- 0:00Speaker 1: Back to Marshamo on War.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, we'll get to Johnny Carson later this hour. Hey,
- 0:11Speaker 2: speaking of which, Stephen Colbert, believe it or not, you
- 0:14Speaker 2: can talk to believe it. You went from Johnny Carson
- 0:16Speaker 2: to Stephen Colbert, this angry, bitter little guy with this
- 0:20Speaker 2: twisted up. It's called the Late Show, should be called
- 0:23Speaker 2: the Hate Show. It's just this hate filled rant every night.
- 0:27Speaker 2: They fired him. He's gone. He's just working out the
- 0:31Speaker 2: contract which has got This is March April May, so
- 0:34Speaker 2: it's about two more months. But CBS is already erasing
- 0:39Speaker 2: Stephen Colbert from everything they can. If you go into
- 0:44Speaker 2: the Big Broadcast Center fifty seventh and eleventh, when you
- 0:47Speaker 2: walk in there, there's pictures of all the shows. As
- 0:50Speaker 2: you come down the hallway, the pictures of Colbert and
- 0:53Speaker 2: the Late Show have disappeared. They've been taken off the walls.
- 0:57Speaker 2: One insider saying it's like it's like existed at all.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Every CBS facility everywhere has taken down all the pictures
- 1:05Speaker 2: of Colbert, all the references to Colbert. The network now
- 1:09Speaker 2: confirms that when he goes off the air, there will
- 1:12Speaker 2: be no sendoff, no goodbye party, no anything. They've had
- 1:18Speaker 2: it with this guy. They want nothing to do with him.
- 1:20Speaker 2: He's ruined late night television, something completely destroyed it. He
- 1:24Speaker 2: was really first to go total hatred, and then Kimmel followed.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Fallon sort of followed. But Fallon's the one guy who
- 1:32Speaker 2: could go back to a regular entertainment show at night
- 1:34Speaker 2: if he wanted to. Kimmel is too far gone. He
- 1:37Speaker 2: just became this angry, bitter guy. Colbert was always a
- 1:41Speaker 2: just a hate filled, angry guy. So they can't wait
- 1:44Speaker 2: to get this thing off the air. The Late Show,
- 1:47Speaker 2: The Stephen Colbert Late Show. Now, remember it's in its
- 1:50Speaker 2: final month or two. You know, remember when Johnny Carson
- 1:53Speaker 2: announced he was retiring in May of ninety two. Why
- 1:57Speaker 2: the last few months, their ratings were through the roof.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Everybody wanted to watch his final shows, and all the
- 2:03Speaker 2: biggest stars in the world wanted to come on. It
- 2:05Speaker 2: was quite a ratings boost those final months. It's just
- 2:08Speaker 2: the opposite of the Colbert. He's going off pretty soon
- 2:11Speaker 2: and his final months are ratings disaster. In fact, the
- 2:14Speaker 2: last month was the worst ever, worst January ever. He
- 2:19Speaker 2: had two hundred and eighty five thousand viewers in the
- 2:22Speaker 2: demo two hundred and eighty five thousand in their demo.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Now normally, you know, in the Carson days, it was
- 2:28Speaker 2: eight million, nine million. Network says the final show can't
- 2:32Speaker 2: come soon enough. Now when they take him off the air,
- 2:35Speaker 2: they're not going to put on another talk show. It
- 2:37Speaker 2: could be a game show, or it could be reruns.
- 2:41Speaker 2: You know, when the Kimmel got pulled off the air
- 2:42Speaker 2: for a week, they just ran reruns of Password and
- 2:47Speaker 2: it got triple the ratings of Kimmel. So don't think
- 2:50Speaker 2: CBS didn't notice it. And to run the reruns of Password,
- 2:53Speaker 2: it's free, it doesn't cost anything. So expect Colbert to
- 2:58Speaker 2: be replaced with reruns a game show or CBS drama
- 3:04Speaker 2: or something like that, and it'll get double triple the
- 3:06Speaker 2: ratings at Colbert and cost nothing. What do they do
- 3:09Speaker 2: with that big theater, Well, they spent a lot of
- 3:12Speaker 2: money on that theater through the years, the Ed Sullivan Theater,
- 3:14Speaker 2: and it's a really good TV studio. So I would.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Imagine CBS keeps it, uses it to do game shows
- 3:21Speaker 1: and that sort of stuff out of there. Ah, so
- 3:23Speaker 1: you can make a lot of money renting out the
- 3:25Speaker 1: theater as a TV studio. In fact, before Letterman took
- 3:29Speaker 1: it over. In between The Ed Sullivan Show and Letterman
- 3:33Speaker 1: taking it over, that's what it was. You could rent
- 3:35Speaker 1: that theater and millions of shows were done out of
- 3:38Speaker 1: there if you needed to rent a studio. Hey, you
- 3:40Speaker 1: know the show Access Hollywood gone canceled. Even the top
- 3:46Speaker 1: producers were totally unaware it was going to get canceled.
- 3:48Speaker 1: NBC Universal made the decision Friday. Access Hollywood got a
- 3:52Speaker 1: call after nearly thirty years, canceled. That's it, no more
- 3:58Speaker 1: Access Hollywood. Why. Ratings were good, in fact, they were
- 4:01Speaker 1: higher than Extra but TV viewership, Network TV viewership is
- 4:07Speaker 1: way way way down. A lot less people watch network
- 4:11Speaker 1: TV or local stations TV. That's who runs all these
- 4:15Speaker 1: Access Hollywood. All these local stations run Access Hollywood and
- 4:19Speaker 1: just doesn't pay to do them anymore. Viewership is way
- 4:23Speaker 1: way way down. So Access Hollywood is canceled. Hey, we're
- 4:27Speaker 1: talking about potholes before they're still there. This was the
- 4:31Speaker 1: worst season ever for potholes because of the Remember the
- 4:34Speaker 1: temperature would go from minus fifteen to seventy five the
- 4:37Speaker 1: next day. It's that quick temperature shifts that caused the potholes.
- 4:40Speaker 1: And also the salt and stuff they throw all over
- 4:43Speaker 1: the road. So it's worse than ever. And apparently they
- 4:46Speaker 1: don't have enough people to fix it. The mayor and
- 4:49Speaker 1: others said there'd be two weeks, will fix all the potholes.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It's not getting done. The union that's in charge of
- 4:55Speaker 1: all that says they don't have enough people. They could
- 4:57Speaker 1: use at least two hundred more highway workers to get
- 5:00Speaker 1: the job done. Says it's the biggest crop of potholes
- 5:04Speaker 1: they've seen after this brutal winter. But the Momdannie promised
- 5:08Speaker 1: for two weeks, they say, he is not going to happen.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Just not possible. Hey, so the Epstein files, there are
- 5:17Speaker 1: a lot of people, you know sometimes you see these
- 5:20Speaker 1: business people are Bill Gates or Bill Clinton. You're not shocked. Yeah,
- 5:23Speaker 1: that's how your picture hanging out with Epstein. But deep
- 5:27Speaker 1: pak Chopra his followers stunned, stunned that he's in there.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Now.
- 5:34Speaker 1: There's some guys that end up in this Epstein file,
- 5:36Speaker 1: like Dick Cavett. You wouldn't expect him to be in there.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Woody Allen, but it's pretty innocent with these two. Woody Allen,
- 5:42Speaker 1: it was remember after the scandal, Woody Allen could not
- 5:46Speaker 1: get any financing to make movies. All the big studios
- 5:50Speaker 1: stopped financing his movies, so he couldn't get movies made
- 5:54Speaker 1: with the big studios or any of the Hollywood stuff.
- 5:56Speaker 1: So he had to go out and raise his own money.
- 5:59Speaker 1: And the way you're money is you find wealthy guys, starstruck,
- 6:03Speaker 1: wealthy guys who want to pretend to be a movie
- 6:05Speaker 1: producer or hang around show business, and they'll finance your movies.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And there's a lot of them, a lot of them,
- 6:13Speaker 1: not just Whatody ell. A lot of Scorsese's done that
- 6:15Speaker 1: with a few films. You just go find some rich
- 6:17Speaker 1: guys to give you the money. You don't have to
- 6:19Speaker 1: deal with the Hollywood studio. And these rich guys are
- 6:22Speaker 1: just as starstruck as anybody. So that's what Woody Allen
- 6:25Speaker 1: was doing, getting Epstein to finance movies. In exchange, Woody
- 6:31Speaker 1: Allen had to come to his house for a lot
- 6:33Speaker 1: of dinners, a lot of luncheons, and Epstein would invite
- 6:36Speaker 1: all of his friends and you could sit there and
- 6:38Speaker 1: have lunch with Woody Allen, dinner with Woody Allen. It's
- 6:40Speaker 1: annoying but he was willing to do it to get
- 6:43Speaker 1: the financing. Woody Allen's close friend Dick Cabott got dragged
- 6:47Speaker 1: into this. Why was Cavot doing it? Well, if you
- 6:49Speaker 1: read the files, it looks like Cabot wanted a rich
- 6:53Speaker 1: guy to finance a PBS special he was trying to
- 6:55Speaker 1: put together. Epstein did do that. So that's what up. Now,
- 6:59Speaker 1: that's it. Innocent d Pac Chopra, the guru who everybody idolized.
- 7:06Speaker 1: This guru, this is different. You can read all the emails,
- 7:11Speaker 1: you can go to the Epstein files. His behavior was
- 7:14Speaker 1: pretty slimy there. He was all over Epstein. Here's one
- 7:19Speaker 1: devoted follower of his on Facebook says, I just looked
- 7:24Speaker 1: at the Chopra emails with Epstein and I am about
- 7:28Speaker 1: to drown in my own vomit. Wants to go away
- 7:33Speaker 1: with Epstein on trips and in the invitation he says
- 7:36Speaker 1: bring your girls. On at least two occasions, Chopra invited
- 7:41Speaker 1: Epstein to join him on trips to Israel in Switzerland,
- 7:44Speaker 1: specifically telling him to bring your girls. In the Israel invitation,
- 7:50Speaker 1: Chopra also suggested Epstein use a fake name if he
- 7:54Speaker 1: wished Chopra. Another one wrote God is a construct. Cute
- 8:00Speaker 1: girls are real. Yeah, a lot of stuff with women
- 8:04Speaker 1: and Deepak Chopra. And then apparently Chopra was quite the
- 8:10Speaker 1: ladies man. In one email, Epstein's texting him, I liked
- 8:15Speaker 1: watching you zero in on your prey made me smile.
- 8:21Speaker 1: The word predator is used. And then there's another one
- 8:25Speaker 1: from Chopra requests for cute girls. He asked if he
- 8:29Speaker 1: had found him acute Israeli while he's over there. Epstein
- 8:33Speaker 1: offered to send two girls to a meditation events Chopra
- 8:37Speaker 1: was hosting, which Chopra accepted, requesting their names for the
- 8:43Speaker 1: guest list. Now what does Chopra say about all this? Well,
- 8:47Speaker 1: he issued a statement on X denying any criminal or
- 8:50Speaker 1: exploiti of contact. He acknowledged that some past email exchanges
- 8:55Speaker 1: reflected poor judgment in tone, expressed regret for how they
- 9:01Speaker 1: might be interpreted. The reports specified that it's unclear how
- 9:07Speaker 1: old the girls were in the message as well how
- 9:09Speaker 1: it might be interpreted. I don't know if when you're
- 9:13Speaker 1: writing Epstein and you say bring your girls, how's it
- 9:16Speaker 1: going to get interpreted? Hey, there was a noted publicist,
- 9:21Speaker 1: Peggy Siegel. I think she's kind of retired now. Peggy's
- 9:24Speaker 1: Siegel for throughout the eighties and nineties was the big
- 9:27Speaker 1: publicist for the movie studios through the big, big, big,
- 9:31Speaker 1: big movie premiere parties here in New York. Was the
- 9:35Speaker 1: nastiest person ever, nasty personality. Everybody behind her back, always bad,
- 9:41Speaker 1: matter like crazy. But she was quite the publicist. If
- 9:45Speaker 1: it was a big event with big, big names, major
- 9:48Speaker 1: business names, society names, that's who you hired to put
- 9:50Speaker 1: together the party. Well, nobody was more involved with Epstein
- 9:54Speaker 1: than Peggy Siegel. Nobody. It was site of a five
- 9:59Speaker 1: thousand email els turned up just in one year, Oh no,
- 10:03Speaker 1: ten years, five thousand emails in ten years. And why
- 10:07Speaker 1: would she do this for Epstein? Well money, he had
- 10:11Speaker 1: what's known as check's appeal. He would write massive checks.
- 10:15Speaker 1: For instance, on her birthday party, he sent her one
- 10:17Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars as a gift, that kind of stuff.
- 10:21Speaker 1: And every time he wanted her to put together a party,
- 10:23Speaker 1: put together a dinner party for my birthday, invite all
- 10:28Speaker 1: the biggest names in New York. He sent thirty thousand
- 10:33Speaker 1: dollars for the party. They wanted Elton John so fifteen
- 10:38Speaker 1: thousand was donated to Elton John's charity. A lot of
- 10:41Speaker 1: money was spent. Now she lost I think a lot
- 10:44Speaker 1: of the movie studios once it all came out about Epstein.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And she's really the one that got him a lot
- 10:50Speaker 1: of big names in New York. But she's getting a
- 10:53Speaker 1: lot of flak for this now. She's the one that
- 10:57Speaker 1: when he got Prince Andrew at his house. She's the
- 11:01Speaker 1: one that threw the dinner party for Prince Andrew, and
- 11:03Speaker 1: she got George Stefanopolis to come, and Katie Kuric to
- 11:07Speaker 1: come and Stephanoppolis later got a lot of flak for
- 11:11Speaker 1: having dinner at Epstein's house, and he put out some
- 11:15Speaker 1: stupid statement about, well, maybe I should have done my
- 11:18Speaker 1: due diligence. Well, he's supposed to be some sort of
- 11:21Speaker 1: a news guy, and it was in every news outlet
- 11:25Speaker 1: in the world that he was convicted of being a
- 11:27Speaker 1: pedophile in prison, So it wasn't that hard to do
- 11:30Speaker 1: the due diligence. But anyway, we'll do that. Throughout the week,
- 11:34Speaker 1: we'll bring you more of these shocking names that are
- 11:36Speaker 1: in the Epstein files. Hey, Cuba, Cuba, the Communist government
- 11:43Speaker 1: of Cuba could fall at any moment. There were riots
- 11:45Speaker 1: in the street this weekend. Rioters attacking a Communist party building,
- 11:51Speaker 1: entering it, throwing everything out the windows. This is building.
- 11:55Speaker 1: It's possible that Iran is liberated. It's possible bull Iran
- 12:00Speaker 1: gets a new government, is no longer a brutal terrorist dictatorship.
- 12:05Speaker 1: And it's possible in the months ahead Cuba gets rid
- 12:08Speaker 1: of communism, goes capitalist. Trump would absolutely, without question, deserve
- 12:14Speaker 1: a Nobel Prize for all of this because he's been
- 12:16Speaker 1: working on this behind the scenes. And you know, Cuba
- 12:20Speaker 1: is a beautiful Caribbean island. It's in total poverty and
- 12:23Speaker 1: decay for decades under communism. If you liberated it, it
- 12:27Speaker 1: would look like Miami. In fact, before the Communists took over,
- 12:31Speaker 1: it looked like Miami. It had all the same hotels.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Same guy that built the Fountain Blue had a hotel
- 12:38Speaker 1: in Cuba. The same guy that built the Eden Rock
- 12:40Speaker 1: had a hotel in Cuba that was magnificent. Hotels, the
- 12:43Speaker 1: most beautiful beaches, gambling casinos, nightclubs. It could go back
- 12:48Speaker 1: to that. It could make a fortune. So look for
- 12:51Speaker 1: that to happen. You know, if they need somebody to
- 12:55Speaker 1: take over and run Iran. Who would do it well?
- 12:58Speaker 1: The Sun of the Shaw. He's been in this country
- 13:01Speaker 1: for forty seven years, Reza pan La Pavlav, and he's
- 13:07Speaker 1: been pushing for decades to be the guy to go
- 13:09Speaker 1: back and take over. And he's been leading, you know,
- 13:12Speaker 1: all kinds of events and discussions and about going back
- 13:16Speaker 1: and taking over. I don't know if the White House
- 13:19Speaker 1: has any real confidence in him. Nothing wrong with him,
- 13:21Speaker 1: He's just he hasn't been there in forty seven years,
- 13:25Speaker 1: and it's hard to imagine you could go back forty
- 13:28Speaker 1: seven years later and know what the hell's going on
- 13:31Speaker 1: or know anybody there. But he could play some sort
- 13:34Speaker 1: of role in this, he probably would not be the
- 13:36Speaker 1: new leader. And there's a tremendous amount of Persians here
- 13:39Speaker 1: in the United States and the Persian community. You see
- 13:42Speaker 1: them all over in New Jersey, Long Island, Sands Point,
- 13:45Speaker 1: Great Neck, very very very successful business people, very very
- 13:51Speaker 1: smart people. So it's a huge diaspora of the Persian community.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Huge and they've been talking, meeting, gathering over the last
- 14:00Speaker 1: few weeks figuring out what they can do. And these
- 14:02Speaker 1: are smart, wealthy guys. They can do plenty to help
- 14:05Speaker 1: support a new government in Iran, so it could happen soon.
- 14:09Speaker 1: You know, we've been trying to take out the Islamic
- 14:12Speaker 1: Revolutionary Guard, the Revolutionary Guard, the Republican Guard, and they're
- 14:19Speaker 1: the vicious ones. They're the really ugly, vicious, brutal terrorist
- 14:22Speaker 1: ones that have been shooting protesters and all that. But
- 14:26Speaker 1: there's the regular army. We're trying very hard not to
- 14:28Speaker 1: hit them. The Islamic Republican Iran Army. We've been leaving
- 14:34Speaker 1: them alone because they'll be needed if Iran gets free,
- 14:38Speaker 1: they'll be there. They'll be the new army. We'll get
- 14:41Speaker 1: rid of the Republican Guard, the regular army will take over.
- 14:44Speaker 1: This could get pretty interesting in the next few months.
- 14:47Speaker 1: We'll get to Johnny Carson coming up in a few minutes,
- 14:49Speaker 1: interesting stuff that you never knew about them. We'll take
- 14:52Speaker 1: some calls next. Eight hundred three to two to one
- 14:55Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number, eight hundred three to
- 14:58Speaker 1: two to one zero seven ten.
