Transcript
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to another great episode of Faith Builders.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: I am your host, Mickey, and with me is my co-host Trish.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: And today we are going to be talking about how we can build faith.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: And today we have an amazing topic, and that topic is sealed with the love of God.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: We're going to talk about the seals in the Bible, what they represent, what they mean.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: And not sure if you're aware of this, but the word seal or sealed or sealeth is actually mentioned about 60 plus times in the Bible, and it has a lot of significant meaning.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: And I'm excited to have Trish joining us, and she's going to be sharing a lot of information that she's been diving into the scripture.
- 0:56SPEAKER_02: Hi.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we've got a new year.
- 1:01SPEAKER_02: Yay, it is a new year.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:05SPEAKER_02: So should we pray?
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:07SPEAKER_02: Um, dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for this time that we have to speak about your word and to build up faith.
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: And God, I thank you.
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: And God, let the words from me and Mickey come from you and what exactly you want us to say today in Jesus' name.
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: Amen.
- 1:24SPEAKER_02: Amen.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: So we have been talking um before we started recording this morning about a lot of the different types of seals and their meaning and the signet ring.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: And it's really, really interesting.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Well, well, God's God's word always comes full circle.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: No matter where you start, where you finish, it always comes full circle to me.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Um, it always comes back to the cross, it always comes back to what Jesus did for us.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Um, there's so much meaning to it.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: And um it just shows God's graciousness and his love.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: But we want to dive in today and talk to you about what the seal represents, what it means, how important it is, um, who has the authority to seal or unseal or completely seal.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna talk about that today.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna let Trish start us off with that conversation because she has been doing a lot of homework for all of us today.
- 2:22SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: So um I've I'm in several different studies and they all are just kind of melted in together.
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: And um one of them is Daniel.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: Uh, I was teaching the kids about Daniel and the Lion's Den and how he was thrown into the Lion's Den, right?
- 2:43SPEAKER_02: So it's scary, you know.
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: And before that, there were um a couple kings.
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: One was Nebuchadnezzar, which was the writing on the wall one where he sees a hand and he turns afraid and he ends up dying.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: Um, that wasn't Nebuchadnezzar, that was the one after him.
- 3:03SPEAKER_02: I can't really remember his name right now.
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: Balshazzar is the one in the myth.
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: He was these are two bad kings.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: They wasn't really listening to God, and this these things happened.
- 3:16SPEAKER_02: So I'm thinking about all these terrible things that happened, you know, because they were not obedient.
- 3:22SPEAKER_02: And then you go to Daniel, who was very obedient to the Lord.
- 3:26SPEAKER_02: He submitted to the Lord.
- 3:28SPEAKER_02: He he was in, you know, his three friends got thrown into the fire.
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: Daniel never quit praying.
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: He prayed all day long, he was always committed to God.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: Well, he was in old age.
- 3:41SPEAKER_02: Um they uh King Darius was a new king now because the one had died, and he really favored Daniel and gave him a signet ring and put him in high honor.
- 3:57SPEAKER_02: So the government people and all the um men who were in authority, there was a bunch of them.
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: There was like a hundred and something of them.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: I don't know, I can't remember exactly how many, but they all joined together and they joined forces, and they didn't like the fact that he had more authority than they did.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: And he was overseeing them.
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: So they decided to make a rule, you know, like a decree.
- 4:25SPEAKER_02: Okay, you know, we need to have one day of so many hours that they would worship you.
- 4:32SPEAKER_02: And so King Darius liked the idea and said, Oh, sure, you know.
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: They stroked his pride, basically.
- 4:40SPEAKER_02: They're like, Here, let us stroke your pride and let us make you feel good.
- 4:45SPEAKER_02: And here you go.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: Isn't that what people do, right?
- 4:48SPEAKER_02: You know, they they give you something, a little of this, a little of that.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: And um, so they stroked his pride and he said, Okay.
- 4:54SPEAKER_02: And they said, now we got Daniel, because he never stops praying to his God.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: So if anybody was to pray against uh um uh not to to to the king, then they were be killed.
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: So they said, haha, we caught him.
- 5:12SPEAKER_02: You know, he was praying three times a day in this hour, and there they were like he was like, Oh, and he loved Daniel.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: And he's like, Well, I can't go back on it.
- 5:22SPEAKER_02: If you look at every king, when they make a decree, they have to follow through.
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: And even though they don't want to, they have to.
- 5:30SPEAKER_02: So um, he gets thrown into the lion's den.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: And my my I had this picture of the lion's den being like hell, okay.
- 5:40SPEAKER_02: Gnashing of teeth, and you know, these lions just tearing them, ripping them to pieces.
- 5:46SPEAKER_02: And to me, you know, you now the lion's den is like it was like a pit.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: So they would throw you in it and then cover it with a round stone and they would seal it, and then King Darius put his signet ring seal.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: The signet ring was an identification of who was in control and who was in charge, right?
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: So, isn't that funny?
- 6:09SPEAKER_02: A lot of people these days they want to be in control, they want to be in charge, and they they want to be a leader, they want to do all this, and but you know, God has the final say, right?
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: Even though they're trying to sometimes put their place in what God would want, is that what God would really want?
- 6:27SPEAKER_02: That's why we need to pray.
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: We need to pray to God, we need to take ownership when we need to take ownership, you know, and we need to prepare ourselves, you know, and we, because we are following Christ, are gonna be attacked.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: We have an ex on us, like, here I am, you know, I'm a Christian.
- 6:45SPEAKER_02: So um, Daniel was in the lion's den, and then King Darius woke up the next morning and was like, all of a sudden, he went with haste towards the lion's den and said, Open it, you know, and he wanted to see if God had delivered him out of the mouths of the lions.
- 7:06SPEAKER_02: And it does say that angels came and shut the mouths of the lions, and he was saved.
- 7:15SPEAKER_02: He wasn't eaten.
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: So King Darius was you know happy about that, and you know, Daniel lived the rest of his life out.
- 7:23SPEAKER_02: But um what a good story, right?
- 7:26SPEAKER_02: Of redemption and and being saved from the pit, you know.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: And I think about so many pits, you know, Joshua was thrown into it, or not Joshua, Joseph was thrown into a pit.
- 7:37SPEAKER_02: You know, we get thrown into our own pits, you know what I mean?
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: And some people, you know, it's it's like the greed, the idolatry, witchcraft, um, you know, all kinds of evil in this world can take you to um a form of a pit or depression, or you know, um anyway, a lot of sin.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: There's a lot of sin.
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: So what I'm saying is sin is an unrecognizable thing.
- 8:12SPEAKER_02: It's undescribable, it's unrecognizable, it's you can't explain it.
- 8:18SPEAKER_02: And when people paint a picture of sin on you, like they did to Daniel, oh, look at him, he's not doing what we're all doing.
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: Let's just paint a picture of him, and really they are all dead themselves, and their righteousness smells like death, you know.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: And so we go from there to um I'm I'm reading in Haggai, and um so before he talks about the seal, and this is just before we jump over there, let's talk about something real quick, if you don't mind.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: Um, because this is so good.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: I don't want to leave this part out.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: I love that you know, because we're talking about Daniel being thrown in the lion sin and it being um uh symbolizing like a place of hell and the gnashing of teeth.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: But the thing that I think is amazing is when God actually sent the angels to shut the lion's mouths, they prevented him from hurting Daniel.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: But it's funny because God supernaturally sealed them.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: They weren't physically sealed, like they weren't sewn up or glued or any of that.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: He he supernaturally sealed them after sending the angel to go and do that to protect Daniel and the lion's den because it was a divine intervention.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: So that's why you know God had to send the angel to seal their mouths because um wanted to protect them from the pit.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: Because if we go to the pit of hell, we're not gonna have that protection.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: We don't have that.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: So I want to make sure that we understand that like, okay, yeah, Danny, he got thrown into the lion's den, which is like a representation of hell.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: When we when we die and we go out of our physical fleshly bodies, and we end up going either to heaven or to hell, there's not gonna be an intervention.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: So I wanted to point that out.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: Uh course, Daniel is still alive, he's still on earth, he's still in his fleshly body, he's he's still alive.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: They in God allowed this intervention to happen.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: He had no physical injuries, he was found unharmed because he trusted in God fully, no matter what.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: So God sent a physical seal.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: You know, that's where they sealed up the the the pit because um and they placed it with the stone and they the seal on the wax and then the signet ring because they wanted a physical representation of what it would be like to seal something up, but that seal couldn't be held because God uh literally had uh a divine intervention with Daniel because he knew Daniel served him so faithfully.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: Does that make sense?
- 11:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the wages of sin is death.
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you exactly, and the wages of sin is death.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: So the the vision of of hell and those lines tearing you to pieces, that's what death looks like.
- 11:17SPEAKER_02: Oh, death wears your sting, right?
- 11:19SPEAKER_02: You know, and the wages of sin is death.
- 11:23SPEAKER_02: We can look, you know, a lot of times people can project onto you.
- 11:28SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you you this is just something I've gone through a lot in my life, and why I'm so passionate about it is I've been made to look like I'm the guilty person in so many situations.
- 11:43SPEAKER_02: And I'm not gonna explain into that, but it's like I wasn't, I didn't do that.
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: Like, why are they doing this?
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: And and basically, people that do that, I was hearing last night, and I was I was praying last night about it when people why do they do that, Lord?
- 12:00SPEAKER_02: Why do they do that?
- 12:01SPEAKER_02: And the Lord was showing me it's because they were never able to speak on their trauma or what happened to them, and then they they had no voice.
- 12:14SPEAKER_02: So a person that has no voice tends to do these things, you know.
- 12:19SPEAKER_02: So this is why we should pray for our enemies, because there's always a story, a backstory of why people have greed, why people do these against other people to make themselves look like you could put on a nice outfit, make yourself look good, you know what I mean?
- 12:38SPEAKER_02: And but does God give you a uh when when you're made new, does he give you a new dress?
- 12:46SPEAKER_02: Does he make you new?
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: Does he really make you new?
- 12:49SPEAKER_02: Or do you have this old dress and he put puts a few patches on it?
- 12:54SPEAKER_02: No, he doesn't.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: You're made new in Christ, and um this is something that I I I've struggled with because I always want to do the right thing, and then when I feel like I'm not doing the right thing, or if someone's saying something, then I I try to do what pleases them, you know.
- 13:12SPEAKER_02: But what I've learned is people are not easily pleased, okay.
- 13:17SPEAKER_02: Our righteousness is like filthy rags to God, and people are not easily pleased because they're not even they're not even doing what's right, right?
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: So then we go from there to Haggai, and in Haggai, it's there's a prophecy from Haggai, and he gives it to Zerubuel to encourage him, give him hope.
- 13:41SPEAKER_02: And um, he's the chosen governor for a unique, noble purpose.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: And he's they they he comes and says, Look, you haven't done what you were told to do, you know.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: And so they were exiled back in Nehemiah, right?
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: Way back then.
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: So they come back and they Nehemiah had remembered, oh, hello, and Jeremiah it said 70 years that we've been in exile 70 years.
- 14:09SPEAKER_02: Hello, why don't why aren't we going to you know go back to our own land?
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: We've been stuck out here striving and and you know, in in like a famine, basically.
- 14:22SPEAKER_02: So they go back to their land and they're happy, they're party having a big old party.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: They start the foundation, they built the foundation, you know, they did all this stuff, and they worshiped, they did sacrifices, they did all these things that they were not able to do, and then they got lazy, and then you go all the way to Haggai, and they're like, God's like, you haven't finished what I told you to finish, and then He gives them a warning what's gonna happen to them if they don't, you know, and it was pretty severe.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: It's like another picture of hell.
- 14:57SPEAKER_02: It's like you're gonna be destroyed, and immediately they went in straight obedience, and they took ownership and they didn't waver, and they built it.
- 15:10SPEAKER_02: And then um, this is where Zerubbabel gets honored, and God tells him that he would um be the final signet ring.
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: He is so God calls Zerubabel the signet ring, and that means he's the final signet ring, which he can do steals, he has honor.
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: You know, God trusted him.
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: And so then this was to set up the Davidic line coming to King David to Jesus.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: And now let's go to Jesus.
- 15:43SPEAKER_02: So Jesus comes and the lion and the tribe of Judah, Judah, the lion and the tribe of Judah, right?
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: The lion.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: So anyway, this whole thing just plays out in this beautiful picture movie in my head.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: And so then we go to um the Jesus who knew no sin, who wasn't a sinful person, who was pure as snow.
- 16:10SPEAKER_02: He was the perfect one, the perfect Lamb of God who was crucified and was blamed and shamed and beaten on a cross, and he was unrecognizable.
- 16:23SPEAKER_02: That's what it says.
- 16:24SPEAKER_02: He's not this, you know, picture with a few blood drops coming down.
- 16:28SPEAKER_02: No, he was unrecognizable.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: And when I think about that, I think, oh, that's a picture of what the lions wanted to do to David.
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: It's a picture of hell, it's a picture of being torn to pieces.
- 16:41SPEAKER_02: They said he was torn with a cat of nine tells.
- 16:44SPEAKER_02: He, you know, had the crown of thorns.
- 16:47SPEAKER_02: And recently I was in the doctor because I had um, you know, a lump.
- 16:52SPEAKER_02: And he says, Well, you want me to, you know, I had to go to the urgent care.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: And he said, Do you want me to excise it out?
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, Yes, please, it hurts, you know.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: And they put all this stuff out and they have this needle, and I'm a registered dental assistant, so I kind of know the gauges and what it was a big gauge.
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: It was like the biggest gate.
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: I'm like, really?
- 17:13SPEAKER_02: They're gonna use that big one anyway.
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: I was like, okay, just do it.
- 17:17SPEAKER_02: And so he was, you know, and I could feel it, you know, when it first started.
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: And I was like, is this what the crown of thorns felt like?
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: You know, like, and I just couldn't stop thinking about Jesus.
- 17:28SPEAKER_02: I couldn't stop thinking about what he did for me, and I was thanking him, you know, at the same time, and they got it done.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: Anyway, that's just a little side trip on my explanation of just a hint of what the crown of thorns were, because they were these big long thorns that were embedded into his skull, and you know, can you imagine?
- 17:51SPEAKER_02: I mean, your eyes, it would hurt you're sent, you're so sensitive on your scalp in this area, and your whole body is, you know, and so he was broken.
- 18:03SPEAKER_02: He was broken for us, his blood was poured out for us, and he was unrecognizable, nobody can recognize him.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: So then he's put on the cross, he says, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: This is why we need to pray for our enemies.
- 18:20SPEAKER_02: Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.
- 18:22SPEAKER_02: What are they doing?
- 18:23SPEAKER_02: And that and and currently I'm I'm praying for certain people.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: I'm like, you know what, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: They don't even know me.
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: They don't really know me because if they really knew me, they wouldn't be doing this to me, or they wouldn't, you know what I mean?
- 18:40SPEAKER_02: And so I'm right now resting at the Lord's feet, and God's just giving me so much blessed time with him that it it surpasses anything that I had before, right?
- 18:53SPEAKER_02: And um, so I say this because we all go through things, and I know what death looks like too, because I've I've seen people in my life that that I loved die in front of my face, you know, or dying in front of my face, or dead in front of my face.
- 19:17SPEAKER_02: And you can't get the the images, you know, it's the death is like it's like final, it's done.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna see them anymore.
- 19:26SPEAKER_02: They're gone, you know, but they're really not.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: We don't know where they are.
- 19:30SPEAKER_02: They could be in heaven or hell, we don't know.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: But I would rather them not be in the bad place, you know, and I don't have the final say on that.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: God does, he has the final say.
- 19:42SPEAKER_02: And when he when he was on the cross, he said, it is finished.
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: So then on the third day, okay, now the King Pilate, or there he was King Pilate, had done a signet as well with the with the wax and put his signature on the tomb.
- 20:00SPEAKER_02: Again, angels came and rolled this big stone away, and he was resurrected from the dead on the third day.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: That means you go to um that we too.
- 20:15SPEAKER_02: I am I'm just coming to my mind.
- 20:17SPEAKER_02: I know I didn't talk about this before with Mickey, but it just popped in my head about um Romans 8, where it says that we will be res, you know, it's like the resurrection from the dead is in us.
- 20:31SPEAKER_02: And I believe it's Romans 8, 11.
- 20:34SPEAKER_02: The resurrection of him is in us, right?
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: And um then I got another verse.
- 20:41SPEAKER_02: It's Philippians chapter 3.
- 20:44SPEAKER_02: We can count everything as rubbish that we might gain Christ and the power of his resurrection.
- 20:50SPEAKER_02: I don't know if I'm saying it exactly right, but it's in that chapter.
- 20:55SPEAKER_02: If you want to go back and read it, Philippians 3.
- 20:58SPEAKER_02: So the power of his resurrection, I feel is in me because he's showing me all these things that we are sealed and promised to him.
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: And you know, look at this.
- 21:09SPEAKER_02: We have rings, they're like a circle, it doesn't end.
- 21:16SPEAKER_02: It's eternity, it's it doesn't end, it keeps going, and so that's what eternity looks like.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: It looks like a ring, it looks like a marriage, it looks like we're going to be at the supper of the lamb.
- 21:32SPEAKER_02: And if you're not in your wedding clothes, you're gonna be down with the gnashing of teeth.
- 21:36SPEAKER_02: That's what it says, you know, and there's the the book of life, which Mickey was talking to me about earlier, is we're gonna be sealed in the Lamb's book of life.
- 21:50SPEAKER_02: Um, and she could talk on that a little bit later.
- 21:53SPEAKER_02: Then there's also Ephesians uh 1 13, where it says we are sealed.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: With the promise of the Holy Spirit.
- 22:03SPEAKER_02: So the Holy Spirit showed me all these things because I'm reading, I'm in all the the word, and his seal is with me because I got this the eternity seal inside of me, living in me.
- 22:18SPEAKER_02: And um I I was crying.
- 22:21SPEAKER_02: I was so excited about this.
- 22:22SPEAKER_02: I was like, it it's like I'm sealed with him, you know, and it's so amazing.
- 22:29SPEAKER_02: And I and I have another one in 2 Corinthians.
- 22:32SPEAKER_02: I think I sent it to you, Mickey, but I don't know if you have it out.
- 22:38SPEAKER_02: But anyway.
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: But my favorite is we're sealed with the promise of the Holy Spirit once we first believe.
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: That's the key point.
- 23:01SPEAKER_02: It says once you first believed, you're sealed with the promise of the Holy Spirit.
- 23:07SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, okay, I have nothing to worry about no matter how who paints an extra or tries to control me.
- 23:19SPEAKER_02: I'm good, I'm being controlled by the Lord.
- 23:21SPEAKER_02: And like like way back with Daniel, he submitted to God, you know, he was obedient.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: And, you know, this is a thing we need to realize is when we hurt somebody or when we do something that's not right, and we or we're trying to manipulate the situation, we should repent and we should take ownership.
- 23:44SPEAKER_02: You know, I've been lied about, I've been lied to, I've had all these things happen.
- 23:49SPEAKER_02: If those people would have only come to me to make amends or take ownership, you know what I mean?
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: And I've had some people actually do that, and now it's a beautiful um trusting friendship, you know, and then here I am preparing, you know, preparing for, you know, just reading the word.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: And I noticed that in the old testament, it's always a foreshadowing of what's coming because the old testament is old old manna.
- 24:17SPEAKER_02: It's, you know, like in the in the when Moses said, you know, take as much as you want, eat as much as you want, the manna from heaven.
- 24:24SPEAKER_02: Eat as much as you want, but don't take anything with you.
- 24:27SPEAKER_02: But they some of them did because they were they were trying to do it on their own and they were trying to save some for themselves.
- 24:35SPEAKER_02: And he was like, What's that smell?
- 24:37SPEAKER_02: What's that stench?
- 24:40SPEAKER_02: Smells like death.
- 24:41SPEAKER_02: It was moldy, it was rotten, and you know, the the old testament is good to see see the foreshadowing of what's coming, but the law, okay, the law is if you don't do all of this, A, B, and C, if you're one, you can be righteous your whole life and do one thing wrong, you will surely die.
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: You were dead, you're gone, you know, down to the pit you go.
- 25:13SPEAKER_02: And that that that's why Jesus had to come.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: That is why he had to come, because there was no one perfect, not one, not one.
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: And then for our future in Revelation, it says that there was no one found worthy to open the seven seals except the Lamb of God.
- 25:35SPEAKER_02: And we know who that is.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: That is Jesus.
- 25:39SPEAKER_02: He's the only one worthy.
- 25:40SPEAKER_02: It says there were also, you know, the tribe, the seals of the tribes are going to be open.
- 25:45SPEAKER_02: The, you know, uh, so the tribes are sealed, the um, and then there's 144,000 who are sealed, and you know, then there's the book, their book of life, which Mickey can touch on that anyway.
- 26:00SPEAKER_02: That's all I have.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: That's some good stuff.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: Um the book of life, like in uh Revelations 5.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: I don't have it pull up right in front of me, but Revelations 5, um, John finds the scrolls and they are sealed, um, talking about um who's in the Lamb's book of life.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: Well, nobody can open that, just like the seven seals.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: Um, only the Lamb or the line of Judah can open the book of life.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: And we know who that is.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: That's Jesus Christ.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: And um, it's interesting when we think about all of the seals and the fulfillments and the brokenness throughout the the the Bible because of us being born into our flesh um and becoming um we we lost our supernatural ability in the garden, obviously.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, because Adam and Eve they walked with God.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: And once they sinned, once that sin came, you know, to the earth, um the supernatural ability um had to go away.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: Um because now the now they're walking in a flesh fleshly realm.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: So the Lamb's Book of Life is full of eternal life.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: It cannot be touched by something fleshly, because our flesh has to die.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: So why would I mean if you think about that seal, why would God allow anything or anyone to open it that is not in the supernatural because of the fact our fleshly rotten unrighteousness cannot touch the Lamb's book of life because going on into eternity, it is life.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: And when we die, that that part leaves us.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: So it can't be carried over to the Lamb's book of life if you think about it.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: It's kind of an interesting perspective on it, take on it.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: But and I love that because we uh when we die, we get to leave all of that behind.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: And I don't know for you, but I know like when we talk about seals, um, you know, when you make a you know, sometimes you can even use a seal as a promise.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, people will say stuff and say stuff and say stuff, and it's just broken broken promises, broken promises, broken promises.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: And um I think it's interesting, like even Daniel and the lion sin, that that seal was set and then it was reopened.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: It reopened and reopened, and some of it for good reason because Daniel was chosen.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: Daniel was sealed through Jesus Christ because of God, so no man's seal could keep him shut in.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: And I love that because the final say is Jesus on the cross when he says it is finished.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: And I love that because we can let people try to seal us all day long, try to say, You're done.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: This is as far as you get to go.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: This is all you get to do, you're done.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: Nope.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: The only person who gets to decide that is God.
- 29:00SPEAKER_00: So we have to step back sometimes and take a look at our circle, again, a circle.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: And if we really want that covenant, that final seal of approval, we need to make sure that the people that we're hanging around with, the people that um um we're serving God with are people that are actually serving a God that's gonna give us the final seal, who's gonna seal us in the end.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: And as long as we're believers, I believe um if you've said the sinner's prayer and you've prayed it and you truly believe it.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: Now, sometimes the people will just say it and not mean it.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: They'll just they'll go to church, they hear the prayer, they say the prayer, and then they go home and it doesn't mean anything to them.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: That's not that's not a heartfelt prayer.
- 29:47SPEAKER_00: It's gonna, it's gotta change, it's gonna change your heart.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: If you really mean it, God's gonna know it and it's gonna change you who you are.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: And um I know for a lot of people that you know talk about you know being saved or not saved, well, or once saved, always saved, or whatever, we will get into that.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: It's another topic later, which we were gonna discuss that, but um, we'll work on that episode later.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: But as far as it goes, if you really want to be saved, you need to call on the name of Jesus and ask him into your heart.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: You need to repent, you need to be praying, be prayed up and be praying for others.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: Work on building up your faith, work on the scripture, read the scripture, and um look it up, figure out what it means.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: Um Like the signet ring, there is so much to it.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: Even Jezebel got to wear a signet ring, and we know what kind of evil she brought to the table.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: And you know why?
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: Even though she had the signet ring, it wasn't sealed completely.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: It wasn't sealed completely, because the only complete seal that we will ever ever have is Jesus Christ.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: And so people can put have you heard that expression, the stamp of approval?
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: You know, it's on our food, it's on our food from the you know uh the USDA boom stamp of approval.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: I don't know, some of our food.
- 31:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, go ahead and eat that.
- 31:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, right.
- 31:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like that.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: Let's go ahead and I'm approving that.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: That's how we are in the flesh.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: If you think about that analogy, think about that stamp of approval.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: You know, sometimes we approve things that we really don't we really don't agree with.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: I don't know about you.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: I've done it.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: I've approved on things.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay, I don't really approve of that, but I'm gonna let it go.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: I'm you know, I'm not gonna stick to my gun.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna, I'm gonna let it slide.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna, you know, and sometimes I think God wants us to um, if we're gonna give our seal of approval, it needs to be, you know, through what God wants us to approve.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: And sometimes we approve things in our lives that should not be approved.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: But um we end up traveling.
- 31:45SPEAKER_02: There's also the void stamp, you know, we could void out things too.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, blotted out.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: You know, in the Bible it says blotted out.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: That would be the void stamp where God blots, you know, blots it out.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: The sin is blotted out.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: And I and and thank God, thank goodness for that.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: Because, you know, if we didn't have our sin blotted out, what a mess we would be without Jesus.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: We'd be in such a mess.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, the world's already in a mess as it is, but we knew this going into the end times.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: We knew that um the Bible has already spoken about this.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: The prophecies are being fulfilled like so fast, right in front of our eyes.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: Um, it's actually kind of um an honor to me, I think, to be able to be a part of of prophecies being fulfilled.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: Although, you know, it's it's um not always uh fun to watch or see it happening and and unfold, but I think it is interesting to be a part of it.
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: But I honestly think that um our due dil due diligence in especially like this podcast is to uh you know really tell people about Jesus, tell Jesus, you know, or tell people that they need you know how to get Jesus in their heart, how to live for him, and how to um just be in constant prayer.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: It says that all you need is the faith of a mustard seed.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: You don't have to have a lot.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: You don't have to have a lot.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: There's a little bit.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: You know, I I mean I think we think we need more.
- 33:14SPEAKER_02: I was just given this a necklace, it has a mustard seed in it.
- 33:19SPEAKER_02: It's really special.
- 33:20SPEAKER_02: I had given somebody a Bible um over 20 years ago, and they found it fitting that I would have this because that's what I wrote in their Bible, and they came back to God and everything.
- 33:36SPEAKER_02: It's an amazing story of how just planting one little seed, and I got this little necklace to as a reminder of what God did for this person.
- 33:49SPEAKER_02: And um, I also wanted to talk a little bit about faithfulness.
- 33:54SPEAKER_02: What is faithfulness?
- 33:56SPEAKER_02: What is that?
- 33:57SPEAKER_02: What is faithfulness?
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: I I feel it's to be devoted to, like Daniel.
- 34:04SPEAKER_02: He was devoted to God in prayer and supplication, and you know, also, you know, faithful, be faithful to God, you know, stand firm on your faith, don't waver.
- 34:17SPEAKER_02: Even if it's just a little mustard seed, we can always go back and go, you know, we have this, we did all these things wrong.
- 34:24SPEAKER_02: You know, some some someone would sometimes says, Well, I'm not ready, I don't look right, I got things I gotta take care of before I step foot in a church, you know.
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: But God doesn't say he says, come as you are, you know, he says, Come as you are.
- 34:39SPEAKER_02: Yes, there are broken people there, just like us.
- 34:42SPEAKER_02: We're all going to this, you know, but find a good church where God is speaking through the pastor and who is, you know, has this.
- 34:56SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 34:57SPEAKER_02: I just know that I'm home when I go to a place where I feel the presence of God, you know, and it's not all about feelings either.
- 35:06SPEAKER_02: If I hear the presence of God, if I hear the word, if I hear grace versus works, you know, um we can learn to be Martha all day long, but I'm done being Martha.
- 35:20SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 35:21SPEAKER_02: I could take a bucket, put some holes in it, and pour water into it.
- 35:27SPEAKER_02: Is it gonna go anywhere?
- 35:29SPEAKER_02: When you're trying to be Martha and when you're trying to people please, and you're pouring and you're pouring and you're pouring all of yourself, all of yourself until you feel unrecognizable.
- 35:41SPEAKER_02: Is that healthy?
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: No.
- 35:43SPEAKER_02: Sometimes we need to go and just sit at the feet of Jesus and listen.
- 35:48SPEAKER_02: And um, and then you were talking about the prodigal son, too.
- 35:52SPEAKER_02: He also got a signet ring, and that and this reminds me of when we come home to God in heaven, we get that final, you know, eternity ring, you know.
- 36:05SPEAKER_02: Like we're I wonder if he's gonna give us a ring, to be honest.
- 36:08SPEAKER_02: I don't think I've seen anywhere that it says, but it said when the problem is.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: We're gonna get a ring.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: We are gonna get a ring, but it goes on our head.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: It's a crown.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: We're giving him crowns.
- 36:20SPEAKER_00: I'm like, we are gonna get a ring, it's just gonna be it's not gonna be on our finger, it's gonna be on our head.
- 36:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and and we we're represented as the bride of Christ, you know, for you know, so but I like this the the story of the prodigal because there are many prodigals out there and people who don't know God are prodigals, you know, and I just pray that they would stop, you know, pleasing the world.
- 36:49SPEAKER_02: You know, because when you try to please the world and do all these things, you're an unrecognizable person, you know, and you start to unrecognize, you know, the joy and everything that you were as a little kid, you know.
- 37:03SPEAKER_02: And when you come to Christ, it's like you're a new butterfly.
- 37:08SPEAKER_02: Okay, so butterfly, butterflies, okay, is like, you know, I'm not saying you are a butterfly, okay.
- 37:15SPEAKER_02: Let me just I'm just saying visually transformate, you're transformed.
- 37:20SPEAKER_02: God said you're transformed by the renewing of your mind in Christ Jesus.
- 37:24SPEAKER_02: Be transformed, right?
- 37:26SPEAKER_02: And how do we transform our mind?
- 37:28SPEAKER_02: We read the Bible, and to be trans, and but but do we have to do all these things and read the whole Bible top to bottom 10 times to be transformed?
- 37:38SPEAKER_02: No, it's an instant thing.
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: I watched this beautiful baptism the other day.
- 37:43SPEAKER_02: This lady raised her hand to say yes to Jesus, and they were doing baptisms too.
- 37:48SPEAKER_02: And they said, Is there anybody else?
- 37:50SPEAKER_02: And boom, she went up there and she got baptized.
- 37:53SPEAKER_02: I was like, whoa, that is just like when John the Baptist said they repented, and then they were baptized.
- 38:01SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 38:01SPEAKER_02: So it was like, boom, this happened.
- 38:04SPEAKER_02: The whole, you know, God got a hold of her heart from someone who invited her to church, and she's like, I need Jesus.
- 38:12SPEAKER_02: I know I need Jesus.
- 38:14SPEAKER_02: She raises her hand, she's repentant of everything.
- 38:16SPEAKER_02: She needed God, she needed that transformation.
- 38:19SPEAKER_02: She got instantly transformed and baptized.
- 38:23SPEAKER_02: I was just like, this is just the coolest thing.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: And this is how it is, you know, when the prodigals come home, God's like so excited, you know, and we've got his sign seal in the Lamb book of life.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: Like you were saying.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: Well, that's why the book is sealed.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: Because once it's unsealed, then the seal becomes ours.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: When we when we get accepted into the in into heaven, um after we face our judgment, which we're all gonna face.
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: I honestly believe that that's another step of us being sealed.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, Jesus sealed it on the cross when he said it is finished, and then the book was like the book is sealed until the time that we get to be with Jesus.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: And um you asked the question about faith, like what does faith really mean?
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: And we're talking about, you know, the mustard seed, but I wanted to share um Hebrews 11, one, it says, now faith is a substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: So imagine this.
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna just give you a little analogy.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: Um, when you plant seeds in your flower pot and you cover them up in the dark dirt, uh, are you just gonna assume they're gonna grow, or do you have to have faith for them to grow?
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: I believe we have to have faith for fruit to produce.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: It says that.
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: So as we're producing fruit, we have to have faith that it's gonna grow.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: Like I always go, Lord, I'm planting this garden, whatever comes of it, you know, I'm just gonna I thank you because I'm not a good gardener.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: I'm I I kill everything in the garden.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: I'm really bad.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: And so I've been getting better every year, but I still keep planting seeds with the hope and and having the faith that something fruitful is gonna come from it.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: And when we think about when we put our faith in something that we cannot see, we cannot see, God honors that.
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: He honors that faith because he knows that we are trusting.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: We we have air in our lungs right now.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: We can see it if it's moving, if it's moving something, or if we feel it on our skin.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: But like the air that we're breathing, I can't feel it, you know, other than when I take a you know deep breath and I think about it.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: God is the same way we can't see him, but he's omnipotent, he's everywhere.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: That's where that faith comes in.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: We have to have the faith that he is everywhere, he is for us, he is, he loves us, he wants us, he desires us, he wants a relationship with us.
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: And even though we can't see him, we need to have the faith.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: And all it takes is, you know, sometimes we talk about um, well, we got to build our faith, build our faith, and we do need to build our faith.
- 41:02SPEAKER_00: And as you become a Christian and you start reading God's word and you start putting a little bit of faith in God, and God rewards you with his promises that he says are in the Bible, your faith builds.
- 41:14SPEAKER_00: That's where the building of faith comes from, is getting that strength by putting out a little bit more faith, and then God fulfills a promise and a blessing.
- 41:23SPEAKER_00: Then you put out a little bit more faith, and God fulfills another promise and a blessing, and it starts to build.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: And then you start to see, and then you see a work of you know miracles, like like the lady that just decided, hey, I need Jesus right now.
- 41:35SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna wait, I want to get baptized.
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's amazing.
- 41:39SPEAKER_00: We don't see that every day.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: It's exciting.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: I get excited when you tell me stories like that.
- 41:43SPEAKER_00: I get excited.
- 41:43SPEAKER_00: I love it when I see it, and love it when I'm at church, and somebody gets hit with the Holy Spirit.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, it makes me want to jump out of my seat.
- 41:50SPEAKER_00: It makes me want to, you know, I'm just like, woo, and you know, I get all excited, but um, we need to be excited for God.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: We need to be excited for what God does for us because even in our mess, even as as rotten and unrighteous as we are and can be, He loves us so He loved us so much, He died for us.
- 42:08SPEAKER_00: And so we have to consider that when we're we're thinking about um where our faith lies and how do we build that up?
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: And we build that up by trusting what God's gonna do.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: And I know that one day God's gonna break that seal on the Lamb's book of life, and I want my name to be in it.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: I want my name in there.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: I don't want him to say, Depart from me, I do not know you.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: I want to be in that.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: And I'm not perfect, and I do I sin every day, you know, and I ask God to help me every day.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: And sometimes I I sin again and I do it again, and I'm like, oh God, you know, remember what Paul said.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: He goes, Why do I keep doing the same sin over and over again?
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: He talks about that.
- 42:47SPEAKER_00: Um that's why I love that when we go to Jesus and we get saved, we are sealed.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: We're sealed because of the cross.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: Like I said earlier to you about the validation.
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: Jesus validated us on the cross.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: We don't need validation from anyone in this world.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: Not one person.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: It's already done.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: I used to be a validator.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: I used to be one that needed validation.
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: And so I I was told one time, why do you need validation when Jesus went to the cross?
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: And I was like, huh?
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: And I was like, oh my gosh, you are so right.
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: Because he validated us that day, that moment.
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: I am completely validated.
- 43:22SPEAKER_00: And I don't need anyone else to try to validate me.
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: I'm already validated.
- 43:27SPEAKER_02: So it's it's it's yeah, God told me God told me God told me that too.
- 43:31SPEAKER_02: Like, um, I don't know, did I tell you that?
- 43:33SPEAKER_02: I might have told you.
- 43:35SPEAKER_02: Um, oh, I don't know, a few years ago, I was like, I just want validation.
- 43:40SPEAKER_02: I wanted my husband to validate me, and I was even telling him that.
- 43:44SPEAKER_02: And then God was like, I validated you on the cross.
- 43:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 43:48SPEAKER_02: And I was like, Oh, yeah, that's true.
- 43:51SPEAKER_02: And it's and the other thing is like rejection.
- 43:53SPEAKER_02: That's a hard one, too.
- 43:54SPEAKER_02: And I used to say, Um, but you don't understand, I'm rejected all the time, you know.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: And you I don't think you can understand you were only rejected three times, you know.
- 44:05SPEAKER_02: And I was thinking of Peter, you know, saying he didn't know God.
- 44:09SPEAKER_02: And then I got corrected again.
- 44:12SPEAKER_02: Every day, every second, every minute of the day, God is being rejected, you know, and we're not supposed to worship anything else but him.
- 44:22SPEAKER_02: And you know, I notice whenever I get into, you know, doing too much and pouring myself into that bucket that the holes are going nowhere, is where I'm like, I crash and I I burn out because I want so bad to still part of me still wants that validation.
- 44:41SPEAKER_02: And I was validated on the cross with his unrecognizable, you know, hurt that was put on him.
- 44:50SPEAKER_02: And you know, he rose on the third day, you know, and he he took the keys of death, he conquered death, he had victory over death, you know.
- 45:02SPEAKER_02: Even though we see it in the physical today, we see people die, and sometimes we get angry with God because it's like, why did this have to happen?
- 45:10SPEAKER_02: You know, I hate death, and I really do.
- 45:12SPEAKER_02: I don't like death, but the one thing that gives me comfort is nobody can take away the love I had for that person.
- 45:20SPEAKER_02: Love doesn't die.
- 45:22SPEAKER_02: Just because that person died doesn't mean you have to stop loving them.
- 45:26SPEAKER_02: You can still remember them and love them, but also remember what Christ did for you.
- 45:32SPEAKER_02: He said, Take these, take the bread and the wine and do this in remembrance of me.
- 45:37SPEAKER_02: So it gives a deeper meaning to what he did for us, the unrecognized, how unrecognizable he was, and how unrecognizable sin is when we sin.
- 45:49SPEAKER_02: We're not the the we don't we don't look transformed when we do that, you know, when we do the things that are not right.
- 45:59SPEAKER_02: And so, but God says we're we're you know, it's an instant transformation.
- 46:05SPEAKER_02: Once we first believe, we're sealed, you know, and like the butterfly, you know.
- 46:12SPEAKER_02: I don't know, I'm a little scientific person, but um one of the pastors I recently heard talked about, I said, I know all about that.
- 46:20SPEAKER_02: You know, I was thinking it in my head, and I had just gone to this butterfly sanctuary um a few days before, and I was so excited he was talking about butterflies, and especially the monarch, you know, like that's my favorite butterfly.
- 46:34SPEAKER_02: And they start out as a caterpillar going around eating all the leaves and everything, and um then they they're this fat little worm inside this little cocoon, and what happens to the worm, it completely crisps it's a chrysalis.
- 46:49SPEAKER_02: What it does, there's nothing left of it, and then it comes out this butterfly.
- 46:56SPEAKER_02: So there's nothing left of the caterpillar at all.
- 47:00SPEAKER_02: No identity, nothing that's on that caterpillar has transmitted to the new butterfly.
- 47:08SPEAKER_02: It's a brand new creation.
- 47:10SPEAKER_02: It it comes out with these beautiful wings, and then it actually excretes out a remnant of this red stuff that's part of the the caterpillar, and it looks like blood actually, but it comes out kind of watery and bloody, and it's like I'm you know, it's the old is gone, the new is come, here I am, this butterfly, you know.
- 47:33SPEAKER_02: Like, so I just say like we should we're new creation, you know, transformed.
- 47:42SPEAKER_02: Believe it, stand in it when when the enemy is trying to mess with you and trying to you know have people control you or people paint an ugly picture of you, stand in that likeness.
- 47:54SPEAKER_02: I'm a butterfly, you know, not a butterfly, but you know, I'm transformed, I'm made new.
- 48:00SPEAKER_02: I don't care what they say, you know, like what God says matters, you know, and He has the final say.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: I agree.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: I think we need to take ownership for what Jesus did for us, you know.
- 48:11SPEAKER_00: And I think about those thorns and um the scars from the cat of nine tells and the stripes that healed us because we put those stripes there.
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: We put them there with our sin.
- 48:21SPEAKER_00: We put them there with our our our attitudes and our behavior and our thoughts that are negative.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: Um, there's so many things that put those markings on Jesus.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: And when he took it to the cross for us because he loved us, it's just it's it's huge.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: It's so huge.
- 48:40SPEAKER_00: And um I'm I'm thankful.
- 48:42SPEAKER_00: I'm very thankful that Jesus died for me because I didn't deserve it.
- 48:46SPEAKER_00: I didn't deserve it at all.
- 48:48SPEAKER_00: And even though, you know, um you mentioned the rejection, rejection is a stronghold.
- 48:53SPEAKER_00: Um, and I share that in my other podcast, but um it is something that can be broken off from you.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: It definitely can be broken off, just like abandonment.
- 49:02SPEAKER_00: Abandonment and rejection kind of go hand in hand.
- 49:05SPEAKER_00: Um they're a little bit different, but they do um have similar meaning.
- 49:09SPEAKER_00: And Jesus never abandons us.
- 49:13SPEAKER_00: Never, ever, ever.
- 49:14SPEAKER_00: God will never abandon us ever.
- 49:17SPEAKER_00: Um, even like when Adam and Eve were in the garden, they went and hid.
- 49:21SPEAKER_00: You know, God's like, Where are you?
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: God already knew where they were.
- 49:25SPEAKER_00: But it's funny because he's like, No, where are you?
- 49:27SPEAKER_00: But he knew right where they were because he didn't leave them.
- 49:29SPEAKER_00: They left him.
- 49:30SPEAKER_00: They went and hid from him.
- 49:32SPEAKER_00: And so we need to stop hiding from God, and we need to run to the Father.
- 49:37SPEAKER_00: That song Run to the Father is such a good song.
- 49:40SPEAKER_00: We need to be running constantly to Jesus, constantly to God.
- 49:45SPEAKER_00: We need to stop running away, and when we make a mistake, what do what's the first thing kids do?
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: They lie about it or they go hide, right?
- 49:52SPEAKER_00: Let's hide the evidence.
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: Let's hide, you know, and even as adults, we we go shut ourselves in a bedroom or what we we go do some do things.
- 50:01SPEAKER_00: But God's there too.
- 50:03SPEAKER_00: You can't hide from God.
- 50:04SPEAKER_00: And it's funny because like I think about the Garden of Eden when they went and hid from God, and God's like, where are you?
- 50:10SPEAKER_00: But God already knew where they were.
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like when you know the kids hiding in the closet, you're playing hide and seek, and you're pretending like you don't know where they're at, so they can have a little bit of fun with it.
- 50:19SPEAKER_00: But um God wanted it to be a significant meaning.
- 50:23SPEAKER_00: So um he doesn't want us hiding from him, he wants us running to him.
- 50:27SPEAKER_00: And even if we make mistakes, his arms are still open to us.
- 50:32SPEAKER_00: He doesn't go, oh, nope, sorry, nope, no, not today.
- 50:36SPEAKER_00: You made a mistake.
- 50:36SPEAKER_00: Nope, you nope, not nope.
- 50:39SPEAKER_02: And you know, that's never gonna happen.
- 50:42SPEAKER_02: You did too much, like the like the prodigal son.
- 50:45SPEAKER_02: No, you know, he doesn't say you did too much.
- 50:47SPEAKER_02: In fact, it says that when he saw him far off coming towards him, he started running towards him, so he met him halfway.
- 50:56SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 50:57SPEAKER_02: And I think that's what God does when he sees our heart is surrendering.
- 51:02SPEAKER_02: It's like our a heart posture.
- 51:04SPEAKER_02: Our hot heart posture could be a heart as a rock and swelled with pride, or it could, you know, be a surrendered heart, you know, into submission and going like I need you.
- 51:19SPEAKER_02: And then and like God knows your heart more than anybody, and your heart starts leaning towards God.
- 51:24SPEAKER_02: It's like a you know, you're leaning towards him, and you're like, Oh, you know, I need something.
- 51:29SPEAKER_02: I I'm not I I can't do this life anymore.
- 51:33SPEAKER_02: And then that's when he comes in and he meets you halfway.
- 51:37SPEAKER_02: He's met me halfway so many times of my wanderings.
- 51:42SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm a runner, so I tend to run away.
- 51:46SPEAKER_02: I will drive in my car for days, and then I know the last time I did it, he was like, Stop.
- 51:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, don't do that again.
- 51:57SPEAKER_02: I'm like, ugh.
- 51:58SPEAKER_02: I like to do it.
- 51:59SPEAKER_02: I like to to me, it's better to not deal with anything, just run off, you know.
- 52:06SPEAKER_02: But then that's where he meets me halfway.
- 52:09SPEAKER_00: And I love that.
- 52:10SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 52:11SPEAKER_00: Um we we we often turn our backs on God and we um you know, we have a habit of um just going the other way because we're of our shame and our guilt, and we feel like there's no there's no turning back, there's no correcting this, there's none of that.
- 52:31SPEAKER_00: But God doesn't God doesn't look at us the way that we look at us because we look at us with fleshly eyeballs.
- 52:38SPEAKER_00: I call it we have fleshly eyes.
- 52:40SPEAKER_00: We we see things that are distorted.
- 52:42SPEAKER_00: Like he has the perfect vision where we have the distorted vision because we walk in a world and live in a world that is so corrupted with evil, and it's so um, you know, we get distracted and and we get distorted is is the best way I could actually just say it is that in that um you know it's it's murky.
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: It's like going into a dirty pond.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: You can't you can't see through it.
- 53:07SPEAKER_00: Um but God can see right through us, like you know, so we just we just need to be mindful that um, you know, we all we all um like in Romans um 323 it says it says, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
- 53:21SPEAKER_00: We all have sinned and come short of the glory.
- 53:24SPEAKER_00: All there's no one.
- 53:25SPEAKER_00: So when we think about you were mentioning earlier, and I wanted to touch base with this, when you're talking about how people, you know, make you feel um, you know, like like you're not doing your part or you're not good enough, or you're not this or you're not that.
- 53:41SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't even be worried about those people.
- 53:43SPEAKER_00: I'd be like, well, that if they want to think that, let them think that, and then go to God and be like, Lord, you know that that's not true.
- 53:50SPEAKER_00: Um, and you could ask God to hey, change their hearts, change their perspective, let them see what I do, do, let them see who I am.
- 53:58SPEAKER_00: Or maybe God doesn't want them to see who you are because maybe God's protecting you for a better reason.
- 54:03SPEAKER_00: And so sometimes we don't always understand why God allows things to happen, even.
- 54:07SPEAKER_00: And so, you know, like Job, that's that I mean, all day long we could talk about you know, the you know, uh the sovereign team of that story is huge.
- 54:17SPEAKER_00: Like I I I remember the first time I read the book of Job, I actually was kind of a little bit ticked off at God.
- 54:21SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Are you serious, God?
- 54:23SPEAKER_00: Why would you do that?
- 54:24SPEAKER_00: You know, why would you do that?
- 54:25SPEAKER_00: If you love us, why would you do that?
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: And and um he doesn't have to explain himself, but um, we learn a valuable lesson through his story.
- 54:33SPEAKER_00: Just like um we learn a valuable lesson when we mess up and God picks us back up and when he forgives us again and again and again and again when we don't deserve it.
- 54:43SPEAKER_00: When he went to the cross for us, you know, and we didn't deserve it, you know.
- 54:48SPEAKER_00: Um I just there's there's so much to it that I mean we could talk for days and hours and and hours and hours because I love to talk about the word, but we do need to wrap up and um um close out our episode.
- 55:01SPEAKER_00: But today's episode with being sealed, I I am just so thankful that God sealed um us by giving us his son Jesus to finish it on the cross for our sins, for our for our life and for who we are.
- 55:18SPEAKER_00: And worthy or not, if that's what we're thinking about ourselves, Jesus sees the value in us where we don't see the value in ourselves, you know.
- 55:28SPEAKER_00: And he loved us so much that he was willing to die for it.
- 55:32SPEAKER_00: So we need to think about that.
- 55:34SPEAKER_00: That we are we are sealed from the moment he died, and he said, it is finished.
- 55:39SPEAKER_00: And that's where we need to go.
- 55:41SPEAKER_00: It is finished.
- 55:41SPEAKER_00: When you when you get done with a project, I'm I'm just gonna throw this out there.
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: Let's say you're doing the dishes and they're all done, the kitchen's all clean.
- 55:50SPEAKER_00: Do you go back and try to do the dishes that are already all clean again?
- 55:54SPEAKER_00: No, because it's finished.
- 55:55SPEAKER_00: But why do we as people always go back?
- 55:58SPEAKER_00: We always go back to what's familiar, to you know, to the pain, to the trauma, to the to the problem.
- 56:06SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we're to the problem and we bring it right back and we tear off the scab.
- 56:11SPEAKER_00: You know, or the new dress the new dress, the new dress, and the new dress, that was a good analogy.
- 56:16SPEAKER_02: Put the old dress on with patches.
- 56:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 56:19SPEAKER_00: God doesn't do that, you know.
- 56:21SPEAKER_00: And we need to remember that going, we need to go forward and not backwards every single day.
- 56:27SPEAKER_00: You know, yesterday is gone, today is new, and tomorrow's not promised.
- 56:31SPEAKER_00: So take what you have and um hold on to it and just, you know, uh walk in it, walk daily in in God's word, in prayer, um, in worship, and God will strengthen you in your faith in that.
- 56:47SPEAKER_00: And I think that uh we will see our obstacles and our struggles and um things a little bit more differently when we start looking through the lens of Jesus instead of the lens of our murkiness and our distorted vision.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: Because when we see what what the Bible says what God sees in us, He says He tells us who we are and how we're worthy and everything.
- 57:08SPEAKER_00: And if we start looking through the lens like that, um we can cope and handle things and situations so much better than what we do, I think, sometimes.
- 57:17SPEAKER_00: And I forget, I mean, I'm not perfect, I do it all the time.
- 57:20SPEAKER_00: I forget too.
- 57:20SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh man, I and kind of like you know, like back in the day when it used to be like what would Jesus do moment, right?
- 57:27SPEAKER_00: That's what we should be doing every day.
- 57:30SPEAKER_00: Excuse me, is thinking about like what would Jesus really be doing?
- 57:33SPEAKER_00: Would he be getting mad at the situation, or would he just be like, all right, and you know, um handle it a little differ a little differently?
- 57:41SPEAKER_00: Or go to the Father and pray about it, like, okay, God, I don't know what you're doing here, but you do, you know what the situation is all about, so I'm just gonna put my trust in you.
- 57:50SPEAKER_02: So we can't we can't we actually can't we can't do anything right.
- 57:55SPEAKER_02: That's the thing.
- 57:57SPEAKER_02: What would Jesus do?
- 57:59SPEAKER_02: Sometimes I don't know what he would do.
- 58:01SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 58:03SPEAKER_02: So we we can't be we're not perfect, but we are transformed, and we have to go we have to stand in that authority that we are transformed by the renewing of our mind, and daily we go to the cross, we repent, and we stand in that.
- 58:21SPEAKER_02: Like, I can't perform this enough, I can't do enough, you know.
- 58:26SPEAKER_02: Um, that's like me pouring into that bucket that with the holes, you know.
- 58:30SPEAKER_02: Like I'm not going anywhere in that bucket, you know, but I'm going everywhere like a butterfly flying around all happy with Jesus when I'm standing in who he said I was.
- 58:42SPEAKER_02: He said, This is who I need you to be.
- 58:44SPEAKER_02: Now we all have gifts, like your gift, maybe a gift is faithfulness, maybe it's teaching, maybe it's you know, prophecy, maybe you know, we don't know.
- 58:53SPEAKER_02: Everybody has a part of every gift, I think.
- 58:57SPEAKER_02: Um, but even just remembering the word, you know, I think that's a gift.
- 59:00SPEAKER_02: Um, but there's there's people that can pastor, there's people that can, you know, do there that's why we all are one, you know, all together we we make a beautiful body for Christ, you know, and we should walk in the likeness of the transformation of a true body because it says um the eye is the lamp of the body, if it is good, the whole body is full of light.
- 59:27SPEAKER_02: But then when our eyes are fixated on you know, doing doing, being Martha, being perfect, people pleasing, you know, um, or the opposite, attacking other people because you want to look better than them, you know, and you want to paint yourself to look great and you know, strip off the dress that God gave them, you know, like like Cinderella.
- 59:51SPEAKER_02: I just had this vision, you know, when that when they tore her dress off, you know, and then those little mice made her a new dress.
- 59:59SPEAKER_02: Anyway, but um anyway, that it's like you know, you you don't take off the old dress and people try to strip it off, you know, but no, you've been transformed, you know, and and God it instantly your heart has gone towards him, then you belong to him.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_02: And we have to stand and believe that because I think that in our futile minds, we can all waver and go, I'm too far gone, you know, and these people don't approve of me anymore, and they don't love me.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_02: And are we seeking that love and that validation?
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_02: Do we really need it?
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, it's a it's a tangible thing we can touch.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we do want that approval.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_02: We do want that, but what's more tangible is the Holy Spirit.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_02: It's you can't touch it and stuff, but it's more tangible than anything in this world because of what he's been showing me and you this week about you know being sealed and you know him and who he, you know, his character, you know.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_02: And people like to paint an ugly picture of God too.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_02: Oh, God let my family die, or God did this, and oh, woe is me, you know what I mean?
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_02: And yes, I have a lot of woes.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_02: That's why my husband says, Whoa, man, you know, because I can see him doing that.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_02: Whoa man, what have you done?
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_02: Like and he likes to say that because that's what Adam did to Eve in the in the garden.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_02: Or no, uh no, it was God.
- 1:01:39SPEAKER_02: God said that.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_02: Woman, yeah, what have you done?
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_02: God said that to her because Adam was like, It's the woman you gave me.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_02: So he blamed God and he blamed the woman, and the woman was like, Woman, what have you done?
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_02: And God said to Sir, and she goes, Well, you know, no one made me do it.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_02: It was his idea, you know.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_00: That's so funny.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_02: Okay, just take ownership, yeah.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:03SPEAKER_00: I think a lot of times we have a hard time always taking ownership for what we do, but um I am I try to keep it in in my mind so that way I'm not putting blame on somebody else for something I'm doing.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_00: Um, because I don't I don't want to do that to people.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_00: I have in the past, you know, try to blame people for you know stuff, but we all we all have, you know, I think everyone's stepped into that.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_00: But um as far as today's um episode goes, um I'm like I said, I'm just really thankful for Jesus on the cross saying it is finished and sealing us into the Lamb's book of life.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_00: And I'm excited for that book, that seventh seal to be opened, and um when the trumpet blows and um we get to see Jesus face to face.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I can't even make imagine it.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_00: Like, you know that song I can only imagine, and so I'm just like, oh man.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_00: I the first time I heard that song in the car going to work, I like cried all the way to work with that song.
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_00: But um not sure where you went.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_00: Are you there?
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_00: I still see you there, but I don't see your face.
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_00: There you are.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_00: I didn't want I was like, where'd you go?
- 1:03:12SPEAKER_00: You're back.
- 1:03:13SPEAKER_00: But anyhow, I do want to close this out in prayer, and I just want to tell our listeners it's been another great episode of Faith Builders, and we did take a little bit of a break.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_00: Um, so we've had um a little bit um of time to study and um sit at Jesus' feet.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_00: Now we're back here sharing the Word of God with y'all so that way we can help build up your faith as God has been building ours.
- 1:03:37SPEAKER_00: We just love you.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_00: We thank you.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_00: Um if you need prayer, reach out to us.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_00: You can go to crushing strongholds.com.
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_00: Um, there's a place in there to sign up for prayer.
- 1:03:45SPEAKER_00: You can reach out in this um episode, wherever you're seeing this, whatever platform you're seeing this on, just send me a message and um um we will get back to you, either Trisha or myself, and we just thank you for being here and just know that you are sealed.
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_00: You were sealed the day that Jesus went to the cross.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_00: And so I'm gonna close this out in prayer real quick.
- 1:04:04SPEAKER_00: Father God, we thank you, Lord.
- 1:04:05SPEAKER_00: We thank you for what you did.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_00: We thank you for sending us your son.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_00: We thank you for Jesus who came and and and and walked walked the earth, Lord, and his ministry was so strong and so big, Lord.
- 1:04:17SPEAKER_00: And we just ask that you just help us to recognize uh all the things that Jesus did while he was here on earth, especially going to the cross and finishing it up so that our names could be sealed in the Lamb's book of life.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_00: God, we thank you for his blood.
