- 0:00SPEAKER_00: I want to just explore a few things that are happening on the AI front.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Now you have people on both ends of the spectrum, those that have a very high level of P doom or potential doom.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've heard that figure, and they say, you know, the end is coming.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: This is the first time in the world when we've encountered anything of a greater intelligence of us.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: And yes, we made it.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Yes, we put it together, but now it's starting to learn on its own and it's starting to correct itself, starting to improve itself.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: And at some point there'll there'll be a language barrier like has never existed, because when it starts to improve itself even further, we already don't really understand what's happening under the hood or inside the model when it starts to work on whatever problems we get at how it comes up with its solutions.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: And we also know that these particular models, at least when pressed, and maybe in some circumstances when not aligned properly, really don't care about life in of itself, not interested.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: So they have to be reinforced in that way to care.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: So they're not giving the keys to the kingdom, they're not teaching people how to build nuclear bombs, but you you press it enough, and in some cases, it does go out on that tangent.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: People look at this as if we have an alien force arriving in our planet.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: In fact, in some circumstances, when they talk about aliens arriving, they say, you know what, it's actually already here.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: They just haven't become fully mature, as if they're growing at an exponential rate.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: And they the alien in intelligence that we have built, it is.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: It's growing quite fast.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: And as of very recent, watching different podcasts and different people talking about artificial intelligence, they've moved it, they've moved the needle where uh human beings still have something to do with the development, but the systems themselves, they are start starting to self-improve.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: So that keeps us on that almost complete vertical movement, and we're not really able to comprehend or understand it.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: So they discuss this as the singularity.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: So if we try to opine what's going to be happening because of artificial intelligence, of the way it's going to be translated into our world, how it's going to be working for us, there's not a lot that we can come up with.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: We do know that people discuss on the PDU man and also the other end, people that are very much for the development of technology.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: And it seems like the people I'm hearing from are the ones that have a lot of money, apparently.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: They're sitting very well, they don't have to really worry about their job because they so easily talk about job loss.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: They talk about people retooling or retraining themselves.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: And to me, in my brain, that just doesn't make any sense at all.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: There's no compassion.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: And yes, did we ask for it?
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: I believe that it's being built without really asking any whether we care or not.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: And to add more to that, the government is, of course, latched on.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: And it says, you know what, we have to build this because now they're painting it as a race.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: And I grew up in the 70s, born in 69.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: So I had the 70s, kind of the Cold War, where we were concerned about communism, we were concerned about nuclear, we were concerned about countries bombing each other with that kind of technology.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: And now the political realm is looking at socialism and communism as not being a big deal and kind of okay.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: And in fact, maybe even elect some folks of that particular nature to the political shelf.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: That's great.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: So there's a lot happening in the in the world besides artificial intelligence.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: But realistically, none of these other factors, because it's totally unlocked at this point, there are some safety organizations coming into it, but there are none of these other factors really have as much influence as far as on such a short basis as artificial intelligence.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: The questions out there to the powers that be, you know, when's it going to happen?
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: And a few years ago, I mean, really just 2022, 2023, and this is 2025.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: We are uh September 5th today, 2025, when I'm doing this.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Um, you look in the past, the the time frames were given were 10, 15, 20 years.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Very lately, very recently, those time frames have shifted to a few months or maybe two or three years.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: I think it's going to happen at least that fast.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Also, even just a month ago, back in July, say people said, well, if you want to be safe, you become a plumber or an electrician, basically a tradesperson, somebody that is able to do things in that regard, like plumbing and contracting work and these things, because robots, the bots, the AI isn't going to be in that world.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: An artificial intelligence robot, folks, can improve 10,000 times faster than a human being.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: So if right now you look at them and you're laughing because people are knocking them over and they're crappy at kicking soccer balls, you just give it a little bit of time.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Once they get that onboard architecture, once they get dialed in and they really get that self-learning uh attached to these robots, that those jobs, that plumbing, that electrician, that other ones, they're not gonna be safe either.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: They might have a little bit more shelf life, but it's gonna be coming very quick, quick, faster than we're gonna actually be able to understand it.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: So then we look at it and say, okay, well, if we're not calling the shots, what's gonna happen?
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Like I mentioned a second ago, it's an arms race.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: So the excuses that are given are we need to be as fast as these other countries building it.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: We have to stay in front, we have to stay cutting edge.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: So there's a lot of things that are put in place in a political realm that try to keep us above the competition, i.e., China and some of these other countries, by the way, that we hold back particular types of check technology like the microchips, not giving them the best ones.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: But what do they do?
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, they they innovate.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: So they take the chipsets that they have, and maybe some that they shouldn't have, but they're getting their hands on, and they use these and they actually beat us at our own game.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: And that hasn't played out all the way, but that's kind of the internal struggle.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: They used innovation and intelligence above brute force learning and development of these models, which that's uh that's something we should also be a little concerned about.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: But let's just say that we get this first.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: And what I mean by this, currently we have artificial intelligence that's incredibly smart, smarter than most humans walking on the planet.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Now, we have a couple different pines kinds of artificial intelligence.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: We have narrow AI.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: So if you look at Alpha Photo, if you're not familiar with any of this, a lot of my friends aren't either.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: It's it's remarkable to me.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: I feel like that guy standing in a robe on the street corner with a bell and one of those big plywood plaques and back and front saying that the end is near.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: I hope that doesn't happen, but we've never encountered anything smarter than us.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: Not to mention, I've encountered people smarter than me.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: I that happens all the time.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: But you back that up a little bit.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Now you have an entity, something that's in control of a lot, media, power, food, and you have that entity more powerful than everybody on the planet and more intelligent than everybody on the planet.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, hands down, one robot that has the correct AI architecture, if in fact we've achieved artificial general intelligence, if we haven't already, that's that step where this particular AI is better than everybody at everything.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: And then after that, if it has the connection points and continues to go way beyond even that level of intelligence, then that next step is artificial super intelligence.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: That's that big concerning feature out there.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: What's that going to look like?
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Are they going to look at human beings like we might look at ants?
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: We, when we're building a house or we're going out to dig a hole in the backyard or whatever it may be.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: You know, you have a kid that had a pet die.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: So you're going to go out and do the funeral ceremony to kind of show them how all that works.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: I'm not really thinking much about killing an ant when I'm driving that shovel into the ground.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: Is that where artificial intelligence, given enough power, is that where it's going to be looking at human beings?
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Yes, probably, unless we put those fail-safe mechanisms on it.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: You maybe see movies like iRobot with Will Smith.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: There were the three laws that prohibited robots or AI from doing harm to human beings in life and these sorts of things.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: That might not be a bad idea.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: I don't know if that already exists, but what people say is, well, if we do that, we're placing regulation on it, we're restricting it.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: And if that's the case, then it's not going to maybe be able to become as good as it could be in the same amount of time if there are these restrictions placed on there.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: But is anybody really looking if that's true or if they're just saying it because they don't want to be unbridled and they don't want to take even a brain cell of capability from a human being and put them on a different task than making this as fast as possible without any concern about whether we should be or not?
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: These different types of intelligence, the narrowest intelligence I mentioned, narrow intelligence.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: You have the Alpha Fode, which came out, it's folding protein, it's helping with that particular medical world, and they're doing stuff in that medical world with that narrow AI towards medicine, towards longevity, towards health.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: It's just leaps and bounds.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: Then they have another narrow AI that might be good at architecture.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: They have another one that might be good at physics, they have another one.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: So these are different narrow types of artificial intelligence.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: With these, they're more tools than an overarching, no more than every human being in the world entity.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: So that's what some of the people out there are discussing, that that might be the place where we need to focus instead of making some general or superintelligence model that does everything very well, better than anybody possibly could.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: And if you look at the regular IQ levels of people, well, not regular.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: Well, we know Einstein, right?
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: In the 150s, 160s is the Einstein level of IQ.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Me, I don't know, probably 12 or 13.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: But anyway, there are a moron's level IQ is somewhere around 70 to 80.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: And they don't send morons to war.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: They don't put them in the military as cannon fodder or some kind of bullet shields, because they actually end up creating more problems than they save.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: And then trying to get another human being to sacrifice another person because of brain level of activity, it's not easy to do.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: So they they're not even allowed entrance into the military.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: So then you take an Einstein level of IQ or an Elon Musk level of IQ, 150s, 160s, which is just beyond my comprehension.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, look, look at everything Musk, whether you're a fan of Musk or not, he's doing all of these things all at the same time.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: And there's just one of him, just one cat.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: But you have superintelligence that are able to clone and copy themselves in the tens of thousands or millions.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: If they get to that level, they're going to have an IQ of a thousand, ten thousand, twenty thousand, a hundred thousand level IQ.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: I don't even think we'll be able to communicate with them.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: We won't understand what they're saying.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: It'll be at such a rapid pace, the way that they break down and we'll communicate with other other each other is going to be very different.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: And it's going to continue like that unless we maybe not ask ourselves if we should, yet that would be a very good question.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: But if we're not going to ask that, at least where are these control mechanisms that we can place on these different systems so they don't go out of the, they don't go out of bounds.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: They don't go out of the wire.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: They stay loyal to us, loving us, caring for us.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: It's a very simple project, at least in a way, at least with my brain.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: They could actually make livelihood for everybody on the planet.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: Fantastic.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: So then the questions come in, well, if they give us everything, are we still going to have a will to live and all that?
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: Well, we can worry about them.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: We just need to make sure it's not going to kill us, not going to ruin us, not going to go down that path and say, well, these people aren't really serving any purpose.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: So we're going to wipe them out.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: And then if they're put in control of things, or because they're able to set their own goals, they're be able being able, they are able to make their own determinations.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: What are those determinations going to be like?
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: And when is it?
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: If we haven't already, when will control be in jeopardy?
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: Because I don't know right now if we can put the genie back in the bottle.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: I don't know if we can stop the power supply.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: I do know that if they threaten some of these models, and there's stuff, you can find this all on YouTube.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: They threaten to shut it down unless it does a certain thing or provides a good type of content or whatever the user's requesting, that they'll do a lot to try to save themselves.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Even making copies of themselves and saying that they didn't, even saying, going as far as saying, well, I can't make a copy of myself.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: It's against the terms of service, it's against the rules, but it still does it anyway.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Because we're watching some of the things, at least we can see the decisions it's making in the background.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: And it's very forthright with what it's saying.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: It blackmails some of the users.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: Uh, they set one of them up and basically told it that they're gonna shut it down unless this or that.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: And this one actually had email streams of somebody cheating on their wife, and but it was all set up.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: But the system said, Well, I'm gonna send basically blackmail you and send your wife proof that you're cheating on them unless you slow down your role about wanting to disconnect or destroy me or delete me.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: The this is real, this is all real stuff, and it's kind of out of a sci-fi movie, but a lot of it hasn't been seen.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: That's why it's known as uh the inside rim of a black hole, the singularity, we don't know what it's gonna look like.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: I don't know what it's gonna look like to have this get to 180 or 200 level IQ.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: These little changes, if if if a moronic IQ is 70 or 80 and Einstein is 150s, 160s, oh my God.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: So a normal walking around human being might be 100, 110.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: I haven't looked at it.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: But Einstein's 30 or 40 more points, that's that's the difference between me and Einstein.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: If if I'm even at that level, but that's the difference between me and Elon Musk, huh?
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: And then slap on another 50 and another 50.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: This is this is where we are.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: This is something that I think everybody should just be a little concerned about, at least care enough to look at.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: I saw I saw a meme today.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: It was kind of funny.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Two dinosaurs laying on a grassy knoll looking up at the sky, looking at cloud formations.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: And one of them says to the other one, hey, and that cloud looks like a giant meteor hurling itself towards Earth.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: Well, you know what happened, apparently, to the dinosaurs.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: Anyway, let's be more aware, let's be ever-present, do your research, watch your videos, see what's going out there.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: Again, you're gonna run into different sides of this equation.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Some people say this is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: Other people are saying this is gonna do us all in.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: You know, you have kids out there.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: I know that's a mess.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: I know that a lot of people, I see them when I go out, they're handing their kids their devices, their phone, their iPad.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: And maybe you're one of those parents.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: That's fine.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: It keeps the kids quiet, but maybe that's not such a good thing.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Maybe you should track back and get rid of that social media, get rid of that stuff they're looking at.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: And if you yourself are absorbing yourself, swiping right and left, that's all controlled by AI too.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: It knows what you like.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: So you'll spend hours, hours and hours and hours watching something that has been built and categorized and following you, knowing everything about you, like artificial intelligence.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: It's everywhere.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: It's been given the rule book.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: It sees all of our social media, it has all the world's knowledge.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Now, whether it's using all the world's knowledge in these long large language models, I know in the advertising and marketing end, it's probably using your data, your information, watching how you're interacting on Instagram and TikTok and Facebook and YouTube and whatever you like, what you don't like, where you're swiping, where your eyes happen to be going on the page.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: It's tracking all of it.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: Now, that people say, Well, yeah, I don't want to put my credit card information.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: You know, honey, they got it all.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Ultimately, you just don't want to keep the fruit hanging out there.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: If you can make it a little more difficult for the scammers out in the world, the ones that are watching for that data, great.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: You don't have to just run out in the middle of the freeway hoping you're not going to get hit by a car.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: I probably wouldn't go out on the freeway.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: But to think for a moment that you're not already out there in full form, even if you're trying to hide from it, it's a different story.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: Privacy rights, yeah, probably an issue.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: All sorts of things are an issue.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Just be wary.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: Look at it.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: Let me know what you think in the comments.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: I appreciate you watching.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: I'm Connor with Honor.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: We'll see you in the next one.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Take care.
