- 2:13Speaker 2: We just want to make sure you guys remember this
- 2:15Speaker 2: simple equation. College football Saturdays plus Boost Them with the
- 2:19Speaker 2: Boys profit boost tokens equal bigger wins.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Every week. Every week Fandel gives a fifty percent profit
- 2:25Speaker 1: boost token on any college football game of your choice.
- 2:29Speaker 2: You don't believe me, Boost with the Boys fifty percent
- 2:31Speaker 2: profit boost token. Let me talk to you about this
- 2:33Speaker 2: genius individual how to crystal ball. Maybe it does time
- 2:36Speaker 2: travel a little bit, this person.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Time fifteen leg parlay.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you don't have to burn your time out.
- 2:44Speaker 1: You I'm looking at it. Last week we had a
- 2:48Speaker 1: monster one. We got another eighty four seven hundred odds one.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Were I need in on these? Yeah? This is unbelievable.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Ten dollars fifteen league parlay plus eighty four thousand, seven
- 2:59Speaker 2: and sixty one fourteen money line picks.
- 3:02Speaker 1: No, he's not really gonna read it.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yes he is Alabama over Georgia, Old Miss over LSU,
- 3:06Speaker 2: Southern missover Jacksonville State, Washington State over Colorado State, Louisville,
- 3:10Speaker 2: Louisiana over Marshall, South Carolina over Kentucky s R JP,
- 3:14Speaker 2: Texas A and M over Auburn, Ohio State over Washington,
- 3:17Speaker 2: Iowa State over Arizona, Tennessee over Mississippi State, Indiana over Iowa,
- 3:20Speaker 2: Boise State over app State, Stanford over San Jose State,
- 3:23Speaker 2: Kennessaw State over Middle Tennessee. Then there was one spread pick,
- 3:27Speaker 2: and I'm sure this individual was shitting their pants. It
- 3:30Speaker 2: was Oregon to cover against Penn State.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I got reading it. I already know how it turns out, right.
- 3:37Speaker 3: I just saw the game go to overtime again.
- 3:39Speaker 2: I so every week I go on FanDuel and I
- 3:41Speaker 2: just put together essentially a fifteen lay parlay.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yes hopefully was similar.
- 3:45Speaker 3: To the retirement special.
- 3:46Speaker 2: And it's usually old yellow by the first leg and
- 3:51Speaker 2: then the rest of them hit and I'm just like,
- 3:52Speaker 2: man at that one that's keeps coming back.
- 3:54Speaker 1: You just you want to be in spot. You want
- 3:56Speaker 1: to be in a spot tour. That last leg is
- 3:58Speaker 1: you got Oregon Penn State. You were shitting yourself, like
- 4:01Speaker 1: do I cash out? Do I cash out? Do I ride?
- 4:05Speaker 1: I mean ten bucks to win eighty almost eighty five
- 4:07Speaker 1: hundred dollars. It's it's unbelievable.
- 4:09Speaker 2: We had ourselves a little situation this weekend, perfect which
- 4:12Speaker 2: I'll get to make sure you had a FanDuel dot
- 4:14Speaker 2: Com force slash bust and download the app, grab your
- 4:16Speaker 2: Boosting with the Boys proper boost choke it and make
- 4:19Speaker 2: those even sweeter. If you're wondering, by the way, where's
- 4:22Speaker 2: my card at hey.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Boosting with the Boys.
- 4:24Speaker 2: By Busting with the Boys, we put out of parlay
- 4:26Speaker 2: every single week. Seven thousand people on our college football
- 4:31Speaker 2: parlay rode with us this past weekend. That's over three
- 4:34Speaker 2: hundred thousand dollars of potential winnings and that parlay hit.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Let's give a round of a plus.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Love you, Fandel, Thank you, Thank you, Fandel.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Three hundred dollars that we basically made the economy better.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Yeah, people have the economy. People got to get on
- 4:49Speaker 1: the site, They got to find the little Busting with
- 4:51Speaker 1: the Boys parlay from the locker room that we put together,
- 4:53Speaker 1: and they got to hit it along with the little
- 4:55Speaker 1: Josh Payton tab.
- 4:56Speaker 3: The Little Josh Payton, the Little Josh do not click
- 4:58Speaker 3: the big one don't click is not the one you No,
- 5:01Speaker 3: you want to hit the n C A A F
- 5:03Speaker 3: at the top.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You want to see the little that little line in
- 5:06Speaker 1: that like top middle area. You want to slide it over,
- 5:09Speaker 1: fight over until you see Josh Pate. You hit Josh Payton.
- 5:11Speaker 1: That's where. That's where the money's made right there. That's
- 5:14Speaker 1: the ra Me Noodle Express.
- 5:15Speaker 3: That's it.
- 5:16Speaker 2: When we're on the the idea of multiple leg parlays,
- 5:20Speaker 2: we had a ten lake parlay that you cooked up Saturday, yes,
- 5:23Speaker 2: and we watched. We streamed Penn State versus Oregon. Hey,
- 5:28Speaker 2: we're obviously routing every single lake leg left. Every leg
- 5:31Speaker 2: hit the last and it was all not The first
- 5:36Speaker 2: one died all alive the last one. It was Georgia
- 5:39Speaker 2: beat Alabama. And we sat there, it was at the
- 5:43Speaker 2: third quarter of that game, and we'll sitting back. He
- 5:46Speaker 2: had a little s I l one situation going on
- 5:48Speaker 2: with his back, so he's moving around trying to keep
- 5:49Speaker 2: keep active. I'm sitting man, I'm looking back at him, like,
- 5:52Speaker 2: this is your parlay? Do I need to I'm gonna
- 5:54Speaker 2: follow whatever he does. If he catches out, all cash
- 5:56Speaker 2: out as well. If not all right out, with the boy.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I look back over my sholder. He just goes, we're going,
- 6:01Speaker 2: We're going, and we done kind of has to at
- 6:03Speaker 2: that and there was a it was.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Real thumb and Luista there though you and.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Garrett was over there screaming at the TV. I'm thinking
- 6:11Speaker 2: to myself, I love the fact that my friend is happy,
- 6:14Speaker 2: but my wallet would be a whole lot happier if
- 6:17Speaker 2: my friend was really sad.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Yeah, because you you even had a decent cash out
- 6:24Speaker 1: when they were down what down seven in the fourth quarter. Yeah,
- 6:29Speaker 1: and there's about like they still had the two minutes,
- 6:31Speaker 1: they still had the two minute time out.
- 6:32Speaker 3: They're down three. There's a three three point game.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, so that's probably smart to because I'm sitting there,
- 6:39Speaker 1: I'm like, man, the way this game is going, I
- 6:41Speaker 1: don't see Georgia. I don't see Georgia scoring drop touchdown.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Yeah that was it. That was that was take the lead.
- 6:48Speaker 3: But see Bama still scored a touchdown on their drive.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Georgia drops the TV doesn't score. That would have been
- 6:53Speaker 3: twenty eight, twenty four. They take the lead for I
- 6:55Speaker 3: think the first time in the game in the fourth
- 6:58Speaker 3: quarter total total games. They drop it at that point,
- 7:02Speaker 3: You're all you needed to have happened was a team
- 7:05Speaker 3: that has not lost at home since pre COVID to win. Yeah,
- 7:09Speaker 3: that's a tough time.
- 7:10Speaker 1: But again, the cash out in the fourth quarter was
- 7:13Speaker 1: like Georgia had to punt, they punted, Bama's got the ball,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and it's like, all right, they might have just a
- 7:19Speaker 1: little bit of time left with no timeouts if they
- 7:22Speaker 1: stopped Bama here. So I'm thinking I couldn't believe that
- 7:25Speaker 1: they would giving me the cash out. I should have
- 7:26Speaker 1: probably took it. Looking back on the hindsight, it's twenty
- 7:28Speaker 1: twenty always, But look, Bama won and we have a
- 7:32Speaker 1: great game now with Vandy going out to got a
- 7:35Speaker 1: great game Wednesday game. Is that exciting anymore? Yeah? That exciting, Josh.
- 7:40Speaker 1: There was a conversation earlier this week that came up
- 7:42Speaker 1: that would love your expertise. Maman Taylor proposed had it
- 7:47Speaker 1: felt like he had nervous this was coming. There was
- 7:49Speaker 1: a debate. He's like, hey, he's talking about Nebraska. Like,
- 7:53Speaker 1: let's say, what was it if Nebraska wins out and
- 7:55Speaker 1: goes eleven and one. But Penn State, now that they
- 7:58Speaker 1: lost to Oregon, say Penn State lose to a state
- 8:00Speaker 1: and they lose another game. USC lost to Illinois. So
- 8:03Speaker 1: what if USC is just not very good, just based
- 8:05Speaker 1: purely on strength of schedule? It waters all the way
- 8:08Speaker 1: down to its lowest level. Nebraska wins out goes eleven
- 8:11Speaker 1: and one. No, they don't go to the Big Ten
- 8:13Speaker 1: Championship because Oregon and Ohio State are undefeated. They're playing
- 8:16Speaker 1: in the Big Ten Championship. So Nebraska would be sitting
- 8:18Speaker 1: at eleven and one not playing in the championship game.
- 8:22Speaker 1: In his mind, they wouldn't get in the college who
- 8:24Speaker 1: will play? I said it. There's a conversation, he says,
- 8:27Speaker 1: there's an actual argument that Nebraska could potentially.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Not be in the conte Now do you want so
- 8:31Speaker 2: that's how the conversation. Do you want to know how
- 8:32Speaker 2: it ended? Or do you want to give your opinion
- 8:34Speaker 2: first on that?
- 8:35Speaker 3: Can I just end it?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Okay?
- 8:36Speaker 3: Good, So go ahead, I want.
- 8:40Speaker 1: To know, right, that's ultimately what happened. Like it just ended.
- 8:44Speaker 3: There was a precedent set last year Indiana did a
- 8:46Speaker 3: version of this. Yeah, Indiana was clearly in the playoff
- 8:51Speaker 3: and they played a softer net schedule. Then what Nebraska
- 8:54Speaker 3: will have played in this scenario, and then also, am
- 8:57Speaker 3: I assuming it's Ohio's eight Oregon Big Ten title game?
- 9:02Speaker 3: Am I assuming we got it?
- 9:03Speaker 2: If Michigan wins out, if Michigan's ten and one going
- 9:05Speaker 2: into a house that you have to assume Michigan beats
- 9:08Speaker 2: a house state.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Ah, so there's an angle here. Okay, Well that's actually
- 9:11Speaker 3: better for Nebraska because they're head to head loss. They're
- 9:14Speaker 3: only one is against now half of the Big Ten
- 9:16Speaker 3: Championship Game participants, So your fortune actually works against your
- 9:21Speaker 3: prediction because the better in Michigan does, the better in
- 9:23Speaker 3: Nebraska's lost looks. So there's no world where they get
- 9:26Speaker 3: left out at eleven and one either way, I want
- 9:28Speaker 3: to stay that very clear.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Any team, any team in the power.
- 9:31Speaker 3: In the power too, probably in the power for definitely
- 9:35Speaker 3: in the power too, but it doubly especially if Michigan
- 9:38Speaker 3: makes the Big Ten title game, and that's and it
- 9:40Speaker 3: was a close loss, at least on the scoreboard it
- 9:43Speaker 3: was a close loss. I would there was no way.
- 9:46Speaker 3: There's no way to leave them out.
- 9:47Speaker 1: This is also coming from a guy that went two
- 9:48Speaker 1: and three last week.
- 9:50Speaker 3: How did you do last week? Though?
- 9:51Speaker 1: Is that important? I did? Questions well?
- 9:54Speaker 2: I asked the questions, the powers in the question.
- 9:57Speaker 3: This is how we ended up with James Franklin coaching
- 9:59Speaker 3: Texas Tech. I think at the end of last week's show,
- 10:01Speaker 3: because you stuck to asking the questions, and then I
- 10:04Speaker 3: think we triggered a Penn State loss.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I think we did.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I think the conversation that took place at the end
- 10:09Speaker 2: of last week's show was if James Franklin doesn't win
- 10:12Speaker 2: this game and they're destined to always be tand too,
- 10:13Speaker 2: does James Franklin leave their job?
- 10:16Speaker 3: Yeah? And then clearly you got under landing scan. Clearly
- 10:19Speaker 3: you affected the outcome of the game.
- 10:20Speaker 1: I don't think you Will did. Will was just a
- 10:22Speaker 1: messenger and right, yeah, you burned a source.
- 10:26Speaker 3: You burned a source. Yeah. Yeah, for the betterment of
- 10:28Speaker 3: Dan Lanning. Yeah. SCO ducks Wow, SCO ducks.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Yeah. The Penn State James Franklin. It uh, it makes
- 10:38Speaker 1: me laugh too, because it's like, all right, do you
- 10:40Speaker 1: have Are you saying there should be no patience with
- 10:43Speaker 1: James Franklin.
- 10:44Speaker 2: No, I think the conversation is now going to be
- 10:47Speaker 2: started of James Franklin. And I don't think it's like
- 10:50Speaker 2: maybe James Franklin knows. He said a ceiling at Penn
- 10:53Speaker 2: State as well. Maybe there's a place down south that
- 10:56Speaker 2: he can maybe find better talent and get over that.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Trowing at thirty a A. You're talking about just straight retirement.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Are you talking about a program?
- 11:03Speaker 1: About program?
- 11:04Speaker 3: Oh? A program?
- 11:05Speaker 2: Program eight? Nashville's beach, get down there. I'm just saying,
- 11:10Speaker 2: how do we know Penn State won't just win?
- 11:12Speaker 1: Out here? They are? I believe there's still yes, But
- 11:17Speaker 1: if we're talking just about Penn State, they are still
- 11:20Speaker 1: what They're still up there in the odds with Fandiel
- 11:22Speaker 1: to win the national title?
- 11:23Speaker 3: Still fifth? Yeah, wow, still got to go to Ohio State.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Right Listen, I'm not a James fakel heter. I'm a
- 11:29Speaker 2: big fan of Yeah, you just asked the questions question. Yeah,
- 11:32Speaker 2: I'm gonna ask you a question, and maybe a conversation
- 11:34Speaker 2: has gotten started.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Maybe conversation will start.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Because you can't be in Oregon at home, favored, how
- 11:40Speaker 2: are you gonna go to Columbus in a couple of
- 11:41Speaker 2: weeks and win that?
- 11:41Speaker 3: And if you can't go to Columbus and win, you're
- 11:43Speaker 3: just ten and two again.
- 11:44Speaker 2: You're just tennan with your best team nine to three
- 11:48Speaker 2: because Nebraska comes.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Nebraska comes to town as well.
- 11:50Speaker 3: If your two losses already before you go to Ohio State,
- 11:53Speaker 3: imagine that conversation.
- 11:54Speaker 1: You know who threws the ball more than anybody in
- 11:56Speaker 1: college football? Nebraska?
- 11:58Speaker 2: You know his quarterback has what the highest percentage completion
- 12:01Speaker 2: percentage in college football?
- 12:02Speaker 3: Talk to the Nebraska sucks for Michigan State?
- 12:04Speaker 1: You know state too. You know who had the greatest
- 12:08Speaker 1: bye week practices that Coach Rule and coach Holgerson have
- 12:10Speaker 1: ever seen in their life? Nebraska, Temple.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Panthers, who have a top ten pick a lot of
- 12:21Speaker 2: bye weeks.
- 12:22Speaker 1: We've a lot of.
- 12:24Speaker 3: What would you say has been the second toughest by
- 12:27Speaker 3: week practice session of the matt Rule tenure any any stop?
- 12:31Speaker 3: Like they had some tough weeks at Temple, they have
- 12:33Speaker 3: some tough weeks at Baylor. What do you think comes
- 12:35Speaker 3: the closest? Given that this past week that was the
- 12:38Speaker 3: toughest bye week? But what would be second?
- 12:42Speaker 1: With coach rule? With what I know? I only know
- 12:45Speaker 1: coach rule at Nebraska. I know the one where they
- 12:47Speaker 1: got was it did we play Illinois on Friday night
- 12:51Speaker 1: after we got curbs by Michigan? I don't follow. Was
- 12:55Speaker 1: that a couple of a couple of years ago. I
- 12:57Speaker 1: believe there's a lot. There's a lot that happened. They
- 13:00Speaker 1: talked about it was a bloodbath. I was just they
- 13:02Speaker 1: were in pads on Sunday, but it sounds like this
- 13:05Speaker 1: one was a very physical on Tuesday and Wednesday was
- 13:07Speaker 1: a very physical week. Last week. It is hell when
- 13:10Speaker 1: you when you lose going into a bye week. It
- 13:12Speaker 1: just depends on what kind of mood the coaches is in.
- 13:15Speaker 2: And also not to put salt on the way you
- 13:17Speaker 2: lose to you lost the toughness battle, right, and so
- 13:20Speaker 2: it's like, yeah, if you want to instill toughness, we
- 13:22Speaker 2: got to put the pads up.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Like the bye week we have when we got molligwapped
- 13:26Speaker 1: by Ohio State my senior year was like those practices
- 13:30Speaker 1: were brutal, Yeah, talking, take them to the ground, all
- 13:34Speaker 1: of it bro and that is not a place you
- 13:36Speaker 1: want to be in as a player.
- 13:37Speaker 2: My senior year we didn't do very well and during
- 13:40Speaker 2: Bowl practice was when hell broke loose. Luckily for me,
- 13:44Speaker 2: I got a couple of rest days, but I had
- 13:46Speaker 2: watched I had to watch.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Hell on FULD some programs absolutely get after it during
- 13:50Speaker 1: bowl season. Yeah, it's like an early spring. It's like
- 13:52Speaker 1: another iteration of spring. A lot of new guys see
- 13:54Speaker 1: what they can do. I think about next year, what's
- 13:56Speaker 1: going to happen. Yep.
- 13:57Speaker 2: So yeah, it can get bloody, especially in college football
- 14:00Speaker 2: for sure. Before we get to our first game, I
- 14:03Speaker 2: just want to congratulate you man. Your hair is growing
- 14:06Speaker 2: back fast.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 14:08Speaker 2: A lot of people that are sitting here watching the
- 14:10Speaker 2: show right now, I thought it's not coming back. A
- 14:12Speaker 2: lot of doubters and a lot of haters out there,
- 14:14Speaker 2: A lot of doubters and a lot of haters not here.
- 14:16Speaker 3: No, No, frankly, there are some people here that thought
- 14:19Speaker 3: it would be better not coming back. Like some people
- 14:22Speaker 3: I don't want to name names. Some people thought you
- 14:24Speaker 3: looked great as you were. Yeah.
- 14:26Speaker 1: I do feel good with the way I look so
- 14:28Speaker 1: much so that it's like, you know, maybe I do
- 14:30Speaker 1: show it to my haircut appointment next weekend, like hey,
- 14:32Speaker 1: let's buzz it off again. Yeah, especially we go out
- 14:35Speaker 1: we were uh Michigan State. I think it's it's here
- 14:38Speaker 1: to stay.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Definitely.
- 14:39Speaker 2: My favorites of that game eleven point favorites.
- 14:41Speaker 1: It's like ten and a half or eleven and a
- 14:42Speaker 1: half if you can move the line of sixteen and
- 14:45Speaker 1: a half.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Okay, sof Nebraska loses, Nebraska loses, we won't. Okay, this
- 14:51Speaker 2: is a hypothetic. We're living in a fantasy world because
- 14:52Speaker 2: I agree with you're not going to lose. Do you
- 14:55Speaker 2: go to your haircut appointment on Tuesday next week? Still
- 14:57Speaker 2: just waste fifty dollars.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I think if Nebraska lose is anybody who has me
- 15:01Speaker 1: in their phone book should be calling me because this
- 15:05Speaker 1: is scary hours. It is spooped over, It is spooked over.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Where's I can't lose you? The first week is spooked over? Yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 1: I can't have that. You gotta give it. If we
- 15:12Speaker 1: lost to Michigan, say, you probably give it ten minutes
- 15:14Speaker 1: on the timeline. If you see nothing on there, that's
- 15:16Speaker 1: where you got to start dying right now. If I
- 15:18Speaker 1: see that it's close in the fourth I'll be driving
- 15:20Speaker 1: to your house. Yeah, and I'll just tell you listen,
- 15:23Speaker 1: don't do anything drastic waste till November. First. I need
- 15:25Speaker 1: you for all spooked over.

- 15:51Speaker 2: Spooky season for Texas and Florida Texas is at Florida
- 15:56Speaker 2: Anti Texas, Anti.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Texas, notably Anti Texas.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Notably Anti Texas is favored the team you hate the
- 16:02Speaker 2: most minus six and a half ten points in that
- 16:04Speaker 2: game is forty one.
- 16:05Speaker 1: And a half.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I want to just pull something out here.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Here's some paper popper, I got something. Yeah, you know what,
- 16:11Speaker 1: let me get the iPad.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Here's what I want to ask you, guys.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Makes a noise.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Is there a massive gap between these teams? Point spread
- 16:19Speaker 3: says yes. If you're nearly a touchdown favorite on someone
- 16:22Speaker 3: else's field, that means there's a really big gap between
- 16:25Speaker 3: you and them. Right, there's a big gap in the records,
- 16:28Speaker 3: there's a big gap in the rankings. But I'm asking,
- 16:30Speaker 3: is there a massive gap just in the quality of teams.
- 16:33Speaker 3: You've watched both these teams play. So let's pretend DJ
- 16:36Speaker 3: Lagway is not going to turn it over five times Saturday.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Let's just assume defense than he played when he turned
- 16:40Speaker 3: over true. Yea, it's the tall bye week, that tough practices.
- 16:44Speaker 1: You're saying Florida's defense is just as good as Texas's defense.
- 16:48Speaker 3: I'm saying close enough. I'm saying they can match bro.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Okay, but hold on, I think that's the argument he's
- 16:53Speaker 2: putting up.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not the argum parent teams. Right now, we're
- 16:56Speaker 3: comparing teams.
- 16:57Speaker 2: He's saying, let's assume DJ Ligway is not to throw
- 17:00Speaker 2: five interceptions versus a better defense than the team he
- 17:03Speaker 2: threw five interceptions against.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Okay, let's assume he's not even putting that position. All right.
- 17:07Speaker 3: So my big beef in that LSU game was you've
- 17:10Speaker 3: got Jaden Ball running the ball at nearly six yards
- 17:13Speaker 3: per clip, and they ran him ten times against LSU.
- 17:17Speaker 3: They ran him twelve times against Miami. But in the
- 17:19Speaker 3: LSU game, LSU's not pulling away from you, and you've
- 17:22Speaker 3: got your quarterback throwing picks left and right, literally left
- 17:26Speaker 3: and right all parts of the field. There was no
- 17:28Speaker 3: part of the field left uninterceptible by DJ Lagway, why
- 17:31Speaker 3: would you not just run the ball anymore? So? Anyway,
- 17:33Speaker 3: this is more philosophical play. This is more like a
- 17:35Speaker 3: theory based play for me, because I think about a
- 17:37Speaker 3: team that's already lost two games. I think about a
- 17:39Speaker 3: coach that's beyond on the hot seat. I think about
- 17:42Speaker 3: a quarterback that has not had it throwing the ball.
- 17:44Speaker 3: And I think about a running game that, when given
- 17:47Speaker 3: time or when given an opportunity, has been operating pretty efficiently.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I don't want to throw the ball against Texas. I
- 17:53Speaker 3: don't feel like with this O line and ground game,
- 17:55Speaker 3: I should have to. So anyway, when you suck, you've
- 17:58Speaker 3: got the least incentive in the world to keep doing
- 18:00Speaker 3: what you've been doing when you go into the bye week.
- 18:02Speaker 3: I don't know what change is to expect. I just
- 18:05Speaker 3: know they got to change stuff, like no stone is
- 18:07Speaker 3: left unturned in that building. My suspicion is what they
- 18:10Speaker 3: will change is they'll try and compact the game by
- 18:13Speaker 3: running the ball. And the one thing that you can
- 18:15Speaker 3: question about Texas coming into this year is back to
- 18:18Speaker 3: back years they've had to replenish interior defensive line. Now,
- 18:21Speaker 3: Ohio State didn't run in a ton against them, but
- 18:23Speaker 3: Ohio State did good enough to win the game. I
- 18:25Speaker 3: think taking Texas on the road again, first road game
- 18:29Speaker 3: since the trip to Columbus. Yes, we watched arch Manning,
- 18:33Speaker 3: we watched him struggle. I don't magically think he's a
- 18:36Speaker 3: different player just because they come out of a bye week.
- 18:38Speaker 3: I don't think Lagway is either. I just think they
- 18:40Speaker 3: can mask his inefficiencies by using what should be the
- 18:43Speaker 3: actual strength of the Florida offense anyway, and that's the
- 18:46Speaker 3: ground game. That's part one. Part two is even doing that,
- 18:49Speaker 3: you got to raise or thin margin for error. But
- 18:52Speaker 3: that's where I think home field matters. Like to me,
- 18:55Speaker 3: there's not a massive gap. Both of these teams are
- 18:57Speaker 3: win the one hundreds in third down off conversion, so
- 19:01Speaker 3: there's just not a massive gap. I think if Florida
- 19:02Speaker 3: had played Texas a schedule that have the same record
- 19:05Speaker 3: as Texas, But since they haven't and they've lost a
- 19:07Speaker 3: couple more games, there's just like thinking that Texas just
- 19:10Speaker 3: go in there, make sure you don't get hurt. Clean
- 19:12Speaker 3: some things up and then come to the Oklahoma game.
- 19:14Speaker 3: I don't think that's the way it goes. So I'm
- 19:16Speaker 3: going to roll the dice that some stuff changes for
- 19:18Speaker 3: Florida and it reverts back to what it should have
- 19:20Speaker 3: been anyway, and they get this inexplicable win. They beat
- 19:24Speaker 3: Texas out right, and then everyone's asking, well, what now
- 19:27Speaker 3: with Billy Napier? What do we do? Just like last
- 19:29Speaker 3: year is a foregone conclusion, he's going to get fired.
- 19:31Speaker 3: But the thing about a guy is until you fire him,
- 19:34Speaker 3: he gets to keep coaching. And his team didn't quit
- 19:36Speaker 3: on him last year, and I don't think they're going
- 19:37Speaker 3: to quit on him this year. So I am rolling
- 19:39Speaker 3: the dice. The line's only six and a half. We
- 19:42Speaker 3: saw multiple games last week with these weird six and
- 19:45Speaker 3: a half point spreads. FSU Virginia was one of them,
- 19:48Speaker 3: and you say, how could it happen? USC Illinois was
- 19:50Speaker 3: one of them. How could it happen? Well, they both happen,
- 19:53Speaker 3: So it's not the craziest concept in the world to me.
- 19:55Speaker 3: I'm gonna take Florida to cover and win outright.
- 19:58Speaker 1: So you're on the show, so you're saying Flora's gonna.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Win I'm gonna say Florida is gonna win in your
- 20:03Speaker 3: in your record next week.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Yes you, I mean you might as well just take
- 20:06Speaker 1: the points right for the show.
- 20:08Speaker 3: No, actually, actually I want Florida to win, but maybe
- 20:11Speaker 3: I'll go Indiana Illinois mode like you did. Maybe I'll
- 20:13Speaker 3: take the dog to win out right, but the favorite
- 20:15Speaker 3: to cover. It seems to work out around. Perhaps we
- 20:20Speaker 3: go that route you want scooptober that's my will. I've
- 20:24Speaker 3: tryed and parlay that in fan duel. Just gave me
- 20:26Speaker 3: a frowning face. It said, log off, Yeah, so long.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Get the reminder you spent a little too much time. Yeah,
- 20:33Speaker 1: reality check, Yeah yeah, yeah, the reality chick.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I mean, in the words of Will Compton, to stick
- 20:37Speaker 2: on his phrases like if they if the the dog
- 20:40Speaker 2: wins outright and then the favorite covers like they're.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Onto something, they are they're up? How did they know?
- 20:45Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 20:46Speaker 2: How did they get it? I love everything you said.
- 20:48Speaker 2: No one speaks about college football more poetically than you do.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I think you look at both coaching staffs. You give
- 20:53Speaker 2: the edge of Texas. Yes, early in the year, Sarkesian
- 20:56Speaker 2: is sitting there being like you think Archie shirt did
- 20:59Speaker 2: he tell you that he's had a big panic attack
- 21:01Speaker 2: both and then I started look at Arch and it's like, Okay,
- 21:04Speaker 2: he's hurt. We can assume he's hurt. They have a
- 21:06Speaker 2: bi week a lot of times that gets fixed. I
- 21:07Speaker 2: wonder what DJ Lagway is up to, and I run
- 21:09Speaker 2: across this Like Florida Gators podcast, it gets like one
- 21:12Speaker 2: hundred and thirty views. They're just all about the Gator.
- 21:14Speaker 2: They will talk about anything else. And apparently DJ Lagway
- 21:17Speaker 2: had a shoulder that he should have got surgery on
- 21:20Speaker 2: this offseason. Didn't get it, according to them. Also has
- 21:23Speaker 2: like a soft tish or an ankle going on which
- 21:24Speaker 2: can't be fixed in the BI week. I think it's
- 21:26Speaker 2: calf calf, soft tish something going on. I got to
- 21:30Speaker 2: take the better defense. I got to take a team
- 21:33Speaker 2: that has stacked more wins consistently, regardless of they're good
- 21:35Speaker 2: teams or not, and they're going to go into a
- 21:38Speaker 2: place where it's like, yeah, it'll be a hostile environment,
- 21:40Speaker 2: but USF didn't have an issue with that at all.
- 21:42Speaker 2: So I will be taking Texas to cover in this game.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to Texas. It's like when you bang
- 21:49Speaker 1: your head against the wall and figure out like, Okay,
- 21:51Speaker 1: you essentially hope this Florida team that we know to
- 21:55Speaker 1: be shows up. Hope is not a strategy. No DJ Lagway,
- 21:59Speaker 1: is the all of a sudden going to be the
- 22:00Speaker 1: DJ Lagway preseason JP or Josh Pate poll one of
- 22:04Speaker 1: the top quarterbacks in the country. I don't think it
- 22:06Speaker 1: happens after you know, even though he's coming off of
- 22:08Speaker 1: a bye week, are they just gonna run the football?
- 22:11Speaker 1: They're still one hundred and seventh in the country running
- 22:13Speaker 1: the football against a very good Texas defense. This isn't
- 22:16Speaker 1: a veteran group that's played that's just a veteran group
- 22:18Speaker 1: that's played together. This is a veteran group that was
- 22:20Speaker 1: a top five defense in the country last year, led
- 22:23Speaker 1: the league in takeaways, top five and run top five
- 22:26Speaker 1: and total yards, top five in points. They're still top
- 22:28Speaker 1: five and yards and top five in points this year.
- 22:31Speaker 1: And they're savvy, bro like this is this is a
- 22:34Speaker 1: defense that all it's gonna take, and you talk about
- 22:36Speaker 1: home field advantage, all it's gonna take is for Texas
- 22:38Speaker 1: to score first, or Texas to score or the ball
- 22:40Speaker 1: to not bounce the correct way one time for the
- 22:43Speaker 1: stadium to be taken out of the game.
- 22:44Speaker 3: I agree.
- 22:45Speaker 1: This isn't like a This isn't like a Napier pressure situation.
- 22:49Speaker 1: This is an entire organization. They haven't started one to
- 22:52Speaker 1: three since nineteen eighty six. Like everybody there is hopeful
- 22:55Speaker 1: that Napier probably doesn't win this game, so they can
- 22:58Speaker 1: just do away with him because the fan base is
- 22:59Speaker 1: so fed up. I mean again, it's like not to
- 23:01Speaker 1: bring Nebraska into every conversation, but a program that's lost
- 23:06Speaker 1: over and over and then the ball doesn't bounce their
- 23:08Speaker 1: way one time. We've got to witness it at Nebraska
- 23:10Speaker 1: Mission a couple of years ago, after just a second series,
- 23:13Speaker 1: when Michigan scores first and then they get an interception,
- 23:17Speaker 1: the game's just done. Like the crowd doesn't even count
- 23:19Speaker 1: any It doesn't. And so if I'm just looking at
- 23:22Speaker 1: this game, you also have to. It's like, do you
- 23:23Speaker 1: believe that Arch because again, this line could be what
- 23:26Speaker 1: it is because you saw the arch manning game against
- 23:29Speaker 1: Ohio State. You haven't really watched a whole lot of
- 23:30Speaker 1: Texas football, myself included. I'm sitting here watching the recap
- 23:33Speaker 1: games and the way that it's like, do you think
- 23:36Speaker 1: he's getting more accurate. Do you think he's getting more confident?
- 23:39Speaker 1: Do you think that the offense is finding a way
- 23:40Speaker 1: to play more sad to getting Wingo the ball in
- 23:43Speaker 1: rpo situations and getting him the ball often and early
- 23:46Speaker 1: in this game, which I think they need to do.
- 23:47Speaker 1: They have a very good run game. I just think
- 23:50Speaker 1: Texas has too much. I have no clue how Florida
- 23:52Speaker 1: is gonna win this game outside of a hope and
- 23:53Speaker 1: a prayer that all of a sudden they find a
- 23:55Speaker 1: run game overnight and be like, hey, DJ, we're not
- 23:58Speaker 1: gonna You're not gonna be the main show, which I
- 24:00Speaker 1: don't think is gonna happen. I think he is, and
- 24:02Speaker 1: I think you put it on his shoulders. The same
- 24:04Speaker 1: thing's gonna happen. You're gonna get the same outcome. So
- 24:06Speaker 1: I like Texas here. I like Texas covering as a favorite.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Was it six and a half on the road in Florida.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I'm gonna keep saying this, all right, So the rushing
- 24:13Speaker 3: statistic you gave is accurate. They're in the one hundreds
- 24:16Speaker 3: in just rush yards per game. I would look at
- 24:19Speaker 3: that if it were three point two yards per carry,
- 24:21Speaker 3: and I would be concerned that they just can't run
- 24:23Speaker 3: the ball. They're in like the five to six yards
- 24:25Speaker 3: per carry range. They just won't run the ball. They're
- 24:28Speaker 3: so they're so intent on force feeding dj lagway at
- 24:31Speaker 3: least they have been that. Like my fundamental thinking is
- 24:34Speaker 3: the shift will be art. We're done with that, and
- 24:36Speaker 3: we're gonna play the game in a phone booth. Is
- 24:38Speaker 3: going to be the ugliest, most hideous game imaginable. That's
- 24:41Speaker 3: the way they win it. You said that's the they
- 24:43Speaker 3: need a prayer. That's the prayer. It's like a thirteen
- 24:45Speaker 3: to nine, sixteen to ten type game. The thing that
- 24:48Speaker 3: scares me the most about Texas is the pass rush,
- 24:51Speaker 3: and so that's the way I neutralize it to some extent. Now,
- 24:53Speaker 3: Texas is edge rushers, is also really good run dye,
- 24:56Speaker 3: So it's not like I'm gonna run it straight at
- 24:58Speaker 3: him because they're one trick ponies.
- 25:00Speaker 1: But and even in twos, I say you go to
- 25:02Speaker 1: a primary run game offense for Florida, you're still going
- 25:06Speaker 1: up a defense that's only allowing a twenty two percent
- 25:09Speaker 1: conversion right on third down, which is one of the
- 25:10Speaker 1: best in the country. The Texas defense is for real.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I know all the conversation around arch manning and everything else,
- 25:15Speaker 1: but they returned six out of the seven on the
- 25:17Speaker 1: back end from last year. They were a top five
- 25:19Speaker 1: defense last year. They're still doing the same thing this year.
- 25:22Speaker 3: See to me, you got to have a strategy the
- 25:23Speaker 3: totals forty forty one something like that in this Yeah,
- 25:26Speaker 3: you got to have a strategy where twenty is good
- 25:27Speaker 3: enough to win your defense. Got to know that going in.
- 25:30Speaker 3: They've they've done that kind of stuff before this year already.
- 25:33Speaker 3: You just you hate to put your guys in that position,
- 25:36Speaker 3: but you got to have some kind of game plan
- 25:38Speaker 3: here where twenty is good enough to win.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Yeah, agreed, Good luck to the Gators. Someone's life is
- 25:46Speaker 1: about to change.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Because if let's say Florida does come out and say,
- 25:50Speaker 2: oh right, we're going to run the ball over and
- 25:52Speaker 2: over again, Texas is going to assume that DJ Lagwise
- 25:54Speaker 2: is still going to be the guy, the prominent guy
- 25:56Speaker 2: in the role throwing the ball over the field. If
- 25:59Speaker 2: you get a couple of series that game and Florida's
- 26:01Speaker 2: running the ball efficiently on you in the averages, you're saying,
- 26:04Speaker 2: sarking those guys, they're they're good enough to make in
- 26:07Speaker 2: game adjustments before halftime, and now take away the run
- 26:10Speaker 2: and make DJ liveway beat with his arm, which he's
- 26:12Speaker 2: proven he can't do.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Right.
- 26:13Speaker 3: See, I think their passing game has to be really unconventional.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Like their pass yardage. There's nothing, probably very little underneath,
- 26:18Speaker 3: probably very little intermediate. It is run the ball, run
- 26:21Speaker 3: the ball, run the ball. We've been effective enough.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Safeties are down.
- 26:24Speaker 3: We a couple of them. He could have he could
- 26:27Speaker 3: have like one hundred and thirty passing yards on three
- 26:29Speaker 3: completions something like that at some point in that game.
- 26:32Speaker 3: It's just gonna be it's gonna have to be a
- 26:34Speaker 3: really really unique, pull it off the shelf, one time
- 26:37Speaker 3: per year, unconventional type approach because there's no standardized Florida
- 26:41Speaker 3: way that they're beating Texas, because we've seen what the
- 26:43Speaker 3: standardized Florida away this year brings.
- 26:46Speaker 1: And then if let's say that happens, the whole world's
- 26:50Speaker 1: gonna be like, why Florida, why can't you Why haven't
- 26:53Speaker 1: you been able to figure this out from the jump?
- 26:55Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 26:55Speaker 1: And then the next time they're losing the back, God,
- 26:56Speaker 1: maybe er he can't figure it. Yeah.
- 26:57Speaker 3: And then Meanwhile, Texas two losses going into red River,
- 27:00Speaker 3: which would suck. Yeah, yeah, and no materir.
- 27:04Speaker 1: We'll see allegedly allegedly you're hearing anything about Matier under
- 27:09Speaker 1: the table.
- 27:09Speaker 3: I think they want to. I think their intent is
- 27:12Speaker 3: to get him ready for that game, but I don't
- 27:14Speaker 3: think even they know if he's going to be ready.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Then again, when your surgeon is on message boards giving updates,
- 27:19Speaker 3: which I thought was a hip of violation, But twenty
- 27:21Speaker 3: twenty five unless he signed something, where are we as
- 27:23Speaker 3: a society? You know, just whatever it is ooctober after all?
- 27:26Speaker 3: So hip A violations, hippo masculine version, Yeah, hippa violation
- 27:30Speaker 3: out the window.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Uh. Missus one, missus Mississippi State at Texas A and M.
- 27:37Speaker 2: They A M's ranked six in the country.
- 27:39Speaker 1: These A and M is.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Favored by fourteen and a half points. Towel points in
- 27:42Speaker 2: the game is fifty five and a half. Man.
- 27:47Speaker 1: To me, I think this is a getback spot for
- 27:49Speaker 1: A and M's offense. They perform very poorly. They've been
- 27:52Speaker 1: performing poorly on third down, especially last week against Auburn.
- 27:56Speaker 1: I look at Mississippi State like, to me, this is
- 27:58Speaker 1: where you know they went, did they have a win
- 28:00Speaker 1: last year in the SEC? New Year though, New Year?
- 28:04Speaker 1: And I think part of me is like, Okay, this
- 28:07Speaker 1: is the end of their year. Like they had a
- 28:08Speaker 1: good year, they got off with a four and one start.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Now they're in SEC play. Now it's over. Because when
- 28:13Speaker 1: you watch the Mississippi State Tennessee game, it's like, you
- 28:15Speaker 1: got a muff punt, you get a Tennessee gets a touchdown,
- 28:19Speaker 1: call back from an offensive PI call, tip ball for Tennessee,
- 28:22Speaker 1: fake punt. Misssippi State pull out a fake punt. Yeah,
- 28:25Speaker 1: two tip balls that were interceptions a third and long.
- 28:28Speaker 1: That like yeah, every now and then you're gonna you're gonna, uh,
- 28:31Speaker 1: you're gonna convert on a third or long situation. But
- 28:33Speaker 1: you just see how Misissippi State one, hats off to them.
- 28:35Speaker 1: They fought their ass off all this way. But going
- 28:37Speaker 1: into A and M, this is like, A, you know,
- 28:39Speaker 1: this is a very good A and M football team.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Their defense, that defensive line is very good, and it's like,
- 28:45Speaker 1: I don't know, the line is what fourteen and a
- 28:47Speaker 1: half teen and a half, And it's like, is this
- 28:49Speaker 1: a trap game situation for A and M? You come
- 28:52Speaker 1: off some big wins earlier in this or this first
- 28:55Speaker 1: part of the year. You just ended with you beat Auburn,
- 28:57Speaker 1: a gritty win. You got some big games coming up
- 29:01Speaker 1: after Mississippi State. Is this a spot to where they
- 29:02Speaker 1: overlook Mississippi State and Missippi States can still create some
- 29:05Speaker 1: type of magic and energy. I personally think it's more
- 29:09Speaker 1: of a giveback spot for that offense, because that offense
- 29:11Speaker 1: can move the ball. They just put themselves in some
- 29:13Speaker 1: bad situations, miss some field goals. I like A and
- 29:16Speaker 1: M at home in this game, But I truly would
- 29:19Speaker 1: not be surprised that this is a trap game situation.
- 29:21Speaker 2: I don't disagree with you that this could be a
- 29:23Speaker 2: trap game if Tennessee doesn't have a game, they do
- 29:26Speaker 2: agains Mississippi State because Mike Elco can sit there and
- 29:28Speaker 2: put the film on be like they took Tennessee, who's
- 29:30Speaker 2: a high powered offense into overtime and barely lost that game.
- 29:33Speaker 2: They could beat anybody. That's kind of conversations taking place
- 29:35Speaker 2: in his locker room. I think the defensive line for
- 29:38Speaker 2: tex Sam is better, and that Blake Shaping, that's the
- 29:40Speaker 2: quarterback Mississippi State. He was getting mopped all over, destroyed destroyed.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Can't take them in hits. You're going to a hostile environment.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Colt or not Texas A and M Colt or not,
- 29:50Speaker 2: they go hard on game day. I think I agree
- 29:53Speaker 2: with you when it comes like Mississippi State was in
- 29:55Speaker 2: the game with Tennessee, because it seemed like Tennessee like
- 29:58Speaker 2: lethargically win of that game, thinking oh, this is Mississippi State,
- 30:01Speaker 2: ignore the cow bells, let's beat him by forty points
- 30:03Speaker 2: and get out there and you.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Let a bad team hang around you muff upon they
- 30:06Speaker 1: end up scoring off that.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, there's two Everything could go wrong for Tennessee
- 30:10Speaker 2: went wrong, and that's what capt Missisippi State in the game.
- 30:13Speaker 2: But it's just enough for Elco to sit there and
- 30:15Speaker 2: be like, these guys can play with anybody, and you can.
- 30:18Speaker 2: You can bring that narrative to your players. You know
- 30:20Speaker 2: your offense is it got a chip on their shoulder
- 30:21Speaker 2: because of Auburn. So I like A and M having
- 30:25Speaker 2: a dominant win over Mississippi State here.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I hope. So that's where I'm riding.
- 30:28Speaker 3: So you're both laying the points here, laying yes, fourteen
- 30:31Speaker 3: and a half, fourteen and a half.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I know it's a big lift. I think we can
- 30:35Speaker 1: do it.
- 30:36Speaker 3: You said, is it a trap game? I don't know
- 30:38Speaker 3: if it's a trap game, Like I believe both of
- 30:39Speaker 3: the mentally, A and M will be fully checked in.
- 30:42Speaker 3: It is a huge benefit to them that that game
- 30:44Speaker 3: Mississippi State had went down to the wire. That's an
- 30:46Speaker 3: attention getter. You're also in this really unique spot where
- 30:49Speaker 3: A and M won last week, but everyone like Elko
- 30:52Speaker 3: had to chew the media out in the post game
- 30:54Speaker 3: because they were just asking negative questions. So it's not
- 30:57Speaker 3: like there's this lethargic hangover type vibe around them. They
- 31:00Speaker 3: struggled against Auburn, they came off scoreing forty one at
- 31:04Speaker 3: Notre Dame, had a bye week, and couldn't break twenty
- 31:08Speaker 3: against Auburn. So I don't think it's a trap spot
- 31:12Speaker 3: for A and M. I actually think it's a trap line.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Like I think FanDuel is begging someone to take State
- 31:17Speaker 3: plus fourteen and a half. The reason I'm taking State
- 31:20Speaker 3: plus fourteen and a half is I still think in
- 31:22Speaker 3: principle they're underrated as a team. Like you remember last
- 31:26Speaker 3: year or last week, Mississippi State plus the points was
- 31:28Speaker 3: one of my favorite bets of the week because I
- 31:30Speaker 3: think they're undervalued, and I think they're still undervalued. So
- 31:34Speaker 3: this is a game that, like if A and M
- 31:36Speaker 3: wins by seven ten something like that, people will look
- 31:40Speaker 3: at it and say, man, we won, But I would
- 31:42Speaker 3: look at that and say, you beat What the rest
- 31:46Speaker 3: of the year will go on to prove is a
- 31:47Speaker 3: pretty good Mississippi State team, Like a pretty solid team,
- 31:50Speaker 3: not great, not any other adjectives, just pretty good team.
- 31:54Speaker 3: They got Florida coming in there next week. By the
- 31:56Speaker 3: way A and M does so in the preseason, this
- 31:58Speaker 3: did look like a letdown spot sandwich between Auburn and Florida.
- 32:03Speaker 3: I just think State is a good enough team that
- 32:07Speaker 3: they don't need crazy stuff to happen here to hang
- 32:10Speaker 3: in the game. They got an experienced quarterback that can
- 32:13Speaker 3: do good enough things. They got a tailback that can
- 32:16Speaker 3: do good enough things. They got better sec bodies up
- 32:19Speaker 3: front that can hang good enough. The thing that worries
- 32:22Speaker 3: me if I'm taking the points here is I'm a
- 32:25Speaker 3: huge fan of teams that show early in the season
- 32:28Speaker 3: they can win several different types of games, and A
- 32:30Speaker 3: and M is now want to shootout and a slog fest,
- 32:33Speaker 3: so they're comfortable. No matter how this game starts to
- 32:35Speaker 3: take shape, I think they're gonna win. I think A
- 32:37Speaker 3: and M will win. I think State covers, especially with
- 32:40Speaker 3: the hook. I will take the fourteen and a half.
- 32:41Speaker 3: I think it's a little too generous. It's begging you
- 32:47Speaker 3: to take it, and you're taking. They are begging me.
- 32:49Speaker 3: And I'm a friend. I'm a friend of FanDuel. You
- 32:51Speaker 3: guys are in a part. I'm a friend. Yeah, you asked,
- 32:54Speaker 3: you continue to ask the good questions. This is not
- 32:56Speaker 3: a backdoor situation. This is a hard fought game. It's
- 33:00Speaker 3: within that margin the whole time. This is not a
- 33:02Speaker 3: and M gets up big and then it's all of
- 33:04Speaker 3: a sudden forty one to thirty at the end of
- 33:06Speaker 3: the day, causing two late touchdowns. No, although I would
- 33:09Speaker 3: take it, it still counts as a win for me
- 33:11Speaker 3: if it happens that way. But no, I think State's
- 33:13Speaker 3: just gonna fight. I think they're that good. I think
- 33:15Speaker 3: they're that improved year one to year two.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Is there a world where Texas Olampic's an early lead
- 33:20Speaker 2: and then Mississippi State realizes, oh, the only reason why
- 33:23Speaker 2: we're in the game of Tennessee is because Tennessee didn't
- 33:24Speaker 2: play well as longways want to bet Asus because ASU
- 33:27Speaker 2: didn't learn from their mistake against Texas in the playoff
- 33:30Speaker 2: and went zero at the end of the game. And
- 33:31Speaker 2: that starts to creep in and be like, really, we're
- 33:34Speaker 2: not see, We're not like that.
- 33:36Speaker 1: I like that scenario more because this defense is going
- 33:38Speaker 1: to beat the shit out of Missippi State. The offense
- 33:40Speaker 1: A and M's offense, like they had over four hundred
- 33:42Speaker 1: yards of total offense. These didn't get they're not converting
- 33:45Speaker 1: on third down, they're not getting the points when the
- 33:47Speaker 1: opportunities are there to get the points. Like, to me,
- 33:49Speaker 1: this is such a giveback spot for that offense. It's
- 33:51Speaker 1: where I think it's a I think it's a situation.
- 33:54Speaker 1: You're you're laying out.
- 33:55Speaker 2: So we're two games in, yep, disagreement. Record are all
- 34:00Speaker 2: pretty close right now.
- 34:01Speaker 3: This is separation.
- 34:02Speaker 1: This is a separation week, this spooky season. Yeah, and
- 34:04Speaker 1: he's he's and by the way, It'spootober he come with
- 34:08Speaker 1: the dogs. We kind of seem like squares right now.
- 34:10Speaker 1: We got both favorites. That's okay. So you can call
- 34:14Speaker 1: me whatever you want, but you have to call me
- 34:15Speaker 1: a winner. As well.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I love losers. I love losers. You
- 34:20Speaker 3: know what kind of you know what kind of bravery
- 34:23Speaker 3: it takes to look at Billy Napier right now and say, yeah,
- 34:26Speaker 3: that's my guy. You know what it takes to say
- 34:28Speaker 3: Mississippi State. Yeah, I'll ride with him.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I've been two and fourteen murdered last week. But he's
- 34:35Speaker 1: good enough.
- 34:36Speaker 3: They lost.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I think he's gonna make great it's good good.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Oh dude, Michaelov Ultra will They've got this fun idea.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Will you play for an Ultra. It's all about these funding,
- 34:44Speaker 2: little competitions, and there's always an Ultra on the line.
- 34:47Speaker 1: We can throw him right here. Let's see rock papers
- 34:49Speaker 1: shoot for rock rivers, shoot RockA just let's do one
- 34:53Speaker 1: quick on rock paper scissor shoot Ult's mine. That's the
- 34:57Speaker 1: point that everybody's trying to make ultures taste better. When
- 35:00Speaker 1: you have bragging rights, no matter if you're playing hoops,
- 35:02Speaker 1: whatever the game you're playing, whether it's the first Ultra
- 35:03Speaker 1: of the last Ultra, rock paper scissors, any friendly competition,
- 35:06Speaker 1: bragging rights make it better.
- 35:07Speaker 2: So, as you're telling me, is superior is worth playing for?
- 35:10Speaker 1: Superior is worth playing for?
- 35:12Speaker 2: Mikaelobultra Superior light Beer. I geet back to this episode,
- 35:16Speaker 2: this game number eleven, Texas Tech at Houston, both teams undefeated.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Looks like this is a big this is gonna be
- 35:24Speaker 2: a big deal game. To me, this is not oh wow,
- 35:26Speaker 2: this is Texas Tech is going to blow the doors
- 35:28Speaker 2: all the points. By the way, if you're wondering watching
- 35:31Speaker 2: the show, wondering what the points are, text Tech is
- 35:33Speaker 2: favored by eleven and a half, it's not enough total
- 35:35Speaker 2: points of the game fifty and a half. I think
- 35:37Speaker 2: Texas Tech points per game are at fifty two right now.
- 35:40Speaker 2: That's what they're Advaca points for game is fifty two.
- 35:43Speaker 1: They wouldn't.
- 35:43Speaker 2: A couple weeks ago we talked about Texas Tech in Utah, Utah,
- 35:47Speaker 2: and they had to go and this is these are
- 35:48Speaker 2: two of your teams you brought in the big twelve.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Texas Tech's quarterback gets hurt and they end up still
- 35:53Speaker 2: in the fourth court of putting up twenty one points
- 35:55Speaker 2: on Utah with no no, no answered, just absolutely pulled
- 35:57Speaker 2: away in a big way. They spent more money or
- 36:00Speaker 2: at least top five of anybody else in the portal.
- 36:03Speaker 2: And then you look at the record of Houston and
- 36:07Speaker 2: it's like, yeah, they're five and zero. They beat Colorado
- 36:09Speaker 2: thirty six to twenty. Well, Colorado's two and three now
- 36:12Speaker 2: and they beat Oregon State twenty seven to twenty four.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Do you know what Oregon States record is five oh
- 36:18Speaker 2: and five?
- 36:18Speaker 1: And I kind of like them to get their first
- 36:20Speaker 1: one this week. And that's for a different conversation you have.
- 36:24Speaker 2: So to me, this is like we have a better team,
- 36:27Speaker 2: even though the records are the same, one team is
- 36:29Speaker 2: clearly better than the other.
- 36:30Speaker 1: And I think it's Texas Tech. He just said you
- 36:33Speaker 1: was some math.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Yeah, it seems like it seems like the side FanDuel
- 36:36Speaker 3: wants us to be on low double digit favorite here
- 36:39Speaker 3: on the road, Houston undefeated, a lot of disrespect that
- 36:43Speaker 3: many points being given to the home dog unfortunately slash fortunately,
- 36:47Speaker 3: depending on which side of the worldview you live on here,
- 36:50Speaker 3: I think you're right. I think they could run it
- 36:52Speaker 3: up on Houston. I mean, let's remember you were pointing
- 36:55Speaker 3: out one side of the Utah game, like we were
- 36:58Speaker 3: staying on the field looking at the score and saying,
- 37:01Speaker 3: I thought the backup was in. How are they running
- 37:03Speaker 3: it up on Utah? Well, remember part two of the
- 37:05Speaker 3: way they ran it up is because they held Utah
- 37:07Speaker 3: to ten points, so they suffocated Utah. I think they're
- 37:10Speaker 3: going to do the same thing the Houston here. I
- 37:12Speaker 3: actually think the fact that Houston's five and zero is
- 37:15Speaker 3: what's keeping this line under two touchdowns, which is a
- 37:18Speaker 3: blessing for at least two of us, maybe three, we'll
- 37:21Speaker 3: see in just a second. I think that they are
- 37:23Speaker 3: going to continue to plant the flag and sort of
- 37:26Speaker 3: separate themselves in the Big Twelve as that one team
- 37:29Speaker 3: that could not only win the Big Twelve. But maybe
- 37:31Speaker 3: you're kind of scared of if they get in the playoff.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Oh you, that's the.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Second time you brought that up when we talked about
- 37:37Speaker 2: Texastate at Utah. You're like, this team is one team
- 37:39Speaker 2: going to blow the other team out to where we go. Oh,
- 37:41Speaker 2: there's a big team to be afraid.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Of it, And they did and with their backup. But
- 37:43Speaker 3: think about this, so are you afraid to yet? Though
- 37:45Speaker 3: we were doing so. I was doing my show last night.
- 37:47Speaker 3: We pulled up the on three Transfer Portal team rankings
- 37:50Speaker 3: and Texas Tech was number one, and I was going
- 37:52Speaker 3: back and looking at some of the headlines and people
- 37:54Speaker 3: were saying, oh, yeah, they're number one, but that's just
- 37:57Speaker 3: because they went and bought a whole team, Like, don't
- 37:59Speaker 3: take that seriously. And Joey McGuire's the head coach there,
- 38:01Speaker 3: and I was talking to him in August and he
- 38:03Speaker 3: was saying, folks are going to dismiss what we did.
- 38:05Speaker 3: They're gonna call it just mercenary shopping. They're gonna act
- 38:08Speaker 3: like we went to the grocery store and just threw
- 38:09Speaker 3: a bunch of stuff in supermarket sweep style. He said, Now,
- 38:12Speaker 3: you're gonna have to wait to the season to see,
- 38:14Speaker 3: but this is the best group. It's the most cohesive
- 38:16Speaker 3: group I've been around. I know it defies conventional wisdom.
- 38:19Speaker 3: I know that's not how team building is historically supposed
- 38:22Speaker 3: to work. But you'll see, right, So we're seeing now
- 38:26Speaker 3: and then I think if they continue to do what
- 38:28Speaker 3: they're doing, then the talent was never the question. The
- 38:31Speaker 3: question was did you go get a bunch of individuals
- 38:34Speaker 3: or did you really put a team together? Did you
- 38:36Speaker 3: fundamentally build a team out of the portal? And I
- 38:39Speaker 3: think early results September answer is yes they did. Now
- 38:43Speaker 3: we're into October, d I think they're really good, and
- 38:47Speaker 3: I think it could. You could absolutely make the argument
- 38:50Speaker 3: they'll be the most gettable early in the season, like
- 38:53Speaker 3: I would think they only get stronger as a team
- 38:55Speaker 3: later in the season. And if we I mean, I
- 38:57Speaker 3: don't know if I've seen any truly elite teams out
- 38:59Speaker 3: there yet. Maybe some of them become elite teams. But
- 39:02Speaker 3: if we're just in a year where the best is
- 39:04Speaker 3: very good and Texas Tech did what they did, absolutely
- 39:07Speaker 3: they could go win games in the playoff if they
- 39:09Speaker 3: make it. But we need to stop talking about that
- 39:10Speaker 3: because it's only October.
- 39:11Speaker 1: It's only October. What's the movie with the what's the
- 39:14Speaker 1: movie with the mercenaries? You got Sylvester Stalone, Ivan Drago,
- 39:17Speaker 1: Jason Statham.
- 39:18Speaker 3: The eighteen, No, not the eighteen. Are you talking about dispensables?
- 39:24Speaker 1: Expendables. That's what Texas Tech has built, the expendables. A
- 39:27Speaker 1: lot of mercenaries. They're all yelling together. They're accomplishing the mission.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Took us a while to get there, but we got Yeah,
- 39:32Speaker 1: it took us a minute. I'm going with Texas Tech.
- 39:34Speaker 1: I could sit here and elaborate. You guys all hit
- 39:35Speaker 1: a lot of great points. I like Texas Tech in
- 39:37Speaker 1: this game, them just beating going up, going up to
- 39:40Speaker 1: Utah and winning that game. Big dropped a lot in
- 39:42Speaker 1: the fourth quarter, which makes me a little gets me
- 39:44Speaker 1: a little nervous by I like the D line. The
- 39:46Speaker 1: offense puts up a lot of points. I was kind
- 39:48Speaker 1: of flint with the over for a second, but you
- 39:50Speaker 1: just talked to me out of it the way.
- 39:51Speaker 3: You know, you talked about favorite in the under maybe
- 39:54Speaker 3: like like thirty eight to ten type stuff.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, they were just talk about how averaging fifty
- 40:01Speaker 2: points a game.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Maybe they hit the over by themselves. You're thinking Indiana
- 40:04Speaker 3: vibes here.
- 40:05Speaker 1: I was thinking that. But then the way you talked
- 40:07Speaker 1: about the suffocation and everything else and the expendables got
- 40:10Speaker 1: in my brain. I'm like, I like that analogy of
- 40:11Speaker 1: the expendables. Give me Texas Tech mis eleven and a half. Okay,
- 40:14Speaker 1: what about that points.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Count for the record, where's the total special.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Odd lean going over? I love I hate over unders.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Hate it you watch a.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Game outside of outside of that, the comment about like, Okay,
- 40:31Speaker 1: maybe I don't take the under here. It's like I
- 40:34Speaker 1: also think Houston can score points, but Texas Tech mine
- 40:39Speaker 1: eleven and a half.
- 40:40Speaker 3: You know what Memo said about totals betting tell us
- 40:43Speaker 3: she said it ain't under till it's over, and I
- 40:47Speaker 3: never bet an under again.
- 40:49Speaker 1: It ain't under till it's over. That's beautiful.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no, dude's ever coming up with that. That
- 40:55Speaker 3: had to be a mema special.
- 41:00Speaker 1: The game, well, not the game, a game, massive game,
- 41:05Speaker 1: a game that you will be going to. This This
- 41:07Speaker 1: is a fall tour right here, Fall don't Lie Tour
- 41:09Speaker 1: going down to Miami at Florida State. The line on
- 41:12Speaker 1: this game, Miami is favored by four and a half
- 41:15Speaker 1: at Florida State Florida State Dogs. The total in this
- 41:18Speaker 1: game is fifty three and a half. I'm terrified of
- 41:23Speaker 1: this game.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, so I think of Virginia Tech loses to
- 41:27Speaker 2: Florida State. I'm not as terrified anymore Virginia.
- 41:30Speaker 1: I like Miami more. But somebody wounded animal at home.
- 41:35Speaker 3: They clipped an extra day to think about it.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:38Speaker 3: I played that game on Friday last week, dude.
- 41:40Speaker 1: I was on Florida State all week. All week, I
- 41:45Speaker 1: was on Florida State, you know, sitting upstairs last night
- 41:48Speaker 1: trying to put my final notes and thoughts together. I'm
- 41:50Speaker 1: looking at stats and I'm kind of rewatching the I
- 41:53Speaker 1: went back to rewatch the Alabama Florida State game watching
- 41:57Speaker 1: the Virginia Florida State game a little bit. I was
- 42:00Speaker 1: listening to your thoughts on Castelanos throwing downfield, so that
- 42:03Speaker 1: what That's what got me going, and I kind of
- 42:05Speaker 1: like watching tape on it, and I like Miami. Here.
- 42:10Speaker 1: I'm taking Miami because in my head, it's like, all right,
- 42:14Speaker 1: if Miami is going to be this program that's going
- 42:17Speaker 1: to be a national title contender, then they're above everybody.
- 42:21Speaker 1: They're in that tier that's above everybody else. Like this
- 42:23Speaker 1: is only four and a half points. This isn't a
- 42:24Speaker 1: very big line. So that's why I like Miami, and
- 42:27Speaker 1: because it's like, all right, so we see what Alabama's
- 42:30Speaker 1: doing now since they tasted their blood in the for
- 42:33Speaker 1: in Week one against Florida State. So how does Florida
- 42:36Speaker 1: State upset Alabama and the creativity that they have in
- 42:41Speaker 1: the run game. Because you're right, like Casilanos, he doesn't
- 42:43Speaker 1: do very well throwing the ball downfield. They're not going
- 42:45Speaker 1: to be able to win this game through the year.
- 42:47Speaker 1: So all eyes are going to be on stopping the run. Well.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Florida State, Yeah, yeah, Florida State has a very creative offense.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Remind me of the OC's name, Melason. Very creative offense
- 42:59Speaker 1: and the fact that you know there'd be checks when
- 43:01Speaker 1: when I was playing to where if you have a
- 43:03Speaker 1: wide receiver in the backfield, we call it zoo. You
- 43:05Speaker 1: have all these zoo alerts because they'll motion guys in
- 43:07Speaker 1: the backfield. They have kind of a gun wishbone look
- 43:10Speaker 1: at times. They did a couple into rounds against Alabama.
- 43:13Speaker 1: They're gonna have to get really creative to where Alabama
- 43:16Speaker 1: seeing some of this stuff for the first time because
- 43:18Speaker 1: you don't necessarily know how to prepare for how you
- 43:20Speaker 1: might be attacked against Castellanos. Now that there's four games
- 43:24Speaker 1: of tape on on Florida State, that is where I
- 43:28Speaker 1: like my odds with Miami here because they're gonna have
- 43:30Speaker 1: time to prepare and see what they can look to
- 43:32Speaker 1: what wrinkles, what window dressing, what concepts are gonna like see.
- 43:35Speaker 1: This is a big keep your eyes on your work
- 43:37Speaker 1: type of game for Miami because again, even when they
- 43:39Speaker 1: hit you with some big throws, it'll be a guy
- 43:42Speaker 1: or a receiver coming out of the backfield based on
- 43:44Speaker 1: these shifts, and they're hitting them on a wheel route
- 43:45Speaker 1: down the sideline. If this if Castellanos happened to be
- 43:49Speaker 1: an Underwood or a Diego Pavia or a Sores be
- 43:53Speaker 1: from Cincinnati, It's like, if you had that threat of
- 43:56Speaker 1: the arm in the run, then I would lean a
- 43:58Speaker 1: little bit more on Florida State here. But I think
- 44:00Speaker 1: the only way Florida State wins is through their run game.
- 44:02Speaker 1: I think Miami has enough on them to prepare for
- 44:04Speaker 1: this run game. They have a very good defense. They
- 44:06Speaker 1: have a very good defense. They hit the transfer portal hard.
- 44:09Speaker 1: I had question marks on their secondary. They are playing
- 44:12Speaker 1: very well their old line. They can run the ball
- 44:14Speaker 1: really well. With four and a half points, I really
- 44:17Speaker 1: like Miami in this situation, that's your boy taking four
- 44:20Speaker 1: favorites this week. I kind of hate it. I hate
- 44:22Speaker 1: myself for it, but that's just the way I'm seeing it.
- 44:24Speaker 2: The thing that I like about everything you said was like, yeah,
- 44:26Speaker 2: Miami runs the ball well, but also like Carson Beck
- 44:29Speaker 2: does a great job of utilizing the past game as
- 44:32Speaker 2: the run game, like where he can use the checkdowns
- 44:34Speaker 2: to get himself five six yards on first and second down,
- 44:37Speaker 2: putting himself in third and manageables. You've really sold me
- 44:40Speaker 2: in Miami because I kind of walked into this without
- 44:42Speaker 2: a real choice. I mean, I wrote down here in Miami,
- 44:44Speaker 2: but I also was that was it's an ink, but
- 44:47Speaker 2: it could might as well have been in Pennsylan.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Because all week I'm like, I like the yeah, yeah.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Because we always do the whole who you got here,
- 44:52Speaker 2: who you got here?
- 44:53Speaker 1: And it always changes. Yeah. Would you like to sell
- 44:56Speaker 1: me on Florida State?
- 44:57Speaker 3: No, I would like to. I would like to make
- 44:59Speaker 3: the argument for how they would do it. So I
- 45:01Speaker 3: think that it's so imperative. Their ground games got to scale.
- 45:04Speaker 3: It's the number two rushing offense in the country right
- 45:06Speaker 3: now against the top ten rushing defense. And I think
- 45:09Speaker 3: even at number eight, Miami's run Dee's probably low because
- 45:12Speaker 3: they face better competition. So it's got to scale. I've
- 45:15Speaker 3: watched Malzion in the past in the SEC like if
- 45:17Speaker 3: he has a decided disadvantage in the box running the ball,
- 45:21Speaker 3: he's really good at getting it on the perimeter quick.
- 45:24Speaker 3: That's where Miami has I think four of five guys
- 45:28Speaker 3: as new starters. They went to the portal they kept
- 45:30Speaker 3: oj Frederic and then they just overhauled their secondary. You
- 45:34Speaker 3: got to make those guys prove they can tackle. You
- 45:35Speaker 3: got to make those guys prove they can defend the run.
- 45:37Speaker 3: That's the first thing they'll find out. If that doesn't scale,
- 45:40Speaker 3: Florida State's in huge trouble because of what you said.
- 45:42Speaker 3: You can't trust Tomac Astellanos to throw the ball. You
- 45:45Speaker 3: want a paper popper.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Here, I want a paper popper.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Bad Josh Pate when he throws for two hundred and
- 45:50Speaker 3: forty plus yards, which sounds like a good thing, he's
- 45:53Speaker 3: one in five in his career, so it's actually a
- 45:56Speaker 3: bad thing the more he throws the ball. Yeah, right,
- 46:00Speaker 3: not great at all. Miami just asks a simple question.
- 46:04Speaker 3: It's just can you handle it? Like are you man enough?
- 46:06Speaker 3: Can you defend the run? If you can't. It's really academic.
- 46:09Speaker 3: And Beck doesn't even need to do a whole lot,
- 46:12Speaker 3: even if you do ask him to do a lot,
- 46:14Speaker 3: though he can.
- 46:16Speaker 1: So he got the guys on the ouside.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Yes, So you start stacking. Just the pancakes stack up
- 46:21Speaker 3: in front of you. The ways you can win. There's
- 46:23Speaker 3: like one pancake over here on the FSU plate. There
- 46:25Speaker 3: are two or three of them on the Miami plate.
- 46:28Speaker 3: The second pancake, if you want to sell me or
- 46:31Speaker 3: if I want to sell you on having one on
- 46:32Speaker 3: the Florida State plate is Miami hasn't left home. So
- 46:36Speaker 3: there's a lot that you find out about an organization
- 46:38Speaker 3: and a program when you take it on the road.
- 46:40Speaker 3: We do have the whole wounded animal theory home dog
- 46:43Speaker 3: and play here. We've watched it happen all over the
- 46:46Speaker 3: country so far this year. In the past, Miami has
- 46:51Speaker 3: been victimized by end game decision making. That's been a
- 46:55Speaker 3: little suspect and we really haven't seen that have an
- 46:57Speaker 3: opportunity to crop up this year. It kind of did
- 47:00Speaker 3: in the Notre Dame game, but they didn't have to
- 47:01Speaker 3: pay for it, So there's a lot of intangible I
- 47:04Speaker 3: don't know how to quantify that, but that's the way
- 47:06Speaker 3: it would go Florida State's direction. I'd have to see
- 47:09Speaker 3: it to believe it, and consequently I will because I'm
- 47:12Speaker 3: gonna go down there. First game I've been at in
- 47:14Speaker 3: Tallahassee since twenty sixteen, when a guy named Deshaan Watson
- 47:17Speaker 3: came in there and beat him thirty five to thirty one.
- 47:19Speaker 3: By my math, that final would lead Florida State to cover.
- 47:23Speaker 3: But I don't think Florida State's gonna score thirty one
- 47:25Speaker 3: on Miami, So I'm gonna take Miami to win and
- 47:28Speaker 3: cover as well.
- 47:29Speaker 1: In Miami coming off of bye week two, they are
- 47:31Speaker 1: it's like there, you're sitting back and you have you know,
- 47:33Speaker 1: you're probably working on some of these run game fits
- 47:35Speaker 1: and some of these different looks and motions that Florida
- 47:38Speaker 1: State gives you to be creative in the run game.
- 47:40Speaker 1: And then you get to kind of sit back and
- 47:41Speaker 1: look at whatever extra wrinkles to confirm your notes against Virginia.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Then Virginia ends up beating them, and then you're kind
- 47:47Speaker 1: of you're kind of dialing, Okay, they might have showed
- 47:48Speaker 1: these couple other looks, Tori, you just implement them even
- 47:51Speaker 1: more to confirmative practice because this is big, like be
- 47:54Speaker 1: very good in discipline with your eyes if if you're
- 47:56Speaker 1: on Miami's defense. And then I think to myself, it's
- 47:59Speaker 1: like the whole overreaction on Week one. Thing nobody had
- 48:03Speaker 1: Florida State being like the a dominant ACC team coming
- 48:07Speaker 1: off the season that they had last year. I'm not
- 48:08Speaker 1: saying that they're not going to be very good. They
- 48:10Speaker 1: they very much are trending that way even if they
- 48:11Speaker 1: dropped this game here. But it's like, you there's such
- 48:13Speaker 1: an overreaction, Oh, Florida State for real knocking off you
- 48:17Speaker 1: know a lot of people had Alabama's national champions and
- 48:20Speaker 1: they knock them off in a bad weather game and
- 48:23Speaker 1: everything else. Then they go off take care of business
- 48:25Speaker 1: against these little ducks now that they've now that they've
- 48:28Speaker 1: gotten humbled or lost to Virginia, it's like, okay, or
- 48:31Speaker 1: you know, where is who is Florida State? And I
- 48:33Speaker 1: just think that there's there's enough now, there's enough of
- 48:36Speaker 1: a sample size to study kind of in on the
- 48:39Speaker 1: on the run game that they have, because they do
- 48:40Speaker 1: have a very good run game.
- 48:41Speaker 2: You only have so many formations, so many ship pocket
- 48:47Speaker 2: and it's like you've had four games.
- 48:49Speaker 1: To show us like, hey, now we've stopped the run.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Now we got to now we're gonna have to win
- 48:52Speaker 1: through the air and the paper popper that you gave
- 48:54Speaker 1: it's like, you know, we.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Don't want to win to the air because he doesn't
- 48:57Speaker 2: win through the air.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Yeah, for two forty plus and I'd like to see
- 49:02Speaker 1: a team to just not be a clear number one,
- 49:04Speaker 1: but clear just saying that this is a this is
- 49:06Speaker 1: a national championship, because as we get deeper in October,
- 49:09Speaker 1: it's like, we'll realize who's who in the zoo and
- 49:11Speaker 1: you'd like to have someone from each conference the standard
- 49:14Speaker 1: that you're like, I can't.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Wait to wash them against other conferences. Stay in Oregon,
- 49:18Speaker 2: you got Miami Texas Tech. If they do what they're
- 49:23Speaker 2: supposed to do in Houston.
- 49:24Speaker 1: People will always people question Texas Tech, though, until it
- 49:27Speaker 1: gets closer to I loved I loved you saying like
- 49:30Speaker 1: they should be their worst in September because of the
- 49:32Speaker 1: cohesiveness and the fact that they've been amazing in September
- 49:35Speaker 1: proves to me like Texas Tech could be a little
- 49:37Speaker 1: it could be nasty boys. The reason I think we're
- 49:40Speaker 1: on some zews, we just we just keep getting closer about.
- 49:42Speaker 2: Yeah, you can you can feel at most you forget
- 49:45Speaker 2: about the cameras and the people watching, Yeah, maybe in
- 49:49Speaker 2: the corner wondering if he's having a good time.
- 49:53Speaker 1: True classic Game of the Week. Now, I don't't think any.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Of us should speak first about this game after it's
- 49:59Speaker 2: been giving out to the pub. I think you should
- 50:01Speaker 2: have a moment if you'd like to what's going on. Guys,
- 50:04Speaker 2: We're gonna talk to you about real quick but the
- 50:06Speaker 2: True Classic, True Classic gaming we's taking place right now.
- 50:08Speaker 2: You can find tru Classical on Amazon and Costco Sam's
- 50:10Speaker 2: cub Target Nation. Might you can go online at True

- 50:15Speaker 2: good play could But look at these pants, dude.
- 50:16Speaker 1: And also these Chuck teaes. I'm kind of obsessed with
- 50:19Speaker 1: right now, these pants right here for this show them
- 50:23Speaker 1: mobility waste are you kidding me? Bottom thirty six great flexibility.
- 50:30Speaker 2: Thirty six thirty six. It's a squeeze you can get.
- 50:32Speaker 2: You can do any sort of activity you possibly want.
- 50:35Speaker 2: These things, uh, True Classic and also the PEMA shirts
- 50:38Speaker 2: as well. They have a nice little curve to it. Shoulders, arms, chest,
- 50:40Speaker 2: The whole thing is right here, those of them right there.
- 50:44Speaker 1: Look at it.
- 50:46Speaker 3: Looks good like blocking tight end. Bro.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Let's get back to this episode. That's not me but
- 50:52Speaker 1: the Game of the week.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Every center he's got game, but only one fits just right.
- 50:56Speaker 2: This is the true Classic Game of the Week, True
- 50:58Speaker 2: Classic pants on busting with the boys here Vanderbilt number sixteen,
- 51:02Speaker 2: Vanderbilt at number ten, Alabama Clark Lee first Killen de Boor.
- 51:07Speaker 2: Last year, Vandy won forty to thirty five when Bama
- 51:11Speaker 2: was number one. Alabama's favorite ten and a half. Total
- 51:14Speaker 2: points in that game is fifty five and a half.
- 51:18Speaker 4: Garrett, Yeah, it's a big week.
- 51:22Speaker 1: You know.
- 51:22Speaker 4: Last year, the same thing happened. You take down the Bulldogs,
- 51:26Speaker 4: you get a little high, they put you at number one.
- 51:29Speaker 4: You think you're gonna walk into Nashville and do what
- 51:32Speaker 4: you always do to Vandy and it doesn't happen.
- 51:35Speaker 3: That sucks.
- 51:36Speaker 4: This team this year is a lot different than last year.
- 51:39Speaker 4: Ty said it himself. Vandy is also different. They're better.
- 51:43Speaker 4: So you have to stay focused. It's just another game.
- 51:47Speaker 4: Do not worry about what happened last year. Take care
- 51:50Speaker 4: of business. And I have a quote. Oh yeah, never
- 51:55Speaker 4: take your own revenge, but leave room for the wrath
- 51:58Speaker 4: of God. And God is in Crimson this weekend.
- 52:04Speaker 1: He hit his biblically. Yeah that's old testament. Yeah, that's
- 52:07Speaker 1: old testament.
- 52:09Speaker 2: She went hard to you. Hear whispers in the crowd
- 52:12Speaker 2: right now. By the way, this is filmed in front
- 52:13Speaker 2: of a live audience. Oh all right, I like everything
- 52:22Speaker 2: he said. I like everything he said. Oh, the calendar
- 52:27Speaker 2: bor zero to one versus quarterbacks that talk about him
- 52:31Speaker 2: in the off season.
- 52:31Speaker 3: Orend trend for me.
- 52:33Speaker 2: And there's a trend for me and Diego. Pavia is
- 52:36Speaker 2: big of a wrestler, brain as he is, puts fucking
- 52:39Speaker 2: points on the board. That's six touchdowns, kind of for
- 52:41Speaker 2: six of them. Last week when it was kind of
- 52:44Speaker 2: like close against Utah State, Vanderbilts selling out there's traffic
- 52:48Speaker 2: in Nashville on Saturdays now like Vanderbilt is different. I'm
- 52:53Speaker 2: gonna take I'm gonna take Vandy to cover because I
- 52:56Speaker 2: promised Kate I would trust them until I can't. And
- 53:02Speaker 2: a piece of me hopes I get this wrong this
- 53:04Speaker 2: week because Cade sat in my pool in the summertime
- 53:08Speaker 2: and he's like, we win the national champ we win
- 53:10Speaker 2: the SEC in the National Championship, we take me the
- 53:12Speaker 2: old line on Diego to Vegas and play with us,
- 53:17Speaker 2: And I'm thinking about I looked him in the eyes,
- 53:19Speaker 2: I said, you, I've been in champion.
- 53:23Speaker 1: Will you take it to the tunnel?
- 53:25Speaker 2: Yeah, essentially, And I told him I was like, Buddy,
- 53:28Speaker 2: you guys just don't have the team.
- 53:31Speaker 1: You don't have the team.
- 53:32Speaker 2: And I'm not trying to be disrespectful to you, but
- 53:34Speaker 2: I said to his face, like, you guys are not
- 53:35Speaker 2: They're not a national championship caliber team, and.
- 53:38Speaker 1: They look good.
- 53:39Speaker 2: If they win this game, I'm gonna start shitting myself
- 53:43Speaker 2: a little bit. I don't want to pay for that.
- 53:46Speaker 2: But I'll take Vandy to cover. I'll take Vanity to cover.
- 53:49Speaker 2: And there's a if Vandy wins this game, I'm not safe.
- 53:55Speaker 2: I'm not safe. That's all I have to say about that. Yeah,
- 54:02Speaker 2: and listen, anybody who needs to be checked on after
- 54:04Speaker 2: this week, you and you like, just wait till November first,
- 54:07Speaker 2: Please don't fuck up my s October.
- 54:09Speaker 1: I need this all right. It's a big year for me.
- 54:13Speaker 1: November one. It's you guys, do what you want.
- 54:17Speaker 3: I just want to draw the attention back over here
- 54:19Speaker 3: because you and I just had a moment and you
- 54:23Speaker 3: had a look in your eye like you're about to
- 54:24Speaker 3: do something really irresponsible. You had an October first, it's
- 54:28Speaker 3: a new day that I haven't seen in your eyes
- 54:30Speaker 3: since last week when you had a new haircut type
- 54:32Speaker 3: look in your eye and I just want to know
- 54:34Speaker 3: what's going on up here, not in here, don't pick
- 54:37Speaker 3: with that. I want to know what's going on up there.
- 54:42Speaker 1: I think about this game. I think you can throw
- 54:47Speaker 1: who's doing well in this situation, who's doing well in
- 54:50Speaker 1: that situation. Vanderbilt's five and zero. I think this game
- 54:56Speaker 1: this is personal for Alabama. I think last year what happened.
- 55:02Speaker 1: They were in a spot where you come off a
- 55:03Speaker 1: win against Georgia and you drop a game against Vandy.
- 55:07Speaker 1: Vandy celebrates. This wasn't a humble win. This was you
- 55:11Speaker 1: know whatud Pavias say after the game when he's like,
- 55:14Speaker 1: He's like, in the uh, yeah, we're fucking turned And
- 55:17Speaker 1: they've had to sit back and watch this team take
- 55:20Speaker 1: victory lap after victory lap after victory lap over ultimately
- 55:26Speaker 1: one game. But Vandy did slap him in the face.
- 55:29Speaker 1: The feeling for Alabama after the game was embarrassment. Vanderbilt
- 55:33Speaker 1: embarrassed you. They slapped in your face, and not only
- 55:36Speaker 1: slapped you in the face, they also spit on your shoes.
- 55:38Speaker 1: And they've been doing it throughout the offseason. They've had
- 55:41Speaker 1: to sit back and watch any given Saturday and watch
- 55:43Speaker 1: Diego Pavia talk shit and they've they've done nothing but
- 55:46Speaker 1: hear about this. I think last week against Georgia that
- 55:48Speaker 1: was a game where they've clearly bounced back from Florida State.
- 55:53Speaker 1: And that is a massive hats off to that staff,
- 55:56Speaker 1: to that team, because when a moment like that happens,
- 55:59Speaker 1: and it's like the impossible job for a coaching staff,
- 56:03Speaker 1: like why they were never gonna win at a place
- 56:05Speaker 1: like Alabama coming after Nick Saban, everyone is as loud
- 56:08Speaker 1: as possible, talk about messages and tweets of guys DM
- 56:11Speaker 1: and getting door dash to night. Maybe they're getting there
- 56:13Speaker 1: with women, whatever it is. When shit like that happens,
- 56:17Speaker 1: it can do one of two things to a team.
- 56:19Speaker 1: The noise either continues to happen inside the building and
- 56:23Speaker 1: nobody really addresses anything, or you lock the doors and
- 56:26Speaker 1: you get tighter. And this team clearly has gotten tighter.
- 56:29Speaker 1: You watch last week, any negative play or turn of
- 56:32Speaker 1: event that happened, the staff is out there on the
- 56:35Speaker 1: field waving the players to come back. You see coordinators
- 56:38Speaker 1: at times on the double move touchdown coordinator that's on me.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Don't even fucking worry about that because they're locked in
- 56:44Speaker 1: for sixty minutes the boor said it even at halftime.
- 56:46Speaker 1: We didn't come here to play thirty minutes. We came
- 56:47Speaker 1: here to play sixty minutes. Like this team is tight,
- 56:50Speaker 1: and they're motivated, and they're hungry, and they needed they
- 56:54Speaker 1: needed the Georgia game. They needed it. They want this game.
- 56:58Speaker 1: There is no trap game, there's no there's no nothing.
- 57:01Speaker 1: They fucking want this team. They want them at home
- 57:03Speaker 1: and they want to beat their ass. And Ty Simpson
- 57:06Speaker 1: ball high and tight as he's wheeling and d mechanics.
- 57:09Speaker 1: I like Bama here. This game is weirdly personal for Bama,
- 57:12Speaker 1: and I've weirdly made it personal for myself too, Like
- 57:14Speaker 1: I'm rooting for the Crimson Tide to beat their ass
- 57:16Speaker 1: because it's like I see the product that they had
- 57:19Speaker 1: against Georgia and see the way that they've galvanized with
- 57:23Speaker 1: the staff, the players, everybody, and I've loved watching it.
- 57:27Speaker 1: I've loved watching it, and I'm fired up for them
- 57:29Speaker 1: to play Vandy.
- 57:30Speaker 3: Buddy, This is a Model special for me because the
- 57:33Speaker 3: Model loves Vandy. Plus the points is one of its
- 57:35Speaker 3: favorite bets of the week, So I don't argue with
- 57:37Speaker 3: the Model. I learned my lesson a million times over
- 57:40Speaker 3: already doing that. So I'm putting it out there right now.
- 57:42Speaker 3: I'm taking Vandy plus the points, Vandy plus ten and
- 57:44Speaker 3: a half. I just want to share anecdotally what you
- 57:48Speaker 3: just said. Last week. I'm on the field for that
- 57:50Speaker 3: game at Georgia and I watched Bama do what they did.
- 57:53Speaker 3: I'm around them a fair amount, so vibe totally different
- 57:56Speaker 3: from the time they walked in the building. Everyone saw
- 57:58Speaker 3: the game. What I want to make sure people know
- 58:02Speaker 3: is I did exactly what we did with Michigan. You
- 58:05Speaker 3: walk off the field, you had in the locker room,
- 58:07Speaker 3: you're around the players, you're where cameras can't go. They're
- 58:10Speaker 3: talking about Vanderbilt. They're talking about Vanderbilt.
- 58:14Speaker 1: That juices me up because Farman is like, you know,
- 58:16Speaker 1: they didn't celebrate that win for a second.
- 58:17Speaker 3: They fucking want this team coming in that's going into
- 58:20Speaker 3: Georgia winning at Georgia and people are happy. But it's
- 58:23Speaker 3: fifteen to twenty minutes Vanderbilt.
- 58:28Speaker 1: I think Vandy's in a dangerous spot. I think they're
- 58:30Speaker 1: five and oh right now.
- 58:31Speaker 3: They're the model's taking Vandy to cover.
- 58:33Speaker 2: So you're taking what happened, what happened to your relationship
- 58:37Speaker 2: with the model. When Nebraska was playing.
- 58:38Speaker 3: Michigan, I divorced myself after that. I can't do that,
- 58:42Speaker 3: so I'm legally bound to the model. The model's taking Vandy.
- 58:44Speaker 3: The model just thinks Vandy's a good team. So like Bandy,
- 58:47Speaker 3: it could be one of the Vandy is a good
- 58:49Speaker 3: yea baby could be right way here and win by
- 58:52Speaker 3: eight like that, that could happen. It's not an indictment
- 58:55Speaker 3: if they only win but don't cover, which I guess
- 58:58Speaker 3: from the model's perspective, it's hoping weapons. But dude, it
- 59:01Speaker 3: wouldn't surprise me if Bama because what happened last year
- 59:04Speaker 3: is Vandy's lethal on third down. Vandy forty two to
- 59:08Speaker 3: eighteen time of possession edge in this game. Last year,
- 59:11Speaker 3: Bama lost the turnover battle, all right, Well, Bama just
- 59:15Speaker 3: owned time of possession against Georgia. Bama was razor sharp
- 59:18Speaker 3: on third down, like historically sharp. Georgia hasn't given up
- 59:21Speaker 3: that many third down conversions in thirty years, and Bama
- 59:24Speaker 3: just did that. Bama hasn't turned the ball over yet
- 59:26Speaker 3: this year. So a lot of what worked for Vandy
- 59:27Speaker 3: last year, just as a team talent profile Bama has flipped.
- 59:32Speaker 3: We don't question Bama at home, we questioned him on
- 59:34Speaker 3: the road, and even they answered that bell last week.
- 59:37Speaker 3: So there's a lot of indicators that make me want
- 59:40Speaker 3: to go Obama. If it was just me picking heart,
- 59:43Speaker 3: that's my national champion, I got a roll with him.
- 59:45Speaker 3: But I went with the model plus the points. I
- 59:48Speaker 3: have no clue how it's going to go.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Vandy's always playing four minute to start to finish the
- 59:53Speaker 2: clock is that like the play clocks are like two.
- 59:55Speaker 3: We saw Castellanos give that defense fits. We have not
- 59:58Speaker 3: seen them face a quarterback with that kind of unique
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: ability since week one. So this is as much as
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: last week was just a test of that overall team's
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: mentality and can you can you nut up on the road?
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: One false start? I think the whole game like they
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: answered all those questions all right. Now, it's Cane Womack
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: defensive coordinator. He's got to answer the bell. They lost
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: edge contained like five times against Georgia last week, but
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: they didn't have to pay for it in the form
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: of a loss. If that happens again this week, they
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: may have to pay for it in the form of
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: a loss because Vandy truth be told, probably more capable
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: of making you pay for it in terms of points
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: even than Georgia was.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: This is going to be an exciting game. I wait
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: to watch it. I can't wait.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: Don't have to wait to night time either. Two thirty kick.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I think too. It's like Vandy being five and zero.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Clearly the high last year is the win against Bama, but.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: They lost to Georgia State kind of caught them off
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: garbar now, Like yeah, like Vandy's a.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Whole lot better the way they talk and feel too,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Like I love the confidence, but there's a part of
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: me too that's like they've also never really been in
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: this world of being quote unquote the best five and zero.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Are you feeling as locked in as this team who
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: enjoyed the win for fifteen minutes and they're already saying like, hey,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: we got Vandy next year, you've got or are you
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: enjoying a few drinks on the weekend.
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: I don't know what kind of team bandy is.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: When's the last time we just watched Vanderbilt have true
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: game of the week spotlight on them against against one
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: of the big boys. Because this game last year, Like
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: I'm not You don't have to denigrate Vandy or devalue
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: the win to admit Bamazon you're one under a new coach.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: They just beat Georgia. It's total biggest letdown spot of
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: the entire season. I mean, I remember the talk. They
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: were twenty two point favorites. They were talking about who
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: they could rest. I'm not talking about the team. I'm saying,
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: like the fan base was almost talking about, all right,
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: what didn't work against Georgia, what do we need to
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: work on against Vandy? They talked about him like a
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: G five team. They just had no idea what Vandy was.
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: All right, So all that's erase. Now that's the etch
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: a sketch vibe. All that's erased. You have a really
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: good team at home's full attention. So if you pull
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: it off this year, it's no smoking mirrors, it's no fluke.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: It's just you were good enough to hang with them.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: I think Vandy's good enough to hang with So, like
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: all the stuff we're talking about, it doesn't matter once
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: the balls kicked off. I think once the ball's kicked off,
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: Vandy's just good enough to hang with Alabama. But everything
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: you said about Bama's true.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Vandy wins this game. What does that mean for Clark?
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: Clear in your mind, it means there's no ceiling because
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: they already shattered everyone's ceiling of belief about what they're
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: capable of anyway. And then if they go into the
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: second sort of second year of the Diego Pavia era
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: and they go beat Bama on the road, when you
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: didn't sneak up on them, like it's one thing, any
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: I mean, a ten year old boy could sneak up
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: on you and hit you in the back of the
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: head of the baseball bat. You're defenseless, you didn't know
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: it was.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: He ain't getting me.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: But then you turn around, does he get you again?
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: Does he get you a second time?
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: And it's in front of Hey Taylor, and it's in
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: front of everybody to where you can't like swing on
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: the kid and he's just been doing victory lap after
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: victory lap. All least get his dad. Yeah, yeah, because
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: you know this is the spot two. Bama is happy
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: that they're five. They want all the success Bandy's had
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: in the world because it's like there's I'm assuming which
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: you're helping me, you're helping confirm. It's like I'm assuming
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: this mentality of I bet they didn't enjoy that Georgia
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: game for very long because they this is a game
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: they want, like they needed that Georgia game. This is
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: one that they've circled like eight times.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: You could flip it like they wanted Georgia, but they
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: knew they had so much success in the pass with
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: Georgia they need No. This is like a personal you
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: don't get this one versus Vandy. It's like, what's happened?
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: We know what Alabama's kryptonite is now, and that's a
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: moment they say they have.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: A close loss against Vandy. I think it's just I
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: think they're both very good football teams and bandy again,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: there's there's no ceiling, like this team is for real
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: and I'll be there Miszoo comes to Van dy LSU
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: doesn't matter. I'll be wearing that v proudly on my shirt.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: I just want to remind everyone. So, the Georgia game
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: had its baked in meeting for Bama. The Vandy game
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: has its baked in meeting. Do you know what Missouri
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: is doing this weekend? Well, they don't sitting at home
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: resting waiting for Alabama to come to them next week.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Hey, missoo zoos sneaky Now.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: Don't tell them that they know. Yeah, tell Alabama. I'm
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: already worried about that game for them.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Alabama.
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: Yeah to motion, Hey com coming off two really emotional
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: games Tennessee game on deck, big rivalry game for BAMA,
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: and you go to Missouri, Missouri off of by we're
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: ahead of ourselves, but still and you.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Might be given a you know, you know Bama's tuned
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: in right now, like made that. Oh yeah, we do
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: need to be ready to go for next week.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: You guys didn't absolve all your road issues just because
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: you went and beat Georgia. It could creep right back
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: in there. Yeah, we may need to do a full
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: Eli drinkwitz x x x anonymous DM to you for
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: Kaitlyn de War. We may need to go down that
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: road next.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I don't know the coach Drink. He's a friend of
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: for the dads. He sent me a long DM about
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: it for the dads, So I don't know if I
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: can I don't know if I can go that. We see,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I don't have the same relationship with Coach Franklin as
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: I do with Coach Drink, So gotcha. Maybe A part
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: of me would like to take Miszoo next week. We'll
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: see what the lion is. We'll see where we're at.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: Do you want to better ahead of time?
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Do we know what it is?
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: We'll have to hit up FanDuel. They probably have it.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: It's not on there. Yeah, I don't think it's not.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: This game's gotta happen, man, This game, this game with
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: Vandy Alabama's got a.
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: Going back to what Josh is saying, like how Vandy
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: hasn't had this spotlight. When was the last time Game
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: Day went to a Vandy game?
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: I think JP was saying earlier this week. The last
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: time we started five and o was what two thousand
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: and eight? They ended up seven and five eight? What happened?
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Massive real estate crash?
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, election year of vannabel keeps winning.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: Our economy could be fucked something think about.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: Also for the Miszoo Alabama game, I guess the line
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: is out. It's Alabama minus six and a half.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Right now, there's six and a half. Again, six and
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: a half. There's that six and a half.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Six seven and a half.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: That's what this dude's name is. That is mister six
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: and a half.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Give them back. There you dog dog of the week
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: or we oh yeah yeah. I was ready to say, hey,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: great show today because I'm juiced about these games. Dog
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: of the week. I got a bitch made dog of
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: the week.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: I'm taking Iowa State money line against Cincinnati that the
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: line is won and happens.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: But I love Rockebeck, I love Matt Campbell. I think
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Cincinnati is fantastic. But this is this is honestly the
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: line has it like it's this is kind of a pick.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: I'm like, this is an exciting game. Yeah, Cincinnati can
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: really put themselves, like in the conversation for a big
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: toal contender. If you take down Iowa State, who's handled
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: their business thus.
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: Far, down two corners, now Cincinnati, No, Iowa State down
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: two corners for the year.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: Well their quarter, I can't wait throw it.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, so so we can throw the ball, bro Sos,
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: we can throw the rock. Man, I'm telling that the
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: p f F luck stat says Sores be number one
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: in the country throwing just pure luck. Yeah, it's all
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: pure luck.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: That guy who needs to go to Vegas, he's been
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: slinging the rock. Obviously he didn't against Nebraska. But honestly,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: watching I know that's the game I watched. I know
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: don't need to watch an the others. When the games
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: that close with your Huskers, where you think, all right,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: this shouldn't have been as close as it was. It's
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: made me keep an eye on Cincinnati. And that's where
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: it's like, okay, seems to be like a pretty good
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: foot Why Cincinnati played Nebraska. No yeah, I watched that
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: guy Kansas last week.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: No yeah, Muffins, give me out with Staate rock Obec
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: way better quarter.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Listen, I'm just going I'm going fran Brown here got
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: their ass off against Duke. I'm sure he had all
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: those boys sitting in a sauna as a team together
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: for all of sixty minutes. Give me Syracuse plus seventeen
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: and a half. You know at SMU, that's the only
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: scary parties are going to have to travel. But you know,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: and a half point oil money SMO.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: I would like to ask why Maryland is getting six
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: and a half at home against a Washington team traveling
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: cross country.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: I saw that you had that pick in there. I
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: was bummed I didn't get to jump on it, but
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I do like that.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: Pick, like coast to coast. Washington was terrible on the
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: road last year. They really haven't had to go on
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: the road coast to coast this year. Yet there's a
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: noted struggle amongst Big Ten teams in general doing that
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: cross country stuff except for Oregon. I'm gonna take Maryland
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: plus six and a half. They could win the game
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: out right, and I'm not like low on Washington. I
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: just think it's a really weird spot. Maryland's playing halfway
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: decent football too, got a pretty good quarterback. I love
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: getting any points with them in this game.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: The part of me almost took Cal dogs at home
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: against Duke, just because Duke's got to travel across the
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: count You after winning.
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: Third, you know, after beating the Boston College and the
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: hell out of was.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: It buscous or?
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: We got to win twenty eight to twenty four over
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: BC last week?
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: And then I saw Cal put up a zero burger
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: against somebody in San Diego State Before are they going
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: to be able to just DIRECTI fight it all though
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: it's Model love Col last week, Model love Cal, Yeah,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: didn't take it. How does the model feel about Cal
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: this week?
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: Do you know Model's indifferent on Cal this week, so
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: it's in the same spot. It's like I said, just
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: kind of you do you on col Yeah, we got
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: better value on the board. Bet responsibly right with cal
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: which brings us to our parlay weekly parlay.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: Let's say quick break to let you know about booster
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: with the Boys if you have it, if you don't
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: already know, the Boys have a fifty profit boost token
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: every college football Saturday. That's fifty percent boost on any
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: college football Saturday. Bet just opened up the FanDuel Sports
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: Bok gap this Saturday, and look out for the boosting
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: with the Boys.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Pbet.
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: Illinois might as not and a half first Purdue Nebraska
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: minus eleven and a half.
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: It's Purdue, it is, Yeah, but a massive get.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Back win against US, massive, massive storm the field, storm
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: the field, we were there. That's a little sleeper. Is
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: that USC showing their true colors? Or is that the travel?
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: Maybe both? Maybe that's just maybe they're just not ready
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: for big time yet. Yeah, Shane, I think wake Forest
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: is that's a lie. They're not. But they're going to
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: Virginia Tech and they're getting six and a half. We
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: all know what the most dangerous number in embedding in
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: the modern era is in this society. It is six
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: and a half, so I believe in him. Therefore I'm
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: not laying the points. I am taking the points with Wake,
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: who got absolutely jobbed out of a win last week
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: against Georgia Tech. I'm told ACC officials will be on
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: this one again. But you want to talk about get back,
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: it's get back for Wake, It's get back for ACC officiating.
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: I need him to get all the breaks. I love
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: Wait plus six and a half.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: And it's like, what since the firing v. Tech is
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: two and o? Luck right, this is where this is
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: where it starts to balance out. They had their two wins,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Wake Force is in a getback spot, and I think, so, yeah,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: obviously I'm taking the Huskers.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: So can we talk about your pick for a second.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: Bet the bus slips and picks this show last year,
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: anytime Huster's got into a bad spot, I tend to
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: see Huskers more on will conference card. So by you
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: picking Nebraska minus eleven and a half, it makes me
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: more nervous about this game than if you didn't pick them. Yeah,
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: what I'm hearing is you're talking about the past. This
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: is a different b about history. It tends to repeat itself.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: I get worried with my boy when he's he sees
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Michigan State built.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Right quarterback, not right, my fault. This should be Nebraska
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: minus sixteen and a half.
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: Oh, let's move the line's.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Bakers are all my points. These are all my points.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: Go ahead, come on in play Matthew's friend of.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: The show studio audience.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm with you on that, though. We'll be betting
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: Nebraska minus eleven and a half. I just get nervous
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: when I see you bringing on the show, because anytime
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: you bring a Braska on the show.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: I know. But like I'm sitting here looking at all
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: these other games because we've we've talked about all the
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: really good ones, and then you're looking at dogs and
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: everything else, and there just wasn't like Nebraska to me.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: It's like, okay, I know this game. I feel very
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: comfortable picking this game. Like there wasn't any that were
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: like jumping out of me that I needed to get on.
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: You can't live in the review. You got to live
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: in the windshield.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and what again? You watch the president issue. That's
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: the problem. That's what I'm talking about. The review. I
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: look back and I see that's the same thing in
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: my windshield.
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: Carnage.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a different belief right now. You're bald because
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: your beliefs. I don't care.
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: I don't care if the studio audience didn't love. It's
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: one of the better lines of the year. You have
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: no hair because I'm bald for my beliefs. You were
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: bald because of your beliefs.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: And that's what makes me nervous.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: As goose, we're friends.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: I will be betting Nebraska minus sixteen and a half
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: now I'm willing to lose money for you.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: Great job, great.
