And for himself, that is a hilarious, hilarious **** but man, before we get started, man, how y'all doing today? Everybody doing good? I know, though you had a wild **** day. I know. But I'm above ground, so I'm good. Speaker 2 (01:39.438) Thanks. Man, the weather's starting to be nice. It's been 60s here, 60 plus, you feel me? Make sure you still put jackets on your kids. Make sure you're not out here with a tank top and shorts, because you're still going to get sick. It's still March. It's still March. I've been seeing sun dresses and shit. don't. Speaker 3 (02:01.055) Sundresses already? Hey, calm down. Calm down, South brother. They got the yams out already? That's crazy. A 65 degrees here, like, yo, it's 85. Hell no. Speaker 1 (02:13.902) They don't give a fuck. They don't give fuck. the We needed a break from playback. used to be a lot sometimes, all them games, but god, here she comes, talking about some low back. What's up, sis? At least take your shoes off at the door before you start coming in talking. How about that? How about that? What up? What up, Kida? All right. As y'all found them, we're gonna get this shit started, man. It's been a long day. So we're gonna start with the Big 10. Hey, Nick. Hey, I guess. Love you too. We're gonna start with the Big 10. What a tournament. Speaker 3 (03:03.746) it out. Speaker 2 (03:16.878) I'm sorry. Speaker 1 (03:23.49) but UCLA ended up coming out on top against USC 72 to 67. I'm gonna start with, I don't wanna get my thoughts yet. Nick saw it last after us, Nick fell asleep on it. he didn't see the shit that went on that live. know what saying? Watching it live was just crazy what we was watching. So he had to go back knowing the outcome, but what did you see? How'd you feel about that second half? Forget the first half. This is second. Man, my thoughts on the second half was you gotta give credit to UCLA, man. I know that we not as high on them as a lot of people and even you Jay, you was going at some UCLA fans earlier today. my God, I didn't even, hold on. I didn't even say it was a bad team. I just said, these are my concerns. This is what I don't, you know I'm saying? Like that's it, but go ahead. But yeah, mean, I think the second half was definitely wild. I mean, like I said, I give credit to UCLA for being able to fight back. There was also some very questionable calls made, especially like down the stretch of the game. But that's neither here nor there, honestly. UCLA just had a strong second half. I they outscored USC in the third quarter, 17 to nine. So I mean, when you're able to have an advantage like that, that's gonna help you to win any day. But just me watching the whole game. Speaker 2 (04:48.206) And I even told you last night, I gotta give Corey closer credit because we have been questioning what adjustments that UCLA was gonna make on Juju because she's been killing them, especially over the past two matches before this one on Sunday. And they definitely, yeah, it was definitely. But I mean, I definitely, give them a lot of credit honestly, because they threw different bodies at her. wasn't just London Jones. was players like Janiah Barker. was players like Kiki Rice even took on the matchup as well. So just- preserve Speaker 2 (05:16.046) different bodies on her and just you know throwing out like throwing you know just throwing double teams at her too like I think that definitely took her away from her game honestly I mean you look at the box where I you shot nine for 28 I mean had a strong first half not as strong of a second half honestly even though she did she did kind of go off like late in the game to you know to try to bring them back but all around I got a I got a I got to give UCLA the credit because like I said like I watched the first half I took a nap because I was still recovering. was sick over the weekend. So I took me like a mini nap and I'm thinking to myself, okay, USC up 10, Juju got 18 in the first half. I'm gonna take a nap. Cause I know Judea got me. There's no way that they're gonna lose this game. I wake up at like eight o'clock at night and I'm checking the score and I'm thinking, okay, cool. I'm refreshing my app. And then it says, you said like one. I'm like, what the fuck? Like what the fuck happened? So I immediately text y'all. I'm like, yo, there's no way that they lost this game. We're just looking at the overall game at. I do give credit to Lauren Betts as well. Had a much stronger performance than what she did actually in the last matchup. And I think one of the biggest difference was her demanding the rock. It's like I've been saying, she's a cheat code, honestly. when she's aggressive, especially on a low block, it's hard to defend her. So that definitely played a role as well. Yeah, I agree, Omar Hawkins did definitely play a good job of Juju as well. But also like is crazy because I was actually telling you guys other day that I thought that currently USC was the best team in the country, like currently at this moment, just because of how well they were playing down the stretch of the season and throughout the Big 10 tournament. It wasn't just Ju-Ju Watkins, was everybody else that was contributing. was Kiki Iria-Finn, was TVO, was Ray and Marshall as well, know, being able to be a good force defensively. But in this matchup, they didn't play as well as they needed to. Like Kiki Iria-Finn only had 10 points in this matchup. There's no way that you can score 10 points as the second option in a Big 10 championship game, especially when you're up against a rival. So I think that also played a role in it as well. But if you ask me, even though USC laws, I think they're good. I think they're good. That's I'm saying. I think they're good. They're to look at this loss. Yes, it was a bad loss. I'm sure Jude did not want to lose to this team on the biggest stage like that, the Big 10. But that's going to add even more fuel when you head into the tournament. Speaker 1 (07:20.6) the court. Speaker 2 (07:35.118) I believe the USC is gonna bounce back and I think he was gonna take the foreign tournament honestly. Yeah. What you got, Lo? I'm always curious. Like, it was one thing to hear it, to see it in text message form, but it's always better to hear what you got to say. All right, y'all bear with me. I'm getting over yet another cold. I'm not concerned one bit to be honest. USC played possibly one of their worst games of the season. In fact, the worst second half that they probably played all season and they still lost by what, five points. It's an interesting dichotomy because people want Juju to pass the ball. But then when she passed the ball, Kennedy Smith shot one for eight, zero from seven from three. You got Rhea Marshall, she shot one for five from the field. TVO shot three for seven. So it's like, it's not enough. Correct. Y'all don't want her to shoot. She shot 28 times, which I think is a bit excessive. However, y'all don't want her to shoot. But then when she passes the ball, they're bricking it. You know what saying? And, it's so it's twofold. So when I say it's a It's a twofold type of thing. It's like Juju and Lindsey, they have to figure something out. And I don't know if they'll be able to do it before the tournament starts, but they have to figure something out. It's coaching, but it's also Juju. She has to trust her teammates more. Because if they're going all series of time without touching the ball, why do you think they're going to make an open shot? They have no rhythm. They haven't seen the ball in a long time. Speaker 3 (09:19.214) So if more of the game is on the line, they're going to force feed you the ball and the whole world knows where the ball's coming to. So it's easy to guard when the whole world knows where the ball's going to. And like Nick said, know, Corey closed, she did her big one. Finally, it took three games, three games for her to finally do it, but she finally made adjustments. Like she finally sent multiple bodies. At one point they were face guarding. At one point they were blitzing. At one point they were flat out triple teaming her. Like it was literally You didn't even a fuck about that triple thing. And was still throwing that bitch up like Kobe. He was she was so funny. my god That was awesome. Speaker 3 (09:55.534) Right. And so, so I think it's a very, they're in a very interesting situation because you do so good that by herself, she can get them deep in the tournament, but her playing one against against five is not going to win them a national championship. It's not right. And so even just like they did last year. so even, as she progresses in her game and even going into next year where jazz is coming and more help is coming. Eventually she's going to have to trust her teammates in order for this shit to work period. Like, and that's a big part of coaching too. You have to sit her down and say, Hey, this is a team. This is a team game. Like, but if your coach is the main one calling your number and the main one running ISO plays for you, why the hell would you pass the ball? You know what I'm saying? So they got to figure out that, that, situation, because this team is not a championship team until they figure that out. Juju is not going to win a national championship by herself. And yeah, I know. Clearly with my shirt, shout out to my homeboy Mel. Yeah, I know how I feel about her greatness and what she will be able to do by the time she graduates and by the time she gets into the WNBA, but again, she can't win it by herself. And just overall, we got to give kudos to UCLA's defense. mean, second half, they play incredible defense and they shot the ball pretty well. They shot 52 % from the field and 53 % from long distance. It's hard to win a game when the opposite team is 53 % from long distance. And the craziest part about the whole thing is USC actually out rebounded UCLA 38 to 27. 21 of those were actually offensive rebounds, which gave them more second chance points or opportunities. And they didn't even capitalize on that. Thank you. Speaker 1 (11:40.334) They won the turnover battle too. They had a lot of turnovers too, but so did UCLA. You said what? Speaker 3 (11:48.43) Exactly. And so I think that I was sad because they should have won the game. You're up 13. You know, just under a little bit after coming out at a half time, think TVO came out and hit a big three, which put them up 13. You don't lose that game. You don't, I think they score what? Nine points in the third. It was something crazy. Like. Another quarter quarter quarter Yeah, like that can't happen, you know, and I'm still concerned about the guard play for UCLA. I mean, between Kiki and London alone, Kiki had 13 points, but she also had eight turnovers. Eight turnovers, bro. has six, so their backcourt have 14 turnovers. That can't happen. That can't to be a 30 and two. don't care about that. Speaker 3 (12:41.08) Right, because we have been questioning, we literally have continued to question their guard play all year. Hell, even last year we were questioning it. So in order for them to get far in the tournament, the guards are gonna have to step up. And just last thing I gotta shout out, definitely gotta shout out Lauren Betts, did her big one in the second half, was blocking the shit out of Juju Shot. I'm like, all right, sister, calm down a little bit, okay? I'm talking about putting that thing in the stands almost. Yeah. Speaker 1 (13:10.326) worth. five boards, four blocks and four. So like just, just hooping. She's the player to game in my opinion. If Lauren best didn't do her big one in that second half, they would have lost the game. Like she, like Nick said, she finally demanded the ball. They were finally able to pass her the ball in the paint. So that's the reason why they won the game. No, that's definitely, that's, everything y'all said is completely true. Like they just, like in the first half, it was times where I wish Juju would have won the ball. And if they would have missed it, they still would have had something. But it's like, damn, it's like, like you said, y'all, we asked you to do this and then she do it. And they just bricking shit left and right. Like. Even if you are cold, like I don't expect Kennedy, like Kennedy can't go 0 for 7 for 3. That's game. That's literally game. She makes half holes, they win the game. You know what saying? So, but like you said, it is between Juju and Lindsey. We want to, we're going to jump on Lindsey, but we got to give some of it to Juju as well because she's seen three, four people, somebody open. Yeah. Speaker 3 (14:23.712) Yeah. but they can't be scared at the same time. like Nick said, Kiki only had 10 points, four for 12. mean, then real quick, how do y'all feel about you shooting 28 shots? Because for me, when it comes to like, when I go home, if you got an open shot, shoot that shit. Like you're the best player on the court. You know what saying? So it's like, I know it could be bad, like it was on Sunday for him, but. 9 for 28 man listen we listen we grew up in an era who's where the best player go shoot that damn rock that's just I mean, I mean, here's the thing though, like if they would have won the game, nobody would care. Nobody would care, Nobody would care. Nobody would have cared. Like you didn't even think about how many shots she was either even shooting in the first half because she was making buckets all over the place. Free throws. She was not pretending from the line like she was getting to the line. And that's another thing with Juju. She's going to learn from it. But once she found out the refs wasn't giving her no calls, you got to just hoop now. You can't be looking for the foul. Speaker 1 (15:30.094) Cause when you start looking for the, when you go, when you start driving, looking for the file, you're going to miss that shit. Now, I'm out of 10. You're not even really just shooting the ball. just put it your arms up and shit. Or just looking at the ref. So something she's going to learn from, I'm with y'all. not looking too deep into this. it's some adjustments. Finally, UCLA did that. USC did not zero. and I also like to be real, like I honestly don't even really blame Juju for this loss. I mean, I'm not gonna say she played perfect. She clearly didn't play perfect, but I'm gonna this more in the supporting cast because y'all got to step up in this type of matchup. And I've been raving about them, especially, you know, through the first game against Nebraska, the second game, even when they played Michigan, they all play well. Katie Smith played well. Keke area, Fem was looking like one of the best power forwards in the country, honestly, you know, with her ability to face up and play on the block and be able to score in multiple ways. So they were finding their groove as a supporting cast before this game. And then for them to just come and lay an egg, especially in a championship game where you need literally everybody to contribute. Like I said, I mean, mean, Jude did have a bad performance. You she shot the ball terrible, but if she would have gotten a little bit more production out of everybody else, you will see what it was. They wouldn't want to. Speaker 1 (16:43.766) We shoulda known- we shoulda- we shoulda known some- No, no, Those three they would have that lead would have been got that lead would have gone from 13 to 20 Yeah, much harder much harder, know hill to climb I mean, I know Kennedy's beating herself up about it But my thing is sister you zero from seven from three take the ball to the fucking basket Please like please do something else like even if you got a dribble it in few times and hit the midi like stop shooting a three sister Like it was not going in for you. So you got it Do it. I forgot from corner three. Yeah, she was the snitch. Speaker 3 (17:16.462) Lindsey, get Kiki in motion, like get her different type of looks like, yeah, so and to answer your question, Jay, about when this winter go home, I'm the same way as you. Juju could have shot it 50 times and I wouldn't give a shit. Like y'all gotta remember, Kobe is my favorite player, like I don't care as long as Game seven against Boston. He shot terrible. Terrible. And they still won, but nobody knows about it. Yep, and I still preferred him to shoot over somebody that was wide open. I'm just going to keep it a beam. Like, I'm just serious. Hey, people know who my guy is growing up. Mike was shooting that thing in the playoffs. Listen. He was shooting up. Okay. Speaker 2 (18:00.632) Bro, no! And then also as they go forward in the tournament, Lindsay has to find time to get Juju, even if it's two minutes of rest. She cannot play 40 minutes and you gotta expect her to go start the game, keep them in the game, and then go close the game. Like what the hell? she can literally, she cannot play when it comes to next week or whenever it starts. She ain't gonna be able to play 40 minutes every single game. Like was No, she can't do it. You're the only person. Right, and everyone knew where the ball was going. Her legs were like, giving out, her shots were all short. Like you got, even if it's two minutes here or there, like when they were up 10 going into the half, give her a minute of some, a break, like damn. Yeah, you give her a minute or two before a minute before halftime. Then she got halftime as well. So it's like it's more so it's like he did 40. Let's see. Kennedy played 30. Kiki played 33. I mean, damn. And then she only had three. Speaker 3 (19:01.262) that Speaker 3 (19:05.998) I think she had too early. Yeah, she had too early. She had to sit a lot of the. I got you. don't remember that. She did. That's another reason why Juju had to really just go nuts like that. But we should have known some bullshit was afoot when Kiki had her halftime interview. She said, just get a ball to Juju because she cooking. She did say that and she should not have said that, but I was with it at the time. I was with it at the time. She was being real, was, and she was cooking because she didn't know to say. She was cooking for I should have known some bulls**t was about to come about when that s**t happened but... Do y'all think that they do you think that other teams are going to see how they defended Juju and try to do that in a tournament? Speaker 2 (19:55.009) If you're smart, yo. If you smart, if you got the... But also like you got to have the length to like UCLA. Like as far as the wings and the pigs that can't stop juju. That's the thing like you ain't got it because ju is 6'2 so it's like you can't just put an average guard on her. You can't put a five knot guard on her. You could be someone who could just run to Jones. That's 5'4 and they're a foot taller. Yeah. Yeah, I'm not. Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you on that before we do move on. Before we do move on. Do you think UCLA USC will both be number one seed? Speaker 2 (20:30.216) We should still be number one. You I think so too. I think USC and UCLA gonna be that. And how far do y'all think both teams are gonna go in the tournament? We gonna get in trouble for this one. I know we don't know the reasons yet, but we kind of have an idea who's going to be in this shit so far. Speaker 2 (20:55.918) I know that low said that juju can't do it by herself, but I'm gonna just be real depending on what their bracket looks like I I'm not counting against it, bro I think juju is capable of doing it depending on who they match up against like if they if they got like I'm not gonna say they gotta have like an easy out to the championship But depending on who they match up against I can see you getting them all the way to the championship You can ask the National Championship game. Standing on. come Wally. So I have a prediction bracket at the moment. And if we're looking at USC, USC would go, they'll be number one in the Spokane region. in that region, they currently have Hawaii. So that's who USC would be playing. Then California, Mississippi State, Kansas State, George Mason, Ole Miss, Norfolk State. Thank you Speaker 2 (21:50.03) Michigan State, UNLB, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Michigan, and either Iowa State or Princeton, and then North Carolina State and Tennessee Tech. is no color state the second seed in our in our region they had to be damn Correct sir. Speaker 2 (22:13.55) Mississippi State, you got Oklahoma, ooh. Yeah, that's not a easy bracket. Yeah, that's not a that is not an easy bracket, but I still would see that I can still see them come out of that shit, though. You know, you know, cause you're going. Speaker 2 (22:27.667) but UCLA, could see them getting, I'll say a lead date at the. you Amen. They all came last year. What bracket is you? Wiley, can you pull up whatever, like can you show whatever you're reading? Speaker 3 (22:49.39) I just want to see what they're predicting UCLA's bracket is. depending on where they are, they could probably make it to the final four. just depends. Who are going to be the ones in USC, UCLA, South Carolina, and then probably UConn? Probably. Yeah, they might or they still yeah, you know what I've been seeing a lot of like the the bracket colleges as people are going Please don't be Texas. It can't be Texas on God, Speaker 2 (23:19.854) I'll be bad as hell. I've been seeing a lot of analysts or shit like that saying Texas is to be a number one seed. So who they're moving, USC? So right now they got UCLA, South Carolina, Texas and USC. I like that Tennessee, Florida State, and Yassel, Inger, LSU, and Notre Dame. UCLA, the hardest person they're going to play is probably Notre Dame, but they've been acting crazy. So yeah, they got a decent, they got a pretty easy bracket or region. Speaker 2 (23:45.056) Okay. Speaker 1 (24:02.062) I stood this on trust they guards man. That's why it's hard for me to have to make it to the elite. last year when they played LSU? Police 16, yes. Yeah, yeah, that's right. No, think about it. Yes. Speaker 1 (24:20.877) Yo, no name Hey, I'm lowkey liking you and hey if you are seeing this, okay region three I told you. Yeah. Speaker 3 (24:31.982) And Judea is going back to the foot Judea is going to her first Final Four Yes, absolutely bro. If it shapes out this way. Yes. for everybody watching this is just a prediction Speaker 2 (24:52.814) But you know somebody gonna try and clip this shit and be like, oh, y'all gonna have to come see us. We're gonna get another name but their biggest issue is the garden of paint. to that. And yeah, they bigs don't and if you got we'll talk about them. I don't want to I don't want to get too deep in them yet. We'll talk about them. We'll get there. We'll get there. It was back. Speaker 1 (25:27.394) We had a question. Juju is this year's Caitlyn. Explain that a little bit more. Lord. I'm not getting it. I don't even know what that means. I think it means like she is juju in a cast of players like she had at Iowa. I think that's what it is. I think that's, I think that's what she means. Speaker 3 (25:47.084) I mean, well, Iowa was actually knocking down shots, so that's not true. You as well. Not entertaining. Yeah, I'm just confident. don't know that I didn't know it meant. So I was just wondering. He said, hey, Lowson Speaker 3 (26:04.588) Right, Naboo. I'm just curious. We're gonna move over. SEC South Carolina played Texas on Sunday. They beat the shit out of them 64 54. That shit was pretty much over after the first quarter. It was definitely over. It was definitely over and at halftime. CC trusted her teammates for real. She did. That comes with. Yeah, yeah, she had a good. respectfully all that's in the past. right. Speaker 1 (26:35.502) Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's true. But. Speaker 1 (26:43.663) Yes, we are. Man, Lowe, you can go ahead and kick it off, man. Because I know you've had words about... We've all had them, but... Before Logos, Madison Booker, gotta come to the front. That's why I just about to go to lopers. I don't even honestly I don't even I didn't even look up her shooting numbers I got- I got- got- I got- Speaker 1 (27:03.96) Yeah, for 13. Right? Speaker 3 (27:08.75) up at the music. And if you want to be real, the three games that Madison Booker is playing in South Carolina, she's shooting 26%. What's wrong with this man? With this organ? Listen, you said how much 26 26 next? Three games against South Carolina. Speaker 2 (27:29.966) 26 % in three games. So this is my issue, okay? Texas is not a number one team. We're just gonna keep it a buck, okay? Yeah, yeah, they should never have been in their spot where they are, where they was at. I blame that AP for that. Yeah, what's up, Tom? Yeah, they're not a number one team. Madison Booker, what I'll say about her is, and I want to keep it as respectful as possible because I think that, you know, she's a nice human being, I would assume. Speaker 1 (28:01.038) and her mama jumped in our video that we had about. Yeah, I you do. 100 % dead and I was smoking nobody mom because guess what? Listen if people talk about my baby I get it so I'm not mad that you know what saying? I'm from a mom to my parents a parent I'm not mad at it. But sister girl bring that ass here girl. not his Speaker 1 (28:18.946) Absolutely. Speaker 2 (28:24.782) What you mean? Like girl! I'm literally at a loss for words to be honest because the amount of attention, the amount of, I guess, admiration and just everything that all these commentators have for her when she's shooting tour dates, for 12, three for nine. You understand? Come on, sister. We got to do something. This is not good. You understand? On the biggest stages. You know, scoring 25, 28 points against mid-major teams, that's not impressive to me. I want to see that when you playing the big dogs. You know what saying? When you playing South Carolina, like none of that shit against church league teams matter. Not too much though. She did shoot 51 % against LSU. Not too much. Speaker 3 (29:22.166) And who has LSU played? this for you. And LSU was down to starters too, weren't they? And they were still struggling to beat them! They did. Speaker 3 (29:34.425) So let's start there. Let's start with how they barely be LSU. Nasty. Like, Morrow got hurt, Big Four ain't play, like come on, and y'all supposed to be a number one team. You know what? Let's not even talk about Maddie. You know what? Rory, bring that ass here, girl. What are you doing, bro? How long are we gonna be able to see you say that you injured? Man, this routine is crazy. Like what are you doing? Like what, like you're not scoring your defensive subpar cause you can barely move laterally. Like what are we doing? Come back sister. You better not declare. Come back. Do you see the size difference with her and Raven? It's crazy. It is crazy. It is crazy. But I want to say is, shout out to South Carolina. mean, shout out to South Carolina's defense because when they are, they're the best team in the country. When there's, when they are locked in, how they were locked in on Texas, bro, that defense was smothering. Like it was forming. Like it was ridiculous. And it starts from the point of attack with Speaker 1 (30:28.662) Lockdown. Speaker 3 (30:44.994) First of all, Fultwiley, sister, you've been doing a big one on the defensive end. Let's be very clear about that. Well, let's not always say always. That's why Dawn had to sit her ass down a few times. Let's not always say always, but I'm very, very, very impressed with her defensive just abilities. I'm very impressed, of course, with Raven. We always know how great she is defensively, but also Breezy. You know what saying? Shutting Madison down yet again. going to lead defensively. That's the thing. Speaker 2 (30:56.892) That is true. Speaker 1 (31:19.736) That's crazy. You're to talk your shit like Exactly. you do what you do, what you sought out to do. This girl done said you can't fucking guard me. And she shot what again, Nick? 26 % in all three games? Exactly. So who can't guard who, sweetie? Who can't? games combined. Wow. Talk your shit, Breezy. Talk. Speaker 3 (31:41.742) Who think are who? Because guess what? I talked more shit for less. I talked more shit in a scrimmage on a Friday morning. You know what I'm saying? So I don't, man i wake up talking shit i wake up talking you like That quote comes from the February 9th matchup. Man, you still didn't shoot the ball well in that matchup. That's the crazy thing. So it ain't like you dropped 30 on like 55 % shooting. Like you still didn't shoot well in that game, respectfully. Exactly. so that's all I mean, that's really good. Speaker 2 (32:13.602) But I'll piggyback off of that. down as low down as this is. Yeah, facts. This is exactly why you can never doubt South Carolina. I don't care what you never and never people because here's the thing, you like we saw after they lost to Texas and we saw after they lost to uh, Yukon, they dropped them like what number six, seven of the eight people like that's not like you guys are really trying to convince me of South Carolina is not done like stop. Like this is why I say like Don, like this team knows how to play in March. They know how to play in March. Like you've clearly seen it. And one of the biggest things for me, because even if you remember, Jay, I was talking about last week, if this were to have happened, if this matchup did come about, how Texas in a way is honestly out rebounded South Carolina, especially in the last matchup in February. So I thought that in a way they could have had that advantage. South Carolina crashed the board, bro. And they're a box now and they were defending the interior extremely well. Like give credit to Sinai Fagan, give credit to Joyce Edwards as well. They definitely did a really good job as far as, you know, really defending the interior. But It's crazy to even say this though because South Carolina won by like damn near 20 and they did not have a great offensive game at all. I don't even know how. Speaker 1 (33:19.372) They didn't. She had five points. Malaysia have five points. didn't even know that's crazy. I know for a fact that Hina did not shoot the ball well. Cause she was missing a lot of open looks, honestly. So it was pretty much them locked in defensively. Like I don't even tell y'all like, I didn't even realize it was like four and a half minutes left in the second quarter. And Texas that scored their first points in the second quarter. They went midway through the quarter without scoring their first basket in the second quarter. It's like we talked about me, Madison Booker, Yeah, man. Speaker 2 (33:54.414) I've been saying it, know, I feel that she is talented, but she can't be a streaky, she can't be a streak, a streaky score. Like I've always said, people got mad at me about them. I'm like, look at the numbers, honestly. Like mean, look, I'm nothing away from her talent, but she can't have inefficient games. Rory Harmon, let's just call it what it is. She's not a hundred percent healthy. can tell like the Rory, the Rory Harmon before the injury and after the injury are two totally different players, even on the offensive. Like she has, she has like barely any lift in her shot. Like she air balled like a few drivers even on Sunday. I mean, you can tell she's not 100%. Hopefully she can get back the next year. If you ask me, she definitely needs to stay next year. like Lo said, mean, South Carolina's defense was a sensation. I think honestly probably one of my favorite moments. I won't even say moments honestly, like one of my favorite defensive players of the game wasn't even just Bree. I think it was Raven too. think Raven did a really good job of obviously guarding Roy, but then also being able to defend in the paint as well, especially with her size. And I think that also played a huge role as well. That's how South Carolina won the game honestly was pretty much on defense in this is that time of the year was like it's gonna take more to town to win like you know I'm saying do or die especially once we go into March madness. Yeah. You're going to lead eights and shit like that. Everybody got good. Exactly like so I think that's the thing though is like South Carolina has not only talented players but players who can get after all the defense events so Look, man. I mean they definitely got a chance of repeating I mean, I know that they're not the clear-cut favorite like they were last week. Let's be real like something I was a favorite last year Nobody was beating them last year. this year is a little bit more wide open But I'm never counting out this team, especially with them being coached by Don Staley So as long as Don is on that sideline, they will always have a chance Speaker 1 (35:34.552) They had eight steals and five blocks. I feel like all that shit happened in the second quarter. They was locking their ass down in that second quarter. Like it was not, it was not nothing they can do. you good over there? Not really, but I'ma still try to talk. There we go, we go. Shout out to Tessa, okay? Tessa is, what Dick Vitale calls a PTP, a prime time player. When the lights are the brightest, this young juggernaut fucking shows up. And she's been struggling a lot this season, especially towards the end of the year. So I'm excited to see this tournament run for her, because I think she's going to be big for South Carolina. Speaker 1 (36:03.406) Man. Speaker 2 (36:18.958) They forget what she did last year against Iowa in the championship game. I thought she was like probably one of the biggest pieces if not the biggest pieces behind that win. Definitely what I me go back and watch that game again. I did see somebody in here in the chat say Texas should never have been number one. I always say AP did that. They fucked up when had, when USC beat UCLA and they dropped UCLA number three and they automatically just put Texas at number two. And then I believe Notre Dame was number one. So as soon as Notre Dame lost, put Texas at number one automatically. So now it's like, here we are. So they should never, I feel like they should never have been there in no way, but. Here we are with that and that like let the last tournament. I'm gonna ask y'all this We're just Texas in the room. I already know how y'all how y'all about how come on how far they can go How far Texas can go in this tournament? Sweet 16. Speaker 3 (37:14.535) respectful and say to Elite 8. No, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna go with, how you gonna do it like that, Sweet 16. I'm gonna go with Sweet 16. Hey guys, this whole live stream about USC. No, no, no. I that's good enough. Speaker 3 (37:35.244) We're even talking about, we're talking about South Carolina. Yeah, but yeah, I'm gonna go and of course I feel like. And if we were to talk about USC, we could talk about Judy the whole episode. Okay. Speaker 1 (37:49.929) shit, Cook me South Carolina man of course final four probably you brought if you want to go to a championship game you can go that deep as well so but I know that's y'all I think they'll be in the national championship game. I do too. Speaker 1 (38:06.914) I definitely did. I for sure, part of four, but I think championship game is what it They're the team that has the most experience. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And the best coach, and the best coach as well. So that helps. Who the fuck says she ain't the best coach? they're probably saying like, Gina Wilson is still the best coach in college basketball. Who said that? No, I'm asking is people as who who not saying done the best coach in college? Speaker 2 (38:35.31) I don't know who's saying that, Don is right. I'm about to say I'm about to say now. Now listen, y'all have lost your mind. but yeah, we're going to do what you do as Katelyn. The art, we're to move on to the ACC championship. the lady at his show, low was at the tournament on Friday to Sunday. before we even get to the championship game, low, how was the stadium? How was the atmosphere there before we get into the championship game? the stadium was solid actually, especially for the 11 AM game. It was a lot more packed than I anticipated because the first game started at 11. it was pretty packed in there and it was, you know, a lot of, because it's in North Carolina, of course it was a lot of NC state fans, a lot of Duke fans, a lot of UNC fans. So clearly if you had a team that was in North Carolina, you know, Yeah, obviously. Speaker 3 (39:40.778) It was almost like a home game for them. So that was cool to just see so many people come out and support women's basketball on a Friday at 11 o'clock in the morning. Yeah. And just as the game can as the games continue to progress and the time continues to progress, you just see the stadium get more more packed. I'm sure was possibly sold out. I don't know the numbers. But yeah, it was a great atmosphere. Shout out to the ACC. They treated us well. They had snacks and Better yet. All that kind of stuff for us. So it was a great experience. Got to talk to a lot of the players, got to just walk around and do my own thing kind of. So we had a good time. I got to meet, you know, Meg in person for the first time and Lamar in person for the first time. Shout out to Red as well. Got to meet her in person for the first time as well. So it was nice to finally connect like faces to people that you talk to and you interact with, you know, daily. So that was cool as well. I drove by myself. That was, think, probably the longest that I've ever driven by myself. It was only five hours, but anyone that knows me knows I don't like road trips. So my friends were like, what? You're driving everybody? Just like everyone was so confused that I was even going. Kid, he wasn't there. What? How about a laugh? Speaker 3 (41:09.282) Because Ken lives in North Carolina and he talking about drive out. I mean, he's talking, I think he live in Charlotte talking about drive out here. That was an additional, uh-uh, that was an additional time added to my commute. You paying for gas? I heard it get dropped, man. Shoot, so yeah, mean, good hoops, honestly. All the games that I saw at least were close. So yeah, I was happy with it. I'm glad you got to experience that. I'm salty I wasn't able to make the Big Ten tournament because I had other shit I had to do to take care of. I forgot, yeah. Speaker 1 (41:49.74) Yeah, man, think I wasn't able to make I was was supposed to go on Sunday, but you know, adulting things. So I didn't I didn't go but I was still locked in. I was still locked in with a tournament. So but I'm glad Lowe actually was able to go and experience that shit. So I've been able to experience tournaments like as a fan, but it's different. You know, it's different when you media. So I'm glad you got to experience that shit. So, didn't even have to bring up that 11am game, because he left that alone. damn, say yeah, that's all good. Let's get into this championship game. Duke beat Notre Dame 61 to 56. No, that was the what? Semifinals. shit, it's my fault, not Notre Dame. Duke beat, shit who they beat? North Carolina State, what was the? Speaker 2 (42:41.354) Um, 72, 58, think or something. I'm sorry, not Notre Dame. But Duke, real quick. I was on the fence with Duke, especially when I saw them last month and how Kara was talking in the press conference. Like, man, I felt like they just had no answers. I don't know. They always been a strong team, but she just seemed so defeated in the press. But I'm so glad that she found, because she can coach. But man, they really dominated them. Like, was just, they did they. We knew a lot of people, I saw people saying that they felt like Duke need to blow them out if it was a close game, they're not gonna win that game. And they did exactly that. But Nick, how you feel about felt about that championship game? Before I do that, I just want to say shout out to my good friend Brandon, man. Speaker 2 (43:38.421) Yeah, Duke was gonna win the ACC and I was like, get the fuck out of here. Ain't no way they win an ACC. Not with like all these other teams, but Duke came out on top honestly. I was up Saturday night and I was rewatching the game against Notre Dame and I was thinking to myself, Duke got a chance to beat NC State honestly with the way that they're defending honestly. Yeah, it did. Speaker 1 (44:00.512) They were hoping, Yeah, and I mean, look, I mean, your presidency, Staley, definitely had a strong first half. I thought Isaiah James was really good as far as, know, scoring the ball in the first half. I know that she ended up having like a little entry towards the end of the first half, but luckily was still able to stay in the game. But Duke is just another one of those teams that I'll talk about where it's like, it takes more than talent to be able to win big tournament games. And you clearly saw like, dude, we look at Duke, they're by far not the most talented team in the country, respectively, at least on the offensive end, but. They've always hung their hat on defense. I've always considered them of the defensive teams in the country. They outscored NC State 47 to 26 in the second half. And that third quarter alone was just dominant, honestly. I got to give credit to Kara Lawson, because Kara was coaching. The adjustment that she made, definitely getting more players involved, honestly. Being able to slow down the NC State guards, that played a huge role in why they were able to climb back into the game, honestly. So give credit to them, honestly. You probably gave him a crazy ass speech, y'all know how she get down. Right. Um, a Luchi Okunawa at 22 and 10 in this game, average around 16 is six in this whole tournament. Like just her energy off the bench, honestly. I mean, it's just, was the offensive rebounds. It was just being able to create second chance possessions. It was just being able to be scrappy on defense and be versatile on the end of the floor. Like she played a huge role. And I think that she was by far the focal point for Duke, especially coming off the bench and providing that energy. Speaker 2 (45:22.702) So she definitely deserved ACC tournament MVP because she had a strong performance in this game against NC State, even in the other games, even the game against Louisville, even in the game against Notre Dame as well, honestly. I even said it to him, I think Duke, I thought Duke had like went into the tournament with some momentum, know, they had just beat North Carolina and then they had beat Florida State as well right before the tournament. So I think they kind of found themselves in a way. Even though even though it's only two games before the tournament, but it's like somehow somewhere I feel like they really found themselves and out and they were able to even carry that momentum even into the tournament. So if I'm Duke, I'm feeling good. Honestly, you know, heading into the NCAA tournament because last year I think they got to the sweet 16. And I'm not knocking them possibly upset more teams on Z, you who knows honestly, it depends on who they match up against, but overall great performance by Duke in this ACC tournament. Like I said, I definitely didn't have them winning or even get into the finals in the ACC. And to be able to shock the world and be able to win like that, that was impressive. Mm-hmm. Here we go. I didn't have them winning it at all, actually. I think we've all been saying all year that Duke has stellar defense. if on any given night, if their shot is actually falling, they can beat any team, honestly. You know what saying? Because the defense is always going to be there. They have a good coach and they have players that can come in off the bench and produce as well. Speaker 3 (46:47.244) I think that's just the biggest question for them and it will determine how far they get into the tournament. You know, can they make shots and they were able to make enough shots to win against NC State. So shout out to Duke, shout out to Kara. Was able to get her first championship in the first five years of her coaching. So that's, that's dope. And I also just wanted to shout out NC State. Like, of course they didn't win, but I really, really, really liked the guards over there. Azia James, man, she is special. Like, like just seeing her even in person, it looks different than it does on TV. Like she's special, bro. Sinai Rivers, Zoe Brooks, even Zam off the bench. Like they have a lot of good guards, but then they also have a couple of good bigs as well. Like I think in the game before, I think against Georgia Tech. The bigs were just fouling out, but they were just bringing in more big body after big body. And I'm like, damn, how many, you know what saying? Like six, four, six, five girls they got over there. So yeah, like I like them. I think that they need to be coached a little bit better, respectfully. But yeah, I like them. because we're still talking about the ACC, I of course have to mention those frauds over there in South Bend. Nice. Speaker 1 (48:10.798) Hold on real quick. Country, I think that's how you say your name. You so behind, Refresh your browser, refresh your stream, because you so behind. You're still talking about Texas. Right. But as far as Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Notre Dame. Thank you. Speaker 1 (48:36.408) Sit Maddie ass down. Okay, I'm glad somebody said it okay because As soon as that started line up As soon as that started line up change shit got a little spooky out in South Bend They were clicking on all cylinders and then all of a sudden, you know Maddie comes back Into the starting lineup and the cohesion is just not there anymore. You have a big body and Koval so or Koval whoever you said it say boop Speaker 1 (49:05.571) Bye. Yeah, you have a big body in her that can scream, that can protect the paint, that is great in the pick and roll. Like, I'm not understanding why it's changed. Like, I get it. Maddie was a big part of what they did last year. I promise you, I get it. But why can't she be six person off the bench? why? She, against Duke, two starters had zero points. King, lia tu and her. Leah too. And then Maddie both had zero points. And then when I looked a little bit further into Leah too, uh, stats, she was over to no way. She should only be shooting two shots a game. Disgusting in this game. And then the last time they played Duke, she was over four. it's something about that Duke defense that is really, you know what I'm saying? That is really getting her off culture, um, or out of her spots and not really comfortable in shooting. Yes, that's right. Speaker 3 (50:02.732) And then she wasn't even rebounding. You know what I'm saying? Like she was like, she at least will rebound the ball sometimes. Wasn't even rebounding. So they just got them all out of sorts. Again, Hannah and Olivia, like Hannah had a good first half, second half she was nowhere to be found. Olivia was like, I think she shot terribly. I think three for 10, if I'm not mistaken, or is that the game before that? But. They just look bad. I'm not even trying to be rude or funny. Like they just, they don't look good. I actually wanted to stay for the presser and ask Neo why the lineup was changed. But when I was in there, the lady that was controlling the presser said that Notre Dame's open locker room hadn't even started. And I remember Jay saying how long he waited for them. So I was not finna wait. Like I'm not about to wait that long. Y'all not finna wait. Yeah, they don't they don't do to wear after these. Y'all don't know when they lost the Florida. When they lost the Florida State at home, they had they had us waiting in the media room for like almost an hour and a half. I would have loved to fuck all that. And I really want to say I'm here now and they never gave us no they never gave us no update and then when they came in she was like, yeah, basically like one of the vet people that veterans who always covering them was like man, what basically was y'all doing? They based out of team meeting and shit. So I'm sure I'm sure some stupid shit happen this time. But talking about Maddie real quick, we don't keep the long way. I keep going with Maddie. This is our last game against Duke. Speaker 1 (51:39.128) zero points against Cal. She has six against Louisville nine for the state five NC State six against Miami six Duke 11 Pittsburgh three. mean how do you get three gets Pittsburgh? They beat the shit out of them. I mean, but it's like, what's her primary role though? Are y'all looking at her as like the third option? I thought that was Sonia. No, so basically what's on he's a four block and she shoots. But the thing is now is if you, he, she gets dominated inside, but she's not making her threes is not really spreading the floor no more at this point. You know I'm saying? So it's like, and also on, on live, I am, she can't be goggles right now. Like you cannot be that Olivia. Olivia is like, I'm glad that she got this three ball, but she has to go back to like, you gotta be back to being Right? Speaker 1 (52:30.616) pass first because she got too many moments where she's doing he going she got too many moments where she's doing heat checks like it's just you know I'm saying like it's starting to be too much so it's like they got to figure out I mean you got a how long you got when they start the 19th of the 20th you got about a week or so to get this shit under control but I don't know man they looking they looking shaky coming into this It's not like I'm trying to say that we want Maddie to go out there and score 20 points, but I think when y'all got to realize that they've played two thirds of the season before Maddie even came back. So just because back you insert her, that's changing the cohesion within the whole team. That's my issue. Because if you look at when they started to play more discombobulated, it is around the time when she came into the starting lineup. And then because of because she's starting, Colval is getting a lot less minutes. You know what I'm saying? And so that's problematic because she was effective for them because she's such a big body screening. She creates so much space so that Liv and Hannah can, or even Sonia can have a little bit more, you know, space for them to take an open shot. So it's different things that you got to kind of look at from that vantage point. Of course, I don't expect her to go out there and score 20 a night. That's not her role for this team, but scoring zero is also not a role for this team if you're, you're starting. Because guess what? Koval is going to give you more than zero points. She did. She got from seven. Seven and 15 minutes. So, I mean, I don't want to, I think they can still probably, they can still probably get to the sweet 16, but man, playing like this is not going get you to the final four where a lot of us, including myself, had them going. Speaker 3 (54:12.824) Man, I had them in the national championship! Yeah, they were looking man. I was going on a dilemma for them, but they just haven't looked good in a while But I mean, it's like what you said, Jay. think Olivia needs to be the lead guard, honestly. mean, obviously she won't be the top scorer. I Hannah has shown that she could be a better scorer. But I think Hannah being the lead guard and being able to set up the half court offense is just not working, honestly, because Hannah's decision making is not always there, honestly. I think that she still has to grow some maturity when it comes to that aspect, There you go. Speaker 2 (54:49.452) Olivia, we already know that she's gifted all around pastor. So I think that's the adjustment that they need to make, honestly. I don't know if Neal's gonna do it, but this Notre Dame team right now is not looking like a championship team, especially with all the high expectations that we had on them. They were like the number one team for like two, three weeks, honestly. We've been raving about this back court for a long time now, and for them to not be as effective over these past couple of weeks as they were during the season is just nasty to see, honestly, so. I mean they do got a couple weeks before the tournament so hopefully they can make some adjustments but I don't know it's the wrong time to be struggling. It is and that's what I've been saying. They're playing the worst basketball at the possible at literally the worst possible time. And I think we keep talking about their offense, but their defense, they can't stop anybody. mean, Liv is out there getting cooked. They play zone. They gotta play zone. Like that ain't gonna work. What the **** is going on? Like you got **** I rebounded either. Duke had a lot of offensive boards against them. Speaker 3 (55:56.462) You play it's not there to be honest Mm-hmm. No, yeah, I'm with you. So, before we move on. In the bracket prediction right now, they're with LSU and UCLA and I don't see them surviving that. I think they can still pray. I don't know what the health situation is with LSU. So that's going to be, you know what saying? Like they're saying flaws gonna return but I don't I don't know how effective she gonna be cuz I mean she had a Speaker 3 (56:21.87) I'm not gonna lie, if Notre Dame is playing the way that they've been playing, I can see LSU winning that game. without Big Four and more. What they said for one play okay. I a Nisa would be fine. Speaker 1 (56:36.779) Okay, okay. I think it was more for like a precautionary thing. it's definitely insane in person. Like, seeing Hannah intensity in person is crazy. Playing zone takes away Hannah because she's not playing on. Yeah, He had four steals in the first half against Duke. Speaker 1 (56:57.676) Yeah, like you got her playing zone. She just, you know, she got to play an area. She's not after somebody like, you know, and nobody wants to deal with that shit. Nobody want to deal with somebody for four quarters all in a face jumping at them and shit. Like nobody wants that. And she's already under everybody because she five, six, and she get low. So that's another thing that kills them. If they got to play zone because Olivia can't guard nobody because she like a traffic cone out there. So, but before we move on, Where y'all get, how far y'all got Duke going in this tournament? Sweet 16. think they're good enough to get there. It depends on who they match up against. I would say Sweet 16, think there's Ceylon is only eight. Speaker 1 (57:44.982) about NC State. I'll say Elite 8. D-Day! Speaker 1 (57:54.446) How about your next we are talking about? Be honest, we gotta do this again on Selection this just some fun **** here. but we definitely traffic corners but she was she is she is yo people know everybody know I love I love I love her game but she's not that on defense. If Speaker 3 (58:14.978) Man sister being cooked. Honestly, since they've been dogging so many scenes, I haven't been noticing that she be out there getting. Yeah My gosh. He definitely does not have that. Speaker 1 (58:29.742) Alright, let's move on. mean, she's just not quick enough to slow down a lot of guards. I'm go back Like I don't want contacts for a 2020. I mean, but yeah, sister been out there getting cooked. and when I saw it in 4k, I was just shaking my head. I'm like, bruh, if this is the kind of defense she playing, what the hell gonna happen, sister? You better stay in school. Cause you need to be able to move laterally. Like you are going to get cooked in the W. Let me think, um, majority of the games I covered and it was a blowout, but I definitely noticed her getting, you know, people blowing by her, but you know, it don't seem that bad when are you up 15th? Speaker 3 (59:12.984) the whole game You know I painted Yeah, like, you up for When we notice bro until like the last two weeks, I'm like, she's available at end of the game. Yeah, NC State Florida State. You noticed it and then and then this ACC tournament because it was all closed games. So when you up 20 when you up 20 the whole time we see it, but it's like maybe she not. No, she really was just getting she was getting cooked. So it's just it's going to be that's going to be bad for them and she might have to come back. Just come back. Who knows how that goes? So we're going to move this shit along. We got well turn we had we had the. Speaker 1 (59:51.928) We had the Big 12 tournament. had TCUB Baylor 64-59. ain't gonna, I don't even know if y'all watched this game. Did y'all watch this game? I went back, watched the first half. I'm probably gonna finish this second half too. I'm not even gonna hang too much on talk about this too much, but they it was it was a good game close game I do want to shout out one of my buddies my buddy Geo may a photographer and he worked all From Wednesday to Sunday doing all their photography work. So if you saw any big 12 Content he was part of that team doing he did a lot of that shit. He's doing the man shit now So I want to shout him out for doing that cuz that shit is not easy. You're not photography shit doing them games. You got a Send shit right away is not easy. So shout out to them for doing that. also shout out to Haley. I want to say real quick for y'all, give y'all two cents on it. Is that a lot of people saying we need to apologize. I'm not going to apologize. But she did. She left Louisville and went to LSU. Everybody said that was not the right move. But she did come back and start hooping. So I'm not going to, you know, I don't need to apologize for her mistakes. You know what I'm saying? But she's been hooping. It's a good redemption story over there. TCU 31 and three and winning the big 12 tournament, man, they should be a lock for number two seed for sure. So I don't know if y'all have anything on this game or anything like that. Yeah. Speaker 3 (01:01:15.918) I'm playing Big 12, what's next? Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, Damn, like, relax. Now that's a fact. That is a fact. Go ahead, Nick. It Big East. It ain't the Big East. Speaker 2 (01:01:29.082) I mean, I don't really have much to say about the B's. mean, shout out to Creighton, or excuse me, shout out to UConn for beating Creighton. I was gonna be like, damn, Nick, they ain't I was thinking off the top of my head. But now, but back to the big tour. I the big tour tournament was actually pretty good, honestly. I was at TCU when I loved the production of West Virginia gave as well. It just sucks because the first day was on ESPNU and then the second day was on ESPN plus. So nobody, a lot of people didn't watch unfortunately. If you got chance to go watch, would highly advise it. was. It was. Speaker 1 (01:02:00.62) Low had an excuse man, was in, she was in, she was in Greensboro. She had an excuse. I wonder why they had him with those channels, Nick. Thanks. Yeah, they got bounced from more right away on Saturday. They wasn't giving him no, no regular airtime ESPN pluses for you. But if you got Disney plus, you got ESPN plus, but you ain't checking for no. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you can see that. But yeah, shout out to TCU. Real quick before we move on, because we're not going to stay long here. How far y'all think they can move going to tournament TCU? didn't know that. I got dizzy. Speaker 3 (01:02:36.824) So there it was, you see. I think it'll be a 2C, yeah I think so. But you bounced early. you say? Sweet 16. the Speaker 3 (01:03:02.926) Did you see those pictures with her playing at Oregon with Satu and Sabrina? Yes. That is so disgusting. Why you still here? Why are you still playing with little girl? I'm talking about Oh Girl. Okay, I think that's a play. No, you have to go over it. Speaker 3 (01:03:19.086) Anyway, go ahead Why are you still there? Why are you still- All Sabrina been in the league for what, five years now? She don't want a championship, and you still in school? I don't know how old she is, but I'm pretty sure she probably like 20 right In the days beyond us. Speaker 2 (01:03:37.845) Yo If she's 26, it's insane. Probably. She probably is, Hey, look at her age, We're gonna lie about our age, you know, I'd be doing that too. Yeah, but also I mean, of Oregon, I just want to shout out North Carolina for you know getting far in their in their tournament in the ACC because you know it was the first year without a particular point guard on their team and they made it further in the tournament if you ask me so you know shout out to them. I don't know how long she's able to still play this long. So that's the crazy part. Speaker 3 (01:04:14.87) Yeah, how old is sister? got at least be 25 24 24? You gotta be 25. She gotta be turning 25 this year at some point. She has to be. May 12th. Bro, she about to turn 20. Bro, my gosh. Before she goes to WBH, she's gonna be 25. In covid years man, it's crazy. Speaker 1 (01:04:39.65) Yeah, that's that Kobe year did a lot of shit for people but to the big, big East tournament, UConn won 82-54 who's shocked about that. UConn fans are mad because people are saying they should leave the Big East. I mean, it's gonna be, it's kind of hard to do so because you have the football teams and shit like that, but you gotta figure out something because this is just. I mean, but why do they have to figure out something? I mean, they played not great teams for a majority of the year, and they're probably going to still get a number one seed. So the strength of schedule truly matter. I guess all you San H's, they don't have to leave. I mean, why do they have to leave? They're in the game. They're winning out the conference and they're in game with the number one seed. After watching many people, their conference games are terrible. They beat these teams by 20 and 30 points. This is no slight to Yukon and the talent that they have on the team, but look at the team that you're playing. But again, the committee are rewarding. having great strengths and schedules. So it's like, why would I be like Dawn and go like, and so this is why I don't get why people hate on Dawn. Like she said it clearly multiple times. I schedule like this number one, because no one wants to, no one wants to play them. They're all ducking the smoke. That's number one. But number two, I do this to push the game forward. So she knows that her team, she's putting her teams in positions to possibly lose for the betterment of the overall women's basketball because Speaker 3 (01:06:21.546) No one's going to watch if we see Yukon and Creighton. People want to see Texas and South Carolina. People want to see USC and South Carolina. want, you know what saying? Like people want to see these big marquee games, but Dawn's the only one that's ballsy enough to schedule them. Like she's willing to push the envelope at the sake of her team, possibly having a lower seed. And how can you hate on that, bro? Like she's literally pushing the game forward. I'm not going to say by herself. But at the college level, from a coach's standpoint, who else doing it like Dawn? I will say, Coach Yo at Ole Miss, she does schedule some tough games for their team as well. I will say that as well. Mm-hmm. Speaker 1 (01:07:02.611) Mm-hmm. will I will get rid and out you know what and I do understand like shit Why I need to leave shit we we whooping these teams that like you say hello and still getting rewarded for it the. Saw something on game day on Sunday saying that you con was the favorite to win the title this year. yeah Yeah, I definitely saw that. definitely saw that. is. It's it's it's for it's for uh it's us fans like I didn't turn on the big E-Terminal one time. Like it was never. tough games. Conference is not tough at all. Their conference games are trash. Speaker 2 (01:07:37.673) on every occasion. Speaker 1 (01:07:45.452) They are, are. I'm not saying that they didn't play any tough teams. think who did they play? They lost to USC. They lost to Notre Dame, right? Yes, they lost Notre Dame. Played those better teams what happened? They played Notre Dame, they lost Notre Dame and USC. Speaker 2 (01:08:02.062) and they lost in Tennessee too. Wiley, that's Wiley on the 1s and 2s. That's the producer. That's the, yeah, that's our man there. That's our man. I mean, they did be South Carolina. that's their more that's their that's their that's their you know, they can definitely hang their head on that, especially the way that they beat them. But outside of that, like who who have they really beat? Uhhhh Like anything that B-South can run. Speaker 3 (01:08:30.231) They blew us off Carolina. Okay, but who else did they beat outside of that? Please, I'm waiting. Yeah. As I'm saying, they lost the... Did they lose or beat Tennessee? Tennessee beat them didn't they? I'm say beat yeah. Speaker 3 (01:08:42.712) That's what saying. they had outside of South Carolina, who did they beat? Man, that's a great question. Not everything. yes, they tore South Carolina like they. Maybe they beat North Carolina in beginning of season or client almost came back. I remember that game. I do remember that game. Who did they beat again? Who did they beat? Speaker 1 (01:09:05.725) Hey real quick for for PFA if you took if you did a blind if you did a blind resume test and you you put Yukon in South Carolina's resume next to each other who you pick that's that's that's all I gotta say who you pick There's Wally for you I mean we are That's based on resume Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 2 (01:09:34.306) mean, you just gotta look at what's been like over the past like five years or so. Clearly been known. I'm talking about this season. This season. I mean, South Carolina has had the hardest strength of schedule all season. I mean, just look at the five game stretch that they went on when they were playing all those ranked teams back to back to back and still went through them. And this is no slight to UConn. I think UConn can get to the Final Four. This is no slight to them at all. But I mean, who are they playing? Y'all keep saying UConn is playing people who? Y'all haven't told me a team that they beat outside of South Carolina. man y'all Lamar Come on. be. Okay. They be Ole Miss a team that can't Speaker 2 (01:10:21.846) South Carolina was beating top 10 teams like TCU was a top 10 team when they played them Duke was a top 10 team when they played them like they're beating top 10 teams in the country compared to No disrespect to anybody else but like North Carolina was like 13 14 respectfully Iowa State was probably like around that range to respectfully I mean look I'm not trying to take nothing away from them but when you look at their schedule you cost for the South Carolina's and who they were playing and who they were beating and not just beating though but winning by like double digits I'm singing. Speaker 2 (01:10:51.854) Like, come on. Yeah. enough room Yes, you know, great, great coach team. like I really, really like Sarah Strong. You know, pages page, I like page as well. You know what you want to get out of those two. So, you know, when you have a player that one, you know, national player of the year as a freshman, I'm not going against her. So. I think that they can make it to the final four. I think that Paige is going to turn up another notch because we saw what she did last year. She kind of coasted through the regular season and then last year she turned the fuck up when it was go time. So I'm wondering if that's going to be that same, you know, the same thing she does this year. And of course it's going to be a chip on her shoulder. Like she wants to get a championship. All the greats that played at Yukon have a championship. Paige does not. Speaker 1 (01:11:45.218) She does not. Yo, that just reminded me of that one tweet. was that dude said? I think somebody had asked if Norted Day was still a number one seed. And then somebody replied, this page has Speaker 1 (01:12:09.87) straight. Um this is this is you cons. Uh this is the games uh in the Big East Tournament. So Saturday they play Saint John's. They won 71 to 40. Uh Sunday they play Louisville 82 to 54 and then uh of course Monday they be creating 70 to 50. I mean not Louisville Villanova I mean sorry Villanova 82 to 54 they be Villanova and then creating 70 to 50. Those are their three games in their tournament. And this no slight to create because aren't they ranked? think aren't they ranked? Pretty good team. 23. The Big East actually has good teams, but they're just not to the caliber of SEC or ACC or Big 10, respectfully. Right, so we're going like good and then we're talking about when we get to the SEC and Big Ten, we're talking about elite. You know what saying? Like elite talent. So that's all I got. mean, yeah, was the only point of this whole conversation. They need to leave, but they're not because of football and all that. So yeah. Speaker 1 (01:12:55.201) Who have either? Speaker 1 (01:13:11.66) Yeah, that's the whole point. Yeah, that's the only- Speaker 1 (01:13:17.304) Yeah, so we're gonna move on, but I am excited. I'm so excited about this to see how this brackets gonna lay out. Like I said, we will be doing selection Sunday on playback and we will have a tournament bracket going on for a prize. So you look out for that. All I gotta say, don't sleep on them Seminoles now, good. Here we go. And you can't independent. Yo, if you can't independent, they football team independent. All the football team is independent. They can leave. That's how Notre Dame is. That's how Notre Dame is. be in the ACC. They're not. They're not going to leave. They're not going to. They probably get hella money. They don't probably need to go. They probably need to go to the ACC or Big Ten and get no more money, nothing like that. What the? Yeah. Speaker 1 (01:14:10.988) I mean, yeah, they don't even gotta do that shit. guess like Syracuse had to do shit, they had to, guess, but who knows? Off college, we're gonna finish this shit up with some unrivaled season at end of this week. We got the playoffs starting. We got Luna Isles, Rose, Laces, and Vino in the playoffs. I do believe the first game is Luna Isles versus Vino and then. Yes, the other game is Rose versus Laces. Playoffs start on, the playoff games are on Sunday and then the championship game is on Monday. Low, low, low, low over there dying on us again. No, I'm trying to, my thing was about to die. Go ahead, Nate. you know. Speaker 2 (01:15:01.356) just be real ain't nobody beating the Lunar Owls. They're just the best team to be honest with you. Now look I will be honest, Rose against Lunar Owls in the championship game I think every women's basketball fan should want that. The two matches that they had were literally insane. I didn't even watch the second matchup but I saw a lot of the clips on social media and I saw Angel and Fee just like pushing each other back and forth. like shit okay what's going on here? So I'm probably gonna have go back and check that game sometime this week but. You Speaker 1 (01:15:30.486) I will tell you this though, it was some instances where Angel had her confused on a perimeter. Like she was playing some good ass defense. V pushed her in, she would try to, after she stole the ball, like it was crazy. Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead. But also, I want to discuss this real quick, man, because I was watching the game last night. I was getting flashbacks. I saw 2022 Chelsea great again. Yeah saying every time count the ball, let it fly on it. Literally insane. Honestly, it like this is a good sign for Chelsea and I'll just say this too. I'm glad I was not one of the people that said that she was washed that said that she was done because I know better. I knew that Chelsea was hurt and I knew that she wasn't fully herself and I knew that once she got back to herself, she was going to remind the world of who she is and she's doing that on this stage in a rival. And that's why I'm praying that she stays healthy for the W season. Because I ain't lie, if she's playing like that, I'm just gonna call it what it is. Go ahead and send that trophy to Las Vegas. I'm just gonna be real. If she playing. Speaker 2 (01:16:37.922) Remember a couple years ago. Yeah, yes we do, yes. And on top of that, you still got the best player in the world. Absolutely. You added a sniper and jewel. got Jackie. Hopefully Jackie stays healthy. act like you can't sit down but Speaker 2 (01:16:59.438) Whatever. Speaker 2 (01:17:04.568) Chelsea, Chelsea playing like this is exciting. I will say that. It is, no it is, it definitely is. I agree. And one thing I will add on to that is I got the receipts. I'm keeping them tucked because it's only off season hoops. But best believe if Chelsea Gray goes into the 2025 season, the way that she's playing it on rival 2022 Chelsea. I'm unleashing the clip. I'm unleashing it. Cause y'all talk, y'all really talked crazy dog. Crazy. Insane crazy. disrespectful when anybody that watches basketball and anyone that has watched Chelsea great at all throughout her basketball career like Everyone could tell last year. She still was not 100 % Moving the same even hell the beginning on arrival Shane look 100 % You know I'm saying like she wasn't moving the same Speaker 1 (01:17:54.392) Yeah. Speaker 1 (01:18:03.278) That's a good point, Lo. She did look the same at the beginning. She didn't. I think this kind of helped her get her legs back under her. It's definitely, I'm sure, confidence boost for her to let her know, like, yeah, I'm still that girl. You know what saying? Like, not that she ever doubted it, but it's going to be a fun season. I agree. If Chelsea plays like she did in 2022 in that playoff run, I'm have to agree with Nick. If Chelsea play, I'm going repeat it again, because that was the best basketball. I've probably ever seen in my life. it's top five performances. I'm not even top five, top three performances I've ever watched. And I've watched a ton of basketball as y'all know. But if she's able to play like that, I don't care who anybody else got on your roster. I don't care about what the fuck Indiana did. I don't care about New York repeating. If Chelsea's playing the way that she played in 2022. I'm with you. We gonna be. And you got and You're gonna be in Vegas when a confetti falls. Parade, parade in Vegas. Speaker 2 (01:19:06.76) We all pulling up man I would definitely a show definitely we a we said fucking right we just talked about just 33 points, but the type of shots that she like it was vintage Chelsea great time Pulling it back off the one leg fadeaway easy hand in my face was no Speaker 1 (01:19:32.366) been going on for weeks now. Six, seven game winners. Speaker 3 (01:19:40.878) Most assists five assists per game. Yeah, like we get it and we get it. I know people will be like, well, this three on three. Yes, we know. We know what it is, but certain aspects will translate. It's not everything, but playing like she is, that's going to translate. You know what saying? Like how she's doing. Is she going to be just fine? I'm glad to see her looking like this. And this is no slight to Angel because Angel has been doing great. Shout out to Angel working with Lisa Leslie. I absolutely loved it. Like it literally made like, I was just so happy and joyous watching Lisa like, you know what I'm saying? Like really teaching her and shout out to Angel for. horse. Speaker 1 (01:20:22.314) They're not just talking about it either, they doing it. Like shout out to Angel for not just saying I want to get better, actually putting the work in. You know what I'm saying? Actually, cause I'm sure, you know, they practice, but then this is additional practice outside of her normal. Absolutely. everybody that says that she be spending way too much time podcasting and not putting in work in the gym. We got the evidence now. Exactly. Right. And you working with one of the best post players to ever play basketball, you know, basketball. so this is, I say all that to say, it's no slight to angel when I say this, we're getting Chelsea gray. That's going to go back to playing with the best player in the world. Okay. So again, if Chelsea is in the 2022 form, I agree with Nick. Speaker 1 (01:21:08.833) I agree too. You got the best plan of the We're hoping that Jewel will have a much better season because now she's taking a lesser role in Vegas. You still got Jack. I know we still have questions about Vegas' supporting cast, but 35 alone. But also on the- when you look at it, Dana, you got Tiffany Mitchell. You have dogs that have been slighted so far in the league that want to prove something now. So now you waking them up. You get what I'm saying? Like people have shitted on all those players that I just listed. we also can't forget about Cheyenne Parkers there too. So you have players that Yeah, dude, forgot. Speaker 3 (01:21:53.356) And was talking about her like, she went from being an all-star to not doing nothing last year. So, yep, Liz Kittley forgot about her. So they have players that want to prove something. People say Liz can't play in the WNBA. She ain't good enough to play in the WNBA. So everybody's going to walk in with a chip on their shoulder. So I hope they take advantage of that and really hoop this year. we were supposed to come on arrival, but that should turn into the W. I got I got too much say about arrival mom. It's been fun. It's about to end bring on a W season I do I do think lunar house is gonna win this thing. I Don't think vinyl can upset them at all Nah, I'm sorry. Is she still hurt? Speaker 2 (01:22:39.116) Yeah, Riki still hurt, I believe. Yes, didn't. Yes, she still hurt and Ryan Howard shot what two for 20 last game? Listen, I'm gonna say this again. I've said it before. Speaker 3 (01:22:52.93) I care. This is Ryan's hours last year before before I really have to let the let the choppers sing. She has one more year. I'm not probably not going to give it a whole year. You might have half sister because now you have. The lie got better because now you have a new coach and you have players that you can you have BG you got who you wanted. So love Ryan seems like a sweet girl. But sister your your clock is ticking. Your clock is ticking. She said you got till July. got till Speaker 2 (01:23:22.638) just think at this point, like Ryne is an exceptional offensive player, but I don't know if she's the player that you should build your team around respectfully. Like I think she could be a solid number two option, depending on what team she's on, but building your team around Ryne is a great, like I was saying, I don't think she has that personality though to really lead a team. Like, I mean, don't be wrong, like she has a great score, but as far as being a franchise player, I don't know. don't think that's cut for her. Maybe a three Speaker 1 (01:23:50.168) Have a- about angels risk but she did she did fall on the wrist she had surgery on right Only two of them. Speaker 3 (01:24:00.142) I'm tired. I'm saying sit the rest out. So sorry Basically Yeah, fuck these playoffs. Yeah, fuck these playoffs. I'm not. They need, I mean, but they need her, I guess. They need her. Everybody else look motherfuckers been going to Paris and shit people been doing Appearances, hey, just sit out now. It's time. Yeah you your wrists man, please I ain't got time to deal with they better make that call And speaking of Tyler, he is outside. He is everywhere He was here the day Speaker 3 (01:24:32.246) He was at Rival, like yeah, Tyler outside. He's outside man. He was pulling up the bill. He was pulling up the DePaul games here for what I have no idea. was at the ACC tournament. Sheryl Reeve was there. Tyler was there. What's the lady name from the ACS? Charlene, the assistant coach, she was there. So it's definitely a lot of WNBA coaches scouting the talent there. Yeah, that's that's good. That's good. That's real good. Um They better call Izzy. Uh I'm gonna say about on route, but it's been it's about to wrap up. It's been fun, you know I'm gonna actual thoughts y'all got a player of the week cuz I don't a Luchia Konawa for me from Duke. Speaker 1 (01:25:22.894) That's show player of week. Was it DePaul? No, was not. No, that was not the game that he was at. Matter of fact, he was at the game. Who jerseys he got to retire? Sleut woman. Yeah, her jersey got retired. That's why he was there. That's probably why he was there. Now I think about it. But yeah, that's going to be our show player of week. What Nick said. Oh, Ali, could we? Speaker 1 (01:25:51.578) I think I think low is good with that. But man, this was a be done man. She ain't got nothing else to say. Man, it's been a lot of hoops. See y'all Sunday. She basically if y'all come, hey, y'all won't come to the playback. We're going to be doing it. You know they're going to be What time is it on Sunday? It's like seven, ain't it? Six or seven? 8 y'all time, 8 Eastern. Speaker 3 (01:26:16.79) I was eight more time. Okay. So a little Dennis, 10 minutes with you sleep. We got the unrivaled playoffs and selection Sunday is happening so but I actually care more about the selection Sunday at first. Hey though and rival lighten you should have just came down You was never playing on a Sunday and now you play on Yeah, I'm gonna... Speaker 2 (01:26:37.966) literally like you could have had the first games on Saturday and then have the championship game on Monday that way the players get extra day rest that's just me. Probably, you know they got TV obligations and stuff too though, so. damn like you never played on set so now I'm thinking about it but well but yeah Sunday on Sundays. So y'all pull up Yeah, playback. So you ain't got to be asking us all for the rest of the week. You got to be DMing and adding us on Twitter. We will be on playback on Sunday. And I might pull up a little bit earlier just for the first game of Unarrivaled. But then we're to go straight to selection Sunday for sure. Low, Nick, y'all got anything to say? Y'all got anything else? Speaker 3 (01:27:23.47) No, just be, you know, I'ma leave you out with this word. Just be kind to people because you never know what somebody's going through. This is very goddamn true. That is for sure. My miss is a winning under rival. Speaking of rival, I'm not even going to entertain that. Shout out to Kerry. He's a new investor for Under Rivals. So shout out to him. That's dope. Oh, another thing. If y'all didn't see it, USC and South Carolina doing a home at home starting this fall. So that's going to be dope. If you can pull up to LA this year, do so. That's going to be a great. I'm another name, too. We got no, they got South being my god. Yes. I got to yeah, so it's gonna be a lot of shelter, know what shot the USC for scheduling these games they've been doing so Shout to them for that. That's that's big of them. You got they got you con us mean you con Notre Dame and South Carolina. It's cuz next year So shout out to look, we give Coach G a hard time, but shout out to her. You know what saying for scheduling these type of games like this will, this is how you grow the game. This is how you push the game forward. Speaker 2 (01:28:35.662) Thank you. USC versus South Carolina at a Staples Center and yes, I will always call it Staples. Agreed. I will never Yeah, yeah, come on. I'm never. Yeah, no, right. I never doing that **** but that's gonna be insane and over there. Yeah, let's get the LA for that but uh I ain't got nothing else to say. It's been fun. Wiley, you know what to do. We love y'all. Come on,
