- 0:00Speaker 1: And now Move the Sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:07Speaker 2: All right, friends, welcome back.
- 0:08Speaker 1: This is Move the Sticks, Red Lewis, Bucky Brooks here
- 0:12Speaker 1: with you today.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Dj Is got the.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Day off, so we're excited to chat a little Monday
- 0:18Speaker 1: night football. We've got some news to get to out
- 0:21Speaker 1: of Chicago, plus the next installation of our rookie Draft.
- 0:25Speaker 2: But Bucky, I got.
- 0:27Speaker 1: A chance and we're gonna get to uh, we're gonna
- 0:29Speaker 1: get to the lead block here in a minute. But
- 0:30Speaker 1: I got a chance to go to the Rams game
- 0:33Speaker 1: last week, and I gotta tell you, man, And you
- 0:37Speaker 1: know this as a coach's son, so you know, I
- 0:40Speaker 1: was my dad was in the league for a long time, right,
- 0:43Speaker 1: And so I went to game, right inviting friends and
- 0:48Speaker 1: and so one of my oldest son's little friends at
- 0:53Speaker 1: school is works for the Rams, and so they invited
- 0:56Speaker 1: us to go to the game with them, and we
- 0:57Speaker 1: got to go. And it's just, man, it brought back
- 1:00Speaker 1: like so many great memories of doing, you know, like
- 1:03Speaker 1: going to those games.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Like you know, fans have a vested interest.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I get that, yeah, but you know, like when the
- 1:11Speaker 1: checks are on the line, it's a different story, you know,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and like like you feel that anxiety, Like I felt
- 1:17Speaker 1: that anxiety again. But overall it was just it was
- 1:20Speaker 1: really cool because like one of the things you know
- 1:22Speaker 1: that I don't get a chance to do is like
- 1:23Speaker 1: go to the game with our go to a game
- 1:25Speaker 1: with our kids.
- 1:26Speaker 2: We're always working the games, Yeah.
- 1:28Speaker 1: And you always feel like that's kind of something you're
- 1:30Speaker 1: missing and cultivating their experience and love for the game,
- 1:33Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:34Speaker 3: So it's funny, right because for the longest time, I
- 1:37Speaker 3: never had an opportunity to go to games and just
- 1:39Speaker 3: have what I call the fan experience.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Yeah, So I went right from playing to scouting.
- 1:44Speaker 3: So everything that I've been around in the NFL, they'd
- 1:47Speaker 3: always been in a work capacity, right, And so when
- 1:50Speaker 3: you look at the game, you certainly look at it
- 1:52Speaker 3: through a different lens. You have different interests on the line,
- 1:56Speaker 3: and so you don't really get to fully enjoy it
- 2:00Speaker 3: of late, like being able to go to games and
- 2:04Speaker 3: just kind of sit in and get the popcorn and
- 2:06Speaker 3: the hot dog, and do you think going to sit
- 2:08Speaker 3: around it's a cool thing. And for you to be
- 2:11Speaker 3: able to take your kids and allow them to get
- 2:14Speaker 3: a firsthand I think it takes the fandom up a notch.
- 2:18Speaker 4: And I think for kids.
- 2:20Speaker 3: And anyone who has an opportunity to go see a game,
- 2:23Speaker 3: it not only helps you kind of fall in love
- 2:25Speaker 3: with your team, but maybe it fosters the dream a
- 2:28Speaker 3: little bit, right, Maybe you can see yourself on the
- 2:31Speaker 3: field in some capacity. It may not be as a player,
- 2:35Speaker 3: but maybe it's, oh well, maybe I want to be
- 2:37Speaker 3: a trainer. Do you want of the thinks maybe I
- 2:39Speaker 3: want to be a photographer. I think all those things
- 2:43Speaker 3: are great. And every time I'm on the field where
- 2:45Speaker 3: they're in a capacity as a sideline report, I'm looking around,
- 2:47Speaker 3: I'm looking at all the great people that are working.
- 2:50Speaker 3: But then I'm looking at all the young people that
- 2:53Speaker 3: happen to get exposure to the game.
- 2:54Speaker 4: So it's terrific that you're able to expose your kids
- 2:56Speaker 4: to that.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and it doesn't I think I think it's it
- 3:01Speaker 1: started to the more that my oldest and my youngest
- 3:05Speaker 1: is kind of, you know, a little bit less than
- 3:06Speaker 1: but but but getting into it with the interest, the
- 3:08Speaker 1: more that they've wanted to watch and then now going
- 3:11Speaker 1: to see the game, I think also fosters their passion
- 3:15Speaker 1: for you know, when they're out on the field actually
- 3:19Speaker 1: doing it themselves. Right when they're playing the flag, right,
- 3:22Speaker 1: they're thinking about those moments and they're thinking about those plays,
- 3:26Speaker 1: which I think kind of makes it a little bit more,
- 3:28Speaker 1: you know, drives the attention a little bit more.
- 3:30Speaker 3: So I continue, what's funny and we can talk about
- 3:33Speaker 3: the explosion of flag. My daughter played flag for the
- 3:35Speaker 3: first time her senior high school. She plays flags. Awesome,
- 3:38Speaker 3: team wins the league and does that. But now we
- 3:41Speaker 3: have an opportunity to share the leve of football in
- 3:43Speaker 3: a different way. So now she I got to get
- 3:45Speaker 3: a team and oh, the Ravens are my team. I
- 3:47Speaker 3: got to watch the more Jackson then do all this
- 3:50Speaker 3: other thing. And I think that's going on across the
- 3:54Speaker 3: country as more people are being exposed to the game
- 3:56Speaker 3: through flag, is creating a different generation of fans.
- 4:00Speaker 4: And so it's great. So you're talking about sharing those yeahs,
- 4:02Speaker 4: which like awesome.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, and like, you know, my dad was
- 4:06Speaker 1: in the league. You know I am, I guess you know,
- 4:10Speaker 1: as a as a working friend of media. My sister
- 4:13Speaker 1: works for the Texans. Like that's no coincidence, Yeah, it's
- 4:18Speaker 1: it is.
- 4:18Speaker 2: A family business.
- 4:19Speaker 1: And again it's it's all about interest and expanding you know,
- 4:22Speaker 1: horizons and getting experiences that way. So it was it
- 4:25Speaker 1: was really neat and obviously that you know the game
- 4:27Speaker 1: for the Rams, boy, it was a tough one. And
- 4:29Speaker 1: that's where we'll get into the lead block presented by
- 4:32Speaker 1: T Mobile for Business. Football needs a network willing to
- 4:34Speaker 1: go the extra yard, and so do you go further
- 4:36Speaker 1: with T Mobile for Business, Well, the Rams are all
- 4:40Speaker 1: about the business to kick a field goals last night,
- 4:42Speaker 1: and that's I mean, that's ultimately what it comes down to.
- 4:45Speaker 1: You know, when you're when you've got an offense that
- 4:47Speaker 1: can be as explosive bucky as the as the Dolphins can,
- 4:50Speaker 1: and you know, can pick up chunk yards with you know,
- 4:54Speaker 1: a pass that's two yards behind the line of scrimmage
- 4:56Speaker 1: or two yards beyond the line of scrimmage.
- 4:58Speaker 2: It's pretty you know.
- 4:59Speaker 1: It's pretty tough to deal with, and you've got to
- 5:00Speaker 1: be able to convert some of those opportunities. And then
- 5:03Speaker 1: you know, Buck just looking at it, you know, going
- 5:06Speaker 1: back and looking at where they ended up. I mean,
- 5:09Speaker 1: their last what six possessions were field goal attempts and
- 5:12Speaker 1: one of them missed, and you know.
- 5:13Speaker 2: They get close.
- 5:14Speaker 1: They weren't necessarily in the red zone, right, but they
- 5:17Speaker 1: were in that kind of striking area, you know, where
- 5:19Speaker 1: you can get close, and you got to find a
- 5:21Speaker 1: way to get in there.
- 5:22Speaker 3: And you know the thing that you have to know about,
- 5:24Speaker 3: like as the Miami Dolphins return to full health with
- 5:27Speaker 3: their weapons on the perimeter, they go back to being
- 5:30Speaker 3: the team that everyone really feared in terms of their speed,
- 5:33Speaker 3: their explosiveness. Having watched it during the season opener when
- 5:37Speaker 3: they were look they had everybody going Jaylen Waddell and
- 5:40Speaker 3: Tybreek Hile, you understand how challenging that offense can be
- 5:44Speaker 3: to defend, not only on a vertical standpoint, but the
- 5:47Speaker 3: horizontal game.
- 5:48Speaker 4: That they have in the past.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Name and when Tua Tagabaaloa is in there, it changes
- 5:54Speaker 3: the equation completely because he's one of the best in
- 5:56Speaker 3: the business that getting the ball out of his hands
- 5:58Speaker 3: and into the hands of the playmakers on the perimeter.
- 6:01Speaker 4: But the Rams, when you play.
- 6:02Speaker 3: A team like the Dolphins, who you know are going
- 6:04Speaker 3: to put up twenty four to twenty five thirty points,
- 6:08Speaker 3: every opportunity.
- 6:09Speaker 4: That you have to score, you got to cash in.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Uh, the field goal fest is not working their favor,
- 6:14Speaker 3: because man, you can't keep winning if you're swapping threes
- 6:18Speaker 3: for seven's.
- 6:18Speaker 4: It just the math doesn't work out for you.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Stalled out at the Miami sixteen, the Miami thirty seven,
- 6:23Speaker 1: the Miami thirty nine, the Miami thirty five. Matthew Stafford
- 6:28Speaker 1: actually said that he's like we he talked about the
- 6:30Speaker 1: strike zone.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Do you hear that a lot? Buck Like in that.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Area where you know you're you know you're threatening right
- 6:36Speaker 1: where you're in field goal range, but you know, you
- 6:39Speaker 1: if you can get down, you know you can find
- 6:41Speaker 1: another first down here and now you've got four downs
- 6:44Speaker 1: and now you're now you're talking about in the red
- 6:46Speaker 1: area right and you've got you've got you know those opportunities, uh,
- 6:49Speaker 1: you know, greater opportunity to get into the end zone.
- 6:51Speaker 1: But the you know, they missed one of the field
- 6:53Speaker 1: actually made the field goal at the false start, got
- 6:56Speaker 1: backed up, then missed the field goal, so that you know,
- 6:58Speaker 1: that might have altered how things played out down at
- 7:00Speaker 1: the end. But thirty seven, thirty nine to thirty five,
- 7:02Speaker 1: at the Miami four, you kick a field goal, and
- 7:04Speaker 1: then at the Miami twelve and you kick a field
- 7:07Speaker 1: goal on your last two possessions.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Those are the tough ones.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Yeah, those are the tough ones.
- 7:10Speaker 3: And it's look, man, the game comes down to a
- 7:14Speaker 3: handful of plays, and those plays in the red area
- 7:16Speaker 3: everyone matters. And when you're on the fringe of the
- 7:20Speaker 3: red area what they call the highbrid zone. Yea, Yeah,
- 7:23Speaker 3: it's important that you get a couple of first downs
- 7:24Speaker 3: and put yourself in a situation in a position where
- 7:27Speaker 3: you can maybe get four cracks at it inside the ten.
- 7:31Speaker 3: They weren't able to do it. They weren't able to
- 7:32Speaker 3: cash in on the opportunities. And for an offense like Dolphins,
- 7:36Speaker 3: I mean, you give them room, they eventually found a
- 7:39Speaker 3: way to run away from it.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Look, I actually thought both defenses played pretty well in
- 7:43Speaker 1: this game. I mean, obviously the Dolphins did right limiting
- 7:45Speaker 1: the Rams that just field goals and just field goal opportunities,
- 7:48Speaker 1: especially down there. You know when they're in, when they're
- 7:50Speaker 1: in the red zone, and those last two possessions and
- 7:52Speaker 1: keeping them out of the end zone was massive. I
- 7:54Speaker 1: thought they got some good pressure and in a number
- 7:57Speaker 1: of key situations that kind of kept pushing the Rams back,
- 8:01Speaker 1: whether it was sacks or whether it was just throwaways.
- 8:04Speaker 1: But man, I just I wanted to watch in person
- 8:08Speaker 1: Jared Verse. I mean such a bull in a China shop.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I mean, just so powerful, so explosive. I mean that
- 8:16Speaker 1: dude is going to be an absolute stud. I mean
- 8:20Speaker 1: he already is, right, but I'm talking about like a
- 8:22Speaker 1: dominant player in this league. I cannot believe the Rams
- 8:25Speaker 1: ended up getting him. Oh where they did?
- 8:28Speaker 3: No. I mean when you think about him, when you
- 8:29Speaker 3: watched him and you watched him play at Florida State,
- 8:31Speaker 3: he was a power rusher who could bully people on
- 8:34Speaker 3: the edges, And you think about being able to ring
- 8:37Speaker 3: the duo, think about Jared Versus and brand Fitz being
- 8:40Speaker 3: able to come in high energy guys, guys that can
- 8:43Speaker 3: do it one inside, one outside, the relentless approach, and
- 8:46Speaker 3: just we talked about it on the other pod about
- 8:48Speaker 3: the committee situation and being able to really throw bodies
- 8:53Speaker 3: at people. Well, the Rams have that ability and us
- 8:57Speaker 3: they're just kind of beginning to kind of.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Scratch the surface on what they have. But man, Versus terrific.
- 9:03Speaker 4: He's a game change.
- 9:04Speaker 3: He can tilt the field in the Rams direction by
- 9:07Speaker 3: making the splash plays that he is showing the pit
- 9:09Speaker 3: being able to make.
- 9:10Speaker 1: All right, extended lead block here, as we assessed the
- 9:13Speaker 1: news out of Chicago that the Bears have fired offensive
- 9:16Speaker 1: coordinator Shane Waldron. I mean, look, we talked about it
- 9:20Speaker 1: on the Monday episode, right Buck. I mean, it was just,
- 9:23Speaker 1: you know, they were a mess on offense, and you know,
- 9:27Speaker 1: it looked like as DJ mentioned that, you know, Caleb
- 9:30Speaker 1: was being coached to not screw up right, to not
- 9:34Speaker 1: make a mistake, to not you know, not have a turnover,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and he's holding onto the football. Their protection is breaking down.
- 9:41Speaker 2: You know. Now, look there are.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Times obviously he's got to get the ball out or
- 9:44Speaker 1: he's holding the ball three four seconds and then still
- 9:47Speaker 1: getting sacked. So I mean, like it's it is a
- 9:49Speaker 1: collective effort. And so at this point with the Bear
- 9:52Speaker 1: season spiraling, not surprised to see a move like this
- 9:57Speaker 1: made for a head coach that's probably feeling a little
- 9:58Speaker 1: bit of desperation here.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Yeah, not surprised because normally what happens in these situations.
- 10:02Speaker 3: We've seen him play time and time again versus fire coordinator,
- 10:06Speaker 3: and then you're the next one to be fired if
- 10:09Speaker 3: you're the Chicago Bears and you bring Shane Watrin over.
- 10:11Speaker 3: You bring him in with the notion that he's going
- 10:14Speaker 3: to work with the young quarterback. Then you have to
- 10:17Speaker 3: have an expectation that the young quarterback is going to play.
- 10:19Speaker 4: And play well, to play better.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Whatever reason, it didn't work out like that, like he
- 10:24Speaker 3: just demoted, but then he doesn't touch the quarterback anymore.
- 10:27Speaker 3: And so now you have all these other things and
- 10:29Speaker 3: mixed messages and the unit. The team looks dysfunctional, and
- 10:32Speaker 3: it's just it's just a hodge podge of and I
- 10:37Speaker 3: don't know how they fix it. I don't know how
- 10:40Speaker 3: they get out of it, because I would say the
- 10:42Speaker 3: personnel is flawed.
- 10:43Speaker 4: A new coordinator can come, but you run in the
- 10:45Speaker 4: same place and concepts maybe run them in different order.
- 10:48Speaker 3: I don't know how much just does anything besides being
- 10:51Speaker 3: just active creates activity to distract it from the task
- 10:55Speaker 3: at hand.
- 10:55Speaker 4: But I don't know if this has a tangible impact
- 10:58Speaker 4: on the result.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Yeah, and then it's just look at where the Chicago
- 11:01Speaker 1: Bears and so they've lost three in a row off
- 11:04Speaker 1: their bye week where they went in winning three in
- 11:07Speaker 1: a row. That's probably the most discouraging part of this
- 11:10Speaker 1: whole equation. You beat the Rams, you beat the Panthers,
- 11:13Speaker 1: you beat the Jaguars. I get it, not necessarily, you know,
- 11:16Speaker 1: the Chiefs and the Lions, but still you won three
- 11:19Speaker 1: in a row after starting one and two. You go
- 11:21Speaker 1: into the bye week and you come out and then
- 11:23Speaker 1: you have the Hail Mary loss right to the Commanders.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Then you have the Cardinals in which you let up
- 11:29Speaker 1: an end of first half touchdown, right, and then you
- 11:31Speaker 1: come back here against the Patriots and just look completely
- 11:34Speaker 1: out of sorts.
- 11:36Speaker 2: And what are you talking about?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Twelve points twenty seven points in three games right at
- 11:42Speaker 1: that point?
- 11:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean like you haven't put up enough points.
- 11:45Speaker 4: She looked disjointed. The quarterback looked like he's regressing, and
- 11:48Speaker 4: he's holding onto the ball too long. I just want
- 11:49Speaker 4: to let it go. You had to play call and
- 11:52Speaker 4: youth play design.
- 11:52Speaker 3: You to one that's most responsible for his performance, and
- 11:57Speaker 3: you just haven't delivered. And I mean, I guess give
- 12:00Speaker 3: the them credit. Rather than continue to roll with it
- 12:03Speaker 3: for the year, they poor a plug.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Yeah, we all to the next hope for different results.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I keep doing the same thing as the definition of insanity.
- 12:13Speaker 1: So we'll see if this changes things. Thomas Brown the
- 12:16Speaker 1: passing game coordinator. Uh, you know who had a shot
- 12:18Speaker 1: is the Panthers OC under Frank Reich. Didn't work out there,
- 12:22Speaker 1: I was with the Rams for a little while. Is
- 12:24Speaker 1: now going to get a shot to pilot this offense?
- 12:26Speaker 1: And maybe you can find a way to unlock Caleb
- 12:30Speaker 1: Williams and get him to get the ball out of
- 12:33Speaker 1: his hands and get back to playing on time and
- 12:35Speaker 1: on rhythm and with confidence in his abilities, which are
- 12:38Speaker 1: obviously supreme.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 1: And then so just to see, they have got to
- 12:46Speaker 1: run through the NFC North. That's the Bears have not
- 12:49Speaker 1: played an NFC North Division game yet, and so their
- 12:52Speaker 1: next three games Packers, Vikings, Lions.
- 12:57Speaker 3: All right, Kenn, wait to see what kind of differences missed.
- 13:00Speaker 3: You know, it just seems like you probably would have
- 13:03Speaker 3: waited for a better time.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Hey, next half, he oh, listen to this. This might
- 13:10Speaker 1: be the I have to go back and check this.
- 13:11Speaker 1: It might be the worst second half schedule in football. Packers, Vikings, Lions, Niners,
- 13:18Speaker 1: Vikings Lions, Seahawks Packers. I mean, they've got six division
- 13:25Speaker 1: games in their final eight, and that division is arguably
- 13:31Speaker 1: the best in football.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I dig the division games, but man, yes,
- 13:35Speaker 4: maybe hit just on this list.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Like it just who Yeah, we're cut out for you.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Yeah, they got to bring to a game. It'd be
- 13:43Speaker 4: interesting to see what just looks like.
- 13:45Speaker 1: All right, well that is a wrap for the lead
- 13:48Speaker 1: block presented by T Mobile for Business. Football needs a network,
- 13:51Speaker 1: will need to go to the extra yard, and so
- 13:53Speaker 1: do you go further with T Mobile for Business. Okay,
- 13:57Speaker 1: when we come back, read Lewis, Bucky Brooks and no
- 14:01Speaker 1: Bill filling in for DJ on the rookie Draft. I
- 14:05Speaker 1: think what's happening here is DJ is just kind of
- 14:09Speaker 1: quietly bowing out after another rousing victory by my squad.
- 14:15Speaker 2: He's just that tapping out.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Need to be able to come in and we'll have
- 14:21Speaker 1: that rookie draft for you on the other side. All right, friends,
- 14:28Speaker 1: back with you here on move the sticks. No DJ
- 14:30Speaker 1: for the Rookie Draft this week. He just couldn't bear
- 14:33Speaker 1: the thought of listening to me win again. I ended
- 14:38Speaker 1: up with seven points this past week. Drake May got
- 14:42Speaker 1: me the win at quarterback in a down week for
- 14:44Speaker 1: rookie quarterbacks. Malik Neighbors was my choice at the first
- 14:49Speaker 1: skill position. He got me a second place finish. Bucky,
- 14:52Speaker 1: you won the first skill position with Marvin Harrison, who
- 14:55Speaker 1: is on by week this week, so sorry, you have
- 14:59Speaker 1: to find a new to target there. And then let's see,
- 15:03Speaker 1: I ended up winning with Lad McConkie, who got a
- 15:05Speaker 1: couple of late catches in that game to just edge
- 15:07Speaker 1: out exaviorly get for the third the second skill position win, Bucky.
- 15:12Speaker 2: You didn't get any points on that, sorry, Budd.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Okay with Roma Dunsay, Yeah, you went with the stack
- 15:19Speaker 1: Caleb Williams and Romadonsay, you were you, you know, ride
- 15:22Speaker 1: or die with the Bears on that one.
- 15:24Speaker 2: And you flat lined sorry about that and like come
- 15:27Speaker 2: at you fast with that one.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Yeah, they have I.
- 15:34Speaker 1: So the standings after week Tin, I am sitting there
- 15:38Speaker 1: at forty seven points, ten point lead on DJ at
- 15:42Speaker 1: thirty seven, Bucky right there.
- 15:43Speaker 2: At thirty six. All right, So the order this week,
- 15:46Speaker 2: Bucky is up.
- 15:47Speaker 1: First and then I am second in nobil in DJ's
- 15:51Speaker 1: stead is picking back to back at three four, and
- 15:54Speaker 1: then we'll close it out at nine.
- 15:55Speaker 2: So all right, Buck, Number one overall pick where you.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Can do what I'm gonna do, what most great franchises do.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Number one over our pick if there's a quarterback available,
- 16:04Speaker 3: we're gonna take him.
- 16:05Speaker 4: So let's go Jayden Daniels. Let's make it happen on
- 16:09Speaker 4: Thursday night.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Let's get the victory done early against the Eagles. Yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 3: let's handle our business early so we can sleep well
- 16:19Speaker 3: over the weekend.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Wow.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Okay, okay, that's an interesting one. I tell you what
- 16:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna do here, and I got a little bit
- 16:31Speaker 1: of a lead to play with here. So I feel
- 16:33Speaker 1: confident quarterbacks are tough right now. And I don't know
- 16:36Speaker 1: that I want to see Jeff Hafley's defense against Caleb Williams,
- 16:41Speaker 1: So I'm not going Caleb that we were just talking
- 16:45Speaker 1: about the Rams defense in this episode. I don't know
- 16:47Speaker 1: that I want to see Drake may go up against
- 16:50Speaker 1: the Rams this week. So I am thinking that I'm
- 16:54Speaker 1: gonna go bow Knicks. Uh, take it on the Falcons.
- 16:59Speaker 1: We also talk about as on Monday as providing a
- 17:02Speaker 1: nice comfortable pocket for opposing quarterbacks. So give me bow
- 17:06Speaker 1: Nicks in the Broncos at home. I'm gonna go bow
- 17:09Speaker 1: at number two. So DJ slash Nobile, you are up
- 17:13Speaker 1: at number three, your choice of skill positions. He's going
- 17:17Speaker 1: Brock Bowers and Brian Thomas junior. All right, Bowers makes sense,
- 17:23Speaker 1: I get that one. I'd certainly get that one. So
- 17:27Speaker 1: no Marvin Harrison this week, Bucky and the Show, It's me.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I am up again. No Marvin Harrison, just to so
- 17:39Speaker 1: you know. Malik Neighbors still leads the way in rookie
- 17:41Speaker 1: receptions at sixty six, Bowers right behind him at sixty two,
- 17:45Speaker 1: Brian Thomas at forty three. I think I gotta go
- 17:48Speaker 1: Lad mconkey this week.
- 17:51Speaker 4: McConkie, mconkee.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I gotta go Lad against the Bengals.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Give me Lad lock up Ladd this week. So that
- 17:59Speaker 1: brings you back with back to backs here, Bucky Man.
- 18:02Speaker 3: This is this is tough, right because somebody has to
- 18:07Speaker 3: catch some some some balls. This week, got the Packers
- 18:12Speaker 3: taking them there so.
- 18:13Speaker 4: I could go Rome with Duney. But Rome broke last week.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I got has has been catching some balls from Bowneck's
- 18:20Speaker 1: the seventh round pick out of Utah. Tavian Sanders with
- 18:24Speaker 1: the Panthers has been coming on late. He's got thirty
- 18:26Speaker 1: catches already.
- 18:26Speaker 4: He has, but I feel like I need a notable name.
- 18:30Speaker 4: I got a big game.
- 18:31Speaker 3: This week, Kansas City versus Buffalo, and I'm just wondering,
- 18:35Speaker 3: can I get a good performance from one of the rookies,
- 18:38Speaker 3: worry about can I call him and being available?
- 18:40Speaker 4: So I'm thinking, and yeahh I no, I know. So
- 18:44Speaker 4: I'm thinking.
- 18:44Speaker 3: Xavier Worthy should be due to make them regret what
- 18:48Speaker 3: they passed on. So Xavier' worthy being available right there,
- 18:52Speaker 3: and then I have to go.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Back to back and.
- 18:58Speaker 3: You know, maybe I am feeling a little more optimistic
- 19:03Speaker 3: about what you said my seventh round.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Guy Bailey, that's what it is. But that's rich Rits.
- 19:17Speaker 2: He look.
- 19:19Speaker 4: He's trying to get me like I feel like.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Mm hmm man, Bucky Irving's down to like this is
- 19:29Speaker 2: Braylan Allen. That's what I was looking at.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Brayl Allen is going to have to save me because
- 19:33Speaker 4: I was looking at the in and out his goals
- 19:35Speaker 4: and the jest, let's go Braylen Allen somehow saves me.
- 19:38Speaker 2: He's saying, okay, man.
- 19:42Speaker 1: So I'm I'm also looking at at Ray Davis, although
- 19:47Speaker 1: I mean James Cook his back is the lead back there.
- 19:50Speaker 1: It's that's a tough one. I might I might have
- 19:55Speaker 1: to go with the stack. I might have to go
- 19:58Speaker 1: with the von Vley. No, I might have to hold on,
- 20:01Speaker 1: hold on, let me think about it. Here, you think
- 20:03Speaker 1: about it for one more second.
- 20:05Speaker 4: We're going.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Now give me Jatavian Sanders. Give me the rookie tight
- 20:12Speaker 1: end in Carolina. Wait, no, Carolina is on buy.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Down. Hey submitted a name? Just admitted name Domino hit
- 20:26Speaker 4: the table?
- 20:28Speaker 2: Did he did? Hey? Uh? Give me Devon Maley. We're
- 20:35Speaker 2: going to Von Maley.
- 20:36Speaker 1: We're going with the Stack the Knicks Maley Stack, all right,
- 20:41Speaker 1: and the Bill's got Drake May, so he's he's taking
- 20:43Speaker 1: Drake May with the last pick. All right, it'll be
- 20:48Speaker 1: interesting week, interesting week, A lot of buys. Can mac
- 20:53Speaker 1: Jones get Brian Thomas going? There's Trevor batt I mean,
- 20:56Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know what what we got
- 20:58Speaker 1: going on with that?
- 20:58Speaker 2: So there you go. That's a rookie after the week.
- 21:01Speaker 4: I doubt if Trevor's back. I think this is a
- 21:02Speaker 4: mag Jones week.
- 21:03Speaker 2: So yeah, all right, all right, ne Bill, I hope
- 21:07Speaker 2: you hope you make DJ happy with that.
- 21:10Speaker 1: We'll see you might. You might be producing another podcast here.
- 21:14Speaker 1: If things don't work out, I have to.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Move you over to the.
