And we're going to finish out this month's topic with ⁓ prayer and how we bring that into ⁓ what our next step should be when we have been encouraged and recommended to, ⁓ you to go through the process or the procedure of IUI or IVF. So what I want us to do first is ⁓ just invite Lord into the space and invite Him ⁓ to speak you and to speak to your heart. Right now so let's let's do that Jesus. We just come before you and We invite you into the space I give you the mic Lord. I pray you would speak through me directly to my sister you ⁓ and that you Give the words to her that she needs to hear that her soul her emotions and her heart and her body need to hear Lord I pray that she would feel seen she would feel heard. I pray that she would feel loved and she would be given discernment just from episode and message ⁓ for her step and that it would push her to sincere prayer in you, ⁓ with her and that you ⁓ would show them what that next step is for them. I pray all things in the holy, mighty, powerful name of Jesus, amen. So ⁓ inside of my program Fertility Framework, we have a Bible study. And we study different women in the Bible and their fertility journeys. And we study women who handle their fertility journeys really well and women who did not and what we can learn from them. And I thought that I wanted to, it would be so fitting to highlight one of those women in episode. So we talk about Ruth. And whenever we about Ruth, she certainly is not one that comes to mind when we think of a fertility story and a fertility journey. But if you read the book of Ruth, it's quite interesting because we all know that she was at first married to ⁓ her husband for 10 years ⁓ and then he died. And what's interesting that we often don't think about ⁓ she does not have any children ⁓ in first marriage that she had for 10 years. And it's interesting because that might indicate like ⁓ she probably was fertile at that time. And who knows what she was wrestling with ⁓ and spiritually with that outcome of probably wanting to grow her family and wanting to, you know, wanting to bear children. But ⁓ that was in the cards for her. And ⁓ I like just try to put ourselves in Ruth's shoes. And quite honestly, you probably feel like you're in Ruth's shoes. ⁓ If you're this journey in this land of wanting to become pregnant and wanting to stay pregnant and wanting to carry a healthy pregnancy full term and have and birth your child and hold your child and raise up your child for God's kingdom. Like that, I know that's your, the desire of your heart. ⁓ if we think back on Ruth, like that was probably her desire too. ⁓ she was waiting for 10 years and never got what, pretty much all Israelite woman would have wanted was a child to grow the family and to carry on the husband's family name. And she wasn't given that. you know, we think about that and we're like, ⁓ man, that's so sad. It's so hard. And her time and space of going through that, we don't know what she was thinking, but ⁓ man, can empathize because that's what we're going through. And we don't know what's on the other side of our story, but we do know. ⁓ what's on the other side of Ruth's story. And it's so much more marvelous than we could have planned ourselves or we could have imagined ourselves. So she suffered and she longed and she did not have a child for 10 years and then her husband died. And the tragedy of that to not have a reminder of him is so sad. you know, to not have a reminder of him through a child that they would have had together. And in this deep sorrow and deep suffering, she chose God. She chose to honor the God of her husband and her mother-in-law, Naomi. she chose to be faithful. I mean, if we kind of think about this ⁓ moment ⁓ you know, after her husband died and Naomi was going to go back ⁓ her hometown and Ruth, was faced with, I go with Naomi to this new place that I'm not familiar with, or do I stay here with my family and with my friends and with my people? ⁓ this was a fork in the road for her after all that she'd been through. And she chose the hard, she chose the unknown, she chose the scary, she chose God, she chose to remain faithful to the God that she knew was a faithful God. And that was the fork in the road and she chose that hard unknown thing. man, did the Lord bless that choice. ⁓ Did so bless Ruth in ⁓ for her, ⁓ in meeting ⁓ the guardian of the family, and then her husband, and then making her heir ⁓ in the line of Jesus Christ. In fact, her grandson was David. she became the grandmother ⁓ David. She ⁓ became with Boaz. I know I'm kind of jumping around, but it's just like, it's just incredible. She became pregnant with ⁓ Boaz they became married, and that child, I mean, he was the promised one, you know? And then that child became the father to King David. And ⁓ then Ruth's name is forever remembered. And she got bear this special, special, special child ⁓ would be in the lineage of the Messiah himself. ⁓ I don't think ⁓ that is something she could have comprehended or thought of when she was back in those hard years of getting pregnant and not being fertile. But the thing is, is that ⁓ What we want to remember is God knew the whole timeline of Ruth's story before it ever happened. Before it ever came to be, he knew every day of her life. He knew the hard days. He knew the sorrowful days. He knew the long years. He knew the tragedy she would face when she lost her first husband. And he knew how he would be the combat guy and the redeemer of her. and provide for her in such an incredible way and elevate her in such an incredible way that she would be one of the few women in the lineage of our Messiah that is named. He knew that all along and Ruth didn't. And you guys, I want us just to remember that God knows our story and he's known it all along. He's known it from the moment that you were conceived in your mother's womb. He's known the hard days that you would have. He's known the tears that you would shed. He's known the seasons and the hard years questions and doubts and wondering. And he knows what's on the other side for you. And we've seen him ⁓ good. And we've seen him be faithful. And we've seen it that it's not always in our timeline or in our way. And most often it's in his timeline, in his way. and for his glory. it's going to be different than what we would have ever thought of, but it's going to be so much more marvelous than we could have ever comprehended or imagined. And I know in 20 years from now, we're gonna look back and be like, ⁓ that's what happened. That's what he had in mind. And I'm glad that I stuck to him and that I was faithful to him in this process. So. So that is the big story that I wanted to walk you through today to encourage you through Ruth and through her story and her timeline for your story and your timeline. So ⁓ get to today's point, prayer. ⁓ how do we choose our next step? Like I said in last week's episode, if IUI or IVF is on your radar and you have not gone through the natural steps, the restorative steps first, Please, please stop what you're of IUI and IVF. Stop and pray. Work with me. Work with another fertility coach, another hormone coach, fertility awareness educator, and the answers that you have been praying for. Because if IUI or IVF is being presented and you have not gone through the route of tracking your cycle ⁓ and what's going on, understanding what's not going on, Because if IUI IVF is presented and you have not gone through the route of tracking your cycle ⁓ and understanding what's going on, understanding what's not on, understanding what root issues you are dealing with and understanding how to naturally restore those root issues. If you have not done all that, I know IUI IVF is not what you're looking for. It's not going to give you what you're needing. It's not going to bring that healing and to bring that restoration. understanding what root issues you are dealing with and understanding how to naturally restore those root issues. If you have not done all that, I know IUI IVF is not what you're looking for. It's not going to give you what you're needing. It's not going to bring that healing and to bring that restoration. So it's a true pause to ask you of like, okay, you're at this fork in the road. Have you gone down this step that is not very well known by your doctors, that's not very well known by society yet. Remember, women's healthcare is like 20 years behind in our society. 20 years behind in all of the research and we're just catching up ⁓ medical school and ⁓ things are not taught in medical school to these doctors and to these providers. So it's not a fault to them, but it's definitely an awareness for us to recognize like, okay, these guys just haven't, unless they've... you know, they're part of the 3 % of professionals who have done this extra training and continuing education. They don't know. And they're not going to be the ones to help with that root, deep healing and restoration and lifestyle change. So, so that is something I really, really implore you to pause ⁓ and to seek the Lord on if that is what he is nudging you into. And if you have done all of those things and you are still hurting, you're still in the waiting, keep trying, keep trying that next step. Maybe a break is needed. I completely believe in sabbathing from trying, in sabbathing from charting and tracking. Like, yes, it's what I teach, it's what I do, it's the foundation of how we figure out what's going on. And if there's a time to pause and to rest from even that, there's a time to pause and rest from social media, from computers, from our phones, from... from all of this stuff that keeps our brains wired and constant search mode and in constant cortisol mode. There's also a time to take a break from this intense desire to try to get pregnant and to ⁓ to be all of the things. And maybe it's a time to just wait. Maybe it's a time to breathe, to take a break, to take a month or two, to just really pray. and seek the Lord and seek his discernment for what your next step is. And before pursuing these things to really pray through and think through like, ⁓ what the Lord is leading us through? We've talked about this month if we feeling and a stillness a calm and joy in this decision, or are we feeling pressure? Are we feeling worried about ⁓ making the wrong choice? Are we feeling worried about missing our window? Are ⁓ feeling worried about our, you we're getting too old ⁓ or feeling worried about am I just not trusting God enough? Like we're having all of these worries. So sometimes we need to take a break and sometimes we to take that next step to make sure that we are doing everything that we can do to support our hormones, to support our uterine lining health. and to give it time before getting pregnant, whether can see naturally or with support. So the biggest thing before these things is these kinds of decisions, cost a lot of money, deciding to do IUI or IVF, the majority of the time they're not covered by insurance. So this is a really, really huge investment and it's also something to really consider, ⁓ especially if it IVF ⁓ about the embryos, babies that would be made through this. ⁓ ⁓ their lives too, it's something to really think about, you know, if five to seven babies ⁓ made from this procedure outside of the womb and, the survival rate is not good. It's 90%, ⁓ do not live. So it's kind of like a really weird thing that, ⁓ I'm not going to like take a strong stance on here in this episode, but it's really kind of. It's hard. It's hard to think through. It's hard to pray through. It's hard to discern. And it feels, sometimes it doesn't feel very good to know like, okay, well what if five to 10 babies are made, but you know, again, only one or two survive or none survive. Like that's hard because then you have more babies to mourn in heaven. And it's very similar to losing children via a chemical pregnancy or an early miscarriage. So that's really hard to process through and to think through. So it's definitely, and I know it's not something you're doing lightly or taking lightly. Again, I'm not here to criticize or judge, but it's just something to think through the reality of what's going on. Another thing to look into in your prayer journey is if you consent to these things is to ⁓ watch some YouTube ⁓ on what exactly happens in these procedures, what happens in the timeline. Because sometimes just seeing it happen for what it is is pretty eye-opening. And it might make us pause. little bit more. So how to pray through this? How to discern your next step? I just want you to visualize you're on a dirt path and you've come up to a fork in the road and given this choice of, ⁓ do pursue this modern conventional medicine that's being shoved in my face and I'm feeling a lot of pressure about it? And that might not be how you feel about it, right? But that is one of the choices. ⁓ Or I pursue ⁓ ⁓ the Lord's lead in taking a Sabbath and learning those root cause things and working with Becca or someone like Becca and seeking that wise counsel and waiting for that answer to be abundantly clear it's ⁓ that's my challenge to you is to see yourself at this fork and to look at these two choices in front of you and pause and to wait and to ask for the Lord's discernment over that so of course you know I would be ⁓ super, super, super, super delighted to work with you and to journey with you. Maybe you have kind of gone through some of these routes, but you still want the extra support from me and the advocacy work and the connections and the ⁓ eyes on everything you've been doing in your charts and your lab work and ⁓ of those things. And if you've never gone through that path, like, ⁓ my goodness, I so implore you to seriously and, you know, pray through doing that with me in Fertility Framework with your husband. It'll be incredibly eye-opening. It's the foundational piece that you should have known years ago and maybe now is the time. So if something you're interested in, you can go to beckyann.com slash course, get started, and I will be delighted to start supporting you. And again, if the internship piqued your ears ⁓ or made your perk up, Go ⁓ go check it out and apply. It'd be wonderful to have you. beckayon.com slash intern. Those close up tomorrow. And thank you for bearing with me in this heavy episode and just allowing me the grace and the honor to ⁓ speak you in this very difficult part of your And again, let's reflect back on the beginning of this episode as we thought of Ruth and the encouragement we received from knowing that God knew ⁓ all the days ordained for Ruth's life and her timeline of her really rocky and up and down story. And he knows all the days of your life what's behind you, what's happening and what's ahead of you. And we can have so much peace from that. Let's pray. Lord Jesus, we just come before you and I thank you for just reminding us of Ruth's story ⁓ and what chose in the fork in her road in one of the hardest, most sorrowful times of her life, Lord. It was incredible what she chose and it was even more incredible just the story you continue to write in her afterwards. So praise you for that and we praise you for the encouragement that it gives to us today. And I just pray over my sisters in Christ as they are truly discerning step at their fork in the road and what they should do next. And I pray Lord that you would lead them, you would guide them and you would give them freedom in what they are dealing with and what they're pursuing. So Lord Jesus, please bring them restoration, bring them answers, bring them health, Lord, bring them a healthy, fertile womb, and bring them life to be carried inside of that womb. Beautifully, Father. We pray all these things by the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, amen.
