- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm live or not, but I guess I am lying.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Angela did she mm hmmm. We're on a totally new platform,
- 1:50Speaker 1: so we're trying to see what's going on. We're not
- 1:53Speaker 1: supposed to be live for another five minutes, so I'm
- 1:56Speaker 1: just waiting on Angela to see what's going on.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Eight yeah.
- 5:02Speaker 2: H h.
- 6:28Speaker 3: H.
- 6:35Speaker 2: But I just had to change my camera, So I
- 6:38Speaker 2: don't know if you may have to go out and
- 6:41Speaker 2: come back in shore. Not not sure, but nevertheless, y'all,
- 6:45Speaker 2: tonight we were gonna talk about grief. We was gonna
- 6:49Speaker 2: share just a little bit about grief. Because grief coming
- 6:52Speaker 2: different forms, different facts and sizes, different however, everybody is
- 7:02Speaker 2: going to experience it. I tell you this is not
- 7:05Speaker 2: my first time, but this one it hit a little different.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I can honestly say that I have been going through
- 7:14Speaker 2: similar processes since nineteen eighty nine. I remember losing my cousin.
- 7:20Speaker 2: That was the first close major death to me, and
- 7:24Speaker 2: it was a first cousin, so it kind of did
- 7:28Speaker 2: something to me. I remember him being buried in the cemetery.
- 7:32Speaker 2: And besides this cemetery was a tower and there was
- 7:35Speaker 2: a red light and I would see that night, that
- 7:38Speaker 2: light at night time, and I couldn't sleep. I couldn't
- 7:42Speaker 2: sleep in the room by myself. I was sleeping room
- 7:45Speaker 2: with my mom, you know. And when I remember when
- 7:49Speaker 2: my mom got sick, because she got sick right after
- 7:52Speaker 2: my after my cousin passed away eighty nine ninety she
- 7:57Speaker 2: got sick and then she passed away twelve days after
- 8:00Speaker 2: my birthday in ninety one. And the year before that,
- 8:07Speaker 2: my brother passed away. So it's just been it's been
- 8:13Speaker 2: one one after another. But again I say, this one
- 8:19Speaker 2: hit different. You know, It's just like something that you
- 8:24Speaker 2: just cannot wrap your arms around. Even though you saw
- 8:29Speaker 2: your little one landing that cast it, you saw them
- 8:32Speaker 2: at peace. You you saw all that. I mean, I
- 8:37Speaker 2: witnessed that.
- 8:38Speaker 3: You know.
- 8:38Speaker 2: My brother looked like he was just resting, like he
- 8:40Speaker 2: was just peaceful. And I just for the likes of me,
- 8:47Speaker 2: I just cannot believe that he is not. I'm not
- 8:52Speaker 2: gonna see him again. I'm not gonna be able to
- 8:55Speaker 2: hold him. I'm not gonna be able to pick up
- 8:56Speaker 2: the phone and call him my sister says. She couldn't
- 9:01Speaker 2: cash out for him for his birthday. She couldn't text
- 9:04Speaker 2: him and say that you get to cash out and
- 9:10Speaker 2: and all of that. So yeah, it's just processing ten minutes.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Can you give me ten minutes? So yeah, that was
- 9:32Speaker 2: my mom, y'all. Life, life is life, life, be happy?
- 9:37Speaker 2: My god? Mom is is that? That was her in
- 9:40Speaker 2: the background. I want to hear her from time to
- 9:42Speaker 2: time because she she don't she don't know that about
- 9:45Speaker 2: no podcasting. She don't learn about all that. Honey. She said,
- 9:48Speaker 2: look who house is here? This is her house. So
- 9:52Speaker 2: I have to if she want to holler, she can holler.
- 9:55Speaker 2: And she old enough to holler when she won't to
- 9:58Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. So ha, we're going to eat.
- 10:04Speaker 2: So she was asking me that I want to go
- 10:06Speaker 2: eat with them. So I'm gonna go eat with them
- 10:07Speaker 2: because I, you know, gotta have some time to you know,
- 10:13Speaker 2: enjoy life still in the midst of be around people,
- 10:18Speaker 2: love and you know, pamp for yourself. Sometimes do some
- 10:22Speaker 2: things that because I didn't feel like like last week,
- 10:26Speaker 2: I didn't feel like doing a lot of stuff, so
- 10:29Speaker 2: I didn't do it. I said this week I'm gonna
- 10:33Speaker 2: get up some stuff different. So I moved my computer
- 10:37Speaker 2: back to the family room. So I moved it out
- 10:39Speaker 2: of the room so I could get up. I can
- 10:42Speaker 2: get up and come back here and pray instead of
- 10:44Speaker 2: praying and sitting on side of the bed and praying,
- 10:47Speaker 2: I can actually that. I said this week, I'm gonna
- 10:51Speaker 2: be on the ball, you know, in this little little
- 10:54Speaker 2: And like I said, I have my moments because like now,
- 10:58Speaker 2: when when you know that you are not gonna have
- 11:01Speaker 2: that person again, then that's when you think about them
- 11:05Speaker 2: the most because you know you're not gonna have them.
- 11:08Speaker 2: When when when they're here, when they're here, you really
- 11:12Speaker 2: don't focus on it because they're here and you don't.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Like Now, my sister, I should be calling her every
- 11:21Speaker 2: day because she's the only sibling. That's my only sibling
- 11:24Speaker 2: I have now and I called her, I text her,
- 11:31Speaker 2: I've been calling. I think today I didn't text her
- 11:36Speaker 2: call today. But I'm gonna do better. But I still
- 11:43Speaker 2: this is a process of me. And like I tell people,
- 11:46Speaker 2: each one was different. You know, this is not my
- 11:49Speaker 2: first loss because I lost another brother. You know, I
- 11:53Speaker 2: had another brother. I lost both parents. I've lost both
- 11:59Speaker 2: sets of parents. I've lost best friends, I've lost cousins
- 12:06Speaker 2: that were like brothers to me. You know, so I
- 12:09Speaker 2: have experienced loss. But when you also experience loss and
- 12:15Speaker 2: everyone tell you that you got to be strong, you know,
- 12:19Speaker 2: you gotta be strong, you gotta be strong, you gotta
- 12:21Speaker 2: be strong. But I can't be strong this time. You know,
- 12:25Speaker 2: I've been strong for forty years, and I can't be
- 12:31Speaker 2: strong because this one hark. This one hurts. And I'm
- 12:36Speaker 2: thankful to have people like you, little and you know,
- 12:44Speaker 2: God know what we need when we need it, and
- 12:47Speaker 2: he placed us all in the midst of each other
- 12:50Speaker 2: during these times so that we can pull on each other.
- 12:54Speaker 2: And I'm grateful that he's dropping these nuggets in us
- 12:58Speaker 2: and allowing us to ring these things for as we heal,
- 13:02Speaker 2: we can help others heal too. You know. That's that's
- 13:05Speaker 2: that's what it's all about. You know, it's it's it's
- 13:09Speaker 2: not about it's not about monetary things. It's not about
- 13:12Speaker 2: material things. But it's about us being able to, you know,
- 13:17Speaker 2: help build the chemogile and recognize him and acknowledge him
- 13:22Speaker 2: and the things that we do. So I'm grateful. I'm
- 13:27Speaker 2: truly honored and I'm humble because you know, I know
- 13:32Speaker 2: that it was not a mistake, it was not an accident,
- 13:35Speaker 2: that it was all a part of his strategic plan
- 13:40Speaker 2: for us to come together, especially the way that we
- 13:43Speaker 2: all came together. So I'm thankful on today. Shout out
- 13:48Speaker 2: to Little, shout out to go and and all those
- 13:57Speaker 2: that you know support from what we do. And like
- 14:02Speaker 2: I say, I'm grateful that he's allowing us to have
- 14:06Speaker 2: the support group so that we can help others. But
- 14:10Speaker 2: that's it for me. Yeah, I'm wonna I'm gonna jump
- 14:13Speaker 2: on off of here. I just wanted to come on
- 14:16Speaker 2: spend some time shan Net help with her show, y'all.
- 14:19Speaker 2: It don't take a whole lot to get a message
- 14:22Speaker 2: out and to you know, impact life. I hope that
- 14:26Speaker 2: something that we've shared during these last fifteen minutes will
- 14:31Speaker 2: be something encouraging to you that will up with you
- 14:33Speaker 2: that maybe help you come out of what you're going through.
- 14:36Speaker 2: And if you're going through something and you need that
- 14:40Speaker 2: that that you need that extra encouraging, you need that coaching,
- 14:45Speaker 2: y'all were right here and I can guarantee you most

- 14:52Speaker 2: we're not certified, we getting certified. Not only that we
- 14:57Speaker 2: have the education to back the things what we're doing
- 15:01Speaker 2: and speaking of. And if we don't have the degrees,
- 15:06Speaker 2: you can best believe be working on them, especially if
- 15:09Speaker 2: you're in my circle, because I'll show you. I'm gonna
- 15:12Speaker 2: push you outside your box. If you're not ready to
- 15:15Speaker 2: step outside your box, don't come this away. I can
- 15:18Speaker 2: tell you that.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Much, right.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Right, So you know and letting me come on, I
- 15:33Speaker 2: truly like I love being on the w BNN. I
- 15:37Speaker 2: don't get an opportunity to come on here that much
- 15:40Speaker 2: because I truly enjoy being behind the scenes and allowing
- 15:43Speaker 2: you guys to allow your voice to be heard. But
- 15:46Speaker 2: twenty twenty five, I'm gonna slow up on writing books
- 15:52Speaker 2: and do more of connecting with people this way and
- 15:57Speaker 2: in person. So y'all gonna see us out doing comfort
- 16:00Speaker 2: sits and workshops and doing stuff so that we can
- 16:03Speaker 2: as we heal, we can help you heal because what
- 16:08Speaker 2: we're all going through something, we're all dealing with something,
- 16:11Speaker 2: and there's no perfect people walking around here. Somebody is
- 16:15Speaker 2: always dealing with something. It's just about what we are
- 16:18Speaker 2: willing to do deal with what we got going on.
- 16:23Speaker 2: And I believe that people can heal hurt people can
- 16:29Speaker 2: be heal people that heal people.
- 16:31Speaker 1: So hey, yep, you know, while I'm just here listening,
- 16:46Speaker 1: I just want to just let everybody know out there,
- 16:49Speaker 1: when a person is going through grief, just listen to them,
- 16:56Speaker 1: let them talk, give them that opportunity just to talk,
- 17:00Speaker 1: just to get it out. Don't interrupt them, don't just
- 17:05Speaker 1: be there and just let them get it out. You know.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I experienced that, Angela, when I would have moments and
- 17:15Speaker 1: we'd be on the phone, she would just be listening
- 17:19Speaker 1: and I would just be talking. When my sister early
- 17:24Speaker 1: in the morning, when she called me, they listen. And
- 17:29Speaker 1: one thing when I called my mother when I have
- 17:32Speaker 1: I had a moment this past Saturday, and all I
- 17:40Speaker 1: wanted was to hear my mother's voice and I couldn't.
- 17:45Speaker 1: She wasn't answering her phone. And I had to call
- 17:49Speaker 1: my sister because I knew they was together, and I
- 17:52Speaker 1: just asked her, I said, where's Mama. I need to
- 17:54Speaker 1: speak to Mama. And right then and there, my sister
- 17:58Speaker 1: knew that I needed because she heard it in my voice.
- 18:03Speaker 1: And when my mother got on the phone.
- 18:06Speaker 2: She talked to me.
- 18:07Speaker 1: She said, just go in the bathroom and cut the work.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Get ready to go. I mostly later. All right, y'all,
- 18:17Speaker 2: have a good night. All right, all right
