- 0:00Speaker 1: County and it has the best county executive in America.
- 0:03Speaker 1: There's not even a close second. Bruce Blakeman is the
- 0:06Speaker 1: county executive up for reelection on Tuesday. Make sure you
- 0:09Speaker 1: vote for Bruce Blakeman on Tuesday. And he's with us
- 0:11Speaker 1: right now. Bruce Blakeman, how you doing good?
- 0:15Speaker 2: Mark? Thank you so much. You're very kind, really appreciate it.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Do you actually have an opponent? Has anybody had the
- 0:20Speaker 1: nerve to run against you?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Yes, we have an opponent. I don't take anything for granted,
- 0:25Speaker 2: you know, Mark. In Nassau County, we have one hundred
- 0:28Speaker 2: and ten thousand more registered Democrats than Republicans, so we
- 0:32Speaker 2: can't take anything for granted here.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Oh all right, So everybody get out and vote for
- 0:36Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman on Tuesday. You have early voting out there too,
- 0:39Speaker 1: don't you.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Yes, yes, so.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Yeah, do it today. And you have a very good
- 0:44Speaker 1: district attorney. It's to Anne Donnelly, right, We everye should
- 0:47Speaker 1: vote for her too well.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Working with Anne Donnelly and our great police Commissioner Pat Ryder,
- 0:54Speaker 2: and our police department, our Sheriff's department, working very closely
- 0:58Speaker 2: with Ice, we are the safest county in America, which
- 1:01Speaker 2: is saving it's saying a lot since we're on the
- 1:03Speaker 2: border of New York City and our populations larger than
- 1:07Speaker 2: ten states in America.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Yeah, so if mom Donnie wins, can we join Nasau
- 1:14Speaker 1: County in New York City become part of Nassau County?
- 1:16Speaker 1: Is that possible?
- 1:17Speaker 2: Our real estate brokers are doing a tremendous business right now.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Our housing prices are going up up, So if you
- 1:26Speaker 2: want to come to Nassau County, now's the time to
- 1:29Speaker 2: buy because it's only going to go higher. People are
- 1:32Speaker 2: very concerned about him becoming mayor. I certainly am planning
- 1:37Speaker 2: with our police department measures that we're going to take
- 1:40Speaker 2: because we have a great relationship with the NYPD right now.
- 1:44Speaker 2: We share intelligence, we share assets, we work very well together.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I'm not sure that's going to be the same if
- 1:51Speaker 2: he's elected.
- 1:54Speaker 1: How hard is it just to have common sense in politics?
- 1:57Speaker 1: You know, one thing, you come from the private sector too.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Do you think that should be a requirement that you
- 2:02Speaker 1: had to have been in the private sector just to
- 2:03Speaker 1: learn common sense and how to be practical about things.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I think it's a great platform to run for office
- 2:12Speaker 2: where you have to meet a payroll where you understand
- 2:15Speaker 2: that everything that every decision that that's made is a
- 2:19Speaker 2: cost benefit analysis. That's what you should do in business.
- 2:23Speaker 2: That's what you should do in government. Unfortunately it's not
- 2:25Speaker 2: done in government. But you know, we do common sense
- 2:28Speaker 2: things out here, like boys play with boys, girls play
- 2:32Speaker 2: with girls. We don't want boys in girls bathrooms and
- 2:36Speaker 2: locker rooms. Just common sense.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Yeah, and things at booming and NASA. Right, every time
- 2:41Speaker 1: I'm out there, you got another hotel going up, more
- 2:43Speaker 1: stores are opening. It's the economy is bigger than ever,
- 2:46Speaker 1: isn't it.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Our gross domestic product is larger than one hundred and
- 2:51Speaker 2: twenty six nations in the United Nations. We are an
- 2:54Speaker 2: economic powerhouse. Our restaurants are as good as New York
- 2:57Speaker 2: City are. Shopping is as good as New York City,
- 3:02Speaker 2: may be better. We have beautiful beaches, beautiful parks, great museums.
- 3:06Speaker 2: And by the way, I heard you mentioned the Udell's,
- 3:09Speaker 2: great great entrepreneurs out here in Nassau County. I love
- 3:13Speaker 2: them because they create a lot of sales tax revenue
- 3:16Speaker 2: for us.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Hey, Mark, you Della, his wife Candy, that whole family
- 3:19Speaker 1: is just wonderful and that's another example, like he's adding
- 3:25Speaker 1: another Florida to his store. Next store, you got rh
- 3:29Speaker 1: Restoration hardware. They just opened a spectacular store. So they
- 3:32Speaker 1: must think highly of you and Long Island if they're
- 3:33Speaker 1: spending all this money to expand.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Well, we are the safest county in America. We haven't
- 3:40Speaker 2: raised taxes one penny in four years. So we're doing
- 3:44Speaker 2: the right things out here, and we encourage businesses to
- 3:47Speaker 2: come to Nasau County. I meet with business owners from
- 3:51Speaker 2: all over the world, not just the United States, and
- 3:55Speaker 2: encourage them to do business in Nasau County because it's safe.
- 3:58Speaker 2: We've got beautiful housing stock, as I said, we've got
- 4:01Speaker 2: beautiful beaches, Our schools our top notch. We've got a
- 4:05Speaker 2: lot to offer out here.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Yeah, So why does anybody go to the Hamptons. I've
- 4:10Speaker 1: never understood that it takes you nine hours to get there.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Nasau County got better restaurants and better stores, you got
- 4:16Speaker 1: beautiful beaches. But I guess it's good they don't all
- 4:20Speaker 1: come because you can't. You'd have too many people.
- 4:23Speaker 2: We were the Hamptons before there was a Hampton mark.
- 4:25Speaker 2: So we have the Gold Coast, which has amazing homes again,
- 4:32Speaker 2: great restaurants. Then on the south Shore, we've got some
- 4:36Speaker 2: of the most pristine, beautiful beaches in the whole world.
- 4:39Speaker 2: So we've never marketed Nassau County the way that we should.
- 4:44Speaker 2: So the last four years, that's all I've been doing.
- 4:47Speaker 2: As I said, our gross domestic product is incredibly high.
- 4:50Speaker 2: When I came into office, it was eighty five billion
- 4:52Speaker 2: a year. It's now over one hundred and twenty five
- 4:54Speaker 2: billion dollars a year.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Wow. So everybody vote for Bruce Blakeman Tuesday's election. That
- 4:59Speaker 1: you can do early voting if you're in Nasa County,
- 5:01Speaker 1: make sure you vote for Bruce Blakeman. And you must
- 5:06Speaker 1: have you thought about the next four years what you
- 5:07Speaker 1: want to do. You must have a lot on your
- 5:09Speaker 1: plate there. But what's next for NASA.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Continue to make it safer, continue to make it more affordable,
- 5:17Speaker 2: keep taxes down, and use common sense, as you said,
- 5:22Speaker 2: and American values. We need to get back to American values.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Our kids have been indoctrinated with nonsense in our schools
- 5:30Speaker 2: and universities, and we've got to reteach them about the
- 5:33Speaker 2: things that were taught to us by our parents and grandparents.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Yeah, when you get a mom Donnie getting all these votes.
- 5:41Speaker 1: A lot of people think that's the result of universities
- 5:43Speaker 1: becoming crazy left wing and doctrination centers, glamorizing socialism, and
- 5:50Speaker 1: how do you undo that? That could they've raised generations
- 5:53Speaker 1: of these crazy people. How do you undo that?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Well, we have to re educate Mark. By the way,
- 5:59Speaker 2: communist has been a failure. Socialism has been a failure.
- 6:02Speaker 2: You can't point to one country where it's been a success.
- 6:07Speaker 2: And my friends who are who are you know, immigrants
- 6:10Speaker 2: from socialist countries. They can't understand why we don't teach
- 6:14Speaker 2: more in our public schools and our universities and our
- 6:17Speaker 2: private schools about what socialism and communism are all about.
- 6:22Speaker 2: It's basically being nonproductive, depending on the government to control
- 6:28Speaker 2: every aspect of your life. Anti religion, no spirituality. It's
- 6:34Speaker 2: really a dismal life. I think Winston Churchill said it's
- 6:38Speaker 2: the sharing of misery.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I like that. So Bruce Blakeman is up for re election.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Make sure you vote for him on Tuesday. Best county
- 6:47Speaker 1: executive in America? Have you getten calls from other county executives?
- 6:51Speaker 1: You've worked miracles there? Have they called you for a
- 6:53Speaker 1: guidance advice.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Well, I talk with political leaders throughout the state. I
- 7:00Speaker 2: speak with county executives all over New York State, and
- 7:05Speaker 2: you know, we've got a good nucleus here in New
- 7:07Speaker 2: York State. And you know, one of the things we've
- 7:10Speaker 2: got to do is focus very very carefully on changing
- 7:14Speaker 2: our state government because they're the biggest problem. With castlest bail,
- 7:19Speaker 2: with all congestion, pricing, all of these types of very
- 7:23Speaker 2: oppressive laws that are anti business, the pro criminal those
- 7:28Speaker 2: are the types of things that we've got to change
- 7:31Speaker 2: in our state government.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Yeah, if we have any big politicians listening, give them
- 7:35Speaker 1: some advice on how to be fearless. You've been a
- 7:38Speaker 1: guy who just you know, what's the right thing to do,
- 7:39Speaker 1: what's the smart thing to do, and you do it
- 7:41Speaker 1: and maybe you get a little flack, but you get
- 7:43Speaker 1: through it. You're not under any big attack from anybody
- 7:46Speaker 1: to tell them how doing the right thing is sometimes
- 7:49Speaker 1: in the end will always work out for you.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Well, that's absolutely right, Mark. I think that if you
- 7:55Speaker 2: do the right thing, if you're courageous, if you stand
- 7:58Speaker 2: by your values, imprints bulls, eventually that will reap great benefits.
- 8:03Speaker 2: So I'll give you a for instance, my cooperation with ICE.
- 8:07Speaker 2: We are the most comprehensive county in the United States
- 8:11Speaker 2: in our in our cooperation with ICE, we've removed forty
- 8:15Speaker 2: seven illegal migrants who had criminal records just last months.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Twenty eight of them were gang related. When people when
- 8:25Speaker 2: I told people I was going to enter into a
- 8:28Speaker 2: cooperation agreement with ICE, they were like, Oh, you're going
- 8:31Speaker 2: to lose the Hispanic vote. The Hispanic Americans won't vote
- 8:34Speaker 2: for you. We've pulled it now three times. In the
- 8:37Speaker 2: Hispanic American community, they love it. From sixty two to
- 8:42Speaker 2: sixty six percent of Hispanic Americans want that cooperation with
- 8:46Speaker 2: ICE because they want safe communities for their children. They
- 8:49Speaker 2: don't want their children to being doctrinated into gangs. They
- 8:52Speaker 2: don't want overcrowded schools, they don't want homeless people in
- 8:55Speaker 2: their neighborhoods. So my support in Hispanic American community has
- 8:59Speaker 2: been overwhelming.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a great example for any other politician. Just
- 9:04Speaker 1: do the right thing. You'll get a little flak here
- 9:06Speaker 1: in there, but in the end everything will be better,
- 9:08Speaker 1: Everything works out, and then you get credit for doing
- 9:10Speaker 1: the right thing. And we want everybody to vote for
- 9:13Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman on Tuesday, that's election day, but you can
- 9:15Speaker 1: do it now, there's early voting in Nassau County. He's
- 9:18Speaker 1: the best county executive in America by far. And Bruce Blakeman,
- 9:22Speaker 1: good luck, not that you'll need it, but thanks for
- 9:26Speaker 1: being with us to keep up the great work.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Mark. You're a good friend. Thank you so much. And
- 9:30Speaker 2: if I had your voice and your intellect, that'd be
- 9:32Speaker 2: President of the United States.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Definitely do well, not yet not Yeah, we need you
- 9:36Speaker 1: in Nasau County then president, but thanks for taking marks,
- 9:41Speaker 1: take care. Yeah, he really has done a phenomenal job
- 9:44Speaker 1: in Nassau County. If we could clone him, that would
- 9:49Speaker 1: be perfect. If we can get somewhere like that is Mayor,
- 9:51Speaker 1: then we wouldn't have to settle for these horrible choices
- 9:54Speaker 1: we got. Hey, we got a lot coming up today.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Buck and Clay at noon, excellent show. Then you the
- 10:00Speaker 1: most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity today Wednesday,
- 10:05Speaker 1: I think Curtis is on with Buck and Clay today.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I think in the one o'clock hour you heard Curtis
- 10:11Speaker 1: on Buck and Clay. Then, Hey, don't forget Jimmy Fayla
- 10:14Speaker 1: Great Show every night nine to midnight here on seven
- 10:17Speaker 1: ten WR
