- 0:00Speaker 1: You're waking up to Denver's Morning Show.
- 0:02Speaker 2: With Nina and Josh.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Mix 100.
- 0:05Speaker 2: So Michael Douglas was on a podcast recently, and he
- 0:09Speaker 2: shared a story about him and Danny DeVito back in
- 0:12Speaker 2: the day. And this story proves that the actor Danny DeVito...
- 0:17Speaker 2: is indeed Frank Reynolds from his character It's Always Sunny
- 0:20Speaker 2: in Philadelphia.
- 0:21Speaker 1: That makes me so happy.
- 0:22Speaker 2: This story is ridiculous, and I couldn't love it more.
- 0:26Speaker 2: So Michael Douglas says that he was in a car
- 0:29Speaker 2: with Danny DeVito, and they were packing some greenery, if
- 0:34Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Of course.
- 0:36Speaker 2: We're in Colorado. It is what it is.
- 0:37Speaker 1: It's all good.
- 0:38Speaker 2: And Michael, he was driving, he made an illegal left turn,
- 0:41Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden, the blue and red
- 0:43Speaker 2: lights behind him, right? Yep, exactly. So they pull over,
- 0:48Speaker 2: and knowing that they had that special stuff in their pocket, right,
- 0:52Speaker 2: Michael gets out of the car to greet the cops, which,
- 0:55Speaker 2: that's a bold move. Gotcha. But he says, you know,
- 0:57Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. I know why you're pulling me over.
- 0:59Speaker 2: I made that illegal left turn. Hi, I'm actor Michael Douglas.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Maybe you've heard of me. And he's just smoothing things
- 1:06Speaker 2: over outside of the vehicle. Meanwhile, Danny DeVito is in
- 1:09Speaker 2: the car with those rolled up trees that they got.
- 1:13Speaker 2: And he ended up Eating the cigarettes to avoid trouble
- 1:17Speaker 2: with the cops. And that is such a Frank Reynolds
- 1:21Speaker 2: thing to do.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Gotta eat the marijuana cigarettes.
- 1:25Speaker 2: He said he ate them so that they wouldn't get
- 1:28Speaker 2: in trouble just in case.
- 1:29Speaker 1: And then he saw noises for the next six hours.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Exactly. And I think they were on their way to
- 1:37Speaker 2: an award show. So that was probably the best award
- 1:39Speaker 2: show of Danny's life.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I'd like to thank not only Jesus, but God. Thank you.
- 1:44Speaker 1: That's fantastic. And that is, you're right, that is such
- 1:46Speaker 1: a frank move right there.
- 1:48Speaker 2: You gotta eat it. What else are you gonna do?
- 1:49Speaker 1: That's hilarious. I mean, hey, you can't... That's honestly a
- 1:54Speaker 1: good move. I guess. It's not gonna kill you. It's
- 1:57Speaker 1: not gonna do anything. No, probably not. It's just like eating...
- 2:01Speaker 1: An edible? Would it not be?
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, essentially. Essentially, yes.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I mean, he's just going to go.
- 2:05Speaker 2: And how and why I know that, don't worry about it.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Don't ask questions.
- 2:08Speaker 1: No, no, no. We've all heard. This is all alleged.
- 2:10Speaker 1: We've all heard. All right. That's crazy. Good for them.
- 2:12Speaker 1: That's funny. Yes.
- 2:13Speaker 3: All right.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Well, Diddy, he was in the news a couple days
- 2:15Speaker 1: ago because he did suffer a head injury. Some people
- 2:18Speaker 1: were saying he fell and hit his head. Some people
- 2:20Speaker 1: were saying it was because of a fight. Well, we
- 2:21Speaker 1: know now it was because, for some reason, he fought
- 2:24Speaker 1: a Jamaican drug lord in prison. Oh, wow. This guy's
- 2:28Speaker 1: name is Christopher, I don't want to say doodoo, dudus.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I'm not laughing.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. Don't laugh at this guy.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I'm not laughing. He is a drug lord, Nina. I'm
- 2:37Speaker 1: not laughing. Don't laugh. I'm not laughing at the drug lord.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I'm not doing it.
- 2:39Speaker 1: His real name is Christopher Coke. Fitting drug lord name,
- 2:42Speaker 1: by the way. Oh my gosh. In New Jersey's Fort
- 2:44Speaker 1: Dix Federal Prison. He did have a head injury. It's okay.
- 2:48Speaker 1: He was... released that same day and put back in prison.
- 2:52Speaker 1: But TMZ is describing the facility, or this guy is
- 2:56Speaker 1: described in the facility as the real kingpin of So
- 2:59Speaker 1: I don't know why Diddy would want to fight him.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I know why. Diddy didn't want to fight this guy.
- 3:06Speaker 2: This guy fought Diddy because obviously he and Diddy are
- 3:09Speaker 2: like friends kind of or know each other or maybe
- 3:12Speaker 2: traded services. When Diddy was getting all those like lavish treatments,
- 3:17Speaker 2: he's mad that it made the news and he beat
- 3:20Speaker 2: up Diddy. That's literally what happened.
- 3:21Speaker 1: That makes perfect sense.
- 3:23Speaker 2: That's literally what happened.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I bet you that guy's the guy in there that's like,
- 3:27Speaker 1: I can get you some stuff if you need it.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yes, and then it got out everywhere. Diddy got in
- 3:31Speaker 2: trouble for it. Maybe the drug lord got in trouble
- 3:34Speaker 2: for it. Maybe he didn't, but either way, his little
- 3:36Speaker 2: secret got out there.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 2: And he's pissed.
- 3:39Speaker 1: He's pissed. Yeah. Well, Diddy has already been moved to
- 3:42Speaker 1: solitary confinement again following this whole fiasco that happened. And
- 3:47Speaker 1: the fight apparently occurred during his, like, you get it
- 3:49Speaker 1: like a daily break, you know, where you can kind
- 3:51Speaker 1: of go hang out with people and stuff. Yeah. And
- 3:53Speaker 1: he got jumped, apparently. So, I mean, you gotta think
- 3:56Speaker 1: that Diddy is just the highest target there, right? I mean, 100%.
- 3:59Speaker 2: I mean, it's Sean Combs. He's got the celebrity on
- 4:02Speaker 2: his name, for sure. I mean, you cannot mess around
- 4:05Speaker 2: in jail like that. When it got out, I knew
- 4:07Speaker 2: something was going to come of this. You can't mess
- 4:09Speaker 2: around in jail. You can't mess around with the drug
- 4:12Speaker 2: kingpins in jail.
- 4:13Speaker 3: No.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Whose last name is Coe?
- 4:15Speaker 2: Right?
- 4:15Speaker 1: You can't do that. That's what I'm saying.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Listen, I got family in jail, OK? Stop messing around, Diddy.
- 4:21Speaker 2: You got to know the rules. So Josh, last night,
- 4:25Speaker 2: I was at home. And then all of a sudden
- 4:28Speaker 2: my nieces started texting me in our little group chat
- 4:31Speaker 2: that we have. And they're like, ladies, Love is Blind
- 4:35Speaker 2: season tonight. They dropped new episodes. And I was like, OMG,
- 4:40Speaker 2: I totally forgot. I normally keep track of Love is
- 4:43Speaker 2: Blind a little bit more.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Of course.
- 4:45Speaker 2: But it's season 11. It's been so long. The past
- 4:47Speaker 2: few seasons have been a disaster.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yeah, starting with Denver, right? Right. It was so bad.
- 4:53Speaker 2: And then I had totally forgot about it. But you
- 4:56Speaker 2: know what? I was like, yeah, let's do it. And so...
- 4:58Speaker 2: We do this thing, and I'm so curious, Josh, if
- 5:01Speaker 2: guys are the same. But for me, I felt like
- 5:04Speaker 2: the Love is Blind season premiere and us getting excited
- 5:06Speaker 2: about it together and talking about it together and essentially
- 5:09Speaker 2: watching it together, I am curious, or I think that
- 5:14Speaker 2: Love is Blind season premiere is, for us, the start
- 5:17Speaker 2: of football for you.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Oh, I could see that for sure.
- 5:20Speaker 2: And then now I'm keeping track of the episodes and
- 5:23Speaker 2: I'm keeping track of the contestants.
- 5:25Speaker 1: That's actually a very fair comp because I feel like
- 5:27Speaker 1: it's the same thing. All of the boys, you know,
- 5:30Speaker 1: the boys get together for the start of football season.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Not only are we doing our fantasy drafts, you know,
- 5:34Speaker 1: to start the season, but we're also texting each other like, yo,
- 5:37Speaker 1: did you see this one play? Did you see that
- 5:38Speaker 1: guy get drilled? Hey, what a touchdown catch. Like, we
- 5:41Speaker 1: are all collectively... kind of watching together.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Okay, so you are, and you guys are communicating, texting
- 5:47Speaker 2: each other?
- 5:48Speaker 1: Absolutely, yes.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Okay, because that's what I wasn't sure because- All day long.
- 5:51Speaker 2: With me and my nieces, and then I had another
- 5:53Speaker 2: friend here locally in Denver too, it was the four
- 5:55Speaker 2: of us created a group chat to watch Love is
- 5:58Speaker 2: Blind season 11. It's taking place in Boston.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Okay.
- 6:03Speaker 2: And we were just texting each other the whole time.
- 6:05Speaker 2: I like her, I don't like him. She's super pretty.
- 6:09Speaker 2: This guy, eh, I don't know. He's coming off like
- 6:12Speaker 2: too much. That's so funny. And we were just texting
- 6:15Speaker 2: the entire, like a live text throughout the entire show.
- 6:19Speaker 2: We literally were like, okay, count of three. We're all
- 6:22Speaker 2: going to hit play.
- 6:22Speaker 1: One, two, three. Oh, my gosh. See, that's so funny.
- 6:25Speaker 1: We do the same thing where it's essentially red zone.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Red zone is kind of where you can watch all
- 6:29Speaker 1: of the games at the same time a little bit.
- 6:30Speaker 1: They're showing, you know, touchdowns and things like that. And
- 6:33Speaker 1: we'll do the same thing. We're like, what is Joe
- 6:35Speaker 1: Burrow doing? What a horrible interception. Why can't so-and-so run
- 6:39Speaker 1: up the middle? What a horrible interception. Things like that.
- 6:43Speaker 1: So that's funny that you kind of do the same thing.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I've never thought about that. I feel like as guys,
- 6:48Speaker 1: we always just are watching collectively the same sports. So
- 6:51Speaker 1: I can text them and be like, hey, are you
- 6:52Speaker 1: watching the Texans game? They'll say, yeah, absolutely.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Right.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And then you can say whatever you need to say
- 6:56Speaker 2: about it.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Totally follow along with it, right? Yeah. Nina, we do
- 6:59Speaker 1: that for everything, so it's not just football. Really? Once
- 7:02Speaker 1: hockey season starts, once the NBA season starts. Because that's like,
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'm not saying that's all guys have. I understand. There
- 7:07Speaker 1: is much more to life than just watching sports. I
- 7:09Speaker 1: get that. Yes. collectively, that is probably the largest thing
- 7:15Speaker 1: that I could text any of my friends and just
- 7:17Speaker 1: be like, hey, are you watching so-and-so's game? They say yes,
- 7:20Speaker 1: and then we can talk about anything.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Wait, that's actually so cute, because I just didn't know
- 7:24Speaker 2: that the boys were at home texting each other about
- 7:26Speaker 2: their little sports game.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Yeah, we're laying on the couch, kicking our feet up
- 7:29Speaker 1: in the air behind us, talking sports. Absolutely.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I love that so much. For me,
- 7:34Speaker 2: it's love is blind. For you, it's football.
- 7:36Speaker 1: So cute.
- 7:36Speaker 2: I love that for us. Three things you need to
- 7:38Speaker 2: know before you go into the office, and I'm going
- 7:40Speaker 2: to try not to cry telling you about this, but
- 7:43Speaker 2: this 10-year-old small little white dog was lost in Yellowstone
- 7:48Speaker 2: National Park for a month, and he was just found alive.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 7:53Speaker 2: So this is a place, we're talking grizzly bears, wolves.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Cliffs that just drop hundreds of feet, okay? This place
- 8:00Speaker 2: is a nightmare.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Not to mention geysers trying to blow you sky high.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Buffalo that are just going to stomp on this little dog.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Everything wants to kill you there.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Yes, 100%. But Luna the dog was finally captured. Oh
- 8:14Speaker 2: my gosh, this is the part that gets me. With
- 8:16Speaker 2: treats and a t-shirt from their owner that smells like
- 8:20Speaker 2: the owner... And I am so convinced that it was
- 8:22Speaker 2: not the treats that lured her in, that it was
- 8:25Speaker 2: indeed the clothes. It was the scent. Okay, here's why. Because...
- 8:29Speaker 2: I'm getting emotional.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:30Speaker 2: So the staff, they knew that this had happened. They've
- 8:33Speaker 2: been on the lookout at Yellowstone to find Luna and
- 8:35Speaker 2: they saw her around the park and they were just
- 8:38Speaker 2: trying to catch her, but she kept running away. And
- 8:40Speaker 2: so they were the, they found out that Luna was
- 8:43Speaker 2: retracing their owner's steps into lodges, restaurants that they went to,
- 8:48Speaker 2: trails they were on.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Like I am Nina, do you know what this is?
- 8:54Speaker 1: This is real life. Well, yes.
- 8:55Speaker 2: True love.
- 8:56Speaker 1: This is real life Homeward Bound. Did you ever watch
- 8:59Speaker 1: that movie back in the day? This is what happens.
- 9:02Speaker 1: They retrace their steps.
- 9:03Speaker 2: It's so cute.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Do we know what kind of dog this is?
- 9:06Speaker 2: A little fluffy adopted dog that they adopted him when
- 9:10Speaker 2: he was one years old. I don't know.
- 9:12Speaker 1: My Lord. A little mutt. That's the cutest thing I've
- 9:14Speaker 1: ever heard in my life. I know.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I'm in love with Luna. Luna's 10 years old, small
- 9:19Speaker 2: little white dog got out of their hotel at Yellowstone
- 9:23Speaker 2: and was missing for a month in like the most
- 9:25Speaker 2: dangerous place for a domestic dog ever.
- 9:28Speaker 1: There's going to be a Homeward Bound 3 about little Luna.
- 9:30Speaker 1: That is wild.
- 9:32Speaker 2: So cute.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Lost in Yellowstone.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I'm so happy that Luna was found.
- 9:36Speaker 1: That's all. Yes, absolutely. That's a beautiful story with a
- 9:39Speaker 1: happy ending. We love it.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It is, and I'm not okay.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, that's awesome.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Go ahead, Josh.
- 9:43Speaker 1: All right, Nino. Okay, we'll get some tissues for you.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 9:46Speaker 1: All right, well, this will absolutely not make you cry.
- 9:49Speaker 1: This is the weirdest story that you and I have
- 9:51Speaker 1: ever read, heard in our lifetime. A very long time
- 9:56Speaker 1: professor at Macalester College in Minnesota, he facing some weird
- 10:01Speaker 1: felony charges after allegedly Ew.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yikes.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Ew. and returned to find it absolutely soaked in urine.
- 10:32Speaker 2: How did he do this on purpose?
- 10:35Speaker 1: Yeah, so hold on. Bear with me here. Fisher was
- 10:38Speaker 1: the only person nearby, and campus safety staff has now
- 10:42Speaker 1: linked him to six other on-campus urinating incidents.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Bruh.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Okay, so he said that he has admitted that he
- 10:50Speaker 1: has developed a habit of urinating into a cup and
- 10:54Speaker 1: then disposing of it improperly. I think he just, pees
- 10:59Speaker 1: on backpacks. I don't think he pees in a cup
- 11:01Speaker 1: and then just accidentally pours it over a backpack. This
- 11:04Speaker 1: dude has a weird fetish. The student actually suffered over $ 2, 000
- 11:09Speaker 1: in damages. I would expect that the laptop is broken
- 11:11Speaker 1: and the books and other things.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Of course, and everything's covered in someone else's urine.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Which, by the way, just think of the smell, first
- 11:18Speaker 1: of all. Disgusting. He's gonna have to go and appear
- 11:22Speaker 1: in court and during this investigation, he is now going
- 11:25Speaker 1: to appear in court in early November, Nina. One of
- 11:28Speaker 1: the weirdest things. If you're the student, you gotta sue, right?
- 11:32Speaker 1: You have to do this.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I would think so. And what's interesting, Josh, is I
- 11:36Speaker 2: heard about this story. And coincidentally, yesterday, I did an
- 11:40Speaker 2: interview with Tom Papa, who we're giving away his tickets
- 11:43Speaker 2: at 9 o'clock today.
- 11:44Speaker 1: We are.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Because he is going to be at the Paramount next
- 11:47Speaker 2: Saturday filming a Netflix special, by the way.
- 11:50Speaker 1: No way.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Yes. And I asked Tom Papa about this story.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I had to.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Why?
- 11:58Speaker 2: And I asked him, I said, you know, if you
- 12:00Speaker 2: were the student, do you find this as your potential
- 12:04Speaker 2: to just quickly make a buck? Do you sue? What
- 12:07Speaker 2: would you do, Tom Papa? And here's what he said.
- 12:09Speaker 3: I wouldn't sue, but I wouldn't let it go. I
- 12:13Speaker 3: would use it to my advantage. I think, just the
- 12:17Speaker 3: fact that we're talking about it, I would think of
- 12:19Speaker 3: my own socials, and I would try and catch him
- 12:22Speaker 3: in the act. and then post it and watch my
- 12:26Speaker 3: followers just explode.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Catch him in the act? Tom!
- 12:30Speaker 2: Smart guy, though, because he's talking about his influencer lifestyle.
- 12:35Speaker 2: You might as well get the follows because you could
- 12:37Speaker 2: make so much money as an influencer now.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Well, and if you sue, you're going to make a
- 12:41Speaker 1: hard amount of cash, let's say for $ 10, 000 or whatever, where, however,
- 12:44Speaker 1: if you blow up on social... The amount of money
- 12:47Speaker 1: you can make is unlimited.
- 12:49Speaker 2: It's insane.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Brilliant.
- 12:51Speaker 2: And then here's what else Tom Papa had to say
- 12:53Speaker 2: about this guy.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Oh, well, that's just, oh, my. Everybody should get an
- 12:56Speaker 3: A because this guy does not know what he's doing.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Agree.
- 13:00Speaker 1: He's peeing on backpacks.
- 13:01Speaker 2: That's sick. What a freak. So A's for everyone who's
- 13:05Speaker 2: ever taken that man's class.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Well, and you know what? I think they're all going
- 13:08Speaker 1: to get A's because he's been fired. So they're like, hey,
- 13:10Speaker 1: we're just going to pass you. Well, good.
- 13:12Speaker 2: You know what? Good. He needs to be let go.
- 13:14Speaker 2: That is not okay. That's insane.
- 13:16Speaker 1: We'll see if he actually gets off with these or
- 13:20Speaker 1: gets charged with these, too.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yeah, for real. Go check out my interview with Tom Papa.
- 13:24Speaker 2: It is up on YouTube at Mix 100 Denver. I
- 13:27Speaker 2: put that up yesterday after talking with Tom Papa and
- 13:29Speaker 2: sharing this story with him. He ended everything with this.
- 13:34Speaker 3: So disturbing. Well, thank you for ruining my morning.
- 13:36Speaker 2: You're welcome. I hope we didn't ruin everyone else's morning
- 13:40Speaker 2: with that one.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Oh, no, you totally did.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I definitely did. And then really quick, the third thing
- 13:45Speaker 2: you need to know, the city unveiled plans for Burnham
- 13:48Speaker 2: Yard neighborhood ahead of the new Bronco Stadium yesterday, and
- 13:51Speaker 2: the neighborhood representatives say they are actually really liking this plan.
- 13:55Speaker 2: They feel heard. They feel seen. And so the Burnham
- 13:58Speaker 2: Yard area plan is going to cover all sorts of
- 14:01Speaker 2: stuff like transportation, retail and entertainment develop, and strategies to
- 14:05Speaker 2: keep housing affordable. The city said... One of the main
- 14:08Speaker 2: priorities is to prevent displacement of people and businesses that
- 14:13Speaker 2: are already there. And as long as they keep that promise,
- 14:16Speaker 2: shouldn't be an issue.
- 14:17Speaker 1: No, I love that. I mean, that gets me so
- 14:20Speaker 1: excited for this new Broncos stadium, along with everything that's
- 14:23Speaker 1: going to come with it. It's just revamping a major
- 14:26Speaker 1: part of Denver that needs it. Burnham Yards is a
- 14:29Speaker 1: very old part.
- 14:30Speaker 2: It is.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Of the Denver area.
- 14:31Speaker 2: It's underdeveloped.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Completely. And so I love that they are willing to
- 14:35Speaker 1: work with everybody who's already been there probably for decades.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:38Speaker 1: And that they're not just trying to kind of steamroll everybody.
- 14:41Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 14:41Speaker 2: For sure. And listen, I'm very happy about it too
- 14:44Speaker 2: because I don't live in that neighborhood, but I live
- 14:46Speaker 2: nearby and I'm excited for my house value to go up.
- 14:49Speaker 3: So.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Selfishly.
- 14:50Speaker 2: There you go. That's Know Before You Go on Mixed 100. Josh,
- 14:55Speaker 2: typically after the show ends for you and I, it's
- 14:58Speaker 2: like we have the whole day ahead of us. And
- 15:01Speaker 2: today I feel so optimistic about that actually being my
- 15:04Speaker 2: reality today because I got a decent night's sleep last night.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, the world's your oyster right now. Oh, for real. Absolutely.
- 15:11Speaker 2: I mean, I'm going to crash at probably 11 a.m. today.
- 15:14Speaker 1: That's usually when it happens.
- 15:15Speaker 2: But I really do. I had a good night's sleep
- 15:18Speaker 2: for the first time in a really long time, and
- 15:20Speaker 2: I truly feel like I can take on the world.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, what errands do I need to go
- 15:25Speaker 2: and take care of today that I just haven't been
- 15:28Speaker 2: able to? So that's on the agenda for me later
- 15:31Speaker 2: on today. You know, it's going to be cloudy. It's
- 15:33Speaker 2: going to be a little maybe more rainy today. I'm like,
- 15:36Speaker 2: you know what? Perfect day to just go run some
- 15:38Speaker 2: errands and get stuff out of the way. But that's
- 15:41Speaker 2: something that kind of you took care of yesterday.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Yeah. So I was kind of in your shoes yesterday
- 15:46Speaker 1: where I was like, you know what? I'm actually I'm
- 15:48Speaker 1: not tired. I feel pretty good. I'm going to go
- 15:49Speaker 1: out and kind of do some grocery shopping. I got
- 15:52Speaker 1: that done.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:53Speaker 1: And I got that done. And it wasn't too busy out,
- 15:55Speaker 1: which that's the one nice thing about our job is
- 15:58Speaker 1: we can get a lot of errands done while everybody
- 16:00Speaker 1: else is kind of at work. So it's not too
- 16:02Speaker 1: busy out. So I was like, okay, I'm going to
- 16:03Speaker 1: do a couple things. And the other day I ordered
- 16:06Speaker 1: some pants. And instead of shipping them to me, they
- 16:09Speaker 1: were like, hey, we will ship them free to the store.
- 16:11Speaker 1: And we will, you just have to pick them up.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I was like, absolutely, that's awesome.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I do that all the time because it's cheaper. It's free,
- 16:18Speaker 2: shipped to the store. You just pick it up rather
- 16:20Speaker 2: than if it's shipped to your house, you have to
- 16:21Speaker 2: pay $ 5, $ 10.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I'm like, that's stupid. The store is like four minutes
- 16:25Speaker 1: from my house anyway. So I'm like, sure, whatever, I'll
- 16:27Speaker 1: do that.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Perfect.
- 16:28Speaker 1: So they said that these pants were supposed to be
- 16:31Speaker 1: there and ready on Monday. And I had just been
- 16:34Speaker 1: so busy, I was like, I haven't picked them up,
- 16:35Speaker 1: and then yesterday was Wednesday, I'm like, oh crap, I
- 16:37Speaker 1: gotta get my pants. So I go there, I go
- 16:39Speaker 1: to the store, I have an email, by the way,
- 16:41Speaker 1: this is the main thing, I have an email saying
- 16:43Speaker 1: they are ready for pickup, okay? That's the main thing.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So I go in, wait in this long line trying
- 16:49Speaker 1: to talk to the representative, trying.
- 16:51Speaker 2: To talk to somebody.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, and I'm like, hey, I have an email,
- 16:54Speaker 1: it says that my pants are ready to be picked up,
- 16:56Speaker 1: and she looks at them, and she's like, okay, your
- 17:00Speaker 1: pants are here, She goes, they actually got in today.
- 17:03Speaker 1: And I was like, okay, that's awesome. Great, doesn't matter.
- 17:06Speaker 1: So I'm still here. Let me pick them up. She goes, well,
- 17:09Speaker 1: they haven't been processed yet, so you can come back
- 17:11Speaker 1: tomorrow and get your pants.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 17:16Speaker 1: What the F? What is that? Oh, no. What does
- 17:19Speaker 1: that mean? My pants are there, physically in the store.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I can go get them. I have paid the money
- 17:25Speaker 1: to get these pants already.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Right. You have a confirmation email saying, come pick them
- 17:30Speaker 2: up at the store.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I have an email.
- 17:31Speaker 2: That's enough for me.
- 17:32Speaker 1: We're here, buddy. Get us. Why do they have to
- 17:36Speaker 1: be processed? I ask. I'm like, well, they're here. Like,
- 17:39Speaker 1: just go process them yourself.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Go do that. I'm pretty sure all they need to
- 17:42Speaker 2: do is, like, scan two barcodes, put it in their system,
- 17:45Speaker 2: and be done, right?
- 17:46Speaker 1: I'm like, can you not go to the back and
- 17:47Speaker 1: just get them? Like, if they're here, she's like, well, no,
- 17:50Speaker 1: they have to go through. She just kept saying processing. And, like, okay. Oh, no, no, no.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Nothing against her. She was very helpful. She was not rude.
- 17:57Speaker 1: She was a little bit of an older lady. So
- 18:00Speaker 1: maybe she just.
- 18:02Speaker 2: She didn't want to deal with it.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Maybe that. And that's fine. I get that. There's a
- 18:05Speaker 1: lot of stuff I don't want to deal with either.
- 18:06Speaker 1: So I'm not mad at her. I'm mad at this process.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Speaking of processing. Right. I'm mad at the whole process
- 18:13Speaker 1: because I got the email saying, come pick it up.
- 18:15Speaker 1: They were supposed to be there at that point two
- 18:18Speaker 1: days ago.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Two days ago. How were they not processed yet?
- 18:20Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 18:21Speaker 2: And you have a confirmation email saying, go ahead, pick
- 18:23Speaker 2: them up. No.
- 18:24Speaker 1: And the other thing.
- 18:25Speaker 2: I would be so mad.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I'm in the building. They're in the building. Just give
- 18:28Speaker 1: them to me.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Just give them. And no, but I got to go today.
- 18:31Speaker 1: So I'm going to go today and get my pants.
- 18:33Speaker 2: So you left without your pants yesterday. You said, okay,
- 18:37Speaker 2: I'll just come back tomorrow.
- 18:38Speaker 1: This wonderful lady was like, process, process. And I was like, okay. Dude,
- 18:43Speaker 1: what are you talking about? And so, no, I did not.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I walked empty-handed.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. Josh, we have given Kelly Clarkson so
- 18:49Speaker 2: much flack the few... past few days about being a Karen,
- 18:53Speaker 2: I would have been the biggest Karen ever in that store.
- 18:57Speaker 2: If you are sending me a confirmation email from two
- 19:01Speaker 2: days ago saying that my pants are there, you can
- 19:04Speaker 2: come pick them up, and then I'm not able to?
- 19:08Speaker 1: No, you can bet my friends heard me curse this
- 19:11Speaker 1: store out, but I'm too nice to ever cause a scene.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I'm just like, I'm just gonna walk out empty-handed, I guess. Okay,
- 19:21Speaker 1: sounds good.
- 19:22Speaker 2: That's it. You and I, we're both going to the
- 19:24Speaker 2: store today after the show. That's it. So Halle Berry
- 19:28Speaker 2: going through a nasty custody battle with her ex-husband Oliver
- 19:32Speaker 2: Martinez right now over their 13-year-old son. and Hallie was
- 19:36Speaker 2: accused of physically abusing her son after an argument with
- 19:40Speaker 2: a virtual reality game, and a restraining order was put
- 19:43Speaker 2: into place. Yeah, all of this started because of a
- 19:45Speaker 2: video game.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm not laughing at the accusation.
- 19:49Speaker 2: It's just like such a, a 13-year-old teenage boy to
- 19:51Speaker 2: get into an argument with your mom over, you know?
- 19:53Speaker 1: No, literally, mom, give me my headset back. Mom!
- 19:55Speaker 2: Exactly!
- 19:56Speaker 1: Where are the pizza rolls?
- 19:57Speaker 2: And so because of that, Hallie is actually trying to
- 20:01Speaker 2: get a judge not to let her son testify in
- 20:04Speaker 2: this case. Because she feels very much like the typical
- 20:08Speaker 2: parenting pit is happening. Like mom's the bad guy, dad's
- 20:12Speaker 2: more lenient, and he's the good guy. And because the
- 20:16Speaker 2: dad was able to get that restraining order put into place,
- 20:20Speaker 2: that Hallie says that he is now coaching their son
- 20:23Speaker 2: on what to say against her. And so Halle's asking
- 20:27Speaker 2: that her 13-year-old son does not testify in court. But
- 20:32Speaker 2: a judge just rules that, yeah, he can testify.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 20:36Speaker 2: So this is not looking great for Halle Berry. And,
- 20:39Speaker 2: I mean, who knows what actually happened behind closed doors.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Halle says that she did not physically abuse her son.
- 20:45Speaker 2: There's no proof of it. She would never do that.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Et cetera, et cetera. Well, and her daughter even came out.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Her daughter came out and was like, she didn't do this, right? Yeah.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that is. Her daughter did claim that as well.
- 20:53Speaker 2: So I don't know. But it's not looking great for
- 20:55Speaker 2: Hallie right now because her ex-husband, Oliver Martinez, he's like
- 20:59Speaker 2: he's winning all the small things he needs to win
- 21:01Speaker 2: in court before they go in for like the big one.
- 21:04Speaker 2: You know?
- 21:04Speaker 1: I mean, yeah. Yeah. It's just. That's a sad situation,
- 21:07Speaker 1: because if she truly didn't do this, and yet the
- 21:10Speaker 1: 13-year-old son, who, let's be honest, I mean, he's not
- 21:12Speaker 1: really thinking for himself if he's being coached. Yeah. Like,
- 21:15Speaker 1: if she did do this.
- 21:16Speaker 2: On what to say.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Yeah, if she did do this, obviously that's horrific, and honestly,
- 21:20Speaker 1: she should be separated. You do not beat your children. No, no, no, no.
- 21:22Speaker 1: But if she didn't, And her son is just lying
- 21:25Speaker 1: because maybe the dad is more lenient. And he's like, hey,
- 21:27Speaker 1: I can get away with more with my dad. That's awful.
- 21:29Speaker 1: That's a heartbreaking situation.
- 21:31Speaker 2: It truly is. So we'll just have to wait and
- 21:34Speaker 2: see what happens in court for Halle Berry. Geez.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I guess we'll see what happens. All right, Mattel.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I love this announcement. Mattel is creating a new Barbie.
- 21:43Speaker 1: The signature doll is going to be honoring Mattel. singer
- 21:46Speaker 1: Celine Dion. And this is so cute. So it's going
- 21:49Speaker 1: to be priced at around 60 bucks. Pre-orders are now available.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Shipping is going to be expected in December. So it
- 21:56Speaker 1: might be in time for Christmas, might be a little
- 21:57Speaker 1: bit afterwards. But the doll has recreated Celine Dion's 1998
- 22:01Speaker 1: Oscar Awards look. And this was the time that she
- 22:04Speaker 1: was really, really big, especially with the Titanic. So get this.
- 22:09Speaker 1: It is featuring a navy blue turtleneck dress with the
- 22:12Speaker 1: replica of Heart of the Ocean diamond necklace around her neck.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I think that is so cool.
- 22:19Speaker 2: That is cool. So this is for all the Celine
- 22:21Speaker 2: Dion fans, for the Barbie fans, and for the Titanic fans.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Absolutely. Yeah, this is like check, check, check. Honestly, it's
- 22:29Speaker 1: so funny. Of all the music I listen to and love,
- 22:32Speaker 1: I love me some Celine Dion. Yes! I drive my
- 22:36Speaker 1: car every time that song comes on. I will turn
- 22:39Speaker 1: that up. She is awesome. I like her. I love
- 22:42Speaker 1: her voice. I mean, she's one of the best singers
- 22:44Speaker 1: of all time, right? I mean, truly, truly. She has
- 22:47Speaker 1: to be. And then on top of that, look, I
- 22:49Speaker 1: love a good, I'm not saying it's a rom-com, but
- 22:51Speaker 1: I love a good romance movie, The Titanic. Yeah. Come on,
- 22:54Speaker 1: it's three hours of me crying. So I like that.
- 22:57Speaker 1: I might buy this for my girlfriend or something.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Or for myself.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I was going to say, is it for her or
- 23:01Speaker 2: is it actually for you?
- 23:02Speaker 1: I've never had a Barbie, okay? Maybe I want one.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Boys can have Barbies.
- 23:06Speaker 1: That's okay. Yeah, absolutely. So that's cool. It's coming out
- 23:08Speaker 1: in December.
- 23:09Speaker 2: I love that. And Dolly Parton's nephew is firing back
- 23:12Speaker 2: at these allegations that he threatened people on Dolly's team,
- 23:15Speaker 2: saying that those text messages, nah, those were taken out
- 23:19Speaker 2: of context.
- 23:20Speaker 1: I'm going to kill you. No, literally. Out of context, bro.
- 23:23Speaker 2: So his name, Brian Seaver, he's denying claims that he
- 23:26Speaker 2: threatened Dolly's manager. In fact, he says... He's my best friend.
- 23:30Speaker 2: We're really good friends. And we were just texting back
- 23:33Speaker 2: and forth about current frustrations and money that he was owed.
- 23:37Speaker 2: And those text messages were taken completely out of context.
- 23:41Speaker 2: And Brian maintains that he never intended to harm anyone.
- 23:46Speaker 2: He says that he doesn't want a dispute, or he
- 23:49Speaker 2: doesn't want the dispute to damage Dolly's legacy. All of
- 23:53Speaker 2: this that's already going on right now. And so he's
- 23:55Speaker 2: already feeling, I guess, some remorse for everything that's going on.
- 23:58Speaker 2: But he's- I don't know, I feel like he's also
- 24:00Speaker 2: trying to save face because I saw those text messages.
- 24:03Speaker 2: That's not.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Yeah, when those got released, bad look.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Bad look!
- 24:07Speaker 1: But also, like, I don't know, I'm sure there's a
- 24:11Speaker 1: lot of arguments that people have also been in where
- 24:13Speaker 1: if their text got leaked too, they'd be painted in
- 24:15Speaker 1: a really bad light as well, you know? That's true.
- 24:17Speaker 1: So I get it. And I do like that he
- 24:18Speaker 1: is saying, even if it is for saving face, I
- 24:20Speaker 1: do like that he's saying he's not trying to tarnish
- 24:22Speaker 1: or taint Dolly's image.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Yeah, because that's what we were worried about.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Absolutely. Dolly lived her entire life as an angel, okay? Right, right.
- 24:28Speaker 1: And so for him to kind of just go off
- 24:30Speaker 1: the deep end two weeks after her death is not
- 24:33Speaker 1: a good look. So I like that he's kind of
- 24:34Speaker 1: backtracking a little bit, but we'll see if he means
- 24:36Speaker 1: it or not.
- 24:37Speaker 2: We'll see. Three things you need to know before you
- 24:39Speaker 2: go into the office today. Like a couple weeks ago,
- 24:42Speaker 2: it was announced down in Cripple Creek, that they are
- 24:45Speaker 2: not going to be doing the ice castles this year.
- 24:48Speaker 2: And now it is official. No ice castles are coming
- 24:53Speaker 2: up anywhere in the state of Colorado this year.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Are you serious? Yeah.
- 24:57Speaker 2: So it's officially not happening up in Silverthorne. That's the
- 25:00Speaker 2: other location. So they have not explicitly said that it
- 25:05Speaker 2: is because of the lack of snow the past few years.
- 25:09Speaker 1: But.
- 25:10Speaker 2: they've said like operational and business considerations. And we all
- 25:14Speaker 2: know that part of the reason is because of the
- 25:16Speaker 2: lack of snow, the warmer temperatures, all of that. And
- 25:19Speaker 2: quite frankly, it's a lot of water to build up
- 25:22Speaker 2: these ice castles. And we don't got that either.
- 25:24Speaker 1: That makes me so sad. First of all, because I've
- 25:27Speaker 1: been to those and the ice castles are such a
- 25:29Speaker 1: cool event to go to even have these little slides
- 25:32Speaker 1: that you can go down. I mean, it's just, it's,
- 25:34Speaker 1: you're literally in a castle made of ice.
- 25:35Speaker 2: It's, Like Elsa's dream. It's so cool.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Well, I guess we'll have to let it go, Nina. Oh, stop!
- 25:43Speaker 2: No, that was good. That was pretty good. But I
- 25:45Speaker 2: will say that they are hoping to bring it back
- 25:47Speaker 2: in the future. It's just not in the cards this year.
- 25:49Speaker 1: It's such a bummer. Hopefully we get like 17 feet
- 25:52Speaker 1: of snow this year and we can have it next year.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Let's do it.
- 25:55Speaker 1: All right. This is an interesting story. And I just
- 25:58Speaker 1: don't think that we should keep pushing the robots because...
- 26:02Speaker 1: I've seen too many movies. I've seen way too many
- 26:04Speaker 1: movies about how bad robots are for us. Well, German
- 26:07Speaker 1: authorities have now launched an investigation after a robot groped
- 26:13Speaker 1: a female in public. The roughly four foot tall robot,
- 26:17Speaker 1: which get this dressed in a tank top. sweatpants, gold chain,
- 26:20Speaker 1: and fake mustache. Grabbed a woman's buttocks and made some
- 26:27Speaker 1: interesting movements towards her. They say the robot was apprehended, essentially.
- 26:33Speaker 1: It wasn't, it was just taken away. It's a robot.
- 26:37Speaker 1: It's not a being, you can't throw it into jail.
- 26:40Speaker 1: But they took it away and the two people that
- 26:42Speaker 1: are in charge of it was a 16-year-old man and
- 26:45Speaker 1: a 19-year-old companion. They were reportedly live streaming when this
- 26:50Speaker 1: incident happened, so many people saw it. The spokesperson confirmed
- 26:54Speaker 1: that they weren't charged for it, but they are in
- 26:57Speaker 1: trouble because they're the owners of the robot?
- 27:00Speaker 2: So I think the question on this case is were
- 27:03Speaker 2: they actually doing making the robot do what it was
- 27:06Speaker 2: doing to grope this girl.
- 27:08Speaker 1: That's why they're suspects. Right.
- 27:10Speaker 2: And one minor point, because I heard about this story
- 27:13Speaker 2: that I do want to point out, it wasn't a woman.
- 27:16Speaker 2: This was a 16-year-old minor female.
- 27:18Speaker 1: It's a minor. And that's a horrific look, first of all.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Not cool.
- 27:23Speaker 1: It's a bad look to do what it did to
- 27:25Speaker 1: any person, man or woman. But the fact that it
- 27:27Speaker 1: was a 16-year-old girl is even worse. That's not... That
- 27:31Speaker 1: is not a good look at all.
- 27:32Speaker 2: And then you said a 17 and a 19-year-old kid
- 27:35Speaker 2: were in charge of the robot?
- 27:36Speaker 1: Yes. So the 16-year-old and the 19-year-old were the ones
- 27:39Speaker 1: filming and live streaming this incident. Oh, okay. It was
- 27:42Speaker 1: near a fast food restaurant. Anyway, they are being questioned.
- 27:44Speaker 1: They're not in custody right now. They're not being charged
- 27:47Speaker 1: with anything yet. Yeah. But if they were the ones
- 27:49Speaker 1: in control, I'm sure that will absolutely be changed here.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Not cool. But again, I... Robots scare the heck out
- 27:56Speaker 1: of me. Again, I've seen so many movies, iRobot comes
- 27:58Speaker 1: to mind right away. They just turn bad. And we
- 28:02Speaker 1: still keep pushing them. We're like, oh, they're going to
- 28:04Speaker 1: do so many good things for us. I'm like, dude,
- 28:07Speaker 1: they're going to kill us at some point.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Can we stop with the robots?
- 28:10Speaker 1: I don't like it. And I think this is just
- 28:11Speaker 1: step one of us hopefully going away from that movement.
- 28:15Speaker 2: We'll see about that. An update on the man in
- 28:19Speaker 2: Georgia who fell out of a seat on a roller
- 28:21Speaker 2: coaster and passed away. So the investigations are now beginning
- 28:25Speaker 2: and it's not looking good for Six Flags. So a
- 28:27Speaker 2: visitor from last month at that same park. shared a
- 28:31Speaker 2: video online showing major delays on this ride, the Goliath,
- 28:36Speaker 2: and said a month ago that they were not letting
- 28:39Speaker 2: people on this ride because one of the cars was
- 28:42Speaker 2: having problems with the seat opening up.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Oh no.
- 28:45Speaker 2: And they are claiming that the park knew that this
- 28:48Speaker 2: ride was dangerous and they continued to let people on
- 28:51Speaker 2: it anyway. And the man who passed away, Hassan Karim,
- 28:55Speaker 2: his family is going to be moving forward with suing
- 28:58Speaker 2: the park as they should.
- 29:00Speaker 1: You have to. As they should. Especially now if it's
- 29:03Speaker 1: showing that it's just negligence and they're allowing people to
- 29:05Speaker 1: go on a broken chair. Yeah. That's a horrific look.
- 29:08Speaker 2: That is terrible.
- 29:10Speaker 1: I mean, a person lost their life because of you.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 29:13Speaker 1: If it is that, again, this is all, you know,
- 29:15Speaker 1: if they tried to fix it last month and stuff,
- 29:17Speaker 1: that's fine, but. If they were just negligent to that
- 29:20Speaker 1: and didn't fix a seat and now someone has passed
- 29:22Speaker 1: away because of that, you should shut the park down.
- 29:24Speaker 2: The fact that now we have video evidence of people
- 29:27Speaker 2: showing that that was the reason why there was delays
- 29:29Speaker 2: a month ago and now this happened is just awful. So,
- 29:34Speaker 2: Hasan Karim, the man who passed away, his family is
- 29:37Speaker 2: going to be moving forward with suing. They're also putting
- 29:39Speaker 2: a message out. out there to a lot of people
- 29:41Speaker 2: who are following this case. A few things. Number one,
- 29:44Speaker 2: there is a photo of Hassan that's circulating around the Internet.
- 29:48Speaker 2: They are begging and pleading for people to please stop
- 29:52Speaker 2: sharing it. They're trying to stop that right now. That
- 29:54Speaker 2: is their loved one. Please don't share that. They're also
- 29:57Speaker 2: putting out a warning to people about fake GoFundMes for
- 30:00Speaker 2: the family. They said they do not have a GoFundMe
- 30:03Speaker 2: from their actual family at all. There is nothing. People
- 30:06Speaker 2: want to donate, which is nice, and that is very,
- 30:09Speaker 2: very nice, but these scammers, these fake people are putting
- 30:12Speaker 2: up these fake GoFundMes, and the family themselves are saying, no,
- 30:15Speaker 2: we're not taking money. We don't have one. We don't
- 30:18Speaker 2: need your money. Thank you so much for your well
- 30:20Speaker 2: wishes and wanting to contribute to our family. But you're
- 30:23Speaker 2: being scammed. Do not donate because they're not collecting anything
- 30:26Speaker 2: right now.
- 30:26Speaker 1: How disgusting is this world that we live in where
- 30:29Speaker 1: people try to use a tragic event like that to, A,
- 30:32Speaker 1: make money on their own by creating fake GoFundMes or
- 30:35Speaker 1: do these other things like posting the picture of Hassan,
- 30:38Speaker 1: which is disgusting. I hate that so much. Like, I just,
- 30:42Speaker 1: it bothers me so much that this is the world
- 30:44Speaker 1: that we live in now, but it's the internet world.
- 30:46Speaker 1: That's just what we do. It is.
- 30:48Speaker 2: It's unfortunate, but it's also a reminder that we can
- 30:50Speaker 2: be a better person. You don't have to be that person.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Earlier this month, Josh, we just got really excited about Halloween.
- 30:58Speaker 2: We gave our thoughts on some creative custom costumes that
- 31:03Speaker 2: you could try out here. Very Denver-esque. but I think
- 31:08Speaker 2: now the list of actual trending costumes has come out
- 31:12Speaker 2: now that we are halfway through the month, we're halfway
- 31:14Speaker 2: to Halloween, and people have actually started to put some
- 31:17Speaker 2: real thought into it. And the list is interesting, I
- 31:21Speaker 2: feel like it is, all over the place.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Okay, that's good, right? I mean, we don't want just
- 31:26Speaker 1: one theme to see at all the Halloween parties, right? Yeah, no,
- 31:29Speaker 1: for sure.
- 31:29Speaker 2: I think a popular one this year when it comes
- 31:32Speaker 2: to the celebrities, Dolly Parton is gonna be huge.
- 31:36Speaker 1: We talked about that earlier, so that's good. I'm glad
- 31:38Speaker 1: that we're on par, right?
- 31:39Speaker 2: Yes, exactly. Dolly Parton is gonna be a popular one.
- 31:42Speaker 2: I think Michael Jackson is also going to be a
- 31:44Speaker 2: popular one because of the movie that came out.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Well, yeah, and his thriller. I mean, thriller's always, always,
- 31:50Speaker 1: always popular in October.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Exactly. Yeah.
- 31:54Speaker 1: 100%.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Dr. Frankenfurter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show is definitely
- 31:59Speaker 2: going to be a popular one. It's always a popular one,
- 32:01Speaker 2: but because Tim Curry had just passed away, I think
- 32:05Speaker 2: that people will be reviving that character out.
- 32:07Speaker 1: On the streets. I'm looking at this list now, too.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Kenny Rogers.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Why?
- 32:11Speaker 1: Why? Just because?
- 32:13Speaker 2: That's so random to be on this list right now.
- 32:15Speaker 1: I know. It's literally like Dolly Parton, Bowser, Green Lantern,
- 32:19Speaker 1: Michael Jackson, Kenny Rogers. That's so random. Is there a
- 32:23Speaker 1: reference to him that we're missing? I don't know. Hold on.
- 32:27Speaker 1: If there is, text us. 303-691-1649. Is there a reference
- 32:29Speaker 1: to Kenny Rogers as to why a billion people want
- 32:32Speaker 1: to dress up like him?
- 32:32Speaker 2: He's trending right now for Halloween costumes, and I don't know.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Make it make sense. Please, go ahead.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Text us.
- 32:37Speaker 2: What else is on the list? Oh, Oliver Tree. That's
- 32:40Speaker 2: a good one because he had such a distinct hairstyle.
- 32:43Speaker 1: He kind of looked like a Halloween dressed up character
- 32:47Speaker 1: every day.
- 32:48Speaker 2: 100%.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Yeah, with the tiny glasses and things like that. Do
- 32:51Speaker 1: you know what you're going to do yet? Do you
- 32:53Speaker 1: know what you're going to be? I know you've been
- 32:55Speaker 1: thinking about it.
- 32:55Speaker 2: I have no idea. I thought hubby and I had
- 32:58Speaker 2: a plan, and now he's like, I don't know if
- 33:00Speaker 2: I want to go out. So then I'm like, well,
- 33:02Speaker 2: if I'm going out with my girls, it's a different
- 33:03Speaker 2: kind of costume than with my hubby.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Well, with the girls, it's I'm a cat, duh. And
- 33:09Speaker 1: with hubby... It's the funny, cute one, right? I mean,
- 33:11Speaker 1: that's how it goes, right?
- 33:13Speaker 2: I need him to make up his mind on are
- 33:16Speaker 2: you going out or not, and then I'll figure it out.
- 33:19Speaker 1: As a husband, though, you just got to tell him
- 33:21Speaker 1: you're going out, this is what you're going to wear.
- 33:23Speaker 1: You got to make it easy. You got to make
- 33:25Speaker 1: it easy for him.
- 33:26Speaker 2: Wait, my mom just came through on the Kenny Rogers thing.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 33:30Speaker 2: She said Kenny Rogers is famous for his duets with
- 33:33Speaker 2: Dolly Parton. So Dolly and Kenny are kind of like
- 33:37Speaker 2: a couple's costume.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Well, then put them next to each other. Not a
- 33:40Speaker 1: few people down. I know. You're right. Kenny Rogers is.
- 33:43Speaker 2: They're so separate on this list, so that's funny. Nikki
- 33:47Speaker 2: from Obsession, the movie Obsession that people were going crazy for.
- 33:51Speaker 2: The crazy girl with her makeup, the way that they
- 33:53Speaker 2: showed off her makeup, and she's standing in the corner. No, no, no.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Did you see that movie?
- 33:58Speaker 2: I didn't, but I need to.
- 33:59Speaker 1: It was horrifying.
- 34:01Speaker 2: This one's interesting on the list.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Neato.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Neato.
- 34:04Speaker 2: We know what Neato is. It's those squishies.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 2: And it's a specific brand, but people are somehow going
- 34:09Speaker 2: to dress up as a Neato squishy for Halloween.
- 34:12Speaker 1: You were just begging to be touched by a thousand
- 34:14Speaker 1: people at that point. I mean, like, just squish. Like,
- 34:17Speaker 1: people are just going to squish you all day long.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Ew!
- 34:20Speaker 1: That's a lot of germs being spread. I don't know
- 34:22Speaker 1: about that one. That is a lot of germs. I
- 34:23Speaker 1: don't like that. And then this one's funny. Buddy the Unicorn.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I was talking about this. Apparently, it's like... A horror movie?
- 34:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:31Speaker 1: That kind of like loosely looks like what Barney and
- 34:34Speaker 1: Friends look like. Right. But as a unicorn.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Based off like a 90s kids TV show, but put
- 34:39Speaker 2: it in a horror film type of deal. And what's
- 34:42Speaker 2: interesting the most to me about Buddy the Unicorn is, Josh,
- 34:45Speaker 2: you and I, we didn't realize this was a movie
- 34:47Speaker 2: that came out this past year. But this is number
- 34:50Speaker 2: one on the trending list of costumes is Buddy the Unicorn.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Well, look, I will say it was very scary. Like,
- 34:57Speaker 1: I do not like, like, I'm thinking, like, even Five
- 34:59Speaker 1: Nights at Freddy's. Like, those animatronics, those dress-up, you know,
- 35:04Speaker 1: characters where, like, even Bart, like, they stare through your soul.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:08Speaker 1: I don't like that. I cannot stand that. them just
- 35:11Speaker 1: not blinking and just looking at you.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Mascots can be a little bit creepy, especially the animatronics.
- 35:18Speaker 1: I don't like them. So I think that one actually
- 35:19Speaker 1: could be a pretty good choice. I mean, it's coming
- 35:21Speaker 1: in at number one.
- 35:22Speaker 2: It really is, Buddy the Unicorn. So there is your
- 35:24Speaker 2: list of trending Halloween costumes. Josh and I, we would
- 35:27Speaker 2: love to know what you're going to do for Halloween
- 35:30Speaker 2: this year. Call us, text us, 303-691-1MIX. Or give us
- 35:35Speaker 2: your favorite Halloween costume that you've done in the past.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Because sometimes there's always that one good one and you
- 35:40Speaker 2: can never beat.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Yeah, if you have that, send us a pic too. 303-691-1649.
- 35:45Speaker 1: We want to see because I'm still not sure what
- 35:46Speaker 1: I want to do yet. So I need ideas.
- 35:48Speaker 2: We need ideas desperately. So we'll figure it out soon.
- 35:51Speaker 2: And your celebrity quickie is coming up in two songs.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Keep it right here with Mix 100. So it looks
- 35:57Speaker 2: like Joe and Sofia are fighting once again. I am
- 36:01Speaker 2: talking about actor Joe Manganiello, I hope I said his
- 36:05Speaker 2: name correctly, and Sofia Vergara.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Stop it.
- 36:11Speaker 1: We are fighting.
- 36:12Speaker 2: We are fighting. These two used to be married, and
- 36:15Speaker 2: they are no longer, and it really seems like they
- 36:18Speaker 2: hate each other. What happened? So here's the thing. Joe
- 36:22Speaker 2: came out with this memoir called this book about his life.
- 36:25Speaker 2: And he felt the need to write it because yeah,
- 36:27Speaker 2: he's lived a very interesting life. And on top of like,
- 36:30Speaker 2: just as an actor, but on top of that, he
- 36:32Speaker 2: was very, very sick. He had this autoimmune disease, nearly
- 36:35Speaker 2: killed him, it took out some of his intestines, like
- 36:37Speaker 2: he really, really went through it. And so he wrote
- 36:41Speaker 2: this memoir about his life, and he's totally free to
- 36:44Speaker 2: do that, but he also wrote about his experience with
- 36:48Speaker 2: his ex-wife, Sofia Vergara, and she had no idea that
- 36:52Speaker 2: he was even writing this book.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Well, he doesn't have to tell her anymore.
- 36:55Speaker 2: He doesn't, no, and he did not tell her that
- 36:58Speaker 2: he was writing this book. So she was a little blindsided,
- 37:01Speaker 2: at the fact that he came out with this, and
- 37:03Speaker 2: then he came out with all these stories that involved her.
- 37:06Speaker 2: And he talked about when he was sick, she wasn't
- 37:08Speaker 2: the best wife. Granted, they were already kind of split
- 37:12Speaker 2: up personally, but publicly, they decided we're gonna stay together
- 37:15Speaker 2: at that point. But that just makes for some nastiness
- 37:18Speaker 2: behind closed doors. It's just messy.
- 37:20Speaker 1: It's super messy at that point.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Exactly, and that's exactly what happened. And Joe says that Sophia,
- 37:25Speaker 2: she just was not necessarily there for him. He would
- 37:29Speaker 2: beg her for a hug when he was just feeling really,
- 37:32Speaker 2: really sick and she wouldn't do it. And another story
- 37:35Speaker 2: came out that before she finally actually left him, she
- 37:40Speaker 2: told him, you are so sick that no one will
- 37:43Speaker 2: ever love you. And that is just a low blow.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Holy Toledo. That's crazy.
- 37:50Speaker 2: That's pretty bad. But, I mean, like, listen. I'm a Latina, okay?
- 37:55Speaker 2: And when we're mad and we're angry, we'll just be
- 37:58Speaker 2: saying stuff, okay?
- 37:59Speaker 1: That doesn't give you the right to, Miss Nina, okay?
- 38:03Speaker 1: That doesn't make it right, just that you're flying off
- 38:06Speaker 1: the cuff here.
- 38:07Speaker 2: It doesn't make it right, but sometimes I just want
- 38:09Speaker 2: to hurt your feelings. Jeez.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Okay. All right, you know what? Actually, this explains a lot. Okay,
- 38:15Speaker 1: fair enough.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Thank you. So that's all I'm saying is Sophia, maybe
- 38:18Speaker 2: she didn't mean it, but maybe she just wanted to
- 38:20Speaker 2: hurt his feelings.
- 38:21Speaker 1: In that moment. No, in all honesty, we've all been there.
- 38:23Speaker 1: We've all had someone that we've been so pissed off
- 38:25Speaker 1: at that we just want to make them feel like
- 38:27Speaker 1: they're on our level, you know? Exactly. I understand that.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Bring them down a little bit.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, it's not her best moment, and I
- 38:33Speaker 2: have my moments, and it's not my best moment either, but,
- 38:35Speaker 2: you know, I'm only human. Okay, I make mistakes.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Sophia's still hella beautiful, so it's all good. All right,
- 38:43Speaker 1: so this, it's the never-ending fiasco here. Kelly Clarkson and
- 38:47Speaker 1: the Art of Play store, they are, you know, notoriously,
- 38:51Speaker 1: they've been going after each other over the last week. However,
- 38:54Speaker 1: the Art of Play store did something hilarious. That bird
- 38:57Speaker 1: that Kelly so badly wanted has now been put up.
- 39:02Speaker 1: For sale. Stop. However, it has gone on sale for
- 39:07Speaker 1: $ 15 million.
- 39:09Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 39:09Speaker 1: What's funny about this is I do think Kelly could
- 39:13Speaker 1: probably still buy that.
- 39:16Speaker 2: She could, but they're trolling her right now.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 39:18Speaker 2: They are trolling her right now.
- 39:21Speaker 1: However, however, the funniest, most boss move that Kelly could
- 39:25Speaker 1: do right now to just end all be all is
- 39:28Speaker 1: show up and write a $ 15 million check. for that
- 39:30Speaker 1: stupid bird. That would, you know, that's like, just walk
- 39:33Speaker 1: out with it. You know what? And it's hooked up
- 39:35Speaker 1: to the wall. So she, she goes in there and
- 39:37Speaker 1: she brings a chiseler to chisel out the part of
- 39:39Speaker 1: the wall and take that bird with her.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Don't even disassemble it, but literally carve out the wall.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I want the wall, 15 million bucks. I want the
- 39:46Speaker 1: wall with it. I'm taking the studs. Like, it would
- 39:50Speaker 1: just be the biggest power move ever. Now, I don't know.
- 39:53Speaker 1: I don't know if it's actually for sale. They're saying
- 39:56Speaker 1: it's listed for sale for $ 15 million. We all know
- 39:59Speaker 1: it was 15 grand, okay? Yeah, yeah. It was, or
- 40:01Speaker 1: listed at 15 grand. Right. But I'm just saying, if
- 40:04Speaker 1: she wanted to do that, go back to that store.
- 40:06Speaker 1: And do it. Write a check. 15 mil. Take it.
- 40:09Speaker 1: This is my bird now. Which you know afterwards, some
- 40:12Speaker 1: other art collector's gonna want that bird in five years
- 40:14Speaker 1: and pay 20 mil for it, so.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Well yeah, that's what I'm thinking, is honestly, if she
- 40:18Speaker 2: did go back, buy this bird, and especially take out
- 40:21Speaker 2: the wall with it, because that would just be killer.
- 40:24Speaker 2: And pay $ 15 million for it. I feel like at
- 40:27Speaker 2: that point, the value would just skyrocket. She could make
- 40:30Speaker 2: a profit.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it'll be an appreciating asset at that point. So again,
- 40:34Speaker 1: we have covered this night and day now. So whenever
- 40:38Speaker 1: something else happens here, we will let you know. But
- 40:40Speaker 1: I do think it's hilarious how petty this store is now.
- 40:42Speaker 1: They are. And they're like, you know what? It is
- 40:44Speaker 1: for sale. $ 15 million. It's yours.
- 40:46Speaker 2: That's actually amazing. You know what? I'm not mad at that.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Good for them.
- 40:50Speaker 1: I love it.
- 40:51Speaker 2: And Michael Douglas was on a podcast. He shared a
- 40:53Speaker 2: story about Danny DeVito that proves that Danny DeVito is
- 40:57Speaker 2: Frank Reynolds, his character in the TV series It's Always
- 41:00Speaker 2: Sunny in Philadelphia. So he says they were in car together.
- 41:03Speaker 2: They had some greenery with them.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Of course.
- 41:06Speaker 2: If you catch my drift. And Michael was driving, he
- 41:09Speaker 2: made an illegal left turn. Well, police pull up behind him,
- 41:13Speaker 2: whoop whoop, and then pull him over. Michael gets out
- 41:16Speaker 2: of the car to actually greet the cops. He admits
- 41:20Speaker 2: his wrong, just like we do on the show, just
- 41:22Speaker 2: kind of smooth things over, talks with them. Meanwhile, Danny
- 41:25Speaker 2: DeVito is in the car with these rolled up trees.
- 41:28Speaker 2: And he ended up eating them to avoid trouble with
- 41:31Speaker 2: the cops.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Do you know what this is a scene out of?
- 41:33Speaker 1: Have you ever seen Super Troopers? Yeah. So this is
- 41:36Speaker 1: the movie scene where, I mean, it was mushrooms, so
- 41:39Speaker 1: it was a little bit different there. But they ate
- 41:41Speaker 1: all of the stuff that they had.
- 41:43Speaker 3: Oh.
- 41:43Speaker 1: He just horked it down.
- 41:45Speaker 2: That's hilarious.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Can you imagine whatever place they were going to next?
- 41:48Speaker 1: He's just sitting there like.
- 41:49Speaker 2: I think that they were on their way to an
- 41:51Speaker 2: award show together, actually. Oh, good God. There you have it.
- 41:55Speaker 2: But that's such a Frank Reynolds move that I just
- 41:57Speaker 2: love that Danny DeVito is Frank Reynolds in real life.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I know, that makes me so happy.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Exactly. Josh, last night, I talked about this a little earlier.
- 42:05Speaker 2: I had a little bit of a viewing party with
- 42:08Speaker 2: some friends and my nieces watching Love is Blind because
- 42:10Speaker 2: they put out the new season yesterday in Boston. And
- 42:14Speaker 2: I'm watching, and we're trying to sync up our Netflix, right?
- 42:17Speaker 2: And I'm like, okay, and the kind of three... hit play,
- 42:20Speaker 2: but get through the commercials first. And my niece was like, commercials?
- 42:23Speaker 2: You have ads on your Netflix? You're broke. And I
- 42:26Speaker 2: was like, first of all, don't be calling me out, okay, niece?
- 42:31Speaker 1: That's so good.
- 42:32Speaker 2: I was so mad. But then she ended up having
- 42:35Speaker 2: commercials too, so foot in mouth.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Also, let me just say on top of that really quickly,
- 42:40Speaker 1: Netflix and all those other ones that have commercials, they're
- 42:43Speaker 1: way cheaper to the commercial version. And I'm like, I'll
- 42:46Speaker 1: give up two minutes of my life. So I'm cool
- 42:47Speaker 1: with that. Yeah, that's fine.
- 42:49Speaker 2: I can wait 60 seconds. I need a bathroom break anyway.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Anyways, so Netflix just continuing to raise their prices, whether
- 42:56Speaker 2: it's with ads, without ads, no matter what, we're constantly
- 42:59Speaker 2: getting notifications every year that the price is going up again.
- 43:04Speaker 2: And it's really annoying, especially because Netflix just announced, oh, yeah,
- 43:09Speaker 2: you're paying more than you ever have before. But sorry, everyone,
- 43:13Speaker 2: we're going to be doing some massive layoffs.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Yeah, this is not good. Netflix just came out and
- 43:17Speaker 1: said that they are laying off roughly 1,000 employees, which
- 43:21Speaker 1: is about 6% of their global workforce. The executives did
- 43:25Speaker 1: confirm that, yeah, we're going to be cutting some staff
- 43:27Speaker 1: here that we need to continue to make focused choices
- 43:31Speaker 1: across the business. The reductions affect productivity, technology, legal, and
- 43:36Speaker 1: HR departments. And get this, Nina, despite earning $ 3. 4 billion
- 43:43Speaker 1: last quarter, they're still saying that, well, we're facing some
- 43:46Speaker 1: slowing growth and increased streaming competition. Yeah, I understand that. Sure.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Because now streaming has become the new cable, so there's
- 43:52Speaker 1: going to be more and more and more.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:54Speaker 1: But that being said, like, you made $ 3. 4 billion last year.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Well, that and, I mean, them laying off these workers, naturally,
- 44:02Speaker 2: what are they going to replace these workers with? AI.
- 44:05Speaker 1: I swear, dude.
- 44:06Speaker 2: That's what it is.
- 44:06Speaker 1: I swear.
- 44:07Speaker 2: And yet you continue to raise my prices every single year.
- 44:11Speaker 2: Now you're doing these layoffs. You're just going to replace
- 44:13Speaker 2: these people, these human people who need to pay bills.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Who need a job, yeah.
- 44:17Speaker 2: With your AI robots. And now you're upping the price
- 44:21Speaker 2: so that I can pay for your robots?
- 44:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Don't like that.
- 44:24Speaker 1: You're already pissing me off.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Don't like that. No, thank you. Let's stop. I'd rather
- 44:29Speaker 2: pay more money on my Netflix account knowing that I'm
- 44:32Speaker 2: helping another human being.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Like pay their bills, pay their rent rather than just
- 44:38Speaker 2: paying for a stupid AI bot.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you're better than me. I probably wouldn't. But no,
- 44:41Speaker 1: that's really good. Good for you, Nina.
- 44:44Speaker 2: So Kyle Clark, he was on The Daily Show. Get this.
- 44:49Speaker 2: I was literally scrolling TikTok this morning as I was
- 44:51Speaker 2: getting ready because I am addicted to my phone.
- 44:54Speaker 1: I mean, we all are.
- 44:55Speaker 2: It's okay. You know, it is what it is. But
- 44:56Speaker 2: all of a sudden, I see Kyle Clark's face on TikTok,
- 45:00Speaker 2: and I'm like, okay, normal, because he has a TikTok.
- 45:02Speaker 2: He posts stuff, and I follow him. For sure. But
- 45:04Speaker 2: then I realized that it was coming from The Daily
- 45:07Speaker 2: Show on Comedy Central that they had posted this video.
- 45:11Speaker 2: And I was like, whoa, what is happening here? So naturally,
- 45:14Speaker 2: I had to watch it. And they brought up an
- 45:17Speaker 2: interview that Kyle did with Victor Marks, who was running
- 45:20Speaker 2: for governor this year. And in case you didn't see
- 45:22Speaker 2: this interview, he put this up earlier this year. And
- 45:25Speaker 2: it was bizarre. And no, I'm not going to get political.
- 45:28Speaker 2: We don't do that here.
- 45:29Speaker 1: But... No, but I will say, you just showed it
- 45:31Speaker 1: to me, Nina. And I thought it was an SNL skit. No, literally.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I really did. And again... you know, not getting political,
- 45:37Speaker 1: but I was like, oh, this is like a funny
- 45:39Speaker 1: SNL skit.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Literally. So Kyle did this interview earlier this year and
- 45:43Speaker 2: he asked Victor about his claims that his abusive stepdad
- 45:47Speaker 2: asked him to like kill a man when he was
- 45:49Speaker 2: a kid. And then he asked him, have you killed
- 45:51Speaker 2: anyone as an adult? And the longest pause Possible.
- 45:56Speaker 1: Painfully long, I might add.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Like, it was insane.
- 45:58Speaker 1: I was literally like, I was talking to you saying,
- 46:00Speaker 1: say something. You were like, is this frozen?
- 46:02Speaker 2: Like, no, he's moving around.
- 46:03Speaker 1: And then he said something, and I said, not that. Nope.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Not that.
- 46:08Speaker 2: No, straight out of an SNL skit, you're totally right.
- 46:10Speaker 2: And this video made it to Comedy Central. Again, Kyle
- 46:13Speaker 2: Clark put out this video like months ago and this
- 46:16Speaker 2: interview months ago. But good for Kyle Clark. He made
- 46:19Speaker 2: it to The Daily Show. Comedy Central, man.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Yeah, you better get his stipend from them now. Come on, right?
- 46:24Speaker 1: You keep my name in your mouth, right? Yeah, there
- 46:26Speaker 1: we go. All right, this is a weird thing that
- 46:29Speaker 1: couples are trying now to, you know, find that spark again, Nina.
- 46:33Speaker 1: More couples are kind of trading away the traditional date nights,
- 46:38Speaker 1: no more dinners and movies and things like that. They're
- 46:41Speaker 1: taking up pole dancing.
- 46:42Speaker 2: Oh. Yeah.
- 46:43Speaker 1: So they credit this activity, though. It makes them deepen
- 46:46Speaker 1: their intimacy and strengthen their bonds. So Los Angeles newlyweds
- 46:51Speaker 1: Misha and Sam, they're both 33, so young married couple,
- 46:54Speaker 1: performed a pole dancing routine at their wedding. This racked
- 47:00Speaker 1: up 300,000 online views.
- 47:02Speaker 2: At their wedding, in front of their mom and grandma
- 47:05Speaker 2: and aunties and uncles?
- 47:06Speaker 1: In front of everybody. Wow. Sam, who's an engineer, called
- 47:09Speaker 1: the sport, it's a metaphor for marriage. And I was like,
- 47:12Speaker 1: that's an interesting way to put it. Yeah. New Jersey
- 47:15Speaker 1: couple Travis and Laura also said that they are starting
- 47:18Speaker 1: to do pole dancing several times a week. It builds
- 47:20Speaker 1: mutual reliance on each other. And there's a sex therapist
- 47:24Speaker 1: as well. Cindy Darnell says, that she has shared this
- 47:27Speaker 1: physical activity because it creates attunement to one another, a
- 47:32Speaker 1: nervous system co-regulation that fosters deep connection. Now, I want
- 47:36Speaker 1: to ask you, Nina. Would you ever try this? With hubby?
- 47:39Speaker 1: With hubby?
- 47:40Speaker 2: A hubby would never, but I have tried pole dancing before.
- 47:44Speaker 1: You've tried it?
- 47:45Speaker 2: Yeah, a bachelorette party we all went.
- 47:46Speaker 1: To a class. It was so much fun! But let
- 47:49Speaker 1: me ask you, is that like, you know, are there
- 47:52Speaker 1: a few bevies beforehand that made you say yes to this?
- 47:55Speaker 2: A hundred percent.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Okay, so in your right mind, are you saying, yeah,
- 47:58Speaker 1: you know what, let's strengthen the relationship here?
- 48:00Speaker 2: Yes, I say go ahead, give it a try, strengthen
- 48:03Speaker 2: the relationship and strengthen your core all in one.
- 48:06Speaker 1: I was going to say, I don't think I have
- 48:07Speaker 1: a strong enough core to do this.
- 48:09Speaker 2: No, it takes a lot.
- 48:11Speaker 1: It's hard. I'd be the one at the top of
- 48:12Speaker 1: the pole just because I'm stupid and I'd climb it
- 48:14Speaker 1: and just collapse down.
- 48:15Speaker 2: Slam down on the ground.
- 48:17Speaker 1: And seriously injure myself.
- 48:18Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
- 48:19Speaker 1: But that being said, apparently it's helping couples bond over that.
- 48:22Speaker 1: And you know what? I am all for a healthy relationship.
- 48:24Speaker 1: So if this is something you'd want to do, try
- 48:26Speaker 1: it the heck out. Why not?
- 48:27Speaker 2: Absolutely. So the third thing you need to know, Wingstop
- 48:31Speaker 2: and Sour Patch Kids have partnered to create this new
- 48:35Speaker 2: sauce for spooky season. They're calling it Halloween's Most Unhinged Flavor.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Clearly targeting the youths here. But Sour Patch Kids Wicked
- 48:44Speaker 2: Punch Wings are coming to Wingstop. If you're a club
- 48:48Speaker 2: Wingstop member, you get early access on October 23rd. And
- 48:52Speaker 2: then sauce is available nationwide at Wingstop October 27th through
- 48:57Speaker 2: November 5th. It has Sour Patch Kids on top of
- 49:00Speaker 2: like sprinkled on top of this. Sweet and sour sauce.
- 49:03Speaker 1: You know what? Count me out. I'm sorry.
- 49:05Speaker 2: First it's sour, now it's sweet. Honestly, Josh, I feel
- 49:07Speaker 2: like I would try it.
- 49:08Speaker 1: And then it's yucky. No!
- 49:10Speaker 2: Josh, we had some fun today.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Yeah, we had a lot of laughs. I was cracking
- 49:13Speaker 1: up today.
- 49:14Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. Thank you so much for listening, for
- 49:17Speaker 2: following along, and watching on our YouTube Live. which you
- 49:20Speaker 2: can do every morning at Mix 100 Denver. On YouTube,
- 49:23Speaker 2: we also have that Tom Papa interview that I did
- 49:26Speaker 2: with him yesterday. You know what is a great feeling
- 49:28Speaker 2: for me, Josh? What? I made a comedian laugh.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. I'm jealous.
- 49:33Speaker 2: And he's a professional. And I made him laugh like
- 49:36Speaker 2: a few times during our interview yesterday. And I was
- 49:38Speaker 2: very proud of myself.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I'm super jealous of that. That's like everybody's goal in life.
- 49:42Speaker 1: If you can crack a comedian up, you're set. You've
- 49:46Speaker 1: accomplished everything.
- 49:47Speaker 2: I am funny.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Good for you, Nina.
- 49:49Speaker 2: I'm proud of you. Not just my mom thinks so.
- 49:51Speaker 1: It's good. It's good. There you go.
- 49:53Speaker 2: You can go check out that interview at Mix 100 Denver.
- 49:56Speaker 2: It is up on YouTube. And Tom Papa, he told
- 49:59Speaker 2: me that he is bringing his Netflix special to Denver.
- 50:03Speaker 2: that he's actually going to be filming that Netflix special
- 50:06Speaker 2: at the Paramount Theater next Saturday. And he chose Denver
- 50:10Speaker 2: because he loves us so much.
- 50:11Speaker 1: That's so cool.
- 50:11Speaker 2: He literally just loves Denver as a city. He loves
- 50:14Speaker 2: the people here. He always has a great time. And
- 50:17Speaker 2: he chose us to be in the Netflix special.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Like such a bragging rights right there. Like pat ourselves
- 50:23Speaker 1: on the back. Right? He chose us. It's cool. We
- 50:25Speaker 1: did it. We rock.
- 50:26Speaker 2: And then we can watch that special later on when
- 50:28Speaker 2: it comes out.
- 50:29Speaker 1: That's so cool. I love it. Hey, you might be
- 50:31Speaker 1: able to see yourself. You never know.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Oh, for sure.
- 50:33Speaker 1: You might. They hand to the crowd a lot.
- 50:34Speaker 2: I'm going to try to go to that show and
- 50:36Speaker 2: I'm definitely, I have to wear like a neon.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Shirt or something. Don't be the girl that gets called
- 50:41Speaker 1: out because you're heckling. If you are heckling, I swear.
- 50:44Speaker 2: I won't do that.
- 50:45Speaker 1: You're going to ruin everything.
- 50:46Speaker 2: I know.
- 50:46Speaker 1: I know. Okay.
- 50:47Speaker 2: I promise. I promise I won't do that. Okay, it's
- 50:50Speaker 2: time to admit our wrongs right now on the show.
- 50:53Speaker 2: I was like, what are we doing?
- 50:54Speaker 1: I guess so.
- 50:55Speaker 2: It is time. So Josh, what'd you get wrong today?
- 50:57Speaker 1: All right, so we talked a little bit about pole
- 51:00Speaker 1: dancing and how it is now. bringing couples together, which
- 51:05Speaker 1: for me, I thought that was like a solo activity
- 51:06Speaker 1: that you go watch with the boys for bachelor parties.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Not just for that, Josh.
- 51:11Speaker 1: But apparently now it is kind of for rebuilding the
- 51:15Speaker 1: trust in your partner and bringing you together and working
- 51:18Speaker 1: as one group, okay? And it's what a lot of
- 51:20Speaker 1: couples are doing now. They're kind of throwing away the, hey,
- 51:22Speaker 1: let's go to dinner on Friday night. There's You know,
- 51:24Speaker 1: substituting it with, hey, let's go pole dancing on Friday night. Okay,
- 51:27Speaker 1: sounds like a party. So I don't know. You know what?
- 51:29Speaker 1: Maybe I'll give it a try someday.
- 51:30Speaker 2: There you go. You can strengthen your bond and strengthen
- 51:33Speaker 2: your core all at the same time.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Love it. What did you get wrong?
- 51:37Speaker 2: Josh, I got wrong because I thought you had a backbone,
- 51:40Speaker 2: and I was wrong. What are you talking about? I
- 51:42Speaker 2: am talking about the fact that you went to the
- 51:44Speaker 2: store yesterday because you got an email saying that your
- 51:47Speaker 2: order was ready for pickup. You go there for the pickup,
- 51:50Speaker 2: and they say, sorry, it's not processed. We can't give
- 51:53Speaker 2: it to you today. Come back tomorrow. And I can't
- 51:56Speaker 2: believe that you left. You accepted that, you said okay,
- 52:00Speaker 2: and you left.
- 52:01Speaker 1: Nina, I did both of us a favor, okay? I
- 52:03Speaker 1: know we just started this morning show. I do not
- 52:07Speaker 1: want to put us in the news with me acting
- 52:09Speaker 1: like Kelly Clarkson out here, okay? I did both of
- 52:12Speaker 1: us a favor there. I am not trying to be
- 52:15Speaker 1: in the spotlight anymore than I already am. I don't
- 52:18Speaker 1: want to throw a fit. I did you a favor.
- 52:20Speaker 1: You're welcome.
- 52:21Speaker 2: All right. You know what? That's fair. But also, it's
- 52:24Speaker 2: just so crazy. They sent you an email saying, come
- 52:27Speaker 2: pick it up.
- 52:27Speaker 1: They did. And I have no spine. No. They said
- 52:31Speaker 1: it was at the store and that I can't get
- 52:32Speaker 1: it until tomorrow, which is today. Yeah. So I'm going
- 52:34Speaker 1: to go in there and I swear, okay, if they
- 52:36Speaker 1: don't let me get my pants this time.
- 52:37Speaker 2: If they don't today.
- 52:38Speaker 1: I'm calling you.
- 52:39Speaker 2: You better call me and I will be there ASAP.
- 52:43Speaker 1: My co-host needs to come here. Hold on. Give me
- 52:45Speaker 1: one second, please.
- 52:45Speaker 2: Like instead of calling your mom.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Hold my hand.
- 52:49Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Good lord.
- 52:51Speaker 2: Yeah, good luck with that. You better keep me updated.
- 52:54Speaker 2: I hope you don't have to call me, but I
- 52:55Speaker 2: will be there if you need to.
- 52:56Speaker 1: We'll see.
- 52:57Speaker 2: All right, we'll see, we'll see. Thank you so much
- 52:59Speaker 2: for listening to the show today. We're Nina and Josh
- 53:02Speaker 2: on Denver's Morning Show on Mix 100. Angela Cortez is
- 53:05Speaker 2: coming in next. And Josh, we'll talk to everyone tomorrow.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Goodbye.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Bye.
