- 0:08Speaker 1: Scalable advice, Spice, welcome to that naughty but niceall love
- 0:17Speaker 1: your house, drop Shooter. And it's Thursday. Normally we have
- 0:20Speaker 1: Loopy Mark Liver joined us. But today we've got a
- 0:24Speaker 1: special surprise. We've got delayed Dixon Avis, d are you there?
- 0:30Speaker 1: I am oh, I missed you on Tuesday? Was the
- 0:33Speaker 1: same book filled in for you on Tuesday? Was awfully
- 0:37Speaker 1: to do it? Gosh, my whole week has been mixed
- 0:40Speaker 1: up in maybe a good way. I feel like it's
- 0:42Speaker 1: a Tuesday. Yes it does. Yes, I was down in
- 0:46Speaker 1: Florida visiting with my lovely friend Samantha PURSUITO Dropper. She's fabulous. Yes, yes,
- 0:52Speaker 1: and and the trip got extended. But you're having that
- 0:56Speaker 1: much fun and you don't have to rush back. Why not?
- 0:59Speaker 1: We talked about you on the show on Tuesday. I
- 1:02Speaker 1: might have implied that you were chasing boys around Miami. Accurate,
- 1:05Speaker 1: sort of accurate. I cannot neither confirm nor deny. Okay,
- 1:14Speaker 1: let's jump into the show. What time is it, my friends?
- 1:17Speaker 1: It is today? So Britney Spears is slamming the Catholic Church.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Brittany is slamming the Catholic Church for not letting her
- 1:27Speaker 1: Mary Samasgari at the House of Prayer because she is
- 1:31Speaker 1: not a practicing member. So Brittany took to her Instagram.
- 1:35Speaker 1: She posted a beautiful photograph inside a church and she said,
- 1:38Speaker 1: this is where I originally wanted to get married during COVID.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I wanted to go every Sunday. It's beautiful, and they
- 1:45Speaker 1: said it was temporarily shut down due to COVID. Then
- 1:49Speaker 1: two years later I wanted to get married there and
- 1:51Speaker 1: they said I had to be a Catholic and go
- 1:54Speaker 1: through a test. Now, Brittany was raised a Southern Baptist
- 1:58Speaker 1: and for a while she did study Balla. Remember that
- 2:01Speaker 1: she told her forty one eight million fathers, that's a lot.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Is a church supposed to be open to all. Now
- 2:10Speaker 1: the responses were overwhelming. She was flooded with comments. Some
- 2:15Speaker 1: were making light of the situation, some were agreeing with Brittany,
- 2:18Speaker 1: but a lot of the comments defended the House of Worship,
- 2:21Speaker 1: explaining to Brittany that most Catholic churches require at least
- 2:24Speaker 1: one of you to practice in the religion before you
- 2:27Speaker 1: get married there. One person even wrote, girl, this is
- 2:30Speaker 1: a mess to get married in a Catholic church. Yes,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you have to be Catholic. It's not just some random venues.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I think Brittany thought she was just booking a venue,
- 2:41Speaker 1: a place to get married. It was like she was
- 2:44Speaker 1: booking Radio City or Maddison. Brittany, it's a church. You're
- 2:47Speaker 1: not a Catholic. What do you think about all this
- 2:50Speaker 1: MYSTERI yeah, Brittany needed to do what I did, which
- 2:53Speaker 1: is google the rules of getting married in a Catholic church,
- 2:57Speaker 1: and it does say that one has to be a
- 2:59Speaker 1: practicing and actually have a friend. She's Catholic. She wanted
- 3:03Speaker 1: me to be her her child's godmother. But again, I
- 3:06Speaker 1: believe you have to be Catholic. That's one of the
- 3:08Speaker 1: reasons that I wasn't. So I'm an, you know, an
- 3:11Speaker 1: unofficial godmother. So I think in this case, Brittany, Brittany
- 3:15Speaker 1: might be wrong here because you know, religions have rules. Judaism.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I'm sure that the Protestants have rules. Maybe our arn
- 3:22Speaker 1: as tough, but but there are rules and you have
- 3:25Speaker 1: to follow them. And so in this case, I think
- 3:28Speaker 1: Brittany was wrong. She could have gotten probably Medicine Square Garden. Now,
- 3:31Speaker 1: if she couldn't have gotten married there, I's been worth
- 3:34Speaker 1: a complaint book in your venue or a hotel. Brittany.
- 3:37Speaker 1: My brother's first marriage was to a Catholic lady. She
- 3:41Speaker 1: was lovely and it was quite controversial because Douglas is
- 3:45Speaker 1: not a Catholic. Were Church of England were Protestants, but
- 3:48Speaker 1: they finally found a church that would do it ideally,
- 3:51Speaker 1: they like to Catholics. In fact, I think the Pope
- 3:54Speaker 1: will only marry if people if they both are Catholics.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Would I like to see religious rule change? Would I
- 4:01Speaker 1: like to them to include more people? Would I like
- 4:04Speaker 1: women to become priests? Yes, I'm very progressive about stuff
- 4:08Speaker 1: like that, but I also respect it's a club. It
- 4:12Speaker 1: has rules, and if you don't want to play by
- 4:14Speaker 1: those rules, find your God somewhere else. I'm a big
- 4:18Speaker 1: believer that you don't need a church or a priest
- 4:21Speaker 1: to find God. I'm pretty spiritual mystery, but I don't
- 4:25Speaker 1: necessarily do it in an organized way within the framework
- 4:29Speaker 1: of a church. Growing up, I found church to be
- 4:31Speaker 1: quite cruel and they were very judgmental. When I was
- 4:34Speaker 1: growing up in Birmingham, England, we went every Sunday. My
- 4:37Speaker 1: mother's very religious and they were not very kind about
- 4:40Speaker 1: gay people. They also too, we're pretty pretty strict about
- 4:44Speaker 1: what women could do, and so I I found that
- 4:47Speaker 1: I stepped away from organized religion. But I still consider
- 4:51Speaker 1: myself quite a religious person. What about you, Mysteria. I'm
- 4:54Speaker 1: definitely a spiritualist. I grew up Methodists, which I've always
- 4:57Speaker 1: felt was was a religion that's that is you to handle.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I always felt that it's very welcoming, at least my experience.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It might be different from the other people, but for me,
- 5:06Speaker 1: I just believe that there is a spirit out there
- 5:10Speaker 1: and it's something that I believe in. And but I
- 5:13Speaker 1: don't believe in any set religion at this stage in
- 5:15Speaker 1: my life. So but I do believe there is a
- 5:18Speaker 1: God and I do believe that that as many people
- 5:22Speaker 1: do or maybe they don't. But I believe that the
- 5:24Speaker 1: basic rule is to be kind to goodness, so that's
- 5:28Speaker 1: where I start. But I do believe in a higher
- 5:30Speaker 1: power kindness. That's a good religion for us all to
- 5:32Speaker 1: have amen, which brings us to a pole question of
- 5:35Speaker 1: the day. Britty Spears is slamming the Catholic Church but
- 5:38Speaker 1: not letting her get married inside is she right? Is
- 5:42Speaker 1: Brittany right? On our Twitter page, at Naughty Nights. Rob.
- 5:45Speaker 1: A facebook page is Naughty godsip and be sure to
- 5:49Speaker 1: check back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey MD, what
- 5:52Speaker 1: are you working on? Well? Wendy Williams isn't married to
- 5:56Speaker 1: an NYPD police officer name Henry, despite claims now. The
- 6:01Speaker 1: former daytime talk show host. She claimed to Hollywood Unlocked
- 6:06Speaker 1: founder Jason Lee that she had secretly married a police
- 6:10Speaker 1: officer right here in New York and his name was Henry.
- 6:13Speaker 1: But her rep says she spoke a little soon. Her
- 6:16Speaker 1: William Selby, said it's inaccurate. Now there are talks that
- 6:21Speaker 1: she is in the early stages of a relationship with
- 6:25Speaker 1: someone who may or may not be named Henry. And basically,
- 6:30Speaker 1: right now, Wendy is working on so many new things
- 6:34Speaker 1: in her life. She's trying to get her podcast started.
- 6:37Speaker 1: But back to what she said to Hollywood and Locked,
- 6:39Speaker 1: she was basically, I'm married and the guy was like,
- 6:43Speaker 1: oh what, and she's like, I got married And he
- 6:47Speaker 1: said you got married when? And she said, I got
- 6:50Speaker 1: married like last week? So what's going on here? Rob?
- 6:54Speaker 1: You got all the Wendy Williams teach Jason is is
- 6:58Speaker 1: an unusual character. He's the one that claimed Queen Elizabeth
- 7:02Speaker 1: was dead, remember that big rumor months ago. So you know,
- 7:06Speaker 1: take it for what it's worth. But I gotta say this,
- 7:09Speaker 1: he does know Wendy. Now, after he reported that Wendy
- 7:13Speaker 1: was married, he got a big scoop. He was so excited.
- 7:15Speaker 1: He likes publicity. Who doesn't. I'm not saying that's a
- 7:18Speaker 1: bad thing. He put out you know the word, and
- 7:21Speaker 1: he was on all these websites getting lots and lots
- 7:22Speaker 1: of hits. Then when his manager publicists said it's not true,
- 7:26Speaker 1: then Wendy called called him. So she called up Jason
- 7:31Speaker 1: and she said, I am married. Ignore my manager, ignore
- 7:35Speaker 1: my spokesperson. Jason recorded the conversation and has released it.
- 7:39Speaker 1: So today there is another audio out there. And when
- 7:42Speaker 1: he's got the attitude on it, I don't know if
- 7:44Speaker 1: she knows she's been taped. She's like hello, and Jason's like, Wendy,
- 7:48Speaker 1: what what's your pr people doing? You said you were
- 7:51Speaker 1: married and now they're saying you're not. And when it's like,
- 7:54Speaker 1: I'm married. So Whendy's double down on this now. Because
- 7:57Speaker 1: we're reporters, we checked the facts. I had a ton
- 8:00Speaker 1: of our team go down to the courthouse. There are
- 8:04Speaker 1: nobody saw her there. Nobody has seen any paperwork. Could
- 8:08Speaker 1: have she gone in through the side door like Justin
- 8:10Speaker 1: Bieber did with Hailey? Yet do you know how we
- 8:13Speaker 1: found out they were married to? In New York it's
- 8:15Speaker 1: very difficult to get the paper. In Vegas, you can
- 8:18Speaker 1: get the marriage certificate quite easily. In New York it's
- 8:21Speaker 1: really hard. So I had a reporter go down to
- 8:23Speaker 1: the courthouse. They couldn't find out if Justin Bieber was
- 8:27Speaker 1: married to Haley. We knew there was a rumor, so nobody,
- 8:30Speaker 1: no clerk would talk to us. My reporter is so fabulous.
- 8:34Speaker 1: She spoke to the owner of the gift shop who
- 8:36Speaker 1: saw Justin and Hailey in the building. I know, isn't
- 8:40Speaker 1: that fabulous? So it was actually the owner of the
- 8:44Speaker 1: gift shop. They sell like flowers or like cheap teddy
- 8:47Speaker 1: bears and stuff if you want to walk down the
- 8:49Speaker 1: aisle with a flower or something. So the owner of
- 8:51Speaker 1: the gift shop, that is the person that confirmed Justin
- 8:55Speaker 1: bi bears. When I try to get the same owner,
- 8:57Speaker 1: the same person to confirm wending, nobody's saw it. Now though,
- 9:01Speaker 1: if she married a New York police person. They probably
- 9:05Speaker 1: have contacts at the courthouse, so maybe they can get
- 9:08Speaker 1: her in an app. I don't know the truth here.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Like normally, if somebody says on the record it's a fact,
- 9:13Speaker 1: it's when you've got a source or an insider. That's
- 9:16Speaker 1: when I'm a little bit more suspicious. But Mr, you know,
- 9:18Speaker 1: if you interview somebody and they tell you something and
- 9:20Speaker 1: it's about themselves and he's on the record, it's a fact.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I don't know who, Okay, But we got to take
- 9:26Speaker 1: a moment here because if you remember, there was a
- 9:28Speaker 1: certain interview last year where a certain lady said she
- 9:33Speaker 1: had gotten married. We're talking about Megan Marco, so you're
- 9:37Speaker 1: saying the word I got married. Sometimes, going back to spirituality,
- 9:42Speaker 1: it's not about we signed a paper. It's official, just
- 9:45Speaker 1: in our hearts that we feel we're together. So maybe
- 9:48Speaker 1: that's how Wendy was saying it. And maybe maybe this
- 9:52Speaker 1: police officer doesn't even know that. I've said that about
- 9:56Speaker 1: a few people and they don't know that market play
- 10:00Speaker 1: and she got married before the royal wedding. Big she
- 10:03Speaker 1: told Oprah, she told the whole world they were already married.
- 10:06Speaker 1: And then the big priest in Britain had to say
- 10:09Speaker 1: I didn't marry her. She could only get married once.
- 10:11Speaker 1: It's not legal. You'll right it. I think you're right it.
- 10:14Speaker 1: We both know Wendy well and we wish her the best.
- 10:15Speaker 1: We really really do. I think in Wendy's mind she
- 10:18Speaker 1: got married, but it's not legal. But honestly, this story
- 10:22Speaker 1: goes back and forth. Hey, moving along. So Monica Lewinsky
- 10:25Speaker 1: has asked Beyonce to change a lyric in a nine
- 10:28Speaker 1: year old song. So the news broke that Beyonce was
- 10:32Speaker 1: changing one of the lyrics in her song Heated because
- 10:35Speaker 1: of some backlash. It was a it was a tough
- 10:38Speaker 1: word to say. I'm not sure what Beyonce realized quite
- 10:41Speaker 1: what she was saying, but people said, that's not a
- 10:44Speaker 1: nice word. And Beyonce listen to it and it's changed
- 10:46Speaker 1: the word. Liza did the same thing too with a
- 10:49Speaker 1: word in one of her recent songs. Now, Monica Lewinski
- 10:52Speaker 1: has taken the opportunity to ask the singer to look
- 10:55Speaker 1: at some of her old songs. If you don't remember
- 10:59Speaker 1: Part Titian, which was released in t beyonce his self
- 11:04Speaker 1: titled album So Right at the beginning of her career.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It included the following lie quote here Monica lewis all
- 11:13Speaker 1: my gown, So we know what that means. Let's move
- 11:16Speaker 1: along quickly. It's a tough lyric, isn't it. So Monica
- 11:18Speaker 1: is saying, like, you know what, Beyonce, looking back, maybe
- 11:21Speaker 1: you should change that now. Now some fans are outraged
- 11:25Speaker 1: by this, saying, Monica, it was nine years ago, and
- 11:28Speaker 1: at the time you did point out that you were
- 11:31Speaker 1: in a rap song. So Monica sort of bragged about
- 11:33Speaker 1: it in her Twitter bio. To this day, Monica has
- 11:36Speaker 1: all her accomplishments, including quote rap song musa, so she
- 11:42Speaker 1: seems to be proud of it. On one hand, it's
- 11:44Speaker 1: in her bio, but then on the other hand she
- 11:46Speaker 1: wants it removed or did she just say it to
- 11:49Speaker 1: sort of join the conversation. You know, it's funny when
- 11:53Speaker 1: people say things about us or something happened. Sometimes we
- 11:56Speaker 1: claim it because it happened, and we laugh about it outwardly,
- 12:01Speaker 1: but inwardly we still feel kind of like about it.
- 12:04Speaker 1: And so maybe you know, Monica has been claiming this
- 12:08Speaker 1: for a long time. But if there's an opportunity not
- 12:10Speaker 1: to have it for posterity, why not I haven't removed.
- 12:13Speaker 1: That might be where her mind sets out. I hate
- 12:18Speaker 1: that something I said hurt somebody. Now, we gotsap a
- 12:22Speaker 1: lot on this show. We do every day, five days
- 12:24Speaker 1: a week, for twenty minutes a day, so you know
- 12:26Speaker 1: eventually we're gonna hurt some feelings. I don't want to
- 12:29Speaker 1: do that, but you know, just the amount of broadcasting,
- 12:32Speaker 1: the amount of podcasting we do, I'm sure at one
- 12:35Speaker 1: point we're going to say something that somebody doesn't like.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I would love to think I would edit it. I
- 12:39Speaker 1: don't want to hurt people. At this point. She's Beyonce.
- 12:43Speaker 1: He's one line in a song that's nine years old
- 12:45Speaker 1: going to change her career no now, And it's a
- 12:49Speaker 1: great opportunity for her to come up with something about
- 12:52Speaker 1: herself maybe or something she can create something of her own.
- 12:55Speaker 1: It doesn't have to be Beyonce though. I have to say,
- 12:58Speaker 1: while I was on My My Vicky in Florida, somebody
- 13:01Speaker 1: was doing a d I Y project and they said,
- 13:03Speaker 1: I got a Delina it. So it's very flattered. See
- 13:07Speaker 1: I love it. One of my first celebrities that I
- 13:10Speaker 1: ever represented, long before j Lo or Diddy or Jessica
- 13:13Speaker 1: Simpson was Monica Lewinsky. She was one of the very
- 13:16Speaker 1: first clients I know. It was during the Clinton years
- 13:20Speaker 1: and she was based in New York, and she had
- 13:21Speaker 1: this high, fabulous, powerful PR guy in l a And
- 13:26Speaker 1: I worked for him in New York as the receptionist
- 13:29Speaker 1: in New York. So I was Monica's age. So he
- 13:31Speaker 1: said to me, you know, will you hang out with Monica?
- 13:34Speaker 1: She's really lonely, she doesn't know anybody. And so I say,
- 13:37Speaker 1: I was her publicist, but really I was like a confidante.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I'd hang out with her, would go to the cinema,
- 13:42Speaker 1: would walk around the village. And at the time is
- 13:44Speaker 1: I've never seen celebrity like that. She was like a beatle.
- 13:47Speaker 1: She was so famous. People were going nuts every time
- 13:50Speaker 1: you walked into a restaurant or a store, and they
- 13:53Speaker 1: didn't like her at the time. I think as years
- 13:55Speaker 1: have gone by, now we have more empathy towards Monica Lewinsky.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Back then we were furious with hers if she broke
- 14:02Speaker 1: up the marriage or she was the one that was responsible,
- 14:05Speaker 1: not Bill Clinton. It was a fascinating time. Monica. If
- 14:08Speaker 1: you're listening, Hello, Hello, Hello, give me a call. Let's
- 14:11Speaker 1: go and get a drinking poop. Let me see what
- 14:13Speaker 1: else you're working on. Well, Star Wars, that very famous
- 14:17Speaker 1: movie had a star named John Bajanga, and he was
- 14:20Speaker 1: exhausted by his fame. So basically, you know, he's been
- 14:24Speaker 1: working non star up since he did the movie. But
- 14:27Speaker 1: he said, however, the pressure to keep up that upward
- 14:30Speaker 1: momentum turned toxic, and he said, quote, I had to
- 14:34Speaker 1: say yes to everything. It was the pressure that he
- 14:37Speaker 1: placed upon himself. Now, his work schedule left him feeling exhausted, frantic,
- 14:43Speaker 1: and paranoid. You're tired by your own dream, this is
- 14:48Speaker 1: what he said. Now being able to talk about stress,
- 14:51Speaker 1: he says, it's vital being able to surround yourself with
- 14:54Speaker 1: trusted family and friends and people who will listen without judgment. Now, Rob,
- 14:59Speaker 1: I think you and relate to this because you say
- 15:02Speaker 1: yes just about everything I do. I'm really aggressive about
- 15:06Speaker 1: my career, although I do have an amazing private life too,
- 15:09Speaker 1: and I keep that separate. I do not let people
- 15:12Speaker 1: into my private life. You're welcome in my work life,
- 15:15Speaker 1: but I have two or most separate lives, and it's
- 15:17Speaker 1: been really good not only for my relationship but for
- 15:21Speaker 1: me for my head, and so I do understand this.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I also too, don't like celebrities that moan and grown
- 15:29Speaker 1: about being multimillionaires and been really famous. And he actually
- 15:32Speaker 1: confronts that he talks about that. He said, nobody wants
- 15:35Speaker 1: to listen to me moaning I've got all this money,
- 15:37Speaker 1: I'm famous. People would dream for this life. But there
- 15:40Speaker 1: is a dark side. There's an underbelly to fame. It's
- 15:44Speaker 1: it's complicated, because I get it. I do get it.
- 15:47Speaker 1: They look like brats, don't they when they moon about
- 15:49Speaker 1: how fame was I am? But there is something about it.
- 15:52Speaker 1: We know enough famous people misda that I understand why
- 15:55Speaker 1: so many of them use drugs or drink. They just
- 15:58Speaker 1: want to numb themselves. They're exposed to so many different
- 16:02Speaker 1: different things out there that they want to numb themselves,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and often they turn to drugs or drink to to
- 16:08Speaker 1: do that. Famous vicious, famous, really really vicious. It's not
- 16:12Speaker 1: for the lighthearted. I gotta admit, mistery. I'm happy to
- 16:16Speaker 1: not be very famous. I would hate to be. Really,
- 16:19Speaker 1: I wouldn't want to be. I wouldn't want to be.
- 16:21Speaker 1: We're you're sixty percent famous, that's enough for you. I
- 16:24Speaker 1: get a good table at bottin those and maybe a
- 16:27Speaker 1: free dessert at Fresco by Scott. That's the fame you
- 16:30Speaker 1: want in life. You want a free dessert maybe, and
- 16:33Speaker 1: when you make a dinner reservation you can probably get it.
- 16:35Speaker 1: That's as famous as you want to be. I would
- 16:37Speaker 1: hate to be as famous as John. What about you, mistery? Yeah,
- 16:40Speaker 1: I don't think i'd want to be famous. Where I
- 16:42Speaker 1: walk down the street, people notice me. Um. I don't
- 16:44Speaker 1: mind my name being famous though, so if people knew
- 16:47Speaker 1: my name but not necessarily my face, I'd be a
- 16:49Speaker 1: comfortable with that. I do want to make a point here. Um, Obviously,
- 16:53Speaker 1: John is a black man, and he said I had
- 16:56Speaker 1: to say yes to everything, And I think there's there's
- 16:59Speaker 1: an interesting connotation here because I feel that sometimes when
- 17:04Speaker 1: you're African American, or he's he's British, if he didn't
- 17:07Speaker 1: say yes, then he would lose the momentum of getting cast,
- 17:11Speaker 1: and it can be challenging for a black man to
- 17:13Speaker 1: get cast in movies. And so that's kind of how
- 17:16Speaker 1: I read into this. So he had to say yes
- 17:18Speaker 1: to everything, not just to keep the momentum, but to
- 17:21Speaker 1: make sure that he kept getting roles as a black
- 17:24Speaker 1: man in the industry. So just a little something to
- 17:27Speaker 1: think about. Hey, we're going to take a quick break
- 17:30Speaker 1: and we will be right back. Welcome back to the
- 17:33Speaker 1: Naughty but Night Show. I'm from Shooter with a little
