34Speaker 1: and she's scared of fulfilling the prophecy stuff that, like
- 44:38Speaker 1: she's just in a state of like shock and fear,
- 44:41Speaker 1: and that's what's happening. Yeah, that's my guess. She's just
- 44:44Speaker 1: had all of these really crazy experiences and felt like
- 44:46Speaker 1: she doesn't exist or didn't exist for a little while
- 44:50Speaker 1: or something, and she is just like totally lost it.
- 44:53Speaker 1: So yeah, why not, I'm gonna stick to that. So
- 44:59Speaker 1: besides all that stuff that I just said, the other
- 45:02Speaker 1: thing is we have Lane, who was pretty fucking cool
- 45:05Speaker 1: when she's in the wired and talking to those guys
- 45:09Speaker 1: with the goggles on. This is a lot of pressure
- 45:12Speaker 1: for like a kid, because it seems like she feels
- 45:14Speaker 1: like she's the only one who can do anything about this,
- 45:16Speaker 1: and maybe she is, and I don't know why that
- 45:18Speaker 1: would be, but this is too much like going there
- 45:23Speaker 1: and like talking to this doctor who killed a bunch
- 45:26Speaker 1: of kids, and then he dies, and then she finds
- 45:29Speaker 1: out that maybe the Knights, who have been really friendly
- 45:32Speaker 1: with her and nice and maybe she considered them to
- 45:34Speaker 1: be her friends are like trying to kill her or
- 45:38Speaker 1: doing experiments on children. Again, like, yeah, what's what's going on?
- 45:43Speaker 1: So that's what I got from this episode. I'm starting
- 45:45Speaker 1: to feel like this is a little bit more cohesive,
- 45:48Speaker 1: but I'm not sure because it feels like every episode
- 45:50Speaker 1: we've had kind of a different like plot line going through,
- 45:53Speaker 1: Like the thing with the kids playing tag and then
- 45:57Speaker 1: the whole thing with Mika. Last episode just feels like
- 46:00Speaker 1: every episode is kind of like the story is going
- 46:03Speaker 1: in multiple directions, you know, but this one felt like
- 46:06Speaker 1: maybe it was going to unify things. So we'll have
- 46:09Speaker 1: to see next episode if we continue on this track
- 46:11Speaker 1: and she's still trying to find out about kids and
- 46:13Speaker 1: all that stuff, or if we're just gonna hit a
- 46:15Speaker 1: different facet of something because we really like I'd like
- 46:19Speaker 1: this to be more cohesive. That's what I'm trying to say. Yeah,
- 46:22Speaker 1: but that's really all I have to say about this.
- 46:25Speaker 1: I think I don't know. I hope that made sense
- 46:27Speaker 1: and that you don't hate me. If you do that,
- 46:31Speaker 1: that would make sense. I would, I would understand. But
- 46:34Speaker 1: I like you, so it's okay. You don't have to
- 46:38Speaker 1: like me. I'll just like you or not. If you
- 46:40Speaker 1: don't want me to, I can stop. I don't know
- 46:42Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Guys, it's been rough. I'm gonna go
- 46:46Speaker 1: do things. I don't know what the things are. But
- 46:49Speaker 1: I hope you have a really good whatever, and I
- 46:52Speaker 1: will see you next time later webs
