- 1:05Speaker 3: B drop my drop back drop drop. All right, guys,
- 1:20Speaker 3: welcome back. This is gonna be an exciting episode. Something
- 1:24Speaker 3: that is near and dear to my heart, something that's extremely,
- 1:28Speaker 3: extremely important.
- 1:30Speaker 4: So that's a smile. Within the first ten seconds it's
- 1:33Speaker 4: gonna be good.
- 1:34Speaker 5: I'm with it.
- 1:35Speaker 3: We did an episode. I forgot what number it was.
- 1:37Speaker 3: It was a while ago. No, it was content creation.
- 1:42Speaker 4: It was it was just me, twenty eight.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Something like that. It was we dropped two episodes one
- 1:48Speaker 3: week and it was like A and B. So yeah,
- 1:52Speaker 3: that second half of that episode was me talking about
- 1:54Speaker 3: content creation because they voted a lot of time to
- 1:58Speaker 3: learning about Instagram and content creation's.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Very important, take a minute, very important.
- 2:04Speaker 3: So this is our follow up. We bought an expert
- 2:07Speaker 3: in Nikki Saunda, So if you are familiar with her,
- 2:11Speaker 3: you've seen her on Instagram. She does a lot of
- 2:14Speaker 3: dope stuff. But my probably personal favorite thing that you
- 2:17Speaker 3: do is you take other people's content and you break
- 2:19Speaker 3: it down and kind of like explain it. Like so
- 2:21Speaker 3: you've recent to that with one of our videos. Thanks
- 2:23Speaker 3: appreciate that.
- 2:26Speaker 5: A lot, a lot of Miami vibes.
- 2:31Speaker 3: You did it with Circle CEOs event a few people
- 2:34Speaker 3: and so. But before that, Eric Thomas a legend in
- 2:39Speaker 3: the game, so branding and content creator, head of branding
- 2:45Speaker 3: and content for Eric Thomas. So you see E T
- 2:49Speaker 3: and you probably got introduced to ET on social media.
- 2:52Speaker 3: If now I'm talking about from general public. So you
- 2:57Speaker 3: probably got introduced them on social media through a clip
- 3:00Speaker 3: on Instagram, Twitter or whatever, and odds are Nikki probably
- 3:04Speaker 3: made that clip, right, So yeah, top of the line.
- 3:08Speaker 3: So Nicki is a master in content creation across all platforms,
- 3:12Speaker 3: and now she's stepping more out in the public, has
- 3:16Speaker 3: a podcast, more active on social media, growing a rapid following.
- 3:22Speaker 3: So this is going to be an interesting conversation on
- 3:25Speaker 3: how to build the brand online. Content creation is one
- 3:28Speaker 3: of these things that there's really no college course for.
- 3:30Speaker 3: So a lot of business owners, you know, are losing
- 3:33Speaker 3: out because they don't know how to not just business owners,
- 3:36Speaker 3: but just anybody, you know, artists, whoever wants to become,
- 3:40Speaker 3: you know, more popular on social media, they're losing out
- 3:42Speaker 3: because they don't know how to go about making content.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Or even if you're hiring somebody, you have to actually
- 3:47Speaker 3: have some level of knowledge because you could be hiring
- 3:49Speaker 3: the wrong person if you don't actually know.
- 3:52Speaker 4: It's not the heart and it takes a lot of time.
- 3:55Speaker 6: It's a specialty and so we should treat it that such.
- 4:00Speaker 4: And so boys and girls, yeah especially.
- 4:03Speaker 3: So, but iout further do thank you for joining I.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Appreciate it, appreciate having me, yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 3: For sure, for sure. So all right, so let's get
- 4:10Speaker 3: some backstory. How did you start in the content creation
- 4:14Speaker 3: and how did you start working with Eric Thollmas. So.
- 4:18Speaker 5: I was in the Navy for about like nine years, right,
- 4:21Speaker 5: and once I got out, I was in it didn't
- 4:24Speaker 5: really figure out like what to do, and of course,
- 4:27Speaker 5: like anybody else, like I saw an ET video, I
- 4:30Speaker 5: was like, who is this man yelling at me? Why
- 4:33Speaker 5: is he yelling? But I'm like so intrigued, right, Like
- 4:35Speaker 5: I'm so intrigued, what's happening? So I found out that
- 4:39Speaker 5: he had like an online community called breed University, and
- 4:43Speaker 5: I joined and I just realized that on on there,
- 4:47Speaker 5: like I had like a voice, Like I was posting
- 4:51Speaker 5: on the in the group, I was doing all these
- 4:52Speaker 5: videos this, that, and the third. I did all the
- 4:54Speaker 5: mashups and they were like, yo, the mashups are fire, right.
- 4:57Speaker 5: So for those who don't know what the mashups are,
- 4:59Speaker 5: it's like when you take somebody's voice and you put
- 5:02Speaker 5: like just regular video that goes along with it and
- 5:05Speaker 5: make it work.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Right.
- 5:06Speaker 5: So they were like, yo, uh, you're everywhere like you're
- 5:09Speaker 5: in all our events, you're in our group, Like you
- 5:13Speaker 5: want to try this social media stuff? I was like, sure,
- 5:16Speaker 5: I'm addicted to it, so why not? You know what
- 5:18Speaker 5: I mean? Like why not? But I started out with
- 5:22Speaker 5: like that serving kind of heart, which kind of transferred
- 5:26Speaker 5: to content creation because I realized that what was missing
- 5:30Speaker 5: with EA's platform was that he wasn't serving as much
- 5:34Speaker 5: as he does in real life. So when you look
- 5:37Speaker 5: at ease platform before, and what you normally see with
- 5:40Speaker 5: other people's platform is like a lot of flyers, a
- 5:43Speaker 5: lot of promo about self and things like that. We did, okay,
- 5:46Speaker 5: what do the people want? The people want to hear
- 5:50Speaker 5: him yell at you hit the bars, give us motivation,
- 5:55Speaker 5: and so I just created little clips like that over time,
- 5:59Speaker 5: and it went from like three hundred k to now
- 6:02Speaker 5: two point one million just on Instagram and like millions
- 6:05Speaker 5: on that just serving the people. And that's like normally
- 6:09Speaker 5: how I got started with just the serving heart.
- 6:12Speaker 4: So what's the timeframe?
- 6:13Speaker 3: Right?
- 6:13Speaker 6: Because you said it, yep, you were doing that, yeah,
- 6:16Speaker 6: and you came with adding value, which is important.
- 6:18Speaker 4: A lot of people don't realize like add value, give
- 6:20Speaker 4: value value.
- 6:21Speaker 6: At what point does ET recognize me like, who is
- 6:25Speaker 6: this young lady doing all these things?
- 6:27Speaker 4: I need to meet her. Let's sit down with her.
- 6:28Speaker 5: So I would say about like that first year, like
- 6:33Speaker 5: I said, I joined the community. But then when he
- 6:36Speaker 5: was at the events, when I tell you, my little
- 6:38Speaker 5: my little Honda was driving in every of these cities
- 6:41Speaker 5: that he was at, I was there just to serve,
- 6:44Speaker 5: and like I was on my phone recording, like I
- 6:47Speaker 5: just use what I had and I created the different
- 6:49Speaker 5: clips on my phone and he's like, who's this little
- 6:54Speaker 5: black and Puerto Rican chick? And CJ his right hand
- 6:58Speaker 5: everybody knows I have the kid. Like that's when I
- 7:01Speaker 5: was just like, I have everything fresh, and he was like, yo,
- 7:06Speaker 5: He's like I need a size fourteen. I was like, say,
- 7:08Speaker 5: let's like two weeks later he had the bread ones
- 7:12Speaker 5: and he was like, who are you hello? So he's like,
- 7:20Speaker 5: who are okay, yo, I'm a whatever you need, let
- 7:24Speaker 5: me know, right, And so I took I made sure
- 7:28Speaker 5: that not E was taken care of, but like his
- 7:32Speaker 5: right hand man and Carl which is his third right
- 7:36Speaker 5: and I just made sure like okay, what does the
- 7:39Speaker 5: community need? Does anything need to be uploaded? I have
- 7:42Speaker 5: an it background let's do that. And I was doing
- 7:46Speaker 5: it faster than majority of the people, so they were like,
- 7:49Speaker 5: stay right here, you're not going anywhere. What else can
- 7:53Speaker 5: you do? I was like, I like this. It wasn't
- 7:56Speaker 5: even that I was really good at it. It was like, yo,
- 7:57Speaker 5: I really like this, but I know this is miss
- 8:00Speaker 5: on the social media. It's like, okay, let's try that.
- 8:04Speaker 5: And he's like, well, he's always on the road. We
- 8:07Speaker 5: can't bring you. That's fine. You have seven years of content,
- 8:10Speaker 5: more than seven years of content. I could just reuse that,
- 8:13Speaker 5: and they're like you can. I was like, yeah, you
- 8:17Speaker 5: recorded it for a reason. So I just started clipping
- 8:20Speaker 5: up all the old stuff and making it look new
- 8:23Speaker 5: and till this day, like that whole pandemic that just happened,
- 8:28Speaker 5: Like he didn't hit the stage at all, and he
- 8:30Speaker 5: didn't lose a beat because we were posting three times
- 8:33Speaker 5: a day of just repurposing old content.
- 8:35Speaker 3: So repurposing very important. I'll talking about that. So you
- 8:40Speaker 3: have a level of background in like computer programming, So
- 8:46Speaker 3: all right, that's important because people, it's not like you
- 8:50Speaker 3: just came off the street. You know how to edit videos?
- 8:53Speaker 5: No, I didn't know how to edit video. The most
- 8:55Speaker 5: that I knew about anything about videos was music videos,
- 8:58Speaker 5: and I used to watch them religiously. I didn't I'm
- 9:01Speaker 5: just saying, how did you learn how to edit? I
- 9:03Speaker 5: just tried it, like I started with iMovie, like majority
- 9:07Speaker 5: of people I put. I just knew how to tell
- 9:10Speaker 5: a story, like if you could if somebody says, hey,
- 9:12Speaker 5: how are you doing, and you answer that you know
- 9:14Speaker 5: how to tell a story.
- 9:15Speaker 3: On the MacBook.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:16Speaker 3: So you know what's so crazy because I'm gonna talk
- 9:18Speaker 3: about you know, I still I still do our clips
- 9:22Speaker 3: and I edited, and you know, I don't know how
- 9:24Speaker 3: to use a computer.
- 9:27Speaker 4: What is a true story? I got him a computer
- 9:30Speaker 4: two years ago. I think it's still in the box.
- 9:33Speaker 3: I gave it to my son. So so I had
- 9:40Speaker 3: to do it on the phone, which actually helped me
- 9:42Speaker 3: because I'll talk about all these apps, but I had
- 9:45Speaker 3: to learn so many different apps because you could do
- 9:48Speaker 3: anything on your phone, and I learned how to edit
- 9:50Speaker 3: on my cell phone, which is obviously not the best
- 9:54Speaker 3: way to go about it.
- 9:55Speaker 5: But it's I will say it's the easiest. Because when
- 9:58Speaker 5: I was doing that for E for his events, all
- 10:00Speaker 5: his clips on from the events were from my phone.
- 10:04Speaker 5: I didn't there. Now we just got the rhythm to
- 10:06Speaker 5: where I can get on the Mac and everything like that.
- 10:08Speaker 5: But the first part was like get that, put it
- 10:11Speaker 5: in in shot, trim it up, put some words on it.
- 10:14Speaker 5: We keep it moving, Like I just speed kills when
- 10:18Speaker 5: it comes to social media. So like I'm that you
- 10:21Speaker 5: just started with the with the phone and stayed there.
- 10:24Speaker 5: I am mad at it because it's just easier and faster.
- 10:28Speaker 3: It is. It is, Well, all right, let's get it
- 10:30Speaker 3: to this conversation. There so different types of content, right,
- 10:34Speaker 3: Let's talk about the content that converts and actually has
- 10:36Speaker 3: an impact. Yeah, with every Thomas is at the two
- 10:39Speaker 3: million level. That's what we're trying to get to. So
- 10:43Speaker 3: what's what's the content that converts and has impact?
- 10:46Speaker 5: Authentic content? And that sounds very cliche, but at the
- 10:51Speaker 5: end of the day, the way the like the world
- 10:55Speaker 5: has been with social media and content and everything like that,
- 10:58Speaker 5: we just want to see you and we just want
- 11:00Speaker 5: to see what honestly you have to give and not
- 11:04Speaker 5: being sold to. So if you speak like so show
- 11:08Speaker 5: us speaking like what do you speak about? Show us
- 11:11Speaker 5: the important parts, like the first about three to five
- 11:15Speaker 5: seconds you need to get straight to the point. Don't
- 11:18Speaker 5: give me yo, weell my dog. I got a puppy
- 11:22Speaker 5: in Christmas, and in Christmas I was really sad and
- 11:25Speaker 5: no one cares. Yo, I got a puppy and it
- 11:27Speaker 5: like it flipped nine times, and here's it flipping. Like
- 11:30Speaker 5: that's the point of it. Show us that in the
- 11:32Speaker 5: first five seconds. So you know, when we're looking at
- 11:37Speaker 5: trying to create content that converts and that actually creates impact,
- 11:42Speaker 5: what is what is your genius? And show that consistently
- 11:47Speaker 5: for like every single day, not when I feel like it.
- 11:51Speaker 5: I got time for like three four times, like every
- 11:54Speaker 5: single day, because everybody's posting and everybody's nine out of
- 11:59Speaker 5: ten times is trash.
- 12:01Speaker 6: So when you're talking about clips that hit, I mean
- 12:05Speaker 6: obviously at a different level. Now, yeah, even and then
- 12:07Speaker 6: where there's certain analytics or certain numbers that you saw
- 12:10Speaker 6: that you reasoned were like all right, this is one
- 12:12Speaker 6: or was it just like all right, people are vibe
- 12:14Speaker 6: into us is being reposted, Like what were the analytics
- 12:16Speaker 6: that you used to say we're going with this?
- 12:18Speaker 5: So I honestly went based off what the people said.
- 12:21Speaker 5: So if we was to post about let's say, let's
- 12:26Speaker 5: say sports right a message of like keep going and
- 12:30Speaker 5: showing like basketball clips and like yo, I needed that
- 12:33Speaker 5: for the game. Yo, I didn't finish a chapter. And
- 12:37Speaker 5: I'm going based off the clips of what, based off
- 12:39Speaker 5: the comments of what they're saying in order to make
- 12:42Speaker 5: the next one. Like the analytics are cool for the
- 12:45Speaker 5: simple fact of age, range and interest and things like that,
- 12:50Speaker 5: but for a personal brand, like it goes more of
- 12:54Speaker 5: what the people want. And so instead of asking them,
- 12:58Speaker 5: I really pay attention to like even though we may
- 13:02Speaker 5: not respond all the time, I'm looking at it like,
- 13:05Speaker 5: what are you honestly saying about it? Did you feel it?
- 13:07Speaker 5: Did you not? And I'm not only going based off
- 13:10Speaker 5: the fires, I'm going based off the conversational wise in
- 13:13Speaker 5: order to create next week's content. So the comment section
- 13:17Speaker 5: is important. But if you don't get comments, do polls,
- 13:22Speaker 5: you know, like AB, like show what you want to
- 13:26Speaker 5: talk about two topics, make them, you know, pick real quick,
- 13:30Speaker 5: not the question box, but like just ABC, and then
- 13:34Speaker 5: create content after that.
- 13:36Speaker 3: And then also, I mean I think people get like
- 13:38Speaker 3: me personally. I never look at insights really yeah, I
- 13:43Speaker 3: never lot insights because I feel like there's no need to.
- 13:46Speaker 3: I could see what's popping based off of how many
- 13:49Speaker 3: views or how many like something gets. So I got
- 13:52Speaker 3: to look at it, like if I put a video
- 13:54Speaker 3: out and it gets a bunch of views, this is
- 13:57Speaker 3: kind of content that people are into. If I put
- 13:59Speaker 3: a video and doesn't get a bunch of views and
- 14:02Speaker 3: not into that kind of content.
- 14:03Speaker 4: So that's the tricky part.
- 14:04Speaker 6: Like you can have one that has views, but let's
- 14:05Speaker 6: say it has a thousand comments, because the content of itself.
- 14:08Speaker 4: That's why I said it's like a tricky.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Tricky what you mean, it's not tricky at all.
- 14:12Speaker 6: So if somebody's commenting on the post right and there's
- 14:14Speaker 6: a lot of feedback and it's not boxed, but it
- 14:16Speaker 6: only has six thousand views, so they're engaged. They didn't
- 14:20Speaker 6: have the same amount of like twenty thousand and forty
- 14:22Speaker 6: thousand views. So does that mean we shouldn't go in
- 14:24Speaker 6: that route anymore?
- 14:25Speaker 4: Direction?
- 14:25Speaker 3: My person, I'll let you answer. My personal strategy is
- 14:28Speaker 3: my personal ideas. It usually correlates with each other. Usually
- 14:34Speaker 3: you're not going to get a bunch of views on
- 14:36Speaker 3: something that doesn't a bunch of comments on something that
- 14:38Speaker 3: doesn't have a lot of views. Usually they go hand
- 14:40Speaker 3: in hand, and the whole point is to maximize the exposure.
- 14:44Speaker 3: So the more views, the more likes, that's going to
- 14:47Speaker 3: reach a wider audience. That's why the comments and the
- 14:51Speaker 3: views and the likes go hand in hand. So for me,
- 14:54Speaker 3: I mean, the easiest way is kind of to gauge
- 14:57Speaker 3: what are people most interested in by what are they
- 15:00Speaker 3: liking the most and what are they viewing the most?
- 15:02Speaker 5: But you're very aware of your content, see, so some
- 15:05Speaker 5: people need the insights because there's like a system that
- 15:10Speaker 5: go through. It's like platform audience in you, right, So
- 15:14Speaker 5: the audience part is where you need to look at
- 15:15Speaker 5: the insights because what about the saves? Like so if
- 15:19Speaker 5: you're on Instagram, the saves mean way more than possibly
- 15:23Speaker 5: the views.
- 15:23Speaker 3: And the shares too, yeahure.
- 15:25Speaker 5: And the shares, so that doesn't show off top of
- 15:28Speaker 5: like what you see, so you may have to hit
- 15:30Speaker 5: that view insight for that particular one or even you know,
- 15:34Speaker 5: in the overall insights and it says like you can
- 15:38Speaker 5: do the analytics and break it down to okay, if
- 15:41Speaker 5: I want saves, right, because that's probably what's going to
- 15:44Speaker 5: get you on the explore page. If you're if people
- 15:47Speaker 5: are saving it like crazy. Nine out of ten times
- 15:50Speaker 5: you have the right hashtags, nine out of ten times
- 15:52Speaker 5: you're probably on the explore page right. So if you
- 15:56Speaker 5: are trying to get the maximum reach, those are the
- 15:59Speaker 5: type of analytors that you kind of have to look at.
- 16:01Speaker 5: You looking at views and comments is more catering to
- 16:06Speaker 5: who you have right now, where like the saves and
- 16:10Speaker 5: the shares is going to cater to the masses.
- 16:13Speaker 6: This episode of Ernie Lisia is brought to you by McDonald's.
- 16:16Speaker 6: Proudly serving community since nineteen sixty five, McDonald's is more
- 16:19Speaker 6: than just a place to get tasty, affordable food. Over
- 16:22Speaker 6: the years, has become a staple in our community. It's
- 16:25Speaker 6: the place you're guaranteed to see teammates after a big
- 16:27Speaker 6: game because everyone is headed to Mickey D's win or
- 16:30Speaker 6: lose When I stop in for my morning breakfast of
- 16:33Speaker 6: three hot cakes and a hash brown, Seeing students using
- 16:36Speaker 6: the Wi Fi for their social media is all part
- 16:38Speaker 6: of the routine. It's become the epicenter of the community,
- 16:42Speaker 6: whether it's gathering for a birthday party and we've all
- 16:45Speaker 6: been to a McDonald's birthday party, or the place that
- 16:48Speaker 6: someone receives their first job, McDonald's grows with its patrons,
- 16:51Speaker 6: which makes it the go to place generation after generation
- 16:56Speaker 6: ba ba McDonald's.
- 16:59Speaker 4: I'm loving it.
- 17:00Speaker 5: So both of them are like, both types are very
- 17:04Speaker 5: very important for that. But I still believe your analytics
- 17:09Speaker 5: are going to give you the blueprint to your content
- 17:11Speaker 5: strategy because it's going to tell you exactly what the
- 17:13Speaker 5: platform wants, and it's going to tell you exactly what
- 17:15Speaker 5: your audience wants, because like for example, with Instagram, reels
- 17:20Speaker 5: is poppin' right. So you're going to look at the
- 17:23Speaker 5: analytics for which real actually did something good right and
- 17:28Speaker 5: duplicate that.
- 17:30Speaker 3: You know.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Whereas for the audience, you're going to look at how
- 17:34Speaker 5: many people's done the shares and the saves and the comments,
- 17:37Speaker 5: and you're going to duplicate that in order to nurture
- 17:40Speaker 5: them so they can stay there, because you get unfollows
- 17:43Speaker 5: every single day if you don't nurture that particular audience.
- 17:46Speaker 5: So like insight, and I'm not I'm not a big
- 17:50Speaker 5: fan of always checking analytics because I'm a very spontaneous person,
- 17:55Speaker 5: but I know the importance and I look at it
- 17:57Speaker 5: at least once a month because I got to make
- 18:00Speaker 5: sure that, Okay, am I making Am I playing the
- 18:03Speaker 5: platform game because at the end of the day, we
- 18:07Speaker 5: got to get the maximum reach? And am I playing
- 18:09Speaker 5: the audience game because I'm trying to build a community
- 18:11Speaker 5: and trying to keep them safe and heard.
- 18:15Speaker 4: No.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Yeah, So as far as growing a personal brand on
- 18:19Speaker 3: social media, right, let's talk about that. Because you have
- 18:22Speaker 3: a business, yeah, you can have a personal brand. You
- 18:24Speaker 3: can combine it to I think people kind of get confused.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Let's talk about personal brand please. What is some things
- 18:33Speaker 3: to do to grow a personal brand?
- 18:37Speaker 5: You have to show your genius, but show your human
- 18:41Speaker 5: side as well, right, so we have to know what
- 18:45Speaker 5: you're dope at, Like we're not we're not always interested
- 18:49Speaker 5: in fluffy. Like we love your kids, but we're not
- 18:54Speaker 5: going to share your kids.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Right, so no, no, no share kids.
- 18:58Speaker 5: That's kind of weird. It's kind of don't no no no.
- 19:03Speaker 5: I mean I mean like I won't share your kids,
- 19:05Speaker 5: like you'll share your kids and you like, you know, like.
- 19:10Speaker 3: We won't share the pot.
- 19:12Speaker 5: I like it because I like it, but I'm not sharing, right,
- 19:16Speaker 5: why would I do that? But they're cute, but like
- 19:18Speaker 5: I'm not putting it on my stories, like oh he
- 19:20Speaker 5: has cute kids. Like it's like, look at these kids, right,
- 19:23Speaker 5: look at them?
- 19:24Speaker 4: This so.
- 19:27Speaker 5: Okay, But then that's the theme. But that's the thing.
- 19:29Speaker 5: I see what you did, then I see it. No, no, no,
- 19:34Speaker 5: I see what you did there. But but that's if
- 19:36Speaker 5: you themed it out right, and then I'll get you
- 19:38Speaker 5: on the sneaker pages. But that's not that's a whole
- 19:40Speaker 5: different conversation, right, But like you have to when it
- 19:43Speaker 5: comes to a personal brand, we have to know what
- 19:45Speaker 5: you're dope at and there has to be content that
- 19:47Speaker 5: shows that and then kind of put in the human
- 19:51Speaker 5: kind of vibe because we want to connect with you
- 19:54Speaker 5: as a human. We want to know that you're not
- 19:56Speaker 5: just you're like, oh, that's a goal, Like I want
- 19:59Speaker 5: to be her or him at the end of the day.
- 20:01Speaker 5: That may be true, but I also want to be
- 20:03Speaker 5: able to talk to you. I want to also be
- 20:05Speaker 5: able to connect with you and join your programs and
- 20:09Speaker 5: feel like you're actually going to be there. You know,
- 20:11Speaker 5: there's some personal brands that we see that we're like,
- 20:14Speaker 5: I don't know if they answer their DMS. I don't
- 20:16Speaker 5: know if I reached their assistant. This that of the
- 20:19Speaker 5: third and the great thing about creating a personal brand
- 20:22Speaker 5: with like just that human connection. It's like, oh, you're reachable.
- 20:27Speaker 5: You're not typical influencer that just doesn't pay attention to
- 20:31Speaker 5: us after you have ten k followers. So by creating
- 20:37Speaker 5: the dopeness and the genius part first and then the
- 20:40Speaker 5: human side, it gives a great blend of like I
- 20:44Speaker 5: don't know what you do, but I want a part
- 20:46Speaker 5: of it.
- 20:47Speaker 6: So what's the line, right, Because I'm thinking like, after
- 20:49Speaker 6: you show the dopeness, to show the human side. Now
- 20:52Speaker 6: we blend after we've done both yet like a system
- 20:55Speaker 6: like you know what, I'm watching dishes, I'm going to
- 20:57Speaker 6: the kids, go to the park with my kids. But yo,
- 20:59Speaker 6: here's my like what's that funk s way of like
- 21:02Speaker 6: balancing those two.
- 21:04Speaker 5: So I always go with like setting boundaries, like first,
- 21:09Speaker 5: what do you what are some non negotiables of what
- 21:12Speaker 5: you'll post?
- 21:13Speaker 4: Right?
- 21:14Speaker 5: Like, I'm you may not be the one that wants
- 21:17Speaker 5: to post about your relationship. You may not be, but
- 21:19Speaker 5: then you may want to post everything about eating popcorn? Right,
- 21:23Speaker 5: So what is like two posts two dope posts about
- 21:27Speaker 5: your genius and maybe one about your human side or
- 21:32Speaker 5: create a whole feature like stories may just be of
- 21:35Speaker 5: your personal side, where you know, the feed is going
- 21:40Speaker 5: to be more of the highlights of you know, your genius,
- 21:43Speaker 5: of your craft and everything like that. So people are like, Okay,
- 21:46Speaker 5: I know what he or she does, and it's very
- 21:48Speaker 5: clear because when I go on your social media or
- 21:51Speaker 5: when I Google you, the content aligns with what you do.
- 21:55Speaker 5: But then when I get to know you, I'm looking
- 21:57Speaker 5: at your lives, I'm looking at your your stories, I'm
- 22:00Speaker 5: looking at maybe some of your reels, and that's more
- 22:03Speaker 5: of your personal side. So you kind of have to
- 22:06Speaker 5: find a feature that shows your personal side a little
- 22:09Speaker 5: bit more and that it completely blends with your craft.
- 22:14Speaker 3: So all right, So what about growing a business brand?
- 22:20Speaker 5: Now, that is where you really don't show anything personal like,
- 22:24Speaker 5: but in order the way the world is working right now,
- 22:28Speaker 5: you got to kind of put a face to a brand,
- 22:31Speaker 5: right for the simple fact the same reason why we
- 22:34Speaker 5: grow personal brand. We connect with people. We don't connect
- 22:36Speaker 5: with logos, we don't connect with just regular brands. We
- 22:39Speaker 5: connect with people. So if you show the people who
- 22:44Speaker 5: are working for you, if you're showing like more of
- 22:47Speaker 5: the behind the scenes of it, then that's giving more
- 22:51Speaker 5: of the human side as well with the business, but
- 22:54Speaker 5: you're going more focus on all right, what is the product,
- 22:57Speaker 5: what is the service? What is the stories behind the
- 23:00Speaker 5: products and the services? Not just saying hey, I got
- 23:02Speaker 5: water by my water. It's like the water was created
- 23:06Speaker 5: in order to help what pain point? You know? And
- 23:09Speaker 5: the pain points are the ones the pieces of content
- 23:11Speaker 5: that you're going to be showing instead of necessarily the products.
- 23:15Speaker 5: So when it comes to the business side, you're you're
- 23:18Speaker 5: catering to your audience through stories and through behind the
- 23:23Speaker 5: scenes of your employees.
- 23:25Speaker 6: So I mean on the business side, at what point
- 23:28Speaker 6: again with balance, because I feel like some people have
- 23:31Speaker 6: a business, Yeah, it just becomes overwhelming every five minutes,
- 23:35Speaker 6: stay in your face and it's like you lost me.
- 23:37Speaker 4: I'm on following right, So for that scenario, like what
- 23:42Speaker 4: is it is? It like?
- 23:43Speaker 6: All right, every three to four posts, we do something
- 23:46Speaker 6: about a product that we're doing, but we show them
- 23:48Speaker 6: the brilliance of our cost.
- 23:50Speaker 5: I mean, it depends on that particular business. But I
- 23:53Speaker 5: do believe with a balance of your customers, your employees,
- 23:59Speaker 5: and then your product, because you want to show who
- 24:02Speaker 5: honestly is using the brand, right, you want to like
- 24:05Speaker 5: people want to have that kind of testimonials. Want to
- 24:08Speaker 5: see like people interact and be highlighted. Like let's say
- 24:11Speaker 5: if you, you know, have a hat brand, other people,
- 24:14Speaker 5: you know, other people wearing the hats instead of the models,
- 24:16Speaker 5: like oh okay, I'll buy that, you know, so a
- 24:20Speaker 5: blend of actual people, uh, your employees, because it brings
- 24:25Speaker 5: that human connection and then the product kind of just
- 24:28Speaker 5: last but with a story still tied into the people.
- 24:33Speaker 3: So what are some ways to monetize content on social media?
- 24:37Speaker 3: That's a big that's a big one.
- 24:38Speaker 5: Oh where do you want to start? So yes, yes,
- 24:42Speaker 5: So I mean first it starts with you, right, You're
- 24:46Speaker 5: able to monetize your own content through literally just saying
- 24:52Speaker 5: let me put my cash app on my content, right,
- 24:55Speaker 5: because you'll be surprised. As you're serving and you're giving value,
- 25:00Speaker 5: people will want to bless you. And if you are
- 25:03Speaker 5: not providing a website or a way for payment, they're
- 25:07Speaker 5: just they're like, what do you want? Let me pay you?
- 25:11Speaker 5: Same thing? Right, So like if you were to just
- 25:15Speaker 5: put like your cash app, your PayPal, Vimeo whatever, first
- 25:18Speaker 5: and foremost, just really discreete that's one way of course,
- 25:22Speaker 5: being your own you know, having your own ads in
- 25:25Speaker 5: your content is another way. You know, if you're selling
- 25:29Speaker 5: a shirt, anything, sneakers, whatever, you put that in the
- 25:33Speaker 5: middle of your content. Don't allow the platforms to kind
- 25:36Speaker 5: of do that for you because you've already created an
- 25:39Speaker 5: audience and they're like, well, I'm watching fifty percent of
- 25:43Speaker 5: your content already. If I put it in the thirty percent,
- 25:46Speaker 5: I may you know, I may want this, So be
- 25:50Speaker 5: your own way of monetizing first. But then like with
- 25:54Speaker 5: different platforms, So Instagram has badges, they have reels, bonuses,
- 26:01Speaker 5: and they have uh instream ads. Right, So badges is
- 26:06Speaker 5: if you go live you have about like ten k
- 26:08Speaker 5: followers or above, and you go live on a consistent basis.
- 26:12Speaker 5: It's like a tipping system. So you have that reels
- 26:17Speaker 5: because it's really popping right now, they're giving creators money
- 26:22Speaker 5: to create reels.
- 26:23Speaker 3: How how you get paid the great reels?
- 26:25Speaker 5: So it's based off plays. So for example, if you
- 26:30Speaker 5: get nine point eight million plays, you get eight thousand,
- 26:34Speaker 5: five hundred, right, that's and they vary between bonuses, so
- 26:38Speaker 5: they're they're playing around with it as far as like
- 26:41Speaker 5: we'll give you ten thousand if you do this, we'll
- 26:43Speaker 5: give you you know, and each each real regardless of
- 26:48Speaker 5: how it does, it does perform, it does give you money.
- 26:52Speaker 5: It could be a dollar, it could be up to
- 26:55Speaker 5: five hundred dollars, but they do give you money for
- 26:58Speaker 5: each play that you have. Right, and then with longer
- 27:03Speaker 5: which used to be igtv is now Instagram video with
- 27:07Speaker 5: longer ones. That's where Instagram is trying to be like
- 27:10Speaker 5: YouTube and add their own ads to it and it
- 27:13Speaker 5: gets it gets money that way. So that's that's one
- 27:16Speaker 5: way from an Instagram standpoint.
- 27:18Speaker 4: So that would be like add cast for YouTube a sense.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, so it does that. Why because they're trying
- 27:25Speaker 5: to compete with YouTube, and they're trying to compete with
- 27:29Speaker 5: TikTok because TikTok has the creator fund. Once you've reached
- 27:32Speaker 5: about ten thousand followers over there, you get paid for
- 27:36Speaker 5: your tiktoks, So they're trying to do that. They also
- 27:41Speaker 5: actually all platforms, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube and TikTok have
- 27:47Speaker 5: kind of like a brand manager, So brands could go
- 27:50Speaker 5: into your profile, look at your analytics and see if
- 27:53Speaker 5: they want to work with you, and they'll say, hey,
- 27:55Speaker 5: create content and we'll give you this amount of money
- 27:59Speaker 5: and you'll be able to see all the brands that
- 28:01Speaker 5: are trying to give you different campaigns. So that's another way.
- 28:06Speaker 5: Facebook has about like seven different ways to make money,
- 28:11Speaker 5: Like they have instream ads, they have install articles, they
- 28:16Speaker 5: have bonuses for reels, they have subscriptions, they have stars,
- 28:25Speaker 5: they have copyright management, they have a whole lot of
- 28:29Speaker 5: things that people don't even know because they haven't even
- 28:33Speaker 5: logged into. A free tool called Creator Studio, Like Creator
- 28:38Speaker 5: Studio will allow you to see from a monetization standpoint,
- 28:42Speaker 5: how all your content that is being able to be monetized,
- 28:46Speaker 5: and it gives you like the different stats like if
- 28:49Speaker 5: you go live, you're instantly invited to do stars, right,
- 28:54Speaker 5: if you hit ten thousand likes on your Facebook page,
- 28:57Speaker 5: then it's like, okay, now you're able to do in
- 29:00Speaker 5: stream ads. Now you're able to do subscriptions. Now you're
- 29:03Speaker 5: like there's so many different tools and ways to monetize
- 29:07Speaker 5: on Facebook. All you have to do is just log
- 29:10Speaker 5: into create a studio and apply.
- 29:12Speaker 4: How does the article work?
- 29:13Speaker 5: You said, you just write it up?
- 29:14Speaker 4: Articles published?
- 29:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, So creative studios on Facebook like walk yeah, and.
- 29:21Speaker 5: The great thing it is also a scheduling tool so
- 29:25Speaker 5: you can schedule out all your Instagram and your Facebook
- 29:29Speaker 5: post on their stories, all that great stuff.
- 29:32Speaker 6: So I feel like, I mean, as the years of past,
- 29:35Speaker 6: it feels like Facebook has been like the old person's
- 29:38Speaker 6: like social media. Obviously we should be paying attention.
- 29:41Speaker 3: It's still the biggest platform.
- 29:45Speaker 4: If we're not paying attention to these things with you myself, So.
- 29:47Speaker 5: I think if we pay attention to what we will
- 29:50Speaker 5: get more rewarded because that's where the money is. Like
- 29:55Speaker 5: Meta is not playing like they want it, but they
- 29:58Speaker 5: understand it's where it's short form right now, it's you know,
- 30:02Speaker 5: YouTube is still killing it from a from a monetization standpoint,
- 30:07Speaker 5: So we have to do something. So let's od and
- 30:10Speaker 5: give you all all the money over here. But you're
- 30:13Speaker 5: not going to pay attention because you're on TikTok and
- 30:16Speaker 5: you're on YouTube, and you're on Instagram. And it's like
- 30:21Speaker 5: some people like Country Layne, He's he's known for making
- 30:27Speaker 5: six figures off of Facebook, right, not just Instagram, but
- 30:30Speaker 5: Facebook because he put his clips up and it was
- 30:34Speaker 5: doing numbers, and Facebook was like, you know what, We're
- 30:37Speaker 5: going to give you this check.
- 30:40Speaker 4: So in the YouTube sense, I know we got accents.
- 30:43Speaker 6: Yep, we got super chats or that any other strategies
- 30:46Speaker 6: to monetize.
- 30:47Speaker 5: They have merch and they have subscriptions.
- 30:50Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, gotcha.
- 30:52Speaker 3: So what are some tricks and tips for Instagram?
- 30:56Speaker 5: Okay, so let's start with hashtags? Right, So hashtags. If
- 31:03Speaker 5: people don't know hashtags, think about it, like, think about
- 31:06Speaker 5: it like blocks, right, each block has a certain amount
- 31:10Speaker 5: of people chilling on it. Right, the more hashtags you put,
- 31:14Speaker 5: the more people that you're going to be exposed to
- 31:16Speaker 5: because you're going on all these different blocks right now,
- 31:19Speaker 5: some blocks have about one hundred people on it and
- 31:24Speaker 5: some people some blocks have about one million people on it, right,
- 31:29Speaker 5: so you have to kind of be strategic with what
- 31:32Speaker 5: hashtags that you use. Now Instagram said use between like
- 31:37Speaker 5: three to six, right when they used to do thirty
- 31:42Speaker 5: and yeah, before it was like put it a whole
- 31:46Speaker 5: bunch of thirties at like thirty hashtags, do the highest numbers, right,
- 31:51Speaker 5: and put it in the first in your like the
- 31:53Speaker 5: first comment. Now they're saying do about up to six
- 31:58Speaker 5: to eight, right, and put it actually in your captions,
- 32:01Speaker 5: because what we're trying to do is keyword in there.
- 32:05Speaker 5: And so now once you type in a certain keyword
- 32:08Speaker 5: on Instagram search, now we're able to pick that up.
- 32:13Speaker 5: So people should be looking at about I'll say a
- 32:17Speaker 5: strong like six to eight going from why to narrow.
- 32:23Speaker 5: So what I mean by that is like one million
- 32:26Speaker 5: going all the way down to like ten k or
- 32:29Speaker 5: why because you want to go on the blocks that
- 32:31Speaker 5: have a lot of people, but then you want to
- 32:32Speaker 5: go on the blocks that have small people because those
- 32:35Speaker 5: are your specific audience, right and at the end of
- 32:38Speaker 5: the day, is not necessarily about numbers. Is about really
- 32:42Speaker 5: getting into your audience because those are the people who
- 32:46Speaker 5: are going to be able to convert. So six to'
- 32:49Speaker 5: eight and then using those like having about like I'll
- 32:54Speaker 5: say three to five different batches of hashtags. Don't use
- 32:59Speaker 5: the same one over and over and over again, right,
- 33:01Speaker 5: because that means you're just chilling on the same blocks.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Every shadow band, like I got shot.
- 33:07Speaker 5: Yeah, well so that so, but that is like controversial
- 33:11Speaker 5: because Instagram put out saying they don't shadow.
- 33:14Speaker 3: They got I got shadow band twice and.
- 33:16Speaker 5: And I know a lot of people who had.
- 33:18Speaker 3: What happened was years ago. You know, it was a
- 33:20Speaker 3: thing where you have like thirty hashtags and you just
- 33:23Speaker 3: copy and paste it and you know the hashtags, but
- 33:26Speaker 3: it wasn't. What happens with that is that, at least
- 33:29Speaker 3: back then it gets red flagged to spam. Yes, so
- 33:34Speaker 3: the shadow ban me. How I knew I got shadow
- 33:36Speaker 3: band A my engagement went down dramatically. But how I
- 33:38Speaker 3: knew I got shadow band It's like I typed in
- 33:39Speaker 3: a hashtag, put a hashtag on the post, typed it in, yeah,
- 33:42Speaker 3: and then went to it and then it wasn't there.
- 33:43Speaker 3: It was a unique hashtag that nobody would ever have,
- 33:45Speaker 3: like peanut butter and jelly or your leaves, like something
- 33:47Speaker 3: that is only my hashtag. So you type it in,
- 33:50Speaker 3: there's only should be one poster that shows up, but
- 33:52Speaker 3: there's no poster it shows up because the posts aren't shown.
- 33:55Speaker 3: So I don't think they've ever actually acknowledged that the
- 33:58Speaker 3: hashtag shadow bands are. But I can personally vouch that
- 34:02Speaker 3: shadow bands are well because I've been shadow band twice.
- 34:05Speaker 5: No, and it is like a real thing. But some
- 34:08Speaker 5: people instantly go and say that their shadow band when
- 34:12Speaker 5: it's honestly that their content just isn't working. Yeah, So
- 34:16Speaker 5: you kind of have to know the difference. So if
- 34:17Speaker 5: anybody does think that they should do what he just said,
- 34:20Speaker 5: which is like, use a specific hashtag and just see
- 34:23Speaker 5: if you pull up. If you do, you're not shadow band.
- 34:26Speaker 5: Your content just sucks And that's okay. That's okay. You
- 34:31Speaker 5: just got to be aware of it and just make
- 34:33Speaker 5: the adjustment.
- 34:33Speaker 3: But use hashtag that's relevant to the post, yes, and
- 34:37Speaker 3: switch to use the same hashtag.
- 34:39Speaker 4: I'm thinking like if you obviously ernest, what's up?
- 34:42Speaker 6: You ever walk into a small business and everything just works, like,
- 34:46Speaker 6: the checkout is fast, the seats are digital, tipping is
- 34:49Speaker 6: a breeze, and you're out the door before the line

- 37:30Speaker 6: See when we post a lot of things about business
- 37:32Speaker 6: and entrepreneurship, right if we just do a hashtager said friendship,
- 37:36Speaker 6: there's more people that have the friendship hashtag. Absolutely, you're
- 37:38Speaker 6: gonna probably bring that, But that doesn't even make sense
- 37:40Speaker 6: to put something like that.
- 37:42Speaker 5: No, because you're going to say you're gonna attract a
- 37:45Speaker 5: lot of people, right, but it's not what they want
- 37:49Speaker 5: and it's not the audience that you need because they're
- 37:52Speaker 5: not going to necessarily buy or share or anything because
- 37:56Speaker 5: you just got their attention for that one time and
- 37:58Speaker 5: that was it. Right, So you do want to go
- 38:01Speaker 5: more specifically what the content is and who you are, right,
- 38:05Speaker 5: because that's that's the people that you're looking for.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Now.
- 38:08Speaker 5: Is that a slower kind of pace? It is, right,
- 38:12Speaker 5: So you're going to get numbers, but you're not going
- 38:15Speaker 5: to necessarily get the numbers is if you did the
- 38:17Speaker 5: bigger hashtags. But in the long run, you make more
- 38:23Speaker 5: money that way. You get more impact that way by
- 38:26Speaker 5: using the correct hashtags than just going with Super Bowl
- 38:30Speaker 5: or you know, Throwback Thursday and things like that. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 38:35Speaker 5: and you don't have a dog.
- 38:37Speaker 6: But any specific hasht like a lot of times.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Spots take over your pape, oh god, like specific hashtags
- 38:44Speaker 4: to stay away from tot.
- 38:46Speaker 5: Them anything that's over two million. Anything like if you
- 38:50Speaker 5: look up a hashtag, it literally tells you how many
- 38:52Speaker 5: posts are in that particular hashtag. So if you go
- 38:56Speaker 5: and you check it, stay away from anything that's over
- 38:59Speaker 5: two million because the bots are instantly like, oh that's
- 39:02Speaker 5: where the crowd is, So let me go where the
- 39:04Speaker 5: crowd is. And if you're going to put that, I'm
- 39:07Speaker 5: going to flood it with Oh my god, let me
- 39:09Speaker 5: tell you about how much money I said I saved
- 39:11Speaker 5: with so and so and please no get away.
- 39:15Speaker 3: So let's talk about the most downloaded app last year,
- 39:19Speaker 3: the most popular app people under twenty one, I believe TikTok. Yeah,
- 39:24Speaker 3: so the importance of TikTok? What is some what are
- 39:28Speaker 3: some tips from TikTok? Because TikTok. The interesting thing on
- 39:31Speaker 3: TikTok is that is the newest out of all of
- 39:33Speaker 3: the major apps. Yes, so there's still a lot of opportunity, yes,
- 39:37Speaker 3: but more and more people is so the opportunity is
- 39:39Speaker 3: not going to be there ever. No, So what's your
- 39:41Speaker 3: thoughts on TikTok and what is some advice for people
- 39:44Speaker 3: that's trying to do TikTok?
- 39:45Speaker 5: So, TikTok is so addicting and so fun at the
- 39:49Speaker 5: same time. But I love how like the older crowd
- 39:53Speaker 5: is like, I don't know nothing about TikTok, but you
- 39:55Speaker 5: spend three hours on it, So I don't know what
- 39:57Speaker 5: you're talking about, right, You you the one scrolling. So
- 40:01Speaker 5: what's unique about it is that they actually award you
- 40:04Speaker 5: when you use your phone. Like, they give you so
- 40:07Speaker 5: many different effects and filters and everything like that. You
- 40:10Speaker 5: don't necessarily need a DSLR camera to create anything on TikTok.
- 40:16Speaker 5: Majority of the things that you see is created on
- 40:18Speaker 5: your phone. So when you're creating on TikTok, start with
- 40:23Speaker 5: your phone, right, you can do you can upload anything
- 40:27Speaker 5: you want, but start on your phone and use the
- 40:29Speaker 5: trending effects. So for example, if you're starting the new
- 40:33Speaker 5: year and they have like in twenty twenty two, you're
- 40:36Speaker 5: going to be doing this and it kind of flip
- 40:39Speaker 5: us that because everybody is doing that, right, and that
- 40:43Speaker 5: and the sounds as well, is what gets you the
- 40:47Speaker 5: most exposure. Filters and effects and sounds and eat that too,
- 40:54Speaker 5: that part too. But like any of the trending songs, ok, right,
- 40:59Speaker 5: so a lot of people are doing even if they
- 41:01Speaker 5: don't necessarily like the song, but they know that it's trending,
- 41:04Speaker 5: they're going to lower the volume, right, so the voice
- 41:08Speaker 5: you can still hear, the voice, still hear the point
- 41:10Speaker 5: of what they're trying to do, but they're maximizing on
- 41:13Speaker 5: the reach because they know that song is going to
- 41:15Speaker 5: be working. So if you do that and it's crazy
- 41:20Speaker 5: because like you could do just drop the water and
- 41:23Speaker 5: pick it back up and make a crazy face, and
- 41:25Speaker 5: you put the right song on it millions for no reason,
- 41:30Speaker 5: just because you know how to play the game of
- 41:35Speaker 5: trending effects, trending songs and I'm using the actual camera
- 41:39Speaker 5: because they're going to reward the people who actually use
- 41:41Speaker 5: the tools, because the platform spend too much time creating
- 41:45Speaker 5: this stuff. If you don't use it, they're like, we'll
- 41:48Speaker 5: screw you. I don't like you.
- 41:49Speaker 3: One good advice that I got for TikTok that actually works,
- 41:52Speaker 3: especially if you're doing educational content, Ye do the hook
- 41:56Speaker 3: like at the beginning of the video, like meaning like
- 41:59Speaker 3: if it's a sixty set TikTok video, like start the
- 42:02Speaker 3: video off of saying how to lose ten pounds without
- 42:05Speaker 3: working out yep, and then going to what you're saying
- 42:08Speaker 3: as opposed to just trying to say, okay, start off
- 42:12Speaker 3: with you gotta do cardio in the morning, and it's
- 42:15Speaker 3: like you say whatever and try to make it like
- 42:17Speaker 3: something that's really interesting. It's kind of like the equivalent
- 42:22Speaker 3: of you know, a headline on a news article. Yes,
- 42:26Speaker 3: you got to bigger than that, though you got to
- 42:28Speaker 3: just catch somebody's attention real quick and then it's like
- 42:32Speaker 3: now go yeah. And I've been studying TikTok and that's
- 42:35Speaker 3: one of the things that I've noticed, Like I said,
- 42:37Speaker 3: especially with educational content, like the kind of content that
- 42:40Speaker 3: we create or something like that, like it's important to
- 42:43Speaker 3: let people know what they're getting right now then go
- 42:45Speaker 3: into it.
- 42:46Speaker 5: People have short tensions ban nowadays, like it is what
- 42:50Speaker 5: it is, And even even on longer form videos, they
- 42:53Speaker 5: actually recommend that same kind of style of giving giving
- 42:56Speaker 5: them a hook. If you see some of the YouTube videos, YouTube, yeah,
- 43:00Speaker 5: YouTube will be like in this video, blah blah blah
- 43:03Speaker 5: blah blah, all right, let's get into today.
- 43:04Speaker 3: They take We started doing that actually recently, where you
- 43:07Speaker 3: take the highlight of the video. Yeah, and that's the
- 43:10Speaker 3: first ten seconds yep, and then the video starts yep.
- 43:14Speaker 5: That's that because that they know that in order to
- 43:17Speaker 5: create retention, I got to get to the point right away,
- 43:22Speaker 5: get there like, oh, this is what it's about. And
- 43:24Speaker 5: then you could get to that point maybe super later
- 43:28Speaker 5: in the video, but they already know what it's about.
- 43:30Speaker 5: They're going to continue to watch. So with TikTok, those
- 43:33Speaker 5: like how to do this? Did you want to know
- 43:37Speaker 5: five ways to do this? Like they're going to want
- 43:41Speaker 5: that kind of value in such a short amount of
- 43:43Speaker 5: time and it's going to work everything. But if like
- 43:46Speaker 5: you said, if you go all right step one, step two,
- 43:49Speaker 5: step three, step four, step one on about what I'm
- 43:52Speaker 5: going to scroll too, because I want to get to
- 43:54Speaker 5: what I want to know.
- 43:56Speaker 6: So for a business, right a brand? I noticed somebody
- 43:59Speaker 6: right now that's inthem like I've been trying to do TikTok.
- 44:02Speaker 6: It feels a little juvenile for me like that that
- 44:06Speaker 6: they counting that out as like, you know what, I
- 44:07Speaker 6: can't do it?
- 44:09Speaker 4: Obviously this is something you can do for yourself.
- 44:12Speaker 6: But how is the time requirement for somebody to put
- 44:14Speaker 6: out effective tiktoks? And is there a schedule of how
- 44:17Speaker 6: many times they should be posting on TikTok?
- 44:19Speaker 5: So of course the like the typical is bare minimum
- 44:24Speaker 5: once a day, but if you're really trying to blow,
- 44:26Speaker 5: it's like three times three times a day. Right, And
- 44:30Speaker 5: I follow this chiropractor crazy uses the trending sounds right
- 44:37Speaker 5: and literally just gets to the point where like puts
- 44:39Speaker 5: the mic and you hear the kind of thing. Yeah, yeah,
- 44:45Speaker 5: and it's been right and it's been blowing up. But
- 44:48Speaker 5: chiropracting is not sexy, Like it's not a it's not
- 44:52Speaker 5: an interesting topic. But if you do, like just what
- 44:56Speaker 5: people want to hear, Like they have what the ASMR
- 44:59Speaker 5: kind of the the sound thing they know, people want
- 45:02Speaker 5: to hear that. They want to hear the cracks, and
- 45:04Speaker 5: they want to hear the trending sound boom any. Not
- 45:08Speaker 5: all businesses have to dance, have to do the pointing
- 45:13Speaker 5: stuff for anything, but what you do have to do
- 45:15Speaker 5: is find the point of your business, highlight it, and
- 45:19Speaker 5: use something trending to it so it makes it sexy.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it's important. What do you feel about like titles,
- 45:26Speaker 3: Like people put titles on videos.
- 45:29Speaker 5: It's needed because once again, it's one of those things
- 45:32Speaker 5: that will keep your attention. I know exactly what it's about,
- 45:35Speaker 5: like I'm not guessing, so like titles and captions is
- 45:38Speaker 5: the easiest thing to do in order to create retention, right,
- 45:42Speaker 5: because I don't want if you don't have a title,
- 45:45Speaker 5: and if you don't have captions, that means I have
- 45:46Speaker 5: to like really watch you, right, and nine out of
- 45:50Speaker 5: ten times we're not watching it with sound on right.
- 45:53Speaker 5: So if we had sound, we may be able to
- 45:56Speaker 5: watch it longer, but we're only giving a certain amount
- 45:59Speaker 5: of time. Now, if you have a title and it's
- 46:01Speaker 5: saying how to do this, or the fire's bars from
- 46:06Speaker 5: so and so, I'm watching it right. But if you
- 46:10Speaker 5: don't have anything, I have to assume what it is.
- 46:13Speaker 5: And you don't want to assume. You don't want the
- 46:17Speaker 5: followers to assume what your content is. They need to
- 46:19Speaker 5: know right then and there in order to watch it.
- 46:23Speaker 3: That is a fact. It's very It's like newspaper or
- 46:29Speaker 3: anything a magazine. Imagine if a magazine never had any titles,
- 46:33Speaker 3: it just had words words in pictures, you'd be guessing,
- 46:37Speaker 3: like if you was interested in a picture, like if
- 46:39Speaker 3: you've just seen jay Z and you're a huge jay
- 46:40Speaker 3: Z fan, you might read it. But that would be
- 46:44Speaker 3: extremely difficult to retain people's attention if there wasn't titles.
- 46:52Speaker 5: And we have to look at what we like outside
- 46:56Speaker 5: of social media in order to improve our content. So
- 47:00Speaker 5: what I mean by that is like if we're trying
- 47:03Speaker 5: to promote something, and like we watch movies, we see trailers, right,
- 47:08Speaker 5: we see how they do like really quick, like an
- 47:12Speaker 5: action scene real quick, they'll show like the credits and
- 47:15Speaker 5: then they'll get to the story and that's it. Right,
- 47:18Speaker 5: The same kind of things with our content, like let
- 47:21Speaker 5: me see something right to the point, get to an
- 47:24Speaker 5: intro or something, because why because we've seen other media
- 47:27Speaker 5: outlets do it, and if we like it, then we
- 47:31Speaker 5: should do it ourselves. And what people do is just
- 47:34Speaker 5: they just watch other people's content and that's it. But
- 47:39Speaker 5: we have to ask every single day, like every at
- 47:41Speaker 5: least five posts, I go, why did I like this?
- 47:45Speaker 5: Why did I just comment on this? Why did I
- 47:47Speaker 5: just share it?
- 47:48Speaker 3: You know?
- 47:49Speaker 5: And then I try to execute on what I actually liked.
- 47:53Speaker 5: So if somebody had a title, I'm going to have
- 47:55Speaker 5: that kind of title, change the font, change the location
- 47:59Speaker 5: of it, because I'm not trying to copy it, right,
- 48:01Speaker 5: but I like the idea of it. Or Okay, this
- 48:05Speaker 5: person did like shortcuts real quick, so it changed from
- 48:09Speaker 5: you to you to the main person real quick fast.
- 48:12Speaker 5: To keep my attention, I'm going to try to do
- 48:14Speaker 5: that as well, because I know, looking at a person
- 48:17Speaker 5: for too long, I'm going to lose interest. And so
- 48:22Speaker 5: how do I make sure even though I'm talking, I
- 48:25Speaker 5: change different angles side by side by side. Why Because
- 48:28Speaker 5: I've seen it on music videos, I've seen it in movies,
- 48:31Speaker 5: I've seen it in this So you got to look
- 48:33Speaker 5: at content not only from a consumer side, but how
- 48:37Speaker 5: do I produce exactly that? Because if I like it,
- 48:41Speaker 5: at least one hundred other people like what I like.
- 48:45Speaker 6: As you were saying it, I'm thinking, like I just watching,
- 48:47Speaker 6: don't look up. The movie is playing for like five
- 48:49Speaker 6: minutes before the title even comes out, Like damn, We've
- 48:53Speaker 6: been trained this whole time in movies.
- 48:55Speaker 4: We just weren't looking at it like that's content.
- 48:57Speaker 5: Yeah, it is.
- 48:58Speaker 6: I got a question for like a brand or somebody,
- 49:02Speaker 6: what application should they be on in level of importance?
- 49:05Speaker 6: And obviously Facebook is number one. Yeah, but if we're
- 49:07Speaker 6: building a brand building business, what are the application we
- 49:09Speaker 6: should be on?
- 49:10Speaker 4: Definitely?
- 49:11Speaker 5: So I think it really depends on who you are, right,
- 49:14Speaker 5: Because I'm really big on understanding who you are to
- 49:19Speaker 5: create content, So I always break it down into something
- 49:22Speaker 5: simple as like are you an introvert and an extrovert?
- 49:24Speaker 3: Right?
- 49:25Speaker 5: Because if you're an introvert, you're not going to always
- 49:28Speaker 5: do videos. You're not going to feel comfortable in it.
- 49:32Speaker 5: Even though this is a video driven world. Right now,
- 49:34Speaker 5: what it seems like there's still a whole audience of
- 49:37Speaker 5: other introverts that are looking for your quotes. They're looking
- 49:41Speaker 5: for your blogs and articles and things like that. Right,
- 49:44Speaker 5: So YouTube may not be the thing for you, right,
- 49:48Speaker 5: Medium which is like a blogging platform that may be
- 49:52Speaker 5: LinkedIn articles that may be like that may be your vibe. Right,
- 49:56Speaker 5: quotes on LinkedIn, YouTube, not YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, that
- 50:03Speaker 5: may be your vibe. You can get a whole audience
- 50:06Speaker 5: shout out to Madi. Right, Madi does all these different quotes.
- 50:11Speaker 5: That's it. He hates video and he has over one
- 50:14Speaker 5: hundred k followers on Instagram. Doesn't plan on doing video
- 50:18Speaker 5: right now. If you are an extrovert or an amivert
- 50:23Speaker 5: and you can do video, can you do it for
- 50:25Speaker 5: a long form time? You're gonna want to do YouTube?
- 50:28Speaker 7: Why?
- 50:28Speaker 5: Because YouTube is the Google for videos. If I'm trying
- 50:33Speaker 5: to search for something, I'm going to go on Google
- 50:37Speaker 5: and your video is gonna pop up, or I'm going
- 50:39Speaker 5: on YouTube of how to do this and your video
- 50:41Speaker 5: is going to pop up. So from a longevity standpoint,
- 50:44Speaker 5: you always want to do YouTube because it lasts longer
- 50:47Speaker 5: than any other social media platform. Right. Of course, you're
- 50:52Speaker 5: gonna want to do Facebook because that's just still that's
- 50:55Speaker 5: still the vibe. Right for short form videos, going to
- 51:00Speaker 5: want to concentrate on TikTok and Instagram. Right. The one
- 51:05Speaker 5: that is blowing up right now that everybody does need
- 51:07Speaker 5: to pay attention to is LinkedIn. It's super organic. It's
- 51:11Speaker 5: just and what they're trying to do is kind of
- 51:14Speaker 5: steer away from I'm always professional, I'm only about resumes
- 51:19Speaker 5: and hiring and everything to like, no, we're a social
- 51:22Speaker 5: media platform. Two, we actually have really some dope creators
- 51:26Speaker 5: and we'll give you organic reach that is missing right now. Yes,
- 51:32Speaker 5: and that's where the bag is, like clients and things
- 51:36Speaker 5: like that. You know, creat getting money from these platforms
- 51:40Speaker 5: is cool, but the real money is with these deals, right,
- 51:45Speaker 5: The real money is with sponsorships and things like that,
- 51:48Speaker 5: the things that you can control. And they're on LinkedIn.
- 51:51Speaker 6: There's a lot of corporate that makes sense. Trying to
- 51:53Speaker 6: get corporate dollars makes sense.
- 51:55Speaker 4: To be there.
- 51:55Speaker 3: Yep.
- 51:56Speaker 5: So so it just it just depends on who you
- 51:59Speaker 5: are and what type or brand you are and really
- 52:02Speaker 5: finding your vibe of because social media is already an
- 52:05Speaker 5: uncomfortable place. We're not, like, we didn't wake up being like, okay,
- 52:10Speaker 5: you know what, I was just wanting to tell my
- 52:12Speaker 5: story to everybody. Now, some people are because you know,
- 52:14Speaker 5: that's what it is, but not everybody is like that,
- 52:17Speaker 5: and so you have to find a social media platform
- 52:19Speaker 5: that you're comfortable in because everybody's on all social media
- 52:23Speaker 5: platform I'm scared.
- 52:24Speaker 6: When you were talking about that made me think of
- 52:26Speaker 6: Justin O boy before we knew who he was, before
- 52:28Speaker 6: you had respectively Justin, it was quotes, that's all we knew.
- 52:32Speaker 4: Like he was. I'm like, I've never seen this guy before.
- 52:34Speaker 5: Right, but he killed it with that. Like, you have
- 52:38Speaker 5: to master that that piece of content that you feel
- 52:42Speaker 5: comfortable and that you can consistently do all the time,
- 52:44Speaker 5: and then you can do the video and then you
- 52:47Speaker 5: can try all these other avenues. But if you don't
- 52:50Speaker 5: master one piece of content and one platform because you
- 52:54Speaker 5: think about it, we don't know. Let's say, give me
- 52:57Speaker 5: your favorite give me your favorite social media influencer, give me.
- 53:03Speaker 3: Yours my favorite influencer. I ain't mad at that, you
- 53:11Speaker 3: know what, I'm be honest, I don't really follow out
- 53:13Speaker 3: of influence. I'm more like brands. Okay, so like bleacher Report,
- 53:17Speaker 3: I f like sports and I like a lot of
- 53:19Speaker 3: those type bleacher Report.
- 53:21Speaker 5: So let's say, where do you watch most of bleacher
- 53:24Speaker 5: reports content?
- 53:25Speaker 3: Instagram?
- 53:26Speaker 5: Okay. So my point is you don't go saying yo,
- 53:30Speaker 5: it's so and so from social media. You identify them
- 53:34Speaker 5: with a platform, why because they've dominated on that and
- 53:38Speaker 5: then their content gets repurposed everywhere else. Right. So that's
- 53:42Speaker 5: why I'm really big on figure out the content, figure
- 53:46Speaker 5: out the platform, and do that because then you can
- 53:49Speaker 5: take that same content and repurpose it everywhere else when
- 53:53Speaker 5: you have a team.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what even if you don't have a team,
- 53:55Speaker 3: if you create like what we do. Like if we
- 53:59Speaker 3: do let's say it's TikTok video that's made for TikTok.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Now we can put that as long as it's under
- 54:04Speaker 3: a minute. We can put that for ig wil and
- 54:08Speaker 3: then we can put it in Facebook yep, and we
- 54:10Speaker 3: can also put it on Twitter.
- 54:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 54:13Speaker 3: And just like a tweet, you put a tweet out,
- 54:15Speaker 3: take a picture picture of the tweet, put it on Instagram,
- 54:19Speaker 3: and then publish it to Facebook. So now you just
- 54:23Speaker 3: create content for one native platform, but you can usually
- 54:28Speaker 3: repurpose that. Especially videos, You can put videos in anywhere.
- 54:32Speaker 3: If it's under two minutes of twenty two seconds, I
- 54:34Speaker 3: think twenty seconds, you can put it on on Twitter.
- 54:37Speaker 3: So a lot of times people think they got to
- 54:39Speaker 3: create all different content for different platform you know, but.
- 54:42Speaker 5: It is about giving a different It depends on your goal.
- 54:46Speaker 5: It does depend that to creating a different experience on
- 54:50Speaker 5: each platform. Why Because if I'm comfortable on Instagram and
- 54:54Speaker 5: you're reposting the same exact thing everywhere else, I'm gonna
- 54:58Speaker 5: stay on Instagram. Right, So, like you may do a
- 55:02Speaker 5: real on Instagram, but you do a take that same
- 55:06Speaker 5: clip and make it maybe ten seconds longer and put
- 55:09Speaker 5: it on Facebook. That's still a different experience. Change the
- 55:14Speaker 5: caption up, that's still a different experience.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Right.
- 55:17Speaker 5: What people tend to do, which is the biggest no no,
- 55:20Speaker 5: is just share that to Facebook. Hit that share the
- 55:23Speaker 5: Facebook thing, and they're like, why don't I have the
- 55:26Speaker 5: same experience? Why don't I have the same likes and
- 55:28Speaker 5: engagement because you didn't cater to the platform, Like hashtags
- 55:33Speaker 5: don't necessarily work the same way on all platforms, right,
- 55:37Speaker 5: So you yeah, repurpose it, but repurpose it strategically. So
- 55:43Speaker 5: if I'm going to do a tweet, I'll do a
- 55:45Speaker 5: tweet at nine, post a picture on Instagram at nine
- 55:51Speaker 5: as well, But that tweet is going out on Instagram
- 55:54Speaker 5: about four o'clock, right, and a video maybe going out
- 55:58Speaker 5: on Facebook. But then that same video is going to
- 56:00Speaker 5: be on YouTube, and like you got to be strategic
- 56:03Speaker 5: with the with the repurposing.
- 56:06Speaker 3: And also for repurposing, you don't necessarily have to do
- 56:09Speaker 3: the exact same thing. What you can do the same content.
- 56:11Speaker 3: So what I mean is like if you do like
- 56:13Speaker 3: an article on Instagram, right, and it's a picture and
- 56:18Speaker 3: then the caption explains what the picture is about, you
- 56:22Speaker 3: can take that caption and make it a tweet, which
- 56:25Speaker 3: is is different because one's a tweet, one's actually a
- 56:29Speaker 3: picture with a caption. And then also for the video,
- 56:32Speaker 3: like what we do sometimes is like for like this interview, right,
- 56:36Speaker 3: might get one clip that's long form, like the whole phone,
- 56:43Speaker 3: and that'll just be for like an ig rail or
- 56:46Speaker 3: TikTok with the same clip vertical and then that'll be
- 56:51Speaker 3: for like Twitter and Facebook, and then the vertical one
- 56:54Speaker 3: will have like a title on it, so it's a
- 56:57Speaker 3: different look. Even though it's the same content. One is
- 57:01Speaker 3: more of a real form one is more of a
- 57:04Speaker 3: long form video.
- 57:05Speaker 5: You know who's doing it, really dope from a podcasting standpoint,
- 57:08Speaker 5: Rory and Maul. So, I don't know if you've seen
- 57:11Speaker 5: any content. So they'll do videos with captions on it,
- 57:14Speaker 5: and what they'll do is take screen screenshots of different
- 57:18Speaker 5: frames from that video and create a carousel saying kind
- 57:21Speaker 5: of the same story. Right, So they could take that
- 57:24Speaker 5: particular carousel or those particular screenshots and they could put
- 57:27Speaker 5: it on YouTube as kind of like a carousel, and
- 57:30Speaker 5: on Facebook as a carousel and LinkedIn where it came
- 57:36Speaker 5: from a video. So normally people create all separate types
- 57:40Speaker 5: of carousels on it, which carousels is amazing. If you're
- 57:43Speaker 5: not putting it on your content strategy, you should, right.
- 57:46Speaker 5: But they're saying, Okay, I'm we're dominating video, but I'm
- 57:51Speaker 5: just gonna take some screenshots, do some crazy faces with
- 57:54Speaker 5: the screenshots, right, and let that tell the story instead
- 57:59Speaker 5: of depending on people watching the video. Because we have
- 58:03Speaker 5: to understand people receive information differently. Not everybody likes video.
- 58:08Speaker 5: We like to read.
- 58:09Speaker 6: It's like the news article that comes up and it's like,
- 58:12Speaker 6: all right, well now you gotta slide because now.
- 58:13Speaker 4: I have to see what this picture is.
- 58:15Speaker 3: Yeah, well you got to pay attention to what was
- 58:17Speaker 3: popular on because like me, that's why I follow a
- 58:19Speaker 3: lot of sports pages, because I don't really get inspired
- 58:22Speaker 3: by financial literacy pages because I feel like the financial
- 58:25Speaker 3: literacy pages kind of follow us a lot. So it's
- 58:27Speaker 3: hard to get inspired by somebody who you're inspiring. No,
- 58:30Speaker 3: it's just reality. But so, but but I say that
- 58:39Speaker 3: to say, so I noticed what you're talking about. I
- 58:42Speaker 3: noticed that from like ESPN bleaching report when I saw
- 58:45Speaker 3: it and started to happen and like where they have
- 58:47Speaker 3: like a picture of Steph Curry shooting three yes, and
- 58:50Speaker 3: then the next slide is the actual play absolutely, and
- 58:54Speaker 3: I was like why are they doing this? And then
- 58:55Speaker 3: I started to realize, like that was like a trending
- 58:57Speaker 3: topic on Instagram where you're breaking or even breaking the
- 59:02Speaker 3: video up yes, as opposed to just having one long video.
- 59:05Speaker 3: So you know, it's like anything, I feel like social media,
- 59:08Speaker 3: you really the best way is to really like stay
- 59:11Speaker 3: up to date. Like it's hard to like just dibble
- 59:14Speaker 3: and dabble in it because you're not it changes so much.
- 59:19Speaker 5: Yeah, and another reason why that trend also works is
- 59:23Speaker 5: because you have to think of how am I going
- 59:25Speaker 5: to keep users on the platform longer?
- 59:28Speaker 3: Right?
- 59:28Speaker 5: So I already caught your attention with that picture. Now
- 59:31Speaker 5: if you go to next life, I'm keeping you for
- 59:33Speaker 5: at least another sixty seconds watching the video. And you
- 59:37Speaker 5: get rewarded by that because the platform is looking at
- 59:39Speaker 5: it like you're keeping my people here and making money
- 59:42Speaker 5: off of this. So any type of content that you're creating,
- 59:46Speaker 5: you have to think about it like how do I
- 59:47Speaker 5: keep people longer on the platform. Hence, why if anybody
- 59:52Speaker 5: remembers when Facebook like stop really rewarding people just putting
- 59:57Speaker 5: up your YouTube links like those got really trash engagement?
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: Why because you're taking people off face right. So if
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: you create content that keeps them all longer, right now,
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: that's where you'll see the engagement go up over and
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: over again. So once people saw okay, I just got
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: to take a picture and then show the video, well
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: let me just do that over and and it starts trickling,
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: not just from the sports standpoint, but then from everyone
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: else seeing it just because they know it's a play
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: of I got to keep the people on their longer.
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: It's like when they removed the wipe up and now
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: you got to put the link. So these are trends,
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: and so now I'm interisted because like you're an expert here.
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: So you started with the mashups right with the sound over,
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: and then now we see the carousels and the screenshots
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: that lead to videos. So what do you see as
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: like the next trend? What do you seeing out there
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: that's like, all right, this is where this is headed.
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: I'll tell you this. It's not necessarily the next trend.
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: You have to master short form. As tick talk stays
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: number one, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, all of them are going
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: to try to create a true short form competitor. Right,
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: So until TikTok gets knocked down, there's not going to
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: be a new trend. There's not going to be nothing. Really,
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: Like you have to master being able to do something
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: within fifteen to thirty seconds. Do they allow a minute? Yeah,
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: but if you can master fifteen to thirty seconds, think
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: about it like it's an appetizer, right, you give somebody
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: an appetizer, they're going to be like, okay, I want
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: the full meal. Right, So your short form videos are
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: going to be the appetizers of your brand, right, and
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: so the more they people see it, they're like, okay,
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: what else do you have part of Like Okay, maybe
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: I'll see a sixty second, maybe I'll read a blog,
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: maybe I'll go to your YouTube and things like that.
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: But if you don't necessarily have short form videos in
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: your arsenal right now, people, it's it's starting to fade
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: a little bit for them. Right So even with YouTube
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: shorts and things like that, like, we have to figure
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: that mastery out. We have to figure out that formula
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: of the hooks. We have to figure out the formula
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: of the texts. How do we make things pop up?
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: You know, we have to figure out, you know, how
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: to use the sounds, how to use the different effects,
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: how to be using more of the tools that they
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: give us rather than necessarily how do I make doper
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: longer content or how do I take better pictures and
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: things like that? How do I get another one is
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: ar ar is you know, with the filters is crazy.
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: For those people who are interested in creating ar filters,
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: that's going to be a wave because you have to
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: think about, Okay, these creators need to do something with
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: their content. So if I'm creating a dope ar filter
- 1:02:59Speaker 5: for it. It not only does that bring attention to
- 1:03:02Speaker 5: my brand, it brings attention to the creators, a win
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: win situation, and they're going to go to you for
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: more stuff. So short form in ar filters, I think,
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: is those those two things that concentrate on.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: So like TikTok, you can create a lot of most
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: of the content on your phone, yep. But like if
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: people are still interested in maybe ig, you'll just you know,
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: what are some apps that they can possibly use like that,
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: you know on a computer to just create more high
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: level content.
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: So I'm big on creating like your media team right
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: with apps, because not everybody can afford videographer and a photographer, right.
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: So for your video editor, you're going to use in shot,
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: you're going to use apps like video Leap, You're going
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: to use apps like what's another one, vid lab, you
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: know those those apps are really good for iMovie if
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: you really want to start it out. But in shot Vida, Oh,
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: cap cut is my new favorite one. I'm not gonna lie.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: What is is one of the top apps on the
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: top apps of twenty twenty one.
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: So it is a video editor and a photo editor.
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: So you can do captions in there, you could do
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: titles in there, you could do transitions in there. You
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: can make a still picture like turn into a video
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: so it does like kind of like three D kind
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: of thing. You could do the cartoon, the Big Head,
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: like the effects that it has in there. You can
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: remove backgrounds, you could do green screen. It's it's everything
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: for free. Like other services you have to pay for
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: all these different features. It's it's super free and it's
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: super easy. It's one of my is definitely one of
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: my favorite apps. So if I were to put it
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: in order, cap Cut in Shot and video Leap is
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: my three top ones that I use on a regular
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: basis for video editing. Now a photo editor, because please
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: please please stop using taking pictures and not editing it.
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: It's not cute, it's not sexy, just a regular like
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: camera and just nothing. It's like, there's too many apps
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: that makes you look like a photo editor. Right so
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: you have Visco, you have light Room, and you have Snapseed.
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: Is my top three for having a photo editor on
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: your team right now. If you want a graphic designer,
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: you're gonna look at Canva. You're gonna look at Adobe,
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: Spark Post and you're going to look at what's the
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: other one that I use? Yeah, photo Leap because they
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: have video Leap and photo Leap photo Leap, right, so
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: those three especially canva right, Why, Like they have everything
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: in there. Like you want to look for a newsletter,
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: they have a newsletter template. You want to look for
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: YouTube thumbnail, they have that, right, email it Like everything
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: is right there. People are getting paid to create templates,
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: use them, right, Just change the colors, change the fonts,
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: things like that. Right, And then the last thing is
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: people are going to need a social media manager, right,
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: use a Creator Studio or a Facebook Business Suite that's
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: another one later or Buffer. Those are the apps that
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: will allow you to schedule out your content that you're
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: making now, right, and for you to be consistent because
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: the biggest thing is when you create a whole bunch
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: of content, they're like, all right, when do I post?
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: I don't have time, I have real life, I have
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: kids and mom and all that great stuff. Yeah, just
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: give it to your social media manager aka the app
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: and let them post it for you. And all you
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: gotta do is change it back, you know, check on
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: the times that you do go engage with it, and
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: that's it a whole.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: Lot of game. Yeah, definitely, you can be rewarded for
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: low low quality videos, but not low quality pictures. Different,
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: two different things. Keep your pictures up to par.
- 1:06:58Speaker 6: I love taking good picture. That's why I knew canvacause
- 1:07:00Speaker 6: I'm like trying to study photography.
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: Listen canvas Canba's cheat code now, I promise you Canva
- 1:07:06Speaker 5: is a cheat code. U light room is a cheat code,
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: and cap cut is a cheat code.
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: Do you have an Asian Gentleman's episodes?
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: That?
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: So, what's what What's What's what's next for you? What's
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: what's what's on your horizon? Man?
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: It seems like everything content creation? So I'm going to
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: be a creator on LinkedIn. That's why I said. LinkedIn
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: is starting to do some different things. So they have
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: a creator Accelerator program. So only like one hundred content
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: creators got picked in order to like make make LinkedIn
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: look like us right pretty much, So that where you're
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: going to have like exclusive content on LinkedIn, uh for
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: about like ten weeks. That's happening. I got Nikki and
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: Moosta podcast, just like completely killing that up, like wanting
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: to really dominate in the you know, the remote space
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: more as a podcast breaking down you know, brands and businesses,
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: but more not just talking about their accolades, but how
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: did they build a brand? Thank you? Thank you. Yeah,
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: Like we just had we just had Wall Street Trapper
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: and it was like we leave all like the story
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: and the stock stuff for everybody, for y'all and everybody
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: else because that's what it needs. But y'all, how did
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: you build that brand? Like did you have a PR person?
- 1:08:36Speaker 5: So that's like kind of what we go through with
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: Nicki and Moose, And that's really my main thing, deeper
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: than the brand, teaching other people how to create content,
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: how to build their brand. You know, that's my main
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: focus of this time.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: So thank you for joining us. How can the people
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: contact you? Social media handles and all of that.
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: Yeah, every everything at this is Nikki's and I c
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: k y with a S right mainly on Instagram though
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: I'm big on Instagram. I love, but I'm gonna be
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: active in LinkedIn.
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: To so find me there too, shout Microsoft investors.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: We gotta we gotta get on LinkedIn more. You gotta
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: do some stuff on LinkedIn, something that we kind of
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: not put a lot of energy.
- 1:09:18Speaker 5: No no, I'm telling you that all changes to that.
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: When I'm telling you they it looks like us.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: Shout out to LinkedIn, Troy Housekeeping.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: Shout everybody on Patreon dot com.
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: Shout out to all of our earners at EYL University,
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: the number one place for everything in the world of
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: business and entrepreneurial endeavors. Shout out to everybody that's supporting
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: I merged.
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: I got my one on one. Uh so I'm trying
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: to get attraction.
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: I ain't gonna lie. I got credit card ready, credit
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: card ready.
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: Your official alumni listen virgo young boy just just at
- 1:09:55Speaker 6: the sixteenth birthday. Shout out to him and shout out
- 1:09:58Speaker 6: to y'all for locking in with us. Man, appreciate the
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: support as always.
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: You know what's so funny about LinkedIn? Before we leave,
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: so shout out to my man Harold. So we have
