GIANTS POSTCAST: GIANTS LIMPING TO THE FINISH LINE With Another Loss at Oracle Park
The San Francisco Giants continue to fall apart down the stretch, falling again today to the St. Louis Cardinals 6-5 at Oracle Park. Justin Verlander had his worst start in a month as he got tagged for six runs (four earned) and nine hits in his 4.1 innings pitched. And again, despite a hot start from the San Francisco Giants' offense, they could not generate any real threat in the later innings of this game. With the loss, they fall to 3.5 games back of the third and final NL Wild Card spot with just five games left to play.
