- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time for us to
- 0:02Speaker 1: go to God in prayer, and as always, I invite
- 0:05Speaker 1: you to join along with me in prayer. You know,
- 0:08Speaker 1: as we are approaching the holiday season, so often there's
- 0:12Speaker 1: contention in fighting in the families and unforgiving. So people
- 0:15Speaker 1: are anxious about spending time with the family. So I
- 0:17Speaker 1: want to pray for healing in the family. Father, God,
- 0:20Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus, we come to you with
- 0:22Speaker 1: hearts lifted, humbled, and hungry for your presence. As we
- 0:25Speaker 1: journey into this Thanksgiving season and the holidays ahead, we
- 0:29Speaker 1: pause to acknowledge you as the center of our lives,
- 0:32Speaker 1: the anchor of our souls, and the healer of every wound. Lord,
- 0:36Speaker 1: Today we lift up our families, every mother, every father,
- 0:39Speaker 1: every child, every sibling, every generation connected to us. God,
- 0:44Speaker 1: we're asking you to bring healing in the family. Lord,
- 0:48Speaker 1: you see when nobody else sees. You know the tensions
- 0:51Speaker 1: that rise when everyone gathers. You know the loss that
- 0:54Speaker 1: leaves an empty seat at the table. You know the
- 0:56Speaker 1: hurt that lingers behind the smiles and the pain that
- 1:00Speaker 1: stuck tucked away in a quiet corners of our heart.
- 1:03Speaker 1: But today God, we ask you to walk into our homes,
- 1:06Speaker 1: walk into our relationships, Walk into every memory and moment
- 1:10Speaker 1: that needs your touch.
- 1:11Speaker 2: God, somebody is facing.
- 1:13Speaker 1: This holiday season without a loved one for the first time.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Their hearts are heavy, their emotions are fragile, and their
- 1:21Speaker 1: memories feel both comforting and painful.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Lord, wrap them in.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Your arms, Be the God of all comfort, the one
- 1:27Speaker 1: who wants tears, steady trembling hearts and whispers, I am
- 1:32Speaker 1: with you. God. Remind them that grief is not a
- 1:35Speaker 1: sign of weakness, is a sign of love and even God,
- 1:38Speaker 1: in the valley of loss.
- 1:39Speaker 2: You are still faithful.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Father.
- 1:41Speaker 2: We pray for those dealing with family.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Contention, unspoken tension, all wounds that resurface during the holidays,
- 1:48Speaker 1: misunderstandings that nobody has resolved, words that cut deeply even
- 1:53Speaker 1: years later.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Lord, step into those spaces.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Bring peace where there's been strife, unity where there's been division,
- 1:59Speaker 1: and forgiveness where bitterness.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Try to take root.
- 2:02Speaker 1: God, teach us to release what we no longer need
- 2:06Speaker 1: to carry. Teach us to extend grace even when it's hard.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Teach us to listen, Teach us to love, and teach
- 2:13Speaker 1: us to see one another through your eyes.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Of love and mercy and grace.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Lord, healed work and relationships. Heal parent and children who
- 2:21Speaker 1: haven't talked in years. Heal siblings separated by pride. Heal
- 2:25Speaker 1: marriage is strained by stress and fear and silence, resentment.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Restore what the enemy tried to tear apart, rebuild what
- 2:33Speaker 1: was fractured. God, rekindle love, rekindle compassion, and rekindle understanding.
- 2:38Speaker 2: God, we pray for emotional healing.
- 2:40Speaker 1: We pray for those who walked into gatherings feeling unseen, unappreciated,
- 2:45Speaker 1: or even forgotten. Remind them, God that they matter. Remind
- 2:49Speaker 1: them that they are valued. Remind them that they are
- 2:51Speaker 1: loved by You with an ever lasting love. Let no
- 2:54Speaker 1: one sit at the table this year feeling alone while
- 2:57Speaker 1: surrounded by people. Lord, we pray for generational healing. Break
- 3:03Speaker 1: cycles of dysfunction, cycles of anger, cycles of addiction, cycles
- 3:08Speaker 1: of trauma. Oh God, bring freedom to our bloodlines, respiration
- 3:13Speaker 1: to our hearts, and renewal to our homes. God, let
- 3:16Speaker 1: this be the year where the pattern stops, where peace
- 3:19Speaker 1: becomes a new inheritance. And God, we pray for the
- 3:21Speaker 1: families who are doing their best just to hold it together.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Strengthen the Lord. Encourage the Lord.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Pour out supernatural joy that strengthens and uplifts. Release the
- 3:31Speaker 1: spirit of gratitude in the home. Gratitude not based on
- 3:34Speaker 1: everything being perfect, but based on the fact that You
- 3:37Speaker 1: are still good, still present, and still working. Lord, As
- 3:41Speaker 1: we gather around the table, this Thanksgiving is this Christmas.
- 3:46Speaker 2: You sit with us. Breathe peace over us.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Let love flow from one heart to another, that laughter return,
- 3:52Speaker 1: Let grace abound. Let healing begin, not temporarily, not partially,
- 3:57Speaker 1: but fully, deeply and permanent.
- 4:00Speaker 2: God, we surrender our families to you.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Every broken place, every hurting heart, every strained relationship, every
- 4:07Speaker 1: empty chair, every difficult memory, every hope that.
- 4:11Speaker 2: We still hold on to. You are the God who restores.
- 4:15Speaker 2: You are the God who reconciles.
- 4:16Speaker 1: You are the God who heals the broken heartness.
- 4:19Speaker 2: You are the God who makes all things new.
- 4:22Speaker 1: So today we declare healing over our homes, peace over
- 4:25Speaker 1: our gatherings, comfort over our grief, forgiveness over our hearts,
- 4:30Speaker 1: and unity over our family.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Lord, bring healing in the family, and let.
- 4:34Speaker 1: This holiday season be a reminder that with you, there's
- 4:38Speaker 1: always hopes. With you, there's always grace, and with you
- 4:42Speaker 1: there's always the possibility of a brand new beginning.
- 4:47Speaker 2: In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray Amen
