- 0:25Speaker 2: The Consequences of a lenient criminal justice System. I've talked
- 0:32Speaker 2: about this issue for decades. The most effective way of
- 0:38Speaker 2: illustrating it is to take actual cases. Now, we have
- 0:44Speaker 2: an audience that consists of a lot of people from
- 0:46Speaker 2: Wisconsin and a lot of people who live nowhere near Wisconsin.
- 0:51Speaker 2: So what I'm going to do here is pull out
- 0:53Speaker 2: a couple of cases there, Wisconsin cases. But the point
- 0:58Speaker 2: holds up anywhere anywhere where you have liberal judges, or
- 1:03Speaker 2: for that matter, you're fortunate enough to have judges that
- 1:10Speaker 2: are not liberal and a criminal justice system that is stiffer.
- 1:17Speaker 2: We've got about three or four categories of people in
- 1:21Speaker 2: the United States, and anybody in any one of those
- 1:24Speaker 2: categories can do something terrible. Somebody who's never been arrested
- 1:31Speaker 2: or charged with anything serious could go and kill someone tomorrow.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I don't think as much of anything we can do
- 1:37Speaker 2: about that it happens. Then you have people who've already
- 1:45Speaker 2: been convicted of crimes served their time, we at least
- 1:50Speaker 2: know who they are. But there's this third category that
- 1:54Speaker 2: I think is the most dangerous of all. There are
- 1:58Speaker 2: people who have been caught, arrested, charged, probably dead to
- 2:05Speaker 2: rights guilty, but have not yet been convicted. I've been
- 2:10Speaker 2: talking about this situation forever, and this is the group
- 2:14Speaker 2: that again and again and again and again and again
- 2:16Speaker 2: and again commits terrible crimes. We've made a couple of
- 2:21Speaker 2: changes in the law to try to address it. But
- 2:24Speaker 2: you can change the law all you want. If individuals
- 2:26Speaker 2: who work within the legal system don't use those changes,
- 2:31Speaker 2: they may as well not have occurred. We had the
- 2:37Speaker 2: terrible case in Waukeshaw outside of Milwaukee a few years ago,
- 2:42Speaker 2: the Parade massacre career criminal Daryl Brooks, free unbond, when
- 2:47Speaker 2: have slaughtered a bunch of people his free, unbond and
- 2:50Speaker 2: served minimal time for conviction after conviction, after conviction, after conviction,
- 2:54Speaker 2: after conviction, after convictions. The poster child for what happens
- 3:02Speaker 2: when you've got somebody that clearly as a rotten human
- 3:06Speaker 2: being and very very dangerous, and you don't do a
- 3:08Speaker 2: damn thing about it. With all of the craft that
- 3:13Speaker 2: he had already done. Here was Brooks caught again criminal
- 3:18Speaker 2: charges pending yet free. We're going to pick up at
- 3:27Speaker 2: that on that point by dealing with a specific case
- 3:32Speaker 2: now in this one. I don't think that the handling
- 3:34Speaker 2: of the case by the judge involved was terrible, but
- 3:37Speaker 2: it serves to prove my point and make a lesson.
- 3:41Speaker 2: We'll get to it in a moment. When it comes

- 4:19Speaker 2: time today is fill in for the week ends with
- 4:22Speaker 2: this podcast. Do you think people know how to spell
- 4:24Speaker 2: you line? I've never spelled it around here, yes, but
- 4:28Speaker 2: maybe around who are not? I mean from on here
- 4:30Speaker 2: because there's they have all these buildings, the signs and
- 4:32Speaker 2: the and the it's U L I n E. No
- 4:36Speaker 2: dash or anything you line named after the family. Many
- 4:40Speaker 2: people that family pronounced their name E line. This branch
- 4:43Speaker 2: of the family pronounces that you line, and it made
- 4:46Speaker 2: it more convenient to spell out the name of the company.
- 4:49Speaker 2: The name family name is not spelled the same way
- 4:51Speaker 2: as the name of the company. The name of the
- 4:53Speaker 2: company is spelled the way itselfs U L I N
- 4:55Speaker 2: E dot com. All right, I'm going to bring you
- 4:59Speaker 2: actually to the end of this case and then go backward.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I usually do these with regard to court cases the
- 5:04Speaker 2: other way around. I think in this case, I'll serve
- 5:09Speaker 2: my purpose best by dealing with it this way. The
- 5:14Speaker 2: case involves a guy who lives in the village of
- 5:18Speaker 2: Waukeshaw that's used to be called the town of Waukeshaw.
- 5:20Speaker 2: The village of Wakashaw is outside the city limits of
- 5:23Speaker 2: the city of Waukeshaw. His name is David Yankee. This
- 5:31Speaker 2: is as bad as it gets in terms of his conduct. Yankee,
- 5:37Speaker 2: forty four years old, lives in the village of Wukashaw.
- 5:46Speaker 2: He's charged with first degree reckless injury, four counts of
- 5:51Speaker 2: first degree reckless and dangering safety and another of operating
- 5:55Speaker 2: while suspended causing great bodily harmed Who counts of bail jumping?
- 5:59Speaker 2: I'm going to read from on the walk Ashaw Freeman
- 6:01Speaker 2: report on the case. According to the criminal complaint against him,
- 6:07Speaker 2: Yankee was driving at speeds of ninety to one hundred
- 6:10Speaker 2: miles per hour southbound on a Highway one sixty four
- 6:16Speaker 2: when he blew a red light at Lawnsdale Road on
- 6:19Speaker 2: April seventeenth, striking two cars before his own vehicle went
- 6:24Speaker 2: off the roadway and down into a ditch, ejecting him
- 6:28Speaker 2: as it rolled over. The driver of one vehicle was
- 6:32Speaker 2: headed east on Lawndale preparing to turn left onto one
- 6:36Speaker 2: sixty four when Yankee struck him, pushing his vehicle twenty
- 6:40Speaker 2: to thirty feet. The man had to be expricated from
- 6:44Speaker 2: his car and sustained a punctured lung and a fractured rib.
- 6:49Speaker 2: The complaint said. Almost simultaneously with that crash, a woman
- 6:55Speaker 2: was driving west on Lawndale when her car crashed into Yankees.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Into Yankees, three miners and two under two were in
- 7:07Speaker 2: that car with her. The woman and two of the
- 7:09Speaker 2: children sustained small bruises and seat belt burns, and one
- 7:13Speaker 2: of the kids had a bloody nose. The complaint said,
- 7:16Speaker 2: So as this guy blows to the red light, ends
- 7:21Speaker 2: up in contact with two other vehicles, strikes one and
- 7:23Speaker 2: another vehicle struck him as he's blown through the red
- 7:25Speaker 2: light and carening out of control. It gets better or worse,
- 7:32Speaker 2: depending on your perspective, quoting against from the story. A
- 7:35Speaker 2: deputy reviewed surveillance footage from the nearby Fox River Christian
- 7:39Speaker 2: Church that showed Yankee speeding just before the crash and
- 7:45Speaker 2: running a red light. He appeared to have sustained significant injuries,
- 7:50Speaker 2: the complaint said. Deputies learned his seat belt had been
- 7:54Speaker 2: buckled behind him. The complaint said, now I know why
- 7:58Speaker 2: people do that. Do you know why people do that?
- 8:02Speaker 2: Because so the beep beep beep doesn't go off, so
- 8:05Speaker 2: he buckles the seatbelt and then sits on it. You out,
- 8:13Speaker 2: you get just put the seat belt on. Well, we
- 8:15Speaker 2: get to get further into his contact, and you'll see
- 8:17Speaker 2: that there isn't particularly any regard for anyone's life, including
- 8:20Speaker 2: his own. Yankee's father showed up at the seed saying
- 8:25Speaker 2: a woman informed him she had been on a video
- 8:28Speaker 2: call with Yankee when the crash occurred. So he's facetiming
- 8:33Speaker 2: or some other video application face timing with a woman
- 8:37Speaker 2: when he's driving like a bat out of hell running
- 8:39Speaker 2: through the red light. Continuing. This is according to the
- 8:41Speaker 2: dad who shows up. That woman recorded part of the video,
- 8:48Speaker 2: so we actually have this video. It's very hard to
- 8:53Speaker 2: get any of these things on a timely fashion out
- 8:56Speaker 2: of any of the local court systems. You know, when
- 8:58Speaker 2: you watch these YouTube pulle videos, it's often from states
- 9:02Speaker 2: like Florida or Texas because they have very good open
- 9:05Speaker 2: records laws and they turned the stuff over immediately, even
- 9:08Speaker 2: if it's involved in a pending case. We don't do
- 9:12Speaker 2: that in Wisconsin, so I don't know how quickly we'll
- 9:13Speaker 2: get that. But anyway, the woman who's doing the facetiming
- 9:17Speaker 2: with the guy, she's recording the video. This is according
- 9:20Speaker 2: to the criminal complaint, continuing, that woman recorded part of
- 9:24Speaker 2: the video call with Yankee, in which he told her
- 9:27Speaker 2: he was going to speed and blow red lights. The
- 9:30Speaker 2: complaint said the woman said Yankee began smoking crack while driving,
- 9:36Speaker 2: and when she tried to ask him questions, he ignored
- 9:39Speaker 2: her and instead talked about how he was Jesus, was
- 9:44Speaker 2: running red lights and could not be hurt. When asked
- 9:48Speaker 2: if the defendant made any suicidal comments during the call,
- 9:52Speaker 2: she said it was the opposite, and that the defendant
- 9:55Speaker 2: was claiming he was invincible. The woman sent a copy
- 10:00Speaker 2: of the recorded video call to a detective. A still
- 10:04Speaker 2: image taken from the video showed Yankee smoking from what
- 10:07Speaker 2: appeared to be a crack pipe. The complaints said, criminally
- 10:17Speaker 2: charged now for that incident, this happened a month ago.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Now I want to share the background when this occurred.
- 10:31Speaker 2: David Yankee was free on bail on a third offense
- 10:37Speaker 2: drunk driving case from one year ago. Now let's start
- 10:43Speaker 2: with this. There are consequences of a criminal justice system
- 10:49Speaker 2: that crawls along. Drunk driving cases are usually open and shot,
- 10:57Speaker 2: not always, usually not the most complicated case in the world.
- 11:03Speaker 2: They're the type that you would think could be disposed
- 11:06Speaker 2: of rather quickly. However, if you're the defendant and third
- 11:11Speaker 2: offense drunk driving almost well it does. It means incarceration.
- 11:19Speaker 2: You have every incentive to drag it along. Put yourself
- 11:23Speaker 2: in Yankee shoes. You're a loser. You got a third
- 11:28Speaker 2: offense drunk driving there's other stuff involving him that he'll
- 11:32Speaker 2: get to.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Do.
- 11:34Speaker 2: You want to have the case resolved tomorrow, or you
- 11:36Speaker 2: would prefer to have it resolved in two hundred and
- 11:39Speaker 2: eighty one years. Obviously, the longer farther away the better.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Let me get into the details of that case. By
- 11:49Speaker 2: the way, I'm holding lots and lots of pages here
- 11:52Speaker 2: because I have the online court file from all of
- 11:56Speaker 2: his cases. And the next one that I'm going to discuss.
- 12:02Speaker 2: He was charged in June of last year, so about
- 12:05Speaker 2: eleven months ago, June third, with third offense drunk driving
- 12:13Speaker 2: resisting failing to stop. He's not charged with a looting,
- 12:17Speaker 2: but it says fail to stop, which probably means that
- 12:19Speaker 2: he just kept on driving without going off, at a
- 12:22Speaker 2: high speed, operating with restricted controlled substances and so on.
- 12:28Speaker 2: That's third offense in that case. Judge Michael Maxwell, who's
- 12:36Speaker 2: one of the better judges in Wakashaw Khan, he slapped
- 12:38Speaker 2: him with a one thousand dollars cash bond. But he
- 12:42Speaker 2: posted it now. Again the point that I made earlier,
- 12:50Speaker 2: this is the group of people that I think is
- 12:52Speaker 2: the most dangerous. If you know you're going to be
- 12:56Speaker 2: going to jail for doing something, what's the reason not
- 13:01Speaker 2: to do it again in the interim period? You see
- 13:04Speaker 2: this over and over and over again. Now some people
- 13:08Speaker 2: will say, well, third defense, drunk driving. You can't make
- 13:11Speaker 2: a guy post one hundred thousand dollars bail. No, maybe not,
- 13:17Speaker 2: but I think you can make him post more than
- 13:19Speaker 2: a thousand. What's wrong with twenty five? And if he
- 13:25Speaker 2: can't post it, let him sit his ass in jail,
- 13:28Speaker 2: and that'll induce him to plead the case out and
- 13:31Speaker 2: you can resolve it quickly and go on with his charging.
- 13:35Speaker 2: But we don't. We don't again and again and again
- 13:39Speaker 2: and again and again and again and again. When you
- 13:41Speaker 2: see these people that are driving like complete lunatics out
- 13:44Speaker 2: there on the freeware or in this case, one sixty
- 13:46Speaker 2: four is a state highway, they're almost always people who
- 13:52Speaker 2: have been caught before doing the same thing and are
- 13:58Speaker 2: able to do it again because we never do anything
- 14:00Speaker 2: to them. On this case, the guy was caught OWI.
- 14:05Speaker 2: There's a controlled substance in there as well. It's not
- 14:08Speaker 2: clear to me from the court record if he got
- 14:09Speaker 2: OWI because of alcohol and the drugs that he was on. Nonetheless,
- 14:13Speaker 2: the case and I could go into all the delays
- 14:15Speaker 2: and the court hearings that were held in the interim period,
- 14:26Speaker 2: but it's not that necessary. No, again, I don't think
- 14:29Speaker 2: that this is an atrocious case of handling by Judge Maxwell.
- 14:33Speaker 2: It's not a case of a guy with no bail,
- 14:35Speaker 2: and it wasn't like ninth offense trunk driving that he
- 14:38Speaker 2: was on, but it was third. And my opinion is
- 14:43Speaker 2: is that people can get a first defense drunk driving
- 14:50Speaker 2: and if they don't have any other history of doing
- 14:52Speaker 2: anything wrong. No, I don't think you have to ruin
- 14:54Speaker 2: their lives, but there needs to be punishment. Second offense
- 14:57Speaker 2: raises eyebrows once you start getting a this is somebody
- 15:01Speaker 2: who hasn't learned and they're dangerous, and the more on
- 15:07Speaker 2: you go. So, now Yankee's all banged up, he's they've
- 15:12Speaker 2: set bail for him here at one hundred thousand, but
- 15:15Speaker 2: he's not listed as being in the Wakashaw County jail.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I presume he is still hospitalized. Let me move now
- 15:24Speaker 2: to another case. This one is a Milwaukee county and
- 15:27Speaker 2: it is being covered today by js online. It's a
- 15:31Speaker 2: good thing. Rarely do you see cases like this coveraged
- 15:34Speaker 2: by the media. In this instance, they had a whistleblower
- 15:36Speaker 2: contact them. There's a pro police agency in Milwaukee. It
- 15:42Speaker 2: has a confusing name here, so I'm gonna explain this.
- 15:44Speaker 2: It's a lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police. Often
- 15:48Speaker 2: that's a police union. In this instance, it's a lodge
- 15:51Speaker 2: that doesn't involve I mean, I don't The guy who's
- 15:54Speaker 2: the spokesman here is not a current as far as
- 15:57Speaker 2: I know, police officer, but has a law enforcement background,
- 16:01Speaker 2: I believe, former police officer, and he's acting as the spokesman.
- 16:04Speaker 2: And what they do is they draw attention to cases
- 16:08Speaker 2: like this. I have the court file of the guy
- 16:16Speaker 2: involved in this case. Now I have to stress that
- 16:20Speaker 2: there's somebody else with his virtually same name. His name
- 16:24Speaker 2: is Amir am I. E. R. Hassan Jones Jr. He
- 16:30Speaker 2: has a very long criminal record. Do you know who
- 16:33Speaker 2: else has a long criminal record? I wish Paul was
- 16:36Speaker 2: here for these things, because then when he doesn't get it,
- 16:38Speaker 2: I can make fun of him for it. Amir Hassan
- 16:42Speaker 2: Jones Junior has a long criminal record. Take a guess
- 16:45Speaker 2: as to somebody else who does. These questions are always easy,
- 16:48Speaker 2: not hard. They just seem hard. I'm on here Amir
- 16:52Speaker 2: has Hassan Jones Senior. So in going through this, I
- 16:56Speaker 2: had to separate to make sure and by looking at
- 16:58Speaker 2: the dates of birth to not throw in Jones Jr.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Who's the subject of this case with Joanes Senor, who
- 17:05Speaker 2: also has wrongdoing going on in his past. Anyway, this guy,
- 17:10Speaker 2: Amir Hassan Jones Junior, is facing multiple charges in connection
- 17:21Speaker 2: with stalking and abusing a woman. I think I know
- 17:29Speaker 2: the relationship between the two, but it's not clear from
- 17:32Speaker 2: the court record, so I'm not going to go into
- 17:34Speaker 2: it in exact detail other than it's apparently a terrible
- 17:40Speaker 2: relationship that he has with this woman. To the point
- 17:44Speaker 2: that he was charged in January was stalking, domestic abuse,
- 17:52Speaker 2: possession of firearm by a convicted felon, on and on
- 17:56Speaker 2: and on. In May of last year, he was charged
- 18:04Speaker 2: with vehicle operator freeing and eluding habitual criminal offender. On
- 18:08Speaker 2: that case from May of last year, they slapped a
- 18:12Speaker 2: thirty five thousand dollars cash bond on him. That's good.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Then he got the next case in January of this
- 18:19Speaker 2: year and they slapped a thirty thousand dollars arrest warrant
- 18:26Speaker 2: on him in this interim period last year, he missed
- 18:31Speaker 2: the court date and his lawyer said he was in
- 18:34Speaker 2: the hospital in the meantime. This is the story now
- 18:44Speaker 2: reported on js online. He's got all of this stuff
- 18:46Speaker 2: in his background. He's in jail now. Again, this is
- 18:53Speaker 2: one of those instances. It's not like the last case.
- 18:56Speaker 2: This guy's actually in jail. He hasn't able to make
- 18:59Speaker 2: the strong bond that was put up from jail. He
- 19:07Speaker 2: is accused of making six hundred calls to the victim
- 19:17Speaker 2: and to one of the police officers that was involved
- 19:20Speaker 2: in handling his case. Six hundred. You don't have to
- 19:30Speaker 2: be really smart and understanding human nature. That six hundred
- 19:35Speaker 2: calls implies obsession. What's he calling about? Drop the charges
- 19:42Speaker 2: or can't your testimony?
- 19:43Speaker 3: What?
- 19:44Speaker 2: I can just imagine six hundred calls. The people that
- 19:54Speaker 2: were given the calls went to the authorities and said,
- 19:57Speaker 2: this guy keeps calling me. They have asked the judge
- 20:04Speaker 2: that is overseeing his case to do something about it,
- 20:10Speaker 2: including raising his bail. Obviously they're afraid. Now let me pause.
- 20:16Speaker 2: When you see cases of domestic cases where some guy
- 20:21Speaker 2: kills his wife, kills his girlfriend, maybe even the other
- 20:24Speaker 2: way around. Woman kills the boyfriend kills a husband, whatever
- 20:29Speaker 2: it is. Often cases like this, where you can get
- 20:32Speaker 2: all the restraining orders in the world, the person just
- 20:35Speaker 2: does not stop. Instead, the obsession accelerates, and in many
- 20:42Speaker 2: cases everybody sees it going on and nobody does a
- 20:44Speaker 2: damn thing about it. In this case, the person not
- 20:47Speaker 2: doing a damn thing about it. It's a miserable excuse
- 20:50Speaker 2: of a Milwaukee County judge named Anna Barrios Schroeder. Not
- 20:56Speaker 2: all Milwaukee County judges are terrible. Most are bad, summer terrible.
- 21:00Speaker 2: There's a few that are very good. Anna Barios Shoulder.
- 21:06Speaker 2: When the prosecutors went to the judge, pointing out he's
- 21:09Speaker 2: made these six hundred calls she has, she refused to
- 21:12Speaker 2: take any action against him. And that's the subject of
- 21:15Speaker 2: the js online story. And again I'm glad they're reported
- 21:18Speaker 2: on it. Let me quote from it. The story quotes
- 21:21Speaker 2: Michael Murphy. Now there's a lot of people with that name.
- 21:24Speaker 2: This is not the former Milwaukee alderman and so on.
- 21:27Speaker 2: This is the guy's been involved in law enforcement issues forever.
- 21:29Speaker 2: He's the fourth president of this Cream Cream City Lodge
- 21:33Speaker 2: of the Fraternal Order of police. It's a police advocacy group.
- 21:36Speaker 2: This should not be confused with the police union. That's
- 21:39Speaker 2: the Milwaukee Police Association. But the FOP can be a
- 21:43Speaker 2: labor organization. In this case, this chapter lobbies and is
- 21:47Speaker 2: an activist group on behalf of law enforcement. So Michael
- 21:51Speaker 2: Murphy is criticizing the judge. He said, ultimately, there's two
- 21:54Speaker 2: human beings who are being threatened. We take this very serious.
- 22:02Speaker 2: JS online contacted the judge, and the judge actually defended
- 22:05Speaker 2: her actions. Some of these cases, judges will not talk
- 22:08Speaker 2: about pending cases. In this case, the judge did speak
- 22:13Speaker 2: with JS online. The judge told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
- 22:17Speaker 2: that she understood the concern. She noted that she had
- 22:20Speaker 2: made a full record in court May seventh, after hearing
- 22:24Speaker 2: arguments from the prosecutors in defense. She said she also
- 22:27Speaker 2: admonished the defended, will you give me a break? You
- 22:32Speaker 2: know a lot of these court hearings are now on
- 22:34Speaker 2: TV on YouTube. You can see them all. I mean
- 22:36Speaker 2: all the time. You'll see a judge bawling the defendant
- 22:39Speaker 2: out and they're in there for a bail here. You can't.
- 22:43Speaker 2: I think that might work with like a first offender
- 22:47Speaker 2: who screwed up and made you know, threatened him with
- 22:50Speaker 2: the end of the world. It might make an impact.
- 22:53Speaker 2: It's not going to make an impact on a scum
- 22:56Speaker 2: like this guy. But she said she admonished him if
- 23:00Speaker 2: something bad happens, which I'm telling you it might. I
- 23:06Speaker 2: want you to remember that the judge patted herself in
- 23:08Speaker 2: the back because she had managed to defend it, continuing,
- 23:12Speaker 2: I take very seriously victim protection and officer protection. No
- 23:16Speaker 2: you don't. You know how you can tell if you
- 23:18Speaker 2: take something seriously when you do something about it. All
- 23:23Speaker 2: this lip service you get from the left. I take
- 23:25Speaker 2: this seriously. Oh, I take that seriously A serious concern.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Saying you take something seriously is different from doing something
- 23:36Speaker 2: about it. Murphy, that's the law Enforcement Advocacy group said
- 23:41Speaker 2: the threatened officer had alerted him to the situation. In
- 23:45Speaker 2: the news release, his organization called for an immediate review
- 23:48Speaker 2: of policing governing police policy. Excuse me, immediate review of
- 23:53Speaker 2: policies governing inmate communication privileges within the Milwaukee County Jail. Now,
- 23:59Speaker 2: it used to be, back in the days before we
- 24:02Speaker 2: had cell phones, that you had to use a jail
- 24:06Speaker 2: phone to make a call and they were all monitored.
- 24:10Speaker 2: I actually, I admit I don't know if in the
- 24:13Speaker 2: Milwaukee County Jail inmates have access to their cell phones.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I just, I honestly just don't know. If it's a
- 24:20Speaker 2: cell phone call, clearly you wouldn't have the ability to
- 24:22Speaker 2: monitor it. If he's making the call from a jail phone,
- 24:26Speaker 2: they can be monitoring it. But can you just sit
- 24:31Speaker 2: in the jail and call anybody you want as many
- 24:33Speaker 2: times as you want. Maybe we need to go back
- 24:38Speaker 2: to the older days in which you had to put
- 24:40Speaker 2: a quarter in the phone and it costs you something
- 24:46Speaker 2: organization called from media, or you have policies governing inmate
- 24:49Speaker 2: communication privileges within the Milwaukee County Jail, particularly in cases
- 24:53Speaker 2: with credible threats of violence, and urged authorities to ensure
- 24:57Speaker 2: the safety of the victim and officers. In the case,
- 25:00Speaker 2: the officer is a member of the Milwaukee County High
- 25:03Speaker 2: Risk Domestic Violence Team, which tries to stop domestic abuse
- 25:07Speaker 2: cases from escalating the homicide. So the officer is specifically
- 25:12Speaker 2: involved in cases like this where the abuse is so
- 25:16Speaker 2: terrifying that they're afraid the guide's going to kill her
- 25:20Speaker 2: or obviously in some cases, the woman's going to kill
- 25:22Speaker 2: him or her, depending on the nature of the relationship.
- 25:29Speaker 2: The officer had been investigating twenty nine year old Emir
- 25:32Speaker 2: Jones Junior, who faces felony stocking, illegal gun possession, reckless
- 25:38Speaker 2: in land daturing safety, attempted fleeing, and intimidation. Jones has
- 25:44Speaker 2: been courte ordered not to have the contact with the
- 25:46Speaker 2: victims since January when the charges were filed, So he's
- 25:52Speaker 2: already under a no contact order, yet he's obviously contacting her.
- 25:58Speaker 2: What's the point of giving him an old contact order
- 26:00Speaker 2: if he keeps contacting her again. He is in jail.
- 26:06Speaker 2: But here's the problem. That thirty five thousand dollars cash bail.
- 26:09Speaker 2: It's remarkable how many times criminals can post what even
- 26:12Speaker 2: seems to be a rather high bail. Now he hasn't
- 26:16Speaker 2: posted it yet, which is good. On May seventh, assist
- 26:21Speaker 2: at Milwaukee County District Attorney Jessica Bailing asked the judge
- 26:25Speaker 2: to rescind to Jones's communication privileges and raise his bail
- 26:28Speaker 2: to seventy five thousand. Now that seems reasonable to me.
- 26:33Speaker 2: The DIA's office said, let's raise his bail to seventy
- 26:36Speaker 2: five thousand, and let's take away his communication privileges. Clearly,
- 26:40Speaker 2: he's abused them first, so he's making six hundred recall. Secondly,
- 26:43Speaker 2: he's told to have no contact. So the gia's request
- 26:47Speaker 2: is very simple take away as communication privileges raises bail.
- 26:53Speaker 2: The judge told it to jump in a lake. That's
- 26:57Speaker 2: not a direct quote. It's the impact of her statement
- 27:00Speaker 2: in emotion bailing. That's the assistant DA cited Jones's messages
- 27:04Speaker 2: from send from a jail approved tablet. Okay, that answers
- 27:08Speaker 2: that question. So he's got a tablet. He's not using
- 27:11Speaker 2: a cell phone, but he's got a tablet. And obviously
- 27:14Speaker 2: you can make voice calls from a tablet a day earlier,
- 27:18Speaker 2: including one that read in part if this the detective
- 27:23Speaker 2: from the preliminary reading in this case, you already on
- 27:28Speaker 2: my hit Listen. I'm sure he meant hit list very
- 27:35Speaker 2: short of. The judge denied the requests and kept Jones's
- 27:38Speaker 2: bail at thirty thousand dollars. In that case, she also
- 27:42Speaker 2: denied the defense attorney's requests. The lower is bail. Now
- 27:47Speaker 2: Jones has another hearing actually later today, the day that
- 27:52Speaker 2: I'm doing this podcast. So I don't have the results
- 27:54Speaker 2: of that as a time that I'm recording the podcast.
- 28:00Speaker 2: So you have a case here of threats being made,
- 28:03Speaker 2: including an officer investigating the case, and the judge who's
- 28:08Speaker 2: handling the case on his already existing charges pertaining to
- 28:11Speaker 2: the case, does nothing about it. As I said, he
- 28:17Speaker 2: was criminally charged with what I mentioned in January. He
- 28:23Speaker 2: has earlier charges that are also pending from fleeing from
- 28:28Speaker 2: police back from May of last year. So the new
- 28:33Speaker 2: behavior occurred. The charges of abuse and harassment occurred when
- 28:38Speaker 2: he was on bail from the fleeing and a looting charge.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Now with the bail in place, he's in jail and
- 28:45Speaker 2: is continuing to violate the conditions of his bil by
- 28:48Speaker 2: doing something that is very, very scary, by making all
- 28:51Speaker 2: of these threats. His criminal record goes on and on
- 28:59Speaker 2: a non I want you to consider for a moment
- 29:09Speaker 2: what harm there would be in the judge ordering that
- 29:14Speaker 2: his communication privileges. We take it away when he is
- 29:17Speaker 2: abusing his criminal communication privileges now none. Now we can
- 29:25Speaker 2: only hope that he doesn't post bail, gets convicted, and
- 29:30Speaker 2: gets multiple years in prison. So the people that he
- 29:32Speaker 2: is threatening are saved from him. But the word that
- 29:38Speaker 2: I use there is hope, and placing hope in our
- 29:41Speaker 2: criminal justice is the particular if it's in Milwaukee County.
- 29:43Speaker 2: In particularly that the cases land in the hands of
- 29:46Speaker 2: certain judges, and there are some truly rotten ones, the
- 29:54Speaker 2: hope is often false hope. Now I want to get
- 29:59Speaker 2: to a third case. This is a case that's been
- 30:02Speaker 2: handled properly. We have a very strong sentence that's been
- 30:11Speaker 2: handed down, and a terrible case that we had in
- 30:15Speaker 2: the Milwaukee area from last year. We are plagued in
- 30:18Speaker 2: our area with people who get smashed and drive the
- 30:22Speaker 2: wrong way on the freeway. I've contended that I just
- 30:31Speaker 2: think in many cases these are people that are mixing
- 30:35Speaker 2: booze and pills and so on. My long, long, long
- 30:40Speaker 2: experience of being out there and being around the town
- 30:42Speaker 2: and all of that that usually even when you're drunk,
- 30:45Speaker 2: you can get you what you know to go the
- 30:47Speaker 2: right way on the freeway, But if you're completely screwed up,
- 30:50Speaker 2: maybe you don't. This case involved a man in Ozaki
- 31:05Speaker 2: County who was driving the wrong way on the freeway
- 31:12Speaker 2: and crashed into a vehicle being driven by another couple.
- 31:19Speaker 2: They were both killed. It was an awful case. The
- 31:30Speaker 2: criminal complaint against the guy, and he has an Asian name,
- 31:36Speaker 2: and I'm guessing on the pronunciation here. I believe it
- 31:39Speaker 2: is way vu. Let me quote from the complaint. According
- 31:46Speaker 2: to the criminal complaint vu or view v u E
- 31:50Speaker 2: was seen swerving and excessively speeding. Other cars flashed their
- 31:54Speaker 2: lights and honked as he passed by. So all the
- 31:57Speaker 2: other cards that are going the correct way on the freeway,
- 31:58Speaker 2: he's driving against them. They're flashing the lights, honk and
- 32:01Speaker 2: trying to get his attention. Hey, you're going the wrong way.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Five calls came in vu or VUW. I'm guessing vous
- 32:14Speaker 2: driving Alexis. It's slammed head on into a FOURD escape
- 32:25Speaker 2: being driven and passengers of the Horn family, Nicole Horn,
- 32:31Speaker 2: Jay Horn, and their daughter Alyssa. Nicole and Jay, husband
- 32:34Speaker 2: and wife were killed fifty one and fifty six, respectively.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Alyssa was pinned to the back seat and was conscious.
- 32:48Speaker 2: So here's a guy that's driving quite a distance the
- 32:50Speaker 2: wrong way at high speeds in the freeway while smashed
- 32:55Speaker 2: kills two people injured somebody else A man. Imagine being
- 32:58Speaker 2: in a car with your parents in killed this because
- 33:01Speaker 2: this piece of crap is so screwed up he's going
- 33:06Speaker 2: the wrong way on the freeway and can't figure it
- 33:07Speaker 2: out as driving recklessly. Besides, the case has been resolved
- 33:10Speaker 2: in a Zaki County. There was a guilty play, and
- 33:23Speaker 2: the judge in the case, Sandy Williams has been around forever,
- 33:28Speaker 2: gave him thirty years. Now, I would have called for more.
- 33:32Speaker 2: The prosecutor actually called for forty five. But thirty isn't bad.
- 33:43Speaker 2: There is an attempt to do away with the truth
- 33:46Speaker 2: and sentencing laws that we have in Wisconsin, where go
- 33:49Speaker 2: back to the old days where you can get out
- 33:50Speaker 2: much earlier than the thirty years. But under the current laws,
- 33:54Speaker 2: he's still sentenced to thirty years, so he's got to
- 33:57Speaker 2: be locked up for a fairly long time. That is
- 33:59Speaker 2: a good rest of the case. We don't have in
- 34:03Speaker 2: the case of this guy, all sorts of prior terrible
- 34:07Speaker 2: criminal conduct that had him free to do what he
- 34:10Speaker 2: did at the time. In cases like this, all you
- 34:13Speaker 2: can do is react after the fact. And one other
- 34:18Speaker 2: court case to mention. This is an interesting story that
- 34:22Speaker 2: was reported earlier this week by The Daily Mail. The
- 34:27Speaker 2: Daily Mail, citing sources obviously there are leagues from the
- 34:33Speaker 2: United States Supreme Court describes the frustration of not just
- 34:38Speaker 2: the sixth conservative, our so called conservative justices, but even
- 34:43Speaker 2: two of the liberals, the frustration they have with out
- 34:46Speaker 2: of control radical Katanji Brown Jackson. We now have all
- 34:52Speaker 2: sorts of eight to one Supreme Court rulings cases in
- 34:56Speaker 2: which they're so open and shot that even the two
- 34:59Speaker 2: leftists on the court other than her will side with
- 35:02Speaker 2: the six conservatives. Let me quote briefly from the Daily
- 35:07Speaker 2: Meal story. Conservative Court insiders who opposed Jackson's nomination tell
- 35:13Speaker 2: me that's the reporter. The justice's belligerence has grown alongside
- 35:20Speaker 2: the disappointment of an activist who has discovered she cannot
- 35:23Speaker 2: do what President Biden wanted make policy. So the story
- 35:27Speaker 2: reports that her conduct in the chambers and the conduct
- 35:30Speaker 2: with the other justices is out of control, yelling, screaming,
- 35:33Speaker 2: impossible to deal with. Continuing. Ever since Justin Jackson arrived,
- 35:41Speaker 2: The New York Times reported last October, friction has been
- 35:44Speaker 2: building between her and Justices Soda, Mayor and Kagan, the
- 35:47Speaker 2: other two liberals who are more aligned strategically, and between
- 35:51Speaker 2: her and the rest of the court. Continuing she has
- 35:55Speaker 2: made herself an outsider even among her Democrat appointed colleagues.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Jackson's antagonistic, highly personalized style is widely seen as damaging
- 36:08Speaker 2: her ideological compatriots on the Court, the living constitutionalists, more
- 36:13Speaker 2: than the originalists. In other words, the argument that they're
- 36:16Speaker 2: making is that Katanji Brown Jackson is making such a
- 36:20Speaker 2: fool of herself that it's actually harming her side. They're
- 36:24Speaker 2: in the minority, obviously, it's six', three but as you,
- 36:27Speaker 2: know two of those six so called conservatives often flop
- 36:30Speaker 2: over to the other. Side the story's conclusion is that
- 36:37Speaker 2: the behavior Of, jackson if, anything is solidifying those six,
- 36:42Speaker 2: conservatives often to the point that the other two liberals
- 36:46Speaker 2: will go inside with them because nobody can handle dealing
- 36:50Speaker 2: With Katanji Brown. Jackson it reminds me of the stories
- 36:53Speaker 2: that we heard from The Wisconsin Supreme court ten or
- 36:56Speaker 2: fifteen years, ago of the absolutely impossible to deal with
- 36:58Speaker 2: conduct of Former Chief Justice Shirley abrahamson and her Buddy
- 37:04Speaker 2: Anne Walsh. Bradley the, problem of, course is That Supreme
- 37:10Speaker 2: court justices are appointed for. Life Joe biden Put Katanji
- 37:14Speaker 2: Brown jackson on the. Court the prospects of impeaching a
- 37:19Speaker 2: leftist judge just for being a lunatic and behaving like
- 37:22Speaker 2: an idiot are almost impossible to be able to get
- 37:25Speaker 2: the first of all the fifty to fifty, voted then
- 37:27Speaker 2: the two thirds necessary for your conviction and. Removal so
- 37:30Speaker 2: she's going to be here apparently for the next thirty
- 37:32Speaker 2: to thirty five. Years As i've pointed out again and
- 37:35Speaker 2: again and again and, again judicial appointments matter more than
- 37:39Speaker 2: almost anything a public official does because they last. Longer
- 37:48Speaker 2: this is The Mark Belling. Podcast this is The Mark Belling.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Podcast this, week in front of The United States, senate
- 38:01Speaker 2: a great personal, risk a whistleblower testified as to what
- 38:08Speaker 2: was going on during The biden administration behind the scenes
- 38:11Speaker 2: and THE cia with regard to THE covid origin. INVESTIGATION
- 38:18Speaker 2: a lot of. Words let me. EXPLAIN covid showed up
- 38:22Speaker 2: in twenty twenty and we had one of the Greatest
- 38:27Speaker 2: american freak outs of all. Time in, retrospect it was
- 38:31Speaker 2: a grotesque, overreaction filled with violations of people's rights and
- 38:35Speaker 2: didn't do a damn. Thing doggone near everybody in The
- 38:38Speaker 2: United states was exposed to or GOT covid and like most,
- 38:42Speaker 2: VIRUSES i just think that that's the way they're going
- 38:44Speaker 2: to play out unless there's a treatment for, them or
- 38:47Speaker 2: unless the virus is very hard to. TRANSMIT, aids for,
- 38:51Speaker 2: example requires blood to blood. Contact and given the fact
- 38:55Speaker 2: that once the virus got out of the, bag it
- 38:57Speaker 2: was inevitable just about everybody was going to get, IT
- 39:00Speaker 2: i just contend we shouldn't have done anything other than
- 39:02Speaker 2: encourage people to do the things that they can to avoid,
- 39:04Speaker 2: it like you have tried to avoid getting the coal
- 39:05Speaker 2: of the flu and so. On but we didn't do,
- 39:08Speaker 2: that and instead we took away people's, rights shut down,
- 39:10Speaker 2: society damage the, economy caused the hyperinflation that we're still
- 39:14Speaker 2: trying to get rid, of and so. On in the, meantime,
- 39:17Speaker 2: though the truth about where this virus came from was
- 39:24Speaker 2: suppressed and covered. Up it was suppressed and covered up
- 39:28Speaker 2: because the very guy whose job it was to tell
- 39:30Speaker 2: us how to deal with the virus was the guy
- 39:33Speaker 2: who may have been responsible in the first place for the.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Virus even, Existing Anthony fauci helped launder a. Grant gain
- 39:44Speaker 2: of function research was illegal in The United. States type
- 39:47Speaker 2: of research in which you do research on viruses within
- 39:52Speaker 2: animals and whether or not they can jump to human.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Beings very very dangerous to. You to create a virus
- 39:58Speaker 2: in a, lab give it to an, animal see how it,
- 40:03Speaker 2: handles and that that thing doesn't get out of the.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Lab so we banned. It so we gave a. Grant
- 40:08Speaker 2: So fauci gave a grant to An american, organization which
- 40:11Speaker 2: then turned around and gave the grant to a lab In, China.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Wuhan the first PLACE covid showed up Was, Wuhan, china
- 40:23Speaker 2: and we know that they were doing research on this
- 40:26Speaker 2: very virus in the lab At. Wuhan it didn't take
- 40:29Speaker 2: a genius to figure out that the virus came out
- 40:32Speaker 2: of the, lab yet they told us it. Didn't fauci
- 40:37Speaker 2: lied and lied and. Lied the reason for the, lie of,
- 40:40Speaker 2: course was to cover up the fact that he was
- 40:43Speaker 2: the guy that started the whole thing by giving the
- 40:45Speaker 2: money to the. Lab fauci IS i, think a purely evil.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Person rather than admit he screwed, up he instead covered
- 40:56Speaker 2: the whole thing up and then led this overreaction to.
- 41:02Speaker 2: It because the lefties decided to Believe fauci from the.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Beginning they can't turn around and simply acknowledge that a
- 41:08Speaker 2: he was, wrong even though by our own behavior we
- 41:10Speaker 2: now RETREAT covid very very. Differently they've now he sent
- 41:14Speaker 2: by their, actions acknowledged he's, wrong but they've never focused
- 41:17Speaker 2: on trying to do anything about the monster. Himself so
- 41:22Speaker 2: we have these. Hearings Rand, Paul senator From kentucky has
- 41:25Speaker 2: been obsessed with Exposing. Faucie we know of a whistleblower
- 41:29Speaker 2: talking about the CIA's. Assessment, Now fauchie's not THE, cia
- 41:33Speaker 2: but it's the CIA's job to look into what's going
- 41:36Speaker 2: on in foreign, countries and they their. Assessment the whistleblower
- 41:39Speaker 2: points out from the, beginning at least from twenty, one
- 41:44Speaker 2: was the virus got out of the. Lab yet for
- 41:47Speaker 2: three full, years THE cia did not disclose, this according
- 41:51Speaker 2: to the, whistleblower because it was not in The biden
- 41:54Speaker 2: administration's interest to have THE, cia which is now. Theirs,
- 41:58Speaker 2: remember in twenty twenty THE cia Was. Trump trump was
- 42:02Speaker 2: the president Of january of twenty twenty. One biden comes
- 42:05Speaker 2: in in twenty twenty, one and THE cia assessment comes.
- 42:07Speaker 2: In at that, point The biden administration was continuing all
- 42:12Speaker 2: of the lockdowns in pushing the, vaccines et, cetera and
- 42:17Speaker 2: they were vested in Protecting. Fauci according to the whistleblower
- 42:21Speaker 2: who testified in front of The senate this, week THE
- 42:25Speaker 2: cia knew the virus came out of the, lab yet
- 42:30Speaker 2: didn't release their, assessment Allowing fauci to keep putting out these.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Lies you'll recall that it was so extreme That fauci
- 42:38Speaker 2: got a bunch of scientists to sign a letter saying
- 42:41Speaker 2: it was ridiculous to say that it came from the,
- 42:43Speaker 2: lab so a conclusion that was obvious in the. Beginning of,
- 42:46Speaker 2: course it came from the. Lab people who came up
- 42:49Speaker 2: with that were called conspiracy, theorists, liars and so, on
- 42:52Speaker 2: Because fauci conspired to knock down a story that was.
- 42:56Speaker 2: True so if we can't get into the actual, origins
- 43:01Speaker 2: which of course is then key to determine how you
- 43:03Speaker 2: deal with the thing like in the, future let's not
- 43:07Speaker 2: let anybody do this. Research and, secondly let's not Have
- 43:10Speaker 2: american dollars. Funded and, thirdly anybody dumb enough to try
- 43:13Speaker 2: to get around the law by laundering this money should
- 43:15Speaker 2: not be somebody that is actually overseeing our handling of such.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Viruses the obvious, conclusion if we learned that this came
- 43:22Speaker 2: out of the laugh from the, beginning would have been
- 43:24Speaker 2: to Get fauci's butt out of there, instantaneously because he's
- 43:27Speaker 2: the monster who created the whole. Thing Rand paul is
- 43:33Speaker 2: adamant That fauci be. Charged so far The TRUMP doj
- 43:37Speaker 2: hasn't done.
- 43:37Speaker 3: It.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Now part of the thinking, HERE i, think is If
- 43:39Speaker 2: fauci's really, old so what What fauci? Did compare this
- 43:49Speaker 2: to the hell that The january sixth defendants went. Through
- 43:55Speaker 2: compare the actions Of. Fauci let me move now to another.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Story Greg goettfeld has been on, this And i'm piggybacking
- 44:06Speaker 2: off of a point that he makes AS i go
- 44:07Speaker 2: into another. Story there have now been three separate stories
- 44:12Speaker 2: Of democratic politicians in The United states having affairs With chinese.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Spies the most recent one is a mayor In. California
- 44:20Speaker 2: the Big, wood of, course Was Eric, swalwell who was
- 44:23Speaker 2: the congress From california and was the front runner in
- 44:25Speaker 2: The california nomination for, governor and in, fact even though
- 44:28Speaker 2: The chinese spy story was, known he was still leading
- 44:32Speaker 2: in the polls Because democrats In california apparently don't care
- 44:35Speaker 2: if a congressman is having an affair with A chinese.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Spy was only torpedoed because of other allegations that came
- 44:43Speaker 2: forward about sexual, misconduct including sexual. Assault so these cases keep.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Coming it's first of, all very very. Clear, now The
- 44:52Speaker 2: china puts people in The United, states often people who
- 44:56Speaker 2: Become american, citizens and compet sates them very, well the
- 45:01Speaker 2: spy For china and send information back to. Us in
- 45:08Speaker 2: the case of a, mayor it can be any you could, say,
- 45:11Speaker 2: well what information would that? Be maybe it's this tech
- 45:13Speaker 2: company involved There, swallwell it's the highest motivation. Possible the
- 45:18Speaker 2: guy was a member Of congress and on the way
- 45:20Speaker 2: to becoming A. Senate imagine if The chinese spies have
- 45:23Speaker 2: their tentacles into. That so these stories keep coming and. Coming,
- 45:28Speaker 2: Now i'm sure you're going to get A chinese spy
- 45:30Speaker 2: hooked up to Some republican. Politician i'm not suggesting that
- 45:33Speaker 2: that there's any kind of, hornings that there Aren't republican
- 45:37Speaker 2: officials that aren't just as horning and just as. Reckless
- 45:39Speaker 2: but it's been a lot Of democrats so far that
- 45:41Speaker 2: have been exposed for being involved With chinese, spies which
- 45:44Speaker 2: brings us to this story because it isn't. That for,
- 45:47Speaker 2: once it's not A chinese. Spy But i'm telling you it's.
- 45:50Speaker 2: Weirder it's another guy In california who is running for.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Governor this guy's already been knocked out of the race.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Too there's a. Billionaire his name Is Stephen. Klubek when
- 46:01Speaker 2: the race, started he was thought to have. It the
- 46:03Speaker 2: Big democrats that were running in the beginning Were, Swallwell Katie,
- 46:07Speaker 2: porter the member Of congress who apparently is the meanest
- 46:10Speaker 2: woman in the. World they were a problem In. California
- 46:14Speaker 2: all of their candidates for governor are. Imploding and there Was,
- 46:19Speaker 2: clubec And klubec was thought to have a chance because
- 46:21Speaker 2: he's a. Billionaire in a state Like, california you need
- 46:23Speaker 2: a ton of money to be able to run in
- 46:25Speaker 2: a state that, big with that many, people ads and
- 46:27Speaker 2: all these different markets and so, on And klubec had
- 46:30Speaker 2: the ability to sell. Finance klubec's candidacy ended when he
- 46:37Speaker 2: was criminally. Charged there's a story from THE abc affiliate
- 46:42Speaker 2: In Los. Angeles we have that ready. DAY i want
- 46:45Speaker 2: you to just. Listen this is the audio track of
- 46:47Speaker 2: a television, story but it's rather self. Explanatory if there's
- 46:51Speaker 2: any holes in, It i'll pick it. Up BUT i
- 46:53Speaker 2: want you to listen to What, clubec this billionaire who
- 46:56Speaker 2: had been running for governor Of, california is now accused of.
- 46:59Speaker 4: DOING a former candid for governor Of california has been.
- 47:02Speaker 4: Arrested Eyewitness news Reporter Josh haskell JOINS Us now with
- 47:06Speaker 4: what we're learning about the charges Against Stephen. Klubek Josh.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Philip Billionaire Stephen klubeck turned himself into The La County
- 47:13Speaker 3: Sheriff's department at Their West hollywood station On tuesday morning
- 47:17Speaker 3: on a felony warrant for alleged violation of dissuading or
- 47:20Speaker 3: intimidating a witness of or a victim of a. Crime
- 47:23Speaker 3: Eyewitness news has learned That klubec was or still is
- 47:26Speaker 3: romantically involved with A Los angeles model Named Audva, levie
- 47:31Speaker 3: who also goes By Mia. Ventura that is the same
- 47:34Speaker 3: person we've been reporting on four months who is accused
- 47:37Speaker 3: of targeting older men on dating apps and then burglarizing their.
- 47:40Speaker 3: Homes according to the, Complaint klubec attempted to prevent at
- 47:45Speaker 3: least two alleged victims Of levi from testifying against.
- 47:48Speaker 4: Her back In.
- 47:49Speaker 3: March, now back in, Marsh Los Angeles county district attorney
- 47:53Speaker 3: Ordered Oudva levie to stand trial on six felony. Charges
- 47:58Speaker 3: District Attorney Nathan hawkman said her ability to deceptively influence,
- 48:02Speaker 3: others whether in person or, online has now come to an.
- 48:05Speaker 3: End detectives Say levie extorted wealthy older men and younger
- 48:10Speaker 3: women In Westlake, Village West, Hollywood Los, angeles And Beverly.
- 48:14Speaker 3: Hills they say she posed as a girlfriend or travel,
- 48:17Speaker 3: companion then stole, cash credit, cards and high end designer.
- 48:21Speaker 3: Items if convicted on all, Counts levee faces up to
- 48:25Speaker 3: over eleven years in state. Prison, now kluebec he has
- 48:29Speaker 3: been released after posting three hundred thousand dollars.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Bail all, right, NOW i think that story self, explanatory
- 48:38Speaker 2: BUT i have. Questions klubec is the billionaire had been
- 48:43Speaker 2: running for. Governor now the woman has two. Names her
- 48:47Speaker 2: real name Is Avo levie and her fake name that
- 48:51Speaker 2: she was using on the dating sites is Mia. VENTURA i.
- 48:55Speaker 2: MADE i gotta admit as fake names from a, woman
- 48:57Speaker 2: goes Mia ventura is pretty. Good ventura is a city In,
- 49:00Speaker 2: california and me of, it you, KNOW i, mean just
- 49:02Speaker 2: hearing the Name Mia, ventura doesn't she sound? Hot it
- 49:06Speaker 2: sounds like a Striggle i'm. SAYING i, mean it sounds
- 49:08Speaker 2: like and why would a stripper pick a name like
- 49:10Speaker 2: that to make yourself sound? Hot, now even a real,
- 49:12Speaker 2: Name Advo levi sounds kind of exotic. Anyway so what
- 49:16Speaker 2: she is is she's one of these women that goes
- 49:20Speaker 2: online and meets really rich older. Men, now some of these,
- 49:27Speaker 2: cases the guys know what the deal. Is they call
- 49:31Speaker 2: it the girlfriend. EXPERIENCE i just thankful you could, Say,
- 49:35Speaker 2: well would you ever? Know i'm way too dull And
- 49:41Speaker 2: i'm Way i'm nowhere near desperate. ENOUGH i, mean why
- 49:46Speaker 2: DO i want to go out with some hot woman
- 49:48Speaker 2: who's thirty years? Old pay her for having to for doing,
- 49:52Speaker 2: it pay her to do, it knowing damn well that
- 49:54Speaker 2: she doesn't like me at. All, nonetheless a lot of
- 49:56Speaker 2: these guys do. It they show them off and they
- 49:59Speaker 2: pay them for Their i'm. Etc What levie was accused
- 50:04Speaker 2: of doing Mea, ventura the fake name that she had
- 50:06Speaker 2: was she wasn't just taking the. Money she was then
- 50:09Speaker 2: cleaning out their bank accounts and stealing their. Money that's
- 50:12Speaker 2: not part of the. Deal so in some instances the
- 50:16Speaker 2: guys thought sincerely that the woman loves. Me but in other,
- 50:20Speaker 2: cases somebody who is like a paid companion and so
- 50:23Speaker 2: one used the access that she had and obviously you
- 50:25Speaker 2: can get the credit card, number was running all sorts
- 50:27Speaker 2: of financial. Scams so that's what she was. DOING clubec
- 50:33Speaker 2: is now accused of contacting some of these men and
- 50:38Speaker 2: trying to urge them not to cooperate Against. Ventura so
- 50:43Speaker 2: Obviously cluebec And ventura are an, item which makes me
- 50:48Speaker 2: question is she just one of his? Marks and after
- 50:53Speaker 2: all this has been, exposed is he's so stupid to
- 50:56Speaker 2: not realize she's a? Scammer or is he the one
- 51:02Speaker 2: one guy that she isn't scamming that she actually is
- 51:05Speaker 2: hooked up with and it's all the. Others either, Way
- 51:13Speaker 2: i'll put yourself in the other guy's. Shoes you're A,
- 51:16Speaker 2: cluebeck you're a, billionaire and you're running for. Governor wouldn't
- 51:21Speaker 2: you ditch me A ventura the first? Chance you? Guy
- 51:24Speaker 2: what do you care about? Her and now he's a,
- 51:29Speaker 2: billionaire he's willing to get witnessed hampering as a. Felony
- 51:34Speaker 2: he's accused of contacting witnesses against her other old farts
- 51:38Speaker 2: and trying to pressure them not to testify against her
- 51:41Speaker 2: in order to save her from having to go to.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Prison why would you do with? That are you so
- 51:49Speaker 2: enamored with? Her or is she just so good at
- 51:53Speaker 2: this that while all the other while she's been caught
- 51:55Speaker 2: with all the other, guys he still is falling for. Her.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Crap i've said ninety seven million times that you can
- 52:07Speaker 2: never ever underestimate how some guys will make a fool
- 52:12Speaker 2: of themselves over. WOMEN i just you can't. Underestimate it
- 52:15Speaker 2: works the other way. Too but when women make fools
- 52:19Speaker 2: of themselves over, guys it tends to manifest itself in different.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Ways like the women rarely spend a huge amount of
- 52:25Speaker 2: money in the. Guy they just it tends not to
- 52:29Speaker 2: work that. Way it's the other the other it's it's
- 52:31Speaker 2: the other way. Around there's other things that can go
- 52:35Speaker 2: on when women can become obsessed or get involved in
- 52:38Speaker 2: these kinds of, things and women female obsession or very
- 52:41Speaker 2: very real. Thing but just look over the Last just take,
- 52:46Speaker 2: politics you, know, news, whatever some of the athletes been
- 52:50Speaker 2: involved in. UNBELIEVABLE i, mean you can talk About. Belichick
- 52:54Speaker 2: there's nothing criminal there other than the whole world's laughing
- 52:57Speaker 2: at him for this woman that's making a take it
- 53:00Speaker 2: over his life managing his. Thing let's talk about the
- 53:07Speaker 2: collapse of the deal Between Governor evers And republican legislative.
- 53:12Speaker 2: Leaders that was an attempt to give both sides what they.
- 53:16Speaker 2: Want here in twenty twenty, Six evers desperately wants an
- 53:21Speaker 2: increase in funding for, schools and the lefties are just
- 53:23Speaker 2: in love with funding. Schools the state has a massive
- 53:26Speaker 2: pot of money laying around because once again we're running a.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Surplus The republicans have been trying to get a tax
- 53:33Speaker 2: cut for years but can't get one With evers being the.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Governor so even though we're running, surpluses meaning the state
- 53:37Speaker 2: has way more money than's, necessary we've not been able
- 53:40Speaker 2: to raise cut, taxes and in, Fact evers raised Property
- 53:45Speaker 2: there's an automatic increase in property taxes every year In
- 53:48Speaker 2: wisconsin because Of ever's so called four hundred year. Veto
- 53:52Speaker 2: he used his veto power to take words out of
- 53:55Speaker 2: a sentence that ended up with an automatic increase and
- 54:00Speaker 2: property taxes for the school aid formula every year for
- 54:03Speaker 2: the next four hundred. Years so they cut a. Deal
- 54:08Speaker 2: evers is a lame, duck got nothing to. Lose the
- 54:11Speaker 2: Two republican legislative leaders are also lame, ducks so it
- 54:14Speaker 2: created a scenario where they, SIMPLY i won't say that
- 54:18Speaker 2: cut it in half Because ever's got about two. Thirds
- 54:22Speaker 2: most of the money went To evers to give to the.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Schools but there's so much money there that there are
- 54:29Speaker 2: still hundreds of millions left that would be used for
- 54:32Speaker 2: a property tax, relief a Big republican, priority and b tax.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Rebates every person In wisconsin with adult person would get
- 54:41Speaker 2: a three hundred dollars rebate six hundred per. Couple so
- 54:45Speaker 2: The republicans got cash in the hands of Every wisconsinite
- 54:48Speaker 2: at a time in which people need the, cash and
- 54:51Speaker 2: got property tax, relief And ever's got a fortune for the.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Schools the deal died yesterday had the legislative, session so
- 55:00Speaker 2: they called the special session to try to pass it
- 55:02Speaker 2: to The assembly and The. Senate The assembly passed the.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Bill all but Two republicans in The assembly voted for,
- 55:08Speaker 2: it AND i BELIEVE i don't have the exact number
- 55:11Speaker 2: it's about ten or Twelve democrats. Voted it passed The assembly,
- 55:14Speaker 2: easily like by more than twenty to. TWENTY i think
- 55:16Speaker 2: it was sixty one thirty. Seven in other, words The
- 55:19Speaker 2: assembly it carried. Easily you had a fair number Of
- 55:22Speaker 2: democrats and almost all The republicans voting for. It in
- 55:27Speaker 2: The senate it. Failed three of The republicans in The
- 55:35Speaker 2: senate voted against. It now The republican margin in The,
- 55:39Speaker 2: SENATE i THINK i said it was one. Vote it's.
- 55:40Speaker 2: Two three voted against, it along with all The. Democrats
- 55:46Speaker 2: if One democrat had Backed, evers it would have passed The,
- 55:49Speaker 2: senate meaning it would have passed The assembly and The
- 55:51Speaker 2: senate and goes To evers and be signed in the. Law,
- 55:56Speaker 2: now this whole thing's complicated because neither side liked the
- 55:59Speaker 2: deal that. Much and that's the problem with any. Deal
- 56:03Speaker 2: if you've got a democratic Governor republican, legislature the only
- 56:06Speaker 2: way you're going to get a deal is if you
- 56:07Speaker 2: get the other side way more than you want to
- 56:10Speaker 2: in order for you to get what it is that you.
- 56:11Speaker 2: Want and there's the whole what's going to happen After
- 56:19Speaker 2: november element of this The democrats who voted against, this
- 56:25Speaker 2: belief they're going to win the governorship and flip the.
- 56:27Speaker 2: Legislature the new maps which favor The democrats are in
- 56:33Speaker 2: effect they're very close to flipping the state setate as it,
- 56:37Speaker 2: is and they think they can flip The, assembly and
- 56:41Speaker 2: they believe they're going to win the governorship again because
- 56:43Speaker 2: everybody thinks it's going to be a democratic. Here everybody
- 56:46Speaker 2: other Than new King ritide thinks it's going to be
- 56:47Speaker 2: A republican. Whitebot so The democrats are, thinking why past,
- 56:53Speaker 2: This why don't we wait and give it all to the?
- 56:57Speaker 2: Schools why do the property tax? Relief do the cash? Rebates,
- 57:01Speaker 2: see The democrats don't want to give you property tax,
- 57:04Speaker 2: relief and they don't want to give you any extra tax.
- 57:07Speaker 2: Relief they want to raise. Taxes they don't want to
- 57:09Speaker 2: lower anything for. Anybody they want all of. It the
- 57:14Speaker 2: only positive that comes out of this is it exposes.
- 57:17Speaker 2: Them now you can, say well White Three republicans opposed.
- 57:20Speaker 2: It In Tom, tiffany The Republican kennedy for governor also opposed.
- 57:23Speaker 2: It they thought it was a giveaway to The, democrats
- 57:27Speaker 2: but The democrats thought it wasn't enough of a, giveaway
- 57:30Speaker 2: AND i Mean tiffany's. Right at the very least they
- 57:34Speaker 2: should have split the money down the, middle but more
- 57:36Speaker 2: of it went into aid to, schools the last entity
- 57:39Speaker 2: In wisconsin that needs more. Money there is nothing more
- 57:42Speaker 2: grotesquely overfunded in the state Of. Wisconsin i'll take that.
- 57:46Speaker 2: Back there's one thing more over grotesquely overfunded in the
- 57:49Speaker 2: state Of wisconsin the public, schools and that's the university.
- 57:51Speaker 2: System both are always crying. Poor all you have to
- 57:55Speaker 2: do is take a look at other people running around
- 57:57Speaker 2: with dubious. Jobs talk to anybody from the private sector
- 58:00Speaker 2: who goes in to meet with the schools on some
- 58:03Speaker 2: meeting for, anything some construction for, something or some plumbing
- 58:08Speaker 2: or some engineering or some buying a. Curriculum there's always
- 58:12Speaker 2: like seventeen people from the schools there to me to
- 58:15Speaker 2: talk to the one person the private. Sector so The republicans,
- 58:20Speaker 2: felt Some republicans there are only three of, them voted against,
- 58:23Speaker 2: it felt that we can win this election With Tom,
- 58:29Speaker 2: tiffany and we'll be in a much better bargaining. Position
- 58:33Speaker 2: if we hold the legislature and Get tiffany, in we
- 58:37Speaker 2: can do the whole thing and property tax. Relief we
- 58:39Speaker 2: can Kill evers's four hundred year, Veto we can do
- 58:41Speaker 2: the whole. Thing why settle for this, Now why take
- 58:45Speaker 2: a huge chunk of this. Surplus you, know once you
- 58:47Speaker 2: give it, away you get it. Away so we end
- 58:52Speaker 2: up getting. Nothing and it's all key on if the you,
- 58:58Speaker 2: know if The republicans do not win the. Governorship rejecting
- 59:02Speaker 2: this thing was a disaster and it will have cost
- 59:04Speaker 2: all of us hundreds of dollars in the, rebates and
- 59:06Speaker 2: it will mean that we have once again done nothing
- 59:08Speaker 2: about property taxes that are. Exploding, now if Indeed tiffany,
- 59:12Speaker 2: wins AND i think it's, possible especially if The democrats
- 59:15Speaker 2: run A marxist Like Francesca. Hang If tiffany wins and
- 59:18Speaker 2: they can hold the state, LEGISLATURE i think they did
- 59:22Speaker 2: the right, thing because you can do a better deal.
- 59:24Speaker 2: Then BUT i think most people from the perspective on
- 59:27Speaker 2: The republican side would say that this is the best
- 59:28Speaker 2: that you're ever going to, do and probably they should
- 59:30Speaker 2: have taken the. Deal by the, way you multiply the
- 59:37Speaker 2: number is out there, somewhere AND i don't have. It
- 59:39Speaker 2: children aren't, involved but you multiply three hundred dollars toward
- 59:43Speaker 2: most adults in the state Of. Wisconsin that's a significant
- 59:45Speaker 2: amount of money that would have been pumped back into
- 59:47Speaker 2: the local, economy plus helping out a fair number of.
- 59:50Speaker 2: People AND i acknowledge. THIS i. SEE i think that
- 59:52Speaker 2: the deal kind of sucked because you, know you have
- 59:54Speaker 2: A republican legislature that's half of state. Government why didn't
- 59:58Speaker 2: you get a bigger chunk of the money for tax?
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Relief and why do you have to cater to The
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: democrats in this constant desire to throw even more money
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: into the ridiculously overfunded. Schools, still you have to assess
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: your bargaining, power and sometimes you not only can't get
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: all that you, want sometimes you can't get most of
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: what you want in order to get some of the
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: things that you really. Need you're listening to The Mark
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Dave michaels is in. Here if you and the state said,
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: it would you have voted for? This, well that's a good,
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: question he, Said are you a lame? Duck one of
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: the THING i should mention the Three republicans in The
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: senate voted against. It Rob hutton IS i want to
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: be careful. Here hutton is a lame. Duck, correct, yes
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: and so Is Steve. Nass these are both. Nascid particular
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: is a conscientious. Conservative he's a lame. Duck he's not running.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: Again hutton has been a moderate. Conservative he's a lame.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Duck And i've got the third, Name Chris, kapping a
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: conservative From. Waukeshawkani they were the three that voted against.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: It kapping it is the only one that is not
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: a lame. Duck dave, says AM i a lame, duck
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: WHICH i think obviously matters with political considerations. INVOLVED i
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: think Most republicans in the legislature would like to have
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: voted for this so that they can, brag, hey because
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: these rebate checks will be coming out right in the
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: middle of the election, year and they could brag about
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: the FACT i gave you this. Money, WELL i Fought
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Tony evers and got you this. Money, now if you're
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: somebody who's a lame duck not, running maybe it doesn't
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: matter as much to. You you can take a more
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: principal stance THAT i am not going to vote to
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: give another penny to these blasted. Skulls, Well i'll just
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: put it this. Way let's imagine you live in a
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: Safe republican, district so lame duck are. Not you're probably
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: gonna win. Reelection when you voted yes or, no you
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: would have voted. Yes there's also the thing of people
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: have their own you. Know the thing with to the
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: three hundred dollars rebates six hundred a. COUPLE i, Mean
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: i'm telling You i'd take the, money but there are
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: people me and way richer than me from it doesn't
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: change your, life but there are a lot of. People
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: six hundred bucks is a lifeline of two. Months they
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: just sneeze at it and sneeze at it and sneeze
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: at it and sneeze at it and sneeze at. It,
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: well you're in a tax. Hell but the thing that
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: makes it tricky is this whole thing with the election,
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: now if The democrats win the, governorship not taking this
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: deal was a terrible decision by the Three republicans that
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: voted against, it because you'll never get it. Again never
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: you lose the, legislature you lose the, governorship they're just
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: going to raise taxes and that money that we would
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: have gotten. Here you, know the thing about the rebate
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: is they can't take it back from. You they can
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: raise taxes at, it but at least you have. It
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: on the other, hand if they can win the election this,
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: fall and maybe it's going to be harder to do
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: because they can't brag on giving you these rebates in, terms,
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: though the biggest POSITIVE i would say that comes out
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: of this is you can just make it clear that
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: we now, see for all the talk that The democrats
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: make about the middle class and so, on they killed
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: this thing because they didn't want to give a penny
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: of the surplus back to. Taxpayers they want to spend it,
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: all every last one of them in The, SENATE a
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: few in The assembly did vote for. It from the
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: perspective Of Tom, TIFFANY i, MEAN i know where he's coming.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: From he thinks he's going to, win and when he,
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: wins he wants to take that whole surplus and give
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: it back to the. Taxpayers so he doesn't want to
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: have it committed to be wasted By Tony evers on
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: the schools right, now at, Least i'm putting words In tiffany's,
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: mouth but that's HOW i assume that he sizes the situation.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Up you're listening to The Mark belling. Podcast this is
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: The Mark Belling podcast for those of you that unwisely
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: have no listen to the prior five that we've done
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: here in season. Two one of the issues That i've
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: been talking about from time to time because it fascinates,
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: me is this phenomenon of GEN z that's twenty five
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: and under going to. Church this is all started within
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: the last year in very high. Number it's not more than,
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: half but it's been. Estimated there's been a lot of
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: stories written about this that a higher percentage of GEN
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: z go to church than any of the other generations
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: that we, have including the baby. Boomers just. USUAL i mean,
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: forever the older you, are THE likeli ought to be
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: a church. Attendee AND i think the reason for that is.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Obvious you can front your own mocrolity and so. On
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: it's just that it's ear right, now particularly males and Particularly.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Catholics christian churches across the board are seeing, increase but
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: in particular they've been increases among young people going To catholic.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: Church some of it has been attributed a certain influencers
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: who have Embraced, catholicism including some influencers who seem otherwise
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: to be rather. Batty Nick Fouene's Candice owans both practice And.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Catholics others attributed to the awakening of faith in the
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: wake of the assassination Of Charlie, kirk WHICH i think
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: is a real part of. This. Now Charlie kirk was Not,
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: catholic but the people that are going back to church
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: appear to be conservative in their religious beliefs rather than.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: Liberal in The Catholic church obviously has components to it
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: that are very liberal and components to it that are very.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: Conservative and we've been sharing from some responses from the.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Audience they only pick out one or, two But i've
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: shared the ones THAT i think not insulting anybody else's
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: response say why don't you read my? Thing that are
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: the most thought pro, Booking AND i shared one on
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: the last podcast that we did in WHICH i felt
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: the person THAT i don't say, stumbled came upon the,
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: truth and that is that there are, simply right, now
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: so many influencers that are out there with A catholic
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Or christian message and explaining. It you can't just tell
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: people Except jesus you're going to go To. Hell you
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: have to, persuade particularly if you're dealing with a young
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: person who's had no exposure to religion their entire, lives
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: but is open to new ideas because they just sense
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: that something's very. Wrong you've got to explain. Why you've
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: got to explain the miracles that have. Occurred you've got
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: to explain the argument that there is A god who
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: created the. World for those that Are, christian and obviously
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: some are, not you have to explain That Jesus christ was,
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: divine and you have to do it in a way
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: in which you take facts and build the. Case and
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: build the. Case younger people who have spent their lives
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: being exposed to social media and influencers can be influenced on.
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: This some influencers are baddier than the weirdest people in the,
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: world like these people that do video standing on the
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: street threatening police. Officers but if you can be a goofball,
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: influencer you can also be a positive. One AND i
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: think that explanation makes the most. Sense BUT i want
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: to share this. ONE i don't like identifying people who
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: share this with, me but this guy gives me his.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: Title i'm not going to give you his, name BUT
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: i am going to give you his, position which means
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: the people that are part of this, church would know.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: Him he's Not, catholic, Said i'm A christian of a
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: master's in, theology AND i am an ordained chaplin and
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: currently teach apologetics At Elmbuk. Church what's. Apologetics it's not
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: what you think it. Is apologetics is the field of
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: persuading people of your religious. Belief it's not quite. Evangelism
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: evangelism is the attempt to. Conversion but the apologetics would
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: be somebody who's a scholar who then gives you the
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: reasons why you should believe the way you. Do AND
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: i think that if that's not a perfect, definition it's.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: Close this is what he does At Umbrook. Church in other,
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: words he tries to teach the validity Of bible teachings
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: and so, on and why you should believe. It it makes the,
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: case he, continues where we discuss What christians, believe why
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: we believe, it and how to defend our. FAITH i
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: consider myself very knowledgeable on the current state Of christianity In.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: America you've made some really good points on why young
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: men are turning back to the, church BUT i think
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: a few critical elements are still being, overlooked mainly the
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: connection between young men returning to both faith and. Conservatism
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: so he's, saying it's not just that they're going back to,
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: church it's that you have had a significant chunk of
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: young men becoming. Conservative trump got the under twenty two.
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: VOTE i don't know that A republican has gotten the
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: under twenty two vote in seventy years in this. Country
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: that was not his, comment that's. Mine so he's saying they're.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: Linked several factors seem to be driving this demographic. Shift
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: you would be a mistake to overstate the impact of
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: any of these factors, individually but combined they seem to
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: be giving us insight on the shift we are. Seeing
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: One Charlie, KIRK i mean The Charlie kirk. Thing he,
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: says it's an obvious. One this is the one part
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: of this THAT i think is not. Complicated he points
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: out appeal to, faith, family and pushing back against THE.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: Ei young men are hearing that it's okay to be,
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: masculine desire marriage and, family love, country and reject progressive culture.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: Expectations church becomes a place where they can find, identity,
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: purpose and. Community two surge Of christian. Nationalism many young
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: men increasingly Connect, christianity, patriotism and. Conservatism, Admittedly trump is
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: a conservative and imperfect and controversial and imperfect ambassador For,
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: christianity but many young men view him as someone willing
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: to fight for values they can still can still consider
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: honorable and. True When trump aligns With, christianity Honors Charlie,
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: kirk surrounds himself With, christians pushes BACK, dei and embraces.
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: Masculinity young men listen three return of. MASCULINITY i think
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: that this is a big portion of. It many young
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: men were raised being told to step, aside suppress, masculinity
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: and to accommodate girl. Power that atmosphere has. Shifted Gen
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: z men embrace, mma expercial, arts and trade schools over.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: College they've listened To Joe, rogan who Witnessed trump's Fight
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: Fight fight. Movement they SEE Jd vance At Pete hegseith
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: as men embodying a form of masculinity they were told
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: was outdated and. Unwelcome all these reinforce the messages that
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: it's okay to be a strong masculine man. AGAIN i
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: think he's correct about. That i'm not sure if it
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: directly relates going back to. Church, however continuing four resurgence of,
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: apologetics and again that's what he does and explain what that.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: Is so let me give you his. Explanation this is
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: a huge. Factor young men increasingly Want christianity presented not
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: as blind, faith but as something intellectually, serious, factual, reasonable and.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: DEFENSIBLE i agree with that. Entirely Joe rogan recently interviewed
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: Leading christian Apologist Stephen meyer And Wesley, huff bringing discussions
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: about intelligent design and the historical reliability of The bible
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: into mainstream. Culture Ellie stuckey has also given influence by
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: pushing back On dei ideology while avigating For christian living
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: and biblical. Values now let me interject in that. Point
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: first of, all that you could Get christian, apologetics and
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: again that term is somebody who explains the Why christianity is.
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: Correct and AGAIN i understand some of Your, jewish some
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: of your something, else and you don't agree with. That
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: i'm just talking about the phenomenon to get On Joe,
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: rogan he's GOT i, mean it goes back and, forth
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: BUT i would, say over, time the most successful podcast
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: in the history of. Podcasting it's a massive. AUDIENCE i
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: mean that time you would have thought just a few
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: years ago as a niche. Topic who wants to hear
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: somebody explaining why you should be A? Christian and how
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: do you get a mass audience of young? Guys so
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: listen Butt, rogan who's always followed his own lead and
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: has eclectic and sometimes weirdo, views he goes in the
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: direction that interrace, him and he gave this a platform
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: and gave it a. FORUM i have always argued that
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: the people who say THAT i don't believe In, GOD
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: i believe in, science can be easily. Debugged you, simply
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: in my, mind cannot explain how we are here and
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: how complex our world is here without a. Creator when
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: you consider how almost every species interacts with one, another
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: and some of the incredible things that have to happen
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: for species to reproduce and for things to. Happen to
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: suggest that something just banged and all of that happened
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: to me is. Ridiculous and that's before we get into
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: evidence of miracles and so. On continuing with the guy's,
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: discussion going to church is a modern form of. Rebellion
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: for many Gen Z, Men christianity And conservatism have become.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: Countercultural he's, right about. That WHEN i was a, kid
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: not going to church as. Countercultural now going to church
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: is a way of rebelling against everybody telling, No, god
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: don't do. That you know, this every pressive play and so.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: On they are pushing back against institutions and authorities that
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: told THEM covid policies were, unquestionable promote a gender, ideology
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: and normalized biological men competing in women's, sports in entering women's.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: Spaces for many young, men rejecting progressive orthodoxy has become
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: today's version of. Rebellion could it be young men are
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: finding a worldview And christianity that aligns with their own
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: view on how the world really is and should. Operate
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: another major factor is that GEN z men and women
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: are moving in very different Directions. Culturally young women are
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: far more likely to pursue advanced college, degrees move toward
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: progressive politics and identity as politically left or. Secular young
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: men are increasingly choosing trades over, college aligning with conservatism
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: and showing renewed openness To christianity and traditional. Values the
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: gender divide is no longer just. Political it now includes
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: education with, worldview, identity and. Religion one thing that caught
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: my attention in the pure religious landscape study is that
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: religion is generally declined with every. Generation that's, true except
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: there are now signs of renewed interest and stabilization among younger.
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: Men that was the point That i'm. Making that's clearly
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: what's going. On every generation that we have religious interest is,
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: declining except younger. Males that's the one where it's. Increasing
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: and that's WHY i keep talking about. This something's going
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: on and understanding what's going, on especially SINCE i think
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: it's a good. Thing it's, critical he, Continues and so
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: that's one. Theory Preakness. Stakes the second they call a
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: jewel a triple, Cord this one ain't a. Jewel what
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: do you call those gems that are like not the real?
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Thing like it's the cubit cycnia version of the diamond
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: or whatever costume. Jewelry that's what it. Is The preakness
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: is here just. Stinks i've done a couple of segments
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: explaining why it. Is you just can't have the race
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: two weeks after The Kentucky derby. Anymore hardly any trainer
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: likes to run a horse back on two weeks, rest
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: especially a younger horse orse three year olds are younger
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: because they just think it's gonna wreck them for the.
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: FUTURE i think that most who do it can replicate
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: a strong effort back in two, weeks but they pay
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: for it down the road by giving them too much too.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: Soon it's not the way everything always, was but it
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: is the way it is. Now so The Kentucky derby
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: winner once, again isn't There there are three horses from
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: The derby that are in the. Race otherwise the field
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: is rather. Weak in addition to, that there's not to
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: hardly be anybody. There that's a double. Negative but you
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: know WHAT i. Mean the race is not At pimlico In,
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: baltimore which is always a mob. Scene the infield is
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: wilder Than. Derby that track is being, rebuilt so they
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: moved it to their sister track In, Laurel, maryland much smaller,
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: track nowhere near the ability to handle any kind of a.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: Crowd attendance is capped at six thousand total people for
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: an eight hundred. Fans there are owners of horses on
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: the undercards of the races that can't even, go so
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: there's no atmosphere to it at. ALL i, mean six
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: thousands still a crowd for most race, tracks but it
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: won't be the normal. Thing, well they're still having the,
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: race and it's one of the Three Triple crown. Races
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: and if you have a five to one winner of
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: a meaning of a black race or five to one
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: winner of an epic, race it pays the same. Thing
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: you get twelve dollars for the two dollars bet that you.
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: Make So i've plugged away AND i have my analysis
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: for The Preakness States on stakes on my Website belling dot,
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: com also on x dot com under Mark Belling. SHOW
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: i do want to caution. YOU i have A i'm
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: describing it as a tepid. Opinion doesn't mean That i'm
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: not going to be. Right i'm trying as hard AS
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: i can to be right in my assessment of. It
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: BUT i don't have a strong feel for the. Race
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: so IF i hit the, thing don't come. Back you
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: told me YOU i don't know a strong, feel BUT
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: i might still be. Right But i'm not going to
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: be betting personally WHAT i would bet on a race
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: in WHICH i had a stronger, opinion because my opinion
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: isn't as. Strong so for those of you have an
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: interest REASON i put this at the end of the.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: Podcast some of you don't. Care most of you don't.
