  Speaker 1: me spankings, which he rarely dispensed if I really deserved it.

  Speaker 1: or spoil the child. Dad was loved throughout our community

  Speaker 1: and was always ready to help those in need. On

  Speaker 1: Christmas Day, after we opened our gifts and had breakfast,

  Speaker 1: to either a relative or friends who was down on

  Speaker 1: their luck, and would bring them both food and gifts.

  Speaker 1: It was Dad who first taught me about what a

  Speaker 1: great republic we live in and how we are blessed

  Speaker 1: to reside in this wonderful land. Of liberty and opportunity,

  Speaker 1: my life. Dad was elevated to heaven when I was

  Speaker 1: twelve years old. I thank God for a great Dad
