K9 Django Gets Life-Saving Vest | Flint News
A heroic K9 named Django at McLaren Flint is getting a life-saving bullet and stab-proof vest, thanks to a generous donation from Vested Interest in K9s and local supporters in North Carolina. The custom-fitted, NIJ-certified gear honors Roam, a fallen Colorado Springs K9 who bravely served before retiring after a long recovery. With over 6,000 vests distributed since 2009, this initiative proves how vital community support is for the canine officers who risk everything every day — and how these vests help ensure they come home safe.
