SPEAKER_04: An experiment like this that's never been done before.
• 0:12
SPEAKER_05: People have done everything to find love.
• 0:15
SPEAKER_05: Now, don't you think experts raise their marriage and they're trying to find you the love of your life?
• 0:22
  SPEAKER_05: Alright, that's a legal marriage.
• 0:27
SPEAKER_04: That's definitely one of the most important decisions of life to market helpful to live together for that to be a good idea.
• 0:45
SPEAKER_04: This could be the best thing that ever happened to me.
• 0:50
SPEAKER_05: At the end of the form, they have to decide whether they're going to stay together or get a divorce.
• 1:00
SPEAKER_05: Do you want to stay married or do you want to get a divorce?
• 1:08
SPEAKER_05: This tip is married at first sight.
• 1:22
SPEAKER_00: Hi, and welcome to this bonus episode of Assassin's Tips.
• 1:26
SPEAKER_00: Today we're going to talk about the reality show Married at First Sight.
• 1:30
SPEAKER_00: We're going to start with season one.
• 1:35
SPEAKER_00: I'm one of your hosts.
• 1:36
  SPEAKER_00: I'm Lisa.
• 1:37
  SPEAKER_00: And I'm Agnes.
• 1:40
SPEAKER_03: What are you drinking today's for today's episode?
• 1:44
SPEAKER_03: Um, okay, so I was trying to be fancy and I just poured my wine into the glass and put the bottle back in the refrigerator.
• 1:51
SPEAKER_03: So I don't even remember what kind of wine it is.
• 1:55
SPEAKER_03: But I remember it's like a cranberry, sparkling cranberry thing of a bob.
• 2:01
SPEAKER_00: So is it like a let me what color is it?
• 2:03
  SPEAKER_00: I can't even see it.
• 2:04
SPEAKER_03: It's kind of like it's like a light, it's like a dark rose color.
• 2:09
  unknown: Oh, okay.
• 2:10
  SPEAKER_03: Like it's cranberry.
• 2:11
SPEAKER_03: Like, imagine like a white wine ish thing with cranberry in it.
• 2:14
SPEAKER_03: So it's kind of like a little off-colored, and it's kind of sparkly.
• 2:18
SPEAKER_03: It's from my other favorite liquor store, Aldi's.
• 2:25
SPEAKER_00: Which apparently you can't get over here.
• 2:29
SPEAKER_00: The suit the Aldi's supermarkets over here don't sell booze in their stores.
• 2:34
SPEAKER_03: This is probably one of the only good things about living in the Midwest.
• 2:38
  SPEAKER_03: Booze.
• 2:38
  SPEAKER_03: Booze everywhere.
• 2:39
SPEAKER_03: This one has a this is a drive-thru liquor store.
• 2:43
  unknown: Oh, geez.
• 2:44
SPEAKER_03: I swear, this is all for it.
• 2:49
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 2:51
  SPEAKER_03: Merried at first sight.
• 2:53
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 2:54
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, I have I have a white claw that I found.
• 2:57
SPEAKER_03: So that you found whatever.
• 2:59
SPEAKER_03: It sounds like it was just sitting on your doorstep.
• 3:01
SPEAKER_03: You're like, oh fucking, we'll drink this.
• 3:04
SPEAKER_00: It wouldn't be the first time I found alcohol sitting on my doorstep.
• 3:11
SPEAKER_00: One day I went outside where I used to live and I found a bag full of beer.
• 3:16
SPEAKER_03: Well, I mean, you had neighbors.
• 3:17
SPEAKER_03: I'm sure someone could be like, here, Lisa, you have kids.
• 3:20
SPEAKER_00: That's what it ended up being.
• 3:22
  SPEAKER_03: That's sweet.
• 3:23
  SPEAKER_02: But you found liquor.
• 3:24
  SPEAKER_02: She actually did this.
• 3:25
SPEAKER_02: She found liquor her doorstep.
• 3:26
  SPEAKER_02: That's funny.
• 3:27
SPEAKER_00: Because well, I I knew that it was from them because um once before my neighbors uh were Japanese and black, and she brought over, she was Japanese, and she brought over a bag of Japanese beer.
• 3:43
  SPEAKER_00: Nice.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_00: And she was like, Do you guys drink?
• 3:45
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Yes.
• 3:46
SPEAKER_00: And she was like, Would you like this?
• 3:47
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Yes.
• 3:48
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 3:49
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, thank you.
• 3:50
SPEAKER_00: She's like, which was funny because she was like, Well, if I remember correctly, she said, We don't drink this.
• 3:58
SPEAKER_00: But maybe she meant like that particular beer because um there were plenty of nights on the block, especially come pandemic, where everybody had a fucking bottle and a cup.
• 4:12
SPEAKER_00: And it would be everybody would be outside, like, oh, what do you have?
• 4:14
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'll taste that one.
• 4:15
SPEAKER_00: Like they had their own cup and their own bottle, and everybody was thinking, share it, just pour it.
• 4:21
  SPEAKER_00: Um probably that brand.
• 4:24
SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking it yeah, but um, yeah, and then I I found some more another time, so I was like, I knew it had to be from her.
• 4:32
SPEAKER_03: She just finds beer, okay.
• 4:34
SPEAKER_03: Like, I get stray cats, you get stray alcohol.
• 4:38
SPEAKER_00: I'd rather have the stray alcohol.
• 4:40
  SPEAKER_00: Alex is so funny.
• 4:41
  SPEAKER_00: He's like, That's judgment beer.
• 4:43
SPEAKER_00: I was like, why is that judgment beer?
• 4:44
SPEAKER_00: He's like, because she judged us and figured that we drink, and that's why she brought it.
• 4:49
SPEAKER_00: I was like, you know what?
• 4:50
SPEAKER_00: If you feel that way, they don't drink any.
• 4:54
  SPEAKER_00: I'll I'll drink it just fine.
• 4:57
  SPEAKER_00: The Sapporo is good.
• 4:59
  SPEAKER_03: I think okay, I think her I think it's reverse judgment.
• 5:02
  SPEAKER_00: I don't, I don't think she was judging.
• 5:05
SPEAKER_03: No, when I say reverse judgment, they were both very nice.
• 5:08
SPEAKER_03: I think it's the whole, I'm gonna assume you drink, but just in case you don't.
• 5:14
SPEAKER_03: Like, you know what I mean?
• 5:15
SPEAKER_03: Like, everyone drinks, like that's like the normal go-to.
• 5:17
  SPEAKER_03: That's like that's your baseline.
• 5:19
SPEAKER_03: But here's the one percent chance that you don't.
• 5:21
SPEAKER_03: I just want to make sure.
• 5:22
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 5:24
SPEAKER_03: So reverse judgment, I guess.
• 5:28
SPEAKER_00: Either way, I got some free beers.
• 5:30
  SPEAKER_03: I like love it.
• 5:33
  SPEAKER_03: I have okay.
• 5:34
SPEAKER_03: I find cats, she finds beers, and these people find spouses.
• 5:41
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, I like that.
• 5:44
SPEAKER_00: Would you ever do something like this?
• 5:46
SPEAKER_03: Yes, but it can't be on TV.
• 5:50
SPEAKER_03: I don't want to be embarrassed on national TV and my friends like that bitch.
• 5:56
SPEAKER_00: The biggest, I think that's really like one of the biggest obstacles of an experiment like this for a person is the fact that not just you have to go through with it and your friends and your family, and oh my god, what are you gonna get?
• 6:13
SPEAKER_00: But the fact that the entire world is potentially watching you.
• 6:19
  SPEAKER_03: That's the whole point.
• 6:20
SPEAKER_03: I don't want to want, I don't want the whole world watching me.
• 6:23
SPEAKER_03: Um, okay, this is my pipe dream.
• 6:25
SPEAKER_03: I would totally do this.
• 6:27
SPEAKER_03: Um, I would have to know that they are 155% checked out by law enforcement, psychiatrist, psychologist.
• 6:38
SPEAKER_03: Um, like I need to make sure they professely checked out.
• 6:41
  SPEAKER_03: Um, because I'm paranoid.
• 6:44
  SPEAKER_03: I watch Discovery Channel.
• 6:46
  SPEAKER_03: I know it's out there.
• 6:47
SPEAKER_03: I think, honestly, Lisa, I'm at the age now, I don't think I'm gonna find it naturally.
• 6:53
SPEAKER_00: Well, I don't know how the later seasons are, but at least for this one, you really only have to give up what, like four or five weeks of your life.
• 7:03
SPEAKER_03: It does change in subsequent seasons.
• 7:08
SPEAKER_03: Um, but but even then, like when I was watching it then, even watching it up to date, I still think I might do it.
• 7:17
  unknown: Okay.
• 7:18
  SPEAKER_03: If I hit 45 and I'm still single, but I by 45 I'll be too old.
• 7:24
SPEAKER_03: They're not gonna want to do this with my age.
• 7:27
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but maybe they'll do like uh you know, like the golden bachelor, it'll be like the golden married at first sight.
• 7:32
SPEAKER_03: Well, you know what's interesting?
• 7:34
SPEAKER_03: I started watching um Australia, Married at First Sight Australia, and the way they do is slightly different, same premise, but it's different.
• 7:48
SPEAKER_03: But they have all they usually I think most of them, some of the young, but they have all age groups, okay, which is kind of cool.
• 7:57
SPEAKER_03: Like, like they have people with adult kids already.
• 8:00
SPEAKER_03: Like, I was like, oh, that's kind of cool because guess what?
• 8:03
SPEAKER_03: Uh like my age, we would like to get married, please.
• 8:07
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 8:07
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I it's I don't think that it young people have a monopoly on wanting to be married.
• 8:14
  SPEAKER_03: I totally concur.
• 8:16
SPEAKER_03: Would you do it if you weren't already married?
• 8:20
SPEAKER_03: She's like, I've been married, I would never do it again.
• 8:25
  SPEAKER_00: Um, I don't know.
• 8:28
SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm adventurous, and when it comes down to it, right, like even if it's let's say it's the five weeks, maybe.
• 8:38
SPEAKER_00: Because okay, you you know, you do your uh questionnaires and you know, all that kind of stuff.
• 8:48
SPEAKER_00: And realistically, you're giving a person five weeks, uh a cup, you know, less than a couple of months of your life.
• 8:57
SPEAKER_00: Um, it could potentially be wonderful.
• 9:01
SPEAKER_00: But even with that being said, I don't think I would do that.
• 9:06
SPEAKER_00: Maybe if I wasn't ever married, but even if we weren't married anymore, I would not do that.
• 9:15
SPEAKER_00: Even if it wasn't televised, I would not do that.
• 9:19
SPEAKER_00: But I think it's also like I just don't picture myself ever wanting to be in like a marriage or even like a long-term relationship.
• 9:57
SPEAKER_03: She's like been there, done that, and never doing again.
• 9:59
  SPEAKER_03: Burning the t-shirt.
• 10:01
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 10:05
SPEAKER_03: I want to be I want to throw I want to burn my t-shirt too.
• 10:08
SPEAKER_03: Like, I want to be at that point.
• 10:14
SPEAKER_03: So, um, I'm I know she's not quite married at first sight, but you and Angie are the worst friends ever.
• 10:21
SPEAKER_03: Sorry, Megan Markle's friends gave her a setup with a blind day with a prince.
• 10:27
SPEAKER_03: What have you guys done for me?
• 10:29
SPEAKER_00: Well, listening to our married stories, doesn't it make you feel better about being single?
• 10:34
  SPEAKER_03: Yes.
• 10:35
  SPEAKER_03: Oh fucking god, yes.
• 10:38
SPEAKER_03: Oh god, oh god, yes.
• 10:41
SPEAKER_03: Every time I feel like I'm never gonna get married, no one's gonna love me.
• 10:45
SPEAKER_03: I get one of you guys like, yeah, do you know what happened?
• 10:48
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Married at first sight.
• 10:55
SPEAKER_00: This show came out in the summer of 2014, so it's it's about to be 10 years old.
• 11:03
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and we they are currently at season 17.
• 11:09
SPEAKER_03: Damn, yes, and I've watched every season I am currently never watched until this.
• 11:17
SPEAKER_03: Okay, just in case anyone's listening, this is not count as the my pick, her pick.
• 11:24
SPEAKER_03: This is just our special after show.
• 11:26
SPEAKER_00: This is just bonus, yeah.
• 11:27
SPEAKER_03: This is a bonus, like hey, I'm excited, but I'm excited for you to watch it.
• 11:32
  SPEAKER_03: I'm excited to re-watch it myself.
• 11:35
SPEAKER_00: And it's so funny because I'm I'm really not much of a reality TV person, but I told you this is not something that I would see on the like TV guide or or whatever, and think about it.
• 11:48
SPEAKER_00: Did you just say TV guide?
• 11:49
SPEAKER_00: Like the book, you know what I mean.
• 11:54
SPEAKER_02: The thick magazine book and the go-through and make the oh sorry.
• 12:00
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I used to love the TV guys.
• 12:03
SPEAKER_00: We used to play, we made our own.
• 12:04
  SPEAKER_00: The crossword puzzles.
• 12:06
SPEAKER_00: Oh, and we used to we used to play in the in the building.
• 12:11
SPEAKER_00: Triforces and bombs, and we used to have to hide them in the building.
• 12:14
SPEAKER_00: Oh, it was a great time.
• 12:16
SPEAKER_00: Anyway, oh I saw we just people listening.
• 12:20
SPEAKER_00: It was the at that point, it was the 90s, okay?
• 12:24
SPEAKER_00: Like, the fuck else would we have to do?
• 12:26
SPEAKER_00: We played with each other.
• 12:28
  SPEAKER_00: Like games with physical.
• 12:31
SPEAKER_00: Oh, that sounds so bad.
• 12:32
SPEAKER_02: I'm so glad no one can see my face when you said that.
• 12:36
SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to play with somebody now, but we actually had to use our imaginations back then.
• 12:40
SPEAKER_00: We didn't have devices in front of our faces.
• 12:44
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, TV guy.
• 12:45
SPEAKER_02: She said TV guy, but you know what I meant.
• 12:48
SPEAKER_00: Like, yes, you know the guy on your DVR.
• 12:50
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
• 12:52
SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't, it wouldn't be like, oh, I saw a promo for this show.
• 12:57
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 12:58
SPEAKER_00: And think to myself, oh, I gotta watch that.
• 13:00
  SPEAKER_00: But I know me.
• 13:02
SPEAKER_00: And I told you this.
• 13:03
SPEAKER_00: I said, I'm gonna start watching it, and I'm just gonna get hooked.
• 13:08
SPEAKER_00: And literally at the end of the first episode, I'm like, can I watch the second one?
• 13:14
SPEAKER_03: You're gonna as okay, so the first couple of episodes is just them like getting together.
• 13:21
SPEAKER_03: And as you get further into the season, obviously it becomes meatier, it's got it's just very meaty and all these different personalities.
• 13:30
SPEAKER_00: And well, if it hadn't been for you and and doing it for the podcast, I would have already finished the first season by now.
• 13:38
SPEAKER_03: Um, yeah, you would have.
• 13:41
SPEAKER_03: Um and I'm okay with that.
• 13:44
SPEAKER_03: I think maybe we should just watch the whole season and just do one like a two-day recording.
• 13:49
SPEAKER_00: I mean, but then I'll get mixed.
• 13:53
  SPEAKER_03: Confused.
• 13:54
  SPEAKER_03: Okay.
• 13:54
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'll be confusion too.
• 13:56
SPEAKER_03: Like, honestly, maybe as we watch an episode, we're gonna see how much it is, like when it starts to pick up, it's just a lot of and then I could think the first couple of seasons is less less produced and really genuine.
• 14:12
SPEAKER_03: So you see like real reactions and real, like if that makes sense.
• 14:16
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, no, no, it makes sense.
• 14:18
SPEAKER_03: As you start maybe by the honeymoon, by by the third episode, we'll probably need to do one episode per.
• 14:26
  SPEAKER_03: I think.
• 14:27
SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's just do it, see what happens.
• 14:30
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 14:32
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, where were we?
• 14:35
  SPEAKER_00: We at the beginning.
• 14:38
SPEAKER_03: In the beginning, there was man.
• 14:40
SPEAKER_00: Um so the the premise of this show is that a group of four experts are setting out on a social experiment to matchmake people, except that they don't know anything about the other person, including their name, until their wedding day.
• 15:00
SPEAKER_00: Until like they're literally walking down the aisle 90 seconds away from being husband and wife.
• 15:07
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I've there's been worse social experiments in the world, and that's for sure.
• 15:13
SPEAKER_03: To be fair, this guess is a social experiment, but it's not based on nothing.
• 15:19
SPEAKER_03: Matchmaking has like there's still matchmakers and people setting up, you know, different cultures around the world today.
• 15:27
SPEAKER_03: So it's not based on a something totally new.
• 15:31
SPEAKER_03: Matchmaking in principle can work.
• 15:36
SPEAKER_03: Probably both parties are going into the matchmaking willingly.
• 15:41
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, that's what I'm assuming.
• 15:43
SPEAKER_03: For the per for the purpose of this conversation, it's consensual matchmaking on both parts.
• 15:51
  SPEAKER_00: Um, right.
• 15:52
SPEAKER_00: So when the show opens, we meet the experts, and the experts are Dr.
• 15:59
SPEAKER_00: Joseph Silona, who's a clinical psychologist with almost 20 years of experience, and he's the one who performs the psychological assessment on the participants.
• 16:12
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's a good assistance, but I guess that's not same difference.
• 16:17
  SPEAKER_00: Dr.
• 16:18
SPEAKER_00: Pepper Schwartz, and I swear to God, Dr.
• 16:21
  SPEAKER_02: I love her.
• 16:22
SPEAKER_00: If your name is Pepper, you have to become a doctor.
• 16:27
SPEAKER_03: You have to become a doctor.
• 16:28
SPEAKER_03: I think you have to.
• 16:31
SPEAKER_03: I think it's like you're like, okay, you know what?
• 16:34
  SPEAKER_03: It's you're gonna have to.
• 16:35
SPEAKER_03: That's that's all there is to it.
• 16:38
SPEAKER_00: She's a sociologist, um, and she's a professor at the University of Washington, and she does the field visits.
• 16:47
  SPEAKER_00: Then there's Dr.
• 16:48
  SPEAKER_00: Logan Levkoff.
• 16:50
SPEAKER_00: She is a sexologist, and she does the sexology session.
• 16:54
SPEAKER_00: That's a lot of shh, that sounds fun.
• 16:57
  SPEAKER_03: Right.
• 16:58
SPEAKER_00: And the last one is Greg Epstein, unfortunate name.
• 17:03
SPEAKER_00: He is uh a spiritual advisor.
• 17:07
SPEAKER_00: He's a humanist chaplain at Harvard University, and he does their spiritual counseling.
• 17:15
SPEAKER_00: So as part of the experiment, they have six hundred and twenty-five possible matches to choose from.
• 17:23
SPEAKER_00: All the experts have to agree, that's like one of the caveats.
• 17:28
SPEAKER_00: And then, if matched, the participants will be married in one week.
• 17:34
SPEAKER_00: They will see each other at the wedding day, and then after the wedding, they go on their honeymoon, and then they have to live together at like you know, one of their apartments or whatever they decide.
• 17:47
SPEAKER_00: And then after four weeks, they have to decide if they want to stay married or get divorced.
• 17:53
SPEAKER_00: So one of the experts, and I think it's Dr.
• 17:57
SPEAKER_00: Pepper, said that, you know, why marriage and why not just like dating?
• 18:02
SPEAKER_00: And she said it was either her or the the other guy, the um Solona, who said that they like when you marry the people versus just have them date or whatever, that they're they're gonna be willing to put more work into it.
• 18:27
SPEAKER_00: And I I thought that that was a like a really good explanation of why bother, you know what?
• 18:35
  SPEAKER_03: Why bot right?
• 18:36
SPEAKER_03: Go this boss the wall, if you're gonna do it, do it right.
• 18:41
SPEAKER_03: You pretty much, if you're gonna commit, commit.
• 18:44
SPEAKER_03: And I feel like and I I know a lot of people feel like this is a time period where people are jaded, but I feel also that people do want to make things work, yeah, and while divorce is relatively speaking easy, we're living a time where you're not bounded by your husband and you have to stay married, so divorce is easy in that sense.
• 19:11
SPEAKER_00: People do want to work on the relationships, they do want to work it out, and sometimes do they have mental and emotional detriment, but um well, and I think that there could also be something could also be said about arranged marriages in the sense of when you pick your partner, you're marrying them based on all the things that you already know, right?
• 19:39
SPEAKER_00: And then at some point I would assume that then it changes, and then that's when you decide you don't want to be with that person anymore.
• 19:51
SPEAKER_00: With an arranged marriage, you don't know the person.
• 19:56
SPEAKER_00: So just just the same as you don't know their bad behavior, you don't necessarily know their good behavior.
• 20:02
SPEAKER_00: But I think that that might also be a reason motivating you to not give up because it's not like you saw a behavior and it changed, and then you're like, I'm fucking done with this.
• 20:22
SPEAKER_00: You just see a behavior, and even if it's something that you don't particularly like, you have to you take it as part of the package because you already have the whole package.
• 20:34
SPEAKER_00: It's like something that it's you're seeing all this.
• 20:37
SPEAKER_03: I think I know I to your point to add on to your point.
• 20:42
SPEAKER_03: I feel when you know who you're marrying, you know your partner, and you're marrying that person, you or you fall in love, whatever the case may be.
• 20:52
SPEAKER_03: You're looking towards a future, you're still looking towards, okay, I love this person, but they do X, Y, and Z.
• 20:59
  SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna change that.
• 21:01
SPEAKER_03: There's still a part of both people involved in relationship.
• 21:07
SPEAKER_03: Like, right, well, I'll change that.
• 21:09
SPEAKER_03: Not the whole we'll compromise, we'll work on it, they'll change their minds, they'll work with there's still that sense of I can change that person, and it's not so much of their behaviors changed as you got married, you actually care about those behaviors now.
• 21:29
SPEAKER_03: Those behaviors now bother you now, um, as opposed to, oh, I didn't know that's about like as something I didn't see before.
• 21:40
SPEAKER_03: Is it that, or is it just like you just were so in love, or you realize, oh shit, I can't change this.
• 21:49
SPEAKER_03: And it goes back to if you don't know the person, you're like, this is what I got, this is what I'm gonna work with.
• 21:54
SPEAKER_03: I have my ingredients right here.
• 21:56
SPEAKER_03: I'm making my meal with it.
• 21:59
SPEAKER_03: That's as opposed to I'm gonna go grocery shopping and pick off random things, and I'll figure out my meal later.
• 22:06
SPEAKER_03: I guess that's kind of what this is.
• 22:08
SPEAKER_03: You already have your ingredients.
• 22:10
  SPEAKER_02: This is chops.
• 22:11
SPEAKER_02: Like, here's your ingredients, make your meal.
• 22:14
SPEAKER_00: Here's your spouse, make your marriage work.
• 22:17
  SPEAKER_00: Pretty much.
• 22:18
SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's exactly what they just did.
• 22:21
  SPEAKER_00: The participants, there's Jamie.
• 22:25
  SPEAKER_00: She's twenty-seven.
• 22:27
  SPEAKER_00: She's a registered nurse.
• 22:29
SPEAKER_00: And it seems like she came from like a big family, but the mother was like a drug addict, so she had to like raise her younger siblings.
• 22:40
  SPEAKER_00: There's Monet, who's 33.
• 22:42
  SPEAKER_00: She's a fashion product developer.
• 22:46
SPEAKER_00: She says she's from Harlem, but I think she just lives there.
• 22:50
SPEAKER_00: She doesn't sound like she has like a southern almost.
• 22:55
  SPEAKER_00: Right?
• 22:56
SPEAKER_00: Um I being just extra judgy because we're from New York.
• 23:01
SPEAKER_03: So I am I remember people and my parents' lives.
• 23:09
SPEAKER_03: I'm thinking like this is like right, let's say grandparent age.
• 23:14
SPEAKER_03: That were originally from the South, maybe like the Carolinas that moved up to New York and in Harlem and made Harlem like so they had their accent.
• 23:26
SPEAKER_03: I feel like that Southern accent, their children picked it up.
• 23:31
SPEAKER_03: And then their children picked up a little bit.
• 23:33
  SPEAKER_03: So it's like a water, it's like a new, it's not a water down.
• 23:37
SPEAKER_03: Because I hear sometimes like my my cousin Jasmine, she would tell me that she would hear a couple of southern accents coming from me.
• 23:47
SPEAKER_03: Obviously, I never lived down south in that like one year when I was seven.
• 23:51
SPEAKER_03: New York girl through and through.
• 23:53
SPEAKER_00: But it's but but you know what you're right.
• 23:54
SPEAKER_03: But from my mother, right?
• 23:56
SPEAKER_03: And she left there when she was 17.
• 23:59
SPEAKER_03: So it's just something that it's it's just got watered and trickled down.
• 24:04
SPEAKER_00: I never thought of it that way, but I think you're right.
• 24:06
SPEAKER_00: Well, like my grandmother lived in Harlem, so it wasn't like, oh, what does she know?
• 24:10
SPEAKER_00: Like she was never there.
• 24:11
SPEAKER_00: No, like we spent a good time.
• 24:13
SPEAKER_00: No, I but I guess I never thought about it in a in that specific context.
• 24:20
SPEAKER_03: A lot of people from Harlem generations ago were mostly from the South.
• 24:28
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that makes a lot of sense, actually.
• 24:31
SPEAKER_03: Like I just I never really okay, and I just know that because of people that I know directly.
• 24:38
SPEAKER_03: So I've and I gotta say, if I didn't know these people directly and knew their back, I wouldn't and it wouldn't never click to me.
• 24:46
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, I learned something.
• 24:48
SPEAKER_00: I gave you a wrinkle, um, and also her dad passed.
• 24:58
  SPEAKER_02: You said that.
• 24:58
SPEAKER_02: Oh, and by the way.
• 25:00
  SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
• 25:03
  SPEAKER_02: I'm going to hell.
• 25:06
  SPEAKER_00: Next, we have Courtney.
• 25:08
  SPEAKER_00: Courtney is 26.
• 25:11
SPEAKER_00: She's originally from North Carolina.
• 25:13
SPEAKER_00: Her parents do not seem to be on board with this.
• 25:17
SPEAKER_00: She's a makeup artist, and the poor girl wants to live in New York City so bad she sleeps in a living room with a curtain.
• 25:26
SPEAKER_03: I don't know what to sing yourself.
• 25:30
  SPEAKER_03: That's not uncommon.
• 25:32
  SPEAKER_00: It's not.
• 25:33
  SPEAKER_00: No.
• 25:34
SPEAKER_00: I'll be honest, uh, Alex and I had a roommate for a couple of months at one point, and we slept the same way.
• 25:41
SPEAKER_00: And we didn't even have a curtain.
• 25:42
SPEAKER_00: We had moving, we made wall out of the moving boxes.
• 25:46
  SPEAKER_03: I mean, I made a bedroom, I made a living room into a bedroom with furniture.
• 25:52
  unknown: That's right.
• 25:53
SPEAKER_03: But we had like the armoirs and the bookcases.
• 25:56
SPEAKER_03: We made a whole like, yeah, we made it into a two-bedroom apartment.
• 26:00
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 26:02
SPEAKER_03: Where we lived growing up.
• 26:06
  SPEAKER_03: Totally different vibe.
• 26:07
  SPEAKER_03: But anyway, yeah.
• 26:09
  SPEAKER_03: She's like, I wouldn't know.
• 26:10
SPEAKER_03: I know invited to your house.
• 26:11
  SPEAKER_00: I wasn't gonna say it, but I didn't.
• 26:16
  SPEAKER_00: Next, we have Doug, who's 31.
• 26:19
  SPEAKER_00: Jesus next.
• 26:20
  SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
• 26:22
  SPEAKER_00: And a software salesman.
• 26:24
SPEAKER_00: We don't know much about him, but he lives with his parents because of some like job stuff.
• 26:32
SPEAKER_00: And based on his accent, here I go again.
• 26:36
SPEAKER_00: Based on his accent, I'm gonna give him like Long Island.
• 26:39
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we got Jason, who's 27.
• 26:45
SPEAKER_00: He's an EMT, but he's trading for the fire department.
• 26:48
  SPEAKER_00: Straight Brooklyn.
• 26:50
SPEAKER_00: When you hear his voice, not even straight Brooklyn, straight Benson Hurst.
• 26:54
  SPEAKER_02: Bensonhurst.
• 26:56
SPEAKER_02: No, like Benson Hearst is whole different, yeah.
• 27:00
SPEAKER_00: Yes, if if you're not from New York, you don't even understand.
• 27:03
SPEAKER_00: Like a Brooklyn accent is not even just a Brooklyn accent.
• 27:06
SPEAKER_00: It's like, okay, but where?
• 27:08
  SPEAKER_02: But where in Brooklyn?
• 27:10
SPEAKER_00: If he didn't say Bensonhurst, I would have known already.
• 27:13
SPEAKER_00: Bensonhurst or Sheep's Head Bay.
• 27:16
SPEAKER_00: It could be Sheepshead Bay.
• 27:18
SPEAKER_00: It could have been even Bay Ridge.
• 27:20
  SPEAKER_03: Bay Ridge.
• 27:22
  SPEAKER_03: But more bitch, yeah.
• 27:23
SPEAKER_00: It's one of those three.
• 27:24
SPEAKER_00: It had to be one of those three.
• 27:26
SPEAKER_00: Well no, actually, hold on.
• 27:28
  SPEAKER_00: Hold on.
• 27:30
SPEAKER_00: You could throw Dyak or Heights in there, also.
• 27:33
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that whole area.
• 27:35
SPEAKER_00: But yes, but that cluster.
• 27:37
  SPEAKER_00: That cluster, yeah.
• 27:38
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 27:39
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
• 27:40
  SPEAKER_00: But he okay, anyway.
• 27:43
SPEAKER_00: He's a wrestler and he was raised by a single mom who's unfortunately sick uh with stage four lung cancer.
• 27:52
SPEAKER_00: Vaughn is our last participant.
• 27:54
  SPEAKER_00: He is 30.
• 27:56
  SPEAKER_00: He's an industrial technician.
• 27:58
SPEAKER_00: He says he's originally from Long Island.
• 28:00
  SPEAKER_00: Where's your accent, buddy?
• 28:03
SPEAKER_00: Long Island has the worst accent.
• 28:06
  SPEAKER_03: He gives okay.
• 28:07
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna give you a little bit of my opinion of him.
• 28:11
  SPEAKER_03: From him.
• 28:12
  SPEAKER_03: My opinion of him.
• 28:14
  SPEAKER_03: I didn't like him.
• 28:17
  SPEAKER_00: I I I didn't get good vibes from him either.
• 28:20
  SPEAKER_00: I didn't like him.
• 28:21
SPEAKER_00: Just going back to his thing.
• 28:22
SPEAKER_00: I think that um he spent time in the military, so that probably also accounts for his speech.
• 28:30
SPEAKER_00: Well, I I think he's a type to speak, try hard to speak a certain way.
• 28:36
  SPEAKER_03: Right.
• 28:37
SPEAKER_00: To lose because well, I did too, to a point.
• 28:42
SPEAKER_00: I got tired of people being like, Oh, you're from Brooklyn?
• 28:46
  SPEAKER_00: Don't talk to me.
• 28:51
  SPEAKER_03: Now the I I can't hear myself.
• 28:56
SPEAKER_03: Like, I don't know if I have an accent or not.
• 28:58
SPEAKER_03: I've been hearing my voice my whole life.
• 29:00
SPEAKER_00: Well, you have your own accent, but yeah.
• 29:02
SPEAKER_03: I have my own special accent.
• 29:04
SPEAKER_03: Um, but I talk the way I talk, and that's just the way I've always spoken.
• 29:09
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 29:09
SPEAKER_00: Um I am what I am, and that's all that I am.
• 29:12
  SPEAKER_03: I am what I am.
• 29:13
SPEAKER_03: You don't like it, go fuck yourself.
• 29:14
  SPEAKER_03: Um hey, hey, fungal.
• 29:24
SPEAKER_03: Oh if you wanna if you want to shut me up, hold my hand.
• 29:29
SPEAKER_00: Nobody in my family says that.
• 29:31
SPEAKER_00: Is that really an Italian thing?
• 29:33
  SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
• 29:35
SPEAKER_03: I I think of a couple of things from from living in Kala Gardens question.
• 29:40
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was never that though.
• 29:41
  SPEAKER_03: No, never that.
• 29:43
SPEAKER_00: Half of my family is Italian.
• 29:45
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 29:48
  SPEAKER_00: That's that's what I know.
• 29:50
SPEAKER_03: I wonder if this the toy soprano still gats.
• 29:54
SPEAKER_00: Well, oh, I know, yeah, I know that.
• 29:57
  SPEAKER_02: Ay, Maron.
• 29:59
SPEAKER_00: Um I know that in New York, you speak but but that's right.
• 30:08
SPEAKER_00: You don't have to have an Italian family or live in an Italian neighborhood to be New Yorkers at least those three Italian words.
• 30:15
SPEAKER_03: So you and if you're a true New Yorker, you speak Italian, you speak Spanish, Yiddish, Yiddish, and that's all like that's one language.
• 30:26
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 30:27
SPEAKER_00: That's those three and you know, like so we used to have the um from the Chinese restaurant, the delivery guy, so all we ever knew was Lehuma.
• 30:38
SPEAKER_00: Because that's what he used to say.
• 30:40
SPEAKER_00: I learned how to say bitch.
• 30:42
  SPEAKER_03: I think it's in mandarin.
• 30:44
SPEAKER_03: I think I learned how to say bitch.
• 30:45
  SPEAKER_03: I think in mandarin.
• 30:46
SPEAKER_03: I don't think it's I think it was mandarin, but yeah, so wait, I forgot.
• 30:50
SPEAKER_00: Probably the word we hear in the in the in the manny petty place in the nail salon.
• 30:54
SPEAKER_03: They speak aren't they mostly Vietnamese?
• 30:57
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 31:00
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know, I can't.
• 31:03
SPEAKER_03: Um I know back to our I don't speak any Asian.
• 31:09
SPEAKER_00: I don't speak any Asian uh like any of those languages: Japanese, Chinese, Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, Indian.
• 31:20
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 31:21
SPEAKER_02: I don't think any of those none of the Asian.
• 31:25
SPEAKER_00: Kurie, is that an Indian?
• 31:27
  SPEAKER_02: I think that's so fucked up.
• 31:32
SPEAKER_00: Oh um, I know it's I know Greek! Opa! Got the diners.
• 31:39
SPEAKER_00: I can't we you know um Sayanara.
• 31:44
  SPEAKER_00: Uh that's Japanese, right?
• 31:46
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there is this.
• 31:47
  SPEAKER_02: I remember I was at work.
• 31:48
SPEAKER_00: Oh nihao! We know nihao.
• 31:51
  SPEAKER_00: That's Mandarin, right?
• 31:53
  SPEAKER_03: Is it I don't know.
• 31:57
  SPEAKER_00: Chinese.
• 31:58
  SPEAKER_03: Okay.
• 31:59
SPEAKER_00: So isn't isn't Mandarin the more popular language?
• 32:02
  SPEAKER_00: I believe so.
• 32:03
SPEAKER_00: Another one, but I don't remember the name of it.
• 32:05
  SPEAKER_03: Cantonese.
• 32:06
  SPEAKER_00: Cantonese.
• 32:08
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, like the food.
• 32:16
SPEAKER_00: I'm really fucked up right now.
• 32:24
SPEAKER_02: You can't edit anything out.
• 32:25
SPEAKER_00: Um I will I will have to no promises.
• 32:28
  SPEAKER_00: I can't offend people.
• 32:29
  SPEAKER_00: I don't want to offend anybody.
• 32:31
SPEAKER_00: Um because I really don't mean anything bad, but I I don't know what I'm saying right now.
• 32:39
SPEAKER_00: Okay, back to our not get tested.
• 32:45
SPEAKER_00: Participants, participants, oh yeah, we were talking about Vaughn.
• 32:50
  SPEAKER_03: Vaughn.
• 32:51
SPEAKER_03: Oh yes, yeah, but by wrong uh accent.
• 32:54
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think he decides to vlog.
• 32:57
SPEAKER_00: He spent 11 years in the air force and he was 13 when his dad passed.
• 33:03
SPEAKER_00: So basically, I just gave you the bullet points on our people, and I just saved you about 45 minutes of episode.
• 33:14
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
• 33:14
SPEAKER_03: Episode one is just like meet the people.
• 33:17
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 33:18
SPEAKER_00: Um, there was a part You don't really see where Jamie lives though, right?
• 33:24
SPEAKER_03: No, this we're gonna get to Libby's situations later.
• 33:29
SPEAKER_00: But just because in the in the intro episode, like you see, like Monet lives in her, like she has her own little apartment.
• 33:38
SPEAKER_00: Courtney shares, Doug lives with his parents, Jason lives with his mom.
• 33:42
SPEAKER_00: They didn't do that for Jamie.
• 33:45
  SPEAKER_00: They didn't?
• 33:46
  SPEAKER_00: I don't think so.
• 33:47
  SPEAKER_00: I don't remember seeing that.
• 33:49
SPEAKER_03: But she also um did they talk about in this episode?
• 33:54
SPEAKER_03: She became guardian of her four siblings.
• 33:56
SPEAKER_03: Right when she was 19.
• 33:58
SPEAKER_00: I don't even remember noticing Jamie until the end of the episode when they were talking about that, and I was like, who the fuck is this chick?
• 34:04
SPEAKER_00: They talk they there was a scene where she was coming out the hospital, yeah.
• 34:09
SPEAKER_00: But it was so brief that I don't think I really like, but anyway.
• 34:13
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, right.
• 34:13
SPEAKER_00: Um, and Vaughn, who also seems to live by himself, take off your shoes.
• 34:20
SPEAKER_03: I'm not mad at your I mean he I didn't like him.
• 34:23
  SPEAKER_03: Let's talk about Vaughn.
• 34:24
SPEAKER_03: So we talk about him.
• 34:26
SPEAKER_03: He for me was just okay, so I'm not too upset at the whole gender role.
• 34:38
SPEAKER_03: I don't know how I feel about the gender role submissiveness.
• 34:43
  SPEAKER_03: I'm not at I'm not anti-submissiveness, I'm anti-subservience with the difference, right?
• 34:50
SPEAKER_03: That being said, for a woman to submit to you as a man, you need you need to respect her so she could trust you to submit to you.
• 34:59
SPEAKER_03: And a lot of men don't understand that.
• 35:02
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so my thing going into I'm like, okay, I see where you might be going, let's see how this works.
• 35:10
SPEAKER_03: I don't know if you're going to respect her enough as a strong woman so she can feel comfortable to submit to you.
• 35:17
  SPEAKER_03: Let's see what happens.
• 35:18
SPEAKER_00: That was my whole thing with him because he gave me off that whole that wasn't gonna happen, but so my thoughts on Vaughn initially are I personally don't or try not to subscribe too much to gender roles for myself.
• 35:38
SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm more of a I'll do whatever the fuck I want role.
• 35:43
SPEAKER_00: Um and I try to uh teach my kids the same.
• 35:48
SPEAKER_00: However, I don't fault people or look down on anyone if that's if that's what you subscribe to, but I do think that in general people should be open with who they are.
• 36:07
SPEAKER_00: So in this sense, Vaughn wants that, and I don't think that that's an issue, but I think that if that's something that you expect, then that needs to be communicated clearly before you enter into a relationship because something's so simple like that, and I don't say simple as in like oh it's what's the big deal for cook for your man or whatever, it's simple as in it's so simple to express that you believe in traditional gender roles.
• 36:42
  SPEAKER_00: That's the side that's what I'm simple.
• 36:44
SPEAKER_00: Like um that will ruin a whole fucking marriage.
• 36:51
SPEAKER_00: Because if you meet me and we're married, and then tomorrow you're like, all right, mama, go get into the kitchen and cook me up some dinner.
• 37:03
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna look at you and let me know.
• 37:07
SPEAKER_00: Now, granted, I cook dinner more nights than not.
• 37:13
SPEAKER_00: My schedule allows for it most more so than his.
• 37:18
SPEAKER_00: But there are plenty of weekends where he's home and he's like, What do you want to eat?
• 37:23
SPEAKER_00: And he will go to the store, he will buy the ingredients, he will cook the dinner.
• 37:28
SPEAKER_00: He doesn't clean up so much after he's done, but he'll he'll serve me and bring me a glass of wine.
• 37:35
SPEAKER_03: And and I've been privy to this, you guys.
• 37:39
  SPEAKER_03: This is fact.
• 37:41
SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying that he you know he splits all the duties with me, but he it's not equal, but it's equitable.
• 37:50
SPEAKER_00: No, but he he he does as much as he can.
• 37:52
  SPEAKER_00: Right, it's equitable.
• 37:54
  SPEAKER_00: You know, yeah.
• 37:55
SPEAKER_00: I mean, no, actually, no, but but sometimes neither do I, so whatever.
• 37:59
  SPEAKER_00: But it works out.
• 38:00
SPEAKER_00: No, it does, and it's not like I have to tell him to do no.
• 38:04
SPEAKER_00: So fine, but that's but that's the relationship that we've accepted.
• 38:09
SPEAKER_00: Now, if tomorrow he turns around and says, Okay, you know what?
• 38:14
SPEAKER_00: You're the you're the female, so you're gonna cook and you're gonna clean and you're gonna bring up the children, I'm gonna say, okay, that's fine, and we'll do it somewhere else.
• 38:23
  SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah.
• 38:27
SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so I though those those are my thoughts on Vaughn's gender roles, and sorry, they went on a long time, and also the whole shoes in the house thing.
• 38:38
SPEAKER_00: One, I prefer no shoes in the house, two, if you keep your shoes on, uh like I'm not gonna get mad about it because like listen, I have a fucking dog that goes outside and then comes in the house, so whatever.
• 38:54
SPEAKER_00: Some germs are good for us, and three, I have seen the no shoes in the house, but I'm leaving my shoe on fight happen at a family member's house, and it was terrible.
• 39:06
SPEAKER_00: And it's not worth it.
• 39:08
SPEAKER_00: I um I'll tell you, just not on the air.
• 39:12
  SPEAKER_03: My cat's snoring.
• 39:14
  SPEAKER_00: I hear him.
• 39:14
SPEAKER_03: We lived in when we lived in Brooklyn.
• 39:16
SPEAKER_03: I had we had hardwood floors.
• 39:19
SPEAKER_03: And was it and we had I'm trying to think.
• 39:24
  SPEAKER_03: We left, okay.
• 39:25
SPEAKER_03: If this if it wasn't that bad weather, we left our shoes in the foyer.
• 39:31
SPEAKER_03: If it wasn't, we just we walked in the house with our shoes on.
• 39:35
SPEAKER_03: But once we got like, if I can remember correctly, but once we got like settled and took our shoes off for the day, we walked around in socks or backboard or whatever.
• 39:44
  SPEAKER_03: It wouldn't make a difference.
• 39:45
SPEAKER_03: Like, she really, my mother wasn't, but she always cleaned, she cleaned 24-7.
• 39:49
SPEAKER_03: Um my cat stories like in my ear.
• 39:55
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I was gonna say, like, do you think you could move him?
• 39:57
SPEAKER_00: Because it's like right in my ear.
• 39:59
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know how much I can edit out.
• 40:02
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, poor baby.
• 40:03
SPEAKER_03: He'll go right back to sleep.
• 40:05
SPEAKER_03: Um, the I think he was talking to his friends, and I remember he was like, Oh, I hope she can cook, and I hope she's cute.
• 40:14
  SPEAKER_00: Might like listen.
• 40:17
SPEAKER_00: But I'm not even mad at that because he was being honest with who he was.
• 40:22
  SPEAKER_03: I know, but I feel like that's all you're mad about.
• 40:24
SPEAKER_03: Like, that's all I just feel like those are only things is that the right.
• 40:28
SPEAKER_03: All right, wait a minute.
• 40:28
  SPEAKER_03: Wait a minute, wait a minute.
• 40:29
  SPEAKER_03: Those things are important.
• 40:31
  SPEAKER_03: I hope she's cute.
• 40:32
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, that's fine.
• 40:34
SPEAKER_00: What would you have said?
• 40:36
  SPEAKER_00: I hope what?
• 40:38
  SPEAKER_03: Oh shit.
• 40:39
  SPEAKER_03: I'm so desperately bleed.
• 40:41
  SPEAKER_03: I hope he's breathing.
• 40:42
SPEAKER_03: Like, I can't ask me right now.
• 40:44
SPEAKER_00: I would say, I would probably say, I hope he's cute and I hope he's good in bed.
• 40:50
  SPEAKER_00: That's probably what I would say.
• 40:52
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, to be fair.
• 40:53
SPEAKER_03: I think it was just a conjunction with the gender roles, yeah, and that's all he cared about.
• 40:58
SPEAKER_03: And I just think individually, not so much, but together, I'm like, do you want a spouse?
• 41:06
SPEAKER_03: Do you want a partner?
• 41:07
SPEAKER_00: He wants no, he wants a glorified mom.
• 41:10
SPEAKER_00: Right, and I feel like later when his mom was talking to him, she was like hold with him though.
• 41:17
SPEAKER_00: Did did you feel that too?
• 41:20
SPEAKER_03: I feel like um just a tad bit, and then she's like, Did she don't do is that the one she don't do compromise?
• 41:26
SPEAKER_03: Yes, and she was like, 'cause you could cook too.
• 41:30
SPEAKER_00: Um she probably she knows her son.
• 41:34
SPEAKER_00: She was like, she was like, hello, son.
• 41:36
SPEAKER_00: Like it was very like European white people.
• 41:41
SPEAKER_00: You know, like very cold, very um.
• 41:47
SPEAKER_03: So I have just like I've come across like friends and family.
• 42:00
SPEAKER_03: Okay, my cousin, I gotta get you Jasmine.
• 42:05
SPEAKER_03: So we got really close when I moved to Wisconsin.
• 42:08
SPEAKER_03: She's originally from Tennessee, also, so we're both like just fucking lost in a fucking Wisconsin.
• 42:15
SPEAKER_03: But anyway, and they have a habit of instead of calling you by your name or whatever, they're like, hey cousin, or if I'm talking to you, hey friend.
• 42:27
SPEAKER_03: And I have an acquaintance here.
• 42:30
SPEAKER_03: She's like, Hi, son, like she calls her son, but it's like as as their title is then is the term of a deer man.
• 42:38
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay.
• 42:39
SPEAKER_03: So I and it's I'm just now getting used to hearing that.
• 42:42
SPEAKER_03: Like she's like, Cousin, hey cousin, hi oh my friend.
• 42:46
SPEAKER_03: Hey, so I'm getting so I don't remember how his mother said it on the show.
• 42:51
  SPEAKER_03: I don't remember.
• 42:52
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know.
• 42:53
  SPEAKER_03: I know she just say son, but I don't I don't I don't remember the tone, I don't remember how the tone was.
• 42:58
  SPEAKER_03: Right.
• 42:58
SPEAKER_03: That's something I just started hearing since I left New York, but it's not it's not an East Coast thing.
• 43:04
SPEAKER_03: No, no, it's not an East Coast thing.
• 43:06
SPEAKER_03: I hear it in the Midwest here a lot.
• 43:08
SPEAKER_03: My cousin down south, like that, they call like your title has become a terminal dear me, also.
• 43:17
SPEAKER_03: So, yeah, I know, all right.
• 43:19
SPEAKER_03: I'm just giving you all right wrinkles.
• 43:21
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 43:22
SPEAKER_03: Holy shit, is this how you feel when we do lost?
• 43:26
SPEAKER_00: A little bit a little bit, but it's not really because you're just gonna forget.
• 43:32
  SPEAKER_00: Good point.
• 43:33
SPEAKER_00: So it's just it's just like a crease, you know, it's not even a wrinkle.
• 43:41
SPEAKER_03: Well, my brain is full of wrinkles, so there's only so much space left.
• 43:46
  SPEAKER_03: I wonder what happens.
• 43:47
SPEAKER_03: Like, does your brain run out of space for wrinkles?
• 43:50
  SPEAKER_03: Like, you stuck.
• 43:52
SPEAKER_03: Like, can you already learn so much?
• 43:55
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 43:56
  SPEAKER_00: Could we go?
• 43:57
SPEAKER_00: Isn't like most of our brain unused?
• 44:01
SPEAKER_02: Some people are un some people don't have to use any of their brain.
• 44:05
SPEAKER_02: I'm just no, but I just wonder like, like, is that a wrinkled?
• 44:08
SPEAKER_02: Like, do you feel like the wrinkles developing?
• 44:11
SPEAKER_02: Okay, some people I think they have like Botox with their brain because there's like nothing there.
• 44:16
SPEAKER_02: Some people need it, but no, there's no knowledge whatsoever, no wrinkles.
• 44:22
SPEAKER_02: And I work with some of them, I'm just joking.
• 44:25
  SPEAKER_02: With me anymore.
• 44:28
  SPEAKER_00: Just kidding.
• 44:30
  SPEAKER_00: I know I'm not.
• 44:30
  SPEAKER_00: No, I'm not.
• 44:32
SPEAKER_00: Hopefully they don't work with me anymore soon.
• 44:34
  SPEAKER_03: But so who's next?
• 44:36
  SPEAKER_03: Doug?
• 44:36
SPEAKER_03: You want to talk about Dougie?
• 44:38
  SPEAKER_03: Dougie Fresh?
• 44:40
  SPEAKER_03: Dougie Doug.
• 44:41
SPEAKER_03: What are your thoughts on Dougie Fresh?
• 44:43
SPEAKER_03: That's his name now for the and until I get the season's over.
• 44:47
SPEAKER_00: He's as fresh as a subway sandwich, okay?
• 44:50
  SPEAKER_00: Like he yeah.
• 44:54
SPEAKER_03: But he's so fresh, he's so cool.
• 44:56
  SPEAKER_03: He's a sweet guy.
• 44:58
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he definitely seems like a really, really kind-hearted person.
• 45:05
SPEAKER_00: And I like that he's really close with his family.
• 45:09
SPEAKER_00: At first, I was like, ugh.
• 45:13
SPEAKER_00: But I know it sounds so bad, I'm sorry, but but he just like the more I watched him, the more I'm like, oh.
• 45:23
SPEAKER_00: Like I don't want to kiss him or anything.
• 45:25
  SPEAKER_00: But like, you know.
• 45:26
SPEAKER_03: For me, I'm just watching it as a viewer.
• 45:29
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, like your person, like not my type.
• 45:34
SPEAKER_03: But he becomes this sounds so fucking stupid.
• 45:36
SPEAKER_03: I don't mean to be, he becomes more and more attractive.
• 45:40
SPEAKER_03: Like he's one of those people's personality is outshines right everything.
• 45:46
  SPEAKER_03: He's not hideous.
• 45:47
  SPEAKER_03: Don't get me wrong.
• 45:47
SPEAKER_03: He's not the hunchback and look it down at all.
• 45:50
SPEAKER_03: No, he's just by any means, not my type, but you can see how how he would attract a person.
• 45:57
  SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
• 45:58
SPEAKER_00: Like, oh, I didn't know one of the experts said it, right?
• 46:00
SPEAKER_00: Like, oh, some people don't believe that you could like if it's not there in the first meeting, you don't but I don't I know that's not true.
• 46:12
SPEAKER_00: Like, I know that that's not true.
• 46:13
SPEAKER_00: Like, you could definitely have somebody that you're like, oh, whatever.
• 46:20
SPEAKER_00: Like, how many times do people have their friends and then all of a sudden it's like, oh wait, you know, where like people are they start off at friends, like hello, look at me and Alex.
• 46:34
SPEAKER_00: Has it known each other fifth decrate?
• 46:36
SPEAKER_00: I feel like what high school?
• 46:38
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 46:39
SPEAKER_03: My god, that's the babies.
• 46:41
SPEAKER_00: We knew each other before we got together, but it wasn't like anything.
• 46:47
SPEAKER_00: And and then it was kind of like, oh, wait a minute.
• 46:49
SPEAKER_03: Like, when did this happen?
• 46:51
SPEAKER_03: Like, how does it I mean I've met I've met men that have talked to me and they weren't my type, but I by the end of the conversation, I'm like, I'm feeling this dude, like because of who he is, and they become attractive.
• 47:06
SPEAKER_00: I become all about looks, and I think that that's really one of the nice things about the experiment.
• 47:13
SPEAKER_03: You get to know you it forces you to know someone as a person if you're open-minded enough.
• 47:20
  SPEAKER_03: Our next one, okay.
• 47:21
SPEAKER_03: We talked about what's the name again, the EMT?
• 47:24
  SPEAKER_00: Jason.
• 47:26
SPEAKER_03: Brooklyn Jason, Jason Boogie, Boogie Down Jason.
• 47:29
  SPEAKER_03: No, that's Bronx.
• 47:34
SPEAKER_03: I got the nickname for Jason.
• 47:36
SPEAKER_00: Okay, it'll come to you.
• 47:38
  SPEAKER_03: Jason had me.
• 47:39
  SPEAKER_03: I'm like, okay, he's a great guy, he's a great kid.
• 47:42
SPEAKER_03: What I was just like, okay, he's still young when he was saying he had all these other things he's doing, fair.
• 47:48
SPEAKER_03: And then he's like, I hope she can live with that.
• 47:51
SPEAKER_03: Like, dude, that's not what marriage is.
• 47:53
SPEAKER_03: Like, like, no, it gave me the pressure.
• 47:57
SPEAKER_03: He's like, I'm gonna do all this stuff.
• 47:58
SPEAKER_03: She, I hope she can come to terms with that, as opposed to um, how about we guys we could?
• 48:06
SPEAKER_03: I hope we'll be able to compromise and work something out.
• 48:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I so I I see how you're interested in the world.
• 48:15
SPEAKER_03: It's one of those, it's things like I don't know how you like I'm listening to this and like I don't know how he meant it.
• 48:21
SPEAKER_03: And I'm hoping that if you mean it in the best possible way.
• 48:27
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 48:27
SPEAKER_00: That's how I took it, that he understands that he has a lot going on on his plate.
• 48:35
  SPEAKER_00: What happened?
• 48:37
SPEAKER_03: I put too much in my cup, and it just shocked me because the other one was perfectly balanced with the now.
• 48:45
SPEAKER_03: This is like whoo alcohol.
• 48:51
SPEAKER_00: And that he realizes that was a good drink.
• 49:02
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 49:06
  SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
• 49:11
  SPEAKER_05: Go on.
• 49:13
SPEAKER_00: I took it to understand it as he knows that he has a lot going on with the wrestling, the EMT, and that you know, he wants to be a firefighter, and that he hopes that you know she's okay with that, as in like yes, he's not gonna compromise.
• 49:32
SPEAKER_00: And I don't I feel like he shouldn't necessarily have to give up on what he you know his dreams are, but that also he realizes that it's a big ask and he hopes that she's okay with it.
• 49:45
  SPEAKER_03: Is there a way?
• 49:46
  SPEAKER_03: I don't know if it's even possible.
• 49:50
SPEAKER_03: Like, no, I would not want my spouse who I didn't know to give up all his hopes and dreams and hobbies and stuff.
• 50:00
SPEAKER_03: I wouldn't want that, but at the same time as your wife, I have I can't come in six.
• 50:07
SPEAKER_03: Well, at the same time.
• 50:09
SPEAKER_03: One of the things So, how do you work that out?
• 50:12
  SPEAKER_03: You'll see.
• 50:13
SPEAKER_00: Well, oh, because I was gonna say that when they were talking to these people to, you know, to match them up, one of the questions that they said was like, what is like a deal breaker or like a hard no or something?
• 50:27
SPEAKER_00: And somebody was like a face tattoo, um, oh that, and then Vaughn was like, oh, she can't be skinny, like she has to have curves.
• 50:39
SPEAKER_00: Like she, you know, she can't be like thin.
• 50:44
SPEAKER_00: Um I forgot like what a bunch of them said, but they but they were given an opportunity to say, like, listen, what is like your, you know, what's not gonna work for you.
• 50:56
SPEAKER_00: So I guess that would have been where they could have said, like, oh, somebody who's too ambitious and won't have time for me.
• 51:01
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 51:02
  SPEAKER_00: Probably not.
• 51:02
SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's one of those things that's to be fair, also, they're still young, so they don't know that's that hard no either.
• 51:11
SPEAKER_03: Like, I think something that's uh too ambitious, no time for me.
• 51:16
SPEAKER_03: You that's something you learn as you have relationships.
• 51:21
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, long-term, short term, multiple, and in that case, they're still in the early.
• 51:27
SPEAKER_03: I think you know this how many relationships have you had?
• 51:31
SPEAKER_03: Right, where you have you're or you're dating a professional, right?
• 51:35
SPEAKER_03: I think the oldest one was 31.
• 51:37
  SPEAKER_03: That's Doug.
• 51:39
  SPEAKER_00: Monet, 33.
• 51:41
  SPEAKER_03: She's 33.
• 51:43
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she looks younger.
• 51:45
  SPEAKER_03: Black don't crack.
• 51:46
  SPEAKER_03: Yes, I said it.
• 51:48
SPEAKER_03: Um, but let's say Courtney, but Courtney and Jason specifically, they're still very young.
• 51:54
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, she's 26 and he's 27.
• 51:57
SPEAKER_03: God, I feel like they're babies in a good way.
• 52:01
SPEAKER_03: Um, so that's not something I think I didn't that wasn't one I don't think that became one of my things until later on in life.
• 52:14
SPEAKER_03: Until I had someone who was a professional and that couldn't, you know what I mean?
• 52:19
SPEAKER_03: So I think that's some things you learn with experience about what a hard no is.
• 52:24
SPEAKER_00: Is there anything else you want to talk about with Jason?
• 52:26
SPEAKER_03: I don't think so, because that sip is kicking in.
• 52:33
  SPEAKER_00: Jamie?
• 52:35
  SPEAKER_00: Anything on her?
• 52:36
  SPEAKER_00: I liked her.
• 52:38
  SPEAKER_00: I did like her.
• 52:40
SPEAKER_00: Like the um like the the caboose?
• 52:43
SPEAKER_00: Like what's the like the like the sleeper?
• 52:51
SPEAKER_02: Like the you're doing train cars and I don't know what you're trying to get at.
• 52:58
  SPEAKER_02: Um take another sip.
• 53:03
SPEAKER_00: Maybe like the quiet one, like the like the one that sneaks up from behind and becomes like the like a oh my god, I know what you're talking about.
• 53:15
  SPEAKER_03: Now I can't oh shit.
• 53:20
  SPEAKER_03: I know it's a like not the underdog.
• 53:26
  SPEAKER_03: I know you're talking.
• 53:27
SPEAKER_03: I oh man, I know you're trying to get at she is phone a friend.
• 53:36
SPEAKER_03: I would call you, Lisa.
• 53:37
SPEAKER_03: Let me what's the not the dog horse?
• 53:41
SPEAKER_00: Um yes, is that it?
• 53:43
SPEAKER_03: Is that is that it?
• 53:45
  SPEAKER_03: She's actually photographer.
• 53:47
  SPEAKER_03: Yes, that's it.
• 53:48
SPEAKER_03: A dark horse is a previously lesser-known person, team, or thing that emerges to prominence in a situation, especially in a competition involving blah blah blah blah blah.
• 53:59
  SPEAKER_00: I watched, oh yeah.
• 54:00
SPEAKER_00: Okay, yes, I'm glad you can read my mind.
• 54:04
SPEAKER_00: I know it's so it's so boomy in there.
• 54:10
  SPEAKER_00: Thanks, thanks, buddy.
• 54:13
SPEAKER_00: Oh I feel like Jamie is the dark horse of the show.
• 54:18
SPEAKER_00: I feel like she didn't get a lot of like screen time in the beginning, and they don't really give you too much about her, but I feel like she's why are you smiling?
• 54:29
  SPEAKER_00: Because I'm drunk.
• 54:31
  SPEAKER_00: You liar.
• 54:34
SPEAKER_00: I don't want to talk about Jamie anymore.
• 54:36
SPEAKER_00: We don't talk about Bruno, we don't talk about Jamie.
• 54:39
SPEAKER_03: I really want to start singing the song right now, but um Jamie.
• 54:45
  SPEAKER_00: Good thing of Jamie.
• 54:47
SPEAKER_00: Baby said, We don't talk about Jamie.
• 54:49
SPEAKER_03: I like Jamie at first in the show.
• 54:51
SPEAKER_03: When I first watched, I'm like, I liked her, but I was like, who is she?
• 54:55
SPEAKER_03: Like she just like you know, when you could like see the walls being like built up, like the bricks being laid up, laid down, and the wall just going up.
• 55:03
SPEAKER_03: She's very just like closed off, but not in a negative way, right?
• 55:09
SPEAKER_03: You know, people are closed off, but just like you're like, oh fuck you then.
• 55:12
SPEAKER_03: She's closed off, like uh, and I think it has a lot to do with the fact that her growing up and she had to protect herself emotionally, right?
• 55:21
SPEAKER_03: And she had to protect herself and her siblings.
• 55:24
SPEAKER_00: But I have I'll I'll I'm gonna talk about her a little bit more like afterwards, like after when we get to like the weddings and stuff.
• 55:32
  SPEAKER_03: Copy that, boss.
• 55:35
  SPEAKER_00: Monet.
• 55:36
  SPEAKER_03: Monet.
• 55:38
  SPEAKER_03: I like Monet.
• 55:40
  SPEAKER_03: Um, that's all I can say.
• 55:41
  SPEAKER_03: I like her.
• 55:42
SPEAKER_03: I she seems she has a good head on her shoulder.
• 55:45
  SPEAKER_03: She seems to be.
• 55:47
  SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
• 55:48
SPEAKER_00: I just nothing's very normal, very well-rounded, very yeah.
• 55:52
SPEAKER_03: There's nothing I can't think of anything specifically, but as a whole, she's she seems like a tongue of her teeth too many times.
• 56:00
  SPEAKER_00: Uh okay.
• 56:01
SPEAKER_00: How did you I you didn't catch it?
• 56:03
SPEAKER_00: Like all the every time she like speaks, she does it.
• 56:07
SPEAKER_00: No, it's just one of the things, and then the more you notice it, the more she does it, and then the more you keep noticing it.
• 56:12
SPEAKER_00: Now I'm gonna watch okay.
• 56:19
SPEAKER_03: What ticks do I have that you find annoying now?
• 56:22
  SPEAKER_03: I need to know.
• 56:22
  SPEAKER_03: I have I'm sure I have something.
• 56:25
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 56:25
SPEAKER_03: I'll let you know when I will.
• 56:29
  SPEAKER_00: Do you wanna know?
• 56:30
SPEAKER_00: I don't think this is something we should talk about.
• 56:32
  SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just kidding.
• 56:33
  SPEAKER_02: I wanna know.
• 56:34
  SPEAKER_00: No, it's not a I don't know.
• 56:37
SPEAKER_02: I'm stuck on my tongue and my teeth now.
• 56:42
SPEAKER_00: Anyway, okay, Courtney, know you.
• 56:46
SPEAKER_03: I like Courtney, I think she's cute the button.
• 56:48
SPEAKER_03: I like the Hall of Wives, I like most of the guys.
• 56:51
SPEAKER_03: I just didn't like Vaughn, and that's pretty much it as a whole.
• 56:58
  SPEAKER_03: Right.
• 57:00
SPEAKER_00: After we get to know the individuals, then we find out who they are paired with.
• 57:06
SPEAKER_00: And I feel like this was such a gimme.
• 57:11
SPEAKER_03: Well, they don't really leave you with they're not gonna like for future if you do more seasons, they don't really leave you in suspense on who is who.
• 57:19
  SPEAKER_00: That's yeah.
• 57:20
SPEAKER_03: So then I mean it's not like any me like you they they kind of set you up that you're not gonna like right enough, they don't know mystery, right?
• 57:29
SPEAKER_03: It's like they already don't know, at least we can know.
• 57:34
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so it's Doug and Jamie, Courtney and Jason, and Vaughn and Monet.
• 57:42
SPEAKER_00: When the towards the end of the first episode, they're like just getting ready for their wedding.
• 57:48
SPEAKER_00: Because they they didn't really have to do a lot of the wedding planning, but they still had to do some.
• 57:53
SPEAKER_00: Like basically, the experts told them, We found you a match, and you're getting married in like a week.
• 58:00
SPEAKER_00: So they still had to pick like their bridal party and their dresses and stuff, and I think the music, like the wedding song, but I think that that was it, right?
• 58:15
SPEAKER_00: Like they don't have to plan anything else.
• 58:17
SPEAKER_03: Um, this first season I don't remember what they picked, and I don't know, like I know other seasons what they had they had say in, and I don't know if it changed or it just wasn't discussed.
• 58:32
SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay, so then we won't talk about it.
• 58:33
SPEAKER_03: But that's pretty much like that's pretty much the whole that's it.
• 58:38
SPEAKER_03: That's the MO for the wedding.
• 58:40
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 58:41
SPEAKER_03: Next the following seasons, yeah, it gets fun.
• 58:45
SPEAKER_03: Um this season is uh and I kind of like this about this season.
• 58:50
SPEAKER_03: Their friends and family didn't even know until they told them, like they didn't know they signed up for it, they knew nothing.
• 58:57
SPEAKER_03: By the way, I'm getting married.
• 58:59
SPEAKER_03: I signed up like they're like, wait, what the fuck?
• 59:02
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 59:04
SPEAKER_03: And this is not a not gonna be a spoiler, but later on, I guess because the show becomes popular and they talk about it, like, hey, remember when I signed up for Left First America First Sight?
• 59:16
SPEAKER_03: Well, they picked me, so now their friends.
• 59:19
SPEAKER_03: Oh, I see so this is like the first two, maybe two, maybe three seasons.
• 59:24
  SPEAKER_03: I don't remember.
• 59:25
SPEAKER_03: But they're like their friends and family don't know, and they're like their reactions are completely genuine.
• 59:32
SPEAKER_03: You're like, what the actual fuck?
• 59:34
  SPEAKER_03: And I love that.
• 59:35
SPEAKER_03: Like going back to watch it now, I'm like, ha ha!
• 59:38
SPEAKER_00: But like how what the actual fuck could how much what the actual fuck could they be when there's like, hey, by the way, we're gonna bring a television production crew in here, but but you gotta act like nothing is going on.
• 59:54
SPEAKER_03: Point on, you know what?
• 59:56
SPEAKER_03: That bugged me out because I just I still was trying to figure it out because some of them look like, what do you mean you're getting married?
• 1:00:04
SPEAKER_03: No, I don't I I and I figure, like, I'm like, how did they do I I was like, how did they like how do they first talk show?
• 1:00:12
SPEAKER_00: They probably say, Hey, I'm going to be part of a reality show.
• 1:00:16
SPEAKER_03: Like maybe kind of like how do they get the cameras up there and they have this genre of action?
• 1:00:20
SPEAKER_03: That how they did that always confused me, but you probably said that.
• 1:00:25
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like they just didn't know what the talk should be.
• 1:00:27
SPEAKER_03: To tell them, you know, or Jerry Springer to like break the after the first season, you knew it was gonna be bad, so why could go on it?
• 1:00:35
SPEAKER_00: But um, anyway, um, but yeah, so they they it's probably a real reaction, like they really didn't know that that's what they were gonna say, but obviously they knew something was up because you're being filmed.
• 1:00:49
SPEAKER_00: Anyway, the day of the weddings, you know, they're all getting married, they're all like they're all getting married, obviously, they're all getting ready for their weddings, and um, Courtney is so cute.
• 1:01:05
SPEAKER_00: She sent Jason a card before the ceremony, and I thought that that was cute.
• 1:01:13
SPEAKER_02: They are the cutest couple I've ever done seen.
• 1:01:17
SPEAKER_00: And I thought it was interesting that obviously, like, the friends in the family are there.
• 1:01:29
SPEAKER_00: So when the groom walks in, the groom walks in first, you know, so he could be at the altar, but he's seeing the family, and they're getting to see him, like like her family is getting to see him before even she does.
• 1:01:48
SPEAKER_03: I didn't realize you know what I'm knowing that, yeah, but I really never realized the juxtaposition of the situation until now.
• 1:01:57
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because it goes right back to like a matchmaking situation where the family knows before the what you know.
• 1:02:03
  SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
• 1:02:05
SPEAKER_00: Because I think it was Jason where he comes down and her friends are like, oh, or whoever they are, but they're on her side and they're like, Oh, he's cute.
• 1:02:14
  SPEAKER_00: I would expect that's right.
• 1:02:16
SPEAKER_00: Like they're seeing him for the first time too.
• 1:02:19
  SPEAKER_03: Um, I think one of the I think I don't know.
• 1:02:23
SPEAKER_02: I'm watching two different seasons at the same time.
• 1:02:26
SPEAKER_02: Someone watching the current season too.
• 1:02:29
SPEAKER_03: Um, I don't know if it's this season or next season of the current season or the next episode.
• 1:02:35
SPEAKER_03: But when I do do this, I'm gonna need you and Angie to send me a text, like bitch, run.
• 1:02:41
SPEAKER_03: I guess you guys need to send me the heads up, okay?
• 1:02:45
  SPEAKER_03: Run, bitch, run.
• 1:02:47
SPEAKER_00: Um what happens if well I like my assumption is that when they get to the altar and they're like, oh, do you?
• 1:02:58
SPEAKER_00: And you have to say I do.
• 1:03:00
SPEAKER_00: I would assume that if you don't say I do, you're in like breach of contract somehow.
• 1:03:06
  SPEAKER_00: Like with the production.
• 1:03:11
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
• 1:03:13
SPEAKER_00: She made the like zipper her mouth shut and throw away the key gesture.
• 1:03:18
SPEAKER_00: So don't say Well, but as I thought about it, like when we get to the end of the episode, we see so like in the first episode, we see all the grooms at the altar and and then the brides getting ready.
• 1:03:32
SPEAKER_00: But the only bride that we see is Jamie walking down the aisle to Doug to get Doug.
• 1:03:40
SPEAKER_00: And you can see how nervous she is.
• 1:03:43
SPEAKER_00: Um and then and and how unattracted she is to him.
• 1:03:50
SPEAKER_00: And he is just like, oh my god, she's so pretty.
• 1:03:53
SPEAKER_00: Like she he is just beaming.
• 1:03:57
SPEAKER_00: But they leave the episode like the episode goes off before she could say, I do.
• 1:04:04
SPEAKER_00: They're like, Oh, Jamie, do you take and she's just like sorry.
• 1:04:10
SPEAKER_00: But you already know she's not like if they leave the episode like that, she's not gonna she's not gonna say no.
• 1:04:19
SPEAKER_00: But anyway, at least not at that moment, but before I was allowed to watch a second episode, I had to make sure I had my notes.
• 1:04:34
SPEAKER_00: So what I did is I I made a ranking from one to ten and I ranked the couples.
• 1:04:43
SPEAKER_00: So I gave Doug and Jamie a nine.
• 1:04:47
SPEAKER_03: A nine as to like they'll stay together, like out of ten, like that they'll that they'll work.
• 1:04:53
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, I got it.
• 1:04:54
SPEAKER_00: And the reason I did that is simply because of how you said with Jamie.
• 1:04:59
SPEAKER_00: Um because I think that she was just really overwhelmed, and she's really a kind of person who is tends to be on like the introverted side, and it was a lot for her to take in, but she also seems like the kind of person who deals with adversity and she dried, and so all she needs is just a little bit of time to uh to grasp the situation and to understand it.
• 1:05:30
SPEAKER_00: And Doug also seems like a kind of person who can be patient and who can be understanding, and I think that those two qualities will work together with like a little bit of understanding and time.
• 1:05:50
SPEAKER_00: Courtney and Jason, I gave a seven.
• 1:05:56
SPEAKER_00: And I gave a seven because I think that they'll work in the short term because they're both cute.
• 1:06:02
  SPEAKER_00: Right?
• 1:06:04
SPEAKER_00: And I think that it'll work for as long as they don't look past that.
• 1:06:10
SPEAKER_00: And then I think once they start getting past each other's looks and the physical attraction that things may start to get harder.
• 1:06:21
SPEAKER_00: And they are young and they both have um like big Career aspirations.
• 1:06:27
SPEAKER_00: So I think it might be hard for them to balance that.
• 1:06:35
SPEAKER_00: Plus, he's got a lot dealing with his mom, and her family is not on board.
• 1:06:40
SPEAKER_00: So that doesn't help the situation.
• 1:06:44
SPEAKER_00: Vaughn and Monet, I gave them a five because I think their personalities are too similar in the sense that they're both very strong-willed people, and I don't see them having a lot of compromise with each other.
• 1:07:00
SPEAKER_00: That's do we know that?
• 1:07:03
  SPEAKER_00: Those are my thoughts.
• 1:07:13
  SPEAKER_03: I'm so stupid.
• 1:07:16
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'll be honest, Vaughn and Monet, they were like teetering between a four and a five, and I was like, all right, I'll give them a five.
• 1:07:25
  SPEAKER_03: Keep the pattern alive.
• 1:07:27
SPEAKER_00: I mean, they're both good-looking people, so that might help extend.
• 1:07:31
SPEAKER_02: From the four to the five, right?
• 1:07:36
  SPEAKER_00: All right, episode two.
• 1:07:38
SPEAKER_00: We get like the conclusion of all the weddings.
• 1:07:40
SPEAKER_00: So needless to say, Jamie says yes.
• 1:07:43
  SPEAKER_00: They all say yes.
• 1:07:44
  unknown: Okay.
• 1:07:45
SPEAKER_00: Courtney was Courtney when they when she walked down the aisle, like, okay, Jason, he was another one who's like beaming, but they seemed so into it.
• 1:07:57
SPEAKER_00: Like if you if if you didn't know they didn't know each other, you wouldn't know they didn't know each other.
• 1:08:03
SPEAKER_03: Say that again three times fast.
• 1:08:09
  SPEAKER_00: I can't even say it again.
• 1:08:10
SPEAKER_00: She goes, I can't say the first time.
• 1:08:12
SPEAKER_00: What are you talking about?
• 1:08:13
  SPEAKER_00: Hold on.
• 1:08:13
SPEAKER_00: If you if you didn't know they didn't know each other, you wouldn't know they didn't know each other.
• 1:08:20
  SPEAKER_00: Is that right?
• 1:08:21
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:08:22
  SPEAKER_00: Holy shit.
• 1:08:23
  SPEAKER_00: Take another sip.
• 1:08:26
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 1:08:28
SPEAKER_02: This drink is not as strong as it was in the first sip.
• 1:08:36
SPEAKER_00: And um, Monet had her godfather walking down the aisle walking her down the aisle.
• 1:08:41
SPEAKER_00: And oh my god, I feel so bad for her.
• 1:08:43
  SPEAKER_00: She was visibly shaking.
• 1:08:46
SPEAKER_00: Like you could see the fear in her body.
• 1:08:52
SPEAKER_03: I have never been that I've never been in a situation where I had that type of fear, and I'm pretty sure I would have like pissed on myself if it was me.
• 1:09:02
SPEAKER_03: I would have lost all control of my body functions.
• 1:09:04
SPEAKER_03: I would have like, yeah, no that's happening.
• 1:09:06
SPEAKER_03: I would have been sweating down my legs, it would have been a hot mess.
• 1:09:10
SPEAKER_03: And she kept her composure.
• 1:09:13
SPEAKER_03: Like, I mean, someone would have to like physically carry me, not because I didn't want to, because my body would have shut down, you know what I mean?
• 1:09:20
SPEAKER_03: From the nerves if I was that scared.
• 1:09:22
SPEAKER_00: On my wedding day, I was nervous about walking down the aisle with my father in front of every single person that I knew.
• 1:09:32
SPEAKER_00: Literally, I knew everyone, and I was still apprehensive because I had to walk down that long ass aisle.
• 1:09:39
SPEAKER_00: You know, you are have you were you ever at Sacred Hearts?
• 1:09:42
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:09:43
  SPEAKER_00: Oh.
• 1:09:44
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, so you know.
• 1:09:45
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, oh, yeah.
• 1:09:46
SPEAKER_03: That thing is like 600 miles long.
• 1:09:49
  SPEAKER_00: Uh exactly.
• 1:09:50
SPEAKER_00: And and with people looking at me.
• 1:09:52
SPEAKER_03: I feel like all Catholic churches are that way though, aren't they?
• 1:09:56
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:09:57
  SPEAKER_00: Pretty much.
• 1:09:59
SPEAKER_00: But um, but yeah, like imagine if I didn't know the person or it's on TV, and oh my god.
• 1:10:07
SPEAKER_00: Wait, I'm getting nervous just thinking about it.
• 1:10:09
SPEAKER_00: Lay me down and just drag me by my feet.
• 1:10:12
  SPEAKER_03: Like, I wanna go.
• 1:10:13
SPEAKER_03: I just my body doesn't want to, so just like carry me.
• 1:10:15
SPEAKER_03: Like, I need like two men just to carry me down the aisle.
• 1:10:18
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:10:19
  SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, Lisa.
• 1:10:21
SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm having like secondhand nerves from like 20 years ago, apparently.
• 1:10:26
SPEAKER_03: Do you remember like yeah?
• 1:10:29
SPEAKER_03: But anyway, they all I'm gonna get married on Zoom, so it's that's fine.
• 1:10:33
SPEAKER_02: I don't have to worry about it.
• 1:10:34
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, cool.
• 1:10:36
SPEAKER_00: After they exchanged their vows, the she's not a priest, the officiant officiant, thank you.
• 1:10:44
SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say the ordinator, and I was like, that is not a word.
• 1:10:47
  SPEAKER_02: Is that a Winnie's burger?
• 1:10:51
  SPEAKER_00: Orden or Organate.
• 1:10:54
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 1:10:55
  SPEAKER_00: It's it's it's not a burger.
• 1:10:58
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 1:10:59
  SPEAKER_02: They call it burgonator.
• 1:11:00
  SPEAKER_02: The burgonator.
• 1:11:02
SPEAKER_02: The the baconator, baconator, the officiant.
• 1:11:08
SPEAKER_00: The officiant is like this is when people normally kiss, but you can if you only if you want to.
• 1:11:14
SPEAKER_03: It's not if you want to.
• 1:11:15
SPEAKER_03: It is kind of awkward to officiate such a I when I first watched this, I'm like, what are the what is at the officiant?
• 1:11:25
SPEAKER_03: What is going through your fucking head?
• 1:11:27
SPEAKER_03: Like I mean to be at it.
• 1:11:31
SPEAKER_00: How like what else could you say, right?
• 1:11:33
SPEAKER_03: No, right, because like what am I doing?
• 1:11:35
SPEAKER_03: Like, I would have been like, what the fuck am I doing here?
• 1:11:38
SPEAKER_03: Although you can get become an official online, like Joey did it.
• 1:11:41
SPEAKER_00: No, well, yeah, but I did too at one point.
• 1:11:45
  SPEAKER_03: You did?
• 1:11:46
  SPEAKER_00: I did.
• 1:11:47
SPEAKER_03: So are you going to officiate my wet my wedding?
• 1:11:50
  SPEAKER_00: Sure.
• 1:11:51
SPEAKER_03: I'm looking at your husband's tight pants.
• 1:11:54
  SPEAKER_00: Oh god.
• 1:11:55
  SPEAKER_00: Why where is that?
• 1:11:57
SPEAKER_03: I guess at the cigar place.
• 1:11:59
  SPEAKER_00: What he posted it?
• 1:12:01
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 1:12:03
SPEAKER_00: So after your tongue twist.
• 1:12:05
SPEAKER_00: Not like not be at the cigar shop and just be here waiting for me to finish recording so that I could jump his bones.
• 1:12:12
SPEAKER_03: Seriously, I thought I was gonna say that I wasn't gonna say the same thing for me, but I knew that's what you were gonna say for you.
• 1:12:19
SPEAKER_00: But he's gonna come back from the cigar shop, he's gonna stink like cigars, and not only that, like even because he spent so much time there that even if he takes a shower, it's still in his pores and his beard.
• 1:12:32
  SPEAKER_03: Cut the beard off.
• 1:12:34
SPEAKER_00: And that's the other thing.
• 1:12:35
SPEAKER_00: The beard holds it too.
• 1:12:36
  SPEAKER_00: Like, ugh.
• 1:12:37
SPEAKER_00: I'd be like this, holding the beard back so I could like get to his face and his neck.
• 1:12:42
SPEAKER_00: Like, I should not have to move your hair out of my way.
• 1:12:45
SPEAKER_03: I've told him that it's not attractive, but I'm extension of you, I guess.
• 1:12:50
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, back on track.
• 1:12:53
SPEAKER_00: After they all say their I do's and some of them, I think most of them gave like kisses on the cheek.
• 1:13:00
SPEAKER_00: Oh, actually, no, I don't think I'll cordial Jason.
• 1:13:03
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:13:05
SPEAKER_03: I mean, Mina, just wait later on in this episode.
• 1:13:12
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, shit.
• 1:13:13
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 1:13:14
  SPEAKER_00: It's cute.
• 1:13:15
SPEAKER_00: After the weddings, like the ceremony concludes, then they took photos.
• 1:13:22
SPEAKER_00: But actually, before before they even took the photos, Jamie is a fucking wreck.
• 1:13:29
  SPEAKER_00: She's a wreck.
• 1:13:31
SPEAKER_00: She is not having it.
• 1:13:33
SPEAKER_00: Excuse herself and cries in a corner.
• 1:13:35
SPEAKER_03: The whole thing, I had second hand, I was uncomfortable watching it.
• 1:13:39
SPEAKER_03: Like I actually watched it with my hands covered, my eyes covered.
• 1:13:42
SPEAKER_03: I was just like, I was cringing by her reaction.
• 1:13:46
SPEAKER_03: Not cringing because of her reaction, but just it was I was uncomfortable for both of them.
• 1:13:54
SPEAKER_00: But what I appre could appreciate is that even as she's saying how she's not attracted, and you know, she's not into it, you could tell that she wishes that she was.
• 1:14:08
SPEAKER_03: That she wants to be, right?
• 1:14:10
SPEAKER_00: And she right, she wanted to be, and she doesn't take any enjoyment in in the situation that she's in, right?
• 1:14:17
SPEAKER_03: Right, she's not being a bitch about it, she's just like, no, it's a very uncomfortable situation.
• 1:14:24
SPEAKER_03: And here is I think what made it even more uncomfortable for her is that Doug is being so gracious, and and you could see that he's really into her.
• 1:14:33
SPEAKER_03: It's an uncomfortable situation to watch, and I couldn't imagine being in that in that situation.
• 1:14:39
SPEAKER_03: I would have to take remind me to like get some Botox injections to hide my facial expressions before my um matchmaking situation, okay?
• 1:14:47
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, thanks.
• 1:14:50
SPEAKER_00: Monet is using a wall to help her keep standing, and uh like okay, I get you because you just did a thing.
• 1:15:00
SPEAKER_00: She's like you just did a thing, so even at that moment, I I can see more what you're saying about Vaughn.
• 1:15:10
SPEAKER_00: Because he seems very what's the opposite of genuine?
• 1:15:16
  SPEAKER_02: Non-genuine?
• 1:15:18
  unknown: Sure.
• 1:15:19
  SPEAKER_00: Ungenuine?
• 1:15:20
  SPEAKER_00: Ungenuine.
• 1:15:21
  SPEAKER_00: Um shallow?
• 1:15:25
  SPEAKER_00: Not shallow.
• 1:15:27
SPEAKER_00: I mean, like fake, but like fake is not really the right word.
• 1:15:31
  SPEAKER_00: No, I genuine.
• 1:15:33
SPEAKER_00: So when her uh godfather c came out to say hello and introduce himself or whatever, and then he's like, You better take care of my girl, and and Vaughn is like, no doubt, no doubt.
• 1:15:44
SPEAKER_00: Like you just it it rubbed me the wrong way.
• 1:15:48
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you're just a little bit too familiar and too comfortable, and you it feels like you don't re you don't have respect.
• 1:15:56
SPEAKER_00: Like I feel like you should have a little like reverence because then he's like, Are you her father?
• 1:16:01
SPEAKER_00: And he's like, No, no, no, but like I'm like his her father.
• 1:16:05
SPEAKER_00: But if you thought that this man was her father, and that's how you spoke to her, I feel like you should have right, you should have presented yourself differently.
• 1:16:14
SPEAKER_00: Like, yes, sir, especially especially from a military, same brain, same I um apparently I have I don't have a brain of my own.
• 1:16:26
SPEAKER_03: I share brains with whoever like I share one with you, I share one with Angie, so I don't have my brain at all.
• 1:16:34
  SPEAKER_03: I'm brainless, I am pinky, and I guess I'm the brain.
• 1:16:42
SPEAKER_02: What are we gonna do tonight, Bree?
• 1:16:46
SPEAKER_02: Try to take over the world one podcast at a time.
• 1:16:51
SPEAKER_00: That's um if we could figure out they do their photos, and the photos were kind of cute, like I guess under the circumstances.
• 1:17:10
SPEAKER_00: Jamie was like, We're not kissing.
• 1:17:12
SPEAKER_00: She was like, This is awkward.
• 1:17:14
SPEAKER_00: She didn't want to get this close to him.
• 1:17:16
SPEAKER_03: She's just like, uh, she looked like it's her okay.
• 1:17:20
SPEAKER_03: I'm going to hell, but her pictures, like her facial was just like she was trying to when you look at them, you're like, blank twice if you need help.
• 1:17:28
SPEAKER_03: Like, she's like, Yeah, poor baby.
• 1:17:31
SPEAKER_00: They had the groom's speeches.
• 1:17:34
SPEAKER_00: So, like, you know, when they got to like the reception, they did the groom speeches.
• 1:17:39
SPEAKER_00: Vaughn's was very like whatever.
• 1:17:43
SPEAKER_00: It, you know, it it was just kind of average, not bad, just there was no like personality to it.
• 1:17:51
  SPEAKER_03: I mean, I don't think he had much of a personality.
• 1:17:54
  SPEAKER_03: He's flat.
• 1:17:55
  SPEAKER_03: He's I think he's a little to begin with.
• 1:17:59
  SPEAKER_00: I thought Jason's was cute.
• 1:18:02
SPEAKER_00: You know, he was like, today I married the woman of my dreams, or at least the one that the experts talk about.
• 1:18:07
  SPEAKER_03: Experts, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 1:18:08
  SPEAKER_03: I remember his yeah, it's cute.
• 1:18:10
SPEAKER_00: I thought his was a little bit more lively and entertaining and just like something you'd want to hear.
• 1:18:18
SPEAKER_03: These groom speeches, now do you expect them to be personalized?
• 1:18:25
  SPEAKER_03: Of course not.
• 1:18:26
SPEAKER_03: But they do give you a glimpse of the person because people write who uh like if I was to write something, you know it's my writing because you know, oh, that's her personality, that's how she speaks, that's what this is how she thinks, it's how she feels.
• 1:18:41
SPEAKER_03: So as a why as a person who's watching it, I'm looking at okay, what does this speech tell me about this person?
• 1:18:48
SPEAKER_03: Do I see this person's personality in it?
• 1:18:50
SPEAKER_03: And I see Vaughn's flat personality in his, right?
• 1:18:53
  SPEAKER_03: I see Jason's playful in his.
• 1:18:55
SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
• 1:18:56
  SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
• 1:18:57
SPEAKER_00: And Doug, and I thought was the best.
• 1:19:00
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 1:19:01
SPEAKER_00: Doug is just he was like, hi, my name is Doug.
• 1:19:05
SPEAKER_00: Right, because no one knows me.
• 1:19:08
SPEAKER_00: My middle name is what's saying, Edward, and then he goes, and my last name is Hainer.
• 1:19:12
SPEAKER_00: And I think yours is too.
• 1:19:15
SPEAKER_00: And he was like, Oh, like, yeah, he's such a little goofball.
• 1:19:19
SPEAKER_00: And then he gets to the he gets to a point where he says something like, Um, I want to get to know you better so we can oh no, you put the bouquet down, so maybe now we can hold hands.
• 1:19:29
SPEAKER_00: And people started laughing, and he was like, Well, what's so funny?
• 1:19:34
SPEAKER_00: He's like, Well, what was funny?
• 1:19:37
SPEAKER_00: Um, but I just thought that that was so genuine.
• 1:19:41
SPEAKER_00: Like he he spoke from the heart because that's the kind of person that he is.
• 1:19:47
SPEAKER_00: And then they have the reception, and you could see by the end of the like the reception, they all look like they're at least having fun.
• 1:19:56
  SPEAKER_00: Like, and especially Jamie.
• 1:19:58
SPEAKER_00: She looked like she was genuinely like she had been relaxed, she was actually having a good time, she was enjoying the moment.
• 1:20:06
SPEAKER_03: I mean, maybe maybe she's still not on board with the whole well, this is big marriage, but at least she guys had to forget about that part for a minute.
• 1:20:16
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I like she just looked like in the moment she was having fun, and she could take that tomorrow, you know.
• 1:20:24
SPEAKER_00: At the reception, for anyone who's ever been to a wedding, you know, that the the glass clinking, fine.
• 1:20:31
SPEAKER_00: I was so appalled at this for this show.
• 1:20:34
SPEAKER_00: Like you realize that these two people just fucking met.
• 1:20:38
SPEAKER_03: I think they're forced to do it.
• 1:20:39
SPEAKER_03: I think they're told to do that.
• 1:20:41
SPEAKER_03: Because I feel like if any of my friends and family did that on their own, first of all, I know for a fact my friends and family wouldn't do that.
• 1:20:49
  SPEAKER_03: Well, on their own.
• 1:20:50
SPEAKER_00: I could I could see and and one or two opinion.
• 1:20:55
SPEAKER_00: I could see some like let's say like the grooms, right?
• 1:21:01
SPEAKER_00: Especially when they're younger, like Jason.
• 1:21:04
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:21:04
SPEAKER_00: And you got his friends, yeah.
• 1:21:06
SPEAKER_00: Who are like egging you on.
• 1:21:08
  SPEAKER_00: I I I could totally see that.
• 1:21:11
SPEAKER_00: Those kind of people, because it, you know, it's like, oh, just kiss the pretty girl.
• 1:21:16
SPEAKER_00: But I think for the majority of people, it's like they they they don't know each other, like that's so awkward.
• 1:21:26
SPEAKER_00: Like they never mind, probably don't even want to kiss, but like they they haven't kissed, they don't want to do it the first time at like in this public venue, and they probably also don't want to kiss.
• 1:21:38
SPEAKER_03: Like the funny thing is, you say that, and I'm just because I like to make a joke of everything.
• 1:21:44
SPEAKER_03: How many times have people had that sloppy kiss with a complete stranger at a bar?
• 1:21:52
  SPEAKER_03: I haven't either, but have I?
• 1:21:55
  SPEAKER_03: No.
• 1:21:57
SPEAKER_03: Wait, I gotta go back and think.
• 1:21:58
SPEAKER_00: I have a friend who swears that I that I have, but I no, ew.
• 1:22:03
SPEAKER_03: I've let me have I had no, no, I've never kissed any strangers.
• 1:22:08
SPEAKER_00: No, I no kiss kissing is so intimate, like I just slap, but I wouldn't, I but we feel ill.
• 1:22:17
SPEAKER_03: But if you've been in bars and you just I mean it happens.
• 1:22:20
  SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, it happens.
• 1:22:21
SPEAKER_03: So I think not that it's funny, but but if you like, no, I don't want to kiss you, but I'm like, not not these people per se, but people kiss people all the time in bars and they have no idea, and they take them home.
• 1:22:34
  SPEAKER_02: I don't think bottles my mind, I can't.
• 1:22:37
  SPEAKER_00: Who does that?
• 1:22:39
SPEAKER_00: Side note, I like how you're throwing your arms up.
• 1:22:41
SPEAKER_00: Like, who does that right as the cat is walking right behind you?
• 1:22:45
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, emphasize the point.
• 1:22:48
SPEAKER_00: It doesn't emphasize the point, like yeah, but that was a shower now, just and but still, those people do that, and there's not a live fucking studio audience.
• 1:23:04
SPEAKER_03: No, there's a whole bar of people though, yeah.
• 1:23:07
SPEAKER_00: But nobody is looking at them, like because they're doing it themselves, right?
• 1:23:12
SPEAKER_02: Because the other people are doing it too, but you know, it's not like that.
• 1:23:16
SPEAKER_00: Your whole all your friends and family have gathered here to watch you do it.
• 1:23:21
  SPEAKER_00: I think plus television.
• 1:23:23
SPEAKER_03: So when I do like do my uh matchmaking marriage, you you guys set me up.
• 1:23:29
SPEAKER_03: I am going to hunt you down.
• 1:23:32
SPEAKER_03: No glass clinking, unless I give you the cobweb.
• 1:23:36
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, no, unless I do like the whole see, that'd be some stupid shit Alex would do.
• 1:23:41
SPEAKER_03: And Alex would get his ass beat that's fine by a woman about a short black chick in a wedding dress.
• 1:23:48
  SPEAKER_00: He might like that.
• 1:23:49
SPEAKER_02: Alex would actually know you know what to I would cut his beard.
• 1:23:54
  SPEAKER_00: I might like that.
• 1:23:58
SPEAKER_03: Anyway, um so Courtney and Jason by the end of their reception, they're really getting to like each other.
• 1:24:09
  SPEAKER_03: I know.
• 1:24:09
  SPEAKER_03: You saw that kiss?
• 1:24:11
SPEAKER_03: Oh, back to the other like the the glass kinky, the glass kinky, the glass, the kinky glasses, yeah.
• 1:24:18
  SPEAKER_00: I know about those.
• 1:24:19
  SPEAKER_03: Kinky boots.
• 1:24:20
SPEAKER_03: Um the glass clinking kiss where he put his arm like under her and over, like he did his right arm.
• 1:24:33
SPEAKER_00: Oh, on her head, yeah.
• 1:24:34
SPEAKER_03: He kind of went under because it was his right arm and she was on his right side.
• 1:24:38
SPEAKER_03: So he kind of went under and and pulled him close.
• 1:24:40
SPEAKER_03: For some reason, I was just like, Give my pants, like wring out the panties, like the way he it was just I okay, I have mixed feelings about that.
• 1:24:52
SPEAKER_03: I don't know why, but that one was kind of like I think part of it is she leaned into it also, so I in conjunction with her leaning into it, him just kind of it just worked for me.
• 1:25:02
  SPEAKER_03: I don't know why.
• 1:25:02
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like on one hand, when he when he grabs you like by the head, it's kind of sexy.
• 1:25:09
SPEAKER_03: But when I don't know you, but when I don't know you, no, but he didn't grab her, he kind of just touched her.
• 1:25:16
SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, I know, I know.
• 1:25:17
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was just kind of the but it's the hand placement.
• 1:25:20
  SPEAKER_03: The placement, okay.
• 1:25:22
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like that's that's a move that's sexy or creepy dominating.
• 1:25:30
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, gotcha.
• 1:25:32
SPEAKER_00: And and when I don't know you, it's dominating, and I don't like that.
• 1:25:36
  SPEAKER_03: I don't like that.
• 1:25:37
SPEAKER_00: So it was a little like that moment it caught my eye though.
• 1:25:40
SPEAKER_00: For those two reasons, because I'm those two.
• 1:25:43
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, for me.
• 1:25:44
SPEAKER_00: I hope she liked it.
• 1:25:45
SPEAKER_03: I I think okay, if let's say a Doug and Jamie, if it was Doug and Jamie, it would have thrown me off.
• 1:25:53
  SPEAKER_03: I'm like, oh no.
• 1:25:54
SPEAKER_03: And the fact that it was Jason and Courtney and they were vibing already, it worked.
• 1:26:00
SPEAKER_03: Like watching it didn't creep me out.
• 1:26:03
SPEAKER_03: And I was like, ooh, I wasn't gonna hold me like that.
• 1:26:06
SPEAKER_03: You know, um it was a movie scene because you know how like Yeah, you know, it felt it felt like in a movie scene, it's everything fits in right like it's supposed to.
• 1:26:19
SPEAKER_03: And this just fit in right like it was supposed to, and it had the desired effects for me as a viewer.
• 1:26:24
SPEAKER_00: They're like you said, they're younger, and it's funny because there's like when the reception is winding down, and Jason is talking to his friends about the honeymoon, and he's and he's just they're like broing each other on, like, and he's like, Oh, you know I will.
• 1:26:39
SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't even remember what the friend said, but he's like, You know I will.
• 1:26:43
  SPEAKER_00: Like, ew.
• 1:26:44
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
• 1:26:46
  SPEAKER_00: Slow down, buddy.
• 1:26:47
SPEAKER_03: All right, slow your role.
• 1:26:49
  SPEAKER_03: Um, Vaughn.
• 1:26:51
  SPEAKER_03: Monet.
• 1:26:53
  SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
• 1:26:53
SPEAKER_03: Did we talk about them?
• 1:26:54
SPEAKER_03: Or we're going back to Jamie and J.
• 1:26:57
  SPEAKER_03: I don't remember.
• 1:26:58
SPEAKER_00: Do you do you have something else about Vaughn and Monet?
• 1:27:02
  SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
• 1:27:04
SPEAKER_03: I just didn't think we went to I didn't think we touched upon them.
• 1:27:08
SPEAKER_03: So I was just like, okay, next couple.
• 1:27:09
SPEAKER_00: Okay, no, yeah, I think all we talked about was his dumbass speech.
• 1:27:14
SPEAKER_03: So we need to talk about the reception.
• 1:27:15
  SPEAKER_03: That was it.
• 1:27:16
SPEAKER_03: They really, I mean, it was a nice reception.
• 1:27:18
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was fine.
• 1:27:19
  SPEAKER_00: There was like nothing.
• 1:27:21
SPEAKER_00: Oh, when they did the songs, they showed the first dance.
• 1:27:26
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, right.
• 1:27:27
SPEAKER_00: And Jamie and Yeah, and so then Doug is like, oh, I love this song.
• 1:27:33
  SPEAKER_00: I can't believe you picked it.
• 1:27:35
  SPEAKER_00: And she's like, I wrote it.
• 1:27:36
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, how's your foot taste?
• 1:27:39
  SPEAKER_03: Right.
• 1:27:39
SPEAKER_00: I know, but you know, but like, but he he was he was just trying.
• 1:27:44
SPEAKER_00: Like, I think he was just trying to reassure her and like be positive.
• 1:27:51
SPEAKER_00: And and then at first I was like, oh, but maybe it's just that he hears it and he loves it.
• 1:27:56
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's how I took it eventually, like initially.
• 1:27:59
SPEAKER_03: Like, because like I love this song.
• 1:28:00
SPEAKER_03: I think this is my favorite.
• 1:28:01
SPEAKER_03: But I think he said I love this song, or this is my favorite song.
• 1:28:04
SPEAKER_00: It gave me the question he's Yeah, some something like that.
• 1:28:07
SPEAKER_00: And then you're like, one too far.
• 1:28:10
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:28:10
  SPEAKER_00: Too far.
• 1:28:11
  SPEAKER_00: You could tell he's a tr he's a pleaser.
• 1:28:15
SPEAKER_00: But who do you think out of the guys, who do you think is the best in bed?
• 1:28:20
  SPEAKER_03: Okay, I don't believe I'm fucking saying this.
• 1:28:22
  SPEAKER_00: Oh shit.
• 1:28:24
  SPEAKER_03: The other doc.
• 1:28:25
SPEAKER_03: Course, in that sense, I think might be Vaughn.
• 1:28:29
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I'm kind of torn between Vaughn and Doug.
• 1:28:35
  SPEAKER_00: And yes.
• 1:28:38
  SPEAKER_00: Here's my take.
• 1:28:39
  SPEAKER_00: I concur.
• 1:28:40
  SPEAKER_00: I feel like Vaughn.
• 1:28:42
SPEAKER_00: Okay, let me start with Doug.
• 1:28:45
SPEAKER_00: Doug might not be great, but he looks like the kind of guy who is gonna try and try and try and make you happy.
• 1:28:57
  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 1:28:57
SPEAKER_00: And it might not work.
• 1:29:00
SPEAKER_00: Like he has a smack it, flip it, and rub it down, he'll figure it out.
• 1:29:03
  SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
• 1:29:04
SPEAKER_00: He'll read a book, he he will go to the library.
• 1:29:08
SPEAKER_03: Oh, he might actually just be really that good because he's a natural, who knows?
• 1:29:12
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:29:14
SPEAKER_00: Um Vaughn, I feel like there's that aspect where like confidence is sexy, and I feel like Vaughn has that part, but he he also seems like he has the kind of personality where it's like, I know I'm like I'm good, and I know I'm good, and so like you just don't realize I'm good.
• 1:29:36
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
• 1:29:38
SPEAKER_03: Okay, okay, so there's some people, okay.
• 1:29:40
SPEAKER_00: You know, unsatisfied, it's your fault, not his fault.
• 1:29:44
SPEAKER_03: I feel you know what I mean, yeah.
• 1:29:49
SPEAKER_03: Now you know there's some okay, you know how there's some people you're like you would definitely hit it, but you would never admit to your friends that you would do it because you know, like that's gonna be amazing.
• 1:30:03
SPEAKER_03: Him, I don't get that vibe from, but something about him, I'm like, you seem such like a uptight stick in the mud.
• 1:30:11
SPEAKER_03: I feel like when it comes to the bedroom, you're something totally fucking different.
• 1:30:15
  SPEAKER_03: That's my only reason.
• 1:30:16
  SPEAKER_03: Vaughn Vaughn.
• 1:30:17
SPEAKER_03: I feel like he's just so she was off military.
• 1:30:21
SPEAKER_03: I feel like I want my wife to be, you know.
• 1:30:24
SPEAKER_00: Or maybe he wants her like with whips and chains and like beating him.
• 1:30:28
SPEAKER_03: I feel like either I don't know, like I don't know about that floor, but I feel like a dog.
• 1:30:32
SPEAKER_03: Because sometimes when you're so stuck in your ways, you're not that missionary vanilla person in bed, though.
• 1:30:39
SPEAKER_03: I feel like that you like you're totally okay.
• 1:30:41
SPEAKER_03: You're not gonna be boring and visionary.
• 1:30:44
SPEAKER_03: I feel like you're gonna at least he's gonna like toss her around and banana split about that.
• 1:30:50
SPEAKER_00: And I don't doubt that he has tricks.
• 1:30:53
SPEAKER_03: Look up the banana split, people.
• 1:30:54
SPEAKER_03: Oh that shit's fucking amazing.
• 1:30:57
SPEAKER_00: Um but I just think that he he seems like the kind of person who is not who who doesn't listen.
• 1:31:07
SPEAKER_03: Ah like if I said move to the left, he's being like, no, no, no, no, this is how you like it.
• 1:31:12
