Mara MacDonell has a Masters of Environmental Science from Yale, where she grew her interest for community development, natural resource management, science education, outdoor recreation and environmental justice, with a particular focus on rural communities adjacent to public lands. Mara grew up near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northern Minnesota and has spent significant time in Telluride, CO.
