- 0:15sixty five days a year. We hope you enjoy this message. An old
- 0:24man passes away peacefully in his sleep after a long illness. His wife calls
- 0:30the county to come pick up his body. The county operator answers, yes,
- 0:36ma'am, We're very sorry for your loss. Can you tell me your
- 0:39address? Yes, we live at one forty eight Eucalyptus Street. Can you
- 0:47spell that for me? Asked the operator. Why oh no, wait,
- 0:54that's not right. Eyc No, that's not right either. Tell you what.
- 1:00I'll just drag him over to Oak Street and you can pick him up
- 1:03there. Our mindset and perspective can have a great impact on whether our viewpoint
- 1:22is positive or negative. We can see a glass as half full or half
- 1:27empty and forget to be grateful for the very fact that we have a glass.
- 1:34We will talk about this in this week's episode of Positively three sixty five,
- 1:38but first we have our trivia question of the day. Are you ready
- 1:42for it? Here it is which country borders fourteen nations and crosses eight time
- 1:53zones? We will have the answer when we come back. Do you enjoy

- 3:07to this week's trivia question? The question was which country borders fourteen nations and
- 3:15crosses eight different time zones? The answer Russia. Now you know, teaching
- 3:31yourself to think from a more positive perspective can help you face the challenges of
- 3:38life. Shifting your perspective isn't an easy process, but there are a few
- 3:45things you can do that will help. First, reframe your thoughts. An
- 3:50easy way to find a positive perspective in any area of your life is to
- 3:55reframe your attitude towards everyday situations. Instead of mentally telling yourself that you have
- 4:03to do something, you can find a silver lining by telling yourself that you
- 4:10get to do it. For example, saying I have to clean the house
- 4:15has a negative connotation since it frames cleaning the house as an unwonted responsibility.
- 4:23On the other hand, saying I get to clean the house reframe the chore
- 4:28as something you're looking forward to, emphasizing the value of having a place to
- 4:34live in the first place. Using a positive mindset to reframe tasks in your
- 4:42daily life is a great way to change your perspective and improve your mental health.
- 4:48Second, recite a positive inner monologue. It's normal for yourself talk to
- 4:56focus on negative thoughts, so make an active effort to use the power of
- 5:00positivity to change your inner monologue for the better. Every day, set a
- 5:08reminder to think positive thoughts in order to increase your confidence and make you feel
- 5:14happier. You can even write and recite a long positive affirmation for each morning,
- 5:23and third, view situations from a different perspective. When you're upset due
- 5:29to the actions of someone else, it's often quite helpful to look at the
- 5:33situation from a different angle. Considering the situation from the other person's point of
- 5:40view may help you to emphathos and understand why they may have acted the way
- 5:46they did. Have a change of perspective. When you get home and see
- 6:02your house untidy and meet dirty dishes in the sink, before you shout at
- 6:09your children, consider the millions of people who would die for a house with
- 6:14children to make it untidy. Their homes are clean, but they are sad,
- 6:19and those dirty dishes in the sink are a reminder that you have food
- 6:25not only to eat, but also to feed your family. There are people
- 6:30whose plates are clean because they have no food, So celebrate inwardly and outwardly
- 6:40you can gently correct your children. A change in perspective can make all the
- 6:48difference. Thank you for joining us today. Please consider taking a moment to
