  - is deeply intimate because it brings us closer

  - that the god and the master of the

  - intimate,

  - and yet everything he does is

  - not only intimate

  - but intentional.

  - God never intended prayer to feel distant

  - or transactional,

  - but rather he invites us into

  - relationship,

  - honest, consistent,

  - daily connections with him.

  - Intimacy with God is built in ordinary moments,

  - like a whispered prayer while driving.

  - Sometimes a screaming prayer if you're in rush

  - hour traffic. Right?

  - Or maybe honest conversations

  - in difficult seasons.

  - Gratitude in the middle of busy days,

  - or even returning to him again and again

  - throughout the day.

  - The closer we draw to God, the more

  - we begin to recognize his heart,

  - his character,

  - and his leading.

  - Intimacy

  - creates familiarity,

  - and familiarity

  - strengthens

  - trust.

  - But prayer is not just asking God for

  - It's learning to live close to him,

  - wanting more of him.

  - That being said,

  - let's pray.

  - Father god,

  - draw us closer to you through

  - daily prayer.

  - Teach us to know your heart

  - and trust your voice.

  - Your word tells us

  - your children

  - hear your voice and a stranger they will

  - not listen to.

  - Let intimacy with you become the foundation

  - of our daily life

  - and keep us near to your presence.
