- 0:28you'll see the URL. Check us out December 11th, 5:30
- 0:32PM Denver time. Hey, so it is 705 officially we
- 0:40said to seven, but we are going to keep going as long as there
- 0:43are people out here that want to be on the show.
- 0:45We're going to keep going until there are no more or until 7:45
- 0:48because that's when we're going to go to dinner.
- 0:50I'm kind of a hungry guy here, right.
- 0:52All right. Introduce yourself to the
- 0:54listeners here today. I'm Micah Clemens, not coach at
- 0:57Lean Person Manava. Yeah, we want to hear you.
- 1:00Yeah, yeah, We're doing airplane style, man.
- 1:01We get up, get up in here, man. Micah.
- 1:04So Micah, this is your second time here at the convention.
- 1:08You now you kind of know what to expect last year you kind of
- 1:11like, you know, eyes and the, you know what you're doing and
- 1:14what to expect. Now you know what to expect and
- 1:16everything. What are you most looking
- 1:18forward to here at the convention?
- 1:20This year, the biggest thing I'm looking forward to.
- 1:23This convention is more so making more connections solely
- 1:27because I do enjoy the symposiums and learning and
- 1:30refreshing especially the most of some Bell zones are technical
- 1:34base, some will be like personalities as well.
- 1:39How to drain it after eventually.
- 1:41But the connections part of and getting an input on another
- 1:44coach is probably the biggest thing for me because it's not
- 1:48just coming from one person as opposed to.
- 1:52It being just from a couple people, we have different
- 1:55perspectives when we make connections.
- 1:58So how do you, as a young person in this profession, What's your
- 2:03attack mode for networking? How's your style?
- 2:07These things may be myself because I mean you come across
- 2:12and try to be yes, you want to be professional to a but if
- 2:17you're yourself then you can really put yourself in that
- 2:19position to. Be seen in a way that others
- 2:23might not. It's nontraditional, but the
- 2:27good thing about it is that you put yourself out there.
- 2:29People already know what to expect.
- 2:31So that's not like Switch. They're like.
- 2:35You're one way here and you're different way over here, but who
- 2:37am I really getting? What's your style?
- 2:40Like if you see a coach out there that you want to talk to,
- 2:42you just go right up to him. Or do you wait till there's a
- 2:44crowd and kind of sneak yourself in there and start laughing like
- 2:46it's a joke? It's what's kind of your your go
- 2:48to there. I'll just walk up.
- 2:52I don't mind walking up and have a conversation or I specifically
- 2:55have a specific question that kind of sticks out of my mind,
- 2:57like, hey, I have a question for you.
- 2:59I'm kind of pose that question first or of course introduce my.
- 3:02Spot, you're like, hey, here's the question, don't worry about
- 3:05who I am. Exactly.
- 3:07It's just being personal. You want to be on a personal
- 3:09level. It's kind of like culture
- 3:10athletes. You want to be personal with
- 3:12athletes to an extent and you don't want to necessarily.
- 3:17Make them think or feel uncomfortable to where they
- 3:19can't come and you. Know be them.
- 3:22And you felt very comfortable last year coming right up to me
- 3:25and like we kind of started off the base.
- 3:26I was like not like I know this guy.
- 3:27Like you actually kind of bring me words like me too.
- 3:29I know this guy and it really was the first time we met.
- 3:31I promise. But you know you just had such
- 3:33that that kind of warming personality that it was just
- 3:36like oh man. I feel like I know this dude you
- 3:37know well let's see how well we do know you.
- 3:39I've got 100 random questions here numbered one through 100.
- 3:42The only part of the destiny you get to to do is you get to pick
- 3:45the number. OK.
- 3:47I mean numbers. I went through 100.
- 3:50OK. Let's do. 66.
- 3:54Oh, why 66? High school football.
- 3:58That was my high school football number.
- 4:00Yeah. I bet it's a good one, because I
- 4:03bet it was. Yeah, let's talk sports.
- 4:06What's your favorite sport outside of track and field?
- 4:10I would say lately volleyball is growing on me.
- 4:14Yeah. Is that right?
- 4:16Volleyball, men's volleyball we had, I went to a division two
- 4:19school of North Carolina, Park College and to be there four
- 4:23years we had men's volleyball. And so going to those events
- 4:29were unbelievable. We had nice programs.
- 4:32They competed very well against Division One program because you
- 4:35know Division One against division two, not a lot of
- 4:38division two programs out there. Right.
- 4:40Not a lot of men's programs in general.
- 4:42Yeah, yeah. So being that energy and seeing,
- 4:44it is just. It's a cool sport.
- 4:48I became friends where I went to school at Troy University with
- 4:51the women's team there and just learned how to play.
- 4:54You know, not play, but you know the ins and outs of the sport.
- 4:57It's it's a really, it's a really cool sport.
- 4:59Well, Michael, wrap us up here today.
- 5:00What are you looking forward to the most in the 2023 track
- 5:04season? I am looking forward to growing
- 5:12our family one growing the Falcon family.
- 5:15And big thing is bringing in Lords generating exciting
- 5:20throwers that we're going to be a part of our winning culture.
- 5:23So I'm looking forward to a big season from the throwers I do
- 5:26have now shout out to all my my Valafacos out there.
- 5:29You know Martin Bulldogs 2 shot of the all.
- 5:33Looking forward to the big season.
- 5:35It's been a great fall for us and I'm just looking forward to
- 5:38see how to do, you know. What I'm looking forward to the
- 5:41most. You told me to send you my
- 5:44address, which I did on Twitter, and I'm looking forward to my
- 5:46shirt. You.
- 5:47Know I got you. Hey man, thank you so much for
- 5:50being the podcast. We end everyone with a selfie.
- 5:51You don't get out that easy, man.
- 5:54Awesome brother man. You're going to do great.
- 5:55I'm looking forward to seeing your season.
- 5:57This year. Thanks, man.
- 5:59Yeah, Micah again, just what a great person, man.
- 6:02Just really made me feel like I knew him forever last year and
