- 2:22Speaker 1: so we are on Sister Wive season six, episode fifteen,
- 2:26Speaker 1: entitled While the Wives are Away Take it Away, Beatrice. Well,
- 2:32Speaker 1: we start the.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Episode with the stupid fucking segment about everybody getting ready
- 2:37Speaker 2: to go do a five K.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I loved this segment. This was probably the best segment
- 2:41Speaker 1: of the whole episode.
- 2:43Speaker 2: No, yeah, it is not the best segment because.
- 2:45Speaker 1: You got to see Robin and you got to see Janelle.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Yeah, Janelle looked great. Janelle's the one that wants to
- 2:51Speaker 2: do the five K, and she's kind of getting everybody
- 2:54Speaker 2: else to try and be involved. Although I think Christine's like,
- 2:57Speaker 2: I'm not going to do a five K.
- 2:58Speaker 1: No, she did it with Michelty, did she?
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 3:00Speaker 1: They both Mary. Mary was like absolutely not not doing it.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Robin does it? It got it back back. I've got
- 3:10Speaker 1: this cold story, couldn't possibly do it.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Cody was blowing my back out, so I couldn't do
- 3:16Speaker 2: the five K. But she makes some shirts before the
- 3:21Speaker 2: family for the five K, and she designed them. They're
- 3:24Speaker 2: horribly designed.
- 3:25Speaker 1: My personal my sister wife closely designed.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Ugly, horrible, ugly designs. And she gets the shirts in
- 3:32Speaker 2: very last minute. She brings it over to Janelle's house
- 3:36Speaker 2: and she's like, Jane, I'm so worried because.
- 3:40Speaker 1: It's an EXL.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I don't know if your fat ass can fit into
- 3:44Speaker 2: this EXL, but I really hope it does. I'm so sorry.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I mustn't accidentally on a smaller side.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Basically, that is absolutely what it was giving. That's absolutely
- 3:57Speaker 1: what I think she did. I think she did it
- 3:59Speaker 1: on purpose. Yeah, I think on some level she knows
- 4:03Speaker 1: that Janelle is the queen yes, and she's rocking that
- 4:07Speaker 1: body Addie Audi. Yeah, she's got curves for days on me.
- 4:11Speaker 1: And she knows the Cody's watching. Yeah, she knows. There's
- 4:15Speaker 1: a little bit of a Las Vegas renaissance happening over
- 4:17Speaker 1: at Janelle's house, and so she's like, let me just
- 4:20Speaker 1: get this small little baby shirt and Janelle won't be
- 4:23Speaker 1: able to wear it, and everybody else will wear it
- 4:25Speaker 1: because we're in the actual family. Yeah, she's not. She
- 4:28Speaker 1: can't even run a five case. She's gonna walk the
- 4:30Speaker 1: whole thing.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yeah, Janelle's plus size, she has to do this five K.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Let's see if an EXL fitter, and joke's on you, Robin.
- 4:38Speaker 2: She Janelle fits into the EXEL looks beautiful and ugly
- 4:42Speaker 2: like all of.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Her curves, hour glass figure, beautiful, very beautiful, way pretty.
- 4:50Speaker 2: And Robin's bitter about it.
- 4:52Speaker 1: She's like, oh, that's great. I'm so glad it worked out.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Oh darn, I was hoping you would like rip the
- 4:56Speaker 2: shirt up or something, but no. Then they go and
- 4:59Speaker 2: run the k kind of may walk it.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Well, I mean, let's be real, because Janelle tells us
- 5:06Speaker 1: that just a year previous that she couldn't even walk
- 5:09Speaker 1: a mile and now she's gonna run walk three miles
- 5:12Speaker 1: and that's fantastic. And Cody, being the best husband ever,
- 5:16Speaker 1: is like, I'm gonna do it too, I'm gonna do
- 5:18Speaker 1: this with you. I'm here to support you. And then
- 5:22Speaker 1: as soon as they get there, he's off and running,
- 5:24Speaker 1: leaving her in the dust.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Ditches her because he's got his groove or what.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Got my own rhythm? I got my own pace. I've
- 5:32Speaker 1: got to establish my pace because he's so competitive about
- 5:36Speaker 1: it and sorry if you can't keep up, sorry about it.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Ditches Janelle at the back of the lamb with her
- 5:41Speaker 2: personal trainer. But she does the five k and so
- 5:45Speaker 2: does Cody, and it's a big accomplishment for Janelle, specifically
- 5:49Speaker 2: because Janelle couldn't walk like a mile more than a
- 5:52Speaker 2: mile last year or something like that, and so I
- 5:54Speaker 2: am happy about that. It was just kind of like
- 5:57Speaker 2: a whatever, nothing burger, besides the shirt thang where Robin's
- 6:01Speaker 2: totally fat shaming.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Well and the fact that Cody just abandons her like
- 6:05Speaker 1: and doesn't give a shit at all. And I was
- 6:07Speaker 1: just on Instagram today I almost sent it to you.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I was watching this guy talk about this footage of
- 6:13Speaker 1: a wife in an airport and she's filming her husband,
- 6:17Speaker 1: who has gotten on the moving walkway, doesn't even know
- 6:20Speaker 1: that she's like half a mile behind him, and he's
- 6:24Speaker 1: just trucking to the gate and does not give a
- 6:26Speaker 1: shit that she's not with him, doesn't know where she is,
- 6:30Speaker 1: and doesn't care. And the guy was actually like, Ladies,
- 6:33Speaker 1: if you're married to a guy like this, divorce him.
- 6:37Speaker 1: He does not give a fuck about you. It is
- 6:39Speaker 1: in our nature as men to protect women, to make
- 6:43Speaker 1: sure these women are okay, that they are where they
- 6:46Speaker 1: need to be. And if your man is walking a
- 6:48Speaker 1: half a mile ahead of you and doesn't even know
- 6:49Speaker 1: where you are, this man does not care about you fundamentally.
- 6:53Speaker 1: And I thought it was a very timely reel to
- 6:55Speaker 1: watch because here's Cody fucking Brown like half a mile
- 6:59Speaker 1: up setting his it's about my rhythm and Janelle. This
- 7:02Speaker 1: is about Janelle. Janelle is just all the way in
- 7:05Speaker 1: the back with her boys. Man.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I'm like giggling about it, not because it's funny, but
- 7:09Speaker 2: like just because it's like, Wow, I can't believe these
- 7:11Speaker 2: women like settle for men like that, men that just
- 7:14Speaker 2: completely abandon them in the airport. We're in the five
- 7:18Speaker 2: k They're just walking way ahead.
- 7:20Speaker 1: They're like, pace out, bitch, You're not even thinking about you.
- 7:23Speaker 1: You don't even register in his consciousness. It's all about him.
- 7:27Speaker 2: That's crazy to me, Like, I'm somebody who naturally walks
- 7:30Speaker 2: really really fast. And right in the beginning when I
- 7:32Speaker 2: started dating your daughter, she's like, can you slow the
- 7:34Speaker 2: fuck ye down because I didn't realize I was walking
- 7:37Speaker 2: a little bit ahead of her.
- 7:38Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh, okay, but I listen.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, okay, yes, I'll walk slowly with you.
- 7:42Speaker 2: And I don't give a shit. It's crazy to me
- 7:44Speaker 2: that people settle for that kind of stuff.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Yeah, but here we are.
- 7:48Speaker 2: And then the rest of the episode kind of bobs
- 7:51Speaker 2: back and forth between the wives going to San Francisco
- 7:55Speaker 2: because they need some bonding time because all of them
- 7:58Speaker 2: hate each other. Yeah, so they're gonna go to San
- 8:00Speaker 2: Francisco and pretend like they're friends. Meanwhile, they're going to
- 8:03Speaker 2: leave Cody at home with all of the kids by
- 8:08Speaker 2: himself for like three or four days or something like that.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Yes. Now, one of the reasons that the wives are
- 8:14Speaker 1: also saying that they're going to San Francisco is so
- 8:16Speaker 1: that they can all find or source dresses for the upcomings.
- 8:21Speaker 1: So stupid, ain't shit commitment ceremony that nobody cares about,
- 8:25Speaker 1: especially Janelle, Like they want to find dresses and so
- 8:27Speaker 1: they're going to go to these various and sundry boutiques
- 8:30Speaker 1: and places so that they can find those dresses. But yes,
- 8:33Speaker 1: Cody is back in Vegas, and we get these scenes
- 8:38Speaker 1: of him trying to manage all the kids when really
- 8:42Speaker 1: it's Aspen uh huh and Mchalte and Leon and Logan's
- 8:47Speaker 1: not there. Although Logan didn't show up because he's parentified
- 8:51Speaker 1: the real parents all of these kids because Cody can't
- 8:55Speaker 1: do it on his own.
- 8:56Speaker 2: And I mean, of course not. He's got like fourteen
- 8:59Speaker 2: kids like one parent. Yeah, it's a lot, and Cody
- 9:04Speaker 2: is a bit like whatever. He just shows up for
- 9:07Speaker 2: his required nights.
- 9:09Speaker 1: And get the require families. I'm gonna cook all of
- 9:11Speaker 1: our food for the entire week.
- 9:13Speaker 2: That was so sad, stupid, that was so dumb. I'm good.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I don't want to have to cook every single night
- 9:19Speaker 2: because I'm lazy, So I'm just gonna grill everything and
- 9:22Speaker 2: we're just gonna eat three dail grilled fucking chicken wings
- 9:27Speaker 2: and steak that are like barely says it. So anyway,
- 9:30Speaker 2: why Cody, Well, Cody is like grilling all of the
- 9:33Speaker 2: food for the entire week. It's pandemonium. Poor little Isabelle
- 9:37Speaker 2: is like running around in the cold de sac and
- 9:39Speaker 2: she like stubs her.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Toe because nobody sought to put shoes on her.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Well, and no parent is like watching the kids and
- 9:48Speaker 2: the could de sac, so they're just running them up.
- 9:50Speaker 2: She comes in with her fucking busted up toe, her
- 9:54Speaker 2: dirty ass feet, and Cody has to leave the grill
- 9:59Speaker 2: go ten to her steaks.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I mean, it's one thing if it's chicken, it's like
- 10:03Speaker 1: some wings. But like he left the steaks, thick gas steaks.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Yep, thick gas steaks.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Think of that five prices girl? How much money?
- 10:11Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 10:11Speaker 1: I was like, that is so much money you're leaving
- 10:13Speaker 1: on the girl.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I was hurting. I'm like, are you kidding me?
- 10:16Speaker 1: Idiot? But he's band dad.
- 10:18Speaker 2: He's going to take care of Isabelle's toe. He cleans
- 10:21Speaker 2: it off in the bathtub and puts a bandit on
- 10:23Speaker 2: it and everything, and then he realizes he burns the
- 10:25Speaker 2: fucking steaks. Like an idiot, like an idiot. And then
- 10:31Speaker 2: we go over to San Francisco where their wives arrive,
- 10:34Speaker 2: and apparently Mary's from the Bay Area. I didn't I
- 10:37Speaker 2: did not know that either, which I'm like, oh, okay,
- 10:39Speaker 2: interesting they got Mormons in.
- 10:41Speaker 1: The Bay Area I know.
- 10:42Speaker 2: I'm like, huh, wow, when did you live there? But
- 10:44Speaker 2: they're back in the Bay Area. They go to their hotel.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Apparently Robin had to bring King Solomon with her because
- 10:51Speaker 2: she's still breastfeeding him or something. And then we start
- 10:55Speaker 2: going shopping.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Well, Robin's friend Kendra was that? Who that was? That
- 11:00Speaker 1: was Kendra bitch oh that they had her name on
- 11:04Speaker 1: the televiszone And I'm like, is that the same Kendra
- 11:08Speaker 1: who was involved with the Merry Catfish? I think? Who
- 11:12Speaker 1: was getting information, who knew that the catfish was happening
- 11:15Speaker 1: and was feeding information about the cat fishing girl back
- 11:19Speaker 1: to Robin who was telling Cody. Is that the same
- 11:22Speaker 1: Kendra girl? I believe it is.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Oh my god, because I'm watching this, I'm like, who's Candra? Like,
- 11:27Speaker 2: I don't care about kids.
- 11:28Speaker 1: So Kendra's Robin's friend and she's very fashionable, not that
- 11:33Speaker 1: you know it by looking at her. So Kendra shows
- 11:35Speaker 1: up to take it to squire them about to various
- 11:38Speaker 1: boutiques and specialty shops so that they can find a dress.
- 11:43Speaker 1: And the first shop that they go to is for
- 11:47Speaker 1: straight sizes, so there's no plus sizes. And three out
- 11:50Speaker 1: of the four women, well three out of the five
- 11:52Speaker 1: women because Kendra's big, I can't wear any of these clothes.
- 11:55Speaker 1: So the only person who can try on the dresses,
- 11:59Speaker 1: model the dress, or purchase the dresses, well that would
- 12:01Speaker 1: be Robin and her skinny ass.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Dude, that was crazy, wasn't it. Like could you imagine
- 12:08Speaker 2: just like watching her for hours, probably just trying on
- 12:10Speaker 2: dress after dress after.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Modeling it for the camera, and she's like, no, I'll
- 12:15Speaker 1: show you what the dresses look like, and then maybe
- 12:18Speaker 1: if they can alter them and expand them way out
- 12:20Speaker 1: to tent like proportions, maybe then you can have the
- 12:24Speaker 1: dress for yourself, but I'll model them first.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Alert and like she has the goal to show her
- 12:33Speaker 2: calves and her ankles so much. Yeah, but like so
- 12:37Speaker 2: much skin, so naughty, And then we have a whole
- 12:40Speaker 2: conversation about like modesty and this is why they have
- 12:44Speaker 2: to wear their cameusols over a long sleeve shirt because
- 12:46Speaker 2: they don't want to show any kind of skin because
- 12:49Speaker 2: they're pure women. We have Robin, this little hoe over
- 12:53Speaker 2: here trying on knee length dresses, and San.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Francis when she came out in that hot pink dress,
- 13:02Speaker 1: that was awful. I thought it was pretty, but I thought,
- 13:04Speaker 1: that's Janelle's color, bitch, that is not your colors, Queen
- 13:09Speaker 1: Janelle's color. That like, none of these dresses are going
- 13:13Speaker 1: to fit the other three wives. I felt like it
- 13:16Speaker 1: was kind of like a humiliation ritual, just another attempt
- 13:21Speaker 1: to show these fat ladies that they're fat and that
- 13:24Speaker 1: Robin's thin and that she's the Favorite's like, this is
- 13:28Speaker 1: really set. And then they go to the plus size
- 13:30Speaker 1: store and the owner of the plus size store is like,
- 13:33Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Robin, but we don't serve your kind here.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Well, Robin asked like, is there anything I can try
- 13:38Speaker 2: on here?
- 13:39Speaker 1: Just like, no, you're thin. This is for fatties and stuff.
- 13:43Speaker 1: It's for plus sized people. And I was just like
- 13:46Speaker 1: really embarrassing. I was cringing as a plus size person
- 13:49Speaker 1: in my mind, in my mind, I'm a plus sized
- 13:51Speaker 1: Paton and I'm just like that is so embarrassing. And
- 13:54Speaker 1: then they start trotting these women. I know I'm skipping ahead.
- 13:57Speaker 1: They start trotting these plus size Oh she wives out
- 14:01Speaker 1: in like sacks awful multi colored sacks yep, that are
- 14:06Speaker 1: so terrible and look awful on each one of them.
- 14:08Speaker 1: And Robin's just sitting back. They're like, oh, yeah, he
- 14:10Speaker 1: loves it. Looks so pretty. Yep, Janelle, you should wear that. Yeah,
- 14:15Speaker 1: wear that.
- 14:15Speaker 2: You should wear the ugly frumpy dress that gives you
- 14:18Speaker 2: no shape at all.
- 14:19Speaker 1: So that way you look ugly compared.
- 14:21Speaker 2: To me because I'm a goddesss It's like so ridiculous.
- 14:24Speaker 2: And also the other thing I'm thinking of is like,
- 14:27Speaker 2: weren't you guys like just struggling financially, like just a
- 14:31Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago or whatever, and like you've sunk
- 14:33Speaker 2: all this money into my sister wives closet and everything,
- 14:36Speaker 2: and then you're gonna go to San Francisco and act
- 14:39Speaker 2: like you guys are some dalist celebrities going to shop
- 14:43Speaker 2: right in San Francis downtown, San France paying for it,
- 14:47Speaker 2: I guess, But they don't even buy any dresses. So
- 14:50Speaker 2: they're going and trying on all these dresses wasting everybody's time.
- 14:54Speaker 2: And then they go to a fabric store to go
- 14:56Speaker 2: and see if they can customize their wedding or commitment
- 15:00Speaker 2: ceremony dresses. And I don't remember anything about the commitment ceremony.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I don't know if I've ever seen those episodes, But
- 15:08Speaker 2: those aren't the brown sack dresses, right, I don't think so, Robin.
- 15:12Speaker 1: So I think that they were dressed very badly, and
- 15:16Speaker 1: I think if I recall correctly, definitely correct me if
- 15:18Speaker 1: I'm wrong. I think they have some sort of a
- 15:21Speaker 1: seamstress that comes in and sews their dresses, and they
- 15:26Speaker 1: are absolute dogshit. They are like sacks. They are so terribleso,
- 15:31Speaker 1: Like whatever fabric they're gonna get in this episode is
- 15:34Speaker 1: going to be turned into I think, like hor horrendous
- 15:40Speaker 1: dresses by this seamstress who like doesn't know how to sew,
- 15:43Speaker 1: and it's going to be great, It's going to be fantastic.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Crazy to me, why didn't Mary just make everybody's dresses.
- 15:49Speaker 2: She made every all the kids's pajamas and stuff every
- 15:51Speaker 2: single year.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I don't know. But then there's Robin like yeah, and
- 15:53Speaker 1: like Kandra's a designers, like she's at the fabric store,
- 15:57Speaker 1: just sketching this great dress that I wear, and like
- 16:00Speaker 1: it's just a color. It's a theme. Like we're all
- 16:03Speaker 1: gonna have the same color theme, but like we'll have
- 16:06Speaker 1: different dresses. I eat, mine's gonna be sexy and awesome, right,
- 16:09Speaker 1: and they're gonna wear tents.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Basically want and then they like leave with nothing, and
- 16:15Speaker 2: then they go to dinner at some point at some
- 16:18Speaker 2: like loud restaurant, irish pub. Yeah, oh that's right. Yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 2: and then they go and try.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Beer and like they're all scandalized by it a little bit.
- 16:25Speaker 1: But Robin won't have any. She won't even try so
- 16:29Speaker 1: pure pure more breastfeeding, Oh they still do it. If
- 16:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna baby and I'm the fertile one, what everyone
- 16:34Speaker 1: who can still have children? Yeah, so I can't have
- 16:37Speaker 1: any ale.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Right, But all the other wives try the smallest SIPs
- 16:43Speaker 2: known to man kind of all these little beers or whatever.
- 16:47Speaker 1: And Janelle, my queen, she's like, that tastes great.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's awesome.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I like it a lot. And I don't care if
- 16:52Speaker 1: Cody pears that I'm drinking, because he doesn't control me, bitch.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I can do whatever I want. Furthermore, he doesn't even
- 16:59Speaker 1: try it because he already knows. Don't try it with me.
- 17:03Speaker 2: And did you see how Robin looked at her when
- 17:04Speaker 2: she said that, Like, Robin looked like so judgmental.
- 17:08Speaker 1: She said something like, well, but he's our husband, and
- 17:11Speaker 1: like he might have an opinion about it, and Janelle's like,
- 17:13Speaker 1: what opinion? I don't care. I do what I want.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I don't give a shit, And like, from what Janelle's
- 17:19Speaker 2: saying is very base, like very benign. To me, it
- 17:23Speaker 2: was like, I'm not gonna let a man tell me
- 17:25Speaker 2: what to do. But you know, for a show that
- 17:28Speaker 2: Robin took that and spun it, took Cody like Janelle
- 17:33Speaker 2: doesn't respect him, doesn't respect him as her husband.
- 17:37Speaker 1: She was drinking, she was alcohol.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Didn't tell you that she was drinking alcohol, Like you know,
- 17:43Speaker 2: Robin took that and went back to Cody with it.
- 17:46Speaker 2: But whatever. And then at the Irish pub, this is
- 17:48Speaker 2: where Cody decides to call each of the wives and
- 17:51Speaker 2: he starts with Christine first, and this is where we
- 17:55Speaker 2: had that famous scene of Robin with her hard ass job.
- 17:59Speaker 1: It's a big joh honey, he is so mad. It
- 18:01Speaker 1: is hard. It's big with your mouth. It's straight. Yep,
- 18:04Speaker 1: it's hard to miss. It is so hard right on
- 18:06Speaker 1: her face. She is so mad, it's crazy.
- 18:11Speaker 2: And so all the wives talk about how awkward it
- 18:14Speaker 2: is to like have a conversation with Cody in front
- 18:17Speaker 2: of all the other wives, and how a phone call
- 18:19Speaker 2: should be private and that they shouldn't be in front
- 18:23Speaker 2: of all the other wives. All the other wives are
- 18:24Speaker 2: kella awkward, except for Robin, who seems really mad because
- 18:29Speaker 2: Cody didn't call her first or something. But it was
- 18:32Speaker 2: just really weird to me. I'm just like again, like,
- 18:34Speaker 2: you know that he's fucking each and every one of you.
- 18:37Speaker 1: He's gdually whole head in between all y'all's legs, Yeah,
- 18:42Speaker 1: doing the cunny lingu. And as soon as he's done
- 18:45Speaker 1: with the cunny lingu with you, he goes to do
- 18:47Speaker 1: the cuney lingo with her. But you guys, that's why
- 18:51Speaker 1: y'all have cold source and you guys can't talk. You
- 18:54Speaker 1: can't pretend that you're all married to the same person.
- 18:56Speaker 1: You gotta have a hard john and sit with your
- 18:59Speaker 1: leaning back. I can't believe the audacity.
- 19:02Speaker 2: It's so insane to me. But anyway, I think. In
- 19:05Speaker 2: the conversation with Christine, this is where Cody starts to
- 19:09Speaker 2: tell her about everything.
- 19:10Speaker 1: That's going on with all of the kids.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Isabelle stubbed her toe and I burned all the steaks.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Oh and by the way, like truly.
- 19:17Speaker 1: It's not long for this world. She's literally fading out
- 19:22Speaker 1: like a little candle.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Truly's just got the flu and she is extremely lethargic.
- 19:28Speaker 1: She's like doubled over on the floor.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Pale, Like, what the fuck are we doing? Coach, She's like, yeah,
- 19:33Speaker 2: I don't know, Like she seems like, okay, it seems
- 19:36Speaker 2: like the flu or something, but she doesn't have a fever.
- 19:39Speaker 1: It's fine. I'm a dad, Yeah, and I would know
- 19:41Speaker 1: if it were bad, so it's okay, don't worry about it. Meanwhile,
- 19:44Speaker 1: Panta truly just slumped over on the floor. And then
- 19:47Speaker 1: my little baby, Okay, I'm scared.
- 19:49Speaker 2: And I looked up what happened her. She was in
- 19:51Speaker 2: kidney feeling, I know, and she had to be on dialysis.
- 19:53Speaker 2: She was in the hospital for eleven days.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Als, Yes, how'd she get in kidney failure? She was
- 19:59Speaker 1: extremely hydrated, so nobody's given her water.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I guess should juice box. Yeah, I guess she was
- 20:05Speaker 2: extremely dehydrated. That's why she went cross high. We see
- 20:08Speaker 2: that in the preview for the next episode, so cross eyed,
- 20:11Speaker 2: and then she ended up in kidney failure, was on
- 20:12Speaker 2: dialysis for eleven freaking days. Yeah, I'm mad at.
- 20:17Speaker 1: The way I would come skipping home with brass knuckles
- 20:21Speaker 1: to beat my husband.
- 20:22Speaker 2: She's three years old at this point.
- 20:25Speaker 1: How do you miss the signs that this kid is
- 20:28Speaker 1: dehydrated and needs some water or.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Something like what the hell?
- 20:33Speaker 1: Oh, she's got the flow though, Okay, we he's depending
- 20:37Speaker 1: on Aspen and the other older kids right to be
- 20:40Speaker 1: able to take care of this, and so he doesn't
- 20:42Speaker 1: feel like he really needs to monitor and watch these
- 20:44Speaker 1: little ones. Crazy to me, which is the real story,
- 20:47Speaker 1: is like he's not an actual parent and he's not
- 20:49Speaker 1: an actual dad. He just outsources that to everybody else.
- 20:53Speaker 1: So he misses the fact that she's in kidney failure.
- 20:56Speaker 1: It's insane to me. Can we backtrack a second, Yeah,
- 20:59Speaker 1: because there was a conversation that happened on the couch
- 21:02Speaker 1: between the four wives and Mary was saying something like, yeah,
- 21:07Speaker 1: I mean, I guess it's fine that we're going to
- 21:10Speaker 1: the Bay Area. Yeah, I mean, I know that we're
- 21:13Speaker 1: doing it for the commitment ceremony, but I don't really
- 21:15Speaker 1: understand why we're having a commitment ceremony because I don't
- 21:18Speaker 1: know what the vision is. I don't know what the
- 21:20Speaker 1: fuck she was saying.
- 21:21Speaker 2: It was something like that, like, my heart's not in it.
- 21:23Speaker 1: My heart's not in what the commitment ceremony, the family,
- 21:27Speaker 1: my heart's not in the trip. I don't really want
- 21:29Speaker 1: to bond with these women because I don't believe in it.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Like she was kind of a Debbie downer about the
- 21:35Speaker 1: whole thing, and I didn't understand what the problem was,
- 21:38Speaker 1: did you? No.
- 21:39Speaker 2: I think Mary is the kind of person that because
- 21:42Speaker 2: she doesn't like outwardly express her feelings like, Hey, I'm
- 21:47Speaker 2: feeling really lonely because Leon's leaving the house and I'm
- 21:51Speaker 2: gonna be an empty nester and Cody's not fucking me anymore,
- 21:53Speaker 2: and I feel like I have no friends, Like instead
- 21:55Speaker 2: of saying that with her full chest, she's super passive, aggressive,
- 21:59Speaker 2: and like I I think she takes it out on
- 22:01Speaker 2: everybody else. So it's like, well, I just don't feel
- 22:03Speaker 2: connected to all of these women, and I don't feel
- 22:05Speaker 2: like my heart's in this commitment s there me, like,
- 22:08Speaker 2: what's the fucking point instead of just expressing like how
- 22:11Speaker 2: you actually feel like you want to shit on everything else.
- 22:13Speaker 1: So I'm wondering if things in Mary's life are starting
- 22:16Speaker 1: to quiet down because Leon's about to leave and everybody's
- 22:21Speaker 1: got their own place, and now it's becoming glaringly obvious
- 22:25Speaker 1: that she is just not happy, and instead of like
- 22:29Speaker 1: addressing that and trying to have healthy conversations, she's sending
- 22:33Speaker 1: up these little flares to sort of indicate, yeah, I
- 22:36Speaker 1: know this is important for you guys. You guys want
- 22:38Speaker 1: to bond with each other, but like, I don't know
- 22:40Speaker 1: if I believe in that or that we could even
- 22:42Speaker 1: be connected. It's like this little passive, aggressive flair that
- 22:46Speaker 1: she's sending up that she's profoundly unhappy. And of course,
- 22:50Speaker 1: in a couple of years, we are going to get
- 22:52Speaker 1: Kendra and Robin and Cody and Mary with a banana
- 22:55Speaker 1: in her mouth, in a tub talking to a woman
- 22:57Speaker 1: who's pretended to be a man falling in love with
- 22:59Speaker 1: this guy. And I feel like this is where it
- 23:04Speaker 1: all begins. Of course it begins before this, because I
- 23:06Speaker 1: don't know if they were ever happy. I think they
- 23:08Speaker 1: were always pretty dysfunctional. But it was so busy yet
- 23:12Speaker 1: that Mary really didn't have the space to notice it.
- 23:15Speaker 1: But here we're noticing it as soon as we get
- 23:18Speaker 1: into the Call to Sack. Everybody's noticing it.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Right, And she seems so resistant to like try and
- 23:23Speaker 2: get along with all of them, Like at this point,
- 23:26Speaker 2: we know her and Robin are the only close ones. Like,
- 23:29Speaker 2: she does not like Christine, she does not like Janelle.
- 23:31Speaker 2: They've had their falling outs from the past, and they've
- 23:34Speaker 2: just been tolerating each other up to this point. But
- 23:37Speaker 2: like I can notice, like there was some comment about
- 23:41Speaker 2: like Christine wearing leggings as pants or something, and like
- 23:44Speaker 2: Mary' says something really bitchy, like I would never be
- 23:47Speaker 2: got dead wearing pants like leggings as pants. I'm just
- 23:50Speaker 2: not that kind of person.
- 23:51Speaker 1: And then she goes on to sell Lula roue Yes,
- 23:53Speaker 1: which is all leggings exactly. It it's so like unnecessarily
- 23:58Speaker 1: mean and judgmental.
- 23:59Speaker 2: It's super judgmental, and it's like I feel like Christine
- 24:02Speaker 2: in these earlier seasons, even though she is a bit
- 24:04Speaker 2: much and she's a bit annoying and MCKELTI, like she does.
- 24:10Speaker 2: I feel like she's trying really hard to like be
- 24:14Speaker 2: okay and like be okay with her failing marriage, like
- 24:17Speaker 2: be okay with this new wife, Robin, who has obviously
- 24:21Speaker 2: become Cody's favorite. Like, I feel like she's really trying
- 24:24Speaker 2: to toe the line, trying to be friends with Robin.
- 24:27Speaker 2: She's trying to be nice to everybody, and like Mary
- 24:30Speaker 2: is just negative.
- 24:31Speaker 1: She's becoming a problem. Yes. And then there's Janelle and
- 24:35Speaker 1: she's just like I don't really need all that. No,
- 24:37Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm gonna write and stuff. I got my place, yep,
- 24:40Speaker 1: but I have my own thing that I'm doing and happy.
- 24:42Speaker 1: But Mary not happy, not happy at all. No, it's
- 24:46Speaker 1: crazy to me.
- 24:48Speaker 2: And then that was pretty much it. Like Cody calls
- 24:51Speaker 2: each one of the wives, it's hella awkward at the
- 24:53Speaker 2: Irish Pub, Robin's super mad about it. Once we get
- 24:57Speaker 2: to Robin's phone call, she's like hiding in the core
- 25:00Speaker 2: her behind the pub, like.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Or like, just take your phone to the bathroom and
- 25:05Speaker 1: talk to you. Why didn't they do that from the beginning.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I don't understand. I don't know, but.
- 25:10Speaker 2: You have on the phone. I love Meanwhile, all the
- 25:16Speaker 2: other wives are getting like, you know, updates on what's
- 25:20Speaker 2: going on, updates on the.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Bills, the kid happening, and everybody's eating charcoal steak.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah, burned all the steaks that I spent a bunch
- 25:29Speaker 2: of money on. And then the wives return and Truly
- 25:34Speaker 2: immediately wants Christine. Aspen debriefs Christine and I think all
- 25:39Speaker 2: of the rest of the moms of like everything that's happened,
- 25:41Speaker 2: because Aspen was the real parent the last three days.
- 25:45Speaker 2: And Aspen tells Christine that Truly was just bawling for
- 25:49Speaker 2: her mom pretty much the last like day and a half.
- 25:53Speaker 2: The three year old baby. She wants her mom, and
- 25:54Speaker 2: she's in pain, obviously, and you can see it.
- 25:57Speaker 1: She looks really sick.
- 25:59Speaker 2: And then the wives tell Cody about the trip, how
- 26:03Speaker 2: they didn't buy any dresses, and Cody's like, wasn't that
- 26:06Speaker 2: the whole point of you going to this TLC funded
- 26:09Speaker 2: San Francisco trip? And Christine's like, well, but we like
- 26:13Speaker 2: bonded though, a little bit, did you Are you sure
- 26:15Speaker 2: about that?
- 26:16Speaker 1: No? Are you sure about that?
- 26:19Speaker 2: No?
- 26:19Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 26:20Speaker 2: And then Janelle's like, I'm glad to be home because
- 26:22Speaker 2: at least we're all together and I can go back
- 26:24Speaker 2: to my job away from everybody else, right, right, And
- 26:28Speaker 2: then we have the preview for the next episode, and
- 26:30Speaker 2: I think the next two episodes are going to be
- 26:32Speaker 2: kind of heavy because I think it's all about Truly's
- 26:34Speaker 2: health issues.
- 26:35Speaker 1: And then when dying, right, I think, so, I think
- 26:38Speaker 1: Win's gonna be dying here shortly.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but and then we have Leon's last day before university.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I literally don't care, and I'm snory.
- 26:47Speaker 2: I don't give a shit. Yeah, I care more about
- 26:49Speaker 2: Truly and everything else.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Going on in the family. And doesn't the lore state
- 26:55Speaker 1: that Christine becomes very unhappy with Cody for being at
- 27:00Speaker 1: the very least unobservant of the fact that Truly is
- 27:03Speaker 1: that deathly ill like and the way they're framing it,
- 27:06Speaker 1: like the whole family's praying for her, and somebody's like, yeah,
- 27:09Speaker 1: we just don't know if she's gonna make it.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Well because she was super sick. She was in kidney
- 27:13Speaker 2: failure at three, so it is kind of a miracle
- 27:16Speaker 2: that she was able to pull out of that and everything.
- 27:19Speaker 2: But yeah, I've seen various posts on the reddits and
- 27:23Speaker 2: the instagrams talking about that because I think Christine does
- 27:27Speaker 2: express like some resentment over Cody not being attentive over
- 27:33Speaker 2: the kids and everything, and Cody being like, what wasn't
- 27:35Speaker 2: my fault? And a lot of people actually agree with
- 27:40Speaker 2: Cody a little bit because the thing with kids it
- 27:43Speaker 2: is like they're okay until they're not right and they
- 27:46Speaker 2: crash really hard, and like kids can mask their pain
- 27:49Speaker 2: really well. And like Cody also was by himself with
- 27:53Speaker 2: fifteen other No, he.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Wasn't though, and that's the problem. And I think I've
- 27:56Speaker 1: seen this framed as Christine's touring test. Is that what
- 28:01Speaker 1: it's called when the AI becomes aware of itself. So
- 28:03Speaker 1: it's like the moment she becomes aware of like, oh,
- 28:06Speaker 1: this is really fucked up though, like she's been unhappy too,
- 28:09Speaker 1: but like this is the moment of clarity and an
- 28:11Speaker 1: epiphany for her, Like, oh, he sucks. Sucks though, because
- 28:16Speaker 1: if he had been present, truly and it wasn't Aspen
- 28:20Speaker 1: and michel T and Logan and all the other kids,
- 28:24Speaker 1: he might have been able to notice that there was something.
- 28:27Speaker 1: I mean, I can notice just seeing her slumped over.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Then I get it that there's no fever, and that's
- 28:31Speaker 1: a good predictor. But like, if it had been me,
- 28:34Speaker 1: I'd have been like, there's some very wrong with her.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I'm going to take her at least to the walking
- 28:38Speaker 1: clinic and have a doctor have a look and see
- 28:40Speaker 1: what's going on. So like, he's not present enough to
- 28:44Speaker 1: even make that call. Yeah, that's the problem, and that's
- 28:47Speaker 1: Christine's like, Okay, it's one thing if you don't give
- 28:50Speaker 1: a fuck about me, but it's quite another if you
- 28:53Speaker 1: dote on King Solomon and all of Robin's kids and
- 28:57Speaker 1: you miss the fact that my child is in the
- 28:59Speaker 1: process of exiting the world and thoughts of you and
- 29:02Speaker 1: the horse that you rode in on.
- 29:04Speaker 2: And that's a great point. I think where people come
- 29:06Speaker 2: from on Reddit is like you can't blame like one
- 29:09Speaker 2: parent or the other for not noticing those kinds of things.
- 29:12Speaker 2: But at the same time, it's like, yeah, Gody, you're
- 29:15Speaker 2: not present enough and you're not like emotionally connected enough
- 29:19Speaker 2: to your kids to be able to pick up on that.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Because to him, he's looking at it like, oh, Okham's razor,
- 29:25Speaker 2: it's probably just the flu.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Or something like whatever. She'll be fine.
- 29:28Speaker 2: But it's like, no, if you were emotionally tuned in
- 29:31Speaker 2: and connected to your kid, you would know. I feel
- 29:34Speaker 2: like parents who are connected to their kids would be like,
- 29:37Speaker 2: there's something physically wrong with it.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Did you sleep there that night? It sounds like Aspen
- 29:42Speaker 1: slept there that night. It sounds like Michelti was there
- 29:45Speaker 1: that night, right, Why weren't you there with truly so
- 29:48Speaker 1: like and he's trying to play it off like, well,
- 29:50Speaker 1: I'm a dad, like I would know if something was
- 29:52Speaker 1: truly wrong. It's okay, there's no fever, but like, you
- 29:55Speaker 1: weren't even really there. And that's where Christine, if I'm Christine,
- 29:58Speaker 1: I'm like, so you didn't sleep in the same bedies
- 30:00Speaker 1: you bring her into your bed and sleep with her
- 30:02Speaker 1: and watch her all night? Like what?
- 30:03Speaker 2: Yeah? Like why were the elder teenagers responsible for the
- 30:07Speaker 2: little kids in the family, Like why didn't Cody have
- 30:11Speaker 2: all of the little kids from each family with him.
- 30:14Speaker 1: In his big bed specifically like have a slumber party, right.
- 30:17Speaker 2: And then the elder teenagers take care of the older
- 30:20Speaker 2: kids like the nine and ten.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Because he doesn't. I think he cares, but I think
- 30:24Speaker 1: he depends so much on everybody else and delegating all
- 30:27Speaker 1: of that to somebody else that he's just not thinking
- 30:30Speaker 1: and so for me, if I'm Christine, like that would
- 30:33Speaker 1: be the moment I'm just like mmmmmmmm untenable marital situation, bitch.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Well, And that's usually what happens, like in a marriage
- 30:42Speaker 2: when there's a kid that ends up like really sick
- 30:45Speaker 2: or dies or whatever, like, it can put a lot
- 30:48Speaker 2: of strain on the marriage because of like resentment issues
- 30:51Speaker 2: and stuff. Even Barry and Kim Plath had that issue
- 30:54Speaker 2: when their youngest their younger boy Joshua died, Like Barry
- 30:59Speaker 2: talked about how he had to deal with resentment over
- 31:02Speaker 2: Kim of how she handled that situation. So of course,
- 31:05Speaker 2: and I think if I remember correctly, this is where
- 31:09Speaker 2: Cody starts becoming really bitter towards Christine because he feels
- 31:12Speaker 2: like she blamed him one hundred percent for this thing
- 31:14Speaker 2: that happened with Truly, and it's again speaks to his
- 31:17Speaker 2: narcissism of not being able to take any kind of
- 31:20Speaker 2: ownership or accountability for the fact that he was negligent
- 31:23Speaker 2: and didn't pay attention to Truly and her declining health status,
- 31:29Speaker 2: Like it's crazy to.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Me and like if he wanted to, he would is what.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Yet we often say about dudes and if you fast
- 31:37Speaker 1: forward to Janelle and the big Christmas fight, that was
- 31:42Speaker 1: because she finally became aware of the impact it was
- 31:46Speaker 1: having on her kids and the fact that he was
- 31:49Speaker 1: straight up calling out her boys and being antagon like
- 31:52Speaker 1: he had to be so antagonistic toward her children for
- 31:55Speaker 1: her to even make the decision like, yeah, this isn't
- 31:57Speaker 1: worth it, I don't want this anymore. Yeah, it's like
- 31:59Speaker 1: this moment with a woman where like, I can put
- 32:02Speaker 1: up with a lot of neglect of myself, my person,
- 32:05Speaker 1: this and that, Like I can suffer for it if
- 32:08Speaker 1: I've got kids, but the moment it is directed toward them,
- 32:11Speaker 1: or if there's evidence that you're neglectful or even abusive,
- 32:15Speaker 1: that's it. I can't come back from that. And that's
- 32:17Speaker 1: the thing with women. I don't even know if men
- 32:19Speaker 1: can understand it. But like with women, you hit a wall.
- 32:22Speaker 1: You try for a very long time, and we see Christine,
- 32:24Speaker 1: You're right, she's trying, she's being conciliatory, she's trying to
- 32:27Speaker 1: make it work with Robin, she's trying to be a
- 32:29Speaker 1: good sister wife. But then we hit that fucking wall
- 32:33Speaker 1: and there is absolutely now going back from that. I
- 32:35Speaker 1: know she tries. I know they go to Galveston. I
- 32:38Speaker 1: know they make a caaren like a rock structure. I know,
- 32:41Speaker 1: I know all of that. But I think at this
- 32:43Speaker 1: point this is the beginning of the end for Christine's heart.
- 32:46Speaker 1: It starts to break right here at the foundation is
- 32:49Speaker 1: not steady anymore. And interestingly, it's happening with Mary too,
- 32:53Speaker 1: just in a very different way. She's also being profoundly neglected.
- 32:57Speaker 1: And then Janelle is as well. But she's comfortable. And
- 33:01Speaker 1: that's the thing about a Taurus woman, Like, if I'm comfortable,
- 33:04Speaker 1: it covers a multitude of sins, right, But when I
- 33:06Speaker 1: start to become uncomfortable, like because my kids are crying, Yeah,
- 33:10Speaker 1: now I'm I'm getting up out of the bed and
- 33:12Speaker 1: I'm good in my breast knuckles, right, it's about to
- 33:14Speaker 1: go down.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yep.
- 33:15Speaker 1: That's Jane well.
- 33:16Speaker 2: And Janelle seems like the kind of person too where
- 33:18Speaker 2: she's like very easy going, like you don't have to
- 33:20Speaker 2: do a lot no, And like then it just became
- 33:24Speaker 2: where Cody didn't do anything. And then it's like, Okay,
- 33:27Speaker 2: how can I even tolerate this now when it's affecting
- 33:29Speaker 2: the kids. But yeah, this this was concerning to me,
- 33:33Speaker 2: I felt really bad for Dreulie. I had to look
- 33:35Speaker 2: up like what happened to her because I couldn't remember exactly,
- 33:38Speaker 2: and so I'm sorry for spoiling it, but like I
- 33:41Speaker 2: just felt I think.
- 33:41Speaker 1: They all know she's alive. We just watched season nineteen.
- 33:43Speaker 2: But like if people haven't watched season six, but it's like,
- 33:46Speaker 2: you know, I just felt bad watching little truly be
- 33:49Speaker 2: physibly sick. She's three and all bald and cute.
- 33:55Speaker 1: And she's so sick, wispy little tendrils. That's how I
- 33:58Speaker 1: was a baby. I was bald to four, so adorable.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Yeah, poor baby.
- 34:04Speaker 1: So Cody ain't shit, Cody's piece of shit. He's a
- 34:07Speaker 1: bad dad.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Oh my god, fat shaming.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Completely passively the entire episode. Such a mean girl very much.
- 34:15Speaker 1: So wow, is there anything else that we need to
- 34:18Speaker 1: say to these beautiful raccoons before we get up on
- 34:21Speaker 1: out of here? Beatrice?
