That's the deal. Well believe it or not, I've

actually tried in the past to work with non believers.

Obviously many of you know that I was an atheist for a while

there and that didn't stop me from wanting to do music and

still write books obviously. Although it did make me question

quite a few times, why should I be doing this for, you know, one

day I'm going to die and none of it will ever matter.

That kind of crisis, you know, mentally and spiritually.

But, you know, I soldiered on, yes.

OK, So trying to work with atheist musicians.

The problem with this is, I'm going to be frank with you, most

atheist I've ever dealt with, they don't have any talent.

I mean, there's a couple of them that know how to play some

chords on the guitar, but they don't have any spiritual sense,

they don't have any discernment, and they are usually involved in

music for all the wrong reasons, like they're out to want to have

sex with girls. It's all about money for them

and the music really doesn't mean anything.

It's where the music will take them as what they're constantly

thinking about, what it will get them material wise.

They can't just sit down and enjoy making music or writing

books and all that kind of stuff and it has to be the end game

for them. And on top of that, 95% of the

time, none of them have the talent to actually go anywhere.

You'll notice when you look at the music industry or even with

actors and actresses, most of the greatest actors and

musicians and entertainers of all times have always believed

in a God. And the same can be said about

the most revolutionary scientists that have ever

existed, like Albert Einstein, who said the more I study

science, the more I believe in God.

All the greatest scientists in the world who believed in God

were the ones that went down in history as those who changed the

world or made some kind of impact.

Fred Mercury, although he wasn't a Christian, he was as a

Rastrian, which meant that he believed in a God.

Megadeth. Dave Mustin as a Christian and

most of the band is spiritual in the sense that they believe in a

higher power. Metallica has confirmed that

they believe in God. In fact, on many of their songs

they speak of God and talk about God.

With Metallica though, it's kind of a mixed type of concept where

some songs talk about changes in life, but Metallica's lyrics are

usually pretty negative. So when they do mention their

belief in God, unfortunately sometimes they dump on him.

I'll give you an example. Welcome Home Sanitarium mentions

called One. It's about a guy who was

convinced by his father that it would be democracy to go out in

the war and that that's the ultimate way to be able to bring

freedom is to get your parts blown off.

And the music video, it shows disturbing imagery of a man who

has been paralyzed to the point where he can't even twitch a

finger, and he's crying out to God to kill him because he

doesn't want to live like that. Very disturbing.

And then the lyrics, it says, hold my breath as I wait for

death. Oh, God, please wake me.

And I think there's a line where he actually asked God to kill

him. So they believe very strongly in

their lyrics. They have a lot of lyrics having

to do with that, but they talk about the evils and the darkness

in the world whenever writing their music so it's hard to

tell. Alice Cooper been around for

many many years. Ozzy Osbourne.

Ozzy Osbourne uses a lot of symbolic religious material and

the stuff, but he's made it clear that him and his family

heavily believe in God. If you want to really, really be

You might be able to go out and find a couple rare musicians who

have atheist beliefs, but you'll notice that they're their bands

are are Garbage, Led Zeppelin, Stairway to Heaven.

I mean, it was a song about God and faith and all that.

And then they have another song having to do with love and

Pink Floyd But they're, their views are kind of unusual.

And it's also extremely difficult to work with people

who are so involved in their nihilism and nothing views that

they give you a hard time because your views are

a believer in God. If you actually listen to his

He doesn't always look positively on some of the

decisions God made in the Bible. Like he's got a song called

Killing them, the name God, but he still believes God is there.

He just doesn't see him as this Nancy Pansy hippie that some

get out of line. Well, if you're working with an

atheist musician, they just can't keep it to themselves.

They're like, why is it got to be God?

TV, radio, why? Why is it that the song's got to

complaints instead of just listening to the song and

They don't want to be there. They don't want to be involved

in fellowship and meeting new people and hearing new ideas and

in himself. So that's, that's one of the

reasons why it's not to be cruel or mean.

It's not as if I haven't tried. I've always been open to trying

to work with anybody, always try to be open to being friends with

anybody in kind and listening to people's views.

to deal with drug addicts and losers and, and people who

simply don't have talent. And that's another problem too.

I've never met an atheist that can actually keep up musically.

A lot of them are lazy. A lot of them want to cut

corners. A lot of them, they just bitch

and moan constantly. And it's really when you're

doing music, you have to be in a, a zone.

They just always negative, always nasty, always got their

I mean, if if you want to be a successful politician, then you

hang out with the godless. If you want to hang out with

people who are willing to lie and cheat and steal and kill in

order to get promoted, raises and more money than they should

and rob taxpayers, then atheists are the right people to hang out

with. But if you want to do music

about love or write the philosophical novels and all

that kind of stuff, then that's the last thing that you want.

And could you imagine that? Imagine that you do meet some

non believers who you can relate with on some kind of common

interviews would be like? Because everybody reporters

always want to know what your views are.

What do you think about that? And then they have some person

who doesn't believe in any kind of moral laws or anything like

that. He's just going to sit there

and, you know, bust out about how they were smoking crack that

day or doing something stupid. And you know, if F your God, you

instantly will hurt half your audience by doing that.

You instantly basically say to people who might be listening,

if you have this view other than my own, then I consider you

lower than shit. And the problem with fans and

people who adore you and audiences is that they, they

take it to heart and they will also tell themselves in their

head and convince them, which most likely they're right.

Why should I listen to this? Why should I buy this?

Why should I support this band or this actor or this person

when they think I'm nothing more than a bug?

Well, musicians feel the same way.

And that's how I feel when I'm working with narcissistic,

untalented pieces of trash. I just, I don't want to do it.

And I've also tried to be friends with people like this

that are non believers and you just can't.

They fried their brains. Say most likely we'll end up on

alcohol and they'll be one of those musicians you hear about
