- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie. It's time for us to go
- 0:03Speaker 1: to God in prayer and on my heart this morning.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Are the military families are? Certainly as I think about
- 0:13Speaker 1: the words being these casualties of war, these soldiers who
- 0:19Speaker 1: gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country were
- 0:23Speaker 1: so much more than just casualties of war. I want
- 0:27Speaker 1: to pray for those families. I want to pray about
- 0:30Speaker 1: this war. Heavenly Father, Today we bow our heads and
- 0:33Speaker 1: lift our hearts on behalf of our military personnel, sons
- 0:38Speaker 1: and daughters, mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, friends and
- 0:42Speaker 1: neighbors who are serving in the midst of war. Lord,
- 0:46Speaker 1: be their shield, and places filled with uncertainty, be their
- 0:51Speaker 1: stability and moments of danger. Be their protection. When fear whispers,
- 0:56Speaker 1: Let your peace speak louder. Cover them with your divine protection.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Guard their bodies from harm, God, their minds, God from
- 1:05Speaker 1: the trauma they experience and see. Guard their hearts from
- 1:09Speaker 1: despair when they must make split second decisions. Grant them
- 1:15Speaker 1: wisdom and clarity when exhaustion sets in. Renew their strength
- 1:19Speaker 1: when loliness creeps in. Remind them God they are not forgotten. Father.
- 1:25Speaker 1: We pray for those stationed far from home, in unfamiliar
- 1:30Speaker 1: lands and hostile environments, unable to return because of conflict.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Make a way for their safe passage. Open doors at
- 1:38Speaker 1: seeing clothes, bring them home safely at the appointed time.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Let reunions be filled with tears of joy and not sorry. Lord,
- 1:47Speaker 1: We lift up the families waiting at home. Be with
- 1:51Speaker 1: the spouses carrying extra burds. Be with the children who
- 1:55Speaker 1: miss badtime stories and familiar embraces. Be with pairrs who
- 2:00Speaker 1: pray every day and night for their child safe return.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Replace anxiety with peace, replace sleepless nights with trust. Surround
- 2:09Speaker 1: them with community, strength and hope. And Father, be Father, God,
- 2:14Speaker 1: all that we need you to be. We pause for
- 2:16Speaker 1: the fairies who have lost loved ones in this. They
- 2:22Speaker 1: are not just casualties. They are not just statistics. They
- 2:26Speaker 1: are not only war heroes. They are cherished sons, and
- 2:31Speaker 1: they are beloved daughters. They are best friends. They are
- 2:35Speaker 1: protectors and providers and precious souls created in your image.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Comfort every grieving mother, hold every weeping spouse, Strengthen every
- 2:46Speaker 1: child trying to understand moss. Wrap them in a peace
- 2:52Speaker 1: that defies explanation. Let them feel that they are loved, Father, God,
- 2:58Speaker 1: let them know that they're loved ones mattered deeply. Not
- 3:02Speaker 1: just to a nation, but God, to You Lord. We
- 3:05Speaker 1: pray for peace, Peace in our hearts, peace in our homes,
- 3:08Speaker 1: peace among nations. Still the violence. God, calm the aggression,
- 3:13Speaker 1: soften hardened hearts. Let leaders pursue wisdom over pride, unity
- 3:19Speaker 1: over division, diplomacy over destruction. We ask for an end
- 3:24Speaker 1: to the fighting. We act for restoration where there's been devastation.
- 3:28Speaker 1: We act for healing where there's been trauma. Father, watch
- 3:31Speaker 1: over every soldier today and tonight. Let angels stand guard
- 3:36Speaker 1: around them. Let hope rise even in the darkest places.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Bring our sons and daughters home. God, bring comfort to
- 3:43Speaker 1: the grieving, Bring courage to the fearful. Bring peace to
- 3:46Speaker 1: this world. And may your presence be felt on every battlefield,
- 3:50Speaker 1: in every waiting home, and every broken heart. In Jesus' name, Amen, Amen, Amen,
