- 2:47Speaker 2: I am going to I'm gonna be doing something different
- 2:50Speaker 2: today since this is the last Monday in this month,
- 2:55Speaker 2: and then we're gonna be going down through shift a
- 3:02Speaker 2: different perspective. Next month, We're gonna be on a different perspective.
- 3:06Speaker 2: We're gonna be using some different words. We're gonna show
- 3:09Speaker 2: you how to adapt and how to utilize, how you
- 3:13Speaker 2: can utilize these this process, this framework in different ways,
- 3:19Speaker 2: and it does not always have to be the same
- 3:20Speaker 2: words in the same process, but how you can add
- 3:23Speaker 2: different things to it, and how you can continue to
- 3:26Speaker 2: go through the process over and over and over. You
- 3:30Speaker 2: can go through it a couple of times, y'all. It
- 3:32Speaker 2: does not have to be done the same way all
- 3:36Speaker 2: the time. You can switch it up and do it
- 3:40Speaker 2: different ways. And that's what I want to share with
- 3:43Speaker 2: you guys next week. I'm sorry, y'all, I'm trying to
- 3:48Speaker 2: go live on another platform to y'all know how I'm
- 3:51Speaker 2: not the most tech savvy, but we're gonna get it together.
- 3:55Speaker 2: We're gonna get it together. So this morning, I'm going
- 3:58Speaker 2: to be sharing with you guys us a devotion because
- 4:04Speaker 2: a lot of people say, well, you got all this
- 4:05Speaker 2: work out here. We never see your work. We never
- 4:07Speaker 2: see your work, so they want to see some of
- 4:09Speaker 2: my work. So I am going to be sharing a
- 4:13Speaker 2: devotion this morning from one of my devotional books. And
- 4:18Speaker 2: then I am going to also be sharing from the
- 4:24Speaker 2: poetry Anathology from my birthday because I don't think we
- 4:29Speaker 2: have shared a lot of that, So I'm gonna be
- 4:33Speaker 2: sharing that with you guys today. So again I want
- 4:39Speaker 2: to welcome you guys to Monday Motivation our Power. I
- 4:46Speaker 2: hope y'all can hear me. Let me see who's on
- 4:52Speaker 2: here so I can see, but I hope you guys
- 4:55Speaker 2: can hear me. So we are live on Facebook, YouTube, Twitch,
- 5:06Speaker 2: and then I'm also alive on TikTok. So this morning, again,
- 5:11Speaker 2: like I said, I'm going to be sharing. I'm going
- 5:16Speaker 2: to be sharing about I'm gonna be sharing a devotion
- 5:27Speaker 2: from one of my books that I did. I think
- 5:30Speaker 2: I did this one in December of twenty twenty four. Yeah,
- 5:35Speaker 2: December twenty twenty four. So I just did this one, y'all.
- 5:38Speaker 2: So I'm gonna be sharing a devotion out of this book,
- 5:42Speaker 2: and then we're gonna be sharing a poem from my
- 5:47Speaker 2: birthday anathology y'all. This was from my Birthday anathology that
- 5:51Speaker 2: dropped this past April, and shout out to all those
- 5:55Speaker 2: that participated inside of this anathology. I'm gonna be sharing
- 6:02Speaker 2: later on about that. But this morning, again, like always,
- 6:06Speaker 2: I wanna thank you guys for joining in and joining
- 6:12Speaker 2: me this morning. Let me I got one more I
- 6:19Speaker 2: got one more thing to do, y'all. I'm gonna get
- 6:21Speaker 2: this together. Uh it's it's I think it's time for
- 6:24Speaker 2: me to try to get me some assistance where it
- 6:30Speaker 2: won't be long. I have some assistance hopefully, But y'all
- 6:37Speaker 2: got a couple of platforms going on, because we got
- 6:41Speaker 2: a couple of things that we're trying to get out
- 6:44Speaker 2: definitely trying to reach some people with the various things
- 6:47Speaker 2: that we are doing. One hundred out the movement. For
- 6:51Speaker 2: those that don't know about the one hundred out the movement,
- 6:54Speaker 2: we're gonna be talking about that today. Is just gonna
- 6:57Speaker 2: be dropping some nuggets because I know today it's a
- 6:59Speaker 2: hot for a lot of people, and I'm gonna share
- 7:03Speaker 2: this with a lot of people that may not know.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Someone just shared this on my timeline. And of course
- 7:08Speaker 2: those that follow me and support me know that I
- 7:10Speaker 2: am from South Carolina. But a fact that I found out,
- 7:16Speaker 2: it was something that I found out probably about maybe
- 7:19Speaker 2: ten years ago, but it's not something that they teach
- 7:23Speaker 2: us here as part of our South Carolina history. I
- 7:26Speaker 2: did not know that Charleston, South Carolina, was actually where
- 7:32Speaker 2: memorial they actually started. And what they were doing was
- 7:36Speaker 2: memorializing their fallen soldiers, those that had died and they
- 7:41Speaker 2: was just laying out and just laying out, and they
- 7:45Speaker 2: just wanted to give them proper barriers, and so they
- 7:51Speaker 2: did that, put the flags out and did that. So
- 7:55Speaker 2: again they always want to take something from us. So
- 8:00Speaker 2: then they started with the made it, uh, well, we
- 8:06Speaker 2: honor the soldiers and stuff like that, when it really
- 8:09Speaker 2: was about honoring those that had lost their lives during
- 8:14Speaker 2: that war. During that war, and was just throwed out
- 8:16Speaker 2: there like nobody and they just decided and you can
- 8:20Speaker 2: go and read it. I actually, if you are my
- 8:23Speaker 2: friend on Facebook, you actually can see the posts that
- 8:26Speaker 2: I shared. I just shared a post about that. So
- 8:29Speaker 2: if you are from South Carolina and you did not
- 8:31Speaker 2: know that, that is a definitely a fun fact to
- 8:35Speaker 2: know about South Carolina, and definitely if you live here,
- 8:40Speaker 2: it is definitely something that you should know and something
- 8:44Speaker 2: that you should be sharing with your children because they
- 8:46Speaker 2: are definitely not teaching that in the schools, and y'all know, definitely,
- 8:51Speaker 2: with the way things are going now, there's gonna be
- 8:54Speaker 2: a lot of things that they're gonna be taken away.
- 8:57Speaker 2: And if you're not teaching it to your kids, if
- 8:59Speaker 2: you're not sharing hearing it with your kids, it's it's
- 9:01Speaker 2: gonna be a possibility that your kids are not gonna
- 9:04Speaker 2: get it. So it's gonna be a lot of stuff
- 9:06Speaker 2: that we're gonna have to do as as parents, as
- 9:10Speaker 2: loved ones. There's a lot of stuff that we're gonna
- 9:12Speaker 2: have to do. Two to really, somebody's wanting to come
- 9:18Speaker 2: on my lives. Let me see, I've never had anybody
- 9:21Speaker 2: come on my live before. But I'm over here trying
- 9:26Speaker 2: some new stuff out on TikTok. So if you want
- 9:32Speaker 2: to come on, just send it back and I'll let
- 9:34Speaker 2: you own. And y'all know, if y'all want to come
- 9:37Speaker 2: on the show, If y'all want to be live on
- 9:39Speaker 2: the show with me on Mondays, all you have to
- 9:42Speaker 2: do is email me Queen U Collaborations, and we definitely
- 9:48Speaker 2: will get you own. And all we do is it's
- 9:50Speaker 2: all about motivation. If if you have a program, a service,
- 9:57Speaker 2: a book, or a message or something, then that is
- 10:01Speaker 2: motivational and you would like to come on and be
- 10:04Speaker 2: a part of the show, just let me know. I
- 10:08Speaker 2: definitely would get you on. So now I am now
- 10:16Speaker 2: live on substack, I am live on TikTok YouTube, and
- 10:27Speaker 2: I don't know what just happened over here. I was live, okay,
- 10:31Speaker 2: and I'm live. I was live, but it looked like
- 10:33Speaker 2: I froze up on all of the other platforms. So
- 10:37Speaker 2: I'm live on Facebook, YouTube, Twitch and substack and TikTok.
- 10:48Speaker 2: So this morning, y'all, we are since this is the
- 10:52Speaker 2: last Monday in May, and we have actually finished I
- 10:59Speaker 2: think we finished up our We talked about transformation and
- 11:04Speaker 2: being intentional and then we did a review last week.
- 11:08Speaker 2: So now we are just gonna recap. We're just gonna
- 11:13Speaker 2: recap what we've been doing and what we're gonna do
- 11:16Speaker 2: coming up. We're gonna talk about what's coming up for
- 11:19Speaker 2: the month of June, y'all know, for us over here
- 11:22Speaker 2: at the magazine and us at the podcast at the
- 11:27Speaker 2: Crew Podcast, we celebrate Black Men's History Month for the
- 11:34Speaker 2: month of June, because there is not a month or
- 11:40Speaker 2: an actual recognized celebration for our black kings. And we
- 11:47Speaker 2: want them to know that they are they are, they
- 11:51Speaker 2: are worthy of being celebrated, that we love them, we
- 11:53Speaker 2: appreciate them, they are needed, and we want them to
- 11:58Speaker 2: know that we appreciate them. And not all men or
- 12:02Speaker 2: dads or fathers. So we want to recognize all men
- 12:06Speaker 2: that are doing things because a lot of men in
- 12:10Speaker 2: the community and doing stuff in the community, and they
- 12:13Speaker 2: may not be fathers, so they only celebrate the fathers.
- 12:17Speaker 2: So we are celebrating all kings that are doing amazing
- 12:23Speaker 2: things because there are people out here that are doing things.
- 12:27Speaker 2: They are in generational curses, they are setting new standards
- 12:34Speaker 2: for their family, they set in new traditions, they're doing
- 12:37Speaker 2: different things, and people need to know what they're doing.
- 12:42Speaker 2: If you are a biblical person, it says that we
- 12:45Speaker 2: should do greater works. And if we're gonna do greater works,
- 12:48Speaker 2: how would they know the greater works? Because we can't
- 12:50Speaker 2: change the Bible. It is already written. So how do
- 12:53Speaker 2: we How do we let people know about our greater works?
- 12:58Speaker 2: We have to share those greater works. How do we
- 13:00Speaker 2: share those greatest works? We have to do the things
- 13:02Speaker 2: that we're doing, like doing these lives, doing these podcasts,
- 13:07Speaker 2: putting out these books. You know, I currently have Amazon
- 13:13Speaker 2: says I have one hundred and forty publications out. Blurb
- 13:17Speaker 2: says I have one hundred and thirty three. So in
- 13:19Speaker 2: between one hundred, I'm gonna say about one hundred and
- 13:23Speaker 2: thirty five maybe publications out in the form of planners, journals, books, calendars, magazines,
- 13:34Speaker 2: you name it, I do it. I love doing anthologies
- 13:41Speaker 2: because I love to help other people that want to
- 13:44Speaker 2: share their story but may not have a whole book.
- 13:48Speaker 2: And I like to bring people together that have similar
- 13:52Speaker 2: stories or similar perspectives and we can share them inside
- 13:56Speaker 2: of a book like we did here inside of this
- 13:58Speaker 2: poetry anthology. Y'all We did this for my birthday. This
- 14:01Speaker 2: was for my birthday, I turned fifty, and we celebrated
- 14:05Speaker 2: National Poetry Awareness Month. So we knocked out three stones.
- 14:12Speaker 2: We knocked out three things with one stone.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Y'all.
- 14:15Speaker 2: We were able to celebrate my birthday. We were able
- 14:19Speaker 2: to celebrate National Poetry Month, and individuals that had something
- 14:24Speaker 2: that they wanted to share, they were able to share
- 14:27Speaker 2: inside of this book. Inside I think it was us.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Maybe I can't remember, but I think it was about
- 14:39Speaker 2: twenty of us. Yeah, it was twenty of us, twenty
- 14:43Speaker 2: amazing poets inside of this book. They shared in it
- 14:49Speaker 2: for my birthday. And I'm going to be sharing some
- 14:51Speaker 2: pieces towards the end of this live. But y'all know
- 14:58Speaker 2: how I like to start off everything. And I know
- 15:01Speaker 2: I've been on here talking for about fifteen minutes, but
- 15:04Speaker 2: we have not gotten into our lesson yet. So before
- 15:07Speaker 2: I get into the lesson, I always like to start
- 15:10Speaker 2: off with the prayer. For those that know me, I
- 15:13Speaker 2: love to pray. We have a five am prayer line
- 15:17Speaker 2: if you need a prayer family for joining us, It's
- 15:22Speaker 2: called the Servant Leader's Prayer Line. We pray every morning
- 15:25Speaker 2: at five am. Apostle doctor Kimberly Thomas, who did the
- 15:30Speaker 2: forward for this book. She is our overseer on that line.
- 15:34Speaker 2: So you guys can come over there and pray with us.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Pamela J. Hayes and Shaniya Osborne, they are my prayer bestie. Y'all.
- 15:43Speaker 2: We've been doing this for five years. We've been standing
- 15:45Speaker 2: in the gap. We've been praying for people. We've been
- 15:48Speaker 2: believing God for healing, for deliverance, and a lot of
- 15:52Speaker 2: different things, y'all individuals. We've been praying for people to
- 15:56Speaker 2: come home from prison. We've been praying for people that
- 15:59Speaker 2: have had cancer, you name it. We have been standing
- 16:04Speaker 2: on the while and we've been watching God move. We've
- 16:07Speaker 2: been watching God show up and show out, and y'all,
- 16:10Speaker 2: we yet on the while. But this morning I am
- 16:13Speaker 2: going to share a devotion out of this book that
- 16:18Speaker 2: I dropped in December, December sixth of twenty twenty four,
- 16:23Speaker 2: and today lesson is going to be It's called Preparing
- 16:28Speaker 2: the Hearts. And the scripture is in how I did
- 16:33Speaker 2: each devotion each day is there's a scripture, then there's
- 16:37Speaker 2: an affirmation. And everybody that follow me now know that
- 16:41Speaker 2: I like poetry, so there is an affirmation poem, and
- 16:48Speaker 2: then there's an additional scripture that you can follow up.
- 16:52Speaker 2: After you've done this lesson, you can follow up if
- 16:56Speaker 2: you want to go deeper, you want to do a
- 16:57Speaker 2: little deeper reading, you can go into another scripture to
- 17:03Speaker 2: accommodate what we talk about here. So this lesson here
- 17:07Speaker 2: the scripture is Philippians three and fourteen is I press
- 17:11Speaker 2: on towards the goal of the price of the upper
- 17:13Speaker 2: calling of God in Christ Jesus. And I tell everybody
- 17:20Speaker 2: when you read a scripture, put yourself in the place
- 17:26Speaker 2: of those words. Put yourself in that make your make
- 17:32Speaker 2: you feel like you're in that scripture. We got to
- 17:35Speaker 2: learn how to make these scriptures become life, really a
- 17:40Speaker 2: part of us. That's what it's all about. When you
- 17:43Speaker 2: can make it become a part of you, you can.
- 17:47Speaker 2: You can it seems like you can get through things,
- 17:50Speaker 2: you can act, you can get new a neeuver because
- 17:52Speaker 2: you're you're in it. So when you understand this, it says,
- 17:57Speaker 2: I press on towards the goal for the price of
- 18:00Speaker 2: the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. So a
- 18:05Speaker 2: lot of us be going through stuff and people wonder,
- 18:09Speaker 2: how do we keep going. This is how we keep going.
- 18:13Speaker 2: This is how we keep going because it is above us.
- 18:18Speaker 2: It is not about us in the natural, it's not
- 18:22Speaker 2: about us in our situation of us in just us.
- 18:28Speaker 2: But it's about the bigger picture why he placed us here.
- 18:33Speaker 2: You know, there's people that you are connected to that
- 18:38Speaker 2: it's supposed to to. You're supposed to be able to
- 18:42Speaker 2: lead them, to guide them, to be a a disciple
- 18:49Speaker 2: to them. You're supposed to be able to witness in them.
- 18:52Speaker 2: You know, a lot of time we go through stuff
- 18:54Speaker 2: and we wonder, you know, why me? When we always
- 18:59Speaker 2: in the back our mind that questions should be why not?
- 19:02Speaker 2: And then we should be asking ourselves, you know, so
- 19:06Speaker 2: why did we have to go through this? What was
- 19:08Speaker 2: the lesson? What can we get out of what we
- 19:11Speaker 2: went through? Instead of taking the negative, we have to
- 19:15Speaker 2: learn how to take the positive. Because if we are believers,
- 19:19Speaker 2: and whatever you believe, if you are a believer and
- 19:24Speaker 2: you believe whatever your belief system is, and you believe that,
- 19:30Speaker 2: then you have to understand that some of those things
- 19:35Speaker 2: was already laid out. I'm a Christian. I believe in
- 19:38Speaker 2: the world, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe in God.
- 19:41Speaker 2: I believe, and I believe that those things that has
- 19:45Speaker 2: happened in the past, those things that they endure, those
- 19:48Speaker 2: things they're still happening now, y'all. There's nothing new under
- 19:54Speaker 2: the sun, there's nothing new falling out of the sky.
- 19:57Speaker 2: There's nothing new that's gonna happen. That things that they endure, y'all.
- 20:03Speaker 2: We just got to understand that it's just elevated. It's
- 20:06Speaker 2: just a different level. So as things begin to go forward,
- 20:12Speaker 2: and as the world began to evolve, we begin to
- 20:15Speaker 2: evolve it. Things begin to go forward, things are going
- 20:20Speaker 2: to continue to evolve even when we're gonna y'all, we're
- 20:24Speaker 2: starting to begin to see glimpses of what things may
- 20:28Speaker 2: look like, just like we started when we was young.
- 20:33Speaker 2: We used to see these cartoons and see all these
- 20:35Speaker 2: different little things. And now we're starting to see some
- 20:38Speaker 2: of these things that we saw as cartoons. They're becoming
- 20:42Speaker 2: real life. We're seeing them in the natural. We're seeing
- 20:46Speaker 2: these cars that can drive themselves, these these electric cars,
- 20:50Speaker 2: these different things that we saw that we thought were cartoons.
- 20:57Speaker 2: It's just the elevation, it's just the evolving what's to
- 21:00Speaker 2: come and there's other things to even come after us.
- 21:06Speaker 2: So what a blueprint are we leaving? This is what
- 21:11Speaker 2: we have to be concerned about. What evidence of you
- 21:17Speaker 2: are you leaving here? Because we see what's happening in
- 21:24Speaker 2: the natural, we see what our current administration is doing.
- 21:28Speaker 2: We see what's happening. So with everything that's happening and
- 21:32Speaker 2: everything that's going on, how are you making your mark?
- 21:35Speaker 2: How are you making a difference? Because one of the
- 21:38Speaker 2: models here at the Crew Podcast, Aspiring Authors, Magazine, A
- 21:41Speaker 2: A L.
- 21:41Speaker 3: A c.
- 21:42Speaker 2: And everything that's under my brand is that we are
- 21:45Speaker 2: the change that we desire to see in this world.
- 21:48Speaker 2: So how can you be the change if you're not
- 21:51Speaker 2: doing anything? But it's insanity to continue to do the
- 21:55Speaker 2: same things and think that things are going to change
- 21:58Speaker 2: and things are going to get different, and that you're
- 22:01Speaker 2: gonna walk into something different. It's not gonna happen, and
- 22:04Speaker 2: there's nothing falling out of the sky, y'all. Nobody's gonna
- 22:08Speaker 2: come save you on a white horse. Nobody's gonna just
- 22:11Speaker 2: pop in and everything is gonna be okay. A snap no,
- 22:15Speaker 2: because that's not even how God works. He can change
- 22:20Speaker 2: things at the blink of an eye. In his heimen.
- 22:24Speaker 2: But he don't just think he's just gonna pop in
- 22:26Speaker 2: here and just go y'all, everything he's he's already given
- 22:30Speaker 2: us everything that we need. If you go back over
- 22:33Speaker 2: in Genesis two and two and seven, it said that breath,
- 22:37Speaker 2: that breath of life that he breathed into us, y'all,
- 22:40Speaker 2: everything that we needed was positive into you. So if
- 22:45Speaker 2: you're out here searching and discovering and trying to say
- 22:49Speaker 2: you're trying to find yourself, really have you really sit
- 22:53Speaker 2: down and really spent time with yourself and evaluated yourself
- 22:56Speaker 2: and did those hard talks with yourself and those things
- 22:59Speaker 2: that you know to really get to know yourself. Become
- 23:03Speaker 2: self aware of who you are. That's one of the
- 23:06Speaker 2: things that we talked about and begain in the shift,
- 23:09Speaker 2: truly knowing who we are. And when you truly know
- 23:13Speaker 2: who you are, then you can maneuver, you can, you
- 23:18Speaker 2: can you can move in so many different ways. When
- 23:23Speaker 2: we begin to know who we are and love who
- 23:25Speaker 2: we are, then y'all, that's when we can again to
- 23:29Speaker 2: help those that are around us to do the same
- 23:32Speaker 2: for themselves. But a lot of us don't even know
- 23:36Speaker 2: who we are. We don't even love ourselves because there
- 23:43Speaker 2: are a lot of us. We have things that we've overcome,
- 23:47Speaker 2: things that we went through, things that was meant to
- 23:51Speaker 2: take us out. But yet we yet stand, yet, we
- 23:55Speaker 2: yet press. Yet we are still we were still here,
- 24:00Speaker 2: and we still fighting, and we have something to fight for.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Because guess what you got anotherother chance, you got another day.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Somebody didn't get this day. If we look at the
- 24:15Speaker 2: person that didn't get it this morning, that didn't get
- 24:17Speaker 2: to wake up this morning. Somebody didn't wake up this morning.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Somebody didn't get an extension of their grace and the mercy.
- 24:27Speaker 2: But if you're seeing this, if you're hearing this, whether
- 24:29Speaker 2: you're watching it live or as a replay, guess what
- 24:32Speaker 2: you're on the side of the living. You got another
- 24:35Speaker 2: chance to get it right. You got another chance to
- 24:38Speaker 2: pack lives. So what is it that you didn't do
- 24:42Speaker 2: yesterday that you can do today? What is it that
- 24:46Speaker 2: you can do better for you to make yourself better
- 24:49Speaker 2: than you were yesterday? And y'all, that's what we should
- 24:53Speaker 2: be doing every day. Every day we should be focused
- 24:56Speaker 2: on making ourself better then yesterday. We should always be
- 25:04Speaker 2: striving to be the best version of ourselves every day
- 25:09Speaker 2: that that should be our goal. My thing is I
- 25:13Speaker 2: want to lay down empty, so I give I pour
- 25:18Speaker 2: because I'm my thing. I believe that when I lay down,
- 25:23Speaker 2: He's gonna feel me up again. That's what I believe.
- 25:27Speaker 2: So I don't want to hold on to nothing. I
- 25:30Speaker 2: don't want to take nothing with me because guess what
- 25:33Speaker 2: if I don't, if I don't get to see tomorrow.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Did I do what he wanted me to do today?
- 25:41Speaker 2: Did I impact a life today? Did somebody see him
- 25:44Speaker 2: through me? Or did I take something that I was
- 25:50Speaker 2: supposed to leave in this earth? Did I take it
- 25:53Speaker 2: to the grave with me? Did it go to that
- 25:55Speaker 2: brown box with me? Because see, that's what's happening with
- 25:59Speaker 2: a lot of us. There's a lot of things that
- 26:02Speaker 2: He's placed on the inside of us that's supposed to
- 26:04Speaker 2: be coming out, but yet we sit down on it,
- 26:08Speaker 2: we hold it in. We're waiting on we're waiting on
- 26:12Speaker 2: somebody to do something for us, or we're waiting for
- 26:14Speaker 2: we're waiting for something to happen instead of trying to
- 26:17Speaker 2: make it happen for ourselves. Like it don't say it
- 26:20Speaker 2: in the Bible that he if we take one step,
- 26:22Speaker 2: he'll take two. But that's what we've been told. So
- 26:25Speaker 2: we have to believe that if we just step out
- 26:29Speaker 2: on faith. But we believe that if we have faith
- 26:33Speaker 2: the size of a mustard seed, that's how he want us.
- 26:37Speaker 2: The size of a mustle seed. Do you know how
- 26:39Speaker 2: big a mustard seed is? Now you need a microscope
- 26:43Speaker 2: to see a mustard seed. So he wants you to
- 26:47Speaker 2: have just that little faith. We can't have that much faith.
- 26:51Speaker 2: But yet we can get on a plane, we can
- 26:54Speaker 2: get on the bus. Some of us go dive in that.
- 27:00Speaker 2: We get out here on these on these little scooters,
- 27:04Speaker 2: we do all kind of other stuff. We get on
- 27:08Speaker 2: these bridges every day, go across these water We do
- 27:12Speaker 2: all this stuff that we have to put faith in
- 27:17Speaker 2: the things that we're driving, the things that we're utilizing,
- 27:20Speaker 2: the infrastructure, things like that. But we won't put faith
- 27:24Speaker 2: in the one that allow all this to happen. He
- 27:28Speaker 2: allow all this to happen. He allows us to have
- 27:31Speaker 2: cars here, allows us to have the the bridges to cross,
- 27:39Speaker 2: the materials. All that comes from him. That's why I'm
- 27:44Speaker 2: reminding when when he says and psalms one, look to
- 27:49Speaker 2: the hiss from what your health comings. When you look
- 27:52Speaker 2: to the hiss from what your health coming, you've looked there,
- 27:55Speaker 2: you see all If you just look out, you can
- 27:58Speaker 2: see all his green grass.
- 28:01Speaker 4: You can see all the trees, you can see all
- 28:05Speaker 4: of his magnificent work. You can see the animals. You
- 28:12Speaker 4: can see the birds, the bees, the fires of the heirs.
- 28:15Speaker 4: He said, if he will take care of them, why
- 28:18Speaker 4: wouldn't he take care of you? So you have to
- 28:22Speaker 4: believe that He was gonna take care.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Of you wherever you are. And you have to believe that.
- 28:29Speaker 2: So know that I pressed towards the goal of the
- 28:34Speaker 2: price of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
- 28:38Speaker 2: What is he calling you to do? What is he
- 28:42Speaker 2: calling you to do? What is your purpose? Why are
- 28:46Speaker 2: you here? That's what you should be doing, And that's
- 28:51Speaker 2: what's gonna make room for you, and he will make
- 28:54Speaker 2: your name great Proverbs eighteen and sixteen. He said it, say.
- 29:01Speaker 1: So.
- 29:01Speaker 2: The affirmation for today is I am committed to pressing
- 29:09Speaker 2: forward and faith beyond what I can see. Again, I
- 29:15Speaker 2: am committed to pressing forward in faith beyond what I
- 29:22Speaker 2: can see. I am committed to pressing forward in faith
- 29:31Speaker 2: beyond what I can see because the word tells us
- 29:36Speaker 2: that faith is not the substance of things that we see,
- 29:39Speaker 2: but it's the things that we hope for. And y'all know,
- 29:44Speaker 2: I ain't no theologians, so I'll be paraphrasing stuff so
- 29:47Speaker 2: that don't don't jump down my throat if I may
- 29:49Speaker 2: say something wrong, because I don't. I don't walk in
- 29:53Speaker 2: no office. I don't walk in nothing. I'm just a
- 29:55Speaker 2: child of guy that that that I share my experience
- 30:00Speaker 2: and the things that I've been through, and I am
- 30:03Speaker 2: things that I am taught under my teaching. So I'm
- 30:08Speaker 2: not an office holder. But I do like poetry, and
- 30:13Speaker 2: I do write poetry. I do share what is laid
- 30:17Speaker 2: in my spirit. So in this book, in this it
- 30:22Speaker 2: is called Beyond Sight, a thirty one day thirty one
- 30:27Speaker 2: days of empowering faith, affirmations and poetry. So it's a
- 30:31Speaker 2: thirty one day book. And the poem that goes with
- 30:40Speaker 2: this section is it says, with eyes on eternity, I
- 30:45Speaker 2: move past shadows of doubt, I prove beyond the scene.
- 30:51Speaker 2: I dare to dream, guided by Divine being. That's that piece, y'all.
- 30:58Speaker 2: That's that bise, and that is an affirmation poem that
- 31:02Speaker 2: I included for that section. So that is the affirmation,
- 31:10Speaker 2: that is the devotion for today, and it is called
- 31:14Speaker 2: it's titled Preparing the Hearts. The scripture was Philippians three fourteen,
- 31:18Speaker 2: I press on towards the goal of the price of
- 31:21Speaker 2: the upwork call of God in Christ Jesus. The affirmation was,
- 31:25Speaker 2: I am committed to pressing forward in faith beyond what
- 31:29Speaker 2: I see. And then the affirmation poem is, with eyes
- 31:34Speaker 2: on eternity, I move past shadows of doubt, I prove
- 31:38Speaker 2: beyond the scene. I dare to dream, guided by the
- 31:42Speaker 2: Divine Being. And that's that piece. So the additional scripture,
- 31:47Speaker 2: if you want to continue to study, you want to continue,
- 31:50Speaker 2: the additional scripture that you can add to what I
- 31:53Speaker 2: shared today would be I am forty and thirty one.
- 31:57Speaker 2: And that is that part. Oh listen for today, y'all.
- 32:03Speaker 2: That is that part of the section for today. So
- 32:05Speaker 2: I shared that I was going to share some poetry.
- 32:08Speaker 2: We did drop a poetry book in April. We dropped
- 32:13Speaker 2: it on my birthday, which was April the first I
- 32:16Speaker 2: celebrated fifty, So we celebrated my fiftieth birthday inside of
- 32:21Speaker 2: this book as well as National Poetry Awareness Month, which
- 32:26Speaker 2: is in April. We celebrated that along with twenty amazing
- 32:30Speaker 2: poets that wanted to allow their voices to speak. Some
- 32:35Speaker 2: of them shared poetry to celebrate my birthday. Some shared
- 32:40Speaker 2: poetry to honor me. And I'm gonna read a couple
- 32:43Speaker 2: of these poems today before we leave. I think we
- 32:47Speaker 2: have Cheannette that's on here. Shannette is one of the
- 32:50Speaker 2: hosts on the Crew podcast. She also shared inside of
- 32:56Speaker 2: this book, and I'm going to share one of her
- 32:59Speaker 2: poems that she wrote. Patrise is also in this book.
- 33:06Speaker 2: She is one of the hosts over on the podcast,
- 33:11Speaker 2: and she's on this morning too, So I'm gonna share
- 33:14Speaker 2: one of her pieces. I'm gonna share a couple of pieces,
- 33:17Speaker 2: but I'm gonna share their pieces because they are tuned in,
- 33:21Speaker 2: they are watching. But I'm gonna share a couple of
- 33:23Speaker 2: people a couple poems out of the book. Now, I
- 33:29Speaker 2: just gotta find them. Let me see where where Patrise said,
- 33:33Speaker 2: Patrice and Janette Chanette, y'all see, I have to look
- 33:42Speaker 2: in the in the in the what's the name too?
- 33:46Speaker 2: So here is one that Cheanette. This is one that
- 33:50Speaker 2: Channette wrote and again. Channette is one of the hosts
- 33:54Speaker 2: on The Crew podcasts. This is one she wrote on
- 33:58Speaker 2: February the twenty eighth. It says, Angela the Messenger and
- 34:04Speaker 2: the stillness of night. A whisper flows, a name bestowed
- 34:07Speaker 2: where the south light glows. Angela a messenger, appure and bright,
- 34:11Speaker 2: carrying wisdom like stars in the night, With every word
- 34:15Speaker 2: a truth to unfold, stories of courage, dreams to be bold.
- 34:20Speaker 2: She walks. She walks the path where the wires once dread,
- 34:24Speaker 2: with grace in her heart and light in her head.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Her laughter a melody, dances in air, a reminder that
- 34:32Speaker 2: kindness is always there in face of storms, she stands,
- 34:37Speaker 2: ever strong, her spirit a hymn, a beautiful song. For
- 34:41Speaker 2: wisdom is more than knowledge we gain. It's the love
- 34:44Speaker 2: that we share, the joy the pain in each gentle gesture,
- 34:50Speaker 2: in every embrace. Angela's the messenger, brings hope in this place.
- 34:55Speaker 2: So let her remind us as she journeys along. The
- 35:00Speaker 2: wisdom is found in the weak, ind the strong, and
- 35:03Speaker 2: moments we cherished, the lesson we learned. Angela a messenger, pure, bright,
- 35:08Speaker 2: carrying wisdom like a star in the night. And that's
- 35:11Speaker 2: that piece that was written by Jeanette Johnson. Again, she
- 35:17Speaker 2: is one of the hosts over here on the Crew podcast.
- 35:22Speaker 2: And again this is the anthology that that poem came
- 35:26Speaker 2: out of. I'm gonna read Patrice, let me find Patrice.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Now Patrice had a poem in here as well.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Uh.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I thought they said she was right here. But I
- 35:45Speaker 2: don't see you trying to find Patricia. Trying to find Patrice. Oh,
- 35:54Speaker 2: there she don't. So she wrote she wrote two pins
- 36:00Speaker 2: as well, And I'm gonna read the piece that's titled Grace.
- 36:06Speaker 2: It says Grace, it's a hush in temperest wake, a
- 36:10Speaker 2: gentle hand that will not break. It walks beside the
- 36:14Speaker 2: faint of heart, restoring hope. In every part. It's light.
- 36:19Speaker 2: It lifts the falling, calm and sure, a guided lights,
- 36:23Speaker 2: steadfast and pure, not one not bartered nor repaid, but
- 36:29Speaker 2: freely given, never swayed. Grace bends like branches in breathe,
- 36:34Speaker 2: yet stands like roots beneath the trees. It does not
- 36:38Speaker 2: count nor seek its deues, Yet clear'st path leads us through.
- 36:44Speaker 2: So when the knife feels long and deep and mercy
- 36:47Speaker 2: seems too far kept, grace will remain a beacon bright
- 36:53Speaker 2: a love that turns dark to light. That's that piece, y'all,
- 37:00Speaker 2: And that was by Patrice and it's called grace. It's
- 37:04Speaker 2: called grace because remember the book is called Crowning Glory
- 37:09Speaker 2: and it is a journey of grace and wisdom. So
- 37:15Speaker 2: that that was the book. That was a few of
- 37:17Speaker 2: the pieces that were shared on this inside of this book.
- 37:23Speaker 2: So I'm going to read what's on the back of
- 37:25Speaker 2: the book. So our ford was done by our Apostle,
- 37:32Speaker 2: and it says heartfelt gratitude to Apostle doctor Kimberly, for
- 37:35Speaker 2: gracing us with her wisdom and insight in the four
- 37:39Speaker 2: your words like the Path for Many. In honor of
- 37:43Speaker 2: Queen Angela's fiftieth birthday, which is I'm Queen Angela and
- 37:48Speaker 2: National Poetry Month, Crowning Glory is a vibrant anathology that
- 37:53Speaker 2: promises to be a collection no that promises to be

- 48:00Speaker 2: to hear some of this stuff that some of these
- 48:04Speaker 2: podcasters are sharing. We have nine hosts, so I'm sure
- 48:07Speaker 2: that they may want to hear something that one of
- 48:09Speaker 2: these nine hosts have to say, or even may want
- 48:13Speaker 2: to hear something that I have to say. Who knows,
- 48:16Speaker 2: but we want them to know that it's there, and
- 48:19Speaker 2: we want you to be able to share it out,
- 48:22Speaker 2: share it out. If you would please share it out,
- 48:26Speaker 2: we would love for you to share it out. I
- 48:30Speaker 2: see TikTok one started me on another challenge, so I
- 48:34Speaker 2: guess I am gonna have to stay on a little
- 48:36Speaker 2: longer because I see they got me over here doing
- 48:39Speaker 2: another challenge and I'm trying to participate. So I'm gonna
- 48:42Speaker 2: stay on and I'm gonna participate with them. So with
- 48:45Speaker 2: that being said, y'all. With that being said, I guess
- 48:49Speaker 2: that means that I can share another piece of poetry
- 48:53Speaker 2: with you guys.
- 48:56Speaker 3: So let me.
- 48:58Speaker 2: With the poetry. Look that and see what I'm on share.
- 49:03Speaker 2: So our new poet of the Year is Marcee Moore.
- 49:10Speaker 2: She is from Dallas and she is our new Poet
- 49:16Speaker 2: of the Year for twenty twenty five here Aspiring Author's magazine.
- 49:23Speaker 2: And she wrote how many poems did she do? She
- 49:27Speaker 2: did two poems. One was entitled why Me, and one
- 49:31Speaker 2: was entitled Challenges. And I'm going to read the one
- 49:35Speaker 2: called challenges. Love challenges you, pushes you to the edge.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Love builds you up with the right person by your side.
- 49:48Speaker 2: You both learned in the struggle, through the fights and
- 49:51Speaker 2: the pain, in the moments of doubt, wisdom is gain.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Love teaches you patience to hold your ground, to seek
- 50:01Speaker 2: peace and solace in each other. Love is not just
- 50:06Speaker 2: the highest, it's the lows. You both survive in every challenge.
- 50:12Speaker 2: Wisdom is gain. As your love mateers, wisdom grows bun rows,
- 50:17Speaker 2: making your love unstoppable. And that's that piece, And that
- 50:22Speaker 2: was done by Marsine M. Moore. It's called Challenges, and
- 50:27Speaker 2: she is the current Poet of the Year for Aspiring
- 50:31Speaker 2: Authors Magazine. She is out of Dallas. Y'all can check
- 50:37Speaker 2: it out on TikTok. She's on Instagram Marceine m Moore,
- 50:44Speaker 2: that girl Marsine. But this is her. Y'all want to
- 50:50Speaker 2: see a picture of her. I can't. Y'all can't see her.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Can y'all see your up there Facebook? Let me see
- 51:02Speaker 2: who else got a poem. Shania also did a poem, y'all,
- 51:06Speaker 2: so I can read one of the Shania's poem. Shanaria
- 51:09Speaker 2: is one of the Prayer Warriors. She's one of my
- 51:12Speaker 2: prayer besties over on the Servant Leader's prayer line. So
- 51:21Speaker 2: this is Shania. She's one of the prayer Warriors. She
- 51:24Speaker 2: just released a twenty one day, a thirty one day
- 51:29Speaker 2: devotional called The Warn Women and Men of Faith. It's
- 51:34Speaker 2: a thirty one day devotional. So she did two poems.
- 51:39Speaker 2: I'm gonna read the one called Grace many times today.
- 51:43Speaker 2: I will cross others a thirsh cross over a threstshold
- 51:46Speaker 2: a hope. I will catch a few of those times.
- 51:50Speaker 2: I need to remember that my life is in fact
- 51:53Speaker 2: a continuous series of thresh shows from one moment to
- 51:56Speaker 2: the next, from one thought to the next, from one
- 52:00Speaker 2: action to the next. Help me appreciate how awesome this is,
- 52:05Speaker 2: how many are the chances to be really alive. Help
- 52:10Speaker 2: me cross into the present moment, into the wonder and
- 52:13Speaker 2: to your grace and now this place where we all
- 52:18Speaker 2: are unfolding moments by moment by moment grace. And that's
- 52:24Speaker 2: that piece, so y'all. That was by Shania. That was
- 52:32Speaker 2: by Shania, That was by Shaniam, And then we got
- 52:49Speaker 2: a piece by L'chee. Luchae is one of the authors.
- 52:54Speaker 2: That's going to be in Chicago, and actually she's gonna
- 52:59Speaker 2: be on my show this Wednesday. I am going to
- 53:02Speaker 2: be doing a show over on the w b n N.
- 53:06Speaker 2: This is my show. I do a show over there
- 53:09Speaker 2: every four weeks on Wednesday, say, she's actually going to
- 53:13Speaker 2: be on the show. We're going to be sharing this
- 53:17Speaker 2: journey that she's on right now. And this journey is
- 53:23Speaker 2: that her baby she's two years old. Her baby is
- 53:26Speaker 2: two years old, and her baby is in currently in
- 53:30Speaker 2: need of a heart. She is currently on the heart
- 53:34Speaker 2: transplant list. We're going to talk about that Wednesday night
- 53:38Speaker 2: on the show. We're also going to be hosting a
- 53:43Speaker 2: fundraiser as part of US coming to Chicago on June
- 53:50Speaker 2: or fourteenth. See, sometimes the enemy get busy when you're
- 53:54Speaker 2: doing something positive, you're doing something good, you're doing something
- 53:59Speaker 2: that is beyond what you intend on. We intended on
- 54:04Speaker 2: going just to do a book event. We were going
- 54:08Speaker 2: to just support one of the authors that's a part
- 54:11Speaker 2: of the one hundred author movement. But when this baby
- 54:14Speaker 2: told me that her baby was still in the hospital
- 54:18Speaker 2: and was in need of a heart transplant, I felt
- 54:21Speaker 2: that if we're going there to do an event, why
- 54:26Speaker 2: not make it about helping this baby and bringing awareness
- 54:29Speaker 2: to this baby situation Because she said it was a
- 54:34Speaker 2: rare condition, you know, and she's never experienced nothing like this, so,
- 54:40Speaker 2: you know, I can only imagine what this baby's going through.
- 54:44Speaker 2: And then she got four other kids at home, and
- 54:47Speaker 2: I could just imagine what she's going through. So I'm
- 54:50Speaker 2: just trying to do my part to bring awareness. I
- 54:55Speaker 2: want to allow her to utilize the platforms that we
- 54:58Speaker 2: have here to be able to get this message out.
- 55:02Speaker 2: I've actually reached out to a couple bookstores, a couple
- 55:10Speaker 2: I think news stations so that we can share this
- 55:15Speaker 2: story because we need to get this story out here.
- 55:19Speaker 2: You have a two year old baby that is in
- 55:24Speaker 2: need of a heart transplant, and it can happen to anybody,
- 55:31Speaker 2: and we need to know this, you know. And there's
- 55:33Speaker 2: probably a lot of things that she don't know that
- 55:36Speaker 2: she probably.
- 55:37Speaker 3: Need to know.
- 55:39Speaker 2: And there's maybe somebody out here that has been through
- 55:41Speaker 2: this that could give her some advice or can shed
- 55:44Speaker 2: her in the right direction for resources and different things
- 55:47Speaker 2: like that. And see, that's why I keep telling people
- 55:50Speaker 2: the four seeds in life period, not just about a movement,
- 55:53Speaker 2: not just about a book, but the four seeds to
- 55:59Speaker 2: be in in all of our lives and every day.
- 56:02Speaker 2: And that's about connecting, collaborating, creating, in community building. We
- 56:07Speaker 2: we've gotten so far away from community and believing in
- 56:15Speaker 2: in in in this, in in in our community, and
- 56:17Speaker 2: trusting our neighbors. Some of us don't even speak to
- 56:21Speaker 2: our neighbors. How how can you walk past somebody every
- 56:24Speaker 2: day and live next door to them and not even
- 56:27Speaker 2: speak to them? Like I just I don't. I can't
- 56:31Speaker 2: for the likes of me get it, Like, really, what
- 56:35Speaker 2: what what possesses people like I understand? We be private,
- 56:39Speaker 2: We don't want people coming in our houses and stuff
- 56:41Speaker 2: like that. But speaking to somebody outside when you you
- 56:45Speaker 2: walk past the same breezeway, you walk past the same
- 56:49Speaker 2: side walk every day, but you will walk past each
- 56:53Speaker 2: other and not say nothing. I've had people walk past me.
- 56:57Speaker 2: I've said good morning, and they kept on walking like
- 57:00Speaker 2: they didn't even hear me. And we live in the
- 57:03Speaker 2: same apartment complex. When I lived in that apartment complex
- 57:07Speaker 2: in Murder Beach, I had this lady and she lived
- 57:09Speaker 2: right behind me. Every day her car. She parked her
- 57:14Speaker 2: car right beside my car. Every day I would speak
- 57:18Speaker 2: to her, and she would act like I would speaking
- 57:20Speaker 2: to myself. She looked at me and kept on going.
- 57:23Speaker 2: But the little kids had enough sense to speak. How
- 57:27Speaker 2: you as the parent won't speak, but the child speak.
- 57:34Speaker 2: I could be sitting on my porch, she can part
- 57:38Speaker 2: right in front of my door. She would get out
- 57:42Speaker 2: of her car, that baby be waving and she would
- 57:46Speaker 2: pull them and walk on right on past I. She
- 57:48Speaker 2: ain't like she ain't seen nobody, But every day I spake.
- 57:56Speaker 2: We gotta get away from that. We got to get
- 57:58Speaker 2: back to that that village mentality, and we got to
- 58:01Speaker 2: get back to caring about and loving our brothers and
- 58:05Speaker 2: our sister. That's one of the commandments. One of the commandments,
- 58:16Speaker 2: one of the commandments. But y'all, I'm gonna get on.
- 58:20Speaker 2: I don't know how much. I don't know how much
- 58:22Speaker 2: more time this things. Say, I supposed to be on here,
- 58:25Speaker 2: but it was like twenty minutes a while ago. How
- 58:31Speaker 2: do I How do I know, y'all, y'all, I I've
- 58:34Speaker 2: been away for a long time, so I don't know.
- 58:40Speaker 2: I just started getting back on live. I've been over
- 58:44Speaker 2: here doing other stuff. So I do a podcast, So
- 58:52Speaker 2: we have a post. So I have a podcast network,
- 58:58Speaker 2: and we have eight no nine, I'm sorry, we have
- 59:03Speaker 2: nine hosts on the network and we are all female network.
- 59:10Speaker 3: We are.
- 59:16Speaker 2: It's say my Live with end Oh. So I guess
- 59:19Speaker 2: I've been on It's say, unable to verify. Why you
- 59:23Speaker 2: can't verify? It's say unable to verify. Yeah, they tripping.
- 59:32Speaker 2: They just want me to get off the live because
- 59:34Speaker 2: they keep talking about they can't verify me when I
- 59:39Speaker 2: know them puzzle pieces was fitting the same puzzle pieces,
- 59:43Speaker 2: but they finally let me do one. But yeah, I
- 59:49Speaker 2: I'm gonna start going live on TikTok and just sharing
- 59:52Speaker 2: my Monday morning motivations and whenever I can remember, I
- 59:59Speaker 2: tried to post clips and stuff from our podcast over here,
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: so I do do that, so y'all do get content
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: from us. I just don't go live a lot, but
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: there is content. But I'm gonna do better. I'm gonna
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: do better. I'm gonna do better. Hopefully I can do
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: better over here and start doing some more stuff. If
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: y'all share with us what y'all would like for us
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: to show you guys more of some things that you
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: guys would like for us to do and present, maybe
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: we can start doing a little more of that, just special.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: If I knew how to scream, if somebody know how
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: we could stream live over here through a a third device,
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: like I'm live on my phone now, I'm live on
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: my laptop on a program, So if I could figure
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: out how to screen through the program, that would be lovely.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: So if someone know how to do that and don't
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: mind sharing that with me, please inbox me and share me.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Share with me how we could stream our actual podcast
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: through TikTok as well. I would love to do that
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: to be able to share with you guys a little
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: bit of what we're doing through the podcast. So if
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: somebody over there want to share with me, also substatic.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: I know we can go live on these different programs,
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: but only through mobile devices. I don't know how to
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: do it through the laptops, so if you know how
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: to do it through the laptop, please share. That's what
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: we do. That's one of the things that we do
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: with the Author's one hundred Author Movement. If you are
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: a author and you're looking for a author family, please
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: joining us. Join us. We are the one hundred Author Movement,
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: brought to you by Aspiring Authors Magazine. So definitely we
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: would love for you to be a part. So connect, Connect, Connect, Connect.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: I see Patrise over here. Let me see. Let me
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: see how I she must not be my friend m
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: because I can't. I can't, oh lesh go. I wanted
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: to see if I can bring her into live. At
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: least I can learn how to work that part. Work.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: I can learn how to work that part, y'all. I'm
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: gonna see if I send her invite. Patrice, I sent
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: you an invite to see if you can come in
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: alive real quick. I just want to see if you
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: can come in. You don't gotta you don't gotta really
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: say nothing or do nothing. Just see if you can
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: come in. I'm just trying to y'all know. I'm always
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: trying to figure out something, trying to see how something works.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: So y'all may see me testing out something in the
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: middle of a broadcast like I'm doing now. I see.
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: I don't know, I don't know what.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: I can hear you, but no, I can't see you,
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: but I can hear you, Thank God. I don't even
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: know how to move it to do anything, cause I'm
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: just I'm just learning how to do this. Honey, I'm
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: trying to get somebody just huh.
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: I'm home to da so I'm might have to figure
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: this out.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: It's too You.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: Can turn it on the camera, I guess if you
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: want to.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: But so it has like an expanded like thing, so
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: we actually can add some more people. So this may
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: be a good second way of doing some stuff. Like
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: if you wanna do like a a meet up or
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: something with some authors and you just wanna do it alive,
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: you can do it on your phone from your page.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: So you might wanna do a book talk or something like,
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: cause you can add more people. You can add more.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: You can add more people and stuff.
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: Yeah, show I don't have to work this morning.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's a holiday today, it's a holiday.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: I'm getting ready to go out here and get this grill.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: I got to go start this grill from my mom.
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: Trying to find and grow today. I don't grow, but
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: I'm trying to find somebody's grow.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Girl, you gonna you gonna grill? Are you trying to
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: You're trying to get a grill, trying to find somebody?
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Are you trying to go to a cookout?
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: I'm trying. Yeah.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: So I have Patrice on, so we're we're we're over
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: here playing with some technology. Y'all know, we always playing
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: with stuff. We always trying to explore stuff. We always
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: trying to do stuff. So I'm on TikTok. I'm live
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: on TikTok, and she came on the TikTok Live. I'm
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: screaming on my phone. So y'all probably wondering those that
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: are tuned in on Facebook and Twitch and on substat
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: one of my doing. But I am talking to Patrese
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: in case you can't hear me, and you're wondering what
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: am I doing? That's what I'm doing talking to patrise
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Patrisea is one of the hosts over here. So we
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: were talking about TikTok and we're just trying to figure
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: out some stuff. Y'all know we do that sometime, so
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: don't don't don't, don't pay us no mind. But always
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: we're gonna drop some nuggets in between all this that
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: we're doing. But no, it's always everything that we do
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: is always for the for the the bigger good and
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: for the bigger goal, because it ain't nobody else.
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: Of course, another guy I gotta do is get ready
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: for to morrow nights. You guys, I gotta show tomorrow nights.
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: I'll make sure to figure this out. Maybe I can
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: do a lot of personal TikTok and then you use platform.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Yeah I can't. I won't be able to see they
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: won't be able to see it. That's what I'm trying
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: to get them to figure out how to how to
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: do that, because you have to have certain in order
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: to do it on the actual thing, you have to
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: have some type of approvement. And it say I don't
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: have LinkedIn too, it say I don't have the the
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: the what's the name. So that's why I ask them, like,
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: what is it that you need to have? It says
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: that my account is not it's not approved for that.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: I have a business account, so I don't know what
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: it is. I don't know what I have a This
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: is a supposedly a business account. I don't know supposing,
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: but if you have to have some kind of what's
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: her name? Uh you are?
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: You are?
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: L or something?
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: I know?
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: With with LinkedIn, I don't try LinkedIn twice and I
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: tried with both of my accounts. I tried with my
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: author and I tried with my regular one, and it
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: does it says the same thing. Look at my author
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: for tomorrow night. Hey, who is your author?
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: Uh lord, I'm gonna say your name wrong. All I
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: know is last name is is Scott.
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: It's who is this trying to come on all things?
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: Who are you? Yeah?
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: I don't know who that was?
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: Gay Now we're very protective over here. Let's know.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: Somebody name Nadia, Oh my god, she usually is.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: On the podcast with SPA and huh d D.
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: Name starting to naja d D naga. Yeah, that's my
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: yes tomorrow night, yeah d D.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: Yeah. We'll figure this out.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: But yeah, it don't it don't let you you gotta have,
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: you gotta have something. That's why I ask them what
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: it was that you gotta have in order to do that.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: But they done started me on this, on this challenge again,
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: so I gotta stay on here ten more minutes. I'm
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: over here playing these challenges with these people. Cause they Honey,
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: they've been viewing y'all. They've been viewing y'all's clips. So
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: I I thank them for the support. So I'm gonna
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: keep on doing these challenges because they viewing the clips
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: and that mean they supporting the podcast. So you know, oh,
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: I only got seven more minutes. So for seven minutes,
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: we're gonna talk about the podcast and how y'all can
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: get involved with the podcast. You see how we just
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: randomly do stuff. So we do this all the time.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: So we may just say we're gonna have a conference,
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: we have. We do conferences. We even come out and
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: host red carpets. We come out and do events. Patrice
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: is the book reviewer for the magazine. She is the
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: director of the book reviews for the magazine. She also
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: is the founder and director of Sidelina Book Gap. As
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: you can see if you're on TikTok, you can see
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: her as South Carolina Book Gap, but she does amazing
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: book reviews. She also is a librarian. She works at
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: the Charleston County Library System. She's been doing it for
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: a minute, so she is well diversed and knows what
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: she's doing, so she can offer a lot of different
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: support in the area of book reviews. Don't just be
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: reaching out to her, just asking her questions and trying
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: to get pick her brain, because she ain't doing it.
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: She she works for full time job and then she
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: got a ten year old eleven year old how naya is?
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: She got a ten year old, so we ain't picking
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: brains for free. So if you want a book red
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: you that there's a small We got small fees for
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: book reviews, and she do good book reviews. I'm telling
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: you the kind that you will want to go post
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: on your pages on your outopage so people can see
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: these types of reviews. Also, there's opportunities for you to
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: be inside of the magazine by being by getting a
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: book review, she may feature you in the magazine, even
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: showing up being a part of her show. She she
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: has a podcast called South Carolina book Dad, So just
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: being a part of the show and being a part
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: of what she's doing could give you an opportunity to
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: get more exposure, to get seen in places that you
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: may not be seen in. No, I'm not gonna promise
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: you you finna get no million views and you finn
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: to get no all of that, but I can tell
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: you you will get seen, you will get heard if
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: you want to get those views. Exactly, you gotta share.
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: Did you share it there? Did you share your book reviews?
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: Did you maybe some type of of of advertisement or
- 1:12:20Speaker 5: some type of I give the self deal like.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: It don't take a whole lot and then all they
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: have to do is pick up the magazine. But if
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: they pick up the magazine, there's a lot of tips
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: inside of the magazine that that that share that show
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: them like different stuff that they can do. Like, people
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: want to know they got these books. Okay, what else
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: do you have to go along with the books? That's
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: there's about seven different other things that you can have
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: to go along with that book after you get that book.
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: So how many things do you have going with that book?
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: A lot of people don't even do that. They get
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: the book and all they do is post it in groups,
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: share it in groups and just going from group to
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: group and going from vendor event to vendor event and
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: just doing that. But what other things have you develop
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: You have you developed a yeah, have you developed a
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: speaking program? Like have you thought about doing a culture program?
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: Like if you have a chapter book, you can break
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: those chapters down in two weeks and you can do
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: you can do weekly stuff. I mean even if you
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: don't even want to do a paid culture program, you
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: can do a membership group and start your membership group
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: and get people to come in the group and doing
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: stuff in the group, like do stuff that you would
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: normally do, do exclusive stuff, like extra stuff, like stuff
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: that they only get by being a part of what
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: you're doing. Like sometimes you've got to learn how to
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: be be relatable, approachable, and people want to know who
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: you are. People could care less about these right here.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Sometimes people want to know you. They want to know
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: who you are, they want to know how you function,
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: they want to know you. And when they get to
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: know you, then they'll begin to buy these. They will
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: support these once they get to know you because then
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: now when they read these, they know a little bit
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: better about who you are and what you're doing. So yes,
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: it's crazy.
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: Because I mean people don't realize that.
- 1:14:24Speaker 5: Me personally, I will buy a book from an author
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: that I see promoting their books as in not just
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: posting and running, but saying, hey, what do you think
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: about this in my book? What do you think about that?
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: My character did this?
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: Would you do this?
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: If they engage me, I'm people willing to give that
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: book another book in a book before I.
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: Get somebody who I too, I know that can pop
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: off a good book in a minute.
- 1:14:48Speaker 5: Why because I see the hunger in this author, which
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: means it's something in their book that I really need
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: to catch or there's something in.
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: Their book that is really gonna catch me.
- 1:14:58Speaker 5: Right, I'm not saying that all every.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: That's what I'm telling them that I'm gonna have to
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: have you. I'm gonna have to bring you by the
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: real and raw Author's Lounge. And and yes, in July,
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: in July, we launch it in July. And it's only
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: gonna be on Mondays at ten o'clock when all the
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: kiddos is in the bed and you can you can
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: get your wine, you can relax, you can bring and
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: and it ain't just for one author I'm talking about.
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: We can have round tables. Everybody can bring their books,
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: we can talk about we can talk about their books,
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: we can talk about whatever. We can talk about whatever's
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: going on in the day. It's just a safe place
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: for us to relax and to talk about whatever it
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: is that we want to talk about. We may want
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: to talk about some erotic poetry. We may want to
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: talk about some some erotic books. Don't know, I don't
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: who knows we may want to talk about Because people
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: don't understand that everything play a part in in in
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: this world, and and and and everything has a place
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: because and not on that like some people like for
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: some people. You have to think situations also play a
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: part in the things that people do too. For say,
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: for example, you have people that are incarcerated and and
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: they have mates. You know that they have to come
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: up with creative ways to still fulfill their needs without
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: stepping out. So you you have to think about you
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: know that that's how a lot of this stuff come
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: in play too, because imagination is something else. Your imagination
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: is something else. I'm telling you what you will, and
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: I'm giving them a space. They gonna have a space
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: where they can come and play. They can come that
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: stuff that they that sometimes you can't talk about because
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: a lot of people and again, they don't want to
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: talk about essays, They don't want to talk about dm D,
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: d V, they don't want to talk about a lot
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: of that stuff. You know, people don't want to talk
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: about incests. No, they don't want to talk about that
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: in the normal settings because of the stigmas that they
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: may face. But night time they figure and that many
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: people listening, and that many people watching and that and
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: they can just be comfortable. And then those that would
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: be the time when you can really let your guard
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: down and really be yourself and you don't have to
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: worry about the shame of because some people sometimes they don't.
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: They don't want people to know that they write these
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: books because of how people may look at them, especially
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: in yeah, and the lights that they're in.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: Whereas you have to flip into.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: These names exactly. And then not only that, like I
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: told them, it's gonna be a space where if they
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: don't want to come on camera, they don't have to
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: come on camera. You know, they can be in the
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: comfort of their home, so they can have their lights
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: as dim as they won't. Just like you're sitting there now,
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: you wanna be dark because I was. I was on
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: there the other day. I was in the dark and
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: I just had my little light on and you could
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: barely see me. And that's how I'm gonna be on
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: the show when I come on. That's how I'm gonna
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: be on the show. So I'm letting people be comfortable.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: I'm letting them be them. I'm letting them share their space.
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: You know, you know you're gonna have them July seventh.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: We're gonna kick out July seven. That's gonna be the
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: first money day in July. I got a couple of
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: urban authors that's reached out, still just waiting for them
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: to to send the information and reply. But I'm opening
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: it's up for anybody that want to come. But I
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: just want them to know that it is an after
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: hour show. It's not your regular normal show, and it's open.
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: It's not just a one interview, a one on one interview.
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: It is a round table discussion. We discussion your books,
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: were talking about you know, whatever it is that we
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: feel like we want to talk about that all right now, Well,
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: I'm still gonna be trying to figure this out. I'm
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: still gonna be trying to figure out this desktop. Two,
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: I'm trying to figure out TikTok Substat on this desktop.
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: How I can screen both of them from the desktop,
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: because they do have features where you can go live,
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: because I'm live on both of them right now out
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: but I'm on the phones. I'm on one phone, one phone,
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: so I'm screaming on three different devices right now.
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: Will you guys, I have to go be mommy.
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I gotta go. My time is up. I don't
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: need get my seventy minutes. I don't did over seventy minutes,
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: So you guys, bye bye, byebye. Thank you for jumping on.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: Thank you TikTok, y'all, keep sharing, keep sharing, Thank you guys,
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: all right, Substat, thank you, and goodbye everybody. We'll see
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: y'all next week.
