- 0:07Speaker 1: Banks and cryptos starting to merge. We could see something
- 0:10Speaker 1: big happening in the market very soon. My name is
- 0:12Speaker 1: Paul Barren. Welcome back in a tech path. I do
- 0:14Speaker 1: want to thank our sponsor, and that is Tangent, a
- 0:16Speaker 1: great place to do self custy. And the cool thing
- 0:18Speaker 1: with Tangent if you jump over to their website just
- 0:20Speaker 1: tangum dot com is you can use their three card set.
- 0:23Speaker 1: That's the one I use. This works if you have
- 0:26Speaker 1: never seen this wallet before, where it's like a little
- 0:29Speaker 1: credit card and it works with your phone and you
- 0:31Speaker 1: can use this on the Apple phone, the Android phones.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Very easy to set up. All you have to do
- 0:36Speaker 1: is cut that little blue Tangent button, get the three
- 0:38Speaker 1: card set right there. You've got a lot of options here.
- 0:41Speaker 1: If you're a bitcoiner, you can go there. If you
- 0:43Speaker 1: like to play a little bit more patriotic, get in there,
- 0:46Speaker 1: have some fun. The key here is get into self custy,
- 0:50Speaker 1: get your tokens off exchanges, and manage your own self
- 0:53Speaker 1: custody journey. Use our link down below to get things started.
- 0:56Speaker 1: O all right, te let's go over to another channel partner.
- 0:59Speaker 1: And this was news for Sue and Sweet Network. The
- 1:04Speaker 1: big thing is is now this is live on Phantom
- 1:07Speaker 1: and many of you guys, if you're in our diamond circle.
- 1:09Speaker 1: By the way, we've been tracking a lot of the
- 1:10Speaker 1: Sweet meme tokens. If you haven't been tracking that, I'll
- 1:14Speaker 1: show you some cool stuff here. One thing to think
- 1:17Speaker 1: about when you look at Phantom in general is the
- 1:20Speaker 1: fact that this expansion with Swie is going to get
- 1:23Speaker 1: exposure to about fifteen million active users on Phantom, eight
- 1:27Speaker 1: hundred and fifty million in on chain transactions, and almost
- 1:31Speaker 1: twenty five billion in self custoy asset. So imagine when
- 1:34Speaker 1: you have a network like Swee getting ready to go
- 1:36Speaker 1: into a Phantom ecosystem that is that large, along with
- 1:40Speaker 1: a lot of these memes that will probably carry over
- 1:42Speaker 1: as well. The other thing to watch is some of
- 1:46Speaker 1: the things that is live on the Sweet network within
- 1:48Speaker 1: Phantom right now. Seamless Swee integration, so you can add
- 1:52Speaker 1: addresses right into the accounts within Phantom, Private key import,
- 1:57Speaker 1: you can send and receive Suite and plus bungibles over there.
- 2:00Speaker 1: So there's a lot of features that are already built
- 2:02Speaker 1: into it. It's very early, so check that out. The
- 2:05Speaker 1: other thing that is coming or that we'll be heading
- 2:08Speaker 1: toward phantom is the app crosschain swaps will also see
- 2:13Speaker 1: NFT support coming in. And then the thing I'm looking
- 2:16Speaker 1: for is the trending apps. So you're going to be
- 2:18Speaker 1: able to discover the most popular suite based tokens and
- 2:22Speaker 1: decentralized apps out there that I think will be a
- 2:24Speaker 1: big one going forward. All right, and if you are
- 2:27Speaker 1: following again, by the way, if you're not in our
- 2:30Speaker 1: Diamond circle or in our Telegram group, get in there.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It's really easy to do. Just join the link down
- 2:36Speaker 1: below and we talk about things like this. Right here,
- 2:39Speaker 1: I'm looking at deck screener in the swee chain and
- 2:43Speaker 1: these are the tokens that currently are pumping. And of
- 2:46Speaker 1: course we've seen everything from Asian s. We saw Tarty
- 2:50Speaker 1: take a move. Many of you guys have probably already
- 2:52Speaker 1: been on blub which is a big one that we've
- 2:55Speaker 1: been watching, and of course you've got even Sweetee had
- 2:59Speaker 1: a hundred and fifteen percent move. And then what was
- 3:03Speaker 1: the other one that oh a Ada was the one
- 3:05Speaker 1: of the agents in there had a twenty two percent
- 3:07Speaker 1: move in the last twenty four so a lot of
- 3:09Speaker 1: good liquidity in there. The cool thing that I think
- 3:11Speaker 1: you guys are doing if you're not watching desk screener
- 3:14Speaker 1: deck screener, I want to give you guys a couple
- 3:16Speaker 1: of tips. If you're not checking the maker number, that's
- 3:19Speaker 1: what you're really kind of tracking, right there is that's
- 3:21Speaker 1: how many people are out there in the ecosystem. Make
- 3:24Speaker 1: sure and look at that to kind of get a
- 3:26Speaker 1: good basis around how these are working. Always do your
- 3:30Speaker 1: own research when you're checking these out. Anyway, let's get
- 3:32Speaker 1: into it. I want to go into the first clip today,
- 3:35Speaker 1: and this clip is chair Pal going completely aping in
- 3:41Speaker 1: on crypto. Take a look.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Our role with bitcoin really is to look at with
- 3:47Speaker 2: crypto really is to look at the banks. And you know,
- 3:51Speaker 2: we we think it's you know, banks are perfectly able
- 3:55Speaker 2: to serve crypto customers as long as they understand and
- 3:59Speaker 2: can manage the risk. And it's not safe and sound
- 4:01Speaker 2: as many of our a good number of our banks
- 4:03Speaker 2: right that we regulate the supervis do that. You know,
- 4:08Speaker 2: the threshold has been a little a little higher for
- 4:10Speaker 2: banks engaging in.
- 4:12Speaker 1: All right, So there you have it. This happened right
- 4:14Speaker 1: after we went off the live stream, of course, yesterday
- 4:17Speaker 1: during the FOMC where the rake fed rate was basically
- 4:22Speaker 1: held at zero, so I'm meaning no change. And of
- 4:25Speaker 1: course they announced that they think banks should be able
- 4:28Speaker 1: to hold crypto. Of course, that of course coming and
- 4:30Speaker 1: stemming out of the SAB one twenty one which has
- 4:32Speaker 1: been rescinded. Wells Fargo is now telling advisors to sell
- 4:36Speaker 1: the new Bitcoin ETF. So that's a pretty big deal
- 4:39Speaker 1: when you start to see major exchange or major banks
- 4:42Speaker 1: like Wells Fargo starting to go in this direction. Remember
- 4:45Speaker 1: that Fidelity has been in this business for quite some time,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and many others. Obviously with the ETFs, you could go
- 4:51Speaker 1: to black Rock, you can go to ARC, There's many
- 4:53Speaker 1: out there that have already started to move. The key
- 4:56Speaker 1: thing here, I think is the fact we're going to
- 4:58Speaker 1: see so many new banks starting to custody and potentially
- 5:01Speaker 1: sell crypto assets. The other one that I'm watching very
- 5:05Speaker 1: closely is JP Morgan, and I want to play a
- 5:07Speaker 1: clip for you that will reveal some interesting things of
- 5:11Speaker 1: what JP Morgan's doing. Take a look.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Twenty twenty five will be a very exciting year at
- 5:18Speaker 3: JP Morgan Payments. We are launching the paypad and the
- 5:21Speaker 3: pinpet devices that will make our clients accepting payments even easier.
- 5:26Speaker 2: It shows how the client can check in with their
- 5:28Speaker 2: face and also check out at payment time, never needed
- 5:32Speaker 2: to touch their wallet.
- 5:36Speaker 1: All right, So that's new technology coming into the retail systems.
- 5:39Speaker 1: We'll see this in banks, retail stores, all sorts of things,
- 5:42Speaker 1: and it seems to be leapfrogging what is existing out
- 5:45Speaker 1: there right now on the point of sale systems. They're
- 5:47Speaker 1: really in the retail centers. If JP Morgan is successful
- 5:51Speaker 1: in getting something like that integrated into commerce, this could
- 5:55Speaker 1: be a big deal. And just remember JP Morgan onyx,
- 5:58Speaker 1: the connection to Avalanche. Guys have heard us talk about this.
- 6:01Speaker 1: This was rebranded as Connecxus, next Generation Financial Infrastructure. That
- 6:06Speaker 1: has been happening. And of course the other thing you
- 6:08Speaker 1: have to look at is what they're looking forward to,
- 6:11Speaker 1: which is a ton of new products that are coming in.
- 6:14Speaker 1: So lots happening over here on JP Morgan. As they
- 6:17Speaker 1: start to get into more potential integration into blockchain, I
- 6:22Speaker 1: think it's going to be a surprise. We may see
- 6:24Speaker 1: a JP Morgan coin coming at us pretty quickly. Here's
- 6:27Speaker 1: another piece of news that I think is important. Of course,
- 6:29Speaker 1: you have to look at the Japanese market. And when
- 6:31Speaker 1: you look at the Japanese market, you got to look
- 6:33Speaker 1: at SBI. SBI is all in on ripple, all in
- 6:39Speaker 1: on XARP and if you look at this, Japan's banks
- 6:41Speaker 1: are preparing to adopt XRP for seamless transactions. This is
- 6:44Speaker 1: the CEO of SBI, one of the largest banking groups,
- 6:47Speaker 1: says every bank will use XRP by twenty twenty five.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So I imagine we're going to see more integration into
- 6:54Speaker 1: the Japanese markets. And of course this will open up
- 6:57Speaker 1: the opportunity here in the United States, if possible, be
- 7:00Speaker 1: seeing some more banks jumping into this as well. The
- 7:02Speaker 1: other thing that's happening right here this came in, which
- 7:05Speaker 1: is the CEO of Securitizes. You've heard us talk to
- 7:07Speaker 1: Carlos before, he's been on our show, and he discussedes,
- 7:10Speaker 1: ripple and XRP, explaining the token is is treasuries also
- 7:14Speaker 1: going to be transforming the financial landscape. There is so
- 7:16Speaker 1: much happening in this space right now from a finance
- 7:20Speaker 1: side of things. We are about to see I think
- 7:22Speaker 1: retail really start to move in quickly. He here will
- 7:25Speaker 1: be the banks. I've said it all along is that
- 7:27Speaker 1: banks are going to be a real critical component going forward.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Other things I want to hit on and that is
- 7:33Speaker 1: this headline right here. Forget FMC, bitcoin price now has
- 7:36Speaker 1: plenty of room to reach one hundred and eight K.
- 7:38Speaker 1: We saw the explosion yesterday of where bitcoin came from
- 7:42Speaker 1: prior to the FMC. Of course chairpal started to pump
- 7:45Speaker 1: the market right after that and kind of see the
- 7:47Speaker 1: move right there on the chart. But some cool things
- 7:49Speaker 1: that they say here is all of this has been
- 7:52Speaker 1: erasing that little bit of dip that we saw there
- 7:55Speaker 1: with the deep seek in early week and of course
- 7:58Speaker 1: a lot of people now saying, oh okay, now we're
- 8:00Speaker 1: good again. Banks are back in. I'm happy and I'm
- 8:03Speaker 1: willing to go back in and reinvest. The structure for
- 8:06Speaker 1: bitcoin looks pretty good. So there are some things here
- 8:09Speaker 1: lower highs that could be coming in, and I think
- 8:11Speaker 1: we're going to see some trading coming into bitcoin maybe
- 8:14Speaker 1: over the weekend. We'll see. Let me know what you
- 8:17Speaker 1: guys think is bitcoin in February, because February is typically
- 8:21Speaker 1: very bullish for bitcoin, which usually ends up being bullish
- 8:24Speaker 1: for all coins. But is bitcoin going to reach do
- 8:28Speaker 1: we get to that one fifteen one point eighteen range
- 8:31Speaker 1: that Evan and some of the analysts have been talking
- 8:34Speaker 1: about in February. Let me know down below in the comments.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I want to see what you guys think about that.
- 8:41Speaker 1: The other thing I want to get to is the
- 8:43Speaker 1: comeback for crypto in general. Now, you guys know Robin Hood,
- 8:47Speaker 1: they didn't have a great reputation on the last one,
- 8:49Speaker 1: neither a coin based. There was a lot of shenanigans
- 8:52Speaker 1: going on with you know, exchange is not being able
- 8:55Speaker 1: to operate when we were seeing these you know, parabolic moves.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Hopefully all that is behind us. Here is Robinhood's CEO
- 9:01Speaker 1: talking about it.
- 9:03Speaker 3: A big problem which is that if you're a retail
- 9:06Speaker 3: investor right now and you want to invest in AI,
- 9:09Speaker 3: and is very very clear that they do judging by
- 9:13Speaker 3: the market activity yesterday in the overnight on Sunday, you
- 9:17Speaker 3: don't have too many options open. AI is a private
- 9:20Speaker 3: company over one hundred and fifty billion valuation. It's only
- 9:24Speaker 3: available to select few insiders, and it's not like it
- 9:28Speaker 3: was in the eighties where companies could go public at
- 9:32Speaker 3: small valuations. The IPO process has gotten cumbersome. Only the
- 9:36Speaker 3: biggest companies can do it, and that limits opportunities and
- 9:43Speaker 3: upside to retail investors. And so I think that we're
- 9:48Speaker 3: in a bit of a strange place when highly speculative
- 9:51Speaker 3: assets are free for retail to invest in, but high quality,
- 9:55Speaker 3: productive technology startups that are generating significant revenue are off limits.
- 10:01Speaker 3: And I think that we now have an administration that's
- 10:05Speaker 3: crypto friendly and retail friendly, and we see an opportunity
- 10:08Speaker 3: to fix this major problem.
- 10:10Speaker 1: All right, So vlats hitting on two points here. Of course,
- 10:13Speaker 1: you got to remember that most of what Robinhood has
- 10:16Speaker 1: been built on has been the IPO scenario stocks what
- 10:21Speaker 1: the open market has been doing, and then they eventually
- 10:23Speaker 1: gained access to crypto, and we saw a big run
- 10:26Speaker 1: on crypto in terms of their growth. Doje I think
- 10:29Speaker 1: would be the one that made them. But the point
- 10:32Speaker 1: he's getting at is that the ability for small companies
- 10:35Speaker 1: to raise capital, because what he's referencing is a lot
- 10:38Speaker 1: of the tokens and projects that are out there that
- 10:40Speaker 1: are micro market really that are doing so well and
- 10:44Speaker 1: able for you and I to be able to go
- 10:46Speaker 1: and invest in those tokens on the open market, that
- 10:49Speaker 1: all of that could be changing now with a very
- 10:51Speaker 1: pro crypto administration, and if he is right that we
- 10:55Speaker 1: could see an absolute boom in business here in the States,
- 11:00Speaker 1: especially if we get blockchain involved in terms of raising
- 11:03Speaker 1: capital and if they start to eliminate I know it's
- 11:06Speaker 1: going to take a lot to get away from their
- 11:07Speaker 1: credit investor, but there's a lot of opportunity here for sure.
- 11:10Speaker 1: In other news, of course, you got to look at
- 11:12Speaker 1: the cryptopac fair Shake raises almost one hundred and sixteen
- 11:14Speaker 1: million for twenty twenty six midterms. It's going to be
- 11:16Speaker 1: a big fight in the midterms because this, of course
- 11:19Speaker 1: will keep somewhat of the administration in place that is
- 11:24Speaker 1: going to be very pro crypto, and I think players
- 11:27Speaker 1: are going to begin to understand just how much of
- 11:29Speaker 1: an impact crypto has and AI is having on the
- 11:32Speaker 1: market overall. A couple points within the article is coinbas Ripple,
- 11:37Speaker 1: and recent Horowitz all committed to more than twenty million
- 11:39Speaker 1: recent ten million from Jump Crypto UNISWAP is jumping in
- 11:43Speaker 1: as well, So there's a lot coming in. I imagine
- 11:47Speaker 1: that we will see much more, especially as we start
- 11:50Speaker 1: to see real integration coming into the market going forward.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Big news though, guys, XRP made news again and guess
- 11:58Speaker 1: how they did it well, right here breaking gray scale
- 12:00Speaker 1: files for a spot XRP ETF with the New York
- 12:04Speaker 1: Stock Exchange, so we could see some pretty cool stuff
- 12:06Speaker 1: happening quickly. I imagine this is going to pump XRP
- 12:10Speaker 1: as well as some other tokens that are going to
- 12:11Speaker 1: be moving into ETFs as well. I want to go
- 12:13Speaker 1: to a clip real quick, because this is one that
- 12:17Speaker 1: I think you have to address. Who's going to be
- 12:19Speaker 1: the winner and who's going to be the loser in
- 12:22Speaker 1: the crypto race, the arms race, because I think it
- 12:24Speaker 1: has a lot to do with AI. Here's a clip
- 12:27Speaker 1: coming out of the EU.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Take a look on this matter that you refer to
- 12:32Speaker 4: and whether reserves of Central Bank should or could include bitcoins.
- 12:39Speaker 4: I think there's a view around the table of the
- 12:42Speaker 4: Governing Council and most likely you should the General Council
- 12:45Speaker 4: as well, that reserves have to be liquid, that reserves
- 12:50Speaker 4: have to be secure, that they have to be safe,
- 12:53Speaker 4: that they should not be plugged by the suspicion of
- 12:56Speaker 4: money laundering or other criminal activities. And as a result,
- 13:01Speaker 4: I'm confident that reserves will not enter sorry that bitcoins
- 13:09Speaker 4: will not enter the reserves of any of the central
- 13:12Speaker 4: banks of the General Council. I had a good conversation
- 13:16Speaker 4: with my colleague from the Czech Republic, and I leave
- 13:19Speaker 4: it to him to make whatever announcement he wants to make,
- 13:21Speaker 4: but I'm confident that he's convinced, as we all are,
- 13:24Speaker 4: of the necessity to have liquid, secure and safe reserves.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 13:31Speaker 1: So a big flip there on Europe, and of course
- 13:35Speaker 1: it's being head out by the EU Central Bank, and
- 13:38Speaker 1: I think with Leguard what she's mentioning there is I
- 13:41Speaker 1: think there's been a little bit of run in with
- 13:44Speaker 1: what's happening in the West because it's being so embraced.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And I also think that it might be a scenario
- 13:50Speaker 1: where maybe they just aren't sure how to maybe implement this,
- 13:54Speaker 1: and there's a lot of freedom behind this that also
- 13:57Speaker 1: is an opportunity, I think for Europe which they are
- 14:00Speaker 1: now discovering through the MICA alignment of how crypto can
- 14:03Speaker 1: be regulated. So I think they're kind of backwalking.
- 14:06Speaker 3: A little bit.
- 14:07Speaker 1: It'll be interesting to see if they actually follow through
- 14:10Speaker 1: with this or if they panic and start to move
- 14:13Speaker 1: in quickly watch closely what they're doing over there, breaking
- 14:17Speaker 1: black Rock backed Securitize integrates now with Salona to expand
- 14:20Speaker 1: tokenized real world assets. That's another thing that's happening. As
- 14:24Speaker 1: we see more tokenized real world assets hit the grain ground,
- 14:27Speaker 1: I think we're going to see more and more central
- 14:29Speaker 1: banks start to take that step in the next direction.
- 14:32Speaker 1: One other point I want to hit on is a
- 14:34Speaker 1: continue kind of the direction down the road on ETFs
- 14:38Speaker 1: because Bitwise just filed for a spop dogecoin ETF. Now,
- 14:42Speaker 1: I know people would look at it's Paul, it's a
- 14:44Speaker 1: meme coin. Yeah, I'm not going to go there with
- 14:46Speaker 1: an ETF. I wouldn't put money in ETF like that.
- 14:49Speaker 1: We're going to try to talk to them about this.
- 14:50Speaker 1: We'll get bit Wise on an upcoming interview. But it
- 14:54Speaker 1: was an interesting response to this, and this came from
- 14:57Speaker 1: James Seyfert, who I would say is one of the
- 15:00Speaker 1: five ETF analysts in the world over at Bloomberg. Listen
- 15:04Speaker 1: to what he had to say. I mean, can we
- 15:07Speaker 1: expect really just a rubber stamp for all of them?
- 15:09Speaker 5: Were Well, there'd be some pushback about, hey, do we
- 15:12Speaker 5: really need a double levered bonk ETF.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Great call out.
- 15:17Speaker 5: That thing was filed yesterday. I mean, so what we're
- 15:19Speaker 5: seeing is a bunch of these issuers, particularly issuers that
- 15:22Speaker 5: kind of go after the more exotic space of the
- 15:24Speaker 5: ETP market, are pushing the limits to see what this
- 15:27Speaker 5: SEC is going to allow. And I think it's basically
- 15:30Speaker 5: going to be decided by hester person that cryptotask for
- 15:32Speaker 5: us about like what rules and regulations we're going to
- 15:35Speaker 5: have around assets that can be put in the ETP wrapper.
- 15:37Speaker 5: I don't think it's a guarantee these things are going
- 15:39Speaker 5: to get approved. I think it's likely that a lot
- 15:41Speaker 5: of things are going to get approved, but they're going
- 15:43Speaker 5: to draw the line somewhere. I don't know if that's
- 15:44Speaker 5: going to be a market cap or how these assets
- 15:46Speaker 5: come to market, or who knows exactly what they're going
- 15:48Speaker 5: to come up with. But I don't think it's going
- 15:50Speaker 5: to be a rubber stamp all these things just get
- 15:52Speaker 5: through automatically. And honestly, I think if that does happen,
- 15:54Speaker 5: it might not be a good thing. It might be
- 15:56Speaker 5: the pendulum, as you hinted, swinging completely too far to
- 15:59Speaker 5: the opposite direction.
- 16:01Speaker 1: All right, So a couple of points there, a little
- 16:03Speaker 1: bit of safety. I think in general, by the markets,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and you know, when it comes to what Seyfert is
- 16:10Speaker 1: talking about, and I would agree, I think there's going
- 16:12Speaker 1: to be a little bit of exotics out there, But
- 16:15Speaker 1: we see exotics now that are already out there on
- 16:17Speaker 1: the market in the ETF space, So there could be
- 16:19Speaker 1: some that will flow into this area because you're going
- 16:21Speaker 1: to have a lot younger investors that are starting to
- 16:25Speaker 1: look at these assets, these instruments, and that could open
- 16:28Speaker 1: up some opportunities here. So don't completely rule it out,
- 16:31Speaker 1: but I would say that it's probably a little bit
- 16:33Speaker 1: less likely to see how this goes. If you take
- 16:35Speaker 1: a look at the bitcoin chart yesterday, this was the
- 16:38Speaker 1: move right there. I'm on the four hours, so over
- 16:40Speaker 1: the last twenty four nice little move up from where
- 16:43Speaker 1: we were trading right around one oh one pre FOMC,
- 16:48Speaker 1: So some pretty big stuff there. So when you take
- 16:51Speaker 1: a look at Avalanche, you can see it right here
- 16:53Speaker 1: has a nice little recorrection sentiment not holding well, this
- 16:57Speaker 1: is on the four hour. But when you look at
- 16:59Speaker 1: something that's happening right now between Avalanche and Swie, and
- 17:03Speaker 1: I want to show you something here, take a look
- 17:05Speaker 1: at this. Let's go over to coin market gap, and
- 17:08Speaker 1: you see Avalanche sitting there at number twelve. Let me
- 17:10Speaker 1: kind of zoom in on that for you guys, number
- 17:12Speaker 1: twelve holding in about fourteen bill right, Look where Swie
- 17:15Speaker 1: is moved up quickly to twelve point four. They could
- 17:18Speaker 1: possibly flip Stellar and Avalanche. It's very early on what's
- 17:24Speaker 1: happening with this Phantom integration. Now here's the question is
- 17:27Speaker 1: why does Avalanche not maybe make the leap and do
- 17:31Speaker 1: the same thing in the strategy that Su has done
- 17:34Speaker 1: in flipping over Because Phantom is a very powerful That
- 17:37Speaker 1: tool set is a gateway to the ecosystem for Solana,
- 17:41Speaker 1: which I still think is the critical component in this
- 17:45Speaker 1: all coin run. So a lot happening in the market
- 17:48Speaker 1: for sure. Here's what I like you to like you
