- 0:13Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 0:14Speaker 2: I'm doing fine. How are you doing, Mark?
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm good. I'm good. What do you want to say, Roberto?
- 0:19Speaker 3: Much of all, we got a great president. As much
- 0:23Speaker 3: as all, he's going to stop Israel from getting... tortured
- 0:28Speaker 3: in a way in the near future and forever possibly
- 0:32Speaker 3: as much as I'm not sure if Pakistan's going to
- 0:34Speaker 3: get involved in this war and then China's going to
- 0:37Speaker 3: come in and try to get involved also.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Very good, Roberto. You conflated like 11 things, but you
- 0:43Speaker 1: sound like a great guy. Thanks for calling. Let's go
- 0:45Speaker 1: to John in Norwalk, Connecticut. John, how are you doing?
- 0:50Speaker 2: I'm good, Mark.
- 0:51Speaker 1: How are you? I'm very good.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Good. You were talking before about apple picking and going
- 0:58Speaker 2: to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Well, you're in Norwalk. You've got the best apple picking
- 1:03Speaker 1: in Norwalk. Just go to Stu Leonard's. It's got a
- 1:06Speaker 1: million apples in there.
- 1:08Speaker 2: That would be fine, and I'd rush with the crowds
- 1:11Speaker 2: and all that stuff. But you know what? Every year
- 1:13Speaker 2: we make a trip out to Blue Jay Orchards up
- 1:16Speaker 2: in Bethel, Connecticut.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Stop it. And, you know, I go there. With my best,
- 1:24Speaker 2: my girlfriend, and my two children and my grandchildren, we
- 1:29Speaker 2: make a day of it. And it's just a great
- 1:31Speaker 2: thing to get out there in the fresh air and
- 1:32Speaker 2: the sunshine and sometimes the rain and then make ourselves
- 1:37Speaker 2: sick eating their cinnamon donuts.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Bethel's like an hour away from you.
- 1:43Speaker 2: No, it's about, yeah, it's about maybe a half hour,
- 1:45Speaker 2: 45 minutes.
- 1:46Speaker 1: No, please. You'd have to go 95 miles an hour
- 1:48Speaker 1: the whole way on those little roads. It's an hour
- 1:51Speaker 1: away from you. Now, listen, I want you to take
- 1:54Speaker 1: a five-minute drive, go to Stu Leonard's. He's got a
- 1:57Speaker 1: million different apples there. They got sunshine. You've been there, right?
- 2:02Speaker 1: Out in the parking lot, they got clowns.
- 2:04Speaker 2: They got a circus, they got rides. Yeah, I was
- 2:06Speaker 2: there yesterday.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Okay. When did you just get your apples there?
- 2:11Speaker 2: You are such a lazy person.
- 2:12Speaker 1: No, I'm not a lazy person. Norwalk, you got, first
- 2:17Speaker 1: of all, to get to Bethel, You've got to drive
- 2:19Speaker 1: by Stu Leonard's. Then you've got to drive by a
- 2:21Speaker 1: Wegmans where they've got a million apples. You've got to
- 2:23Speaker 1: drive through Westport by Balducci's. They've got 5,000 kinds of
- 2:26Speaker 1: apples there.
- 2:27Speaker 2: You go north of Westport, and it's a beautiful drive.
- 2:31Speaker 2: You pass by the Saugatuck Reservoir. It's a fantastic ride.
- 2:36Speaker 2: It's beautiful. It's country. It's New England. It's a great
- 2:40Speaker 2: day to go out there and pick the apples with
- 2:43Speaker 2: your friends and whatever.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Forget the apples. Are there any other days you go
- 2:47Speaker 1: to Bethel? No. Forget the apples. I do.
- 2:55Speaker 2: It's so beautiful. I actually go through Bethel when I
- 2:59Speaker 2: go to see my children up in New Milford.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Exactly. You're in Bethel, and you've got to speed right through.
- 3:03Speaker 1: You don't even stop. Bethel's very nice, but forget the apples.
- 3:06Speaker 2: You're impossible sometimes, Mark.
- 3:08Speaker 1: No, I'm not. Well, thanks for calling, John. Good call.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I'm just saying. I'm not saying don't go to Bethel.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Don't go to Ridgefield, New Canaan. It's beautiful. But forget
- 3:18Speaker 1: the apples. Get the apples at a supermarket and then
- 3:21Speaker 1: just drive up there. You don't have to go pick apples.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Just go to Bethel. There's a million other things to do.
- 3:26Speaker 1: It's right next to Danbury. There's a million things to
- 3:29Speaker 1: do in Danbury. There's millions of things to do in this.
- 3:31Speaker 1: But you don't have to pick apples. What are you,
- 3:34Speaker 1: a sharecropper? You don't have to go pick apples. Let's
- 3:36Speaker 1: go to Tom in Queens. Tom, how are you doing?
- 3:40Speaker 3: Hi, Mark.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 3:41Speaker 3: I've got two questions for you.
- 3:43Speaker 2: First thing... How would you compare AORUS AI Hopla with Y2K?
- 3:50Speaker 2: And the second question is, how would it affect Apple
- 3:52Speaker 2: iPhones in the future?
- 3:54Speaker 1: Very good question. Excellent question. Yes, you remember in 1999,
- 3:57Speaker 1: there was a thing called Y2K because it was going
- 4:01Speaker 1: to be the year 2000. It was going to be
- 4:03Speaker 1: a new century. I can't remember exactly why, but they
- 4:07Speaker 1: had convinced everybody. that because the year was going to
- 4:12Speaker 1: go to zeros, that it was going to confuse every
- 4:15Speaker 1: digital thing, every computer. Remember, you think I'm kidding. They
- 4:19Speaker 1: were convinced that planes would drop out of the sky,
- 4:22Speaker 1: that the whole electric grid would shut down, all this
- 4:25Speaker 1: kind of stuff, Y2K. And it was hysteria for about
- 4:29Speaker 1: a year or two or three. I used to be
- 4:31Speaker 1: on the air saying, don't worry, nothing's going to happen.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I used to get all kinds of people yelling and screaming.
- 4:35Speaker 1: How could you say that? It's going to be the worst. Y2K,
- 4:39Speaker 1: this happens all the time. As we always point out,
- 4:41Speaker 1: this happened when electricity was invented. Everybody was hysteria. They
- 4:47Speaker 1: thought it would kill us all. Electricity would be the
- 4:49Speaker 1: most dangerous thing to humanity. And that's what caused the
- 4:53Speaker 1: woman Mary Shelley to write the book Frankenstein about how
- 4:57Speaker 1: electricity would create monsters that would kill us. So calm down,
- 5:02Speaker 1: calm down. There may be some problems with AI, but
- 5:04Speaker 1: you will be fine. Hey, when we come back, Howie
- 5:07Speaker 1: Carr will be with us next. Lots to talk to
- 5:10Speaker 1: him about. On 710WOR.
