- 1:12I'm Tamara K.
- 1:13Anderson, your host.
- 1:14And joining me today are two amazing women.
- 1:17Lemira Wheelwright.
- 1:19Thanks for being here again, Lemira.
- 1:22Hi.
- 1:22I love it.
- 1:23I'm happy to be here again.
- 1:25And we also have Haley Freeman.
- 1:28Haley, thanks for being with us again.
- 1:30Thank you.
- 1:31Good morning.
- 1:33Good morning.
- 1:34And here we are, guys.
- 1:36We have been talking the last few weeks about the witnesses of Christ leading up to his birth.
- 1:43And we've kind of talked about Elizabeth and Zacharias and Mary and her story.
- 1:50And now we are coming to another key player in the story and that is Joseph and how he plays into all of this.
- 2:01So at the beginning, if you want to follow along, we're going to be in Matthew chapter one.
- 2:07And in this beginning of Matthew, we have the genealogy of Jesus Christ.
- 2:15And of course we know that Jesus truly isn't Joseph's biological son.
- 2:21He, he was conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost, is what we read in Luke chapter one.
- 2:27And but because Joseph was his father, he we have the lineage of Joseph and he goes clear back to Abraham.
- 2:42So we so that the generations of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
- 2:48And so this kind of comes down, we see that there's Abraham, we see Boaz and Ruth in there.
- 2:55We covered Ruth in this podcast.
- 2:58We see date King David in the lineage.
- 3:00And I'm not going to read all the names because I probably couldn't pronounce half of them very well, but that's okay.
- 3:05And then we come to verse 16 and it says, and Jacob begat Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
- 3:16And this is important because we see that Jesus was born into the kingly line.
- 3:25In fact, if they were still living with kings as their leaders in Israel, Jesus would have been born as king.
- 3:37Okay.
- 3:38Because he was born in that line.
- 3:42So it's kind of cool to see this now because they were the Israelites were brought into captivity by Babylon.
- 3:51That didn't happen.
- 3:52But we see that even though Jesus was born in very, very humble circumstances, this was his heritage.
- 3:59He would have been born as king.
- 4:02Okay, so this is where we pick up the story in verse 18 and it says now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise when as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph before they came together, she
- 4:21was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
- 4:23And I don't know how that conversation went down with Mary and Joseph or if he just found out, hey, she came back from visiting Elizabeth and she looks pregnant.
- 4:32Do you know what I mean?
- 4:34We, we don't know how that conversation went down.
- 4:36That would be terrifying.
- 4:38Oh my goodness.
- 4:40You know, I think, I think Mary must have come back knowing she was showing at this point and she'd had such a positive experience with Elizabeth.
- 4:52Elizabeth witnessed and knew that she was the mother of the Son of God and then coming back and okay, we've got to face the fire here with, with Joseph because.
- 5:04And I'll let Lemire explain this.
- 5:06I'll read verse 19 and then let.
- 5:08Let Lemyra explain kind of the background here.
- 5:12It says then Joseph, her husband, being a just man and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
- 5:21Now Lemira, I'm going to let you give kind of the historical background of what was typically.
- 5:26What typically happened in Israel in a situation like this.
- 5:30Yeah.
- 5:31So typically.
- 5:32And this is something I've learned from a religious professor when I was in school.
- 5:38And he talked that back then and according to the law of Moses, a woman who was right found in the situation would have been stoned according to the law of Moses.
- 5:51I mean we can think that with the woman, woman who was taken in adultery.
- 5:54Right.
- 5:54That we saw, we see later in Jesus's life.
- 5:58But Joseph knowing that he was a, I love that they say just man.
- 6:05Like he knew, he knew that justice had to happen, but he had so much mercy.
- 6:10And here I just, ah, getting chills.
- 6:13He's an epitome of Jesus Christ himself and having that justice and that mercy.
- 6:17Right.
- 6:17And trying to find the balance to a woman, I feel like, because he didn't want to put her away publicly.
- 6:24Like, he didn't want to make a public example of Mary.
- 6:28It tells me that he was kind of like, wait a minute, you know, like you, like you mentioned, like, what do I do here?
- 6:36You know, because I'm in this situation, and yet I, I think I believe her, but I don't.
- 6:43I just don't know what to do.
- 6:45And so instead, he was going to do it very quietly, very humbly, and, and not make a big scene of it, you know, which would be hard on him, right?
- 6:58As this man, like, okay, I'm supposed to marry this woman.
- 7:00And.
- 7:02And she's found in this way.
- 7:03And so I love how humble he is and how meek and willing he is to be like, okay, he must show great respect for Mary.
- 7:14He must have had some of that love there for her to be willing to do that, to want to follow the law of Moses, and yet at the same time, go, God.
- 7:25Something seems off.
- 7:26Like, help me know what to do here.
- 7:29Can I add something?
- 7:30Yes.
- 7:31Reading about this phase that they have this espoused.
- 7:35And so what it is, is they say that there, it actually holds more weight than when they are married.
- 7:41So with this covenant that they have is between this, when they are betrothed, when they're engaged, when they're married can last up to a year, that phase.
- 7:50And it's, It's.
- 7:51They're considered man and wife.
- 7:52They're called man and wife, but they don't live together yet.
- 7:55And so this is a very.
- 7:57It's.
- 7:57It's considered very high in the covenant.
- 8:01And for people that, you know, between them and God, it's very sacred and it's very, you know, very serious.
- 8:09And then it's, like I said, they say this part is considered even more heavy in the law than even, like, later and more important than even, like, later when the marriage.
- 8:21Marriage ceremony comes later.
- 8:23And like I said, it could last up to a year, but they don't live together yet.
- 8:27They live the law of chastity.
- 8:29And so that is the phase that Mary and Joseph were in during this time.
- 8:35Yeah, I, I love, I love what you guys have both highlighted and taught us about Mary and Joseph and their situation.
- 8:46I love.
- 8:47And I think God was very careful about where he placed Jesus.
- 8:51I mean, of all the children being born on the earth, it was very, very important who his mother was and then who his father was, the man that he looked up to while he was in mortality here.
- 9:06And and so God knew who they needed to be.
- 9:12And I love that what you Drew out Lemyra about him being a just and a merciful man, very kind, full of love.
- 9:23He loved Mary.
- 9:24We can see that.
- 9:28And he was trying to find a solution to a very, very difficult problem.
- 9:33How do I solve this?
- 9:35I love that.
- 9:37He probably did pray and say, God, how do I do this?
- 9:40How do I figure this out?
- 9:41How do I straddle this justice and mercy?
- 9:45I don't want her stoned.
- 9:46She's such a good woman.
- 9:48He could sense her goodness.
- 9:49He knew of her goodness.
- 9:52And God, of course, answers.
- 9:54And we'll read about this in verse 20.
- 9:56And on, it says, but while he thought on these things, so he was thinking about it.
- 10:02I think that's one of the first steps, if you're struggling with a decision, is really think about it, pray about it.
- 10:07It says, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary, thy wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy
- 10:23Ghost.
- 10:24And she shall bring forth a son.
- 10:25And thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.
- 10:34And now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet saying, behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son.
- 10:44Son.
- 10:44And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is being interpreted.
- 10:49God is.
- 10:51Is God with us?
- 10:53And then we'll read what Joseph did here in a little bit.
- 10:57So let's pause right there.
- 10:59So he has this amazing dream.
- 11:02God spoke to him.
- 11:03Now, God hasn't spoken to me in dreams, but I know Haley's had that example.
- 11:07I think different people have different gifts, right?
- 11:11And so he's going to speak to each of us differently.
- 11:15And this was definitely one of Joseph's gifts.
- 11:19And, Haley, I'll let you talk a little bit about dreams, and then we'll discuss a little bit more about.
- 11:25Yeah, so like you were saying, it was during this.
- 11:28His struggle, while he was thinking on these things, while he was in his struggle, is when an angel came to him.
- 11:34And I think that's often when we get those answers to our prayers and when we have these opportunities for angels to come and minister to us.
- 11:42And I know, like, when.
- 11:45And I love how this is how it says, in his dream, angel came.
- 11:49And.
- 11:50And I think this says a lot about Joseph, that he was very in tune with the spirit.
- 11:55He was.
- 11:56He had the gift of revelation.
- 11:57He had.
- 12:00He was a visionary man.
- 12:01He was a bit like, we talked about how humble he was, and we Know in his lifetime he was, was communicated by angels through dreams four times.
- 12:10So this was his first time.
- 12:12And then when Harold was was going to kill Jesus and was in danger, he was visited again in a dream.
- 12:19And then he was.
- 12:20So he went to Egypt and then he had a dream again saying that it was safe to, to come back.
- 12:25And then that was a dream.
- 12:26And then he had a dream again to go to Galilee.
- 12:28So we know these four times.
- 12:30And so this is an example to us that we know that this is a way that God can communicate to us is through dreams.
- 12:37And he could send angels in those dreams or he can communicate in different ways through dreams.
- 12:43And I've had, I've had different sacred experiences with this as well.
- 12:48I know when my dad died, my brother had my dad visit him in a dream.
- 12:54And I've had different experiences.
- 12:56So I know that this is a true principle.
- 13:00And so that's that I just love reading those experiences experiences in the scripture because we know any miracles or anything that we read in the scriptures can happen to for us in our day.
- 13:10So I love that.
- 13:11And then another thing I just wanted to point out is it's mission twice how it says conceived in her as of the Holy Ghost.
- 13:18And that can kind of sound confusing, but if you read deeper into that, it means it's through the power of the Holy Ghost because we know he's the Son of God.
- 13:26So that's another point I thought that's a good one to point out in these verses.
- 13:33Yeah, there's.
- 13:35And then here it's saying Jesus to name him Jesus for He shall save his people.
- 13:43And then it says how he went ahead and did that.
- 13:46So just knowing how Joseph went ahead and did follow through with naming him Jesus was kind of a testament that Jesus that Joseph had faith that he was going to be the Savior because just the name itself means
- 14:01like to save and that he would be the one to save.
- 14:05Their name meaning God is help and Lord save us.
- 14:08So just the fact that he named him Jesus was a testimony that he knew he was going to be the Savior.
- 14:14So I thought that was kind of a neat point.
- 14:16Yeah, love that.
- 14:18Oh, so many, so many good insights there.
- 14:20Thank you so much for sharing Lamira thoughts on these verses.
- 14:26Yeah, what struck me is as we were reading, you know, the genealogy, right.
- 14:32And the first thing, and I feel like the reason that's important is not only because we know he would be king, right?
- 14:40King of the Jews.
- 14:41However, when the angel comes to Joseph, he says, Joseph, thou son of David, Now I believe that Joseph and Mary were very religious, God fearing people.
- 14:58They knew their scriptures, they knew their prayers, they knew, they followed all, they knew the scriptures.
- 15:03I mean, they could quote them, right?
- 15:05They know this.
- 15:07And what better way to get the attention of, you know, Jesus's father than to say his earthly father, than to say, thou, son of David and recall his lineage, who he came from, who he's meant for, and then
- 15:23to introduce the Savior, just like Haley said, he said, you're going to call his name Jesus, that's who it's going to be.
- 15:30And then Joseph can recall, oh, I know the prophecies, I know what this is.
- 15:36And can you imagine what he must have felt suddenly all those prophecies coming back and going, oh, that's, that's me.
- 15:44Oh, oh, I'm that Joseph.
- 15:48I mean, because Joseph was a common name, right?
- 15:50But, but to go, oh, the son of the lineage from Joseph, although, you know, from Jacob and Joseph and David and now going, oh, this is me, this is me.
- 16:03And I love that, that that's the first thing is so when we're struggling, we don't have a clear answer.
- 16:09I think it's super important to remember who we are and whose we are and that lineage and that we do have that power behind us.
- 16:18Even if we're in these humble circumstances, we don't know what we're to do.
- 16:22Oh man, when we've got him on our side, you know, the God, the King of kings, when we've got him with us, man, remember who we are.
- 16:33And I bet that gave Joseph a lot of strength going, yes, okay, this could be me.
- 16:40Yes.
- 16:40I love that you said that.
- 16:42I was thinking about that too.
- 16:44Yes, it like reminded him of those prophecies.
- 16:46And that's one thing that Matthew, because he's the author of this, these verses, he in the beginning.
- 16:53Well, why.
- 16:53And Tamara kind of mentioned this too.
- 16:55Like he, why he brought the, that genealogy up is to remind because at the time he's writing for the convincing of the Jews that this is the Savior.
- 17:04And so he mentioned that lineage again and again because they believed at the time this is the main focus of what they believed the Messiah was going to be.
- 17:12They knew that he was going to be the son of David.
- 17:14He knew they knew there's going to be the lineage of that.
- 17:17And so I think that is why Matthew kept talking about that.
- 17:21And actually I read something really interesting is they in the Hebrew language, it was not just about number letters, it was also about numbers.
- 17:29And so he, he did 14 generations.
- 17:33And David in the numbers of the, that language actually was 14.
- 17:37The number, the name David is 14.
- 17:39And then he did 14 generations.
- 17:40And he kept reiterating to the Jews, this is the Messiah with that lineage.
- 17:45And so I love that you brought that up again.
- 17:49Awesome.
- 17:49Thanks, guys.
- 17:51That is so good.
- 17:52I love, I love, LaMira, that you also introduced that idea of remembering who you are, remember your lineage.
- 18:00And as we as pause and ponder, our spiritual lineage can go straight to God.
- 18:06You know that we are children of God and it, it's, it's a good thing to remember when we're stuck with a vexing problem and we're not sure what to do.
- 18:19God surely knows the answer.
- 18:22A few things that stood out to me in those verses were the naming of Jesus Christ.
- 18:28I love that, that the angel told both Joseph and Mary what his name needed to be.
- 18:36You know, this is what you need to call him.
- 18:39And they both were people of action.
- 18:44And they knew.
- 18:46Okay, done.
- 18:47You know, we will do that.
- 18:50We're going to take a quick break, but when we get back, we'll have more lessons, tips, and things you can.
- 18:55Apply to your life.
- 18:57Stay tuned.
- 19:00Hey, my friends, are you looking for a meaningful Christmas gift this year?
- 19:06If so, you need look no further.
- 19:09I have a fantastic, sweet short story I am so excited to share with you.
- 19:14My new booklet.
- 19:15It's called a Broken Down Holiday.
- 19:19This is the story of a widowed young mother trying to travel home, home for the holidays soon after her husband dies and being stranded in the middle of nowhere.
- 19:29And some of the hard things that she experiences and some of the miracles that you wouldn't think were miracles that she had happen.
- 19:37But it is based on a true story that happened to my mother in law.
- 19:42It's great for those friends that you're just like, what do I get them?
- 19:45Something simple.
- 19:46That's under five bucks.
- 19:48It's a great stocking stuffer.
- 19:50So if you want to share this message of hope with your friends or family members, check it out.
- 19:56A Broken down holiday on tamarakanderson.com I love how this talks in here about the fulfillment of the prophecy that behold, a virgin shall conceive.
- 20:11And this is referenced in Isaiah.
- 20:16So bringing that to the present, this is the fulfillment of that prophecy.
- 20:22And all of a sudden Mary being pregnant makes sense.
- 20:26You're like, oh, okay, good, then this makes sense.
- 20:32And this is the time.
- 20:33Kind of like Lamira is saying.
- 20:35All right, so let's, let's finish this chapter really quick.
- 20:38There are two verses here in this chapter.
- 20:41That we haven't finished yet.
- 20:42It's verse 24 and 25.
- 20:44And it says, then Joseph, being raised from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him and took unto him his wife and knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son, and he called
- 20:59his name Jesus.
- 21:02And there's some beautiful things in those verses.
- 21:06And, Lemira, we'll start with you.
- 21:07I know you had something you wanted to share from verse 24.
- 21:11Yeah.
- 21:12I love where it said, then Joseph being raised from sleep and took him.
- 21:18Basically.
- 21:19He.
- 21:20He.
- 21:20I feel like when I read this this last time, it wasn't just, oh, because the angel woke him up.
- 21:26It was.
- 21:27He went.
- 21:28He was raised from a spiritual sleep.
- 21:30He was able to go, oh, seeing all the prophecies.
- 21:35Oh, he was awakened to his destiny.
- 21:41Ah, I'm gonna get emotional.
- 21:45As the earthly father of this savior, that he had the responsibility to raise the Son of God and that he was awakened from that sleep and he went, oh, this is my calling.
- 22:01And then the thing that hits me so hard is it says, he did as the angel of the Lord bidden him and took unto him his wife.
- 22:11And we don't know the time period, but I feel like he was like, he's up.
- 22:16He's like, this is what I'm to do, and I'm going to do it, and I move forward.
- 22:20He didn't question.
- 22:22He knew.
- 22:23And from then on, he did what the Lord asked him to do.
- 22:27And as Haley pointed out, the later dreams that Joseph has just shows.
- 22:33He's just like, oh, okay, he's.
- 22:36God speaks.
- 22:37And I do.
- 22:38And I go and I do.
- 22:39And I feel like, what an amazing man.
- 22:43He's awakened.
- 22:44He's what?
- 22:45He woke up.
- 22:46Sorry.
- 22:47And here he is, and he's just gonna.
- 22:50He's gonna love it.
- 22:50He's gonna do it.
- 22:51And.
- 22:53And I feel like that's in our.
- 22:55In our lives is these women warriors of light.
- 22:57When we are going, hey, what do I do?
- 23:01And we wake up and the Lord says, hey, this is a troubling situation.
- 23:05I love this because we are in a time where there's so many confusing things, right?
- 23:11Our children, our families are faced with difficult things that there's not an easy answer to.
- 23:17We can read the Scriptures, and yet we don't know what to do.
- 23:21This is.
- 23:21Hasn't happened in my line before, or I don't know what to do.
- 23:25And he can send that angel, he can send that answer, and then it's up to us to take that and go, all right, got it.
- 23:35And go do.
- 23:36And take that example.
- 23:40Wow, that is.
- 23:42That is such amazing insights for Joseph and for us.
- 23:46Right?
- 23:46I love how you drew in that.
- 23:48That's beautiful.
- 23:49Haley, thoughts on these verses?
- 23:53Yeah, I love what she said.
- 23:55Just beautiful.
- 23:56Thank you.
- 23:58I thought.
- 23:58I remember the first time I was in primary, you know, from my church.
- 24:02We had little primary classes and I remember hearing the stories and what really resonated to me is in Christmas time we would sing a little song called When Joseph Went to Bethlehem.
- 24:15And I remember then feeling a real tenderness toward Joseph.
- 24:20And that's when I started just to feel kind of a love for him and just a tenderness and appreciation for him.
- 24:26And I thought if it'd be okay, I just read a little bit of the verse because it's just so tender to me.
- 24:33Just.
- 24:34I'm going to just read a little bit of the first and then the second.
- 24:36So when Joseph went to Bethlehem, I think he took great care.
- 24:41Then I'm gonna go to the next.
- 24:42I think they're at the.
- 24:44The busy in that he was meek and mild and odd to be the guardian of Mary's sacred child.
- 24:53Perhaps.
- 24:54Although through the chilly hours he smoothed and swaddled with.
- 24:59Sorry.
- 25:01Oh, it's tender.
- 25:02He smoothed the swaddled swaddling bands.
- 25:06And Jesus felt the quiet strength of Joseph gentle hands and close beside the manger bed.
- 25:16He dimmed the lanterns light and held the little Jesus close up on that holy night.
- 25:22And I.
- 25:23I just remember having a testimony of the sweet gentle Joseph even as a little child with those tender words.
- 25:30And.
- 25:31And I just love that, like she said, what we could learn of his attributes.
- 25:34And.
- 25:35And so that's just one of my thoughts on that.
- 25:40Love it.
- 25:41Thanks for sharing those words.
- 25:44I think often people who write little songs or poems, they have pondered a lot about how can I share my light and how can I share my testimony of Jesus Christ the world.
- 26:01And it's interesting to see that come out in different ways because we each have different gifts.
- 26:06Right.
- 26:10My final takeaway with these verses is, oh, you guys have covered so much of this so beautifully.
- 26:22I love Joseph acting so quickly and just knowing, okay, that's my answer.
- 26:32I'm not going to sit and question because often when we get those answers, you know, Satan tries to throw everything at us but the kitchen sink.
- 26:39And he's like, no, no, doubt, doubt.
- 26:42No, no, that's not what was meant.
- 26:44I mean, I think God spoke to Joseph in a way to where Joseph knew and did not doubt.
- 26:50And he was One of those people who was faithful enough that he just went and acted.
- 26:56And, and so I think that is that decisiveness, not fearing, moving forward with faith, those are attributes that I really, really admire in Joseph and, and that he would need down the line.
- 27:18He was asked to do different things in dreams.
- 27:20I mean, leaving your people, going to a different country when you didn't have families surrounding you.
- 27:24I mean, these are not just, hey, easy things to do, you know, go marry, go get married to Mary.
- 27:34Yes, she's pregnant, but it's okay, you know, this is part of the fulfillment of prophecy, that it eased his fears enough and that he probably was, as you mentioned in that hint in that little song, Haley, that he
- 27:52was odd to be the guardian of Jesus Christ.
- 27:58That would be a humbling calling and responsibility, probably a heavy one.
- 28:03You know, you would feel very responsible for their protection.
- 28:07And I think as parents we feel that for our children.
- 28:10And I think what's really neat about this is that we can draw on this as a parental role, whether they are biological child or not.
- 28:23That we, God will give us inspiration to know how to help our children, to help those that are under us.
- 28:30I know that one of the things I'm doing right now is I'm teaching children at church and I pray about the lessons that I teach these kids.
- 28:40How do I teach them in a way that they can learn?
- 28:42And God gives me inspiration for that even.
- 28:44So, whether they are our biological children or not, God can inspire us how to bless children, how to protect children, how to teach them what they should do.
- 29:02I know I've had several instances with my children where I didn't know how to solve the problem that they were facing.
- 29:11It was new to me.
- 29:12I'd never been the parent of a 16 year old before in this particular situation or whatever it is.
- 29:19And I'm just like, dear Lord, just like Joseph, what do I do?
- 29:23How do I solve this?
- 29:24I don't even know.
- 29:26And the same pattern played out in my life.
- 29:31Pondering.
- 29:32Sometimes I had to do some research and figuring out that was part of the pondering process.
- 29:38Well, here's some things that I found online.
- 29:40Is this right for my child?
- 29:42Because sometimes we'll find answers and they might not be the right thing, but God will always answer with what is right for those that are in our care, right?
- 29:52So I love that.
- 29:53And then I love that he called his name Jesus.
- 29:59That was another action he took.
- 30:00Not only did he marry her, but he gave him the name that he was supposed to have.
- 30:06So that was that was pretty cool.
- 30:08We learned that in last episode that names usually come down in family lines, and so they were bucking tradition.
- 30:15Just like John wasn't called John the Baptist wasn't named Zacharias.
- 30:21He was named John for a reason.
- 30:23Jesus was named Jesus for a reason, and he fulfilled that prophecy as well.
- 30:28All right, guys, final takeaways, and we'll wrap it up here.
- 30:31Let's see.
- 30:32Haley, let's start with you.
- 30:35So many.
- 30:36So many takeaways.
- 30:38I think I'll stick with my favorite, which is knowing that God can communicate to us through dreams, and that's one way of revelation, and that it can happen in our lives, too, and that he will come to us
- 30:50in the moments that we are struggling and that if we ask for help, he will come to us.
- 30:57I love that.
- 30:58Thank you.
- 30:58Thank you.
- 30:59Thank you, Lemira.
- 31:01So mine.
- 31:02After our discussion, that just hit me as one, God knows who you are and whose you are.
- 31:08Two, he's going to communicate to you in a way that you will understand and that will help you.
- 31:15And three, he will provide that way for you.
- 31:18And in overcoming these difficult things, he'll give you that way, and he'll support you the whole way through it.
- 31:26Oh, so, so good, right?
- 31:29I think it is such a blessing to know that we're not alone in these difficult decisions, that God has things in place that he can guide us through it.
- 31:40What a blessing.
- 31:41I.
- 31:41I seriously wonder how non believers do it.
- 31:44How do they make decisions?
- 31:45I don't know, because so much of my decisions is prayer and pondering and, Lord, is this right?
- 31:56And waiting to feel the answer in my heart.
- 31:59Or Haley's lucky enough to get dreams.
- 32:02That's awesome.
- 32:03You know, I've had.
- 32:05I know sometimes I hear whispers, but.
- 32:09And that's usually.
- 32:10Or something just feels right, you know, sometimes I'll be going down.
- 32:15Okay, I'll do this then.
- 32:16And it just doesn't feel right.
- 32:17I'm like, oh, and I have to pause.
- 32:19Okay, well, if I'm not supposed to do that, help me know what I'm supposed to do.
- 32:22Because sometimes I'm an action taker, and I don't have the whole piece of the puzzle in front of me.
- 32:29And God's like, yep, you're going good.
- 32:30Oh, she's deviating.
- 32:33Okay.
- 32:33Nope, wrong way.
- 32:35You know?
- 32:35And so I'll feel like something is.
- 32:37Is off, that it's not quite right, and.
- 32:39And that's when I have to pause and say, okay, show me.
- 32:43Show me what I need to tweak Again, So God is good and he will inspire us to know.
- 32:49Hey, you're.
- 32:50You're going good.
- 32:50You're going good.
- 32:51Oh, oh, tweak just a little bit.
- 32:53Oh, okay.
- 32:54Keep going.
- 32:54Now, you know, and.
- 32:57And Joseph had that multiple times too, with the dreams, like, okay, you're doing good.
- 33:01Okay, now go here.
- 33:02Now go here.
- 33:03You know, and so take confidence that when he puts you on a path, if, If.
- 33:09If that path is veering the wrong way, he will instruct you to go the right way again.
- 33:16You know, he is so good as we lean on him to solve these difficult problems.
- 33:22So.
- 33:23And I love that you keep moving, because I feel like that's sometimes a fear of, like, you're so worried about going the wrong way, it paralyzes you and you freeze.
- 33:31So I love that you keep moving.
- 33:33And, like, you know what?
- 33:34I'll just go.
- 33:34And if it's wrong, he'll.
- 33:36He'll nudge me this way, you know, and that's such an important lesson to learn.
- 33:40So I love that you do that.
- 33:41Yeah.
- 33:42Ah.
- 33:43Well, guys, this has been wonderful.
- 33:46What a beautiful witness of Jesus Christ Joseph was.
- 33:51How neat that he was in the right place at the right time, that he was listening and humble enough to get the answers that he did and then bore his witness of Jesus Christ even in his name, you
- 34:06know, naming him what he was, who he was, his own savior and redeemer.
