- 0:57Speaker 1: A podcast twenty stuck.
- 1:02Speaker 3: And they yet fun.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Why didn't you expect it's a podcast? Whistle blow that whistle?
- 1:15Speaker 1: So the Cowboys are playing Eagles Week one. They did
- 1:18Speaker 1: release all the schedules. Did you look at the Cowboys?
- 1:21Speaker 1: I can give you a su yet, it's been out
- 1:23Speaker 1: for days.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I just haven't looked at it. I was really caught
- 1:26Speaker 3: up on the ol Eagles first game. That's gonna be awesome,
- 1:29Speaker 3: and then I saw who we're playing. I'm not looked
- 1:30Speaker 3: at the schedule yet.
- 1:31Speaker 1: The Cowboys will visit the Eagles to kick off the
- 1:33Speaker 1: season on Thursday night. On Friday night, the Kansaity Chiefs
- 1:35Speaker 1: will take on the Chargers in Brazil. Sounds miserable because
- 1:39Speaker 1: those fields are always built for soccer, not built for football.
- 1:42Speaker 1: So the fields end up the turf just demolished and
- 1:45Speaker 1: like players randomly getting hurt. Correct because they're not going
- 1:48Speaker 1: to build the field perfectly to specs for a game,
- 1:53Speaker 1: and for the most part they think a soccer field
- 1:55Speaker 1: of work. These guys are running, they're pivoting, they're the
- 2:00Speaker 1: cleats are going. The fields are never good like Mexico.
- 2:02Speaker 1: They're never good. Europe, They're never good.
- 2:04Speaker 3: You ever seen soccer players slide after they score a goal,
- 2:07Speaker 3: like that's different kind of grass, Like football players aren't
- 2:10Speaker 3: supposed to slide like that.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Week four in Dublin the Vikings and Steelers. Week five
- 2:16Speaker 1: in London the Vikings and Browns. Poor Vikings, They're just
- 2:20Speaker 1: no man.
- 2:21Speaker 3: There's gonna be European for every week.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Staying in Europe. That sucks because the hotel rooms are smaller.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Everything is smaller, always that right, Oh yeah, it sucks.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Really.
- 2:30Speaker 1: London will be the site for the Broncos and Jets
- 2:33Speaker 1: in week six. The good thing is we get to
- 2:35Speaker 1: wake up and there's a game on early. That's kind
- 2:37Speaker 1: of fun, although after about three weeks of it you
- 2:39Speaker 1: get tired. It's fun for a couple of weeks. I
- 2:42Speaker 1: don't like it. Every week.
- 2:43Speaker 3: What happens to me is I forget that and then
- 2:45Speaker 3: I wake up like at eight, like, oh, oh my gosh,
- 2:47Speaker 3: I haven't missed part of the game.
- 2:49Speaker 1: The third game in London will see the Rams and
- 2:51Speaker 1: the Jags. Week ten's in Berlin, Germany, Falcons and Colts.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Eleven's in Madrid, Spain. Wow, that's the first Commanders and
- 2:59Speaker 1: Dolphins Week thirteen. The Cowboys Thanksgiving game November twenty seventh
- 3:04Speaker 1: will be against the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 3:06Speaker 3: See this hurt me a little bit because I feel
- 3:09Speaker 3: like they're slowly inching the Chiefs into Thanksgiving. And I
- 3:13Speaker 3: don't know if they would change tradition like that, but
- 3:16Speaker 3: the Cowboys have always been the Thanksgiving team, right, especially
- 3:19Speaker 3: the later game. The Lions always played the noon game.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Cowboys play the later game. I feel like this is
- 3:24Speaker 3: slowly inching the Chiefs into Thanksgiving.
- 3:28Speaker 1: The Chiefs are also playing on Christmas Day.
- 3:30Speaker 3: See this is what I'm talking about. I don't like this.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I think the Chiefs are just Patrick Mahomes, Nanny Reid
- 3:35Speaker 1: and so they I don't think there's any conspiracy to
- 3:38Speaker 1: move them into Thanksgiving. I think it's just get them
- 3:40Speaker 1: on the biggest games possible because they have the biggest
- 3:43Speaker 1: name possible in football.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Okay, so yeah, like first year we don't make the playoffs.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Cowboys are are they really?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Because they sucked forever and never got moved. The Lions
- 3:53Speaker 1: have mostly always sucked and never got moved.
- 3:56Speaker 3: That's true.
- 3:57Speaker 1: So I think the Cowboys and Lions remain, But you know,
- 4:00Speaker 1: you want to get the teams on that people know
- 4:03Speaker 1: the most, and by the people that don't watch the
- 4:05Speaker 1: most football would be people that have to watch football
- 4:07Speaker 1: on Christmas Thanksgiving. So give them the people they've heard of.
- 4:10Speaker 3: That would be a great Thanksgiving game.
- 4:13Speaker 1: The Cowboys week one, Eagles Week two, Giants.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Yeah, win both. That's two and O. Man, not bad,
- 4:20Speaker 3: not a bad start.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Got no way the Bears week three.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I mean the Bear is supposed to be good.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Packers week four? Did you ask or tell? I was
- 4:27Speaker 1: asking a new coach, Ben Johnson's said a lot of
- 4:31Speaker 1: coach hype going on over there, just because I got
- 4:34Speaker 1: the yeah, I mean nude coach's it. I mean he
- 4:38Speaker 1: was great in Detroit. They fired eber Flus. Cowboys and Packers,
- 4:43Speaker 1: Cowboys and Jets, Cowboys and Panthers.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I love that stretch.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Cowboys and Commanders, then the Broncos and the Cardinals, then
- 4:49Speaker 1: the Raiders, then the Eagles again, Cheaps, Lions, Vikings, Chargers, Commanders, Giants.
- 4:54Speaker 3: I mean, this is good. It's down the middle schedule,
- 4:56Speaker 3: it's down the middle. It sounds like we'll make the playoffs.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Oh, don't do that. What do you mean, it doesn't
- 5:02Speaker 1: sound like that.
- 5:03Speaker 3: That's stretch in the middle with Carolina and the Packers
- 5:07Speaker 3: and then the Raiders somewhere in there. I think we
- 5:09Speaker 3: can do that.
- 5:10Speaker 1: There's a story. Over the past three seasons, Sean Ryan's
- 5:13Speaker 1: played on the offensive line for the Packers, and so
- 5:15Speaker 1: he played one one hundred and forty four of the
- 5:17Speaker 1: team's over thirty two hundred snaps, which puts him at
- 5:22Speaker 1: thirty four point nine percent of snaps played. Now again
- 5:25Speaker 1: he's played I'm gonna say the number specifically.
- 5:27Speaker 3: I saw this.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah, this hurts. He played one one hundred and forty
- 5:33Speaker 1: four of the team's three thousand, two hundred and seventy
- 5:36Speaker 1: two offensive snaps, which puts him at thirty four point
- 5:38Speaker 1: ninety six. Had he played just two more snaps, he
- 5:41Speaker 1: would have hit the thirty five percent mark and it
- 5:44Speaker 1: had been two million more dollars.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Is this just bad luck?
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yes, because it's two snaps. It's absolutely bad luck.
- 5:51Speaker 3: They couldn't rooty him and just throw a couple.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I didn't know, my god, if you're doing what Jerry
- 5:57Speaker 1: Jones did to uh the Cowboys. So Dak goes down, Yeah,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and Cooper mister backup savior Cooper Rush comes a rush.
- 6:07Speaker 1: They did pull him for Trey Lance because Cooper was
- 6:09Speaker 1: about to hit. They said they just wanted to see
- 6:11Speaker 1: if Trey.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Lance that I'm with you, I don't believe it.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I don't believe that.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I mean, if you know that if they passed the
- 6:18Speaker 3: certain mark, you're gonna owe them money, why not just
- 6:20Speaker 3: pull them out or just not? Hey, just run the ball, man,
- 6:23Speaker 3: run the ball. This guy, Hey, no snaps, let's go.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Let's just no snaps.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Two snaps. That's really bad luck, because if they knew
- 6:30Speaker 1: we're trying, they probably would have it had been more
- 6:33Speaker 1: than two snaps, they would have made sure it wouldn't
- 6:37Speaker 1: have been that close.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Question answer, Do you think that these teams have a
- 6:43Speaker 3: college recent college grad an intern to keep track of
- 6:47Speaker 3: all these bonuses?
- 6:48Speaker 1: I do think that there's probably someone in analytics, but
- 6:52Speaker 1: you can also put it in like an AI version
- 6:53Speaker 1: or it constantly tells.
- 6:54Speaker 3: You you don't need a kid to do it.
- 6:55Speaker 1: But yeah, but my point is, I don't think they'd
- 6:58Speaker 1: waited two snaps that they were going to do. It's
- 7:00Speaker 1: that's too close.
- 7:00Speaker 3: That's really close.
- 7:01Speaker 1: That's evil villain, that's Gargamel type stuff, you know, just
- 7:04Speaker 1: torture in the Smurfs.
- 7:06Speaker 3: How much money?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Two million? Oh a million bucks?
- 7:09Speaker 3: He could smell the two million dollars.
- 7:11Speaker 1: P Rose and Shoeless Joe reinstated by Major League Baseballs,
- 7:14Speaker 1: so they now can get in the Hall of Fame,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and they both should probably get in the Hall of Fame.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So Shoeless Joe first part of the Black Sox scandal
- 7:22Speaker 1: where it turns out the White Sox cheated through the
- 7:25Speaker 1: World Series.
- 7:26Speaker 3: There was no doubt that they they cheated. And then
- 7:28Speaker 3: where they took money, there was no doubt that they
- 7:29Speaker 3: took money. Yeah, no proof that they cheated.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Well, they played really terrible, except for Shoeless Show, who
- 7:34Speaker 1: played really well. There was no record of him actually
- 7:38Speaker 1: taking money, but there wasn't record to him not taking money.
- 7:41Speaker 3: But he didn't think they all admitted that they took money.
- 7:44Speaker 1: He did play out of his mind. He didn't, man,
- 7:46Speaker 1: he took money. I don't think they didn't.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I think they all didn't in trial. Hey, I remember,
- 7:50Speaker 3: like it was yesterday.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah. The movies, and I'm trying to pull from two
- 7:52Speaker 1: which is sad which movie because there's eight men out?
- 7:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a great movie.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Man, did I need to look, I'm gonna ask, did
- 8:02Speaker 1: Shoela's Joe take Wait?
- 8:04Speaker 3: Who you asking money? Kevin Costner?
- 8:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I hit him up, Hey, Costny, you met shoeless Joe. Okay.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So he was accused of taking five thousand dollars in
- 8:15Speaker 1: cash and had admitted to taking it in the nineteen
- 8:17Speaker 1: nineteen World Series scandal Boom. He admitted to receiving five
- 8:22Speaker 1: thousand dollars, but he did not play according to their directive.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Correct, and he had like a bunch of hits, like
- 8:31Speaker 3: you said, play out of money.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yeah. I did take the money though. So he did
- 8:35Speaker 1: gamble and they did lose. I get it. P Rose gamble.
- 8:39Speaker 1: You can't bet on baseball. He didn't bet his own team,
- 8:41Speaker 1: he said, he did not, But you can't. You can't
- 8:43Speaker 1: bet on baseball. You can't bet on baseball if you're
- 8:45Speaker 1: playing baseball.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Yeah, and the rule is very strict these days, and
- 8:49Speaker 3: no gambling whatsoever.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yes, they also were given lifetime bands. Their life is up.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Did they play well enough as players? Because pet Rose
- 8:58Speaker 1: when he bet on baseball, was a manager.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Yeah, he was already a manager. He was awesome.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Did they ever get but did he ever get caught
- 9:05Speaker 1: betting as a player, I don't think so, yeah, put
- 9:09Speaker 1: on both then, and he's they're both dead obviously. Well, yeah,
- 9:12Speaker 1: Shoe has just been dead.
- 9:13Speaker 3: He's been dead for a while. But but Pete Rose
- 9:16Speaker 3: died just recently.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Uh so yeah they should get in as being players.
- 9:20Speaker 3: I agree.
- 9:21Speaker 1: And also, even if it were today and you were
- 9:23Speaker 1: betting as a manager, yeah you're done. You can't do that,
- 9:28Speaker 1: even it was gambling allowed. Yeah, you can't do that, dude.
- 9:32Speaker 3: How cool is it to have a nickname like shoeless
- 9:35Speaker 3: Joe Jackson?
- 9:36Speaker 1: I guess it depends on the nickname. I didn't love.
- 9:38Speaker 1: T Bone explained I got a boner in seventh grade.
- 9:43Speaker 1: They said, did you No, I did not, But my
- 9:46Speaker 1: shorts ripped open. It wasn't like a boner ripped my
- 9:50Speaker 1: shorts open. If so, that had have been an awesome
- 9:53Speaker 1: nickname to have, because that's a powerful boner.
- 9:55Speaker 3: This story is in your book, right, Yeah, I remember reading.
- 9:57Speaker 1: That, and so my shorts ripped open. So there it
- 10:00Speaker 1: was out, and then the story turned into as I
- 10:04Speaker 1: was wrestling another dude, so then I turned into t
- 10:06Speaker 1: Bone and I hated it. So yeah, no, i'd really
- 10:08Speaker 1: been shootless was chootless. Bobby was t bone like throughout
- 10:11Speaker 1: your whole until I got to a high school. No way,
- 10:14Speaker 1: it sucked.
- 10:14Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It sucked because it was My nickname was that of
- 10:18Speaker 1: a kid who was wrestling in all season football who
- 10:20Speaker 1: got a bone rob or another kid.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Played, which you say did not happen.
- 10:24Speaker 1: No, it definitely didn't happen because my shorts ripped open.
- 10:30Speaker 1: And had it happened, because let me present this perspective,
- 10:35Speaker 1: had I got had I been aroused, and it ripped
- 10:38Speaker 1: my shorts open, I'd have been proud of that. That's
- 10:40Speaker 1: pretty powerful.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Sure, I've never in my life seen that happen on anyone,
- 10:44Speaker 1: that it ripped cloth, unless you're incredible Hulk. It's the
- 10:47Speaker 1: the thing was just wanted out and then so much
- 10:50Speaker 1: so that it ripped open. The shorts got like that's
- 10:52Speaker 1: something to be proud. That's cool.
- 10:54Speaker 3: That's a good nickname.
- 10:55Speaker 1: So what I thought it called me hulk that it
- 10:58Speaker 1: worked too, But they did it.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Sorry, that's a terrible nickname.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Yeah's terrible. So it has nothing to do with bones.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Is the irony of it, I know.
- 11:06Speaker 3: And now you're Bobby Bones, and there's crazy.
- 11:08Speaker 1: The irony of it. But yeah, shoeless, not so bad, shoeless.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Joe Jackson, Keybone sucked. It looks like NFL and Netflix
- 11:17Speaker 1: are gonna do another series called The Home Team. So
- 11:20Speaker 1: they did Quarterback, they did a wide receiver.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Yeah, what's home Team?
- 11:22Speaker 1: Home Team? The New York Jets, a six part documentary
- 11:24Speaker 1: series that follows six New York Jets players throughout the
- 11:27Speaker 1: twenty four to twenty five regular season.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Do they say who the players are? Sauce Gardner, Well.
- 11:33Speaker 1: They already had twenty four to twenty five, so I'm sure. Yeah, no,
- 11:36Speaker 1: it doesn't. That's kind of it's fun, so it's already
- 11:40Speaker 1: followed them. But this is people all got fired that
- 11:42Speaker 1: year because they lost their coach and their GM. Oh
- 11:46Speaker 1: so this is something they've already shot twenty four to
- 11:48Speaker 1: twenty five.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Oh, I got you.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's happened. But it doesn't say who they focused on.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Like watch that, Like Aaron Rodgers was a part of this, Yeah,
- 11:56Speaker 1: I'd watch that. Yeah, I'll watch it too. I didn't
- 11:59Speaker 1: really love Quarterback. I loved Quarterback. I loved thought it
- 12:02Speaker 1: was fine.
- 12:02Speaker 3: I learned a lot about Kirk Cousins.
- 12:03Speaker 1: What's the only thing I took from it was Kirk Cousins,
- 12:06Speaker 1: a pretty nice.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Guy, pretty nice dude. Yeah, a normal dude.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I thought it was fine. I didn't love quarterback. Did
- 12:11Speaker 1: you watch Receiver a third of one episode?
- 12:14Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 12:14Speaker 1: I didn't, But I didn't love quarterbacks, So I'm not
- 12:18Speaker 1: gonna love receiver because I would rather watch quarterbacks and receivers.
- 12:21Speaker 1: And if I thought that was fine, I'm not gonna Why.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Did the pain that Kirk Cousins would go through during
- 12:26Speaker 3: the season, Like this is stuff like that I'd never
- 12:28Speaker 3: even thought of.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I played golf yesterday with Michael Chandler.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Mma, he was on your team.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Ufc uh. He was in a group that I was in.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I was the celebrity and he was in a group.
- 12:39Speaker 1: So I'm just gonna celebrity in his group. He's more
- 12:40Speaker 1: famous than I am, and I'm the celebrity in his group.
- 12:43Speaker 3: So he paid to play with you.
- 12:44Speaker 1: I don't know if he paid or not.
- 12:46Speaker 3: He like he's a big fan of yours.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Well, they didn't know what celebrity they were getting, okay,
- 12:51Speaker 1: Because and I made this joke in my last special.
- 12:53Speaker 1: The whole setup was people are paying for celebrities and
- 12:56Speaker 1: there are major celebrities there. I won't relive the joke,
- 12:58Speaker 1: but I was on the driving ram for Nick Saban amazing.
- 13:03Speaker 1: It's pretty cool and I'm pretty jaded.
- 13:05Speaker 3: And that's the scene. How many people on the driving range?
- 13:07Speaker 1: Oh, it was driving round just pretty full. But everybody's
- 13:10Speaker 1: in golf clothes, so you really can't tell who's who.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Because other people that were there that I later talked
- 13:14Speaker 1: to were Drew Brees was there. He came up to me.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Drew did yeah, really nice, you guys have med I
- 13:22Speaker 1: met him a couple of years ago and then we
- 13:24Speaker 1: did the interview with him also at Super Bowl. Yeah,
- 13:27Speaker 1: so he came up. Cole McCoy came up to me too.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Those are the two people that came up to me
- 13:31Speaker 1: to say hi, which was super nice of them. There
- 13:33Speaker 1: were also people there like Shay from Dan and Shaye
- 13:36Speaker 1: Thomas Rhett, Like I know those guys. If we just
- 13:39Speaker 1: see them, we talk ernest. But I went up because
- 13:44Speaker 1: we took a big picture together and talked to Penny Hardaway,
- 13:47Speaker 1: who's also the coach at Memphis. How tall sixty seven
- 13:51Speaker 1: probably six seven six eight.
- 13:52Speaker 3: But like tit your eyeball, Like, wow, this dude's tall.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Or why is it taller than average? I guess I
- 13:58Speaker 3: knew who it.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Was, so my expectation was really tall, and he was
- 14:00Speaker 1: really tall. So there's a picture of us together happened
- 14:03Speaker 1: on my story. But yeah, he's six seven, Yeah, pretty tall.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Yeah he's tall. But Sabin and I were hitting balls
- 14:09Speaker 1: next to each other, and.
- 14:12Speaker 3: So you knew that.
- 14:13Speaker 1: You could tell because he's wearing the Nick Saban I
- 14:15Speaker 1: don't know style that hat is, but it's like a
- 14:17Speaker 1: big hat.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like the whatever garden hat. Yeah, whatever that is.
- 14:21Speaker 1: It was no doubt Nick Saban from one hundred feet away,
- 14:24Speaker 1: where everybody else was kind of a doubt. Like Ben Roethlisberger,
- 14:27Speaker 1: you would have known who he was, except he was
- 14:28Speaker 1: a pretty big dude just with a ball cap on
- 14:30Speaker 1: hitting balls. So Nick Saban, you knew. So we were
- 14:35Speaker 1: hitting balls, and he's hitting pretty good. He's seventy something
- 14:38Speaker 1: years old, and he wasn't like crotchety or anything.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Smooth swing.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Yes, my swing's not smooth, so I don't really not
- 14:44Speaker 1: monitoring anybody else's. We were walking away and else it
- 14:48Speaker 1: was like, hey, that's the wrong a or something like that.
- 14:51Speaker 1: You told him, though he told me that oh he
- 14:53Speaker 1: told you something like that because it came out. Our
- 14:55Speaker 1: bags were also near each other. And then everybody was
- 14:58Speaker 1: together for a picture, all the quote unquote celebrities, and
- 15:00Speaker 1: as we were walking away, somebody else said something and
- 15:04Speaker 1: then a camera guy comes up and goes, he let
- 15:06Speaker 1: me get a picture of you guys. I was like,
- 15:07Speaker 1: thank god. I didn't want to ask, and so he
- 15:08Speaker 1: took a picture of us together.
- 15:09Speaker 3: That's my scenario.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it's on my Instagram. It was awesome. He was nice.
- 15:14Speaker 1: He wasn't like fake nice. He wasn't mean, but he
- 15:17Speaker 1: was like normal. I would say that he was normal,
- 15:19Speaker 1: just like he were out there with a bunch of dudes,
- 15:21Speaker 1: just talked and said what's up, and that was it.
- 15:24Speaker 3: I feel like he just walks slowly.
- 15:27Speaker 1: He does walk kind of slow, like a seventy year old,
- 15:29Speaker 1: you know.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Yeah, just kind of like there's no hurry to get anywhere.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Played with Michael Chandler and he had glasses on that
- 15:35Speaker 1: were ho how was his face? I didn't know it
- 15:37Speaker 1: was him at first. All I saw was this dude. Now,
- 15:39Speaker 1: Michael Chandler is the opposite of Penny Hardaway short. Yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 1: he's probably five to seven.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Most UFC fighters short short, short people.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Is a ball muscle. And I said, what what did
- 15:52Speaker 1: you had to play something in sports? Like what did
- 15:54Speaker 1: you play? Because I know it was him. He had
- 15:56Speaker 1: a hat down because he the last fight when he
- 15:59Speaker 1: fought Patty the Baddie, which he lost that fight. But
- 16:01Speaker 1: that was like three weeks ago, right.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Yee about it? Maybe a month a month and a
- 16:06Speaker 3: half ago.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I was at that long ago. Yeah, So he had
- 16:09Speaker 1: big glasses on and a hat down. I said, you
- 16:11Speaker 1: played something and he pulled the glasses down. He goes, Dude,
- 16:15Speaker 1: that's me, Michael. I've been on your show. And I
- 16:17Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, my bad dude. And so
- 16:20Speaker 1: he was awesome. Just we talked for seven r eight holes.
- 16:24Speaker 3: He's a cool dude.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Yeah. We play closest to the Hole against each other.
- 16:28Speaker 1: What's funny is the video that I put on my
- 16:29Speaker 1: Instagram of us playing closest to the hole. He lost
- 16:31Speaker 1: it in the water, but he's actually a decent golfer.
- 16:34Speaker 1: That was like his worst swing of the whole day.
- 16:36Speaker 1: So yeah, it was good.
- 16:39Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 16:39Speaker 1: But he still has like under his eyes, like one
- 16:42Speaker 1: of his eyes is still busted up.
- 16:43Speaker 3: I'm telling you I wish I like, I feel like
- 16:45Speaker 3: a good show would be follow the UFC fighter after
- 16:49Speaker 3: the fight and like how long is that rehab? That's funny,
- 16:52Speaker 3: you know, just because like the fight is like all right,
- 16:55Speaker 3: they fight and then they leave and you never see
- 16:57Speaker 3: him again. But do they go straight to the hospital?
- 16:59Speaker 3: How long are they in bed at home? Like do
- 17:01Speaker 3: their kids jump on them when they get home and they's.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Like no, no, don't don't touch my face. Yes, I've
- 17:05Speaker 1: bet all that happens, right, I'd love to see that.
- 17:07Speaker 1: It's a pretty fun day though. That's cool, mostly just
- 17:10Speaker 1: because you're seeing a lot of people that you don't
- 17:13Speaker 1: see in real life. Like to me, Nick Saban is
- 17:15Speaker 1: a plus fame. Oh absolutely, My wife saw went the
- 17:18Speaker 1: grocery store. She wouldn't give a crap. But to me,
- 17:21Speaker 1: that's the Nick Saban, the Belichick, the sports like heroes
- 17:25Speaker 1: that have been so good at what they do almost
- 17:26Speaker 1: my entire life. Like that, I was. I was kind
- 17:28Speaker 1: of geeking out about that.
- 17:30Speaker 3: I dude, So I'm so glad you got a picture too,
- 17:32Speaker 3: because that's awkward to be like, man, I really would
- 17:34Speaker 3: love a picture, but I can't ask him.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Yeah, thankfully, somebody hopped in. I was like, hey, let
- 17:38Speaker 1: me get a picture, and I was like, don't mind
- 17:40Speaker 1: if I do and so and he's actually halfway smiling.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yeah in the picture, Yeah, he looks happy to be
- 17:45Speaker 3: with He's halfway smiling. How was a Colt McCoy Like,
- 17:48Speaker 3: what did you guys talk about?
- 17:49Speaker 1: He was extremely smart, like he's the nicest guy. And
- 17:53Speaker 1: so he came up and was just like, hey man,
- 17:56Speaker 1: how you been. Now. I never met Cole in person,
- 17:59Speaker 1: And I think it's one of those things too, like
- 18:01Speaker 1: or if I haven't seen anyone for a long time,
- 18:03Speaker 1: but I've seen them on social media or seen them around,
- 18:06Speaker 1: or you feel like you've seen them a lot. And
- 18:10Speaker 1: I think that was just a case like maybe from
- 18:13Speaker 1: listening to the show some from I know his wife
- 18:17Speaker 1: would listen that he just feels like we've met. I
- 18:20Speaker 1: don't think I've ever met Cole McCay. I've talked him
- 18:22Speaker 1: on the phone a couple of times because I taught
- 18:24Speaker 1: on the show, No me calling him just not for
- 18:27Speaker 1: fun but for like business stuff that we at one
- 18:31Speaker 1: point thought about doing a project together. But I've never
- 18:34Speaker 1: met him. And maybe it was just from that, like
- 18:37Speaker 1: the phone calls, but he was like, dude, you been
- 18:39Speaker 1: but he's so nice and he's also like big.
- 18:42Speaker 3: It's so weird. I feel like he would be smaller.
- 18:44Speaker 3: Do he just looks smaller?
- 18:45Speaker 1: No, he doesn't. You would go that's an athlete, big guy.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Pex threw a golf shirt.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Big and then at the same time too like you
- 18:54Speaker 3: don't play anymore, dude, Like go eat some chips and
- 18:56Speaker 3: he pizza. He looks fit still.
- 18:58Speaker 1: He just retired though.
- 19:00Speaker 3: That's a good point. Yeah, I guess he did so
- 19:02Speaker 3: a few years ago.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Last year.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Last year was his last year.
- 19:07Speaker 1: He didn't play last year. That was his first year
- 19:10Speaker 1: of retirement.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Okay, so two years.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Ago, so he's had one for one and a half
- 19:14Speaker 1: years of retirement. Yeah, you know, he still looks good.
- 19:17Speaker 1: So yeah, it was fun and.
- 19:18Speaker 3: You didn't talk to Roethlisberger and I didn't.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Really never really presented itself. And I'm also not a
- 19:23Speaker 1: huge fan. I'm not not a fan. I probably wouldn't
- 19:27Speaker 1: be his friend.
- 19:28Speaker 3: He plays as Steelers to get out here. Yeah, like,
- 19:31Speaker 3: what what's the year, right, they're your Cowboys fan? I'm not,
- 19:33Speaker 3: but what I don't want to bother anybody. So yeah,
- 19:36Speaker 3: that was the day yesterday, and oh, I should say that.
- 19:39Speaker 3: So I played this tournament. It was for Chris Tomlin,
- 19:42Speaker 3: the artist, Christian artist, and so you know, he calls
- 19:45Speaker 3: a bunch of his friends to come out.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Of play, and I've got a lot of friends. Luckily
- 19:48Speaker 1: I'm one of his friends. And I went out and played.
- 19:50Speaker 1: But the day before you and I went to play
- 19:52Speaker 1: because I was going to play in this tournament and
- 19:54Speaker 1: I hadn't played any golf really like four times this year,
- 19:57Speaker 1: and as best I ever shot, shot seventy eight.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Amazed, dude.
- 20:01Speaker 1: It's funny. I've had more people reach out to me
- 20:03Speaker 1: to say congratulations on that because that video that I
- 20:05Speaker 1: posted than any like professional accomplishment. That's true, but like
- 20:11Speaker 1: random dudes have reached out to go like, hey, I
- 20:13Speaker 1: saw you shot a seventy eight.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Man congratulation, I think because it's so relatable, like Dancing
- 20:18Speaker 3: with the Stars. Dude, I'm never gonna be on Dances
- 20:20Speaker 3: with the Stars. I can't relate to that. You want it,
- 20:22Speaker 3: that's cool, good for you, But I understand what it's
- 20:25Speaker 3: like to beat your own record. I've never shot in
- 20:28Speaker 3: the seventies ever, dude, If that would ever happened to me,
- 20:31Speaker 3: I'd be so excited, so I know how excited you are.
- 20:34Speaker 1: I didn't say anything as it was going to the
- 20:35Speaker 1: last hole because I definitely didn't want to jinx it.
- 20:37Speaker 1: But about a whole sixteen, this feels like a perfect game. Also,
- 20:40Speaker 1: it's like seventy eight. It's not even like shooting under Park.
- 20:43Speaker 1: It just shows you how good we're not. I've never
- 20:45Speaker 1: broken ady either, and so like whole sixteen, I'm like, uh, oh,
- 20:49Speaker 1: don't think about it. Don't think about it.
- 20:50Speaker 3: And I don't think any of us, like me and
- 20:51Speaker 3: Gator we were playing, I don't think we caught that.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Nope. I said nothing until we got there and I said, Eddie,
- 20:56Speaker 1: hold my phone because I had chipped a ball that
- 20:59Speaker 1: was like, oh six inches, yes, and I just needed
- 21:03Speaker 1: to tap in for the record. And I was like
- 21:06Speaker 1: for the record, and I made it, by the way,
- 21:08Speaker 1: I was kidding in the joke and I was like,
- 21:09Speaker 1: I'm shooting seventy nine like the pros. Dude, I said
- 21:12Speaker 1: that in the club, people like you, you're not a pro.
- 21:14Speaker 3: That's a terrible show for a pro.
- 21:16Speaker 1: The joke or seventy eight. Yeah, but I shot a
- 21:18Speaker 1: seventy eight for me as a not good golfer. That
- 21:21Speaker 1: was awesome.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Even my father in law reached out. I was like,
- 21:23Speaker 1: you shot a seventy eight.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Dude, We're thank you. I'm happy for you, so happy.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I'm happy for me.
- 21:28Speaker 3: We're speaking for a lot of other guys out there
- 21:30Speaker 3: were very happy for you. Yeah.
- 21:31Speaker 1: It wasn't braggy. It was just like I was proud.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like a hole in one. Like if you
- 21:36Speaker 3: were to ever have a hole in one, I would buy.
- 21:38Speaker 1: You something that would be crazy both of us.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I know it's neither one of us.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I don't know one.
- 21:43Speaker 3: We've gotten close.
- 21:44Speaker 1: What's your best round?
- 21:45Speaker 3: Eighty eighty one?
- 21:47Speaker 1: I trit eighty once and eighty one once. So yes,
- 21:51Speaker 1: same dude. You just had pars like you had nobody
- 21:55Speaker 1: say you were just par par park.
- 21:56Speaker 3: I remember looking at your score. I think at the
- 21:58Speaker 3: front after the front nine, just kind of like, let
- 22:00Speaker 3: me see where we're all at. And I had square square,
- 22:04Speaker 3: double square like and then a birdie and then that's
- 22:06Speaker 3: kind of what mine looked like. And you had nothing,
- 22:08Speaker 3: just numbers. I'm like, oh my gosh, and no birdies like,
- 22:11Speaker 3: no birdies. I think you had one boat, you were
- 22:13Speaker 3: at a double and.
- 22:14Speaker 1: A bogie on the front because I went, I went
- 22:17Speaker 1: thirty nine, thirty nine, So I just remember from the card. Yeah,
- 22:20Speaker 1: it gives a nice day and awesome, it is a
- 22:22Speaker 1: nice day. The NBA Playoffs are finally here. It's been wild,

- 23:21Speaker 1: Okay, so we'll say this, since the last time we
- 23:25Speaker 1: did the show, we know Jason Tatum he tore his achilles.
- 23:28Speaker 1: That is terrible, is ben He's out. He did have
- 23:32Speaker 1: surgery really quickly, which doesn't usually happen like immediately had surgery.
- 23:38Speaker 1: That's about the worst leg injury you can have, other
- 23:41Speaker 1: than like an odd bone significant bone break on a
- 23:45Speaker 1: significant bone at a non joint type place, like if
- 23:48Speaker 1: you were to take your femur and break it like
- 23:50Speaker 1: your thigh. Sure, but as far as like muscles go,
- 23:54Speaker 1: that's the bad bad one.
- 23:55Speaker 3: A rupture is that the same as just a tear?
- 23:57Speaker 1: Yeah, basically a rupture to me, just I was like exploded. Yes,
- 24:01Speaker 1: it sounds he sounds like a more dynamic word.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Uh so he's out. They're gonna play the next tonight.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean he's out, but they won. They came
- 24:12Speaker 3: without him. Yeah, so three two and so yeah, so
- 24:15Speaker 3: we'll see what happens.
- 24:16Speaker 1: That sucks for Celtics fans. Does uh so last night
- 24:20Speaker 1: though Denver ended up beating Oklahoma City.
- 24:23Speaker 3: It's three to three and it wasn't close.
- 24:26Speaker 1: You will have to wear a woman's song for a
- 24:28Speaker 1: week if Okaalom City does not win the championship.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Bro. It was like I told my kids that, like
- 24:35Speaker 3: I'm leaving them, like because I just under my breath
- 24:39Speaker 3: and like, oh my gosh, I want to wear this
- 24:41Speaker 3: thong and they go, what I go, it's just a
- 24:44Speaker 3: stupid thing we did on the podcast that if I
- 24:47Speaker 3: said that, Okay, so he has to win the whole thing,
- 24:49Speaker 3: and if they don't win the whole thing, I have
- 24:51Speaker 3: to wear a thong. And my kids were like, you
- 24:54Speaker 3: said that, why would you say that? So then they
- 24:58Speaker 3: got all they got like do you have to wear
- 25:01Speaker 3: it like everywhere? Like do you have to just wear
- 25:03Speaker 3: it thong? Are you gonna go to the grocery store
- 25:05Speaker 3: just wearing a thing? Like no, guys, I'm gonna wear
- 25:07Speaker 3: underneath my pants like underwear, and only during the show
- 25:11Speaker 3: they're like, thank god, yeah that sucks, and then and
- 25:15Speaker 3: then yeah, now we're tied up going to Game seven,
- 25:19Speaker 3: it all comes down to this.
- 25:20Speaker 1: At least it'll be in Oklahoma City.
- 25:22Speaker 3: I don't think that's mattered, though, because I feel like
- 25:24Speaker 3: the winds have come on the road before this game,
- 25:27Speaker 3: this last game.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I think you're right about it doesn't matter as much
- 25:30Speaker 1: as it used to. But I think there's a difference
- 25:33Speaker 1: in Denver and Okay, seeing that those Okay, see, you
- 25:35Speaker 1: guys have to go play up in the altitude. Sure
- 25:37Speaker 1: that sucks.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Is that what the number meant on their jerseys? They
- 25:41Speaker 3: have like a weird number. Denver had like a fifty
- 25:44Speaker 3: forty seven.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Probably, I don't know what you're talking about, Yeah, but probably.
- 25:47Speaker 1: But yeah, when players have to go play in Denver,
- 25:49Speaker 1: that's very difficult because of the altitude, more so than
- 25:52Speaker 1: just the advantage. Yeah, but shape four foul so quick
- 25:56Speaker 1: he did. In fact, they're on fourth foul too, so
- 25:59Speaker 1: I had to sit out the thunder win. But if
- 26:01Speaker 1: they don't, I do too. Man, if they don't, that's.
- 26:05Speaker 3: This is good basketball though. Finally, like this playoff basketball
- 26:09Speaker 3: is so good that everyone's playing so hard. I mean,
- 26:12Speaker 3: Westbrook is like out there playing defense, trying to get blocks,
- 26:16Speaker 3: getting rebounds. Pretty amazing.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Fun, So we're gonna do this segment and we
- 26:21Speaker 1: did a couple of these before kickoff. Kevin, he had
- 26:23Speaker 1: his babies, by the way, he posted that, right, Yeah
- 26:25Speaker 1: he did. Okay, he posted the public life. Oh I
- 26:27Speaker 1: thought he did. I don't know public well, but you
- 26:32Speaker 1: know he well, no, you know, but he did say
- 26:36Speaker 1: he was having him that day. We're not saying any
- 26:38Speaker 1: names or anything. Oh I thought I saw him posted anyway,
- 26:40Speaker 1: I don't think he did. Can we say he had
- 26:42Speaker 1: his babies? Since he said he was having he was
- 26:43Speaker 1: leaving to have the babies.
- 26:44Speaker 3: He said he was going to the hospital that day.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's yeah.
- 26:47Speaker 3: I think people expected that, and we can tell people
- 26:50Speaker 3: that good news.
- 26:51Speaker 1: He had the baby born. Yeah, they were born because everything. Yeah,
- 26:54Speaker 1: he said all this. We'll say nothing else, but we
- 26:57Speaker 1: recorded with him and you'll hear that in a minute.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Talking about Tatum's injury, we didn't exactly know that it
- 27:02Speaker 1: was a ruptured achilles. Yeah, so you'll hear that. And
- 27:08Speaker 1: we also did our top ten NBA basketball players of
- 27:10Speaker 1: all time. I guess it's just basketball players of all
- 27:12Speaker 1: time because they're not all NBA players.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Oh correct, Yeah, I see what you're saying. Correct, So
- 27:18Speaker 3: we're going.
- 27:18Speaker 1: To get to these two segments. So that's why you
- 27:21Speaker 1: hear Kickoff Kevin. He's not here with us today. Rest
- 27:23Speaker 1: in peace. He has two kids. Now, all right, here
- 27:26Speaker 1: you go. This episode comes out later in the week,
- 27:28Speaker 1: but we're going to record this on Tuesday. It is
- 27:32Speaker 1: eleven fifteen AM and we're recording this while it's fresh
- 27:36Speaker 1: and while we still have Kickoff Kevin, because he wasn't
- 27:39Speaker 1: going to be on the show today. But the Celtics
- 27:42Speaker 1: are now down one three. So I guess if you
- 27:46Speaker 1: were saying the Knicks they'd be up three to one, correct,
- 27:50Speaker 1: I do. I did not think that the Celtics would
- 27:53Speaker 1: lose another game. And I haven't seen the update on Tatum.
- 27:58Speaker 1: He maybe all all next year or two.
- 28:00Speaker 3: So it didn't look good.
- 28:01Speaker 1: So thoughts Kevin Celtics fan Kevin, go ahead?
- 28:05Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I've gone from full like you know, anxiety
- 28:08Speaker 4: stress that we talked about earlier in the week, to
- 28:12Speaker 4: full like depression.
- 28:13Speaker 1: You're about to have two kids.
- 28:15Speaker 4: I know, I know, I know which I'm very happy
- 28:17Speaker 4: in life. It's a very happy thing in life. But
- 28:19Speaker 4: right now, for this day, like you said, it's still
- 28:21Speaker 4: fresh on my mind. I can be depressed for a
- 28:23Speaker 4: few hours until the kids come. By the time you
- 28:26Speaker 4: hear this, the kids will be here. And but for
- 28:29Speaker 4: right now, all I can think about is Jason Tatum.
- 28:32Speaker 4: Not only just us losing this year, but it's next year. Now,
- 28:35Speaker 4: what the heck do we do next year? And we're
- 28:37Speaker 4: supposed to make this run for five or so years
- 28:39Speaker 4: with Tatum and Brown and the pieces around it. They're
- 28:42Speaker 4: probably gonna move some other guys anyways this offseason. But
- 28:44Speaker 4: now it's like, what do you do because when can
- 28:47Speaker 4: Tatum be back? Maybe All Star Break next year if
- 28:51Speaker 4: it is, like we said, probably looks like a torn achilles,
- 28:53Speaker 4: let's be honest. So now it's not only does this
- 28:56Speaker 4: hurt this year and right now, but this hurts long
- 28:59Speaker 4: term effect and hopefully hopefully this isn't something more. You're like, man,
- 29:03Speaker 4: he was just never the same after this injury.
- 29:05Speaker 1: What were you more sad about losing that game and
- 29:08Speaker 1: possibly the series? Or and it we probably because you're
- 29:12Speaker 1: not here at the beginning of the show. We haven't
- 29:14Speaker 1: recorded that part yet, but there's probably more information out
- 29:16Speaker 1: about Tatum's injury. Correct, we don't know what it is
- 29:18Speaker 1: is we're recording this. What were you more upset about
- 29:20Speaker 1: the injury or possibly losing the series?
- 29:22Speaker 4: The injury for sure, one hundred percent, because halfway through
- 29:26Speaker 4: that fourth quarter, I was kind of just accepting, you
- 29:28Speaker 4: know what, I think this is just last year and
- 29:31Speaker 4: just everything's just kind of taking a toll. And Porzingis
- 29:34Speaker 4: said he looks bad.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Yeah he didn't.
- 29:36Speaker 4: Jaylen Brown doesn't look good.
- 29:37Speaker 1: He's hurt though, right too, right, yeah.
- 29:39Speaker 4: And I think they're both like lingering injuries, and you're
- 29:41Speaker 4: just like, you know what, it's just it's tough to
- 29:43Speaker 4: repeat in any sports. It's just tough, and you kind
- 29:46Speaker 4: of just start to accept that. But then the injury
- 29:48Speaker 4: is just oh man, and he was having he was
- 29:51Speaker 4: carrying the team, him and Derek White. Derek White was
- 29:54Speaker 4: having a great team, unbelievable game, unbelievable, the only guy.
- 29:58Speaker 4: I mean, he was doing everything, rebounding, feeling, blocks, everything,
- 30:02Speaker 4: And to see that happen on like just a fluke
- 30:04Speaker 4: play like you see in these injuries, it just sucks.
- 30:07Speaker 4: So for sure, the injury rather than the season or
- 30:10Speaker 4: the series ending to the Knicks, because give it. I mean,
- 30:13Speaker 4: I'll give credit where to do the Knicks are just
- 30:15Speaker 4: out playing them.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Did you think they could have won that game? Maybe
- 30:17Speaker 3: you wouldn't have gotten injured.
- 30:18Speaker 4: No, I thought even before that it was I know
- 30:20Speaker 4: they're only down a few points at that point, but
- 30:23Speaker 4: it was, I mean, it was swinging hard to momentum
- 30:25Speaker 4: size side to the Knicks.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I'm very sorry for your potential loss.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 4: Thanks, guys.
- 30:33Speaker 1: At this point though, you may already have a kid.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Yeah two, two kids you keep forgetting well, one may
- 30:38Speaker 1: not come out yet, whinsies, one may not be out yet.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Yeah, how does that work?
- 30:43Speaker 1: They come out pretty quick, same time.
- 30:45Speaker 3: God, that'd be terrible. Yeah, my mom, oh my gosh.
- 30:48Speaker 1: So think about this though, if I could shed a
- 30:51Speaker 1: little light on the situation. Yeah, twenty twenty, Golden State
- 30:56Speaker 1: had the number two pick and they had Wiseman. They
- 30:59Speaker 1: got Wiseman, right, yeah, and not that wise Men is awesome.
- 31:03Speaker 1: But they got the number two pick after they'd won
- 31:05Speaker 1: all those years. But because of the injuries, like to Clay,
- 31:08Speaker 1: they their team's decimated, and so that year actually allowed
- 31:12Speaker 1: them to stock up for the next few years once
- 31:16Speaker 1: everybody came back healthy and Tatum still in his twenties. Yeah,
- 31:21Speaker 1: the achilles thing's gonna suck. If it's an achilles, that's
- 31:23Speaker 1: the worst injury. But again with science medical science, it's
- 31:26Speaker 1: getting better and better. I think he'll probably be back
- 31:29Speaker 1: to what he was before. And if you lose Tatum,
- 31:33Speaker 1: if Porzingis is no longer on the team, there are
- 31:35Speaker 1: a few of those guys gonna be gone. They should
- 31:37Speaker 1: just go full tank.
- 31:38Speaker 4: And that's where I'm at too, because there was already
- 31:40Speaker 4: reports coming out of a week or two ago that
- 31:42Speaker 4: was like, oh, the Celtics are going to make some
- 31:43Speaker 4: big like moves in the offseason. They just can't afford
- 31:46Speaker 4: all these guys. At the end of the day, Drew Holiday,
- 31:48Speaker 4: whoever it is, deare.
- 31:48Speaker 1: White Holidays getting older?
- 31:49Speaker 4: Yeah, Holiday's getting older. They just resigned all these guys.
- 31:52Speaker 4: But at the same time, we see this all the
- 31:53Speaker 4: time in the NBA, where they just one year, even
- 31:55Speaker 4: if it's a three year contract, then they flipped them
- 31:56Speaker 4: for a younger guy. Or so I'm with you on that.
- 31:59Speaker 4: It's like, okay, if tate them out the majority of
- 32:01Speaker 4: next year and you already kind of want to get
- 32:03Speaker 4: rid of these guys. Porzingis holiday, whoever it is, then
- 32:07Speaker 4: it's like just go full full tank.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Yeah, because you have a year to actually get rid
- 32:13Speaker 1: of those contracts. You were already on the fence about yep,
- 32:15Speaker 1: So okay, let them go and you don't Tatum, don't
- 32:18Speaker 1: rush them back. Doesn't need to come back halfway through.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Tank it out. Get your top three or four pick,
- 32:24Speaker 1: or the team with one percent can get the number
- 32:26Speaker 1: one pick.
- 32:27Speaker 4: And you say, or it could be the MAVs.
- 32:28Speaker 1: It's hilarious.
- 32:29Speaker 4: Trade away the best player and then still get the
- 32:30Speaker 4: number one pick when Cooper Flag's coming out, that'd.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Be great, dude, that's hilarious. That's hilarious. Yeah, that's not
- 32:38Speaker 1: what we're talking about. It's hilarious. Like send Luca to
- 32:42Speaker 1: the Lakers and you have a one percent chance and.
- 32:46Speaker 3: They hit the lottery.
- 32:49Speaker 4: Yeah, when generational players coming out.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Hilarious. And you don't even get to watch the balls anymore.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Like the lottery.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Yeah balls, they just open the cards.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Maybe one of the funnier things I've seen in a while.
- 33:04Speaker 4: But yeah, I can't helpe it to laugh, Like I'm not.
- 33:06Speaker 4: People are like, legit upset about.
- 33:07Speaker 3: It, But I can't be upset about it.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Not when you have, not when you can be upset
- 33:11Speaker 1: about Tatum.
- 33:12Speaker 4: Yeah I know.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Hey, so the Tatum thing, dumb question. When he's crying,
- 33:16Speaker 3: is he crying about his season or is he crying
- 33:20Speaker 3: about like how bad it hurts?
- 33:21Speaker 1: Not how bad it hurts, crying because of what this
- 33:26Speaker 1: all means for his future and his immediate future, meaning
- 33:30Speaker 1: the end of this season, which they were poised to
- 33:32Speaker 1: win the title, and then for next year.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, I think it's an emotional cry Okay, not
- 33:39Speaker 4: a physical pal.
- 33:40Speaker 3: I was just thinking, gosh, man, that must hurt so bad.
- 33:42Speaker 3: He's still crying, you know, five minutes later.
- 33:45Speaker 1: The thing about the achilles, and again they have probably
- 33:49Speaker 1: said because again we're talking a right now without knowing.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Anytime I've seen someone have an achilles injury, it doesn't
- 33:54Speaker 1: hurt so bad, and they're always surprised or like what's
- 33:57Speaker 1: happening and there's like a grab or look like wait
- 34:00Speaker 1: what and then they go down instead of like a
- 34:04Speaker 1: tear and a hamstring or tear, and it's like oh,
- 34:07Speaker 1: or break.
- 34:08Speaker 3: You went down pretty quick, and he grabbed his ankle
- 34:10Speaker 3: pretty quick.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Which may not be an achilles, right, and you hope
- 34:15Speaker 1: it's not something is bad news.
- 34:16Speaker 4: But there's something bad, don't you.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Those the doctors though, that jump on social media really
- 34:21Speaker 3: quick and tell you this is exactly what it is.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Hey, those are doctors.
- 34:26Speaker 3: They have images.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Every person that can get on the internet and Google
- 34:31Speaker 1: search any injury. We're really sorry about that.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Sorry, Kevin.
- 34:33Speaker 4: Thanks kas I know you genuinely mean that.
- 34:35Speaker 3: But congratulations on the kids.
- 34:37Speaker 4: Hey, thanks, yes, I know, I know it'll all be Hey, now,
- 34:40Speaker 4: guess what you don't have to watch? Not watching?
- 34:45Speaker 1: What if they come back though? Oh my god, what
- 34:47Speaker 1: if they Tatum Patrick Ewing effect where the Nicks get
- 34:50Speaker 1: really good once you Wing's gone.
- 34:52Speaker 3: So now you do have to watch.
- 34:54Speaker 4: I'm not watching on Wednesday unless like they're clothes and
- 34:57Speaker 4: then to peakle.
- 34:59Speaker 1: This is past Wednesday, sir, yesterday? Yes, okay, all right,
- 35:02Speaker 1: sorry about that, Kevin.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Thanks.

- 36:03Speaker 1: We did Top ten football players of all time. Now
- 36:07Speaker 1: that factored in kids and adult so now we're gonna
- 36:11Speaker 1: do Top ten basketball players of all time.
- 36:13Speaker 3: This was tougher for me because you didn't have a team.
- 36:16Speaker 3: I'm a Spurs fan, but I mean there aren't.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you are a Spurs fan.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Yeah, but they're on that many Spurs.
- 36:21Speaker 1: You were a big Spurs fan. I would go to
- 36:22Speaker 1: games with you because your parents had season tickets. Right. Yeah,
- 36:24Speaker 1: we stood at a tunnel. You took me down to
- 36:26Speaker 1: the tunnel. We gave the players five coming through.
- 36:27Speaker 3: I say that was funny because my dad was like, hey,
- 36:30Speaker 3: we got you. You and your friends are come in.
- 36:32Speaker 3: We got you these passes. You guys can like, you know,
- 36:34Speaker 3: go down the tunnel and meet the players. I'm like, cool,
- 36:37Speaker 3: and it is cool. And I told Bobby and our
- 36:39Speaker 3: friends Steve, like all right, let's go. We're going down
- 36:41Speaker 3: the tunnel. And it was almost one of those like
- 36:43Speaker 3: passes where you give your nine year old.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Oh for sure, we were the only adults, but that
- 36:47Speaker 1: doesn't mean it was not cool because it was all
- 36:50Speaker 1: kids and then us adults putting our hands out getting
- 36:53Speaker 1: slapped by the players when they come through.
- 36:54Speaker 3: It's when they come out, you know, for warm up,
- 36:56Speaker 3: and then you give them high fives they come through,
- 36:58Speaker 3: and it definitely was like little kid, little kid, little
- 37:00Speaker 3: kid us.
- 37:01Speaker 4: Do good for it.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I vividly remember that.
- 37:04Speaker 3: I was awesome.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it was awesome because we're on the court. I
- 37:06Speaker 1: don't think i'd ever even been to an NBA game
- 37:08Speaker 1: at that point.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Really, yeah, I was your first NBA game.
- 37:10Speaker 1: How would I go to NBA game? Arkansas? We didn't
- 37:12Speaker 1: have anything, We had nothing.
- 37:13Speaker 3: True, and you know, the Spurs were hot then, Like
- 37:17Speaker 3: the Spurs were like a good team that did look good.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Oh you talking about man? Like? Okay? Top ten basketball
- 37:24Speaker 1: players of all time Eddie.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Number one, Michael Jordan. I mean, how are you a
- 37:30Speaker 3: kid our age?
- 37:31Speaker 1: Hey, I don't have him on the list.
- 37:33Speaker 3: What are you talking about? Yeah?
- 37:36Speaker 1: Not any No.
- 37:39Speaker 3: You didn't you wear Jordan's man?
- 37:42Speaker 1: Now, I'm not no, no, no, I'm not saying he's
- 37:45Speaker 1: not awesome. He wasn't one. I'm a hater of bandwagoners,
- 37:51Speaker 1: and I'm not saying you're a bandwagoner. Chicago Pans and bandwagoners.
- 37:53Speaker 1: But everybody loved Jordan, and he was so beloved by
- 37:57Speaker 1: pop culture that I was. I should say I'm more
- 38:00Speaker 1: of a contrarian for the fact of just being contrarian.
- 38:02Speaker 3: I'm like that with Tom Brady, same yeah, I can
- 38:04Speaker 3: stand him.
- 38:04Speaker 1: So oh I could. I could stand him. I just
- 38:07Speaker 1: didn't root for him anyway.
- 38:09Speaker 3: I can kind of like show people that I don't
- 38:11Speaker 3: like Tom Brady. I'll say it.
- 38:13Speaker 1: I was not a mi I was not a hater,
- 38:14Speaker 1: but I didn't. That's funny. Yeah, that's a good one. Okay.
- 38:18Speaker 3: Number two Michael Jordan won. And then number two is
- 38:20Speaker 3: Kobe Mamba man, I mean, and then two just kind
- 38:24Speaker 3: of like the more you know, the long the longer
- 38:27Speaker 3: he's been dead, Like you just hear all these stories,
- 38:30Speaker 3: more and more about how Kobe works so hard. And
- 38:32Speaker 3: now that I have kids playing basketball, I tell him
- 38:34Speaker 3: unlimited Kobe stories or show them YouTube clips or TikTok
- 38:38Speaker 3: clips of people talking about Kobe practicing when no one
- 38:41Speaker 3: was looking. Stuff like that is so cool to me.
- 38:44Speaker 1: You realize Kobe was unhealthy mentally, right?
- 38:47Speaker 3: Sure?
- 38:47Speaker 1: Okay, just making sure, but.
- 38:48Speaker 3: When a kid is learning pressure basketball, it's nothing. There's
- 38:51Speaker 3: nothing better than seeing a clip of Kobe talking about
- 38:54Speaker 3: how he practiced so much.
- 38:55Speaker 1: I would say, anyone that is that dedicated to anything,
- 38:58Speaker 1: I am unhealthy mentally. When it comes to there are reasons,
- 39:02Speaker 1: and I'm sure Kobe's was based in some sort of
- 39:04Speaker 1: trauma too. The reason he's like that, but anybody great,
- 39:08Speaker 1: there's a ton of sacrifice and there's something that's pushing
- 39:11Speaker 1: them that ain't super healthy. So I've done the joke
- 39:13Speaker 1: before and I've seen other people do similar things where
- 39:15Speaker 1: it's like Kobe's like, he's like, yeah, maybe played Kobe
- 39:18Speaker 1: last night, and uh, he was talking crap because the
- 39:21Speaker 1: night before he went at me, he shot up a
- 39:23Speaker 1: bar that all my family was ad, and then the
- 39:25Speaker 1: next night was kind of sad and he was like, yeah,
- 39:26Speaker 1: that's why you're sad, and that's why I put forty
- 39:28Speaker 1: two on you. And they were like, Mama got you again,
- 39:31Speaker 1: and like, man, Kobe would do anything to win, but.
- 39:37Speaker 3: And looks like the most jerkish things ever.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Right, and now it's like it's just Mama being mamba. Yeah,
- 39:42Speaker 1: but yeah, awesome work ethic, but you have to be
- 39:45Speaker 1: unhealthy to want it that bad as somebody who is unhealthy.
- 39:48Speaker 3: And as a Spurs fan, I kind of I hated
- 39:50Speaker 3: playing you know, the Spurs, playing Kobe and the Lakers,
- 39:53Speaker 3: but you had to respect it because he was so
- 39:55Speaker 3: freaking good.
- 39:56Speaker 1: He was so good. Yeah, and high school, you know,
- 40:01Speaker 1: one of the real last successful high school guys to
- 40:04Speaker 1: do it. There were a few obviously successful. A lot
- 40:06Speaker 1: of kids got draft until they changed it. But it
- 40:08Speaker 1: was tough. But and what and set the bench his
- 40:11Speaker 1: first year Yeah pretty much. Yeah, you know Philadelphia kid
- 40:16Speaker 1: wanted to go play for the Sixers obviously.
- 40:18Speaker 3: But then he was like he lived in another country. Yeah, literally, that's.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Why he's a good soccer player, Like his parents lived
- 40:24Speaker 1: over there, but then he moved back to America.
- 40:26Speaker 3: Because there are TikTok.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Videos now of him in high school, like in the hallways,
- 40:29Speaker 1: like talking, he's like this is kobeby Brian. He's like
- 40:32Speaker 1: big recruit. It's pretty cool.
- 40:35Speaker 3: And then let's go to the Santania Spurs. Tim Duncan man,
- 40:37Speaker 3: I mean big Timmy and the paint was just so
- 40:40Speaker 3: awesome to watch. And really I just take that back
- 40:42Speaker 3: to my dad having season tickets and us going to
- 40:44Speaker 3: those games. Loved seeing Tim Duncan play.
- 40:46Speaker 1: So more about the time he played in the experience
- 40:48Speaker 1: while he played than him because he was as they
- 40:52Speaker 1: call him, the big fundamental. Fundamentals aren't the sexiest thing,
- 40:55Speaker 1: but they do win.
- 40:56Speaker 3: I mean this, I think the Spurs in the two thousands,
- 40:58Speaker 3: was just strictly in the middle of basketball. They were
- 41:01Speaker 3: so good at it, like nothing boring. Yeah, yes, they
- 41:05Speaker 3: were boring, but they won. Yeah, but that's why the
- 41:07Speaker 3: NBA didn't like them, Yes, because in their market was
- 41:09Speaker 3: so small San Antonio.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Small market, boring to watch winners, and he was like,
- 41:14Speaker 1: can somebody it will bring in ratings?
- 41:16Speaker 3: Win?
- 41:17Speaker 1: Yeah, starts are awesome though.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Okay, go ahead, I'm gonna group all the Spurs there
- 41:20Speaker 3: in the middle. So I'll go. I'll go Tony Parker.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Next at what number eighty four?
- 41:25Speaker 3: I'm right, and then Tony Parker's four. Yeah, okay, so
- 41:28Speaker 3: Tony Parker.
- 41:29Speaker 1: It was weird. You know somefing I see an actor
- 41:30Speaker 1: and they play an American and they talk in an
- 41:32Speaker 1: interview and their leg You're like, I know they're British.
- 41:35Speaker 1: First time Tony Parker spoke, I was like, dude's French.
- 41:37Speaker 1: What's the crap?
- 41:38Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 41:39Speaker 1: Really weird, really weird.
- 41:40Speaker 3: But what's crazy to is his dad would hang out
- 41:42Speaker 3: in the suite where my dad would hang out because
- 41:44Speaker 3: my dad wasn't a sports fan, but my mom loved
- 41:46Speaker 3: the Spurs. So he got the season tickets and then
- 41:49Speaker 3: he got himself a ticket to the suite where there
- 41:51Speaker 3: was open bar, and he would just sit there at
- 41:53Speaker 3: the bar and he would hang out with Tony Parker's dad,
- 41:56Speaker 3: who spoke English.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Well, Tony spoke English just with an but.
- 42:00Speaker 3: No no accent was just like regular American accent.
- 42:04Speaker 1: My wife is watching, she's never seen it before, Desperate Housewives,
- 42:08Speaker 1: and she's watching the whole If there's nothing that she's
- 42:11Speaker 1: just hanging out, she'll have it on. And Tony Parker,
- 42:13Speaker 1: Evil Andngoria.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Oh she on? There are they on? There?
- 42:17Speaker 1: Eva is the main character on des Housewives. Oh, Desperate
- 42:20Speaker 1: Housewives like the reality show. No, you're thinking of Real Housewives.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Oh, dang, I thought I.
- 42:25Speaker 4: Was with Eddie on that one.
- 42:25Speaker 1: I don't know. Desperate Housewives is from like the two thousand.
- 42:29Speaker 1: It's a show shower. Yeah, it was like the biggest show.
- 42:32Speaker 1: I never watched it, and she didn't watch she was
- 42:34Speaker 1: too young. Flex on me twelve years her wife.
- 42:37Speaker 3: But big time.
- 42:39Speaker 1: She Uh, yeah, I was watching a little bit of
- 42:42Speaker 1: last night because she was watching Evil Andngoria, and I
- 42:44Speaker 1: was thinking about Tony Parker because they were married for
- 42:46Speaker 1: a while.
- 42:46Speaker 3: They were married.
- 42:47Speaker 1: I don't think there are anymore.
- 42:48Speaker 3: There's some drama. There was some drama on that, right.
- 42:50Speaker 4: It was a bad breakup, I think was it?
- 42:51Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, what herst drama? And then uh, we'll
- 42:55Speaker 3: go Manu Ginobili. Dude loved Mano Genobli from Argentina. I
- 42:59Speaker 3: mean really it was pretty early when like foreigners, especially
- 43:04Speaker 3: from South America came to play NBA, and he was
- 43:07Speaker 3: like one of the first, which is pretty awesome. And
- 43:09Speaker 3: he played so scrappy.
- 43:10Speaker 1: He was scrappy. He was six. To me, he's like
- 43:12Speaker 1: the grade tot six man. And he wasn't the six
- 43:14Speaker 1: man always he ended up starting, right, No, he was
- 43:17Speaker 1: always the sever He never was started.
- 43:18Speaker 3: He never started, which is so cool. And now again
- 43:20Speaker 3: talking about my kids, Like, look, Manu wasn't a starter.
- 43:23Speaker 3: He was a bench player and they needed that. They
- 43:25Speaker 3: needed a good bench player because when the starters would
- 43:27Speaker 3: sit down, boom, here comes Manu and they never slowed down.
- 43:30Speaker 1: I just assumed eventually he started because he ended up
- 43:32Speaker 1: being so famous and all star huh.
- 43:35Speaker 3: And he never complained like that was just his role.
- 43:38Speaker 3: And what's even cooler too, he's still with the Spurs
- 43:39Speaker 3: organization doing it in the front office. I think ambassador. Yeah,
- 43:43Speaker 3: that's it.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Ambassador, So basically games, he goes and meets people, rich people.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Is that what's a good job. Yeah, that's a good job.
- 43:48Speaker 3: All right?
- 43:49Speaker 1: What else?
- 43:49Speaker 3: And then David Robinson the Admirle, and then I'll group
- 43:52Speaker 3: all those Spurs together and then once they get out
- 43:54Speaker 3: of the Spurs. Shaquille O'Neal man Blue Chips the movie.
- 43:59Speaker 1: Uh yeah, big pop culture crossover.
- 44:02Speaker 3: What was it when he was the uh the genie?
- 44:05Speaker 3: He was Shazam and then Shackfu with shack movie. I
- 44:10Speaker 3: don't know what Chachu was, but dude, Shaquille O'Neill was
- 44:14Speaker 3: awesome because he was so big, and my cousin Leroy
- 44:16Speaker 3: went to high school with him in San Antonio, so
- 44:18Speaker 3: before he even got famous. He's like, man, watch out
- 44:21Speaker 3: this guy, Shaquille O'Neil. Dude, I went to high school
- 44:23Speaker 3: with him. He's gonna be awesome.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Sure enough, Sure enough.
- 44:27Speaker 3: Now that number on I'm on number seven, Shaq was
- 44:34Speaker 3: seven eight is kimtumbu? No no, no.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's because I think eight one first
- 44:45Speaker 1: time eight B to one and that's that's the finger.
- 44:48Speaker 1: That's uh. They the Camber was on that team E
- 44:52Speaker 1: C B to one seed. Oh in college, no NBA.
- 44:57Speaker 3: So here's the Nuggets.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Yeah, he may look that up. We don't be quiet.
- 45:01Speaker 1: He looks at up.
- 45:02Speaker 3: We're waiting.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Wait, there's something significant about that.
- 45:05Speaker 3: Go ahead anyway. That was really cool. And then Dennis
- 45:07Speaker 3: Rodman Man, Dennis Rodman was freaking awesome. He played for
- 45:11Speaker 3: the Spurs a little bit, but I mean, I think
- 45:14Speaker 3: even more than anything was when I went to a
- 45:17Speaker 3: Pearl Jam concert and they were like and they probably
- 45:21Speaker 3: went through an hour and a half of the show
- 45:22Speaker 3: and then finally they go like, all right, he might
- 45:24Speaker 3: as well just come out because he's just sitting right here.
- 45:26Speaker 3: He wants to come out, Dennis Rodman, And he comes out,
- 45:29Speaker 3: picks up Eddie Vedder and sing dude. He stayed on
- 45:31Speaker 3: stage for like five or six songs until Eddi Vedder
- 45:34Speaker 3: said all right, you're doing it on stage, sitting there
- 45:36Speaker 3: smoking cigar, jamming out like just being like, oh love
- 45:39Speaker 3: that song. He get on the mic, love this song.
- 45:41Speaker 1: That's funny.
- 45:42Speaker 3: So Dennis Rodman was cool to me. And then Steve
- 45:45Speaker 3: nash Man, He's my number ten.
- 45:47Speaker 1: I just I have forgot about nash nash is a
- 45:49Speaker 1: good one.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Dude, just talk. We're talking about just a point guard,
- 45:52Speaker 3: not very tall, fast, awesome, Yeah, great point guard.
- 45:57Speaker 1: He got one in Dallas. Yeah, yeah, championship. So what's
- 46:03Speaker 1: up was Mutumbo?
- 46:05Speaker 4: It just says he did it for the first time
- 46:06Speaker 4: in ninety seven after blocking Clarence Weatherspring.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Oh. I guess I'm just asking what's on the team
- 46:10Speaker 1: that was the first eight to be to one in
- 46:12Speaker 1: the playoffs?
- 46:12Speaker 3: Oh?
- 46:13Speaker 4: I thought you were saying when he first did it.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, that was he was in ninety four.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Say again, Mike, he was in ninety four that gets
- 46:20Speaker 1: beat the Sonics first time, eighty to one. Yep, that's
- 46:23Speaker 1: what that's my memory of him.
- 46:24Speaker 3: Gotcha interesting?
- 46:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I hear mine number one? Kaylyn Clark, what are
- 46:29Speaker 1: you laughing about?
- 46:30Speaker 3: Oh? Man, that's awesome, awesome, that's awesome. I mean she's great,
- 46:37Speaker 3: she's great.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Why are you being a hater because Michael Jordan's on
- 46:40Speaker 1: your list.
- 46:40Speaker 3: That's why I'm being a hater. Michael Jordan's on your list,
- 46:43Speaker 3: but you put Kaitlyn Clarke at number one.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I number one favorite basketball player, Kaylyn Clark, You're crazy. Yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 1: Michael Jordan's not on my list.
- 46:51Speaker 3: Huh.
- 46:52Speaker 1: But Kaitlin Clark, is Kobe better be.
- 46:54Speaker 3: On your list?
- 46:55Speaker 1: He ain't, But Kaitlyn Clark, you're crazy. Number two Sudweb, Well, yeah,
- 47:02Speaker 1: spud Web was like five six five seven, won the
- 47:04Speaker 1: slam Dunk contest, was a Hawk, and I watched the
- 47:07Speaker 1: Hawks a lot because they were on TVs. Spud Web
- 47:09Speaker 1: freaking cool because I was a kid and I was little,
- 47:12Speaker 1: just because I was a kid, and I was also
- 47:13Speaker 1: a little kid, like the the same size as me.
- 47:16Speaker 1: I think it's why my dog likes kids because he's
- 47:18Speaker 1: like that same size as me. So spud Web was that,
- 47:21Speaker 1: and I was like, that's so cool.
- 47:22Speaker 3: You know that, Like so many kids were like, mom,
- 47:25Speaker 3: I could be in the NBA. Look like Web did it?
- 47:28Speaker 1: Number three Dan Marley, Yeah, the Suns, the shooting, the threes,
- 47:38Speaker 1: the what was his nickname? Thunderdan? Thunderdan was the coolest nickname.
- 47:44Speaker 3: How did you know you got thunder Dan?
- 47:47Speaker 1: I have to brough the thunder on you. I guess
- 47:49Speaker 1: they called him thunder Dan.
- 47:51Speaker 4: Yeah that's that's a white guy for sure.
- 47:52Speaker 1: That's a white guy. Okay, Yeah, so far I got
- 47:57Speaker 1: two whites and spud Web. So saving me and whites,
- 48:00Speaker 1: I have.
- 48:04Speaker 3: And a woman and a woman.
- 48:05Speaker 1: That's true. I get yeah, one of one of my
- 48:08Speaker 1: whites is a woman. Whites are like the minority, like
- 48:11Speaker 1: most of I see somebody white playing sports, I'm like
- 48:12Speaker 1: that probably sucks.
- 48:13Speaker 3: Like, yeah, that's pretty amazing.
- 48:15Speaker 1: So uh, I'll ring the bell every white, kay? Kay?
- 48:20Speaker 1: The what not? Dan Marley, that's a white Scotty Pippens
- 48:24Speaker 1: at four. Now, I did not put Jordan. But why
- 48:27Speaker 1: did I put pippin?
- 48:28Speaker 3: Because Jordan couldn't have done what he did without Pippen.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Not the reason.
- 48:32Speaker 3: Oh, because Pippen didn't get paid Jordan did.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Not the reason.
- 48:39Speaker 4: Because Pippen grew six inches in college.
- 48:41Speaker 1: That is true, but not the reason. Scotty Pippen played
- 48:44Speaker 1: the University of Central Arkansas is from Arkansas.
- 48:47Speaker 3: Okay, I didn't think about that.
- 48:49Speaker 1: So he was like one of the rare Arkansas guys
- 48:50Speaker 1: that was played. Scotty Pippens, a Arkansas guy. He did
- 48:53Speaker 1: grow six inches in college at u c A. So
- 48:55Speaker 1: a number four and number five white guy, white guy,
- 49:00Speaker 1: and I I didn't get to watch him in real time,
- 49:04Speaker 1: but I didn'tet to watch a movie about him. And
- 49:05Speaker 1: then as I've gotten older, it's been so cool. It's
- 49:07Speaker 1: pistol pet Yeah. They didn't even have a three point line.
- 49:10Speaker 1: There was no three point line. If he had a
- 49:12Speaker 1: three point line, the guy would have broken every record.
- 49:15Speaker 4: Awesome, we had to watch the same I grew up
- 49:17Speaker 4: watching that movie.
- 49:18Speaker 3: I gotta watch that movie with my kids.
- 49:20Speaker 4: So good.
- 49:20Speaker 1: He had dribble the ball outside his car going to school.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 49:23Speaker 1: Yeah, Pistol Pete was legit. Steph Curry's at six nice.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I love Steph?
- 49:28Speaker 3: Yeah? Uh, half half ring him?
- 49:30Speaker 1: Oh? Oh? Is he half white?
- 49:32Speaker 4: Light light skin?
- 49:33Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 49:33Speaker 1: Or is he just light skin.
- 49:36Speaker 3: White?
- 49:36Speaker 1: Maybe my mom might be white? You know dad's delle Curry.
- 49:38Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I think I think the bolt's light skin.
- 49:41Speaker 1: I bet his mom's white.
- 49:42Speaker 3: Okay, we'll do research and then get the bell ready.
- 49:45Speaker 3: I'll give it a half ring muted bell.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Lebron's at seven, And to me, it's not so much
- 49:54Speaker 1: on the Lebron's greatest of all time. I do think
- 49:57Speaker 1: he is. It's the fact that he is forty years
- 49:59Speaker 1: old and it is still dominant like he is. He
- 50:02Speaker 1: has taken such great care of himself. He is. He
- 50:05Speaker 1: had the highest expectations set on him of any athlete
- 50:08Speaker 1: I've ever seen in the history of athletes in sports
- 50:10Speaker 1: period in our lifetime and succeeded and eclipsed in any
- 50:14Speaker 1: of the expectations. Yeah, so to everybody, ninety percent of people,
- 50:17Speaker 1: he's one or two in the all time list. Jordan Lebron,
- 50:21Speaker 1: Some Lebron Jordan. So the fact that he had the
- 50:24Speaker 1: highest expectations I've ever seen put on an athlete and
- 50:27Speaker 1: he still surpassed them wild And he's also done it
- 50:30Speaker 1: without much controversy. Like to be under that microscope and
- 50:35Speaker 1: not really do anything wrong. Yeah, just play basketball, because
- 50:38Speaker 1: your microscope makes even regular things look wrong when it's
- 50:42Speaker 1: that in on you. And well Lebron's been like that guy.
- 50:47Speaker 1: It's awesome. So love that with Lebron A number eight.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Manut Bowl, that dude probably too. Once I started playing
- 50:54Speaker 1: two K, I did a lot of Minut Bowl and
- 50:56Speaker 1: I just block everybody shots. So I remember in Manut
- 50:58Speaker 1: Bowl being really really tall, and he was he was
- 51:03Speaker 1: he looked like a man. Yeah he was to me,
- 51:06Speaker 1: I think he was taller than to Kimba or he
- 51:08Speaker 1: was just skinnier, probably skinner.
- 51:09Speaker 3: Skinnier, and then he looked like he was taller. I
- 51:11Speaker 3: loved Minut Bowl it's pretty cool.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Number nine Muggsy bogues Ce spud Web but not a Hawk,
- 51:17Speaker 1: so I didn'tet to watch him as much. But five six,
- 51:19Speaker 1: I think he's probably the shortest player ever in the NBA.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Muggy Yeah.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Charlotte Hornet. Wow, didn't he played with Larry Johnson Alonzo
- 51:24Speaker 1: Morning those years when the Hornets were kind of cool.
- 51:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:27Speaker 1: And at number ten, white guy? Why guy? Do you
- 51:32Speaker 1: know who?
- 51:34Speaker 3: He said? Steve Nash isn't on your list? Uh? Oh,
- 51:39Speaker 3: John Stockton, No, Mike Baby, Larry Bird white.
- 51:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I didn't know fer he was white. Really, Yeah,
- 51:48Speaker 1: that was that was news to me.
- 51:49Speaker 3: I was like, she is, Yeah, that's random, but yeah,
- 51:53Speaker 3: I'm thinking about it. I didn't know that either.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I never thought. I mean, I don't just look
- 51:57Speaker 1: people identify them being but I would just never thought
- 52:00Speaker 1: who's white?
- 52:01Speaker 4: Who? Which player?
- 52:02Speaker 1: Was it?
- 52:02Speaker 4: The super Bowl where the player was like, I thought
- 52:04Speaker 4: you were black?
- 52:05Speaker 1: Do you Yeah? That happened sometimes too.
- 52:07Speaker 3: I'm just so cool you're black.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Yeah, they're just like I just thought I thought you're black.
- 52:09Speaker 3: You're so cool when they saw your name.
- 52:12Speaker 1: No, they like when the talk Larry Bird, Oh it
- 52:18Speaker 1: should have been Larry Larry Bird, Larry Bird. Now I
- 52:22Speaker 1: put Dirk down.
- 52:24Speaker 3: That's really good.
- 52:25Speaker 1: But because Derek kind of gave. But is European white, Yes, yeah, yes,
- 52:31Speaker 1: because some European doesn't have to be white.
- 52:32Speaker 4: No, Like, no, Dirk.
- 52:35Speaker 1: Was cool because Dirk was like the first European to
- 52:37Speaker 1: like open the door for Europeans to be the number
- 52:40Speaker 1: one guy. Because there are a lot of Europeans like debtless.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Sure enough, you could go through some of those guys
- 52:44Speaker 1: that came over. They were always like a good role player,
- 52:46Speaker 1: but like Dirk was legit and it was when a
- 52:48Speaker 1: lot of those European atendency started to pay off in America.
- 52:53Speaker 1: But he was fundamentally extremely sound. Yeah, and was an
- 52:57Speaker 1: all around great player. But was also the seven footer
- 53:00Speaker 1: who could shoot right, Like that was bizarre at the time. Yeah,
- 53:04Speaker 1: because he was seven foot it could shoot. But it's
- 53:06Speaker 1: how they are trained and raised in the European basketball yep,
- 53:09Speaker 1: Like everybody has to have all the skills. So Dirk
- 53:11Speaker 1: was at ten.
- 53:12Speaker 4: That's a good one.
- 53:13Speaker 1: And I was happy that he won a championship and
- 53:14Speaker 1: I was happy they beat the Big Three because I
- 53:16Speaker 1: hated Lebron. I hated Miami hated that team. Yeah, even
- 53:19Speaker 1: though later Lebron ended up being on my list, but
- 53:21Speaker 1: I didn't want that team to win it. Yeah. So
- 53:24Speaker 1: do you have favorite basketball player ever?
- 53:25Speaker 4: Yeah, Kevin Garnett's only as a Celtic, No, not only
- 53:29Speaker 4: as a Celtic all around. I think he was awesome
- 53:30Speaker 4: on the t Wolves, kind of like Randy Moss where
- 53:33Speaker 4: it's like, once he came to the Celtics, I was
- 53:34Speaker 4: so pumped, and then he's my favorite Celtic of all time.
- 53:37Speaker 4: That guy was an animal.
- 53:38Speaker 1: He was and he was also a high school kid.
- 53:41Speaker 4: Yeah that's true.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Yeah, he didn't play college basketball straight fro high school
- 53:43Speaker 1: the pros.
- 53:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:44Speaker 1: How many can you name that were good.
- 53:46Speaker 4: High school players?
- 53:47Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 53:47Speaker 1: Uh, Moses Malone's the first one I think about. It
- 53:49Speaker 1: was before me, but I know Moses Malone did not
- 53:51Speaker 1: play college ball. Dwight Howard good one.
- 53:53Speaker 3: Yeah, he didn't play college ball.
- 53:55Speaker 1: No, I went to the pro Garnet, Toby and not
- 54:00Speaker 1: even talking about the guys that did it and suck
- 54:02Speaker 1: because a lot of those guys ended up being nothing.
- 54:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:05Speaker 1: Can you think of any more top of head?
- 54:10Speaker 3: Mm hmmm.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Google.
- 54:11Speaker 3: Well, some of the international guys right, does that count?
- 54:15Speaker 1: They were like in academies and stuff like I think
- 54:18Speaker 1: Tony Parker, I don't think he went to college, but
- 54:20Speaker 1: think he was a school foreign Okay, but still came young,
- 54:25Speaker 1: still like came to America. Here we go. Here the
- 54:27Speaker 1: list of the biggest. Obviously Lebron, Yeah, but that was undertood.
- 54:32Speaker 1: I don't want to message me be like you forget about
- 54:33Speaker 1: Lebron seven times? Yes, uh so, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard.
- 54:39Speaker 1: We got those two, three and four on the list
- 54:43Speaker 1: of the most we didn't say yet, Kevin Garnett five,
- 54:46Speaker 1: Lebron six, Germaine O'Neil seven, Moses malone. But then you
- 54:52Speaker 1: get to like Kwame Brown, who kind of sucked, right, Yeah,
- 54:54Speaker 1: but that also but he also played for a terrible team. Yeah,
- 54:58Speaker 1: Andrew bind Them kind of sucked the Laker.
- 55:00Speaker 4: He had a couple good years. He thought he'd GI
- 55:02Speaker 4: me the next guy. I saw him in person one time.
- 55:04Speaker 4: The biggest human I've ever seen. Really, where at a
- 55:07Speaker 4: game I got like third row seats from somebody. Dude,
- 55:10Speaker 4: the biggest human I've ever seen.
- 55:12Speaker 1: The two we didn't mention are at three and four,
- 55:16Speaker 1: And I want to give you a hints on them.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Did Carmela Yeah, he.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Played the Circus good year. Kendrick Perkins beat Texas in
- 55:22Speaker 1: the championship. Rick Barnes Texas.
- 55:25Speaker 4: Uh, what Kendrick Perkins did he go to college?
- 55:27Speaker 1: I don't know why they're for the championship. They may
- 55:30Speaker 1: have played in the final four, but championship. Yeah, but
- 55:33Speaker 1: he played for Syracuse.
- 55:34Speaker 2: Uh.
- 55:34Speaker 1: He's out on the list, one of them I talked about.
- 55:39Speaker 1: I didn't understand how good he was until way later
- 55:41Speaker 1: because he wasn't on TV enough. But he's on the
- 55:45Speaker 1: list of people did not win a championship.
- 55:49Speaker 3: Think back, he wasn't on TV enough because he was.
- 55:52Speaker 1: The ninth overall pick in nineteen ninety seven.
- 55:59Speaker 3: He just said this.
- 56:00Speaker 2: I know.
- 56:02Speaker 1: He's on that top ten list of players that didn't
- 56:04Speaker 1: win a championship that you're like, wow, really great players
- 56:07Speaker 1: that never won a title.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Not the Rodman, oh Dominic, will No, Tracy McGrady.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Tracy Ray, and the other one. He is listed as
- 56:22Speaker 1: an American Israeli professional basketball player. I didn't know they
- 56:28Speaker 1: would list him as an American Israeli. But he was
- 56:30Speaker 1: born in Florida. You know him, you know him. He's
- 56:35Speaker 1: very famous. He was very good.
- 56:37Speaker 4: He's not playing anymore.
- 56:39Speaker 1: No, right. He was the first high school player to
- 56:41Speaker 1: win the NBA Rookie of the Year award. Oh wow,
- 56:44Speaker 1: which is pretty Yeah, but in descriptions as American Israeli,
- 56:48Speaker 1: And it will make sense once I say who it is.
- 56:49Speaker 1: But I would have never thought that.
- 56:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that whole thing throws you off for sure.
- 56:53Speaker 1: He was drafted I think nine overall. We look this up.
- 56:57Speaker 1: At age fourteen, he started to play organized basket ball
- 57:00Speaker 1: for the first time. He only played two years of
- 57:02Speaker 1: high school basketball, earned USA Today All USA Basketball First Team,
- 57:09Speaker 1: Florida's Mister Basketball, Orlando Sentinel Florida High School Player of
- 57:12Speaker 1: the Year, playing in the McDonald's All America Game. His
- 57:16Speaker 1: phenomenal skills earn a interest from colleges around the country,
- 57:18Speaker 1: but his star was on the rise. He'd gotten the
- 57:20Speaker 1: draft in two thousand and two. That's crazy. He only
- 57:22Speaker 1: played for two years, drafted nine overall and.
- 57:26Speaker 4: He only played for two years in high school. Oh,
- 57:29Speaker 4: in high school years ago. Yeah, and he's still made
- 57:32Speaker 4: the American and McDonald's.
- 57:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:35Speaker 4: I have no idea.
- 57:36Speaker 1: What other can I give you? What team?
- 57:38Speaker 4: He was drafted buyer.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Is that too obvious? He I can give you a
- 57:42Speaker 1: team he played for. Here we go one of the teams,
- 57:45Speaker 1: and I don't think this is going to give it
- 57:46Speaker 1: away more than the other team would. The Phoenix Suns.
- 57:48Speaker 1: He played for the Suns.
- 57:50Speaker 4: Sean Marion, No, not a bad guess, but Marie stotemar
- 57:55Speaker 4: correct really.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Take ninth overall? Right? At high school? I saw American. Yeah,
- 58:03Speaker 1: maybe his family his name amar A. I don't know
- 58:05Speaker 1: what the A m A R.
- 58:06Speaker 4: He was awesome, too awesome.
- 58:09Speaker 3: Who is that dude that you always beat me with?
- 58:11Speaker 3: In two K? Wally's Yeah, yeah.
- 58:16Speaker 1: Was legit. Hey yeah, I don't even know what. But
- 58:21Speaker 1: Zerbie he shoot threes like he got the white.
- 58:26Speaker 3: Yeah, Wally Man pisses me off everything.
- 58:29Speaker 1: That's fun. Just jacking threes. Okay, there you go. That
- 58:33Speaker 1: was fun. So Arkansas plays a regional in softball. They
- 58:37Speaker 1: got a really crappy draw. They were the number four
- 58:40Speaker 1: overall seed, but they in softball they will stick teams
- 58:44Speaker 1: regionally somewhat close, even if they don't really fall into
- 58:49Speaker 1: the kind of number selection. And so Oklahoma State, who's good?
- 58:54Speaker 1: Who was in the College World Series last year? Top
- 58:56Speaker 1: eight is playing in the FETELT Regional and they're only
- 58:59Speaker 1: playing in that because they're close. They would have been
- 59:01Speaker 1: in a different region because they're actually a lot better
- 59:04Speaker 1: than to have to play the So that sucks for Arkansas.
- 59:06Speaker 1: It also sucks for Oklahoma State. And we know coach Kenny,
- 59:09Speaker 1: we do so I hope coach Kenny loses.
- 59:13Speaker 3: Respectfully, Yeah, hopectfully.
- 59:15Speaker 1: I hope Arkansas and coached iPhone coach DJ Gasso win.
- 59:21Speaker 1: So how it works, there are four teams and it's
- 59:23Speaker 1: double elimination, and one team comes out of winning the four,
- 59:26Speaker 1: then they do a super Regional which is just two teams,
- 59:29Speaker 1: and Arkansas would host that if they won. Cool and
- 59:32Speaker 1: two teams play a three game series, and then from
- 59:35Speaker 1: that you go to the College World Series which is
- 59:37Speaker 1: in Oklahoma City, and there are eight teams that go
- 59:39Speaker 1: to that. Arkshall has never been to that. So we're hoping, baby,
- 59:43Speaker 1: We're hoping for an Arkansas win and then another win
- 59:45Speaker 1: in another win and get to super Regionals because I'll
- 59:48Speaker 1: go to super Regionals next week in fab Oh.
- 59:49Speaker 3: If that's the case, when can we start betting on probably.
- 59:52Speaker 1: The eight it gains to eight in Oklahoma City.
- 59:55Speaker 3: Looking forward to it.
- 59:56Speaker 1: That's what you're looking forward to, looking forward to it? Yeah,
- 59:58Speaker 1: so that's what I would be doing. Have a pick
- 59:59Speaker 1: a tournament tomorrow.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Let's go. I was wondering when you're gonna talk about this.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Here's what sucks. My first game is eight am. Oh
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: that does that sucked? The two things that suck one
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: the first games at eight am. It's doubles. So I
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: have a partner I'm playing with. And then I got
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: to email says there are two hundred people through all
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: the tournaments that are playing, and the bathrooms are broken.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Please use the bathroom before you come to the center
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: the whole day. Oh yes, what the they send any
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: emails saying eight am?
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: Time?
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: I start playing singles at like two pm.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: Okay, so I guess.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: It'll be a long day out the courts. And then
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: there's no bathrooms out there. Take a bucket. Yeah this
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: can't be legal, which I thought was weird. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: so that'll be the weekend you.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: Uh well, I wanted to go to your games due
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: but we have we have no No I did, I don't,
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: and you can't tell me not to go. If I
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: want to go watch you play, I can go watch play,
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: but I'm going to be so busy. We have basketball tournaments,
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: and then my six year old his baseball team, who
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: is terrible, like they are all. He's six, so it's
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: six through four, so.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: He probably has like I mean six through four the ages,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: so four through six. Yeah, that's a weird way to
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: say it.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: I got it. Okay, Well, I just guess I started
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: with him because he's six. But the youngest are like
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: four and five, so there are more four and five
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: year olds than six year olds. So we're pretty bad.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Our batting order kind of starts sucking after five.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Your own team is bad because you're so young.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: The Yankees.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Yeah, is he dominant though, because he's six.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: He's dominant. Dude, that's dominant. He's almost hitting home runs
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: like over the fence, it's pretty legit. And he plays first,
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: doesn't let a ball go slid by. Right. Oh, he's
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: awesome and he loves it. He looks forward to every
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: single game, like say, like the game is seven o'clock
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: Saturday night. He wakes up, puts on his uniform. That's awesome,
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: and where is it all day?
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: That's so exciting.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: It's really cool. So they've made it too. They have
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: two victories into the tournament. I think they have three
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: games left and it's winner go home, so that's gonna.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: So if you lose one, you go home. Yep, so
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: you'll probably go home after one if your team's bad.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: That's my point. They're pretty bad. But they've won the
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: last two games.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: But all the teams that are playing the better teams
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: that have also moved on.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: The tournament's been going on for like three days already,
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: and and they're winning. That's awesome, So we'll see what happens.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Good luck, go Yankees, Mike, any sports with you?
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: I'm watch Rangers Astro this weekend.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: You're going to the game now, I'm just gonna watch it. Oh, oh,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: got it. I wish I was going. You have a
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Ranger's hat on right now, so I didn't know if
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: you were actually going to the game. I almost went,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: but we ended up going home a couple of weeks ago,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: so I can't do two.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: In a row.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: He woke up, put an uniform on.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: It's just like my son.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Let's see the hat over there. Oh yeah, thank you guys.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: We will see you guys on Monday. Hope you have
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: a good weekend. Uh, good luck, dude than I was
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: gonna say, go hogs, but yeah, go me, good luck.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: You can win this whole thing, your first tournament ever,
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: you win it.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm up against. Meaning again, I've
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: only played with our group. I'm really not brought to
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: anybody knew that. I don't know. There have been some
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: guys that are come in to play that I would
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: know that it were pretty good or that got pretty
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: good as we played, But I don't know how good
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: I am. I may be terrible or what if I
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: get there and I'm awesome? Yeah dude, Like yeah, everyone
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: else get sucking endorsement deals like the scoucher there, IM awesome.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: We'll see you guys next week. Bye, Budy Eddie bows out.
