- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are. It is our last
- 0:02Speaker 1: break of the day on this Thursday. It's been a
- 0:05Speaker 1: good day. And thank you to our audience as usual
- 0:09Speaker 1: as always for listening. We appreciate you so much. We
- 0:12Speaker 1: don't take you for granted.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Steve Hey, my close remarks today, I want to give
- 0:17Speaker 2: some encouragement to people out here. You know, this is
- 0:20Speaker 2: a new year. In the new year, it gives us
- 0:24Speaker 2: an opportunity to reset. You know, it's just like a
- 0:27Speaker 2: new day. It's like when you get off work and
- 0:30Speaker 2: get to go home, you know, except new years come
- 0:33Speaker 2: every three hundred and sixty five days, your birthday comes.
- 0:39Speaker 2: It gives you a chance to reset. Those are just
- 0:42Speaker 2: like monuments in everybody's life that they get to But
- 0:46Speaker 2: in this new year, let me offer you a suggestion. Listen,
- 0:51Speaker 2: set your goals and your aspirations, and when you do that,
- 0:56Speaker 2: I want you to do just one very simple thing
- 1:02Speaker 2: that seems to be so hard for so many people
- 1:05Speaker 2: to do. And that one simple thing is this, when
- 1:10Speaker 2: you set your aspirations and goals, I want you to
- 1:13Speaker 2: keep the faith. Keep the faith. Now. The reason I
- 1:22Speaker 2: say it's a very simple thing to do, but so
- 1:24Speaker 2: hard to do is because we are human, and as
- 1:27Speaker 2: we're approaching our dreams and aspirations, we are going to
- 1:31Speaker 2: be hit with the opposition because every action there is
- 1:38Speaker 2: an equal and opposite reaction. Correct. So if you want
- 1:41Speaker 2: your dreams to come true, there is always going to
- 1:44Speaker 2: be problems to prevent that. Situations are going to be
- 1:48Speaker 2: presented to prevent that. Keep the faith, don't lose sight
- 1:56Speaker 2: of your goals, don't give up, and don't you dare
- 2:00Speaker 2: stop believing. That's the key to the whole thing. I
- 2:06Speaker 2: cannot tell you how many times I've been disappointed. I
- 2:14Speaker 2: can't count them. I can't count to times I've aimed
- 2:18Speaker 2: for something and it didn't go that way. I can't
- 2:22Speaker 2: tell you how many times it took way longer to
- 2:26Speaker 2: happen than I wanted it to. I'm going through some
- 2:29Speaker 2: things right now, But man o, man o, man the
- 2:34Speaker 2: thing that I really am true to is I keep
- 2:39Speaker 2: the faith. Now. It doesn't mean it doesn't mean that
- 2:43Speaker 2: you don't get off ballanced sometimes, it doesn't mean that
- 2:47Speaker 2: you don't start having doubts. That ain't what keep the
- 2:52Speaker 2: faith means. Keep the faith means when you do have
- 2:55Speaker 2: the doubts, when you do feel lost and confused, and
- 3:00Speaker 2: you feel like it ain't gonna happen. It ain't going
- 3:02Speaker 2: your way. Tell God about it, Take it to God,
- 3:10Speaker 2: get up, dust yourself off, and get back on it. See,
- 3:15Speaker 2: keeping the faith don't mean that there won't be moments
- 3:19Speaker 2: where your faith is shaky. Oh, it's gonna be them
- 3:23Speaker 2: moments right there. It don't mean that there won't be
- 3:26Speaker 2: times where you don't feel as reassured as you normally
- 3:31Speaker 2: do are used to. Those moments are coming. But listen
- 3:34Speaker 2: to me, when you get through it, their moments and
- 3:36Speaker 2: let them just be moments. Get back on it. Keep
- 3:39Speaker 2: the faith, Keep the faith, y'all. Now, I'm saying that
- 3:44Speaker 2: over and over and over because I'm telling you that's
- 3:46Speaker 2: the key. Faith is a belief in things that you
- 3:50Speaker 2: cannot see. And when your way get dark and cloudy
- 3:53Speaker 2: and gloomy out there, and it looked like you can't
- 3:56Speaker 2: see it, that's where your faith got to kick in.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Because God is always standing by. God is always available.
- 4:06Speaker 2: We got keep the faith, man, You gotta keep the faith.
- 4:11Speaker 2: You can't give up on God. You know why, because
- 4:13Speaker 2: God don't ever give up on you. Do you know
- 4:15Speaker 2: how many wrongs I've made in my life and went
- 4:21Speaker 2: back to God, and he said, okay, all right, I
- 4:23Speaker 2: got you man. Come on, let's go again. And I
- 4:26Speaker 2: get back on my horse and I go again. Now
- 4:29Speaker 2: you're going to have people who remind you of when
- 4:31Speaker 2: you fell off the horse, and you're gonna have people
- 4:34Speaker 2: coming up to you telling you who you used to
- 4:35Speaker 2: be and how you used to be. Don't worry about that.
- 4:38Speaker 2: So and we all used to be something. But ain't
- 4:42Speaker 2: it funny how the people that always pointing out to
- 4:44Speaker 2: you what you used to be, they the same, They
- 4:47Speaker 2: always being that raggedy bad mouth and human being that
- 4:52Speaker 2: can't find nothing to do except find something wrong with you.
- 4:56Speaker 2: There's a pastor that comes on TV well online a
- 4:59Speaker 2: lot of time, and you know he's very polished in
- 5:03Speaker 2: the Word of God. But you know what throws me
- 5:05Speaker 2: about him. He don't never say nothing about himself. He
- 5:08Speaker 2: don't never tell nobody when he was making mistakes. He
- 5:12Speaker 2: don't tell nobody how he got over, how God had
- 5:15Speaker 2: to forgive him. I'm just concerned about people like that.
- 5:18Speaker 2: But he always got something to say about somebody else.
- 5:22Speaker 2: He got a celebrity coming out of his mouth, He
- 5:24Speaker 2: got another preacher coming out of his mouth and just
- 5:27Speaker 2: be bad mouthing them like he has never made a mistake,
- 5:31Speaker 2: and I know he has, Oh he know the word
- 5:35Speaker 2: of God, or he throw that Bible up on you
- 5:37Speaker 2: in a heartbeat. But ain't never nothing wrong with him,
- 5:42Speaker 2: but always something wrong with somebody else. You gotta be
- 5:46Speaker 2: careful of people, man. Get yourself in a situation man,
- 5:50Speaker 2: where you understand that you are flawed human being and
- 5:54Speaker 2: you are subject to make mistakes. That's what forgiveness and
- 5:57Speaker 2: grace is all about. And how the fool you got
- 6:01Speaker 2: you thinking that they're skipping through this life seeing free.
- 6:03Speaker 2: That person don't exist. The only person that came into
- 6:06Speaker 2: this world and did is seeing free is gone. He's
- 6:09Speaker 2: coming back, but he left. He left. Other than that,
- 6:16Speaker 2: the rest of us, ain't it. So when you fall
- 6:22Speaker 2: and you get it all wrong and you done messed up,
- 6:27Speaker 2: go to God. Ask for some of that grace, for
- 6:30Speaker 2: some of that favor and that forgiveness. Get back on
- 6:33Speaker 2: the horse. You know what I want you to do.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Keep the faith. Those are my closing remarks. I hope
- 6:40Speaker 2: you had to good one to day. Hey, y'all talk
- 6:42Speaker 2: to God.
