- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her Radio. This is the almost famous podcast with
- 0:08Speaker 1: Ben and Ashley. I Ashley, how was your long weekend?
- 0:14Speaker 1: It was so good? How is yours? It was awesome?
- 0:18Speaker 1: Actually have a story for you. Wanna hear it? Yeah?
- 0:21Speaker 1: So I I tried to once a year get out
- 0:25Speaker 1: in the woods. Uh here in Colorado, like just far out,
- 0:30Speaker 1: backpack in a couple of miles, set up camp, hang out.
- 0:35Speaker 1: So that's why I did this weekend. Jessica actually on Friday.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Usually I'd leave on a Friday, but she went to
- 0:43Speaker 1: Shania Twain with Kalin in Vegas. This weekend. Jessica stepped out,
- 0:50Speaker 1: flew to Vegas for one day and then back the
- 0:55Speaker 1: next day just for this concert, which is very unlike
- 0:57Speaker 1: my wife. But they had a blast, um a really
- 1:00Speaker 1: good time, and then I left on Saturday. Have I
- 1:04Speaker 1: ever told you my bear story? Uh? Yeah, yeah, You've
- 1:08Speaker 1: been talked about how there's a lot of bears around. Yeah. Okay,
- 1:11Speaker 1: Well a few years ago when I first did this trip,
- 1:14Speaker 1: I forgot I had put bacon flavored sunflower seeds inside
- 1:20Speaker 1: my backpack and a bear destroyed my tent. I mean
- 1:28Speaker 1: literally rolled it up like a Chipotle burrito and aft
- 1:32Speaker 1: going after these sunflower seeds. And so I camped at
- 1:36Speaker 1: the same spot this weekend that I was at that time.
- 1:39Speaker 1: No bear, luckily, but I was very careful with my food.
- 1:42Speaker 1: No food in the bag, not even my toothpaste. This year,
- 1:45Speaker 1: gotten smarter, uh, But got to see some incredible wildlife,
- 1:50Speaker 1: a lot of birds, um, just a lot of stars.
- 1:54Speaker 1: It was really special for you, my first concert, really yeah.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And my greatest memory from it is just that I
- 2:06Speaker 1: had to pee the entire time, like so so bad.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I was in fifth grade, and um, I was with
- 2:13Speaker 1: my friend's dad and my friend and then another friend
- 2:16Speaker 1: of hers, and I was just so conflicted on whether
- 2:21Speaker 1: to ask to go to the bathroom because you know,
- 2:24Speaker 1: obviously fifth grader can't go by themselves to the bathroom
- 2:27Speaker 1: at a concert, and I was supposed to ask her dad.
- 2:31Speaker 1: So I just held it the entire night. And obviously
- 2:34Speaker 1: don't remember anything about the concert except for my full bladder.
- 2:37Speaker 1: That's the worst happens to me on fights, like the
- 2:41Speaker 1: window seat, and sometimes I said down like I do
- 2:44Speaker 1: for everybody here to get up, and so then you
- 2:46Speaker 1: feel their sleeping. That's always tricky. Yeah, you feel like
- 2:50Speaker 1: a basketball is sitting in your gut, like you gotta
- 2:53Speaker 1: do it on a plane, you have to go and
- 2:56Speaker 1: at a concert you have to go to all fifth
- 2:58Speaker 1: grade girls listening makes you just go ask the dad. Yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 1: that's why he's there. Um, it'll be nice about it.
- 3:05Speaker 1: H Well, Ashley, it's a big week, obviously. I can't
- 3:08Speaker 1: believe it. We're coming to the end of the season
- 3:10Speaker 1: of The Bachelorette. Gabby and Rachel are kind of in
- 3:13Speaker 1: the home stretch of their experiences as bachelorette. Uh and Uh,
- 3:19Speaker 1: it's a big week because it's overnight dates, which always
- 3:23Speaker 1: bring drama. The drama they always do for obvious reasons,
- 3:29Speaker 1: right You And I like this these weeks, Ashley, because
- 3:34Speaker 1: I feel like the personality of the lead really shows
- 3:38Speaker 1: how they're going to navigate this physical intimacy, how they're
- 3:43Speaker 1: going to navigate the feelings of all of their contestants
- 3:48Speaker 1: that they care now at this point a lot about.
- 3:51Speaker 1: And I was very excited for this week because after
- 3:55Speaker 1: I mean, i mean, Clayton's season had some rough patches,
- 3:59Speaker 1: but it was really you overnights that kind of launched
- 4:02Speaker 1: it into a a messy situation and uh, and so
- 4:07Speaker 1: I was very intrigued to see how Rachel and Gabby
- 4:11Speaker 1: we're gonna handle overnights. Both of them did it in
- 4:14Speaker 1: different ways. What were your thoughts? I was like, overall,
- 4:18Speaker 1: in and out of the episode, there were some times
- 4:21Speaker 1: where I was like, Okay, let's see what goes down here,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and then there were times I was just like, oh
- 4:26Speaker 1: my god, this is just blabber like, cut this down.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I think overall, I wasn't really shocked by anything, though,
- 4:36Speaker 1: what about you? I can't say I'm shocked. I feel
- 4:40Speaker 1: like we've gotten, now last couple of weeks, a fairly
- 4:44Speaker 1: good taste of each contestant. I I don't think anything
- 4:51Speaker 1: surprised me. I am still a little on edge about
- 4:57Speaker 1: how like Tino was handling this. That was still a
- 5:00Speaker 1: little surprising to me. I guess I would say, what
- 5:03Speaker 1: about just I don't think he's comfortable here. I mean,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I don't think this experience is one where he feels uh.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I don't know what I want to say, like that
- 5:16Speaker 1: not prep you don't want to practice for the Bachelor
- 5:19Speaker 1: at but you just don't you. Also, I feel like
- 5:23Speaker 1: he just has continued to be um not understanding what
- 5:28Speaker 1: environment he's in. Does that make sense? Sure? But I
- 5:32Speaker 1: don't know that I felt that, to be honest with
- 5:35Speaker 1: my perspective, I felt, like, you know how, I go
- 5:38Speaker 1: back and forth between whether or not he's an f
- 5:40Speaker 1: boy or whether he's actually in love with her. I
- 5:45Speaker 1: was actually on the side of he's actually in love
- 5:47Speaker 1: with her this episode, and I didn't sense any like
- 5:50Speaker 1: f boy nous and I think that like everything was
- 5:53Speaker 1: like pretty much a genuine feeling. I think that he
- 5:56Speaker 1: also doesn't really one went down at his home down. Yeah.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I wonder why he was in the room for most
- 6:03Speaker 1: of that, right, Yeah, except for the one on one
- 6:05Speaker 1: chats when your dad when she was like, yeah, your
- 6:08Speaker 1: dad said that like he would deal with it, but
- 6:11Speaker 1: like not accept it, yeah, or like accept it but
- 6:14Speaker 1: not like it. I don't know what he might not
- 6:17Speaker 1: know what went He was shocked by that, yeah, and
- 6:20Speaker 1: he was like he was like, oh really, Oh we'll
- 6:22Speaker 1: have to deal with that. Yeah. I mean I never
- 6:25Speaker 1: had hometowns as a contestant, but as I lead, your
- 6:30Speaker 1: hometowns are very They're difficult because they're very awkward, especially
- 6:36Speaker 1: when you get put on the spot of is my
- 6:39Speaker 1: with my you know. My situation is my daughter the
- 6:41Speaker 1: one and you're like, hey, you have every right to
- 6:44Speaker 1: ask me that, like you're the dad or the mom
- 6:47Speaker 1: of this child that is going through this crazy experience. However,
- 6:51Speaker 1: I don't have the ability to answer that question. So
- 6:54Speaker 1: now we're just gonna sit in awkwardness because I have
- 6:57Speaker 1: to dance around it to try to keep you happy.
- 7:00Speaker 1: You at the same time knowing how serious this is.
- 7:04Speaker 1: And so I have a hard time. I think Tino's
- 7:08Speaker 1: family was very critical and very hard. I don't think
- 7:11Speaker 1: it was fair to Rachel. I just have a hard
- 7:14Speaker 1: time being too critical of the families because this is
- 7:18Speaker 1: so weird. I mean, the whole thing is weird. I
- 7:20Speaker 1: just wished Tino might know. I wish you would listen
- 7:24Speaker 1: to Rachel. I guess would be what I'm saying here
- 7:27Speaker 1: and hear what she's trying to tell him, And I
- 7:30Speaker 1: don't know if he's fully grasping. I think he's shocked
- 7:33Speaker 1: and doesn't understand, but I don't know if he's actually
- 7:36Speaker 1: listening to the words she's saying. Okay, yeah, okay, well
- 7:42Speaker 1: here here we go. Should we go through the entire episode? Now?
- 7:45Speaker 1: I think so. I mean, I don't know if we
- 7:47Speaker 1: need to go through in details. I think let's just
- 7:50Speaker 1: go by like guy by guy. Let's just like bullet
- 7:52Speaker 1: point guy by guy. Let's take a quick break before
- 7:55Speaker 1: we do that. Gabby and Rachel in Mexico this week
- 8:10Speaker 1: the famous Vedanta. I don't know how long of a
- 8:12Speaker 1: contract this show. It's a different da it's a different one.
- 8:15Speaker 1: It's I think it's a newer one in Rivera Maya. Yes,
- 8:18Speaker 1: when we were in Paradise, they were talking about how
- 8:20Speaker 1: they were like on Vedanta overload because the producers had
- 8:23Speaker 1: spent like two months there collectively between the two seasons.
- 8:28Speaker 1: That makes more. I didn't catch onto that. I didn't
- 8:30Speaker 1: realize it was like, okay, so this is a newer Vedanta.
- 8:33Speaker 1: It's not the one in Portavarta that the show kind
- 8:36Speaker 1: of houses at four Paradise. It's kind of the headquarters.
- 8:41Speaker 1: The Vedanta is a beautiful property. I have nothing but
- 8:44Speaker 1: good things to say about it. I've had a great
- 8:46Speaker 1: time there in my short and few stays. But they
- 8:49Speaker 1: are at the Vedanta and the Revere Maya. This is
- 8:54Speaker 1: obviously the scene is set because this is a big week,
- 8:57Speaker 1: because both Rachel and Gabby under and and remember how
- 9:01Speaker 1: it went down during their times as contestants, and they're
- 9:04Speaker 1: taking it very serious, not only for the physical intimacy
- 9:07Speaker 1: and what their their physical compatibility is with each of
- 9:11Speaker 1: their contestants, but they also understand the feelings of each
- 9:14Speaker 1: of their contestants because of their time on Clayton's season,
- 9:17Speaker 1: which starts us with Gabby's first overnight date with Eric Ashley.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Walk us through it. Okay, so the first date is
- 9:27Speaker 1: full of bachelor puns with jumping and falling into love
- 9:33Speaker 1: and it's so corny, but basically they're just jumping off
- 9:37Speaker 1: of these platforms into the water. Uh. The bottom line
- 9:43Speaker 1: is with this this date, I kiss her front runner.
- 9:47Speaker 1: She ends up saying to him she's falling in love
- 9:50Speaker 1: with him, and he like, he says he's past the
- 9:54Speaker 1: point of falling. He's actually in love with her, doesn't
- 9:57Speaker 1: want to leave without her. She's as that, you know,
- 10:01Speaker 1: she sees a feature with him and he makes her
- 10:03Speaker 1: feel safe no matter what. And I have to say, like,
- 10:08Speaker 1: and I know I feel like I'm saying this is
- 10:10Speaker 1: a broken record over and over again the past few seasons,
- 10:13Speaker 1: but like, I'm really not understanding where the love is
- 10:17Speaker 1: coming from. In these moments of declaration. I feel it
- 10:22Speaker 1: at times like I felt it with Um, was it Tina?
- 10:29Speaker 1: I guess I did feel it with Tino in Rachel
- 10:33Speaker 1: in this episode, but I don't feel like the romantic
- 10:38Speaker 1: moments is what I'm trying to say, the romantic moments,
- 10:40Speaker 1: but I'm not understanding where the bonds are coming from
- 10:44Speaker 1: the connections because I haven't seen enough connecting moments. All
- 10:48Speaker 1: I remember seeing with these couples is them being like, hey,
- 10:55Speaker 1: like I have feelings for you, I have feelings for you.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Oh hey, I'm falling in love with thee in love
- 11:00Speaker 1: with you. But I'm like, where are you bonding to
- 11:02Speaker 1: get this falling in love to happen? Well, I think
- 11:07Speaker 1: in past seasons we've had these moments, these one on
- 11:10Speaker 1: one dates where I think we've explained it in the
- 11:14Speaker 1: past where it feels like when you're watching the show,
- 11:16Speaker 1: their world stop, you know what I'm saying, Like there's
- 11:19Speaker 1: no other It's it's like you you're watching them and
- 11:23Speaker 1: you see that the cameras and the conversation. Honestly, I
- 11:27Speaker 1: feel like it happens most seasons when the conversation stops
- 11:31Speaker 1: and you just see them fall in love and at peace,
- 11:36Speaker 1: and they're just good now being in the silence with
- 11:38Speaker 1: each other. I think with this season, all we've seen
- 11:41Speaker 1: is conversation. We haven't seen those quiet, still moments that
- 11:45Speaker 1: make us go these people just really like to be
- 11:47Speaker 1: around each other. They just really like to to be
- 11:50Speaker 1: close to each other because we've I don't know if
- 11:54Speaker 1: it's due to so much content that the quiet moments
- 11:58Speaker 1: can't be seen. But even like you said, sometimes during
- 12:01Speaker 1: this episode, I was like, hey, stop talking and just
- 12:03Speaker 1: be with each other for a second. Like I don't
- 12:05Speaker 1: need to hear you talk about this random stuff all
- 12:07Speaker 1: the time. I just want to see you tube sit
- 12:10Speaker 1: and watch the stars, or sit and look at the ocean,
- 12:12Speaker 1: or just sit together. Like the comfort doesn't seem to
- 12:17Speaker 1: be shown. It might be there, I'm just not seeing
- 12:20Speaker 1: it when I watched these episodes. Okay, so you just
- 12:23Speaker 1: brought up a great point, and it's weird that ironic
- 12:27Speaker 1: the couples that flashed in front of my eyes. When
- 12:29Speaker 1: I thought of those moments, I thought Emily and Jeff
- 12:32Speaker 1: playing with puppets in Europe. I thought of Nick and
- 12:36Speaker 1: Vanessa in that flying machine saying the zero gravity room.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Those are moments yeah, and you're like, that's it, that's
- 12:45Speaker 1: the person and you know it right off the bat.
- 12:47Speaker 1: But I haven't had any of those moments this season
- 12:49Speaker 1: where I'm like, that's the person. Yeah, that's the moment. Well,
- 12:53Speaker 1: what do you think about as we're on Eric? Then?
- 12:56Speaker 1: What do you think about his concerns and how he
- 13:00Speaker 1: brings them up about you know, his feelings for Gabby
- 13:03Speaker 1: but knowing there's still other people involved. Okay, before I
- 13:08Speaker 1: go into that, I just want to mention that last
- 13:11Speaker 1: week was probably a bonding moment for them with the dad,
- 13:15Speaker 1: but definitely in a different sense. That was like a
- 13:18Speaker 1: humanity bonding moment, not necessarily romantic bonding moment. I feel
- 13:21Speaker 1: like anybody would feel really close after experiencing that together well,
- 13:25Speaker 1: and it was very vulnerable for all sides involved. I
- 13:29Speaker 1: will say for to speak on that for a second,
- 13:32Speaker 1: what I do wish because I feel like we didn't
- 13:34Speaker 1: see enough of the follow up from that, Like how
- 13:36Speaker 1: did Gabby console Eric? Like that had to be hard
- 13:40Speaker 1: for him, it had to be really hard to then
- 13:41Speaker 1: leave his dad again, and I'm sure she did. I'm
- 13:45Speaker 1: not saying she did it. I'm not saying this is
- 13:47Speaker 1: not a part of her. I just don't know if
- 13:49Speaker 1: I saw enough of it. Be Like, man, that's that
- 13:52Speaker 1: is a relationship, right, That is there is not only
- 13:56Speaker 1: this experience going on, but then they're also connecting far
- 14:00Speaker 1: outside of this experience and talking about stuff that's very
- 14:02Speaker 1: real and very hard and very difficult. I don't I
- 14:06Speaker 1: didn't see enough of that. I wanted to see more
- 14:09Speaker 1: of that, Like how are they sitting in silence? Like
- 14:11Speaker 1: has did he? Did he get emotional? How did she
- 14:14Speaker 1: handle it when he got emotional? I mean we saw
- 14:16Speaker 1: a little bit, but maybe I'm just selfish, but I
- 14:20Speaker 1: just wanted more. You wanted more tears. I wanted more realness,
- 14:26Speaker 1: like I wanted. I love when the show feels like
- 14:28Speaker 1: this crosses over from a television show to reality and
- 14:32Speaker 1: you know that's what's happening on the show we're watching
- 14:35Speaker 1: is deeply affecting their lives in the real world. And
- 14:38Speaker 1: I know that was one of those moments. It had
- 14:40Speaker 1: to be for Eric. Yeah, you know he did have
- 14:43Speaker 1: that moment in this episode where he said, like I'm
- 14:45Speaker 1: getting emotional reminiscing on it. Okay, but so give him
- 14:49Speaker 1: a little credit there. I guess I'm not saying he's
- 14:51Speaker 1: not doing it. No, I'm not saying that. I'm saying
- 14:53Speaker 1: we're not we're not seeing it, like, not that it's
- 14:56Speaker 1: not happening, We're just not able to watch it as
- 14:58Speaker 1: a viewer for whatever. Yeah, I think it has to
- 15:01Speaker 1: be happening. I know what's happening. I know. Okay, that's
- 15:04Speaker 1: the point is that it's totally happening. We're not seeing
- 15:07Speaker 1: it because these people are actually in love and we
- 15:12Speaker 1: can feel the love a little bit and the moment
- 15:15Speaker 1: in which they're saying it to each other, but we
- 15:17Speaker 1: really want to know that the journey in and see
- 15:19Speaker 1: those yeah, those moments of silence. Anyway, moving on to
- 15:23Speaker 1: my overall thoughts on eric situation is I leave this
- 15:27Speaker 1: just being like, Okay, Eric is probably her peck. It's
- 15:31Speaker 1: just my gut says that's her pick. But you know
- 15:33Speaker 1: what I am surprised by. We were talking about being lacked,
- 15:36Speaker 1: having a lack of surprises, but I actually am surprised
- 15:40Speaker 1: by the amount that the girls are throwing around the
- 15:42Speaker 1: falling in love, I'm in love, lu blah. Because I
- 15:45Speaker 1: thought we were going to go back to an old
- 15:47Speaker 1: tradition of a free ben Higgins where we don't say
- 15:51Speaker 1: anything like that until the final rows ceremony. But do
- 15:56Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Like we used to never
- 15:58Speaker 1: ever say it until like the final rose was given out,
- 16:01Speaker 1: And with these girls, it was so hurtful that they
- 16:05Speaker 1: had to hear it from Clayton when he was saying
- 16:08Speaker 1: it to multiple people that I thought they were totally
- 16:10Speaker 1: going to reserve it to for the end, and I
- 16:12Speaker 1: think that Gabby is reserving it a little bit for
- 16:15Speaker 1: the end. She does say, well, okay, Gabby says she
- 16:20Speaker 1: is more than falling in love with Eric, but I
- 16:23Speaker 1: don't think she said she doesn't say it directly to him.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Can I can I just take a second here and say,
- 16:32Speaker 1: am I now validated a little bit? Like? Can I
- 16:35Speaker 1: at least? Can can we at least say that what
- 16:37Speaker 1: I did, which what I never would claim was the
- 16:40Speaker 1: smartest or wisest decision, at least has some validation to it. Oh? Ben,
- 16:46Speaker 1: I mean I am totally I understand why and how
- 16:49Speaker 1: you did it. I don't get any public to be like, hey,
- 16:55Speaker 1: it's been six years, but we're really sorry, Ben, like
- 16:58Speaker 1: really we really you know, we messed up. We got
- 17:02Speaker 1: so mad at you, no no, Ben, that was like
- 17:06Speaker 1: the most minor thing. It was the most minor of
- 17:09Speaker 1: all offenses. It just started a trend, that's all. Yeah,
- 17:13Speaker 1: just open up the flug it. Okay. Well, um, I
- 17:16Speaker 1: I am surprised as you are. I thought I just
- 17:21Speaker 1: thought these they would be very hesitant. But it's also
- 17:24Speaker 1: at some level, even if we're not seeing it, even
- 17:27Speaker 1: if we're not feeling how they're falling in love with
- 17:29Speaker 1: each other, we got to assume that they are. And
- 17:32Speaker 1: so these moments are very um special. If you're a
- 17:37Speaker 1: fan of the show, right, you wait for these connections
- 17:40Speaker 1: to be formed, and so you know, from my perspective,
- 17:43Speaker 1: we say something's happening that we're you know that that
- 17:47Speaker 1: that is unique and it is working now. If it
- 17:51Speaker 1: will work in the next couple episodes, I don't know,
- 17:55Speaker 1: but I do think at this point Eric is who
- 17:58Speaker 1: Gabby would like to be with it. I don't know
- 18:02Speaker 1: if he is going to end up with Gabby, but
- 18:05Speaker 1: he is my front runner after this. Okay, So then
- 18:08Speaker 1: you asked me about the moment on the bridge, which
- 18:11Speaker 1: does happen later in the episode, but we'll stay with Eric.
- 18:14Speaker 1: He comes, He writes a letter, a note that says,
- 18:17Speaker 1: meet me at the bridge. I need to see you,
- 18:19Speaker 1: and I was like, oh my god, it's Jason and
- 18:21Speaker 1: he's about to break up with her. What did you
- 18:23Speaker 1: think it was? I probably had the same feeling. Yeah,
- 18:26Speaker 1: I think I had the same thought of this has
- 18:31Speaker 1: just been so uncomfortable for Jason, and this is just
- 18:34Speaker 1: getting more uncomfortable that he is going to remove himself.
- 18:38Speaker 1: That's what I think they teat it up. You know,
- 18:40Speaker 1: he was talking with Jesse. He said I am not
- 18:43Speaker 1: in love with her yet, I'm getting there, and I
- 18:46Speaker 1: was like, oh god, this is Jesse probably said off camera,
- 18:50Speaker 1: you know, or didn't make the cut, something along the
- 18:51Speaker 1: lines of, well, if you're not there yet, you should
- 18:53Speaker 1: probably talk to her. And I thought that note was
- 18:56Speaker 1: him meeting here at the bridge, and then she was
- 18:58Speaker 1: going to be left with one guy, the one guy
- 19:01Speaker 1: that I think that she wants to end up with.
- 19:03Speaker 1: But regardless, it's again that feeling of rejection. You don't
- 19:07Speaker 1: want to be the bachelorette and then kind of be
- 19:10Speaker 1: like dumped and left with one, even if it was
- 19:12Speaker 1: your one. Anyway, going back to their conversation on the bridge,
- 19:18Speaker 1: these fantasy sweet conversations are so loaded and I have
- 19:21Speaker 1: different feelings every single time. They had a conversation behind
- 19:27Speaker 1: the closed doors of the fantasy suite that we don't
- 19:29Speaker 1: know a lot of contacts too, but we know that
- 19:31Speaker 1: they basically from what it seems. She was like, I'm
- 19:34Speaker 1: going to go forward with the other fantasy sweets I'm
- 19:37Speaker 1: going to explore each of these relationships fully. She was
- 19:39Speaker 1: super transparent about it, and he seemed to understand and accept,
- 19:46Speaker 1: And now this conversation the bridge has her wondering if
- 19:50Speaker 1: he is truly accepting it. She thinks it's a test.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I don't know. I just like I feel the other
- 19:58Speaker 1: person on the other side a um, because it's just
- 20:02Speaker 1: such a weird environment. She said that he said that
- 20:08Speaker 1: it seems like cheating this week if she were to
- 20:11Speaker 1: be with anybody else, because that's how solid he feels
- 20:14Speaker 1: like they are. I understand that is selfish, that is
- 20:20Speaker 1: not the way that this process goes. But I also
- 20:24Speaker 1: think it's okay for him to be vocal about it.
- 20:27Speaker 1: What do you think, Am I wrong? I don't think
- 20:30Speaker 1: you're wrong at all. I mean, I think there's so
- 20:33Speaker 1: much nuance to these situations. I don't know if I
- 20:36Speaker 1: would want if I'm looking at this scenario. Okay, if
- 20:40Speaker 1: I'm Gabby, I don't know if i'd want Eric being like,
- 20:43Speaker 1: you know what, I feel really good about these other
- 20:46Speaker 1: fantasy feet exactly. I was gonna say, can we twist
- 20:50Speaker 1: this conversation and just say in him going up to
- 20:52Speaker 1: her and being like, Hey, just want to let you
- 20:53Speaker 1: know you're in the middle of this week and I
- 20:56Speaker 1: want you to have fun. Yeah, I hope you're enjoying
- 20:59Speaker 1: every reman fully. I just I mean, I think that
- 21:04Speaker 1: might in some relationships be I mean, that's what's unique
- 21:08Speaker 1: is sometimes we see that during this show, where people
- 21:11Speaker 1: are like, I just want you to explore it, and
- 21:12Speaker 1: if it's me at the end, I'm happy to be there.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I also think there is a level of um emotion
- 21:20Speaker 1: if he's in love with her, where he's like, I
- 21:22Speaker 1: can't imagine you doing this with anybody else. I can
- 21:25Speaker 1: imagine you having whatever kind of moment you're gonna have
- 21:28Speaker 1: with anybody else, because in my eyes, like you are mine,
- 21:32Speaker 1: like you you and I are together now. I also
- 21:37Speaker 1: think then you have to give some idea or some
- 21:41Speaker 1: consideration to the fact that they are in this experience
- 21:44Speaker 1: and this is the next like, this is a thing
- 21:46Speaker 1: that happens. It is the format of the show. It
- 21:49Speaker 1: it happens every season. I don't mind him sharing that
- 21:53Speaker 1: it makes him feel weird. I don't know if I
- 21:57Speaker 1: love the it feels like cheating to me, because that
- 22:01Speaker 1: is a that is obviously a very big claim, and
- 22:06Speaker 1: I don't know if there's enough clarity around that to
- 22:10Speaker 1: be like, it feels like cheating to me. I'm not
- 22:13Speaker 1: going to consider it cheating. It's not a deal breaker.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Just know that it's really hard for me to understand
- 22:19Speaker 1: and process right now. I don't you know. I don't
- 22:22Speaker 1: know how that like that. Again, the nuance of those
- 22:25Speaker 1: conversations existed. I don't love an ultimatum ever, on the
- 22:29Speaker 1: show or in life. I don't think this was an ultimatum.
- 22:32Speaker 1: But as she said, is it a test? Yeah? But
- 22:35Speaker 1: but again, I don't know if I love the idea
- 22:37Speaker 1: of being a test. You don't test your partner. Do
- 22:40Speaker 1: you think it's a test? I don't think so, I must,
- 22:44Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm trying to give the benefit of
- 22:45Speaker 1: the doubt here to say, I bet he is all
- 22:48Speaker 1: up in his own head. I bet he is so confused,
- 22:52Speaker 1: and this is really hard, and I think he really
- 22:54Speaker 1: cares about her, and he said things probably didn't come
- 22:57Speaker 1: out perfectly, probably needed some like clarity and some some
- 23:02Speaker 1: more words and emotion wrapped around it. But I would
- 23:07Speaker 1: I mean, I don't like it if he's testing her,
- 23:09Speaker 1: Like I don't like it if he's like, well, hey
- 23:10Speaker 1: you failed that one. Uh sorry, we're not together. That
- 23:14Speaker 1: wouldn't be fair. And I don't see him doing that.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I don't see it. Yeah, so I know, I don't
- 23:19Speaker 1: think it's a test, but I do think he's trying
- 23:23Speaker 1: to explain that, like this is really hard for him
- 23:25Speaker 1: to understand, and I and hey, come on, like it is.
- 23:29Speaker 1: It's weird, it's very awkward. It's very you know, abnormal
- 23:34Speaker 1: for some couples to be at this stage in their
- 23:38Speaker 1: relationship in a few days. I mean I went through
- 23:41Speaker 1: this like a few days before. You are, you know,
- 23:46Speaker 1: walking away into the sunset with somebody. You're also still
- 23:49Speaker 1: dating somebody else up until the hour beforehand. That's weird,
- 23:53Speaker 1: that's not normal, that's not like. I don't know if
- 23:56Speaker 1: it's healthy. So yeah, you're you're not used to these emotions.
- 24:00Speaker 1: So no, I don't know if it's a test. I
- 24:02Speaker 1: don't want to assume it's a test. Gabby obviously feels
- 24:04Speaker 1: like it's a test. That's not probably good. They need
- 24:07Speaker 1: to talk about that. Yeah, all right, we'll see how
- 24:11Speaker 1: it unfolds. This conversation truly left me anxious for the
- 24:15Speaker 1: next episode, and I'm not sure I felt that way
- 24:18Speaker 1: so far this season. I'm pretty excited to press play
- 24:21Speaker 1: on the next episode. So I'll say that while it
- 24:24Speaker 1: might be an emotional but a point of emotional turmoil
- 24:28Speaker 1: for them, for me as an audience member, I'm into it. Yeah,
- 24:32Speaker 1: you're engaged. So that's it worked. That's why it was shown.
- 24:36Speaker 1: We got up next Rachel and Avan's overnight date. I've
- 24:39Speaker 1: been a fan of Avan this whole time. I feel
- 24:41Speaker 1: like he is the silent kind of like the sneaky
- 24:46Speaker 1: pick here. Uh. He's obviously stood out since beginning. He's
- 24:50Speaker 1: been kind, he's been he's good looking. They have good chemistry.
- 24:55Speaker 1: I don't feel like we know I don't know if
- 24:57Speaker 1: I know Aven well, I don't know him at all.
- 25:00Speaker 1: This is a huge point that I wanted to make
- 25:02Speaker 1: in this this podcast. We have not been getting enough
- 25:05Speaker 1: in the moment. I tm interviews from these guys we
- 25:08Speaker 1: have not been getting enough interviews in general from these guys.
- 25:11Speaker 1: They're not narrating the show whatsoever. It's all the girls narrating.
- 25:16Speaker 1: And I think that is where we are feeling a
- 25:19Speaker 1: disconnect because you know, like back in maybe in every season,
- 25:24Speaker 1: but I can take it to my my season personally
- 25:27Speaker 1: a little bit more because, like I remember certain sound
- 25:30Speaker 1: bites and such, the girls really the cast narrated the
- 25:34Speaker 1: season a lot, and we had lots of funny little bits,
- 25:39Speaker 1: little bites, you know, little sound bites ever here and
- 25:42Speaker 1: there that you really there's like a lot of personality.
- 25:45Speaker 1: You're able to tell the personality is someone if not
- 25:48Speaker 1: on a date, through the sound bites, through the interview clips,
- 25:53Speaker 1: and with these guys, we get nothing. These guys are
- 25:55Speaker 1: so boring in the interview room. Well, do you think
- 26:00Speaker 1: they're boring in general? Then I don't think so. Actually,
- 26:03Speaker 1: I think they're bad interviews, And I think that that
- 26:06Speaker 1: might be why we're feeling. We're not feeling um their
- 26:09Speaker 1: personalities come through, yeah, because like the iconic moments are
- 26:13Speaker 1: the memes that you've created or that other contestants have created,
- 26:17Speaker 1: the funny like you said, sound bites or for you
- 26:20Speaker 1: the tears of emotion that sometimes made no sense on
- 26:23Speaker 1: why you're crying when you're crying. But that's like why
- 26:26Speaker 1: we fall in love with Ashley is she's we know
- 26:29Speaker 1: who she is, she's emotional, and we're showing the fact
- 26:31Speaker 1: that she gets emotional over everything. She laughed, cries when
- 26:36Speaker 1: you know. When the producer asked her about like how
- 26:39Speaker 1: our current current feelings are, She's like, this is so
- 26:41Speaker 1: I'm I'm referring to myself and she but it's like
- 26:45Speaker 1: I feel so ridiculous or feeling this that I'm laughing
- 26:48Speaker 1: and crying at the same time. You are not getting
- 26:51Speaker 1: anything from these guys. They are like freaking paint on
- 26:56Speaker 1: watching paint on, whatever that expression is. They are not
- 27:00Speaker 1: dynamic in the interview room, and we need more of
- 27:02Speaker 1: this watching pain dry. Uh So, yeah, I think that
- 27:07Speaker 1: we're missing that, and I think that that's one of
- 27:09Speaker 1: the reasons we don't know even very well. He seems
- 27:11Speaker 1: so sweet and pleasant and so attractive, and he literally
- 27:15Speaker 1: has not done a thing quote quote wrong or suspicious
- 27:20Speaker 1: or that made you go like everything has been lovely
- 27:24Speaker 1: with him, But we don't have a lot of um.
- 27:27Speaker 1: We don't have a lot of dynamic moments from him.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Can I make a comparison, Yeah, I feel like Even
- 27:45Speaker 1: and Jason are one of the reasons why this is happening,
- 27:48Speaker 1: are very similar to where this is probably just really
- 27:50Speaker 1: uncomfortable for them. They don't shine uh in a group
- 27:54Speaker 1: dating environment on a national television show, and so they've
- 27:57Speaker 1: been more reserved. They're probably there that they seem like
- 28:01Speaker 1: great guys, they're just uncomfortable. And so sometimes at the end,
- 28:06Speaker 1: we have big personalities. Most of the time, at the end,
- 28:08Speaker 1: we have the biggest personalities are the ones that still
- 28:11Speaker 1: are around, and so we hear a lot from these
- 28:13Speaker 1: big personalities, and for whatever reason, this is gabbing Rachel's journey.
- 28:17Speaker 1: But they both have somebody in their group that maybe
- 28:20Speaker 1: is a little more reserved, a little more uncomfortable, and
- 28:23Speaker 1: so we're not hearing it. And then we have Tino,
- 28:25Speaker 1: you know, who's an all mixed bag of emotions right now,
- 28:28Speaker 1: who you know is very like is having a hard
- 28:33Speaker 1: time with this whole process also, but I think he's
- 28:35Speaker 1: a big personality, he's just having a hard hard time.
- 28:39Speaker 1: And so we have two guys that are a little
- 28:40Speaker 1: lot more reserved that you expect, don't usually get there
- 28:43Speaker 1: at the end, but we have them, so we're not
- 28:45Speaker 1: seeing a lot. Yeah, you can tell that Tino is
- 28:48Speaker 1: just a chattier person in real life probably, Okay, um okay,
- 28:53Speaker 1: But back to Avon, I have not much to say
- 28:56Speaker 1: because it continues to be this like sweet, like everything
- 29:01Speaker 1: is lovely thing and she apparently really liked her fantasy
- 29:04Speaker 1: sheet moment for him. He is the full package, she says.
- 29:08Speaker 1: He says that they slept for twenty minutes. Uh, and
- 29:11Speaker 1: then she says that she's falling in love with him
- 29:15Speaker 1: and that. You know, That's when I was like, whoa,
- 29:17Speaker 1: she's saying it. And then I was shocked that she
- 29:20Speaker 1: went and said that she was in love with Tino.
- 29:22Speaker 1: So that just gives it all away, right, Yeah, it does. Uh.
- 29:26Speaker 1: It's a little frustrating. Uh not because I think Tino
- 29:30Speaker 1: is a terrible choice. I'm just you know, you have
- 29:33Speaker 1: people like Evan who are kind of doing this thing
- 29:36Speaker 1: well and walking through it well. And then you know,
- 29:40Speaker 1: in the back of her mind she's like, yeah, but
- 29:41Speaker 1: I'm just into somebody else. I'm wondering how blinded maybe
- 29:44Speaker 1: she is right now to what she thought she was
- 29:47Speaker 1: going to feel for Tino to now what she thinks
- 29:49Speaker 1: she feels for Tino and like the other guys are
- 29:54Speaker 1: just gonna kind of get put on the back burner,
- 29:55Speaker 1: which brings up Tino because Jesse goes to see Tino
- 29:58Speaker 1: in the next scene, right, and he basically just talks
- 30:02Speaker 1: about how the family visit was complicated. Um. He says
- 30:07Speaker 1: that there's like obviously this is something that they're going
- 30:09Speaker 1: to need to talk about. Um. He says that that
- 30:16Speaker 1: the waiting game, you know, just waiting for that last
- 30:19Speaker 1: what was that her that was not her last you know,
- 30:21Speaker 1: waiting throughout the week knowing that she's you know, sleeping
- 30:25Speaker 1: over possibly with other guys, is just the worst nails
- 30:29Speaker 1: a shockboard, he says. UM. And he says that his
- 30:34Speaker 1: dad took an interest and asked tough questions and it
- 30:40Speaker 1: was obviously concerned that Rachel walked out of the house
- 30:42Speaker 1: thinking that he did not like her. Um. He says
- 30:46Speaker 1: that the day that he was like naturally skeptical his
- 30:49Speaker 1: dad and that she was caught off guard by it.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Again like I don't think that he knows the extent
- 30:56Speaker 1: of which, like the dad was not friendly. Well and
- 30:59Speaker 1: now see and based on our headlines, you know, Tino's
- 31:02Speaker 1: dad has been pretty vocal on Facebook about that date
- 31:06Speaker 1: and about that time, and so he did take an interest.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I I just you know, I think a little bit
- 31:14Speaker 1: of this is too I don't know, when you're a parent,
- 31:19Speaker 1: like I said, you don't want to be overcritical. It's
- 31:21Speaker 1: a weird situation. But you also don't want to set
- 31:23Speaker 1: your kids up to be in in a harder situation
- 31:25Speaker 1: than they already are. This is a weird thing to navigate,
- 31:28Speaker 1: and so don't be the thing that gets in the middle.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Uh maybe in life of them taking chances, in pursuing
- 31:37Speaker 1: their dreams and their loves and their interests, you just
- 31:40Speaker 1: want to be the one that stands in the middle
- 31:41Speaker 1: of that. M hm. And so I think at some
- 31:45Speaker 1: point here it kind of feels like it's it's overshadowing
- 31:51Speaker 1: maybe what they have. Yeah, the first part of their
- 31:54Speaker 1: day is all about her like resisting and like being
- 31:58Speaker 1: scared to fall for him more because she's just worried
- 32:03Speaker 1: that they're going to get engaged and then they're still
- 32:06Speaker 1: not going to have family support and then it's going
- 32:08Speaker 1: to complicate things and you know, but then she seems
- 32:11Speaker 1: to really get over that during the nighttime portion. Um, again,
- 32:16Speaker 1: Tino is kind of well Rachel's Rachel says, your dad
- 32:20Speaker 1: said I won't disown him. This is the proper quote
- 32:24Speaker 1: that I was referring to earlier. I won't disown him
- 32:28Speaker 1: if he gets engaged, but I won't accept it. That
- 32:31Speaker 1: is bad. That's way worse than what I had said previously. Yeah,
- 32:37Speaker 1: and then Tina goes, really, and Rachel's like, yeah, I'm
- 32:41Speaker 1: kind of worried up moving forward. And he goes, well, um,
- 32:44Speaker 1: my dad doesn't get me necessarily in the relationships sphere,
- 32:50Speaker 1: and he says that they're skeptical of the situation. Um,
- 32:54Speaker 1: but they know him and he wouldn't be here if
- 32:58Speaker 1: he didn't see her as his future. And then Rachel
- 33:02Speaker 1: wants them to make you know. She was like, okay,
- 33:05Speaker 1: so if we get engaged, like, I do not want
- 33:08Speaker 1: them to be mad. And then he goes, they won't
- 33:10Speaker 1: be mad. I know that they will come around. And
- 33:14Speaker 1: that's basically the way that it ends, and she feels
- 33:18Speaker 1: more reassured. Yeah, hey, I know they'll come around. That's
- 33:22Speaker 1: not what you want to hear when you're engaged. Um,
- 33:25Speaker 1: they my parents will like you at some point. Uh. Yeah,
- 33:28Speaker 1: that that's not exactly ideal, but it does come around,
- 33:34Speaker 1: and so we get to the evening portion. Then after
- 33:37Speaker 1: this conversation exists, do you still feel I mean we
- 33:41Speaker 1: talked about a little bit. Do you still feel like Rachel,
- 33:43Speaker 1: you know, have a connection that could exist and last
- 33:46Speaker 1: outside of this show, past this show, And do you
- 33:48Speaker 1: still feel like he's your front runner? I still feel
- 33:51Speaker 1: like he's the front runner because he said because she said,
- 33:54Speaker 1: I'm in love with you. There was no falling here,
- 33:57Speaker 1: there is just being. So he's definitely the front runner.
- 34:01Speaker 1: And I think that there's just more of a physical
- 34:03Speaker 1: connection that she has with him then the other guys.
- 34:06Speaker 1: I think there's a lot of physical attraction. There is
- 34:10Speaker 1: just um, he's got a little bit more of an
- 34:13Speaker 1: edge of a swag than the other two do. The
- 34:16Speaker 1: other two are wonderful options. But I do think that
- 34:20Speaker 1: like when it comes to like sexy, suave, like hot guy,
- 34:23Speaker 1: like the one that you like, the one he's like
- 34:27Speaker 1: like the hawkeye in high school, that a lot of
- 34:30Speaker 1: us are gravitated towards because back in high school, like
- 34:34Speaker 1: we were in like the the middle of the line,
- 34:37Speaker 1: you know, like we didn't get the popular guys, and
- 34:39Speaker 1: I feel like this is kind of like the popular
- 34:41Speaker 1: guy and he wants her. Yeah, I have no idea.
- 34:43Speaker 1: She was probably popular in school too, and probably got
- 34:45Speaker 1: any guys she wanted. I'm just looking at it from
- 34:47Speaker 1: my perspective. You're putting yourself in the story. That's okay, Yeah,
- 34:50Speaker 1: that's fair. Well. Uh, they have their overnight and we
- 34:55Speaker 1: see Gabby going the overnight, which is probably the biggest
- 34:59Speaker 1: moment I'd say so far in the show. Is the
- 35:02Speaker 1: Johnny and Gabby overnight or not there but at least
- 35:07Speaker 1: prepping for it, right Yeah, Okay, I'll let you break
- 35:11Speaker 1: it down. But I have a question that I would
- 35:13Speaker 1: love to be answered that I want your opinion on.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Do you feel like this had this scenario that you're
- 35:19Speaker 1: gonna walk us through here had anything to do with
- 35:21Speaker 1: Eric's words to Gabby in the fantasy suite, the fact
- 35:26Speaker 1: that she basically didn't go ahead with another overnight right here. Um,
- 35:32Speaker 1: I actually don't feel like they're related, but it's an
- 35:36Speaker 1: interesting point. I think that we saw Johnny's hometown and
- 35:43Speaker 1: he was obviously telling his parents openly how he was
- 35:48Speaker 1: not ready to get engaged, and their conversation, I mean
- 35:53Speaker 1: I just feel like he was like the weak man
- 35:56Speaker 1: of these three between Jason and Eric and Johnny. He's
- 36:00Speaker 1: definitely like the weak link where they have fun together,
- 36:04Speaker 1: but we don't see it as this great love. And again,
- 36:07Speaker 1: like on the boat, you're seeing them like have fun together,
- 36:11Speaker 1: talk about boats. You're like she had a hamster and
- 36:15Speaker 1: he had a catamaran or something like that. You just
- 36:19Speaker 1: don't feel like this deep connection. And then we just
- 36:23Speaker 1: circled around the conversation for so long as they sat
- 36:28Speaker 1: on the sand, waiting eventually to get to this point
- 36:32Speaker 1: where it's like, so I need to get engaged, and
- 36:35Speaker 1: then he goes, but I don't think I'm ready to
- 36:38Speaker 1: get engaged, and and then she's like, Okay, well, um,
- 36:44Speaker 1: this is sad because basically I have a man in
- 36:47Speaker 1: front of me saying he doesn't like me enough to
- 36:49Speaker 1: get engaged next week, which I think has to be.
- 36:53Speaker 1: You have to respect it. You have to respect if
- 36:55Speaker 1: the the process isn't, yeah, you can't get him for that.
- 36:59Speaker 1: But again, you sign up for the show and you
- 37:02Speaker 1: kind of know that that's what happens at the end,
- 37:04Speaker 1: but it's all in whatever time. Do you feel comfortable
- 37:06Speaker 1: with some people probably would never think they're going to
- 37:09Speaker 1: get engaged after eight weeks and they're fine with it
- 37:12Speaker 1: and they live happily. Ever after then some people are
- 37:14Speaker 1: probably like down for it and it's a mistake from
- 37:18Speaker 1: them anyway. I really just think that they were just
- 37:22Speaker 1: circling the conversation over and over again, and Johnny said
- 37:26Speaker 1: this really funny. Johnny was like, I don't know how
- 37:28Speaker 1: I feel. I feel numb. I am upset. I was like,
- 37:32Speaker 1: this is why we don't have any I T moments
- 37:35Speaker 1: for them. This is this is, this is it. They
- 37:38Speaker 1: cannot describe I I am not. There's no way to
- 37:44Speaker 1: villainize a moment where you like, I know I sent
- 37:46Speaker 1: up for a show that INDs and engagement, but I'm
- 37:48Speaker 1: just not there yet. I would like this show to
- 37:51Speaker 1: be more like that, where we're at the end and
- 37:53Speaker 1: we're like, I don't know, like you know, I know
- 37:56Speaker 1: they like each other, but are they ready to make
- 37:58Speaker 1: this big commitment. Yeah. I'm mostly because I'm just tired
- 38:01Speaker 1: of people breaking up. Which, hey, I'm in that group,
- 38:03Speaker 1: so I can't like I'm not critical. I just I
- 38:06Speaker 1: would like to know when somebody does get down on
- 38:08Speaker 1: one knee at the end, They're like, no, I'm doing
- 38:10Speaker 1: this because I mean it, not because I feel like
- 38:12Speaker 1: the show is making me or because I this is
- 38:14Speaker 1: what I signed up for. I've said that for years. Um. Yeah,
- 38:18Speaker 1: and just to date afterwards even and we can follow
- 38:20Speaker 1: that story if we want, but we'd probably just move
- 38:22Speaker 1: on to the next season anyways. But yeah, I don't
- 38:27Speaker 1: think you can villainize him. But I also think it
- 38:29Speaker 1: is funny that you pointed out that he did say
- 38:31Speaker 1: I don't know, I feel I feel no, I'm just
- 38:33Speaker 1: sat or whatever. I feel nothing. I feel no, I
- 38:36Speaker 1: feel upset all at once, you know, sequential sentence or whatever.
- 38:42Speaker 1: This is just too much for me. I've never talked
- 38:43Speaker 1: about my emotions before. This is weird. Yeah. Well, I
- 38:46Speaker 1: think with Johnny is that he's just been overall nice,
- 38:50Speaker 1: honest guy. He's really never hidden anything. There's nothing to
- 38:53Speaker 1: get on him for because he's been transparent the entire
- 38:56Speaker 1: way through Yeah, even through the group dates. I agree
- 38:59Speaker 1: with that. Well, Uh, Johnny's not there any longer. He
- 39:02Speaker 1: goes home. Ah, And it's mostly I mean, I don't
- 39:07Speaker 1: know how much has to do with the Eric's words
- 39:09Speaker 1: to Gabby, but I do think it's probably the the
- 39:12Speaker 1: right decision because this relationship heavy in its course. Yeah.
- 39:17Speaker 1: I mean nobody walked away from that scene being like, ah,
- 39:21Speaker 1: they lost their great love. Yeah, I like, I get
- 39:24Speaker 1: it fair. Okay, a couple more scenes here, Ashley to
- 39:28Speaker 1: walk us through h Jesse does visit Jason, who is
- 39:33Speaker 1: uh still part of Gabby's group. Jason has been more
- 39:37Speaker 1: reserved and more quiet throughout the whole season, but Gabby
- 39:40Speaker 1: has obviously felt something very strong for him through this
- 39:42Speaker 1: whole season as well. Yeah, and we get this sound
- 39:47Speaker 1: bite from Jason who's basically says he's, like I said earlier,
- 39:52Speaker 1: not in love with Gabby, yet he's getting there, and
- 39:57Speaker 1: this just has him leaving written all over it, especially
- 40:02Speaker 1: since we have the other sound bite of Jesse saying
- 40:06Speaker 1: there's a guy there, Gabby or Rachel, you are the
- 40:10Speaker 1: only bachelor at remaining. So in my head, that means
- 40:14Speaker 1: that Gabby is left with just Eric and perhaps she's
- 40:20Speaker 1: not sold on Eric after this quote testing scene, and
- 40:26Speaker 1: that's why we hear her saying, like, am I did
- 40:29Speaker 1: she use your word? Did she say she's unlovable or
- 40:32Speaker 1: something like that? So I think that's a big tease.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I think she's gonna end up with Eric, but I
- 40:41Speaker 1: don't know if it's gonna be easy or there's gonna
- 40:43Speaker 1: be like some romantic engagement scene. We've actually, like have
- 40:47Speaker 1: no teasing clips of an engagement scene, right, have we
- 40:51Speaker 1: seen like the guys like walking up with Well, I
- 40:54Speaker 1: guess obviously we're not seeing the guys, but we're not
- 40:56Speaker 1: seeing any rings being picked out or anything like that,
- 41:00Speaker 1: So who knows? Which makes me think that they there's
- 41:03Speaker 1: an engagement scene like that. You do, Yeah, like they're
- 41:06Speaker 1: hiding it from us because they want us to be surprised. Okay,
- 41:10Speaker 1: that's so that's where my mind goes. Okay, but do
- 41:13Speaker 1: you agree with me that you think that Gabby is
- 41:15Speaker 1: going to be left with just the pick of Eric. Yeah,
- 41:17Speaker 1: and I think she's happy with it. Yeah, she's happy
- 41:20Speaker 1: with it. And look, look Eric, he didn't She didn't
- 41:23Speaker 1: sleep with anybody else because nobody else is around. So
- 41:29Speaker 1: there you go. Well, final scene, we brought it up
- 41:32Speaker 1: a little bit before Ashley, you teased it. Gabby thinks
- 41:37Speaker 1: she's going to see her grandpa Um, but Eric just
- 41:41Speaker 1: wants to see her. This is kind of the end
- 41:45Speaker 1: of the episode. Is the big teaser for our next episode,
- 41:49Speaker 1: which obviously we get two episodes this week. Ah, walk
- 41:53Speaker 1: us through it? Well, you know, we we did have.
- 41:57Speaker 1: We didn't cover most of it, but we do. I
- 41:59Speaker 1: do want to talk about how Gabby left it. She
- 42:02Speaker 1: said she's questioning if he will be her guy, or
- 42:05Speaker 1: if Jason will be her guy. And she says that people, um,
- 42:09Speaker 1: she says people she wants to love her never do
- 42:15Speaker 1: and she hopes this doesn't end up in a dumpster fire,
- 42:18Speaker 1: but it feels like it could be the end for her.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Like those are big, big words. Do you feel like?
- 42:24Speaker 1: Am I wrong in saying those words alone? Almost feel
- 42:28Speaker 1: like they're hinting at if Eric leaves, this thing is
- 42:30Speaker 1: kind of over for me. I don't think it's I
- 42:34Speaker 1: don't think Eric's going to leave, even if she sleeps
- 42:38Speaker 1: with everyone and he finds out about it. I think
- 42:42Speaker 1: she's trying. She's questioning whether or not she wants to
- 42:47Speaker 1: be with Eric, a guy who's bringing this conversation up
- 42:51Speaker 1: to her after he was already done in a fantasy suite. Okay.
- 42:55Speaker 1: I think she's thinking like he's making this conversation public
- 42:59Speaker 1: and I don't like that because we've established it in
- 43:02Speaker 1: private and it was important that it stayed private to me,
- 43:05Speaker 1: which is why I think she kind of called them
- 43:06Speaker 1: out on it. I don't know, maybe I'm looking to
- 43:08Speaker 1: into it, okay. My my thought to you is, I
- 43:12Speaker 1: don't know if it's okay for you in this scenario
- 43:14Speaker 1: to be like, I don't know. I feel like as
- 43:16Speaker 1: a viewer, we should know either we don't know anything. Well,
- 43:20Speaker 1: I feel like we either shouldn't know anything about it,
- 43:23Speaker 1: or we should know something about it. Not that the
- 43:26Speaker 1: viewer has any right to anything here. This is their
- 43:28Speaker 1: experiences that we're watching. But now we're just kind of
- 43:31Speaker 1: left in a huge scene that feels like it's a
- 43:34Speaker 1: culmination of months of watching the show, and your left
- 43:39Speaker 1: as a viewer who is very engaged in this show
- 43:41Speaker 1: going I don't know, and I don't think that's I
- 43:44Speaker 1: don't know if that I mean, and I have the
- 43:46Speaker 1: same feeling. There's just a lot of assumptions left to
- 43:49Speaker 1: be There are a lot of assumptions, so we can't
- 43:52Speaker 1: really pick sides if we don't know exactly how the
- 43:54Speaker 1: conversation went down. Granted, do we know how every conversation
- 43:57Speaker 1: that's ever aired really went down? No, because has to
- 44:00Speaker 1: be chopped down. But I do love a fantasy suite
- 44:05Speaker 1: drama in this case, where like people leave the fantasy
- 44:09Speaker 1: suite and then the drama from it gets brought up,
- 44:12Speaker 1: Like remember from Claren Wan Pablo and I was thinking
- 44:18Speaker 1: Tasha and Colton. Remember she walked out and she was like,
- 44:21Speaker 1: I don't I don't know, and then there was a
- 44:26Speaker 1: Rachel Lindsay and yeah and Peter. That was that was good?
- 44:36Speaker 1: All right? Anyway, So I do love a little about
- 44:39Speaker 1: fantasy Suite Cliffhanger. I think we're gonna get a little
- 44:42Speaker 1: bit more contacts in the next episode. We'll find out.
- 44:45Speaker 1: But let's move on to headlines and trending tweets from
- 44:49Speaker 1: last night? Shall we do that after the break? All right,
- 45:03Speaker 1: let's go through trending tweets from last night. I love
- 45:06Speaker 1: these tweets. We just kind of added this segment into
- 45:08Speaker 1: the podcast, what is up with the black Box? Over
- 45:13Speaker 1: Gabby's butt. I'm actually quite annoyed at the black Box
- 45:16Speaker 1: because why put her in a bathing suit that you're
- 45:20Speaker 1: going to have the black boxer on? It's so distracting,
- 45:23Speaker 1: and it's like, isn't really that skimpy that it can't
- 45:26Speaker 1: make primetime. ABC, Come on, it can't be that skimpy again.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Then why do you put it in the swimsuit? Don't
- 45:33Speaker 1: put her in the swimsuit. It's like kind of demoralizing. Yeah,
- 45:36Speaker 1: it's weird. Yeah, I don't I don't love it. No,
- 45:40Speaker 1: they like really made an effort to if you saw
- 45:43Speaker 1: some of them, they edit it in a way that
- 45:46Speaker 1: you could see like multiple layers. Like they really took
- 45:49Speaker 1: their they're manipulating skills. Um, okay. Other trending tweets that
- 45:55Speaker 1: made you giggle Gabby and Eric jumping. There's there's a
- 46:01Speaker 1: tweet that says, is that why this episode is split
- 46:04Speaker 1: into two? We had to spend twenty minutes watching Eric
- 46:08Speaker 1: and Gabby prepared to jump into the water. Hey, I
- 46:11Speaker 1: told you earlier. You need to put in all those
- 46:14Speaker 1: Bachelor punts, the jumping, in the falling, It's got to
- 46:20Speaker 1: be there. Uh. And then ABC I think kind of
- 46:23Speaker 1: messed up a little bit. There's a tweet here that
- 46:25Speaker 1: I find odd too. Is ABC spoiling Johnny's illumination by
- 46:29Speaker 1: showing him a Bachelor in Paradise preview. They did put
- 46:32Speaker 1: him in the Paradise preview last week. That's funny. Okay,
- 46:39Speaker 1: so yes, they did mess up there. I think it
- 46:41Speaker 1: was just so obvious those two weren't going to end
- 46:43Speaker 1: up together. There we go. Okay, it's time for headlines.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Big headline here kind of snuck up on us a
- 46:49Speaker 1: little bit. But the Bachelor Lama, Amanda Stanton is married.
- 46:52Speaker 1: All the details of her timeless California nuptials. Um, and
- 46:56Speaker 1: this is according to people. Congratulations, Amanda, super pumped. Gratulations Amanda. Yes,
- 47:01Speaker 1: this wedding was definitely put together quickly. They got engaged
- 47:05Speaker 1: in December. Um. But she definitely wanted to get the
- 47:09Speaker 1: wedding going. I think she planned it in like five
- 47:12Speaker 1: I think it was like five months. Um. It looked sedanning.
- 47:17Speaker 1: The pictures are beautiful. Her dresses are spectacular, as they
- 47:21Speaker 1: would be in all Amanda stand fashion. Uh. Lauren Lane
- 47:26Speaker 1: was there, Andy Dorfan was there, Emily Ferguson and Raven
- 47:29Speaker 1: and Adam were there. Um. She walked down the aisle
- 47:36Speaker 1: in a Monique Lilier gown as Taylor Swift's Wildest Dreams
- 47:41Speaker 1: played like WHOA that is a moment? Uh. The The
- 47:47Speaker 1: theme for the night was an elevated modern garden wedding.
- 47:52Speaker 1: It was very simple. Guests dined on lobster rolls, steak
- 47:57Speaker 1: in fish, and a dessert crape station. They also had
- 48:01Speaker 1: a late night bites pizza and grilled cheese. Kins her
- 48:05Speaker 1: daughter Kins was the maid of honor, and Charlie it
- 48:08Speaker 1: was the flower girl. It was adorable and their dog
- 48:11Speaker 1: made all the pictures even better. That's so good. Well,
- 48:16Speaker 1: we're really happy for Amanda. She's an awesome girl in
- 48:20Speaker 1: this relationship has been really fun to watch through social media.
- 48:23Speaker 1: So yeah, her husband, it seems so fun like he's
- 48:28Speaker 1: hilarious on social media. Well. Uh, former Bachelor at Claire
- 48:32Speaker 1: Crawley debutsed new man after breakup from Dale Moss or
- 48:36Speaker 1: the engagement, I guess got broken up. This according to
- 48:39Speaker 1: US Weekly, we know nothing about this guy's We know
- 48:43Speaker 1: nothing about him because the caption is simply him. She
- 48:49Speaker 1: put a reel of the two of them like just
- 48:52Speaker 1: goofing off from the car together and that was her
- 48:55Speaker 1: hard launch for her boyfriend. We do know his name. Um,
- 49:00Speaker 1: what we suspect the fans are are suspeculating that this
- 49:05Speaker 1: is Mascot Sports CEO Ryan Dawkins. She didn't provide the
- 49:11Speaker 1: name but the fans are, you know, they've done their digging.
- 49:15Speaker 1: And she says that they've been seeing each other for
- 49:18Speaker 1: a while. And I'm really happy about this. I saw
- 49:22Speaker 1: Claire in June and I know that she was seeing someone,
- 49:26Speaker 1: but I didn't know it was something that was on
- 49:29Speaker 1: the road to seriousness. And I'm not sure if it's
- 49:31Speaker 1: even the same guy, but I'm so excited for her.
- 49:34Speaker 1: I'm always rooting for Claire's love life. There we go,
- 49:39Speaker 1: Claire back at it again. Next headline is this Bachelor Nations,
- 49:43Speaker 1: Sannah Brown attends her brother Patrick's wedding to Jed Wyatt's
- 49:47Speaker 1: ex Haley Stevens. This is just the craziest thing. Guys,
- 49:53Speaker 1: we all know what we don't Maybe you don't know,
- 49:56Speaker 1: but it was a juicy scoop. Soon after the finale
- 50:00Speaker 1: of Hannah Brown season, it was found out that Hannah's
- 50:05Speaker 1: brother Patrick ended up getting together and dating Hayley Stevens,
- 50:11Speaker 1: which was the girl that Jed was dating when he
- 50:17Speaker 1: went onto the show. It's just the craziest twist of
- 50:20Speaker 1: all time. Now Hannah is in the same family as
- 50:24Speaker 1: the girl that really ruined. Well, she did not ruin
- 50:27Speaker 1: the season, Jed did but you know she's involved to
- 50:30Speaker 1: a certain extent. So I don't think that Hannah is
- 50:33Speaker 1: like really the hugest of fans. You can't help but
- 50:37Speaker 1: be a little bitter towards the whole situation. Um. She
- 50:42Speaker 1: said in the comment, I've come to realize my life
- 50:46Speaker 1: is a never ending plot twist, but it makes for
- 50:50Speaker 1: a damn good, for sure weird story. So she did
- 50:57Speaker 1: not take a picture with the the bride. She has
- 51:01Speaker 1: not been photographed on Hannah's Instagram, but at least she
- 51:05Speaker 1: has some sort of sense of humor about it all. Yeah,
- 51:07Speaker 1: and she went with her boyfriend Adam, so they're still
- 51:11Speaker 1: happy and together. Uh, she went to the wedding. That's
- 51:14Speaker 1: a big deal. As hard as that would be or
- 51:16Speaker 1: as weird as that would be, she at least atended
- 51:17Speaker 1: the wedding, which is important, and she won't regret that.
- 51:20Speaker 1: I don't think. Well, the final headline is this big
- 51:24Speaker 1: congratulations and just um admiration for bachelortte alum Zach Clark.
- 51:30Speaker 1: He celebrates eleven years of sobriety. His quote is if
- 51:32Speaker 1: I can do it, you can do it. This. According
- 51:35Speaker 1: to people, he said, I'm super super grateful. I feel
- 51:39Speaker 1: very loved the beautiful notes and messages. Thank you so
- 51:44Speaker 1: much for that. As I sit here and I reflect
- 51:46Speaker 1: on the past eleven years, I can't help but recognize
- 51:49Speaker 1: that actually what I had nothing to do with me.
- 51:52Speaker 1: This has to do with the people that paved the
- 51:54Speaker 1: path for me, those that came before me, and more importantly,
- 52:00Speaker 1: the person that is out there still struggling today, struggling
- 52:03Speaker 1: with their addictions, struggling with their mental health, and feeling
- 52:06Speaker 1: that they cannot go on um. He says. As to
- 52:11Speaker 1: how he's still can have fun while being sober, he said,
- 52:15Speaker 1: I laugh because I've been given this next level existence
- 52:20Speaker 1: that I am so proud of. He said. It was
- 52:23Speaker 1: hard being out there on the street, but willing to
- 52:28Speaker 1: two and willing to die to get high one more time,
- 52:32Speaker 1: one more hit. Said. This life isn't This life is easy,
- 52:36Speaker 1: and it's beautiful, and it's available to you if you
- 52:39Speaker 1: want it, ask for help. We are here for you.
- 52:42Speaker 1: We love you. Keep going, dig in. I promise it
- 52:46Speaker 1: gets better. If you can do it, I can do it.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Let's go and again just remind you guys. He is
- 52:51Speaker 1: the co founder of Release and Recovery, which is a
- 52:54Speaker 1: rehab center for people that well, that are currently in
- 52:58Speaker 1: the situation that he was in. Absolutely beautiful. Congratulations Zach.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Let's all we have for you today. This has been
