- 1:23Let our authors show you the way.
- 1:26Join me every day, Monday through Friday at 5 p.m.

- 1:38But before we begin this episode today, let me invite all of you to become a 10 penny prime member.
- 1:44Prime members receive exclusive content, a white paper, and recorded presentation, and an ask the expert masterclass at the end of the month.
- 1:52And every month that we do these master classes, I think it's the best one yet until we do the next one, that I try to find the very best people to come and answer your questions.
- 2:02We're exploring the human body because you only get one of these ever.
- 2:06And so we're going through all the different organ systems and teaching you a little bit more about them so you know how to better take care of this one body that God gave you at the point of conception and you have until the day you die.
- 2:18So join us at Prime Membership.dr 10penny.com, Prime Membership.dr10penny.com to learn more and hopefully join and support our work.
- 2:29So now with that, let's get started.
- 2:32Today's conversation is with an author, artist, farmer, and former radio broadcast personality with a proud veteran of the United States Navy, Thomas E.
- 2:42Caldwell, with his book, The Mouths of the Wicked, a true January 6th story of corruption, persecution, survival, and victory.
- 2:53A story of overcoming a secret tribunal slander, perjury, and falsification of evidence to expose an intricate conspiracy within this nation's capital.
- 3:03Now, for those of you that have been joining, been following me here for a while, you know that we I we talk to five different authors a week, which means I have to review five different books every single week, which is like I don't really read.
- 3:17I before I didn't really, I've learned how to read fast.
- 3:20So I've learned how to read faster.
- 3:22And occasionally a book comes across that is so compelling.
- 3:25I do more than skim it, and I have a method for going through these books, and this is one of those books.
- 3:31It I read the entire thing.
- 3:33It just sucks you in and has an incredible story.
- 3:36Tom has just told an incredible story that will talk a little bit more about this here today.
- 3:42So, Tom, welcome to the 10 Penny Files, and thank you for joining me.
- 3:46Thank you so much.
- 3:47Dr.
- 3:48Sherry, it is a pleasure to be with you today.
- 3:51You know, your story truly is one of the most shocking, unique stories about the whole January 6th escapade, but also the wrongful persecution, the dirty tricks by the government, the physical abuse, the sexual abuse, the withholding your prescription medications to cause you to have seizures.
- 4:11I mean, and and it the persecutions for an accusation just went on and on.
- 4:18Can you show can you share with us to get to start the conversation some of what makes your experience so frightening?
- 4:26Well, sure.
- 4:27Um people need to know is most of what you've been told about January 6th just doesn't ring true for those of us who have had to suffer the slings and arrows and worse of the Biden administration.
- 4:42So January 6th, why are we still talking about it?
- 4:45Because this was a time when the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and the Rights of Man were thrown out.
- 4:53Now, my wife and I did go to January 6th.
- 4:55We went there just to say goodbye to the president.
- 4:58Apparently he had lost the election.
- 5:00I'm an old guy.
- 5:01I was 66 when this all happened.
- 5:03Sometimes the guy I vote for wins, and sometimes he doesn't.
- 5:06But Sharon and I, my darling wife, we had never been to a Trump rally.
- 5:10We thought this might be pretty cool thing to do.
- 5:12Washington, D.C.
- 5:13is the city of my birth.
- 5:15We live on a small generational farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, and we're an hour and a half away.
- 5:20We thought, well, let's go and say goodbye to the president.
- 5:23So we did.
- 5:25Our experience, especially down on the ellipse, which is right across from the White House, the southern end of the White House, it was a love fest.
- 5:33There were hundreds of thousands of people there, all happy, singing patriotic songs and what we now call classic rock.
- 5:41The president said, hey, let's go down to the Capitol and peacefully let our voices be heard.
- 5:46Most people don't know that the honorable Mayor Bowser, the mayor of Washington, D.C.
- 5:52had issued a lot of permits for conservative and Christian speakers to speak on the grounds of the Capitol that day.
- 6:00This was not a surge of a mob.
- 6:02A lot of people were going there to hear people, like Dr.
- 6:05Simone Gold, for example, speaking on uh temporary stages that were set up there on the grounds.
- 6:11So we went there, Sharon and I went down.
- 6:13It was so bitterly cold, Dr.
- 6:15Sherry that day, so bitterly cold.
- 6:17I'm a disabled veteran.
- 6:19That's stumping down Constitution Avenue was the longest mile I've ever taken.
- 6:24Just pounded along with my game.
- 6:26We got down to a place called the Peace Fountain with a Peace Monument.
- 6:30It's a dry fountain in the middle of the winter.
- 6:32We're about three football fields away from the Capitol.
- 6:35That's where we spent most of the day.
- 6:37We took so many pictures and videos of lovely people that we saw.
- 6:41And you know what?
- 6:42There wasn't one bit of violence in any of that.
- 6:46Now, imagine our surprise after we went home.
- 6:49Two weeks kicked by, and then in the early morning darkness of the 19th of January, an FBI SWAT team with an armored vehicle and at least two dozen body armor clad thugs with M4 automatic rifles to send on our farm and scream for me to come out with the search lights blasting in my face.
- 7:10You figure if they wanted to talk to me, they could have just knocked on the door.
- 7:14But instead, they were making a statement, a statement of terror.
- 7:17And they pulled me across our lawn, chained me up, double chains, uh, handcuffs in the front.
- 7:23Those handcuffs were fixed to a heavy waist chain around my waist, and I was shoved face down on the hood of a government car.
- 7:31And doctor, that's when I learned what true terror is.
- 7:34I asked people, do you like you like scary movies?
- 7:37What if you're in one?
- 7:38So I look back on the porch that I had exited just a few moments ago, and there was my wife standing there in naught but a night shirt in the glare of these lights with these monsters screaming at her.
- 7:51And I didn't understand, she didn't understand exactly what they wanted, but she was in full compliance.
- 7:56And that's when I saw what I call the devil's fireflies.
- 8:00They were the laser pointers of these automatic rifles dancing across her face and her chest.
- 8:05And I thought, rightly so.
- 8:07She was a finger twitch away from death.
- 8:11And that's when I called out, Abba Father, please don't let them murder my wife.
- 8:15Please don't let them kill my wife.
- 8:17I'm sorry, all these years later, I still get very upset about that.
- 8:22But you know, our father heard and he answered.
- 8:25That was probably the first time in my adult life that I ever actually called out to our heavenly father.
- 8:32The FBI slammed me into a vehicle.
- 8:36I didn't know for the longest time, and Sharon was even still alive.
- 8:39I also committed what they often call on TV the unpardonable sin of actually talking to the feds without a lawyer present.
- 8:48Oh, I asked for one, but that wasn't going to happen.
- 8:51And Doctor, I didn't have anything to hide.
- 8:53I didn't do anything wrong.
- 8:55And in the three-hour someone called Gestapo interrogation, I'll just call it an interview.
- 9:00Uh, it was very clear that they knew that I hadn't done anything wrong.
- 9:04You know, Sharon and I had the most exhaustive pictorial history of our day.
- 9:09I'm not saying that some people didn't do some funky things on January 6th.
- 9:13I'm saying we didn't, and the government knew.
- 9:16And they had access to all these phones, the phone information, all the pictures that we had taken.
- 9:22And yet, during that interview, they said things to me like, I guess you're sorry you voted for Trump now, huh?
- 9:30Is there any question about what January 6th was all about, Doc?
- 9:34Yeah, you know, since you never went to the Capitol, or you never went into the Capitol.
- 9:39Correct.
- 9:40Sat outside on a like a fountain area.
- 9:42You was, you know, like you said, after your long walk, you just wanted to find a place to sit.
- 9:47So you sat outside, you were talking to people, singing to people, laughing.
- 9:52You never critic committed any crime.
- 9:54You never were part of a group.
- 9:56You didn't plan any violence.
- 9:58And since the government knew.
- 10:00You were innocent.
- 10:01Why did they?
- 10:02And you're a retired veteran.
- 10:04Why did they target you?
- 10:07A lot of people have asked that, and we we don't know for certain.
- 10:11It was clear when they were talking to me that yes, they knew they knew that I was uh I was innocent, but they hadn't done any research on me at all.
- 10:20They didn't know that I was a veteran, didn't know I was a disabled veteran doctor.
- 10:24They didn't even know that I used to work for the FBI.
- 10:27Wow.
- 10:28A simple search of their employment records would have helped them with that.
- 10:32But no, I think that some of the agents that were involved in this take down were doing this because they thought it was career enhancing.
- 10:40The directive was coming down from the DOJ headquarters, the uh you was the attorney general.
- 10:46FBI is a subset of the DOJ.
- 10:49But in there's so many different ways uh that our case, my wife Sharon's and mine uh is is different.
- 10:58Um, for example, Sharon and I were together all day on January 6th, but they arrested me but never arrested her.
- 11:04Again, it goes to what you were asking about targeting.
- 11:06And I think I think I'm going to get there in just a minute.
- 11:09But in their press releases, the government told the whole world that I was the mastermind of January 6th.
- 11:17Didn't go in, didn't do anything wrong.
- 11:19But you know, why let the facts get in the way of a good fairy tale?
- 11:24And they threw me in prison.
- 11:26And boy, there's a lot to talk about there.
- 11:28And you hit on some of it at the very beginning, but they put us through the ringer.
- 11:33I was locked up, I was tortured, and I don't use that word lightly.
- 11:37Um, I wrote this book that you talked about, and I'm so pleased and proud that you felt it was compelling enough to have me on your program, let alone read the whole thing.
- 11:48Um, it was important for me to put down in writing an indisputable record of the attack of the federal government against at least one US citizen.
- 12:01I bring the receipts.
- 12:02I've got, as you know, about 24 pages of end notes.
- 12:06I would like somebody to try to fact check me.
- 12:08I'm an intelligence officer.
- 12:09I think I know how to pull things together.
- 12:11But not only was that a major difference, but I would later be subjected to a 10 and a half week long jury trial in Washington, DC, where there was no chance of getting a fair trial at all.
- 12:23And even after that, Sharon and I had to fight for three more years to get some kind of modicum of freedom back, some some semblance of a peaceful life like the one that we had originally known.
- 12:37You know, you spank in your book you in your book um Mouth the Mouths of Wick the Wicked Boy, which is such an apt title after everything that you went through.
- 12:49You speak frankly about solitary confinement and what they did to you.
- 12:55Um, what were some of the conditions like and how did you maintain your resolve during that time?
- 13:00You know, as I was reading, we spoke about this briefly before we started the conversation.
- 13:05As I'm reading this, uh the the thoughts that kept going through my mind were this is in an American jail, they call a prison, and this is the torture stuff they were doing to an accused person that wasn't even convicted.
- 13:22And it sounded like a you know, a deep underground prison somewhere in the Middle East of what was happening to you and others that were in there.
- 13:32Tell us a little bit about that mistreatment and how did you maintain your resolve?
- 13:37I was woefully uninformed about what goes on in the jails and the prisons in our country.
- 13:43And I think I'm not alone in that.
- 13:45Uh maybe many of your uh your viewers don't have any idea.
- 13:50Um, I was thrust into solitary confinement, which is supposed to be some sort of punishment, but I was slammed into that pretty early on in my time.
- 13:59Um, everything was taken away from me.
- 14:01Of course, I had a burlap blend uh short sleeve jumpsuit.
- 14:05I was thrown into a six by ten concrete box, solid concrete walls, and a solid steel door on one end, and a continuous flow of ice cold air blowing on me 100% of the time.
- 14:20Um they did a lot.
- 14:22They were all in on this idea that I was the bad guy.
- 14:25So it seems like they really were also all in on trying to get me to admit to something I didn't do.
- 14:32And they pulled out the jams, I'll tell you.
- 14:34Yes, they immediately cut off all access to any kind of medical care, including the prescription drugs.
- 14:40I always say that, you know, as a disabled vet who's held together by screws and rods and his arm is reattached with a bolt and all that kind of stuff.
- 14:48I'm dependent upon prescription meds, lotions, potions, and notions just to keep going.
- 14:54And somehow along the line, when I first got there, of course, you they ask you all these things.
- 14:59So they knew what um denial of these things was going to do to me.
- 15:05And during that time in there, they pumped in all kinds of horrible sounds.
- 15:10I should tell your viewers that I always cringe when I see these commercials on TV where they say, tap into these sounds.
- 15:18They help you disconnect your brain.
- 15:21They are the same sounds that they're pumping through.
- 15:24Those along with static sounds like from a radio, um, almost like you hear on paranormal caught on camera or whatever, where you've got these voices down inside.
- 15:34And so they're psychologically trying to attack you.
- 15:38Flashing light torture, denial of anything that that is food, as I have come to understand uh the meaning of the word, dirty water to drink at the sink, that was it.
- 15:47And when that didn't get it done, when I wouldn't, you know, just say whatever they wanted, yeah, yeah, they beat me, and worse, and then they finally turned out the lights.
- 15:58Dr.
- 15:59Cherry, you know what it's like when people are held in solitary in utter darkness.
- 16:05And the Mandela Act that most countries on this planet have signed on to said, this is the ultimate of torture.
- 16:12This is illegal, this is inhuman.
- 16:14This is uh a violation of human rights.
- 16:17You know, you had uh a very great conversation recently with a Dr.
- 16:21Patrick Porter, I believe it was, and he was talking about the brain tap.
- 16:25Let me tell you, this was the next level of what we we've heard uh uh the CIA had done, you know, MK Ultra, messing with people's minds.
- 16:36They want to break you down and and remove that cognitive clarity, like Dr.
- 16:41Porter was talking about.
- 16:43They want you to question everything.
- 16:44And when you're in a situation like that, Doc, you really can't think straight.
- 16:49One of the ways that I maintained was on the precious phone calls that I could have with Sharon, they wouldn't let me out.
- 16:55I mean, I was locked down 24 hours a day, but they would occasionally let uh a little short phone cord come through with a dirty old handset, and Sharon said we lived for those phone calls.
- 17:07She was going through a hell of her own.
- 17:09I was going through a hell that was designed to break me down, even at the cellular level.
- 17:16And she she was my rock during all of this.
- 17:20I had asked for a Bible multiple times from the library.
- 17:24Of course, there's no library visits for me in solitary confinement.
- 17:28I think perhaps the people in there knew the power of the word and they didn't want me to get my hands on it.
- 17:34But Sharon, my darling Sharon, she's the hero in all of this because she kept me focused.
- 17:39I always say, if you want to be happy for the rest of your life, make a Christian woman your wife.
- 17:44Because she told me she says, look, you got to remember what it says in Philippians 4, 6 and 7.
- 17:50You've got to approach the Lord with Thanksgiving and present your request to him.
- 17:57And then the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
- 18:02What that means is is, hey, you know, how about acknowledging what God has already done for you?
- 18:06And I talked about it in the book.
- 18:08I I'm I'm there on the floor, I'm freezing, I'm sick, I'm breaking apart, my skin is is separating, and I'm saying, how can I find something to be thankful for?
- 18:18And then I said, Lord, thank you that they haven't beaten the tar out of me yet today, but the but the day ain't over yet.
- 18:25And thank you for my darling Sharon and all the years that we had together.
- 18:29Doctor, I I believed, and Sharon believed many times that we would never see each other again, this side of heaven.
- 18:36But even though I was ready to give up, not give in to the bad guys, but just give it up and say, Lord, take me, um, it was not his plan to do that.
- 18:47And the worst of it was when they held me down on the ground with my legs apart and they kicked me repeatedly in the man zone, and they mocked my faith and said, where is your Christ?
- 19:01Is there any doubt in anyone's mind that we're in a spiritual war?
- 19:08Yeah, I mean, that was the one part of the book that just uh it just made me sick to my stomach, and I was just cringing over, you know, what they did and what they said to you that they would kick you repeatedly in the groin as hard as they could, and while they held you down, and then you had you know trauma after that for quite a while, and they refused to get you medical care.
- 19:31And you know, it was just such a vicious thing.
- 19:35What do you think would have happened, Tom, if they could if they could have broken you, if you would have said, okay, I'm just gonna say, all right, whatever you said I did, I did it.
- 19:46And just, you know, just to conform so that the beatings would stop.
- 19:51What do you think would have happened then?
- 19:53Well, I don't think I would have gone home.
- 19:55I think I would have eventually gone right back into prison and uh probably died.
- 20:00There.
- 20:00For them, it would have been a lot easier because they wouldn't have had to go through so many of these trials.
- 20:06They could have just said, hey, look, just point the finger at all these people, and there you go.
- 20:11And we're going to take them down.
- 20:13I would have been their star witness.
- 20:14That's what they would have wanted from me, but I wasn't going to go there.
- 20:18And most people don't understand that when you take a plea deal of any kind, you have to stand there and swear to the Lord that what you're about to say is true.
- 20:30So they took a lot from me, and they took a lot of my dignity and my innocence and all of that, but they weren't going to let me blaspheme like that.
- 20:39I mean, they weren't, they weren't going to make me stand there and swear falsely in front of God.
- 20:45And uh, I suppose to some people, uh, that's not a big deal.
- 20:50And I think that people at the DOJ have a real knack of making people very, very afraid.
- 20:57There are quite a few people charged with J6 things who I am sure were absolutely innocent.
- 21:02That's just my gut feeling.
- 21:04And yet, they took plea deals, not because they're not religious, not because they're someone stooge, but because when you're facing maybe 20 years and never seeing your children grow up, saying that you did something that causes you to be locked up for maybe three or four doesn't look like a bad deal.
- 21:23And that's why a lot of people did that, I'm sure.
- 21:28Well, you know, as an end time as a believer, you know, many of us are looking at the the state of the world around us, and many, I've had many pastors and many authors, maybe many Christian authors on this show.
- 21:41In fact, before I started this particular show, I did a show twice a week.
- 21:45It was called Happy Hour with Dr.
- 21:47T.
- 21:48So it was supposed to, so I talked to pastors and and and Christian writers, and most everyone that I talk to and my friends all say we're looking at end times of what's coming, and that the persecution of Christians is happening all around the world, but it's about to come to America.
- 22:06And your testimony of faith is so strong.
- 22:09And I think that above and all, and we're going to talk more about your book and the content of it, but I really feel like you what you you withstood and said, No, I'm not going to lie before my God is such a testimony of strength, and can give the many more people the testimony of saying, don't, you know, no matter what's happening to you physically, don't lie before your God.
- 22:31And I think that that it's a message, a take home, one of the take-home messages that I took away from reading your book.
- 22:37Thank you so much.
- 22:38Because all in all, the book, it's not a woe is me.
- 22:43It documents, it's not even a uh revenge kind of book because that's in the hands of the Lord.
- 22:49There hasn't been any accountability yet.
- 22:51Why should I be holding my breath for it to happen?
- 22:53But it's a glorification of God.
- 22:56Because as you know, by going through it, there were so many miracles that happened, so many things that are impossible to explain away as pure happenstance.
- 23:06Our God is the God of details.
- 23:08There is there is no happenstance, there's no coincidence.
- 23:13And if I were not sure of that, I I am now.
- 23:17Here I am.
- 23:18I'm the great grandson of a circuit riding Methodist preacher from the desert southwest in the days of Pancho Villa, and my biblical education was not what it should be.
- 23:30Well, you know what?
- 23:31Those days are open or over because my spiritual eyes are open.
- 23:35And if I can tell some people, if I can inspire, if I can enrage, engage, and encourage with this book about what a loving God can do and say, look, Sharon and I, we're we're the evidence of this.
- 23:47There is no reason why we should have beaten the entire United States government.
- 23:53If I can inspire somebody in that way to say, you know what?
- 23:57I've got a tough situation too.
- 23:59But this clown Tom, he had a really bad situation.
- 24:02If God will take care of him, maybe there's hope for me too, and there is.
- 24:07And that's the message.
- 24:08Is that what inspired you to take your whole story public?
- 24:12That was a big part of it.
- 24:13It really was.
- 24:14And Sharon and I, we prayed about it.
- 24:17I wrote this thing as it happened, as it was unfolding, not in the in the clear light of a beautiful sunset after we were set free.
- 24:25I that's why I'm pouring out so much emotion.
- 24:27I was writing this stuff at three o'clock in the morning as we kept getting hit left and right, exactly what happened.
- 24:34So I can say, let me take you by the hand.
- 24:36Let me show you what this was like and what the government does to people.
- 24:40But also let me show you the what a loving God can do too.
- 24:44And as I said, she and I prayed about this.
- 24:46We said, you know, if we go public with this, there's a real chance they're going to come down on us again.
- 24:52And to a very small degree, the media is already doing that.
- 24:55They're saying, oh, this guy, he's a felon, he's a liar, he's this, he's that.
- 24:59But we said, you know, it's worth it.
- 25:01It's worth it to tell the story.
- 25:03And we prayed about it, and God didn't say no.
- 25:07So here we are.
- 25:08And we thought it was important.
- 25:09So boldly, you got to go forward.
- 25:12We're called to witness.

- 35:04Now is our time, my fellow Americans.
- 35:07America Outloud.news.
- 35:09Liberty and Justice for All.
- 35:16Well, welcome back, everyone.
- 35:18Today our conversation is with Tom Caldwell and his book, The Mouths of the Wicked, a true January 6th story of corruption, persecution, survival, and victory.
- 35:29Let me tell you a little bit more about today's guest.
- 35:31Tom Caldwell is a decorated retired Navy Lieutenant Camp Commander who served for nearly two decades, principally within the Naval's intelligence community.
- 35:42His position gave him a unique perspective on the global and domestic threats of our nation.
- 35:48After a successful military career, Tom and his lovely wife Sharon launched a software systems development company that served multiple high-level federal government agencies.
- 35:58It was here that he first observed questionable practices and motivations from an insider's perspective.
- 36:05A devout Christian, Tom and Sharon today live on a small farm in the in the Virginia Shenandoah's Valley.
- 36:14Tom, welcome so much back to the show.
- 36:17Thanks, Doc.
- 36:18You know, you and your wife Sharon are this uh your wife Sharon is a central feature in this entire story, and how your faith in Christ and her belief in you and her struggles were uh to get you out of that horrible situation was just key to the story.
- 36:39And you've called a genuine, you've been called as a genuine Christian who has walked through the valley of the shadow of death, and what they tortured you through, and I'm sure that Sharon in her own way was being tortured mentally and physically to get you out and to find you justice.
- 36:55How did this experience test your marriage?
- 36:58And what role did she play in that seek for justice for you?
- 37:03She was a the foundation for all of this.
- 37:08Um, as I was suffering in prison, and she could hear it in my voice as I was getting sicker and sicker on those phone calls.
- 37:16People say, Well, so how did you keep from getting pneumonia?
- 37:19I don't know that I didn't, to tell you the truth.
- 37:20And Sharon will be the first one to tell you that.
- 37:22She knew I was suffering, but she was suffering too.
- 37:25She knew that I hadn't done anything.
- 37:27And she was trying so hard just to find an attorney who would deign to defend a January 6er.
- 37:37There weren't very many in the country at those times.
- 37:40It was like we we had uh some kind of a fungus or something like that.
- 37:44Forget justice for all, uh it just wasn't happening.
- 37:48And so she was busy pounding on doors trying to find somebody, and we did finally find someone she did uh who needed a six-figure retainer.
- 37:58I don't know how many people have uh that laying around, but she was busy selling all of our farm equipment to raise the money for an attorney.
- 38:06Um, it's kind of funny to call this place that we live on now a farm since there's no animals and there's no farm equipment, but maybe someday.
- 38:14But she was really going through it.
- 38:16Now, one time uh a friend came over to pray with her and said, Hey, would you like me to help you take down the Christmas tree?
- 38:22Because the Christmas tree was still up as of the 19th of January when they hauled me off, and Sharon said, No, Tom and I put that tree up together.
- 38:31We're gonna take it down together when he comes home.
- 38:34Wow.
- 38:35So she never gave up hope, even though things were really, really bad.
- 38:41And when they attacked us, even after the lawyer that she was able to find, and I should point out that's another one of the amazing miracles in this story.
- 38:53That the Lord sent us the right lawyer, a guy named David W.
- 38:57Fisher from a little place called Glen Burney, Maryland.
- 39:00How about that?
- 39:01A real life David to fight the government Goliath.
- 39:04And she she and he worked so hard, finally got me out.
- 39:10When I got home, I was in a wheelchair by the end of my time in that that dumpy prison in Virginia.
- 39:17And uh, she was nursing me back to health, and we were suffering all kinds of things.
- 39:22You know, they canceled our credit cards, it canceled my social security, the all this stuff illegal, of course.
- 39:27The DOJ with a phone call does this stuff.
- 39:29Um canceled our auto insurance with good old USAA that just loves veterans.
- 39:35Um my military disability payments were stopped.
- 39:40Um, my military medical benefits and by extension hers too were stopped, all on a whim, as the DOJ just wanted to keep ramping up the pressure.
- 39:50And again, there was a chance there for a plea deal.
- 39:53Sharon says I wouldn't let you take a plea deal.
- 39:57I don't care if we lose everything, which we almost
- 40:00Did and we have to live in the back of a car, which thank God we didn't have to.
- 40:04You're not going to take a plea deal ever.
- 40:06We're going to fight them hammer and tongue all the way to the end.
- 40:09And I say, where do you find a woman like that?
- 40:12What it did to our marriage was this.
- 40:14I saw the resolve and the strength in this diminutive, beautiful girl that I knew was there, maybe, but it was up front.
- 40:25And she was instrumental informing our what turned out to be very successful legal defense and all of this stuff.
- 40:35She was amazing at every turn.
- 40:38And at the end of all this, people say, Well, have you have you been restored?
- 40:43Is there any action underway to restore you or any other January 6ers?
- 40:48The answer is not in the way the world understands it.
- 40:52For us, our marriage is stronger than it's ever been, even though we've lost so much stuff.
- 40:58Sharon says stuff is stuff.
- 41:00But our love is stronger than it's ever been.
- 41:03And our faith in and our trust in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is stronger than it could ever have been.
- 41:11Our feelings about our Christian faith and our knowledge about a loving father is just unmatched.
- 41:18It's nothing that I could have ever understood before.
- 41:22But we have been through the fire.
- 41:23She and I together, and we stand together even now, and we're glad it's over, but we are never going to be the same.
- 41:31You know, you go into great detail, really great detail about your trial.
- 41:38And you even have things in there like he said this and cross-examination, this, and it went back and forth.
- 41:44And all I could see was the DOJ attorneys just says, Slithering lizard devils there, you know, um, talk and your your attorney, your attorney was just so calm.
- 41:56And when it was his turn to talk, he just like slammed it all down, and they were just like evil, slithering, slimy devils, you know, of what that whole thing was going on.
- 42:07When the trial was over, after you'd been through all of that, and after knowing what you'd been through, because I think if I remember right, you were actually in prison for 53 days.
- 42:17Right, and then you had a long time of wait until you got to the trial.
- 42:23And when the trial, and then we went through like 10 weeks, I believe you said of the trial.
- 42:27Yes, ma'am.
- 42:28When they when the verdicts were announced, how did you feel at that point?
- 42:34I was really disappointed and really enraged.
- 42:38You talk about the prosecutors, and again, they knew they knew that I was innocent.
- 42:43They suborned perjury from witnesses.
- 42:46Uh, FBI special agents are among those who lied on the witness stand.
- 42:50They the DOJ uh prosecutors, they fabricated false evidence.
- 42:56They politicked with the judge to keep actual exculpatory evidence, stuff that proved my innocence away from the jury.
- 43:03And the judge agreed.
- 43:04When I was back in that prison in that darkness, let me tell you what, Dr.
- 43:08Sherry, there's things that come out of the darkness.
- 43:11Your mind is looking for connections.
- 43:15The area that I was in in the prison, the other inmates called it the haunted area of the prison.
- 43:21And I'll tell you what, there were some demonic things living in the walls there.
- 43:25You could say maybe it was some bad cheese I got in there or something.
- 43:29I was I was having some kind of hallucination, and I won't say no, but I will say I saw the demonic in there.
- 43:36And about the prosecutors, I saw the same kind of thing.
- 43:40I say I looked into the eye of the demon in the dark, and I looked into the eye of the incorrigible and the demonic in that courtroom.
- 43:48It's almost like it's almost like looking into the eyes of a severed doll head that you find out in the woods in a shotgun shack.
- 43:55It looks sort of like it's human, but there's nothing there.
- 43:59There's nothing behind it.
- 44:00It's like it's like a doll's eyes, it's like a shark's eyes.
- 44:03And when you look into them, nothing is looking back that is good.
- 44:07And when I was, and I went to trial on five phony felonies, each carrying 20 years sentence.
- 44:16I was found not guilty outright of the three worst, including seditious conspiracy, which cut me to the quick, especially after a lifetime of service to our country.
- 44:28Um you would think that I would be happy, but they still tacked me with two guilty verdicts who were absolutely ridiculous.
- 44:37It was Sharon once again who kept me from spinning off into the atmosphere.
- 44:41She said, Don't you get it?
- 44:43You beat them, you won.
- 44:45If you had been found guilty of one of those conspiracy charges, it was three conspiracy charges that I was found not guilty of outright, even in a kangaroo court, the jury just couldn't go there.
- 44:55They were going to find everybody guilty of something, but not that.
- 44:59She said, they would have dragged you away.
- 45:00I never would have seen you again.
- 45:02You won.
- 45:03This other stuff, we're going to beat it on appeal.
- 45:05We're going to keep on fighting no matter how long it takes.
- 45:08And you know, until we actually got total freedom, it would be almost three full years after that victorious day in a kangaroo court in DC.
- 45:19Well, you know, your Christian faith is is so strong and woven through this entire story.
- 45:25And we won't tell the listeners what the very end of the story is because we want them to read the book.
- 45:31A little bit of a cliffhanger, I will tell people a little bit of a cliffhanger at the very end of the book that you have to go to to read through everything that they went through.
- 45:41And as a story of inspiration, truly, inspiration of believing in God, believing in your relationship, believing in each other, and knowing that God was with you every step of the way, even in that horrible, awful dungeon that you've you've talked about.
- 45:57Tell tell the listener how you've managed to maintain and be so even-handed about everything that has happened to you.
- 46:05Well, we've come from a time that was so dark.
- 46:09We we dreamed of a day when we would have some kind of a normal life again.
- 46:15And it seemed like uh ignostatis, you know, it just seemed like a wisp of light that would never happen.
- 46:21Every day there was another dirty trick from the government, even after we had gone through trial.
- 46:26Whenever you think that you they can't do anything new that's horrible, they'll do it.
- 46:31They found a way.
- 46:32And uh, we shouldn't be surprised.
- 46:35I I spoke at the very end of the book, of course, as you know, that this was all part of a plan.
- 46:40There was a document that Tulsi Gabbard, our uh director of national intelligence um declassified fairly recently called the strategic implementation plan for fighting domestic terrorism.
- 46:51The significance there is this is the first time, and I hope this is chilling for all of your viewers.
- 46:57It was a document which was for the very first time, the roadmap for attacking American citizens as terrorists, to the exception of any foreigners.
- 47:13They said, these are the kinds of people we got to go after.
- 47:16COVID deniers, right?
- 47:19Religious zealots, people who are those uh uh life people, the ones that uh will protest outside of abortion clinics, the people that don't want children to have affirming surgeries, the people who complain about what the government is teaching their kids, the government knows best.
- 47:38All of these people were on a hit list, and it's laid out in that multi-page document.
- 47:44It was classified, now it's declassified, but boy, the mainstream media doesn't want you to see it.
- 47:50I wrote a couple of op-eds about this sort of thing, but you can imagine in the local DC area, the post, star, none of these are going to um you know publish that.
- 48:01Um, you know, maybe I should send it to you and have you put it out as part of your part of your newsletter, but part of your content because the people that watch your program, they want to know.
- 48:11They're inquisitive, they're intelligent people, and they can understand this was an attack on all of us.
- 48:16And it was just a matter of time.
- 48:18You know, President Reagan said, We're only a generation away from losing so much.
- 48:24And I'm here to tell you truth and innocence meant nothing in the January 6th thing.
- 48:30I I'm the perfect example of that.
- 48:32They knew I was innocent, but they did not care.
- 48:37They just kept doubling down, expecting me to fold up.
- 48:41Well, Tom, I really really seriously send those two articles to Diane because we can we have we're always looking for writers, good writers, and you definitely the full example of you being a good writer for this book, because it's written very compelling.
- 48:56It's like it was hard to put it down when she started, you know, reading and it just sort of sucked you in.
- 49:02Um, that I read the entire book.
- 49:04It was really very good.
- 49:06So send us those.
- 49:07We'd be happy to share that information.
- 49:09Well, I sure will, and I thank you.
- 49:10And I thank you for that ringing endorsement because when I was putting this down, I I didn't know if the FBI was ever going to come back, just take me away again in the middle of the night on some trumped-up charge.
- 49:20So I wanted to get down every single step of the way.
- 49:24And the other thing is, you well know is that I might be the only J6 defendant who has complete access to all of the government information, all of the fake evidence, all the evidence that was true that was blocked from the jury, every single one of the transcripts of the trial.
- 49:41So when I went back and I was saying, this is the way that I remember it, it was great to be able to say, here's the footnote, here's exactly what it said.
- 49:49Yeah, I have a really good memory because I've had a lot of lonely nights uh, you know, sitting there thinking about how could this possibly have happened?
- 49:57Did they really say this?
- 49:59And I will say.
- 50:00One thing.
- 50:00I'm not trying to put you on the spot, but there's outrage in here.
- 50:03There's some joy in here.
- 50:05But many people say, you know, there's some laugh out loud stuff in here that you write.
- 50:10How could you see the humor in that person or the silliness in that particular situation?
- 50:17Sharon says that's just the way you are.
- 50:19It's it's the way you deal with life.
- 50:21And in this case, it might be just a coping mechanism.
- 50:24And I'm glad for it.
- 50:26If you had the opportunity to sit across the desk or across the table with President Biden after all this had happened, what would you say to him?
- 50:37Or what would the conversation sound like as a retired veteran who served the country for 20 years?
- 50:45Um, and in the intelligence division, if you had the opportunity to speak directly to him, what would you say?
- 50:53Well, first let me see.
- 50:54I'm not sure he would really get what I'm talking about.
- 50:57But I would try to say to him, this was done in your name.
- 51:00Yeah.
- 51:00This was done on your watch, as they say.
- 51:03That uh Harry Truman used to have a sign on the desk that said, the buck stops here.
- 51:09And one would think that the buck stopped with Joe Biden, too.
- 51:13If I could really get his ear and say these things were done under your watch.
- 51:20Um, and people were doing these terrible things.
- 51:23What do you have to say about it?
- 51:24Uh, I would have to also say I uh that I wouldn't be angry and yell at him and say, How could you have done this?
- 51:32Because he wasn't actually the one who turned the screw.
- 51:34He wasn't actually the one who swung the boot.
- 51:37But he probably should know.
- 51:40And I think maybe he doesn't really know the depth of the depravity that was going on.
- 51:46Most Americans don't even know.
- 51:48So it would not surprise me if somebody in the Oval Office didn't know.
- 51:52On the other hand, if I could talk to President Trump, I'd say, thank you for saving my life.
- 51:56Um, going back to Joe to Joe Biden, I would not be so angry and I wouldn't curse him or anything like that.
- 52:04Dr.
- 52:04Sherry, one of the things that I learned that was the hardest thing.
- 52:07It was the hardest thing considering what was done to me and what was done to Sharon, who I love so much was forgiveness.
- 52:15God tells us how important that is.
- 52:18Jesus reminds us how important that is in the way we're taught to pray, right?
- 52:23Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass.
- 52:28Doesn't mean any anything like simultaneously.
- 52:32It means in the same way.
- 52:34As I was forgiven earlier in my life, anything that I've done wrong, completely.
- 52:39It's not like it's not like Jesus said, uh, yeah, you're forgiven, Tom, except that stuff you did between January of 76 and March of 76.
- 52:47And I it's going to take me a while to get over that.
- 52:50No, it's completely.
- 52:51So part of it was I had to dig the clause out of them so that I could go on, so that I could do whatever God has called Sharon and me to do in the time that we have.
- 53:02Um, and the other part of it is is forgiving doesn't let somebody off the hook.
- 53:07It's giving forward to God.
- 53:10God, you handle them, you do what you want.
- 53:13If they can be saved, that's great.
- 53:15And uh I'm moving on, use me as you will.
- 53:18And as you probably know by now, Doc, we have gotten a chance to travel a little bit around the country now that I'm free and I don't have to ask the federal government for permission to leave my farm.
- 53:29Believe it or not, that was a real thing for several years.
- 53:32And and we've gotten a chance to meet so many great people.
- 53:35Uh Sharon and I were down in Sebring, Florida uh just last week uh for the uh Highland County uh Republican faith coalition meeting down there and spoke to hundreds of really wonderful believers.
- 53:48And they too said, Hey, this story, this story has to be has to be told.
- 53:53But moreover, it's important for you to tell it because you lived it.
- 53:57And some would think that writing the book was cathartic.
- 54:01No, it was painful.
- 54:02But speaking with people and seeing the light bulb come on and answering their questions in a QA and and holding them and having them speak to me about things that they they thought they they would never know could happen in this country.
- 54:19Just say, what you're doing is important.
- 54:21I don't know if it's important or not.
- 54:23But if somebody says it is, then maybe it is.
- 54:25And so we're just gonna keep on doing it.
- 54:27We're just gonna keep on talking to anybody who would like to hear.
- 54:30I did meet one J Sixer one time in Charleston, South Carolina, where we were able to speak at the Citadel, the military academy of the South.
- 54:39And he he took me by the hand.
- 54:40I hope I don't turn into a blubbering mess right now.
- 54:43But he said, Tommy, you say things I can't say yet.
- 54:46I can't speak about the hurt.
- 54:48I can't speak about the way they destroyed my family and took my career from me and and locked me away for nothing, for nothing.
- 54:57And there are a lot of people, Dr.
- 54:59Sherry, that that did a lot more time in jail than I did, a lot more.
- 55:04And I don't know how they managed to do that, except that there are many that I've met who found the Lord there.
- 55:10And I think that was a big part of how they were able to survive.
- 55:14It was for me, knowing that a loving God knew what was going on.
- 55:19The title of the book, The Mouths of the Wicked, there was never any evidence against me.
- 55:24It was only stuff coming from the mouths of the wicked.
- 55:27And when I did finally get my hands on a Bible after all this created again, I let it fall open, as you know, to Psalm 109.
- 55:36And it spoke to me.
- 55:37The mouths of the wicked and the mouths of the deceitful are opened against me.
- 55:40They speak of me with a lying tongue.
- 55:42When I read that, I knew that the Lord knew what Sharon and I were going through, and that we could win this thing and move into a brighter day.
- 55:51And with that, we're gonna have to close out today, Tom, because we're short on time.
- 55:56We could talk another couple of hours.
- 55:58I want to I want everybody to get this book, This Mouths of the Wicked, a true story about January 6th by Tom Caldwell.
- 56:05So I want to thank you, Tom, so much for your graciousness.
- 56:09Thank you for being here.
- 56:10Thank you for writing that.
- 56:11I so am sorry of so much that you went through, but you know, I've been a long believer that good things can come out of bad things, and your story is a certain testament for that.
- 56:21So, with that, I want to thank all of our listeners who've been here with us today.
- 56:24An incredible story.
- 56:26You can find Tom's book if you go to bookstore.dr10penny.com, bookstore.dr10penny.com.
- 56:33That's where we have all of our author's books.
- 56:35So you can get that.
- 56:36And I want to close out with one of my favorite verses from the Bible.
- 56:39I close every one of my podcasts with, whether they are live or pre-recorded, which is Romans 12, 12.
- 56:45Rejoice in hope, be patient in trouble, and be persistent in prayer.
- 56:48Remember to lean into God and trust him for everything.
- 56:51His timeline may not be your timeline, but he's always with you and he will never let you down.
- 56:56So we will see you here tomorrow or the next time on the 10 penny files.
- 57:00Goodbye, everybody, and God bless.
