  talking about Elon Musk and the fact that he said he sent ders

  to hospitals. So he had bought 1255,

  FDA-approved ventilators from Chinese oversupply and ship them

  to hospitals in LA to help treat covid-19 patients.

  Now, that's what he said but there's some hospitals for

  hospitals actually that told CNN, then instead of

  ventilators. They received a thing called a
• 0:56
  BiPAP, which is a bi-level positive airway pressure, and

  they also received CPAP continuous positive airway
• 1:05
  pressure machines from Tesla in Elon Musk.

  Now, that being said, they also said that they can convert these
• 1:14
  machines into what they need into ventilators that they need.

  And they said we receive 6C paps and we are very grateful for the
• 1:22
  gift. So that's what somebody said at
• 1:26
  the hospital and from this interaction, is that at the
• 1:33
  time, you know, Elon Musk said, okay, we sent these things out,

  we ordered them. We're all good, we helped you
• 1:40
  guys out. So here you go.

  No big deal, we have tons of money, we have billions of

  dollars. Just take these things.

  People need some help. Now, Governor Gavin, Newsom

  reported that the ventilators must promise, never made it to
• 1:54
  their destinations. So, Elon Musk went on sort of a

  Twitter, tirade, and he said, it was a misunderstanding and that

  the governor should fix this because you'll end musk came
• 2:10
  through with a slew of evidence. The said they were delivered.

  I don't know where this Gavin. Newsom guy is getting his

  information from Though because it's not right, Elon Musk gave

  all the information that everybody will ever need to show
• 2:25
  that these things were delivered properly.

  Now, some of these units are used for breathing and Airway
• 2:31
  support and and they reduce the need for certain patients to be
• 2:36
  placed on mechanical ventilation.

  And while they do help Breathing by paps and see paps aren't
• 2:42
  ventilators, and they cost a lot less than ventilators.

  A CPAP machine costs about Hundred dollars and by paps cost
• 2:50
  about $1200 and ventilators. They can range from twenty
• 2:56
  thousand dollars to fifty thousand dollars each.

  So CPAP and BiPAP zweig 500 to 1200 ventilators, high-end

  ventilators are up to about fifty thousand dollars a piece.

  So while these things do help, they're not exactly ventilators,

  you know, they're not the same thing as what a hospital would

  use as As a ventilator. So in some terms, Elon Musk was

  right? But in other terms, you didn't

  actually deliver ventilators. And, you know, I'm a big

  proponent of Elon Musk, think he does great things and this time

  he didn't do it. Exactly, you know, like he said,

  he was gonna do but he did provide a service for free and

  it did definitely help. Now, there's another thing

  that's happening and this is on the SpaceX front and this is

  So it's possible that they could stay at the space station for

  110 days or they could just stay up there for a week and go.

  We tested everything. Do we need to test up there in

  space station and let's bring them home and get this done and

  then we'll send up the next mission.

  joint operations Commander for the mission or he was going to

  be the joint operations Commander for this Mission.

  And he's responsible for activities like Rendezvous and

  docking undocking and demo2 activities.

  While the spacecraft is docked to the space station.

  He was selected as a NASA astronaut.

  These are SpaceX astronauts, these are NASA astronauts, and

  he was selected in 2000 and he's been on to space shuttle.

  Flights already bank and flew on the sts-123 in the sts-130 and

  he's going to be going to the space station in a crew.

  Dragon capsule in a really cool space suit to a SpaceX space

  suit now Hurley. He's going to be the spacecraft

  Commander for this demo to Mission and he's responsible for

  activities, launch landing and recovery and he's an astronaut

  that his had a little history with NASA as well.

  He served as pilot and Lead robotics operator for sts-127 in
• 8:51
  2009 and sts-135 which was the final space shuttle mission in
• 8:56
  July of 2011. So we've waited almost ten years

  for this to happen so he was this is pretty cool because I'm

  from New York. Endicott is where her Leah's

  from pretty close to me. Pretty awesome.

  That he's sort of a local hero here so they're going to be
• 9:14
  launching from 39a on a specially instrumented Falcon, 9
• 9:21
  rocket crew, Dragon will accelerate to approximately
• 9:24
  17,000 miles per hour and then put it on an Interceptor course
• 9:29
  or an intercept course with the International Space Station.

  And once it gets into orbit, The SpaceX Mission Control will
• 9:37
  verify the spacecraft is performing as intended.

  And it's going to be checking environmental control systems
• 9:44
  displays control systems and also maneuvering thrusters
• 9:48
  amongst a bunch of other things. And in about a day 24 hours, the
• 9:54
  crew Dragon will be in position to Rendezvous and dock with the
• 9:57
  space station. So this is going to be a long

  long day for me and I really hope you guys show up because

  it's going to be an Exciting. And it's going to be historical.

  It's a historical thing that you'll only see once in your

  lifetime, once in a lifetime event.
