Two beloved Hill Country men, James Stout and Tad Hanich, died tragically in a devastating off-road crash near Silverton, Colorado, while on vacation. The 70-year-old Stout, a respected local historian and distiller, and the 61-year-old Hanich, a retired Navy master chief, were driving their Polaris when it may have suffered a brake failure on a sharp curve.
