- 0:00Speaker 1: Buleg Cam podcast Special guests were live in New York City.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Oh gosh, what's up. Welcome sir, Thank you for having
- 0:06Speaker 1: men of course, man, of course, I've been a big
- 0:09Speaker 1: fan of you for a long time. Thank you so much.
- 0:11Speaker 1: It's always crazy when someone I'm a fan of tells
- 0:14Speaker 1: me they've watched my stuff. I'm like, that's creak. Get
- 0:16Speaker 1: out it you're doing. Yeah, dude, you're special. Which came
- 0:19Speaker 1: out what it was like four or five months ago now, yeah,
- 0:21Speaker 1: it came out February of twenty twelve. Crazy special. Thank
- 0:25Speaker 1: you so much. Man. I remember like first kind of
- 0:28Speaker 1: diving into like Flagrant when it was the original crew
- 0:34Speaker 1: and it was like kind of like a weird sports podcast,
- 0:38Speaker 1: but it evolved into something else like soup yeah, very fast. Yeah.
- 0:42Speaker 1: But for people who don't know, like what were the
- 0:44Speaker 1: original like, because obviously Andrew went from like guy Code
- 0:48Speaker 1: to Brilliant Idiots and then launching Flagrant, what was kind
- 0:52Speaker 1: of like the original crew? Like what was the original
- 0:55Speaker 1: I guess theme of the show because now it's it's
- 0:58Speaker 1: it's it's its own thing. It's way different than it was. Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:01Speaker 1: going super far back when Andrews started brilliant idiots. I
- 1:04Speaker 1: said to him out loud, this is the only time
- 1:07Speaker 1: I've ever been jealous of you, right, is when you're
- 1:10Speaker 1: When he was doing the podcast with Charlemagne, and it
- 1:12Speaker 1: wasn't like real jealousy, but like really, what I was
- 1:15Speaker 1: thinking in my brain was I had nothing. I wasn't
- 1:17Speaker 1: on Guy Cut, it wasn't on TV, so we had
- 1:19Speaker 1: to take that opportunity. Charlemagne is amazing and huge, so like,
- 1:21Speaker 1: you gotta do that. But in my mind I was like,
- 1:23Speaker 1: if we did a podcast, I think that shit would
- 1:25Speaker 1: go right, so but I obviously go crush it. Brilliantties
- 1:28Speaker 1: did great, and then when Andrews started talking about do
- 1:31Speaker 1: us doing a podcast a few years later, I think
- 1:33Speaker 1: he felt like he wanted to start another thing. Also,
- 1:36Speaker 1: I was obviously down and we had been kind of
- 1:39Speaker 1: like brainstorming, and uh, we did a brilliantated this episode
- 1:42Speaker 1: with Kaz. We thought Cas was great, so we brought
- 1:44Speaker 1: him on board. And then the idea of doing sports,
- 1:47Speaker 1: which I love sports. I could talk sports, so you gotta. Yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 1: you always are throwing your little tidbits in about sports
- 1:51Speaker 1: that make me be like, oh, he's a real sports yeah, yeah, yeah, Yeah,
- 1:54Speaker 1: and Andrew liked sports, but he also understood something that
- 1:57Speaker 1: we had talked about, which is like, yo, we can
- 2:00Speaker 1: only dip into these crazy things we say, like when
- 2:02Speaker 1: we're hanging out, just saying wild jokes about whatever. But
- 2:05Speaker 1: an easy entryport is sports because sports fans tend to
- 2:09Speaker 1: not get super triggered about anything. They're not it's nuts, political,
- 2:13Speaker 1: it's just sports. So the idea was always too evolve
- 2:16Speaker 1: it into something else. And then Alex got more and
- 2:19Speaker 1: more involved, and that was amazing. He was so funny
- 2:20Speaker 1: and like we would encourage him when he would chime in,
- 2:23Speaker 1: we'd be like, dude, you're funny, chime in. And then
- 2:25Speaker 1: Mark Andrew started working with Mark. And Mark is a
- 2:28Speaker 1: brilliant kid, super funny, super talented. He's a star. And
- 2:31Speaker 1: I didn't know him that well. And he's doing stand
- 2:32Speaker 1: up there he does. Yeah, he well, he started as
- 2:34Speaker 1: a stand up He's been been doing stand up for
- 2:37Speaker 1: years and that's how him Andrew connected. He opened for
- 2:39Speaker 1: Andrew and then Andrew brought him on board. He was like,
- 2:43Speaker 1: he's a smart kid. He has like good ideas for
- 2:45Speaker 1: merch and all this stuff. A lot of the set
- 2:47Speaker 1: design of the new set was Mark Set's crazy. Yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 1: he does so much of our YouTube stuff. He's a
- 2:51Speaker 1: fucking brilliant kid. And so when Andrew was like, I
- 2:54Speaker 1: want to start bringing Mark on the pot, I was like, yeah,
- 2:56Speaker 1: I don't know him super well, but bring him on.
- 2:58Speaker 1: And then I got to know him. He's a great kid.
- 2:59Speaker 1: And it has evolved into flagrant and then when we
- 3:02Speaker 1: built a new studio, we wanted to try to find
- 3:04Speaker 1: a place for them as well on camera because they
- 3:07Speaker 1: contribute so much off camera. Yeah, for sure, it's just
- 3:09Speaker 1: evolved into this like four guy hang. It is definitely
- 3:12Speaker 1: a hang, and I love it because it is like
- 3:15Speaker 1: the most saying the crazy shitne I always yeah, when
- 3:20Speaker 1: the podcast is on and my wife's in the car,
- 3:22Speaker 1: she's always like, what the fuck are you listening? She's like,
- 3:27Speaker 1: what's wrong with it? My wife doesn't listen. There's episodes
- 3:31Speaker 1: that I'm like, hey, I think you'll like this one. Yeah,
- 3:34Speaker 1: listen to this one, this one because you might divorce me. Yeah. Yeah,
- 3:37Speaker 1: She's just like all right, fine, No, it's great because
- 3:40Speaker 1: it's like today's uh you know, obviously climate. It's just
- 3:43Speaker 1: nice to have a place where like there's just zero fuckski. Yeah, well,
- 3:48Speaker 1: I think Andrew probably knew this on some level, and
- 3:50Speaker 1: I maybe did, but I won't even give myself that
- 3:52Speaker 1: much credit. If you think about like when somebody when
- 3:56Speaker 1: there's always this like there's always too much, like there's
- 3:59Speaker 1: an over correctness for anything. Of course, there's always a
- 4:01Speaker 1: little voice that's dissenting. I'm like, you don't need all this.
- 4:04Speaker 1: So everybody's getting so picy and so piecey. I think
- 4:07Speaker 1: we were the first, one of the first at least
- 4:09Speaker 1: to be like, yo, fuck all that, let's just have fun.
- 4:11Speaker 1: And if the intention is to be funny and not
- 4:13Speaker 1: to hurt feelings, great, Andrew I said, judge me by
- 4:16Speaker 1: my intentions, and I've always agreed with that, Like that's
- 4:18Speaker 1: a comedy, right, Yeah, that's comedy. We're trying to be funny.
- 4:21Speaker 1: If I'm trying to hurt your feelings in a hateful way,
- 4:24Speaker 1: then fuck me. But if we're just trying to be
- 4:27Speaker 1: funny and I'm making it all funny, then great. Has
- 4:29Speaker 1: ever been an episode or like a moment where you
- 4:33Speaker 1: were a little nervous about whether the Cancel Culture people
- 4:38Speaker 1: were coming for y'all or not Cancel Culture, or just
- 4:41Speaker 1: like you know cause I feel like, obviously you come
- 4:43Speaker 1: from a traditional Indian background, you know what I mean.
- 4:45Speaker 1: But there you guys be saying some shit on there. Man,
- 4:47Speaker 1: you know what, I just in my mind, I'm like,
- 4:49Speaker 1: my parents don't know how to use the Internet. I
- 4:51Speaker 1: don't know why, but I like it. It's so stupid.
- 4:54Speaker 1: But I'm like, my mom is sixty seven, she's not
- 4:56Speaker 1: using she's not diving into the forty seven minute mark. Yeah. Yeah,
- 5:00Speaker 1: it don't matter. So I don't ever consider it. And
- 5:03Speaker 1: I've told them from the moment I started stand up.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I was like, don't watch, don't watch. Just it. Just
- 5:09Speaker 1: if I'm making money, be happy for me, but please
- 5:11Speaker 1: don't watch because I can't live with that because I
- 5:14Speaker 1: do think about that a lot, even like the roasts,
- 5:16Speaker 1: like the roast that Andrew Will do so like he
- 5:18Speaker 1: just did the Kanye one. But man, some of those
- 5:21Speaker 1: roast lines are fucking oh good. Yeah, the Will Smith one,
- 5:26Speaker 1: Oh it was so good. Oh yeah. And I felt
- 5:29Speaker 1: like we, I think we both felt personally like yo,
- 5:32Speaker 1: fuck this guy. Yeah yeah, and then every he just
- 5:35Speaker 1: those roast lines were crazy. I didn't I'm not going
- 5:37Speaker 1: to take credit for writing those jokes. That was him
- 5:39Speaker 1: and well what like, fuck dude, those are great jokes. Yeah.
- 5:42Speaker 1: The Will Smith thing was something where it was like
- 5:45Speaker 1: it was kind of dope to see like just all
- 5:47Speaker 1: the comedians just kind of gang up on what on somebody? Yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 1: and it was like it was done in a way
- 5:53Speaker 1: that was like so like the jokes that came from
- 5:56Speaker 1: were like maybe it was worth Chris Rock taking this
- 5:58Speaker 1: lap comedy We got out of it like he had
- 6:02Speaker 1: to sacrifice his his his dignity for a night and
- 6:06Speaker 1: uh and and we got some great comedic moments from it.
- 6:09Speaker 1: You know, I really think Will Smith is like he
- 6:11Speaker 1: opened the floodgates for all of the attacks. Oh for sure,
- 6:15Speaker 1: what's his name? Salmon and Rusty getting some resty getting
- 6:18Speaker 1: stabbed on stage. That shit's crazy. I think it's this
- 6:21Speaker 1: just the girl getting the beer thrown at her. It's
- 6:23Speaker 1: all open. Now. You think that kind of like had
- 6:25Speaker 1: a little bit to do with like having people get
- 6:27Speaker 1: a little you know obviously uh, embolden to do some
- 6:30Speaker 1: shit like that. You know, this is a crazy, crazy
- 6:32Speaker 1: comparison and how Columbine there weren't really school shootings and
- 6:36Speaker 1: then after Columbine people were like, yo, that's a possibility.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Like like deranged people were like, oh, that's what I got.
- 6:42Speaker 1: That was like the first one. Yeah, well in a
- 6:44Speaker 1: much less significant and all. I'm not saying the significance
- 6:48Speaker 1: is the same, but like on a smaller, much smaller level,
- 6:50Speaker 1: people are comedy shows and their brain is just opening
- 6:52Speaker 1: the possibility. Deranged people are like, I could fuck this
- 6:54Speaker 1: guy up, and I'm a fuck up guy. Like, I'm
- 6:57Speaker 1: a very fuckppable person. So I've always I kind of
- 7:00Speaker 1: had an awareness of that, and like, I never wanted
- 7:03Speaker 1: to cross a line. I also don't want to be
- 7:05Speaker 1: so disrespectful that you should beat me up, but you
- 7:08Speaker 1: won't because I'm small and I'm that Like, I try
- 7:10Speaker 1: to play with the line and I'll say it shows like, hey,
- 7:12Speaker 1: if you're genuinely if you feel like I crossed the line,
- 7:15Speaker 1: if you just don't want me to talk to, just
- 7:16Speaker 1: give me something like this and then we'll move on.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Oh like like if you do the crowd work thing,
- 7:20Speaker 1: yeah yeah, but now I'm like I do it earlier.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I'm like, I need to make sure y'all are aware
- 7:24Speaker 1: of this, and then if you give me this, we're
- 7:25Speaker 1: not going to try to do this yeah, Columbine is
- 7:28Speaker 1: kind of like the Sugar Hill Gang of school shooting
- 7:31Speaker 1: for sure. Right, It's like just I said, a hip
- 7:36Speaker 1: hop the first hit, the first hit, the first hip
- 7:38Speaker 1: hop hit, right, it was it was like it was
- 7:42Speaker 1: like the message from grand Master Flash. Good Mine is
- 7:45Speaker 1: a it's a classic through the ages. It's the back
- 7:50Speaker 1: that ass up. But you know it really is. It's
- 7:53Speaker 1: like weird too because now, like my I think it
- 7:56Speaker 1: was one of my nieces was showing me like on TikTok,
- 7:58Speaker 1: there's like a whole like underbelly of girls who are like,
- 8:02Speaker 1: uh that worship like the shooters, like what I remember
- 8:06Speaker 1: the names of the kids from Columbine, but like there's
- 8:09Speaker 1: like a full like fan girl club of like nineteen
- 8:12Speaker 1: year old girls who like, you know, fucking play with
- 8:14Speaker 1: themselves while looking at pictures of these dudes or whatever.
- 8:17Speaker 1: It's pretty wild. But you know what, Andrew has a
- 8:19Speaker 1: joke about this. Every school shooter says the same thing,
- 8:22Speaker 1: nobody want to have sex with me. All these inseels
- 8:24Speaker 1: are the ones that so these girls could be a
- 8:25Speaker 1: very valuable asset. You just got to start sucking the guys.
- 8:28Speaker 1: You just gotta start fucking the guys who listen to
- 8:30Speaker 1: ICP and you know, fucking go on for shower, suck
- 8:34Speaker 1: a couple of dicks. Somebody should do the like the
- 8:36Speaker 1: four chan grinder, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah, sixty nine
- 8:43Speaker 1: sixty let's do it. Oh man, So for you like
- 8:48Speaker 1: talk about just like obviously your come up as a comedian.
- 8:52Speaker 1: You were telling me earlier that you started doing comedy
- 8:54Speaker 1: on Cali. I started in La in like oh seven, Okay,
- 8:58Speaker 1: so that's damn oh seven, about fifteen years deep. Now.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I did a couple of times in college, but then
- 9:03Speaker 1: I really started when I was in seven. I moved
- 9:05Speaker 1: to La on a whim. Just really were that or
- 9:09Speaker 1: just yea before that? And I didn't know you were
- 9:10Speaker 1: supposed to move to New York. But my best friend
- 9:12Speaker 1: was going there to be a cinematographer. My other best
- 9:15Speaker 1: friend from college. We convinced him to go because he
- 9:17Speaker 1: was going to go there in a year to be
- 9:19Speaker 1: an actor and a musician. So I was like, yo,
- 9:21Speaker 1: let's just all go. And then I got my mom's blessing,
- 9:24Speaker 1: which was a man everything. I wouldn't have gone without that.
- 9:27Speaker 1: But yeah, I started in seven, and like man, it
- 9:30Speaker 1: was rough. But then everybody told me a year and
- 9:32Speaker 1: a half I was actually doing fairly well in LA
- 9:34Speaker 1: open mics, and I think they looked at me not
- 9:37Speaker 1: like this kid is a star, but they looked at
- 9:38Speaker 1: me like, this is a kid that's going to be
- 9:40Speaker 1: really funny one day, right. But the vets would tell me, specifically,
- 9:44Speaker 1: the black bets would tell me, you're in the wrong
- 9:46Speaker 1: place to get funny. You go to New York to
- 9:47Speaker 1: get funny, and then you come to LA to get famous.
- 9:51Speaker 1: And I knew I wanted to be funny more than
- 9:53Speaker 1: I wanted to be famous, as great as famous would be.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I was like, I need funny. I can't live if
- 9:58Speaker 1: I'm not good at comedy. I can't with myself. I'm
- 10:00Speaker 1: famous and shitty a comedy. So I moved to New
- 10:02Speaker 1: York and then that was That was rough, but it
- 10:05Speaker 1: was very worth it. But it was rough. So originally,
- 10:08Speaker 1: before you moved to Cali, where are you originally from Dallas?
- 10:10Speaker 1: Oh you're from Dallas origin in Southwest I used to, uh, well,
- 10:13Speaker 1: I had a girl I was fucking with. It was
- 10:16Speaker 1: a twin Peaks waitress in plant in Plano text Peaks.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Oh my god, I didn't know you fucked white girls like, no,
- 10:25Speaker 1: definitely not. Why really peaks lovely lovely, light skinned young
- 10:29Speaker 1: sister in Plano, Texas about six years ago, shutting twin Peaks, Plano, Texas.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe that's odd. That's the only time
- 10:37Speaker 1: I only went to I went to Dallas one time
- 10:39Speaker 1: for WrestleMania in like twenty fifteen. Okay, we had a
- 10:42Speaker 1: hotel in Plano. I went to a strip club that
- 10:45Speaker 1: was called Onyx. Maybe I don't know, but yeah, it
- 10:48Speaker 1: was like a BYO B strip club, which they don't have.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I think that's just in Texas. I've been to one
- 10:53Speaker 1: a couple bring your own bottles. I had been in
- 10:55Speaker 1: one strip club by the time I was like twenty
- 10:57Speaker 1: seven or something. And then I got a free lap
- 10:59Speaker 1: dance because I was so uncomfortable that the girl thought
- 11:01Speaker 1: it was hilarious to just give me a lap dance. Yeah,
- 11:04Speaker 1: the whole the strip club dynamic is interesting. It's a
- 11:08Speaker 1: terrible place. It's there's no cemetery on earth as dead
- 11:11Speaker 1: as a stripper's eyes, and they just sit on your
- 11:14Speaker 1: lap and just just like assume that that's what you want,
- 11:18Speaker 1: and then when you say I'm good, they get up
- 11:20Speaker 1: and it's like they're offended. It goes from nice to
- 11:22Speaker 1: attitude so fast. It's like I'm here for chicken wings, yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 1: or you know, I'm here because my friend wants to
- 11:28Speaker 1: get the leg to talk to him. I'm just hanging
- 11:29Speaker 1: out one hundred bachelor party ninety five percent of the time,
- 11:32Speaker 1: So what are we doing? You know? The saddest thing
- 11:34Speaker 1: I remember watching the guys like put the dollar bills
- 11:36Speaker 1: like on the ground or whatever. It wasn't even as
- 11:38Speaker 1: sad as at the end of the song watching them
- 11:40Speaker 1: scurry the strippers to pick up like eight dollars. I
- 11:43Speaker 1: was like, yo, this is sad. Though. That is the
- 11:45Speaker 1: most demeaning part of the strip club experience is at
- 11:49Speaker 1: the end of the girl's stage, she has to bend
- 11:51Speaker 1: down and I would rather if I'm a woman, I
- 11:54Speaker 1: think i'd rather you put it in my fucking g
- 11:56Speaker 1: string ass crack. Then I got a scurry like a mouse,
- 11:59Speaker 1: like especially if they make it rain, Like there's a
- 12:01Speaker 1: there's a club in La called Sam's. It's like the
- 12:04Speaker 1: middle stage is just full of like ten girls, and
- 12:08Speaker 1: if I make it rain on one girl, every girl
- 12:11Speaker 1: on stage has a right to any of the money
- 12:12Speaker 1: that touches the stage. So when people make it rain,
- 12:15Speaker 1: it's like throwing fucking pigeon food at the park. It's
- 12:19Speaker 1: fucking crazy. It's like it's like it's like the funnest
- 12:21Speaker 1: strip club to go to if you really want to
- 12:23Speaker 1: just be a piece of shit and watch chicks hit
- 12:25Speaker 1: the floor and like dive for money. You're like, let
- 12:26Speaker 1: me get a hundred once and call some fucking chaoste degenerate.
- 12:30Speaker 1: That would be fun. Yeah, you know, it's not bad.
- 12:32Speaker 1: So being from Dallas, you're like a Cowboys guy. Yeah, yeah,
- 12:35Speaker 1: I wish I wasn't, but I have to Mavericks. Yeah,
- 12:37Speaker 1: of course, I mean Luca, you know, Luca's that's fun
- 12:39Speaker 1: to root for the Cowboys twenty eight years of just
- 12:41Speaker 1: tell Yeah, yeah, dude, it's so funny to watch because
- 12:47Speaker 1: I still listen to a sports radio station in Dallas
- 12:49Speaker 1: till this day. I mean, I'm from Phoenix, so that's
- 12:51Speaker 1: what I do. I listened to my local station on
- 12:53Speaker 1: tune in and then yeah, that's yeah, all I care
- 12:55Speaker 1: about is Arizona sports. I don't give a fuck about
- 12:57Speaker 1: Lakers or I'm sure you don't care about the Yankees
- 12:59Speaker 1: or anything. Now we don't. The NIXT being bad is
- 13:01Speaker 1: funny to me, Like I would. I would like to
- 13:04Speaker 1: be here when they're good because you, Yeah, when Lin
- 13:08Speaker 1: Sandy happened, you could feel it right right, right, right
- 13:10Speaker 1: right energy. I don't normally feel it, but when the
- 13:12Speaker 1: sanity was happening, you could feel the whole city buzzing. Yeah.
- 13:15Speaker 1: So the Knicks were good good, which they might be, Uh,
- 13:18Speaker 1: that'd be fun. But generally speaking, I think it's funny
- 13:20Speaker 1: to watch the Knicks fan suffer. So you were here
- 13:21Speaker 1: during the insanity moment? Yeah, yeah, yeah, And that was
- 13:24Speaker 1: as close to his Indian basketball players we've ever had,
- 13:26Speaker 1: so right, Yeah, that's my guy. You guys have never
- 13:30Speaker 1: had an NBA player ever. No, well, we had Nam Singh,
- 13:34Speaker 1: who's in the D League, right, the guys pin Jubbie
- 13:36Speaker 1: dude like seven three where he speaks English. But you
- 13:39Speaker 1: guys do have the what's the name of the wrestler,
- 13:42Speaker 1: the great, the Great Colleade he's he's we also have
- 13:46Speaker 1: Oh my god, I can't believe this guy's I don't
- 13:47Speaker 1: remember this guy's name. He follows me on Twitter. I
- 13:49Speaker 1: hung out with him. What is his name? Gender gender Mahal. Yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 1: I'm a big wrestling guy. God, dude, you know my
- 13:55Speaker 1: bad with him in Tampa before nice guys, dude, super
- 13:59Speaker 1: guy definitely on steroids. He tells me he's not, but
- 14:02Speaker 1: I'm like, he is. It's okay. Yeah, he went from
- 14:06Speaker 1: being like kind of a chubby, bigger dude. He got
- 14:09Speaker 1: fired and then he bounced back and he was fucking
- 14:12Speaker 1: shredded like a manie. I'm like, yo, this guy's six
- 14:15Speaker 1: months the craziest turnaround them steroids was serious. His shoulders
- 14:19Speaker 1: are nuts. Yeah, I'm wondering, man, because you're one of
- 14:22Speaker 1: the you know, obviously you were lucky enough to be
- 14:23Speaker 1: able to go on Jo's Joe Rogan's podcast. Yeah, you
- 14:26Speaker 1: always hear that like he's the king maker. Yeah right,
- 14:29Speaker 1: did you notice? I mean, obviously, you guys have a
- 14:31Speaker 1: crazy phone. You guys got one of the biggest patreons.
- 14:33Speaker 1: You guys have your own universe. You're in, you're already
- 14:36Speaker 1: selling out dates. Your special was doing well. But did
- 14:38Speaker 1: you notice the like uptick in everything? Yes, after going
- 14:42Speaker 1: on the show. So my views, it was cool. It
- 14:45Speaker 1: was like trending on YouTube the first couple of days
- 14:48Speaker 1: and it was like then it hit like three hundred
- 14:50Speaker 1: thousand and like whatever two days and then you could
- 14:53Speaker 1: see a level off pik into the views on YouTube.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And then the second the Rogan dropped, it doubled. It
- 14:58Speaker 1: hit another three hundred thousand in the next days, and
- 15:00Speaker 1: that's completely It would have done this, but with Rogan,
- 15:03Speaker 1: it did this, and it was like it might even
- 15:06Speaker 1: be more than like two and a half x or
- 15:08Speaker 1: whatever you see, and he's the fucking greatest. The experience
- 15:12Speaker 1: is intense because like we're chilling, we're hanging out, rear
- 15:15Speaker 1: leaning back. You know how how many people are listening
- 15:18Speaker 1: to Rogan and he's gonna give you every ounce of
- 15:20Speaker 1: attention possible. So if I don't return that, I'm a
- 15:24Speaker 1: giant dickhead. You know, he's locked in. He's locked the
- 15:27Speaker 1: fuck in here. And for that guy worth that much,
- 15:29Speaker 1: with that much power to be locked in for two
- 15:32Speaker 1: hours with you or however I don't return it, who
- 15:34Speaker 1: the fuck am I? So I was like you know
- 15:37Speaker 1: what I mean, like, yeah, I went there during uh,
- 15:40Speaker 1: like COVID, I went there with Freddy Gibbs, and you know,
- 15:43Speaker 1: I had it in my head, Uh what I thought
- 15:46Speaker 1: it might be. Yeah, but it's like kind of like
- 15:48Speaker 1: in like a little like business complex where there's like
- 15:50Speaker 1: a doctor's office and shit. Yeah. Yeah, I was like
- 15:52Speaker 1: I was a little I was like, damn, I really
- 15:54Speaker 1: expected to come to like some giant warehouse with like
- 15:57Speaker 1: weights every where. I think there's a lot of shit
- 15:58Speaker 1: in the back. They're probably it is, yeah, because Andrews
- 16:00Speaker 1: telling the how to get fucking swab just to walk
- 16:03Speaker 1: in there. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, they weren't playing. They're not playing.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Andrew's telling me he did like like he Joe shot
- 16:08Speaker 1: like a bow and arrow from like one hundred yards
- 16:10Speaker 1: out and it's just crazy hit, some crazy bullseye or something.
- 16:13Speaker 1: But it was in that facility, So I think it's
- 16:15Speaker 1: a whole thing, you guys. I feel like obviously Andrew,
- 16:19Speaker 1: I think I credited him to changing how people consume
- 16:23Speaker 1: comedy and how they did how they think of comedy.
- 16:26Speaker 1: And I think kind of the innovation, you know, I
- 16:30Speaker 1: think when we go through something like COVID, right, Yeah,
- 16:32Speaker 1: it kind of forces you to change your approach to
- 16:35Speaker 1: whatever your livelihood is. Yes, And I just think back
- 16:40Speaker 1: to the like turn your phone this way brilliant, and
- 16:42Speaker 1: how it just kind of changed just you know the
- 16:45Speaker 1: way people and I know Luis c K was releasing
- 16:47Speaker 1: specials on his own, but just like on the YouTube side,
- 16:49Speaker 1: like I can't really think of anybody doing the YouTube.
- 16:53Speaker 1: So I know in India they were doing a lot
- 16:55Speaker 1: of comedy clips online because that was the only way
- 16:57Speaker 1: they could do stand up right, get it out there.
- 16:59Speaker 1: But Andrew was the first guy in America, which is
- 17:02Speaker 1: kind of where everybody's looking for the guiding light of
- 17:05Speaker 1: stand up to be like, yo, nobody's buying the special,
- 17:07Speaker 1: I'm just gonna put it out online. And if it
- 17:09Speaker 1: wasn't for that, I would not only because he's done
- 17:11Speaker 1: so much for me, but like I wouldn't be able
- 17:13Speaker 1: to sell in tickets on my own because now I'm
- 17:15Speaker 1: selling tickets through just stand up clips because I saw
- 17:17Speaker 1: that model. So I'm like, oh, and now you're scrolling
- 17:20Speaker 1: through ig. It's nauseating how much stand up there is,
- 17:22Speaker 1: and that's all. It is very nauseating for sure. Because
- 17:24Speaker 1: I follow a lot of comedian I'm like, fuck, everybody's
- 17:26Speaker 1: got a fucking even some of these guys are just
- 17:29Speaker 1: not funny. It's they absolutely should do it. You gotta
- 17:32Speaker 1: do it. But sometimes I'll see the crowd work stuff
- 17:34Speaker 1: and I'll be like, oh, yeah, the crowd. Yeah, it's rough,
- 17:38Speaker 1: it's rough. Luckily we were forged in the comedy club
- 17:41Speaker 1: where we came up with wasn't even a comedy club.
- 17:42Speaker 1: It's called the Village. Lantern is a bar upstairs and
- 17:45Speaker 1: the announcers in the basement. There was nobody there and
- 17:47Speaker 1: they would just let us do stand up. We would
- 17:49Speaker 1: get people off the street, bring them down. If you
- 17:51Speaker 1: had five people, you could do a show. But five people,
- 17:54Speaker 1: I can't do my bits for five people. You got
- 17:57Speaker 1: to interact. You gotta interact with those people. Yeah, I was.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I think it's even three people sometimes and they'd be
- 18:00Speaker 1: looking at me like, are you fucking is this? Are
- 18:03Speaker 1: you a human being? Dude? So you had to learn
- 18:05Speaker 1: to talk to them. You had to learn to interact.
- 18:06Speaker 1: You had to get your CrowdWork sharp. So we had
- 18:09Speaker 1: years of that before we started dropping clips with CrowdWork. Hey,
- 18:12Speaker 1: we got to stop the interview real quick to tell
- 18:13Speaker 1: you about our newest partner to the podcast. Shout out
- 18:15Speaker 1: to our family at Hardean Las Vegas. Man, listen, uh
- 18:19Speaker 1: the number one dispensary in the world. I don't give
- 18:21Speaker 1: a fuck, man, craziest dispensary with the most selection. They
- 18:24Speaker 1: got so much weed in this fucking place. You go
- 18:26Speaker 1: to Las Vegas. You're fucking feeling good with your homies.
- 18:30Speaker 1: It's recreational. You're like, damn, I could just go into
- 18:33Speaker 1: a store and buy weed. Yeah, but you just can't
- 18:36Speaker 1: go into any store in Las Vegas to buy a
- 18:37Speaker 1: week because you don't walk out with some fucking bullshit. No,
- 18:40Speaker 1: you go to hard Dean. Tell them I sent you,
- 18:43Speaker 1: all right, make sure you follow him online. Hard Dean
- 18:45Speaker 1: Underscore Las Vegas. You see it down there. You see
- 18:49Speaker 1: them on the fucking sweater we represent. And by the way,
- 18:52Speaker 1: can we shout out to them for sending me this
- 18:56Speaker 1: This bootleg head podcast thingy. What is this called? No, no, no,
- 19:03Speaker 1: it's for cigars. Humid door, yeah, the human door. Now,
- 19:07Speaker 1: this is what's great about it. We might start doing
- 19:09Speaker 1: this for our smoking guests. You know, we might have
- 19:12Speaker 1: to bust open the Hardean Humidor and just get into
- 19:16Speaker 1: some of these treats. You know what I'm saying a
- 19:18Speaker 1: little bit of the treaties, you know, straight from Hardean
- 19:20Speaker 1: Las Vegas. Even I mean, these are totally props because
- 19:25Speaker 1: you know they're props But with that being said, when
- 19:29Speaker 1: you go to Vegas, telling Bootleg keV sents you Hardan
- 19:33Speaker 1: Las Vegas, I'm telling you it is like going to
- 19:36Speaker 1: It's like the Bentley of dispensaries. It's so nice. The
- 19:39Speaker 1: weed is the best, the selection is the best, the
- 19:42Speaker 1: bud tenders are the best, and YO, make sure you
- 19:45Speaker 1: shoot them a follow Hardyan Underscore Las Vegas. Go to
- 19:47Speaker 1: Hardinlasvegas dot com and when you're in Vegas, go to
- 19:52Speaker 1: Hard Dean Baby. All right, you already know. Let's get
- 19:54Speaker 1: back to the interview, YO, would you say like for you? Obviously,
- 19:58Speaker 1: the podcast helps water everything because it's so massive. Do
- 20:03Speaker 1: you feel like being you guys are on camera a
- 20:06Speaker 1: lot every week, sometimes two episodes a week, always one
- 20:10Speaker 1: two and a Patreon sometimes one on a Patreon, but
- 20:12Speaker 1: at least two, sometimes three. It's a lot of time, right, Yeah,
- 20:15Speaker 1: so yeah, do you ever feel like it does it?
- 20:18Speaker 1: Does it take away from the comedy because it's so
- 20:20Speaker 1: much bandwidth towards that or do you feel like they
- 20:24Speaker 1: kind of like one hand washes the other, one hand
- 20:27Speaker 1: washed the other. But the struggle being married and trying
- 20:30Speaker 1: to be a good husband. Of course, I'll lamp Sunday
- 20:32Speaker 1: from his weekend of doing shows. We'll have a call
- 20:34Speaker 1: about Monday's episode months so I prep for that when
- 20:37Speaker 1: I get home, spend like an hour of my wife
- 20:39Speaker 1: prep for the episode Monday, the episode Tuesday, and spend
- 20:43Speaker 1: all the time my wife. Hopefully Monday night. Tuesday, we
- 20:45Speaker 1: got two episodes on the next day sometimes, so I'll
- 20:49Speaker 1: do that, or I'm doing like voiceover for a Hulu
- 20:51Speaker 1: show or a Netflix show, so I'll do both of those,
- 20:54Speaker 1: or you know, just the prep. Then Wednesday, two episodes,
- 20:56Speaker 1: then Thursday, I'm out of town for shows. Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
- 20:59Speaker 1: damn long. Your marriage is gonna last with all. That's
- 21:02Speaker 1: the thing. I don't want to be the guy. I
- 21:04Speaker 1: want to be the greatest comic ever, But I don't
- 21:06Speaker 1: want to be the greatest comic ever alone. That's the
- 21:08Speaker 1: saddest shit in the world to me is these guys
- 21:10Speaker 1: who are all the way up not the saddest, but
- 21:12Speaker 1: I don't think it's worth it. Yeah, you see guys
- 21:14Speaker 1: like I mean not even to say names, but you
- 21:16Speaker 1: see guys who get divorced and they're like, yeah, you're
- 21:18Speaker 1: that motherfucker, but you're also kind of you know, you're
- 21:21Speaker 1: hanging out with me till three in the morning. You're
- 21:23Speaker 1: fifty four years old. Go home, man, Yeah, and you're
- 21:25Speaker 1: going home alone and you don't want to do that.
- 21:27Speaker 1: And that's not I'm not picking on people, but I
- 21:29Speaker 1: always said I can't have I have to have both.
- 21:32Speaker 1: And I can't give up my wife, right, I mean
- 21:35Speaker 1: I think with anything, they're sacrificed. So as long as
- 21:37Speaker 1: she's like, knows what's up, she knows stuff. But you're
- 21:40Speaker 1: also gonna you got kids. If I want kids, I
- 21:43Speaker 1: don't want kids to necessarily know what's up. Yeah, that's
- 21:46Speaker 1: my dad. He got to go do his thing. But yeah,
- 21:48Speaker 1: he's not any my baseball game. No, that's real, man.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I mean you miss shit bro Like I mean, I
- 21:53Speaker 1: mean as busy, even as busy as I am, like,
- 21:54Speaker 1: and I try to make sure that I'm there as
- 21:56Speaker 1: much as I can be, but just sometimes you just
- 21:58Speaker 1: gotta You're gonna miss some ship. But I need to
- 22:00Speaker 1: make he needs to feel like my dad is there
- 22:02Speaker 1: when I need him. My dad is there for a
- 22:04Speaker 1: lot of shit, if not every Yeah, and eventually you're
- 22:06Speaker 1: gonna get to the point where you're printing money and
- 22:09Speaker 1: you know, you could just take a private jet to
- 22:10Speaker 1: make the soccer give that's it. I'm hoping. I am
- 22:13Speaker 1: hoping like at a certain point is there's a lot
- 22:15Speaker 1: more time for family and a little less uh, a
- 22:18Speaker 1: little less busy. How for you? Obviously coming from your culture,
- 22:23Speaker 1: I always would hear that there'd be like arranged marriages. Right, Yes,
- 22:26Speaker 1: that's a real thing my parents. Now it's a very
- 22:30Speaker 1: fluid thing. Now now your parents might be like, hey,
- 22:33Speaker 1: our family knows this person. You guys will date for
- 22:35Speaker 1: a while and then be like so it's more like
- 22:37Speaker 1: a setup, right, But there are arranged marriages. My dad
- 22:40Speaker 1: didn't know he was getting married till his wedding day,
- 22:43Speaker 1: so he didn't know who he was married. Not only
- 22:45Speaker 1: did he not know who he was marrying, he didn't
- 22:47Speaker 1: know he was getting married period until his wedding day.
- 22:49Speaker 1: How old was he when he married your mon? Twenty four?
- 22:52Speaker 1: What the fuck? How does so give me that? Their story?
- 22:55Speaker 1: Even uncles and aunties at here it are like, that's bananas, Like,
- 22:59Speaker 1: imagine you don't know you're gonna married. And then he
- 23:01Speaker 1: was at another wedding, yeah, and his cousins came up
- 23:03Speaker 1: and they were like, you tell him, you tell me.
- 23:05Speaker 1: He's like, somebody tell me, and they said, you're getting
- 23:07Speaker 1: married today. So he's in the car going over there,
- 23:10Speaker 1: getting fitted for a suit, taking measurements because my mom
- 23:14Speaker 1: was in America at the time. She went to America
- 23:16Speaker 1: when she didn't know her real age, but they listed
- 23:19Speaker 1: at freaking and then she was there for like a
- 23:22Speaker 1: finite amount of time. And my dad's family not even
- 23:26Speaker 1: immediate family, but like they thought immediate family because actually
- 23:29Speaker 1: his uncle was like high up in the Indian government.
- 23:31Speaker 1: So my mom's family was like, this is great, he's
- 23:34Speaker 1: from a good family. These guys are set up. And
- 23:36Speaker 1: then my dad's family was like, she's a pretty girl.
- 23:38Speaker 1: She's in America. This is great. Same cast, same everything,
- 23:41Speaker 1: let's just get it done. What's a cast in Hinduism? Now,
- 23:45Speaker 1: I don't know if this is implemented by the I
- 23:47Speaker 1: should research. The more I've heard is implemented by the Brits.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I've heard us not. But in Hinduism there are casts,
- 23:53Speaker 1: and like a class of people kind it is classist.
- 23:56Speaker 1: But my understanding was always that it is supposed to
- 24:00Speaker 1: be more like an assembly line than a class system,
- 24:04Speaker 1: more like, hey, you guys are focused on this thing.
- 24:07Speaker 1: You guys are focused on my cast ironically because I'm
- 24:09Speaker 1: so small as the warrior cast, because like, look, y'all
- 24:11Speaker 1: if we go to war, y'all are fucking there. That's
- 24:14Speaker 1: what you're worried about. Right. If you're the laborer cast,
- 24:16Speaker 1: you are working, that's what you're working on. Can you
- 24:19Speaker 1: ever upgrade cast? Now? Which is that's but again, if
- 24:22Speaker 1: it's not done in a classest way, no big deal, right,
- 24:27Speaker 1: But but it kind of it kind of has to be.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I mean, you know, yeah, but it's gonna humans are
- 24:32Speaker 1: going to do that now again, I've my wife was
- 24:35Speaker 1: telling me she read a book. My wife's not hindre,
- 24:36Speaker 1: she's seek sick, but she was saying she read another book.
- 24:39Speaker 1: But they're like, no, that's very much baked in the Hinduism.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I didn't pick that up. I need to read a
- 24:43Speaker 1: little better. But yeah, the idea was just like, hey,
- 24:46Speaker 1: this is the most efficient idea. Yeah, Like, if you're
- 24:48Speaker 1: in the working class, it's like you just know that
- 24:52Speaker 1: this is your life, Like, yeah, own business. I'm gonna
- 24:55Speaker 1: be honest. If I'm born and you look at me
- 24:57Speaker 1: and I'm fifteen years old and I'm five two at
- 25:00Speaker 1: one hundred and sixty pounds or whatever I was back then.
- 25:02Speaker 1: You can't be like this ain't no warrior, Hey do
- 25:06Speaker 1: something else. It gets this guy marching class. He's good
- 25:10Speaker 1: with money, you know what I mean? There should have
- 25:12Speaker 1: been but again this was This is the oldest religion,
- 25:14Speaker 1: so it's four thousand years ago, five thousand years old?
- 25:17Speaker 1: Were talking? So did your mom know she was getting married?
- 25:21Speaker 1: She knew it was a possible so she knew it
- 25:22Speaker 1: might have. She met the family. Yeah, and she was like, okay,
- 25:25Speaker 1: but it wasn't that much saying it. What the fuck?
- 25:27Speaker 1: I mean? She could have said, no, it wasn't like
- 25:29Speaker 1: your dad's parents decision to be like, you're getting married today?
- 25:32Speaker 1: Who makes the call? I think my dad's parents or
- 25:35Speaker 1: maybe my dad's uncle again, who's like the more like
- 25:37Speaker 1: like the patriarch? Right, But yeah, I don't know exactly
- 25:40Speaker 1: who decided. He doesn't, I don't even know. He didn't
- 25:42Speaker 1: even care who decided. And your parents love each other, yeah,
- 25:46Speaker 1: I mean, but at work you don't get divorced in India,
- 25:53Speaker 1: so you know, yeah, shit, that's great. I will say
- 25:56Speaker 1: I have seen it's just like the rates are the same, Yes,
- 26:00Speaker 1: what we call love marriages, okay, where it seems like
- 26:03Speaker 1: half the couples I see that are arranged, they're like,
- 26:05Speaker 1: they're really in love. They make it work. It's a
- 26:07Speaker 1: beautiful thing. And then the half it is like, oh,
- 26:09Speaker 1: this never should have happened. This is like a business relationship, yeah,
- 26:12Speaker 1: or just you guys aren't even Yeah, some rough ones,
- 26:14Speaker 1: Yeah the husband is a monster or whatever though, you know,
- 26:17Speaker 1: but at the same time, you look at American marriages,
- 26:21Speaker 1: is a fifty to two percent divorce rate or whatever,
- 26:23Speaker 1: it's fifty to fifty. What I feel like I've learned.
- 26:26Speaker 1: I don't want to be arrogantact like I have the
- 26:27Speaker 1: keys to marriage and fidelity and all of that. But
- 26:29Speaker 1: what I think I've learned is if both of y'all
- 26:31Speaker 1: are willing to do the work, you will make it.
- 26:35Speaker 1: That seems like yeah, and I think I think that's
- 26:38Speaker 1: what most people. They give up when things get fucked,
- 26:40Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Yeah, when they get rough,
- 26:42Speaker 1: When you hit a rough spot, it's like most people
- 26:44Speaker 1: just give up where they cheat or they you know,
- 26:46Speaker 1: they pull the plug a little early. Irreconcilable differences is
- 26:50Speaker 1: the thing that we always just say. But like how
- 26:52Speaker 1: many differences are really irrede like he he hits you, right,
- 26:56Speaker 1: he assaults you in any way, he is abusive in
- 26:59Speaker 1: any way, or maybe maybe he cheats. She cheats, that's irreconcilable.
- 27:04Speaker 1: He cheats. I feel like, I mean what you reconciled this?
- 27:08Speaker 1: Of course, it's a lot more intimate when a woman cheats,
- 27:12Speaker 1: like you've got a guy inside of you. Yeah, it's
- 27:14Speaker 1: definitely a sexist approach, but it's true. I dare you, dude, Yeah, yeah,
- 27:18Speaker 1: definitely I agree with you. Man, Yeah, dude, yeah, for sure. Ladies,
- 27:22Speaker 1: come on, be decent. You know, like, now that obviously
- 27:27Speaker 1: you got the special out, are you trying? Like? What
- 27:29Speaker 1: is like you always hear comedians on podcasts talking like, uh,
- 27:32Speaker 1: once every two years, some guys do once a year
- 27:35Speaker 1: for you? What is like, you know, ideally the time
- 27:39Speaker 1: that you want to take between specials. I feel like
- 27:41Speaker 1: I have something right now. I don't know if I
- 27:44Speaker 1: want to do the hour unless there's like a crazy
- 27:46Speaker 1: bag or whatever. Even Andrew doing the hour, he was like,
- 27:50Speaker 1: it's a lot to do an hour. Now he made
- 27:52Speaker 1: it work, and he made it's great and it's doing
- 27:54Speaker 1: well on YouTube. But an hour to me, always felt like,
- 27:57Speaker 1: who's gonna watch for an hour? An hour? There's a
- 28:00Speaker 1: long time man. And I've even heard that like stand
- 28:02Speaker 1: ups are starting to put like the closing shit at
- 28:05Speaker 1: the front end. That was a Lily thing. Yeah, it's
- 28:07Speaker 1: like to get his hour up. It put the closer
- 28:09Speaker 1: at the beginning, but even yeah for youtubeer tension. Yeah,
- 28:12Speaker 1: and I have a closing bit that I really like,
- 28:14Speaker 1: and I but it's just a long It's like I
- 28:16Speaker 1: sit down, I take like it's my favorite bit I've
- 28:18Speaker 1: ever done. I feel like this is my next level,
- 28:22Speaker 1: but it's like an eight minute thing and it's paced
- 28:24Speaker 1: very slowly. My fear is on YouTube there, like I
- 28:27Speaker 1: ain't watching this shit. There was that Mister Beasts video
- 28:29Speaker 1: I can watch right now. Yeah, where's the minute clip? Yeah? Yeah, yeah.
- 28:32Speaker 1: So I don't necessarily know how to do it. I
- 28:36Speaker 1: feel like, when I build this thing up, I want
- 28:39Speaker 1: to find a creative way to do it. Yeah, I
- 28:41Speaker 1: have something I feel like I could put out really
- 28:43Speaker 1: you know, a little bit of work, but then I
- 28:44Speaker 1: also want to find what's the most creative way to
- 28:46Speaker 1: do it. I really was proud of the way I
- 28:47Speaker 1: did bring back a proof I was proud of the message.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I was trying to send them to other people, and
- 28:52Speaker 1: I was proud of that whole thing. Now there was
- 28:55Speaker 1: like a delivery mechanism. Now I was like, this is it.
- 28:57Speaker 1: I see it. I don't necessarily see it with this
- 28:59Speaker 1: and when I you then it's it doesn't matter how long,
- 29:02Speaker 1: it's let's go. You feel like you're kind of like
- 29:04Speaker 1: helping kick down the door for like, you know, because
- 29:07Speaker 1: we would always I mean you've talked about it, but
- 29:09Speaker 1: just like Indians and entertainment would always be at least
- 29:12Speaker 1: in the US. Obviously the Indian movie space is wild.
- 29:16Speaker 1: It's like its own world. But like in terms of
- 29:18Speaker 1: like US casting, it's always like super type casting shit.
- 29:20Speaker 1: But I feel like that's been coming like a lot less,
- 29:23Speaker 1: like like I think in general with just most races
- 29:27Speaker 1: that aren't white or black, Like, yeah, it's opening up
- 29:30Speaker 1: a lot more. But I think on the comedy side,
- 29:32Speaker 1: like I think like you kind of really like faced
- 29:35Speaker 1: a lot of those like stereotypes or a lot of
- 29:37Speaker 1: those like conceptions about your people in the entertainment industry
- 29:41Speaker 1: head on, do you feel like you're kind of helping
- 29:43Speaker 1: kind of change that narrative A bit in a way. Now,
- 29:46Speaker 1: I always had a different take on like I got
- 29:49Speaker 1: a lot of those stereotypical or whatever, but I always
- 29:51Speaker 1: had a different take on what's offensive to me and
- 29:53Speaker 1: what's not most people. And I think a lot of
- 29:55Speaker 1: times people kind of and this is what bring Back
- 29:58Speaker 1: a Pool was also kind of fight back against I
- 30:00Speaker 1: think is a lot of minorities will take white people's
- 30:04Speaker 1: guilt about what has been done in the past, which
- 30:06Speaker 1: is fucked, but they will really exploit that and hammer
- 30:10Speaker 1: that home, and the point of their comedy is to
- 30:12Speaker 1: make them feel bad. And that was a way to
- 30:14Speaker 1: like elevate your own profile and get your money. Those
- 30:18Speaker 1: guys don't often really help out Indians or brown people.
- 30:22Speaker 1: There's one entertainer I see who's really doing it, you know,
- 30:25Speaker 1: Rommy Yusuf romy That motherfucker is about it, dude. His
- 30:29Speaker 1: his show is not about guilting anybody. And then he
- 30:31Speaker 1: puts all his homies on. He's doing a show for
- 30:33Speaker 1: mo amor mo. Yeah, that's Rommy. That helped get that done.
- 30:37Speaker 1: If you are brown and talented, Rommy will do what
- 30:39Speaker 1: he can to elevate you, and I feel like that's
- 30:41Speaker 1: the way to do it. I think what a lot
- 30:43Speaker 1: of we see is like, oh, I get typecast as
- 30:46Speaker 1: you know, accents, and then they just do that to
- 30:49Speaker 1: get ahead. Yeah. And the other thing too, is like, yo,
- 30:52Speaker 1: why is like a boo is like A he's like
- 30:54Speaker 1: obviously like a he's a business owner. Yeah, you know
- 30:57Speaker 1: what I'm saying, he's got a family. Yeah, it's great
- 30:59Speaker 1: thing about that character. Now, was he voiced by a
- 31:02Speaker 1: white guy? Sure? Yeah, And if you wanted to if this,
- 31:05Speaker 1: if it was, hey, just have an Indian dude do
- 31:08Speaker 1: the voice. Cool, But it wasn't that. It was a
- 31:11Speaker 1: lot of oh my god, look at the struggle we
- 31:13Speaker 1: go through and it's not fun to get made fun
- 31:15Speaker 1: of with the a pooh accent. But like, you can't
- 31:18Speaker 1: possibly compare that to what black people have been through
- 31:20Speaker 1: in America, Gay people have been through America. You're doing
- 31:22Speaker 1: this to get ahead. I just know for a fact
- 31:24Speaker 1: you are. None of you got PTSD from the ship.
- 31:26Speaker 1: And if there may be a couple of you, most
- 31:28Speaker 1: of you don't got PTSD from this. Like it's not
- 31:30Speaker 1: a thing, it's not stop it. And I hope what
- 31:34Speaker 1: I see a lot of minorities do to get ahead
- 31:36Speaker 1: is kind of take the liberal side of everything, and
- 31:37Speaker 1: I'm not conservative. I do think I'm very moderate. I
- 31:41Speaker 1: think nowadays, man, I traditionally am a liberal guy. But
- 31:46Speaker 1: I swear the last three years it hasn't made me
- 31:48Speaker 1: like just pulled me to the middle or I'm the
- 31:49Speaker 1: s everybody's batshit crazy and we should be allowed to
- 31:54Speaker 1: say that without upsetting and still get opportunities. It should
- 31:58Speaker 1: be okay to say that. And I do think i'm
- 32:00Speaker 1: it's before it was either you know, you are the
- 32:04Speaker 1: liberal guy. And I'm not picking on him, but disease
- 32:06Speaker 1: was doing a lot of that before. He had a
- 32:08Speaker 1: lot of it, dude, a lot it was. They called
- 32:10Speaker 1: him woke bay. Yeah, even like his last stand up,
- 32:12Speaker 1: I got like five minutes in and I was like,
- 32:14Speaker 1: all right, it was a lot of like he started
- 32:16Speaker 1: really leaning that with awarded for it, or you'd got
- 32:19Speaker 1: to do the Candice Owens thing, which is also it's
- 32:22Speaker 1: even worane. It's insane gross. But you can't just be
- 32:25Speaker 1: like a moderate guy who's like you both, y'all are
- 32:27Speaker 1: fucking crazy. As a minority, felt like you couldn't do that,
- 32:30Speaker 1: and I hope that's what I can do. It's okay
- 32:32Speaker 1: to push back on either side. I think that's what
- 32:35Speaker 1: during the pandemic. I think that was also a great
- 32:38Speaker 1: thing that you guys provided was just like unadulterated, like nonpartisan,
- 32:43Speaker 1: just fucked both sides with friends everybody. I feel that
- 32:47Speaker 1: fuck both sides. It's like this shit is crazy and
- 32:50Speaker 1: this shit makes sense, like I think I think like
- 32:52Speaker 1: and even like certain ship like the like you know,
- 32:56Speaker 1: when you guys had that uh, what's the what's the
- 32:58Speaker 1: comedian's name from La who said he was into the
- 33:01Speaker 1: trans women and you guys they're posting my guy. You
- 33:04Speaker 1: guys brought the girl off the next episode. That shit
- 33:06Speaker 1: is hilarious, but it's also like ultra progressive if you
- 33:11Speaker 1: really think of like bringing somebody from that community on
- 33:16Speaker 1: in a normal situation. Yeah, it kind of like, you know,
- 33:21Speaker 1: I think we only see those kind of people in
- 33:24Speaker 1: like memes or like in like this like really extremely
- 33:28Speaker 1: like weird woke way, and like I just thought it
- 33:30Speaker 1: was like the best way to normalize any group of
- 33:33Speaker 1: people or any person is to treat them normally and
- 33:36Speaker 1: just talk to them, talk to them normally. That's the point, right,
- 33:39Speaker 1: So we have a conversation with a trans woman and
- 33:42Speaker 1: then we make some jokes, but we have fun and
- 33:43Speaker 1: we learned, and you're gonna make a joke with a
- 33:45Speaker 1: straight woman, You're gonna make a joke with everybody. That's
- 33:47Speaker 1: what you're gonna do. Well, yeah, that's what it is.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Equal opportunity offenders. And then I feel like, hey, now,
- 33:52Speaker 1: I think a lot of people walked away from that, like,
- 33:54Speaker 1: oh I look at this differently. Yeah for sure, yeah,
- 33:56Speaker 1: for sure. When you guys went to Florida, I think
- 33:59Speaker 1: we're talking a little bit off camera, but how how
- 34:01Speaker 1: how uh, because that that was a moment. For sure,
- 34:03Speaker 1: you guys did the open Andrew did open her up
- 34:05Speaker 1: with jelly roll, which was fucking hilarious. It was amazing.
- 34:07Speaker 1: But it was definitely probably at that time, a pretty
- 34:10Speaker 1: hard contrast to New York policy wise, DeSantis had that
- 34:13Speaker 1: bitch booming. We loved it, dude, We fuck because I
- 34:16Speaker 1: gave everybody COVID. I got cold, right, right right right
- 34:19Speaker 1: show in Atlantic City, fucking COVID, the COVID of America,
- 34:22Speaker 1: and then I get I'll be there November fourth, and uh,
- 34:26Speaker 1: then I gave it to everybody. So the upside, as
- 34:28Speaker 1: miserable as that was, is now we're all immune. We
- 34:30Speaker 1: got the anti everybody's got it. Yeah, and we're sitting
- 34:32Speaker 1: in New York where everything is shut down in the the
- 34:33Speaker 1: middle of winter. I didn't I had actually just convinced
- 34:36Speaker 1: my wife to move from Jersey back to the city.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Prices were so low. But then Anderson's a text and
- 34:41Speaker 1: he's like, we can't. This city sucks right now, Let's
- 34:43Speaker 1: go to Miami. And I had just paid a little
- 34:45Speaker 1: bit of money and I was like, this is going
- 34:47Speaker 1: to be such a thing. But my wife was like,
- 34:48Speaker 1: fuck yeah, let's go to Miami. Fuck yeah, we got
- 34:51Speaker 1: the antibodies. Everything is open. I was miserable in COVID. Dude,
- 34:54Speaker 1: without stand up. I hate these guys who are like,
- 34:57Speaker 1: I can't leave without stand up, But I really did
- 34:59Speaker 1: in COVID, right, fuck, dude, you felt that I'm depressed.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I'd never been depressed until that. It was really fucking
- 35:06Speaker 1: down awful place. And then a lot of weirdos, like
- 35:08Speaker 1: shaming comedians were still doing shows. I'm like, what the fuck? Yeah, yeah,
- 35:11Speaker 1: and even the shows were uncomfortable because it was COVID.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Everything is spaced out. Comedy so much about laughter being contagious.
- 35:17Speaker 1: That's why we pack you with it like an open
- 35:19Speaker 1: table in the middle. Every other table was like fifteen
- 35:22Speaker 1: feet between. So it's like, this is a weird thing.
- 35:25Speaker 1: But so much of comedy is just is are people
- 35:28Speaker 1: around you laughing? Then I feel more comfortable laughing. Yeah,
- 35:31Speaker 1: for sure. The community thing. Yeah, because you don't want
- 35:33Speaker 1: to ever be watching a movie and you're laughing and
- 35:35Speaker 1: then nobody else is bad. I missed it, I guess sure.
- 35:40Speaker 1: So with this show sucked And it was twenty twenty,
- 35:43Speaker 1: the election. Everything was so tense, George Floyd like, it
- 35:46Speaker 1: was just like a bad time to do comedy, spaced out,
- 35:49Speaker 1: it wasn't fun. And then Florida. We go there, it's sunshine,
- 35:53Speaker 1: it's open. Everybody's just happier. You're getting Vitamin D, you're
- 35:57Speaker 1: eating out, You're like living a life. It was the best. Dude.
- 36:00Speaker 1: I wanted to stay there so badly. Do you guys
- 36:02Speaker 1: think you guys would ever leave New York? I mean
- 36:04Speaker 1: obviously got the new studio. Eventually, I am doing everything
- 36:07Speaker 1: I can to make sure that make us leave New York.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I'm just one man, but this is my movement. Yo.
- 36:14Speaker 1: You guys had taken some time off. I think when
- 36:16Speaker 1: Andrew went on his vacation. But you guys had just
- 36:18Speaker 1: dropped all these heater interviews like freaking back to back
- 36:21Speaker 1: to back. It was like, you know that it was
- 36:23Speaker 1: a couple of months ago. It was crazy. I missed
- 36:25Speaker 1: most of them because my honeymoon didn't match with his.
- 36:28Speaker 1: And I was like, fuck, dude, I don't because my
- 36:30Speaker 1: wife at school. So I was like to say, what,
- 36:32Speaker 1: has there ever been an interview for you where you
- 36:33Speaker 1: were like a little nervous or you were like that
- 36:36Speaker 1: you look forward to the most when you look forward
- 36:38Speaker 1: to the most. Michael Irvin cowboy fan. He was my
- 36:40Speaker 1: favorite cowboy when I was a kid who was Emmett.
- 36:43Speaker 1: But then as I grew up, I was like, no,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I love this guy. He's got a passion, he plays
- 36:46Speaker 1: with the heart, he's got I love this fucking guy
- 36:49Speaker 1: a little flawed, and then he was the best dude. Yeah,
- 36:53Speaker 1: I love hopefully. But he was so funny though he
- 36:57Speaker 1: came in immediately started making fun of our studio, like
- 37:00Speaker 1: it wasn't even on camera. Right right then he went
- 37:02Speaker 1: and took a shit in the public bathroom. It was
- 37:05Speaker 1: just like, and then he's complaining about this bathroom. He
- 37:08Speaker 1: was just so funny the whole time. People don't understand
- 37:13Speaker 1: how much funnier he is. ESPN. Oh yeah, he's on
- 37:17Speaker 1: the pod. He's Hilarousah. I'm dying to do a podcast
- 37:21Speaker 1: with Michael Irvin, Like I think people need to see
- 37:23Speaker 1: that three dimensional mic as opposed to just football mic. Yeah.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Almost like he should do a fucking podcast. You feel
- 37:28Speaker 1: like every athlete has one one hundred percent. You should
- 37:31Speaker 1: just do like twelve a year where he's just like, Yo,
- 37:35Speaker 1: this is the story from nineteen ninety one when I
- 37:38Speaker 1: had a six cocaine. If you watch that episode, he
- 37:43Speaker 1: talks about going out with Mike Tyson and taking Teo
- 37:47Speaker 1: out with him, and TiO is like a stole, shy
- 37:49Speaker 1: little guy, right, and it's like a he's got story
- 37:51Speaker 1: after story. It's so funny. Yeah, you guys, you guys
- 37:55Speaker 1: have done Tyson too, right, No, No, I'd love to.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I'd be terrified, but I would love that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Tyson's a wild guy man, very intense. Hey, we got
- 38:04Speaker 1: to stop the interview real quick. Tell you about our
- 38:06Speaker 1: partners at my Bookie. That's right, salute to the family

- 38:51Speaker 1: over on wins for the Sacramento Kings and the NBA
- 38:54Speaker 1: season coming up. I think they're gonna have a good year.
- 38:57Speaker 1: I'll also bet the over on the Phoenix Suns. They're

- 39:22Speaker 1: to the interview. Who I was I was about to say,
- 39:24Speaker 1: is that is that one of the ones that you like? Obviously?
- 39:27Speaker 1: I'm sure if you had your wishless who would be
- 39:28Speaker 1: on Dream Guests? Probably Charles Barkley. That would be crazy.
- 39:31Speaker 1: I love that guy. He's hilarious, doesn't give a fuck.
- 39:34Speaker 1: He would fit right in. He don't give a fuck
- 39:38Speaker 1: about any Like the other day they had the first
- 39:41Speaker 1: night of the season, they had a they were just
- 39:43Speaker 1: putt players up on the board and having him guess
- 39:45Speaker 1: what the team they were on, and he got like
- 39:47Speaker 1: zero out of ten. So yeah, yeah, he was like,
- 39:52Speaker 1: I don't know the Kings and he just kept saying
- 39:54Speaker 1: the Kings and he missed everyone. Yeah he never gets them. Yeah,
- 39:57Speaker 1: it was it was so funny. Dude, what are your man?
- 40:00Speaker 1: I would assume you're are you a Kanye West? Fan? Musically? Obviously?
- 40:03Speaker 1: In terms of just like his discography as a hip
- 40:06Speaker 1: hop guy, he's amazing. He's a genius. I think he's
- 40:09Speaker 1: one of the most you know, probably greater discographies in
- 40:12Speaker 1: rap history. Yeah. I don't know enough about music to
- 40:16Speaker 1: really appreciate it. I know he's great, but like Alex
- 40:18Speaker 1: obviously got a ear of course, and he was like,
- 40:20Speaker 1: you don't understand how innovative every everything he does is sonically,
- 40:24Speaker 1: and that makes sense. I do love his music, but uh,
- 40:29Speaker 1: I will say I started to think he was this
- 40:32Speaker 1: is well before any of this shit. I was like,
- 40:34Speaker 1: to be honest, at least he's funny. Now, I you know,
- 40:37Speaker 1: it's still fucked up what he's saying, but at least
- 40:39Speaker 1: it's funny. But like, I felt like he became everything
- 40:42Speaker 1: he said he wasn't gonna become. M hm. Around about
- 40:46Speaker 1: the time of graduation, he started to really shift into
- 40:50Speaker 1: that makes sense, you're becoming everything you said you wouldn't
- 40:52Speaker 1: be in college dropout. Yeah, it was kind of like
- 40:54Speaker 1: a I think I think his mom passed away around
- 40:56Speaker 1: the time, like eight o eight, so yeah, that makes sense. Man.
- 40:59Speaker 1: It's it's crazy because like it's like if you, like
- 41:03Speaker 1: I watched the Drink. Did you watch the Drink Champs interview.
- 41:06Speaker 1: I watched like an hour and a half. Yeah, that's
- 41:07Speaker 1: about what I watched. Yeah, but like his bigger points
- 41:10Speaker 1: are so like okay, dude, Like instead of being an
- 41:14Speaker 1: anti Semitic crazy person, all you gotta do is say, hey,
- 41:19Speaker 1: shout out to the Jewish people. They they are onto something.
- 41:23Speaker 1: That's how I've always felt. And I'm not saying that
- 41:25Speaker 1: the fumple me anyway. So I'm not saying this to
- 41:28Speaker 1: get a deal, but I've always, as a minority said
- 41:31Speaker 1: that's what every minority say they want to do, and
- 41:34Speaker 1: then they never pull it off. Let's stick together, let's
- 41:36Speaker 1: support our own let's support educated financial literacy. Yeah, start
- 41:40Speaker 1: our own company. It's like, yo, you could say that
- 41:43Speaker 1: without shitting on. Like, I don't even know how many
- 41:46Speaker 1: people are in his personal life that are Jewish. I
- 41:48Speaker 1: know his personal trainer was like, it's just like it's
- 41:50Speaker 1: it's it's kind of like watching a fucked up car
- 41:52Speaker 1: crash and your childhood heroes in it, and you're like, oh,
- 41:55Speaker 1: so I got the best insight from my friend. Is
- 41:57Speaker 1: a very funny comic and Matt Pavich, but he struggles
- 41:59Speaker 1: with by disorder. Really talented kid, and I've been with
- 42:02Speaker 1: him when he's on those manic episodes and it's like
- 42:04Speaker 1: intense and uncomfortable. And I was asking him, I was like,
- 42:07Speaker 1: this is a manic episode, right, He's like textbook and
- 42:10Speaker 1: then he goes, I don't know if this is actually
- 42:11Speaker 1: like a scientific thing, but I know for me, when
- 42:13Speaker 1: I'm having a manic episode, I love getting a rise
- 42:16Speaker 1: out of people, and I will say anything to get
- 42:19Speaker 1: a rise out of them. I'll say the most fucked up,
- 42:21Speaker 1: horrendous things. Did you just bust? Ask? Oh? She started
- 42:24Speaker 1: crazy off? Bro, I'm like, what the fuck? Bro? Anyway,
- 42:30Speaker 1: this guy got a great beard to be off camera?
- 42:33Speaker 1: Why are you looking that good for I came here
- 42:34Speaker 1: in joggers. No, but it makes sense that you're just
- 42:39Speaker 1: gonna say shit like Deathcom three or whatever. If you're
- 42:44Speaker 1: having an episode, you're just trying to get a rise
- 42:45Speaker 1: out of it. And it's almost like every time you
- 42:47Speaker 1: get the rise, it's like it's almost yeah. And he's like,
- 42:49Speaker 1: I don't know why, but my friend was telling me,
- 42:51Speaker 1: I don't know why, but I love it. I've said
- 42:53Speaker 1: fucked up things that like to my family and they
- 42:55Speaker 1: thought that's how I really felt, and it's like, no,
- 42:57Speaker 1: I was just having an episode and I loved getting
- 42:58Speaker 1: that emotion out of you. So I really think that's
- 43:00Speaker 1: what's happening. And we're all, you know, I'm not like,
- 43:04Speaker 1: I don't want to be too whatever. But the idea
- 43:07Speaker 1: that you're either just crazy or not crazy, I don't
- 43:09Speaker 1: think is a thing. You can't be not crazy and
- 43:12Speaker 1: have bipolar disorder. And I think if we keep doing this,
- 43:15Speaker 1: is he crazy? Is he not crazy? Kanye is gonna
- 43:18Speaker 1: be like, I'm not crazy. But if you're not crazy
- 43:20Speaker 1: but you do have bipolar disorder, you might be having
- 43:23Speaker 1: an episode. He still probably won't listen, but it's a
- 43:26Speaker 1: way better chance. And if you say, now you're crazy.
- 43:28Speaker 1: He's also like extremely narcissistic, like he truly probably like
- 43:32Speaker 1: he believes he's you know, I mean he always says
- 43:35Speaker 1: that I am I Am, I am Michael pick one
- 43:37Speaker 1: Jordan Jack and like, all right, dude, yeah we get it.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Yeah that was that was actually a fire line. It
- 43:42Speaker 1: was it was it appears mortgage shoes. So I don't know,
- 43:44Speaker 1: if you saw the clips, son, why does he change
- 43:46Speaker 1: his voice? He knows how much Kanye coateswitches, he's on
- 43:49Speaker 1: drink champs. He's different, and then his voice all of
- 43:52Speaker 1: a sudden, his voice gets a little bit higher, and
- 43:54Speaker 1: you have to understand it's crazy. It's crazy. It's gross, dude,
- 43:58Speaker 1: it's crazy. Does he talk like that to Kim? I
- 44:00Speaker 1: don't know whole Kardashian family. I don't know. You have
- 44:03Speaker 1: any relationship with Pete Davidson. Oh yeah, yeah, Pete. I've
- 44:07Speaker 1: known Pete since he was like fifteen, not super well,
- 44:10Speaker 1: but I always seeing him, always told him, hey, man,
- 44:11Speaker 1: you're funny kid. You're a good kid, right, And I
- 44:13Speaker 1: still feel that way. He's a good kid who just
- 44:15Speaker 1: happens to be great at getting pussy. Well, y'all got
- 44:17Speaker 1: a problem with this man all time? For sure, all time? Yo. Yeah,
- 44:20Speaker 1: who dislikes this guy? You're jealous? No, it's crazy. It's
- 44:23Speaker 1: like when you think of his hit list, it's like
- 44:25Speaker 1: it's like Leonardo DiCaprio, It's like Pete Davidson. I mean,
- 44:28Speaker 1: but Leonardo DiCaprio no disrespected. Pete is really really rich.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Did Titanic, and it's much more beautiful looking than Pete Davidson.
- 44:36Speaker 1: No disrespect. Yeah, sure, I'm not even yeah, this guy's
- 44:39Speaker 1: been a heart throw since he was seventeen. Yeah, yeah, sure,
- 44:41Speaker 1: I'll fuck Leonardo DiCaprio, why not. But I'm not I'm
- 44:44Speaker 1: saying Leonardo DiCaprio. I remember him slaying with women after Titanic,
- 44:50Speaker 1: the highest grossing movie of all time, where he is
- 44:52Speaker 1: the iconic heart throb, quintessential everyone he better gets after that,
- 44:57Speaker 1: he is just out here. Petere Peaches the guy from
- 45:01Speaker 1: Guy on SNL looking gang terrible tattoos. So I just
- 45:06Speaker 1: have some funny ass rants, but like, no, I don't
- 45:08Speaker 1: know girls that will look at a rant and be like,
- 45:10Speaker 1: I gotta funck the guy doing the rant on the
- 45:12Speaker 1: weekend thing and like we're talking like Kim Kardashian Ariana Grande,
- 45:17Speaker 1: like yeah, yeah, yeah, it's like it's the greatest list
- 45:22Speaker 1: in history quite possibly. Now there's somebody else. I mean,
- 45:25Speaker 1: let's say Jeter had Jeters is nuts Jeter. Pete Davidson
- 45:29Speaker 1: is arguably as good as Jeter, and that's crazy, yeah, crazy,
- 45:35Speaker 1: it's crazy, man. He must he must be a real coxman,
- 45:37Speaker 1: that guy. Yeah, dude, God bless him. I mean, just
- 45:40Speaker 1: something talk about just like what's the next for flagrant?
- 45:44Speaker 1: I always you know, I always like have this thing
- 45:47Speaker 1: in my head where I'm like, man, I would love
- 45:48Speaker 1: if some of my favorite podcasters comedians, because we always
- 45:53Speaker 1: me and my boys are always talking about how like
- 45:55Speaker 1: good comedies are just dead. Like I can't think of
- 45:58Speaker 1: the last like classic. That's a fucking that is actually
- 46:01Speaker 1: as crazy you bring it up because Andrews he gets
- 46:04Speaker 1: like these grand obsessions, which are good. It's a beautiful
- 46:07Speaker 1: thing because he pulls it off right now, it is
- 46:09Speaker 1: I want us to make a movie, yeah, dude, because
- 46:11Speaker 1: there's no more funny movies. Yeah, Like, I can't think
- 46:14Speaker 1: of the last like it's been at least ten years since,
- 46:17Speaker 1: Like there was like a super classic. I mean like
- 46:20Speaker 1: Girls Trip was cool. Tiffany Haddish fucking destroyed that movie.
- 46:26Speaker 1: There was such a great movie I haven't seen. That's
- 46:28Speaker 1: one of the greatest comedic performances I've ever seen in
- 46:30Speaker 1: a movie. And people act like that movie would have
- 46:32Speaker 1: been good without it. It would have sucked, dick without different. Yeah,
- 46:35Speaker 1: that's probably the last great. It was like that in Bride'smaids,
- 46:37Speaker 1: Like but like before that, what do we really talking?
- 46:40Speaker 1: This is great. I remember loving wedding crashes in college.
- 46:43Speaker 1: But that's like, and that's what I mean. Like, even
- 46:45Speaker 1: if you go back, like I think it's probably like
- 46:47Speaker 1: hangover Hangovers destroyed. It was probably super bad, right, yeah,
- 46:51Speaker 1: if you really think about like the last like yo,
- 46:55Speaker 1: classic comedy. Yeah, step Brothers, fucking bang step Brothers, all
- 47:01Speaker 1: the juta appatal joints. Like I just feel like there's
- 47:05Speaker 1: such a huge, just gaping hole pause for somebody to
- 47:11Speaker 1: come through and somebody put their face in. Yeah, fucking right,
- 47:15Speaker 1: like the dudes from Workaholics tried to do it on
- 47:17Speaker 1: that Netflix movie but that ship was kind of whatever.
- 47:19Speaker 1: But I feel like if like you guys did a movie,
- 47:22Speaker 1: or if you guys could and just put all the
- 47:24Speaker 1: fucking sick Medians in it, like fucking have Tim Dillon
- 47:26Speaker 1: play the fat funny guy. Yeah, yeah, Yeah, that's it.
- 47:29Speaker 1: That's the thing that Andrews currently like obsessed with. And Yo,
- 47:33Speaker 1: we watched this show. You ever seen the offer? I
- 47:36Speaker 1: have not heard. I've heard of it, though I haven't
- 47:37Speaker 1: seen it. Though it's great, it's a fun show. It's
- 47:40Speaker 1: just on Paramount. Plus it's just it's about the making
- 47:41Speaker 1: of the Godfather. I don't realize, Oh, I don't realize
- 47:44Speaker 1: how much shit had happened for that. But I'm on
- 47:46Speaker 1: paramount plus for its fucking Yellowstone. But I gotta watch
- 47:49Speaker 1: check it out. It's super fun. Again. There's little cheesy moments,
- 47:52Speaker 1: but it's just fun. And there's a scene that makes
- 47:55Speaker 1: him say I want to do movies. The main character,
- 47:57Speaker 1: who's like a he executive produces The Godfather and he
- 48:00Speaker 1: leaves the theater and he's like, you don't get this
- 48:02Speaker 1: experience anywhere else. He's like sitting in a theater. And
- 48:05Speaker 1: this is back in the theaters were like theaters. But
- 48:07Speaker 1: still that's true. Man. As great as YouTube is, it's
- 48:13Speaker 1: hard to make you feel that way. Nothing matches a movie.
- 48:18Speaker 1: And I remember watching that and the Andrew was talking
- 48:20Speaker 1: about this immediately right around the same time. It's like,
- 48:22Speaker 1: I want to do a movie. I' do a movie.
- 48:23Speaker 1: And I'm not as obsessed as him, but I'm like, yo,
- 48:25Speaker 1: he's right, man. We can create a feeling a fucking
- 48:27Speaker 1: euphoria group shared euphoria YouTube. I'm here. I'm here. It's
- 48:32Speaker 1: just me, maybe one or two other people, two hundred
- 48:34Speaker 1: people sharing a thing. It's the closest thing you can
- 48:37Speaker 1: get to a live stand up show. No for sure,
- 48:39Speaker 1: or a concert. Yeah, yeah, and like I think just
- 48:43Speaker 1: somebody has to do it. If it's y'all, if it's
- 48:46Speaker 1: you know, have Joe Rogan just bankroll that motherfucker. Yeah,
- 48:49Speaker 1: that might be the movie. That might be the move.
- 48:53Speaker 1: It just feels like, man like, I don't know if
- 48:55Speaker 1: it's something that goes to theaters or not. I don't
- 48:58Speaker 1: know if it's like, hey, we dropped the movie. It's
- 48:59Speaker 1: on Amazon Prime, go run that shit up, or Netflix
- 49:01Speaker 1: bought the movie or whatever it is. But it just
- 49:03Speaker 1: feels like, yo, somebody has to step in and if
- 49:05Speaker 1: and you guys have done so many things that kind
- 49:07Speaker 1: of kick the doors down in general just being independent,
- 49:10Speaker 1: you feel like making a movie would be you know
- 49:12Speaker 1: why they don't do as many and this might be
- 49:13Speaker 1: something to try to figure out again the team that yeah,
- 49:17Speaker 1: we got a good team that could figure it out.
- 49:18Speaker 1: But the problem with comedy financing is comedy doesn't translate internationally,
- 49:23Speaker 1: and international sales are so important to movie studios. Now,
- 49:26Speaker 1: that's why the Avengers will throw any money at it,
- 49:28Speaker 1: because internationally every gonna watch it. Comedy people aren't gonna
- 49:31Speaker 1: watch this internationally most likely. Well also, yeah, because comedy
- 49:34Speaker 1: is different culturally. Yeah, like the jokes that might work
- 49:38Speaker 1: here aren't gonna work in China. Yeah, they just don't.
- 49:40Speaker 1: They don't have the fuck you're talking about. Yeah, they're
- 49:42Speaker 1: like huh yeah, now that's real. So it's almost harder
- 49:44Speaker 1: to even get studios behind it. So it's like, what
- 49:46Speaker 1: are we doing? Like, yeah, it's it's sad though, because
- 49:48Speaker 1: fuck man, I really think like the best comedy shit
- 49:51Speaker 1: is through podcasts or like series, like TV series. Yeah,
- 49:54Speaker 1: we need a good comedy movie though. We really haven't
- 49:56Speaker 1: had a great one. Yeah. Why Yeah, I was about
- 50:00Speaker 1: to say East Bounded Down, but that was a TV show,
- 50:02Speaker 1: TV show. Kenny fucking powers Man, Righteous Gemstones Just yo,
- 50:07Speaker 1: that dude. Danny McBride just plays the same. He just
- 50:09Speaker 1: plays Kenny powers and everything and he kills it and
- 50:12Speaker 1: it's fucking amazing. His name is Kenny powers to for real, dude,
- 50:17Speaker 1: It's crazy, man. What would you say was something that
- 50:22Speaker 1: you kind of uh, you know, being around Andrew as
- 50:27Speaker 1: long as when did you guys first meet eight? Oh
- 50:30Speaker 1: wait met him? He was like the time. Yeah I
- 50:33Speaker 1: just moved in New York. Okay, he was one of
- 50:34Speaker 1: the first guys I met we were both doing this
- 50:36Speaker 1: hood room in Brooklyn and the show got canceled, and
- 50:38Speaker 1: I remember back then, I didn't know like the skinny
- 50:41Speaker 1: jeans was like fashion. I was like, this fucking dork
- 50:44Speaker 1: coming up here in skinny jeans in a fucking Milwaukee.
- 50:46Speaker 1: And then I was like, but he's doing a hood
- 50:48Speaker 1: room in Brooklyn, right, guy can't be some he can't
- 50:50Speaker 1: be like a dork for real, right, He's gotta be funny.
- 50:52Speaker 1: So we shook hands and then he was He asked
- 50:55Speaker 1: me if I wanted to ride back to the show
- 50:57Speaker 1: because the show got canceled right back to the city
- 50:59Speaker 1: to Manhattan, and he was in a minivan, which is
- 51:01Speaker 1: also so funny. But he and I just started talking
- 51:04Speaker 1: about comedy. We had like the exact same taste, and
- 51:07Speaker 1: I'm in New York, so I'm dying for people to
- 51:09Speaker 1: hang out with. But we kind of went our separate ways,
- 51:11Speaker 1: and then every once in a while I would go
- 51:12Speaker 1: buy the Village Lantern and just hang out with him
- 51:14Speaker 1: and his crew, and I kind of got along with
- 51:16Speaker 1: them well. But I would still go do shows and
- 51:18Speaker 1: fucking in the Bronx or wherever and bomb NonStop. But
- 51:22Speaker 1: I remember I was about to leave New York, and
- 51:24Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, I always have fun with these
- 51:27Speaker 1: guys over here. Let me hang out for here. I
- 51:28Speaker 1: was gonna give you, like one more month, let me
- 51:30Speaker 1: hang out here, see if I can make some friends.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Because New York at the time super PC comedy or
- 51:35Speaker 1: super hood comedy, and I'm not. Yeah, I'm not either.
- 51:39Speaker 1: So I was like, let me just hang out with
- 51:41Speaker 1: these guys. And then I found he and I like
- 51:44Speaker 1: not only had the same taste in comedy, we thought
- 51:46Speaker 1: on a very similar wavelength and we could have conversations
- 51:49Speaker 1: at about you know what I thought was a pretty
- 51:52Speaker 1: high level. I don't know if or not, but you know,
- 51:55Speaker 1: and then bits we were we wanted to do comedy
- 51:57Speaker 1: the same way, which is I wanted to be a
- 51:59Speaker 1: little if I want a challenge what they think, I
- 52:01Speaker 1: want to go at this PC shit. And so it
- 52:03Speaker 1: just became and then we're both super loyal and then
- 52:06Speaker 1: from there just built into it. That's important. Man. Yeah,
- 52:09Speaker 1: you guys all seem like you know, I mean, I
- 52:10Speaker 1: think it's dope, like anything you guys do, like everyone's
- 52:13Speaker 1: supporting or involved in or you know, whether it's like
- 52:16Speaker 1: Alex opening up his podcast studio or you know, obviously
- 52:19Speaker 1: your your special everyone's helping out with the Netflix thing.
- 52:24Speaker 1: It's definitely dope to see. Man. The one thing I
- 52:26Speaker 1: have said to Andrew and I think this and I
- 52:28Speaker 1: hope this continues, and it's I think it's been the
- 52:30Speaker 1: key to how we've kept growing and not had too
- 52:32Speaker 1: much shit. We had little things here and there, but
- 52:34Speaker 1: the main thing was we need to put the friendship
- 52:37Speaker 1: over the podcast. Right. It cannot ever be much money.
- 52:41Speaker 1: This makes me if it ever becomes this will cost
- 52:44Speaker 1: me my friendship with Andrew. I have to walk right,
- 52:47Speaker 1: And that's a you know, as the money gets bigger,
- 52:49Speaker 1: that's the thing that feels a lot heavier when the
- 52:51Speaker 1: lifestyle increases and you're like, fuck, I don't know how
- 52:53Speaker 1: to figure it out, but I have to figure it
- 52:55Speaker 1: out because like, this can't cost me my friendship, right.
- 52:57Speaker 1: So yeah, Hey, what up y'all? Bootleg cav here, we
- 52:59Speaker 1: got to interrupt the interview and tell you about our

- 54:08Speaker 1: you need, regular blue shoe, the new mint schewable, whatever
- 54:12Speaker 1: it is you're gonna knock it out the fucking park.
- 54:13Speaker 1: All right. Look, Barry Bonds needed a little performance enhancing
- 54:16Speaker 1: when he hit seventy three home runs back in the day.
- 54:19Speaker 1: He holds the record. Still, you might need a little
- 54:21Speaker 1: performance enhancement in the bedroom. Your lady will thank you,
- 54:23Speaker 1: your wife will thank you, your boyfriend will thank you.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Whatever the fuck you're into. We're not judging over here

- 54:31Speaker 1: and sign up with that poma code Bootleg and get
- 54:33Speaker 1: a month for free. Try it out. It's literally free.
- 54:36Speaker 1: All right, let's get back to the interview, and you
- 54:38Speaker 1: guys are killing Patreon. Shit is crazy. Yeah, thank you man. Yeah,
- 54:41Speaker 1: that's the hell as we started that because I was
- 54:43Speaker 1: fucking broke. I think I subscribed to the Patreon I
- 54:45Speaker 1: don't know, maybe two years ago, because I don't know.
- 54:47Speaker 1: I was just like curious because I had never heard
- 54:49Speaker 1: of it. But I heard you guys talking, I was like,
- 54:51Speaker 1: what the fuck is this Patreon shin. I think when
- 54:52Speaker 1: I subscribe, you could see like how many people you
- 54:54Speaker 1: guys had on the pay I was like, what the
- 54:56Speaker 1: f fuck yeah. And then I start doing the math
- 54:59Speaker 1: in my head and I'm like, oh, these guys are rich. Yeah,
- 55:03Speaker 1: And that was again started because I was legitimately like
- 55:07Speaker 1: I had no I probably made I'm not bullshitting, probably
- 55:10Speaker 1: made six thousand dollars total. In twenty eighteen. I was
- 55:13Speaker 1: going broke. We'd been doing the podcast the whole time.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Six thousand dollars for the total total. If I'm lucky,
- 55:19Speaker 1: I had savings because twenty seventeen went pretty well. I
- 55:22Speaker 1: was on like six MTV shows, right, So you have
- 55:25Speaker 1: series yeah and I, and then one by one everything
- 55:28Speaker 1: starts getting canceled and not getting picked up, and you
- 55:30Speaker 1: keep thinking I'm gonna be okay. I got all this
- 55:32Speaker 1: other stuff, and then each one gets taken out the
- 55:34Speaker 1: back and then I'm left with nothing, and I'm trying
- 55:36Speaker 1: to survive. And I'm talking to Andrew softly about this
- 55:39Speaker 1: Patreon thing because I think our fans would fuck with it. Yeah,
- 55:42Speaker 1: And we weren't big at the time, but I was
- 55:45Speaker 1: talking about other podcasts that we're like killing it, and
- 55:47Speaker 1: then their listenership was way bigger, and he was like, dude,
- 55:49Speaker 1: I don't know if it makes sense. Finally, I was
- 55:50Speaker 1: so broke. I literally said, I go, I'm literally pleading
- 55:53Speaker 1: with you at this point. Can we please do these?
- 55:55Speaker 1: Can we start the Patreon? And he was like fine,
- 55:57Speaker 1: and then he marketed it so brilliantly and like really
- 56:00Speaker 1: want to build a community aspect of the pod through it,
- 56:02Speaker 1: and I think that helped so much. But yeah, it
- 56:05Speaker 1: just became this thing that helped fund a lot of stuff.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Would you guys ever do like Flavorant live with the
- 56:12Speaker 1: live show we have to figure out? Right? For me,
- 56:16Speaker 1: I would and Andrew. For Andrew, I'm asking him to
- 56:18Speaker 1: split money with me when he could go huge on
- 56:22Speaker 1: his own. And for me, I felt like I didn't
- 56:25Speaker 1: get to do stand up like for whatever reason, the
- 56:28Speaker 1: industry has never liked me. And that's fine, and I'm
- 56:30Speaker 1: mad about it. But I didn't get to like go
- 56:32Speaker 1: headline clubs until basically right before COVID, right, and then
- 56:36Speaker 1: obviously COVID shut everything down. So now, once I started
- 56:40Speaker 1: doing an hour five times a weekend, I felt like
- 56:42Speaker 1: I grew so much. And I was never that confident
- 56:45Speaker 1: in stand up before. It's because I'm doing now I
- 56:48Speaker 1: look back, it's like, because I'm doing comedy fifteen minutes
- 56:50Speaker 1: at a time at a club and I'm done, and
- 56:51Speaker 1: I'm looking at all these peers of mine who are
- 56:53Speaker 1: doing five hours a weekend and they're ahead of me,
- 56:55Speaker 1: and I'm getting in my head about it. Now. I
- 56:57Speaker 1: felt like I've on. Now, I feel like, you know,
- 56:59Speaker 1: let's go whoever wants as good as anybody out there,
- 57:03Speaker 1: which is a really cool place to be. You feel
- 57:06Speaker 1: like you're in your bag like that. I feel like
- 57:07Speaker 1: I'm in my I feel like I'm in my fucking bag.
- 57:10Speaker 1: So the live podcast, I'll do it. I'm with it.
- 57:12Speaker 1: But right now my obsession is kind of catching up. Yeah,
- 57:16Speaker 1: catching up to what happened. Yeah, you got a little
- 57:19Speaker 1: taste of it before COVID hit. Yeah yeah yeah, and
- 57:22Speaker 1: even just letting motherfucker like, I really feel like now,
- 57:24Speaker 1: motherfuckers need to know, like, come see the show. I promise.
- 57:28Speaker 1: Even if you don't like me, you can't say you're
- 57:31Speaker 1: gonna say he's good at I might thought he was
- 57:33Speaker 1: a dickhead on my a shrimp whatever. You didn't like me,
- 57:36Speaker 1: but you just objectively he's good at this ship. Who
- 57:39Speaker 1: is in your like, give me your mount Rushmore Comedians
- 57:42Speaker 1: all time? Patrece uh yep, yep, yep. I don't like
- 57:49Speaker 1: saying it because he's so annoying now with Chappelle, I
- 57:52Speaker 1: just stop crying, dude, I don't mind the transo. It's
- 57:59Speaker 1: like me, he's like probably my personal favorite of all time.
- 58:03Speaker 1: He's probably my goat hard because it was just yeah.
- 58:07Speaker 1: But it's like it's like every time I see him now,
- 58:09Speaker 1: it's like, I'm not sure if I'm watching comedy as
- 58:11Speaker 1: much as I'm watching like some sort of like Ted Talk.
- 58:14Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, son, Yeah, And well I
- 58:16Speaker 1: don't mind the Ted Talk dog he did. Do you
- 58:18Speaker 1: remember Bird Revelation is the one in the upstairs of
- 58:21Speaker 1: the comedy store. He actually was there. You were there.
- 58:24Speaker 1: I was there. It was unfucking believable. Yeah, I was there, unbelievable.
- 58:28Speaker 1: I was dying. Yeah, me and my wife are. I
- 58:30Speaker 1: think we're like because they took footage from I think
- 58:33Speaker 1: like five different filmings. That was beautiful. By the thank you.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Both of us really out kicked our coverage. Yeah we did,
- 58:38Speaker 1: we did. We did many Yeah so we uh yeah.
- 58:41Speaker 1: I think Seiphus Sound somehow hooked me up and we
- 58:44Speaker 1: ended up being like right in the front row or
- 58:46Speaker 1: second row of of a Chappelle Netflix filming. It was
- 58:49Speaker 1: fucking wild, but he killed it. But I almost feel
- 58:52Speaker 1: like that was kind of the last time I saw
- 58:53Speaker 1: him do stand up where I was just like, fuck this,
- 58:56Speaker 1: And I haven't seen him live. I know he's been
- 58:58Speaker 1: doing a lot of live shit, but like, yeah, I
- 59:00Speaker 1: feel like some of my favorites have been disappointed me lately.
- 59:03Speaker 1: I wasn't crazy about Cat William's latest. I just see
- 59:07Speaker 1: like interviews with him and stuff, and it's like it's
- 59:09Speaker 1: a sad I hope this doesn't happen to me. The
- 59:12Speaker 1: greatest thing about jay Z is he doesn't shit on
- 59:15Speaker 1: the generations beneath him. True little things here and there
- 59:18Speaker 1: with the money to your ear and yeah maybe like
- 59:20Speaker 1: you know death auto tune, but you know, yeah, yeah,
- 59:23Speaker 1: but I think, like, yeah, like even I even like,
- 59:26Speaker 1: I like Bill Burr's new special, but maybe I saw
- 59:29Speaker 1: him do it in LA a few times, so it
- 59:32Speaker 1: didn't hit as much because I was like, I've seen
- 59:34Speaker 1: I saw him on the fuck you know what, Bill
- 59:36Speaker 1: Burr might be the goat he might I might need
- 59:37Speaker 1: to switch it to Bill Burr because here's what I say, man,
- 59:40Speaker 1: When I was watching live at Red Rocks. I watched.
- 59:42Speaker 1: I watched the first like forty thirty forty minutes, and
- 59:45Speaker 1: I was like, Yo, the consistency of this guy is yeah,
- 59:49Speaker 1: it's great parallel. Yeah. I had seen him so much
- 59:52Speaker 1: in LA, Like I saw him in those parking lots.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Like me and my wife, that's like our main date
- 59:56Speaker 1: night thing. We'll go to the comedy store if there's
- 59:58Speaker 1: somebody I like, I'll be like, oh, we'll buy tickets
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: to go watch bil Burr in a parking lot in LA.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: And so I felt I just felt like I saw
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: ninety percent of his shit. Yeah. So, and the same
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: thing with Tim Dillon, Like I saw Tim Dillon Special
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I feel like five times in the comedy store. So
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: it was like, I know what the punchline is, so
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: when I watch it on and I think he kind
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: of recognized that too, because I heard him talking about it,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: like I've been doing this hour for so long, like, yeah,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: so much COVID shit. You know who actually I fuck with?
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: I never really gave them like too much of a
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: chance because I always just associated this dude with the
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Chelsea Handler Show with Joe Coy. Dee Coy is a
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: beast dude. His new stand up is fucking a beast.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: He's a beast. He has this bit about dudes who
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: are on those ventilators to go to sleep and we
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: sleep at the seatpack shit, It's like you look like
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a ghost is fucking eve in the mouth. It's great. Okay,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: so you got fortrees, you got Chappelle Burr. Here's the thing.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Chappelle might need to get bumped because he can't not
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: put Russell Peters on the obviously for that that's a
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: great mount rushmore. But then how do you not put
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Prior on there? Would you say? Prior's a little bit
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: before your time? Though? Priors a little bit before my time.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: But I appreciated how good Prior was. Eddie Murphy was
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: the first stand of I remember fucking dying out was
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: the family barbecue. I remember me and my homies listening, crying,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: laughing and an audio CD and I was like, yo,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: those were the audio can make you laugh this hard?
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I didn't know. I saw Bring the Pain. I love
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Bring the Pain. Rock was my idol for so many years.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Chris Rock, I think was my favorite for a long
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: time too. Yeah, yeah, bigger and blacker and just like yeah, dude.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: The crazy shit about Bigger and Blacker is it's like
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: a year after Bring the Pain, So to have that
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: much heat back to back is nuts. And I think
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: it might have been better. I think if I I
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: wish Bernie when he like hit his stride as like
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: a superstar, I wish you would have did more. Shit.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: I know he had the show and that was amazing
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: for him to death jam Ship. He had the obviously
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: we go back to the deaf jam Ship obviously King's comedy. Comedy. Dude,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: he murdered everybody, and everybody killed it on that, but
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: he murdered everybody. It was the rumor, maybe I'm speaking
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: out of turn, but the rumor is it was supposed
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: to be Steve Harvey headlining, but nobody could follow Bernie. Yeah,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: so he Bernie would middle, Steve Harvey would struggle. So
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: they were like, yo, good deal, Hughley on here at
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Steve you host, that rounds out the show, but nobody.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: That's why they put Bernie at the end. He wasn't
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: supposed to headline, but they were like, nobody can follow,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: nobody can fuck with this guy. The Milk and Son unbelievable.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: All right, So Russell Peters. All right, let's let's try
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: like Mount Rushmore, because I think Bill and this is
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: your Mount Rushmore. My Mount Rushmore is Patrise, Burr, Russell
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Rock or Chappelle. Okay, I'm not sure. I think I
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: lean Chappelle. Yeah, I think the actual, like the greatest.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I would push Burr off because I think he might
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: be the best, but he didn't like change comedy, so
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: it would be I think Patrice Prior and I don't
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: know the fourth maybe like a Lenny Bruce or some
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: shit because we just didn't. I like George Carland too.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Carlon Carlan was a beast man. Ye yeah, yeah. When
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: I was a kid, my dad used to always listening
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: to his CDs and ship. You know it's crazy about
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Carlon if you there's a documentary on him an HBO.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: I didn't know this. He was like a clean fifties
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: goofy comic, right, and then it was the guy he became.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: It was because of an acid trip. Wow, he took
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: acid and was like, I'm a fraud. Nothing is real,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: None of this is real. So he was like on
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Sir Bill Cosby shit kind of prior to doing ass. Yeah,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: like this goofy stuff, like fifties. What comedy was in
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: the fifties to be on TV. He's making money, but
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: he hated it, and then he he was doing it
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: defeat his family. But then he had an acid trip
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: and it was like, I'm a fucking fraud and then
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: to change everything. That's wild. Have you ever done acid
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: or any No, I've only I've been high twice with
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Joe Rogan. Yeah, oh yeah, you guys, the first time
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: I ever smoked weed and then last week because my
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: wife will get high every once in a while, and
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I always felt because I was always like, no, I
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: don't do that right right right? I felt bad. I
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: was like, I can't get high with Rogan and then
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: never get high with my wife. My wife. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: So we took an edible. That was a fun time, dude,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: We had fun. So you gotta watch watch yourself on
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: the edibles. Man. We take half at a time, like
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: a half, then a quarter, and then a quarter. If
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you take a little bit too much, you might have
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: the worst night of your life. Oh dude. I had
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: a gummy, a who's wax gummy back in the day,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: and I just took the whole thing yeah, and I
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: was sick. I wouldn't even hide. I woke up in
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: the middle of the night. I just like took it
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: and went to sleep. In the middle of the night,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: room was spinning and I couldn't figure out what's going on.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: And then I realized it's the edible. And then the
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: next day on the plane go flying back, I was
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: fucking miserable. Never shrooms or nothing. Nah, but I'm interested
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: in shrooms. I don't want to do I'm okay with
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: that natural stuff. I think right, I'm open to shrooms
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: done weed. I think I might even do like ayahuasca.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: I want to do that shit. Yeah yeah, yeah, but
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: that shit is like I'm almost scared of, like how
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: like what I'm going to be confronted with because it's
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: like supposed to be like life. Yeah, yeah, you gotta
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: go be with a shaman. It's like two days. Yeah,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I'll do that, Carl, Like, who knows how the fuck
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna be after I do ayahuasca, Like I might
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: maybe I divorce my wife or something. I don't know,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: honest about seeing I sell the pictures. M Hey, what up?

- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Can't get down what other one is DMT natural? Yes,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: that seems like a fucking party. So DMT there's you
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: have to get it the natural way. There's a synthetic DMT,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: and then there's like pens that is like the synthetic
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: like you vape DMT, which is not how you're supposed
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: to do it. You're supposed to get the real shit.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: You're supposed to freebase it like it's crack. And yeah,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: from what I hear, I mean I got close friends
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: who sell that shit and do it, and they're very
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: much like, yo, man, there's only one way to do it,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: because there's people who'll give you a pand like it's
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: a DMT pen and my friend did that. You don't
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: want to do that. You want to freebase it. You
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: want to get full pooky from fucking you gotta you gotta,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: That's what I mean. At least the people who I
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: know who are really like into that shit, they're like,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: there's you have to freebase it. You have to smoke it,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: like like that's the only way to go. And then
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: what do they say, happens just you're gone twenty minutes.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: It's only twenty minutes. My I had a homie who
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: told me he did DMT and during his trip he
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: it was it felt like about six months. You say,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: he got a job, met a girl, like fucking lived
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: a six month life and then woke up and only
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: like eighteen minutes had passed. That's amazing. It's also fucking
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: scary as fuck. That's amazing. Imagine like you you hit
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: something and you you just go away and you live
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: like six months of life and then you wake up
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: and you're like what it's like some shit straight out
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: of the movies. But you have to Yeah, from what
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: I hear, I mean I like mushrooms. I do. I
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: do rooms a lot. I was shrooming hard last night.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: How was that? It's great? I have a gummy company
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: that I'm a part of, so I cant hook you
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: up with some gummies they're graavy. Maybe it you just microdose?
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: Oh okay, you could just take like one and like
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: go work out, like some people use them as pre workouts,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: which is what is it? What does it do? It
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: just depends on how much you eat. So if you
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: were to take one it makes you a little bit
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: more focused. It kind of just it kind of makes
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: everything a little bit more realistic, a little more HD.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: If you the more you eat, I would say, the
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: more you like start to really kind of get ultra
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: lost in your how much do I gotta take to
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: get fucking smacked? I was just not too high. Eat
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: a whole bag? Well that seems crazy. It's an eighth Okay,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: the whole bag of the gummies. You could do sixmies.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Really it's it's no, no, no, they're they're pretty properly though.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: So it's twelve pieces and the bags of eighth. So
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: if you really want to get smacked, do six and
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: you'll you'll be able to like sound that's good high,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: nothing crazy and nothing crazy? Yeah, I mean it. Also,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: it also depends on what you ate for the day,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: and if you have like an empty you want to
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: eat them on an empty stomach, really yeah, because then
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: you get the real fool like you really feel. It
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: just depends on what you're trying to get into. Man.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: You know, if you have like a fucking real heavy
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: dinner there, you might need to eat more because they
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: won't hit as hard because you got so much shit
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: soaking up the psilocybin. I'm gonna look, I'm gonna try
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: to do this with my wife. She's scared of it.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: But do we need a shirpa? I don't know what
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: that is. Somebody soap it? I just found it. Somebody
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: so burd is making sure enough? But no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: y'all be all right unless Yeah, it's not like you
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: guys are gonna commit suicide on accident or anything. Yeah, okay, yeah,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: you'll be fine. What about right now? Uh? You gave
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: me your Mount Rushmore. Who are the funniest comedians alive
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: right now? Bill Burr is number one? Okay, I think
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Rogan is up there, Andrew obviously. Yeah, I'm putting myself
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: in that fucking list. I don't care love it. I'm
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: trying to think who am I watching right now that
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: I'm like, bro, that's fucking crazy. Yeah, I think, Uh,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: it's kind of hard for me to answer because I
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: just feel like I just watched I'm like fans of
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: podcasts as much as I am stand up. So it's like,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: I think Tim Dillon's so fucking hilarious. I could just
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: watch him talk star. I could just watch him talk
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: for like an hour about anything, and I'm just like,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I'm just dying. Yeah, that's his He's a gifted talker. Yeah,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: like the fact he could do that like with with
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: no I mean obviously he had his producer, but with
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: no co host or anything. He's just fucking rambling about
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: the Kardashians or fucking Russia. Yeah, like, you know, I
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: want to know what Tim Dillon has to say about
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: geopolitics because it's so entertaining. I haven't heard the New
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Hour from Rogan, but I heard somebody who was telling
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: me he's like, this is the best he's been in
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: a while. Because he was he said, I don't want
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: to get this money and go to Austin and become
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: some rich like lazy out of the right, right, So
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: he's been in the fucking lab. So No, he's nice.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: I always see him at and like he's doing Vulcan
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: and shit. Yeah. Do you feel like he's a little
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: underrated because he's so polarizing for some reason, Like I
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: feel like maybe people don't give him as much respect
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: for like I think one of the greats. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: yeah yea, And I mean it got changed. Yet we're
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: all doing podcast because of Joe Rogan. Of course he
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: changed the whole man. So I think in that sense,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: a lot of people just hate now some people who
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: love him are going to overrate him. So maybe Yeah.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Like my cousin, my cousin's entire life is opinion on
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: everything in the world is formed based on whatever Joe
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: Rogan is saying, which is crazy because Joe Rogan's whole
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: thing is bringing on everybody. It is opinion. It's a filter. Yeah,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: Like my cousin, Like, all of a sudden, like when
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: hardcore maga in like twenty sixteen, I don friend him
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: on Facebook whatever that'd be happening. Sometimes then all of
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: a sudden he hits me. He's like, hey, I know
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: you've been supporting Bernie Sanders for a long time. I
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: saw him on Joe Rogan not a bad guy. He's like,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: I think you might have had him all wrong, and
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, dude, people losers man, it's so crazy,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: sy God, so many people out there just it's embarrassing
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: for you. It's like, dude, you got a four year
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: old thoughts, Yeah, you got a four year old thoughts.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: You can't just dive it like it sucks too because
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: Unfortunately nowadays it's the heart. It's harder than ever to
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: form your old thots because whatever you think, they're just
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: gonna keep feeding you more of that ship. Mann Hershel
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Walker might win this election. Ain't that crazy? I've seen
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: this man get cte. I'm a Cowboy fan. Was gonna say,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: would you would you vote for him? Just based on
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: the Cowboys history? This guy guy, he's clearly got. He
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: was bipolar years ago, beat the ship out of why
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: decades ago. Like I knew all this. It's crazy and
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: he might be. I'm not surprised, though, I would root
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: for him if he was fighting. M m A. You
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: remember Mma, I was very happy he beat the ship
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: out of that guy. I don't remember that. I remember
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: he did it, but I remember if he won, he won.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: He kicked the ship out of the guy. I think
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: that was like one of the more lopsided wild trades
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: I think in football history. Yeah, it built the Cowboy dynasty.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: This guy did everything for me as a sports fan.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: But you got too much brain damage to be I
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: don't care what your politics are. If you played professional contact,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: Mayni pak Yoah shouldn't beat on motherfucking congressman. No, no,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: I don't care your problem. The Philippines are fucking crazy.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Like my boy is Filipino and he goes he goes
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: there all the time. He's like, yo, if you if
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: you get called weed, they put you in prison, like prison,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Like the fucking president of the Philippines is like a
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: crazy person. There's some wild laws out there, dude. I
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: heard in Thailand. If you make fun of the king
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: or the emperor whatever, that's you're fucked. You're fucked, fucked,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: fucked by a lady boy for sure. Yeah, shout out
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: to yeah anyway, listen, man, uh go watch the podcast
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: going Crazy. Yeah, man, we're doing you guys are fucking
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: killing it. Thank you man, thank you. It's crazy. Go
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: to the Patreon hopefully a new special maybe top of
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: the year. I don't have a timeline, but you come

- 1:14:35Speaker 1: it to be fucking good. I don't want to take
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: too long, but right we're gonna cook up something. Maybe
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: it just be a lot of clips. I don't know,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: but I feel like I got when you're doing the
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: like touring, right, are you still hitting like local clubs
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: here to like work on ship, or you just road
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: right now because there's so much podcast prep. My wife
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: road no fucking time when I'm off tour. There's only
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: a few dates left, but then I'll be back in
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: the in the clubs and I'll be trying to build
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: up time to get back on them. How do you
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: feel about I mean that road life's different, right, It's different.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: But I'm fortunate enough that like I can afford to
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: bring my homie through Shark sing who I'm gonna I'm
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: gonna do a special for him as well. Okay, he's
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: got like, yeah, he does my feature stuff, but he
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: has like he has like a day job, like an
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: actual office job, so he's kind of doing a twenty
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: minute thing. I'm like, hey, this is what the why
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: office job suck, and here's how to still I kind
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: of advance in the work price while not giving a fuck, right,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: And it's funny. It's actually funny. I'm not saying that
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: very I want to bring him up. Yeah, and then
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: my camera guy also named keV six eleven slash bodyguard,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: camera slash bodyguard, So I got at least them to

- 1:15:52Speaker 1: talking to me, and I'm so fucking bored and miserable
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: that like I entertained the offer right right right right right,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: let me out of trouble is just keep me out
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: the fucking mix, man, keep me out to mix. I'm here, Yeah,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: I'm cheating on my way with my homies. And then
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: just enjoy all the food in every city. Yeah no,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: I've gatting like twenty pounds. Yeah. I can only imagine, dude,
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: if I was on the road like that, because I'll
