- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: This is Turley Talks.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: Do you believe in karma because just when the left wing activists at CNN thought things couldn't possibly get any worse, a stunning new development emerged behind the scenes and involves one of the last people on Earth they would ever want anywhere near their fledgling network.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: The mere possibility already as Insiders reportedly panicking, and once you discover who may be preparing to walk through CNN's front door, you'll understand why.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Stick them in the very end of this video because we're about to see how this story is far bigger than one corporate takeover.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: It signals nothing less than the beginning of an entirely new era for American media and why the old legacy media is coming to a decisive end.

- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: today.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's dive right in here, Guy.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this is just beyond glorious.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this is where you fully come to appreciate that reality is far more astonishing than fiction.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: According to multiple reports, not only is a pro-Trump ally taking over CNN by way of paramounts acquisition, but that very same pro-Trump ally is reportedly courting none other than
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: to buy in as a part owner of CNN.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you were that right.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: You could not possibly have scripted a more deliciously carmic outcome for the most distrusted name in fake news.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: According to multiple reports, Paramount CEO David Ellison, a very close ally president and Trump.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: is assembling a syndicate of wealthy investors to provide fresh equity for this enormous multi-billion dollar media acquisition and there's one name that's surface among the possible investors that has the ultra-leftist disguise as journalists at CNN in abject panic and that is the one and only see a one and only Elon Musk.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now let me say that again slowly just so it sinks in.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: Elon Musk might own part of CNN.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if Musk does invest, he would end up holding an ownership stake in a company that controls two of the largest television news operations in America, CBS news, and CNN.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: It would also control HBO, HBO Max, Paramount Plus, Warner Brothers, Discovery, TNT, TBS, Nickelodeon,
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: a comedy central the cartoon network and one of the largest collections of entertainment franchises on the planet we're talking about you know Batman Superman Harry Potter Lord of the Rings game of thrones star trek mission impossible top gun transformers
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't merely some cable television deal.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, this is the construction of a massive new media empire.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: And Elon Musk may soon own a piece of it.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I mean, first Twitter now this, it's beyond extraordinary.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, why Elon?
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, simply put, it's because the elephants and Elon Musk go way, way, way back.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: Larry Ellison, so the father David Ellison, previously invested approximately a billion dollars in Musk's 2022 takeover Twitter now acts, of course.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: Ellison also invested in Tesla and served on the electric car companies board.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: And now in a fact, the favor is being returned.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: So Larry Ellison is reportedly guaranteed more than $40 billion of the equity financing behind Paramount's Warner Brothers acquisition, bringing Musk and other wealthy investors into that transaction would reduce Ellison's personal financial exposure while providing the combined company with additional capital.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: And so it would be a win-win.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you're not up to speed on what's been going on and why this week is probably CNN's worst week of their lives, it was just announced that Paramount had settled the Anti-Trust lawsuit brought by the California Attorney General in 11 other states.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: And that cleared the last major obstacle to its takeover of Warner Brothers Discovery, which is the company that owns CNN.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: The transaction has been described as an 81 billion dollar mega-mergers huge, and it would place CNN and CBS news under the same corporate route.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: The CEO Paramount is none other than David Ellison, who variety has affectionately referred to as Trump's bitch.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: Ellison is a very good friend of Trump's.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: He repeatedly visit the White House.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's been with Trump, but UFC events, Trump considers him very good friend, very loyal supporter.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: And he's promised to basically gut CNN and fumigate the place of all of its left-wing lunatics.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're calling what's inevitably coming a layoff's bloodbath.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: The insiders are describing the mood inside CNN as a kin to a funeral.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: And keep in mind, this was before Word got out that Elon Musk of all people could be one of the owners.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's...
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: And do that is the stake driven through the heart of the leftist world that is completely infested CNN.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: But frankly, it's so much worse than this, and not just for CNN.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: What I want to show you is how what's happening to CNN is nothing less than a harbinger of what's to come for the whole of the legacy media, and they're era of lecturing us and dismissing us.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's all over.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: Their era of monopolizing information and news, it's over.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: And thus, their entire business model that keeps them afloat is over.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just the era of CNN that's coming to an end.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's the era of the legacy media itself.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Wait until you see this.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, encountering all of this, made me think of the lines I hear people say, all the time when it comes to gold.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm, I'm good to wait, right?
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: Wait for gold to come down, wait for inflation to settle.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: Then I'll get it.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Wait for the economy to stabilize.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Wait until things feel a little more normal.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: But here's my question, you guys.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: What exactly are we waiting for?
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: You see the likes of the wealthy around the, they're not waiting.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: Look at the economic reality around the central banks around the world continue accumulating gold.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: Nations continue looking for alternatives to their dependence on the dollar.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: We're watching an increasingly fragmented global economy take shape right in front of us.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: These aren't isolated headlines.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: These are structural changes.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: And we've been talking about these trends in this channel for years.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: So when someone tells me that they're waiting for the quote right time to look at gold,
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're still focused on the wrong thing, because if debt, currency concerns, central bank buying, geopolitical uncertainty, if those are the reasons you were considering physical gold in the first place, what's changed?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's the question, right?
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: Not whether you could perfectly time the price, not whether gold is higher today than it was a year ago, have the fundamental reasons for owning gold gone away.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, from where I said they have not.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why people are still looking at purchasing physical gold and silver directly while others are exploring whether a gold IRA makes sense for a portion of the retirement savings.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're looking into either one, get educated first and that's why I trust Augusta precious metals.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Their experience educational team will sit down with you one on one, explain physical golden silver, walk you through how a gold IRA works, answer your questions, and then help you understand your options before you make a decision.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: Go to turlybineschool.com or text
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: to 35052 to request Augustus free god because waiting only makes sense if you're waiting for something fundamental to change, debt is still climbing, central banks are still buying, the global order is still shifting, the reasons for owning gold haven't changed.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: Not one bit, click on that link below right now.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: As you may have guessed, the New York Post is reporting this morning that CNN staff are absolutely losing their minds.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they cannot even begin to fathom.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: How the very man they spent years portraying as a dangerous supervillain might soon be sending them all pink slips.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I can't talk about ironic justice.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: You have to remember, these are the most narcissistic, self-infatuated, entitled people on the planet.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: You cannot possibly surpass the conceit of the likes of an Abby Philip or a Jake Tapper or a Caitlyn Collins.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: These people are completely beyond reproach in their own head, so you can only imagine the meltdown once they heard the news.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Not only that a Trump supporter was going to be their new boss,
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: But freaking Elon Musk, for the far right, Nazi saluting, Ela, are you kidding me?
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: Can you even imagine the group chats inside CNN right now?
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: I right now as we speak, literally.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if we take a few steps back here, we can actually see the big picture of what's going on.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: For decades, these people, these left-wing activists disguise as journalists and legacy media.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: enjoyed a near monopoly of the microphone as it were.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: They decided which stories mattered, which scandals disappeared, which opinions were acceptable, and which inconvenient facts were dismissed as quote misinformation, right?
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: And bottom line for decades, we really couldn't do anything about it because the media had a monopoly
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: on information.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: We couldn't compete with their vast international information networks.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: We were just, we were completely reliant on them for accessing news and information in a manner comparable to how we were once reliant on libraries for accessing books, for example.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: What we have to understand is how dramatically the advent of the internet changed all that.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: it's technically known as the rise of the networks aside if you've been a part of this channel for a while and if not make sure to smack that subscribe button but if you've been a part with the channel if you've been a part of this channel for a while you'll know this term networks aside.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: And what it involves is the way the entire social order recalibrates around hyper-connectivity.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: So with the rise of internet-based technologies and the digital revolution, that information that legacy media had for decades monopolized became radically democratized.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's been decentralized away from that monopoly of the legacy media, and it's been distributed in such a way and dispersed to the masses so that now everyone has access to that information through our shared hyperconnectivity.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: And so now in the information age, the network society because we have the same access to the same information as anyone at CNN has.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: We are able to bypass the legacy media in a manner comparable to the way text messaging and email bypasses the post office.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Bottom line, we don't need them anymore.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the key.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: The rise of cyberspace and internet-based technologies has completely blown apart the legacy media's business model that was originally built around this notion of information and optimization.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: The business model worked so long as the masses simply did not have access to the same information as the media networks had access to.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: Then they could sit there from their perch and lecture us because they had the information we simply didn't have.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: They could exploit our supposed ignorance.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: but now that we have access to that very same information, not only do we get to bypass them, like email bypasses, the post office, but also now we're in a position to fact check them.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: And that is ultimately what is demolish the business model of CNN and MSNBC and ABC in CBS and NBC in the New York Times and then Washington Post and NPR and a whole host of Legacy Media.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: The claim to be the authoritative fact-checkers assumes the old business model when they had a monopoly over information acquisition that they were in a privileged position to be able a fact-check, but in the new network age information has been radically democratized.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: And so now we, the people, are in the position to fact-check them.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, they've been found wanting repeatedly wanting.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: And so, what does all that mean?
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: It means that the media requires a new business model.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: And that new model was not based on controlling information like they did for decades, but instead curating, verifying, and contextualizing, and information stream, that the public already has access to.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what a potential musk investment represents.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: The fusion of a traditional news organization with its reporters and its studios, its archives, its international bureaus, with the decentralized real-time participatory power of X.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: So, instead of journalists speaking down to a passive audience, citizens have now become sources.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: Citizens are now investigators, right?
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: Think about it today.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: When we show up at if there's been an accident or a horrible event,
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: that happen like a bomb explosion, what's where do you first see the video feed, right?
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's not from the satellite vans that show up like a die hard, right?
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they show up to capture a video of that.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's from smartphones.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's from citizens.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: Citizens are now the investigators, is it worth?
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: They're the videographers, they're the fact-checkters, they're the distributors themselves.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: Now, news becomes, in this new information age, news has become an open conversation in which claims are instantly challenged, primary evidence is linked, and competing interpretations can be examined publicly.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: The revenue model changes as well, it's, I think it goes away more from the captive cable audiences and institutional gatekeeping toward more subscriptions and creators.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: direct audience, relationships, digital engagement, personality-driven programming.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: Now, that doesn't make professional journalism obsolete, but it does force journalists to earn their authority through transparency, through accuracy, and through trust.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: They no longer get to hide behind the moniker CNN.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: And say, well, we're professionals.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: We're the only ones that have the competence to be able to determine what a fact is.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's going, they have to earn their credibility, and that is the ultimate significance I believe of Musk possibly investing in CNN.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: It would combine the resources of legacy media with the participatory logic of the network age, transforming the audience from passive consumers
- 17:39[SPEAKER_00]: into active participants in the very production of news itself.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: We are part of the story.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I always say I'm celebrating the Golden Age that you made possible.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: So, goodbye old CNN.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the new Trumpian Golden Age.
