The Minnesota Twins just made baseball history by selecting Vahn Lackey, a phenom catcher from Georgia Tech, with the third overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft — the first time in 25 years they’ve taken a catcher in the first round. Lackey, who slashed .397 with 20 homers and 78 RBIs in his final college season, also won the Johnny Bench Award and ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
