Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Cubby, Christine, and Kristen, speaking of the weekend, I'm just
- 0:03Speaker 1: trying to basically get back on our time zone after
- 0:06Speaker 1: our long trip. You're going to be out and about
- 0:08Speaker 1: in the city tomorrow, Christine, and I can't wait to
- 0:11Speaker 1: see the photos.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Tell everybody what you're going to be doing.
- 0:14Speaker 3: We're going to see Masquerade.
- 0:16Speaker 2: And you're going to be dressing the part?
- 0:19Speaker 3: Sort of, yes. I mean, as somebody attending the ball.
- 0:23Speaker 3: So do you know the show Phantom of the Opera?
- 0:25Speaker 3: Heard of it, know it. And all the beautiful music, yes.
- 0:28Speaker 3: This is an immersive experience. This is like you're in it.
- 0:32Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Yeah. I can't wait for this. I honestly don't know
- 0:36Speaker 3: that much about it. And I think that's by design.
- 0:38Speaker 3: They want you to kind of come there and discover it.
- 0:41Speaker 3: You don't get physical tickets. You get a password. And
- 0:45Speaker 3: that's your way into the theater.
- 0:46Speaker 2: This is really neat.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it's cool. You're asked to dress up, right? Like
- 0:51Speaker 3: you're like, you know, a night at the opera. And
- 0:55Speaker 3: try to wear either black or white. Um, and you
- 0:59Speaker 3: have to wear a mask and if you don't have
- 1:01Speaker 3: a mask, they'll provide one.
- 1:03Speaker 2: And is it going to be weird doing this for
- 1:05Speaker 2: a matinee?
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I mean, like it's going to be cool no matter what,
- 1:09Speaker 1: but it's going to be like one o'clock in the
- 1:11Speaker 1: afternoon and you're going to be getting all dolled up.
- 1:13Speaker 3: I mean, you know, I like to do things early
- 1:15Speaker 3: in the day cause we get tired in the evening.
- 1:17Speaker 3: But I'm going with my good friend, Ann, you know,
- 1:19Speaker 3: my favorite theater partner.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Is Ann tuned in right now? Yes. Ann, what's up, girl?
- 1:24Speaker 3: Good morning, Ann Sayers.
- 1:25Speaker 2: And she's the wild one in the group.
- 1:26Speaker 3: We love you.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Yeah, is she?
- 1:28Speaker 2: You guys are going to end up somewhere after this.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Well, Eric's also going with us.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Oh, well, there you go. You definitely are going to
- 1:34Speaker 2: be in a ditch by the end of the night.
- 1:36Speaker 3: And he has agreed, Cubby, because he had to. He's
- 1:39Speaker 3: going to wear his suit and he's going to wear
- 1:41Speaker 3: a mask and he's all for it. He's into it.
- 1:43Speaker 2: That is so fun. Is there going to be, is
- 1:45Speaker 2: there like alcohol there?
- 1:46Speaker 3: I was just thinking that.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I mean, do they teach you?
- 1:48Speaker 3: Please tell me there's going to be some alcohol involved.
- 1:51Speaker 3: You know? I honestly, I need to.
- 1:53Speaker 2: There's got to be a bar there.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I would think. I don't know. I mean, there
- 1:57Speaker 3: is always at theaters. I don't know if they let
- 1:59Speaker 3: you walk around with the drinks or not, though.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Because you have to. They tell women don't wear high
- 2:03Speaker 3: heels because you're going to want to move. Like, you're
- 2:06Speaker 3: going to run from room to room and follow the characters.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Well, that's kind of a bummer. I thought that was
- 2:09Speaker 2: going to be part of the look. That's kind of
- 2:11Speaker 2: hot to me. You can't wear heels?
- 2:13Speaker 3: Anne's going to wear her heels for the photos. Okay?
- 2:16Speaker 3: We're going to do a photo op. And then we're
- 2:19Speaker 3: going to go back to the flats, so we won't
- 2:21Speaker 3: let you down.
- 2:21Speaker 2: All right.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Do you remember the show Sleep No More? Did you
- 2:24Speaker 3: guys see that? I'm looking at producer Chris.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I remember the band Faith No More.
- 2:27Speaker 3: And did you love it?
- 2:29Speaker 2: There's a band called Faith No More. What's this called?
- 2:33Speaker 3: Sleep No More.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Sleep No More. This was a Broadway show or a movie?
- 2:36Speaker 2: What was this?
- 2:37Speaker 3: Off-Broadway. Off-Broadway. It was completely immersive. You go in, they
- 2:40Speaker 3: were doing a mashup of Macbeth and another movie from
- 2:45Speaker 3: the 40s. And you would go from room to room
- 2:48Speaker 3: and you would walk through the scenes, right, and follow
- 2:51Speaker 3: this along. And you would kind of get into whichever
- 2:54Speaker 3: storyline you wanted to get into. And you had to
- 2:56Speaker 3: wear a mask and you weren't allowed to speak. And
- 2:59Speaker 3: you would go in with your partner. I went with
- 3:00Speaker 3: our friend.
- 3:01Speaker 2: It's like producer Kristen, not allowed to speak.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I know. I know how she feels. Well, I went
- 3:04Speaker 3: in with.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Oh, she can make noise in the background. She can't
- 3:08Speaker 2: talk on the radio, but do it again. Do it again.
- 3:11Speaker 2: She can make noise, producer Kristen.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I went with our friend Greg Charles, who you know
- 3:14Speaker 3: from Carolines. They split us up. They do it on purpose.
- 3:18Speaker 3: So now you're walking alone in the dark through these
- 3:21Speaker 3: creepy scenes. And it was a really cool experience. Greg
- 3:24Speaker 3: Charles got so freaked out, he left. He left me
- 3:29Speaker 3: in there. I was walking around looking for him all night.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Some friend.
- 3:32Speaker 3: He's gone.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Right.
- 3:34Speaker 3: You could have drinks there. Before you went in, there
- 3:36Speaker 3: was a jazz band playing. Before you went in to
- 3:39Speaker 3: get you in the mood, well, guess what I found
- 3:41Speaker 3: out years later? Who was in that band?
- 3:44Speaker 2: Your fiancé. Wow. He was the drummer. That is so cool.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Yes. So we, I guess, saw each other. We're in
- 3:51Speaker 3: the same place at the same time. But we didn't
- 3:53Speaker 3: know each other yet.
- 3:54Speaker 2: That is a really cool story.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I got goosebumps right now.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Isn't that cool? So he's excited to go see Masquerade
- 3:59Speaker 3: with me tomorrow because he feels like it's the same
- 4:01Speaker 3: Might be like that kind of experience, but we'll be
- 4:04Speaker 3: together this time.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Follow the Christine Nagy on Instagram and get all the pictures.
- 4:09Speaker 1: There'll be a big photo dump probably when you get home.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Like you can't do it.
- 4:12Speaker 3: We can't do it in the theater.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Right, but when you get home.
- 4:14Speaker 3: But before and after.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And you're on the toilet and you just do a
- 4:17Speaker 1: bunch of pictures. That's when I post mine, like.
- 4:19Speaker 2: You know.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Good to know, Paul Cubby Bryant.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yeah, follow me on Instagram, Paul Cubby Bryant.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Producer Kristen.
- 4:25Speaker 2: And producer Kristen, of course.
