- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show with the hosts Adam Todd
- 0:15Speaker 1: Brown and Conye mcsnabin. Welcome to Conspiracy The Show, everybody.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I'm Adam Todd.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Brown, I'm Conor mc spadden.
- 0:29Speaker 1: We're your hosts.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Indeed we are.
- 0:31Speaker 1: You should already know that. They probably don't. I don't
- 0:33Speaker 1: know why they would know that.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Well, we are the most consistently updated podcast on iTunes,
- 0:38Speaker 2: I believe.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I think so. Yeah, we're pretty well. I think our
- 0:41Speaker 1: last episode came out in June something like that. Yeah, yeah,
- 0:46Speaker 1: that's my fault. I haven't been good at scheduling these lately.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's me and Adam just don't like each other
- 0:52Speaker 2: that much, so it's tough.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Yeah, there's that neither of us are really into conspiracy theories.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Not fans, and uh, I'm just I'm so much more
- 0:59Speaker 2: successful in him that my schedule fills up just almost immediately.
- 1:03Speaker 2: So Yeah, when I do have a limited availability to
- 1:07Speaker 2: do charitable you know, donations of my time is really
- 1:11Speaker 2: what this is. I I will grudgingly come over here.
- 1:14Speaker 1: The Make a Wish Foundation always works magic.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Today we're talking about Nazis fleeing to Argentina, more specifically,
- 1:22Speaker 2: the main Nazi Hitler Hitler, I think that's that's actually
- 1:25Speaker 2: what Feurer translates to is main Nazi. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:29Speaker 2: not to be confused with the alt right in Maine. Portland,
- 1:32Speaker 2: Maine have a big bastion out there.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah. We're talking about a few different conspiracies about what
- 1:39Speaker 1: happened to Hitler after World War Two. Obviously, the the
- 1:44Speaker 1: official explanation is.
- 1:46Speaker 2: They had a couple of tracks with Tupac and then
- 1:49Speaker 2: he kind of dropped off the map.
- 1:50Speaker 1: He was gonna gonna join the Doors for a while. Yeah,
- 1:54Speaker 1: but he didn't have the vocals for it.
- 1:55Speaker 2: That's actually what what John Densmore said. He's like, unless
- 1:58Speaker 2: it's gonna be Van Morrison or Hitler, saying, I don't
- 2:00Speaker 2: think anyone could do Jim justice.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Right right, and you're not gonna get closer to Hitler
- 2:06Speaker 1: than Van Morrison. So he was a good second choice.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Was it Van Morrison? No, it was the fucking other guy.
- 2:12Speaker 2: It was the guy that's in uh my dad was
- 2:15Speaker 2: in a tribute band for them. Jesus Christ, I'm not
- 2:18Speaker 2: gonna remember it. Let's move on.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Oh right, the.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Guy that's sing with the Doors. After Jim died a
- 2:24Speaker 2: couple of times.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Anyway, Oh, the cult, I think that was the guy
- 2:28Speaker 1: was that was the lead singer of the cult?
- 2:30Speaker 2: Right, No, it wasn't the lead singer of the cult.
- 2:31Speaker 2: It was the lead singer of this fuck bad company.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Who's the bad company guy?
- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I thought he's sang with Queen, though I
- 2:40Speaker 2: think you might have done that too.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Did he sing with both of them? He's not that great.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Okay, new conspiracy theory, especially affecting our memory and our
- 2:48Speaker 2: capacity to determine what is interesting to people that are
- 2:50Speaker 2: outside of this room.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I'm willing to wager truth without even a Google doc
- 2:57Speaker 2: uh outline to verify it.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Oh my god, let's get back to Hitler.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Indeed, how exciting.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Uh so. Yeah. The official explanation, of course, is that
- 3:07Speaker 1: Hitler committed suicide in a bunker right at the tail
- 3:11Speaker 1: end of World War Two, or at least Germany's involvement.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Yeah, world War two. Do you know, Mary Daeva? You know,
- 3:16Speaker 2: did did the pills? And then Gebels was fear for
- 3:19Speaker 2: a day before he died with his family.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Right, And there have been lots of conspiracy theories around
- 3:25Speaker 1: that because, by.
- 3:26Speaker 2: The way, what a short shift for for Gebels. I
- 3:29Speaker 2: mean he yeah, yeah, he stands by. He's like, oh look,
- 3:32Speaker 2: I'm just gonna ride this out until the Parkinson's kicks in.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna pull a coup and then I'm going to
- 3:35Speaker 2: be in Stallin territory. And there's like, yeah, you get
- 3:38Speaker 2: to be in charge of the Third Reich, which is
- 3:40Speaker 2: basically like six blocks in Berlin that haven't been bunker
- 3:43Speaker 2: busted by Stalin. And then yeah, he's he's fucking like, okay,
- 3:47Speaker 2: I took the OAF of office. All right, where's the gun?
- 3:50Speaker 1: I have always kind of if there's a believable conspiracy
- 3:55Speaker 1: theory out there, this one is it for me? Because
- 3:58Speaker 1: of all the Nazis who got out of Germany, how
- 4:02Speaker 1: improbable is it that Hitler would be the one who
- 4:05Speaker 1: stays behind and takes the bullet in the head in
- 4:08Speaker 1: a bunker.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I just wonder if he was such an ideologue he
- 4:10Speaker 2: felt compelled to go down with the ship.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's one thing.
- 4:14Speaker 2: That that's something that I would you know, I'd need
- 4:17Speaker 2: more psychoanalysis to kind of that's that's not Actually there's
- 4:20Speaker 2: no evidence there. This is Connorm Maspad and clinical psychologist
- 4:24Speaker 2: and dictator expert.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it like it like he had this personal pilot
- 4:30Speaker 1: who wrote a book at one point, and she got
- 4:34Speaker 1: out of Germany.
- 4:35Speaker 2: It was the only pet in LA I want to read.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Sorry, Yeah, she got out of Germany on basically the
- 4:41Speaker 1: last flight that got out of Germany in World War Two.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And the there's some people who believe.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah, they think that I've I've heard that one that
- 4:53Speaker 2: they think that he you know, they smuggled him out
- 4:55Speaker 2: of there in a crate full of you know, with
- 4:57Speaker 2: a swastika with a big line in the red circle
- 5:00Speaker 2: through it. You know.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I was like, oh, no, nuts, you still no Nazis
- 5:03Speaker 1: in this box. Yeah.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I guess that's true because if some of these lower
- 5:05Speaker 2: level guys went out. But I mean there are photos
- 5:07Speaker 2: of Hitler like you know, like looking at the ruins
- 5:09Speaker 2: of Berlin when it's like pretty gnarly. Like if you
- 5:12Speaker 2: ever look up my last image of Hitler, you'll see
- 5:14Speaker 2: him like, you know, in his like long trench coach,
- 5:16Speaker 2: just being like fuck.
- 5:18Speaker 1: That would kind of like it would feel like shitty
- 5:22Speaker 1: to look over all that, but then at the same
- 5:25Speaker 1: time to just be like I did this, this, this
- 5:28Speaker 1: was my fault. That's pretty cool. Yeah.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like when you knock over a whole shelf,
- 5:33Speaker 2: you know, at a china shop and you're like, well,
- 5:35Speaker 2: I mean that is impressive.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Is that on surveillance? Can I see that? It was great? So, yeah,
- 5:40Speaker 1: there's some hypotheses about why people want to believe this.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Some people, they think, just hold out hope that Hitler
- 5:50Speaker 1: won't come to some sort of justice. Yeah, it really
- 5:52Speaker 1: seems like that ship has sailed.
- 5:54Speaker 2: That ship unless there's like full on robot body Illuminati
- 5:57Speaker 2: lizard rituals, like right, that's that's the.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that's never happening. And uh there's also some people
- 6:03Speaker 1: who just have a hard time, uh, believing that someone
- 6:06Speaker 1: could get away with stuff like this and then just
- 6:09Speaker 1: kill himself at the last minute, which that's kind of
- 6:11Speaker 1: what I the camp I fall in.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I guess, yeah, well I just I feel like at
- 6:16Speaker 2: that point, you're like, look, I mean, I why not
- 6:20Speaker 2: risk going into the the you know, no Nazi crate
- 6:24Speaker 2: on the on the little fucking h you know, puddle
- 6:26Speaker 2: jumper airplane with a cyanide pill in your cheek, and
- 6:29Speaker 2: then as soon as someone you know tries to like
- 6:31Speaker 2: seize you catches you just like crunch it because yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 2: if you're Hitler, you don't want to be you want
- 6:35Speaker 2: to stand trial in the hag because you're gonna get hanged,
- 6:37Speaker 2: you know, right, gonna get hagged.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Hey, oh yeah, that's what we do here. Yeah, it's
- 6:44Speaker 1: always like the and so many of the top guys
- 6:47Speaker 1: got out that it just it's always seemed weird, yeah
- 6:51Speaker 1: to me. And it's again it's because their bodies were
- 6:55Speaker 1: just kind of buried and burned in a shallow grave,
- 6:57Speaker 1: which adds fuel to this. But also it's a theory
- 7:00Speaker 1: that's been promoted by the Soviet government, which some people
- 7:05Speaker 1: think is just a So maybe it's just a misinformation
- 7:07Speaker 1: campaign on the part of the Russians.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I mean that definitely kind of falls into their agenda
- 7:12Speaker 2: of sort of discrediting American efforts against against socialism, communism, fascism, Yeah,
- 7:19Speaker 2: in its many different forms.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's it's not that I mean, when we
- 7:24Speaker 1: start talking about like Operation paper Clip and things like that, like,
- 7:27Speaker 1: it's not that that out of the question. I don't
- 7:31Speaker 1: know that we would have helped Hitler escape, but but
- 7:33Speaker 1: we also don't know that we wouldn't have we.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Got those Russians back when the CIA planned to drop
- 7:39Speaker 2: really big condoms that were labeled small over there. You
- 7:43Speaker 2: have you seen that, yes, yeah, just to demoralize the
- 7:45Speaker 2: Russian populace.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Didn't We also have a plan to nuke the moon once.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Just to show fucking probably so what we could do
- 7:54Speaker 2: what fallout DLC? Was that one sounds good?
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yeah. One of the theories or one of the things
- 8:02Speaker 1: that drives these theories also is, like I said, a
- 8:04Speaker 1: lot of the higher ups did get out. Some were
- 8:07Speaker 1: either given asylum by the US or other countries in.
- 8:11Speaker 2: And those are mostly people that had some usefulness to us,
- 8:13Speaker 2: because the Operation paper Clip is all tied to science,
- 8:16Speaker 2: you know. Famously, the guy that like was sort of
- 8:18Speaker 2: the brain child behind the Apollo eleven rocket was an
- 8:20Speaker 2: art scientist.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, and it was us trying to not only
- 8:25Speaker 1: harness that science, but also keep it from falling into
- 8:29Speaker 1: Russian or even British hands.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Yeah, because I mean, I think the logic was like, look,
- 8:34Speaker 2: if we're you know, not going to jump on this,
- 8:37Speaker 2: then they are, because they're way better at rockets than
- 8:39Speaker 2: us exactly, you know, and they're like, look, I mean
- 8:41Speaker 2: this is not pretty. Truman actually issued an order where
- 8:45Speaker 2: he was like, don't, don't do that. Don't you can't
- 8:47Speaker 2: do that. And then like all the people like you know,
- 8:50Speaker 2: on the mid levels of the bureaucracy just like forged
- 8:52Speaker 2: documents like yeah, no, no, get over here just to look
- 8:54Speaker 2: at Yeah, we'll give you a dialect class just to
- 8:56Speaker 2: help us forget out how this liquid propellant works.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah. I think the way Truman wore it was they
- 9:00Speaker 1: couldn't bring on Nazis, so they just kind of started
- 9:05Speaker 1: forging the documents to make them seem like former Nazis. Yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 1: they were like, oh no, they defected, yeah, Nazis anymore.
- 9:13Speaker 2: This was like when Walter White is trying to prove
- 9:14Speaker 2: his usefulness to to gus, you know. Yeah, and that
- 9:18Speaker 2: the creepy security gu was like, oh, what about the
- 9:20Speaker 2: weather and you know in the winter months, you're gonna
- 9:22Speaker 2: have to adjust the the methylamine flow. And then they're like, okay,
- 9:25Speaker 2: well just look give us the gist of it.
- 9:26Speaker 1: And then so the also the Red Cross and the
- 9:30Speaker 1: Vatican have previously acknowledged that its efforts to help or
- 9:34Speaker 1: their efforts to help refugees, were used by Nazis to
- 9:39Speaker 1: sneak into other countries.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I don't I almost don't even want to talk about
- 9:42Speaker 2: this on the podcast because even with our very limited platform,
- 9:44Speaker 2: people are can be like see Muslim band checks out,
- 9:46Speaker 2: all right, you know, I mean these deposits refugees they're
- 9:49Speaker 2: coming to this country.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it's I was thinking that too. It's the exact
- 9:52Speaker 1: same thing. And it's because they were so overwhelmed by
- 9:55Speaker 1: how many people were trying to enter at once they
- 9:57Speaker 1: couldn't put good checks in place to stop it. By
- 10:01Speaker 1: the way, like and also they're all white, so we're
- 10:03Speaker 1: all just like what wait wait, wait waituh.
- 10:06Speaker 2: The gun pointed at the two clones, like I prove
- 10:08Speaker 2: you're not a Nazi. I love you, Juden. Uh, yeah,
- 10:13Speaker 2: this is it and getting ahead of ourselves a little bit.
- 10:15Speaker 2: But the difference between Nazis and Isis is like Nazi's
- 10:18Speaker 2: had so many, so much swag, They had a lot
- 10:20Speaker 2: of merch, They had all these like statues and everything.
- 10:23Speaker 1: It was squatsedge.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Like I feel like there's gonna be so many people
- 10:25Speaker 2: going on pond Stars in like thirty years where they're
- 10:28Speaker 2: just like this is an authentic scheme, Like that is
- 10:30Speaker 2: just a scheme mask all right, that you got some blood.
- 10:33Speaker 1: On Yeah, yeah, yeah, isis is more about destroying artifacts. Yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 1: like that.
- 10:39Speaker 2: They're not big on history.
- 10:40Speaker 1: They travel light, they are minimalists.
- 10:43Speaker 2: They saw that Netflix documentary exactly, which I still haven't
- 10:46Speaker 2: seen neither.
- 10:46Speaker 1: That it's an hour and a half. Like for a
- 10:48Speaker 1: minimalist documentary, it should be.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Get it short, get it down to a YouTube video.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Yeah, at least forty five minutes something like that. Yeah.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Britain and Canada alone inadvertently took in around eight thousand
- 10:58Speaker 1: former SS members in nineteen forty seven, and many of
- 11:02Speaker 1: those were just because of valid documents that were issued mistakenly.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so say, it seems like they were kind of
- 11:07Speaker 2: like relying on the Red Cross in the Vatican to
- 11:09Speaker 2: vet people and kind of funnel them through. And obviously
- 11:11Speaker 2: with you know, the aftermath of Greatest Conflidence in Human
- 11:14Speaker 2: Ministry and all this, you know, the various humanitarian crises
- 11:18Speaker 2: that were arising, they're just like that fucking you seem cool,
- 11:20Speaker 2: like you know, yeah, yeah, so I'm like and the
- 11:22Speaker 2: only schedule thing is that the church like doesn't want
- 11:25Speaker 2: to release these documents, like even.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Yeah, they weirdly have shut down access to all their
- 11:30Speaker 1: documents post to nineteen thirty nine.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Wow, that's fucking because you mean, this seems like it
- 11:36Speaker 2: could very easily be an honest mistake. But that fact,
- 11:39Speaker 2: I mean, is it just if you want to avoid
- 11:40Speaker 2: the bad press, like it's gonna come out eventually, you know,
- 11:43Speaker 2: like the JFK's brains coming out, you know, in September.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Oh, we can't wait.
- 11:47Speaker 2: I'll stay tuned for a very special conspiracy the show.
- 11:50Speaker 1: H Yeah, you're gonna want to camp out to get
- 11:51Speaker 1: that one early.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Yeah, go fast light, but put on your costumes and
- 11:56Speaker 2: you know, keep refreshing the Patreon.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Put on your JFK costumes. Yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 2: So, I mean, if it's an honest mistake, just be like, ah,
- 12:03Speaker 2: who's here it is?
- 12:03Speaker 1: You know.
- 12:04Speaker 2: But the fact that they're so reticent to tell people,
- 12:06Speaker 2: it's kind of like hmmm.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yeah. And there's theories that they and also one multiple
- 12:11Speaker 1: I think at least one pope has been a Nazi,
- 12:14Speaker 1: so it's like right, right, or at least a former
- 12:16Speaker 1: he was like a Hitler youth right, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 1: and yeah, there's theories that the Vatican wanted to do
- 12:22Speaker 1: this because they were hoping for a revival of European Christianity.
- 12:26Speaker 1: And they just didn't want the Soviet Union to take power.
- 12:30Speaker 1: So the Vatican Refugee Commission issued false identities knowingly to
- 12:36Speaker 1: war criminals. And like you said, they have never commented
- 12:40Speaker 1: on that publicly.
- 12:41Speaker 2: How different can the different sects of Christianity be? Like, like, yeah,
- 12:47Speaker 2: it really is crazy? How how that all varies? Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 2: I mean they're just like this whole thing just be like, okay,
- 12:54Speaker 2: we've got the broad stre like I've never understood. But
- 12:57Speaker 2: I wasn't really raised religious, so I can't like you're
- 13:00Speaker 2: just a I don't get like the Methodist jokes or whatever.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, my parents both went to like Bible colleges,
- 13:07Speaker 1: oh shit, and then immediately got out of college and
- 13:09Speaker 1: they were like fuck that, we're not going to church anymore.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Football on. Yeah, Like we mentioned earlier, we the United
- 13:17Speaker 1: States also recruited Nazi scientists to work on American projects.
- 13:21Speaker 1: It was called Operation paper Clip.
- 13:24Speaker 2: And you thought that paper clip and Microsoft word was annoying,
- 13:27Speaker 2: but this one Clippy, he never extra doubted war criminals.
- 13:31Speaker 2: You just accidentally made you lose your place on your
- 13:34Speaker 2: fucking history final whatever you get.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Operation paper Clip the most famous uh, I guess scientists
- 13:42Speaker 1: involved in that, like we mentioned Werner von Braun, who
- 13:45Speaker 1: went on to develop rockets for NASA, including the Saturn
- 13:49Speaker 1: V rocket.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Also sounds like the name of a drag drag queen,
- 13:53Speaker 2: you know, like Werner von Braun. I could very easily see,
- 13:56Speaker 2: Like have you seen the Werner von Braun gifts from, Like, yeah,
- 13:59Speaker 2: Werner on broad.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Like, I kind of want to be a drag queen
- 14:03Speaker 1: just to I guess I don't know how he dressed, though.
- 14:06Speaker 2: I feel like the drag queen thing. It's like, it's like,
- 14:09Speaker 2: probably the most fun of it is trying to decide
- 14:10Speaker 2: what name you want to be, and then the it's
- 14:12Speaker 2: like being in a band. You're like, oh, fuck, we
- 14:13Speaker 2: gotta we've gotta make a demo. Now this is hard.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I gotta learn how to learn how to contour.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Uh. The government did at least keep tabs on former Nazis.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Operation paper Clip was in operation as late as nineteen
- 14:27Speaker 1: ninety goddamn.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean these some of these people were probably
- 14:30Speaker 2: in there, you know, mid twenties. So yeah, it's what
- 14:32Speaker 2: fifty years later, that's not crazy?
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yeah, And uh. In total, more than sixteen hundred Germans
- 14:38Speaker 1: were brought over as part of Operation paper Clip, resulting
- 14:41Speaker 1: in patents that generated over ten billion dollars.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Ooh that's a lot of cash. Look, can we get
- 14:50Speaker 2: that int nutsy gold? Yeah? Did you know, like what
- 14:54Speaker 2: what was the Bush families thing with the Nazi gold
- 14:57Speaker 2: There's some there's some fucking crazy Bush Family like laundered
- 15:00Speaker 2: like Nazi gold money.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I've heard something about that.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Yeah, like Prescott Busch had some kind of like financial anyway, And.
- 15:08Speaker 1: We'll definitely talk about the Bush family when we talk
- 15:11Speaker 1: about JFK. Yes, because there's a.
- 15:13Speaker 2: There's people that think that Herbert Walker was on the grass,
- 15:16Speaker 2: you know, yeah, yeah.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Yeah, just a suit. Yeah, there's a whole documentary about
- 15:23Speaker 1: the Bush family being involved in killing JFK.
- 15:26Speaker 2: And there's a pretty great thing. When HW is speaking
- 15:28Speaker 2: at Gerald Ford's funeral, he like laughs when he talks
- 15:31Speaker 2: about the JFK assassination, you know, like he gives like
- 15:33Speaker 2: a little chuckle and you're like, well, it's funny about that,
- 15:35Speaker 2: mister president is because you did it because he got
- 15:39Speaker 2: shot anyway, like an idiot. Tommy. Back to the Hitler stuff.
- 15:44Speaker 1: So did Hitler escape to South America? The strongest basis
- 15:49Speaker 1: for the most recent iterations of this theory is that
- 15:52Speaker 1: DNA testing has proved that a skull found in Hitler's bunker,
- 15:56Speaker 1: which many alleged was his, actually came from a young woman,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and these claims stem from a report that Russian intelligence
- 16:04Speaker 1: claimed they had a piece of Hitler's skull. When this
- 16:07Speaker 1: was tested in two thousand and nine, it was proved
- 16:09Speaker 1: to be that of a woman's.
- 16:10Speaker 2: This sounds like some crazy guy he just had a
- 16:12Speaker 2: skull and was trying to be on the news because
- 16:14Speaker 2: he was bored.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, like was it?
- 16:16Speaker 2: Was it just something like Russian Nazi body part collector
- 16:20Speaker 2: or Yeah, yeah, I got the bitch of bucking Walls
- 16:22Speaker 2: left it. I want to come squeeze it.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Yeah, because it You know, a lot of people immediately
- 16:29Speaker 1: jumped to the conclusion that this proved Hitler used a
- 16:32Speaker 1: female body double, And what no one really questioned was
- 16:37Speaker 1: where did you get that piece of Hitler's skull? Like
- 16:39Speaker 1: is that part real? Do you really have that?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah? And also how emasculating is have to be to
- 16:44Speaker 2: try to be this tough dictator and have to use
- 16:46Speaker 2: a female body double, Like, yeah, no one's fitting the part.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I know, man, we need all these guys to go
- 16:51Speaker 2: try to stop the Soviets from bombing Berlin block by block, but.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Just color a mustache on some woman with short hair. Yeah, yeah,
- 16:58Speaker 1: he's that was a good German accent. Adam, good job
- 17:02Speaker 1: Hurtler and uh yeah they and also that it could
- 17:08Speaker 1: have just been Russia lying about it. But none of
- 17:11Speaker 1: that changes the fact that we.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Don't really yeah, we don't have the remains, have his remains,
- 17:15Speaker 2: And I wonder if that was I don't know about
- 17:17Speaker 2: the people that actually, like, you know, rated the Hitler bunker,
- 17:20Speaker 2: like was some of that, like the you know, Osama
- 17:23Speaker 2: bin Laden bari him at sea, So it doesn't become
- 17:24Speaker 2: a shrine type thing. Yeah, I kin I feel like
- 17:27Speaker 2: it is because I think I saw something recently about
- 17:29Speaker 2: there's like a playground where they think that bunker used
- 17:31Speaker 2: to be and they're like, oh, should we put up
- 17:32Speaker 2: a memorial And they're like, I just fucking forget about it.
- 17:34Speaker 2: You know, he's got a bunch of Jewish kids, like,
- 17:36Speaker 2: you know, doing like the seesaw on his grave. That's
- 17:38Speaker 2: probably fitting enough.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a house in or the house he grew
- 17:42Speaker 1: up in in Austria back in the seventies. The woman
- 17:45Speaker 1: who owns it refuses to sell it to the government,
- 17:48Speaker 1: and they want to buy it because it that same
- 17:50Speaker 1: thing to keep it from turning into some sort of shrine,
- 17:53Speaker 1: which it already is. Yeah, but she won't sell it
- 17:56Speaker 1: to him, so they pay her like eight grand a
- 17:58Speaker 1: month to rent this building, and at one point they
- 18:00Speaker 1: made it like a home for people with Patreon.
- 18:03Speaker 2: We gotta go get Pitler's house. We'll be rolling it.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, even just a less major dictator, you
- 18:10Speaker 1: probably all got a following.
- 18:11Speaker 2: We could get like we could get like a Mussolini condo.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the bathroom Mussolini shit in. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 18:19Speaker 1: come worship it. There's some great.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Interviews with hit and not great, I mean obviously horror.
- 18:23Speaker 2: There's some great interviews with Hitler's sister from like the
- 18:26Speaker 2: late seventies, and she's just like, yeah, I don't really
- 18:28Speaker 2: see what the big fuss was about, Okay, you don't suck.
- 18:33Speaker 2: She just like kind of lived like she was kind
- 18:34Speaker 2: of like a you just lived on like German social
- 18:36Speaker 2: security in a quiet little house. And she's like, Eh,
- 18:39Speaker 2: this is a bummer. You know, this shit happened. I
- 18:42Speaker 2: got out of hand and you're like, oh my god.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Even when you see like the like documentaries about Nazis,
- 18:47Speaker 1: there's always one or two old guards or something who
- 18:50Speaker 1: are like, oh, just doing our job, man, I don't
- 18:52Speaker 1: regret it. Oh yeah.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Like she's like like Ken Burns always says that thing
- 18:55Speaker 2: where he's like, all right, what group of people are
- 18:57Speaker 2: about to die this year? And he's like, oh, no,
- 19:00Speaker 2: child Hitler assistance and then he interviews them. They're like, yes,
- 19:04Speaker 2: we would bring himsey Cakewazi bombs fell like.
- 19:06Speaker 1: You just don't give a shit.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:10Speaker 1: So, people who support this theory that suggests that Hitler,
- 19:14Speaker 1: along with several other SS officials, managed to escape that
- 19:18Speaker 1: they believe he arrived safely in Spain and from there,
- 19:22Speaker 1: it's alleged that Hitler and Braun traveled to South America
- 19:25Speaker 1: via U boat, where they lived until sometime in the
- 19:28Speaker 1: mid sixties. And that's another sticking point. I didn't put
- 19:31Speaker 1: it in the notes, but a lot of people who
- 19:33Speaker 1: question this theory question if a U boat could have
- 19:36Speaker 1: made that.
- 19:36Speaker 2: What I'm about to say, like, how much like extra
- 19:39Speaker 2: are you getting another someone else to refuel it? And
- 19:41Speaker 2: also it's like it's not like at that point in time,
- 19:43Speaker 2: no one was like keeping tabs on the Atlantic Ocean, right,
- 19:48Speaker 2: that was kind of a highly contested area. I mean
- 19:50Speaker 2: maybe if you try to like screw it down, go
- 19:52Speaker 2: way down south and you know, go down to like,
- 19:54Speaker 2: you know, yeah, the east coast of South America where
- 19:56Speaker 2: there's like what it wasn't really popping off like it was,
- 19:58Speaker 2: and the rest of the Pacific in the Atlantic, you know,
- 20:01Speaker 2: with the U boats like intercepting people in between. But
- 20:03Speaker 2: that's just I don't know, it's the fact that they're
- 20:06Speaker 2: making that claim specifically, Like I would have just gone, like,
- 20:09Speaker 2: uh yeah, put them into like a like the crate
- 20:11Speaker 2: that the animals got sent back to Madagascar in, you know,
- 20:14Speaker 2: and just label it olives.
- 20:15Speaker 1: And yeah, he would have. They would have at least
- 20:17Speaker 1: had a stop somewhere, which I guess isn't out of
- 20:19Speaker 1: the question, but yeah, who knows. So there's a few
- 20:24Speaker 1: different theories on how they lived out the rest of
- 20:26Speaker 1: their years. Some people claim they raised two daughters of
- 20:29Speaker 1: their own and spent their days in a luxurious hotel
- 20:32Speaker 1: in Argentina, while others believe they lived a more subdued
- 20:35Speaker 1: life in a rural part of the country and later
- 20:37Speaker 1: moved to Paraguay or Brazil because they had better beaches.
- 20:41Speaker 1: You know how Hitler liked beautiful beaches.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, how arrogant would you have to be
- 20:46Speaker 2: to be like, Look, I know, I'm the most wanted
- 20:48Speaker 2: person in human history, but I'm.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Just the fishing's bad.
- 20:52Speaker 2: It's mostly rocks. Like, can we go?
- 20:55Speaker 1: The sand is not the right color?
- 20:59Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, let's get some white, pure fine scene.
- 21:04Speaker 1: So tens of thousands of Nazis actually escaped to Argentina, Paraguay, Chili, Bolivia,
- 21:10Speaker 1: and Brazil after World War Two. There were long established
- 21:13Speaker 1: German colonies in South America that quickly absorbed the new
- 21:17Speaker 1: wave of immigrants. Some Nazis changed their names, but the
- 21:20Speaker 1: bold ones did not. In fact, most did not. They
- 21:25Speaker 1: lived on.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Farms, different different Manglo. Yeah, yeah, right, yeah, believe me,
- 21:29Speaker 2: I get it all the time.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Have you ever read Boys from Brazil.
- 21:32Speaker 2: No, it's a great book.
- 21:33Speaker 1: It's about someone hunting Nazis in Brazil. Is it fiction
- 21:36Speaker 1: or like fiction? It's by Ira Levin, guy that wrote
- 21:40Speaker 1: Rosemary's Baby.
- 21:41Speaker 2: That sounds pretty bad ass.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fucking great. South America is still a good
- 21:45Speaker 1: place for a Nazi. To hide. Descendants of Germans.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Richard Spencer loves those beaches exactly.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Descendants of Germans account for three point six million of
- 21:54Speaker 1: Brazil's one hundred and thirty million inhabitants, one million of
- 21:57Speaker 1: Argentina's twenty eight million people, two hundred thousand of the
- 22:01Speaker 1: three point five million Paraguayans. Many of them maintained the
- 22:05Speaker 1: language and traditions of their forefathers, and heavy accents among
- 22:09Speaker 1: the aging German population is very common. So there are
- 22:14Speaker 1: a bunch of these. Are some of the higher level
- 22:18Speaker 1: Nazis that we do know escape to South America.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Joseph mag There high quality Nazis, the best Nazis.
- 22:26Speaker 1: We get the best Nazis in the Americas. Joseph Mangela.
- 22:30Speaker 1: He died died of a stroke at a on a
- 22:33Speaker 1: beach in Brazil. Adolf Eikman, mastermind behind the extermination of Jews.
- 22:38Speaker 1: He was awesomely kidnapped by Israeli special forces that's nineteen
- 22:42Speaker 1: sixty and returned to Israel, tried and hanged.
- 22:45Speaker 2: That is the that's the heavy ending you want real, Yeah, Yeah, that's.
- 22:48Speaker 1: That's the Munich ending to this story.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's Look, it's like the you know the Holocaust
- 22:53Speaker 2: was a summer blockbuster like that, but you know, you
- 22:55Speaker 2: know it's you know, remember Michael Bays Pearl Harbor where
- 22:57Speaker 2: they go back and do those like bombing raids of Tokyo.
- 23:00Speaker 1: You know that's that scene where they're just you just
- 23:02Speaker 1: see that guy.
- 23:02Speaker 2: He's just on there and just like Kluk and then
- 23:04Speaker 2: you know, you sear the rope cracking or whatever, and
- 23:06Speaker 2: then the credits roll over that we hear all these
- 23:08Speaker 2: Raelies cheer, let's sell this movie.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I think we said, yeah, I don't know why we're not.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Gerhard bone Hard Bone.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Out if he deserves that name, I'll tell you that
- 23:20Speaker 2: he was blamed for fifteen thousand deaths and extradited to
- 23:24Speaker 2: or by Argentina in nineteen sixty six.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Franz Stangle, commander of the Treblinka in Soberbor concentration.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Well, so he commanded an ikea furniture concentration camp exactly.
- 23:36Speaker 1: There's a documentary about Treblinco where this woman goes and
- 23:39Speaker 1: tries to like dig it up. Very disappointing. It's like
- 23:42Speaker 1: the heraldo's oh yeah, yeah, yeah, She's just like there's
- 23:46Speaker 1: something down here.
- 23:47Speaker 2: They could have killed another six million if they would
- 23:49Speaker 2: have found that Allen wrench in time. But I mean
- 23:51Speaker 2: they put it in the little plastic bag and then
- 23:53Speaker 2: you don't know what's the directions and what's trash.
- 23:56Speaker 1: So confusing. They got a service for that. You call
- 23:58Speaker 1: and have people build your akia ship.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Now have you ever seen have you ever seen her
- 24:02Speaker 2: all the rivera tear the original Woodstock ticket live on
- 24:06Speaker 2: the air. No, he's holding up an original untorn ticket
- 24:09Speaker 2: to Woodstock. He's like, here it is, And then why
- 24:12Speaker 2: does he do that? He just fuck said, he just
- 24:14Speaker 2: like holds it too totly, and it's oh, there's another
- 24:18Speaker 2: great thing like that idiot, This like famous mentalist was
- 24:20Speaker 2: like doing a spoon bedding demonstration with these two people,
- 24:23Speaker 2: and he used one of Paul Revere's silver spoons. And
- 24:26Speaker 2: this was the only complete set of Paul Revere's spoons
- 24:29Speaker 2: that it ever existed.
- 24:30Speaker 1: To the world. Oh my god, that's awesome. Did you
- 24:33Speaker 1: see that woman. There's a woman at a museum here
- 24:36Speaker 1: in downtown LA that has all these really famous and
- 24:39Speaker 1: expensive crowns on display.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 24:42Speaker 1: And there's surveillance video of her trying to take a
- 24:44Speaker 1: selfie next to one of them and she knocks it
- 24:46Speaker 1: over and it just Domino affects the entire row of crowns.
- 24:50Speaker 2: What.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Yeah, that's worth twenty grand each. Oh, that's awesome. It's
- 24:55Speaker 1: pretty fucking great. I hope that's selfie turned out good.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Uh Franz Stang he was also He was employed by
- 25:02Speaker 1: Volkswagen when he was returned to Germany by Brazil in
- 25:05Speaker 1: sixty seven.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Look, if you want to get away with war crimes,
- 25:08Speaker 2: it seems like you just need a stem degree.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you just have to be good at something. Yeah,
- 25:13Speaker 1: and someone will take you in Klaus Barbie.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Like Tila Tequila about neo Nazi, not enough talent to
- 25:20Speaker 2: get by, I mean, no one's extra guiding right, Like
- 25:22Speaker 2: you know, last thing.
- 25:23Speaker 1: She was booked on was the gathering of the Juggalos
- 25:25Speaker 1: where they beat the shit out of her.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Pretty upset that I cannot get booked at the Gathering
- 25:29Speaker 2: of the Juggalos. But we'll discuss that off the air.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Yeah, we should try.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I've I've been trying, abby, I've done a good amount
- 25:37Speaker 2: of legwork I met and it's not fruitful thus far.
- 25:41Speaker 2: I don't fucked up. I don't think they understand my
- 25:43Speaker 2: respect for what they're doing. I think that's not coming across,
- 25:45Speaker 2: so I'll have to be a little more since here
- 25:47Speaker 2: Klaus Barbie, another very barby, a masculating name.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Yeah, but he's a famous one. He was a Gestapo
- 25:53Speaker 1: chief in France. He was a familiar figure in La
- 25:57Speaker 1: Pause for more than a decade before his extra auditioned
- 26:00Speaker 1: by Bolivia in eighty three.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Oh he's walking into the sandwich. Hey, Kloud's the usual,
- 26:05Speaker 2: and he's.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Like, you know me, and then they swoop in and
- 26:08Speaker 1: arrest him.
- 26:09Speaker 2: A familiar figure. That's a bummer.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Colonel Walter Ralph, the SS, officer in charge of developing
- 26:14Speaker 1: mobile gas chambers. He lived in Chile under his own
- 26:17Speaker 1: name from fifty eight until his death in eighty five.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Man, this guy like lived to see like point break
- 26:23Speaker 2: and shit like.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yeah, he got to see all the good things, Like.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Isn't it weird to think like Nazis survive long enough
- 26:28Speaker 2: to see like it's Star.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Wars, Yeah, the Cosby Show, Yeah.
- 26:31Speaker 2: You didn't, well maybe the cup Well some of the
- 26:34Speaker 2: original messages hold out.
- 26:36Speaker 1: He's getting too complicated at him. We got to.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Streamlined this discussion.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Oh who else? Gustav Franz Wagner, nicknamed the Hangman of
- 26:45Speaker 1: sober Bor, he committed suicide, but not till nineteen.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Eighty after he saw Star Wars.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Walter Kutschman lived in Argentina died in eighty six in
- 26:54Speaker 1: prison before he could be extra diuided. And that doesn't
- 26:58Speaker 1: that list doesn't include any of the others that were
- 27:01Speaker 1: found in the late eighties and on to the present.
- 27:05Speaker 1: So there are tons of Nazis who fled to South America.
- 27:10Speaker 1: So the idea that Hitler might have gotten there too
- 27:13Speaker 1: isn't insane. No, and Argentina seems to be the country
- 27:19Speaker 1: people have landed on recently as being the spot where
- 27:22Speaker 1: Hitler fled. We already talked about the connection to South America,
- 27:28Speaker 1: but last year archaeologists stumbled upon what they believed were
- 27:32Speaker 1: the ruins of a secret jungle layer built especially for
- 27:36Speaker 1: Nazi leaders of the Third Reich should they have been
- 27:39Speaker 1: forced to flee to Germany. But they weren't forced to
- 27:43Speaker 1: flee Germany. But it seems like this thing never got used.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Which is it looks bitching? Oh it does.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if I saw the pictures. Yeah,
- 27:52Speaker 2: I mean that there's not much that is more like
- 27:55Speaker 2: summer action movie than secret Nazi jungle bunker in South America.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, and they built they built these things all
- 28:04Speaker 1: over the fucking place, but this one in Argentina was
- 28:09Speaker 1: just discovered.
- 28:11Speaker 2: And it makes you wonder, like where Kim Jong UN's
- 28:14Speaker 2: underground basketball court and like jacuzzi like fortresses.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you know he's got ship stone. Yeah, once the
- 28:21Speaker 1: radio activity passes, after we nuke North Korea, maybe we'll
- 28:24Speaker 1: go in and find it all. So there were all
- 28:26Speaker 1: these artifacts that they found in this Argentina layer, and
- 28:31Speaker 1: many of them were accompanied by photographs, some of them
- 28:33Speaker 1: with Hitler holding them. But see that could have been
- 28:35Speaker 1: just someone proving sea Hitler stone this thing. Yeah.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Well, is it like when you become a retired in
- 28:43Speaker 2: hiding dictator, do you just like sit back and look
- 28:46Speaker 2: back on your career, like you're like a golden age
- 28:48Speaker 2: actor who's going ceda And like I remember when Barber
- 28:52Speaker 2: Streishad killed with me in polls, hit shined this. Yeah,
- 28:59Speaker 2: some of these these actually are it's just going in
- 29:01Speaker 2: turn with the Nazi merch. There's a magnifying glass. I
- 29:06Speaker 2: don't totally know what you need that for. You have
- 29:09Speaker 2: harmonicas with swastikas on him. That might be the worst
- 29:12Speaker 2: war crime that the Nazis committed, just giving a children,
- 29:15Speaker 2: giving a giving children harmonicas there is. Probably it's up
- 29:19Speaker 2: there with like Vavuzola in terms of.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Just Yeah, it would be like Trump giving out turntables today, Like,
- 29:25Speaker 1: don't you do that?
- 29:26Speaker 2: Don't He's just gonna you know, the guy that like
- 29:29Speaker 2: decides he's going to be a dj buys the most expensive,
- 29:32Speaker 2: best equipment and then just doesn't do anything with it, right, Yeah, anyway.
- 29:36Speaker 1: They also found a bust and several statues of Hitler,
- 29:40Speaker 1: and a device used to measure heads, because Nazis believe
- 29:44Speaker 1: that one could distinguish a Jew from someone belonging to
- 29:46Speaker 1: the supposed Aryan race by head measurements.
- 29:49Speaker 2: No, it's just to see if there's a yamaka up
- 29:50Speaker 2: there and no, yeah, that's the it's some like straight
- 29:54Speaker 2: up django unchained ship. They also had a silver Ouiji board.
- 29:57Speaker 1: That's cool as ship.
- 29:59Speaker 2: That is badass.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I would just file the swastika off of that and
- 30:03Speaker 1: display it in my home.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Yeah, just put it put an unpopped sticker. Yeah, this
- 30:09Speaker 2: is not a war crime. It's Jeff May.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Jeff Jeff made this. That's why we call him
- 30:13Speaker 1: May Jeff made get it?
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 30:15Speaker 1: Is it?
- 30:16Speaker 2: Silver Smith? You know, he was trying to replace that
- 30:18Speaker 2: spoon of Paul Revere's that he broke.
- 30:20Speaker 1: They also found children's games, ceremonial knives, a massive swastika
- 30:25Speaker 1: studded hour glass, and a large statue of an eagle
- 30:29Speaker 1: above a swastika, and stolen paintings and a bunch of
- 30:32Speaker 1: other shit. They found like seventy five things in total,
- 30:36Speaker 1: and articles started popping up the next day from people
- 30:40Speaker 1: going say, say Hitler, Hitler went to Argentina, which.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I mean the thing I don't
- 30:46Speaker 2: That doesn't prove it, but I mean it is kind
- 30:48Speaker 2: of like who else would have like this seems like
- 30:50Speaker 2: it could just be like some really meticulous collector, you know,
- 30:53Speaker 2: And if you're collecting Nazi shit, you put it behind
- 30:55Speaker 2: a secret bookcase, yeah, you know, like you don't leave
- 30:58Speaker 2: it in like a fucking and you don't get a
- 31:01Speaker 2: pod storage unit and have him hauled away.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Yeah. The most popular theory is that Hitler evaded justice
- 31:09Speaker 1: by fleeing to Argentine, Argentina, and then went on to Paraguay,
- 31:13Speaker 1: where he lived under the protection of dictator Alfredo Strassner, he.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Sees because I feel like, if you could find a
- 31:18Speaker 2: sympathetic dictator that seems like the move.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, for sure. And he's like, I'm looking.
- 31:24Speaker 2: For a fascist with like good beaches, you know.
- 31:27Speaker 1: And that's the thing about Argentina. At the time Hitler
- 31:30Speaker 1: is supposed to have been fleeing there, they also had
- 31:32Speaker 1: just declared war on Germany. But that could have been them,
- 31:36Speaker 1: like that could have just been cover.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Could have been saving face.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. A book by a writer named Abel Basti
- 31:42Speaker 1: and Argentinian writer claimed Hitler died on February third, nineteen
- 31:47Speaker 1: seventy one, so he got to see all of the
- 31:50Speaker 1: Beatles shit happen, and in Paraguay, wealthy families who helped
- 31:54Speaker 1: him over the years were responsible for the organization of
- 31:56Speaker 1: his funeral. He further claims Hitler was buried in an
- 32:00Speaker 1: underground bunker that's fitting, which is now an elegant hotel
- 32:03Speaker 1: in the city of Asuncion. He claims Hitler escape by
- 32:07Speaker 1: leaving another man who was shot in the head in
- 32:10Speaker 1: the Berlin bunker as the Allied forces moved across the
- 32:13Speaker 1: German capital, leaving Hitler free to escape through a tunnel
- 32:17Speaker 1: to the Tempulf airport and into a waiting helicopter to
- 32:21Speaker 1: Spain or the Canary Islands before making the journey to
- 32:25Speaker 1: Argentina by submarine.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Could World War two submarines go across the Atlantic and
- 32:30Speaker 2: they had to get there somehow?
- 32:31Speaker 1: Well there was the Germans actually attacked us off the
- 32:37Speaker 1: off the east coast at well during World War two,
- 32:40Speaker 1: up around New York. Yeah, yeah, yeah, so they I
- 32:43Speaker 1: think that was what made U boat so effective? Is
- 32:47Speaker 1: I think they went low enough that they were hard
- 32:50Speaker 1: to pick up. Oh yeah, you're right, You're right.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Yeah. Maybe that you both did go to Argentina. Hitler
- 32:55Speaker 2: might have seen the Beatles. Dude, I'm starting to get creeped.
- 32:57Speaker 1: He might still be there.
- 32:59Speaker 2: He This guy claims, I'm just picturing Hitler with the
- 33:03Speaker 2: Snapchat dog ears on his face, like doing control.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Like one hundred and eight years. Oh yeah. The same
- 33:09Speaker 1: rider claims Hitler escape. We already read that. He goes
- 33:13Speaker 1: on to claim there was an agreement with the US
- 33:14Speaker 1: that Hitler would run away and that he shouldn't fall
- 33:17Speaker 1: into the hands of the Soviet Union. And this guy
- 33:20Speaker 1: sites Operation paper Clip once again.
- 33:23Speaker 2: I mean the countries do do that in war, Yeah,
- 33:27Speaker 2: I mean they do, like, okay, we'll take you. You know.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Well, one of the interesting things about World War Two
- 33:32Speaker 1: is the only reason I mean, this is controversial and
- 33:36Speaker 1: people will argue about it, but the only real sticking
- 33:39Speaker 1: point with Japan surrendering was they didn't want their emperor
- 33:42Speaker 1: to have to step down. Yeah, like, if we would
- 33:45Speaker 1: have just gone for that, we would have never had
- 33:46Speaker 1: to drop the bombs. But it was just such a
- 33:49Speaker 1: sticking point. I think we just wanted to drop.
- 33:51Speaker 2: That, have some fun and look up things Harry Truman
- 33:53Speaker 2: said about Asian people, and then just get really upset
- 33:57Speaker 2: about Harry Truman. Huge piece of Yeah, he was a monster.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I thought he was badass for a long time and
- 34:03Speaker 2: then like you read anything out and you're like, oh my.
- 34:06Speaker 1: God, Yeah he was like this huge pussy and then
- 34:09Speaker 1: we get the bomb and he turns into the biggest
- 34:12Speaker 1: badass in politics. Yeah.
- 34:14Speaker 2: There's a great you know moment where he's like hanging
- 34:16Speaker 2: out with Winston Churchill after they both left office and
- 34:18Speaker 2: they're like, ah, well, we've got to explain it to
- 34:20Speaker 2: do Once we get up to the Pearly Gates, a
- 34:22Speaker 2: old friend and he's like, I gotta explain shit.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Bomb them too. Yeah, bring one with me. So that's
- 34:29Speaker 1: a really famous theory Hitler escaped to Argentina. Let's run
- 34:33Speaker 1: through a couple more before we get out of here, though,
- 34:35Speaker 1: because there's also a super fun theory that Hitler escaped
- 34:38Speaker 1: to Antarctica and maybe the Moon.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Connor, Yeah, the Moon, the Moon.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Hitler on the Moon, best album of the eighties. In
- 34:47Speaker 1: nineteen thirty eight, the Nazi sent a team of explorers
- 34:50Speaker 1: to the Queen Maudland region of Antarctica, and while exploring,
- 34:54Speaker 1: they find a massive underground cave with a geothermal lake
- 34:57Speaker 1: in it. And I'm reading all this as if it's fact,
- 35:00Speaker 1: but uh, that's just the way I wrote it down.
- 35:03Speaker 1: They send a construction team to build a new city
- 35:07Speaker 1: size base called New Berlin. It uh and this is
- 35:10Speaker 1: an I feel like, that's what I feel like.
- 35:12Speaker 2: That's your dick drop move once you take over New
- 35:14Speaker 2: York and then like, don't don't blow New Berlin on Antarctica.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's dumb, because you want to be able
- 35:20Speaker 1: to rename like have they have? They did? They not
- 35:24Speaker 1: live to read The Man in the High Castle.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Yeah, call it like New Pittsburgh or something, you know,
- 35:28Speaker 2: like don't blow one of the name brand cities on it.
- 35:31Speaker 1: And so at the end of the war.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Or Nunich for New Munich.
- 35:37Speaker 1: That's no, I don't like that.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not good.
- 35:39Speaker 1: The end of the war, all the fleeing to Argentina,
- 35:42Speaker 1: stuff like that, that all happens according to this theory.
- 35:46Speaker 1: But then you add Hitler going from Argentina to this
- 35:50Speaker 1: base on the Antarctic in a U boat, which again
- 35:53Speaker 1: seems like a perilous journey for a U boat, but
- 35:56Speaker 1: I never owned one. What the fuck do I know?
- 35:58Speaker 2: Is that like a U haul for a few like
- 36:00Speaker 2: you know, going to Gaving Catalina.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Water based moves, Yeah, things like that. Of course, they
- 36:06Speaker 1: make contact with aliens while they're there.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Yeah, well where do you think aliens are hanging out?
- 36:10Speaker 2: They're going to Earth's basement?
- 36:11Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, and uh they they develop a bunch of
- 36:15Speaker 1: weapons which weren't ready in time for World War two unfortunately.
- 36:19Speaker 1: But the base does still exist and they'll launch a
- 36:22Speaker 1: New World Order from it someday. So that's cool. Stay tuned,
- 36:26Speaker 1: Stay tuned.
- 36:27Speaker 2: We will have a very special Conspiracy the Pod live
- 36:30Speaker 2: from our Nazi holding cells on Mars.
- 36:32Speaker 1: We should do that. There's like a Nazi like Nazi
- 36:37Speaker 1: ruins here in La.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, like the Nazi Hike. I've seen people like
- 36:40Speaker 2: I'm going on the Nazi Hikes.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Do a live podcast.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Listener beat ups.
- 36:46Speaker 1: We should absolutely do that would be badass. Yeah, we'll
- 36:50Speaker 1: look into quick aliens.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Sorry, bar, here's my own personal alien conspiracy theory. Because
- 36:54Speaker 2: you think only stupid people and rednecks get abducted by aliens,
- 36:58Speaker 2: that must mean that these people are just crazy and
- 37:00Speaker 2: aren't real. I think if I was an alien and
- 37:02Speaker 2: I was gonna decide whether or not I'm giving a
- 37:04Speaker 2: planet with intelligent life, all the secrets and the technology,
- 37:07Speaker 2: I'm going to go to the dumbest person. And once
- 37:10Speaker 2: the dumbest person is ready for it, then I started
- 37:12Speaker 2: making contact. But they're like, all right, let's find someone
- 37:15Speaker 2: on the low end of the Bell curve, and like, no,
- 37:17Speaker 2: Kletus is not going to be able to handle the
- 37:18Speaker 2: warp drive.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Yeah, but they went right to the Nazis.
- 37:22Speaker 2: I mean, the Germans are efficient, they're they're put together, they.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Get shit done. They just didn't build these weapons in
- 37:28Speaker 1: time for World War two. Apparently, so yeah, the nineteen
- 37:31Speaker 1: forty six Operation High Jump. It's actually not they didn't
- 37:36Speaker 1: go there to fight Nazis. They were just exploring.
- 37:39Speaker 2: They're doing some scientific constance. And I read this article
- 37:42Speaker 2: and it's like they didn't get like within like one
- 37:44Speaker 2: hundred miles of where they say the base.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Was right right. So that's another theory, probably less believable.
- 37:52Speaker 1: There's another theory. Uh oh, well, we should mention that
- 37:55Speaker 1: the flying saucers we see today are Nazi spycraft prepping
- 37:59Speaker 1: for a fourth Reich under the leadership of a shadowy
- 38:02Speaker 1: group of Nazi government holdouts called the Last Battalion. And
- 38:06Speaker 1: this is despite the fact that this base we're talking
- 38:09Speaker 1: about was obliterated by three nuclear bomb strikes by the
- 38:13Speaker 1: United States. Yes, you remember that great war with Antarctica
- 38:16Speaker 1: of the forties.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Who could forget it was devastating, And of course the
- 38:19Speaker 2: Last Battalion is you know, there's a front operation for them.
- 38:22Speaker 2: That is a melodic cardcore band out of San Jose
- 38:26Speaker 2: that has a five hundred friends on MySpace.
- 38:28Speaker 1: So also there's a theory that Hitler escaped to Indoonisia.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Author Peter Lavenda suggests that Adolf Hitler faked his death
- 38:38Speaker 1: and escape to Indonesia using an underground network of Nazi sympathizers.
- 38:44Speaker 1: He detailed a myriad of inconsistencies surrounding the official story
- 38:48Speaker 1: that Hitler died in his bunker in April of nineteen
- 38:51Speaker 1: forty five, on the most credible of all sources, an
- 38:54Speaker 1: episode of Coast to Coast AM in twenty twelve. Yes,
- 38:57Speaker 1: which somehow also featured Judah Friedland. What, Yeah, he's the
- 39:02Speaker 1: world champion. Yeah he is.
- 39:03Speaker 2: He has a wide perview.
- 39:06Speaker 1: This included how the German witnesses who claimed to have
- 39:10Speaker 1: seen Hitler's dead body in the aftermath of his suicidal
- 39:13Speaker 1: had drastically different tales.
- 39:15Speaker 2: I imagine you might be a little stressed out going
- 39:17Speaker 2: through the ruins of your Reich.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Yeah you think.
- 39:20Speaker 2: I feel like you maybe maybe have to be a
- 39:22Speaker 2: bit hysterical, Yeah, looking at tell me exactly how it happened,
- 39:26Speaker 2: Like imagine, like imagine, you know, just like walking someplace
- 39:28Speaker 2: and just seeing Barack Obama dead. You know, well, well,
- 39:32Speaker 2: you know North Koreans had been bombing Washington, DC, blocked
- 39:35Speaker 2: by block. He'd be like, yeah, I think he was
- 39:37Speaker 2: wearing a green tie.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I don't know. Fuck based on his investigation, Leavenda put
- 39:43Speaker 1: forward the theory that Hitler and Ava Brown actually fled
- 39:46Speaker 1: from Germany via an elaborate escape plan that saw Nazi
- 39:51Speaker 1: war criminals spirited out of the country by hiding them
- 39:54Speaker 1: at monasteries and giving them forged travel documents.
- 39:58Speaker 2: You don't want to be spirited, Like spirited should just
- 40:00Speaker 2: be for like prices, right, vacation plugs, not for like
- 40:03Speaker 2: Nazi extra dish.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a weird choice of words. Yeah, spirit Hitler
- 40:09Speaker 1: out of here.
- 40:09Speaker 2: He's being spirited away to the beautiful beaches of Paraguay,
- 40:13Speaker 2: where there's a sympathetic fascist South American dictator. Tell them
- 40:17Speaker 2: what they'll see.
- 40:20Speaker 1: They theorized that they first went to Argentina, but it
- 40:23Speaker 1: was too dangerous for Hitler.
- 40:24Speaker 2: To all rooms coming quick with secret bookcases, perfect for
- 40:28Speaker 2: hiding your artifacts.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Sorry, uh the uh.
- 40:31Speaker 2: I'm betting von Dollar. Okay, I'm done for.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Real, Lavenda said. The duo then escaped to Indonesia, to
- 40:39Speaker 1: the city of Surabaya, where Nazi sympathy was high, but
- 40:43Speaker 1: Hitler was not as well known at the time.
- 40:45Speaker 2: What the what the fuck does that mean? Yeah, it's
- 40:48Speaker 2: like Hitler. Everyone loved Disney no clue who this Mickey
- 40:51Speaker 2: Mouse guy was. You could just walk down the street
- 40:52Speaker 2: get a coffee, no conflict, It.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Makes no goddamn sense. Yeah, we love those Nazis, but
- 40:57Speaker 1: who Hitler? Look, I love Blur. I don't know who
- 41:01Speaker 1: these brothers are.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Oh.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Lavenda suggested that Hitler and Braun assume the identities of
- 41:06Speaker 1: Austrian's Gay org Anton and Hella pac That's a great
- 41:12Speaker 1: rap name.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Hella pac Is is actually just how you know. The
- 41:14Speaker 2: people at the Anime Expo described their snacks supply. It's like, Oh,
- 41:17Speaker 2: I got Hella, Poc. Dude got chocolate, Poc.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I got the strawberry pox. The pox escape, Lavenda observed,
- 41:24Speaker 1: was particularly suspicious because they were not wanted by the Allies.
- 41:28Speaker 1: And Hella abandoned a highly successful career as an anthropologist
- 41:33Speaker 1: for life of anonymity in Indonesia.
- 41:36Speaker 2: No, she didn't just abandon it. She Hella abandoned it.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Hella abandoned on the same day Eva or the same
- 41:43Speaker 1: year Eva Bron's father became sick and died. They went
- 41:47Speaker 1: back to Europe from Indonesia, which also makes this guy
- 41:50Speaker 1: suspicih And additionally, Lavenda shared the story of his tripped
- 41:54Speaker 1: Indonesia to visit the grave of Gayorg and Tom Pak,
- 41:57Speaker 1: who died in nineteen seventy. Despite my sharing the true
- 42:00Speaker 1: reason for his visit to the grave, Lavenda revealed that
- 42:03Speaker 1: the man who brought him to the tombstone whispered Hitler
- 42:07Speaker 1: to him when they arrived at the grave. Hitler just
- 42:11Speaker 1: like you know, like I did when you showed up today.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's just the thing I well, he
- 42:15Speaker 2: pointed at the at the Patreon rewards to be sent out.
- 42:18Speaker 1: For the mother Hitler coming in next month's Mystery Daring
- 42:23Speaker 1: Ma Nazi Gold.
- 42:25Speaker 2: Yeah for me, like when a lot of these things
- 42:28Speaker 2: kind of just sound like this sounds like a guy
- 42:30Speaker 2: who was vaguely involved in history that is bored and
- 42:33Speaker 2: wants to be relevant.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it could very well. And he's like I.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Could just I could probably get like three thousand bucks
- 42:41Speaker 2: from the news if I tell him that someone whispered Hitler. Hitler.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Yikes, that's creepy. So uh yeah. Those are the various
- 42:52Speaker 1: theories around Hitler escaping. This again, is one among all
- 42:58Speaker 1: the conspiracy theories in the world, this one seems the
- 43:02Speaker 1: most reasonable because it nothing about it is impossible.
- 43:06Speaker 2: No, like and it was it was doable by people
- 43:08Speaker 2: with less, you know, resources within the Nazi regime.
- 43:11Speaker 1: Right, And it's like it would take a lot of
- 43:14Speaker 1: people lying, but it would also the people who don't
- 43:17Speaker 1: lie and who tell the truth. Because it's a conspiracy theory,
- 43:19Speaker 1: people are just gonna be like, whatever, liar, you never
- 43:22Speaker 1: saw Hitler in Argentina.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Yeah, So I feel like it might be true. And
- 43:26Speaker 2: I don't think there's that we'll ever have any kind
- 43:29Speaker 2: of like substantive proof on it.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Yeah, because it's not like Argentina at some point is
- 43:33Speaker 1: going to step up and be like, okay, actually we did.
- 43:37Speaker 2: We've been talking to the Red Cross and the Vatican
- 43:39Speaker 2: and we decided.
- 43:40Speaker 1: We're ready to come clean. Yeah.
- 43:42Speaker 2: And uh, I think this one feels like fifty to
- 43:44Speaker 2: fifty shot it's true, Like I could go either way.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I say true? Why not?
- 43:50Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 43:50Speaker 1: I still I still feel I still find it less
- 43:55Speaker 1: likely that he was the one who didn't get out.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Okay it so zi black z It Black scary guy
- 44:00Speaker 2: is Zifazer of Z. I don't know why I can't
- 44:04Speaker 2: get over the idea that not Nazis lived to see
- 44:06Speaker 2: Star Wars.
- 44:07Speaker 1: That's you don't deserved Star Wars Rocky, they saw all
- 44:11Speaker 1: those good.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Yes, they heard the probably the week they died. AHA's
- 44:16Speaker 2: take on Me came out, and it's like, you shouldn't
- 44:19Speaker 2: get to enjoy the synthpop, fucking bouncy pop hits of
- 44:23Speaker 2: the nineteen eighties, you monsters. Yeah, there you go. I
- 44:26Speaker 2: know I was looking for some big impressive word you jerks,
- 44:29Speaker 2: your busters, silver busters? Am I right?
- 44:33Speaker 1: All right?
- 44:34Speaker 2: Right? I think has any sane person ever commissioned a
- 44:37Speaker 2: bust of themselves?
- 44:38Speaker 1: Uh?
- 44:39Speaker 2: I don't know unless they're doing it ironically. Like if
- 44:41Speaker 2: Danny DeVito has a bronze bust of himself in his house,
- 44:44Speaker 2: I'm gonna give him a pass. But has there ever
- 44:46Speaker 2: been anyone that you're.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Yeah, like I would do it ironically, but I would never.
- 44:49Speaker 2: If I if I just bust money'd be like, yeah,
- 44:51Speaker 2: just fucking cover me in plaids. I'd get the breast
- 44:54Speaker 2: in plants, and then you'd would be a very different show.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Trying to get that bust money. All right, this was fun.
- 45:00Speaker 1: We should uh, we should wrap it up so we
- 45:01Speaker 1: can record the next one. Do you do you have
- 45:04Speaker 1: anything to plug get out of here?
- 45:06Speaker 2: Yeah? Just check out the Mean Boys podcast. Uh, it's
- 45:09Speaker 2: on iTunes. It's pretty good.
- 45:12Speaker 1: It's pretty good.

- 45:13Speaker 1: Sorry I forgot to call them, leave you a voicemail
- 45:15Speaker 1: for that episode that could not matter likes Busy Weekend.
