- 0:02Speaker 1: This is an unspoiled network podcast. This is spoil Me,
- 0:09Speaker 1: covering one piece episodes seven ninety seven through seven ninety nine.
- 0:16Speaker 1: We're so close to eight hundred, guys, a very exciting
- 0:20Speaker 1: round number. This episode reveals some truly wild powers that
- 0:29Speaker 1: I am so here for. I cannot wait you guys
- 0:35Speaker 1: to like see how some of this stuff gets utilized.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Because ODA does tend to keep surprises under wraps until later,
- 0:43Speaker 1: we've already got some surprises to be honest. Welcome to
- 0:49Speaker 1: spoil Me. Welcome to the show everyone. I am Natasha.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Thank you very much to Bernadette for commissioning this episode. Yeah,
- 1:17Speaker 1: this is There are so many strange psychouts in this
- 1:25Speaker 1: particular arc. What I mean is just simply like you
- 1:30Speaker 1: know we first. I mean, if you start with the
- 1:34Speaker 1: most basic stuff, you have the moment where you think
- 1:38Speaker 1: we've got the like snowfalling, no psych it's cotton candy. Actually,
- 1:47Speaker 1: you have the thing where it's like, oh, it looks
- 1:51Speaker 1: like clothes, it looks like buildings, it looks like whatever,
- 1:54Speaker 1: and it's chocolate. Actually it still apparently serves the former purpose,
- 1:59Speaker 1: but it also is chocolate. Then you've got the whole
- 2:06Speaker 1: thing with like objects that are actually possessed, I guess
- 2:11Speaker 1: is probably the best way to say it. So they
- 2:14Speaker 1: just look like ordinary trees and flowers, but like not,
- 2:17Speaker 1: they're not. They're not though. And then you've got people
- 2:23Speaker 1: in the woods that it turns out, aren't really people,
- 2:27Speaker 1: they're animals enchanted to look like people. And then you've
- 2:31Speaker 1: got this dude who's buried in the ground who looks
- 2:34Speaker 1: like he's a giant, but then he gets yanked up
- 2:36Speaker 1: out of the ground. Nope, not a giant. He's just
- 2:39Speaker 1: got a very large head. Although I would argue, I
- 2:43Speaker 1: would argue that man is so much larger than both
- 2:48Speaker 1: Nami and Loofy that I would still call him a giant.
- 2:51Speaker 1: He might be like a junior giant, fair, but like
- 2:55Speaker 1: a giant nonetheless in my opinion. But that's fine. Then
- 3:01Speaker 1: you've got broad turning up. I thought it was sort
- 3:06Speaker 1: of weird that his name was Cracker, not just because
- 3:10Speaker 1: of how hilarious it is as a nickname bearing a
- 3:15Speaker 1: lot of social weight at our current point in history,
- 3:20Speaker 1: but really, what I thought was so funny was that
- 3:23Speaker 1: everybody else has had like extremely specific dessert names that
- 3:29Speaker 1: were sort of I don't want to say, like necessarily fancy,
- 3:34Speaker 1: because pudding isn't fancy, but it's very you know, and
- 3:38Speaker 1: cracker is it's a food, yes, but it's not a
- 3:41Speaker 1: dessert specifically, And it just didn't really seem to go
- 3:45Speaker 1: with the theme, but it went just enough with the
- 3:49Speaker 1: theme that I was like, well, okay, I guess and
- 3:53Speaker 1: then finding out like, this dude isn't who it is either,
- 3:58Speaker 1: this guy is actually made of cookies, you guys like, again,
- 4:06Speaker 1: for the record, I just want to say I'm not
- 4:09Speaker 1: mad at it, not even one little bit, but it
- 4:13Speaker 1: is extremely fucking funny to me, Like what or what
- 4:18Speaker 1: everything isn't anything? And I am extremely interested on how
- 4:24Speaker 1: this is going to be carried out going forward, because
- 4:29Speaker 1: I just really don't think we've seen the last of this.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Then we've got the uh, the reveal of who Lola is,
- 4:42Speaker 1: and you guys said like, I think it was Sarah.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I'm in the chat at one point who said something
- 4:47Speaker 1: like does what's her name's face remind you of anybody?
- 4:52Speaker 1: And it did, but I just like could not put
- 4:55Speaker 1: my finger on who it was, and come to find
- 4:58Speaker 1: out that it was Lola that was who we were
- 5:01Speaker 1: seeing in her face and Lola's mom is big Mom,
- 5:11Speaker 1: so we get a very helpful flashback to Nami being
- 5:16Speaker 1: given the viaver card of Lola's mom. And this is
- 5:20Speaker 1: one of those things that you know, sometimes it'll flash
- 5:23Speaker 1: back to something that I'm like, obviously, you think I
- 5:25Speaker 1: forgot this come on show, And then there are things
- 5:28Speaker 1: like this where I'm like, no, I absolutely did not
- 5:31Speaker 1: remember this at all, And even as I am watching
- 5:34Speaker 1: the replay of it, a part of my mind is going,
- 5:37Speaker 1: this is new information. You didn't know any of this,
- 5:40Speaker 1: even though I know that's not true. So that's an
- 5:45Speaker 1: interesting development. And this dude who goes by the name Pound,
- 5:55Speaker 1: I am so sorry, guys, but bro basic Glee was
- 6:01Speaker 1: used as like a stud to get her knocked up,
- 6:06Speaker 1: and he goes by the name Pound. Like, I Am
- 6:11Speaker 1: not saying it's exactly what it looks like, but it
- 6:16Speaker 1: certainly feels like it's something that it looks like. I
- 6:20Speaker 1: don't know, is it just me, I'm just I'm just
- 6:24Speaker 1: asking questions. But yeah, he is Lola's dad, which makes
- 6:31Speaker 1: a lot of sense because he's just got some peculiarities
- 6:36Speaker 1: about his face that are specific to Lola as well.
- 6:43Speaker 1: So I'm into it. This is a fun series of reveals.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I also just really like being reminded of the friendship
- 6:51Speaker 1: that Nami has with Lola, because it's so like, it's
- 6:57Speaker 1: so infrequent that there are female characters that are kind
- 7:05Speaker 1: of side characters that we stay friends with. There are
- 7:09Speaker 1: a lot of female characters that are really crucial to
- 7:13Speaker 1: the plot that we stay friends with, but this is
- 7:17Speaker 1: a different vibe when it's somebody who's just sort of
- 7:22Speaker 1: not absolutely central to everything, and they might play a
- 7:27Speaker 1: key role in certain events or plans, but they could
- 7:31Speaker 1: have been kind of replaced by anybody. A lot of times,
- 7:35Speaker 1: those people we don't really touch base with again, and
- 7:38Speaker 1: if we do feel friendly towards them, they usually tend
- 7:41Speaker 1: to be dudes. And I was just excited about Lola,
- 7:45Speaker 1: and you guys, remember like at the time, I found
- 7:49Speaker 1: her to be really, really funny, and I want I'm
- 7:53Speaker 1: hoping that because Big Mama is her mother, she will
- 7:57Speaker 1: be coming to this event and we will get to
- 7:59Speaker 1: see her again, because she just was a great time.
- 8:04Speaker 1: In my opinion, I loved her. So Okay, let's start
- 8:09Speaker 1: at the beginning, because we I'm jumping ahead a considerable
- 8:14Speaker 1: amount on all of this stuff. So there's this weird
- 8:20Speaker 1: moment the beginning of UH seven ninety seven. I just
- 8:24Speaker 1: realized that when I did my intro, I didn't name
- 8:26Speaker 1: the episodes that I was covering. That is, I feel like,
- 8:31Speaker 1: I don't usually fuck that up so bad, but I'll
- 8:34Speaker 1: just go through them as I start to cover them.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Seven ninety seven is a top officer the Sweet three
- 8:39Speaker 1: General Cracker appears and I didn't I tried not to
- 8:45Speaker 1: read these title cards, so when he gets named Cracker
- 8:48Speaker 1: out loud, I was just fucking dying laughing. So Cracker appears,
- 8:55Speaker 1: and this dude is a real like there's a sort
- 8:59Speaker 1: of look to him that I found very like bland.
- 9:05Speaker 1: In this universe, we have got a high standard now
- 9:11Speaker 1: for the appearance of our baddies, And so when a
- 9:15Speaker 1: guy comes out and just sort of looks like a
- 9:19Speaker 1: spirit Halloween Viking, it's just whatever, you know, very much.
- 9:25Speaker 1: So anyway he steps out, all of the homies that
- 9:30Speaker 1: are looking around and like seeing that he has arrived,
- 9:34Speaker 1: are sort of like, wait, what what is he doing here?
- 9:37Speaker 1: And there's a general vibe of like, this dude is
- 9:44Speaker 1: so high level that he is almost never home on
- 9:48Speaker 1: this island, that he is always out doing big deal
- 9:52Speaker 1: shit and so for him to be in the woods
- 9:55Speaker 1: is odd. And then he does this thing that I
- 10:00Speaker 1: I didn't really understand, where he projects this light outward
- 10:06Speaker 1: and he causes a massive like crater, almost a death
- 10:13Speaker 1: of all of these trees at once, and it's unclear
- 10:20Speaker 1: to me why he even did it. It was obviously
- 10:26Speaker 1: in terms of like its narrative purpose, it's there for
- 10:29Speaker 1: us to see his ability, but it didn't really seem
- 10:34Speaker 1: to do anything for him in the moment. So I
- 10:37Speaker 1: wasn't totally sure why he needed to kill all of
- 10:42Speaker 1: these trees. It just seemed like kind of a flex
- 10:45Speaker 1: or like they were just annoyed with him, and or
- 10:48Speaker 1: he was annoyed with them because they were in his way.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So I don't know, but he does this. We cut
- 10:56Speaker 1: back to like Nami and Lufy haven't seen him yet.
- 10:59Speaker 1: He's like in the forest further away when he does this,
- 11:03Speaker 1: and eventually he does it a second time in front
- 11:05Speaker 1: of them, so we kind of like know that some
- 11:08Speaker 1: shit is coming. And I don't know exactly how this
- 11:12Speaker 1: works because this guy, it's like he has this particular ability,
- 11:17Speaker 1: but also we find out that he isn't real and
- 11:22Speaker 1: the ability that he is displaying here doesn't feel like
- 11:29Speaker 1: it falls under the what's the word I want under
- 11:35Speaker 1: the purview of the guy who ate the biscuit biscuit fruit.
- 11:41Speaker 1: So I'm not entirely certain how this works. And I'm
- 11:45Speaker 1: not sure if it was explained and I simply missed it,
- 11:49Speaker 1: or if it isn't explained yet and it will be,
- 11:52Speaker 1: or you know, if I'm supposed to be kind of
- 11:55Speaker 1: making some assumptions here, because as far as I understand,
- 12:02Speaker 1: General Cracker is a real guy, that this dude is
- 12:06Speaker 1: simply imitating using biscuits. So, and I may have that wrong.
- 12:14Speaker 1: It was sort of mixed for me, and I was
- 12:16Speaker 1: like trying to understand, but I figured I would wait
- 12:19Speaker 1: and that you guys could help me. I couldn't tell
- 12:22Speaker 1: whether it was that Biscuit's a real guy and this
- 12:24Speaker 1: dude's sort of impersonating him using biscuits, or do people
- 12:29Speaker 1: think because he says something about how like nobody has
- 12:32Speaker 1: ever seen my real face or very few people, so
- 12:37Speaker 1: is he simply like going about the world kind of
- 12:41Speaker 1: using Cracker as his avatar in life, and so everybody
- 12:48Speaker 1: thinks that General Biscuit is a real or general Cracker
- 12:51Speaker 1: is a real guy when actually he's just a biscuit man.
- 12:58Speaker 1: I maybe it's that one, but if the guy who
- 13:05Speaker 1: like makes him is using these biscuit powers, I just
- 13:13Speaker 1: don't understand how the guy, once he is created, has
- 13:21Speaker 1: what seems to be a completely separate set of abilities.
- 13:27Speaker 1: So there's nobody in the chat today. It doesn't look
- 13:29Speaker 1: like so I don't think I'm gonna get an answer
- 13:31Speaker 1: for a little bit. But uh, everybody listening, if you
- 13:34Speaker 1: want to help me with this eventually, please do so. Anyway,
- 13:39Speaker 1: he comes in, he grabs Pound by the hair and
- 13:45Speaker 1: yanks him out of the ground like he's a turnip
- 13:49Speaker 1: that this guy is just harvesting out of his little
- 13:52Speaker 1: vegetable garden. And it is revealed that this dude is
- 13:58Speaker 1: not actually a giant, that he just has a really
- 14:00Speaker 1: big head, And it turns out that he was sent
- 14:08Speaker 1: here to kill Pound, and the whole like, the whole
- 14:16Speaker 1: vibe here is that Pound. I don't know if I
- 14:19Speaker 1: want to say that he still has like feelings for
- 14:23Speaker 1: Lynnln exactly, because I feel like maybe that's too overimp
- 14:28Speaker 1: too much of an oversimplification. But I think it's more
- 14:31Speaker 1: that like he has affection still for his daughters, obviously,
- 14:36Speaker 1: because that's why he's here. He's like risking it all
- 14:39Speaker 1: to see Chiffon, who got married recently, and he wants
- 14:44Speaker 1: to give his blessing, and so he is here and
- 14:50Speaker 1: seems to just be like how to say this, It
- 14:54Speaker 1: seems like he has just sort of disappointed to the
- 14:59Speaker 1: extent of of being diluted a little bit at the
- 15:04Speaker 1: fact that evidently Big Mom not only doesn't care about
- 15:10Speaker 1: him anymore, but actively wants him to be dead. And
- 15:16Speaker 1: there's just a sense for me of like, Okay, look,
- 15:19Speaker 1: I accept that it's over between us, but like it
- 15:22Speaker 1: didn't have to be like that, though, you know what
- 15:25Speaker 1: I'm saying. And I felt bad for him because you know,
- 15:31Speaker 1: it's like the fact that she has disposed of him
- 15:37Speaker 1: and just doesn't like it's not just get him out
- 15:40Speaker 1: of here, I don't want to see him again. But
- 15:42Speaker 1: now it's like he's telling her business around. So that's
- 15:48Speaker 1: sort of the implication here is like he might have
- 15:51Speaker 1: been at one point allowed to just do his thing,
- 15:55Speaker 1: but because he had to hang out and open his
- 15:59Speaker 1: mouth and tell enemies all of this shit, he's sort
- 16:03Speaker 1: of ruined it for himself and now we have to
- 16:08Speaker 1: take you out, dude, and it's sort of your own fault,
- 16:10Speaker 1: you know. So this is when Nami hears him say Lola,
- 16:18Speaker 1: and she's thinking back, and we get the flashback to
- 16:21Speaker 1: her and Lola and her lying about being a cross dresser,
- 16:26Speaker 1: and then eventually the friendship that they have when Lola
- 16:29Speaker 1: is turned back into a person again, and then the
- 16:36Speaker 1: reminder about her giving Nami a vivercard. Now here's another thing, guys,
- 16:43Speaker 1: that I have trouble with this episode, and I really
- 16:46Speaker 1: hope that y'all can clear this up for me. Reminder again,
- 16:51Speaker 1: there'sn't anybody in the chat right now, so it's possible
- 16:54Speaker 1: that I won't get the explanation until later. I am
- 16:58Speaker 1: assuming that there is an explanation, and I am also
- 17:01Speaker 1: kind of assuming that I'm supposed to know it, but
- 17:03Speaker 1: I will admit maybe I'm wrong about that, and maybe
- 17:06Speaker 1: it's coming as an explanation later. That's the one thing
- 17:09Speaker 1: about this show that I find frustrating sometimes is that
- 17:13Speaker 1: it and I think it's the nature at this point.
- 17:17Speaker 1: It's such a long running series that I think the
- 17:19Speaker 1: author just takes it for granted. You're gonna keep watching,
- 17:24Speaker 1: You're gonna keep reading the manga, so even if he
- 17:27Speaker 1: doesn't explain things right away, you'll get there and it'll
- 17:30Speaker 1: be fine. But because events are often told out of order,
- 17:37Speaker 1: it can be really confusing how the whether or not
- 17:46Speaker 1: I'm supposed to know things, whether or not something is
- 17:50Speaker 1: just far enough behind us that I've forgotten, you know
- 17:53Speaker 1: what I mean? Because there's just so many episodes that
- 17:57Speaker 1: the assumption is both that you will definitely keep watching
- 18:01Speaker 1: and also probably that you've like watched the whole series
- 18:04Speaker 1: several times so far, so you will remember everything at
- 18:08Speaker 1: this point. And like with me covering it for the
- 18:11Speaker 1: first time, the way that I'm covering it, it can
- 18:14Speaker 1: just be a little bit tough with not just the pacing,
- 18:19Speaker 1: but the timing in which things are revealed, and so
- 18:23Speaker 1: things like this, I'll get hung up on a little bit.
- 18:29Speaker 1: But is the Viver card supposed to be like basically
- 18:37Speaker 1: a signal that Nami is either friends with Big Mom
- 18:45Speaker 1: or that she carries enough social cachet to represent Big Mom,
- 18:53Speaker 1: Because like she pulls out the Viver card and you know,
- 18:57Speaker 1: out of the gate. First of all, the viv card
- 19:00Speaker 1: has the name Lola written on it, which is very
- 19:02Speaker 1: confusing because it's not Lola's Viver card. It's from Lola,
- 19:06Speaker 1: but it's her mom's card. So I already was sort
- 19:09Speaker 1: of like, wait, hold on, did I have it wrong?
- 19:11Speaker 1: And no, I didn't. For whatever reason, it just says
- 19:14Speaker 1: Lola on it, and then the whole forest of homies
- 19:22Speaker 1: reacts really dramatically when they see it, as if Nanmy
- 19:27Speaker 1: is carrying around a heart in a cube, the way
- 19:33Speaker 1: that Caesar's heart is being kept in a cube. And
- 19:39Speaker 1: I don't know why they're reacting this way, because it
- 19:44Speaker 1: just to me, I guess it's just supposed to be that,
- 19:47Speaker 1: like a Viver card is rare enough that it's only
- 19:51Speaker 1: going to be given out to people who are important,
- 19:55Speaker 1: and so if she has one, then that must mean
- 19:58Speaker 1: that she is somebody who is very high level. But
- 20:03Speaker 1: she literally just told the story about getting this card
- 20:08Speaker 1: from Lola, So it doesn't make sense to me that
- 20:13Speaker 1: they're reacting this way when she has revealed the source
- 20:16Speaker 1: of it and has said that it wasn't big Mom
- 20:20Speaker 1: who gave it to her, it was her daughter, who's
- 20:23Speaker 1: like out and about and and you know, even if
- 20:26Speaker 1: she does have some standing, I don't get the impression
- 20:31Speaker 1: that that should have that much of an effect on
- 20:33Speaker 1: the homies that they would freak out kind of the
- 20:37Speaker 1: way that they are. So I just didn't really understand
- 20:40Speaker 1: like their reaction to this whole thing. It felt. It
- 20:44Speaker 1: felt just like incredibly over the top for what's actually
- 20:49Speaker 1: what this actually is. But anyway, I'm just realizing now, guys,
- 20:56Speaker 1: last episode, did I ever I thought that I had
- 21:00Speaker 1: covered everything, and I don't remember if I actually ever
- 21:04Speaker 1: talked about Caesar Clown and what happened with him. I
- 21:08Speaker 1: thought I had covered everything, but I'm thinking I didn't.
- 21:11Speaker 1: I'm just gonna mention it really quick now though, because
- 21:14Speaker 1: I touched on it briefly, but I don't think I
- 21:17Speaker 1: ever went into depth regarding the scene, because it turns
- 21:23Speaker 1: out that Caesar Clown his you know, Sanji was the
- 21:26Speaker 1: one who had his heart, and Sanji just tosses it
- 21:29Speaker 1: off to fucking I think Veto, and so Bro has
- 21:34Speaker 1: his heart and now there's a whole thing with uh,
- 21:39Speaker 1: oh my god. I just was saying, Caesar Clown being
- 21:42Speaker 1: forced to work on this drug that will make people
- 21:47Speaker 1: into giants, and we find out that like part of
- 21:51Speaker 1: what Big Mom is wanting, part of her goal is
- 21:56Speaker 1: that she wants everybody to be like her. She wants
- 22:04Speaker 1: all of the rest of the world to be giants
- 22:06Speaker 1: as well. In a way that's genuinely kind of sad
- 22:12Speaker 1: because it's giving lonely. You know. It's like, I think
- 22:17Speaker 1: that it's really supposed to be just that she feels
- 22:21Speaker 1: so that she's like wants people to join her in
- 22:29Speaker 1: her gluttony, and it's supposed to just be kind of
- 22:34Speaker 1: selfish seeming, and of course it is selfish seeming, like
- 22:37Speaker 1: she wants to change people into other things in order
- 22:42Speaker 1: to hang out with them, so it is selfish, but
- 22:46Speaker 1: there is something about that goal that like it was
- 22:50Speaker 1: unexpectedly sad, And every day I was watching that episode
- 22:55Speaker 1: again with my husband and he was like, as she
- 22:58Speaker 1: was saying, this is what I want for the world,
- 23:00Speaker 1: and she's showing like a dope tea party and everybody's
- 23:03Speaker 1: giant and eating food, Marshall's like, that doesn't sound bad.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Why are we fighting this? And honestly, I couldn't help
- 23:10Speaker 1: but agree. It does seem for me like maybe that's fine,
- 23:18Speaker 1: but of course we don't have a safe way to
- 23:20Speaker 1: do this. And when we're in Caesar Klan's head. You know,
- 23:23Speaker 1: what he decides to do is he had been given
- 23:30Speaker 1: apparently this assignment years earlier, and we get an amazing sequence. Honestly,
- 23:39Speaker 1: it was genuinely really funny where he is drinking with
- 23:47Speaker 1: you know, it's partying with like hot chicks, but there's
- 23:51Speaker 1: a sense a very strong like these are sex workers
- 23:56Speaker 1: or strippers, you know, because it's like we're trying to
- 23:58Speaker 1: do that sort of debauchery vibes to the scene. And
- 24:05Speaker 1: it's just really funny because there has been no hint
- 24:07Speaker 1: of this in his personality thus far, so it does
- 24:12Speaker 1: feel like it's sort of coming out of nowhere, but
- 24:15Speaker 1: evidently it's supposed to be that. Like, he wasn't entirely
- 24:19Speaker 1: squandering the money. He was actually trying to accomplish what
- 24:24Speaker 1: she wanted. However, he was not succeeding, and rather than
- 24:29Speaker 1: like continuing to push using that money, he decided to go, well,
- 24:35Speaker 1: I guess I can't do it, and then kind of
- 24:39Speaker 1: throw his hands up in the air and use up
- 24:42Speaker 1: the rest of the money for fun. So initially he
- 24:46Speaker 1: was going for it in good faith, and then he
- 24:50Speaker 1: eventually just sort of throws all of the money at
- 24:53Speaker 1: the window out the window, not at the window. So yeah,
- 24:59Speaker 1: he he doesn't have the money left and he doesn't
- 25:03Speaker 1: have anything to show for it because that gigantism drug
- 25:09Speaker 1: that he was testing on the children didn't work out
- 25:13Speaker 1: super well as we have seen, so he is calling
- 25:19Speaker 1: it a complete impossibility. In his opinion, if I couldn't
- 25:24Speaker 1: accomplish it, then it is impossible. And the way he
- 25:29Speaker 1: decides to play it is, I'm going to blame all
- 25:33Speaker 1: of the straw hats for the fact that this didn't
- 25:36Speaker 1: work out, and she won't be able to hold it
- 25:41Speaker 1: against me because I tried my best and they came
- 25:45Speaker 1: in and wreck shit. But even as he was thinking like, oh,
- 25:50Speaker 1: this is a perfect scapegoat, and I was agreeing honestly,
- 25:53Speaker 1: like the plane itself in a vacuum isn't too bad.
- 25:57Speaker 1: But all I kept thinking was yeah, but you are
- 26:00Speaker 1: standing right in front of her now, and that means
- 26:04Speaker 1: that she is going to just ask you to re
- 26:09Speaker 1: create the scenario that you just described. You are not
- 26:13Speaker 1: out of it, not by any means. And he just
- 26:17Speaker 1: is all surprised Pikachu face when she wants him to
- 26:22Speaker 1: like recreate those results with a new lab, and she
- 26:26Speaker 1: offers him unlimited funds essentially, and he knows that this
- 26:34Speaker 1: isn't something that really works, but it's under pain of death.
- 26:38Speaker 1: So he's in this predicament now where they have his heart,
- 26:43Speaker 1: and he has told her that he has gotten successful
- 26:46Speaker 1: results before. Now the thing is that it causes really
- 26:53Speaker 1: bad what do you call it, Oh, my god, detox
- 26:59Speaker 1: not exactly, but you know what I'm talking about. When
- 27:02Speaker 1: you take the drug away, the kids kind of lose it.
- 27:05Speaker 1: And so I would argue that despite the fact that
- 27:09Speaker 1: the kids lose it when they get the drug taken away,
- 27:13Speaker 1: and despite that, I would definitely call that a failure.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I think that probably Big Mom doesn't care that much,
- 27:26Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I can't help but feel
- 27:29Speaker 1: like even if it requires people to constantly take it,
- 27:34Speaker 1: if anything, the fact that this would put folks more
- 27:39Speaker 1: under her control might be a plus to Big Mom.
- 27:45Speaker 1: And I don't know, I understand why he's so worried.
- 27:50Speaker 1: I definitely get it, but I do sort of think
- 27:52Speaker 1: that it might be fine in the end, so long
- 27:57Speaker 1: as it succeeds in the first part. Are the side
- 28:01Speaker 1: effects might not matter to her? I don't know. So anyway,
- 28:09Speaker 1: I just wanted to mention that now that I was
- 28:11Speaker 1: reminded of it right here. So okay, this is again
- 28:17Speaker 1: we have Oh I forgot that there's this wild view
- 28:23Speaker 1: because the dude who shows up here, I don't remember
- 28:26Speaker 1: if we actually get his name. It's the guy that's
- 28:30Speaker 1: a rabbit and he's riding on a crane. I guess
- 28:36Speaker 1: that guy. I think the subtitle has just said Randolph
- 28:39Speaker 1: and Randolph's crane. So the crane isn't doesn't have like
- 28:44Speaker 1: a name really, but it can talk. And the two
- 28:47Speaker 1: of them are very kind of sibling ish in the
- 28:53Speaker 1: way that they behave with each other because they are
- 28:55Speaker 1: so ready to point and blame at one another if
- 28:59Speaker 1: something goes wrong. So the crane comes in hard about
- 29:06Speaker 1: to attack, and we see Cracker getting really really pissed
- 29:11Speaker 1: and yelling halt, and as he's getting angry, he is
- 29:16Speaker 1: emitting that force field again and it causes all of
- 29:21Speaker 1: the homies around him to die, and we just see
- 29:25Speaker 1: a series of like dead trees and piles of like
- 29:29Speaker 1: dirt and ash that have just the impressions of faces
- 29:34Speaker 1: where their faces used to be. It's very haunting, actually,
- 29:38Speaker 1: it's really creepy, but I don't understand exactly how this
- 29:42Speaker 1: works if it's supposed to be that he can take
- 29:45Speaker 1: back the life force. So this guy, the fact that
- 29:52Speaker 1: he's like killing homies left and right, I was sort
- 29:55Speaker 1: of feeling like, is he on her side or not?
- 29:57Speaker 1: Like it just felt inefficient. You know, We've got all
- 30:00Speaker 1: of these willing henchmen and you're taking all of them out,
- 30:06Speaker 1: and like for what reason. It doesn't even seem like
- 30:10Speaker 1: in the moment he needs to do this here either.
- 30:13Speaker 1: It almost feels like a pure reaction to Randolph jumping
- 30:19Speaker 1: in and him being pissed that Randolph is like fucking
- 30:23Speaker 1: with his just his catch. Essentially, he's like, I wanted
- 30:32Speaker 1: credit for this. How dare you you know? That's that's
- 30:36Speaker 1: the energy. It's uh, it's weird. I don't understand why
- 30:41Speaker 1: he keeps doing it. I don't understand what is happening here.
- 30:46Speaker 1: And Randolph and the Crane are extremely apologetic and are
- 30:55Speaker 1: bowing to him and asking for forgiveness and everything, and
- 30:59Speaker 1: so Noamy and Lufy are realizing like, Okay, this guy
- 31:02Speaker 1: is probably somewhat high up the food chain. And this
- 31:07Speaker 1: is when Cracker says, uh, you know how mom always
- 31:11Speaker 1: wants to say ahead of the curves. Considering straw hat
- 31:14Speaker 1: Lufy was the man who beat Do Flamingo, she assumed
- 31:18Speaker 1: Brulai would have a hard time, so she sent me
- 31:22Speaker 1: and Brulay, who is off somewhere else for the duration
- 31:27Speaker 1: up till now, is apparently making her way over, and
- 31:31Speaker 1: she turns up as soon as he says this, She's like,
- 31:35Speaker 1: excuse me, did I fucking hear you right? Did you
- 31:39Speaker 1: say that she thought I was going to have a
- 31:42Speaker 1: hard time? And it is wild, dude, because she comes
- 31:48Speaker 1: out and it's like, you see her face, you see
- 31:51Speaker 1: her actual face, but then you see what almost looked
- 31:55Speaker 1: like tentacles or something. And it turns out that this
- 32:00Speaker 1: is a separate character, a tree king Baum, the master
- 32:06Speaker 1: of the Seducing Woods. And I don't know if it's
- 32:11Speaker 1: just that he was like formed early on in the
- 32:16Speaker 1: creation of the Seducing Woods, and so he was made.
- 32:21Speaker 1: He was one of the first made from people's soul pieces,
- 32:24Speaker 1: and that's why he just happens to be in charge
- 32:27Speaker 1: now by default kind of. But I couldn't tell if
- 32:32Speaker 1: he was just a homie like the others, or if
- 32:34Speaker 1: he was his own being. And yeah, let's see I'm
- 32:43Speaker 1: trying to the moment where he's talking about, yeah, that
- 32:47Speaker 1: she sent more than one because she knew that nobody
- 32:50Speaker 1: should be let like nobody should walk out of this
- 32:55Speaker 1: forest alive, and so we need to cover all of
- 32:57Speaker 1: our bases. But Brulay, Yeah, she is very cranky at
- 33:02Speaker 1: the fact that her abilities were doubted, despite apparently that
- 33:09Speaker 1: being correct. Now, I you know, I say that, but
- 33:13Speaker 1: I will cop to the fact that, like she's captured too.
- 33:16Speaker 1: So far, she's got Chopper, she's got Carrot, and I
- 33:21Speaker 1: could see her feeling like if you'd given me a second,
- 33:25Speaker 1: I would have gotten to the rest of them too.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I just didn't get a chance. But uh, the thing
- 33:32Speaker 1: that's being mentioned here over and over is just the
- 33:35Speaker 1: fact that, like we've got this wedding coming up. It's
- 33:39Speaker 1: only like a day away at this point, maybe still
- 33:42Speaker 1: two days, but like you know, the clock is ticking,
- 33:45Speaker 1: and it means a lot to Big Mom to get
- 33:51Speaker 1: this alliance in place. So it's not even necessarily like
- 33:59Speaker 1: we didn't think you could do it. It was more
- 34:01Speaker 1: so even we didn't know if you would be able
- 34:05Speaker 1: to get it done in time. So at this point,
- 34:10Speaker 1: bruleat first of all, she like releases all of the
- 34:12Speaker 1: animals that were enchanted to look like straw hats, and
- 34:17Speaker 1: so they all run off. I want to mention too, guys,
- 34:20Speaker 1: that I had asked about her mirror in a previous episode,
- 34:27Speaker 1: and here it turns up and it's like that she
- 34:32Speaker 1: can just make mirrors out of nothing with her bare hands.
- 34:36Speaker 1: So I had somehow missed that last time. I think
- 34:38Speaker 1: that I just thought when she gestured that she was
- 34:45Speaker 1: pulling a mirror that she carried with her out of somewhere,
- 34:48Speaker 1: and I wasn't realizing that she was creating a portal. Really,
- 34:55Speaker 1: it's like it's it's I don't even really want to
- 34:58Speaker 1: call it a mirror exactly, because it feels too versatile
- 35:05Speaker 1: for that, but uh, I think it just I will
- 35:10Speaker 1: just call it that for the sake of simplicity. And
- 35:14Speaker 1: she holds up the mirror that has Carrot and Chopper
- 35:18Speaker 1: in there, and we eventually get to go inside the
- 35:23Speaker 1: mirror where they are, and I was pretty stoked with
- 35:26Speaker 1: this because it just seemed like a cool opportunity. I
- 35:32Speaker 1: don't really know where we're going to wind up with it,
- 35:37Speaker 1: but I really thought that the idea of them being
- 35:41Speaker 1: in a different world where maybe they could do something.
- 35:45Speaker 1: I don't know what kind of possibilities there are, whether
- 35:49Speaker 1: if you're being held by somebody's devil fruit ability, maybe
- 35:54Speaker 1: you're going to be very limited, you know, on what
- 35:57Speaker 1: it is that you're able to do. But I did
- 36:01Speaker 1: find it really funny that we hop in there with them,
- 36:04Speaker 1: because I should have seen it coming and I didn't,
- 36:06Speaker 1: and it was just another moment of me being like, God,
- 36:09Speaker 1: I am not exercising my not my intelligence even but
- 36:15Speaker 1: my imagination, I guess to its full capacity, and I
- 36:18Speaker 1: really need to up my game on that. So anyway,
- 36:24Speaker 1: they like, we don't get a lot when they are inside.
- 36:27Speaker 1: We just sort of get them trying to explore because
- 36:29Speaker 1: there are other mirrors around and they're trying to figure
- 36:32Speaker 1: out what they do and just sort of exploring, and
- 36:37Speaker 1: there's not a lot of forward progress on that. But
- 36:40Speaker 1: you know, we're beginning the move. So Okay, this is
- 36:47Speaker 1: when I'm still in the first episode, but I have
- 36:50Speaker 1: been jumping around a ton guys, so I'm sorry, but
- 36:53Speaker 1: this is when Cracker goes to decapitate Pound and Loofy
- 37:00Speaker 1: jumps in and uses his hockey on his leg to
- 37:03Speaker 1: stop the blade of the sword and keep him from
- 37:06Speaker 1: getting sliced up. And as the fight begins between Loofy
- 37:14Speaker 1: and Cracker there's that force emanating off of Cracker again.
- 37:21Speaker 1: It's like the way it's animated is these sort of
- 37:24Speaker 1: streaks and black lines, and the implication keeps being to
- 37:29Speaker 1: me that like it's going to kill the things around him,
- 37:33Speaker 1: but they're not always killed. It seems like it has
- 37:36Speaker 1: to reach a certain pitch before everything within range dies.
- 37:41Speaker 1: And when he starts doing it, they don't automatically begin
- 37:45Speaker 1: to flee because I guess they just assume it's not
- 37:49Speaker 1: always going to result, you know, I don't know.
- 37:52Speaker 2: But there they're splitting up here and is running is
- 38:02Speaker 2: fighting with Cracker while Nami runs off with Pound, and
- 38:07Speaker 2: those streaks are happening, and she pulls out the Viaver
- 38:11Speaker 2: card and this is when like Pound has a strong
- 38:15Speaker 2: reaction to her having the Viaver card, and.
- 38:19Speaker 1: When she turns around, there's like a purple light coming
- 38:25Speaker 1: off of it. In I think it's Brulai that says,
- 38:31Speaker 1: what's come over all of you? Because everybody stops dead
- 38:34Speaker 1: and holds their hands up like, oh shit. But Brulay
- 38:38Speaker 1: doesn't seem to know why they're behaving this way. It's
- 38:41Speaker 1: everybody else, it's all the homies and King baumb so
- 38:44Speaker 1: I guess he is a homie. And he says we
- 38:48Speaker 1: can't proceed and it's spelled p r o hyphen seed
- 38:54Speaker 1: as a little all right, fine, homie can't disoacbey her.
- 39:03Speaker 1: It's treason. Oh my god, I didn't have the uh
- 39:08Speaker 1: subtitles on when I watch this, and I am just
- 39:11Speaker 1: getting to see all of the puns because of them
- 39:14Speaker 1: now that I'm recording, and that is excessive. Calm down.
- 39:18Speaker 1: We sense mama's soul and again, you guys, is this
- 39:26Speaker 1: the way that like it's Is it just her fever card?
- 39:30Speaker 1: Is that why? Because like we've seen favorite cards before
- 39:34Speaker 1: and there's been no mention that people's souls are in them.
- 39:37Speaker 1: But she has the ability to like do things with souls.
- 39:42Speaker 1: So did she impart her soul into her views? And
- 39:45Speaker 1: why would she do that? What additional benefit does it give?
- 39:49Speaker 1: Is it simply things like this where it's an additional
- 39:52Speaker 1: sense of authority? It's just it's I guess, I guess
- 40:00Speaker 1: it's just That's what it comes down to, is that
- 40:02Speaker 1: her vever car just functions differently than everybody else is
- 40:05Speaker 1: because she's done this with it. So anyway, another moment,
- 40:13Speaker 1: we go over to uh Loofy and Cracker has killed
- 40:17Speaker 1: a bunch more homies. Again I don't really get it,
- 40:22Speaker 1: and he also can grow more arms and more legs
- 40:26Speaker 1: and he is just shivaing it up really hard here
- 40:30Speaker 1: coming at Loofy and Loofy ish put through his paces
- 40:36Speaker 1: a little bit more than I was expecting. I just
- 40:40Speaker 1: didn't think it would be at all a close match
- 40:44Speaker 1: between him and the Sky. And granted, like he does
- 40:47Speaker 1: win in the end, but I just thought Lufy would
- 40:50Speaker 1: put him down much much more quickly. There is back
- 40:57Speaker 1: and forth with him where he is using hot as well,
- 41:01Speaker 1: and as this fight is going on, Nami is talking
- 41:05Speaker 1: to Brule and Brulet is telling the story about how
- 41:09Speaker 1: Big Mom was able to take down basically every big
- 41:15Speaker 1: player and either kill them or get them to join her,
- 41:20Speaker 1: and she mentions that Beije Capone is one of the
- 41:26Speaker 1: only ones that like understood the danger that he was
- 41:29Speaker 1: in and threw in with Big Mom, and everybody else
- 41:32Speaker 1: tried to defy her and wound up getting taken out,
- 41:37Speaker 1: And we cut over to a scene where it's Cracker
- 41:41Speaker 1: versus I can't remember the guy's name, but he's got
- 41:45Speaker 1: the uh. He's shirtless with the like big red beads
- 41:49Speaker 1: around his neck and a sort of like Samoan look
- 41:53Speaker 1: to him. And he's always weird to me, because like
- 41:56Speaker 1: his expression ever changes from this wide smile, even when
- 42:00Speaker 1: he's in the middle of a fight, even when he's
- 42:02Speaker 1: like hurt, he's still grinning and like complimenting the dude.
- 42:09Speaker 1: And he gets taken down in the end, of course,
- 42:16Speaker 1: Rele says something about she sent brother Cracker to finish
- 42:21Speaker 1: the job. Your friend has nowhere to run. Imagine he
- 42:26Speaker 1: must be taking his last breath by now, and it
- 42:30Speaker 1: will never cease to make me laugh. How confident everybody
- 42:35Speaker 1: always is when it comes to Loofy, as if absolutely
- 42:39Speaker 1: everybody didn't, along the way also think that they could
- 42:44Speaker 1: take Loofy down no problem. They always think this, and
- 42:47Speaker 1: they are always wrong, and it's just embarrassing how frequently
- 42:54Speaker 1: they think this is not going to be a challenge.
- 42:58Speaker 1: You are so boring. You just keep making the same
- 43:01Speaker 1: mistake as everybody else. I want there to be a
- 43:07Speaker 1: bit of I'm trying to think of the word, I
- 43:10Speaker 1: guess kind of like a meta moment. I want there
- 43:14Speaker 1: to be a conversation with a bad guy and one
- 43:19Speaker 1: of the straw hats where they basically say what I've
- 43:21Speaker 1: just said, like, you are not only are you wildly
- 43:26Speaker 1: underestimating him, but you sound just like every other person
- 43:32Speaker 1: that we have already defeated. And I cannot tell you
- 43:35Speaker 1: how bored I am by this, because you are that
- 43:38Speaker 1: unoriginal and that diluted. Everybody thinks they can take him
- 43:43Speaker 1: down and we're still fucking here. So you know, I
- 43:49Speaker 1: don't know, guys, I just I want that to be
- 43:53Speaker 1: used as an insult because it just seems to me
- 43:57Speaker 1: like there has to be somebody out there who is
- 44:04Speaker 1: a villain who wants to take movie down, but who
- 44:07Speaker 1: also has some self awareness around the whole thing. And
- 44:12Speaker 1: that's like some of what I'm missing, I think from
- 44:16Speaker 1: the villains in this show in general. It's not like
- 44:20Speaker 1: it never happens, but it's sort of it's rare enough.
- 44:26Speaker 1: Most of the villains have the same kind of speech
- 44:30Speaker 1: about how like, yeah, you've come a long way and
- 44:33Speaker 1: you've done some crazy things, and good for you, but
- 44:37Speaker 1: now you've reached the end of the road. You really
- 44:40Speaker 1: thought that you could come at me. You could do
- 44:43Speaker 1: this in my house. It's always the same sort of
- 44:47Speaker 1: energy of like, finally it's over for you, even though
- 44:53Speaker 1: this whole time when everybody thought that it was never over.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Now it is for real. And I want there to
- 44:59Speaker 1: be some who goes up against Loofy and expresses repeatedly,
- 45:06Speaker 1: this guy is not to be underestimated. I Am not
- 45:10Speaker 1: going to make the mistake of cockily declaring he has
- 45:15Speaker 1: met his match, because everybody has said that, and everybody
- 45:19Speaker 1: has been beaten. So obviously the common wisdom about what
- 45:27Speaker 1: this goofball is capable of and how much of a
- 45:30Speaker 1: threat he actually poses is wrong. Otherwise he wouldn't be here.
- 45:36Speaker 1: So maybe we should take this shit more seriously and
- 45:39Speaker 1: look at what he has accomplished thus far, not as
- 45:43Speaker 1: if it's a fluke and that he got here by accident,
- 45:47Speaker 1: but that the series of victories that he has won
- 45:52Speaker 1: over time is all due to the fact that he
- 45:56Speaker 1: himself is powerful and he has powerful friends who work
- 46:00Speaker 1: well together. I want there to be a villain who
- 46:03Speaker 1: like feels like he's a little nervous, you know, that
- 46:07Speaker 1: is looking at Lufy's track record and is sort of like, oh,
- 46:11Speaker 1: damn all right, guys, I need this to be taken
- 46:17Speaker 1: seriously by all of you and me. If there's like
- 46:22Speaker 1: some lowered on the hierarchy folks who are like, uh,
- 46:29Speaker 1: my boss, he really thinks this idiot kid is somebody
- 46:33Speaker 1: that's fine. But you know, there's just a sort of
- 46:38Speaker 1: swagger that everyone has had about really just not thinking
- 46:43Speaker 1: Lufy's going to be any sort of problem. And I
- 46:48Speaker 1: understand that like to a degree, people don't get to
- 46:52Speaker 1: be huge, powerful villains without having a type of confidence
- 47:00Speaker 1: that a rational person doesn't have or at least isn't
- 47:05Speaker 1: a slave too. But I would also say that there
- 47:10Speaker 1: is something too. If you're going to be this powerful,
- 47:15Speaker 1: like on Big Mom's level, where she controls a series
- 47:19Speaker 1: of islands and where she's got lots of people who
- 47:23Speaker 1: are under her employ this is somebody who needs to
- 47:29Speaker 1: be better at their job and more conscious of their limitations,
- 47:36Speaker 1: and that's how they got there. You know. I just
- 47:40Speaker 1: don't think that you can rain this long and be
- 47:46Speaker 1: either foolishly overconfident or incompetent. And yeah, so anyway, that's
- 47:54Speaker 1: my kind of wish list here. But anyway, so we
- 47:59Speaker 1: get this weird moment where Brulay, she like disappears and
- 48:08Speaker 1: Nammy is watching her, like where did she what? Where
- 48:11Speaker 1: did she go? And there's just a mirror that comes
- 48:14Speaker 1: and falls at her feet and Brulay, it turns out,
- 48:19Speaker 1: is in there and this she grabs Nmmy by the
- 48:26Speaker 1: ankles and drags her in like toward the mirror, and
- 48:32Speaker 1: she causes Nammy to drop her her climatetacked staff. So
- 48:40Speaker 1: you know, Nammy had been able to do a couple
- 48:43Speaker 1: of cool things because of that, but then it gets
- 48:47Speaker 1: totally scooped out from under her, and uh, the dude
- 48:53Speaker 1: Pound saves Nommy. He grabs her and yanks her away
- 48:58Speaker 1: just before she gets into the mirror world, and Nammy
- 49:04Speaker 1: is able to get a hold of her climate tacked
- 49:09Speaker 1: staff again, and Zap's Brulay with thunderbolt tempo, and I
- 49:18Speaker 1: was sort of surprised at how effective this is. Brulay
- 49:22Speaker 1: like screams to high Heaven. We have a long slow
- 49:26Speaker 1: mo of her hair sticking out and all these lightning
- 49:29Speaker 1: bolts and everything, and then she sinks into the mirror
- 49:33Speaker 1: and Namy is sort of like, hey, not too bad
- 49:36Speaker 1: if I say so myself, And I was like, girl,
- 49:39Speaker 1: I don't know what you're thinking about. That bitch is
- 49:41Speaker 1: not dead, Like she's got smoke pouring out of her
- 49:43Speaker 1: mouth and everything. Sure, And right after that, Pound says,
- 49:47Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh, she'll be back, And NAMMY's like genuinely,
- 49:51Speaker 1: what really? And I was like, girl, that's never Yeah,
- 49:57Speaker 1: of course nobody dies that easy in this if only.
- 50:01Speaker 1: I'm kind of glad she's not dead, to be honest,
- 50:03Speaker 1: because Brulee is so weird and I really enjoy her
- 50:08Speaker 1: role in everything. But yeah, he says that her ability
- 50:14Speaker 1: lets her appear pretty much any place that has a mirror,
- 50:18Speaker 1: which is a That's one of those things that I
- 50:22Speaker 1: find really unnerving. There is a line that appears once
- 50:29Speaker 1: really early in Dressed and Files and then later on
- 50:32Speaker 1: again that I found haunting enough that it made me
- 50:36Speaker 1: surprised it doesn't come up more. But he says something
- 50:40Speaker 1: about how he doesn't keep mirrors in his apartment because
- 50:44Speaker 1: too many people can use them as windows or even doors,
- 50:51Speaker 1: and you know, there are all kinds of creatures out
- 50:54Speaker 1: there that are able to and I just like found
- 50:57Speaker 1: that so incredibly spooky. I was very much like, Nope,
- 51:02Speaker 1: don't like that. So her having this ability, it's like
- 51:07Speaker 1: almost on par with beings that can use shadows to
- 51:11Speaker 1: spy or to travel or whatever, you know, Like that's
- 51:15Speaker 1: something that I've always found extremely unnerving, and I am
- 51:21Speaker 1: looking forward to seeing her again and seeing her pop
- 51:24Speaker 1: up because I'm probably gonna be hyper aware of if
- 51:28Speaker 1: there are windows or mirrors in the backgrounds of any
- 51:32Speaker 1: scenes and just sort of low key waiting for her
- 51:35Speaker 1: to appear every time I see one. Anyway, Okay, so
- 51:43Speaker 1: I feel like I've kind of talked through everything in
- 51:47Speaker 1: this episode. The first one ends with like Nami brandishing
- 51:57Speaker 1: the Viver card and being extremely certain that none of
- 52:01Speaker 1: the homies are going to take up against her because
- 52:03Speaker 1: they have to follow her orders now because she has this. Again,
- 52:08Speaker 1: just because she's got a piece of her soul doesn't
- 52:14Speaker 1: mean that Big Mom would want them, Like is this
- 52:17Speaker 1: just having this put Big Mom in danger in any way?
- 52:21Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know. But anyway, so the
- 52:24Speaker 1: second episode is taken up in great part by the
- 52:29Speaker 1: fight between Loufy and or No this is that was
- 52:34Speaker 1: the second episode. I'm so sorry by the fight between
- 52:37Speaker 1: Lufy and Cracker, and then all out duel Is when
- 52:42Speaker 1: we finally get to see him come to the surface,
- 52:47Speaker 1: the dude who is actually running these weird bodies, and
- 52:53Speaker 1: it's a result of Lufy going to fourth gear? Is
- 52:57Speaker 1: it fifth gear? I'm trying to remember which is the
- 52:59Speaker 1: one where he like bounces the way that he does
- 53:02Speaker 1: guys this whole thing with the bouncing. I wish I
- 53:07Speaker 1: could remember what it is that it's reminding me of.
- 53:09Speaker 1: It's driving me nuts. There is something both in the
- 53:14Speaker 1: face and in the stance that is extremely familiar, and
- 53:22Speaker 1: I can't put my finger on it, but it's part
- 53:24Speaker 1: of what's cracking me up so bad. And like the
- 53:27Speaker 1: argument before Cracker vanishes here that he is making to
- 53:31Speaker 1: Loofy is basically, if you really cared about your friend Sanji,
- 53:39Speaker 1: you would let him get married because he's better off
- 53:43Speaker 1: with his great standing from the academy or from the
- 53:48Speaker 1: act why did I say academy from the organization. He
- 53:54Speaker 1: will live in the lap of luxury, he will have
- 53:56Speaker 1: all these privileges, you know, all this sort of thing,
- 53:59Speaker 1: and you and your friends are trashy, low class nothing's
- 54:06Speaker 1: and you don't really fit in with him because he
- 54:11Speaker 1: is part of a really wealthy, powerful, famous family. So
- 54:17Speaker 1: it's actually sort of pathetic that you think he's gonna
- 54:22Speaker 1: stay your friend and gives a shit about you when
- 54:25Speaker 1: there's absolutely no benefit to him in remaining a straw
- 54:29Speaker 1: hat in comparison to marrying this woman and being accepted
- 54:33Speaker 1: into Big Mom's organization. And it's just the kind of
- 54:40Speaker 1: thing that is the exact wrong argument. I can't emphasize
- 54:45Speaker 1: enough how much this is not the tack to try
- 54:50Speaker 1: and pull with Loofy. It's just not going to work.
- 54:56Speaker 1: It's just not going to work. But sure, of course
- 55:00Speaker 1: Lufy is all the more determined to like take this
- 55:03Speaker 1: guy down because Sonji would never fucking talk to us
- 55:07Speaker 1: that way. You don't know him at all, you don't
- 55:09Speaker 1: know what's best for him. And he eventually flattens Cracker
- 55:18Speaker 1: and then there's this moment where his head flies off,
- 55:22Speaker 1: and I'm like, wait what because he's in literal pieces
- 55:26Speaker 1: but there's no blood really, and so I'm like, hold on,
- 55:31Speaker 1: hold on, wait, what's going on here? And then you
- 55:34Speaker 1: see a couple of hands clasping the edges of the
- 55:39Speaker 1: of like the inside of the torso, and this guy
- 55:42Speaker 1: pulls himself up so it's like he made a mech
- 55:45Speaker 1: suit out of cookies and he says, I'll admit that
- 55:53Speaker 1: impressed me. Well done breaking my armor. And he has
- 55:59Speaker 1: this weird thing with his hair where it's there's three
- 56:05Speaker 1: kind of ponytails that stick straight out, but one of
- 56:09Speaker 1: them is flashing like a fuse that slit. And he
- 56:18Speaker 1: is the one. He can do all of these different
- 56:22Speaker 1: biscuit based defenses. And I am extremely curious to see
- 56:30Speaker 1: more of this, because I mean, first of all, all
- 56:35Speaker 1: of this being made out of cookies, it's just rat
- 56:38Speaker 1: as hell. I wish this guy wasn't so like goofy looking,
- 56:41Speaker 1: but what can you do. He consumed the biscus fruit
- 56:47Speaker 1: instead of biscuit biscuit fruit, But yeah, he can make
- 56:51Speaker 1: like powder and thus fog out of biscuits that sort
- 56:56Speaker 1: of coalesce into these other beings and it's like they're
- 57:01Speaker 1: not He can make them move, I guess. But he
- 57:05Speaker 1: was only fighting as the one guy initially, but yeah,
- 57:09Speaker 1: I can duplicate them as many times as I desire.
- 57:14Speaker 1: And all of these dudes are sort of behind him,
- 57:19Speaker 1: menacing Loofy, and he says, now do you see why
- 57:23Speaker 1: you will never see Vince smoke Sanji again? And Lufi
- 57:27Speaker 1: is sweating. I will say it doesn't seem like he's
- 57:30Speaker 1: not worried at all. But I mean, if anybody thought
- 57:33Speaker 1: that he was going to give up, you've never even
- 57:35Speaker 1: heard of Lufy. Come on now, dude. And the episode
- 57:40Speaker 1: ends with him just saying, I'm gonna see Sanjy. You're wrong,
- 57:45Speaker 1: and that's the end of the third episode. Now, the
- 57:49Speaker 1: one thing that I haven't touched on. There are two things. Actually.
- 57:53Speaker 1: One we touch base briefly with Sanjy at the window,
- 57:58Speaker 1: and there's like a butterfly that comes to him. I
- 58:02Speaker 1: don't know because he gets a sudden surprised expression when
- 58:06Speaker 1: it touches his skin, as if it looked like a
- 58:09Speaker 1: regular butterfly until he felt it and then he realized
- 58:13Speaker 1: it was something more. So I am really curious whether
- 58:19Speaker 1: or not this is something from like putting if she
- 58:21Speaker 1: was able to send him a message somehow, but I
- 58:25Speaker 1: didn't think that she really had any like superpowers like this,
- 58:29Speaker 1: so it must be something that maybe we haven't seen yet.
- 58:33Speaker 1: Although the butterfly is a really what's her name? The
- 58:38Speaker 1: poisoned girls thing, So maybe this is a message from
- 58:41Speaker 1: his sister because she has sort of seemed like the
- 58:44Speaker 1: weaklink in his family, you know, the one person that's
- 58:48Speaker 1: apparently sympathizes with him a bit more than other people do.
- 58:54Speaker 1: But uh that we don't really get any clothes. And
- 59:00Speaker 1: then we go over to Brooke and uh Pedro again
- 59:05Speaker 1: and they are just doing some reconcept. There's a point
- 59:09Speaker 1: where he's Brooke is asking Pedro like, what's the security
- 59:13Speaker 1: like as they approach a whole cake palace I think
- 59:19Speaker 1: it's called the palace or chateau. I think it's chateau,
- 59:25Speaker 1: And when he says, like, what's the security like, he says, though,
- 59:28Speaker 1: it's it's fiercely guarded by biscuit soldiers. And there's a
- 59:32Speaker 1: little pause, and then Brooke goes so like cookies and
- 59:39Speaker 1: you guys, his delivery never fails. It is so fucking funny,
- 59:45Speaker 1: and it's like he's reading my mind too, you know
- 59:48Speaker 1: the way he says it of just like do I
- 59:51Speaker 1: have this right? Is that? Okay? You know? Oh my god,
- 59:56Speaker 1: it kills me. It's so good. But yeah, yeah, not
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: a lot of for we're just sort of touching base
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: with them to see where they are, and there's not
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: a lot happening with them yet, so so okay, I'm
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: going to wrap this up. But I'm really really enjoying
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: this section, y'all, I really am. I'm looking forward to
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: seeing where we're going because it has all been really
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: interesting and full of surprises. So thank you again everybody
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: for listening, Thank you Bernadette for commissioning this one, and
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: until next time to the lou Motherfuckers was an Unspoiled
