- 1:30Speaker 4: DeMuro Rich on tech. Yes, for the latest in tech
- 1:34Speaker 4: that anything else we can come come up with to
- 1:37Speaker 4: get through this morning quicker.
- 1:38Speaker 1: It will be great Tuesday.
- 1:40Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Here on the Woodies Show. So February a couple of
- 1:45Speaker 4: things to look forward to. Obviously, you got the Super
- 1:47Speaker 4: Bowl on Sunday, Seahawks and Patriots. That's super Bowl sixty.
- 1:51Speaker 4: The Daytona five hundred is this month.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Nice. That's another thing.
- 1:56Speaker 4: There never seems to be any kind of break from
- 1:58Speaker 4: like you were talking about how like UFC is off
- 2:02Speaker 4: for six weeks.
- 2:04Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that's it the area.
- 2:05Speaker 1: There's a six week off season.
- 2:07Speaker 5: And then that's all the time too, right.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Yeah, there's breaks months breaks, but there's other racing happening
- 2:14Speaker 1: at the same time. Like I just went to Formulate E,
- 2:17Speaker 1: but Formula one is not happening until March.
- 2:19Speaker 6: So for the record, Morgan has what he was getting
- 2:22Speaker 6: at there. NASCAR itself is a thirty eight week season. Okay, Yeah,
- 2:26Speaker 6: so there is breaks, just not there is breaks.
- 2:29Speaker 4: There is breaks, there is, but then there's always like
- 2:32Speaker 4: they try that with football, they always try to come
- 2:33Speaker 4: up with like the XFL or the American.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Football League the time. Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Also this month, you got the NBA All Star Game,
- 2:41Speaker 4: the Winter Olympics, those get started this Friday. Those on
- 2:44Speaker 4: through the twenty second on TV, The Big Muppet Show
- 2:48Speaker 4: special is this Wednesday on ABC and Disney Plus The
- 2:52Speaker 4: New Burbs Show based on Remember the Tom Hanks movie.
- 2:55Speaker 7: Yeah, it's like kind of a comedy.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Nineteen eighty nine.
- 2:58Speaker 4: That starts on Peacock this Sunday. You got season twenty
- 3:02Speaker 4: four Family Guy that starts. The Voice is back on
- 3:06Speaker 4: the twenty third. Survivor Season fifty starts on the twenty fifth. Crazy,
- 3:11Speaker 4: the New Scrubs reboot starts this month on ABC. In theaters,
- 3:18Speaker 4: we got Crime one oh one with Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry,
- 3:23Speaker 4: Mark Ruffalo is also in that. The new animated movie
- 3:26Speaker 4: Goat with Steph Curry, Nick Kroll, Jelly Roll and others.
- 3:30Speaker 4: That's on the thirteenth, and then Scream seven Damn hits
- 3:33Speaker 4: theaters February twenty seventh. Why would they come out with
- 3:35Speaker 4: that now? Why would they hold that toll? Like maybe
- 3:38Speaker 4: like late summer, it's too good weird by the way,
- 3:40Speaker 4: you know what I mean. Like, I think, just from
- 3:42Speaker 4: a marketing standpoint, this.
- 3:44Speaker 7: Is a very sleepy time of the year, so maybe
- 3:45Speaker 7: they think they should just cut their losses.
- 3:47Speaker 6: And I I just caught Scream two by accident, was
- 3:49Speaker 6: on the hotel. You know who's all over. That is
- 3:52Speaker 6: our close personal friend Jerry O'Connell. And let me say this,
- 3:56Speaker 6: I might have gone gay for scream to Jerry O'Connell.
- 4:00Speaker 6: He was playing Nev Campbell's boyfriend.
- 4:02Speaker 1: When they went off to college. His eyes, did you
- 4:05Speaker 1: get lost in him?
- 4:06Speaker 8: It was?
- 4:06Speaker 6: He was remarkably dreamy. Yeahsych, I to tell them next
- 4:10Speaker 6: time I see him.
- 4:11Speaker 4: For the holidays, the big ones, Valentine's Day obviously, the
- 4:14Speaker 4: fourteenth President's Day.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Is that a company holiday?
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yes?
- 4:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I be taking that day off.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Marty Girl on the seventeenth, and then all of February,
- 4:24Speaker 4: of course is Black History Month. Oh, going back to
- 4:27Speaker 4: the to the Olympics this story. Did you see the
- 4:31Speaker 4: story about that chick. She's a gold medalist Jakari Richardson.
- 4:35Speaker 7: Oh yeah, yeah, So she.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Was arrested charge was speeding in Florida last week. She
- 4:39Speaker 4: was going one hundred and four miles an hour. It happened, yeah,
- 4:43Speaker 4: just outside of Orlando when she got pulled over, Like
- 4:47Speaker 4: her whole trying to get out of it was ridiculous.
- 4:50Speaker 4: She was saying like, oh, I just didn't I didn't
- 4:52Speaker 4: know the car was going. I didn't know what it
- 4:54Speaker 4: was he's like, so you have no idea what your
- 4:56Speaker 4: car is doing. Yeah, he's like, no, he goes you.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Are going to jail. Oh yeah they picked a week. Yeah,
- 5:04Speaker 1: over a hundred though. Yeah, you automatically she is supposed
- 5:07Speaker 1: to go to jail. What's that to see the car?
- 5:08Speaker 1: She looks like maybe a Porsche ty King? Yeah, yeah,
- 5:12Speaker 1: I mean don't you get up to ninety without realizing it? Sometimes? Yes,
- 5:16Speaker 1: without realizing it?
- 5:17Speaker 6: Yeah, in the Tesla, as you certainly can. I did
- 5:20Speaker 6: the first time I was in a Tesla. Not the
- 5:21Speaker 6: cyber check, which rules obviously, but I rented. I rented
- 5:24Speaker 6: a Tesla in Florida, and that I was up. She's
- 5:28Speaker 6: an aston Martin actually, but I was going fast. Yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 6: ninety five easy.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Okay in those open roads. You're not paying attention. Yep, yep, yep.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Uh yeah, she cheat.
- 5:37Speaker 9: I don't think the road was open though, because part
- 5:39Speaker 9: of the thing he was saying, she was passing a
- 5:40Speaker 9: bunch of people.
- 5:41Speaker 1: She passed somebody like on the shoulder.
- 5:43Speaker 7: That's her thing, being fast, right, good one, thank you?
- 5:46Speaker 1: Yeah, super cool. The dumb ass.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Yeah, so she she got taken to jail. She's like, no,
- 5:51Speaker 4: I'm supposed to have practice or my coach or whatever's like,
- 5:54Speaker 4: do you think nobody came.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I didn't realize you had an excuse practice?
- 5:59Speaker 10: Then you know?
- 6:02Speaker 1: All right?
- 6:03Speaker 4: So phones open eight seven, seven forty four, Woodie, you
- 6:06Speaker 4: can says text over to two to ninety seven. This
- 6:09Speaker 4: one last thing. I'm not sure if it's this month.
- 6:10Speaker 4: It is in time for Easter. When is eastern now
- 6:13Speaker 4: in the March.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Something way farther away, I know, but.
- 6:16Speaker 1: They're gonna come up with this ahead of time.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Of course.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Gina April fifth, KFC jellybeans what okay?
- 6:26Speaker 1: Okay?
- 6:26Speaker 7: I mean I can I could write a ditty.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Yeah, So three flavors fried chicken, sweetcorn, and cravy.
- 6:32Speaker 7: Oh I but the sweet corn is so good.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Actually, the sweet corn might be okay, that.
- 6:36Speaker 7: One would be great because the popcorn flavor ones are awesome.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Yeah, the gravy one, I mean the fried chicken.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Amah, it may be good.
- 6:42Speaker 4: We'll have to dry quick break. More Woodies Show is
- 6:44Speaker 4: coming up next. Hang on the Woody Show.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Everybody that's listening to The Woody Show podcast right now,
- 6:51Speaker 1: if you're in the San Francisco Bay area, I will
- 6:53Speaker 1: be in San Francisco this Saturday doing a listener meetup.
- 6:57Speaker 1: That's February seventh. What's up, everybody, It's menace. I'll be
- 7:01Speaker 1: there with TCL Televisions. We're giving away a ninety eight
- 7:04Speaker 1: inch TCL TV. Also, i'll have some Woody Show merch
- 7:08Speaker 1: possibly chances to get into a Woody Show event, if
- 7:11Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, and so much more so,
- 7:13Speaker 1: I'd love to see you this Saturday in San Francisco.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I'll be at two fifty Main Street from three to
- 7:19Speaker 1: five pm with TCL. It's called the Crossing, but just
- 7:22Speaker 1: go to the address and I'll see you there three
- 7:25Speaker 1: to five pm this Saturday, February seventh, two fifty Main Street.
- 7:29Speaker 11: Lead a show of Hans Who's getting I'm not askin,
- 7:33Speaker 11: I'm demanding.
- 7:35Speaker 12: It's the Bodies.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Show, all right.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Well, we got the the Birthdays and the port of
- 7:40Speaker 4: Birthday coming up. This whole story with the Savannah guthrieo
- 7:44Speaker 4: from the Today Show.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I been tracking it. It's it's pretty crazy.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I first heard a false report saying it was her missing.
- 7:54Speaker 7: No, and then yeah, I.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Mean like I mean she was missing. She was not
- 7:58Speaker 1: on the Today Show yet?
- 7:59Speaker 7: Yeah, right, for good reason huh, but there's even yeah,
- 8:02Speaker 7: there's newer updates.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Yeah, the updates that it's a crime scene and her mom. Uh.
- 8:09Speaker 1: It's like they they initially thought like, Okay, maybe she
- 8:12Speaker 1: has some Alzheimer's or something, and then she's walking out
- 8:16Speaker 1: of her house, but she was of Alzheimer's. Are Alzheimer's
- 8:20Speaker 1: what is it Alzheimer's?
- 8:22Speaker 4: Maybe some people say all timers, old timers are old timers. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:28Speaker 4: like uh, like he said the all time record, I
- 8:31Speaker 4: hate the Alzheimer's. Yeah, old timers.
- 8:33Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, but she was of sound mind, but
- 8:36Speaker 1: she did have mobility problems. So they are like, there's
- 8:38Speaker 1: no way that she left the house on her own.
- 8:40Speaker 7: Yeah, And the sheriff has a press conference and he says,
- 8:43Speaker 7: we do need the community's help. This is a problem.
- 8:45Speaker 4: You love all that true crime stuff, and man, I
- 8:47Speaker 4: feel bad when you know, you talk about these things
- 8:50Speaker 4: you watch like those those shows, or you hear about
- 8:52Speaker 4: this story. I mean it's a I mean it's a
- 8:54Speaker 4: fascinating story, but at the same time, it's like, man,
- 8:57Speaker 4: that's real life. When somebody is she right, somebody's really
- 9:00Speaker 4: missing or scary, you know, somebody is really truly brutally
- 9:03Speaker 4: murdered into these cases and things that you watch, like
- 9:05Speaker 4: people get wrapped up. I think they get there's like
- 9:07Speaker 4: a blurred line between reality and totally what you're watching
- 9:11Speaker 4: as this you know TV show in forty eight hours.
- 9:13Speaker 7: And there's a meme I always think about where it
- 9:15Speaker 7: says like something like, imagine you get murdered and somebody
- 9:18Speaker 7: skips your episode because it's boring. Right, Oh yeah, you know,
- 9:21Speaker 7: like can you imagine?
- 9:22Speaker 8: Man?
- 9:22Speaker 1: That sucks? Yeah, that sucks. Well.
- 9:25Speaker 4: We got a couple of stories in the news. Kim
- 9:28Speaker 4: Kardashian is reportedly dating F one star Lewis Hamilton.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I brought this up just for you minutes.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I don't know who Lewis Hamilton is.
- 9:36Speaker 4: I know who Kim Kardashians just don't care about.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Carton is one of the like the champion of all time.
- 9:43Speaker 1: He's tied with somebody else.
- 9:44Speaker 6: Is he the Tom Bradios?
- 9:45Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 9:45Speaker 1: Yeah, he has them Radio F one. He had a
- 9:48Speaker 1: really really bad season last season when he joined Ferrari.
- 9:51Speaker 1: He's been with Mercedes for a very long time. But
- 9:55Speaker 1: he should be back on track this year because all
- 9:58Speaker 1: the cars are literally they should all be on equal
- 10:01Speaker 1: playing fields because all the cars changed questions. But I
- 10:07Speaker 1: did say, you know what, this makes sense because this
- 10:09Speaker 1: is one of the last frontiers that the Kardashians have
- 10:12Speaker 1: not monetized. These motorsports. Well, yeah, so the thing I saw,
- 10:16Speaker 1: I said.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Kim Kardashian is reportedly dating F one star Lewis Hamilton,
- 10:20Speaker 4: who was linked to Kendall Jenner a decade ago. The
- 10:26Speaker 4: new Fast and Furious movie is gonna be called Fast Forever.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Seedbats Yeah, be coming out March of twenty twenty eight.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Some music news Megadeth's final studio album is also its
- 10:41Speaker 4: first number one album.
- 10:43Speaker 1: That was interesting. Do you know who's a big Fast
- 10:44Speaker 1: and Furies had real quick though? Tyler heavy t. I
- 10:48Speaker 1: don't see him as a fast guy, right, you kidding?
- 10:52Speaker 4: That's that's that's the classic seed bat I'm sorry, the
- 10:55Speaker 4: classic sarcasm.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, he's diehard. He has like lake sets, all
- 11:00Speaker 1: kinds of stuff. This is shock.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Yeah, Jimmy World's gonna play all five dates of the
- 11:05Speaker 4: band's Warped tour and Deaftones. They're the latest to sell
- 11:08Speaker 4: most of their music rights to Warner Music Group and
- 11:11Speaker 4: a deal worth and estimated forty one to seventy five
- 11:14Speaker 4: million dollars.
- 11:15Speaker 7: Everybody's doing it.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I don't understand these deals though. You hear about these
- 11:19Speaker 1: mega deals and they sell the catalog. I don't really
- 11:22Speaker 1: understand how it works and how the investment works.
- 11:26Speaker 6: Yeah, the return to TV shows and movies and commercials.
- 11:30Speaker 4: And like, I mean, how much No offense to the Deaftones.
- 11:33Speaker 4: I like the Deaftones, but how much of their music
- 11:35Speaker 4: is getting picked up for tampon commercials and stuff?
- 11:37Speaker 1: You know how many?
- 11:39Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 11:39Speaker 4: Or like just for different things. So yeah, maybe you
- 11:42Speaker 4: do take I don't know exactly where. Now, that's a
- 11:44Speaker 4: pretty wide range there, forty one to seventy five million,
- 11:48Speaker 4: But either way, even forty one million dollars a lot
- 11:50Speaker 4: of money.
- 11:50Speaker 7: Let's say fifty five million, that's a good deal.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I take that. It's pretty good.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Also, this is kind of interesting story. Is homosexuality the
- 11:58Speaker 4: best thing that's ever happened to hockey? That was that's
- 12:00Speaker 4: the question, And as a hockey fan, I'm like, what
- 12:03Speaker 4: the hell are they talking about? The answer is yes.
- 12:06Speaker 7: Because of that, there has.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Been an increase in NHL ticket sales, and the folks
- 12:11Speaker 4: over at the ticket site seat Geek, they think it's
- 12:14Speaker 4: thanks to quote the spicy and secret romance of Heated Rivalry.
- 12:19Speaker 4: I'd look it up because I'd never heard.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Of Heated Rivalry loves It.
- 12:22Speaker 4: It's a popular romantic drama series streaming on HBO Max
- 12:26Speaker 4: that follows eight an eight year secret and passionate relationship
- 12:29Speaker 4: between rival professional hockey players, and created by Jacob Tierney
- 12:35Speaker 4: based on Rachel Read's popular novel series. It's a queer
- 12:39Speaker 4: character driven story exploring love, fame, and sport.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the definition.
- 12:45Speaker 4: I go, what the hell is heated rivalry?
- 12:46Speaker 7: That's what it's when me crystallize it further. I haven't
- 12:49Speaker 7: seen it, but every single person I think, including Greg
- 12:51Speaker 7: I've talked to, says it's basically straight, straight up poorn.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Not straight not straight porn.
- 12:56Speaker 1: But it's definitely leans in the fan base female, big time,
- 13:00Speaker 1: big time.
- 13:01Speaker 4: So why base it in hockey because that's what you like.
- 13:06Speaker 7: It's a forbidden romance.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Okay.
- 13:08Speaker 4: So the people over at Sea Geek they analyzed three
- 13:11Speaker 4: different week long periods during the season so far, and
- 13:13Speaker 4: they compared it with the same time last year. Ticket
- 13:16Speaker 4: sales up twenty four percent the same time the first
- 13:20Speaker 4: episode aired on HBO Max. After the show aired, there
- 13:24Speaker 4: was an increase in the average ticket price from one
- 13:26Speaker 4: hundred and twenty seven bucks to one hundred and forty
- 13:29Speaker 4: two bucks. There's also an increased in first time purchasers
- 13:33Speaker 4: and solo ticket sales.
- 13:34Speaker 7: That's what it is.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Coincidence At the very least, the show has increased the
- 13:38Speaker 4: interest in hockey.
- 13:39Speaker 1: It's the Taylor Swift effect with the NFL.
- 13:41Speaker 4: H It's inspired people to check out a game.
- 13:43Speaker 7: Great, you think, then do you think the NHL is
- 13:45Speaker 7: just a little bit bummed that this is the reason.
- 13:47Speaker 7: You think it's just great? Overall?
- 13:49Speaker 1: They'll ticket?
- 13:50Speaker 4: I mean, look, the NHL has tried a lot of
- 13:53Speaker 4: different things to get people more interested or put you know,
- 13:55Speaker 4: hockey on people's radar. I think the Stadium series did
- 13:58Speaker 4: that for a while. And my son, who's a massive
- 14:01Speaker 4: hockey fan, he was even making the point and you
- 14:03Speaker 4: could tell me, fellow hockey fans, if he's got to
- 14:06Speaker 4: p I think I think he does. It was always
- 14:08Speaker 4: cool because it was always like New Year's Day. There
- 14:11Speaker 4: was like the the Winter Classic, right and they would
- 14:14Speaker 4: play like a Wrigley Field or wherever it was right,
- 14:17Speaker 4: and that was always cool and you knew what was
- 14:19Speaker 4: gonna happen. It seemed to be like a regular thing.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Now they do the stadium series, and he goes, dude,
- 14:23Speaker 4: they have done such a terrible job promoting this. I'm
- 14:25Speaker 4: not even sure it was going on and when it happened.
- 14:27Speaker 4: And he's and he's a big hockey fan, and they
- 14:30Speaker 4: just don't do a very good job at the at
- 14:32Speaker 4: marketing and promoting the stadium series stuff. Now going to
- 14:37Speaker 4: one of the games at the stadiums blows, Oh yeah,
- 14:40Speaker 4: because you're you're you're you're a football field away from
- 14:42Speaker 4: the action. Yeah, because like hockey, you got to be
- 14:44Speaker 4: right up on it, right just because like the boards
- 14:46Speaker 4: come up, you got the glass, you got the whole thing.
- 14:48Speaker 4: So to see like kind of down in front. Not
- 14:50Speaker 4: to mention you're kind of at a distance because it's
- 14:52Speaker 4: a low baseball stadium or a football stadium not built
- 14:55Speaker 4: for for hockey. It's an experience as but like if
- 15:00Speaker 4: you're there, you know, and also like yeah, typically they've
- 15:04Speaker 4: really like running some bad luck over the years where
- 15:07Speaker 4: you know, yes they'll be in Boston, it'll be January,
- 15:10Speaker 4: but it's like the warmest day in Boston history, and
- 15:12Speaker 4: so if they're just trying to keep the ice huh frozen?
- 15:15Speaker 4: You know, right, it just turns out to be like
- 15:17Speaker 4: a big pain in the ass.
- 15:18Speaker 6: But I mean, and there's nobody having gay sex in
- 15:20Speaker 6: the car, I they know, So yeah, how do you
- 15:22Speaker 6: shoehorn that into the games to keep those fans coming back?
- 15:28Speaker 1: Gina grad what you got?
- 15:29Speaker 7: Well, President Trump, He's a little pissed off at Trevor
- 15:32Speaker 7: Noah after a couple of jokes he made at the Grammys,
- 15:35Speaker 7: and he's even threatening to sue him over it. And
- 15:37Speaker 7: he jumped up on truth Social to call it the
- 15:41Speaker 7: worst show, virtually unwatchable, and then he set his sights
- 15:44Speaker 7: on Noah specifically. But he said, that is a Grammy. Oh,
- 15:47Speaker 7: that's a Grammy that almost every artist wants as much
- 15:50Speaker 7: as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein's island
- 15:53Speaker 7: is gone, so he he needs a new one to
- 15:55Speaker 7: hang out with with Bill Clinton. That was a joke,
- 16:00Speaker 7: was Son. That was the joke on the Grammy. I
- 16:02Speaker 7: don't to hang out with.
- 16:03Speaker 4: So many people made political statements during the Grammy. Now,
- 16:06Speaker 4: I to be fair, I did not watch the Grammys.
- 16:08Speaker 4: I didn't either because I don't care. But That's one
- 16:10Speaker 4: of the major reasons that first of all, I don't
- 16:13Speaker 4: really care about these celebrities to begin with, don't care
- 16:15Speaker 4: who wins. And when it comes to movies, probably haven't
- 16:18Speaker 4: seen it.
- 16:18Speaker 5: You don't care about their offits.
- 16:19Speaker 4: It's well, it's a lot of the artists and stuff
- 16:21Speaker 4: for the music stuff like probably haven't heard it.
- 16:23Speaker 7: And you know who agreed with you, Ricky Gervais.
- 16:26Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 16:26Speaker 4: But the thing is like nobody's tuning in to hear
- 16:28Speaker 4: like you know, Billie Eilish and her you know what,
- 16:31Speaker 4: or but whoever from the other stade if there would
- 16:33Speaker 4: be somebody from the other side, Like, that's not why
- 16:34Speaker 4: you're tuning in a lot of times, it's music and
- 16:37Speaker 4: it's movies and stuff as an escape.
- 16:38Speaker 1: That's the CMAS.
- 16:39Speaker 4: What's oh yeah, the Cmas.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Well, Jelly Roll is getting a lot of flak because
- 16:47Speaker 1: he did dodge some questions about why he didn't make
- 16:50Speaker 1: political statement.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Well why yeah, but again, like why are you asking
- 16:53Speaker 4: somebody who actually just keeps you know, keeps it to
- 16:56Speaker 4: the music and keeps taking.
- 16:57Speaker 7: Dolly's been doing it for sixty years. She's not going
- 16:59Speaker 7: to get it right, Like, come on, man, So Trump's
- 17:02Speaker 7: all pissed, and he said, Noah, a total loser, gets
- 17:04Speaker 7: his facts.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Chick don't care? Ye skip it.
- 17:06Speaker 7: Well he's yeah, he's big.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Man, a right, who cares? Who cares about any of it?
- 17:11Speaker 7: Though, looked so skinny like it.
- 17:14Speaker 14: I don't.
- 17:14Speaker 7: He's unrecognizable.
- 17:16Speaker 5: I mean, I'm happy for him, but he's a whole
- 17:17Speaker 5: different person.
- 17:18Speaker 7: It bumps me out. I like, big jolly jelly roll.
- 17:21Speaker 5: He's going to need surgery soon.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I think.
- 17:25Speaker 4: That's the goal, dude, The goals to lose so much
- 17:27Speaker 4: weight that you need to have the skin surgery otherwise.
- 17:29Speaker 1: You look weird. Ye apparently apparently the skin surgery.
- 17:35Speaker 4: I met somebody who did it, and they just talked
- 17:37Speaker 4: about how brutal the recovery of.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Sisters did it.
- 17:41Speaker 4: Okay, skin surgery, but I spoke to somebody personally and
- 17:46Speaker 4: they were just talking like they talked about just the pain,
- 17:49Speaker 4: like just searing pain.
- 17:51Speaker 1: They said, you feel like you're on fire.
- 17:53Speaker 5: But they're skinny now, so I'm sure they would choose
- 17:55Speaker 5: it again.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's the thing is that they were skinny.
- 17:57Speaker 4: They just had that extra skin, so you know, but
- 18:00Speaker 4: he's like a sharpey. Yeah, they were very skinny, a
- 18:02Speaker 4: lot of skin, yeah exactly. But like this dude, he
- 18:05Speaker 4: had like almost fifty pounds of skin removed.
- 18:08Speaker 7: That's possible.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Yeah, sweet fifty Like you imagine you just wake up
- 18:12Speaker 4: your fifty pounds.
- 18:13Speaker 1: That's see, that's there.
- 18:14Speaker 10: We got that.
- 18:16Speaker 8: All right.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Time for the birthdays, say, were gonna shiver, We're gonna
- 18:23Speaker 4: sit bat.
- 18:24Speaker 8: Like it's Shiday, and you know you don't do all right.

- 18:49Speaker 4: that three foot six midget. Oh yeah, Professor flint Wick
- 18:53Speaker 4: and the Goblin Grip Hook and the Harry Potter movies.

- 19:24Speaker 4: half years for fraud involving luxury goods.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Lad say yeah, Savida jess Ski accident.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Thank you only to go to prison now. That's Sean
- 19:35Speaker 4: Kingston who is thirty six years old today, and your
- 19:37Speaker 4: porno birthday is Vanna Bardo and today's birthday girl. She's
- 19:42Speaker 4: had more people finger her than a Costco free sample

- 19:50Speaker 4: has a Magic Tongue. She was in Secret Scissoring Volume one,
- 19:55Speaker 4: also Grandpa's Three Way Getaway Volumes one and two. She
- 20:00Speaker 4: was fantastic and my annoying stepsister ruined my relationship, dang it.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Also Vanna's in boots while fingering herself. She was in
- 20:09Speaker 4: Vana's voracious oral appetite and who can forget her unfear

- 20:29Speaker 4: here on the Woody Show.
- 20:31Speaker 8: Woody Show.
- 20:36Speaker 1: All right, welcome back everybody. Day, February is here. We're
- 20:39Speaker 1: talking about some of the things happening this month.
- 20:41Speaker 4: If you need something to look forward to. But dry
- 20:44Speaker 4: January finally over. Oh no, It's important to take it
- 20:50Speaker 4: slow when you return to drinking because tolerance for alcohol
- 20:53Speaker 4: is likely gone down there. Yeah, and so drinking, you know,
- 20:57Speaker 4: just a beer or a glass of wine may affect
- 20:59Speaker 4: you more than it did before.
- 21:01Speaker 5: Lucky, that's awesome.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Pretty much just all or nothing with me. Was anybody
- 21:05Speaker 1: doing the dry January?
- 21:06Speaker 3: Ear?
- 21:06Speaker 7: I mean I did it unintentionally, k much in drink
- 21:10Speaker 7: much either, But unintentional I.
- 21:12Speaker 5: Did, but I started like a couple of days into January.
- 21:14Speaker 7: Accounts.
- 21:14Speaker 4: People may also be more likely to go to extremes
- 21:18Speaker 4: after restricting something in their life, like after being on
- 21:20Speaker 4: a diet, for example, Like you want to eat a
- 21:23Speaker 4: lot of food to make up for the time that
- 21:25Speaker 4: you weren't.
- 21:25Speaker 7: Able to That's why they say don't starve yourself.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Yeah, The same is true for drinking. You don't want to,
- 21:30Speaker 4: you know, undo any benefit you got from the past
- 21:32Speaker 4: month by you know, drinking more than you did in December.
- 21:34Speaker 12: But uh.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Time yeah, backload it also one more quick thing when
- 21:41Speaker 4: we're talking about booze, Sex and alcohol make people happier
- 21:45Speaker 4: than having children, you, guys, I don't believe it. Researchers
- 21:50Speaker 4: study participants to rank a list of thirty activities on
- 21:54Speaker 4: how pleasurable, meaningful, and engaging they are, and sex topped
- 21:58Speaker 4: all three categories. Drinking alcohol came in a close second.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Raising kids came in fifth a distance, but out of
- 22:06Speaker 4: thirty activities, fifth it should be thirty Yeah, how about
- 22:10Speaker 4: thirty B. It's not even thirty eight thirty B anything yeah,
- 22:16Speaker 4: anything like drinking.
- 22:17Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 22:17Speaker 4: The raising kids part is what sucks. Yeah, Like the
- 22:21Speaker 4: kids themselves can be fine. It's the having to be
- 22:23Speaker 4: a parent part, which I've I've tried to explain a
- 22:26Speaker 4: billion times to different people, you know about there's a
- 22:29Speaker 4: difference between you can love your kids, but you can
- 22:32Speaker 4: hate being a parent. Because the hating being a parent
- 22:35Speaker 4: is all the stuff that you know, the disciplinarian, Yeah,
- 22:38Speaker 4: dealing with stuff as it comes up like, oh man,
- 22:40Speaker 4: you got something. There was a problem at school, or
- 22:42Speaker 4: the kids going through some kind of like either mental
- 22:44Speaker 4: health or you know, kind of crisis on their own,
- 22:47Speaker 4: or they got themselves in some really big trouble.
- 22:49Speaker 1: But you're the parent, so you're the one has to
- 22:50Speaker 1: do Like, that's the stuff that sucks.
- 22:52Speaker 7: It's this role you have to play that you don't
- 22:54Speaker 7: always love what you.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Don't get when you're the grandparent, you're the aunt, you're
- 22:57Speaker 4: the uncle. It's just the good stuff. Yeah, yeah, who
- 23:00Speaker 4: gets joy out of raising kids? Yeah, I'm still in
- 23:03Speaker 4: the age where's pretty fun.
- 23:04Speaker 7: But I know what's coming.
- 23:05Speaker 5: Make it makes sense, They would say, massing mathe mathings.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Yeah, the math and method. Well, don't be mathis bizarre phenomenon. Well,
- 23:15Speaker 1: because I have been that drunk. Oh yeah, I've barbed
- 23:17Speaker 1: dumpsters dumpster hell.
- 23:19Speaker 8: Yeah, bro.
- 23:19Speaker 1: And there's times I wake up and I don't remember
- 23:21Speaker 1: getting back to my room. I don't remember how I
- 23:24Speaker 1: got drowsed. Yeah, and now back to the Woodie Show.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Status is current. It's the missing Greg Gory out again.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Today.
- 23:37Speaker 4: I talked to him a little bit yesterday he did
- 23:39Speaker 4: Yeah too.
- 23:41Speaker 1: So sick, I'm so sick. I can never fly every Yeah,
- 23:45Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, This is a great excuse for him.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I'm sure he hates being sick, but he's loving it
- 23:51Speaker 1: because he can always go back to it.
- 23:53Speaker 7: Look, i'd love to fly.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I love last one.
- 23:55Speaker 4: He's got the immune system of the guy in the
- 23:58Speaker 4: movie Philadelphia, like the guy. He gets sick so easy.
- 24:02Speaker 7: Yeah, he's like the cripkeeper.
- 24:04Speaker 10: Dude.
- 24:04Speaker 1: It's crazy how easy he gets sick, goes down hard. Yeah.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Right, and it's it's you know, it's either he's fine
- 24:11Speaker 4: or he's on Death's door show.
- 24:13Speaker 7: Yeah, he's not well.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Yeah, anyway, we're currently currently missing. Yeah, I'll beg My
- 24:18Speaker 4: name is Woody. That is menace. Yeah, Gina Grad is here,
- 24:22Speaker 4: Sea Mass, Sammy Morgan phones are open eight seven seven
- 24:26Speaker 4: forty four. Woody check An, says the text over to
- 24:29Speaker 4: two two nine eight seven. Gina Grad's got the trending
- 24:32Speaker 4: news headlines.
- 24:33Speaker 7: Yeah, Well, we have a little more info on the
- 24:35Speaker 7: disappearance of Today's show hosts Savannah Guthries' mom. Authorities say
- 24:39Speaker 7: they found blood and signs of forced entry inside Nancy
- 24:42Speaker 7: Guthrie's house in Arizona. Well, they're leading people to think, Yeah,
- 24:46Speaker 7: I was probably a kidnapping. Investigators think she was taking
- 24:49Speaker 7: from her house after coming home from dinner and was
- 24:51Speaker 7: reported missing when she didn't show up for church on Sunday.
- 24:54Speaker 7: She'd never cars, she never cell phone, and as we've
- 24:57Speaker 7: been talking about, she's eighty four years old. The cops
- 24:59Speaker 7: says she is very limited mobility, She needs medication and
- 25:03Speaker 7: that things could become life threatening if she goes too
- 25:05Speaker 7: long without those meds. Detectives are looking at DNA evidence
- 25:08Speaker 7: and offering a twenty five hundred dollars reward. They also
- 25:11Speaker 7: seen security camera footage and Nancy's cell phone and added
- 25:15Speaker 7: that quote, they don't see this as a search mission
- 25:17Speaker 7: as much as they do a crime scene.
- 25:19Speaker 4: So is it just a we gotta wonder like and
- 25:21Speaker 4: we'll find out, I'm sure at some point, just something
- 25:23Speaker 4: completely random? Was she targeted because she's Savannah Guphie?
- 25:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I mom, it's some meth heads who knew that
- 25:31Speaker 1: it's her mom knew that she's a millionaire. And then
- 25:35Speaker 1: they're like, well, let's get an apper and then hold
- 25:39Speaker 1: her for rand.
- 25:39Speaker 7: So where's the ram?
- 25:41Speaker 12: Right?
- 25:41Speaker 1: Yeah, where's that message? Well they have to come down
- 25:43Speaker 1: from their stupid high.
- 25:44Speaker 5: Am I the only one that thinks twenty five hundred
- 25:46Speaker 5: is really low.
- 25:47Speaker 7: I was going to say the same thing. That's I
- 25:49Speaker 7: think that's from the department. I'm sure Savannah will have
- 25:52Speaker 7: yeah right her back.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Yeah, she's a standard.
- 25:54Speaker 15: And Savannah said she's unaware of any threats against her
- 25:57Speaker 15: or anyone targeting her.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Specifically, con methead who want to target Savannah Guthrie very random.
- 26:03Speaker 5: Some socks right.
- 26:04Speaker 1: No, No, it's a cautionary tale, trying to tell you.
- 26:13Speaker 8: Well.
- 26:13Speaker 7: Former President Clinton Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary have
- 26:16Speaker 7: agreed to testify in the investigation into their relationship with
- 26:19Speaker 7: Jeffrey Epstein. The couple said nah dog for months, but
- 26:24Speaker 7: once lawmakers were about to vote on holding them in
- 26:26Speaker 7: contempt of Congress, they caved. Their lawyers said that they'll
- 26:29Speaker 7: come in for a deposition, but officials are still pushing
- 26:32Speaker 7: for a more formal sworn testimony that's like, you know,
- 26:35Speaker 7: do you cross your heart and hope to die and
- 26:36Speaker 7: tell us the truth if prosecutors and are If prosecuted
- 26:40Speaker 7: and convicted, the Clintons could serve anywhere between a month
- 26:44Speaker 7: and a year in prison. But this is what's going
- 26:45Speaker 7: to break them. They could be fined one thousand dollars
- 26:50Speaker 7: in prison for what they could be in prison for
- 26:53Speaker 7: a month.
- 26:54Speaker 1: On what though the charge? Testifying or lying? Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 27:02Speaker 1: what's Hillary have to do with anything?
- 27:04Speaker 11: You never know?
- 27:05Speaker 1: I mean, I haven't gone through the three million files
- 27:08Speaker 1: up up I onto the island or anything.
- 27:12Speaker 7: I didn't go through the files. I just went through
- 27:13Speaker 7: people who went through the files. And I can't take anymore.
- 27:17Speaker 7: But did you see that picture that's going around that's
- 27:20Speaker 7: it's disgusting. They look at that picture. There's two frozen
- 27:23Speaker 7: chickens and in between them on the table there's a
- 27:25Speaker 7: baby's foot. They're eating baby's feet. And then it's like
- 27:29Speaker 7: a it's like an old art installation. And there's even
- 27:32Speaker 7: a watermark when it.
- 27:33Speaker 4: Comes to crazy when it comes to Bill Clinton specifically,
- 27:36Speaker 4: like again.
- 27:37Speaker 1: This is not the surprise a poon house.
- 27:39Speaker 13: I would just assume.
- 27:40Speaker 7: Yeah, I'd be shocked if he was.
- 27:42Speaker 4: He's on that list and he's involved, Yeah, you know
- 27:46Speaker 4: things that he shouldn't be involved in.
- 27:48Speaker 8: What that s?
- 27:49Speaker 4: I want to hear more like the Robin Leech stuff
- 27:51Speaker 4: like why or some of the Bill Gates stuff or
- 27:55Speaker 4: you know, you could see it. Then once you hear
- 27:56Speaker 4: a name you go, Yeah, I guess.
- 27:58Speaker 7: I could see that trying to dose his with STD medicaid.
- 28:01Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 28:01Speaker 4: Like, but when it comes to people like you know again,
- 28:04Speaker 4: Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Yeah, like these known known creeps.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Yeah, like, that's that's not the stuff that I really covered.
- 28:12Speaker 1: You know that Robert Leech allegedly murdered murdering somebody. That's
- 28:16Speaker 1: pretty crazy crazy.
- 28:17Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Oh have you seen that guy on social media who
- 28:20Speaker 1: claims that he's Bill Clinton's son from Arkansas? No, yeah, dude, Yeah,
- 28:26Speaker 1: he's half black and he looked dead ass like Billy.
- 28:32Speaker 5: He's been making videos like that for a while, right.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:34Speaker 5: Oh, I'm gonna have so we just started GoFundMe for
- 28:36Speaker 5: them if they have to pay that though.
- 28:38Speaker 7: For the Clintons, I absolutely agree. Well, a huge investigation
- 28:41Speaker 7: is going down after the FBI and Vegas SWAT found
- 28:44Speaker 7: a possible bio lab inside a house in Nevada. Agents
- 28:48Speaker 7: stormed the place, found fridges and vials with a bunch
- 28:50Speaker 7: of unknown liquids inside. Has Matt teams came in to
- 28:53Speaker 7: remove everything and let everyone know that there's no longer
- 28:56Speaker 7: a threat to the public.
- 28:56Speaker 1: You got to wonder what's going on with these things
- 28:58Speaker 1: It's not the first one like this.
- 29:00Speaker 7: There was another one in central California three years ago
- 29:03Speaker 7: and they found vials of HIV, COVID nineteen and ebola
- 29:08Speaker 7: in that house, you know, just for a fun little time. Again,
- 29:11Speaker 7: it's not known what was in these vials in Vegas,
- 29:14Speaker 7: but the property manager has been arrested and they're continuing
- 29:17Speaker 7: that investing.
- 29:17Speaker 4: And you're worried about having a pet they don't know about.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Freaking out. You're gonna get found out. This guy has
- 29:24Speaker 1: vials of AIDS. I used nails to hang a couple
- 29:28Speaker 1: of pictures.
- 29:28Speaker 7: Yeah, put a little toothpaste over the holes. And nobody say, well,
- 29:33Speaker 7: maybe the game itself will be good, because according to
- 29:36Speaker 7: all the reports, super Bowl opening night was not that great.
- 29:39Speaker 7: The media day that kicks off the Super Bowl week
- 29:41Speaker 7: was smaller, it was quieter.
- 29:42Speaker 1: It was hell born.
- 29:45Speaker 7: Exactly so. The crowd was inside the San Jose Convention Center.
- 29:49Speaker 7: It was a fraction of the usual size. Opening nights
- 29:52Speaker 7: usually much bigger, and as the AP wrote in their report, quote,
- 29:55Speaker 7: there was no sign of the naked man in a barrel.
- 29:58Speaker 7: Nobody wore a wedding dress and propos to may reporters
- 30:01Speaker 7: weren't asking players to dance or perform odd tricks. One
- 30:04Speaker 7: guy did dress up his charizard board that's a Pokemon character.
- 30:08Speaker 7: Patriots quarterback Drake may He was asked, though. He was
- 30:11Speaker 7: asked hard hitting questions about his wife's baking and videos
- 30:15Speaker 7: on social media. Seahawks QB Sam Darnold was asked to
- 30:18Speaker 7: name his favorite coffee spot and burger joint and hobby
- 30:21Speaker 7: and food. So, yeah, it was very hard hitting.
- 30:23Speaker 4: I heard like yesterday, like for Media Day, it just
- 30:25Speaker 4: wasn't very well attended, Like, yeah, well nobody was a
- 30:28Speaker 4: small crowd.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I have a little theory because I know some people
- 30:32Speaker 1: that are going there that are working in the media
- 30:34Speaker 1: that they're all checking into their hotels an hour and
- 30:37Speaker 1: a half away. Literally just logistics, Yeah there is, Yeah,
- 30:41Speaker 1: but if your job is to cover media day, you're yeah,
- 30:43Speaker 1: the job is to cover like maybe getting a little
- 30:45Speaker 1: bit early. Yeah, you know, did you look it up
- 30:48Speaker 1: first to know like where the hotel was?
- 30:50Speaker 7: Did you map?
- 30:50Speaker 14: Question?
- 30:51Speaker 1: Was you're checking in in an entirely different city?
- 30:54Speaker 7: Like also, because you know, I don't know and I
- 30:56Speaker 7: know that we have I just found out we had
- 30:57Speaker 7: this Super Bowl bench up already. Do people not care
- 31:00Speaker 7: about this matchup.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I don't.
- 31:02Speaker 4: I'm not feeling a lot of exciting for it. It
- 31:04Speaker 4: just seems to be like, Okay, it's happening. The super
- 31:06Speaker 4: Bowl itself is a big deal, but like there just
- 31:09Speaker 4: doesn't really seem to be any kind of like fire
- 31:11Speaker 4: behind it.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Yeah, well, you know it's happening.
- 31:14Speaker 7: You could always do what I do and switch to
- 31:15Speaker 7: the puppy ball. It's always team rough against team Fluff.
- 31:18Speaker 7: And the makers of Firefox, the internet browser, have announced
- 31:21Speaker 7: that they've added some new AI controls. Menace. I want
- 31:24Speaker 7: to know what you know about this, because they're now.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Firefox is still around. Okay, well then I use Firefox.
- 31:31Speaker 7: You still do what as like a web browser like
- 31:35Speaker 7: on your phone?
- 31:35Speaker 1: Yeah? No on my laptop. Oh wow, okay, I'm ched.
- 31:39Speaker 7: So this is specifically for Woody. They're now giving users
- 31:42Speaker 7: the option to block current and future generative AI features,
- 31:46Speaker 7: so that basically means it's an AI off switch.
- 31:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 4: I've had the fewest problems since switching over to Firefox really.
- 31:53Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 31:55Speaker 7: Yeah, because a lot of times when something won't work
- 31:57Speaker 7: for me, which is a lot, they're like, are you
- 31:58Speaker 7: using Chrome? Yeah, we'll stop using Chrome yeh.
- 32:02Speaker 4: This one you need Internet Explorer like nah, and so
- 32:05Speaker 4: between this seems like they're always the ones that are
- 32:07Speaker 4: battling it out.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Yeah that or maybe Safari using mad with it. Yeah yeah.
- 32:12Speaker 4: But the Firefox never have have an issue. There's a
- 32:14Speaker 4: lot of things that are just I find to be
- 32:16Speaker 4: like a lot easier. Like I'm trying to get like
- 32:19Speaker 4: just a picture of like for this the show, like
- 32:22Speaker 4: doing stuff like, oh, I want to have a picture
- 32:24Speaker 4: of this guy got pulled over his.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Cars all jacked up and you know whatever.
- 32:28Speaker 4: So rather than copy it and try to like get
- 32:31Speaker 4: it to paste into something else, I can print it out.
- 32:33Speaker 4: I can just write click it says, take screenshot, click
- 32:35Speaker 4: on the thing I want like crop it really easy.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Yeah. And there's one thing in Boom right into the
- 32:40Speaker 1: ta it goes, you're right about this.
- 32:42Speaker 4: It's way ezy.
- 32:44Speaker 7: You're Google Chrome and you and you like click to
- 32:46Speaker 7: you know, download or you know, click to take the picture.
- 32:48Speaker 7: It's like, would you like to download Adobe Acrobat? No,
- 32:52Speaker 7: I just want to see it.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Maybe I was in a different dimension, but I swear
- 32:56Speaker 1: I thought it got discontinued Firefox, Yeah.
- 33:00Speaker 7: Going strong. They said they've heard complaints from people who
- 33:02Speaker 7: don't want AI at all, and this which will allow
- 33:06Speaker 7: them to browse AI free.
- 33:08Speaker 4: Yeah, and I have used you know, Google Chrome, Like
- 33:10Speaker 4: here in the studio, we're using Google Chrome, and I
- 33:13Speaker 4: have issues with it sometimes because we click on an article,
- 33:15Speaker 4: I just want to get a little piece of information.
- 33:17Speaker 4: You know, those articles are like paragraph advertisement, advertisements, something else.
- 33:21Speaker 4: Scroll down called date to the next little paragraph. But
- 33:24Speaker 4: there's a there's a caption underneath the photo they posted
- 33:26Speaker 4: there what you already read before you get so nope,
- 33:29Speaker 4: you click on the top. It has the text only
- 33:32Speaker 4: of the article that you're reading. Boom just brings it
- 33:34Speaker 4: all off. Firefox yep, okay.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Yeah, way way easier.
- 33:39Speaker 7: And it kind of makes sense if you said you
- 33:40Speaker 7: didn't know Firefox still existed and the people who the
- 33:43Speaker 7: only people who don't want AI are on Firefox, it
- 33:46Speaker 7: kind of makes sense like they kind of just want
- 33:48Speaker 7: to kick it original style and you know, not worry
- 33:51Speaker 7: about it.
- 33:51Speaker 1: And then also in this building, I know it's just
- 33:54Speaker 1: our building, but what if we type in like tmg
- 33:56Speaker 1: are like computer crashes.
- 33:59Speaker 7: The computer explode. It's crazy. Well, finally, surgeons at a
- 34:03Speaker 7: hospital in France were performing a procedure on this patient
- 34:06Speaker 7: when they discovered a World War One shell inside his butthole.
- 34:11Speaker 13: Oh so that.
- 34:12Speaker 7: Prompts a little panic, a little emergency evacuation.
- 34:15Speaker 1: You get there that it is probably like an old
- 34:18Speaker 1: war injury or something.
- 34:20Speaker 7: Document they had to call the bomb squad. It was crazy.
- 34:23Speaker 7: Turns out it wasn't some old war injury. Woody, It
- 34:26Speaker 7: just happened to get stuck up there in the last.
- 34:28Speaker 4: Look the guys in his twenties.
- 34:30Speaker 7: Yeah, I was not in World War anything. So apparently
- 34:34Speaker 7: the dude had been complaining about discomfort due to an
- 34:36Speaker 7: inserted object he had up his back door. The bomb
- 34:40Speaker 7: squad determined that the shell was harmless, but officials are
- 34:42Speaker 7: planning to charge him with a weapons violation.
- 34:45Speaker 4: You I mentioned you're a doctor. All of a sudden,
- 34:47Speaker 4: you see like a grenade and you had to clear
- 34:50Speaker 4: the hospital out.
- 34:51Speaker 1: It's just like, I don't know if I could do that,
- 34:54Speaker 1: go to the hospital. You don't have a choice that.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Yeah, you just reach up there and pull the plane.
- 35:00Speaker 1: At least die with respect, right, But then.
- 35:02Speaker 5: It'll come out after you're done.
- 35:03Speaker 1: That's yeah.
- 35:04Speaker 4: But yeah, family problem just die.
- 35:07Speaker 1: So your problem, you just die and hope they don't
- 35:09Speaker 1: find it. That's right.
- 35:11Speaker 4: Well, that's what's going on, all right, More Woody Shows
- 35:13Speaker 4: next hang on.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Late seven seven forty.
- 35:17Speaker 8: Four Woody you know, I'm not lading my mother's name,
- 35:21Speaker 8: oh my phone numbers, stamp.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Show. We got that Woody Show meet up, The Woodi
- 35:37Speaker 4: Show Meet Market happening Saturday, February twenty first at Brewery
- 35:41Speaker 4: X in Anaheim, and the band, the up and coming
- 35:45Speaker 4: band Dogma Society is going to be there performing live.
- 35:48Speaker 12: I know.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Uh.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Tim Martinez just knocked down all the details for all
- 35:51Speaker 4: the stuff that they need, you know, all the tech
- 35:53Speaker 4: stuff and whatever, so we got that all locked in.
- 35:56Speaker 4: They're going to be performing. It's free, so just come
- 35:58Speaker 4: on by. Everybody from the Woody Show is going to there.
- 36:00Speaker 4: We're just looking to you know, shake your hand and
- 36:02Speaker 4: hang out and have a drink or several and we're
- 36:05Speaker 4: gonna have it just a ton of prizes. Some other
- 36:07Speaker 4: stuff will be able to announce as we get closer
- 36:09Speaker 4: to that date. But again it's Saturday, February twenty first
- 36:13Speaker 4: market on your calendar. Coming out and hang out with
- 36:15Speaker 4: the Woodie Show and the band Dogma Society. That's this
- 36:19Speaker 4: band right here, We've been playing this song where it's
- 36:22Speaker 4: called see It All New Music Discovery.
- 36:26Speaker 1: We look how people with food poisoning feel.
- 36:29Speaker 4: Because yeah, so Google AI has made its Super Bowl
- 36:36Speaker 4: prediction verdiction. They have the Seattle Seahawks scoring twenty four
- 36:43Speaker 4: points and the New England Patriots scoring seventeen points. So
- 36:49Speaker 4: they got Seattle and quite honestly my prediction, that's way
- 36:53Speaker 4: too close.
- 36:54Speaker 7: Really, Oh think they're gonna run away.
- 36:56Speaker 4: I told you it's gonna be a blowout. I'm really,
- 36:59Speaker 4: I'm predicting blowout, like not even it's not gonna be
- 37:02Speaker 4: interesting at all. So it is little people seem to
- 37:04Speaker 4: be on the excitement scale for this game.
- 37:08Speaker 1: The game is going to be a disappointment, I believe.
- 37:10Speaker 1: I mean, it's fine. If blowouts happened, then the gathering
- 37:15Speaker 1: has become really food focused.
- 37:18Speaker 5: Then we don't have to pay attention to the game.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Espon ESPN has been reporting that the Seahawks will go
- 37:25Speaker 4: up for sale immediately following the super who owns them?
- 37:29Speaker 8: You know?
- 37:29Speaker 4: A team spokesman has denied the report.
- 37:31Speaker 1: I don't I don't know. I have no idea neither,
- 37:33Speaker 1: I have no idea.
- 37:34Speaker 4: But people are not happy I don't. I don't really
- 37:37Speaker 4: have a handle on fanatics. Like for those of you
- 37:39Speaker 4: who buy a lot of sports stuff, like most of
- 37:41Speaker 4: the stuff I'm buying I buy New Era hats.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Yeah, you know a lot.
- 37:47Speaker 4: And the one thing I can't find much anymore the
- 37:49Speaker 4: thirty nine thirties, Like everything is like the dude as
- 37:52Speaker 4: an older white guy, I can't. I can't pull off
- 37:55Speaker 4: that like well stiff top, flat brim where like you
- 37:58Speaker 4: can't like you know, curve of bit like I can't.
- 38:01Speaker 1: No, I can't trust me, I can't.
- 38:04Speaker 7: My husband's the same problem. Don't do it.
- 38:05Speaker 4: Yeah, the thirty nine thirties are the best. That's the
- 38:08Speaker 4: best hat that New Era makes.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Have you talked to Tyler, former employee of Lids Lid?
- 38:14Speaker 1: I didn't know they worked at I was a Lids manager.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Woa wow, Okay he has the look of a LIDS manager. Sure, yeah,
- 38:22Speaker 1: you're a manager at Lidd's.
- 38:24Speaker 13: I was, Yeah for about a year and a half.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Yeah, So like what like is there like a maybe
- 38:28Speaker 1: you have all the industry news? Have you followed the trade?
- 38:31Speaker 1: Are they getting rid.
- 38:31Speaker 16: Of the thirty nine thirties? No, they're just not as requested.
- 38:36Speaker 16: I guess as much anymore.
- 38:37Speaker 13: It's all about the fifty nine fifties, which are the
- 38:39Speaker 13: flatbird one.
- 38:40Speaker 1: What's the other one? The nine something?
- 38:41Speaker 13: There's the forty nine thirties, I think is what it is.
- 38:46Speaker 5: They have this stupid number names.
- 38:47Speaker 13: I actually do not know the ones that what he likes.
- 38:50Speaker 13: We just call him Dad hats.
- 38:51Speaker 4: Such Dad has the dad hats for like the slouch ones,
- 38:55Speaker 4: the ones that have no real structure and they have.
- 38:57Speaker 1: A strap in the back on the top. Yeah, they
- 38:59Speaker 1: have that.
- 39:00Speaker 7: They don't work.
- 39:01Speaker 16: Those both fall under the category. So it's basically dad hat,
- 39:06Speaker 16: snapbacks and fitted.
- 39:07Speaker 13: That's that's it.
- 39:07Speaker 1: That's the thing.
- 39:08Speaker 4: Everything I told you this is happened with the new balance.
- 39:11Speaker 4: This happened with the socks. This happened I guess now
- 39:14Speaker 4: with hats. Is that whatever I got like right now,
- 39:18Speaker 4: this is the Dad hat. Give it, give it two years,
- 39:22Speaker 4: three years, it'll be popping.
- 39:25Speaker 7: Yeah, for sure.
- 39:26Speaker 1: You know, you're just ahead of your time.
- 39:28Speaker 5: It goes in cycles.
- 39:30Speaker 1: It really does well. And also it's like the way
- 39:32Speaker 1: they fit well.
- 39:33Speaker 7: Your head is an optical illusion because it doesn't look
- 39:35Speaker 7: that big.
- 39:36Speaker 1: It's massive. It is what size are you?
- 39:40Speaker 12: No?
- 39:41Speaker 1: Like a fitted hat because Tyler. Tyler's an eight and
- 39:44Speaker 1: I can never find a hat for him.
- 39:46Speaker 13: Eight is the highest size they sell in stores.
- 39:48Speaker 4: And nine I've got to be because like Joe Koy
- 39:51Speaker 4: brought all these hats and everything, and Joe's telling me
- 39:54Speaker 4: he's got a big head, but look at he he's
- 39:55Speaker 4: got like a like a normal sized dome.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Yeah, my head is huge. So if you have like
- 40:01Speaker 1: a the one size fits all.
- 40:03Speaker 7: It doesn't.
- 40:04Speaker 1: It doesn't.
- 40:04Speaker 4: I'm the exception of that, Like you have to get
- 40:07Speaker 4: it out to at least where there's only like two
- 40:10Speaker 4: little clips, like two little snaps.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Yep, you know, two little buttons nothing. Yeah.
- 40:16Speaker 11: Uh.
- 40:16Speaker 4: And then even then sometimes it's not deep enough, like
- 40:20Speaker 4: like the hat it's so high up above my ears
- 40:22Speaker 4: and like it looks like yamaka.
- 40:24Speaker 8: Yeah. Yeah.
- 40:26Speaker 1: But another thing Tyler can do is the sewing on
- 40:28Speaker 1: the side of the hat. So if you want some customs,
- 40:30Speaker 1: they always ask if Yeah.
- 40:33Speaker 13: We were always trying to up charge people on up
- 40:34Speaker 13: charge people up the ass all the time.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Yeah, do you like a bonus on that or something?
- 40:40Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 40:40Speaker 16: I actually did get a slight bonus on that. I
- 40:42Speaker 16: would charge them. I would up charge them for threads
- 40:44Speaker 16: without even telling them they would just pay it any Wow, what.
- 40:48Speaker 1: A nice guy.
- 40:49Speaker 13: I got to make more money.
- 40:50Speaker 17: Man.
- 40:51Speaker 4: So, like, there's a bunch of football fans and they're
- 40:54Speaker 4: all over social media and they're going after fanatics because
- 40:57Speaker 4: I guess the Super super Bowl March merchant they average
- 41:00Speaker 4: is not that good. They're saying, like the poor quality
- 41:02Speaker 4: of the jerseys. Uh, that's they look nothing like the
- 41:06Speaker 4: ones that the players are gonna be wearing on the field.
- 41:08Speaker 4: Remember there was something with the baseball Yeah the pants,
- 41:12Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, the pants. Each jersey cost one hundred and
- 41:16Speaker 4: sixty bucks. Fans everywhere saying this is the last straw
- 41:19Speaker 4: with fanatics. The company released the statement saying that they're
- 41:23Speaker 4: aware of the issues they own the mistake. They said
- 41:25Speaker 4: that the Super Bowl matchup created unprecedented challenges for us
- 41:29Speaker 4: because of both the massive surge in demand from Patriots
- 41:34Speaker 4: and Seahawks fans because both teams missed the playoffs last
- 41:38Speaker 4: year and made the Super Bowl this year. What so,
- 41:42Speaker 4: But here's the thing, you don't know. You don't know
- 41:45Speaker 4: who's making the Super Bowl until the AFC Championships happens
- 41:48Speaker 4: every year, or until you saw the NFL's poster.
- 41:51Speaker 5: At the beginning of the season, and you're a huge company, like, dude,
- 41:54Speaker 5: what you do?
- 41:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I think by this time, by you know, this
- 41:58Speaker 1: time around that you know, Fanatix has been around so
- 42:01Speaker 1: long that they don't have issues like this anymore.
- 42:04Speaker 4: The fans not buying the excuse though, They're just saying
- 42:06Speaker 4: it's on fanatics for not expecting either team to be
- 42:09Speaker 4: good this year. But but if you're looking for Super
- 42:12Speaker 4: Bowl merch again, like there's there weren't. There was no
- 42:15Speaker 4: Patriots super Bowl merch until AFC Championship Week. And I'm
- 42:18Speaker 4: sure stay ready, be ready like you.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I've been a big fan of all the stuff that
- 42:23Speaker 1: New Era has been doing lately, like with clothing wise
- 42:27Speaker 1: as well, jackets and stuff.
- 42:29Speaker 16: Really Era makes really good sports clothes. Forty seven brand
- 42:32Speaker 16: and Mitchell and Ness those are the three brands that
- 42:34Speaker 16: go do.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Yeah, forty seven is pretty good.
- 42:36Speaker 7: I love Mitchell and Ness.
- 42:37Speaker 5: Yeah, me too, talking about I've never heard of it.
- 42:41Speaker 1: I've never heard of Mitchell and Ness.
- 42:43Speaker 5: Are you serious?
- 42:43Speaker 1: Mitchell and My god?
- 42:45Speaker 16: So anytime you see the retro jerseys that I wear
- 42:47Speaker 16: in here, those are all Mitchell and Ness.
- 42:49Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 42:49Speaker 1: We see a lot of those juff. Well it's good
- 42:51Speaker 1: quality stuff too.
- 42:52Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a lot of the retro looks.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Uh No.
- 42:56Speaker 4: Super Bowl halftime performance has caused as much controversy as
- 42:59Speaker 4: Bad Bunny, at least before they've even performed. And they
- 43:03Speaker 4: say someone has to do with you know, the songs
- 43:05Speaker 4: being Spanish, but someone also has to do well, there
- 43:08Speaker 4: are a good amount of people who have just no
- 43:10Speaker 4: idea who he is.
- 43:11Speaker 10: Really.
- 43:12Speaker 4: According to the numbers, only six and ten Americans even
- 43:15Speaker 4: know who he is. Like, what's a Bad Bunny? Well,
- 43:17Speaker 4: they had to find out, Yeah, and it wasn't until
- 43:20Speaker 4: like a lot of the controversy. They're like, wait what
- 43:22Speaker 4: And then so they say even the percentage of the
- 43:25Speaker 4: four and ten who had no idea, you know that
- 43:27Speaker 4: that number would have been higher. It probably would have
- 43:30Speaker 4: been sixty forty the other way had there not been
- 43:32Speaker 4: the controversy.
- 43:33Speaker 1: But come on, man, it's just like it would have
- 43:36Speaker 1: just went back to forget Bad Bunny or whatever all
- 43:40Speaker 1: when they had the whole hip hop thing. They're like,
- 43:42Speaker 1: there would have been a larger majority of people saying like,
- 43:44Speaker 1: I don't listen to hip hop music. I don't know
- 43:46Speaker 1: any of these songs it's not even that. But I
- 43:49Speaker 1: just think, you know, I don't even understand the words
- 43:51Speaker 1: that he's saying, even if it's in English, because if
- 43:54Speaker 1: it's rap music, you know, those people like that, they
- 43:56Speaker 1: they feel like they look like they're physically being hurt
- 43:59Speaker 1: when they your hip hop rig you know, I know
- 44:02Speaker 1: what dramatic about it.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Yeah, and I agree with that, But I think, you know,
- 44:06Speaker 4: as far as just like straight name recognition, it's easy
- 44:10Speaker 4: in people like maybe in our age group or whatever,
- 44:13Speaker 4: but even for most people, it's like, man, they know
- 44:15Speaker 4: what they know? Anything outside They're like, I don't know,
- 44:18Speaker 4: and I can. I can relate to this only because
- 44:20Speaker 4: I don't pay a lot of attention, as you know,
- 44:22Speaker 4: to celebrity stuff, right you thing and like people say,
- 44:26Speaker 4: oh so and so, I go, who the hell is
- 44:27Speaker 4: that I've But they're.
- 44:29Speaker 7: They're this like big thing phenomenon.
- 44:33Speaker 1: I had not heard of them. They were not at
- 44:35Speaker 1: all on my radar in in my universe.
- 44:37Speaker 4: So I do understand where people, especially if it is
- 44:39Speaker 4: something that's like all in Spanish, and if you're not
- 44:41Speaker 4: listening to anything like that, like how do you know
- 44:43Speaker 4: who you might have heard it?
- 44:44Speaker 12: In?
- 44:45Speaker 4: Passing the name but not why I woul is that person?
- 44:49Speaker 4: Is that person an art a music artist?
- 44:51Speaker 1: Is that an actor? Actresses?
- 44:52Speaker 3: It?
- 44:53Speaker 1: A guy? Is it a girl?
- 44:53Speaker 7: Like you get a bunny?
- 44:55Speaker 8: Right?
- 44:55Speaker 1: I've stepped in that a couple of times where I go, well,
- 44:58Speaker 1: he doesn't ago that's.
- 44:58Speaker 4: A sh I go okay anyway, So people have already
- 45:05Speaker 4: decided that bad Bunny will give us the worst super
- 45:07Speaker 4: Bowl halftime show ever.
- 45:09Speaker 1: But this is this is what it's up against.
- 45:12Speaker 4: Numbers were crunched and these came out on the other
- 45:15Speaker 4: side as the worst super Bowl halftime performance is so far.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Oh I'm ready okay, the worst one so far super
- 45:22Speaker 4: Bowl fifty three, twenty nineteen, Maroon five, remember it like
- 45:27Speaker 4: Adam Levie was showing his nipples apparently, And honestly, I
- 45:30Speaker 4: don't remember the halftime.
- 45:31Speaker 7: It was not memorable.
- 45:32Speaker 4: Number two on the list, they said, it's the Disney
- 45:34Speaker 4: halftime shows of super Bowls twenty five, twenty nine, and
- 45:37Speaker 4: thirty four, so ninety one, ninety five, two thousand. The
- 45:40Speaker 4: first one was New Kids on the Block, Hell yeah.
- 45:43Speaker 4: The other one was Tony Bennett and Patti LaBelle hyping
- 45:45Speaker 4: Disneyland's new Indiana Jones Ride and then the third was
- 45:49Speaker 4: headlined by Phil Collins, Christina Aguilera, and Enrique Iglesia.
- 45:53Speaker 7: That sounds cool.
- 45:54Speaker 4: The number three worst super Bowl halftime show of all time.
- 45:57Speaker 4: Again just crunching numbers and looking at real action. They
- 46:00Speaker 4: took all these different factors into account. Right the Janet
- 46:03Speaker 4: Jackson justin Timberlake super Bowl thirty eight, twenty twenty four.
- 46:08Speaker 5: Everybody loved that she screwed us over we have, but
- 46:10Speaker 5: most memorable.
- 46:11Speaker 4: All the boob stuff probably made you forget. The show
- 46:14Speaker 4: also featured Diddy, Nelly, Kid Rock, and Jessica Simpson.
- 46:17Speaker 7: It did, Yeah, I definitely have no idea.
- 46:20Speaker 4: The Blues Brothers number four, Super Bowl thirty one, nineteen
- 46:23Speaker 4: ninety seven, should just, you know, let the Blues brother.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Die with John Belushi?
- 46:27Speaker 18: Oh?
- 46:28Speaker 7: Yeah, you know probably?
- 46:29Speaker 4: And then number five worst super Bowl halftime performance, the
- 46:34Speaker 4: Black Eyed Peace super Bowl forty five, twenty eleven. Bangers,
- 46:37Speaker 4: audio issues, uninspired in probably performances. Not even guest spots
- 46:42Speaker 4: from Slash and Usher could save this one.
- 46:44Speaker 5: Oh wow, what year did you say again?
- 46:45Speaker 1: That was a twenty eleven?
- 46:47Speaker 5: Wasn't like that was the year my high school was
- 46:49Speaker 5: dancers for them? No exact the drill team and it
- 46:52Speaker 5: was a big deal.
- 46:54Speaker 1: But I thought the universal one that was like the
- 46:58Speaker 1: most hated was I think it was in Minneapolis where
- 47:01Speaker 1: they had like a marching band or something like that.
- 47:03Speaker 1: It was like a local band. So but when was that.
- 47:08Speaker 1: I think that was the recent because I know nineties.
- 47:11Speaker 4: I think, well, yeah, okay, so before I guess Michael
- 47:13Speaker 4: Jackson from what I remember watching her, I saw something
- 47:16Speaker 4: about the first as we know the halftime performance now,
- 47:20Speaker 4: like the first big one was Michael Jackson super.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Bowl at the Rose Bowl.
- 47:24Speaker 4: Oh wow, And that was like the big like first blowout,
- 47:27Speaker 4: like where they made it a big spectacle. Everything before
- 47:30Speaker 4: that was that stuff was.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Marching bands like that.
- 47:32Speaker 7: That makes sense, Like do you know what your Michael
- 47:34Speaker 7: Jackson did the super Bowl for the whole month.
- 47:37Speaker 4: I think it was ninety As I said, it was
- 47:40Speaker 4: like very late eighties or very early ninety three, oh
- 47:43Speaker 4: ninety three.
- 47:43Speaker 5: So yeah, they still incorporate like the local schools.
- 47:46Speaker 7: You know, Yeah, that's fine.
- 47:48Speaker 5: Answers.
- 47:48Speaker 16: The reason that all that stuff started was MTV started
- 47:51Speaker 16: running counter programming during the halftime show and ever changing
- 47:55Speaker 16: the channel. So the super Bowl is like, well, we
- 47:57Speaker 16: need people to stay so they hired the backs.
- 47:59Speaker 1: Yeah, so like going back to you know, people freaking
- 48:02Speaker 1: out one way or the other. Who cares?
- 48:04Speaker 7: Well, that's the thing I thought. Hardcore football fans don't
- 48:06Speaker 7: care about the halftime show anyway.
- 48:07Speaker 4: It's like a big deal, like go get some cheese.
- 48:09Speaker 4: It's the halftime. First of all, you don't have to
- 48:12Speaker 4: watch it, right, you have all this other stuff going on.
- 48:16Speaker 4: People are probably over You're probably over someone else's.
- 48:18Speaker 7: House getting chili whatever.
- 48:21Speaker 4: Yeah, who cares?
- 48:22Speaker 1: Who plays the halftime?
- 48:23Speaker 7: Something crazy might happen and he might pick up another
- 48:26Speaker 7: fan or two.
- 48:26Speaker 1: You never know.
- 48:27Speaker 4: All right, eight seven seven forty four. Woody is the
- 48:29Speaker 4: phone number. If you want to hit us up.
- 48:31Speaker 1: You can set us a text over to two two
- 48:33Speaker 1: nine eight seven on the.
- 48:34Speaker 19: Floor you can.
- 48:36Speaker 1: You can choose something or whatever. Man, you crap in
- 48:39Speaker 1: my mad Yeah that might be a deal break.
- 48:43Speaker 4: And now more of the Woody Show couple will be
- 48:47Speaker 4: after hours voicemails, people correcting us on stuff.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Eight Woody would go.
- 48:56Speaker 20: Woody, dude, I was listening to the podcast the other
- 48:59Speaker 20: day where you got to talk about new Legos. Menace corrected.
- 49:02Speaker 20: You said, it's not Legos, it's Legos. Anytime something like
- 49:07Speaker 20: that comes up on the show where you know it's
- 49:09Speaker 20: not pecan, it's pecan, or something like that. Woody, you
- 49:13Speaker 20: always bring up.
- 49:15Speaker 10: It's not a clip, it's a magazine.
- 49:18Speaker 19: You say that like it's two different words meaning the
- 49:21Speaker 19: same thing. They're fundamentally different. They're about the same. Like
- 49:26Speaker 19: iould say, a good comparison is socks and shoes. They
- 49:29Speaker 19: both go on your feet. They're not the same thing.
- 49:32Speaker 19: Do you wear your socks to work? Samy, don't answer that.
- 49:34Speaker 19: Both go on your feet, but the dots go on first,
- 49:37Speaker 19: shoes go on second. Every automatic firearm as a magazine.
- 49:41Speaker 19: Very few of them use clips. Magazines and clips, those folds.
- 49:45Speaker 20: Bullet clips help load a magazine, whether that magazine is
- 49:49Speaker 20: detachable or not. They're they're different, Budding, you gotta come
- 49:53Speaker 20: up with something else.
- 49:54Speaker 19: Anytime someone says tomato and someone else says tomato, you
- 49:57Speaker 19: gotta come up with something else.
- 49:59Speaker 17: But that's it.
- 50:00Speaker 20: I love you guys best, but all.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Right, thank you for your call. Now, the context of that,
- 50:07Speaker 4: I hear what you're saying. The context of that is
- 50:09Speaker 4: when somebody says that, when they're talking about something, you
- 50:13Speaker 4: know exactly what they're talking about. So for you to
- 50:15Speaker 4: step in and and you know, then have to break
- 50:17Speaker 4: down that difference to people, it's kind of just distracting
- 50:21Speaker 4: from the conversation. You know what someone's talking about. Yeah,
- 50:25Speaker 4: and they said they emptied the clip.
- 50:27Speaker 7: Yeah, you know that.
- 50:28Speaker 4: You know, you know what they're talking about.
- 50:30Speaker 7: You're you're not really using magazine and clip as the comparison.
- 50:34Speaker 7: You're calling out the kind of person that would say.
- 50:36Speaker 4: I understand exactly what he's talking about, and he is.
- 50:39Speaker 1: He is correct in that, right.
- 50:41Speaker 4: But I guess the bigger point was, you know, like
- 50:44Speaker 4: what would you stop down a conversation if someone said
- 50:46Speaker 4: he said like pecan or pecan Like No, I mean,
- 50:49Speaker 4: you know, do you really stop down?
- 50:50Speaker 7: No, because it's just a difference of opinion, right, are
- 50:53Speaker 7: you part of the.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Conversation in the conversation.
- 50:55Speaker 4: But it is interesting when people get kind of hate
- 51:00Speaker 4: to work triggered. But it's also properate. It's also appropriate
- 51:03Speaker 4: for that, uh, you know, on on things like that.
- 51:07Speaker 4: I'm trying to think of another example, because there are.
- 51:10Speaker 7: A bunch you know, well, Greg and I have a
- 51:12Speaker 7: lot of them.
- 51:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:14Speaker 4: Actually, here we've got somebody correcting you on something.
- 51:18Speaker 17: Or should I say, menaced ttus tenetus. You said you're
- 51:23Speaker 17: going to get tentatus from the fire alarm. If this
- 51:26Speaker 17: is one of those gifts, just things, just just stop
- 51:29Speaker 17: stop trying to make such happen. Tonight is, my God,
- 51:33Speaker 17: I love you.
- 51:34Speaker 7: So I was actually not pronounced tonightis, and I was
- 51:36Speaker 7: corrected by a doctor and I said, okay, sorry, I
- 51:39Speaker 7: guess I'll say it right now. Okay, Oh, I thought
- 51:42Speaker 7: it was tonight. I thought I thought it was tone itis,
- 51:45Speaker 7: like your tone you hear a tone, that's the itis.
- 51:48Speaker 1: I thought it was.
- 51:49Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 51:50Speaker 1: It's like like I figured, like a because you have
- 51:52Speaker 1: that almost like a tiny yeah.
- 51:53Speaker 7: Everyone, Apparently apparently apparently we're all wrong. Apparently it's tis
- 52:00Speaker 7: that's why it changed it.
- 52:01Speaker 5: I feel like I've heard that in commercials said tonight.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. William Wall went back the whole Perzuki thing.
- 52:09Speaker 7: Pazooki Zuki kazukie.
- 52:11Speaker 5: I say, Zuki, it's wrong, but.
- 52:13Speaker 7: I don't care.
- 52:14Speaker 1: I wrold you. Like two weeks ago, I just found
- 52:16Speaker 1: out that Marriott is Marriott, really yeah, Marriat and they
- 52:21Speaker 1: just let it go like.
- 52:22Speaker 7: Well, yeah, that's their family's name.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Marriot, Myriad, Myriad I'm bringing I'm bringing this up. So
- 52:28Speaker 1: this is a dictionary dot com.
- 52:30Speaker 7: All right, there we go again. I just changed it
- 52:33Speaker 7: because I was told I was wrong. I'm coachable, so yeah,
- 52:35Speaker 7: take that.
- 52:36Speaker 3: Take that.
- 52:37Speaker 7: I don't think I'm going to change it even I know.
- 52:40Speaker 1: I don't want to have a conversation every time. Wait,
- 52:43Speaker 1: hold on, you said it is because everyone's going to
- 52:46Speaker 1: start correcting you.
- 52:51Speaker 7: We knew that one, so it doesn't rhyme with Doris.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Yeah, glitterist tell even the AI voices horning glitterists day
- 53:04Speaker 1: though I was gonna say, although he doesn't sound like
- 53:06Speaker 1: you'd be much interested in the.
- 53:09Speaker 8: Breaking news.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Greg Gory had to take a major out of work.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Not since the Fall of Rome has there been this
- 53:15Speaker 1: much devastation.
- 53:16Speaker 12: Woody, Woody, Woody, And now back.
- 53:21Speaker 4: To the Woody Show and underway with another new hour,
- 53:26Speaker 4: Insensitivity Training for a politically correct World. Woody Minute, Gina Grant,
- 53:33Speaker 4: Sea Mass, Sammy Morgan, Greg Gory out sick again today.
- 53:39Speaker 1: I went and got or did like a flu test.
- 53:43Speaker 1: You know he doesn't do it. You could get those
- 53:47Speaker 1: at the grocery store and have an home.
- 53:49Speaker 7: I would deliver all that stuff. Delivery won't have it because.
- 53:53Speaker 4: The thing is man like if you there are a
- 53:54Speaker 4: couple of things. I forget what I took where I
- 53:58Speaker 4: called the because I have one of those like concierge
- 54:00Speaker 4: doctor things where you just you like send them a text.
- 54:03Speaker 4: You don't have to worry about the urgent care and stuff.
- 54:05Speaker 1: And I said, hey, man, I feel like.
- 54:07Speaker 4: I'm going down hill. Was like, oh, go out, go
- 54:09Speaker 4: grab one of those quick tests at the grocery store
- 54:13Speaker 4: and let me know what it says. And it came
- 54:15Speaker 4: back and was like, uh yeah, So I'm like all right,
- 54:18Speaker 4: he prescribed yeah, I said, yeah, said yeah, it was positive,
- 54:25Speaker 4: you know that whatever the flu strain thing was. And
- 54:28Speaker 4: so he immediately called me in a prescription for I
- 54:31Speaker 4: forget what it was. But if you catch it early enough,
- 54:33Speaker 4: it keeps it from the vib It doesn't it doesn't, yeah,
- 54:36Speaker 4: it doesn't like kill it, but it keeps it from
- 54:39Speaker 4: multiply because what happens with those viruses it just multiplies
- 54:43Speaker 4: so quickly, and that's what takes over and then all
- 54:45Speaker 4: of a sudden your body starts feeling it and you
- 54:47Speaker 4: get drained down. It just keeps multiplying, multiplying, multiplying, and
- 54:50Speaker 4: then you just get crushed. So it basically just stops
- 54:54Speaker 4: it from getting any worse than it already is. But
- 54:57Speaker 4: you got to catch it early because it does grow
- 54:59Speaker 4: so quick.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Yeah, but great, what's.
- 55:03Speaker 3: This?
- 55:03Speaker 1: This is a this is a prescription thing? Yeah, I
- 55:06Speaker 1: don't know what it was off the top of my head.
- 55:08Speaker 4: I apologize, you know, Greg, he's.
- 55:09Speaker 1: Not gonna go get any of that kind of stuff
- 55:12Speaker 1: or but go to the doctor or anything like that.
- 55:15Speaker 1: And at his advanced age, he should not be playing around.
- 55:18Speaker 4: But he hates but I'm saying, but he hates feeling
- 55:22Speaker 4: that way, and he about it and belly aches about
- 55:24Speaker 4: it so much. You would think he would do something
- 55:27Speaker 4: to try to ex like headed off.
- 55:29Speaker 5: Is that something he's embarrassed to buy at the store.
- 55:31Speaker 1: No, he just doesn't want to. But no, I don't
- 55:33Speaker 1: think so.
- 55:33Speaker 5: He does have that list.
- 55:34Speaker 4: Did you say a story about the former Voice contestant? Yes,
- 55:39Speaker 4: I can't say her name fa.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Yeah, she died.
- 55:44Speaker 4: She got bitten by a snake in her sleep. Yeah,
- 55:48Speaker 4: she was only twenty six years old.
- 55:49Speaker 7: That's the nightmare at home in her house.
- 55:52Speaker 4: Yeah she doesn't live here, Yeah, where she was trying
- 55:58Speaker 4: to find it?
- 55:59Speaker 1: Nigeria Nigeria, Like, dude, that sucks.
- 56:03Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, that's scary.
- 56:05Speaker 4: Yeah, just bitten by a snake in your sleep, It's crazy, Like.
- 56:09Speaker 7: That is horrific and nobody wants that. But I still
- 56:13Speaker 7: say that a snake swimming up through the toilet and
- 56:16Speaker 7: biting you is the ultimate nightmare more than you being asleep.
- 56:19Speaker 1: Does that happen?
- 56:20Speaker 4: That's I mean, I say that snakes come up through
- 56:23Speaker 4: toilets or whatever, but like, has it happened where that
- 56:26Speaker 4: happened while someone was sitting on the toilet.
- 56:28Speaker 7: It has to have, right, or is that just an
- 56:30Speaker 7: urban legend?
- 56:32Speaker 5: I think we've heard in at least one news study.
- 56:35Speaker 1: I mean, so many dukies are taking every day somebody.
- 56:40Speaker 9: So I wonder what this girl is dreaming about when
- 56:42Speaker 9: you got bit, Like was it incorporated in her dream?
- 56:45Speaker 9: Like you know how sometimes you think you're going to
- 56:46Speaker 9: the bathroom and yeah, yeah they can.
- 56:50Speaker 7: They can slither up through sewer lines.
- 56:52Speaker 1: They can, I know, But it has it happened where
- 56:55Speaker 1: it says?
- 56:56Speaker 7: Occasionally there's a can?
- 56:59Speaker 4: There was a thing I saw on social yesterday. I
- 57:02Speaker 4: posted it's currently on our Woody Show story on Instagram
- 57:07Speaker 4: at the Woody Show and it's a big flight of
- 57:11Speaker 4: concrete stairs. At the bottom there's a glass, and at
- 57:15Speaker 4: the top there's a giant like you know, tub, like
- 57:18Speaker 4: a storage tub full of ping pong balls, and the
- 57:22Speaker 4: person at the top dumps it over and it goes,
- 57:24Speaker 4: you know, I'll go cascading down the stairs. So at
- 57:27Speaker 4: the top the basket of the ping pong balls negative
- 57:30Speaker 4: and catastrophic thoughts, so like sitting on the toilet and
- 57:33Speaker 4: the stake's gonna come up and get it. And at
- 57:35Speaker 4: the bottom where the glasses says the real chances of
- 57:38Speaker 4: them actually happening, right, And if you watch, I mean
- 57:42Speaker 4: there's a billion of these ping pong balls all heading
- 57:44Speaker 4: towards this glass, and you would think like, oh, for
- 57:47Speaker 4: sure one it's gonna land in the glass at least,
- 57:49Speaker 4: and it doesn't really. Yeah, So it's the whole thing
- 57:51Speaker 4: about like, you know, the chances of your negative or
- 57:55Speaker 4: catastrophic thoughts actually coming true are so.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Like low. Yeah, but you were consumed by.
- 58:05Speaker 4: What could happen, yeah, as opposed to crossing that bridge
- 58:09Speaker 4: should you get to it?
- 58:10Speaker 7: Yeah, right, letting go of control, right, So they'd be like.
- 58:14Speaker 4: Never never sitting on the toilet ever again, because a
- 58:18Speaker 4: snake might come through.
- 58:21Speaker 1: And, you know, bite you on the bag or something.
- 58:24Speaker 7: You might like this. That reminds me of the quote
- 58:26Speaker 7: worrying about something is like worshiping the problem. Yeah, don't
- 58:31Speaker 7: do that.
- 58:32Speaker 1: Six six one.
- 58:32Speaker 4: It's not an urban legend. I've seen a snake actually
- 58:35Speaker 4: come up through the toil. Okay, you saw it, but
- 58:37Speaker 4: you're sitting on the toilet while that was happening. I know,
- 58:41Speaker 4: has anybody been bitten on the toilet by a snake
- 58:44Speaker 4: coming up through it?
- 58:45Speaker 5: If this guy wouldn't have seen it coming, you would have.
- 58:47Speaker 7: That's true.
- 58:48Speaker 15: There's a woman in twenty twenty four, a Texas woman
- 58:51Speaker 15: who felt a poke in the dark while sitting down
- 58:53Speaker 15: and a rattlesnake was under the seat. Twenty four there
- 58:58Speaker 15: was a twelve foot python that bit a man's testicles.
- 59:01Speaker 7: There it is, that's the one we were looking forward.
- 59:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I spiders. My friend got bit by a black
- 59:09Speaker 1: widow in her garage and she was in the hospital
- 59:12Speaker 1: for like four days, almost.
- 59:14Speaker 7: Died well, and didn't her hand end up looking like
- 59:16Speaker 7: a hamburger helper handed me. Your whole body swells like.
- 59:18Speaker 4: Crazy, you know, it's crazy. So Catherine O'Hara dies and
- 59:24Speaker 4: this story comes out. Not that I had anything necessarily
- 59:26Speaker 4: to do with her death, but it was this condition
- 59:28Speaker 4: that she had, dextracardia ciitis invertics. Oh yeah, I looked
- 59:33Speaker 4: into it and I was reading more about it, because
- 59:35Speaker 4: like just the brief description was crazy. She is one
- 59:39Speaker 4: of one in ten thousand people that end up having this,
- 59:42Speaker 4: which seems like a lot. One in ten thousand consider
- 59:46Speaker 4: seems like a lot of this. And she when she
- 59:48Speaker 4: was talking about this condition, she goes, oh, yeah, I'm
- 59:50Speaker 4: a freak. I'm like, huh the hell. So I read
- 59:53Speaker 4: more into it. It's when like her heart was on
- 59:57Speaker 4: and says it supposed to be on the left side
- 59:58Speaker 4: of your chest. Her heart was on the right side
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: of her chest, and all her organs were internally flipped.
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: So you know, like you see like it's the same house,
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: but the garage is on the right side on one house,
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: but on this other one. That's the It's just it's
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: the the floor plans just flipped.
- 1:00:12Speaker 7: It's crazy.
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: It's that way with bodies. Where Catherine O'Hara's heart was
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: on the right side, all her internal organs were on
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: the opposite side of what they normally are. And she
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: found this out. She went to the doctor and I
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: guess they had to do like an EKG and they
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: hooked her all up and he was reading weird and
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: he's like, that's weird. So they went and had her
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: do a chest X ray and he goes. So I
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: finally get to meet one. He walks in her because
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: I finally get to meet one. She's doing an interview
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: about this, and that's when she found out as an adult,
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: as an adult.
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: You want to put that on your driver's license because
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: God forbid, You're like, you need emergency surgery there.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: That's weird though, walk. Yeah, So again they're not sure,
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: you know, they're not sure had anything to do yeah
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: with her death. Wow, But they say, like, for people
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: that do have that, symptoms include breathing problems, fatigue, frequent
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: sinus or lung infections, jaundice, pale or bluish skin because
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: of like low oxygen. But they said, you know, typically
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: just lead a perfectly normal life.
- 1:01:17Speaker 7: Well didn't. Well, I saw in at least one report
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: she went to the hospital with breathing problems. Oh, I
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: don't know.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Yeah, God, she was a bad crazy though, right, No,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: that was possible.
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: That's crazy.
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: Yeah, eight seven seven forty four. Hit us up with
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: the text over to two two nine eight seven.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Our friend rich.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: Timiro A rich on taxes.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Richie.

- 1:01:37Speaker 4: It's on hundreds of radio stations.
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: He has that.
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: Newsletter which people find very helpful. He's the entertainment He's
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: the tech reporter for KTLA Television in Los Angeles. He's
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: an all around great guy, Jersey native, lover of pizza.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: He's the one that told us about those pizzas at Walmart.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: Yeah, better goods, better goods.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Oh Man, are those good? So in the frozen pizza section.
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: Straight from Italy? Yeah, I mean literally, Yeah. We huped
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: him up and we were worshiping him for a while
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: and we just kind of forgot about it.
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: Board.
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: He's the reason we found out. He's very helpful, is
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: my point. Yeah, and he's talking tech, rich on tech.
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: Next on the Woody Show.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: Hang on the Woody Show, Ris right after these messages.
- 1:02:16Speaker 12: And zero before you.

- 1:02:42Speaker 4: and of course it's a podcast. He's got a newsletter
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: you could subscribe to. He's also the official tech correspondent
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: here at the Woody Show. Ladies and Gentlemen, Rich Demiro
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: rich On.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Tech, thank you for having me back. Thanks for having
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: me back. Are you kidding? Come on?
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: You fill our airtime with valuable information big time? No,
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: it's it's dude, I'm telling you, man. Yeah, hundreds of
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: radio stations, this uh, this, this newsletter. You post a
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: lot of the feedback that you get from your newsletter,
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: and people are digging it. And again, I think one
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: of the reasons is because it's actual useful stuff for
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: just the average person. Yeah, right, Like you don't have
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: to be like a kind of like tech nerd to
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: understand it.
- 1:03:19Speaker 12: Yes, And that Here's the thing what I love is,
- 1:03:21Speaker 12: like I obviously average people like that are not techies,
- 1:03:24Speaker 12: Like they like to enjoy the information. My favorite thing
- 1:03:27Speaker 12: is when I get emails from actual techi's they are like, Rich,
- 1:03:30Speaker 12: I'm a techie and I always learn something from you
- 1:03:33Speaker 12: that really makes my days. I'm like, all right, that
- 1:03:36Speaker 12: that to me is a win.
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: Not only the tech guys tech guy but also like uh,
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: you know, like Joe six pack, just the average the
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: average Joe.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Yeah, you and you and Gregg.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: All right, So rich on tech is where you can
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: find rich on social media, and then rich on tech
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: dot tv is where you could subscribe to your you know,
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: for yourself to that freeze, that freeze, that free newsletter.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: Easy for me to say, but there are a couple
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: things in the tech world to talk about. When it
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: comes to the Big Game on Sunday and your Super
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: Bowl streaming set up this year.
- 1:04:09Speaker 12: This was a surprise to me because you know, last
- 1:04:11Speaker 12: year it was to be the Super Bowl is on
- 1:04:14Speaker 12: Fox and to B is owned by Fox, and so
- 1:04:16Speaker 12: they streamed it there.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: It was completely free for everyone.
- 1:04:20Speaker 12: I downloaded the app, I'm sure many other people did,
- 1:04:23Speaker 12: and the game was there no problem.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: This year completely different.
- 1:04:28Speaker 12: It is on NBC, which owns Peacock, and so that
- 1:04:32Speaker 12: means the game is going to be streaming on the
- 1:04:34Speaker 12: Peacock app. But here's the deal, it is not going
- 1:04:37Speaker 12: to be for free as far as I can tell.
- 1:04:39Speaker 12: On that app, you have to have one of their
- 1:04:42Speaker 12: plans to actually watch this game, which yeah, that's crazy.
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: Wait wait so yeah wait wait is what do you
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: mean one of their plans, like one of the skip
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: the commercial plans.
- 1:04:53Speaker 12: No, like you've got to have like this Peacock Premium
- 1:04:55Speaker 12: which is like ten dollars a month or Premium Plus.
- 1:04:59Speaker 12: It doesn't look like like you can just open up
- 1:05:01Speaker 12: Peacock and the game will be there for free, as
- 1:05:03Speaker 12: far as I can tell from all of their stuff. Now,
- 1:05:06Speaker 12: obviously it's still gonna be on NBC, which is you know,
- 1:05:08Speaker 12: you can get that for free over the air. You
- 1:05:10Speaker 12: can get it on you know, any of your live
- 1:05:13Speaker 12: TV services like a YouTube TV or something like that.
- 1:05:16Speaker 12: And they are going to be doing it in four
- 1:05:18Speaker 12: k HDR this year on all their platforms, which is
- 1:05:21Speaker 12: really cool.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: That means everything's just gonna look so good on the screen.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: It's also and this be prepared.
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: It's also and it's not free either, but it's on
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: the NFL Plus app, so like NFL Plus, which I
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: don't find very helpful during the regular season, but I
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: like it for the preseason because you can watch all
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: the preseason games on the NFL Plus if you subscribe
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: to that. Okay, but yeah, it's also streaming on that
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: besides Peacock, and of course just on the on the
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: regular television.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Yeah, so be prepared.
- 1:05:47Speaker 12: But for me, I was a little surprised because I thought,
- 1:05:49Speaker 12: you know, to be made such a big deal out
- 1:05:51Speaker 12: of this game last year.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: I just assumed it was gonna be on two B
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: again and it's not.
- 1:05:56Speaker 12: So just you know, just be aware if you're if
- 1:05:58Speaker 12: you're having people over, you don't want to be sitting
- 1:06:00Speaker 12: there opening up to B and like, wait a second,
- 1:06:02Speaker 12: it's not there. Just make sure you got Peacock ready
- 1:06:04Speaker 12: to go or whatever else you're gonna watch it on.
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: Now, when it comes to what to watch it on,
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: the best TVs for the Super Bowl this is always big.
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: When Menace used to sell televisions, yes, he used to worry.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Was it best while you worked out electronics?
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: Yeah all right, p yeah, but I mean this is
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: it is the super Bowl of television sales.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: Also big returns after the after the game. But if
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: you are in the market, this is the time to
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: get a pretty decent deal on televisions. What are the
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: what are the ones that people should be looking at.
- 1:06:32Speaker 12: Every expert I talk to they all agree that these
- 1:06:36Speaker 12: TCL TVs are literally the best bang for your buck.
- 1:06:39Speaker 12: So you can spend more, you can spend more, you
- 1:06:43Speaker 12: can go with different brands. Obviously, LG is amazing for
- 1:06:45Speaker 12: the O LEDs, I think Sony is overall going to
- 1:06:48Speaker 12: be the absolute best of the best. But if you're
- 1:06:51Speaker 12: looking for bang for your buck, there are two brands
- 1:06:53Speaker 12: that come out over and over. That's TCL and that's
- 1:06:56Speaker 12: High Sense. TCL sixty five inch wh QM five K
- 1:07:02Speaker 12: is under five hundred dollars.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Yeah, wow, yeah, incredible.
- 1:07:07Speaker 12: Now, if you have money to burn, you got a
- 1:07:09Speaker 12: thousand dollars, you want to get something bigger. An eighty
- 1:07:12Speaker 12: five inch TCL QM six K is one thousand dollars
- 1:07:17Speaker 12: for an eighty five inch TV. And here's the cheat
- 1:07:19Speaker 12: word that my expert said to look for, and he
- 1:07:22Speaker 12: tests all of these TVs. He said, mini led is
- 1:07:26Speaker 12: the keyword. That's kind of like, if you find that
- 1:07:28Speaker 12: on a TV, it means the backlighting is going to
- 1:07:30Speaker 12: be really good and the TV's just going to be
- 1:07:33Speaker 12: pretty incredible.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Mini led Yeah.
- 1:07:35Speaker 12: I mean, here's the thing people people are obsessed with,
- 1:07:38Speaker 12: like refresh rate, the glare of the screen, all those things,
- 1:07:43Speaker 12: the brightness, a lot of that stuff has been kind
- 1:07:45Speaker 12: of like these TV sets have gotten so good that
- 1:07:48Speaker 12: that stuff doesn't really matter as much anymore. Now we're
- 1:07:51Speaker 12: talking in the value proposition brands right now, if you
- 1:07:54Speaker 12: want like the absolute best of the best, you know,
- 1:07:57Speaker 12: Like I said, I think the Sony Bravias are still
- 1:07:59Speaker 12: going to be the best out there. Actually, Menace and
- 1:08:03Speaker 12: I were at the same event where we checked out
- 1:08:05Speaker 12: this TCL X eleven L. That thing is eight thousand
- 1:08:09Speaker 12: dollars for an eighty five inch TV.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's like it doesn't look that much better.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: In all honesty, it does, I think holiday.
- 1:08:17Speaker 12: It Actually it actually did look They put it up
- 1:08:20Speaker 12: against an O LED TV, which is you know, of
- 1:08:21Speaker 12: course those are known to be the best picture.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: It rivaled the old ED. It was brighter than the
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: old D which is pretty wild.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: Well, if you're going to be uh in the Bay
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: Area for the game this weekend, h Menace is going
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: to be in San Francisco on Saturday with TCL. I
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: don't know how that came together. I think just because
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: Menace is friends with them or whatever. But we're not
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: even on We're not even on the radio.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: That market.
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: But yeah, but two fifty Main Street, downtown San Francisco,
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: and you know Medas has all the information. If you
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: want to check it out on our just go to
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: the events tab of the Woodies Show dot com and
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: you know, be down there.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: For three to five and we're giving away a ninety
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: eight inch TCLT.
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: We're talking to you rich on Tech at rich on
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: Tech on social media. What else you got for us
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: this week? Rich, Let's see what else do we have? Okay,
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: so you know they have this new TSA fee, right,
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: forty five dollars.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Have you heard about this? Right?
- 1:09:12Speaker 12: Oh?
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Yes you don't. Okay, So I got my real ID,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: so I'm good. But I've got a little hack for you.
- 1:09:20Speaker 12: So if you if you still have dragged your feet
- 1:09:23Speaker 12: on getting this real ID, you don't want to pay
- 1:09:25Speaker 12: the forty five dollars fee, you can actually add your
- 1:09:28Speaker 12: passport to your phone both on Apple and on Google.
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: I did that.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: They don't really know. They don't really call like a
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: passport on your phone. They call.
- 1:09:38Speaker 12: They kind of convert it into what's called a digital ID,
- 1:09:41Speaker 12: but it will work the same as a real ID
- 1:09:44Speaker 12: for domestic travel. So this is accepted at two hundred
- 1:09:47Speaker 12: and fifty TSA checkpoints. You can do it on Apple Wallet,
- 1:09:50Speaker 12: you can do it on Google Wallet. But here's the thing.
- 1:09:53Speaker 12: You know, you can always use your passport for travel
- 1:09:55Speaker 12: in general, even domestically, but this just makes life a
- 1:09:58Speaker 12: little bit easier when you're on the road here in
- 1:10:00Speaker 12: the US. But I would still keep your passport in
- 1:10:03Speaker 12: your backpack just in case, you know, there's any sort
- 1:10:05Speaker 12: of problem. But that's a good way if you're sitting
- 1:10:07Speaker 12: there going, oh my gosh, I've got this trip coming up.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: I don't have my real ID, add your passport. But
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: I'll be honest, if you don't have.
- 1:10:13Speaker 12: Your real ID by this point, you probably don't have
- 1:10:15Speaker 12: your passport either, So I don't know.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all weird about it.
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: Greg refused to get the real ID just out of
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: principle because that's what they want you to do. They're
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: forcing a GAT, So he's just kind of taking this
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: kind of childish Yeah, don't tread on that kind of thing.
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: But like the if you don't have the real ID,
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: what it's explain the forty five because I've heard, I've
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: seen that the headline. I haven't clicked on it because
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: I have a real ID, so it doesn't you know,
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: I don't, I don't need to necessarily understand, but uh,
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: for people who might the forty five dollars fee is
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: what you don't have a real ID and if you
- 1:10:44Speaker 4: don't have the passport loaded into the Apple WALLT or
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: something like that, they charge you forty five bucks.
- 1:10:49Speaker 12: Yeah, well it seems like I mean, I I assume
- 1:10:52Speaker 12: you could do it at the airport, but it looks
- 1:10:54Speaker 12: like you would want to do this before you get
- 1:10:56Speaker 12: to the airport. So you go on the website, you know,
- 1:10:58Speaker 12: the TSA website they call confirm ID, and I'm guessing
- 1:11:02Speaker 12: I haven't gone through the process, but you click pay
- 1:11:05Speaker 12: now and then you go through a series of questions
- 1:11:08Speaker 12: and they try to confirm you are who you say
- 1:11:11Speaker 12: you are, even without I mean, it's all like a
- 1:11:13Speaker 12: weird roundabout way of like, I don't I don't really
- 1:11:16Speaker 12: know why they need to do all this stuff, but
- 1:11:18Speaker 12: the reality is that's what they're doing at this point.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: I think they're just trying to get people to get.
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: Their and what could possibly go wrong?
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Yeah, well I did see somebody get pushed off to
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: the side at the airport already for not having a
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: real idea.
- 1:11:31Speaker 7: Well for dummies like like me, how do you get
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: the passport onto your phone?
- 1:11:35Speaker 12: Is?
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: Like you the same way that you load like your
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: credit card into your Apple. Well, you go to your wallet. Yeah,
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: you click the plus you know icon that like you're
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: going to add and then there's one said what is it?
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: Rich says like it says like a government ID or
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: something like that state ID whatever that option Just click that.
- 1:11:53Speaker 7: Oh I see it?
- 1:11:54Speaker 21: Yeah, boom done, look at that. If you would just try,
- 1:11:57Speaker 21: it's all very intuitive. Yeah, and it's actually quite interesting.
- 1:12:01Speaker 21: They actually make you take like a video selfie of yourself.
- 1:12:04Speaker 21: Oh you verify you you are like an actual person.
- 1:12:07Speaker 12: But the process is great and once you have it
- 1:12:09Speaker 12: on there, it's a nice kind of backup or again
- 1:12:12Speaker 12: if you want to avoid this fee. Yeah, but I
- 1:12:14Speaker 12: will tell you, as as someone who travels a lot,
- 1:12:17Speaker 12: and I know a lot of you guys do too,
- 1:12:19Speaker 12: I am impressed with how you almost don't have to
- 1:12:22Speaker 12: show anything anymore if you have tsa pre check like
- 1:12:25Speaker 12: it is just you walk up to this little camera
- 1:12:29Speaker 12: takes a picture of you and you just walk through.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: You don't show any ID, you don't show you your
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: boarding past.
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: Yeah, Gina just experienced that for the first time last
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: week because it was like a clear.
- 1:12:39Speaker 7: Plus it was a TSA pre plus clear.
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: Yeah, something like that. Yeah, so they combined like if
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: you have like clear and TSA pre check, because we
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: got the line just for the regular clear, like oh no, oh,
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: well you have pre check on your boarding pass. You
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: know you can go to this line was clear plus
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: TSA pre check. So we go on that line, didn't
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: have to show them anything, walked up. Like Rich just said,
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: you walk up to the little camera, it looks at you,
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: and then the gates open up and you walk right through.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: It was awesome.
- 1:13:07Speaker 12: So global it's the same thing. Yeah, it's like that
- 1:13:10Speaker 12: was global entry. You can literally go from like here
- 1:13:14Speaker 12: to anywhere all by face. I mean, it's kind of
- 1:13:17Speaker 12: wild when people say that, like you know, they're tracking
- 1:13:19Speaker 12: us and this, and it's like they really are, like
- 1:13:22Speaker 12: the government somehow, and even if you're wearing like glasses
- 1:13:25Speaker 12: or you look different, it's like somehow, it figures it
- 1:13:28Speaker 12: out in a really quick way.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: And they're finally adding it to the Cabo Airport. Right
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: it's experienced it for the first time because that one
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: could be backed up big time, but I got to
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: go through the facial recognition super fast.
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: Well, we're talking to rich Samiro rich On Tech tech
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: reporter for KTLA Television in Los Angeles. You can subscribe
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: to his free newsletter. Rich on tech dot tv is
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: where you go for that. Of course, is syndicated radio
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: show Coast to Coast on just hundreds of radio stations.
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: Now this is something that only applies to our California folks.
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: This is a new California privacy thing. I saw you
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: would mention something about this, but I was curious because
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: Gina got me to sign up for one of these
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: other programs, and I just want to know, like, what's
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: the difference. The one that you got me to sign
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: up for is it's called delete me, and that one
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: seems to be doing a pretty good job of getting
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: your personal information off of all these like you know,
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: these data sites that just collect people's you know information. Yeah,
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: how does this thing here in California, this new privacy tool,
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: how does that compare to those other those other services.
- 1:14:31Speaker 12: So it's basically the same. So this is a state
- 1:14:34Speaker 12: run tool. It's called DROP, which stands for Delete Request
- 1:14:39Speaker 12: and Opt Out Platforms. So Basically, California saw the rise
- 1:14:42Speaker 12: of two things happening. Number one, all these data brokers
- 1:14:45Speaker 12: that are constantly collecting information about our habits and preferences
- 1:14:49Speaker 12: and selling that information. And then of course websites like
- 1:14:52Speaker 12: spoke Yo and People's Search, you know where they're just
- 1:14:54Speaker 12: putting your information out there online. People buy those profiles whatever.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: I love that.
- 1:14:59Speaker 12: And then they saw the rise of all these other
- 1:15:01Speaker 12: websites like you mentioned the delete me's out there, the Incognize,
- 1:15:05Speaker 12: the privacy bees, they're optories. There's so many of them.
- 1:15:08Speaker 12: They go in and you pay them a fee and
- 1:15:10Speaker 12: they will go and do these takedowns. You could also
- 1:15:13Speaker 12: do this by yourself. It is a much longer process,
- 1:15:16Speaker 12: super time and varying time, and you're never going to
- 1:15:18Speaker 12: get five hundred requests at the same time like these
- 1:15:21Speaker 12: guys can do all at once. So the short of
- 1:15:24Speaker 12: it is that California said, you know what, we're just
- 1:15:26Speaker 12: going to do this for free using our own money,
- 1:15:29Speaker 12: and we're going to make it free to all residents.
- 1:15:31Speaker 12: And so they have this website at privacy dot ca,
- 1:15:34Speaker 12: a dot gov slash drop. You can go there, you
- 1:15:37Speaker 12: put in some of your personal information, like your name,
- 1:15:39Speaker 12: your address, data, birth, email, phone number. It will then
- 1:15:42Speaker 12: send these requests starting later this year. It hasn't started
- 1:15:45Speaker 12: just yet, but they will send them to these data
- 1:15:47Speaker 12: brokers and say you got to take this list of
- 1:15:49Speaker 12: people off of your lists.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: And they'll do that, and they'll say, legally they're obligating
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: to do that.
- 1:15:55Speaker 12: Well, yeah, because it's California low if you want to
- 1:15:57Speaker 12: do business in the state of California, you have to
- 1:15:58Speaker 12: abide by this, so sort of, you know, it's only
- 1:16:02Speaker 12: for Californians. Other states, you'd still have to use one
- 1:16:05Speaker 12: of these paid service providers, you know. Right now they're
- 1:16:08Speaker 12: in the data collection phase where they're just taking you know,
- 1:16:11Speaker 12: who wants to be off these lists. You can go
- 1:16:13Speaker 12: in and sign up, and then later in August or September,
- 1:16:16Speaker 12: they're going to start sending these mass requests to these
- 1:16:20Speaker 12: data brokers to say, hey, you got to take these
- 1:16:22Speaker 12: people out of your database.
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: I think it's also important to make sure that people understand, like,
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: this is not for the dark web stuff. The dark
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: web stuff is all illegal, right, So yeah, it's like
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: they can send all the requests and whatever they want
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: to those kind of things. These are just for the
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: quote unquote legit data brokers. The dark web stuff will
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: still be out there.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Yeah, they'll just delete your emails the dark web.
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: Right exactly. Oh it's a real person we know to
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: double down on using this star.
- 1:16:51Speaker 12: Yeah, that's that's a good delineation because people always say, oh,
- 1:16:54Speaker 12: I want to get my stuff off the Internet. It's like, well,
- 1:16:56Speaker 12: if you're the dark web has the worst stuff, that's
- 1:16:59Speaker 12: that's where you've got your social your passwords, your name,
- 1:17:03Speaker 12: your address, your data, birds like all the stuff that
- 1:17:06Speaker 12: these scammers need to actually either hack you or kind
- 1:17:09Speaker 12: of social engineer you into tricking you into giving up
- 1:17:12Speaker 12: some of your information.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: So that's really the bad stuff that can never go
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: away in a million years.
- 1:17:18Speaker 12: Nobody can take that down because it's just giant databases
- 1:17:21Speaker 12: floating around and exchanging hands online. What we're talking about
- 1:17:25Speaker 12: here is the quote unquote reputable slash legitimate businesses who
- 1:17:29Speaker 12: are operating in a legal zone, not in a gray
- 1:17:32Speaker 12: or illegal way.
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: So besides this California one, this drop thing that they're doing,
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: of all the other programs, I mean, do you have
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: any kind of like firsthand knowledge or do you like
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: which one is known to be the best one is
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: delete me one of the better ones, or like some
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: of those other ones that you mentioned.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: I'll be honest, I work with Incogniti on my newsletter,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: so I have used the best use the code rich
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: yet number one. It's rich on tech.
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: Rich Oh okay, rich on tech Yeah, okay, yeah.
- 1:18:01Speaker 12: But I will say I I am so impressed because
- 1:18:04Speaker 12: I love I don't know if you guys have this
- 1:18:06Speaker 12: on yours, but I've got this like data privacy dashboard
- 1:18:08Speaker 12: which tells me they've completed five hundred and ninety one requests. Yeah,
- 1:18:13Speaker 12: you get twenty one in the progress. Yeah, four hundred
- 1:18:16Speaker 12: and forty three hours saved. And then you can look
- 1:18:18Speaker 12: at all the data brokers and see what they do
- 1:18:20Speaker 12: and all that stuff. But here's the thing that I
- 1:18:21Speaker 12: love that that they just added recently, which is a
- 1:18:25Speaker 12: custom request. So if you find your information lingering out
- 1:18:28Speaker 12: there on a website, like I did the other day
- 1:18:30Speaker 12: on like one of those real estate websites, I guess
- 1:18:33Speaker 12: they didn't catch. All I did was submit the link,
- 1:18:35Speaker 12: and a couple of days later, it was like it advanished,
- 1:18:37Speaker 12: like like my house had never been purchased before. It
- 1:18:41Speaker 12: was like unbelievable that's cool. There's a lot of people
- 1:18:43Speaker 12: now use in my house on that problem list but
- 1:18:46Speaker 12: not working.
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: A rich gadget of the week.
- 1:18:53Speaker 12: All right, this is an oldie but a goodie, and
- 1:18:56Speaker 12: it's brand new. It is the air tag got its
- 1:18:59Speaker 12: first major update since it's launched. So these things launched
- 1:19:03Speaker 12: about five years ago. Do you remember how nuts people
- 1:19:05Speaker 12: went saying, oh my god, privacy is over. Everyone's going
- 1:19:09Speaker 12: to be stalked, which did actually happen in a lot
- 1:19:11Speaker 12: of ways.
- 1:19:11Speaker 17: But we have a new one.
- 1:19:14Speaker 12: It is the same price, It looks identical, but here's
- 1:19:18Speaker 12: here's the difference.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Number one.
- 1:19:19Speaker 12: They've got a new chip on there, so you can
- 1:19:21Speaker 12: find it with your phone from further away. So in
- 1:19:25Speaker 12: my testing, if you got close to it, it was
- 1:19:27Speaker 12: about fifty feet from the old one. Now you can
- 1:19:29Speaker 12: go about one hundred and fifty feet. Your phone or
- 1:19:31Speaker 12: your Apple Watch now can lead you right to this thing,
- 1:19:34Speaker 12: which is which is like.
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: A precision like a precision location thing.
- 1:19:38Speaker 12: Yes, okay, you can always see where they are on
- 1:19:40Speaker 12: a map, and that's a good delineation to make. The
- 1:19:42Speaker 12: other thing that's new is the speaker is about fifty
- 1:19:45Speaker 12: percent louder. So now you'll be able to find it,
- 1:19:47Speaker 12: you know, a little bit easier that way. And then
- 1:19:51Speaker 12: the other thing is that if you want to know
- 1:19:53Speaker 12: how to tell these apart, this is my hack because
- 1:19:56Speaker 12: you can't tell them apart by looking at them. That's
- 1:19:58Speaker 12: typical Apple. Like, it looks identical if you look at
- 1:20:01Speaker 12: the text on the back of the air tag. The
- 1:20:03Speaker 12: old one is in upper lower case, the new one
- 1:20:06Speaker 12: is in all upper case letters.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: It's just so Apple to do something like that.
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: Well, you know who loves them a good air tag
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: is our friend Gina grad Here. Yeah, we made fun
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: of her for the we still do. She'll never live
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: it down. She had hot glued an air tag rich
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: to her phone case, her iPhone phone case, and to
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: the lid of her laptop, also also Apple. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: so we're like, you realize it's just like redundancy. Here's
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: the thing I was gonna say. I was gonna say that, Yeah, like,
- 1:20:41Speaker 4: you can find your phone with find my and your.
- 1:20:45Speaker 12: Basically the phone goes missing and the case is just
- 1:20:48Speaker 12: laying there, you will easily find my case.
- 1:20:51Speaker 7: What if it's turned off? Yeah, somebody got me these.
- 1:20:54Speaker 7: I don't know what to do with that, I said, what.
- 1:20:56Speaker 4: She starts to everything, and she was some thing you
- 1:20:59Speaker 4: hot did. That's what chicks do.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: They hot glue everything. Yeah, I had like hot glue gun.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: I'll be honest. This was a fascination since I was
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: a kid.
- 1:21:07Speaker 7: It was literally for my fake nails. Like it was
- 1:21:09Speaker 7: like glue I found in my back ground.
- 1:21:12Speaker 4: Yeah, we had the chisel these things off of their exactly.
- 1:21:14Speaker 4: All right, Well, Rich Demurro rich on Tech. Catch him
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: on his UH syndicated radio show stations across the country,
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: also the podcast, which you can find on the iHeartRadio app.
- 1:21:25Speaker 4: You can subscribe to his free newsletter. Rich on Tech
- 1:21:28Speaker 4: dot TV. Also catch him on KTLA Television in Los Angeles.
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: Rich Demurro rich on Tech, thank.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: You, all right, don't mind me. I'm gonna go blue
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: an air tag to my air tag.
- 1:21:39Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, that's who you can do. You can put
- 1:21:41Speaker 4: an air tag on the air tag because what if
- 1:21:43Speaker 4: the battery in the air.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Tech, thank you. It's what's up with what's going in
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: SOCO Sports with Jeff G Morning, Jeff G. What's going on?
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: Good Morning?
- 1:21:57Speaker 16: What he show?
- 1:21:57Speaker 11: So James Harden and the Clippers look like they're getting
- 1:22:00Speaker 11: a divorce. Both sides exploring a trade before the deadline.
- 1:22:04Speaker 11: Word is that Cleveland is a leading contender to land
- 1:22:07Speaker 11: a Beard. I guess it's over some contract extension and
- 1:22:11Speaker 11: money on Harden side, and for the Clippers, it's probably
- 1:22:14Speaker 11: about getting younger on the court. Clippers lost to the
- 1:22:17Speaker 11: seventy six ers without heart and last night one twenty
- 1:22:19Speaker 11: eight point thirteen. Kawhi Leonard had twenty nine points in
- 1:22:22Speaker 11: the loss. Clippers are in Cleveland tomorrow. Lake Show back
- 1:22:26Speaker 11: on the court this afternoon in Brooklyn. Tip Off is
- 1:22:28Speaker 11: four thirty. Lakers also rumored to be working on a
- 1:22:30Speaker 11: few trades to get them in championship contention. NBA trade
- 1:22:34Speaker 11: deadline is Thursday at noon. Woody Show, NHL Ducks and
- 1:22:38Speaker 11: Kraken skate tonight in Anaheim.
- 1:22:40Speaker 4: NFL Patriots owner Robert.
- 1:22:42Speaker 11: Kraft is joining Bill Belichick and not getting into the
- 1:22:45Speaker 11: Hall of Fame. And you know Super Bowl sixty is
- 1:22:47Speaker 11: just days away. Woody Show, uniforms have been revealed for
- 1:22:50Speaker 11: the big game. Seattle is gonna wear all blue uniforms,
- 1:22:54Speaker 11: and the Patriots will wear all white.
- 1:22:56Speaker 4: By the way, Seattle zero in two and Super Bowls
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: when they win, all blue uniforms.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: So place your bets now.
- 1:23:02Speaker 11: Now, speaking of the uniforms, some players are gonna have
- 1:23:05Speaker 11: up to four patches on their uniforms, a Super Bowl patch,
- 1:23:09Speaker 11: an America to fifty patch, a Captain's patch, and Seattle's
- 1:23:14Speaker 11: fifty year anniversary patch.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: It's given NASCAR vibes in a big way.
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: And finally, this morning what he show.
- 1:23:19Speaker 11: Formula One race car driver Lewis Hamilton is rumored to
- 1:23:22Speaker 11: be dating Kim Kardashian. Good for them, I guess hasn't
- 1:23:27Speaker 11: this dude noticed, by the way, how her previous husband's
- 1:23:30Speaker 11: careers have gone after they date her. Get out now, bro,
- 1:23:34Speaker 11: I'm jeffg and that' you're so cal.
- 1:23:35Speaker 4: Sports a right, Jeff juju? Everybody shows might have seen
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: something about this pop up. I see other people seem
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: to be taking interest in this. Some new research from
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: the psych Churge Journal of Psychology. They studied people with
- 1:23:55Speaker 4: unnatural hair colors and then see if you agree or
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: just leave. They found that people, especially women, who dye
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: their hair in unnatural color often showed signs of mental instability.
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: I don't believe it, man, This is on the day
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: that Greg's not here.
- 1:24:11Speaker 5: Oh my god, he's so pissed.
- 1:24:19Speaker 8: So good.
- 1:24:19Speaker 4: The findings also showed that the changing of hair to
- 1:24:22Speaker 4: colors like blue, pink, and purple can act as a
- 1:24:25Speaker 4: coping mechanism that allows individuals to feel in control or
- 1:24:29Speaker 4: express emotions.
- 1:24:31Speaker 5: That's it's fair, they are expressing emotions.
- 1:24:35Speaker 15: I did know that, because even if somebody goes drastic
- 1:24:38Speaker 15: like blonde to brown and then back again and then red.
- 1:24:42Speaker 15: They that's always been a control thing, and that's why
- 1:24:44Speaker 15: they say to not really like if someone's doing that,
- 1:24:46Speaker 15: hairdresser should be like, whoa, maybe let's not go so
- 1:24:48Speaker 15: extreme red?
- 1:24:49Speaker 7: Is that always after a breakup?
- 1:24:50Speaker 5: Like bang bangs?
- 1:24:52Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: I learned about that over the last couple of years.
- 1:24:55Speaker 4: Like I had no idea that you were supposed to
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: do a wellness check on the chick or if they
- 1:25:01Speaker 4: just got a drastically different hairstyle, like ooh girl, are
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: you okay? Like I didn't know it was a cry
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: for help.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: I was supposed to ask that sometimes.
- 1:25:12Speaker 12: I know.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying, like are you not allowed to
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: change your hair without having some emotional.
- 1:25:19Speaker 15: But it's when it's super impulsive, if you've been talking
- 1:25:21Speaker 15: about it for a while, you've been wanting to for
- 1:25:23Speaker 15: a bit, you've been thinking about it.
- 1:25:24Speaker 5: But if you just one day say I'm going to go, yeah.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: My hair, I do think you have an emotional problem
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: if you're hacking off all your hair like something. Oh yeah, okay.
- 1:25:33Speaker 4: So to MENACE's point, yes, I agree. Why can't someone
- 1:25:37Speaker 4: just decide, you know what, I think I want to
- 1:25:38Speaker 4: have purple hair, and that's it.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: There's nothing else to it. Yeah, I'm sure that exists.
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: The problem is that and you know, the weed enthusiasts
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: you know who I'm talking about, Like when everybody was
- 1:25:50Speaker 4: really trying to make a big case for the legalization
- 1:25:53Speaker 4: of marijuana for years and years and decades, right, Uh,
- 1:25:56Speaker 4: the people they always put front and center were the
- 1:25:58Speaker 4: biggest loser stoners.
- 1:26:01Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: And that's the same thing with the crazy hair colored
- 1:26:04Speaker 4: people is you always see the nut job and people
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: start creating an association. They go, oh, nut job, crazy
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: colored hair, and so it starts creating this like subconscious
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: or conscious uh, you know, bias going oh, this person
- 1:26:19Speaker 4: is gonna be nuts.
- 1:26:20Speaker 5: Do any of us know a normal person with colored hair?
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: I don't.
- 1:26:24Speaker 8: I don't.
- 1:26:25Speaker 13: I do.
- 1:26:25Speaker 4: Our friend, uh, Bill, who works with us from our
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: syndication company. His wife has like purple hair.
- 1:26:32Speaker 7: Oh I've never seen that.
- 1:26:33Speaker 4: Yeah is it?
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: And she's a nurse, I believe.
- 1:26:35Speaker 7: Is it like unicorn purple or just kind of purple?
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: No, it's like it's it's not like your deep purple.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: It's more like a like a lighter At least it was.
- 1:26:47Speaker 5: Yeah, you better be checking on her.
- 1:26:49Speaker 4: But do you know what I'm saying, Like if you
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: always happen like not everybody who lives in the trailer
- 1:26:54Speaker 4: park is white trash, right, but they always find the person.
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: You know, you find this on the trailer park. They
- 1:27:02Speaker 4: talked to the neighbor the most fits the trailer park stereotype.
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: Yeah, plete us.
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: Yeah, so is is the stereotype true about unnatural hair
- 1:27:10Speaker 4: color whatever?
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: Probably to extent?
- 1:27:12Speaker 4: Right, Like there's always exceptions to the rules, but it's
- 1:27:15Speaker 4: I got into this with doctor Drew years ago. Uh
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: Chicken called in the loved one was talking about how
- 1:27:20Speaker 4: she I forget what her number was, but she was
- 1:27:23Speaker 4: only like seventeen and she had been with I forget
- 1:27:25Speaker 4: how many people. And Doctor Drew goes into this whole
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: line of questioning about the parents and do they drink
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: and drugs or whatever that was. I go, hey, is
- 1:27:33Speaker 4: it because that's always like his thing. It must be
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: the parents. You spend a bunch of time the exactly
- 1:27:37Speaker 4: what I'm talking about.
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: My wed.
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: Yeah, And I made him really mad when I said,
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: because he's going down this this you know line of
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: questioning with there, I go, hey, is it possible that
- 1:27:48Speaker 4: the parents are lovely people and they did everything right,
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: and they they taught her.
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: You know, well, you know what, all the right things right.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: Is it possible that she had sex for the first
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: I was like, wow, this is great and she just
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: likes it.
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: And then right and like she's just she's just slutty
- 1:28:09Speaker 4: and she likes it and that's why she's been with
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: so many people already. Well why does it always have
- 1:28:13Speaker 4: to go back to the dad likes you know, tequila
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: too much?
- 1:28:17Speaker 7: And I said, you know what what, I never thought
- 1:28:19Speaker 7: of it that way. Thank you for expanding my No,
- 1:28:22Speaker 7: he got.
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: He got mad, and I got to silent treatment for
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 1:28:26Speaker 20: But no.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: The other thing that was just in the news too,
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: like one of those girls in Europe that you know,
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: are hooking up with thousands of guys, like within a day,
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: one of their sets of parents were on the news
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: saying like, look, we'll sell our house whatever it takes
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: for you to stop doing stuff like this. So, yeah,
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: it's not always the parents.
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: Fat chick, skinny chick. Remember we had that girl Jade
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: and shea hade, crazy color hair and everything else, and
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: she goes, I can.
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: Confirm I have borderline personality disorder.
- 1:28:58Speaker 4: Another one hairstylist here, ninety nine percent of the drastic
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: hare changes are from my clients going through it and
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: wanting a sense of control.
- 1:29:04Speaker 7: Yeah, Sammy, just like you said, just like in the.
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: Wild, animals use bright colors. Let others know they're crazy.
- 1:29:13Speaker 5: Stay away from me.
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: I'm just reporting. I'm just reporting what the journal psychology
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: was talking about, the study of whatever. This is not
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: our study, this is not our hypoth We're I'm just
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: trying to get some thoughts. Dyeing your hair on natural
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: colors is a sign of depression or some other kind
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: of like coping mechanism. Yeah, yeah, so hey, hey do
- 1:29:34Speaker 4: you Yeah, send them the email, not me more what
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: he shows next.
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: Now, Yeah, I don't consider this a dumb purchase at all.
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: Ga said, she got suckered. She used the word suckered
- 1:29:55Speaker 4: into buying six boxes of Girl Scout cookies. I did
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: it is Girl Scout.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I got a box.
- 1:30:03Speaker 7: The vultures were on it. But one of the bad neighbors.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: Yeah, there's another one of those like pressure situations.
- 1:30:09Speaker 7: Yeah, those girls are aggressive, they really are.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: You don't have to buy six boxes.
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: I know they were pretty.
- 1:30:14Speaker 7: They were on me. They came to the door.
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: But you know you want them, Oh, I absolutely want
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: you start seeing it out in front of the grocery
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: stores and stuff.
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: Now they're usually in the office. I haven't seen him yet, Yeah,
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: not yet, not yet.
- 1:30:26Speaker 4: My wife, we got the same people coming to our
- 1:30:28Speaker 4: door wagon. Oh she she bought a bunch. It's the
- 1:30:31Speaker 4: same girl that we she's our dealer. Oh yeah, you know,
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: it's the same girl every year she's been in since
- 1:30:38Speaker 4: she's a real little girl. Now she's in high school
- 1:30:40Speaker 4: and stuff, and she's still like doing stuff with the
- 1:30:42Speaker 4: Girl Scouts.
- 1:30:43Speaker 7: So the mom she was kind of getting in my face.
- 1:30:45Speaker 7: I was like, okay, I'll take another box.
- 1:30:46Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:30:47Speaker 7: Some of those Girl Scout moms are aggressive.
- 1:30:49Speaker 13: They are.
- 1:30:51Speaker 4: They take it real serious well.
- 1:30:53Speaker 7: Because they want to get all this crap out of
- 1:30:54Speaker 7: their garage.
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: That's so true, so true, Morgan, You're like the Eagle
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: Scout of Girl Scouts.
- 1:30:59Speaker 8: How many do you?
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:31:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I need to ask my mom to mail that
- 1:31:02Speaker 5: to me. I don't know, like my vest was full
- 1:31:04Speaker 5: of them.
- 1:31:06Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:31:06Speaker 4: The thing now is that you know when the girls
- 1:31:09Speaker 4: sell the cookies, they have to buy the cookies up front,
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: that's crazy, and then sell them. You don't go around
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: get the orders and then they send you whatever was
- 1:31:18Speaker 4: ordered so you.
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: Can gain the system.
- 1:31:19Speaker 7: That's like a multi level market.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: You have to guess and like what do we know?
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: Like when my daughter did, we had to take a while.
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: I have no idea.
- 1:31:25Speaker 7: That's what they're hoping because once they're out of their warehouse,
- 1:31:28Speaker 7: they don't care what you do with them.
- 1:31:29Speaker 4: Right, five palettes Now you can always go to they
- 1:31:31Speaker 4: have like a central location where you can, like, if
- 1:31:34Speaker 4: you need another box of tag alongs, you can go
- 1:31:37Speaker 4: down there and pick it up.
- 1:31:38Speaker 7: But doesn't work the other way.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: Don't bring them back there you go. I want to
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: know and more of you and you can't answer because
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: you were in some lame Girl Scout troop that didn't
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: sell cookies. Like what is the current prizes? The prizes situation.
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: Can you get a trip to Europe or something like that.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: I don't think it can't be that good if you're
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: pre buying them, because you could just buy the.
- 1:31:58Speaker 4: Prize Chinese handcuffs something girls. Yeah, yeah, sorry, fingercuffs.
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: What's the current that's the current price situation? Because that
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: was always the fun part.
- 1:32:07Speaker 7: Patches small prizes like plush toys and phone stands and
- 1:32:11Speaker 7: water bottles or even program credits.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: I got the same thing when I open an account
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: the bank.
- 1:32:20Speaker 4: Sold forty thousand dollars in cookies and gets this really
- 1:32:23Speaker 4: cool water bottle, not a Stanley, a regular Okay, so
- 1:32:28Speaker 4: what's the dumbest thing you've purchased? And again I don't
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: see the girl's cup cookie is dumb. Okay, you made
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: some little girl's day and you got cookies out of it.
- 1:32:36Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: Our friend Tony at one point bought a Casadia maker.
- 1:32:42Speaker 4: It kind of looks like a little George Forman grill
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: thing and you put the tortilla in there and the
- 1:32:47Speaker 4: cheese and then you close the lid on it, and
- 1:32:50Speaker 4: I go, you could do the same thing in a pan.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: Wuld you get a casadea maker for is?
- 1:32:54Speaker 8: Well?
- 1:32:55Speaker 4: It puts the loans in it, so you know where
- 1:32:57Speaker 4: to cut it. Cut however you want. You can cut
- 1:33:00Speaker 4: it however you want. Anyway, I thought that was a
- 1:33:02Speaker 4: pretty dumb purchase. A while back, I had purchased.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: This is years ago.
- 1:33:08Speaker 4: I saw something on an Instagram kind of thing where
- 1:33:11Speaker 4: let's say you're on a plane and you have your phone,
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: but you want the screen to be bigger. You put
- 1:33:16Speaker 4: the phone on this thing and there's like a piece
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: of like, yeah, it magnifies it, It makes like a
- 1:33:23Speaker 4: much bigger didn't work at all. It took forever to
- 1:33:27Speaker 4: arrive because you know, dropped China or whatever. It finally arrived,
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: and this thing was such garbage.
- 1:33:34Speaker 7: Like how did it not work?
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: Did it make you like?
- 1:33:36Speaker 7: Did it give you a migraine?
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: Super?
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: Yeah, super blurry? Uh didn't quite. You couldn't really set
- 1:33:41Speaker 4: it right, and then the phone wouldn't stay put where
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: it was supposed to say, and then the whole thing
- 1:33:47Speaker 4: just folded and flattened way too easy.
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: It went right in the garbage, right right in the garbage.
- 1:33:52Speaker 8: I think it was.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: That thing was dumb. Well, you've always made fun of
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: me for that one knife that I bought for the
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: butter because it was supposed to warm up. I hated knife.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: Heated knife for the butter. Yeah, because the butter is
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: like solid as a rock, and then you can you know, but.
- 1:34:09Speaker 4: It's not for it doesn't make it easier to spread
- 1:34:12Speaker 4: on stuff. It just makes it easier to if you're
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: cutting a stick of butter, to cut it spread how
- 1:34:17Speaker 4: does it how? Because if it melts, it's gonna it's
- 1:34:19Speaker 4: gonna just slide off the it's gonna have a knife.
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: Easier to cut cut, yes, yes, and then once you
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: slice it, then you rub the hot knife on. I
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: don't know understand how you don't understand this.
- 1:34:33Speaker 7: I mean, I guess the knife is warm, then it's
- 1:34:35Speaker 7: gonna spread. Right, I'm with menace, I get it.
- 1:34:38Speaker 5: Do you still use it?
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: Though?
- 1:34:39Speaker 12: No?
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: I lost it. Somebody stole it. That awesome.
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: I'm thinking stack of pancakes. But you're very delicate, right,
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: because if you have like hard pads of butter, like
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: it tears it right now, okay, which is why you
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: were thinking, like the hot knife.
- 1:34:54Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:34:55Speaker 4: Okay, let's say instead of tub margine or something like that,
- 1:34:58Speaker 4: we're talking like a stick of butter like Land of Lakes, right, yeah, Okay,
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: solid the warm knife, I understand, cut through the butter,
- 1:35:06Speaker 4: but now you still have because it's cold, a solid
- 1:35:10Speaker 4: pad of the butter, which knife is heated.
- 1:35:12Speaker 7: Knife is warming it so it's me and you can
- 1:35:15Speaker 7: kind of flip it like when you drop it.
- 1:35:16Speaker 15: You take the knife and put it on top, so
- 1:35:18Speaker 15: that warm part that was just on the knife is
- 1:35:19Speaker 15: now on the pancake.
- 1:35:20Speaker 7: Yeah, and you're on the cold.
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: Part and then you're just like slowly spraying it. Yeah,
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: it's so good. It's the best I mean to get it.
- 1:35:28Speaker 7: But what's the difference between doing that and just running
- 1:35:30Speaker 7: it under hot water something?
- 1:35:31Speaker 4: As soon as the butter starts to melt on the
- 1:35:32Speaker 4: hot surface of the knife, it's just gonna like kind
- 1:35:34Speaker 4: of start liquefying, dripping down that.
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: It's not that quick. It's not that quick.
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: Just leave the butter off the fridge.
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: Also, I cannot get butter cakes unless it's soaked in butter.
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: Like every inch of the pancake needs to be. Yeah,
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: it needs to be like pretty much almost like it's
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: its own syrup. Okay, So, uh, this thing that I
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: bought the dumbest thing. I was on instant gram as
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: most of us are, and you get this ad for something,
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: and it might have been like in that moment, I
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: was like, oh man, that seems really nice. It's this
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: like thing.
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: It looks almost like a curerig all right, not as big,
- 1:36:15Speaker 4: maybe half the size of it, just a basic cureg right.
- 1:36:18Speaker 4: And this woman in the video pushes a little button
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: on the top, okay, and all of a sudden, this
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: little puck, white puck spits out from the bottom. I go, oh,
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: and it starts expanding.
- 1:36:33Speaker 8: And I go, what is that? Right?
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: So here here here it is Morgan.
- 1:36:39Speaker 4: See it spits the little puck out of the bottom
- 1:36:42Speaker 4: and it starts expanding. And you know what that is?
- 1:36:45Speaker 4: That is a disposable hot towel dispenser.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: Look at that. How dumb is that? I thought you
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: were gonna say this like a dude, No, No, it's
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: for your face or for your hands, you know, like
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: you go sometimes like to a restaurant and they bring
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: the little hot towels around and how nice that feels
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: to your face.
- 1:37:06Speaker 4: Again, it might have been in the moment thing where
- 1:37:08Speaker 4: it's like it's you know, right before I'm going to bed,
- 1:37:10Speaker 4: and I'm thinking like that would be nice, like just
- 1:37:12Speaker 4: let it crap out this little puck and then take
- 1:37:15Speaker 4: it and then wipe my face and throw it away.
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: A couple of questions, Oh, so it's disposable, like, don't
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: use the how do you get the what do you
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: mean how do you get new towels?
- 1:37:26Speaker 8: Them?
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: They come in a it looks like a like a
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: sleeve of oreos almost because there.
- 1:37:30Speaker 4: Were pucks, right, Yeah, like the magic towel dropped, you
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: drop the whole thing. You drop the whole thing into
- 1:37:38Speaker 4: the hopper in the back and then it just like
- 1:37:42Speaker 4: heats the water, saturates this puck and spits it out.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: So then so you have to buy these pucks separately,
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: like like like you're like a little kind of thing.
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: By the way, I just posted a video of this
- 1:37:54Speaker 4: thing on our Instagram story at the Woody Show. You
- 1:37:57Speaker 4: could see it. It's it's dumb, It's dumb.
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: Okay. I have a couple more questions real quick. Number one,
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: what are you gonna do when not everybody buys us
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: and you can't buy the pucks? So you're gonna it'll
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: be garbage like. But the second thing, because Grig's not here,
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to ask a question kind of unsightly
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: to put it like there and like plug it into
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: your wall and you have cords everywhere. There's not gonna
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: be cord everywhere.
- 1:38:21Speaker 4: I've scoped out of a spot I think because Okay,
- 1:38:25Speaker 4: our in our master bathroom, there's the main area and
- 1:38:30Speaker 4: then there's like a little a little room where just
- 1:38:33Speaker 4: the toilet is. There's a toilet bottom like a set
- 1:38:36Speaker 4: of drawers counter with a cabinet on top. Okay, that
- 1:38:40Speaker 4: little cabinet space or that counter space right there, it
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: would be perfect. Just plug it in right there area,
- 1:38:46Speaker 4: But it has a plug in the cabinet. No, there's
- 1:38:49Speaker 4: a plug on the wall where the counter is. You know,
- 1:38:51Speaker 4: like any counter there's like plugs on the wall, and
- 1:38:54Speaker 4: you just plug it in so while.
- 1:38:55Speaker 7: You're pooping you can have a nice hot face.
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: Well, I'm just saying you're getting a store in the cabinet,
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: then pull it out and play the counter.
- 1:39:02Speaker 4: No, it's on the counter. It will be on the
- 1:39:03Speaker 4: counter in the little closed off toilet.
- 1:39:07Speaker 7: But like MENACE's knife, that could just be run under
- 1:39:10Speaker 7: warm water. Couldn't a wash cloth just be run?
- 1:39:13Speaker 4: It sure could? But does it crap it out this
- 1:39:16Speaker 4: little thing? And is it like ready to go right now,
- 1:39:19Speaker 4: there's something that I don't know. It seemed really appealing
- 1:39:21Speaker 4: in that moment.
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: Is it made out from Japan? Does it play little music?
- 1:39:25Speaker 4: No?
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: Well did it did?
- 1:39:27Speaker 16: It?
- 1:39:27Speaker 4: Did drop ship from China, so it took a while
- 1:39:29Speaker 4: to get there.
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: It arrived.
- 1:39:30Speaker 4: I've not plugged it in yet.
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: No, no, no, But it's so dumb.
- 1:39:36Speaker 4: It's pretty dumb at the same time though, sounds awesome though, right,
- 1:39:39Speaker 4: like the idea of a warm towel on your face,
- 1:39:42Speaker 4: and I love that, man, because yes, right before I'll
- 1:39:45Speaker 4: go to bed, brush teeth, splash water in my face,
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: wash my hands, and there's something about like, you know,
- 1:39:52Speaker 4: having just rinsed your face off and getting in the
- 1:39:55Speaker 4: bed so good.
- 1:39:56Speaker 7: I'm going to double down on this.
- 1:39:58Speaker 12: I know you have.
- 1:39:59Speaker 5: It's very gay.
- 1:40:00Speaker 7: I know you have a bidet, but if you want
- 1:40:02Speaker 7: that extra fresh feeling, use the day and then a
- 1:40:05Speaker 7: hot towel and wipe up.
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but you don't need this thing. After you use
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: the b dat, you don't need the hot.
- 1:40:11Speaker 7: We're talking about waste, so there's.
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: Nothing else to clean. I'm not going to waste one
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: of the perfectly good pucks.
- 1:40:17Speaker 5: These pucks cloth or are they like more paper towels.
- 1:40:20Speaker 4: See I'm guessing they're more paper towel.
- 1:40:22Speaker 7: Well, there's those like in a fancy restaurant bathroom, there's
- 1:40:25Speaker 7: like the other head in but they're not.
- 1:40:27Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it's probably it's probably something like that. Again,
- 1:40:30Speaker 4: I have a I have the video. It's on Woody
- 1:40:32Speaker 4: Show Instagram story right now at the Woody Show. You'll
- 1:40:36Speaker 4: see and what got my attention said, turn my bathroom
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: into a five star resort.
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: What is this thing? Imagine if you got a robot
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: and the robot like walked up to you, say, hot pucke.
- 1:40:51Speaker 4: She just pushed the little thing on the top and
- 1:40:53Speaker 4: it craps out the little puck and she grabs it
- 1:40:56Speaker 4: and then she's wiping her face.
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: Oh, I would load up pucks though for real, I'll
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: get like a year's supply. I did buy extra it's
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: going to last year. I did buy extras.
- 1:41:05Speaker 4: Well apparently, Uh, it's all over social media and it's
- 1:41:11Speaker 4: caught a lot of Maybe it's why it showed up,
- 1:41:12Speaker 4: I'm sure, but it's it's been capturing a lot of
- 1:41:14Speaker 4: people's attention, to be honest. So right now at the time,
- 1:41:17Speaker 4: the shrike, Yeah, I see this probably very popular overseas,
- 1:41:21Speaker 4: like it has a staying power, but in America maybe
- 1:41:25Speaker 4: maybe not.
- 1:41:26Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. We buy some pretty
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: dumb stuff over here. Yeah, we'll have fun.
- 1:41:30Speaker 8: I can't.
- 1:41:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:41:32Speaker 7: Can you bring it in so we all can try it?
- 1:41:34Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:41:34Speaker 4: Then I waste pucks on you guys. Well, when there's
- 1:41:40Speaker 4: a limited supply.
- 1:41:42Speaker 7: Are the pucks?
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:41:46Speaker 4: That's a good question, Sammy.
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: Can you get different like scented pucks essential oil Amazon
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: right now? Black pucks that are all like you know, manly.
- 1:41:58Speaker 4: The dispenser, it's so off. Was one hundred dollars?
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:42:04Speaker 5: Than I was thinking me too?
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: Was it fifty?
- 1:42:07Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: Okay, and then let's see.
- 1:42:11Speaker 4: Okay hotel heater dispenser okay, oh, artist says out of stock.
- 1:42:20Speaker 4: See good thing you struck fast, Good thing I did that.
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: I'm trying to look for how much the re the
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: refills are. It's a hot item, it is it is.
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: Now keep in mind all.
- 1:42:38Speaker 4: The stupid uh, I'll see because the review say product
- 1:42:44Speaker 4: does not work as described, does not work, doesn't work.
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: Very useful.
- 1:42:49Speaker 4: Love is towel warmer, So who knows.
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: I'll let you know. Please do I'll let you know.
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: So you got that off Instagram. My vice is TikTok
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: shop all day like difference. Uh, I think TikTok shop
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: is way easier to buy things off of Oh it
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: takes like two seconds.
- 1:43:05Speaker 7: I just assume if I buy something off Instagram, it's
- 1:43:06Speaker 7: never gonna show up.
- 1:43:07Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, So let's open up the phones. What's the
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: dumbest thing? So that's that's mine. What's the dumbest thing
- 1:43:14Speaker 4: you've bought? Eight seven seven forty four, woodie. We'll take
- 1:43:18Speaker 4: your call, and then we'll take the next call, and
- 1:43:21Speaker 4: we'll go around the room and vote. Okay, and then
- 1:43:23Speaker 4: the one that we think is the dumbest stays all right,
- 1:43:26Speaker 4: and then we move on to the next call, take
- 1:43:28Speaker 4: another vote, and by the end of it, last man
- 1:43:30Speaker 4: standing will win a prize.
- 1:43:31Speaker 8: Wait.
- 1:43:32Speaker 4: See, so you get a dumb item and then maybe
- 1:43:34Speaker 4: a prize from us. It's probably equally dumb.
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: Well, it's good.
- 1:43:38Speaker 4: People love winning Stuff've seen people damn near kill each
- 1:43:40Speaker 4: other for a radio station T shirt. Eight seven seven
- 1:43:43Speaker 4: forty four, woody is the number. What's the dumbest thing
- 1:43:46Speaker 4: you've purchased? And with TikTok Shop and Tamu and Instagram are,
- 1:43:50Speaker 4: but not so many dumb things out there that people
- 1:43:53Speaker 4: are are buying just impulsively.
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: Yeah no, but show.
- 1:44:00Speaker 4: So it's the dumbest thing you've purchased. Sea, Actually, you
- 1:44:04Speaker 4: bought some pretty dumb things.
- 1:44:05Speaker 7: You can definitely found off on this.
- 1:44:07Speaker 6: I recently shared mine with you all, which was the
- 1:44:09Speaker 6: you know, eighteen inch by ten inch arm gauntlet with
- 1:44:13Speaker 6: a tax spike on the end.
- 1:44:16Speaker 4: It was pretty bad ass.
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: It looks like something like like Batman would wear.
- 1:44:19Speaker 4: It is because again, like the the the towel thing is.
- 1:44:23Speaker 4: It's nice. It's a dumb purchase, but I could see
- 1:44:27Speaker 4: where I got suckered. Yeah, we'll see, we'll see if
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: it actually works. People are saying, I'm reading the reviews now,
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: it's this machine. You might have seen it on on
- 1:44:36Speaker 4: Instagram if you're just tuning in. I bought it im
- 1:44:38Speaker 4: Paul's purchase. It craps out this little puck which is
- 1:44:41Speaker 4: a disposable like wasthcloth kind of thing, but it's it's
- 1:44:46Speaker 4: been saturated in hot waters. It's got hot like you
- 1:44:48Speaker 4: usually get the at the restaurant they come around the
- 1:44:50Speaker 4: hot towels. I'm like, oh, that sounds lovely. And then yeah,
- 1:44:55Speaker 4: and so I bought this stupid thing. Oh you found
- 1:44:57Speaker 4: how much the little replacements are?
- 1:44:58Speaker 7: They're not bad. You can at one hundred and twenty
- 1:45:01Speaker 7: of them for twenty bucks.
- 1:45:02Speaker 4: One hundred and twenty for twenty bugs. I've spent money
- 1:45:04Speaker 4: on dumber things, all right. But anyway, the reviews on
- 1:45:09Speaker 4: it say that it's supposed to heat to fifty five
- 1:45:11Speaker 4: degrees celsius before it will automatically dispense, but they said
- 1:45:15Speaker 4: it won't even heat. It sticks at about forty nine
- 1:45:18Speaker 4: degrees celsius, so it never even reaches fifty five degrees celsius,
- 1:45:21Speaker 4: so it never works.
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: Let's'll tell you the fifty five c is what f
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: uh what mess? Fahrenheit? Fahrenheit? Uh, that would be twenty
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: five degrees. There you go close.
- 1:45:34Speaker 7: At one hundred.
- 1:45:36Speaker 4: So anyway, what's the dumbest thing that you've purchased? Eight
- 1:45:40Speaker 4: seven seven forty four? What a's eight seven seven forty four?
- 1:45:43Speaker 8: What do he?
- 1:45:43Speaker 4: Let's go to Amy, hi, Amy, Hi?
- 1:45:47Speaker 20: What do you show?
- 1:45:48Speaker 13: All right?
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: So what's the dumbest thing you've purchased?
- 1:45:52Speaker 22: So I own a bug?
- 1:45:54Speaker 14: Assault have you ever heard of those salt gun?
- 1:45:58Speaker 1: That's cool?
- 1:45:58Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, we all say this, but I bought one too, well,
- 1:46:03Speaker 6: you bought one, okay, bug as salt.
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but does it work?
- 1:46:09Speaker 7: I gotta look this up.
- 1:46:11Speaker 22: For flies, you have to get really close to them
- 1:46:13Speaker 22: and shoot about I don't know, three or four times
- 1:46:15Speaker 22: before you actually get it. For spiders, it's depending how
- 1:46:21Speaker 22: big the spider is. Maybe one shot, a couple shots.
- 1:46:23Speaker 22: But it gets salt everywhere, so.
- 1:46:26Speaker 7: It's literally a salt shooter.
- 1:46:28Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:46:30Speaker 7: It's a water gun.
- 1:46:31Speaker 6: You put you know, grainier or crunchy or thicker salt
- 1:46:33Speaker 6: in there and it just kind of pops it out.
- 1:46:36Speaker 4: It's supposed to blast like you know, flying pests.
- 1:46:40Speaker 6: And we were sold on it from my girdfriend Joe
- 1:46:41Speaker 6: Cole right as you recall it. One of my apartments,
- 1:46:44Speaker 6: I had a fly issue in the hallway, so I
- 1:46:46Speaker 6: got one, and she's right, you get right up to
- 1:46:48Speaker 6: that fly and and the fly just like nice button.
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: I do have a dumb well you might think a
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: dun purchase involving flies. So I hate eating outside, but
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: my friends and family enjoy it, right, And some restaurants
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: will have those little fans that you can git table
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: on the table, right, But some restaurants don't. So I
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: went on Amazon and purchased my own fans and I
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: keep them. I keep them in the trunk of the car.
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: You have to eat outside, Yeah, just in case they
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: have to eat outside.
- 1:47:21Speaker 7: I mean that's actually not a bad idea.
- 1:47:23Speaker 4: There were only ten bucks. Am you bought the bug assault? Alright,
- 1:47:26Speaker 4: hang on one second again.
- 1:47:27Speaker 7: Looks cool, Yeah, it doesn't.
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: It's one of the things I would like to try. Uh,
- 1:47:30Speaker 1: let's go to Alba. Hey, good morning, Alba, Hi, good morning,
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: you show hi.
- 1:47:35Speaker 4: So what's the what's the dumbest thing you've purchased?
- 1:47:39Speaker 17: So it wasn't me.
- 1:47:39Speaker 2: It was actually my husband and this is about five
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: years ago. He found them on Instagram. They were supposed
- 1:47:44Speaker 2: to be like a three pack of like holographic pumpkins
- 1:47:48Speaker 2: that like show their faces and emotions and they speak.
- 1:47:52Speaker 14: Oh yeah ye three packs.
- 1:47:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:47:54Speaker 2: They were like one hundred and fifty dollars or something,
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: and he was super excited for them when they finally came,
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: which after Halloween. It was actually just like you know
- 1:48:04Speaker 2: those cover like the low cover plastic cover pumpkins that
- 1:48:08Speaker 2: go over your Christmas light.
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah yeah.
- 1:48:10Speaker 8: So they were like little.
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: Mini pumpkins that just go over the lights sompkins.
- 1:48:18Speaker 7: Yeah, he got dead.
- 1:48:19Speaker 4: Yeah, because the ones that look really cool a the ones.
- 1:48:21Speaker 4: So you have like a regular pumpkin, and then there's
- 1:48:23Speaker 4: a projector that projects like the face and stuff onto
- 1:48:27Speaker 4: the actual like.
- 1:48:28Speaker 7: A real pumpkin. It's like cartoonish yeah yeah.
- 1:48:30Speaker 4: And then it makes it like sing and talk and
- 1:48:32Speaker 4: and whatever. Like those those look cool, yeah they do. Yeah,
- 1:48:36Speaker 4: this sounds really dump all right, So who's got the
- 1:48:38Speaker 4: dumber purchase amy with her bug Assault or the holographic
- 1:48:42Speaker 4: pumpkins Instagram?
- 1:48:45Speaker 7: I mean it sounds like the holographic pumpkins if they
- 1:48:47Speaker 7: would have gotten what they thought they ordered, it would
- 1:48:49Speaker 7: have worked. They just got something different. So what she
- 1:48:52Speaker 7: thought she was ordering, I would say, is cooler. But
- 1:48:54Speaker 7: the bug assault looks pretty mph.
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: But is it fair because we know we have personal
- 1:48:59Speaker 1: experience with the bug Assault and we know it's lame.
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: I'd say, the pumpkins off the top, even if they
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: work properly, are lame.
- 1:49:06Speaker 4: So that was that was more my thinking, like, even
- 1:49:10Speaker 4: if everything showed up as promised, it's lamer and really
- 1:49:14Speaker 4: less practical than bug Assault.
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: Yeah, aggressive, right, what's.
- 1:49:19Speaker 7: Your dumb I think the bug assaults dumber.
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: Dumber a pumpkin, pumpkin bug assaults. I want to believe
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: in bug a sault.
- 1:49:28Speaker 4: Alright, sorry, how about the pumpkins lose? Yeah, all right,
- 1:49:33Speaker 4: thank you, thank you for the call.
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: Though.
- 1:49:35Speaker 4: Let's go to Josh. Josh, what's the dumbest thing you've purchased?
- 1:49:39Speaker 18: Hi, what do you show the dumbest thing I purchased?
- 1:49:43Speaker 10: So to put the costan perspective.
- 1:49:45Speaker 18: I was interning in the making thirteen dollars an hour.
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: It's like eight years ago you got paid interning.
- 1:49:49Speaker 8: Lucky.
- 1:49:51Speaker 18: Yeah, I bought a three hundred dollars Xbox controller, a
- 1:49:55Speaker 18: custom one would have gotten all the chicks if it
- 1:49:57Speaker 18: came in.
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: It was like yeah, but yeah, I know.
- 1:50:02Speaker 10: I got scammed.
- 1:50:03Speaker 18: Never even came Oh no cards. I didn't even give
- 1:50:06Speaker 18: my money back. Oh no, you have to do like
- 1:50:08Speaker 18: a bunch of paperwork on was like eighteen.
- 1:50:09Speaker 10: I didn't care. I didn't care about money.
- 1:50:11Speaker 7: How did you come to find this thing? It couldn't
- 1:50:14Speaker 7: have been on a legit site.
- 1:50:17Speaker 18: I did like a lot of like gaming tournaments, you
- 1:50:18Speaker 18: know that I have like ads on the website and stuff,
- 1:50:20Speaker 18: and like it was like, oh, custom controller.
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: I was like, oh, that's a great idea to spend money.
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: And yeah, I mean we have a roof full of
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: guys who would say that's awesome. You just got scammed. Yeah,
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: you're making an hour.
- 1:50:33Speaker 7: It's not a great purchase.
- 1:50:34Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, but it's the item itself is not
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: so dumb.
- 1:50:38Speaker 7: Yeah, but it's a dumb purchase for an intern who's
- 1:50:41Speaker 7: not making any money. Yeah, I got scammed. My question
- 1:50:44Speaker 7: is what makes it custom?
- 1:50:45Speaker 5: Just the way it looks.
- 1:50:47Speaker 10: Oh like it was like gold had like shiny gold
- 1:50:50Speaker 10: on it. I had my name on it.
- 1:50:51Speaker 5: Okay, but I didn't do anything specially.
- 1:50:53Speaker 7: I'm going with Josh.
- 1:50:56Speaker 4: All right, hang on one second, all right, So at
- 1:50:58Speaker 4: a special attashment, who's got.
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: The dumber the dumber item?
- 1:51:02Speaker 6: Josh, Josh, Josh, Josh, You guys are all accurate, But
- 1:51:07Speaker 6: I think it doesn't.
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: I think it's going to fit the spirit of the
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: game here. Yeah right, yeah, Yeah, it's definitely dumber. It's
- 1:51:14Speaker 1: a stupid loser thing to busy. Yeah sure, huh.
- 1:51:17Speaker 7: I don't know what the problem is. It's it's golden
- 1:51:20Speaker 7: has its name on it.
- 1:51:21Speaker 6: This is more like I spend a thousand dollars on
- 1:51:23Speaker 6: a Pokemont card. This is that that's that's a different category,
- 1:51:25Speaker 6: I believe.
- 1:51:26Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:51:26Speaker 4: Yeah, uh so I'm saying that Amy so far As
- 1:51:29Speaker 4: is still sticking around. I mean, no, you you vote,
- 1:51:33Speaker 4: I say, Josh, all right, you think Josh sticks around?
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm saying Amy sticks around Josh.
- 1:51:40Speaker 4: All right, bugusault all right, cool, all right, Josh, thank
- 1:51:42Speaker 4: you for the call. Appreciate you. Listen, Let's go to uh, Aaron, Aaron,
- 1:51:47Speaker 4: what's the dumbest thing you've purchased?
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: My friend?
- 1:51:50Speaker 10: What's going on?
- 1:51:51Speaker 1: Fellas lady.
- 1:51:52Speaker 10: The dumbest thing I purchased was a automatic T shirt folder.
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: Okay, see now you got medicines attention into this, so
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: they see that a machine that you just put the
- 1:52:07Speaker 1: T shirt on and it does it? Or is it
- 1:52:09Speaker 1: one of those yeah yeah.
- 1:52:10Speaker 8: So no yeah.
- 1:52:12Speaker 10: So it's like a little machine that you put like
- 1:52:14Speaker 10: the T shirt in, but first of all, trying to
- 1:52:15Speaker 10: get the T shirt in it like with a half
- 1:52:17Speaker 10: bow itself. Secondly, it only folded like lightweight undershirts, like
- 1:52:22Speaker 10: if you have a normal T shirt, Like it was
- 1:52:24Speaker 10: too heavy for it to actually work. Second it only
- 1:52:27Speaker 10: worked like five times, and then they would like diet
- 1:52:31Speaker 10: I watched.
- 1:52:32Speaker 4: I got I don't know, I got suckered and watching
- 1:52:34Speaker 4: this video about how the laundry facility works on a
- 1:52:37Speaker 4: cruise ship. And because think about all the towels, all
- 1:52:41Speaker 4: the sheets, all this stuff like crazy, and it's constant
- 1:52:44Speaker 4: because like the amount of time. So this was like
- 1:52:46Speaker 4: the towel cleaning machine. Yeah, and how it folds the towels.
- 1:52:50Speaker 4: They just feed these towels into this machine and it
- 1:52:52Speaker 4: folds them perfectly. I'm like, that's awesome.
- 1:52:55Speaker 7: I wondered that.
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like they're sitting there doing it by hand.
- 1:52:59Speaker 4: They take this giant load out of the dryer and
- 1:53:02Speaker 4: then you feed them like throw them in this thing
- 1:53:05Speaker 4: and then straightens them out, throws them through, folds and
- 1:53:07Speaker 4: folds foot and comes out the other end in the stack.
- 1:53:09Speaker 4: And they take the stacks. They put them in those
- 1:53:10Speaker 4: wheelie carts. They around on the deck.
- 1:53:13Speaker 7: Somebody and then the swans. Yeah so good, but this
- 1:53:16Speaker 7: isn't that?
- 1:53:17Speaker 10: Yeah something else, No, No, that it barely worked with
- 1:53:21Speaker 10: like I said, lightweight undershirt. And I was thinking I
- 1:53:24Speaker 10: was going to.
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: Save time and yeah, what makes it?
- 1:53:26Speaker 10: You know, I'm doing that? But I was it was
- 1:53:29Speaker 10: it was It was like fifteen years ago off of
- 1:53:33Speaker 10: a website web name.
- 1:53:35Speaker 4: All right, so I say, I say, Aaron has the
- 1:53:38Speaker 4: dumber purchase absolutely question.
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: So Amy had a nice run. I think everybody agrees.
- 1:53:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:53:46Speaker 4: And by the way, somebody said that the bug assault
- 1:53:48Speaker 4: is bad ass. I have the Co two Revolver and
- 1:53:50Speaker 4: it works great down and their nest even from a
- 1:53:54Speaker 4: good distance.
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: Okay, but that must be a pump.
- 1:53:59Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, the Co two one sounds pretty cool though.
- 1:54:02Speaker 4: By that one, Amy, thank you for listening. Appreciate you.
- 1:54:08Speaker 4: All right, So Aaron's and the lead with the automatic
- 1:54:11Speaker 4: T shirt folder. Dumbest thing you've purchased. Let's go to Angel.
- 1:54:16Speaker 4: Hey Angel, what's up, dumbest thing you've purchased?
- 1:54:22Speaker 8: A Right?
- 1:54:22Speaker 18: During the Pokemon Go craze, my wife and I bought
- 1:54:26Speaker 18: these two bracelets forty each.
- 1:54:29Speaker 10: That let us know when say less it was a
- 1:54:31Speaker 10: Pokemon something nearby.
- 1:54:33Speaker 1: Oh no, wow, that's really it's pretty cool.
- 1:54:39Speaker 7: When there's a Pokemon nearby, so it connects.
- 1:54:43Speaker 10: Or something.
- 1:54:45Speaker 6: Okay, so you have to have your Pokemon Go app. Yeah,
- 1:54:48Speaker 6: it just alerts you when you're bat.
- 1:54:51Speaker 14: What do you don't say?
- 1:54:52Speaker 7: Was this is when they were elementary school Sweethearts, and
- 1:54:54Speaker 7: he was like in third grade.
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: No, no, no, you know what. I don't think it's
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: a dumb purchase. What I don't because you could locate
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: Pokemon without having your phone out. It's actually pretty good.
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: You're you're not making for I think it's actually useful.
- 1:55:13Speaker 7: It's useful, but once you locate the Pokemon.
- 1:55:16Speaker 4: Useful will be like, oh, I had to do my
- 1:55:18Speaker 4: laundry for my clothing and I needed to fold it
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: and put it away. This might save me some time.
- 1:55:22Speaker 4: Did it work right? No, Like, Pokemon is completely unnecessary.
- 1:55:27Speaker 1: If you want to become a Pokemon master, you got
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: to capture. Yeah.
- 1:55:32Speaker 7: I think we have a new leader in the clubhouse.
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: All right, dumb dumb purchase. Angel sticks around, Angel, Angel, Angel,
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: You're smart, dude. You're on the Pokemon island, all right, Angel,
- 1:55:46Speaker 1: Hang on one second? Uh, Aaron? Good luck with the
- 1:55:50Speaker 1: T shirt folding. It's amazing.
- 1:55:52Speaker 4: I watched the shirt folder, guys. I watch these people
- 1:55:55Speaker 4: on online and it shows like, oh, this is the
- 1:55:58Speaker 4: best way to fold your underwear, and they like do
- 1:56:02Speaker 4: this thing where they flip it around and then it
- 1:56:04Speaker 4: creates a pocket and you fold this other part and
- 1:56:06Speaker 4: I'm like, who is taking that much time? Never to
- 1:56:09Speaker 4: fold Underwell?
- 1:56:10Speaker 1: It was it was crazy. I was I was doing
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: an event at Lazy Dog Restaurants and there was a
- 1:56:16Speaker 1: woman there that was hanging out and she taught all
- 1:56:19Speaker 1: of our listeners how to like fold it a certain
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: way and it's so quick. How Yeah, I'm just like
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: how you? Obviously I couldn't retain it, but everyone else
- 1:56:29Speaker 1: did and their mind was blown.
- 1:56:30Speaker 4: It's impressive when you go to a store that people
- 1:56:32Speaker 4: have to go around to all the you know, the
- 1:56:35Speaker 4: tables of shirts and they can just quickly fold it.
- 1:56:37Speaker 1: Yeah, seem just like problem. It was like a half
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: a second folded perfectly. Yeah, I hated it.
- 1:56:46Speaker 4: All right, last man standing so far. It's Angel and
- 1:56:49Speaker 4: he's his watch that alerts him when Pokemon are nearby.
- 1:56:56Speaker 1: Let's go to.
- 1:56:57Speaker 4: Alyssa, Hey, Alyssa, Hey, all right, what's the dumbest thing
- 1:57:02Speaker 4: you've purchased?
- 1:57:04Speaker 14: Two of my kids have those?
- 1:57:05Speaker 4: Oh well, the kids, their children the angels of grown
- 1:57:09Speaker 4: ass man teenagers.
- 1:57:13Speaker 14: Still so I am one of those victims of the
- 1:57:15Speaker 14: timu Like we're going to show you things you don't need,
- 1:57:18Speaker 14: and you're going to get suckered in and I just
- 1:57:21Speaker 14: recently bought little plastic raccoons with like trash can lids
- 1:57:28Speaker 14: on their heads fit into the top of your extra
- 1:57:31Speaker 14: toilet paper rolls, right on the back of your toilet.
- 1:57:35Speaker 4: Yeah, so with the toilet you have an extra roll
- 1:57:36Speaker 4: of toilet paper.
- 1:57:37Speaker 1: It's just on the tank.
- 1:57:38Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: Yeah, it's.
- 1:57:41Speaker 14: Raccoon head. I mean the little trash can lid on
- 1:57:47Speaker 14: his head.
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: That awesome.
- 1:57:49Speaker 7: This is the gift that keeps on giving the game.
- 1:57:53Speaker 14: It looks like he's popping out of.
- 1:57:56Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: And it's cute and you have that, man, Greg's not
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: Greg would be mad.
- 1:58:03Speaker 6: How should I say? These these raccoon toilet paper we
- 1:58:06Speaker 6: eat them? What does they cost?
- 1:58:09Speaker 18: Oh?
- 1:58:10Speaker 14: I think like two of them, two different colors, were
- 1:58:12Speaker 14: like six dollars or something. But I I somehow accidentally
- 1:58:16Speaker 14: ended up buying more than I needed. Every single toilet
- 1:58:21Speaker 14: before we have liked.
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: All right, hang on one second, all right?
- 1:58:28Speaker 4: So between Angel and Alyssa Alyssa, and this is this
- 1:58:32Speaker 4: is this is for the win because we're out of time.
- 1:58:35Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, this is, as Greg would say, this
- 1:58:37Speaker 7: unsightly and ridiculous.
- 1:58:40Speaker 1: This is It's got to be Alyssa Alyssa all right, Melissa, Yeah, Alyssa,
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: because the bracelets useful.
- 1:58:47Speaker 5: At least there's a goal in mind.
- 1:58:50Speaker 4: Why do I feel like you're pandering to the Pokemon
- 1:58:52Speaker 4: because so big, you don't want to offend all the people. Okay,
- 1:58:56Speaker 4: so how do you defend that?
- 1:58:59Speaker 8: So do you?
- 1:59:00Speaker 4: It's it's use what it's genius because adult, because.
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: You're when you're playing the Pokemon game, you have to
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: have your phone out the whole time. This one you
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: can just have the bracelet and it indicates when it's around.
- 1:59:12Speaker 1: You don't have to have your phone out. It's smart.
- 1:59:14Speaker 4: It is Yeah, for dopes to buy, Yes, for people
- 1:59:19Speaker 4: that love the game, for people collect what about people
- 1:59:23Speaker 4: who just love you love raccoons?
- 1:59:25Speaker 1: I love raccoons.
- 1:59:26Speaker 4: Okay, so but people who love raccoons.
- 1:59:28Speaker 1: I'm saying, if they're going head to head, the bracelet
- 1:59:30Speaker 1: is smarter than the decor or it probably loves the
- 1:59:35Speaker 1: watch thing.
- 1:59:35Speaker 4: You probably love the watch thing or does that kind
- 1:59:37Speaker 4: of like a cheat? No, I mean it's used to
- 1:59:39Speaker 4: help people exercise. The point of the game is to
- 1:59:42Speaker 4: walk around exercise, and if the watch helps you, then
- 1:59:45Speaker 4: find Oh I don't understand why wait wait wait, wait, it's.
- 1:59:49Speaker 7: That's a new angle exactly.
- 1:59:50Speaker 4: Yeah, that's not like it's it's like, yeah, you talked
- 1:59:53Speaker 4: to it. You talk to a dude. It's like, hey,
- 1:59:55Speaker 4: you're watching Dancing with the Stars. Yeah, man, there's hot
- 1:59:57Speaker 4: chicks on there.
- 1:59:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:59:58Speaker 4: No, you just say you like ballroom dancing, right, yeah.
- 2:00:00Speaker 7: You want to catch them all?
- 2:00:01Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 2:00:02Speaker 4: Just yeah, you and you want to go and everything
- 2:00:05Speaker 4: you want to go on a on a Pokemon quest quest.
- 2:00:09Speaker 1: Uh.
- 2:00:10Speaker 4: Yes, exercise happens, but it's not like, well I need
- 2:00:13Speaker 4: to figure out a way to get some exercise.
- 2:00:15Speaker 1: I got to catch the cartoon. The phone out the
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: entire time that's on your phone show. Okay, thank you,
- 2:00:23Speaker 1: thank you for so did we agree? Alyssa is the
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, all right, well lit'sa congratulations.
- 2:00:31Speaker 4: You are the winner of this round of Last man Standing.
- 2:00:34Speaker 4: You are the things we have time to talk about.
- 2:00:36Speaker 4: You purchased the dumbest thing. Enjoy those raccoon trash can
- 2:00:40Speaker 4: lids for your toilet paper rolls.
- 2:00:42Speaker 1: Send us extras.
- 2:00:44Speaker 4: All right, hang on one second, we'll get your information.
- 2:00:46Speaker 4: We got some more Woodie show for you. Next hang
- 2:00:48Speaker 4: no Woody Show text stand.
- 2:00:52Speaker 1: Seven.
- 2:00:57Speaker 4: All right, welcome back and congratulations to you. Are winner.
- 2:01:01Speaker 4: What's the dumbest thing you've ever purchased? Last man's standing
- 2:01:05Speaker 4: topic and I have a special guest on the line,
- 2:01:09Speaker 4: even though he's out sick today. It was nice enough
- 2:01:12Speaker 4: to pick up the phone when we called ladies and gentlemen.
- 2:01:16Speaker 1: Yeah, Greg Gory, I love you and I miss you. Yeah,
- 2:01:20Speaker 1: we said the status status missing current current missing.
- 2:01:24Speaker 8: Oh, current current missing, guys, it's so weird to be
- 2:01:29Speaker 8: on the phone with Year.
- 2:01:30Speaker 1: This is bizarre.
- 2:01:32Speaker 8: I went to bed last night. I've been taking my
- 2:01:33Speaker 8: temperature like every hour last night.
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: In the case more accurate, more accurate, though.
- 2:01:40Speaker 8: Apparently I was considering trying that, and then last night
- 2:01:43Speaker 8: I'm like, oh good, it went from one o two
- 2:01:45Speaker 8: to ninety eight. I'm gold. And then this morning one
- 2:01:47Speaker 8: oh one and I'm livid. But I will, I will, uh,
- 2:01:51Speaker 8: I will be in soon.
- 2:01:53Speaker 4: Okay, Well current missing. Yeah, we did as segment missing,
- 2:01:58Speaker 4: and I just wanted to if you were here, which
- 2:02:00Speaker 4: one would you have voted for. I told you about
- 2:02:03Speaker 4: the dumb I told you about the dumb thing that
- 2:02:05Speaker 4: I purchased, that hot towel warmer thing.
- 2:02:09Speaker 8: Okay, so yeah, that's the stupidest.
- 2:02:12Speaker 4: So I brought that up. I told everybody about it.
- 2:02:17Speaker 4: Then we had people call him, what's the dumbest thing
- 2:02:18Speaker 4: that you purchased? Now, it was down between two people.
- 2:02:22Speaker 4: It was down between this person who bought for the
- 2:02:27Speaker 4: extra roll of toilet paper that sits on the tank
- 2:02:30Speaker 4: behind the toilet. It's a little raccoon head that has
- 2:02:35Speaker 4: a trash can lid on its head and it sticks
- 2:02:39Speaker 4: into the hole of the toilet paper roll. So it
- 2:02:42Speaker 4: looks like the raccoons popping out of the roll of
- 2:02:44Speaker 4: toilet paper. Okay, so she bought like a she bought
- 2:02:47Speaker 4: like a two pack of those things.
- 2:02:49Speaker 8: Okay, was this woman two years old?
- 2:02:52Speaker 4: No, that didn't sound like it. I can't say for sure,
- 2:02:55Speaker 4: but didn't sound like it. The other the other finalist,
- 2:02:59Speaker 4: was it due dude who he and his wife or
- 2:03:01Speaker 4: girlfriend whatever, they bought these uh watches or bracelets or
- 2:03:05Speaker 4: whatever that alerts them to when pokemon are nearby.
- 2:03:10Speaker 8: Oh wow. Yeah.
- 2:03:11Speaker 6: So yeah, it's connected to your phone, so you have
- 2:03:13Speaker 6: to look at it like if I brace on your wrist,
- 2:03:15Speaker 6: so you don't have to look down at your phone,
- 2:03:17Speaker 6: you know when pokemon are nearby.
- 2:03:19Speaker 8: So that's that's a real thing.
- 2:03:22Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a real thing. So I'm I'm asking you
- 2:03:25Speaker 4: which one would you have voted for, and then I'll
- 2:03:26Speaker 4: tell you which one we determined to be the dumbest one.
- 2:03:32Speaker 8: Okay, without even knowing the price. Those don't sound cheap
- 2:03:35Speaker 8: the many you said Pokemon, I'm going with Pokemon. And
- 2:03:38Speaker 8: these are grown adults apparently involved with each other. That
- 2:03:42Speaker 8: is how is that even real? That's the thing I've
- 2:03:45Speaker 8: ever heard.
- 2:03:46Speaker 4: Okay, And Menace is trying to make an argument that
- 2:03:49Speaker 4: it's useful.
- 2:03:51Speaker 1: I just think that as genius because then they don't
- 2:03:53Speaker 1: have to have their phone out the entire time, would
- 2:03:55Speaker 1: you hate, Greg, And they could just be indicated when
- 2:03:59Speaker 1: Pokemon is nearby, just you know, yeah, so they can
- 2:04:03Speaker 1: just have this bracelet on and not have their phone
- 2:04:05Speaker 1: now the entire time, which, yah, it's right, you hate.
- 2:04:08Speaker 1: And then you're saying that you're four raccoon decor in
- 2:04:12Speaker 1: somebody's bathroom in plain sight, So you are saying they're
- 2:04:17Speaker 1: both stupid toilets. Yeah yeah, true, yeah, no, true.
- 2:04:23Speaker 8: But I mean men does craft a good argument with
- 2:04:26Speaker 8: the how I that they're quote useful, but that to me,
- 2:04:31Speaker 8: I think a bathroom is, especially a powder room, is
- 2:04:35Speaker 8: the only room that is allowed to be like whimsical
- 2:04:38Speaker 8: or I know you hate that are different and this
- 2:04:42Speaker 8: sounds like this sounds like a single chick who's just has,
- 2:04:45Speaker 8: you know, a lot of cats and she's just trying to.
- 2:04:47Speaker 4: Be cute with the raccoon. Had things all right? Well,
- 2:04:51Speaker 4: we determined that the Pokemon bracelets were the dumber purchase.
- 2:04:56Speaker 8: Agreed, you made the right chick.
- 2:05:00Speaker 13: We let that one.
- 2:05:00Speaker 1: We let that one go. It was the raccoon ads.
- 2:05:04Speaker 13: I was on, Greg.
- 2:05:06Speaker 4: Yeah, so you and Sea Bass, Yeah, you and Sea Bass. Uh,
- 2:05:10Speaker 4: we're definitely yeah, you and Sea Bass aligning weird. Yeah, No,
- 2:05:15Speaker 4: I think it's silly because again, you can, I don't know,
- 2:05:19Speaker 4: you can't really make a solid argument of how the
- 2:05:21Speaker 4: usefulness of the raccoons the raccoon heads.
- 2:05:25Speaker 7: And yeah, like I was trying to think, like you, Greg,
- 2:05:27Speaker 7: first of all, who does who leaves their toilet paper
- 2:05:29Speaker 7: rolls out? Second of all, who embellishes them with a
- 2:05:33Speaker 7: raccoon a plastic raccoon toy? I did not think that
- 2:05:36Speaker 7: would be acceptable. See, yeah, I think Greg's on the
- 2:05:45Speaker 7: right track.
- 2:05:45Speaker 6: And like, if it's an elderly dementia patient, okay, right,
- 2:05:51Speaker 6: by the way, who thought Greg's boys could get even sexy.
- 2:05:53Speaker 8: I know it's weird, it's pretty good, it's disgusting.
- 2:05:57Speaker 4: All right, Well, Greg, I hope you feel better. Thank you,
- 2:06:01Speaker 4: thank you for picking up.
- 2:06:04Speaker 8: Oh my pleasure. I miss you guys.
