- 0:00Uh.
- 0:03Jasmine, oolong, green
- 0:06and white. Long ago, these four
- 0:08teas were skilfully brewed at the Blissful Brew.
- 0:12Then everything changed when the shop's
- 0:14popularity threatened its existence.
- 0:17All Mr. Okeron, the shop's owner and tea
- 0:20master, could do was to recruit four teenage
- 0:23orphans to learn his trade and staff his
- 0:25shop. A, uh, year has passed since the orphans were
- 0:28hired, and although their skills have progressed, they
- 0:31still have a lot to learn before they can brew anything.
- 0:34But I believe that they have the potential to make the
- 0:37Blissful Brew the greatest tea shop in the
- 0:39world. Last time on
- 0:42Benders and Brews an Avatar Legends
- 0:45Podcast there's a factory in.
- 0:47Udao that has been repurposed to make
- 0:50large scale weapons. We need you
- 0:53to break into the facility and
- 0:56hit them in several key points in order
- 0:59to severely disable it. The furnace, the
- 1:02assembly line, and the casters.
- 1:04Nothing a trusty clipboard can't get us into.
- 1:07I'm with OSHA, sir. I'm here to,
- 1:10uh, do a little check of, uh, your
- 1:13construction site, make sure everything's up to code. I'll tell
- 1:15Guoha, uh, you go over to the assembly line.
- 1:18Uh, Mika, you make your way over to the furnace,
- 1:23poke a hole.
- 1:24Yeah.
- 1:25And I'm gonna put a sledgehammer on.
- 1:27My shoulder and start walking towards the caster and just
- 1:29break them. Whoa. You're over at the assembly
- 1:32line.
- 1:33Let's grab a whole tool belt.
- 1:36So I'm going to take the crowbar
- 1:39and try to pry off, like, the side
- 1:42of the assembly line, like the
- 1:45guard that's keeping all the stuff on the
- 1:47belt. So Guo's going to use the
- 1:50hammer now to start untightening,
- 1:53uh, bolts underneath there.
- 1:55And as you know, things start to buckle a little
- 1:58bit on the assembly line and you can hear it
- 2:00just to like a stop. You've
- 2:03caused such a versatile amount of different
- 2:06damage. Uh, a voice emanates from behind
- 2:09you, he says, names mayu
- 2:11Ninju.
- 2:18And welcome back, everybody, to another episode of
- 2:21Benderson Brews, season two. Uh,
- 2:24we are on the final two
- 2:26episodes of season two before we kind of
- 2:29finish things up. And then I've got a bit of an
- 2:32announcement that'll come your way in the form of kind of its own
- 2:34little audio episode thingamaber, um,
- 2:37about some changes about some cool new additions that we're adding to
- 2:40the show. But whatever the case, we'll get into that later. For now,
- 2:43we're doing episode
- 2:45eleven of season two. So
- 2:48we'll go around the table. We got all everybody's here today,
- 2:51uh, get some interesting character facts, starting
- 2:54with Connor, aka Brock
- 2:56Lee, the earth bending
- 2:59moonlighting fighter guy.
- 3:01Yeah. Um, so
- 3:04kind of pulling from real life here since real
- 3:07life.
- 3:08Yeah.
- 3:09Uh, Brock is consistently late
- 3:12to things that he is not told
- 3:15about ahead of time. He needs to be
- 3:18smacked across the face with the
- 3:21plans in order to actually make it
- 3:23on time.
- 3:24Gotcha. Ah, gotcha is there. Uh, and this is
- 3:27outside of Bill, like tricking him into thinking
- 3:30like plans.
- 3:33Mean, just independently. He's what
- 3:36the kids call stupid. So he's stupid
- 3:39enough on his own.
- 3:40All right, fair enough.
- 3:42Geez. Um, awesome. All right, moving.
- 3:45He's what they base the expression dumb as a box of
- 3:47rocks off of.
- 3:49Yeah, that's the one. Uh,
- 3:52moving on. We got, uh, Dave, aka.
- 3:55GuoHan.
- 3:57So GuoHan, he would travel city
- 4:00to city with the carnival, and
- 4:03he wouldn't always get fed the best. And what he
- 4:06did get fed was kind of bland. It's like a
- 4:09bowl of oats overnight
- 4:12oats or something.
- 4:13The cheap stuff.
- 4:14Uh, some of the animals ate better than
- 4:17he did, for sure. But
- 4:20he picked up a bit of foraging skills
- 4:23along the way. So as they were traveling, he
- 4:26would look at what other
- 4:29people were eating and stuff. And he
- 4:32figured out what herbs and spices he could
- 4:35or plants he could find along the trail
- 4:38and add to.
- 4:38His he's like he's like
- 4:41Remy at the beginning of Ratatouille
- 4:44where he finds that chunk of cheese. And he's like, you know what
- 4:47would be great with this cheese? And then he found like some I don't even remember
- 4:50what it was, some kind of grass or something. And then he
- 4:53squeezed a little bit of
- 4:56M residue or water or whatever from it.
- 4:59Interesting. Oh, that makes sense. That makes sense.
- 5:02He's a bit like Arthur Morgan.
- 5:05Red dead, too.
- 5:09Man. Globe's really making quite the chef
- 5:12character.
- 5:13He's turning into a bit of a foodie.
- 5:15Yeah, he is. I love it. I love it. Awesome. Moving
- 5:18on to Cameron, aka. Bill dore
- 5:22slash. Uh, you said your real
- 5:24name a couple episodes ago.
- 5:27Yeah. Trying to remember what it was.
- 5:30It was not Ash catch
- 5:35as Goldberg blink.
- 5:37It was ash unknown. Yeah, that sounds kind of cool,
- 5:40actually. Ash Unknown.
- 5:41That's his legal name. Okura.
- 5:47Wasn't unknown.
- 5:47A, uh, Pokemon.
- 5:50Oh, no.
- 5:53M. Uh, there's my fun
- 5:56fact about Bill.
- 5:57He's a Pokemon. No.
- 6:00Isn't there a weird Pokemon theory that Ash's
- 6:03dad is like Mr. Mime or something?
- 6:06Well, yeah.
- 6:07No, it's Professor Oak.
- 6:09Yeah, but also, like, what's
- 6:12the relationship between Mr. Mime and Ash's mom?
- 6:15I don't know, because he does live.
- 6:17There and does all the house chores and stuff. Um,
- 6:20but yeah. Okay. Sorry. What is Bill's fan?
- 6:23Oh, it was just that his real name is Ash.
- 6:26Okay, what I was going to say
- 6:29is
- 6:32I'm actually going to say what his last name is
- 6:35because that could show up later. I don't know. I feel like it's kind
- 6:38of an important name.
- 6:39Sure.
- 6:39It's, uh, not in terms of the.
- 6:41Uh don't hold your breath.
- 6:42The fiction.
- 6:43Well, there's my fun fact then.
- 6:45You're just going to drop a no.
- 6:47I'm not going to say his last name. I'm just going to drop a hint and say
- 6:50that his last name is pretty important.
- 6:53No, that's Bill or
- 6:56sorry, ash pretty important.
- 6:57Ash pretty important? Yes. No, he's
- 7:00from a it's like the Clipboard.
- 7:03Ash or Bill is from
- 7:06a rich family. And that's what
- 7:09I mean by he's.
- 7:10Are we talking like.
- 7:14No, no, not Daddy Warbucks. Is he part of the Shifu family?
- 7:17That's why you were able to just.
- 7:18Know where the kitchen was and make a sandwich. See, that
- 7:20actually is part of it.
- 7:22Uh, is that Phil is used to.
- 7:25Living in a.
- 7:28General ash.
- 7:29Ash v bucks.
- 7:31V. Bucks.
- 7:32Ash lived in a mansion. Bill lives off the land
- 7:35with his Bow staff.
- 7:35Um, got that fortnite money.
- 7:38But both Ash and so good at
- 7:40building. But Ash and Bill both
- 7:45love his Bow staff.
- 7:46Sure.
- 7:47Yeah.
- 7:48Awesome. Fantastic. That's cryptic,
- 7:51for sure. Uh, Michaela aka
- 7:54Mika unknown.
- 7:58Ah, what is Mika's interesting fact?
- 8:00Um, Mika's interesting fact is she loves to
- 8:03do puzzles. However, she's
- 8:06never completed one. And it's not because she's
- 8:09stupid and she can't put a puzzle together. It's because
- 8:12there's always one piece missing she can
- 8:15never find. You know, could be her fox
- 8:17dog that's losing them. Maybe it's one of the boys
- 8:23who knows.
- 8:24Brock, what are you doing with me? Because puzzle
- 8:26pieces.
- 8:29He's making a rock puzzle.
- 8:32Takes one piece from a puzzle at a time and then
- 8:35he just mashes it into one of the whatever.
- 8:38He's slowly making a collage of
- 8:41odd puzzle pieces.
- 8:42He's like, these definitely go together. It's a purple and
- 8:45a red. They match, they cry.
- 8:50I like to think that, uh he thinks that
- 8:53they're like missing pieces. He's like, whoa, I found another missing
- 8:56piece for my puzle I'm putting together. And because like,
- 8:59dude, it was literally in the box with the other
- 9:02pieces. You monster.
- 9:08Yeah. You took his piece.
- 9:09Yeah. He just looks at and he goes, oh, my gosh, this is the piece I've been
- 9:12missing. Smashes it into his
- 9:15uh, hey, everybody, I'm Skyler. I'm the game master.
- 9:19Interesting, uh, fact about me. I have a
- 9:22pack of adult diapers at my work office.
- 9:25And not for the reason you think.
- 9:28All right, let's go.
- 9:33All right. And we're back. Uh, it is
- 9:35episode eleven. You guys had
- 9:38just gotten to you dow
- 9:42one gotten to you dow two.
- 9:44You tried to find the mysterious
- 9:47Mayu Yinyu that Mr. Okaran had told you about,
- 9:50that he had some sort of friendship with. Um,
- 9:54and the next clue was going to come from this
- 9:57mysterious Mayu Yinyu. Uh, three. You
- 9:59guys searched Mayu Yinyu and found the
- 10:02theater, the local theater where you
- 10:05sort of looked around to try to find answers, find out who he was. And
- 10:08instead, you received a mysterious note that gave you
- 10:11three options of some sort of job to do
- 10:14for a.
- 10:14Rebel organization that seems to be
- 10:17residing in the city of Udao.
- 10:19Uh, they are trying to stop the fire nations
- 10:22that are and thank you, Connor Gentrifying.
- 10:26Yeah, that was definitely the can you use it that way?
- 10:29Gentrifying, I think so.
- 10:31Moving people out so you can put in a new
- 10:34yep, yep.
- 10:35So, um awesome. Yeah, they were doing that to the city
- 10:38of Udao, trying to kick out the earthbenders and
- 10:40replace the sort of community with firebenders.
- 10:44I think that was the biggest plot twist so far in this whole
- 10:46show. Brock saying the
- 10:49gentrification.
- 10:54You know what, though? Given your past, it would kind
- 10:56of make sense that you would know about that and what
- 10:59happened.
- 11:00To some extent, you learned it from the streets.
- 11:03The streets.
- 11:04Not from books or the fancy readings,
- 11:07man.
- 11:07People on the streets, they know the vocab.
- 11:10We go over our Latin roots.
- 11:12That's right. Slang.
- 11:14Gentrification slang. Typical
- 11:16slang.
- 11:18Brock grew up on the corner of Maine and
- 11:21Gentrification Street.
- 11:25Um, once you guys found, uh, out about
- 11:28this organization, like I said, you received that note. Um,
- 11:31they asked you to do a job for them. You guys chose the option
- 11:34sabotage, which sent you to go sabotage
- 11:37a fire, uh, nation factory
- 11:40where they were developing some sort of weapons. And thanks
- 11:43to the power of Clipboards, uh,
- 11:46and calling out the whole OSHA to help
- 11:49you, you were successful in this
- 11:51endeavor. Um,
- 11:53congratulations to all you for that. As you guys were
- 11:56leaving the facility, a voice called out
- 11:59from behind you. You turn to find a man
- 12:02that calls himself Mayu
- 12:05Yinyu. And that's where we pick back
- 12:08up. He stands there before I do this
- 12:10whole pick back up, and it's like I just played for the
- 12:13audience, like a whole recap of the episode.
- 12:16But it's nice to sort of round
- 12:19out that recap. But anyways,
- 12:22that's where you guys are standing at. He stands before you, he
- 12:25says, well, that was a pretty impressive
- 12:28job you guys just pulled there. I gotta say,
- 12:31uh, I wasn't thinking to be quite so successful,
- 12:33but well done. My name is
- 12:36Mayu Yinyu. Uh, what are your
- 12:39names?
- 12:42Well, names? Uh, Yinyu yuma.
- 12:45Nice to meet you, Yin Yu
- 12:47Yuma.
- 12:48Now, hey, I gotta ask, you know the
- 12:50gal, uh, that is your mother that gave you that name?
- 12:53Uh, Shiver. Talk about me?
- 12:58Uh, never actually met my
- 13:01mother.
- 13:03I'm pretty sure she must be a fan if she gave you a name
- 13:06like that. Uh, nice to meet you. Uh,
- 13:10sorry, what was it again?
- 13:12I'm just kidding. My name is Glow.
- 13:14Oh, you got me. You
- 13:17got me good. Uh, but hey, you know what? That's a lot
- 13:20easier to remember. Nice, uh, to meet you. Guo.
- 13:22You'd be surprised.
- 13:26I didn't think about that.
- 13:29Uh, who are the rest of you, uh,
- 13:32kids? I wasn't even expecting kids, to be honest with
- 13:35you. I thought, uh, you guys would be full grown adults. But, uh, hey,
- 13:38that's what I get for assuming.
- 13:40And we assumed that you'd be a.
- 13:43You know, assumptions go both ways and, uh,
- 13:46they make us both look like
- 13:49donkey ah, birds.
- 13:51So I'm bill.
- 13:53No. Bill. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you.
- 13:55I'm Brock.
- 13:56Brock. All right on you're tall glass
- 13:59of water, my friend.
- 14:01Yes, sir. And I still have my very powerful clipboard. Thank you for
- 14:03noticing.
- 14:04Yeah, that's quite the clipboard there. Looks, uh, like
- 14:06genuine made out of rocks.
- 14:09Yes, out of rocks. Is it heavy?
- 14:12No, not really.
- 14:14Right on. Hey, big strong guy like yourself, I
- 14:16can't imagine it'd be much to you.
- 14:19Yeah, it's nothing, really.
- 14:21All right. On. And who's, uh, this, uh, little
- 14:24lady right here? Mika. M
- 14:27Mika. All right on. Nice to meet you, Mika. Uh,
- 14:30well, fantastic. Where are you guys from? What made
- 14:33you so interested in, uh, myself
- 14:36and the rescue team squadron?
- 14:40We worked for Mr. Okuron and, uh
- 14:43Mr. Okuron.
- 14:44Now, see, there's a guy. There's a guy.
- 14:47There's a guy right there. There's a guy. There's a nice
- 14:50guy. Good guy.
- 14:53Still running that tea? Get that tea shop opened up.
- 14:56I'm just kidding. I know he got that tea shop open up. I saw him a couple
- 14:59of weeks ago. About a month ago. How long was it? That
- 15:02was about a month ago. Maybe a little longer.
- 15:04Do we tell him? Uh, sure.
- 15:07Nothing to tell.
- 15:08Yeah, there's plenty to tell.
- 15:10He's discussing something to tell. It sounds
- 15:13like there's something to tell.
- 15:14Yeah, we're here about something important.
- 15:17All right.
- 15:18Mr. Okaron, right? He's dead.
- 15:22And, uh, this guy has been
- 15:25pretty smiley and chuckly
- 15:28and real charismatic, but, uh, you definitely
- 15:31see a, uh, real sadness kind of fall across his
- 15:34face. This sort of, like, graven, uh,
- 15:38physique, you could say, kind of comes over
- 15:41him. And, uh, he looks down at the ground. He kind of just kind of
- 15:44kicks at the dirt. And he's like, well, ah,
- 15:47that's not cool. Uh, that's a
- 15:50real bummer, for sure.
- 15:51Uh, how'd you know him?
- 15:53Oh, man, me and Okaron, man, we went way back.
- 15:56He came to, uh you dow? I was
- 15:58performing, but I had a
- 16:01sore throat. And
- 16:04not trying to brag or anything, but I'm a pretty big deal around
- 16:07these parts, and, uh, I've been performing for a long
- 16:10time. Not that I'm old or anything. I mean,
- 16:13I'm only, like, 32 after.
- 16:16Okay, 34, you got me. But I digress.
- 16:19I'm only 34. Uh,
- 16:22like I said, I'm pretty good at what I do, and, uh,
- 16:25so it was a big nerve wracking
- 16:27deal to know that I was about to go on stage,
- 16:30perform in front of a bunch of people, and, I mean, my
- 16:33throat was messed up and there
- 16:36was nothing I could do, and I just left. I just ran out of
- 16:38there. They had to do, like, an encore performance for my,
- 16:41uh, opening acts because I wasn't there. And they're
- 16:44freaking out. They're running all over. Only thing I could think of to do.
- 16:47Go get some tea. Maybe that'll help you get a sore throat. Get a
- 16:50frog in your throat. Whatever the case, you drink some tea, put some honey in
- 16:53there sometimes it helps work itself out. Sure enough,
- 16:56uh, I see this little traveling, uh, this chunky guy
- 16:59running a little tea stand or whatever, just make his
- 17:02way through you down. I don't even think he was living here at the time. Well,
- 17:05I know he wasn't. I talked to him afterwards. I digress. Anyway, so,
- 17:08uh, he gives me this tea, and he's like, this will fix you
- 17:10right up. He does a pretty good impression of, uh, Mr. Oak
- 17:13Run, and, uh, I drink that, and, man, I
- 17:16don't think I ever sounded better. I'm not going to lie to
- 17:19you. Uh, it's pretty fantastic. I ran back to theater,
- 17:22I gave him some tickets, he came along.
- 17:24I think he left the show a little early because he just sold
- 17:27tea to the people as they were leaving, which,
- 17:30hey, got to love the Hustle, but, uh, yeah,
- 17:33we had a couple of drinks, and, uh, offered to let him stay at
- 17:36my place for a couple of days. We really got to know each other,
- 17:39and he's just a generally great guy. Sometimes I go
- 17:42down to Galing. Is that where you guys are from, then?
- 17:45Uh, none of us are. Right.
- 17:47That's where we live currently. Yeah,
- 17:50that's where we came from.
- 17:51Right. Okay. Right on. That's probably how
- 17:54you met him.
- 17:55We all worked at at his shop.
- 17:57Oh, really? So he did get it up and go. Well, like I said, I knew
- 18:00it, but I didn't know he had, like, a full staff. I mean, that's a
- 18:03lot more than he kind of he said it was just, like, a little old tea shop, and
- 18:05I'm just thinking his little mobile whatnot that he
- 18:08had going and wow. That's awesome.
- 18:12I guess it's not as awesome because he's
- 18:15not around anymore, but, um, we.
- 18:18All have our time.
- 18:19Yeah, I suppose so. Yeah. Man, I'm going to
- 18:22miss that guy.
- 18:23But we're doing what we can to keep the shop
- 18:26open. You see, after he died, they
- 18:29wanted to close it. And the only
- 18:32way that we can keep it open is if we can
- 18:35get his will. But
- 18:38he, for some reason, carefully
- 18:40hidden his will behind a
- 18:43series of riddles
- 18:46puzzles. Like a will
- 18:49scavenger, huh? Hunt and you
- 18:52were the next clue.
- 18:56What was the last clue that you found?
- 18:59Gohan you
- 19:01found this guy.
- 19:04He has the last oh,
- 19:07that's a good one.
- 19:09No, we found, um,
- 19:12this box with a letter.
- 19:15Well, it had letters on the bottom. We had
- 19:18to read between the lines.
- 19:19Of the letter, right.
- 19:22To find you. What was the last clue? I don't
- 19:25remember.
- 19:26Out of curiosity, uh, you mentioned
- 19:29a box. It wasn't by any chance, like, a music
- 19:32box, was it?
- 19:34It was a music box, yes.
- 19:36Interesting. Well, that would explain the
- 19:39weird package I got from him a couple of weeks
- 19:42ago.
- 19:43A couple of weeks ago?
- 19:44Yeah. He sent me this weird package. I opened it up
- 19:47and there was a columba in there,
- 19:50which I thought was OD, because he knows
- 19:53I play, but it's not
- 19:56like I've ever needed one.
- 19:59And it didn't seem all that I'm not trying to
- 20:02sound rude or anything, but it didn't seem different from
- 20:05just like your typical everyday columba whatever,
- 20:07but it was a nice gift. And there was, like a
- 20:10weird letter in there and it mentioned something
- 20:13about some kids that would come
- 20:16asking for it, which
- 20:19I've been talking this whole time, and that just didn't click with me
- 20:22until just now. So, uh
- 20:25hey, that's probably you guys.
- 20:28Do you have that columba on you?
- 20:30All right, so that's where things get a little bit
- 20:33complicated. Um, hey,
- 20:37we're really close to that factory. Why don't you guys come
- 20:40with me back to the base? Now that I know that you
- 20:43guys are pretty chill and you guys are friends with Okoran, I feel like
- 20:46I can trust you guys. Uh, why don't you guys come with me to the
- 20:49base and we can explain everything and I can help you figure
- 20:52out how to get this columba. Uh, because I'm actually in a
- 20:55little bit of a dilemma with it as well. Not the columba per
- 20:58se, but something adjacent to it. And, uh,
- 21:01I could probably use your guys'help. You guys could use my help.
- 21:04I think it'll be a solid situation for everybody,
- 21:07honestly. If that's cool with
- 21:10you guys.
- 21:11Sure. Yeah.
- 21:12Awesome. So, uh, he leads the way, and
- 21:15he takes a few twists and turns. Uh, but he kind of keeps you guys
- 21:18just on the outskirts of the city. You guys go through
- 21:21some bushes and some other stuff. Feels kind of weird. He's just,
- 21:23like, leading you almost into the deeper into the
- 21:26woods outside the city. Um, and so the
- 21:29city itself kind of sits on top of a cliffside.
- 21:32So he takes you over close to the edge of the cliffside and he
- 21:35pulls back some bushes and you see what looks like
- 21:38one of those mail shoots. Kind of like what you saw
- 21:41in the Avatar show, right? The mail
- 21:44shoots that they use to move little slides that they can
- 21:47send packages all across the city on, right? And they got one of
- 21:50these mail shoots and they got a little cart on the top of it's.
- 21:53Pretty wide, large cart. You can probably fit a few people in it.
- 21:56Um, there's like maybe three of these carts sitting up
- 21:58there. And he's like,
- 22:01all right, this is how we get to the base. Hop on
- 22:04in. He hops into one of the front
- 22:07carts. He motions for you guys to join him in
- 22:10either his cart or one of the other carts.
- 22:12I hop in the cart with him.
- 22:13All right.
- 22:14I feel like you should hop in the cart with him since you can't really bend your
- 22:17way over there. I would imagine they
- 22:19require have a bow staff.
- 22:22I could hit that. Okay, fine. I'll hop
- 22:25in this cart.
- 22:26You can hop in any of the carts. I don't think everybody's going to fit in
- 22:29one cart.
- 22:30I'll hop in a different cart. Hop in the one with Bill, because otherwise we'll
- 22:33probably get stranded there.
- 22:34I'm not meek. Are you hopping
- 22:37in? Rock your own cart. All right. I can use
- 22:40my bow staff to paddle.
- 22:42Okay, fine. I won't help. And you paddle this bow.
- 22:45I don't think we need a paddle. It's pretty downhill.
- 22:48That's true.
- 22:49Oh, it's downhill?
- 22:50Oh, yeah.
- 22:51Oh, I thought it was like a railroad track.
- 22:53So basically, it's going off the
- 22:55cliff, like, almost over. Just
- 22:58nothingness.
- 22:59Right.
- 22:59And then it seems to kind of curve off down towards
- 23:02lower cliffside.
- 23:04Brock, I think you're going to love this
- 23:07for sure.
- 23:08Um, all right, so stick your hands
- 23:10up. More fun.
- 23:15Mayu Yinyu pushes off his with glow in
- 23:18it. Um, Bill, I'm
- 23:20assuming you're pushing off with your stick as best you can.
- 23:23It takes a little bit, but sure enough yeah, you're able to push it onto
- 23:26the track. And once you're kind of on that, it starts to just kind of carry you
- 23:29down. Um, Mika, what are you doing to get
- 23:32yours going?
- 23:33Um, I am using my water
- 23:36from my thing,
- 23:39my drink catcher.
- 23:41How describe to me what this looks like.
- 23:44Um, well, I'm using it to push
- 23:47from behind, so it's just like, okay.
- 23:50A whirlpool in it. And since pushing okay.
- 23:53So then it's just kind of like, donking the back of it until it gets onto the
- 23:56track. Okay, cool. All right. So you're able to push yours
- 23:58onto the, uh, track as well. And that kind of,
- 24:01again, inertia kicks in and you guys start going down. It is a pretty
- 24:04wild ride, lots of speed. Some of you
- 24:07may be lifting your hands up in the air because it feels kind of like a roller
- 24:10coaster. So basically what it does is it curves off the
- 24:13edge of this cliff over just nothingness you can see
- 24:16just underneath as you look ahead on the track,
- 24:19there are some tall, uh,
- 24:22sections of wood that kind of hold this track up as you go
- 24:24down. But, I mean, it's not big and
- 24:27it looks super sturdy, so it's a little
- 24:30bit nerve wracking. But as you guys kind of come around this
- 24:33curve, you can see that what it does is it kind of just
- 24:35shoots you right into the side of the cliff. There's a big
- 24:38opening, and you just go right inside. Yeah,
- 24:41you go right inside this big opening. And then once you get
- 24:44into the opening, uh, everything's just pitch black. But you're still on
- 24:47the move, uh, which is absolutely terrifying because you
- 24:50don't know where you're going at the moment.
- 24:53Mayu um Yinyu shouts behind him,
- 24:56don't worry. It's a little bit scary, but, uh, we're going to be
- 24:59okay. Trust me. I just came down this earlier today,
- 25:01and it's good to go. Don't worry. Um,
- 25:04and sure enough, eventually, uh, you can see a light at the end
- 25:07of the tunnel. And as you guys come to the end of that, it opens
- 25:10up into this massive cave.
- 25:13Um, I'm talking, like, city
- 25:16sized. As you guys kind of slide
- 25:18into this, you can see, um, small
- 25:21buildings actually passing by you as you kind of come
- 25:24in and you see people. There are people in there. There's
- 25:27hundreds, probably, of people that are inside of this cave.
- 25:30Um, they're moving from these buildings to buildings. It's
- 25:33almost like a mini town inside of this
- 25:36massive cavern that seems to sit underneath
- 25:39the entire city of Udao. And eventually,
- 25:42your cart slows to a stop, and there's kind of like a little end
- 25:45of the track section as it slows. Um, and
- 25:48as you guys reach that, there's a couple of guys, uh,
- 25:51Earthbenders there wearing Earthbender
- 25:53uniforms. And as you guys get out, they kind of,
- 25:56like, use some Earthbending to kind of start pushing,
- 25:59um, the carts back up the mail chute,
- 26:02and you stand inside of this
- 26:04massive rescue, uh, team squadron
- 26:07base that, like I said, is almost like a small town
- 26:10underneath the city of Yudao. And
- 26:13Mayu Yinyu looks at you guys and he says, well,
- 26:16I bet you guys are pretty surprised, right? We got quite
- 26:19the operation going on down here. What do you think?
- 26:23Kind of seems to be expected for a secret
- 26:26group organization.
- 26:28Well, she's not very easily impressed.
- 26:31Fair enough.
- 26:32Uh, well, I'll say this is a pretty solid
- 26:35base. Cracking.
- 26:37Thank you. See, now this guy gets
- 26:40it. See, this is a lot better than our old base. We actually had
- 26:43an above ground base, uh, before,
- 26:45and this is kind of boring, right? Seems kind
- 26:48of stupid, right? It
- 26:51was. Uh, but this underground one is, like, way
- 26:53cooler. And, uh, if I'm being
- 26:56honest with you guys, this is actually the
- 26:59rescue team squadron, like, their entire
- 27:02organization's main base. This is, like, a
- 27:05pretty big deal. Uh, the other one that we
- 27:08had, the old one, that was just like the Udao base, but we ended
- 27:11up moving it because we got found out.
- 27:14Uh, that was awkward, so we came down here
- 27:17instead. Uh, don't try
- 27:20to go back through the tunnel. Just FYI,
- 27:23you couldn't see me, but I was deactivating traps along
- 27:26the way, so if you go back down there, they're going to be activated
- 27:29again, and.
- 27:30That'S not are you bluffing?
- 27:32No. I mean, I'm just trying to keep you guys safe.
- 27:35If you want to leave, let me know and we'll take the safe
- 27:38way out.
- 27:38Seems like you're bluffing.
- 27:40Uh, hey, um,
- 27:44you do you, man.
- 27:47Like I said, I'm just doing this for your safety,
- 27:50letting you know. But, uh, whatever the case. Yeah. Uh,
- 27:53welcome. Welcome to the rescue team squadron base. Uh, I'll
- 27:56take you guys over to kind of the main area. You uh, guys can
- 27:59meet the other important people like myself
- 28:03and uh, yeah, we can kind of get you guys informed
- 28:06on what the plan is. So as you guys are walking
- 28:09and make your way through this, like I said, practically a town,
- 28:11um, you see a lot of different things. There's stations, uh,
- 28:14where blacksmiths are working to make weapons.
- 28:17There's training areas where rebel soldiers are working on their
- 28:20fighting styles and they're bending. Uh, there's
- 28:22medical bays where healers are taking care of the weak and
- 28:25sick. Not all of them. You can look and you see that
- 28:28not all of them are rebel soldiers. Some of them are just kind of general
- 28:31citizens. There's children, there's elderly,
- 28:34um, just like earth bending, water
- 28:37bending and or sorry, Earth
- 28:40Kingdom, Water Nation, et cetera.
- 28:43Just individuals just kind of seem to exist here. It's
- 28:46a very like melting pot of the Avatar
- 28:49Society. Um, there's other similar
- 28:52facilities you might pass by. It just a little too
- 28:55fast to be able to see what it is that they do there. But I digress,
- 28:58like I said, it's very much like an entire
- 29:00city down here. Um, you actually
- 29:03even watch as some earthbenders are just kind of using
- 29:06their earth bending to kind of erect a uh,
- 29:09little house for a small family that's just kind of
- 29:12sitting there. And they go inside and you can see them doing a bunch
- 29:15of stuff to make the furniture and
- 29:18the other parts of the inside of the house and everything. So
- 29:21you can tell that thanks to the Earthbender's ability to
- 29:24manipulate the stone and manipulate the Earth, um,
- 29:27it's really easy for them to put up a base like this, uh, to
- 29:30really just build the buildings that they need and so on and so forth. So
- 29:33as you guys uh, continue following Mayu, you come to
- 29:35what looks like a big kind of open
- 29:39concept facility, uh,
- 29:41where there's a big circular table kind of in the middle
- 29:44of this space and there's a number of
- 29:47individuals that are kind of bent over it. And as you guys enter, you see
- 29:50a map of what looks like, uh, it's kind of a 3d
- 29:53map, actually, because, again, Earth bending. It's all little, like,
- 29:56stone miniatures.
- 29:58And you see them kind of like, pointing
- 30:01at different spots on this, what looks to be a large
- 30:04building or facility, kind, um, of
- 30:07set inside of what seems to be like ruins.
- 30:10Uh, and they're all kind of analyzing it or pointing out
- 30:13spots and talking to each other. And as you guys are
- 30:15walking in here, Brock, uh, you actually
- 30:18notice a familiar face here?
- 30:20Oh, do I?
- 30:21Yes, you see. Sora your friend
- 30:24who helped you break out of prison girl
- 30:27back friend.
- 30:29Do I know?
- 30:30You do.
- 30:33And she seems. To be kind of just standing,
- 30:36um, kind, uh,
- 30:39of just overseeing it. But as you guys approach, she looks up
- 30:42and she sees you, and her eyes get really wide,
- 30:45and she starts waving. And you hear a
- 30:48shout out, oh, my gosh.
- 30:50Brock Lee. What in the world are you doing
- 30:52here? Did you finally decide to join up with us?
- 30:55Actually, if I'm honest, I had no idea this place
- 30:58existed until about ten minutes ago.
- 31:00And by this point, of course, all the other individuals have kind of stopped their
- 31:03planning or whatever it is they're doing. They're looking at you guys as you approach.
- 31:06She says, Well, I for 01:00 a.m. So glad you found
- 31:09us. How the heck have you been?
- 31:11Uh, I've been doing all right ever since, uh, we broke out.
- 31:14I've just been laying low, working at a tea shop,
- 31:17and now we're on this sort of wild goose
- 31:20chase treasure hunt to let us out here.
- 31:22Right on. Look at you, making something of yourself.
- 31:25Say, did you ever get into that fighting ring or
- 31:28whatever it was you talked about to help you get stronger?
- 31:30Uh, here and there, a little bit, but, uh,
- 31:33yeah.
- 31:34You gotten any stronger since the last time I saw you?
- 31:36And she throws a punch at your
- 31:39shoulder?
- 31:40Uh, a little bit.
- 31:42Well, you'll have to show me later. Right now, we're in the middle of
- 31:45a planning session, actually. I'm glad he can make it.
- 31:48What's going on?
- 31:49And Mayu looks at me, he's like, hey, yeah, i, uh,
- 31:52found these kids. Uh, they kind of answered our little,
- 31:55like, help wanted ad. Remember what, uh, we were looking for
- 31:58somebody to take down the factory? Yeah. These kids did it.
- 32:00Sora's, like, I'm not even surprised knowing that
- 32:03Brock was involved. He helped me bust out all those
- 32:06Earthbenders out of that prison camp way back when. You all
- 32:09remember that, right?
- 32:10And they're like, oh, yeah. Wow. Yeah. Okay.
- 32:12Very impressive. Yeah.
- 32:14Me and Sora built the Underground Railroad together.
- 32:17That's right, we did. Although we didn't have a
- 32:20train.
- 32:20There was no train. But I just have a feeling
- 32:22that's, uh, a cool name.
- 32:25Yeah, I like it. It's a great
- 32:27name. Kind of has a cool Earthbender ring.
- 32:30To, uh,
- 32:32to or Mayo Yinyu kind of starts pointing everybody out, and he's like,
- 32:35well, I better introduce all these guys. All uh,
- 32:38right, so right over here you got General Ming. He's, uh, kind of
- 32:41the lead figure. And standing before you, you see this very
- 32:44stern, uh, gray bearded,
- 32:47uh, Earth Kingdom dressed. You know, he's got a lot of
- 32:50badges on his Earth Kingdom
- 32:53armor. Uh, he's got, like, armor on, so.
- 32:56He got a nice hat.
- 32:57He is hatless, actually.
- 33:00Which means that if you were to get a hat, you'd be,
- 33:03I guess, a step ahead of him. I don't know, I don't really know.
- 33:05How that works in your badges are pretty nice.
- 33:08Oh, no, he switched the badges. But, uh,
- 33:11yes, he looks very stern. And he just kind of gives you one of those
- 33:14as he gives you a slight nod as you approach.
- 33:17She points over. She says, over there, we got
- 33:21sorry. Uh, then Mayu points at Sora
- 33:24and he says, uh, this is Colonel Sora
- 33:26Bola. Uh, it sounds like Brock,
- 33:29you guys already know each other. So I mean, that's kind of helpful.
- 33:32Uh, you guys see Sora, she's actually about your
- 33:35age. Uh, but she, too, wears some very nice
- 33:38earthbending kind of military clothes. She
- 33:41has a couple of badges as well. They're different badges. If
- 33:44you look back closely, they're different badges than what the General
- 33:47has. But, um, she just kind of has a big old smile
- 33:50on her face. Uh, she has like, blonde hair, if I remember
- 33:52correctly. It's kind of short. It's about to like
- 33:55her. I don't know, chin line. I don't know
- 33:58how to her shoulders pretty close. Yeah, just
- 34:01shy of her shoulders. Um, got a little bit of
- 34:04freckles going on. And, uh, like I said, she's just got a big
- 34:06smile on her face. She's pretty excited to see her old friend
- 34:09Brock. Uh, mayu continues.
- 34:12He points over. He says this is a major
- 34:14sato. And Sato is wearing a
- 34:17waterbender clothing. Uh, he is also
- 34:20an older man, uh, very thin,
- 34:23uh, unshaven. He has these large,
- 34:26wide brimmed glasses on. And he reaches up and
- 34:29he adjusts them with one of his
- 34:31central fingers, like some sort of anime
- 34:34protagonist character. And he
- 34:37says, it's a pleasure to meet you.
- 34:41Uh, he points over to the next person. He says. Uh,
- 34:44this is Captain Lena. And you see a woman
- 34:47standing there and, uh, she gives you all a smile and she's like,
- 34:49hey, it's great to see you guys here. It's great to have, uh,
- 34:52some more, uh, people helping us out.
- 34:56She, uh, just seems like a bright person. Uh, she doesn't wear
- 34:59clothing that alludes to being a part of any
- 35:01oh, sorry, I'm going to have to
- 35:04rephrase that. Uh, she doesn't wear anything
- 35:07that gosh
- 35:11the clothing she has on doesn't elude that
- 35:14she's part of any particular nation. It's sort of like
- 35:17gray colors mixed, uh, with
- 35:20some, uh, maybe some neutral yellow. Uh,
- 35:23sounds weird to pair with gray. I don't
- 35:26know. She's sure, yeah,
- 35:28orange, but she doesn't seem fire
- 35:31nation, just based on the style. She just kind of
- 35:34seems unaffiliated, let's say that,
- 35:37uh, he continues. He says, over there we got Dr.
- 35:39Takah. Uh, sorry, over there we got
- 35:42Docker. Docker.
- 35:44Dockers soccer. We got a pair of Dockers. If
- 35:47anybody needs some pants, maybe
- 35:50over there we got Dr. Takahashi.
- 35:53Um, he's our
- 35:56medic. And you see another man. He's, uh, just
- 35:59kind of standing at attention. He's just got a nice smile, but he seems
- 36:02very silent. And he just gives you a very kind
- 36:04nod. Uh, next up we
- 36:07got engineer, uh, Nakamura and
- 36:10Technician Kim. Uh, I mentioned them both together
- 36:13because and they kind of like, put their arms around
- 36:16each other and they wave. It's a nice couple. They're
- 36:18like, uh, maybe in their 40s, early
- 36:2140s, um, because they're together, they're
- 36:24married. Uh, so, yeah, Nakamura and
- 36:27Kim, they're ah, like, well, it's
- 36:30so great to have you guys here. Yes, it's always great to
- 36:32see you next generation taking
- 36:35part in what we do around here.
- 36:38And then, of course, we get back to myself.
- 36:41Mayu Yinyu. I'm kind of, uh, the
- 36:43voice, some say the face of the
- 36:46rebellion. Uh,
- 36:49yeah, whatever the case, uh, I lead a lot of the protest stuff. Uh,
- 36:52some of the more like putting up posters
- 36:55that say, up yours to the Fire
- 36:58Nation. That kind of good stuff. The stuff that really gets
- 37:01the common folk going, yeah, I
- 37:04like this guy. I like this guy. He says, Queen Eku. He
- 37:07gets it. He sees my end of things. He sees what I'm
- 37:09doing. He knows I'm working hard. He knows it's
- 37:12important. Anyways, uh, anyway, that's everybody,
- 37:15uh, uh, are you guys working on
- 37:18the plans right now? And the General goes,
- 37:21yes, in fact, uh, we've gotten quite a
- 37:24ways through since you've been gone, Mayu. And
- 37:27Mayu is like, well, this side of
- 37:30things isn't really my side of the operations. And he's like,
- 37:33well, we always appreciate having extra
- 37:35input, so it's nice to
- 37:38have you around. Well,
- 37:41that's right, it is. And thanks for saying so,
- 37:44General. And you guys again, like I said, you look
- 37:47over and you see what seems to be, um, some sort
- 37:50of a large building that's kind of built into
- 37:53the ruins that seem to
- 37:55exist, uh, somewhere. You're not really sure what this is.
- 37:58Sora steps forward and she says, oh, right.
- 38:01Sorry about that. So a, uh, basic rundown of
- 38:03the current situation. This is actually our new
- 38:06permanent base that you're currently standing in. It's a lot
- 38:09better than our old base, which was actually above ground. And
- 38:12because of that fact, it didn't really work out too well.
- 38:15See, about a week ago, the Fire Nation actually caught
- 38:18onto our activities and discovered our base. So we had to flee down
- 38:21here, which wasn't a huge issue, except for the fact
- 38:24that in our hurry to leave the old base, we left some pretty
- 38:27important plans and documents behind. If the Fire
- 38:30Nation gets their hands on them, we're going to be in hot water.
- 38:33Thankfully, they haven't gone to anything currently.
- 38:36They have a specialist coming who works with avoiding rebel
- 38:39traps and cybering rebel codes. He's not here
- 38:42yet, so we're planning a bit of a break in, or heist, if you will,
- 38:44to steal back the important stuff before he gets here.
- 38:48Is that where our music box is?
- 38:50Mayu steps in, he's like, yes, uh, that's where I left
- 38:53the, uh, columba. Unfortunately, it
- 38:55wasn't among the things that I had time to grab on our way
- 38:58running out of there. And so looks
- 39:01like it's time to.
- 39:02Dust off the old clipboard.

- 40:59Everything that comes out of his mouth, I feel
- 41:02like is a lie.
- 41:04My m mouth.
- 41:05Mr. M mayu Yingu
- 41:08Yinyu.
- 41:10Trust him.
- 41:11He just seems too carefree and like,
- 41:14yeah, man, that's totally where it's at.
- 41:16Brock super carefree.
- 41:18But Brock sounds more
- 41:22what?
- 41:23Go ahead, finish your
- 41:29what.
- 41:32Mayu Yinyu seems like a great guy, uh, to
- 41:34me.
- 41:35Mika quote you love everybody.
- 41:41That's not true.
- 41:43I hate some people.
- 41:45Okay, who do you hate besides just a
- 41:48general group of fire nation?
- 41:51Uh, I never said I hate the fire.
- 41:55Hey, that is trader. No, I'm just
- 41:58kidding.
- 42:03Well, for one, the carnival
- 42:06owner. M okay, not
- 42:09too funny.
- 42:10Can't blame you there.
- 42:11Why?
- 42:13Because he treated me like a garbage
- 42:16slave dog and
- 42:19a lot of words. Made me do all sorts of nasty
- 42:22stuff cleaning up the place.
- 42:24Oh. I was like, Man, I hope he follows that up, because, uh, that sounds
- 42:27really bad.
- 42:30He just stops.
- 42:32He made me do all kinds of disgusting things. It's
- 42:34like, oh, are you okay, buddy?
- 42:38Poor GuoHan. Yeah, no wonder you hate him.
- 42:41He's been through some stuff.
- 42:42He's been through us.
- 42:43I don't know, I just think you're not very trusting,
- 42:46Mika.
- 42:47Why would I be?
- 42:49At least she's honest about that.
- 42:51Well, I mean, this is a guy that Mr.
- 42:53Okaron specifically told us to go talk
- 42:56to. And if Mr. Okeron
- 42:59trusts him, I feel like we should as
- 43:02well.
- 43:02Yeah, but we never heard of him. Just because it was friends with him.
- 43:05Years ago doesn't mean there's a lot.
- 43:07Of people Mr. Okaron knows that we have never heard
- 43:10of.
- 43:11He seems like great father material.
- 43:13Not that I'm looking.
- 43:14Not that I'm looking.
- 43:17Here's the thing. Uh, old Mayu here is
- 43:20probably the father to many, but, uh, I didn't know he could
- 43:22hear.
- 43:28I have to go to the bathroom.
- 43:31It's right over that way there, little.
- 43:33Buddy guo runs
- 43:36up scampers,
- 43:38scampers, hiding his face.
- 43:42Uh, the general continues. He says yes.
- 43:44Uh, the specialist isn't expected
- 43:47until tomorrow morning, so we have a narrow
- 43:50window tonight to break into the facility.
- 43:52Specialist is, uh, a fire Nation guy?
- 43:55Yes.
- 43:55Do you know who it is?
- 43:57Yes. Our sources
- 44:00tell us that they've called for none other
- 44:03than Wang Long. No.
- 44:06What?
- 44:07Wang Long?
- 44:09General Wang Long? Yes. We've,
- 44:11uh, had dealings with him quite a few times,
- 44:14actually. Uh, sora you're familiar with him? And she
- 44:17goes know him.
- 44:18He was a guy Brock and I had to get through in order to escape that prison
- 44:21camp.
- 44:23He ran the prison? He ran the prison camp, if I
- 44:26remember right.
- 44:27Uh, so you were the first. The first
- 44:30to outsmart him and one of the last.
- 44:33He's kind of spent his time ever since then
- 44:35hunting down members of the rescue team
- 44:38squadron. It's become sort of his personal
- 44:41goal. And apparently he's talked to the
- 44:44Fire Nation leaders, and they've kind of allowed him that as
- 44:47an assignment to just specialize
- 44:50in us, I guess.
- 44:52So he ran a prison camp?
- 44:54Yeah, he ran a prison camp.
- 44:56Is that all he did? No, that's not all.
- 44:58I think that was his beginnings in the Fire
- 45:01Nation leadership, you could say.
- 45:04Oh, I know of
- 45:07him, but that's not how he started.
- 45:11How do you know of him?
- 45:13Well, last I heard of the guy, he was taking a bunch of
- 45:15weapons over to the Earth Kingdom to go destroy
- 45:18countrysides. Well, he
- 45:20used did he do that, too?
- 45:23Take down the city that he turned into
- 45:26a prison camp?
- 45:27So he did do that?
- 45:28Yes. It was a horrible, horrible thing.
- 45:32He, uh, moonlighted, uh, as a prison camp
- 45:34warden. The
- 45:37memory is a little fuzzy. It's been so long
- 45:40since I've tried to repress it
- 45:43in my mind.
- 45:45So my eustops were he's like, wait a minute. So let me
- 45:47get this right. So timeline. You got this
- 45:50guy Wang Long becomes some sort of big shot. For
- 45:53whatever reason, in the Fire Nation has a
- 45:56bunch of big mass weapons
- 45:59of destruction built over the Fire Nation
- 46:02brings them across the water into the Earth
- 46:05nation uses them to attack the village that
- 46:08Brock apparently lived at.
- 46:11Turned it into a prison camp where Brock was
- 46:13held. We send Sora in to
- 46:16bust him out, and,
- 46:19well, I guess the rest is history. Well, not just
- 46:22you. Uh, just to clarify, there
- 46:25it was.
- 46:25The whole got everybody?
- 46:27Yeah. Wow.
- 46:30And then, of course, Bill,
- 46:33you knew about the weapons and stuff?
- 46:36Yeah.
- 46:37Really?
- 46:37I was apparently on the ship with the
- 46:40weapons. Really? Yeah.
- 46:42What a small freaking world.
- 46:45Yeah.
- 46:45And then we ran into pirates.
- 46:47Who's we? You and Wang Long? No.
- 46:50Okuron.
- 46:52Get out of town. Mr. Okeron was on the
- 46:55boat with you and Wang Long and
- 46:58the weapons, correct?
- 46:59Yeah.
- 46:59Holy crap. Give me a moment,
- 47:02everybody. Just give me a moment. I'm thinking on this
- 47:05one. Wow.
- 47:07Yeah. It's a small world, isn't it?
- 47:09Talk about origin stories. I gotta
- 47:12say.
- 47:15You couldn't write it any better.
- 47:17You couldn't write this any more.
- 47:19Connected. Hold on, hold on. Whoa. Do you know
- 47:22Wang Long?
- 47:27Mika. Do you know Wang Long? No,
- 47:31I just took a simple
- 47:35huh. Uh, all right, well, okay, we're not all connected, but hey, that's
- 47:38all right. That's all right. Uh, we're connected now. That's what's
- 47:40important.
- 47:41Are we?
- 47:42Sure? Yeah. I mean, we're all here. We all know Mr. OCar.
- 47:45Together. Yeah. Mr. Okaron. Yeah.
- 47:49All right. Yeah. I wonder if Guo knows
- 47:51him.
- 47:52Maybe Guo knows a lot of people.
- 47:55Maybe he likes going to carnivals. Then maybe Guo know him.
- 47:58Maybe Guo comes back from the bathroom,
- 48:01smells like connecting exposition in here.
- 48:07You've heard of my
- 48:09cologne?
- 48:10Miami turns to you and he's like, guo,
- 48:13I got a story for you. And he just starts, like,
- 48:16relaying that quietly to you in the corner while
- 48:19the rest of you guys are all sitting around the plan.
- 48:22No, that's his name?
- 48:26Yeah. And he didn't like people making and.
- 48:28Then you just see Maya Yinyu kind of, like, stops for a second, and
- 48:31he's like, what? I didn't even
- 48:34think about that. What a stupid name. Can
- 48:37you imagine parents? Maybe that's why he turned
- 48:40into an angry, hateful Fire Nation
- 48:43general. I guess that'd do it to
- 48:46me, too.
- 48:47Wait, so is that the
- 48:50guy who sold the scepter? No.
- 48:55That was the Pirate Captain, uh, that
- 48:58later attacked the ship.
- 49:00I don't know Wing Long, do I?
- 49:02No. Okay. Your
- 49:05backstory is only the furthest disconnect.
- 49:09Only two of us know Wang Wong.
- 49:11Yes, I've heard rumors of Wang
- 49:14Long.
- 49:15I've heard of.
- 49:20The locker room.
- 49:23I never thought I'd hear that name again, though.
- 49:25Uh oh, yeah, uh, he's become a pretty
- 49:28big thorn in our side, that's for sure.
- 49:30How long has he been terrorizing the Earth Kingdom?
- 49:32Oh, man. Well,
- 49:35let's see. The planning that he was initially
- 49:38doing leading up to it probably spanned back
- 49:42a decade. Almost.
- 49:44He's been growing for a while, but now we think he's at his
- 49:47peak.
- 49:49Stop, whatever the case.
- 49:53Uh, yeah, he's been terrorizing. Would have been, like,
- 49:56is he the only five years
- 49:58maybe?
- 49:59Is there other Fire Nation
- 50:02dudes generals who are terrorizing
- 50:05the Earth Kingdom, or is he, like, one of the lead ones?
- 50:07He's kind of one of the lead ones.
- 50:10That's the biggest difficulty that we've been having with,
- 50:13uh, the rescue team squadron is he
- 50:16just keeps attacking these border
- 50:20to the ocean cities, these small little
- 50:22cities, earth Nation
- 50:25cities out on the outskirts of the Earth
- 50:28Kingdom. And
- 50:31they just claim that we're dealing with pirates
- 50:34or we're doing this or stopping criminals
- 50:37or so and so is a refugee from the
- 50:40Fire Nation mainland and all this other stuff. And
- 50:42so higher ups in the
- 50:45Earth Kingdom just don't take it seriously.
- 50:48And they're prone to agree with these
- 50:51Fire Nation claims to try to
- 50:54avoid any kind of major confrontation when we
- 50:57know the truth is they're trying
- 51:00to take over. I mean, they're doing things to try
- 51:03to take over. And
- 51:06like I said, that's been our biggest challenge, is trying to relay that
- 51:09and help people understand that this is a lot more
- 51:12than just a few little attacks here and there.
- 51:15This is something big.
- 51:20I've heard tell that they're doing some
- 51:23crazy stuff out in the secluded
- 51:25air nomad, uh,
- 51:27areas. Um, some pretty dark
- 51:30stuff, but we just don't have any
- 51:33connections out there. I mean, they're so secluded. North,
- 51:36south, east, west. All the air
- 51:39temples are just so distant.
- 51:42Wow. So we can only hope and pray that whatever's
- 51:44happening out there isn't
- 51:47the rumors.
- 51:48So are there Fire Nation people inside your old
- 51:51base?
- 51:52Um, there's probably a couple of guards posted out, but I
- 51:55don't think there's anybody. Like I said, the Specialist doesn't get here
- 51:58till tomorrow. I don't think it's going to be a huge issue to
- 52:01get in there, get the stuff, get out, so long as we do it
- 52:03fast. Like I said, as soon as the Specialist gets here, he's bringing
- 52:06probably a small squadron himself. They're going to be
- 52:09well armed, they're going to be well trained. It's going to be a
- 52:11hassle.
- 52:12You think he's bringing more weapons?
- 52:16Big weapons? Yeah, probably. Uh,
- 52:18not at the moment. He's probably coming from another Earth
- 52:21Kingdom area. Um, like I said, they called him
- 52:24in because this is kind of his specialty. We are.
- 52:28So we got to move fast.
- 52:29Yes.
- 52:30Tonight.
- 52:31Tonight? Yes. Huh? Here soon. Honestly,
- 52:34probably next couple of hours, if.
- 52:35You guys let's go.
- 52:36Willing to be a part of it. Yeah, maybe. Like I said.
- 52:39Sure. Um, they kind of point out,
- 52:42uh, this diagram of this
- 52:45facility that they used to have. Um, there's
- 52:48a variety of different areas leading from front to back.
- 52:50There's kind of this medical, um,
- 52:53facility. There's a Guild space where they had, like,
- 52:56the tanners and the Blacksmiths and so on and so
- 52:59forth that were putting the weapons together for them. They had an armory, they had a
- 53:02training area, they had stables. Uh, there was the living
- 53:05quarters for the members because this was just
- 53:08a base for the rescue team squadron
- 53:11team. Right. This whole city that they've got going
- 53:14on down here, I mean, it's so much bigger. And they've
- 53:17got refugees and people that have survived
- 53:19attacks that just don't have anywhere to go, things like that, living here. But this
- 53:22was explicitly for just the rescue team
- 53:25squadron. Uh, they had bathhouses
- 53:28and of course they had like a big front courtyard. And
- 53:31overlooking that was a large building
- 53:33that kind of sort of encompassed the
- 53:36outside of this courtyard. And
- 53:39there's a small room in the top of that. That was the
- 53:42command center. And that's where the plans are being stored.
- 53:45He said, uh, unfortunately we made
- 53:48it so that you really can't come in through the back. There's no
- 53:51openings, there's no windows or whatnot in the back. So unless we
- 53:54broke something down, which obviously that would alert the
- 53:56guards, it's going to be kind of tricky to get in there
- 53:59from that end, but, uh, we could definitely hit it from the
- 54:02side, pop in from one of the windows,
- 54:06like I said, run in there, grab the plans, bada bing, bada
- 54:09boom. Be out of there, uh, by midnight. No big
- 54:11deal. Uh, if you guys are down for that.
- 54:14Sounds good to me. Sounds like a plan.
- 54:16Let's get out of here.
- 54:18Uh, as you guys are kind of nodding and he's like, well,
- 54:21hey, if you guys are ready, we can head on
- 54:23now if you guys are cool with that.
- 54:26Sure.
- 54:26Yeah, I'll go. Uh, you guys
- 54:28go. I mean,
- 54:31smaller team is probably better.
- 54:33Yeah, let's just us go.
- 54:35So like, uh, pulling a mission like this
- 54:38off, that's got to be worth like two
- 54:40badges.
- 54:42Yeah. And the General goes,
- 54:46m sure we'd be willing to, uh,
- 54:49yes, absolutely. It's an important mission. We'd be willing
- 54:52to give you respectable badges to
- 54:55represent your achievement. If you can
- 54:58bring back to plans, not get caught, so
- 55:01on and so forth.
- 55:03Of course. Yes.
- 55:05All right. I didn't know badges meant so
- 55:08much to you, but, uh, I'll have them ready.
- 55:11He's collecting a wardrobe. A
- 55:14wardrobe from, uh, all of our
- 55:16adventures.
- 55:17Trophies.
- 55:18You saw the hat?
- 55:20No.
- 55:23Yeah, he lost the hat. He had
- 55:26Dilbert as a hat, though.
- 55:27That's true.
- 55:28Where is Dilbert?
- 55:29Probably just he's right here. He's tired from all
- 55:32that.
- 55:33Ah, that's true. Awesome.
- 55:36Um, as you guys are kind of know, hands in
- 55:39the middle, break kind of level energy. Turning
- 55:42around. Ready to go. Mika. Uh, ah,
- 55:45you hear a voice no.
- 55:48As you turn around and it
- 55:51simply says Mika. And
- 55:54you turn around and none other than
- 55:57your dad shut up. Is standing
- 55:59there and he
- 56:02sees you and
- 56:05his legs literally just, like, tremble,
- 56:08and he just falls. Like, he just buckles. They can't keep
- 56:11him up anymore. Um, and he just holds out his
- 56:14hands.
- 56:14He's like, Mika, is that really.
- 56:20Um.
- 56:23Just I just fall to the ground where I'm at.
- 56:26Oh, man, this is really awkward.
- 56:30You're both just laying on your knees there
- 56:32and reaching out to each other, and neither of you is able
- 56:35to okay, fine.
- 56:38I have to pinch myself, though, to make sure I'm not.
- 56:42He picks himself up and he just runs
- 56:45over to you and he gives you a big old hug.
- 56:47He says, Mika,
- 56:50uh, I never thought I'd see you again.
- 56:54I thought you were dead.
- 56:57I, uh, thought you were dead.
- 56:59You're the one who disappeared in
- 57:02a giant avalanche.
- 57:06Woke up at the bottom of the mountain covered in
- 57:08snow. And I spent days just digging through the
- 57:11powder in hopes that you were okay.
- 57:14But I never found you. So I
- 57:17figured you must have come down on a different slope.
- 57:20And I went searching, thinking you must have gotten
- 57:23lost in the woods. I spent a week
- 57:26wandering through the woods, hoping maybe I'd
- 57:29find you or even some tracks
- 57:31that you left behind. I ran into three
- 57:34hunters that claimed they saw a witch that was disguised
- 57:37as the little girl.
- 57:39I came across some weirdos, but they are mean.
- 57:44They said this witch caused them
- 57:47a lot of trouble, and I was glad to
- 57:50know you were still safe.
- 57:51Thanks.
- 57:53But I don't understand. Where did you go?
- 57:57How did you get here?
- 57:59Um, I found some old man, and he
- 58:02took care of me for a while.
- 58:03Well, that's certainly
- 58:06a strange direction to go,
- 58:10but as long as he took good care of you
- 58:13yeah, I worked.
- 58:14At his tea shop for a while.
- 58:16You worked at a tea shop?
- 58:17But now he's dead.
- 58:20Oh, I'm sorry to hear
- 58:22that. I wish I could have had
- 58:25the chance to thank him for taking care of
- 58:28you.
- 58:28There's cat nod on my head
- 58:31and, uh, you guys spend some time kind of sharing
- 58:34your stories up until this point back and forth. He tells you
- 58:37about how after he couldn't find you, he managed
- 58:40to sort of make his he just kind of wandered into
- 58:43Udao, and
- 58:45the people know he saw the Fire Nation
- 58:48influence and such like that. He heard some of the stories about what was
- 58:51happening and how they were attacking,
- 58:54even to the Water Tribe. Um, and he knew that wasn't
- 58:57safe, and he wanted to be a part of trying to stop
- 59:00them, but he also wanted to be a part of finding you. And they talked
- 59:03about how, uh, he managed to find members of the
- 59:05Rescue Team squadron. And they talked about how they had
- 59:08some, um, organizations that would go out to some of
- 59:11these cities and towns that were being attacked or were
- 59:14under some level of fire nation control.
- 59:17And he volunteered to be a part of that in hopes that maybe one of these
- 59:20towns that he would get sent to, he'd find you
- 59:23there. And
- 59:25he chuckles about how ironic it is that
- 59:28he's been on this away team so much, and yet
- 59:31he finds you right here in the rescue team
- 59:34squadron base, and he thinks
- 59:38whatever gods or spirits or whatever are, out
- 59:41there that he was here now because he was
- 59:44gearing up to leave in the next couple of days for another
- 59:46mission out to another town. And he's like,
- 59:49man, if I had missed you and
- 59:52you went on your way and that whole thing had been missed
- 59:55and he found out about it somehow, he would just
- 59:58be a little bit torn apart, but also, to some extent,
- 1:00:01happy to know that you
- 1:00:04but, um, nevertheless, you guys share this touching
- 1:00:06moment. And eventually, uh, Mayu
- 1:00:09Yinyu walks over and he says, well, I don't mean to break
- 1:00:12up this beautiful reunion,
- 1:00:15uh, between father and daughter, but then don't.
- 1:00:21And, uh, your dad says, oh, no.
- 1:00:23Mika, it's all right. Mayu has been a close friend
- 1:00:26and was a big part of getting me involved in the Rescue Team
- 1:00:29squadron. Mayu, what can I do for
- 1:00:32you?
- 1:00:32He says, well, uh, we were actually getting ready to head out.
- 1:00:35I wasn't sure if Mika was going to come with us. I mean, you'll still be
- 1:00:38here when we get back, so, um, not to, like
- 1:00:41I said, pull her away while you guys are having such an important
- 1:00:44reunion, but, uh, we can get that done and
- 1:00:47then come back here and then
- 1:00:49go from there, if that works for you guys. It'd be great
- 1:00:52to have, from what your father's told me, a
- 1:00:55pretty talented waterbender on our
- 1:00:58team.
- 1:01:02He can just come with.
- 1:01:04Well, I
- 1:01:07could come with you all if you'd
- 1:01:10like.
- 1:01:11Okay. Let's go.
- 1:01:12All right. Sure.
- 1:01:14All right. So you've recruited your dad.
- 1:01:18He's going to come along. It's going to be interesting.
- 1:01:21Awesome. Sounds good. So, uh, there's
- 1:01:23actually a sort of Earth elevator that you guys
- 1:01:26take to get back up to the surface. And Mayu
- 1:01:29says, uh, yeah, this is, uh, usually how we get back up.
- 1:01:32We like to come down the chute, uh, because
- 1:01:35it's really secluded and hidden and stuff. But,
- 1:01:38uh, we like to leave through this because it's more
- 1:01:40direct and, uh, it's
- 1:01:43a little bit more convenient. Um, but we usually don't use
- 1:01:46the elevator both ways because we don't want to draw
- 1:01:49suspicion. So
- 1:01:52just to justify that, because I'm sure you guys are sitting
- 1:01:55there wondering, like, well, why didn't we just come down this way?
- 1:01:57I mean, the slide was fine. Slide was fine.
- 1:01:59Can't blame it was great for morale.
- 1:02:02Exactly. And we haven't had any incidences with it, which is
- 1:02:05a good sign. Yeah.
- 1:02:06The elevator is okay, I guess.
- 1:02:11Are you hoping for, like, an up roller
- 1:02:14coaster.
- 1:02:16Of course, Bill.
- 1:02:18All this is being said as you.
- 1:02:20Guys slowly make your feel like rocks. Like you're like Cipher
- 1:02:23rock elevators. Like.
- 1:02:30It doesn't matter as long as it's a rock rock
- 1:02:33man. Awesome maker. Who's.
- 1:02:35This guy kind of freaked
- 1:02:38out when you saw him.
- 1:02:39No offense, old man, but, uh oh, no problem
- 1:02:42whatsoever. I'm very glad to meet all of you. I'mika's
- 1:02:45dad.
- 1:02:46What?
- 1:02:48It's my dad.
- 1:02:51I'm going to whisper to Mika.
- 1:02:53I thought you said your dad's dead.
- 1:02:55No, I never said that.
- 1:02:56Okay, you didn't have a dad.
- 1:03:04That, uh, random goth chick that was on
- 1:03:07the Wild Coyote board, you, uh, told
- 1:03:10her you didn't have a dad. You guys were bonding over
- 1:03:12it, sort of. Because she had a dad.
- 1:03:15How can you be so sure? It's not like
- 1:03:18three fox dogs in a waterbender cloak,
- 1:03:21is it?
- 1:03:25Oh, uh, this is a bit
- 1:03:28awkward.
- 1:03:29That's a hairy cat.
- 1:03:30Okay.
- 1:03:33Calf.
- 1:03:35That's a hairy cat. Is it my
- 1:03:38dad?
- 1:03:39Is it my dad or is it just three fox
- 1:03:42dogs?
- 1:03:43It's just three cats.
- 1:03:46Oh, don't worry, Mika. Your dad
- 1:03:49says, Three fox dogs.
- 1:03:55You seem so sure he was dead.
- 1:03:58He seems so sure I was dead.
- 1:04:00Well, I never gave up hope,
- 1:04:03he.
- 1:04:04Says as he puts his hand on your shoulder. Wow.
- 1:04:06Now, how long ago was this?
- 1:04:08Probably like a year. Yeah, probably like a year, maybe not
- 1:04:10even. Mika was one of the last
- 1:04:13orphans to kind of be taken in by Mr. Oakland.
- 1:04:16I ain't no orphan. Now, that's true.
- 1:04:20Uh,
- 1:04:28see, that was one of the biggest struggles I had when I had
- 1:04:31to write the description, is I'm like four
- 1:04:34orphan, moody teenagers. And I was like, well, they're
- 1:04:37not really orphans, but there's not really a word for
- 1:04:39it.
- 1:04:40Parentless.
- 1:04:41Parentless.
- 1:04:43I suppose mine could be out there, too.
- 1:04:46That's true.
- 1:04:47I never knew my parents.
- 1:04:48I mean, I guess orphaned kind of.
- 1:04:50Just they're kind of just a dust
- 1:04:52streaked memory in my mind
- 1:04:56way back.
- 1:04:57There, getting real deep.
- 1:04:59Uh, Mika's dad kind of, like, looks over
- 1:05:02at Glow and he says, well.
- 1:05:03Hey there, little buddy. Maybe someday you'll
- 1:05:06find your parents. Maybe
- 1:05:09they're out there looking for you right now.
- 1:05:11I don't know if I'd want to.
- 1:05:15You could come live with us. My
- 1:05:18dad will drop you.
- 1:05:23I have to go to the bathroom.
- 1:05:26We're in an elevator
- 1:05:29at this point, and my union has been, like, just kind of leading you
- 1:05:32guys towards where the old base is, but yeah.
- 1:05:35I got to go to the bathroom. Oh, uh, do you need
- 1:05:38to use, uh, the?
- 1:05:42Yes. Yes, I do.
- 1:05:44All right, everybody, I know it's only been five
- 1:05:47minutes in walking, but, uh, let's take a short break so that
- 1:05:50Guo can go to the bathroom because, hey, nobody wants
- 1:05:53to do a mission while you had a full bladder.
- 1:05:56It is a bladder thing. Yeah. Oh, okay,
- 1:05:59good. All right. Should be a short break, everybody
- 1:06:02polishes nose. Uh,
- 1:06:05Guo goes to the bathroom real quick and then comes back, and
- 1:06:08Mayu continues to lead you guys on
- 1:06:11as you guys approach the area where
- 1:06:14this rebel base, this old rebel base,
- 1:06:16rather, is located at. Um,
- 1:06:19Mayu Yinyu stops and he says,
- 1:06:22quiet, I hear something. And
- 1:06:25he looks over at Mika's dad and he gives him a
- 1:06:28nod. And using some of the very
- 1:06:30capable, sort of Water Nation trained stealth
- 1:06:33tactics, mika's um dad kind of just disappears into some
- 1:06:36bushes very quietly, and a couple moments
- 1:06:39later, he comes back and you can hear voices kind
- 1:06:42of up ahead. Someone, uh, seems to be,
- 1:06:45um, shouting orders at people. And he comes back and he
- 1:06:48says, I'm not sure what happened, but it seems
- 1:06:51we're too late. The specialist, Wang
- 1:06:54Long is already here. And with
- 1:06:57that, we'll end episode eleven.
