  Speaker 1: your day is by taking some time with God. And

  Speaker 1: we love doing that every weekday at this time, just

  Speaker 1: opening the Bible and saying, God, do you have something

  Speaker 1: to say to me in my life, because I want
• 0:24
  Speaker 1: to build my life around you. And since He is
• 0:27
  Speaker 1: the Maker of our lives and the designer of the
• 0:29
  Speaker 1: whole universe, it's probably a good thing to build our
• 0:32
  Speaker 1: lives around Him.

  Speaker 1: In fact, don't you find in your own life that
• 0:37
  Speaker 1: when you build your life around God and His way
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: of life, that the other areas of your life come
• 0:43
  Speaker 1: into place and into focus, they fit in their rightful
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: place in your life.

  Speaker 1: And when you kind of push God away and just
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: do things your own way, don't you so often just
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: mess things up and things get out of balance in
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: your life? Shouldn't that teach you there's nothing more important

  Speaker 1: than your relationship with God? So let's start the day
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: by listening to God, and we want to talk this
• 1:06
  Speaker 1: week on the theme of biblical love, and we want
• 1:11
  Speaker 1: to go to the great chapter on love, probably read
• 1:14
  Speaker 1: at every wedding.

  Speaker 1: And that is 1 Corinthians 13, and just listen to
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: what the apostle Paul says to the Corinthians.

  Speaker 1: If I speak with the tongues of men and of

  Speaker 1: angels but do not have love, I have become a

  Speaker 1: noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

  Speaker 1: And if I have the gift of prophecy and know

  Speaker 1: all mysteries and all knowledge and if I have all

  Speaker 1: faith so as to remove mountains but do not have love.

  Speaker 1: And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor.

  Speaker 1: And if I deliver my body to be burned or

  Speaker 1: self-sacrifice for others.

  Speaker 1: But I do not have love.

  Speaker 1: It profits me nothing. Wow. Thinking about what Paul says here,

  Speaker 1: you can't help noticing, can you, the importance of love.

  Speaker 1: It's more important than what you say, more important than knowledge,
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: more important than generosity, more important than self-sacrifice. It's really.

  Speaker 1: Quite contrary to our human nature, isn't it? We long
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: to be eloquent when we talk and to be looked
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: up to for our good deeds and our unselfishness. We
• 2:39
  Speaker 1: approve of education and getting knowledge. If only we valued
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: God's kind of love in the same way and gave
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: it that place of importance in our lives. Love.

  Speaker 1: You know, you can't just generate love, can you? It

  Speaker 1: doesn't just, it, it's not something you can just work

  Speaker 1: up inside of you.

  Speaker 1: The kind of love you need to express in your life,

  Speaker 1: it comes from God.

  Speaker 1: Don't think you can just become a loving person by

  Speaker 1: willpower and thinking that's what I need to be. Build

  Speaker 1: your relationship with God and ask God to begin loving
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: people through you. What do you think today? Who are
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: you going to see today?

  Speaker 1: In your family, in your neighbourhood, at work.

  Speaker 1: How could God love those people through you?
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: What a great way to approach your day. It makes
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: your day so much more significant, so much more meaningful,
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: and how much those people will enjoy being around you
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: when you're not just trying to get out of your
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: relationships with them, but you're giving into your relationships with them. Awesome.
