It's a beautiful day in Auburn and it's
• 0:02
uh it's time for opening day of Auburn
• 0:05
  baseball. Actually, opening night
• 0:06
tonight at 5:30 at Plansson Park. Uh
• 0:09
Auburn takes on Youngstown State. Um
• 0:12
beginning of the journey that they hope
• 0:14
ends in Omaha and Butch Thompson hasn't
• 0:17
shot away. Look, the next step for this
• 0:19
team is to try to go win a national
• 0:21
championship. Um does this team have the
• 0:23
pieces to do that? We'll find out. Um
• 0:26
but it does have pieces and that's an
• 0:28
interesting part of this one. uh lots of
• 0:30
depth on the mound. Um you know, in the
• 0:32
  field there's 13 14 guys that could
• 0:34
potentially even be a starting lineup,
• 0:36
but but some some different buttons to
• 0:38
push now. Can you push the right buttons
• 0:41
and can you find the right pieces to put
• 0:43
together? That's the challenge now as as
• 0:45
this season gets underway. Um but I do
• 0:48
think there's some interesting parts of
• 0:49
this one. you know, you look on the
• 0:51
mound and Jake Marciano um gets a start
• 0:55
on Friday night for the Tigers Virginia
• 0:57
Tech transfer, but um Jackson Sanders,
• 1:00
Alex Petravic, we'll get to start the
• 1:02
rest of the weekend. But look, uh
• 1:04
Griffin Graves is a guy that potentially
• 1:06
could be a starter as early as next
• 1:07
weekend when they go to Arlington. You
• 1:08
also have Drew Whan and Christian
• 1:10
Chatterton and Andreas Alvarez and LJ
• 1:12
Cormier. there's other options for this
• 1:15
team and you might see some back-to-back
• 1:17
uh openers and and and guys that can
• 1:20
maybe three three or four innings for
• 1:22
this team. So, lots of things to look at
• 1:24
for this team. Uh mentioned a couple of
• 1:26
names. Um maybe surprise pitcher for me.
• 1:30
It it it won't be a real surprise, but I
• 1:33
think we've talked about a lot, but
• 1:34
  Garrett Brewer, Michigan State transfer
• 1:36
lefty back end of a game, I think is a
• 1:39
guy that's going to be really
• 1:40
instrumental for this team. And I think
• 1:42
Bob Terrell's is a guy that has a chance
• 1:44
to have that breakout season. We saw
• 1:45
Chris Rebert be really good, Chase
• 1:47
Freigher be really good last year. I
• 1:49
think it may be Bob Terrell that that
• 1:51
steps it up even more this season. So,
• 1:53
lot to look forward to. Go check out
• 1:54
Bunkers of Auburn if you're in town for
• 1:56
games. Great atmosphere. Go check them
• 1:58
  out. Bunkers Auburn downtown. Tele
• 1:59
  message.
