Transcript
- 0:28Welcome into the tree House. I'm Daniel Malley, joined by Trey Trenholme and
- 0:34friend actor comedian Rob Sharma, who's once again been roped into doing this show.
- 0:42That's the season of RAJ. The next episode, I think we'll have
- 0:50a fun guest, and then after that we'll also we'll get Everett back in
- 0:57here, and then we're also going to try to get Jerry back in here
- 1:00as well. Oh nice. It's a little tougher with Jerry because, uh,
- 1:07he's all uppity now because he still works in radio. The last time
- 1:12I was, uh, I went and did a bowing them, and uh
- 1:17Annadhara took me. She's like, guess who's Guess who's here. I'm like,
- 1:19it's seven thirty. I'm not guessing who's here at seven thirty in the
- 1:23morning. I don't. I don't have the answer for you. She just
- 1:26flings open the door and there's Jerry in a dark room, like, dude,
- 1:30I guess he was doing traffic or whether or something like that. He
- 1:33was he was adjusting and I was like, it was I have half away
- 1:38believes she wanted like a bigger Oh my god, I haven't seen any ages
- 1:41and he just goes so man, I was like, hey, I was
- 1:46like, that was it? Uh yeah, no, so his uh his,
- 1:52his schedule doesn't typically align with when we like to record, but we
- 1:56like to make it fluid on occasion to uh kind of work out for other
- 2:00people's schedules. There, you, and the reason why I wanted to bring
- 2:05all those other names up, It's because I have a very fun announcement to
- 2:08make. All right, So, Raj, what are you doing on Friday
- 2:15July seventh? Friday July seventh, I'm in town. That's good because we
- 2:24have secured our next road show. Nice okay, So on Friday July seventh,
- 2:32we will be doing our second Treehouse Podcast live road show at Daddy Rabbits
- 2:40Pub in Louisville right on. That will be from five to seven pm.
- 2:46That's Friday July seventh, Daddy Rabbits Pub five to seven, one twenty one
- 2:51in Round Grove in Louisville. So come one, come all, and it'll
- 2:59be it'll be fun time. So Rage, we would very much love it
- 3:01if you could attend as well. You don't have to, I see,
- 3:05but I will be there. They used to have an open mic there.
- 3:07Oh really back in the day. Yeah, so perfect. You know exactly
- 3:10where it is. Yeah, they've actually um The people that used to own
- 3:16it, I think have retired and then they sold it and it's now with
- 3:23the group that owns Shaker Tens. Oh so Brian and Jerry. Yes,
- 3:30shorter concepts. I guess. So I don't know. Okay, the guy
- 3:35that I've been, the guy that I've been speaking to is Brad. Okay,
- 3:38gotcha, because it's Mucky Duck, Shaker Tin's, Scruffy Duffy's. I's
- 3:43a nice house. All those guys. I don't know if those are all
- 3:46related or not. I think unless they sold Shaker Tins, unless they sold
- 3:51it too somebody else, it could be. Brad didn't make any mention of
- 3:53that. He mentioned just the Shaker Tin's places and then that they've got a
- 3:58new Shaker Tins is is coming as soon as well. So anyway, that'll
- 4:02be Friday, July seventh. Put it on your calendars and make sure to
- 4:08come and enjoy the treehouse live in front of you at Daddy Rabbits Pub one
- 4:15twenty one in Round Grove in Louisville. I'll be there, Drey, I
- 4:19believe you are confirmed to attend as well. I will be there. Raj
- 4:23is now on board. I am going to be there with bells on.
- 4:27I know Jerry is probably already camping out. He's so excited. He loves
- 4:31that stuff. Man, you putting him in front of a crowd. It's
- 4:34amazing that he doesn't do what you do rags, like more stand up or
- 4:39just anything that gets him in front of a crowd. He absolutely eats it
- 4:43up. We'll see if Everett can attend as well, so it'll be a
- 4:46fun time for all. If if you're gonna do the we're gonna do anything
- 4:54with Jerry's nail clippings, Can you give me the heads up so I can
- 4:59like have some toast beforehand and just keep the stomach acid down. I didn't
- 5:05realize this at the first road show, Raj. I didn't realize that Trey's
- 5:12time when we were all on the radio together on the Russ Martin Show Slashed
- 5:16the Treehouse. I didn't realize that Tray's time on the show didn't ever overlap
- 5:23with Jerry's. It just I never made the connection for some reason. And
- 5:28so when we did that first road show, you've got Trey and Jerry,
- 5:34who I'm not even sure if they'd ever met before. And within five minutes,
- 5:40within five minutes, Jerry's pulling out his his nail clippings collection, and
- 5:45Trey, even though he's already damn near translucent as a as a flesh skin
- 5:49tone, he actually looked like he turned into a ghost because he just looked
- 5:54just stunned and appalled, and oh my god, what does this weirdo have.
- 5:59I thought I thought it was when you all first started talking about it.
- 6:00I'm thinking it's a bit, and then I didn't realize. You know,
- 6:03he's got a container. Oh and he starts shaking them yes, like
- 6:09a really gross maracha. Um. Yeah, that is a that is a
- 6:19thing, honest to god. We actually at one point told told the sales
- 6:24department, because the sales department for radio stations, they'll go out and they'll
- 6:28sell appearances by the end of the station's personalities to like a cell phone store
- 6:31or something and say, hey, come hang out with rash Arma today from
- 6:34two to three pm. We actually told sales see if you can sell an
- 6:40appearance with just Jerry's tone nails, because just as many people would come out
- 6:45to see that as they would for Jerry probably. Yeah, I just if
- 6:48we can keep talking, I wish people could see Trey's face because if we
- 6:53just keep talking about tone, like nail clippings, it is right there.
- 6:58That was so good. It's it's disgusting. Yeah. That that that that
- 7:03that thing that you hear, that's what his face is doing the same thing
- 7:08right right? You have you have you looked inside his container? Uh no,
- 7:14I haven't looked inside. But okay, well now now now we have
- 7:18something to look forward to bring those things like it wouldn't it wouldn't. Okay,
- 7:25toe nails, it's okay. See you say that because you're thinking about
- 7:30when you trim your toe nails. You're like, Okay, there's a couple
- 7:32of toe nails down there. But when you when you when you actually come
- 7:38face to nail with these things, Yeah, and you see the sheer quantity
- 7:43of them, it's it's kind of overwhelming. Yeah, Raj would would you
- 7:47like to throw out a ballpark because this was the competition last time? Guess
- 7:55how many toe nails are in there? Our fingernails, nail clippings, whatever?
- 7:59Would you do? You like to guess the number that was in there?
- 8:05That's adorable. Let's add some context for you. Rage. So Jerry
- 8:11has been collecting these toe nails now, I believe for eighteen years, so
- 8:16they're in the thousands. M hmmm. Right. So what we did at
- 8:22the last road show is we had everyone right down their guesses as to how
- 8:26many clippings there are in that in that can that he carries around with him,
- 8:31and the person that was the closest one a treehouse podcast. Uh YETI
- 8:39cup type of thing, steel cup? Okay, yeah, Okay, it's
- 8:41like it's the thing that's a fair with the how many marbles are in the
- 8:45jar exactly, except it's Jerry, so it's weird and gross. Okay,
- 8:50wow, I mean I just wanted like, how does that's the thing?
- 8:54Right? How do you get how do you know that's your thing? Did
- 8:58you pick up a tonnail clipping one day, like put in your pocket?
- 9:00Like nobody saw me? Dude. I've been wondering this four years from the
- 9:03first time Jerry ever mentioned it. I've been asking and it's it's almost like
- 9:11I don't want to say he had an epiphany, but it's sort of like
- 9:13that it's just one day he just decided He's like, oh, I think
- 9:16I'm gonna keep that just a random thought, and then that random thought turned
- 9:20into like an eighteen year habit or was it like sometimes like babies will chew
- 9:26their feet, You'll see that, like when they're like they're really small,
- 9:30like they'll chew their feet. And he was like a like a baby,
- 9:31and it's like, ease, are delightful to think that he still does it
- 9:39when no one's around. He just it's just him and his foot, and
- 9:41he just like, yeah, you and trying to laugh through this, but
- 9:46it's you have to. So there are some aspects of me that I am
- 9:54dirty, like I'm dirty but clutter and everything else. But when it comes
- 9:58to like hygiene, like I typically I shower twice a day, I'm very
- 10:03clean. When I tripped, my trip my nails, like I think it's
- 10:07disgusting just looking at them because yeah, they're dirty and everything else. And
- 10:09I do it over the sink and then wash them down immediately. I don't
- 10:13want to see them. Wow sewer they go. Yeah, very ashamed of
- 10:18your nails. What are you doing with those nails that you don't no one
- 10:26can know, no one can know this shame. I know where you've been
- 10:31just gross know where you've been. Just cussing out his own fingers over a
- 10:37sink. Yeah, you filthy bastards. I know where you've been. I
- 10:41know the thing. You're lucky we don't drink anymore. Look at you.
- 10:48He's not just when Trey clips his nails, He's not just trimming the nails.
- 10:54He's also excising some shame. He goes to therapists from for a many
- 11:01Betty's, which which might not be a bad idea for Jerry as well.
- 11:07You want to go just you know, pick up some clippings, talk to
- 11:11an adult. I don't know, I don't know how it works. Stop,
- 11:16I feel some stuff out. Yeah. I feel very confident that if
- 11:18Jerry took his jar of nail trimmings and just went to a mental institution,
- 11:24they would welcome in and with open arms and go, we have a room
- 11:28for you, sir. Or would it be like, hey, let's say
- 11:31you're too weird. No, no, there's no vacancy here. Or in
- 11:33my head is like finally we've been calling you guys for weeks. All the
- 11:37clippings are over there, and like he's the nail clipping clean up guy that
- 11:41they have to go and he's like, oh crap, jackpot, No,
- 11:46I don't know how Like how do you how do you? How do you
- 11:48collect? You have to add like the person that you're with, Like,
- 11:52hey, i' you're gonna be doing your toastday f y, I don't get
- 11:56rid of us. The other weird thing is man still gets laid Yeah,
- 12:01and he brings them on like he's got a girlfriend and I've even you know,
- 12:07anytime he's been in a relationship over the years. One of the first
- 12:09things I ask him when he shares that news with me is does she know
- 12:16I've been on and you know? And you know what His answer is,
- 12:20Yeah, he says, I tell him first date, so that they're already
- 12:22they they're on board. He tells them first date, like as they're eating.
- 12:28I don't know if he if he waits for them to be placing food
- 12:31in their mouth when he's when he pulls out his can of nail shards,
- 12:37Yeah, because I mean he does. Maybe that's an over dessert conversation.
- 12:41I don't know how it works, Like let's get the flaunt and let me
- 12:45tell you about what's in this jar. Well, if you ever been,
- 12:48but I'll tell you you want to talk about really questioning your life. Jerry,
- 12:52can you know, find a girlfriend because he goes on a date and
- 12:54tells them he has a thing and nail clippings and they stay around. I
- 12:58tell a girl I use moisturizer, and yeah, I think. I think
- 13:05what we're learning here is that it's it's it's more about the person. Perhaps
- 13:11because I will say, because I've always said, like the reason I like
- 13:16Jerry's Jerry's kind of this kind of a swordsman. He's he's he's a bit
- 13:20of a ladies man. Yeah, and I've been on I've been on some
- 13:24really terrible dates in my day, but I've never been third wheel to a
- 13:28container of nail clippings. That's a hard one to come back from, like
- 13:35kind to go, well, you know, it was it was me or
- 13:37the clippings. The clippings one that's gonna be so hard for the ego.
- 13:43Maybe maybe what we do then is at the road show that'll be Friday,
- 13:48July seventh, that Daddy Rabbits Pub in Louisville, five to seven pm.
- 13:52Maybe what we do is, first we have Jerry chase tray around the bar
- 13:58with the nail clippings and then see who gets tired first, and see if
- 14:03Jerry actually catches him. And then what we should do is, Trey,
- 14:07you should actually just borrow the nail clippings for your next date. I have
- 14:15a I have a better idea. Why don't um the listeners bring their nail
- 14:22clippings to add to a new container for Jerry to to walk around town with.
- 14:30Uh, you know, because every now and again, Yeah, you
- 14:31need to you need to reload. Don't know what the word is in the
- 14:35nail clipping community, but see, the weird thing is I told Brad at
- 14:39at Daddy Rabbits Pub that we'd bring people who would spend money, not necessarily
- 14:43bring people who would then bring their nail clippings as well. Okay, God,
- 14:48but but what if we tie it in right, if we can figure
- 14:52out of the way, Okay, you have to bring a nail clipping and
- 14:56then buy a shot to cheers Jerry on his new jar. Oh clippings.
- 15:01It's actually funny you mentioned that rage because he did say last time that he
- 15:05was on the brink of having to get a new holder because the other one
- 15:11was getting full. Yeah, that's so you can see the necessity of of
- 15:16a moment like this on July seven, I mean not inside. Maybe we're
- 15:22gonna have it on an outside, like as people are entering in, they
- 15:26have somebody's standing outside with the jar, and then you just dump your Neil
- 15:31clippings in, go to the barn, grab yourself a drink of choice,
- 15:33and then when the jar is full, everybody cheers to Jerry for his nude
- 15:39uh jaro gross. And when you're doing that, you know we're gonna have
- 15:45to put an air tag or an apple tag on Tray to see where he
- 15:48is, because he'll be nowhere near no just like everyone well, sober Tray
- 15:58is a much nicer comment. Tray Tray still has a homicidal streak in him.
- 16:04It's like, did you did you hear about Trey started drinking again?
- 16:07What happened? Bad relationship? They'll clipping murdered on an entire bar full of
- 16:14people, the massacre of Daddy Rabbits, and all of a sudden, everyone
- 16:22in the world gets to hear Trey's full legal names, all all all the
- 16:30major serial killers or spree killers they always have. You know, you get
- 16:33the first middle last name that gets plastered everywhere. Yeah, there's a speak
- 16:38of that there's a great h The only place that defies that rule now is
- 16:42on Netflix. It's serial Killers in India. I'm like, there's not enough
- 16:48time in the episode to do all three names. Oh my god, I
- 16:49just have you watched that entire like series right about the Indian like the different
- 16:57serial killers and everything else. Yeah, that here here, here's even the
- 17:03one of the things, not only one of the things you realize in those
- 17:06doctor is you do not want to be in an Indian prison. No,
- 17:08no, no, They're they're horrible. Yeah, i mean everybody's talking about
- 17:11like how uh you know, like we have to take a prisoner like prisoners
- 17:18have too many rights. I'm like, let's let's take a gandera over in
- 17:22some other countries and you'll be like, hey, you know, concrete slab
- 17:23is nice to sleep on. What he's going on in Indian prisons after after
- 17:30you're after you're beating Yeah they so it's still so the police can still do
- 17:34that, right you're in India, Like your teachers can beat you in class
- 17:38like they can they can bring you up to the front and if you don't
- 17:41answer, they can actually physically beat you. That what what are you in
- 17:48the Old West where we're how old are you trying? I want to I
- 17:52need to know the answer to this, like I'll be I'll be forty nine
- 17:55this year, and and I my principles, like this is my growing up
- 18:02is teachers could had paddles. Principles had paddles. Your football coach had a
- 18:06paddle, and then one of them, per his instructions, would call your
- 18:08father. And so after all of them had had a piece of your ass,
- 18:11you'd go home and your dad would just tee off on you. Yeah,
- 18:15but se trays old enough to know that even the crossing guards had paddles.
- 18:25You're in the visit us online at Treehouse OnAir dot com, which,
- 18:33of course really sucks, because the principal got you, the coach got you,
- 18:36your teacher got you. They told your dad and he was going to
- 18:38get you. But somewhere in between you had to cross the street. Get
- 18:42it just a little bit more time. Not a welcome into the Treehouse.

- 18:55The website with great information all the time is Rodney Anderson dot com, and
- 18:57with great information right now is Rodney Anderson himself. Now, Rodney, I
- 19:03was reading that starting in September, people that have not been having to pay
- 19:07their student loans are going to have to start paying. What is it then,
- 19:11that you're telling these people that are going to have to start paying these
- 19:14things that they got used to not paying for a while. Yeah, start
- 19:17getting your finances under control, because nothing can hurt your budget more than unexpected
- 19:22payments. And I talked to a client the other day doing a cash out
- 19:26refinance. They had fifty thousand dollars in credit card debt, so that was
- 19:30getting in their way. They had eighty thousand dollars of student loan debt that's
- 19:33starting to come due, and between the husband and the wife, they were
- 19:37each going to have to make four hundred dollars payments a month. And Dan,
- 19:41they haven't made those four hundred dollars payments a month each for the last
- 19:45three and a half years. So imagine what that looks like for so many
- 19:48people budget. A lot of people are just sweeping the student loan thing under
- 19:52the ruck. Don't You're getting ready to get letters in the mail going payments
- 19:56or due they're come and do so, get your finances under control, whether
- 20:00you're dealing with credit card debt, home equity, line of credit debt,
- 20:03medical debt, or student loan debt, or any other debt that's hurting your
- 20:07finances. A cash out REFI will be a simple solution that will get you
- 20:12under one payment and get your get you on the road to recover in a
- 20:18financial fast track. And this is why you need to get Rodney and his
- 20:21team a call. They're aware of all these things. They know all they
- 20:23know all their proper avenues to take to get you on the right path.
- 20:27So give him in his team a call right now. It's nine seven to

- 21:15can help walk you through the entire process and make sure that if you indeed
- 21:19need acclaim, they'll make sure you get everything that you need. Cook dfw'
- 21:23roofing and restoration. I can't remember if you told me about this before or
- 21:30not, Trey, but I know Raj hasn't heard it before, talking about
- 21:36corporal punishment in school and how you know the school. If you got spanked
- 21:38at school, then they of course called your parents to tell them that you
- 21:41got spanked at school and then which is not a thing really any anymore these
- 21:45days, and then when you got home you got it again from your dad.
- 21:49But your dad had had a very specific tool for the job. Oh
- 21:57yeah, yeah, dad. Dad took his whipping seriously. So if you
- 22:02remember back in the day, you probably have to be over at least thirty
- 22:06five to even remember these. Uh, they used to make these, you
- 22:10know, I call it like a country western belt. They were all the
- 22:12rage and like the eighties, and you could have your name engraved on the
- 22:15back which it was like a double piece of leather and really thick. So
- 22:19Dad had one mate and it just said belt, not the belt. So
- 22:26not only is it is it labeling itself, but it was actually its name.
- 22:30Yes, yeah, but it was built a person like who go get
- 22:34built? Yeah, Like it's like it's like the Gimp from Pulpicion, Like
- 22:40at the Gimp, go get built. That's exactly when I was in trouble,
- 22:45Dad would point to the closet and to go get built. Oh,
- 22:48belt was in the closet. Belt wasn't just in the closet. Belts belt.
- 22:56Belt had had its own special little hangar and you know it could have
- 23:00had lights and some candles underneath it, like it was a little shrine.
- 23:03But exactly there was a little shrine to a little shrine to child abuse.
- 23:10Yeah yeah, because it had a special place for this very reason is not
- 23:14only would I have to go get belt and Dad would whip my ass with
- 23:17belt, but then I had to go put up belt and afterwards and you
- 23:23know, when you're a kid, you think, hmm okay, oh hide
- 23:29belt that way. Yeah, it didn't work out well because that's why there
- 23:33was the whole process, because do that, then you got an extra whipping
- 23:37for trying to hide belt. Get in my head, like my head works
- 23:41like a movie, right, so in like in my head, I just
- 23:42see like a truck going down like a dirt road. There's just a guy
- 23:47smoking a cigarette talking. It's like, you know, it's been a long
- 23:49day and it's been tough out there factory and it just as the camera zooms
- 23:55out in the passenger's seat is just belt and it's got a cigarette too.
- 24:02It was like, you know what I mean, belt, belt never says
- 24:03anything. Was like and then your dad gets pulled over, like, sir,
- 24:07you know you went off a dirt road, but onto the on the
- 24:11highway and you're in the HIV lane and by yourself. Was like, no,
- 24:12ma'am, I'm not by myself. That's how the horror movie starts.
- 24:22If if, if you, if you reconstruct your movie idea, but make
- 24:26it more rural and dirt roads. Yes, small town country cop. Yes,
- 24:32pulled over, dad's smoking a cigarette. Absolutely yeah. And the officer
- 24:37then no, belt, I was belt. Only difference is, you know
- 24:41my dad would be there smoking on it's Carlton going sorry, officer, we
- 24:48got some business to take care of. Mis behave And the officer would be
- 24:52like, I'll give you a police escort. Sorry, officer, because belt
- 24:55small town life. Sorry, officer, Belt's been drinking. And as the
- 25:00officer walks back to his vehicle to give you the escort. That's when the
- 25:03camera zooms in on the back of the police officer's belt and it says gun
- 25:07belt. Yeah that's what I Yeah, see I got Mine was the exact
- 25:12exact opposite. Like my mother beat me so much. She's the one who
- 25:17called the school to let them know that. So it actually worked in reverse.
- 25:22So the school and said, hey, rage was bad at home,
- 25:25so I beat him. I want to make sure you get him when he
- 25:27gets to school. Yeah. Basically like if you feel like the job at
- 25:32home was done, but if you feel like there should be more by all
- 25:34means, but I'm sending him to you. The cross guards looked at me
- 25:40like I'm really sorry. After due it was like dead men walking, like
- 25:41I'm really sorry about this. Nothing personal, it's just as as he brings
- 25:52the executioner's hood over his face slowly, Tom Hanks was crying in a corner
- 25:57somewhere like the green It's okay, oh my god, oh the good old
- 26:08days of ass whippings. A funny thing is like small town life is.
- 26:15So I look back on it and it's so surreal. There was this one
- 26:18day there was this little gas station off the square and Leonard and I popped
- 26:22off to my dad, and the guy who ran you know, ran the
- 26:26gas station was there, yo, chief yass police department, a couple other
- 26:34people, and I popped off to my dad, and my dad sat there
- 26:37and chase me around the car. I don't know how I probably it wasn't
- 26:42that long, probably thirty seconds. It felt like for an eternity. Yeah,
- 26:47and everyone is just on the ground, laughing their ass off. No
- 26:49one's trying to do a damn thing. No one's trying to force any of
- 26:53the law is currently being broken. No, you know, if people have
- 27:00been if there were cameras back then, people would have been recording it.
- 27:03Just you know. I just want to know that it was because it was
- 27:07because it was funny, not because there was some law being broken. Yeah.
- 27:10No, I'm sure that video would have been very popular on on on
- 27:12World Star. Just the conversation like why was he chased him around? Belts
- 27:18locked up? Speaking of that, where did you try to hide belt?
- 27:23Trey? Um, why are we calling it belt? It's got a name,
- 27:32but it seems rude not to use the name you have your last name.
- 27:36Was it belt. The belt got bab I don't. I don't think
- 27:45it needed a last name. It was just belt. You could have,
- 27:48especially around Leonard, you could have just written an envelope labeled rest the Belt
- 27:52and put it in the post office. You guys, You guys are getting
- 27:56sales calls like, Hey, is your mom and dad home? No?
- 27:59Is there? No, they're adult around I could talk to here. One
- 28:03day, a kid shows up at the door asks for belt. I think
- 28:14you're my father, And that's the that's the one day that belt could not
- 28:22be found. It's like, I don't recognize him. A kid turns around
- 28:27and just pull his pants down. I'm like, do you know this ass?
- 28:32That's my bullet? Oh God? Speaking of kids, all right,
- 28:38I gotta I gotta share this with you because, uh, not only does
- 28:42it tie in with children, but it's also it's also a painful story.
- 28:47So we were we were doing an event recently with with TERA's work here and
- 28:55we have a couple of uh I almost said kids, but they're not.
- 29:00I mean they're adults. They're like twenty one years old, A couple of
- 29:03employees of hers, right, and we were setting some tables and things at
- 29:11this outdoor event, and it's me and these two employees. It's male and
- 29:15a female. They're actually boyfriend girlfriend they lived together, and like I said,
- 29:19they're twenty one. And this person at the event is asking me questions
- 29:23about various things, and I keep responding with we because I'm talking about me
- 29:29and Tara, right, And they're like, oh, where do you live
- 29:32there? Well, we live on SAYT Thomas. We have a house and
- 29:33blah blah blah. And then somewhere in the middle of that, this person
- 29:40then decides to ask, oh, are these your children? Okay? And
- 29:48I swear you could see my soul leave my body because it's the first time
- 29:52in my life that someone assumed two younger people I was with were my kids.
- 30:00And I am still reeling from that, and and it really doesn't help
- 30:06that Tara was not right there for it, so they just assumed that they
- 30:11were my kids. And and then she likes to bring that up constantly,
- 30:17and she keeps referring to me as as as old man. Ah See,
- 30:22that's when I would have taken the opportunity to explain how Tara left me with
- 30:25two kids, just throwing her under the bus, like yeah, you know,
- 30:30the mom left. We're here visiting her at work that she left them
- 30:33before that they've been doing this work since since they were five. It's the
- 30:38business is actually named after them, but it really was. I mean it
- 30:45ranks up there with finding my first gray chest hair. Yeah, like,
- 30:49oh come on, these are these are not my Look technically, am I
- 30:53old enough to be their father? Yes, but that would have meant that
- 30:57I would have you know, it's it's that that means I would have had
- 31:02them when I was twenty that's still pretty young. But I just I,
- 31:06you know what, I don't like it. Yeah, yeah, the first
- 31:10time. So in India, every every older, every older man is uncle
- 31:15and every older but he's auntie okay. And so I remember a little kid,
- 31:19like little kids like four year olds like uncle, can we have ice
- 31:22cream? And I'm like, yeah, that's cool. I'm like all right,
- 31:25man, I'm four. I was thinking. I was thinking like forty
- 31:26three or forty four, three forty three and I was like yeah. And
- 31:30then I went to go get a charger. I lost the block for my
- 31:34uh iPhone. And they have these little these little huts that you go up
- 31:38to. They're like shocks and there's kind of a guy sitting there and he's
- 31:41got all the chargers and all the blocks and he goes, uh, he's
- 31:45probably twenty five twenty six and he goes, uh, what do you need
- 31:48today? Uncle? And I was like, I will slap oh, no,
- 31:52slap you in your mouth. Filthy, filthy human bro. What happened
- 31:57to bro? And then on stage now I'll get like I told you,
- 32:04like it's weird, like going viral and all that on on the gram.
- 32:08Um, my audience is like twenty two to twenty five now. And when
- 32:14I'm when I'm talking to them, like you know, I do a lot
- 32:15of crowd work, but when I talked to them, I get uh,
- 32:17they response like, so you guys married? Yes, sir, m we
- 32:22don't have to there's no hey, we're in a safe place. This is
- 32:27not a formal venue. Belt's not here. You know, like you get
- 32:34called sir enough times then you might wish you had belt sir. Yeah,
- 32:37I get that a lot. How are you? Sir? And I'm like,
- 32:40we don't dude, Bro, like where's where? And where did that
- 32:45go? Man? I could appreciate a bro every now and again, but
- 32:49now you'll have this now, Dad, You'll you'll embrace it. Oh you'll
- 32:52you'll want somebody to think that. It says a lot about you. It
- 32:57says you have this uh personality that says, I am responding, I can
- 33:02be responsible for two other lives. That's what it kind of, that's what
- 33:07because it is that what you tell yourself your just to try to make yourself
- 33:12feel better. Because that doesn't make me feel better. It just yeah,
- 33:15I mean I haven't had the is the is the kid yours thing? Yet?
- 33:20And I'm forty seven. Uh, but I haven't had the is that
- 33:24your kid? I haven't had that yet, So it's I mean, it's
- 33:29inevitable it'll happen. Uncle already happened, And sir, I get that.
- 33:32But I'm sure, like kid isn't like is that You're just I'm like,
- 33:36no, it's it's a white kid. Can't be Were these two other white
- 33:40kids? Yeah? Yeah, and that's I mean too, is they don't
- 33:45that we we we look nothing alike. Now, I will say this,
- 33:49I didn't think about this, uh angle until just now. It had to
- 33:52be weird for them because that stranger assumed that instead of them being boyfriend girlfriend,
- 33:58they thought they were siblings. Oh yeah, that's weird. Yeah,
- 34:02that's all on that's on that person. That person's weird, Like could you
- 34:07have been maybe like an older brother, like like they were like a white
- 34:12wine accident like they the age gap was because it was like Netflix and Chill
- 34:16happened. Honestly to me, they look they look nothing alike and uh like
- 34:23she's got fair skin, he's very tan. Um, he's tall and thin,
- 34:28and neither of them look anything like me. It's it's just bad across
- 34:34the board. Yeah, that's just it just sucks to have that that first
- 34:37time when someone sees you near younger people and then they assume that they're your
- 34:44offspring. It's just like, oh, just like a knife right to the
- 34:47chest. You went from having no children to adult children, which honestly is
- 34:57not a bad way to go because then you just skip over. You don't
- 34:59have to about any of the dirty diapers, you don't have to worry about
- 35:01having, you know, having to talk with them about very you know,
- 35:05so there might be advantages to it. I mean at least and they got
- 35:09the jobs, so at least anything to say you raised the responsible kids.
- 35:15Like the Google reviews, like, you know, they came in with their
- 35:16kids, and it's a family business. Everybody works together. I think that's
- 35:22that's a very sweet little subtext to your business. I haven't had, Trey,
- 35:29have you had the uh have you had the been mistaken for someone's being
- 35:34responsible for someone not that was an adult, Okay, Tray Trey was asked,
- 35:42ye, are those your kids? And they were actually kids, So
- 35:45that's not gonna, that's not gonna. That's okay. Yeah, that's kind
- 35:47of sweet. And it's when they were and a couple of dates that you
- 35:52know, they thought they were out with their old man. See now that's
- 35:57different. Well, don't make you feel cool, yeah, because then you
- 36:01just feel like George Clooney. Yeah, yeah, Yeah, there's a there's
- 36:07a very fine line between like going from like creepy guy to George Clooney to
- 36:12like Hugh Hefner, Like that's a you could be creepy guy or always she's
- 36:15having a date with her dad And I was like, oh, it's home
- 36:19care, Like is that your ta treehouse OnAir dot com. Let's welcome in
- 36:44Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration. Here in the treehouse. The
- 36:47phone number eight three three Cook DFW. That's eight three three cook DFW or
- 36:52the website cook dfw dot com. Let's say the inevitable happens, storm rolls
- 36:57through and just unfortunately decimate somebody's home. The first thing they need to do
- 37:01is give you a call at eight three three Cook DFW. They also need
- 37:05to call their insurance, but that's not where it stops. You will actually
- 37:09help that homeowner work with their insurance company. Right, absolutely, Dan,
- 37:13And really a majority of the time, unless it's a huge storm, we
- 37:16would highly suggest calling us out there to verify the level of damage because not
- 37:22all storms are the same, and just because there's a large storm in the
- 37:25neighborhood may not mean that your house has a lot of damage. You may
- 37:29have tree coverage, you may have other things. But the real problem is
- 37:31that people will try to go and call insurance. They'll do the claim process
- 37:37themselves. They just think that their insurance is going to follow everything for of
- 37:40them and take care of them. Well, then we get on the property
- 37:43and we figure out, you know what, they forgot to look at the
- 37:45garage door and had big dents in it. Oh, they only covered five
- 37:47hundred linear feet a fence, and this fence actually is a thousand because it's
- 37:51both sides are their pull equipment may have got damaged and they didn't see that
- 37:55right away, and so now it puts the homeowner in the middle of getting
- 37:59their home taken care of because we weren't on site with the entrance company verifying
- 38:02the level of damage and walking with that adjuster making sure that their customer was
- 38:07fully justified in their claim. Because they're going to have a claim, our
- 38:09goal is to make sure they maximize their claiming they get everything that they're entitled
- 38:14to to get their home and their property back to pre loss condition. This
- 38:17is why you need the help of an expert, and this is why we
- 38:20recommend in the treehouse Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration. Let them help you by
- 38:24calling eight three three Cook DFW eight three three Cook DFW or cookdfw dot com.
- 38:31Visit us online that treehouse fire dot com. Let's welcome Jackline from Brooks
- 38:38Plumbing into the Treehouse their phone number two one four three six eight thirty eight
- 38:43thirty eight the website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. I know that you've said
- 38:46before that you like to help people that are going through the home buying process
- 38:52on the plumbing side, because sometimes you need a professional to take a look
- 38:55at that property that you're considering buying. Right absolutely, I'm working with a
- 39:00gentleman. I'm about to when I hang up with you, I'm going to
- 39:02go inside and we're going to do a three way conference call between him and
- 39:07his realator and we're going to talk about how the defects in his sewer system
- 39:10and the leaking plumbing are going to be his buying power at the closing table.
- 39:15When you've got a leaking sewer, if you're going to buy a house,
- 39:16all you're gonna do is make a five minute phone call to let me
- 39:20come look at it two hundred dollars. Let's find out if you've got a
- 39:22thirty thousand dollar problem or a headache that you're looking at in the future.
- 39:27So we're going to go in and we're going to talk with his realator about
- 39:30how he can ask for an allowance at the closing to get the plumbing fixed
- 39:32so he's not inheriting the seller's problem, because why should he pay out a
- 39:37pocket for something that's already defective on the house. He called me an advance
- 39:42and he's going to save thirty thousand dollars on his sale and he's going to
- 39:45put it towards the plumbing and he won't have to come out a pocket for
- 39:47it. What a good position to be in. And this is why you
- 39:51need to make sure that you've got an excellent plumber in your back pocket.
- 39:53I recommend Jacqueline and Rooks Plumbing the website Rooks Plumbing Texas dot com the phone

- 41:07Rage. There's something I need to bring up with you that's very troubling.
- 41:13I know you don't work for me, but I feel like it's important that
- 41:15we're on the same page as far as you know, things that you post
- 41:20on social media and the affiliation with the show. I don't want people thinking
- 41:24that I agree with some of the crazy sentiments that you post. Oh,
- 41:30I understand. We can do the disclaimer, like the views and opinions of
- 41:35rash Armor, not that of the Treehouse Podcast. Yeah, because I feel
- 41:37like it's it's it's very much needed right now because you you posted something very
- 41:43shocking recently and we need to discuss it. Okay, Trey, this is
- 41:49what Raj posted the other day. Raj said, this is on Facebook.
- 41:53Let's play a fun game. Share something you've never eaten, a show you've
- 41:59never watched, or a movie you've never seen. I think it will let
- 42:01you know a little bit more about someone I'll start. Raj then goes on
- 42:06to say, I've never watched one episode of SpongeBob square Pants. You know
- 42:10what, I'm okay with that, Rags. That's I don't think I've seen
- 42:15one either. So you and I are on the same page there. But
- 42:16that's that's where that's where it ends. Because it was, I mean,
- 42:21it was, it was, I mean, I was, I was,
- 42:22I was grown when it was. It was a thing. Yeah. The
- 42:24last cartoon I watched watched was salth Park South part YEP. Well, then
- 42:31then then, Roj, you go on to say I've never eaten Chipotle or
- 42:37seen the Goonies, and that's where you lost me. Man, I think
- 42:39it's very Oh yeah, you don't know this. That's all I know.
- 42:45I I honest to God. When when we come back to town in July
- 42:52for the road show, one of the first places I'm going to go to
- 42:55is Chipotle. I love Chipotle. I've I've eaten Chipotle probably too many times.
- 43:02Um, but I thoroughly enjoyed, especially because it's it's kind of a
- 43:07healthy option and that's why I like it, and it tastes good. I
- 43:12know some people think it's gross. I'm not one of them. I love
- 43:14Chipotle, but you have never seen the goonies, and I just have just
- 43:21troubling to me. Can you believe all this Trey? I No, I'm
- 43:27actually I think I'm more surprised that he's never eating at Chipotle. I thought
- 43:32everyone's eating at Chipotle at least once. Yeah, everyone should have that experience.
- 43:37Good are bad? I have not. I have not. I've never
- 43:39needed a burrito the size of a toddler, and uh, I don't.
- 43:44I lived on those things in my twenties because back when we were still starting
- 43:49out or I was still starting out in radio um and whenever free food showed
- 43:53up in the break room, beggars can't be choosers. And that was how
- 43:58Chipotle really got started with getting the word out. They didn't advertise a ton,
- 44:01but they knew they were smart. They're like, Aha, let's go
- 44:06get these huge ass burritos in the hands of poor radio people and they'll get
- 44:09on the radio and talk about it for free. So there wasn't that.
- 44:14Wasn't that freebird's idea? Didn't they do that? Yeah? Yeah, my
- 44:20understanding was that Chipotle came first. But I can't tell you, man,
- 44:22it was a glorious day when I'd go to that CBS radio break room.
- 44:27What I thought I was going to get a really terrible cup of coffee,
- 44:30and then like the Holy Grail is sitting there on the table. It's a
- 44:32mountain of Chipotle burritos and I could eat that all day. Wow. No,
- 44:37never had Chipotle, And uh, I can't believe you don't. So
- 44:42I think I told you this a long time ago, and I know you
- 44:44forget a lot, but we were also at a bar, so I'm sure,
- 44:47oh yeah, more reasonably, I kind of, I can't. I
- 44:50kind of came clean to you about the whole Goonies Christmas story, um,
- 44:57all of that stuff. And I don't know if you remember this. So
- 44:59I remember you told me a long time ago that you had never seen a
- 45:02Christmas Story, which I thought was shocking at the time, and I still
- 45:07kind of do. But then you went and watched it. And what was
- 45:09more shocking is the fact that you watched it and came back to me and
- 45:13said you hated it. It's a garbage It's a garbage movie. U and
- 45:16I and I and I've I've met and I've had the pleasure of meeting and
- 45:20he's a wonderful guy. And getting to know Peter Billingsley when I was out
- 45:24in La, who played who played Ralphie played him? And then he did
- 45:28the reboot of it as well, so um and uh we were I was
- 45:32in LA and I thought I was talking to you, like in that vein
- 45:37where I'm like talking to Peter, and I go I saw that I saw
- 45:40the movie. Crap. The look on his face was like, fu,
- 45:45bro, yeah she should like, why are you telling me this? I'll
- 45:49go no, But you don't understand. I saw it like two years ago.
- 45:52It goes, oh, yeah, then you definitely won't like it.
- 45:55I didn't see it as a kid. There's no nostalgia for me, right,
- 45:58so I'm watching it with fresh eyes. It goes, yeah, you
- 46:00will definitely not. And then we were cool again. I was like,
- 46:02okay, But what what happened is when we were doing the Daniel Mally Show
- 46:07on Saturdays, is he would bring up a reference from like Christmas Story,
- 46:12which I've never seen that one either. No Christmas Vacation, I haven't seen
- 46:15either. I haven't seen what I know. I agree with you on a
- 46:21Christmas story. Oh good, yay. See. Yeah, I'm with you
- 46:27on that. It's a crap movie. Yeah, I know me, you
- 46:29and Belt were never gonna watch that movie. Yeah. But apparently, Roj,
- 46:32you're still living in controversy because you just shocked Tray by saying you've never
- 46:36seen Christmas Vacation and now Vacation never seen. So when people go whatever's full
- 46:44or whatever it is, I don't, I don't understand. Like I here,
- 46:47So here's what happened on the radio. So I had never seen movies
- 46:51and you referenced them then all the time, and you and whoever was in
- 46:55the studio would laugh, and so I would. If you go back and
- 47:00listen to old audio, you guys, you'll make a reference and then people
- 47:04start laughing. Like a second later, I'll start laughing too, because we're
- 47:07like, oh, yeah, I know exactly, And I have no clue
- 47:09what reference you've made. I don't know what movie it's from. And you're
- 47:13like, oh, you know that, you know Rod's from Christmas Christmas Vacation.
- 47:15I'm like, of course. And then I felt so dirty, and
- 47:20this is where these posts come from, as I felt so much shame that
- 47:22I was lying to one of my best friends. Yeah, about movies,
- 47:25and we never taught We never talked about them like off the air or when
- 47:29we're out having like lunch or having a drink or watching a game. We
- 47:32never really never discussed it, something like my secret is safe. He will
- 47:37never know. So you see, now, Trey, why why it is
- 47:39that me and Raj's friendship is built on a lie? Yeah, you know
- 47:47what, I can't even from it. And now and now I come to
- 47:51find out now he's not eating at Chaboltle ever, and he's never seen the
- 47:54Goonies. Damn it. Man, I mean you're talking about one of the
- 48:00greatest athletes turned actors in the history of the world in John matus Oh,
- 48:07okay, if it was a corn I don't think. I don't think.
- 48:10I don't think Corey Feldman was ever an athlete. Um, But I mean
- 48:14John Matuzac, who plays Sloth. I think the only other role that Mike
- 48:19possibly eclipse his role as Sloth might have been the one he did in Ice
- 48:23Pirates Pirates way back in the day. But okay, because I heard that
- 48:30different in my in my aunt phones and I'm like, man, his career
- 48:31took a shift. Yeah, but when he walks in the room screaming,
- 48:37hey you guys again, No idea what that means. You're laughing, You're
- 48:45you're laughing and you're lying at the same time. I don't know what.
- 48:50I don't know what that means. Thank you guys. Jesus, hey you
- 48:53guys. That a catchphrase in the movie. That's what Sloth would say to
- 48:58the other goonies. He'd he'd yell at like saying, it's a it's a
- 49:00greeting. It's they were like, they're like a gang. It's not a
- 49:06gang. It's just friends. They're friends who who were squad squad, right,
- 49:13that's what I'm thinking. It's a it's a group of children who were
- 49:15being forced out of their homes because a developer was buying up all their homes
- 49:20and they were going to be forced to move and they would no longer be
- 49:22friends because they'd live, you know, uh, live apart. And so
- 49:27they had to go on this adventure to find a treasure as a gang while
- 49:32being chased by an an actual gang that was also a family who rival gang.
- 49:38Who's not a rival gang. It's it's people that broke out of prison
- 49:43and we're trying to so this is just so, this is just like,
- 49:47so are they were they all white? I'm guessing sounds like it was an
- 49:52It was an eighties movie. They had an Asian friend and an Asian friend
- 49:58and whose name was Data. I mean you might as well have just named
- 50:02him stereotype, which, by the way, the kid that played Data is
- 50:07I can't remember his full name. It's uh a short round from Indiana Jones.
- 50:13That yeah, exactly, Okay, Yeah, I know something kwan,
- 50:19Yeah, it's yea. I never I've only seen okay, and then when
- 50:24it comes to that movie with short stop, I've only seen one clip of
- 50:28them. You've only seen one clip of Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom.
- 50:32I've seen the where I'm rich boy, the Bollywood actors doing the whole
- 50:37Claudi maschaft day thing. I've seen that. Thank god you've seen that,
- 50:39because how many times can I reference that movie? And if you had not
- 50:42known what that was. But you're laughing at me saying Kellie maa over the
- 50:45years, I have to just crush me. No, I shouldn't be laughing
- 50:49at that, because the way you say it is brilliantly good. So I'm
- 50:51like, so, I'm like, have you seen the other Indiana Jones movies.
- 50:55I've seen Raiders of the Lost art well all the way through, but
- 51:00you've never seen Temple of Doom. You lost because I was at that age
- 51:04where I'm like in elementary school and I'm like, people are having like sleepovers,
- 51:07and I want people to come and like hang out with me because I
- 51:08wanted friends. And then I saw the dinner scene and I'm like, oh,
- 51:12man, that's why nobody wants to hang out, because that's where they
- 51:15think they're gonna eat at my house, like monkey brains and boiled eyes.
- 51:19I'm like, come out, live baby snakes. Yeah. And I'm like,
- 51:22you know, hey, man, it's just it's just chicken curry.
- 51:25There's no eyeballs in it, like my mom. My mom doesn't do that.
- 51:29And I'm like, now i know why no one accepts the invitations to
- 51:31my birthday parties. Screw this movie. So I just kind of was so
- 51:36no. I never saw it all the way through. If I mean,
- 51:37I'm sure I would like it. Now it's Harrison Ford. I mean,
- 51:39I don't know how you don't like it, but I mean the Gooney sounds
- 51:45like, first of all, a street gang of youth, a youth gang
- 51:50going against uh developers who are trying to better the neighborhood. That's what I'm
- 51:53assuming. They're trying to gentrify the area that they're all trust me, it's
- 52:00it's the eighties and it's a movie about kids. That neighborhood is plenty gentrified.
- 52:04Okay. So so it's a bunch of white kids with one Asian kid
- 52:07because every high school needs a valuivet toy. So um, Okay, yeah,
- 52:15I mean I don't think. I don't think it would be good.
- 52:15If it would it be good if I watched it, Okay, think about
- 52:19it with fresh eyes. If I watched it now, would it be good?
- 52:22I have no idea because I don't know how I can remove my rose
- 52:24colored glasses. Okay, because I yeah, that's just not like I would.
- 52:29I could never imagine a scenario in my life. Or my dad's like,
- 52:32what are you doing today, I'm like nothing, what's going on in
- 52:36the school? Watch the Goonies. I just want to hear your dad say
- 52:42goonies never die everywhere because boonies never die, but but apparently they do because
- 52:51they overdose in Hollywood. I don't know what happens. But wow, wow,
- 52:58you're not wrong, but I just yeah, it's a harrish turn.
- 53:00Yeah, I mean, I yeah, there's a lot a lot of the
- 53:02eighties movies I didn't see. My dad was not a big like well,
- 53:07he like he dropped me off to see Top Gun, Like he didn't even
- 53:10come in with me. He's just like he was there to buy the ticket
- 53:13because I think it was PG. Thirteen and I think I was eleven,
- 53:17and he was like there to buy the ticket and then like he just left.
- 53:20He's like he was the pay phone, because that was the thing,
- 53:22was a payphone when you're done in the movie. Theater was right around the
- 53:25corner. But he didn't he didn't want to. He was an old school
- 53:29like he liked Hollywood movies and then westerns though, like his favorite actor was
- 53:34Gregory Pecks. Gregory Peck was or Youl Brenner. They weren't. I'm assuming
- 53:38you'll Brenner's not in the Gooneies. Not not last time I saw him,
- 53:42now, Okay, I mean, because if he was, Dad would be
- 53:45like referencing, like he would be like that's a good movie. He did.
- 53:49Bren I'm like, well, gooneys. Look at it this way,
- 53:52if if you want to go see it. I never I never forced people.
- 53:55It's like, if you want to see something, go for it.
- 53:58If you don't, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna wor it on you.
- 54:00Unlike the rest of the world, it seems I'm not one to push my
- 54:02beliefs onto other people. But I will say this. I will say that
- 54:07Goonies has a strong pedigree outside of just you know the fact that it's a
- 54:13it's a fun eighties movie that a lot of us, like including me and
- 54:15Trey, kind of grew up on. Is I think it's if I remember
- 54:20correctly, it was directed by Richard Donner and who also did the Lethal who
- 54:24watched indeed Lethal Weapon? Yes? Yes, And it was executive produced by
- 54:31Steven Spielberg. Oh gotcha? Okay? And I for some reason, I
- 54:37keep seeing this video on my Twitter feed. And after they were done filming
- 54:42that movie where they basically, you know, they spent months on end and
- 54:45Richard Donner, the director, what is it in Hollywood rise that they always
- 54:50tell you never to work with children and animals? Animals and children. In
- 54:54this movie, it's almost entirely kids. So Richard honor. The directors spent
- 55:00months with these children, hours a day for days in a row, and
- 55:06the one thing he wanted to do when they rapped shooting was go home to
- 55:09Hawaii and be left alone. So so there's a video that keeps coming back
- 55:16around on my Twitter feed that Steven Spielberg thought the best thing he could do
- 55:22for Richard Donner as a rap present was to send every single one of those
- 55:28kids to his house, all at the same time when the man's trying to
- 55:37relax and get away from these kids. Steven Spielberg paid for all of them
- 55:42to go say Hi, Now I'm gonna go watch the Goodies. No,
- 55:46I have to watch this. Yeah, so any like eighties reference. The
- 55:50only the only reason I would laugh in studio is when you would laugh.
- 55:53And I just didn't want to be It was one of the I wanted to
- 55:55be included. It comes from a very sadly, it really does. I
- 56:01just wanted to I just wanted to be part of the gang, like the
- 56:04Doonies, Like well now you are you, you you have been for many
- 56:07years and you and you continue to be part of our Treehouse gang. There
- 56:12you go and uh and yeah, but if you reference any eighties movie,
- 56:15there's a really good chance I didn't see it. Dan, when's the last
- 56:21time you watch the Goonies. It's been a minute, it's been a minute.
- 56:23See but I know I know it by heart. Well, I I'm
- 56:28I haven't seen it in decades, and like, I feel like now I
- 56:30need to go back and watch it to see if it still holds up.
- 56:32Because those eight eighties movies are funny because they can go it's kind of fifty
- 56:37fifty, isn't it? Yeah, because I remember going back and we're in
- 56:40rewatching uh Duke's a hazard. One time I thought, my god, this
- 56:45is terrible. How did this everything I had? I had my um,
- 56:51nephews and niece watch uh heehaw and were mortified. They're like, this is
- 56:58the worst. This is so misogynistic, this is so this, this is
- 57:01so bad. I'm like, I'm like, but they'd like to tell jokes.
- 57:05They pop out of the corn and then they tell jokes like these jokes
- 57:09are so awful. I'm like, but nope, but they were good.
- 57:12The movie that that that is cringingly bad like in and it was hilarious at
- 57:19the time. But Revenge of the Nerds, Oh, really wow. Yeah,
- 57:23I mean it's every stereotype and you know, topped off with rape as
- 57:30they cherry on top of Oh yeah, I mean, well look it does
- 57:35the title ro Did you ever see Revenge of the Nerds. I don't think
- 57:38I've seen it all, I know, I know. There's the guy with
- 57:40the glasses. There's a few of those. Yeah, there's the ming guy.
- 57:45He was kind of a thing. He was hot for a minute,
- 57:47and I think he made it like a little comeback like the Anthony Edwards you
- 57:51know, yeah he yeah, goog no goose. There's the guy that played
- 57:58the Wells, say, the guy that played Booker. But if if you
- 58:01don't know him, I know, I know, I know that reference because
- 58:06um I think he was in Van Wilder. Yeah, I think so.
- 58:09Yeah, yeah, no Tres Trey. Yeah, I mean the movie was
- 58:13called Revenge of the Nerds. I mean, nowhere is it implied that their
- 58:15revenge is going to be legal, because everything that the Nerds do to their
- 58:22rival fraternity would would would get you multiple felonies. But just I mean,
- 58:30just the stereotypes alone are just bad. YEA, they have an Indian kid?
- 58:37Did they have an Indian there? They did have didn't they have an
- 58:39afford exchange Asian kid? Oh that the Asian kid. It was the eighties.
- 58:45So if it was, was it long duck um? Now that's pretty
- 58:51impati Yeah. See, if it was the eighties, that was the whole
- 58:53thing as they were going because the whole Japanese technology takeover, So there was
- 58:57a Hollywood pop culture thing as they were like making the the Japanese foreign exchange
- 59:02student like dumb and like naive, and that was the whole idea behind that.
- 59:07So um. And then in the late nineties it was people so uh
- 59:13but no, I mean I haven't seen I think I saw the Porkies.
- 59:16I think I saw like part of that. Oh my god, like just
- 59:20a beginning maybe I think of that. But I know we should have a
- 59:23we should have we should do this one day and and then get the fans
- 59:27involved and have a screening of the Goonies. Um, not not this July
- 59:31seven, but the next time you come back. Maybe we can do that.
- 59:34Maybe if it's around the holidays, we can do a Christmas story and
- 59:37you can see my utter disdain for them. He doesn't know how to say
- 59:42fragile, Like that's what drives me bananas. He's, he's, he's,
- 59:46it's, it's it's a Midwest town, that's, it's. It's taking place
- 59:50in like what the forties or something. It's very all dumb. He did,
- 59:53he's. This man's never been to Italy. He's from Podunk, Indiana.
- 59:58And it takes on in the forties, because a reboot that would have
- 1:00:00made Peter Billingsley nine years old. Well in the reboot if I think it
- 1:00:05takes place in the seventies, oh it does. Yeah, I didn't see
- 1:00:08that one either, but I did. I don't like his because it's about
- 1:00:14it's garbage. Oh see, Okay, So I'm like you though, I'm
- 1:00:16not gonna tell Peter Billingsley that very kind of give. I was just giving
- 1:00:23the man an honest critique of his art that he didn't ask for. No,
- 1:00:28no, no, you're like a walking Internet. But they, in
- 1:00:30my defense, they didn't give me tequila. And I was like, hey,
- 1:00:35listen, I'm just gonna tell you, we just did a shot it
- 1:00:37down to Hlio. Your movies kind of garbage. That sounds like some next
- 1:00:40level of gas lighting. I'm gonna I'm gonna say some really terrible things to
- 1:00:44your face. But it's your fault because because you gave me tequila. Be
- 1:00:55sure to follow all things Treehouse at Treehouse on A. For me, it's
